Thousand years in the past; Castle of the Two Sisters, before the rise of Nightmare Moon and the fall of Discord.

Where is that chaotic abomination? Luna was busy pacing in the throne room, her sister Celestia sitting upon her throne. News of the carnivore slimes have spread and have destroyed three of their settlements… No survivors were found after the attacks.

“Sister! Why doth we wait for this fool!? He is just a problem waiting to be unleashed upon our defenseless ponies!” shouted Luna, having no faith on their late guest.

“Luna Luna Luna… You should have me trust on others,” said a distorted voice. Appearing before the two sisters was the master of chaos himself… Discord. “Sorry for my lateness your ‘highness-es’ but I had a sudden visit with a friend.”

“Discord… While our goals do not aline, we share something that is both a threat to us… The Carnivore Slimes; The V-Slimes. I wish to make a truce with you, until the slimes have been wiped from this land… Will you help us?”

Surprisingly, Discord stopped to think, rubbing his chin hair with a thoughtful look. While Luna stared with agitation, Celestia had a neutral expression. Discord then nodded, and gave a smirk, chuckling for a while.

“Oh Cellie Cellie, Cellie… While we may had our fights… of course I’d help you. Those awful boogers have been a pain to my spine since they showed up. If I’m to rule this world, I’m going need something to entertain me…”

“Well? Will you help us you fiend, or do I need to blast you to ash!” said Luna, snarling.

“Hold your panties Luna,” said Discord, smirking. Luna blushed but snorted her snout, looking away. “But yes, I will help… So what exactly do you want me to do?”

Celestia leaned forward, staring straight toward Discord. “I want you… to infiltrate the slimes’ nest… and destroy their eggs.”

Discord smiled viciously, and with a bow, he followed the only order from Celestia until the next thousand years.

The pleasure… is all mine.

A thousand years after the end of the great war with the V-Slimes; deep within the Everfree Forest… a place hidden from the outside world.

Kept hidden for centuries, a grove aged through time has kept a secret from times before the modern cities of Equestria. The chattering and skittering of creatures are heard from the forest, but the grove was quiet… silent even; the sun shines upon a small nest, the size to fit an average-sized animal, like a small cub or a foal.

An egg was nestled upon the center of the nest… but it was larger than any egg known to Equestria, larger than a chicken egg… Bigger than a dragon egg. The egg was a strange coloration as it was a simple yellow tint, and shone like gold.

The egg’s existence felt unreal, as if its very appearance wasn’t meant to be. The grove had aged but was unhampered… no life having step hoof here for centuries.

The quiet melodious sound of somepony whistling was heard, it caused the animals to sway in delight to the sweet music, following in rhythm to the music. The egg reacted, as it bounced on its little nest; it continued to bounce until it fell off it little pedestal of a nest and cracked… A yellowish blob begins to spill out and crawl toward the humming. Nearby animals and creatures run in fear of the sudden creature… Gurgling in delight to the music, making its own strange array of noises.

“Grumeb Burbliy Plop Plop Lope!” said the creature, making a sound reminiscent of giggling.

The strange creature continued its small crawl, sticks, stones, and leaves getting stuck in its gelatinous form. The vegetation it touched left a strange residue behind, causing any animals touching it to slip and fall. The creature ignored all the other sounds and fearful running of the other inhabitants of the forest, only following the strange humming. The creature began to copy the humming in its own strange way.

“Hrm Hrmmm Hrmm Uirel.”

Near the Everfree Forest, the only denizen how lives close with nature and its creatures is the element of Kindness and the shiest of the Mane 6; Fluttershy. It has been a month since the return of Luna after her new friends have defeated Nightmare Moon. Fluttershy was busy humming a melody she knows while enjoying the company of her animal friends. Her pet bunny Angel sat on Fluttershy’s lap as she hummed her song; the bunny listened happily as the other animals.

Nothing like having some tea with friends and humming a tune… Its such a wonderful morning, and I was happy that Rainbow could make it sunny today… I wish everyone wasn’t busy today, but they have something things they need to do.

The shy pegasus sighed; while she was timid she was more open to her animal companions, being more assertive than she is to ponies or other races. The mare had a happy smile when she heard noise coming from the trees near her home. Suddenly, bursting out came a stampede of animals and beasts from the Everfree Forest – one of the beasts was the manticore Fluttershy helped.

“What’s happening? What are you all running from, if you want to talk about it?” asked Fluttershy, shyly.

The stampede ended shortly as all the creatures ran past her cottage to Ponyville. Ohhh, I hope everypony will be alright. Fluttershy stop mid-thought when she heard a terrifying noise, something she hasn’t heard before since he stay near the Everfree.

GRUMBI GEMLO POLP POLP LOKP BOINK!

Fluttershy was shaking in her hooves staring where the noise was coming from; she had the strange urge to run screaming. While Fluttershy was shy before, she has never once felt such a strange force command her to run. Most often she would just hide or overreact when it was just one of her animal friends coming to visit.

What’s wrong with me, I never became this scared before in my life! My mind is telling me to run the opposite direction of that noise… but my body… it won’t move!

Fluttershy realized she was alone as her animal friends have run and hid in the cottage, even Angel too was scared hiding inside a plant pot. The noise began to grow over time, and Fluttershy was shaking violently – her teeth chattering, wings spread wide as her fly-and-run instincts were activated – her body was ready to leave any second.

Expecting some horrible monster to come out the Everfree she waited… and waited… and waited… Then nothing happened; the noise even ended as nothing had come out of the Everfree at the slightest.

I… I guess the animals and creatures were just frightened by somethi-

“Baww-buuooo.”

Fluttershy stood still like a statue; “Where did that sound come from” she thought. It sounded close and… was that… purring? Looking down she saw something… well… she wasn’t sure what it was.

It was covered in sticks, stones, leaves, and a lot of dirt. Small patches of it was clear as it revealed a yellow-tint and looked… see-through. The most noticeable features was that it had two large pupil-less eyes the size of a big stone, and formed something that resembled a mouth of sorts.

The strange thing was currently purring before Fluttershy and as it reached her with a strange appendage covered in leaves… Fluttershy screamed.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

Now usually in these situations, both the protagonist and the strange creature both scream simultaneous without the other realizing their both screaming until another force stops their screaming… Well, that won’t happen because our little friend can’t scream… yet.

The strange creature was spooked by the noise and instead of attacking Fluttershy like assumed… it began to cry like a foal. It started to make a noise similar to young foals make if startled. “WAAAAAA WAAAAAAIIII WAAAAIIII!” It continued crying until Fluttershy stop screaming and began to calm and soothe the poor creature.

“I-I-I’m sorry, don’t cry. P-P-Pl-Please don’t cry. Ohhhh what did I do; I made a poor baby cry.”

Fluttershy was beginning to panic and when she reached for the strange creature… her hooves became covered in a strange slimy residue and was covered in the same objects stuck to the creature. Fluttershy made a face and started swinging her front hooves wildly to get the strange residue off.

“This stuff is slimy, more slimy than trying to hold a fish,” said Fluttershy, causing bits and pieces of sticks flying everywhere.

Fluttershy wasn’t bothered by the strange substance but as she swung her hooves crazily… She heard giggling. The small creature stopped crying and was gigging happily, a cute smile on its small form. “Ieieieie Hieieiheihei!”

“Ohhh? You find that funny do you?” said Fluttershy, her fear of the creature now gone. “You're in big trouble mister… I’m also sorry for screaming… You scared me… You probably also scared the poor creatures of the Everfree… Come here; let’s get you cleaned up.” Fluttershy attempted to lift the creature but ended with more slime on her than before.

“Oh… I guess I’ll bring a basin to clean you in; wait here.”

Fluttershy trotted in her home as she left a trail of slime and other objects; her animal friends watched from their hiding spots as the strange creature stood still where it was told, loyally.

She returned with a basin, a bucket of water, a sponger, some soap, and a towel. With an exhale she was able to carry the necessary things to clean the strange creature and herself. “Whew… That was heavy; now, let’s get you clean.”

Grabbing some soap and the sponge with a hoof she begins to scrub the filth from the creature, and cleaning off everything with the bucket of water. All the sticks and stones simply fell off the creature and fell to the basin, the dirt and water swirled making a brownish color. Leaves were pulled off from the creature by hoof leaving behind the creature’s true form.

It was the size of a big dog, having eyes big as rocks; it was made of a strange see-through slimy substance. Its mouth was simply a gaping hole that opened when a certain part of the creature’s slimy body split open upon will. The creature had zero signs of any internal organs, even its eyes did not look natural and seemed to be glued on.

In general it was a yellow slimy… thing… While its age was unknown, by looking at its eyes, Fluttershy could tell from experience it was a youngling, possibly recently born. With the knowledge she has, it was an infant, creature that she has never heard or seen before, made of a strange slimy viscous substance as its main body.

I should ask Twilight what this thing is? Maybe she might have an idea what it is?

Fluttershy was busy with her own thoughts that when she looked back, she found the creature drinking the remaining clean water from the bucket. “Oh my, you must be very thirsty.”

In seconds the bucket went completely empty, the water simply being absorbed by the creature. It made a burp noise and gurgled happily. “Buaw Pwop Mwahhh!”

“Ohhhh, you're so adorable… You should have a name though… Oh I almost forgot, I haven’t introduced myself. My name is Fluttershy, I live here and take care of my animal friends; speaking of which,” said Fluttershy, turning to face her cottage. “Now don’t be afraid everyone, he won’t hurt you, I promise.”

Slowly but surely all of Fluttershy’s animal friends appeared; Angel approached the creature and prodded it with a paw only to end up having his paw all sticky with the slime.

“Oh be careful, he is a bit slimy so try not to get too close.”

After a few moments, the animals kept a safe difference but were curious of the new arrival. The creature made some cute noises, happy to meet future friends. “Gwa Ba Buubuu!”

“It seems he likes you all… Now… you need a name, since you’ve been recently born… How about… Charlie!”

The creature made a noise of disapproval. “Mwah!”

“Ohhh… well I can’t think of any other name. I never had any trouble thinking of names for new creatures, especially something like you.”

The creature began to bob up and down before making a noise that sounded like it was speaking. “Yi… Yibble… Bibble; YIBBLE-BIBBLE!”

“Yibble? Bibble? Is that what you want your name to be?”

It nodded ecstatically as it hopped in excitement. “YIBBLE-BIBBLE! YIBBLE-BIBBLE!”

“Okay then, its settled; your name is now Yibble-Bibble. Come along Yibble, let’s visit my friend Twilight.”

Fluttershy looked around and found a small pail, but as she brought it realized it wouldn’t fit Yibble. Suddenly, Yibble shrunk and fit snugly within the pail, its now tiny head popping out. It was so adorable that Fluttershy petted the top of Yibble’s head, and didn’t get sticky at all.

“Come on, I want you to meet my friend Twilight, she might know what you are? So let’s go visit her at the library. She lives in a tree,” said Fluttershy, picking up the pail with her teeth.

The creature, now named Yibble, made noises of interest as the duo left the cottage and headed to the nearest town; Ponyville. Yibble stared curiously at the town… for some reason it made the creature bob in joy, making a cute squeal. “Vwiiiiiii!”

Fluttershy and her new slimy friend trotted down the dirt road to Ponyville… the sun’s rays of a new day beam down toward the pony and the surrounding area. The start of a new day has begun… and the beginning of a new life.

