"What makes a hero? Courage? Powers? These are the questions that would be asked about those unlikely few who have stood against the greatest threats this world has ever faced. Conflict, as the armies of Darkseid and Thanos swept over the earth. As the world's forces tattered on the brink of destruction, a new hope arose, an elite international team of heroes, their mission, to end the war, push back the invaders and restore liberty and freedom to all nations. 
The Justice Force: legends, gods, adventurers, earth's mightiest heroes." 


"Who fought for truth, honour and justice for a generation. Under their watch the world recovered and today even though the age of heroes has ended they will never be forgotten."  

"And that concludes our history lesson for today, class" Principal Celestia said, when the documentary have finished.

The school bell rang, signalling the end of the school day. 

The CHS Main Seven along with Starlight Glimmer, Princess Twilight's student from Equestria, walked home all together. 


"Can you believe the JSA weren't the only team of heroes?" Rainbow Dash, exclaimed "there was an amy of heroes,"

"It certainly a lot to take in," Sunset nodded.

"I think the best bit was their fabulous costumes," Rarity noted.

"It's kind of overwhelming, when you think about it," Fluttershy continued.

"Some heroes don't even have powers just look at Batman," Pinkie added.

"Who?" Starlight asked.

"Batman," Pinkie replied, "you know the Dark Knight, The Caped Curseder."

"Nope, sorry." Starlight answered.

"He's the hero I was assigned to research for homework." Pinkie retorted.

"Right, we were all assigned different heroes to research." Twilight confirmed, "I got Mister Miracle, one of the smartest beings on earth."

"I got Captain America," Applejack carried on, "the sentinel of liberty."

"I got Flash," Rainbow Dash continued, "the scarlet speedster."

"I got Thor," Rarity continued, "the Goddess of Thunder."

"I got Supergirl," Fluttershy continued, "the girl of steel."

"I got Captain Marvel," Sunset continued, "the hard hitting, high flying Avenger."

"and got some guy call Aquaman," Starlight finished, "what kind of hero fights with water and can talk to fish?"

Soon the girls went their separate way to their homes, Starlight going with Sunset as the two shared a house.

"I wonder where those heroes are now?" Sunset pondered, in her head.



The City of Metropolis.


"Nice evening," Lois Lane remarked.


She noticed her husband Clerk Kent, a.k.a. Superman. 


Out on the balcony of their apartment, looking out at the city and the busy streets.

"You OK?" Lois asked, as she joined on the balcony.

"Yeah," Clerk replied, "I just miss the old days when..." he sighed.

Lois smiled, she understood, "I know," she said.

"You talked with Kara or Conner?" she asked.

"Kara's got too much work since she was promoted to Kat Grant's personnel assistant so she hasn't had time to talk," Clerk replied, "and Conner hasn't left the farm since pa died."

"The change hit him pretty hard," Lois remarked, "working on the farm was the only way he know he could leave the government behind."

Clerk was about to answered, his head snapped up, one of his many powers was super-hearing, he could hear the sound of someone crying for help.

"I know you want to help," Lois said, putting a hand on Clerk's arm, "but you know what happens if you do."

"Yeah," Clerk replied, "I just hate standing by and doing nothing."



New York, Stark Tower


"Anything to report, Friday?" Tony Stark asked, his building's AI system, Friday.


"Nothing, boss," Friday replied, "just a robbery in progress, police are on their way."

Tony sighed and poured himself a drink, sat down and looked sadly at one of Iron Man armours.



Back with the girls

Twilight was in her room, on her laptop, searching up her assigned hero finding out Mister Miracle's backstory and powers.

After she had finished, she remembered what Hal Jordan from the other universe had said, that he was from an alternate universe.

"I wonder," she thought, she typed down Hal Jordan's name into the search engine. She hit search button and gasped.



Central City.


Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash, looked out at the city from his home.


"How are you doing?" his best friend Cisco Ramon a.k.a. Vibe asked.


"Oh, hey, Cisco," Barry replied, "you know me, I'm fine."

"Yeah, your not a very lier, Barry" Cisco replied.

"Sorry, Cisco," Barry responded, "I was just thinking about the days of The Flash." 

"I know, Barry," Cisco nodded, "I miss my hero days too, so does Wally and Jesse."

Both of them sighed.



An ally way.

"Please, please don't hurt me," Lazlo Valentin a.k.a. Professor Pyg pleased.


"Lazlo Valentin, your soul is stain my the blood of the innocent," Ghost Rider a.k.a. Johnny Blaze said, holding the thug up against the wall.


Ghost Rider was about to perform his Penance Stare. 

Suddenly a chain shot out of nowhere, "What the....?" was all Ghost Rider could say, as the chin hit him and making him let Professor Pyg go.

Ghost Rider turned to where the chain had come from, the owner of the chain dropped down into the ally. 

It was anti-hero Spawn a.k.a. Al Simmonds, The demon-warrior who conquered Hell itself.


"Stand aside bud," he ordered, "this one's mine,"

"You have no business here, hellspawn," Ghost Rider replied, "the guilty must be pay for their crimes." 

Before, ether of them could continue, they noticed Professor Pyg trying to escape.

"You don't get off that easy," Spawn said, he his cape moving, as if it were alive, wrapping itself around Professor Pyg's leg and dragging him back towards Spawn.

Spawn was about to kill the villain, before Ghost Rider interrupted him. Lunching his chains at Spawn, coursing him to drop Professor Pyg, letting him slip away.

"I told you before," Ghost Rider snarled, "you have no business here, hellspawn."

"I don't take orders," Spawn growled, "especially from creeps like you."

Both Spawn and Ghost charged at each other.



Back with the girls

Everyone was in bed and asleep.

Twilight had to let her friends know what she had discovered.

The next day, lunchtime at CHS.

"You girls finished your homework assignments?" Twilight asked, as her joined her friends with her lunch.

The others all nodded, "Can you believe that Flash got his powers from being struck by lighting and falling into some chemicals?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"That seems like kinda of a stretch," Starlight commented.

"Supergirl was sent to our world when she was just a child," Fluttershy continued, "It's kind of overwhelming."

"Yeah," Applejack acknowledged, "like how Captain America was just an ordinary man until the Super Solider Serum."

"If all these heroes are so well known," Starlight said, "then why aren't any of them around?"

"That's what I've found out," Twilight interjected.

"What do you mean, Twi?" Applejack asked.

"I mean that I found the cause of why there aren't any superheroes around anymore," Twilight replied.

"How did you find out that?" Rainbow Dash questioned.

"Last night, I searched up Hal Jordan and I discovered that he was the reason that all superheroes were forced to step down," Twilight answered.

"How can you be so sure?" Rarity queried.

In response Twilight brought out her laptop and showed the girls a article from a website.

"Superheroes used to be common place," Twilight explained, "the government mostly overlooked all superhero activity, there were a few big battles, but they was ignored."

"Then what happened?" Sunset asked.

"The superhero battle started to get more and more out of control," Twilight continued, she pulled up some videos, "New York, Washington DC, Sokovia, Halle Airport and Metropolis."

The girls watched the videos of the battles in amazement.

"But then one of the heroes, Hal Jordan, went insane after two super villains completely destroyed his hometown of Coast City," Twilight carried on, "he left earth for a long time, but when he returned he had changed."

Underneath the article was a picture.


Twilight pointed to the picture, "he had renamed himself Parallax and had become a being of limitless power, he tried to destroy the earth, until The Justice Force managed to take him down."

To further her story Twilight pulled up another video clip, this one showing Parallax's showdown against The Justice Force.

"Ooo, that's got to leave a mark," Rainbow Dash remarked, as Parallax was blasted by Iron man's uni-beam attack.

The smoke from the blast cleared, Parallax wasn't even phased by the attack, "You'd think," Twilight said, grimly.

The rest of the video showed Parallax tossing heroes such as: Captain America, Wonder Woman, Sentry and Hawkman like rag-dolls.

"After that the government declared that all heroes were a threat to humanity," Twilight stated, when the video had ended.

"So, thats why we haven't seen or heard of The Justice Force until now," Sunset concluded, "because they were all forced to retire by the government."

"Right," Twilight nodded, "some heroes are still active, but they work for the government as a special taskforce."

"Wait," Fluttershy, interjected, "we have superpowers does that mean we're a threat too?"

A hush fell over the girls, all of them in deep thought about what they discussed.

The thoughts of the girls, were interrupted when a teenage girl walked up to the girls lunch table.

"Any of these seats taken?" the girl asked, gesturing to the empty seats on the girls the table.

"Not at all," Sunset replied.

The girl sat down at the table and started eating her lunch, "You new to CHS?" Applejack asked.

The girl nodded, "Just started today, I transferred from Jersey City," she replied.

"Well," Rarity said, "let me and my friends be the first to welcome you to Canterlot High."

"Thanks," the girl smiled, "I'm Kamala Khan, by the way."

After they had finished their lunch, the girls headed to their classes.



CHS, the Soccer pitch.

"Well, lookie what we got here," Spitfire, captain of CHS's soccer team, declared, "we got a lot of newbies, here."


"Bet y'all think you're Wondercolt material, don't ya?" she continued, looking over the new students.

"Yes, ma'am!" All the new students responded.

"Well then. Let me be the first to tell you..." Spitfire carried on, "You don't! If you had what it took to be on the team, you'd already be a Wondercolt! Still think you're something special?"

"No, ma'am," the students answered. 

"Yes, ma'am," answered, a voice.

"Who said that?!" Spitfire demanded.

"I did ma'am," the owner of the voice replied.

"Alright, looks like we've got hotshot here," Spitfire said, looking the student dead in the eyes, "What's your name, newbie?" she barked.

"Pietro Maximoff, ma'am," the student replied.


"You think you got what it takes to be the best of the best?" Spitfire asked.

"If you give me a chance, I'll prove I am, ma'am," Pietro replied.

"You want a chance to prove yourself, huh?" questioned Spitfire.

"Yes, ma'am," Pietro answered.

"Well then, now's your chance," Spitfire responded, looking over her aviators.

She turned to Rainbow Dash, who was standing with the Wondercolts team, "Rainbow," she ordered, "since you're the top player, show this newbie how its done."

Rainbow Dash nodded, taking up a position at one of the goals on the pitch, "Don't think I'm going to go easy on just because your a newbie," she smiled.

"Don't, it wouldn't be fun," Pietro replied.

He started dribbling the ball towards Rainbow Dash, she readied herself to tackle.

But, before she could tackle the ball from him, but Pietro seemed to move faster then she could react.

In mere seconds Pietro had manoeuvred around Rainbow Dash and scored a goal.

Spitfire, The Wondercolts team and the new students all stared as Pietro proceeded to scored goal after goal.

When he finished Pietro turned to face the stunned students and Spitfire, "What, you didn't see that coming?" he asked.



Elsewhere

Sunset and Twilight were on their way to their next class. When they noticed a teenage girl being harassed by some bullies.

"Mutant! Freak!" the bullies jeered.

Suddenly, the girl got angry and two blades sprang from the back of her hands. The bullies, backed away from the girl as she advanced on.


"Now, you punks are going to get it now," the girl growled, "now you've got me angry!"

She raised her claws, the bullies ran terrified.

"STOP!" Sunset cried, running up to the girl.

The girl froze, her claws retracting, "what happened?" she asked.

"You were going to attack them!" Twilight answered.

"I'm so sorry," the girl said.

With tears in her eyes, the girl ran off down the hallway.



Ryker's island.

The Dazzlings matched down the hallways of the prison

"Ok, you three," the prison warden said, as he followed behind them, "you'll find that this place works differently than Arkham Asylum."

Adagio, Aria and Sonata didn't answer, in a few minutes they arrived at The Dazzling's cell.

"Try and get along with your cellmates," the warden finished, as he closed the door to the cell.

"This is just great," Adagio fumed, "we've gone from one prison to the next."

"I have to agree," Aria replied, "how could this get any worst?"

"I don't know," Sonata, commented, "I think that some of the people at Arkham were nice."

"Because they were stupid like you," Aria retorted.

Sonata turned to her fellow siren, angry at her comment.

"Are you two done?" a voice asked, before Aria and Sonata could continue their argument.

All three turned to see one of their cellmates, Adrian Toomes a.k.a. Vulture.


"You three must be new to Ryker's," he continued,  

Adrian was followed by The Dazzling's second cellmate, Arthur Parks a.k.a. Living Laser, "Don't worry in a few minutes we're busting out of this joint," Laser finished.


"And how are we going to do that?" Adagio asked.

"Word around the prison is," Adrain replied, "someone on the outside, is breaking us out."



Elsewhere

"I've finally done it," Noah Kuttler a.k.a. Calculator smiled, as his finger danced over his computer keyboards.


After a few more minutes of typing, Calculator finished hacking into the security systems of all the supervillain prisons.

"Time to cause some chaos," he smiled.

He pressed the final key on his keyboard, "now it begins," he said.

Iron Heights Penitentiary

The supervillain team, The Rogues, were sitting in their cells, waiting.

"Any moment now," Leonard Snart a.k.a. Captain Cold murmured.


"I hate waiting," his fellow rogue, Mick Rory a.k.a. Heat Wave, grumbled, as he paced back and forth.


Just after Mick had said that, the lights in the cell flickered and the doors to all the cells opened.

Leonard and Mick smiled at each other, they walked out of their cell. Along with the other members of The Rogues: Mirror Master, Abra Kadabra, Weather Wizard, Trickster, Pied Piper, Multiplex and Golden Gilder (Snart's sister) and the other Iron Heights inmates.



Arkham Asylum

The power outage had continued to spread

"You find a cell for that Professor Pyg guy?" a guard asked.

"Yeah," his compatriot replied, "when they brought him in he was rambling on about monsters."

The lights in the cell flickered and the doors to all the cells opened.

Suddenly, all of the worlds most twisted and insane criminals, stormed from their cells.

"The world will know fear," Dr. Jonathan Crane a.k.a. The Scarecrow, smirked, as he stormed out of his cell.


"Now mankind will feel the icy touch of death," Dr. Victor Fries a.k.a. Mr. Freeze, declared.


"Watch till they get a load of me," The Joker smiled, "ready or not here I come Batman."


One of the guards tried to sound the alarm, but was gassed by The Joker's joker venom, he fell to the floor laughing uncontrollably, with a nightmarish grin plastered on his face.  



The Cube

The lights in the prisons flickered and the doors to all the cells opened.

All the cells had suddenly shut down, releasing all the super-powered villains.

"Come on, boys!" Dirk Garthwaite a.k.a. Wrecker, smiled.

He and the rest of the supervillain team The Wrecking Crew: Bulldozer, Piledriver and Thunderball, rushed out of their cells.


The other villains followed their lead.

Carl "Crusher" Creel a.k.a. Absorbing Man, transforming his body into metal, by touching the bars of his cell, and smashing his way out.


He was followed by another team of villains The U-Foes (Vector, Ironclad, Vapor, X-Ray), using their powers, overwhelmed the guards.


The other inmates: Bi-Beast, Madman, The Leader, Abomination and Zzzax, all stormed from their cells and through the prison personnel.



Ryker's island.

The lights in the cell flickered and the doors to all the cells opened.

"Showtime," Vulture smiled, as the door the cell opened.

"Wow, you weren't kidding," Adagio said.

"Darn right," Living Laser nodded, he blasted the door to the cell, his powers come from his own body which was made entirely of photons.

The Dazzlings along with Vulture and Living Laser exited their cell.

"Maybe you were right, Sonata," Aria smiled, "people in prison are nice."

The other Ryker's inmates: Shocker, Doctor Octopus, Electro, Chemistro, Griffin, Grey Gargoyle and The Serpent Society (King Cobra, Anaconda, Bushmaster, Death Adder, Rattler and Constrictor), dashed out of their cells and headed for the outside.

Vulture, The Dazzlings and some of the inmates headed for the prison's storage section.



Washington DC, The White House.

"Mr. President," the secretary said, as he rushed into the Oval office, "someone has hacked into the security systems of every prison across the world." 

He handed the President a report on the supervillain breakout, after reading the report the President picked up one of the telephones on his desk.

"Osborn, Waller, assemble your teams," he said, "we have a situation."

He put the phone down and turned to the secretary, "call up the operatives, Osborn and Waller will need all the help they can get."



Back with the Calculator

"So the governments is adding more pieces to board," Calculator smirked, as he watched the government special taskforce consisting of: Captain Atom, War Machine, Red Rocket, Captain America (Sam Willson), Agent Venom, Quake and Red Hulk.

Along with Norman Osborn team: The Thunderblots: Songbird, Radioactive man, Swordsman, Juggernaut, Bulleye and Moonstone. Amanda Waller's team: The Suicide Squad: Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, Black Manta, King Shark and El Diablo.

"Time to add the government's trump cards to my hand," Calculator said, continuing to smirked, started typing on his keyboards.



Ryker's island

The Dazzlings, Vulture and some of the other Ryker inmates arrived at the prison's storage section.

"Shops open, people," Vulture said, as he and the others forced their way into the room.

Vulture along with the other inmates grabbed their gear: Doc Ock re-attaching his cybernetic tentacles, Chemistro grabbing his alchemy gun and Crimson Dynamo suiting up in his armoured suit.

"I'm guessing you three can't fly," Vulture said, as he strapped on his flight suit.


"Well, obviously," Aria replied, as she and other two Dazzlings grabbed their necklaces, they look like their old ones but had no magical power whatsoever.

Vulture thought for a moment, then turned to another criminal Franklin Hall a.k.a. Graviton.


"Franklin, care to give one my friends a lift?" he asked.

Graviton nodded, with that Vulture turned to Anton Vanko a.k.a. Crimson Dynamo, "Alright, time make a great escape." he declared, in response Crimson Dynamo fired a blast from his suit at the ceiling.

With that Vulture's wing unfolded and he, Crimson Dynamo, Graviton and The Dazzling (the three girls being lifted by Graviton), rocketed out of the prison.



The Cube, outside

Red Hulk, King Shark and Juggernaut were approaching the Cube, "You ready to dance kid?" General Thunderbolt Ross a.k.a. Red Hulk asked.


"I'm ready for whatever," Nanaue a.k.a. King Shark replied, "just stay out of my way."


"Who cares!" Cain Marko a.k.a. Juggernaut roared, "I wanna smash something!"


Without another word Juggernaut charged into the Cube.

Red Hulk face-palmed, "hard-head," he groaned.

Drawing his dual hand cannons he and King Shark entered the Cube, though the hole Juggernaut made in the wall.



Iron Heights.

"Alright, everyone," Colonel James Rhodes a.k.a. War Machine said, as he, Rocket Red, Swordsman, Songbird and Black Manta, stood outside the prison, "We can't let any of the prisoners make it past us."


"Agreed," Dmitri Pushkin a.k.a. Rocket Red nodded, "we hold the line here."


"We strike hard and fast," David Hyde a.k.a. Black Manta declared, drawing his trident. 


"Agreed," nodded Melissa Joan Gold a.k.a. Songbird.


"Whatever," Andreas von Strucker a.k.a. Swordsman commented, drawing his sword.


Soon enough, the Iron Heights inmates surged though the prison gates.

"Remember," War Machine said, as the inmate rushed towards them, "no casualties."

"Roger," Rocket Red, nodded.



Arkham Asylum

"We have our orders," Daisy Johnson a.k.a. Quake said, as she and her team stood ready outside Arkham.


"Alright, time to knock some heads," Harleen Quinzel a.k.a. Harley Quinn smiled, readying her wooden mallet.


"Being on your guard," Karla Sofen a.k.a. Moonstone barked.


"Osborn may have made you field leader of the Thunderbolts," Sam Wilson a.k.a. Captain America commanded, "but here you answer to Quake and me."


"Of, course Captain," Moonstone smiled, "I must have forgotten."

Before the Harley could comment, they heard the sound of the Arkham inmates approaching.



Ryker's island

The finale team consisting of: El Diablo, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Bullseye, Radioactive man and Songbird.

The team was being lead by Agent Venom and Captain Atom.

"We can't let any inmates leave the island," Flash Thompson a.k.a. Agent Venom, ordered.


"Agent Venom is right," Nathaniel Christopher Adam a.k.a. Captain Atom nodded, "if just one of these criminals get off the island, it will means big trouble for the mainland."


"Whatever you say," Bullseye replied, a psychotic smile on his face.


"Make sure you don't miss," George "Digger" Harkness a.k.a. Captain Boomerang smirked.


"I never miss," Bullseye growled, drawing twin sai.

"Same here," Floyd Lawton a.k.a. Deadshot nodded, reading his wrist-mounted machine guns.


"I really think I should be with Red Hulk and the others," Chen Lu a.k.a. Radioactive man commented.


"If you were with Red Hulk," Agent Venom replied, "then Absorbing man would be a hundred time more dangerous."

Radioactive man was about to argue, but didn't, he know Agent Venom was right.

"Keep your distance," Captain Atom said, "don't use you powers unless you need to."

"You don't need to worry about me," Chato Santana a.k.a. El Diablo answered.


With that, the team stood ready to face the inmates, everyone of them waiting for battle.

The Cube

"Come at me!," Red Hulk roared, as he blasted the escaping villains

Both Juggernaut and King Shark fought as hard as they could against the villains.

"Prepared to trampled by the Juggernaut!" Juggernaut cried, as he faced off against Bulldozer.

Bulldozer laughed, "A Juggernaut is nothing compared to a Bulldozer."

Juggernaut growled and charged straight at Bulldozer.



Iron Heights.

War Machine and his team faced off against the escaping inmates.

"We don't want to hurt you," Rocket Red said, as he faced off against James Jesse a.k.a. Trickster.


"Funny," Trickster smiled, "we really want to hurt you." He hurled a rubber chicken at Rocket Red.

He dodged the object, "That's it?" he asked.

Songbird faced off against Lisa Snart a.k.a. Gold Gilder, dodging the villain's blasts from her gold gun, firing blast of sound at her.


Swordsman and Black Manta slashed their way though clones of the villain Danton Black a.k.a. Multiplex.


"There's no end to them!" Swordsman fumed, as he slash at another clone.



Arkham Asylum

Quake, Captain America and their team were locked in battle with the inmates.

"You'll soon end up like all the others," Bane snarled, as he threw punch after punch at Captain America, "broken."


Captain America blocked all of Bane's punches with his shield and then throw it at Bane's face.

Quake faced off against the villain Basil Karlo a.k.a. Clayface.


"I'm gonna squashed you, lady!" Clayface roared.

"Sorry, I'm not ready for a mud mask, just yet," Quake replied, firing powerful waves of vibrations at the villain.

Meanwhile, Moonstone faced Eric Needham a.k.a. Black Spider, firing energy blasts at the villain.




Ryker's island

Agent Venom, Captain Atom and their team battled against the escaping prisoners.

"Keep fighting," Captain Atom declared, dodging attacks from Dr. Gregor Shapanka a.k.a. Blizzard.


"Captain Atom is right," Agent Venom nodded, as he held his own against Herman Schultz a.k.a. Shocker, "we are holding them back."


Both Bullseye and Deadshot faced down Anthony "Tony" Masters, "No matter, how good you are," Taskmaster smirked, "I'm always one step ahead."


Radioactive man faced off against William Baker (or Flint Marko) a.k.a. Sandman, the villain merged his hands into a hammer and a blade.


"You can't even touch me," Sandman laughed, as Radioactive man's blast when straight though him, "and there's nothing you can do about it."

"Plenty I can do," Radioactive man replied, the area around the two seemed to get hotter.

"Ever wonder what happens to sand when it gets hot?" Radioactive man asked.

Elsewhere Captain Boomerang faced off against Frederick "Fred" Myers a.k.a. Boomerang. 


"Are you ripping me off?" Boomerang asked, throwing his boomerangs.

"I was going to ask you the same thing," Captain Boomerang replied, also throwing boomerangs.

"When I get off this island," Boomerang retorted, "I'm gonna sue you for infringing on my schticks, I'm definitely getting a patent or trademark or something."

"You and me both, copycat," Captain Boomerang growled.

The two boomerang based villains charged at each other.



Back with the Calculator

"And that's the last one," Calculator smiled, he had finished disabling all the nanite bombs and nanochains in all the members of The Thunderbolts and the Suicide Squad.

"Now to set them free," he continued, starting to type again.

The Calculator's voice and face was broadcast in all of the prisons, "My brothers and sister in arms, for too long we have been kept locked up like animals in cages, but no more! I have released you from your shackles, you will no longer be slaves to the government, no longer having to live in fear of our lives being on the line, this world is ours! And we will take!"

The Calculator watched, with a smile, as the members of The Thunderbolts and the Suicide Squad turned on the government heroes.



Iron Heights. 

The Rouges, Black Manta, Swordsman and other inmates stood over the defeated War Machine, Rocket Red and Songbird.

"What now, boss?" Heat Wave asked.

Captain Cold thought for a moment, "I think we should leave our friends with a little parting gift," he replied.

Using his cold gun Captain Cold froze War Machine and Rocket Red from the neck down, rendering them immobile.

"What about her?" Dr. Samuel Joseph "Sam" Scudder a.k.a. Mirror Master asked, pointing at Songbird.


"Maybe she'd like to join us," Citizen Abra a.k.a. Abra Kadabra suggested.


"I'll never join you!" Songbird cried, "my days of being a villain are over."

"In that case," Tricker smiled, he strapped a strange device to Songbird's wrist, "try using that sonic ability of yours and the sound triggered bomb will blow you and your two friends sky high."



The Cube.

"Give Vapour a kiss," Vapour smiled, as she, Juggernaut, King Shark and the other inmates stood over the defeated Red Hulk.

"Not in a million years, lady," Red Hulk growled, he was held in place by Ironclad.

The leader of the U-Foes, Vector, smiled and Samuel Sterns a.k.a. The Leader stepped forward.


"You belong to us, now," Leader said, using his mental powers to control Red Hulk's mind.

Red Hulk tried his hardest to resist The Leader's mental control, "submit," The Leader commanded.



Ryker's island.

The last of the government's taskforce was taken down easily.

Both Agent Venom and Captain Atom were trying to fend off the inmates along with the freed Thunderbots and Suicide Squad members.

"We are seriously outnumbered here," Agent Venom cried, as he dodged Captain Boomerang's projectiles.

"Agreed," Captain Atom nodded, as he evaded attacks from Aleksei Sytsevich a.k.a. Rhino.


"Time for the grand finale," Frank Payne a.k.a. Constrictor smiled.


He nodded at Maxwell Dillon a.k.a. Electro and Morris Bench a.k.a. Hydro-man.



"Light it up, boys," Constrictor declared.

The two villains moved in to attack the heroes together.

Hydro-man covered the ground under them with water, Electro finished by charging the water with electricity.

The two heroes couldn't react fast enough, the electricity shot right into them.



Arkham Asylum.

The Arkham inmates, Moonstone and Harley Quinn stood over the defeated Quake and Captain America.

"Whatcha your going with them, Puddin?" Harley asked.

"How about was we some smiles on their faces," Joker said, laughing maniacally.  



Some time later back with the girls.

The girls have met up with other teenage heroes and were now having a slumber party at Pinkie's house.

Some of the girls were talking about how they got their powers and how they got their lantern rings.

"You alright?" Jean Grey a.k.a. Phoenix asked, she had noticed that Sunset was on her own, while the others were talking.

"Yeah, it's just my friends and I have been given special powers and our rings for a reason," Sunset replied, "and I don't know if I'm even worthy of this power."

Sunset looked at the white lantern ring on her finger, "I understand what you're going though," Jean answered, "I have a power inside me and I don't know if it's bad or good."

Sunset smiled, relived to know that someone was having same problem as her.

Meanwhile Pinkie was talking with Gwendolyn "Gwen" Poole a.k.a. Gwenpool, "So we're comic books characters where you come from?" Pinkie asked.

"Yeah, you were just a spin off of a TV show that has now gotten two more movies in recent time," Gwen replied.

"Wired," Pinkie answered.

Rainbow Dash and Pietro Maximoff were playing a video-game against each other.

"Darn, lost again," Rainbow Dash groaned, as her game character was defeated.

"Oh, don't feel bad," Pietro said, "it's just a game."

"I hate losing," Rainbow Dash muttered.

"How about another round?" Pietro asked, "unless you think you can't beat me."

"You know what, Pietro?" Rainbow Dash smiled, "you're on."

Lastly Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, Twilight and Starlight were talking to Donna Troy, Piotr "Peter" Rasputin a.k.a. Colossus, Mary Batson a.k.a. Mary Marvel, Riri Williams a.k.a. Ironheart and Sam Alexander a.k.a. Nova.

"So Wonder Woman is like a big sister to you?" Rarity asked.

Donna nodded, "After my parents died, Diana is the only family I have."

"Well," Rarity smiled, "think of me and my friends as your family too,"

"Thanks," Donna replied, "after the ban Diana kinda disappeared on me."

"If you're looking for work, me and my brother are looking for some help on the farm," Applejack was saying.

"That is very nice offer," Piotr replied, "maybe I'll take you up on that offer."

"So, what was it like being a superhero?" Fluttershy asked.

"It was the best thing ever," Mary smiled, "the best adventure me and my brother ever had."

"So you design your own Iron man armour," Twilight said, excitedly, "you have to let me take a look at it."

"You seem like your trying to distract yourself from something," Riri commented, "you can tell me what is it."

Twilight sighed, "My friends were given the lantern rings and I wasn't," she replied, "None of the lantern rings chose me, I must have been unworthy."

"Just because you weren't picked to be a hero, doesn't mean you can't be a hero in your own way," Rir replied, "I invented the suit I use to become a hero."

Twilight felt her spirits being lifted by what Riri had said.

Starlight and Sam were talking about Sam's powers and his backstory.

The group were interrupted when Limestone Pie, walked into the room.


"You guys should probably turn on the TV," Limestone said, "there's some sort of mass prison breakout on the news."

The Mane Seven and the teen heroes all dashed down to the living room and turned on the TV, all of them crowding around it to watch.



Iron Heights. 

"Alright," Captain Cold said, "funs over boys, time to make our move."

He turned to Mark Mardon a.k.a. Weather Wizard, "how about a ride out of here?" he asked.


Weather Wizard nodded, using his weather wand to conjure up a cloud for them to escape.

Suddenly, an object came flying towards them, pinning Weather Wizard to a wall.

The Rouges and the other inmates turned to where the object had come from.

From out of nowhere, a figure with a crescent moon on his chest and wearing hood and cloak charged at the escaping villains.

"Beware, scum," the figure said, "you face the wrath of the Moon Knight."

Arkham Asylum.