Surprises, Research, & Burdens

The trot to Ponyville as always was interesting and colorful; ponies trotted from destination to destination, shopkeepers were opening up their stores. It was a bright and energetic day, and Fluttershy enjoyed the warm sun.

While she kept to herself most often, she still needed to come to town for supplies, food, and the occasional materials to build new homes for her animal friends.

Trotting down the busy streets of Ponyville, she looked down and saw Yibble staring back at her with its big black eyes.

“Don’t worry Yibble, we’ll get to my friend’s place soon,” said Fluttershy, making sure her hold on the pail is good.

“Who’re you talking to Fluttershy?”

“Eep!” Fluttershy dropped the pail, causing Yibbles to fall and turn to a puddle on the street. “Pinkie! Don’t do that; I thought we said to not do that?”

“Sorry, but I was wondering who your new friend is?” asked Pinkie. Pinkie smiled brightly, and brought her muzzle down seeing Yibble form to his original size. The pony and slime stared at each other unblinkingly.

Fluttershy watched with bated breath about what would happen, and luckily that the street they were at was empty so nopony noticed them. Pinkie kept staring and inching closer when Yibble placed a slimy tendril on her snout, and began purring. The vibration from Yibbles purring caused the pink mare to snort and laugh.

Soon Pinkie was enveloped by Yibbles sudden tickle attack, as she began rolling on the ground with the slime somewhat on top of her. “S-St-Stop! I’m-I’m tic-ticklish t-th-ther-aha-AHA HAHAHAAAAHH! STAHP EUP; MERCY MERCEEEIII!”

The laughing escalated until Fluttershy had to intervene by prodding Yibble on the top of his slimy head. “Now now Yibbles, you can stop.”

Yibbles obliged and moved away and return to the pail. Pinkie stood up and smiled brightly and played with Yibbles with her free hoof; interestingly enough, Pinkie wasn’t covered in slime, other than the fact that her fur and mane is somewhat frazzled.

“Fluttershy! Why didn’t you tell me you had a new friend?! He looks like he’d be fun to party with,” said Pinkie, making faces, playing with Yibble.

“Well… I met him when I was eating with my animal friends. He appeared from the Everfree when sort of scared all the wildlife.”

“Ohhhhh… so that’s why all the animals and beasts when bonkers. We were about to go to your place, but we had to stop the animal stampede. I was about to go see you, but since your here, you should come and show Twilight this cute little slime!”

“I was actually gonna take Yibble to Twilight if she could help know what he is… Wait, slime?” said Fluttershy, curious with the word.

“Yeah, slime; because his all slimy… so… Slime,” said Pinkie, bouncing away.

Fluttershy thought of this but agreed with the name of Yibble’s possible species. “Slime… I think that’s a perfect description; what do you think Yibble?” asked Fluttershy looking down at the slime.

“Gwaah, Yepsie!”

“You do like it, then I guess we solved some piece about you now.”

Pinkie and Fluttershy who was carrying Yibble headed to Golden Oaks Library; the place where Twilight Sparkle, the element of Magic lives. On the way there, Pinkie told Fluttershy that their other friends are there already and waiting for Twilight to finish sending a letter to Celestia.

“Let’s surprise everypony about Yibble; I bet yeah that Rarity will freeeak!” said Pinkie, giggling.

“Oh, I don’t want to scare anypony… Not that Yibble would scare anypony, his really sweet,” said Fluttershy. “Now aren’t you Yibble?”

Yibble answered Fluttershy’s question by reaching a slimy tendril and cuddling her muzzle. The feeling of the tendril on her muzzle was interesting as it didn’t leave any slimy substance and felt… soothing. Fluttershy smiled content with the feeling when she realized they finally reached the library.

“Here we are; welcome to Golden Oaks Library, Yibble my friend!” said Pinkie, opening the door. “GIRLS! I’M BAAAAACCK; AND I BROUGHT FLUTTERSHY!”

In each corner of the library, each of Twilight’s friends were busy distracting themselves. Rainbow was busily skimming through book after book, finding no interest in any of them. Applejack was currently reading a book on different apple recipes. With Rarity drink some recently made tea for herself, sipping the tea on a chair.

“Oh Fluttershy; are you okay my dear? After seeing that stampede coming from your cottage, I feared the worse,” said Rarity, standing up immediately.

“Now don’t worry Rares; Fluttershy here was going to be fine. I doubt a stampede of scared animals were to faze her. In all honesty, I thought she be the one running to calm and help the poor critters,” said Applejack, smiling.

“Your not wrong...” said Fluttershy, agreeing.

Rainbow was coming to join the conversation when she noticed the pail Fluttershy was holding. “Hey Flutters, what’s that you have with you?” asked Rainbow, inching closer.

Fluttershy put the pail down gently as Pinkie joined the rest of her friends. The three other friends neared the pail, when Yibble crawled out and reformed his true form.

Everypony’s reaction was… varying to say the least. “WHAT IN TARNATION!?”

“WATCH OUT FLUTTERSHY; ITS A MONSTER!”

“Oh my...”

“WHY ARE WE SCREAMING!?”

At that moment Rarity fainted, Rainbow was ready to knock anypony senselessly, Applejack was making sure Rarity was fine, while Pinkie… was currently shouting loudly. Coming down the steps was Twilight with Spike on her back, staring at their group of friends incredulously.

“Girls, girls! What’s happening?” asked Twilight. As Twilight made it to the bottom of the stairs, she backpedaled causing Spike to fall off, staring at Yibble with anxiety and caution. “Better question; what is that!?”

“Please everypony; inside voices. And if your wondering who this is, he… well, I’m not sure if its a male or female but; meet Yibble-Bibble… the Slime.” Fluttershy nudged Yibble a little for the small baby slime to say hello. “Say hi Yibble.”

The slime followed Fluttershy’s request, and turned to face the other ponies – and dragon – and made a cute garble. “Quallo!”

At that second… two ponies started freaking out. “IT CAN TALK!?” shouted both Twilight and Rarity; having woken from her faint.

“Didn’t see that coming...” said Spike, blandly.

In seconds Twilight rushed toward Yibble and began to examine every inch of the slime’s form – taking a sample of its slimy substance, checking its eyes, seeing any signs of any organs of any kind, and finally… its gender. Twilight tried picking up the strange creature only getting her hooves covered in slime – and causing a few of her friends to say “Ewww”.

“I guess it can’t be physically manipulated considering it has some sort of liquid-like substance to it… A sort of defense mechanism of sorts,” said Twilight, examining her slimy hooves.

The sudden contact toward Yibble caused the baby slime to crawl onto Twilight and on her back. Rainbow thought Yibble was harming Twilight and rammed herself toward the slime. “GET OFF OF HER!”

“Rainbow, no!” said Fluttershy, trying to stop Rainbow.

Yibble expanded itself and covered Rainbow in its slimy substance, trapping her as she tried to struggle out of the slimy hold. Rainbow started to shake and convulse after trying to free herself. Applejack responded to to help Rainbow out when…

“STOP STOP STOP! I GIVE! I GIVE!” shouted Rainbow, being tickled by Yibble.

“Urrr… Rainbow? You… you alright there?” asked Applejack, confused.

“Yibble; could you please stop tickling Rainbow… If you want...”

Everypony became confused by what Fluttershy had said what was happening to Rainbow when Yibble slipped off the rainbow-maned mare, and crawled back to the pail. Yibble giggled happily and did a cute jig, swinging tiny tendrils left and right, making the pail tip left and right.

“Wha… Wha-What happened… What did that, ‘thing’ do?” asked Rainbow, coming out of her daze.

Twilight examine Rainbow carefully and came to a revolution. “It appears… that Yibble was capable of removing any sign of aggression from you. Its possible that Yibble has the ability to change the emotional states of any living being alive.”

“So it can manipulate… ponies?” said Rarity, worried with that idea.

“Not manipulate, but suggest; what Yibble did was simply sent a telepathic message on repeat while it was… ‘tickling’ Rainbow. A message that it wasn’t a threat, over and over… Interesting,” said Twilight, taking a closer of Yibble.

The baby slime, moved a tendril toward Twilight and purred like a cat. She touched the tendril with her hoof and watched it snake and wrap itself around her hoof; she felt the telepathic message from Yibble… and surprisingly understood its meaning.

“When that stampede came by, I thought something bad was happening at the Everfree and sent a letter to Celestia… Maybe this isn’t so bad as I assumed, and that we could learn from… Yibble,” said Twilight, rubbing her other hoof on Yibble’s head.

A cough was heard as Spike approached the pail with Yibble inside, eying the slime with curiosity before turning to Twilight. “Then we should probably tell Princess Celestia, not to send a squadron of royal guards here about… this incident,” said Spike, with a raised brow.

Twilight gave a weak laugh before slipping from Yibble’s hold and coughed weakly into her free hoof. “I’ll be right back girls… I need to go send another letter to the Princess. You girls get to know Fluttershy’s new friend… I think we’re going to be seeing… ‘her’ for a while.”

“Wait? Its a girl,” said Rainbow, standing back up. “How could you tell, with it being all… well… you know?”

“I couldn’t… She told me,” said Twilight, trotting upstairs. Spike followed her as the two prepared to write a letter to Princess Celestia; the girls – while slowly – gotten more introduced to Yibble-Bibble… The female slime.

“When’s her birthday?” asked Pinkie, playing with Yibble.

“It’s actually today… I think,” said Fluttershy. “I just found her some time ago.”

“Then we can make her a ‘Welcome to Ponyville’ and ‘Happy Being Born’ party! Oh! I’ll get the cake ready; what flavor does she like?”

Yibble touched Pinkie’s snout with a tendril, sending a telepathic message. After removing her tendril, Pinkie nodded in understanding. “Ohhhh… You like blueberries? Okie-dokie; one blueberry cake, coming right up. Meet you at the party in the evening girls; I got me a party to prepare!” With that Pinkie zoomed off, leaving the other girls alone with the baby slime.

“So… Fluttershy dear… What exactly is Yibble’s kind… if you know of course?” asked Rarity, taking her focus on Fluttershy.

Fluttershy rubbed her head in thought when she remembered what Pinkie said before they came in. “I think Pinkie suggested calling her kind… Slimes.”

“Slimes? Isn’t that a bit… simple,” said Applejack.

“Naw! I like it; cute guy is pretty slimy. A bit feisty too considering it stood one-on-one with me,” said Rainbow grinning.

“Rainbow dear, remember this is a girl… not a guy.”

“Yeah yeah… I should probably get cleaned up; meet you at the party!” Rainbow zoomed off, and soon Rarity and Applejack stayed to get acquainted with the slime and wait for Twilight to finish her letter.

Some distance from Ponyville, at Canterlot Castle; the princess of the sun was busy reading a recent letter from her student after receiving one just moments ago.

“Hmmmmm...”

A knock was heard on the door of the princess’s room; the first knock wasn’t answered, but the second and third knocks caught her highness’s attention. Putting the letter down with her magic, she made her way to the door, but standing some distance from handle-reach.

“Come in,” said her highness.

Coming inside Princess Celestia’s door, was nopony but her equal; Princess Luna – Princess of the Moon, and Protector of Dreams. Luna entered inside and while she was still smaller than Celestia, had some of her old coloration returning to her, with some patches of her fur still a light-hue of blue. The princess looked upset but had this sad-look to her at the same time.

“What is wrong Lulu-”

“DON’T… Don’t call me Lulu… I don’t deserve such a name...”