"Well," Joker said, "I think that's all the fun we can have with these two."

"Time for us to leave?" Harvey Dent a.k.a. Two-face asked.


"Yes," Joker agreed, "But before that, what say we leave our friends here with something to remember us by."

The Joker nodded to the Scarecrow, he injected the two heroes with his fear toxin, using the needles on his right glove.

With that, The Joker, the inmates and the former Suicide Squid and Thunderbolts members prepared to leave.

Just as they were about to leave, there was a movement in the shadows.

"Someone's there," Thomas Elliot a.k.a. Hush said.


Something moved.

"We've got company," a terrified, Edward Nigma a.k.a. the Riddler commented.


From out of the darkness, a bat-shaped projectile came flying at the villains, hitting a nearby wall.

"What's going on?" Moonstone asked, trying not to freak out.

Then a shadow fell on the villains, a bat-shaped shadow and voice spoke.

"If you know whats good for you," the voice commanded, "you will turn around and go back to your cells."

"It's him, isn't it Puddin?" Harley asked.

"Oh, yeah," Joker smiled, "it's the bat."

A figure dropped down from the asylum's roof.



The Cube. 

"Well, gentleman," Leader smiled, "I think its time we made our exit."

As the villains were about to make their escape, a voice called out.

"Stop right there," the voice cried.

"Someones on to us," Emil Blonsky a.k.a. Abomination growled.


From out of nowhere a shadow moved.

"Return to your cells," the voice called.

"Show yourself, coward!" Vector shouted.

Suddenly a dark figure dropped down from behind the villains, it was ShadowHawk.



Ryker's island

"Ok, everybody," Cletus Kasady a.k.a. Carnage smiled, "time to make like bananas and split."


"Agreed," Steven Mark Levins a.k.a. Jack O'Lantern nodded.


Suddenly there was a roar of an engine followed by a voice, "Hear me, sumbags."

From out of nowhere a 1968 Dodge Charger tore though the villains and screeching to a halt, the tires of the car were flaming and flames erupted from the cars air intake.


The door to the car opened and a figure with a flaming skull, and wielding a chain weapon, stepped out.

"Who's this guy?," Brock Rumlow a.k.a. Crossbones asked.


"I'm your worst nightmare," the figure responded.

"Your not my nightmare, buddy," Eric Williams a.k.a. Grim Reaper growled.


Grim Reaper charged at the figure, techno-scythe raised to attack.

The figure simply grabbed Grim Reaper's scythe and tossed him aside with little effort. 

"Finale warning," the figure said, "return to your cells or face the agony of all the innocents you have harmed."

"Like, heck, we will!" Ulysses Klaw a.k.a. Klaw cried.


Klaw fired a blast from his sonic blaster arm, which the figure dodged with ease.

"You've made your choice ," the figure said, he hurled his chain weapon at the villains.



Back at Pinkie's House.

"This. Is. Awesome!" Rainbow Dash whooped, she and the others were watching the heroes deal with some of the villains.

The news presenter went on to named the vigilantes: Moon Knight, Batman, Shadowhawk and Ghost Rider along with others.

"Oh, I get it," Starlight said, "he's dressed like a bat, I like it."

The news presenter continued, saying that the four heroes as well as the others had been evading the law and were wanted criminals.

Along with that news presenter added that the breakout wasn't limited to the four prison but all prisons across the world. Prisons like The Cage, The Slab, The Big House, Blackgate, Ravencroft and Belle Reve to name a few had all shut down and releasing all of their inmates.

The TV then flashed to the prisons showing the escaping villains and a vigilante showing up to stop them:

First was Spiderman engaging the escaping inmates from The Cage.


Then there was Red Hood fighting off The Slab inmates.


Next was The Punisher shooting his way though the inmates from The Big House.


Followed by Nightwing Engaging the escaping inmates from Blackgate.


After that Deadpool shooting and slicing his way though the escaping Ravencroft inmates.


And finally, Green Arrow fighting off the escaping Belle Reve inmates.


The news presenter continued, saying that the villains that managed to escape before the vigilantes showed up had run into other wanted vigilantes.

The TV showed videos from around the world of the villain fighting the other heroes:

Dr. Walter Newell a.k.a. Stingray fighting Orm Marius a.k.a. Ocean Master.
 

Tatsu Yamashiro a.k.a. Katana crossing swords with Kenuichio Harada a.k.a. Silver Samurai.
 

Jeannine Sauvage a.k.a. Guillotine fighting Laura De Mille a.k.a. Madame Rouge.
 

Kaine Parker a.k.a. Scarlet Spider clashing with Red X.
 

Lucas Trent a.k.a. Midnighter squaring off against Prometheus.
 

"We have to get out there and do something!" Rainbow Dash cried.

"But we can't do anything," Twilight said, "we'd be violating the superhero restriction act."

"Who cares about rules!" Rainbow Dash retorted.

Before the two could argue any further the news reporter interrupted, saying that the villains: Black Adam, Deacon Frost, Destiny and The Hood were being intercepted by supernatural government teams B.P.R.D. (Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense) and the Howling Commodes.



The news continued, showing a video, taken of a camera phone, of Anung un Rama a.k.a. Hellboy squaring off against Teth-Adam a.k.a. Black Adam. 
 
"See what I mean?!" Rainbow Dash asked, "we have to pony up, get out there and take down those villains."

Before Twilight or any of the girls could argue with Rainbow Dash, a message began playing on TV.

"To all heroes of the world," a figure said, "30 years ago the mad titan Thanos and the ruler of Apokolips, Darkseid formed an alliance and invaded earth. The nations of the world had no army that could stop them, until they called on the aid of an international team of heroes, The Justice Force was born to combat the Chitauri and Parademon forces. We became the known as the people who pushed back and drove the gods away, people looked up to us they wanted to be like us...." the figure sighed, "look, you already know this," he carried on, "The government decided they were better off without us, they even call us criminals, they said we were no better than the super villains we fought, they torn the team apart." the figure paused for a moment, "But look around, someone has to do something, we have to do something, we can make a difference again, the world needs us now, more than ever....." "So," the figure said, leaning forward revealing himself to be Steven Rogers a.k.a. the original Captain America, "are you with us?" he asked, before the message ended.

"Anyone else think we shouldn't do anything?" Rainbow Dash asked.



Unknown location

Alarms sounded, prison staff and guards evacuated.

A pair of giant doors, with the words Solitary confinement, began to open and some yellow eye peered out.

"Free at last," a voice said.

The next day the girls and the teen heroes met up at Canterlot Mall, at the Sweet Snacks Café right next the Planet Krypton restaurant.

"That message last night reminded me of a cutscene from a videogame I played," Gwenpool said.

"Regardless of the message, we still can't do anything," Twilight insisted.

"Are you ready saying we should just sit back and do nothing?!" Rainbow Dash argued.

"We haven't even had proper training as heroes and we still don't know full extent of our powers," Sunset retorted.

"Are you serious?!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, she pointed at Colossus, "he can turn his body into steel," she pointed at Quicksilver, "he can moved faster than the eye can see," she pointed at Ironheart, "she has a suit of armour," and finally she pointed at Gwenpool, "and whatever it is you do."

"Nice," Gwenpool replied, sarcastically.

Before Rainbow Dash could argue any further, Pinkie appeared with their food.


As the friends ate their food Rainbow Dash and Twilight were still thinking about which one of them was right.

"Even if we do become heroes," Applejack said, "what are the chances that we're going to get branded as vigilantes like the ones on the TV last night?"

"Applejack makes a good point," Starlight nodded.

Even Jean Grey nodded, agreeing with Starlight.

"Who cares what anyone else think about us," Rainbow Dash stated, "what matters is that we're using our powers to help people."

Twilight was about to answer, but was interrupted by explosion, coming somewhere outside.

The girls along with the teen heroes dashed outside to people fleeing in terror.

The course of the panic floated into view, Magnus a.k.a. Magneto along with St. John Allerdyce a.k.a. Pyro and Dominikos Ioannis Petrakis a.k.a. Avalanche.
 

"You humans think you can just lock us mutants away and forget about us?!" Magneto thundered.

"Yeah, you humans think you can push around," Pyro snarled.

"Freeze!" cried a police office as he and his men surrounded the three, pointing their guns at the villains.

"You dare command me, human?!" Magneto roared.

The police officers open fire on the three.

But the bullets seemed to freeze in midair and fall to the ground.

"You still challenge the Master of Magnetism?" Megneto said.

The police ran for their lives with Pyro firing off blasts of fire behind them.

The girls and the teen heroes watched all this happing.

"We need to get in there and stop them," Rainbow Dash said, quietly.

"Hate to say it, but Rainbow's got a point," Applejack agreed, "We need to stop those three from tearing up the mall."

Twilight, Starlight and Sunset nodded in agreement.

"OK, first we need to find a phone booth," Gwenpool said.

"What?!" everyone else asked.

"You know, a phone booth, so we can change into our superhero costumes," Gwenpool replied.

"There haven't been phone booth around here for years," Applejack said.

"Didn't those vanish back 98?" Quicksliver asked.

"More 1973 to be precise," Twilight added.

"Whatever," Rainbow Dash interrupted, "the point is we need to stop Magneto and his goons."

The Girls and the heroes talk was cut short, they turned to see Pyro and Avalanche advancing on some civilians, while Magneto watched.

"Prepare to feel the burn," Pyro laughed.

"Me and Sam will stall them until you guy get into costume," Mary said.

"Right, be careful," Rainbow Dash nodded.

"You know what they say," Pyro laughed, "when you play with fire you're gonna get burned."

"Hey, you bullies," Mary cried, "leave them alone!"

Both Pyro and Avalanche turned to face Mary and Sam.

"Oh, look, Avalanche," Pyro smiled, "fresh meat for me to burn."

"The only burn you're going to feel is from the flames of justice," Mary replied.

Megneto raised an eyebrow "You humans must have a deathwish," he nodded at Pyro and Avalanche.

Both Pyro and Avalanche advanced on the two teens.

"Ready?" Mary asked.

"Always," Sam nodded.

As the villain rushed towards them, "What was the word, again?" Mary wondered aloud, "MAZAHS, MAZAM...."  Mary suddenly remembered "SHAZAM!" she cried.


In an instant a lighting blot shot from the sky hitting Mary, Transforming the moral Mary Batson into the invincible Mary Marvel.


Along with her, Sam Alexander donned his Nova helmet, transforming him into a operative of the Nova Corp.


"Nice trick kids," Pyro laughed, "but the two of you aren't enough to take us down."

"Then you won't mind us joining in?" a voice asked.

The three villains turned to see the girls and heroes, all powered up and in costume.

Magneto recognised Quicksilver immediately, "Pietro?" he said.

"Yeah," Quicksliver said, "hi Dad."

"HE'S YOUR DAD?!" Rainbow Dash cried, in disbelief.

"It's complicated," Quicksilver replied.

"Is this what you been reduced to?" Magneto continued, "allying yourself with our sworn enemy!"

"Your enemy dad!" Quicksilver shouted, "humans are your enemy!"

"You would stand with these humans rather than your own father?!" Magneto thundered.

"Theses humans are my friends," Quicksilver said, defiantly, "and if you want to get to them, then you have to go through me."

"So be it," Magneto replied, reluctantly.

He nodded to Pyro and Avalanche, "you know what to do." he said.

The two villains charged at the heroes.

"Do we have a plan?" Ironheart asked.

"Yeah, we stop the bad guys," Rainbow Dash replied.

"That does not sound like good plan," Colossus interjected.

"I have to agreed," Applejack nodded, "that doesn't sound like a plan at all."

"You got a better idea?" Rainbow Dash queried.

The girls and the heroes charged at Pyro and Avalanche.



Elsewhere

"Rogers message wasn't meant for you," Linda Lee, the wife of Robert Reynolds a.k.a. Sentry was saying, "this isn't your fight."

Robert said nothing, he continued to stare at a photo of him and other members of the Justice Force, in his hand.

His wife carried on, "you told me you gave the Justice Force everything and then it all fell apart. Why would you go back to being the Sentry?" she asked.

Robert's silence continued, as his mind went back 30 years ago.



30 years ago, just after the Darkseid/Thanos war.

The Sentry stood ready, Parallax had already taken out Captain America, Wonder Woman, Hulk and Hawkman.


Now it was down to him, the hero with the power of a million exploding suns.

There was the sound of fighting in the distance, making him head that way.

When he arrived, the sight that met his eyes was one of horror.

On the ground lay the bodies of the defeated heroes among others: Superman, Wonder man, Shining Knight and Black Knight.

The one responsible, stood over all the defeated heroes.

"Well, well," he smiled, "it's about time you showed up."

"Hal, you need help," Sentry said, "your not yourself."

"Hal?" the figure replied, "Hal Jordan is no more, you know me as Parallax."

Parallax advanced on Sentry, fists glowing with green energy.

"I'm not going to fight you Hal," Sentry responded, reluctantly.

"Well, then," Parallax smirked, "this should be over pretty quick."

Without another word Parallax rushed at Sentry, hitting him with enough force to send him flying into a nearby mountain.

"I will never fight a friend and ally," Sentry said, as he got back to his feet.

"Then that is you weakness," Parallax responded, "you won't dare hurt a friend."

Parallax raised his fist to strike Sentry again, "and you will die knowing, that for all your powers you won't be able to protect everyone from me." he laughed.

Parallax's fist came flying at Sentry's face, only for Sentry to catch it before it landed.

"If that's the way it has to be," Sentry said, slowly.

Before Parallax could react, he was hit by a powerful punch from Sentry.

"You know something, Parallax," Sentry commented as Parallax picked himself up, "I think I should thank you."

Sentry threw another punch at Parallax, sending him flying back.

"I feel like I live in a world made cardboard," Sentry continued, "always taking constant care not to break something, to break someone," Parallax threw a punched, which Sentry avoided, "never allowing myself to lose control," he carried on, "ever for a second or someone could die," he avoid another attack from Parallax, "but you can take it, can't you?" he said, throwing another powerful punch at Parallax, knocking him back, "what we have is rare opportunity for me to cut loose and show you just how powerful I really am."

Sentry then proceeded to throw punch after punch at Parallax.

As he was about to land the final punch, Sentry was blasted back by a powerful energy shot from Parallax.

"But for all your powers," Parallax laughed, "you still live in fear that the public will never accept you, like they did Superman."

"No, I'm not jealous of Superman," Sentry replied, "in time the public will learn to see me as a hero like him."

"Do you really believe that?" Parallax smiled, "do you really think the public will forget your dark side?"

"The Void is dead," Sentry responded, "he will never control me again."

With that, Sentry flew straight at Parallax, fists glowing with energy.



Back in the present

Robert looked at the photo of the him with the Justice Force and then at his costume, hanging in a cupboard.

"Why would you go back to the Justice Force, after all you've been through?" Linda asked.

Robert looked at the photo and then looked his wife in the eyes, "I have been called," he replied, "and I must answer."

Back at the Mall

The girls and the teen heroes battle with Magneto and his two actcompliceses was almost finished.

Both Rainbow Dash and Quicksilver were using their super speed to spin away the oxygen for Pyro's flames.

Meanwhile Mary Marvel, Nova, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Colossus were doing what they could to stop Avalanche's shockwave attacks.

Rarity provided her teammates with cover, using her diamond constructs, while using her lantern ring to fire diamond shape projects at him.

Fluttershy, like Rarity, was using her lantern ring to attack, conjuring up butterfly constructs.

Nova accompanied the two girls attacks by firing blasts of energy at Avalanche.

"Are you throwing cupcakes at him?" Mary asked, noticing how Pinkie was attacking the villain.

"I'm not throwing cupcakes at him," Pinkie Pie replied, "I'm assaulting him with cupcakes!"

Pinkie continued to throw cupcakes at Avalanche, which exploded in face.

Lastly Twilight, Ironheart, Sunset, Donna Troy, Applejack, Jean Grey and Gwenpool fought as hard as they could against Magneto.

"You cannot defeat me!" Magneto said.

"We can try," Donna replied.

"Ryuujin no ken wo kurae!" Gwenpool yelled, as she charged at Magneto with her twin katana.

Magneto, using his powers, grabbed both swords and shattered them.

"Well," Gwenpool said, "This is awkward."

Then she pulled two new sword out of nowhere, "good thing I carry spares." she smiled. 

Meanwhile, Ironheart flew straight at Magneto, firing her repulsor beams at him.

But the blasts simply bounced off of him, Magneto had magnetically shielded himself.

"Foolish human," Magneto smiled, "using a suit made of metal to attack the Master of Magnetism."

Using his powers, Magneto telekinetically manipulated the metal in the ground to immobilise Ironheart.

Next Donna Troy moved in to attack, only for Magneto rip a chunk of metal out of the ground to block her.

Donna simply punched her way through the metal and managed land a hit on the villain.

This was followed Twilight, using her telekinesis, to hurl the debris from the metal at Magneto.

All this was happening while Starlight watched helplessly from the sidelines.



Elsewhere

Steven Rogers a.k.a. Captain America sat in a chair wondering if any of the new heroes or any old members of the Justice Force had answered his message.

His pondering was interrupted by a news report showing an attack on a mall.

The news reporter was saying that some teenage meta-humans and mutants were engaging the attackers.

"Well," Steve thought smiling, "what do you know about that."

He continued watching the report, he watched the teens fight as hard as they could against the villains.

When the report finished, Steve looked at his costume and his shield.

"I think that retirement has just ended," Steve said, as he put on his costume and took up his shield.



Back at the mall 

The girls and the teen heroes had already defeated Magneto's two partners in crime and were now about to finish Magneto off.

Nova and Ironheart fired off rapid energy blasts at the Master of Magnetism, trying to wear him down.

Magneto tried shield himself, but the continued blasts of energy eventually took their toll on his shield.

"You're finished Magneto," Donna said, as she and others stood over the defeated villains.

"For now," Magneto replied.

Without another word, Magneto swapped up Pyro along with Avalanche and left the mall.

"Where'd he go?" Twilight asked.

"If I now him," Quicksilver replied, "he'll head back to his base on Astroid M."

"Sooo," Sunset said, awkwardly, "that was your dad?"

"Yeah," Quicksilver responded, "me and my dad have always had a..... restrained relationship."

"You have anymore family members you'd like to let us know about?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Only my sister Wanda," Quicksilver answered.

"You have a sister?" Fluttershy asked, "where is she?"

Before Quicksilver could answer, a group of solders surrounded the girls and the heroes.

"Freeze! Meta-human Suppression Squad, get you hands in air!" one of the solders commanded.

"You're in violation of the superhero restriction act," the leader of the solders finished, "we're taking you in."

As the solder moved in to cuff the girls and their friends...

"Stand down, soldier," a voice said.

The soldiers, their leader, the girl and the teen heroes all turned to see Steven Rogers a.k.a. the original Captain America walking in.


"Captain Rogers?" the leader asked, in disbelief, "this is unexpected."

"Might I ask, what's going on here?" Captain America asked.

"These enhanced individuals and mutants are violating the superhero restriction act," the leader responded, "me and my men are taking them in."

"I see," Captain America replied, "I'll take it from here."

"But Captain....." the leader began.

"I said, I'll take it from here," Captain America repeated, "I'm still a solder, like you, you can trust me."

The leader nodded and with that he and his men retreated.

"You kids alright?" Captain America asked, as soon as they all cleared out.

All the girls and the teen heroes nodded, apart from Rainbow Dash in stunned silences.

"Yeah," Starlight replied, "we're all OK tha...."

"Starlight," Rainbow Dash interrupted, "don't you know who this is?!"

"A man wearing costume and carrying a shield?" Starlight responded.

"It's Captain America!" Rainbow Dash answered.

"It's an honour to meet you," Twilight said.

"You didn't let me finish!" Rainbow Dash interrupted, again "He's the Living Legend, he once overpowered the Incredible Hulk!"

"Well, that was a long time ago," Captain America replied, "and those were under different circumstances."

"We saw your message last night," Applejack answered, "it was very inspiring."

"I saw how you girls and the JSA handled the black lanterns," Captain America responded. 

"A lot of time has passed since then," Twilight said, "much has changed."

"And today," Captain America continued, "I saw how you and your friends handled Magneto, and with the right training you could become real heroes. I want you, all of you, to be a part of the new Justice Force."

"This must be a dream," Rainbow Dash smiled, she quickly pinched herself to make sure.

"I'd like to invite you all to the Tower of Justice," Captain America carried on, "where you'll be given the training and experience you'll need to be proper heroes."

"I'll bring the cupcakes," Pinkie chipped in.



Washington DC, The White House.

The President sat at the head of the table in the war room. 

"Gentlemen," he said, "please tell me you have some good news."

There was some awkward mumbling among the members of staff around the table.

"We've managed to get the prisons security system back under control," someone answered.

"But we have another problem, Mr. President," someone else added, "he has escaped."

The President's face went white as chalk, "You're sure?!" he asked.

The member of staff nodded.

The President whipped the sweat from his face, "We have only one chance left, gentlemen." he said, finally.

Everyone around the table nodded, they knew the President was right.

"Sent in, Hyperion" the President ordered.

Captain America, the girls and the teen heroes arrived at the Tower of Justice.

"This place looks beautiful," Rarity said, looking at the tower's architecture.

"I can't believe it," Rainbow Dash squealed, "We're standing in the Tower of Justice!"

"No time to dwell on the that now," Captain America said, interrupting Rainbow Dash's fan-girling.

He walked up to a dusty-looking computer, "Computer you online?" he asked.

"Online, Captain Rogers," the computer replied.

Captain America smiled, pleased to see the systems in the tower still worked.

"Computer, put out the call," he ordered, "Code White."

Images of every Justice Force member appeared on the screen.



Across the world, heroes were answering the call.


Ronnie Raymond and Professor Martin Stein, fusing into Firestorm, the Nuclear Man.


Dane Whitman a.k.a. Black Knight, putting on his helmet, picking up his Ebony Blade and mounting Strider, his winged steed.


John Henry Irons a.k.a. Steel, putting on his armour, picking up his hammer and blasting off.


Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant man, putting on his suit and shrinking down.


Jefferson Michael Pierce a.k.a. Black Lighting, putting on his suit and heading for the tower.


Brian Braddock a.k.a. Captain Britain, putting on his suit and flying off.


James Jacob Harper a.k.a. Guardian, suiting up and grabbing his shield.


Christopher Powell a.k.a. Darkhawk, activating his armour and taking flight.


Michael Holt a.k.a. Mr. Terrific, activating his T-spheres and putting on his costume.


Jane Foster a.k.a. Thor, taking up her hammer, Mjolnir, and heading for Midgard.




Some time later.

Every hero from across the world had gathered in the Tower of Justice, along with some members of the JSA and other teams.

"Everyone," Captain America said, "thank you for answering my call."

"What's the big emergency here, Steve?" Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel asked, "What's the reason you called all of us here?"


Some of the other heroes shared her sentiment.

"For too long, we have followed the government's rules thinking it was the right thing to do." Captain America carried on, "but now, we must remind the world and make them realise that they need us now more than ever."

"Why should we help the government?!" Jessica Jones asked, "after they turned their backs on us?"


Everyone nodded in agreement.

"They called us criminals!" Simon Williams a.k.a. Wonder Man shouted.


"They said we were responsible for creating the supervillains we fight!"  Raymond C. Terrill a.k.a. The Ray added.


By now, everyone was shouting and arguing with each other.

"This is getting really bad," Applejack said, "we should do something."

Then suddenly, "Alright, everybody, STOP!" Twilight Sparkle's voice cried out.

All eyes turned to see Twilight. "I know you hate the world after what it did to you," she continued, "and I know you don't want anything to do with it anymore," she sighed. "I'm not asking as a hero, but as a person, I'm asking you all to put your hatred of the world and government behind you, I'm asking you to forget how badly you've been treated in the past, to think instead of the present and the future. What state are we in? A state of chaos and anarchy. Can we afford to standby and do nothing as the world falls into ruin? Can we put away our grudges, our differences, our injustices we have suffered at the hands of the government? Can we pull together to save the world again? Each and every one of you meant something to the people, you were all they had,  you were all that gave them hope, let's show them that there is still hope left in the world."

The room was deathly quiet as everyone considered what Twilight had said.

Finally Thor stepped forward, "Your words move me, child," she said, "I would be honoured to fight this battle by your side." She held up her hammer, "You have my hammer," she finished.

"And you have my sword," Sir Justin a.k.a. Shining Knight said, joining Thor and drawing his sword.


"And you have my strength," Jennifer Walters a.k.a. She-Hulk said, stepping forward, joining Thor and Shining Kinght.


"And you have my flames," Beatriz Bonilla da Costa a.k.a. Fire, finished, as she joined the three heroes alongside the girls, the teen heroes and Captain America.


"Anyone else who doesn't want to help can leave," Sunset stated, "we won't stop you."

There was muttering among the heroes that had not stepped forward.

"We admire your courage," Alexei Shostakov a.k.a. Red Guardian said, as he and his team, The Winter Guard, consisting of himself,  Darkstar, Ursa Major and Crimson Dynamo, stepped forward, "you have the aid of the Winter Guard."


By now, other heroes like: Atom, Tigra, Dr. Light and Hellcat had stepped forward.

"If She-Hulk trusts you," Danny Rand a.k.a. Iron Fist smiled, "I trust you."


"That go's double for me," added Luke Cage, "if Fist is in, I'm in too."


More and more heroes started to step forward, inspired by Twilight's words.



Washington DC, The White House.

"You know what you've got to do," The President said, as Hyperion walked into the Oval office.

"Yes," Marcus Milton a.k.a. Hyperion replied, "stop Parallax before he gets to any major cities."


"I cannot emphasise how important it is," The President continued, "that you do not let Parallax reach any populated areas."

"Understood, Hyperion nodded, "I'll do what I can."

With that Hyperion turned and started to leave. "May I remind you," The President added, "The Sentry almost died trying to bring Parallax down, so don't hold back, even for a second."

"That won't be a problem," Hyperion responded, "I never hold back."

Hyperion left the room.

"What if Hyperion fails to defeat Parallax, Mr. President?" one of the presidential advisors asked.

"Then I fear for all humanity," The President replied.

At the Tower of Justice.

"First things first," Captain America said, "Me and the others will focus on rescuing our comrades from the prisons."

"What about us?" Twilight asked, "can't we help?"

"I'd appreciate the help," Captain America replied, "but you and your friends lack the proper training of full time Justice Force members."

"What!" Rainbow Dash burst out, "you said you saw us fight, you said you wanted us to be part of the Justice Force."

"You girls can only fight as long as you have your rings or your geodes," Captain America responded, "you all are laking in hand to hand combat, and," he continued, "I said be a part of the new Justice Force."

"New Justice Force?" Sunset queryed.

"In the years since we've been gone, Captain America carried on, "I've noticed a rise in young meta-humans across the world."

He handed Twilight a small hard drive, "that drive contains all the identities of all the young metas across the world," Captain America explained, "you need to recruit those young heroes to the new Justice Force and teach them how to use their powers to help protect the world."

"But why us?" Fluttershy asked.

"You girls have something special in you," Captain America replied, comfortingly, "something magical, something that reminded us all what being hero was all about."

"What about me?" inquired Starlight,"I'm just normal, I have nothing special to offer this team."

"Even if you don't have powers, you can still hero," Captain America responded, "I should know."



Elsewhere.

Hyperion touched down near where Parallax had been sighted last.

"Where are you, Parallax?" he asked, aloud.

"Right here," a voice answered.

Hyperion turned to see Parallax standing behind him.

"So we finally meet," Hyperion said, "your the one the whole world's afraid of."

"Guilty as charged," Parallax replied, "but you are something new, almost like Superman in some ways, but also not at the same time."

"Save your psychoanalysis," Hyperion growled, "I'm here to stop you from hurting any innocent lives,"

"I fought Sentry to a standstill," Parallax smiled, "you won't last a minute."



Canterlot High

"Captain America told us to recruit young superheroes to our new team," Applejack said, as she, the girls and their friends ate lunch in the school cafeteria, "so where do we start looking?"

"In here," Twilight replied, plugging the drive into her laptop.

Names started appearing on the screen, names like: Kate Bishop, Jaime Reyes, Natasha Irons, Vanessa Airea, Tyrone "Ty" Johnson and Tandy Bowen, Garfield Logan and Kotomi Kimura, to name just a few.

"Do you have a plan about tracking down all these people?" Rarity asked.

"We could ask Principle Celestia or Vice Principle Luna if we can look at the list of students at CHS," Sunset suggested.

"Sounds like a plan," Mary nodded, the other teen heroes agreeing with her.

"Alright everyone," Rainbow Dash smiled, "lets get to work."

"And I think we might not have to look to far for our first member," Sunset smiled.

She turned her gaze to Kamala Khan as she walked towards them and sat at their table.

"I heard you're putting a team together," Kamala said, "You can count me in."

"Great," Applejack commented, "that leaves a ninety-nine more people to recruit."



Somewhere else.

Hyperion's battle with Parallax was in fall swing, with Hyperion going at Parallax with everything he had: his heat vision, super breath and super strength.

"You're nothing but a pale imitation of the real Superman," Parallax laughed, firing off energy blasts.

"Your words mean nothing to me," Hyperion replied, dodging the attack and firing his heat vision.

"Why do you work for the government?" Parallax asked, "why take orders from those who are beneath you?"

"I'm trying to keep the world safe," Hyperion answered, "safe from monsters like you!"

With eyes glowing red, Hyperion rocketed stright at Parallax and the two collided. 



CHS after-hours.

The Rainbooms, the teen heroes and the heroes they had recruited, all met up in the school's gymnasium.

Along with Kamala, the other heroes in CHS they had managed to recruit were: Jaime Reyes, Dante Pertuz, Garfield Logan, Miles Morales, Joseph Wilson and Scott Summers.

"Thank you all, for agreeing to meet with us," Sunset said, "we have been tasked with putting together a team."

"So what exactly can you guys do?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I can shrink, grow, morph, stretch and heal pretty fast," Kamala replied.

"I have an alien armour, that gives me access to ton of weaponry," Jaime answered.

"I have fire powers and can heal fast," Dante replied.

"I can transform into any animal in the world," Garfield answered.

"I can climb on walls, shoot webs, I have a venom-blast and can camouflage myself," Miles replied.

"I can fire an optic blast from my eyes," Scott answered.

Joseph just pointed at his eyes.

"Ooook," Twilight said, confused.

While this was happening Starlight pulled Rarity aside.

"You think you could help me with something?" Starlight asked.

"Why of course, darling," Rarity said, "anything for a friend."