Celestia frowned and approached her sister with her wing, hugging her close. “If this is about your recent return, please… I forgive you Lulu… and I am sorry I neglected, and that I never noticed soon enough.”

“That is not why I am upset...” Celestia was now the one upset, because ever since Luna came back after a month of her return, she has become closed to herself. Most often, whenever she wished for something or spoke with her, she was… vague about things. Celestia wished for her to be more open and speak of every opinion she has for… everything.

I won’t make the same mistake… Not again. “Luna… remember, you can say whatever you wish; there’s no need to hold ba-”

“I brought them back...”

“...What are you talking about?”

Luna breathed a deep inhale, and exhaled slowly with deliberately slowness. She then stared back at Celestia for a short moment before staring of to the sky through an open window. “I almost brought back the V-Slimes during my rise as Nightmare Moon. I almost brought those carnivorous monstrosities to this world… after the two years we tried to extinct their kind, and I ALMOST revived them.”

“Luna; we talked about this. Whatever mistakes you made as Nightmare Moon wasn’t your fault-”

“BUT IT WAS!” shouted Luna, removing her contact with Celestia. “I DONE SO MANY HORRENDOUS THINGS DURING MY SHORT RULE OF EQUESTRIA AS THAT… that… ‘THING’! Trying to bring the sun down and keep the world in eternal darkness wasn’t the worse things I done; no… I murdered ponies, other beings from the nations I considered allies. Burned villages to the ground, gave curses to our loyalest of families, and… and… and...”

Luna was the near brink to tears, and Celestia tried to comfort her… when she exploded – emotionally.

“I KILLED STARSWIRL! I KILLED THE ONLY ADULT-FIGURE WHO TRULY BELIEVE IN US; IN ME! AND MURDERED HIM WITHOUT A HESITATION, AND I HAVE TO LIVE WITH THAT GUILT!” Luna fell to the ground wailing in tears, repeating forgiveness for a dead figure, respected by all historians, magical experts, and researchers across Equestria.

“I’M SORRY! I’M SORRY! I’M SORRY! I’M SORRY! I’M SORRYYYYY!” said Luna, repeatedly.

Luna laid there in a fetal position, making a pool of her tears, and realizing it now… she was in a terrible condition. Her fur was filthy, and barely ate anything for weeks, and while Celestia saw Luna eat when they ate together sometimes, she always said she needed to go to the washroom. She was then later told that the royal lavatories were always clogged; now realizing that Luna has been throwing up the food on purpose… She was slowly killing herself, in the most painful way possible.

Celestia was saddened to see how much in pain her sister was – both physically, mentally, and emotionally. During the aftermath and pre-aftermath of Luna’s banishment, she was told she was only causing distractions to guard patrols by destroying the paths, killing fields of food, and the occasional messenger being longer than usual. However… these reports were explained in such ways that suspicion was not that high… but the personal reports from civilians, some of her own guard, and said messengers… that was when it finally hit her.

“Luna… Please… Don’t hate yourself for what you done...” said Celestia, knelling down toward Luna.

“How can’t I? I’ve done these horrible things to so many of our subjects… How can I be forgiven of them, when I; the monster, killed and destroyed the lives of so many.”

“Because your not the one who created that monster… I am...” Luna looked up and realized the pained look of Celestia; her features were contorted, and her eyes were a slit as they were watery from tears that were impossible to be on a face such as hers. “It is my fault and burden that I neglected you and those who considered themselves your followers. You and they were rediculed for your difference… and I watched it all… Arrogant of my self-praise and blindness of the masses… While you may be called a monster; I am a fool of a leader… and while many not see that, I will be known for my past mistakes – both known and unknown to the public… It should have been me to be banished, not you.”

“Oh… sister.”

The sweet moment lasted and ended with the two sisters embracing one another, until both their tears – tears they held for centuries, were finally drained of the two. Luna started gasping for air after crying for so long and hard, and breathed in deep.

“Thank you… sister… but this is not why I came here. You see… I have felt… something,” said Luna. “I am not sure what it was or what it may be, but its something I haven’t felt for a long time...”

“What was it Luna?” asked Celestia, having stopped her tears too.

Luna gave a pause before looking toward her sister. “I felt… a telepathic line; there is only one such creature with the physical ability to create such a powerful telepathic link...”

Celestia stood up, and used her telekinesis magic to grab the recent letter and the previous letter she received from Twilight. Reading both once more, she put together the information in the letters, her sister’s warning… and her own experience.

Dear Princess Celestia,

A strange incident has happened; a stampede of animals and beasts from the Everfree Forest have gone berserk and nearly rampaged through Ponyville, as a stampede came through the town.

Only few gotten some scratches and cuts, but were okay; luckily my friends and I were able to save, help, and guide any ponies during the stampede.

It was a valuable lesson that while sometimes friends don’t always go along, it was important that we may not share the same interests, but doesn’t mean we can’t be friends.

Other important information about the incident was that the creatures all came from the one specific part of the Everfree – Fluttersh’y cottage.

We are going to head to Fluttershy’s to make sure she’s okay after this letter is sent, but I am told by Rainbow Dash that she was okay, and has been through her fair share of animal attacks and stampedes whenever a thunder storm, or earthquake were to happen around her part of the forest. I was even told the number of injuries she received from trying to help a baby cub off a tree that was about to fall; the baby cub kept on scratching Fluttershy but… she ignored the pain and saved the cub and returned the baby to her mother.

While each of us has our own strengths and weaknesses… Fluttershy is probably the most bravest of us to do something like that; especially as her life’s job.

We hope she is alright.

From your student;
Twilight Sparkle

P.S. Could you send a royal guard squadron here in case more dangerous creatures are to come from the forest… please… and thank you.

After the first letter was finished being read, Celestia paid her attention to the other letter.

Dear Princess Celestia,

Um… to start things off; could you please cancel that request for the royal guard to come to town… We may have solved why the creatures of the Everfree freaked out.

You see, Pinkie found Fluttershy trotting through town after the incident, and when she came to my library… I heard some noise. This was during me writing the first letter, and when I reached downstairs… I saw Fluttershy with a pail… but it was what came out of that pail.

A strange slimy creature the size of a large dog began to curiously look around its surroundings and the girls. It had two pupilless eyes the size of hoof-sized rocks. The strange slimy substance it was made from was see-through – well barely – and was of a yellowish tint that seemed to gleam. The slime was sticky but I felt some sort of strange… ‘feeling’, almost it was alive of sorts. Any slime away from the… well, Slime (I am calling them that after hearing my friends calling it a Slime; Slimenus Globieus); continuing, any slime from it causes it to act or have the sentience feeling. To say the least, it looses its connection with the original within a certain distance, and this connection will get stronger as it grows and matures.

I have also learned that the Slime is a baby… approximately four to five hours old, meaning its a literal infant. This explains while its pretty big, it is still considered smaller than a pony… it was however capable of expanding its size by fitting the pail it was carried by Fluttershy, or expanding its form to cover Rainbow (Don’t worry, she’s fine).

It was also capable of creating these tendrils… as to their use, that is unknown but I discovered another use… It can use telepathy; the Slime has the capacity to use a high-level mark-01 spell that only… Well somepony with magic compared to yourself or magic like an experienced wizard like Starswirl the Bearded.

With this knowledge, I can predict that it is capable of using – maybe even absorb… Magic. Whether these species have already been discovered or are a new kind of creature is another mystery to be solved later… I believe we… my friend Fluttershy has discovered a new ally princess; new SENTIENT life!

With it being a simple orphan, we can teach her (Its a her by the way… she told me) so many things; our culture, science, magic, language, history, and SO MUCH MORE! We may have even made a new friend too; its extremely friendly by the fact how its acted toward Rainbow and has gain the trust of at least four out of six of us. The first being Fluttershy; FLUTTERSHY of all ponies.

All in all… I wish permission and your support in this new project. Now while this may not be related to my main goal of making friends and improving my relationship with the friends I have now… I believe “she” can improve our lives and this town, maybe even Equestria.

Sincerely your student;
Twilight Sparkle

P.S. The Slime… her name is Yibble-Bibble; interesting to say the least. I am not sure if Fluttershy gave her – The Slime – the name or she had that name from birth, but from noting that Yibble’s birth parents aren’t in the area; both Ponyville, the Everfree Forest, and the surrounding area… Yibble might be an orphan.

Celestia put both letters down; she rubbed her forehead and sighed deeply in frustration. It can’t be… it just can’t…

“Sister? What… What’s happening?”

Celestia looked up and gave a weak smile, before calming herself down to respond to Luna. “While I am not sure about what I am about to tell you… but I think...”

“Think what?”

“...The V-Slimes… The Carnivore Legion… They’ve returned.”

Luna’s eyes widened in fear, and sent an unintentional magical burst, causing the surrounding objects in the room to either float and drop, go into flames, or be flung to the walls. Celestia saw this coming and were able to grab anything breakable, and extinguish the flames.

“THE CARNIVORE LEGION; THEE CARNIVORE LEGION! I thought we destroyed all those abominations; how is it possible!? During the final days of the two year war, Discord was sent to the main nest to destroy not only the Legion’s strategists, but destroy future generations of their main force to be eliminated. Eggs smashed… dozens and dozens… We had…” Luna took a deep sobbing gasp, remembering the many innocents died, and soldiers killed. “...We… had to burn down future cities to the ground… Those who remained and stayed in those cities burned alive… Rather than them being slaughtered by the Legion… I watched… so many of the innocents’ families came to the throne… asking… for their family, friends… If we did not do what we had to do, those who died would become resources for the Legion...”

Luna looked up, fury re-enlightened like never before since her return… or that one incident with Blueblood. “I will not… NO! …I swear that I will never let this horror happen once more… To many died… so many generations… gone in a blink of an eye.”

“Luna please!” shouted Celestia, but recomposes herself from spooking her sister. “We are unclear if what Twilight has wrote, and what knowledge we known about the incident, all those centuries ago. The war took so many lives, and the Carnivore Legion are mindless beasts that followed orders of their smartest, strategical of their kind… From the letters sent by Twilight… it sounds as if the creature I am being told of… has intelligence, personality, emotion… That it is sentient.”

Luna’s shock and silence spoke volumes; she was unable to express which emotion to show. “Se… Sentience? ...You mean… This ‘thing’ can think?” said Luna, the shock slowly coming to her.

“Not thin k Luna… That it… ‘she’ may have evolved.”

“Evolved? The Carnivore Legion soldiers do not feel, nor are they possible to change from their given instincts. The possibility of such things are impossible; they were bred to being killing machines and loyal to their hive. One mind… a whole legion; we had zero incidents of a defect… with only the Smooze being the only one because of a unique difference.”

Celestia agreed to, but looked out the window and watched the far reaches of the nation she helped grow. “If there is one thing I have learned through the centuries of my rule alone… The impossible… is simply another word for prophecy; a few centuries after your… banishment. A mage who had the gift to see the future, saw a moment in time… of a being similar to the Alpha V-Slime; “The God of Change”. That mage sadly died to early after showing me that moment of time… and what I saw… was something that could change the reality of our world…”

Luna was afraid what she was about to hear, but was also anxious to hear that such… a creature – another one of its kind existed. While an Alpha V-Slime was as deadly when the sisters combined their powers together… it was also – in a word, “beautiful”. The Alpha was the only thing with sentience; a personality that… connected with Luna… while it has been a long time, the things… the two spoke… those memories would last for a long time. “You mean...”