While the other girls and the teen heroes interacted with the recruited heroes, Starlight explained what she wanted from the fashionesta.

"Remember you can't tell any of the others," Starlight whispered, "not Twilight, Sunset, Applejack, not even Pinkie Pie."

"I do hate having to lie to my friends," Rarity replied, "but for you I'll make an exception."

Back with the others.

"Do you have a plan for adding more members to this team of yours?" Scott asked.

"Not really," Sunset smiled, weakly.

"Well, that's motivating," Dante responded, sarcastically.

"Well, since we're going to being working together," Gwenpool commented, "we should pick codenames."

"I wanna be called Ms. Marvel," Kamala suggested, "she's my idol and she called Captain Marvel now, so I'll be the new Ms. Marvel."


"Well, if you get to be Ms. Marvel," Garfield said, "then I get to be Beast Boy."


"And I think Inferno would fit you," Ms. Marvel commented, looking at Dante.

"Inferno," Dante smiled, "I like it."


"And you could be Blue Beetle," Beast Boy suggested, studying Jamie.

"Now that is an awesome name," Jamie replied.
 

"And for you I think Cyclops," Dante said, looking at Scott.

"Cyclops," Scott replied, "I like it."


"And since there's an Amazing Spider-man," Jamie commented, to Miles, "you could be the Ultimate Spider-man."

"Nice," Miles replied. 


"And you....." Gwenpool said, looking at Joseph, "all I can think of is Jericho for you."

Jericho nodded and gave her the thumbs up, with a smile.





Back with Hyperion and Parallax.

Both being stood facing each other, tired but not beaten.

"It appears we are at an impasse," Hyperion stated.

"We don't have to fight each other," Parallax replied, "if you join me, all those who control you will be trampled beneath your boot."

Hyperion didn't reply.

"If you join me," Parallax continued, "I will command a vast and terrible army and you will spearhead that army."

Hyperion not to speak, but lowered his fists.

"We swarm across a billion worlds," Parallax carried on, "we will swarm until ever light has been extinguished, you are strong Hyperion but I am beyond strength, I. Am. Fear. I have chosen you, Hyperion. Why don't you join the winning side?"

Hyperion stayed silent.

Back with the girls.

The girls and their friends had begun training the recruited heroes, in an abandoned warehouse.

"We should try combining our powers," Sunset suggested, "that way we could make an even bigger attack."

While Sunset was talking to the others, Starlight pulled Twilight aside.

"You think you can use your technical knowhow for something important Rarity's helping me with?" Starlight whispered.

"Sure I guess," Twilight replied.

"Also," Starlight continued, "you can't tell any of the others, not Sunset, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and especially not Pinkie Pie."

"I don't know," Twilight said, "but if this project is as important to you say it is, count me in."

Back with the others.

"We should think of a name for our team," Ms. Marvel suggested.

"What about the Teen Titans?" Beast Boy said.

"That name's taken," Gwenpool answered.

"The X-Men?" Cyclops said.

"Taken," Gwenpool answered.

"The Defenders?" Inferno said.

"Taken too," Gwenpool answered.

Jericho rolled his eyes.

"Alright," Donna Troy huffed, "what names haven't been said yet."

"Well," Gwenpool replied, going though her mental superhero team name list, "there's: Young Avengers, Outsiders, X-Force, Force of July and The Champions."

"Champions," Blue Beetle exclaimed, "the Champions thats the name for a our team."

"Team Champions," Rainbow Dash smiled, "sounds awesome."

Suddenly, from outside of the warehouse, came the screams of people and the sounds of something chasing after the people.

"What in the hay?!" Applejack cried.

The girls and everyone else dashed outside to see what was coursing the people to panic.

It was John Corben a.k.a. Metallo and Bruno Horgan a.k.a. Melter.
 

"Thats right," Metallo laughed, "run you little meat-sacks."

He and Melter continued firing their chest beams at civilians.

"Stop!" Mary Marvel cried.

The two villains stopped what they were doing and turned to see the team.

"What's this?" Melter declared, "run home kids your parents are probably worried about you."

"You two think you can hurt innocent people like that?!" Fluttershy cried.

"What's it to you?" Metallo asked.

"And who do you think you are?" Melter added, "the Justice Force?"

"No," Rainbow Dash replied, "we're the Champions!"

"The Champions vs The Metallic Marauders," Ms. Marvel squealed, "this will make a great chapter for my fanfiction."

"How about we focus on taking these two down first," Twilight interrupted.

"Whoever you are," Metallo roared, "your no match for us."



Elsewhere.

"So," Hyperion asked, "who's the first recruit for this army you're rising?"

"Someone who's a little bit like you," Parallax answered.

Suddenly, something flew at the two, traveling at high speed.

"That's him," Parallax smiled.

The thing turned and rocketed straight at Hyperion, knocking him out of the air.

Now that it wasn't moving very fast, Hyperion could see what the thing was.

It looked like Superman, but parts of his body had been replaced with metal.

"Why are you here?" the robotic Superman demanded, "Why were you looking for me?"

"We were looking to recruit you," Hyperion managed to reply.

"For what?" the robotic Superman asked, letting go of Hyperion.

"That's right, Mr. Henshaw," Parallax confirmed, "I want you to lead my army alongside Hyperion here."

"You know what this thing is?" Hyperion asked.

"Yes," Parallax answered, "this is Hank Henshaw or as the public knows him Cyborg Superman."


"But Superman is lawfully good," Hyperion said.

"Not this one," Parallax laughed, "he's the man of steel of steel."

"You remind me of him so much," Cyborg Superman growled.

"Does this look like an S to you?" Hyperion retorted, gesturing the the radioactive symbol on his costume.

"Enough!" Parallax interrupted, "you along with Hyperion have been chosen to lead an army I am rising."

"Very well," Cyborg Superman replied, "I shall join your course."

"Good," Parallax smiled, "Onwards."



Back with the Champions.

The team's fight with two villains was underway.

Beast Boy, Ms. Marvel, Blue Beetle, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Applejack and the other teen heroes engaged Metallo.

Meanwhile, Inferno, Cyclops, Ultimate Spider-man, Rarity, Sunset, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie along with the remaining teen heroes battled Melter.

The teens used their powers while the girls used their rings and powers.

Beast Boy transformed into a T-Rex and tried to take a bite out of Metallo, only to be hindered by the villain's metal skin.

This was followed by an energy blast from Blue Beetle, which Metallo blocked and fired a blast of energy from his kryptonite core.

"Nothing we do hurts this guy," Beast Boy said, changing back to normal and regrouping while Ms. Marvel and Blue Beetle tried to keep Metallo at bay.

"Your telling us," Inferno added, "this guys like a walking ray gun."

He and the rest of the Champions were having as much trouble with Melter as their teammates were with Metallo.

The villain kept on firing his chest beam and hand guns, never allowing the heroes a moment to breath.

"I've got an idea to deal with the scrapheap," Applejack said, after some thinking, "but I'm going need your help," she finished looking at Ms. Marvel.

Meanwhile the others had managed to coordinate a plan to take Melter out.

Melter fired his chest beam at the team, only to be met by an apposing blast from Cyclops.

The two beams clashed.

"You can't keep this up," Melter remarked, "you'll tire out."

"Funny," Cyclops replied, "you really think I'm trying to stop you."

Suddenly, before Melter could react he was knocked to the ground by a punch from Colossus.

Before he could get back to his feet he was webbed to the ground by Ultimate Spider-man.

"I'd leave that alone, if I were you," Inferno said, as Melter tried to reach for one of his hand guns. 

After which Melter was knocked out by Mary Marvel.

Ultimate Spider-man quickly webbed Melter's hand before he could act.

The other teams fight with Metallo ended quickly.

Both Blue Beetle, Beast Boy and Nova were keeping the villain occupied. 

"You ready for this?" Applejack asked, using her ring she had created a bow and arrow construct.

"Yeah, I'm ready," Ms. Marvel replied, she had shrunk down and was now standing on Applejack's arrow, "lets do this" she cried.

With that, Applejack released the arrow, spending Ms. Marvel rocketing towards Metallo. 

She leaped from the arrow construct, growing to giant size and stepping on Metallo with a giant foot.

Before, Metallo could get back up, Rainbow Dash, with her super speed, snatched the kryptonite from his chest.

"Well," Gwenpool said, as she and the other team regroups with the girls, "that wasn't such a chore, now was it?"

"Wow," Ms. Marvel beamed, "what a rush!" she could hardly stand still from the excitement, "and even more fun than how I'd have written it!" Ms. Marvel paused for breath, "I mean, taking down two supervillains how cool is that?!"

"That was awesome," Starlight commented, coming out from where she'd been watching the fights.

Suddenly, noticed Melter had freed himself from the webs.

Before he could do anything else, he was confronted by Jericho.

"What's he doing?" asked Twilight.

Jericho silently raised his hand, his eyes changed colour.


His body turned transparent and he phased into Melter.

"Jericho?" Nova asked.

"Yeah it's me," Jericho replied through Melter, "I couldn't speak before so I couldn't explained what I can do properly."

"First off," he continued, "It's very nice to meet you all and it's an honour to be part of the Champions, second my special ability is I can possess anyone if I make eye contact with them."

"It's nice to meet you properly, Jericho," Rarity smiled.

Soon enough the police arrived.

Jericho de-merged from the unconscious Melter. 

"What happened here?" an officer asked, looking over the two knocked-out villains.

"Don't worry, officer," Rainbow Dash said, "the criminals have been dealt with."

The officers looked sceptical.

"It's true," a bystander nodded, "these teens saved our lives."

"Well, then" the officer smiled, "you kids got a name?"

"Yeah," Rainbow Dash replied, "we're the Champions."

Canterlot High.

"I can't believe it," Ms. Marvel gasped, "they loved us."

"More importantly," Sunset added, "we saved lives, working together we saved those people."

"We made the front page," Rainbow Dash said, bringing out a copy of the local paper.

"Young team of heroes," Mary Marvel read, "save civilians from infamous villains."

"We keep this up," Rainbow Dash smiled, "and we might become as famous as the Justice Force!"

"Simmer down, Rainbow," Applejack interrupted, reining in her friend's excitement.

While the others were talking, Twilight and Rarity motioned at Starlight.

As soon as they had all finished lunch the three girls met up in the band room before class started.

"Is it ready?" Starlight asked.

Both Twilight and Rarity both nodded, bringing out a costume and a case containing various gadgets.

Smiling, Starlight took both the items and put them in her locker. She couldn't wait to get back to Sunset's place and give the costume and gadgets a test drive.



Afterdark.

As Sunset Shimmer slept, Starlight Glimmer pulled on the costume, clipped on her utility belt and finally pulled on the mask.

"Look out criminals," Starlight thought as she looked at herself in the mirror, "here comes the Mare-Do-Well."


With that she opened the window and, using her grapple gun, swung off through the night.

It wasn't long before she came across her first criminal.

"Riddle me this," the Riddler was saying, "I stay with you all the day but not at night. What am I?"

"Please," a civilian pleaded, "I don't know."

"Oh, sorry," the Riddler smiled, "that's not the answer I was looking for."

He pointed his question mark shaped pistol at the civilian's head.

"I'm going to ask again," the Riddler continued, "riddle me this. When does yesterday come after today?"

"Stop right there," Starlight said. The costume's mask featured a voice modulator that made her voice sound deeper.

"Whats this?" the Riddler asked, as Mare-Do-Well dropped down into the allyway, "a Batman wannabe?"

"I'm far more different than Batman," Mare-Do-Well replied, "I am the Mare-Do-Well."

"I don't care whoever you are," The Riddler smiled, putting away his pistol and drawing his question mark cane.

Both the Riddler and Mare-Do-Well charged at each other, Riddler with his cane and Mare-Do-Well drawing her do-wellerangs.

Mare-Do-Well hurled the projectiles at the Riddler, who simply blocked them with his cane.

"Get out of here," Mare-Do-Well called to the Riddler's captives.

The civilians nodded and dashed out of the allyway.

"You'll pay for interrupting my riddle," Riddler growled.

Before the villain could react, one of Mare-Do-Well's do-wellerangs struck the wall behind him and exploded, causing the villain to be thrown forward, right into a knockout blow from Mare-Do-Well.

"Riddles were never my thing," Mare-Do-Well said, as she tied the Riddler with some rope.

From the skyline a figure in a blue trench coat watched as Mare-Do-Well left the scene.

After getting far enough away, Mare-Do-Well stopped on one of the many rooftops and looked out over the city.

"Beautiful isn't it?" asked a voice.

Mare-Do-Well spun round to see Denny Colt a.k.a. The Spirit.


"Sorry," The Spirit apologised, "Didn't mean to scare you."

"Were you following me?" Mare-Do-Well asked.

"I saw how you handled the Riddler," The Spirit replied, "I was thinking you and me could work together."

"Sounds nice," Mare-Do-Well answered, "but I work alone."

"Well," The Spirit smiled, "see you around, some time."

With that both the heroes went their separate ways.



Next morning at Sunset Shimmer's apartment.

Starlight came into the kitchen, it was late morning.

"Morning," Sunset greeted, "you slept in a long time, you not get enough sleep last night?"

"Something like that," Starlight replied, as she made herself some toast.

While Starlight had breakfast, Sunset continued to read the book she had been reading, a tell-all autobiography titled 'Under the Hood' written by Hollis Mason (the first man to take on the name Nite Owl in the 1940s)

After they had finished, both the girls headed to Canterlot Mall to meet the other girls and the rest of the Champions.



Unknown location.

Parallax, Hyperion and Cyborg Superman touched down outside a high-tech facility.

"Whats so special about this place?" Cyborg Superman asked.

"This is the place where the members of my team the Squadron Supreme are held," Hyperion replied.

"What say we give them a wake up call?" Parallax smiled.

As the facility's guards advanced on the three, Parallax unleashed a powerful wave of energy knocking the guards back.

The three then proceeded to the facility's cellblocks.

The cells contained the members of the Squadron Supreme: Nighthawk, Power Princess, Speed Demon, Doctor Spectrum and Black Archer.
  


Parallax nodded to Cyborg Superman, who smashed open the cells.

"Whats happening?" Billy Roberts a.k.a. Doctor Spectrum asked, as he and the others exited their cells.

"Freedom," Parallax answered, "if you want it."

"Its time to make those who locked you all up pay," Hyperion said, "time to make the government pay for using me like a puppet."

"I hunger for battle," Zarda Shelton a.k.a. Power Princess growled.

"All in good time," Parallax smirked, "there is still much to do."



Canterlot Mall.

The TVs in the mall were already talking about the Champions heroics.

The news presenter went on to say that young superheroes from around the world were inspired to be a part of the team and join the fight against injustice.

The news changed to videos of the heroes from around the world showing their enthusiasm about joining the Champions, heroes like: Hulkling, Wasp, Moon-girl, Miss America, Kid Flash, Magik and Starfire among others.

"You believe it?" Rainbow Dash asked, "we've become famous overnight!"

"Its kind of overwhelming," Fluttershy commented.

"I agree," Twilight nodded, "having some many people look up to us is kind of stressful."

"Who cares?" Rainbow Dash retorted, "more members of this team will make it 20% cooler."

Before Rainbow Dash could continue the news presenter carried on saying that a new masked hero had appeared and had stopped and apprehended the Riddler and freed his hostages.

"Well, would you look at that," Sunset said, "looks like we've got competition."

The news went on to say, along with the new hero, the urban legend The Spirit was rumoured to have been spotted

Starlight smiled to herself, Mare-Do-Well's crusade had just begun.



Elsewhere.

Parallax and his cohorts were on their way to recruit the last few members for their little Injustice Force.

"How many more members do you need for this little army?" Hyperion asked.

"You said there was a battle," Power Princess fumed, "I tire of waiting."

"Just a few more," Parallax replied, "patience my friends."

He smiled, "its all part of the plan."

Parallax let out a maniacal laugh, a laugh which echoed everywhere.

"Thanks for coming back of me and my teammates and saving us from the prison," Sam Wlison said.

"You know I would never leave my wingman behind," Captain America smiled.

The two old friends laughed with each other.

"I think this belongs to you," Sam replied, handing over Captain America original shield, "if there's going to be a Captain America in this world then it should be you."

"Sam," Captain America answered, speechless.

"Its time for the Falcon to fly again," Sam Wilson a.k.a. Falcon smiled, "I hope my old flight still works."



Elsewhere.

Parallax and his team were rounding up the final members for their injustice force.

"Thank you for accepting my invitation," Parallax said, as he looked over his latest recruits.

These being:
Dr. Doris Zeul a.k.a. Giganta.

Rudy Jones a.k.a. Parasite

Clifford Zmeck a.k.a. Major Force

Barbara Ann Minerva a.k.a. Cheetah
 
Owen Reece a.k.a. Molecule Man

Eobard Thawne a.k.a. Professor Zoom, the Reverse-Flash.


"Any opportunity to make the Flash's life misery," Reverse-Flash smiled, "I'm at you service."

"We all are," Giganta added, "we all want to get even with the Justice Force."

"And you shall," Parallax replied, "together we will make the people of earth remember what fear taste like."

A laugh erupted from Parallax, the members of his team looked at each other nervously, apart from Molecule Man who looked down right scared.



Inside of Hal Jordan's body

"Hello?" a voice called, "can anybody hear me?!"

"Hal Jordan...." another voice called.

"Why isn't my ring working?" the voice of Hal Jordan asked.

"Hal Jordan....." the other voice called again.

"Whats going on?!" Hal Jordan asked, "who are you?!"

"Who am I?" the other voice answered, "I'm you and you are me."

Hal turned to see a being who looked like him, he jumped back.

"You're me?!" Hal asked.

"In a way, yes," the being replied.

"What do you want?" Hal asked.

"What do I want?" the being asked, "I want what you want, vengeance for Coast City and all those innocent souls that were caught in the crossfire, you wanted that didn't you?"

"I did, but..." Hal answered.

"But? the being said, "what do you mean 'but'? Wait, you don't even know who I am, do you?"

"NO I DON'T!" Hal replied, "I don't know anything about you!"

The being smiled, "Well, now this might be easier than I thought," it laughed, "but I suppose you've been a good boy, so I suppose I owe you a bit of honesty, just call me Parallax."

"Parallax?" Hal asked.

"Indeed, the legendary embodiment of fear," the being answered," Well, I was, those foolish Guardians of the Universe had me imprisoned inside the central green power battery on Oa."

"But what do you want with me?" Hal queried.

"Why, Hal you still don't get it," Parallax replied, "I'm simply helping you, your the greatest Green Lantern and I'm the most powerful emotional entity, with me bonded to you my incurable power is yours to command, together I...arr," Parallax faltered, "I mean we, will make the whole world feel the true meaning of fear."

"I don't know," Hal said, "I do want to bring back Coast City and everyone I knew and loved, don't get me wrong, but this wasn't how I wanted it, all those innocent people who weren't even trying to hurt us.

"This world is full of insignificant fools Hal," Parallax continued, "they won't be a problem if you just trust me."

"Well, what about those heroes we encountered," Hal added, "what sort of business did they have with us?"

"As I said before," Parallax said, "embodiment of fear, neither you nor the any of the other so called heroes realise the true power I hold, I've been in the green power battery for far too long and it's high time this entire world learned who they should be afraid of."

"NO!" Hal cried, "I won't let you control me!"

"Why not?" Parallax demanded, "our goals are one in the same, are they not? Vengeance, revenge, retribution, it's all the same, few deaths here and there is well worth it to restore that which you desire, isn't it?"

Before Hal could react Parallax bond him in chain constructs, "well isn't it?!" he asked.

"Let me go!" Hal cried, struggling against the chains.

"Oh, thats right," Parallax smiled, "try and fight back, I enjoy a little struggle," he laughed, "your mind might be strong Hal Jordan, but I'm bonded to your body and mind."

"I may have wanted to bring Coast City, my loved ones and everyone else," Hal replied, "but this isn't what I have in mind."

Parallax laughed.

"No! No!" Hal cried, "this isn't what I wanted!"

"And yet it's what you got," Parallax replied, "you murdered the entire Green Lantern corp, took their power rings and then absorbed all of the energy from the central battery and bonded with me, you chose this path Hal Jordan."

"NO! NOOOO!" Hal shouted.

"Enough!" Parallax roared, "your giving me a headache and it's your mind after all."

"Please" Hal asked, "why are you doing this?"

"Haven't I already told you," Parallax answered, "I want everyone in this world to feel fear, thanks to you I've found just the host I need to do that and I'll be able to help you bring back those you lost, how do you humans say? Two birds with one stone."

"This isn't the way I wanted it!" Hal cried.

"Then let me ask you this, Hal Jordan," Parallax continued, "if you didn't want my power, then what drove you to bond with me? if not for you wanting to bring your city and those you love back, then what else? what led you to absorb the power of the central battery alone with me? Why bother bonding with me, if you are just get cold feet and back out like a coward?! But above all," Parallax paused, "what made you even think you could handle me?!

"I...I...I," Hal stammered.

"Ark," Parallax sighed, "this isn't getting anywhere."



Outside of Hal Jordan's body.

"The team is ready to move," Hyperion said, "we move on your order."



Inside of Hal Jordan's body.

Parallax smiled, "Well, well, it looks like I'm ready to go."

"No!" Hal cried, "I won't let you!"

"Oh, will you just shut up already," Parallax replied, "you need to learn to relax a little bit."

"We are almost alike you and I," he commented.

"NO!" Hal shouted, "I'm nothing like you! I don't kill to get what I want!"

"Says the man who murdered all the Green Lanterns, took their ring just to bring back a city and everyone in it," Parallax retorted, "what does that say about you?"

Hal collapsed to his knee, defeated, "Alright, let's go," he said.

"That's a good little hero," Parallax smirked. 

He turned to leave, "oh and don't think you can take control anytime soon," he added "after all," he said, as he began to disappear, "I'm in the driving seat now and your just a whisper in the wind."

Laughing maniacally Parallax vanished. 



Outside of Hal Jordan's body.

"Excellent," Parallax said, "we move out immediately."

The Tower of Justice.

Alarms sounded and computer went into frantic overdrive.

"Whats going up Cap?," Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron man asked.

"Parallax was among the escaped prisons," Captain America replied, he was now dressed in his original costume and carrying his original shield


"He's recruited a small group of villains and is now heading towards populated areas." Captain America continued.

"Then we better form up and intercept him before he does any real damage," Iron man replied, as he suited up in one of his armours, mrk 50, the Endo-Sym Armor.


"Tony," Captain America interrupted, "before you go and try to take on Parallax head on, please tell me you have a plan."

"I do have a plan Cap," Iron man answered, "attack."

Before Captain America say another word Iron man took off.

"Waste of breath," Captain America sighed, shaking his head.

He turned back to the computer, "calling all Justice Force members this is a priority omega alert," he said.



Meanwhile.

Iron man, along with a team heroes he had managed to pick up, touched down ahead of Parallax and his teams last known location.

"No matter happens to us," Iron man declared, "we can't let Parallax or his teammates make it to the city."

"Affermative," Red Tornado nodded.


"Finally," smiled Hercules, creaking his knuckles and readying himself for battle "a challenge."


"I won't let that monster hurt any innocent lives," Rex Mason a.k.a. Metamorpho, the Element man agreed.


"You guys heard Stark," Adam Bernard Brashear a.k.a. Blue Marvel nodded, "they can't get past us."


The other members of the group: Dr. Light, She-Hulk, Elongated Man, Darkhawk all nodded.

Soon some shapes could be seen on the horizon, "I have a bad feeling about this," Ralph Dibny a.k.a. Elongated Man said, nervously.


"Thanks Ralph,"  She-Hulk replied, sarcastically, "your really filling with us with confidence."


"Get ready," Iron man declared.

Everyone readied themselves as the shapes on the horizon advanced towards them.



Elsewhere.

"Thanks for agreeing to met with me," Captain America said, he was now in the Justice Society's old base of operations.

"Anything to help out an old friend," Jay Garrick a.k.a. Original Flash smiled.

"I Remember when you were just skinny little kid from Brooklyn, wanting be solider," Cater Hall a.k.a. Hawkman commented.

"And I remember reading about you guys in the papers," Captain America replied, "it was because of you guys that I wanted to do my part to fight for my country."

"We've all seen a lot haven't we Steve," Henry Heywood a.k.a. Commander Steel sighed, 

"Yes, we have," Captain America nodded.

"And we've also lost a lot too," Commander Steel continued, "the first Human Torch, The Hunted Tank, Whizzer, Sgt. Rock & Easy Company, Liberty Legion, Rocketeer, Sergeant Charlie, most of Blackhawk Squadron and The Sea Devils, Johnny Quick & the first Liberty Belle, the first Howling Commandos team, The Losers and The Lobster."

"Not to mention, James Bigglesworth," added Doctor Mid-nite.

"Anyway," Captain America said, "I didn't come here to take a trip down memory lane, I came because Parallax has returned."

Everyone in the room froze at the mention of the name.

"You can't be serious," John "Johnny" L. Thunder a.k.a. Johnny Thunder answered, not daring to believe Captain America.


"I wouldn't be here if that wasn't the case," Captain America replied, "can I count on you, all of you to fight by my side again? Like old times."

There was a pause. 

"Captain Rogers," Kent Nelson a.k.a. Doctor Fate said, stepping forward, "It would be an honour to fight by your side again."

The rest of the Justice Society: Sandman, Green Lantern, Wildcat, Power Girl, Original Red Tornado and Cyclone, Stargirl, the second Liberty Belle and S.T.R.I.P.E among others all nodded agreeing with Doctor Fate.


"Alright then," Captain America smiled.



Back with the Champions.

It was after school, the girls and others were at Rainbow Dash's house having dinner with Rainbow's parents Bow Hothhoof and Windy Whistles.

"Thanks for dinner Mr & Mrs Dash," Quicksilver said, as he finished the food on his plate.

"No problem, sweetie," Windy Whistle smiled, "its always good to meet some of our Rainbow's new friends."

"Right," Bow Hothhoof added, sharing his wife's smile, "the more, the merrier."

"Anyway," Windy continued, "we've told you about us."

"Yeah," Bow nodded, "tell us something about you."

"There's not much to tell," Quicksilver replied, "me and my sister never knew our mum and the relationship with our dad has never a easy one."

"You have a sister?" Windy inquired, "where is she?"

"I wish I knew," Quicksilver sighed, "after dad was arrested...."

Before Quicksilver could continue he was interrupted by one of others calling his and Rainbow Dash name's from the living room.

Both of them rush out of the room, "That kid sure is fast," Bow said.

"Yeah, no kidding," Windy agreed.



In the living room.

"What's up?" Rainbow Dash asked, as she and Quicksilver entered the room.

Nova pointed at the TV screen, showing Iron man and his team doing battle with Parallax and followers.



Back with the team.

Iron man and Parallax faced each other the members of Iron man's team lay beaten and broken all around them.

"Tell me Tony Stark," Parallax said, "what did you and your allies hope to accomplish here?"

"Taking you down!" Iron man cried.

He flew straight at the villain firing his hand repulsors at him.

Parallax simply waved the attacks away.

"Poor little Stark," Parallax smirked, "building a suit to save the world and trying to play god."

Parallax fired a powerful energy blast at the hero, knocking him out of the air.

"I shall drown this world in fear, Tony Stark," Parallax said, "you are no match for someone like me," he laughed.

Iron man got to his feet, refusing to let Parallax go any further.

"I'll never except your world of fear," Iron man declared, standing his ground, "I'll do what I can to protect the ones that I love and if you try to stop me I'll blast you away."

"And how pray tell are you going to do that?" Parallax asked.

"Like this," Iron man replied, "Friday," he cried, "NOW!"

In answer, Iron man's most powerful armour the Hulkbuster formed around iron man's armour.


"Alright, Parallax," Iron man smiled, "now it's go time, me and you."

The Hulkbuster charged at Parallax, grabbed him and started dragging him along the ground. After which he started to punch him over and over, with rapid-fire punches.

All the while, Parallax was unfazed any of his attacks.

"Fall down! Fall down! Fall down!" Iron man said, while punching him.

"ENOUGH!" Parallax thundered, pushing Iron man away from him with an eruption of energy.

Parallax then flew straight at Iron man, tearing him right out of the Hulkbuster armour and throwing him to the ground.

"Stay down," Parallax said, standing over the defeated hero.

Iron man tried to get back up, only for Parallax to place his foot on his chest plate.

"I seriously advice, that you stay down!" Parallax ordered.



The Tower of Justice.

Captain America looked on, watching as Parallax and his team moved on leaving behind the defeated heroes.

"Damn it, Tony," he said,

He turned to J'onn J'onzz a.k.a. The Martian Manhunter, 


"You know what happens next, J'onn," he said.

J'onn nodded, "I do my friend," he replied, "the die is cast, what happens now will be determine our worlds fate."



Back with the girls and their teammates.

"What happened?!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

"He ripped through those guys like they were nothing!" Ms Marvel said, just as shock Rainbow Dash, "He didn't even break a sweat."

Everyone else sat in stunned silence.

"Oh, guys," Twilight said, weakly, "I'm sure, Captain America and the Justice Force know how to stop them."

"I hope," she muttered, under her breath.

Parallax and his forces continued their advance towards the city, along the way they had recruited Black Adam, Multiplex and the Psycho Pirate.

"It won't be long now my friends," Parallax smiled, "once we reach the city, the siege of fear will begin."

"You promised me a whole world of emotions to play with," Roger Hayden a.k.a. Psycho-Pirate complained.


"And you shall," Parallax replied, "once this whole world is under my thumb, everyone on the planets emotions shall be your."

He turned to Black Adam, "and I shall help you expand your country Kahndaq borders, you shall have the power to topple even Latveria's ruler, not even Apocalypse can stand against you."

"I hope for you sake, Parallax," Black Adam acknowledged.


"Halt!" a voice cried.

Parallax and his forces, stopped in their tracks and looked towards where the voice had come from.

Only to be greeted by the entire Justice Force and the Justice Society of America.

Everyone from the likes of Captain America to Daredevil to Billy Batson Captain Marvel to Superman.

And the Justice Society of America from the likes of Green Lantern to Hourman to Damage.

"Parallax this your last chance to surrender," Captain America said, as the villains returned to the ground a short distance away from them, "if not then we'll have to stop you."

Parallax laughed, "Iron man and his team tried and failed to stop me" he smirked, "you think a hundred more heroes and some old fossles are going to make a difference?"

"I don't know if we will stop you," Captain America answered, "but I do know that, we can try."

Everyone prepared themselves for battle.

Then suddenly.