“A new Alpha is being born… and if that is what’s happening in Ponyville, we need to keep a careful eye. Not only that, but… we may even convinced this new Alpha to be allies with us. The only reason the Carnivore Legion attacked us was because of the Alpha contacting us… they found it a threat to their leader… They saw us as if we were a virus… the Alpha was the brain, the soldiers the white cells, the workers and others the red cells… and the hive as a whole, were the body.”

“But if their Alpha was so important… Why would he come to us in the first place?”

“It was because of his uniqueness that he was alone… The need of more than one Alpha was unnecessary and took too many resources It caused the old Alpha… the last Alpha… he felt alone… and felt a connection with us… A want… I just wished his kind did not kill us all off.”

“...Me too...”

“That is why I will trust Twilight with this, and that she can give a new future for both our kind… A new beginning...”

“But… this new Alpha. What exactly so different about the old one?”

Celestia recollected the vision she saw; before the death of the mage… she was given the ability to see the future… this was her first vision… and it was the one vision she will make sure, never becomes real. “A being more powerful than anything I have ever or will ever see… Standing a top the defeated forms of the Elements, you and I… and all of Equestria. It shone brighter than the greatest jewel… standing tall on two legs, eyes lifeless but gleaming with a consuming abyss. The strongest noticeable thing… was that is almost resembled…

“It looked like Discord…” Celestia stared to the sky, not bothered by Luna’s sudden disgust at the Spirit of Chaos’s name being mentioned. What have you done Discord?

Within the garden of Canterlot Castle; a statue of a certain being.

Discord’s prison, turned to stone… a statue to stand for time… A certain laugh echoed across the garden unheard… as a deep distort voice spoke.

I never keep promises Celestia… You should know me better… I have plans for that little slime… Soon… Soon...

Parties & Interesting Conversations

View Online

Ponyville, Sugarcube Corner; Pinkie busily cooks up the cake for Yibble’s party.

This cake is going to be the best of the best of cakes I have ever baked; its going to be… CAKETASTIC! Pinkie was mixing the ingredients for a blueberry cake, when she heard some commotion happening outside.

“Miss Cake, could you keep mixing this for a few minutes. I’ll check what’s happening outside,” said Pinkie, giving the mixing bowl to Miss Cake.

“Sure Pinkie; I’m happy to know you met a new friend… Who was this cake to be made to again?” asked Miss Cake.

“Oh, a baby slime.” With Pinkie leaving the room, Miss Cake stopped to pause and stare back in confusion.

“A what?”

The second Pinkie stepped out of the kitchen she saw a few ponies talking about something. A fight or argument wasn’t currently happening between the two ponies, but they were definitely speaking about something. Luckily nearby patrons either ignored the two, or were talking about something else, but the conversation was getting a small crowd around the two ponies.

Pinkie neared closer to listen into the conversation, finding the whole thing interesting… but found the subject of the conversation upsetting her.

“Did you see that thing; that weird yellow thing that Fluttershy mare was carrying in that pail?”

“Yeah I saw it; first the stampede and now this! I bet she’s the reason this is all happening, and its caused by that thing she found.”

“We need to do something, I see my fair share of weird things in this town, but I have never seen something like that in my life.”

“We should get some complaints to the mayor; I am not going to live with that freak of nature.”

“You said it...”

Pinkie stopped listening and turned to face away from the two ponies. She sighed sadly now knowing that a number of ponies don’t wish to be Yibble’s friend. Poor Yibble… I hope everypony can get along be friends.

Ponyville, Rainbow Dash’s Cloud House; after taking a shower, Rainbow goes for a short glide over Ponyville.

Nothing like the wind in your mane, and the sky above you… “Ahhhhhh,” said Rainbow, relaxing.

Rainbow spotted a nice cloud to lay on and approached. After making herself comfortable, and stretching her body – the sounds of muscles popping was heard – she laid down.

“...I wonder what I should get that Slime as a gift… I believe her name waaaasss… Yooble? Yemble? ...I’ll remember it when I get the chance. Now; gifts, gifts, gifts.”

Rainbow stared down below Ponyville’s marketplace to spot any ideas for a good gift. After countless time, examining different shops and stores, she spotted one particular shop she visits often with Pinkie. Flying off her cloud, she floats down and makes her way inside one of her favorite places to be.

“The joke store… Perfect,” said Rainbow, grinning ear-to-ear.

Entering inside, a small “ding” noise is heard; coming to the front is the owner of the joke store. “What can I get- OH! Rainbow; here again for one of my infamous prankster items? I got one of the premium ones for sail, and I’ll give you a discount,” said the joke store owner.

“That’s cool that’s cool, but I’m here to give a certain… ‘Pony’ a gift; a welcome to Ponyville kind of gift.”

“Ohhhh, so a prank gift?”

“Ye- Wait wait, no… I think something like a real gift… You know like a gift for some… pony who I want to be into pranking,” said Rainbow, trying her best not to mention the Slime.

“Ahhh… I understand; I’ll be right back.” The shopkeeper went to the back; the sounds of items being moving, being dropped, and clanking was heard. A giant wave of dust come out through the doorway the shopkeeper went. Rainbow was about to burst through when she saw the shopkeeper coming out – covered in dust. The shopkeeper brought a small box, with the words “Knick-Knacks/Prank-Laughs”; the box showed signs of aging, and had the smell that you’d only smell on things… that were old.

“This here box has some pretty old items used by the oldest of pranksters… Some were made when they were just babies… A few of mine when I was a foul; I think your friend might like one of them if I am right on who they are.”

Rainbow opened the box gently, a small cloud of dust rising up from being trapped in the small space. Rainbow coughed away the dust and after regaining her sight, looks upon the small toys. A few were interesting… but one in particular caught her eye. “What about that one?”

“Oh… that; its a simple novelty item, something comedians carry with them to add more… Fun, to their shows… are you sure this will be a good gift?”

Rainbow took one final look and grinned. “Oh, I’m sure she’ll like it.”

“Then you found your gift.”

“How much is it?”

“It costs nothing...”

“NOTHING!?” shouted Rainbow, slamming both her front hooves on the front desk.

“Nothing; these items are old and are rare to find… However, since you are one of my most visited customers and this is a gift… I thought that there was no need for me to sell. I am on break,” said the shopkeeper.

“But your store says open.”

“Miss Dash! I may sell joke items, but it doesn’t mean I myself don’t use them once in a while.” The shopkeeper presses a hidden button, causing the sign to change from open to close. Rainbow gasps at the strange but interesting device.

“...How much does that cost?”

“Sorry, its a unique item; I made it myself.”

Rainbow shook away her stupor and turned to her gift for Yibble, before looking back up at the shopkeeper. “Uhhh, you wouldn’t have any wrapping paper? …Would you?” asked Rainbow.

The shopkeeper pulls out some interesting wrapping paper, showing a pattern of playing cards. “The question you should ask is, ‘What I don’t have?’”

Ponvyville, Golden Oaks Library; after sending the 2nd letter to Princess Celestia, Spike and Twilight talk about Yibble.

“So what do we do Twilight?” asked Spike, holding a scroll and quill.

“Well for starters, we need to understand Yibble. She’s a baby slime, who’s hatched for four to five hours at most; her kind is made of a sticky gelatinous substance. She can use these tendrils to send in telepathic messages through physical contact; other notable abilities is to subdue possible predators and shape her form, stretching or making her current form smaller. With her form being mold-able, it is likely she’s invulnerable to physical contact – both by animate and inanimate objects. However, the one thing that is unique about Yibble is her strange ability to cause some fear toward the creatures of the Everfree… Whether this is a passive defense system against predators is simply another mystery to be solved; it is strange though… Why have such an ability when numerous attacks won’t cause any harm to her kind?”

Twilight looked up to Spike who finished writing what she said; with that Spike rolled up the scroll and placed it somewhere for safe-keeping. “Done! I think we should head downstairs to see the others, and Yibble.”

“Indeed Spike,” said Twilight. I wonder if the others have gotten to know Yibble better; so far, Pinkie, Rainbow, and Fluttershy have shown to be Yibble’s friend… Rarity and Applejack though.

Twilight trotted down the steps with Spike following behind; once they reached the end of the stairs, they saw that only Applejack and Fluttershy with Yibble were the only ones left in the library. “Where’s Rarity?” asked Spike, finding somewhere to sit.

“She went back to her store; said something about wanting to get ready for Yibble’s welcome party. I stayed since we got all our orders for the week all completed… so what have you learned about Yibble, Twi?” asked Applejack. Yibble was laying on Fluttershy’s lap, the baby slime cuddling against the pegasus.

“Well… not much; all we know is that she’s a… she, who’s capable of telepathic abilities through physical contact. Is able to morph her form through an imaginable way… and is a baby.”

“Oh, she can also drink water… by absorbing it,” said Fluttershy, adding that fact.

“And that as well… Wait? She can do what!” Twilight approached Fluttershy, holding her head between her cheeks, mushing them together. “Why didn’t you tell us before?”

“Aw jus wememberr,” said Fluttershy, her voice slurred.

Twilight let go of Fluttershy as she rubbed her cheeks; Yibble purred reaching a tendril to her cheek. “Don’t worry Yibble; Twilight didn’t mean to hurt me.” Yibble seemed confused by the strange contact Twilight did to Fluttershy, but tried her best to understand.

“So we know she can drink… What’s so shocking about that?” asked Spike, oblivious to the realization.

“It means Yibble can digest food without organs like a stomach… Now the question is what can she eat as food?” This caused all present in the room except Fluttershy, to stare at the baby slime with new curiosity… and fear.

Fluttershy caught on and gasped, defending Yibble with her hooves – while all it did was get her hooves slimy. “You think Yibble will eat us!? I thought better from you Twilight.”

“What’s does she mean Twilight?” asked Spike, confused.

“Nothing Spike nothing!”

“Now sugarcube; we’re not saying that Yibble… might try to hurt us… But we don’t know anything about her or her kind… we don’t even know there are even more of her kind. We should expect anything, especially for my family who lives close to the Everfree… I mean, you live near the place too so you’d have to understand the risks from being so close.”

“That doesn’t explain why she asked Pinkie for a blueberry cake,” said Spike, pointing that out.

“Indeed… but where did Yibble get the fascination for blueberry?”

“I… might know...” said Fluttershy.

1 hour before Fluttershy came to Twilight’s.

“Oh look Yibble; blueberries! You have to try some!”

The baby slime looked at the small blue things, and after taking some to eat, grew to love them and their taste. The slime gathered as many blueberries until her slimy form slightly turned a dark blue for a few seconds, returning to their original yellow.

Present time; Golden Oaks Library.

Everybody gawked at Fluttershy, as the shy mare distracted herself by petting Yibble on the head. “You fed… a creature that nopony has ever discovered… and never mention that to us when you came here, until now… because you… forgot?”

Fluttershy looked up before continuing to pet Yibble. “She was hungry...”

Twilight’s eyes rolled up and fainted right there; Spike sighed and gotten off his chair. “I’ll get the tea ready.”

“Welp Flutters… I guess you figured out what Yibble eats...” I hope…

Ponyville, Carousel Boutique; some time right after Rarity left, the fashionista busily worked on making a gift for Yibble… however.