"HAL JORDAN!," a voice cried.

Everyone turned to look and saw Barry Allen a.k.a. Flash stepping forward.


"You don't want to do this, this can't be what you want," Flash continued, "the Hal I know would never do this."

"The number you are dialling is not in service," Parallax replied, "please call again later."

"If thats the way it is," Flash said, "but know this, your thirst for battle is your undoing, every blow you land upon your enemies you land upon your own men, however if you and your followers still hunger for battle, fine.....then come.....we shall be more than happy to face you."

"Well, Hal," Oliver Queen a.k.a. Green Arrow declared, "you wanna try?" he caught himself, "sorry, Parallax."


Parallax laughed, "You fools must have a death wish," he smiled, "the fact that you believe that have a chance to stop me and my army amuses me."

"Enough talk," Black Adam said.

"Agreed," Parallax nodded.

Without further a do, both sides charged at each other.



Back with the Champions.

The girls and their teammates watched as the Justice Force and Justice Society of America battled Parallax and his accomplices.

No one dared to talk, for fear of missing a moment of the battle.

"Come on, Captain America," Twilight quietly muttered, "please pull through."



Back to the battle.

"I will stop you in the name of Justice!" Captain America cried, as he and Parallax clashed with each other.

All around them, heroes and villains were grappling, punching and blasting each other.

Parallax cackled, maniacally, "Villains are evil, Heroes are just, but thats only true because history tells us so," he smirked, "children who have never known peace have different values, then children who have never known war, the one who wins will rewrite the definition of right and wrong, they'll decide the future and how the past is written." 

Parallax smiled, "will justice prevail?" he asked, "why there's no other way, the winner will define the meaning of justice."

He fired an energy blast, which Captain America blocked with his shield.

The battle raged on with every hero fighting as hard as they could against Parallax's assembled army of villains.



Back with the Champions

The girls and their teammates looked on in horror as, one by one, every hero fell to Parallax and his forces.

Captain America and Superman stood their ground, defiant to the last.



Meanwhile.

Parallax stood over the defeated Captain America, "Tell me Captain," he smiled, "any last words?"

"Hal, don't do this," Captain America begged, "you were once one of us."

"Not anymore," Parallax replied.

With that Parallax prepared to strike Captain America down.

"STOP!" Superman cried, his eyes glowed red as he prepared to use his heat vision.

"Tell me, Kal-El of Krypton," Parallax smiled, "are you going to kill me?"

"I will do whatever it takes to protect the world," Superman declared, "from monsters like you."

"I am immortal, Kryptonian," Parallax replied.

"Do you want to put that to the test?" Superman retorted.

"I want to see you, become like me," Parallax continued, "hail, Kal-El of Krypton, the great exterminator."

"I'll do it!" Superman cried, his eyes glowing furiously.

"Then prove yourself, Kal-El," Parallax demanded, "what are you, coward or killer?"

For a moment, it really looked like Superman really was going to strike Parallax down.

"No," Superman said, defeated, "I am not a coward, but above all, I am certainly not a killer."

Parallax smiled, "Mankind will be ruled by fear, because of your weakness," he declared.

With that Parallax nodded to Black Adam, who struck him across the face.

"We've already wasted enough time," Parallax said.

As Parallax turned leave, one of the heroes, Raymond C. Terrill a.k.a. The Ray, staggered to his feet.


"You haven't won," Ray choked, "I'll fight you till my last breath, somehow you will be stopped."

"Killing you isn't worth the time I'd waste on it," Parallax replied, "but if you really want to die, I'll oblige."

Parallax's fist glowed with energy as he prepared to destroy Ray.

But before Parallax could struck Ray down.

"YOU'VE DONE ENOUGH!" a voice shouted.

Molecule Man had stepped in front of Parallax, blocking him from obliterating Ray.

"There's no point in fighting anymore, there's no point in killing" Molecule Man cried, "it's over we won, we can end this, these are human lives, this is wrong! Some of them have families, children, their heroes and were just watching them die! Captain America and Superman are beaten, the heroes don't have the will to fight anymore, what are we trying to prove?! Whats the point?! Ray is wounded, let him go, he's no threat to you, but no, we're just making more victims, more casualties, we have nothing to be proud of, what are we even fighting for?!

"Owen Reece," Parallax responded, "you'd better stand aside."

Molecule Man stood his ground, refusing to move.

"Your wasting my time," Parallax continued, "if you would impede justice I have no use for you."

Both Parallax's fists glowed.

"This is it," Molecule Man thought, "not exactly what I'd hoped for, but at least I said what I had to say."

Parallax charged at Molecule Man.

"At least I have no regrets," Molecule Man added, closing his eyes.

But at the last moment, Parallax stopped an inch away from Molecule Man's face.

Molecule Man opened his eyes, stunned.

"The only reason I'm not killing, right now," Parallax said, "is because I still have a use for you and your powers."

He turned to see that Ray had alright escaped.

"But I'm warning you," he continued, "all of you," he thundered, pointing at the other members of his army, "step out of line or even some much as think about questioning my orders and I will not hesitate to end you!"

With that the villains carried on their advance towards the city.



Back with the Champions.

No could speak after what they'd seen.

Even the air seemed to have gone silent.

After a while, Cyclops spoke up, "what happens now?" he asked.

"I don't know," Twilight said, "I just don't know."

The girls and their teammates were having something to eat at Sweet Shoppe.

"So," Blue Beetle said, "what do we do now?"

"What can we do?" Applejack replied, "all the real heroes have been taken out."

"That's all folks," Pinkie said, sadly, her hair deflating from bubbly to flat, "our ability to resist Parallax is kaputski."

"What are you guys saying?!" Rainbow Dash asked, "just because all the heroes are down, we're just giving up, just like that?!" 

"What do you want us to do, Rainbow Dash?" Ultimate Spiderman asked, "those heroes were the pros, were just the rookies, the trainees, the B-squad."

Before Rainbow Dash could answer, something smashed into the ground outside the restaurant.

Everybody rushed outside and let out a collective gasp, there in the crater spiralled on the ground was the Ray.

The girls rushed to help Ray to his feet, as he was far too injured and bruised to stand on his own.

"Help me," he uttered, weakly, "he's coming."

"Try not to talk, darling," Rarity said, softly, "you've taken quite a beating."

"Parallax is coming," Ray carried on, "got to stop him."

With that Ray passed out from exhaustion.



"I will purify the earth with fear," Parallax said, as he and his forces continued on their way towards the city, "the planet will become my temple and we shall rise."

A maniacal smile spread across Parallax's face, "this will be our paradise."



Sometime later.

The girls along with everyone else, were at Twilight's house waiting for Ray to wake up.

Ray had been placed on the couch in the living room and his helmet removed.

"Poor kid," Applejack remarked, "he's hurt real bad."

"I can't imagine what he's gone though," Fluttershy said.

"Is his face gonna stay that way?" Pinkie asked.

"Arrrr," Ray groaned, as he regained consciousness.

"Don't try to move," Sunset advised, "you've been though a lot."

"Parallax is coming," Ray blubbed, "gotta to stop him."

Ray tried to stand, Rarity and Fluttershy helping him up, his body glowed with golden light and his wounds healed rapidly.

Ray turned to go.

"You can't go out there on your own," Sunset said, "you'll kill yourself."

"I will withstand any physical pain," Ray answered, putting his helmet back on, "to protect the ones that I love, that's what being a part of the Justice Force is about."

"But we don't have the training or the experience of real heroes," Rarity stated.

"Who cares," Ray replied, "as long as there is life there is always hope."

"Ray's right guys," Rainbow Dash nodded, "as long as we are here there is still hope."

Pinkie smiled at that, causing her hair to go back to it's bubbly state, she nodded.

"Alright," agreed Twilight, "we will fight together."

With that, Ray along with the Champions headed off to confront Parallax once and for all.



Meanwhile.

Parallax and his forces had almost reached the outskirts of the city.

"Now," Parallax breathed, "it begins."

"Finally," Power Princess smirked, "I hunger for battle."



Inside of Hal Jordan's body.

Hal Jordan continued to struggle against his restraints.

But all his effects proved ultimately futile.

"In brightest day," he said, "in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight..."

"Your oath is meaningless here, Hal Jordan," the voice of Parallax laughed.



Outside of Hal Jordan's body.

"Go, my army," Parallax cried, "spend destruction and fear."

"Halt!" called a voice.

Parallax groaned, "again!?" he fumed.

The Champions and Ray stood in his way.

"We're the Champions," Rainbow Dash declared, "and we're here to stop you."

"They send a bunch of teenagers after me?" Parallax laughed.

"Children warriors?!" Power Princess smirked, "aren't you all a little old to play pretend superheroes?"

"They are not worth my attention," Hyperion nodded.

"They are just insects to be squashed," Giganta said.

"Enough with the smack talk," Ms. Marvel interrupted.

"Right," Sunset nodded.

"Hal Jordan," Twilight stated, "this isn't you, this isn't who you are."

Parallax laughed, "You little things, that live in the light, clinging to your feeble suns which die....in the end."

"That's not Hal," Twilight commented, "something's talking through him."

"Only fear remains," Parallax continued, "you know nothing of true fear, all of you, so small, you will die, here all of you, this place shall be your graves, you will die and I will live."

Parallax's fist glowed as he prepared to destroy the Champions.

Then, suddenly, he was hit by a M-shaped projectile which exploded in his face.

"WHO DARES!?" Parallax thundered.

"I dare," a voice answered.

The Champions, Parallax and his army looked to where the voice had come from.

Only to see, Mare-Do-Well come swinging towards them.

"I must be dreaming," Pinkie said, "because I'm seeing Mare-Do-Well in front of me."

"Your not dreaming, Pinkie Pie," Mare-Do-Well replied.

"How do you my name?" Pinkie asked.

"Why wouldn't I know your name" Mare-Do-Well responded, removing her mask, revealing.....

"Starlight?!" everyone cried.

"Yep," Starlight replied, "I'm the Mare-Do-Well."

"But? how?" Rainbow Dash stuttered, "the suit, the gadgets?"

"Twilight designed the gadgets and Rarity made the suit," Starlight responded.

"Sorry to interrupt, your little get together," Parallax chimed in, "I thought we had a fight going on here!"

"Right," Starlight smiled, putting her mask back on.

Both sides faced each other.

"Ready guys?" Rainbow Dash asked.

The others nodded.

Parallax grinned, "You really think that your team alone will be enough to stop me?"

With that, both sides charged at each other

But, before anyone could land a punch, a black raven appeared between the two teams.

"They are not alone," a figure replied.

The Champions gasped, it was Raven a.k.a. Rachel Roth, the daughter of Trigon.


"I hope you don't mind," Raven smiled, "I brought a few friends with me."

Raven's friends appeared alongside her, one of them Quicksilver recognised.

"Wanda," he cried, tears of joy streaming down his face.

"I've been looking all over for you," Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch replied, smiling at her brother.
 

"Don't forget us," another voice called.

This voice belonged to Tyrone "Ty" Johnson a.k.a. Cloak, as he, and Tandy Bowen a.k.a. Dagger along with a bunch of figures as they teleported in.


The villains gasped.

"Hey," Parasite said, "is that who I think it is?"

"Its Nightwing and Red Robin," Multiplex finished, "and they're not the only ones," he continued, "just take a look at that line up."

"The world can't handle this madness," laughed Jack Ryder a.k.a. The Creeper.


"Look," Nighthawk declared, "Cloak and Raven have some company, it's Starfire and the rest of the Teen Titans." 

"There's a ton of teen heroes with them, too," Psycho-Pirate added "they must have gathered them all up somehow."

"Kid-Flash is standing in my way again," Reverse-Flash groaned, recognising Wally West a.k.a. Kid Flash, "I'm not surprised."

"IS. THAT. CAPTAIN. MARVEL. JR?!" Black Adam growled.

"What is the new Ghost Rider and Wild Dog doing here?!" Molecule Man asked.

"Now those are some big fish, we're staring at," Major Force commented.

"Well, fancy seeing Miss America here," Doctor Spectrum smiled, "that girl sure gets around."

"Two former Robins side by side," Speed Demon laughed, "and look we even have Vibe and Kitty Pryde in attendance."

"Look there," Black archer cried pointing.

"Deadpool and Red Hood," Hyperion said, "what are those two doing together?"

"Supergirl and Superboy are here, too" Parallax smirked, "they will fall just as Superman did."

"Well," Gwenpool remarked, "it's a good day for a swell battle."

With that the heroes and the villains engaged in battle.

The battle was in full swing.

With heroes clashing with villains.

"I thought you didn't like to play the hero, Jason," Dick Grayson a.k.a. Nightwing said, as he and Tim Drake a.k.a. Red Robin fought alone side Jason Todd a.k.a. Red Hood.



"Doesn't mean I don't remember how," Red Hood replied.


Elsewhere, Cyclops, Colossus, Jean Grey and the rest of the All-New X-Men: Angle, Beast and Iceman, fought together.


"Nice to have you guys back," Cyclops smiled.

"And you too," Bobby Drake a.k.a. Iceman smiled back. 


Meanwhile Quicksilver, Wallace Rudolph West II a.k.a. Kid Flash and Jesse Wells a.k.a.  Jesse Quick battled Reverse Flash and Speed Demon.
 

"The three of you are no match for us," Reverse Flash gloated, "your speed alone is nothing compared to ours."

Elsewhere, Roy Harper a.k.a. Arsenal and Kate Bishop a.k.a. the second Hawkeye stood back to back firing arrow after arrow at their attackers.



Meanwhile, Beast Boy and Humberto Lopez a.k.a. Reptil battled using their ability to change, Beast Boy changing into different animals and Reptil transforming into different dinosaurs.


Along side them was Lunella Lafayette a.k.a. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.


Elsewhere, Conner Kent a.k.a. Superboy and America Chavez a.k.a. Miss America teamed-up against Hyperion.



"I've never met someone like you," Superboy beamed.

"Likewise," Miss America responded.

Meanwhile, Ms. Marvel, now giant sized, and Nadia Pym a.k.a. the all-new all-different Wasp battled Giganta.


Ms. Marvel was keeping Giganta occupied, while Wasp flew around blast her with her stingers.

This was followed by Ultimate Spiderman wrapping Giganta's legs with his webbing, causing the villainess to topple to the ground.

Elsewhere, Kara Danvers a.k.a. Supergirl and Amadeus Cho a.k.a. The Totally Awesome Hulk faced off against Cyborg Superman.
 
With both heroes punching the cyborg imposter over and over.

Meanwhile, M'gann M'orzz a.k.a. Miss Martian and Teddy Altman a.k.a. Hulkling faced off against Major Force.
 

With both shapeshifters, using their shape-changing ability to hit the villain with various weaponry.

Lastly, Jubilation Lee a.k.a. Jubilee and Virgil Hawkins a.k.a. Static battled the Doctor Spectrum.



Both teens using their powers, Jubilee's pyrotechnic energy blasts and Static's blasts of electricity.

All this was happening while Parallax watched the battle unfold.



"Impressive," he murmured, to himself.

Parallax suddenly noticed something about the Rainbooms.....They had lantern rings.

"Impossible!" he gasped, both in anger and disbelief.



Several battles later, the Champions and their allies had defeated Parallax's army and now they had Parallax surrounded.

"Your finished, Parallax," Laura Kinney a.k.a. the all-new Wolverine cried.


Donna Troy and Starfire nodding in agreement with her.

"Oh, cute," Parallax replied, sarcastically, "throw enough chumps at me and hope it works, right?"

"Arrr, maybe," Gwenpool answered.

"Well, forget this," Parallax smirked.

Before Parallax could attack, he was enveloped in scarlet energy.

"That's far enough," Scarlet Witch said, holding Parallax with her hex powers.

"Nice powers, kid," Parallax smiled, "you actually brought me to full stop."

"Thanks I guess," Scarlet Witch answered.

"But you forget," Parallax continued, "I'm invulnerable and invulnerable means nothing stops me."

With that, Parallax unleashed a surge of energy, freeing him from Scarlet Witch's hold.

Raven flew at Parallax, "beat it, you demon brat," Parallax snapped, slapping her away. 

He then released a blast of energy, knocking all the Champions allies down, leaving the Rainbooms unharmed.

"Now," Parallax said, "you will tell me how you acquired those rings?"

"Why should we?" Rainbow Dash asked, defiantly.

"Because I collected the power rings of every green lantern in the universe," Parallax replied, "and I don't recall any of you being a part of any lantern corp before."

Parallax's fists glowed with energy, "so I'll ask again, how did acquire those rings?"

"You won't get anything out of us," Twilight declared.

"Then I'll just have to pry those rings from you lifeless bodies," Parallax smiled.

Then, "GET AWAY FROM MY FRIENDS!" the voice of Jean Grey cried.


Parallax stopped as Jean Grey stood in front of the Rainbooms.

"Leave my friends alone," Jean repeated.

Parallax laughed, "and what are you going to do child?" he snickered.

Jean stood her ground, the earth around her beginning to boil and melt.

"What's this?" Parallax said, confused.

Something was awaking inside Jean, something powerful.

Before Parallax could react, Jean blasted him with a huge release of flames, throwing Parallax back and breaking his grip on the rest of the Champions and their allies. 

"Jean?" Sunset said.

"Yeah," Jean replied, turning to the girls, "this is my true power."

The girls didn't have time to responded, as Parallax recovered from Jean's attack.

"What do we do now?" Applejack asked.

"I've got an idea," Sunset said, she turned to all their allies and teammates, "but me and my friends are going to need your help, can we count on you?"

All the heroes and the rest of the Champions nodded.

Parallax advanced towards them.

"Alright, everyone," Sunset cried, "I need all the heavy hitters."

She turned Jean, "you, Raven, Wanda and Miss Martian hold him steady."

Jean nodded, she, Raven, Scarlet Witch and Miss Martian grabbed Parallax with their telekinetic abilities.

Sunset turned to Cyclops, "Scott, Jaime, Virgil and Riri force him down."

Cyclops, Blue Beetle, Static and Ironheart followed Sunset's order, Cyclops firing his optic blast, Blue Beetle firing energy blasts, Static firing electricity and Ironheart firing repulser blasts.

"NOW!" Sunset shouted, "all together!"

With that, the rest of the heroes, who could shoot, all collectively fired at Parallax.

Parallax seemed almost unaffected by the attack. 

"W....we....I.....I....I" he uttered,

Before he could retaliate, Hulk, Supergirl, Superboy, Miss America, Donna Troy and Colossus all rushed him and hit him with one giant combined punch. 

Parallax staggered to his feet, "Y....you hurt me" he said, with a mixture of surprise and anger, "you hurt us, that hurt."



Inside of Hal Jordan's body.

"In brightest day," Hal said, "In blackest night."

As he said the oath, Hal noticed his ring started to glow.

"No evil will escape my sight," he continued, "let those who worship evils might."

Hal's ring was now glowing fiercely.

"Beware my power!" Hal cried, "Green Lantern's Light!"

There was an explosion of green light.



Outside of Hal Jordan's body.

The Rainbooms noticed something was wrong with Parallax

Something was tearing him apart from the inside.

"Alright, girls," Sunset said, "it's time."

All the girl's rings glowed brightly.

"Willpower!" Applejack said.

"Hope!" Rainbow Dash said.

"Compassion!" Rarity said.

"Love!" Fluttershy said.

"And Life!" Sunset finished.

The emotional entities of each lantern corp seemed to appear behind the girls:

Ion behind Applejack.


Adara behind Rainbow Dash.


Proselyte behind Rarity.


The Predator behind Fluttershy.


And the Life Entity behind Sunset Shimmer.


All together, the girls fired an almighty blast at Parallax.

Immediately afterwards, there was a release of green energy as Hal Jordan was separated from Parallax.

Now that the entity had been purged from Hal, the girls could now see Parallax for what it really was.


"You think you've won?" Parallax laughed, "let's see how well you do against one of your own."

Before anyone could act Parallax flew straight at Twilight, possessing her.

Inside of Twilight's body.

"Whats happening?" Twilight asked.

"You are mine, Twilight Sparkle," the voice of Parallax laughed, "forever."

"Show yourself!" Twilight demanded.

"If you insist," Parallax replied.

Parallax's form materialised in front of Twilight.

"Your friends can't help you in here," Parallax smiled, "there's nothing and no one that can save you."

"That's where your wrong," a voice answered.

Before Parallax could react, he was hit by a powerful blast of magic.

Twilight turned to see who had fired the blast and gasped, it was Midnight Sparkle.


Parallax hissed, "Who are you?!" he snarled.

"Your worst nightmare," Midnight replied.

"Midnight Sparkle," Twilight said, "why are you....?"

"You maybe an idiot," Midnight responded, "but your my idiot."

With that, Midnight fired another blast at Parallax.



Outside of Twilight's body.

The girls, their teammates and their allies had managed to restrained Twilight and were now waiting.

"What are we suppose do now?" Superboy asked.

"We can't help Twilight, now," Sunset replied, "all we can do is hope that Twilight can fight this evil on her own."

"Come on, Twilight," Pinkie cheered, "we believe in you."



Inside of Twilight's body.

The battle between Midnight and Parallax was evenly matched.

both beings blasting each other with energy attacks.

"You and I are the same," Parallax commented, "we both are vessels of fear, birds of a feather."

"That maybe so," Midnight retorted, "but if anyones going to live inside Twilight's head its going to be me."

Midnight fired another blast at Parallax, which he dodged and fired back.

All this was going on, while Twilight looked on.

"I never thought I'd ever see anything like this," she thought, "my dark side fighting to keep me safe, maybe there is a good in Midnight after all."

Back with the fight between Midnight and Parallax, the battle was nearing its end.

Midnight appeared to be winning against Parallax.

"Looks like I've won," Midnight smiled, "surrender."

"NEVER!" Parallax declared.

He fired one final blast in Twilight's direction.

but, at the last moment, Midnight throw herself in front of Twilight, shielding her from the blast.

"Midnight!" Twilight exclaimed, as Midnight fell to the ground.

"Finally," Parallax smiled, "no more distractions and much more destruction."

"You haven't won, yet," Midnight choked, getting to her feet, "I may be down, but I'm not out."

"Time to take you out of the equation," Parallax smirked.


Midnight blasted Parallax with everyone she had.

Parallax retaliated with a similar blast of energy.

The two blasts collided, both beings using everything they had to overwhelm the other.

At the last minute, it looked Parallax was going to win, but only for Midnight to push through the attack and finish off Parallax, expelling the entity from Twilight's body.

"Midnight Sparkle!" Twilight cried, as Midnight fell to the ground weakened.

"So this is what doing something good feels like," Midnight said, smiling weakly, "it actually feels good." 

She had used up all her energy to expel Parallax from Twilight's body and she was beginning to fade away.

"Midnight," Twilight said, holding back her tears, "Why? Why, did you save me?"

"like I said," Midnight replied, "your my idiot and no messes with my idiot."

Twilight couldn't hold back her tear anymore.

"Thank you, Midnight," she said, through her tears, "thank you."

"Don't worry about me, Twilight," Midnight smiled, "I'll always be with you."

With that, Midnight Sparkle faded away into nothing.



Outside of Twilight's body.

Twilight gasped and jerked awake.

"Twilight!" the rest of the girls cried.

"I'm glad your alright," Sunset said.

"What happened to Parallax?" Twilight asked.

Ms. Marvel pointed to where Parallax lay, defeated.

"Well," Beast Boy said, "what do we do with this thing?"

"I believe Parallax will come with me," a voice answered.

Everyone turned to see, Sinestro accompanied by Ganthet and Sayd, the last surviving members of the Guardians of the Universe.



"Sinestro will take Parallax far from away from this world," Ganthet said.

"Ganthet and I will take Hal Jordan to Oa to stand trial," Sayd finished.

Ganthet nodded to Sinestro, who held out his yellow ring and Parallax was sucked inside of it.

"What happens now?" Sunset asked.

"You are all the protectors of this space sector," Ganthet replied, "carry on, the people of this world need hope and something to believe in."

The two guardians turned to Sinestro, "It's time for us to leave," Sayd said.

Sinestro nodded, "I will go," he responded, he turned to face the girls, "the next time we meet, we will be enemies."

With that, Sinestro and the two guardians vanished.

"Well," Ms Marvel breathed, "that was a thing."

"Yeah," Gwenpool breathed, "far out."

"Hey, you guys," Pinkie said, "you know what this calls for?"

"A party?" Cyclops replied.

"Yep," Pinkie nodded, "a party!"



Back at CHS.

The celebration of the Champions victory over Parallax was in full swing.

Everyone was partying and having a good time.

Some of them were using their powers in humorous ways: Quicksilver using his super speed in a pie eating contest with Rainbow Dash and the other speedsters, Miss Martian and Reptil shapeshifting into various forms on the dance-floor, Kate Bishop and Arsenal playing pin the tail on the donkey, Plastic man's son Luke Ernie O'Brian a.k.a. Offspring apple-bobbing with Ms. Marvel and Superboy arm wrestling with Miss America.

Also with the Champions and their friends, Spike had brought along some of his new friends, members of The Legion of Super-pets.

The members of the legion that were attending the party were: Krypto the Superdog, Ace the Bat-hound along with his sidekick Robert 'Robbie' the Robin, Streaky the Supercat, Buddy a.k.a. Stretch-O-Mutt and Lockheed the Dragon.







Amides all the fun and games, Sunset noticed Twilight was looking a little sad.

"You okay?" Sunset asked, approaching her friend.

"Yeah," Twilight answered, "it's just when I was fighting Parallax in my mind, Midnight Sparkle was there."

"Midnight Sparkle?" Sunset gasped, "what happened next?"

"She fought Parallax to keep me safe," Twilight replied, "she scarified herself to save me."

"I'm sorry Twilight," Sunset said.

"She's gone," Twilight sighed, "she was a part of me and now she's gone."

"Not necessarily," Sunset replied, "things can be remembered, and if something is remembered it can come back."

Twilight smiled, "Thanks."

And with that, the two best friends joined in the party.

In the aftermath of the Champion's victory, the news was a buzz with everyone around the world showing their appreciation and thanks to the team.

"It seems that as the older generation of heroes returns," someone was saying, "a newer generation of heroes has begun emerging."

"Teenage superheroes? In highschool?" an old man asked, "give me a break."

"Blue Beetle and Nova saved my life," a bystander said, "wherever they are and where any of the Champions are, I would, just, want to thank them." 



"So," Rainbow Dash smiled, "you ready to do this?"

"You know it," Quicksilver nodded.

Both speedsters took their marks.

"You ready to win," Rainbow Dash asked, "second place?"

"A better question," Quicksilver retorted, "are you?"

"Well," Rainbow Dash said, "we'll just have to see then, won't we?"

"Ready," Quicksilver declared.

"Set," Rainbow Dash nodded.

Without another word the two speedsters took off.

The two raced each all around the world.

Rainbow Dash seemed to be pulling ahead of Quicksilver.

"See you at the finish line," Rainbow Dash jeered, "tomorrow."

Then suddenly, Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash, Jay Garrick a.k.a. The Original Flash, Wally West a.k.a. Kid Flash, Wallace Rudolph West III a.k.a. the second Kid Flash, Jesse Wells a.k.a. Jesse Quick and Jesse Chambers a.k.a. Liberty Belle all rushed past the two.

"Come on," Barry smiled, "try to keep up, slow pokes."

Both Rainbow Dash and Quicksilver looked at each other, "Let call it a drew," Rainbow Dash said.

"Agreed," Quicksilver nodded.



Elsewhere, at Twilight's house.

Twilight lay on her bed, in her room, thinking about what Sunset had said.

Her thoughts were interrupted, by a knock on her door.

It was her mum, Twilight Velvet, "This came for you sweetie," she said.

She handed Twilight a package.

"Thanks, mum," Twilight replied.

With a smile, Twilight Velvet left the room.

Twilight opened the package, it contained a letter and the lantern and ring of Alan Scott.

The letter read, 'To Twilight, I've decide to settle down, for real, and have a normal life with my kids and I can think of no one better to carry on my legacy then you and so I pass on my lantern and my ring to you Twilight Sparkle, you will be the new guardian of the Starheart, yours faithfully Allen Scott. P.S. you might want to avoid anything made of wood when using my ring.'

Twilight smiled, after reading Allen's letter.

She picked up the ring and put it on.

"I shall shed my light over dark evil," Twilight said, "for the dark things cannot stand the light, The light of the Green Lantern!"

The ring glowed brightly, Twilight could feel the magical power from the ring flow through her.



New York.

"I have to say, Miles," Peter Parker a.k.a. Spiderman remarked, as he and Ultimate Spiderman looked over the city, "I think you make a great Spiderman."

"That means a lot coming from you, Peter," Ultimate Spiderman replied.

"You know," Spiderman continued, "I may be the Amazing, Spectacular and Fantastic Spiderman, but you, Miles, your the Ultimate Spiderman."

Suddenly, there was a scream from an alleyway.

"Well," Spiderman said, "duty calls."

"I'm right behind you," Ultimate Spiderman declared.

Without another word, the two wall-crawlers swung off to help those in need.



East Los Angeles

Blue Beetle and Ghost Rider a.k.a. Robbie Reyes were patrolling the streets, looking for trouble.

"You sure that were not related?" Blue Beetle asked, "I mean, we do share the same last names."

"Who knows," Ghost Rider shrugged, "the only family I've ever known is my brother, Gabe."

"You have a brother?" Blue Beetle said, "he must be really proud of you."

"I would do anything, to keep Gabe safe," Ghost Rider replied, "anything."

Suddenly, the two noticed a gang in an ally, threatening a couple at gun point.

"So much for looking for trouble," Blue Beetle remarked.

"You ready to dance, Blue?" Ghost Rider smiled, as he transformed into his Ghost Rider form and his car transformed into his Hell Charger.

"You know it," Blue Beetle replied, as his scarab activated and his armour covering his body.   

With that, two raced to stop the gang from mugging the couple.



Sunset Shimmer's apartment.

"Well," Starlight said, putting on her Mare-Do-Well costume, "time for me to head out again."

"Take care," Sunset smiled.

Putting on her mask, Starlight left.

Sunset, still smiling, picked up her journal and her pen.

She started to write to Princess Twilight.



Somewhere, outside of time and space.

A pair of eyes watched all the heroes of earth, as the public rejoiced at their return to active duty.

"Enjoy your victory while you can, Justice Force," a voice said, "for soon, you all will be nothing more than a forgotten memory."

The figure smiled to himself and continued to watch the heroes, "and there will be no one left to stop me," the figure laughed to himself.