“I DON’T KNOW WHAT KIND OF GIFT TO GIVE HER!” shouted Rarity, pulling her own mane – not roughly though. “She’s a slime and any clothes I think of won’t work; it would either won’t fit her or simply be slimed by her ‘unique’ look! ...I’m doomed...”

“Rarity? Is everything alright?: Rarity looked up and stared at the door of her room to find her sister Sweetie Belle looking back at her with worry. Rarity sighed and motioned for her to come in, responding back to the filly’s questions.

“Everything is fine Sweetie… I’m just working on a gift for a new… comer to Ponyville… But all the gifts I think of won’t work for… her.”

“Have you tried giving her a hat?”

“Yes.”

“How about some boots?”

“I don’t think that will work.”

“Why not?”

“Well-”

“Oh! What about some glasses?”

“She… doesn’t need glasses.”

“Thhhheen… What about… A BOW!?”

Rarity was about to respond when it hit her too. A bow… a bow… a… a… “A BOW! OF COURSE! It’s simple, small, and would work perfectly for her; I can also add some sort of enchantment to it if I ask Twilight for some help. What kind of color should it be? Red, blue, green – no wait, green would look awful. Sweetie thank you! Now while I must thank you for the wonderful idea, I must get to work; inspiration doesn’t take breaks! You should get ready for the party.”

“YEAH! I want to meet this new pony. I SHOULD TELL THE OTHERS!” In that moment Sweetie Belle ran off to go tell her friends of the news. As Rarity was about to begin making her gift for Yibble… she came to a realization…

Indeed… Meet the new ‘pony’… … ...I hope your right Twilight… but something about Yibble… its just something isn’t right about her.

Canterlot, Canterlot Train Station; arriving near the station is the Princess of the Sun and Moon, with that is a small group of guards – both from the Royal and Night Guard. From the perspective of Luna, the princess glances at the sights of the train station and the train itself, having never seen such machinery before.

Such wonders; what kind of magic have our ponies used to create such… ‘machines’ is what they call them I believe? Luna stared with awe at the train and the station; after being convinced to come with Celestia about something, she has tried her best to return to her original goal.

This included to getting her original weight and muscle – a long food binge – with her sister of course. For her smell… well Celestia personally asked to clean Luna herself, and while the Night Princess protested to be cleansed like a foal, Celestia done so, no matter how much Luna squealed and tried to escape her grasp. While signs of her malnourishment could be seen, Celestia believes this party may fix that.

“Where are we going sister, and why do we not take the royal carriage or even your Captain’s request for using the pegasi drawn carriage?” asked Luna, examining the machine before her.

Luna prodded the train with a hoof, and while she was told it wasn’t made through the power of magic but some called, Science… it did make her wonder how such inventions were made by one pony… or ponies to be more precise – Luna couldn’t tell the difference with all of these genius ponies during her thousand banishment.

“Because, I want to make our appearance to meet my student, as quiet as possible. I was also told to keep my visit… secret… I was told to do so from the invitation by the Element of Laughter,” said Celestia, smiling.

“You mean Miss Pie? What exactly is she inviting us to?”

Luna watched Celestia pull out an invitation, and while it wasn’t that long it spoke about one thing in particular that caught her highness’s attention. “We are apparently going to be invited to Ponyville’s party for…” said Celestia, looking at the invite once more. “Come to the ‘Welcome to Ponyville’ party of… Yibble-Bibble.”

“Yibble-Bibble? By Faust; what kind of pony’s name is that?” asked Luna, finding the name… familiar. “And why is it so familiar.”

“Because… it is a V-Slime name… It means...”

Glowing Darkness.

Several hours later; Ponyville, Ponyville Square; the party for Yibble-Bibble, being held by Pinkie is taking place in the center of town.

Pinkie – who was currently giving some refreshments to ponies – bounced happily amongst the party-goers. So far, those she invited came… and while only some knew or heard about the rumors of who’s party it is, a majority of ponies are oblivious and are here simply to party. In the distance she can see her friends coming, with only Fluttershy and Twilight not here yet.

“Hey! You came! Where’s Fluttershy, Twilight, and our slimy little friend?” asked Pinkie.

“They had to go to the place Yibble was born; the Everfree Forest should be safe since the critters and beasts are still afraid of Yibble, apparently,” said Applejack.

“I can’t believe that manticore we saw, running through Ponyville was scared of Yibble! BWAHAHAH! It was the most hilarious thing ever!”

“Now Rainbow, don’t forget that we were suspicious of the- I mean, Yibble. So, Pinkie, what kind of activities have you set up for this party of yours?”

Pinkie began to talk about the things she prepared when Applejack became distracted; Spike noticed this and gotten her attention after snapping his claws together. “Hey, Applejack. Applejack.”

“Huh; oh sorry Spike. You need something?”

“I should ask you that; you alright?”

Applejack bit her lower lip, and glanced away, staring at those who were at the party. “Its just… What do you think everypony will think of Yibble; she’s not a pony, and she’s not something anypony knows about… I’m worried something terrible will happen…” said Applejack, rubbing her hoof. She was shaking… the last time she was shaking this badly was when Nightmare Moon came back… She kept on remembering the stories she was told by Granny Smith… and then she started to think what would happen to Applebloom and-

Applejack’s own thoughts stopped when she felt Spike’s claw placed on her back; the apple farmer looked down with a worried looke, as Spike gave a smile. “Don’t worry… I’m sure Yibble doesn’t mean any harm… If everypony can accept a dragon living with them, I’m sure they can accept Yibble too.”

“Yeah… Yeah you’re right Spike… We seen weirder, and I doubt Yibble will change that.”

Rarity examined much of the decorations when she heard a rumor spreading – a very recent one. The second it reached Rarity’s hearing… her eyes bulged as she squeaked in surprise. “THE PRINCESSES ARE COMING!?”

“What in the fresh apples are yeah shouting bout Rarity?” asked Applejack, having focused around herself. “What’s this about the Princesses coming?”

“OH! I almost forgot to mention; I invited the Princesses to come,” said Pinkie, with an innocent smile.

“AND YOU DIDN’T MENTION TO TELL THIS TO US! ESPECIALLY ME!” shouted Rarity. “I NEED TO GET READY! THIS OUTFIT WILL NOT DO!” Running back to her boutique, Rarity plans to change her current outfit, which was one of her latest designs – a flowery dress with a fitting hat, representing today’s season.

“Sweet; the Princesses are coming! Does that mean Princess Luna is going to be here too,” said Rainbow. “I wonder how she’s doing.”

“We can figure that out later, I should tell Twilight this. I’ll wait for them near Fluttershy’s.” With that, Spike too run off to tell of the recent news.

“I guess I should help my family bring in some of our apple products for this party… Speaking of which; what kind of gifts you girls brought with you?”

“Come on Applejack, telling each other of what we got as gifts will ruin the surprise… You’ll just have to wait.”

The three remaining ponies wait their separate paths of the party; everypony enjoyed the activities set up by Pinkie, the food from Applejack and her family, and Rainbow’s pumped up energy is keeping the party bursting with more and more energy. So far, everypony is enjoying themselves… so far… but meanwhile.

Everfree Forest; somewhere deep within the confines of the ancient forest, Twilight and Fluttershy – who was carrying Yibble in the same pail, walked through the same path Yibble crawled through.

So far, we passed Zecora’s and the castle; Zecora has noticed the strange activity with the creatures of the Everfree, but she told us that the main source of the commotion was happening deeper within. We asked if she seen Yibble during the commotion but was unable to since she was inside her home out of safety from the stampede – she did however found Yibble to be in her words, “My my, a cute yet curious being.” When we reached the castle, it only made things more confusing; apparently, the stampede caused the nearby trees and the castle itself to… well… fall down. The castle is still standing with some of its walls fallen but the trees have created barriers of sort so we had to go through the castle, and I and Fluttershy had to traverse the canyon our own ways.

Now we’re currently moving through parts of the forest that I didn’t knew existed… even things I have never seen before.

Twilight busily climbed over a fallen tree that had fallen years ago – the signs of decay and moss covering it was a clear sign. Fluttershy flew over it, but sadly she had to leave the pail; luckily, Yibble’s form has made new changes. Yibble has grown slightly and her form has become more stable and solid, while keeping its gelatinous look to it. Right now, the baby slime was sitting on top Fluttershy like how Spike would with Twilight, but it seemed awkward to look at how it was possible and the slime would sway whenever Fluttershy trot behind Twilight.

The group made through what appeared to be… a graveyard – not in the traditional sense. The clear sign and smell of decay was noticeable… but it felt… ancient… like whatever had passed away here was dead a long long time ago. The vegetation here seem to die off as if the area was cursed, but what was worse was the water. The water had this acidic look to it that if you touched it, you were sure to come with deadly diseases; this was proven when Twilight kicked a stone to the foul water when the stone – literally – dissolved. This terrified the mares, but when Yibble approached it… she seemed to have a sad look to her. Fluttershy quickly scooped the poor baby slime back to her back and nuzzled her – Twilight found it adorable, and tried to hold back a squee.

After the group made through the lengthy death-like area… they came upon something interesting… a small grove. The grove was untouched and untainted; the two ponies could see and smell the purity in the air as time itself seemed to be blocked off by this area in particular. And in the center, atop a wooden stump-like pedestal… was Yibble’s egg; the egg was cracked and a small hole where Yibble crawled at was around the bottom of the shell.

The egg was similar to Yibble’s coloration with a few unique patterns; a strange four-pointed star, that was colored an off-white. While the pattern was white stars and a yellow surrounding the stars… the stars seemed to glow another color whenever the sun hit them… a strange monochrome of sorts – a rainbow-esque pattern of grays, blacks, and whites.

“We found the egg… and so far we found no sign of Yibble’s parents; from the condition of this grove… It’s possible that Yibble’s egg was orphaned… meaning her parents are-” Twilight shook the idea away; being the only one of your kind was a terrifying thing… it was same to Spike’s condition when he was born, but while there were other dragons… to not meet his own parents…

Twilight continued examining the egg, and carefully levitated the shell’s pieces into a saddlebag she brought with her. However, the second she done so, the grove… began to change; slowly the vegetation within the small space died away, withering away like dust. Twilight and Fluttershy – while were once in a grove – found themselves standing in an empty space of land… almost like the area they were in never existed.

“What happened Twilight?” asked Fluttershy, spooked by the sudden change.

Twilight thought of this and brought her own hypothesis. “Its possible the egg was enchanted with some sort of magical barrier sensor. Meaning that Yibble’s egg was deliberately placed here… but why, and the sensor was meant to act if intruders were to touch or take the egg… but since Yibble already hatched and the enchantment was meant for anybody to touch the egg… The spell never activated; it still however does not explain why the surrounding area vanished… unless…” Twilight started to thing deeply until she was unable to bring up a proper answer. “Either way, we found Yibble’s egg and with it I can see how old her egg was and see if I can find more information about her kind. Let’s head back to your cottage, its the closest place and I can teleport us there.”

Twilight concentrated her spell and the location she wishes to teleport too, and poof they were gone. The now empty area was replaced with something else… replacing it… was a throne… an empty, lonely throne.

Ponyville, Fluttershy’s Cottage; Spike sits near the front door of Fluttershy’s as he waits for Twilight and Fluttershy to return.

They’re sure taking their time… “So how was your day?”

Spike stared back at the Angel as he too was waiting for his owner, when a loud pop was heard. Standing where there was an empty space of grass was Twilight and Fluttershy; Yibble was with them but something seemed off about the slime… did she get bigger?

“What did you girls find?” asked Spike, approaching the two.

“I can explain later Spike, but we did find Yibble’s egg shell. Let’s return to the party, I’m sure she wants to open her presents and meet everypony else.”

“Yeah… about that… You see, when you and Fluttershy were away… Pinkie told us that she also invited...”

“Invited who Spike?” Twilight inched closer to Spike finding this new information, intriguing.

Spike kept silent for a few seconds before speaking out. “Sheee… invited the Prince-”

“SHE INVITED THE PRINCESSES!” shouted Twilight, catching on more quicker.

“Ohhh, my...” said Fluttershy, placing a hoof on her muzzle.

“Pwincersses?” said Yibble, giving a tilt of her… body.

“Welp, you caught up, quickly.”

“WE HAVE NO TIME! QUICK TO PONYVILLE!” Before Spike could ask what she was going to do before they arrived, she teleported away. That left Fluttershy, Spike, and Yibble – the baby slime found the sudden disappearance of Twilight interesting, and giggled to herself.

“Bi Bi Paple Ponie!”

Fluttershy helped Yibble to climb on top her mane, and with that she glanced and Spike and the two made their way back to Ponyville. “Let’s head to the party Spike.” Spike wished to speak but sighed in defeat, following behind.

Just… go with it Spike.

Ponyville, Town Square; Twilight’s perspective.

Twilight teleported inside her home but instantly made her way outside… when she haven’t realized she was about to bumped into somepony. THE PRINCESSES ARE COMING; I NEED TO GET READY AND-

“OMPH!” said Twilight, going muzzle first into something soft… and big.

Twilight landed back onto her haunches as she rubbed her muzzle, and looking up to find what she made contact with. “What… did I hit?”

“Why Twilight… I thought I taught you to be more careful with your surroundings… Reminds me when you first stayed inside the castle.” Twilight stopped her everything as she stared at the golden shoes that were upon the most whitest hooves she has seen. That… voice… it can’t be.

With a slow but cautious look, Twilight stared back at her teacher and second mother-figure… Princess Celestia; behind her was most of her friends, Princess Luna, some Royal Guards, and some of the ponies who came to the party. Twilight had her mouth agape as she stared with utter shock at the sudden appearance of her teacher.

Twilight was so dumbfounded by Celestia’s appearance… that she lost the ability to speak.

“Twilight? Um… Twi, you okay?” asked Applejack, shaking her friend.

“Ce-Ce-Celesitia is-i- is, he-he-her-here… I wha- I buwaaahhh?”

“Just take a deep breath sugarcube.”

Pinkie was laughing at Twilight’s reaction while Rainbow simply watched with a grin. Rarity later came to the scene wearing a new set of clothes when she saw the Princesses and squealed with… joy? Shock? Well either way she was- Oh wait… she just fainted… Uhhhh…

“Oh come on Rares; you too!” shouted Applejack, finding the situation silly – and another word that starts with “S” but I can’t write down because this is E-rated.

Later to come was Spike and Fluttershy, but before they too could react to the appearance of the Princesses… the unexpected happened.

When Luna turned to hear more gasps – which came from Fluttershy – she saw… Yibble… Now a lot could happen from seeing something you haven’t seen before, but Luna has seen such a creature… and by guessing by her snarling and her grimace… She was not happy… in the name of all that’s holy.

Run Fluttershy… Run for all that’s cute… and adorable.

“MONSTER! KILL IT WITH FIRE!” shouted Luna. Ironically, one of the Royal Guard was holing a lamp, and instantly she grabbed it and began chasing Fluttershy – or in this case, Yibble who was on Flutters mane.

Fluttershy’s eyes bugged out and she followed her natural instincts. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

Yibble was oblivious for being a baby and did the one other thing babies do when under danger. “WIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!” They screamed in happiness that’s what.

“LUNA! I said not to overreact; you promised you wouldn’t burn anythi- LUNA NOT THE CAKE!” Celestia chased her sister, as a strange sight was happening before everypony. A pony with a strange blob on top her mane was being chased by the recently returned Princess of the Moon, who was swinging a lamp wildly, causing nearby objects to burst to flames – whether that was caused by the lamp or the occasional blast of pure magic. Following behind them was Celestia trying to calm Luna, with the Royal Guard – carrying spears and wearing very, very heavy armor – trying to catch up.

Ponies who were near, either watched the speculation or dodged out of the frenzy chasing; the Mane 6, while should be helping their friend… found the sight so odd… that they forgot it was Fluttershy being chased. The only one – well two – who cared was Applejack and Spike… who gave up and just joined watching too. “I wonder if things gotten odder or it was like this already,” said Applejack, sitting down.

“You and me both,” said Spike, agreeing.

While the party was pretty much being trashed, it would be restored in the next coming chapter by Pinkie – who was oddly not watching and was somewhere else… probably making another cake… Speaking of things that are odd; for a pegasus, Fluttershy can run quickly… Welp, that’s that; I think I’m done breaking the 4th wall… and breaking some ponies minds and poor hearts – I’m sorry Luna and Fluttershy – back to the story!

Plan Cake, Gifts, & A Whole Lot of Apologizing

View Online

Ponyville, Town Hall; after Luna was calmed down, and a couple of fires put down.

“I am deeply sorry for my behavior earlier… but…” Luna stared at Yibble who was still oblivious to her surroundings and tried to calm down a very scared Fluttershy – shivering still from the whole chase. “That ‘thing’ is not some house pet! It is a threat to our ponies and this nation!”

“I’m confused here Princess Luna but… What’s so threatening about Yibble?” asked Twilight.

After the chase, the group spoke privately in the town hall, and while this did not stop the party, some planned events had to be postponed until the quick talk was done. Pinkie was the only one not present, having went off to prepare another cake – she was of course not bothered by the other cake having been destroyed and oddly saw this coming… hmmmm…

“Yibble, or to be more precise, its kind-”

“Yibble-Bibble is a she,” said Fluttershy correcting Luna. “If, you’re okay with that...”

Luna looked off to Fluttershy but sighed. “As I was saying… ‘Her’ kind are a vicious race of beings known by many names but are known as; The Carnivore Legion.”

“The… Carnivore Legion? Who or what are they?” asked Twilight. “I read many of the history books but a lot around the Age of Chaos was lost… and while much of it focused on the Spirit of Chaos, Discord, there were mentions of other… ‘creatures’.”

“You are not wrong my student, and there is a reason for any records of this race not being found in the Royal Archives or any known libraries… You see… it was done intentional the knowledge of such beings were not to be remembered.”

Twilight was shocked; the pony that taught to search and try every possibility and that anything is possibly. The pony who taught her that knowledge was the greatest asset to be used… It completely caught the book-hungry pony off guard – and off her thoughts about Yibble.

“Intentionally! Princess… don’t tell me you...”

Celestia nodded, and continued to explain something that was meant to be kept hidden for a long time. “Indeed… Years before Luna’s fall to become Nightmare Moon and the imprisonment of Discord… a war was waged against the Carnivore Legion. The was was so brutal, not even the events and atrocities done by other villains that came to Equestria could compare to the things the V-Slimes had done to both the ponies and many other races. The incident was so brutal that kept information that we learned about their race had to be burned in order for future generations to learn and create or even find remaining remnants of their kind… It was a dark for Equestria.”

Oddly enough while the majority of the ponies in the town hall were silent because they did not understand or knew of such events happening, only Luna and Celestia held an eerie quietness that showed the seriousness of it all… which was of course interrupted immediately by-

“I GOT THE PLAN B CAKE READDDYYYYYY… What I miss?” asked Pinkie. Pinkie pushed a stroller which held a sizable cake for everypony and the Princesses.

“Well… Pinkie-”

“We simply spoke about Yibble and her kind… Nothing interesting; now, what flavor is this cake?” asked Luna, approaching.

“Oh really, that sounds cool; and the cake’s flavor is blueberries – Yibble’s favorite.”

“Blueberries… How… ironic...” said Luna, muttering to herself.

“Luna? Is something the matter?”

“Huh, oh nothing… it just reminded me of something from the past.”

Coughing awkwardly, Applejack stepped forward. “Well, that was awkward and all but let’s get back to the party; I don’t think its right to talk about something that happened a long time ago, when Yibble hear hadn’t nothing wrong to us… She is just a baby so she doesn’t understand the world correctly.”

Luna glanced at the baby slime, and watched it as it cutely nibbled on a piece of its cake, while Fluttershy adorably nuzzled the top of its head – pieces of the cake and some blueberries stuck to its slimy face. “I suppose… We can’t blame future generations for the past mistakes of their ancestors...”

“That’s the spirit,” said Appljack, smiling. “Now let’s get this party started.”

With that, everypony partied and had a swell time; later on in the party, it was time for gifts. The first to give Yibble her gift was Rarity, followed by Rainbow, then Pinkie, Applejack, Twilight and Spike, and finally Fluttershy.

“Here Yibble, this is my gift to you,” said Rarity. Rarity levitated a small box, and placed in front of the slime. Yibble used her tiny tendrils and picked up the top and gently put it aside; inside was a black bow, a glow was surrounding it meant it was enchanted. Yibble picked up the bow and put on her head; the enchantment worked and the bow was slime-free.

“Whak Yu Wawity!” said Yibble.

“Oh it’s alright darling, you enjoying your gift is enough thanks from you I need.”

“Nice gift but you got to try mine next! You’ll love it!”

“It better not be some sort of prank Rainbow,” said Applejack, becoming suspicious.

“Its not, I promise… Its just something I got from the joke store.”

“Rainbow… While jokes are harmless and all, I don’t think she’s ready for… pranks,” said Fluttershy, worried.

“Fluttershy… not you too.”

Yibble ignored the mares and busily unwrapped her gift; after removing the interesting wrapping paper, inside she found the most interesting – and possibly best gift she was able to find. A loud squeak was heard as Yibble squeezed her gift out of delight. This caught everypony – and dragon’s – attention. Held in one of Yibble’s tendrils was a rubber duck wearing a tophat with a mustache, making a loud and obnoxious quacking noise.

“That’s your gift Rainbow?” asked Spike.

“Its… interesting…” said Twilight.

“Come on, it can’t be that bad; she likes it, look!” At that same time everypony looked, Yibble put the toy into her mouth and squeeze it like a dog, making loud quake noises, repeatedly.

“I guess your not wrong with that...” said Applejack. “Okay Pinkie, time for your gift.”

“I already gave Yibble her gift?”

“You did? When?”

“BY BEING HER FRIEND!” In that short amount of time Pinkie gave Yibble a big hug which Yibble did the same and nuzzled Pinkie back, making the pink mare giggle from being tickled. “Oh I like you too Yibble!”

“I… um...”

“Its Pinkie, what do you expect?”

“...Right...”

After the hug – and a quick cleaning – Applejack brought her gift which was Granny Smith’s famous apple pie. Fluttershy was able to save this as Yibble was about to eat the whole thing. “Now now Yibble, too much sugar can be a big problem for your age. We can have some later, okay?”

“Pokey Nobie!” said Yibble, attempting to copy Pinkie’s line.

“Ahhh; she’s trying to imitate me!”

“I think we only need one Pinkie in Ponyville, thank you. Ehehehehhhhh...” said Twilight, coughing. “Now then; the gift Spike and I got Yibble is this!” Twilight levitated an interesting book; luckily, Spike was able to convince Twilight to get her a picture book. The book was something both Twilight and Spike agreed on was a good book for Yibble’s age; it was titled, “Creatures of Equestria for Foals”.

“Oh this is a wonderful gift Twilight; now what do you say Yibble?”

Yibble looked up at Twilight with her big eyes – which oddly seemed to be in a constant puppy dog eyes mode, for some reason – and spoke back with a bow of her form. “Whak Yu Twabiw N Spoik!”

This caused two things – and several reactions – a majority of everypony either fainted of over cuteness, which were mostly the Royal Guard who were mares and a few of the stallions. Secondly, was that Spike said the word “Awwww!” that the second he turned to Twilight, she was busy between a mixture of “Awwww!”ing herself and laughing – at Spike, not Yibble… you fool.

“TWILIGHT! Don’t tell Shining… Ever...” said Spike, warningly.

“Right right,” said Twilight, in mock fear.

“Shining who?” asked all of Twilight’s friends.

“Oh, Shining Armor; my brother,” said Twilight, nonchalantly.

Everypony who knew Twilight for a short time opened their mouths in a gasp, and equally asked their own questions about Twilight’s brother and her family. While they were distracted, Yibble was approached by Luna and Celestia. The baby slime – again who was oblivious to everything – titled her head in curiosity. Luna looked back with a mix of fear and anxiety until Celestia nudged her lightly, as she pointed her head toward the slime. Luna sighed, and knelt down to Yibble’s level as she did a half bow with her head.

“I… Princess Luna of Equestria, am sorry for reacting that way; I hope that you may forgive for my attitude and that we both become friends...”

Celestia watched too with a slight bit of worry toward her sister… however, the unexpected happened. Yibble inched closer to Luna, and reached with her tendrils; the guards were busy and did not notice to exchange, with only Luna and Celestia knowing, and being left alone to do what they needed to do.

At first Luna felt the strange tendrils until she felt it; it was quiet… like a whisper, but she understood the message… and Luna smiled. She was slowly beginning to tear up; Celestia was a bit worried, but leaned forward onto Luna’s forehead, and after a few seconds, Yibble stopped making contact with Luna.

Luna wiped her tears and stood back up; the two sisters watched as Yibble crawled back toFluttershy, not noticing Yibble was gone. “What did she tell you Luna?”

“Its… Its not what she told me… but what she knew… Yibble… Yibble knows nothing about her kind or about anything from before her birth… Every V-Slime is genetically told of their purpose or role in the hive… but Yibble… is the first slime to be free from such a fate...”

Celestia was still confused, but Luna’s next words shocked the Sun Princess.

“She used her telepathic minds and saw everything; the countless battles I waged against her kind many more battles to come, the many friends that passed… and yet…” Luna’s tears returned and did not stop at the slightest. “All she responded with was simple, ‘I am sorry’, and wished only one thing from me.”

“What would that be?” said Celestia, a small smile creeping up.

“She said… ‘I like to be your friend.’” Luna fell to tears as Celestia comforted her sister; Luna had suspicions about the baby slime… and yet she worried the slime would blame or hate her for the crimes she would possibly know or hear about Luna… and yet… The simple blind kindness from Yibble – an act that Yibble did unintentionally, having not understood Luna’s past – was enough for Luna to forgive the actions she’s done in the past… so far.

The party continued on, and soon ended slowly; decorations were cleaned up, leftovers were either taken by those who attended the party or Pinkie herself – by either eating it or something – and everyone said their good nights and farewells.

Before the Princesses left, they spoke to Twilight alone as the rest of her friends began to leave. “Twilight… while what you heard of Yibble’s past, I wish that you keep this to yourself; your friends are the only ponies of the modern age that know of this dark time of Equestria’s past… but also wish for you not to see Yibble in the same light.”

“What you mean Princess?”

Celestia sighed, and stared at the night sky; the stars twinkling and the moon curved, shining its glow. A small grin came to Celestia, having remembered an aged lesson by her own teacher before.

“I was taught not to judge another by one’s looks… and by their actions… This goes the same for Yibble; while she is a baby, her kind have down horrors that not even Tartarus was enough to have sealed them away. She does not deserve to be judged for something she did not know of… she is just a baby… and like a child she must learn about the world… So I ask of you, and the ponies of this town to teach Yibble to follow a different path… a path that maybe… others won’t see her for what she is or could be… But what she can be… I hope you understand my message… Now; have a good night my student.”

“You too Princess, and I hope your recover goes well Princess Luna. I promise that I’ll teach Yibble about life in Equestria; maybe I can bring her to Canterlot sometime!” shouted Twilight, waving goodbye.

Twilight watched the two royalties and the guard leave by train, as she watched them leave, she turned to see her friends leaving, except for Yibble and Fluttershy. The pair were sitting a patch of grass, watching the stars; Twilight and Spike joined them – Twilight sat beside Fluttershy, while Spike sat near Yibble.

The baby slime was busy playing with her rubber duck – which she named, Miestah Qwaky – when Twilight and Spike sat with them, she too stared at the stars, more deeply than the others.

“What did the Princess say Twilight?” asked Fluttershy, still staring at the stars.

“She said that… we shouldn’t judge others by their looks… or about who they are… She wants us to teach Yibble that there are better things in this world… While I know you wish to take care of her yourself, but I think that we can each show her something about this world… and… maybe learn something from her too. So… do you think Equestria will accept Yibble?”

Twilight glanced toward Fluttershy; the pegasus had a far-off look, and Twilight could not describe it… but before she could respond Fluttershy spoke, and it was enough for Twilight’s curiosity. “No matter what others see Yibble to be… I’ll be there for her… always.”

The four sat alone, quietly stargazing; the soft hum of the wind and insects washed over them. They were deep into gazing the sky… A small melody played, unnoticed by any of them, but fitted the moment… The future was filled with unknowns… but they’d do it together; as friends.

Week 1: Birdy Go Bye-Bye

View Online

Ponyville; a week after Yibble’s welcome party.

During Yibble’s first week in Ponyville, she was introduced to Fluttershy’s friends and their respective families. She met the Apple family during the family’s apple bucking season when Applejack attempted to it alone when her brother Big Mac gotten injured. Yibble played and was introduced to Applebloom; the two enjoyed playing games and helped her Granny Smith cook. The following week, Yibble mostly stayed home, when one particular day an old friend of Rainbow Dash’s comes to Ponyville.

This friend of hers was a griffin by the name of Gilda; the beginning of the day started off well – other than the fact that Pinkie was annoying her – that all ended when Fluttershy encountered her.

Ponyville, Town Square

Fluttershy was trotting through town with Yibble on her back; Yibble has grown the following week but is still small enough for her size. The baby slime who spoke with difficulty was able to change the volume of her voice as she was constantly having her voice raised high.

“Rainbow Dash told me a friend of hers from Flight Camp was coming. I wonder who it could be? If I remember, this friend of her comes far west and had to return home since she was only an exchange student that came to the camp for a week,” said Fluttershy.

Yibble was busy eying the surrounding area until she spotted something. Ahead of them was a flock of ducklings with two ducks near them. The family got lost and were trying to reach the river, now stuck in the middle of the square.

“Dakyes,” said Yibble, pointing with a tendril.

Fluttershy turned to look and spotted the flock as well. “Oh those poor dears.” Fluttershy gently placed Yibble to the ground and began to approach the flock. “Yibble, you stay near Sugarcube Corner alright, I’ll lead these ducks somewhere safe. Tell Pinkie I said hi, okay?”

Yibble nodded and made her way to Sugarcube Corner where she spotted Pinkie busily drinking a milkshake. As Yibble adjusted within Ponyville, she was able to remember the surrounding area and every nook and cranny there is. Since she knows her way through town without getting lost, Fluttershy would let Yibble wander when they come to town, as long she isn’t far from her.

Yibble decided not to bother Pinkie as she seemed busy – well that and she looked upset for some reason. Yibble wanted to give her a hug, but spotted Fluttershy bringing the flock of ducklings down the path to the forest near her cottage. At that same time, Rainbow Dash and Gilda came flying down until Rainbow remembered her weather duties. Flying off, the two say their farewells before Gilda begins to cause trouble without being noticed… until by two notable figures.

Pinkie’s Perspective

Pinkie busily sipped her frozen coco drink with whipped cream when she spotted Gilda, and witnessed her do multiple mean things. At first she thought it was just a mistake or something wrong with her eyes – recently she’s been having problems seeing from afar… she might need to check the local hospital. However, that all changed when Fluttershy entered the scene; her own opinion of Gilda changed immediately.

She’s not a nice griffin! She’s a big meanie!

Pinkie wanted to go right up to her and knock the light’s out of her – which was possible for her family’s unnatural strength, and the fact she’s currently high on sugar… as usual – but before she could approach… a small yellowish blob approached the bully.

Wait… is that… “Yibble?”

Gilda’s Perspective

What a loser; if that was suppose to be Rainbow’s other best friend, then I think Rainbow needs to look for different friends. First that all sugary pink mare and now this shy loser… What a dump this place is.

Gilda was about to walk away when she felt something on her back left lion leg – a sticky and slimy something. With instinct, she spun around and was ready to claw the living heck out of whatever tried to touch her; it didn’t matter if she wasn’t suppose to cause trouble, nobody touches her and gets away with it.

“HEY! WHO TOUCHED… me,” said Gilda. Standing – or in this case laying – before her was a small blob of sorts. It had eyes so black that not even the night could compare to them, it was made of a yellowish substance that reminded her of jello. The thing that was touching her before was this small tendril of sorts that now retracted to the main form.

Now Gilda at first was ready to attack on sight but this made her pause and curious of the strange thing before her. She lowered her claw and stood slightly slouched to look like she was bored. She kept a careful eye on the… “thing”.

“What you want… uhhhh?”

“Yibble!”

“Yibble? That your name?” asked Gilda, scratching her beak. “Well its better than the names these ponies have; what you want anyway, Yibble?”

Yibble stood there staring… examining Gilda. The feeling of being stared by those rock sized eyes gave her the creeps. She’s been given a lot of different stares before – whether it was because of her attitude or her being a griffin – but the look this… Yibble was giving her… She’s only felt it once and it was ever only when she encountered the threats found near the Kingdom of Griffonia.

While Yibble didn’t show any emotions of the slightest… her eyes… those deep emotionless eyes was enough to show that Yibble was showing a certain emotion. Sadly, because of her young age she wasn’t sure what this emotion was… but for some reason she felt this was the right emotion for the griffin known as Gilda she was staring at.

“Look, I got no time for this! I got some party to go to and I’m not in the mood to talk to some kid. So go back to your mommy or something,” said Gilda, ready to walk away.

As Gilda was getting farther and farther, she heard what Yibble said next. “You scared my mommy,” said Yibble, her speech clear.

Gilda stopped in her path; she wanted to turn around and teach this thing a lesson… but she felt that feeling again. This thing is that Fluttershy’s kid? More like a pet if you ask me.

“Look here, if you gotta a problem with me then you better spe-”

Gilda stood still as ice; her fight or flight instincts were on and brimming with adrenaline. She couldn’t look away even if she wanted to, but something about those eyes… they weren’t natural.

Yibble’s lifeless orbs began to grow in size – or was it her imagination – and everything seemed to become this one clear noise. Next she heard something… a deep but calming voice… well at first she thought it was calming. What the voice said next however, made it from calming to outright enraged… but who was speaking?

You hurt my mother, foul creature… I should make you flying away crying too… Would you like that, because I’m sure my mother didn’t wish the same as well.

Everything was becoming quiet, her vision was getting smaller and smaller… until the only thing she saw… was the yellow blob; Yibble. “I’m really bad at expressing myself properly, and my vocabulary isn’t as advance as of yet… I however am a very intelligent being… but I rather live a normal life… If you try anything to sabotage it because of your ignorance… Then I wonder what fried griffin would taste like?

Two things happened that day; Gilda gulped… and she experienced what fear was like, once more.

Rainbow’s Perspective

After done with her duties, Rainbow saw Fluttershy crying on one of the clouds that she was supposed to clear. Instead of doing so she found another cloud sat on it and brought to her friend’s. After they talked about what happened, Fluttershy came to the realization that she left behind and forgot Yibble. The two instantly went back to Sugarcube Corner where they found Yibble with Pinkie. The two apparently were having a grand time.

Pinkie was drinking another cup of her drink while Yibble enjoyed a blueberry smoothie, with fresh blueberries in it. When the two pegasi approached, Yibble crawled off the table and began to nuzzle Fluttershy’s foreleg.

“I’m sorry too; I shouldn’t have left you like that,” said Fluttershy, nuzzling back. “I promise not to do that again.”

“Don’t worry Fluttershy; Yibble handled herself really well!”

“Pinkie? What happened… where’s Gilda?”

Pinkie kept silent, took a sip of her drink and spoke. “Oh… Yibble ate her.”

“SHE WHAT!?”

Pinkie was quiet for a few more seconds but before the two pegasi could freak out, Pinkie began laughing. Rainbow groaned, while Fluttershy simply nuzzled Yibble some more. “I knew you wouldn’t do that Yibble.”

“By Celestia Pinkie; don’t scare me like that! Seriously, what happened?”

“Weeeellll… To put it in short; Yibble scared Gilda so badly she flew off like a… well… a chicken.”

Rainbow was shocked, she couldn’t believe one of her closest friends would do this to Fluttershy and some of the ponies of the town. “I guess… that she wasn’t ready for the new changes in my life. Maybe next time I can properly introduce her to you guys,” said Rainbow. “Oh and Yibble; next time, try not to scare Gilda. I know you love pranking everyone as well as Pinkie and I but you need to keep things on the low.”

“Awkay!” shouted Yibble, returning to her original mannerisms.

The three mares – and slime – sat down and enjoyed some drinks; later their other friends came by and were also told of the story. Twilight wanted to do some tests on Yibble's new ability to be able to scare a griffin like Gilda. Applejack was glad she was gone – though she agreed that she too would feel threatened to change – while Rarity… well Rarity’s opinion was varying.

Elsewhere, Outside of Ponyville; Gilda panted as she reached the outskirts of Ponyville atop a hill.

Gilda was sweating; her legs were hurting, her fur and feathers were a wreck on most places, her face was wet – from sweat and tears – but most of all… she couldn’t stop shaking. She turned back at Ponyville, sat down and leaned against a nearby tree.

That… that “thing” is not natural. How could they live with it… unless… they don’t know.

Gilda continued to look until she slid down to the ground and hugged herself. She kept on rocking back and forth until she spoke quietly to herself. “I’ll get you outta there Dash… I’m not leaving my best bud… with that… creature.”

Week 2: True Talent

View Online

Ponyville, Golden Oaks Library; after Gilda’s sudden departure, the town went back to its usual day-to-day things, until an interesting figure came to town the coming week after.

Twilight and Fluttershy spoke and drank tea, talking about Yibble’s progress so far; Spike entertained Yibble by cooking something for her. Yibble’s speech pattern has grown to the point where she can speak in a leveled voice, but her words are somewhat jumbled still.

“Wha yu cokine Spiek?” asked Yibble.

“Oh some carrot soup; you want some?” asked Spike.

“Uh huh.” Yibble acted like a regular filly, the only difference was that because of her near indestructible form, she was somewhat… distracted by her surroundings.

While Twilight continued to speak with Fluttershy, a knock on the door was heard. The knocking continued to get louder until Spike went to go answer it – he turned off the stove and placed the pot off the heated part of the stove. The second he reached the door to open it, he got a face full of wood to the face; two small figures stepped in, one lanky and tall, the other short and fat.

“You got to get to town hall!” shouted Snips.

“Yeeeah, there’s this great and powerful magician called Trixie,” said Snails, following behind Snips.

When Yibble entered the room, she spotted Spike and brushed off the two colts aside like leaves in the wood – she simply picked them up to the side, gently – where she began to soothe Spike.

“Spiek oky?” asked Yibble, placing a tendril on his head.

“Y-yeah; don’t worry Yibble, I’m a dragon. If I can’t take a door to the face, what kind of assistant would I be?”

“A flet whon?”

Twilight snickered slightly and Fluttershy giggled when they heard Yibble’s comment. Ever since Yibble has been hanging with Pinkie when Fluttershy was busy caring for the animals and wasn’t able to watch over Yibble, Pinkie would volunteer as she’s Ponyville’s number one party planner. Nowadays, a little of Pinkie rubbed off Yibble – whether that’s good or not is up to debate.

“Hey… good one.”

Twilight turned her focused to the two young colts as they felt sheepish for slamming the door on Spike. “While I know it was an accident, but you need to be careful when opening doors,” said Twilight, scolding the boys.

“Yes Miss Sparkle,” said both Snails and Snips.

“Good… Now, what’s this about a ‘magician’?”

“OH! I CAN TELL!” shouted Snips. “There’s this traveling magician in Ponyville and she has her show in town square. She says she’s the best magic user, ever!”

At that moment, Spike jumped up from his daze, trudged forward to Snips, and spoke. “What you mean ‘she’s the best magic user, ever’ Snips?”

“Well she’s so good she said she defeated an Ursa Major before!”

“AN URSA MAJOR! Those creatures are really unpredictable Twilight; to fight one and not be harmed is incredible, especially if you were a unicorn,” said Fluttershy. “Their known to have hide strong enough to be resistant to magic.”

“I know, but this Trixie can’t be that good… Can she?”

“Of course not; you’re the Princess’s student for Celestia’s sake! Not some wannabe entertainer.”

“Well you got to see her show if you don’t believe it with your own eyes! The show’s about to start!” shouted Snips, leaving.

“Wait for me Sniiips!”

The two young colts left, as they did, Yibble found the idea of watching someone who managed to defeat an Ursa Major – whatever that may be – interesting and fun. She crawled to Fluttershy using one tendril to climb on top as she began to telepathically ask if they could go.

While Yibble was busy talking to Fluttershy, Spike tried to convince Twilight if they could go see this magician. Twilight at first didn’t want to go for her own reasons but gave in; Twilight with Spike, Fluttershy, and Yibble made their way to where this magician called Trixie had set up her stage.

Ponyville, Town Square; a crowd neared the stage as a voice announced what was happening.

“Come one, come all! Welcome to a show of wonder and grand proportions! Behold, of the great and powerful...” A giant puff of smoke exploded and coming out of it is a mare wearing a magician’s outfit; she stands on both her back hooves as she waves her front hooves – posing before the crowd. “TRIXIIIIE!”

The crowd made some “ohhh and awwss” as Twilight reached the crowd and found the rest of her friends there too.

“Oh Twi, you’re finally here. Can you believe this honkey dooley; to think she defeated a Ursa Major,” said Applejack.

“That’s all horse-”

“RAINBOW DEAR! Language! Some foals are here; be more careful,” said Rarity, scolding her friend.

“Sorry, but the bull- I mean stuff she talks about is just… I mean I know I’m awesome and all, but even I know when I shouldn’t boast so much!”

“Uh huh Rainbow?” said Applejack, a bit skeptic about the last part.

“Well she isn’t doing anything wrong is she?” asked Twilight.

At that very moment, Fluttershy came closer to the stage, and lost attention with Yibble. The curious baby slime crawled off Fluttershy, and slowly but stealthily went up the stage, and inched closer to Trixie. “Now behold as I shall cause this fruit to...” Trixie stopped her act and stared down, where she spotted Yibble. Now many of the townsponies were a bit skeptic about Yibble but gotten used to the slime baby… Trixie however wasn’t use to… whatever Yibble is. “AHHHHHHHHHH! MONSTAAAAAHHHH!”

The crowd became spooked but not so much to cause a panic as they all stepped back from the stage from sudden magical shots shooting out from Trixie. Reflexively, when a unicorn was spooked three things would happen – they cast a magical barrier which was most, teleport a safe distance which would usually be the most trained and experience of unicorns, with lastly being firing off a magical attack… which rarely happened with few unicorns – and one of these things were happening with Trixie.

“GO AWAY! SHOO SHOO!” Trixie shot magical shot after shot, and levitated random objects at Yibble. The baby slime simply stood where she was with most attacks avoiding her, but it was when Trixie levitated a massive crate – that was bigger and possible heavier than her – and slammed it on Yibble.

Fluttershy saw this as she was also spooked by the sudden magical beams, but after seeing Yibble crushed, and harmed… well to put it in mild and less violent terms… “FLUTTERSHY SMASH!” screamed Fluttershy, with the fury of an alicorn.

Trixie turned to the scream with stupidity of the most saddest degrees, before she felt two things – the taste of the wood of her stage, and the smell of slightly singed fur from being dragged across the floor, in the most comedic way possible.

Fluttershy once done with Trixie flew to where Yibble was, and lifted the crate with ease and tossed it. The crate flew toward Bulk Biceps who was unfazed as the crate was smashed to his cranium and turned while scratching his head about what just hit him. “Huh? What was that?”

“YIBBLE! YIBBLE ARE YOU ALRIGHT!” shouted Fluttershy, brushing aside random junk to find Yibble. Fluttershy couldn’t find Yibble and was worried something horrible happened to the baby slime. It when she heard a familiar gurgle some distance from her. “Yibble! Where are you!?”

Fluttershy looked and spotted her at the last place she expected her to be. She was laid beside Trixie, and was currently wrapping a tendril around her muzzle, and softly nuzzling the side of her face that was rubbed against the floor of her stage. Trixie was too dazed to realize what was happening but instead of freaking out from being touched… she was relaxed and slowly… fell asleep.

A quiet but steady snoozing came from the light blue unicorn, as she was left slump on the ground. Yibble once done with her cuddling looked up at Fluttershy, and gave the most cutest attempt of a frown. Everypony who saw this were between either “Awwing” or started to look around about how Yibble got there without being noticed. Fluttershy in the other hoof understand why Yibble was upset and felt guilty.

“I’m sorry Yibble… I thought Trixie hurt you, and… I may had overreacted with my response.”

“OVERREACTED! Flutters, you straight up sent her to next week with that move! Where did you learn that?” asked Rainbow, utter shock on her face.

All of her friends had the same question, and Fluttershy meekly glanced back at them and back at Yibble before prodding her hooves together, as if she was caught taking another cookie from the cookie jar.

“...I sometimes… give Harry some messages, and because his bigger than my other animals, I need to be extra sure his muscles are relaxed… So I would pull and bend his muscles, so the cramps he gets from time to time are gone… He really likes it...” said Fluttershy, innocently.

Everypony gave a gawked look, as she smiled back; Yibble simply crawled up to Fluttershy and nuzzled her leg, and gave a cute gurgle. “Fluttershy bestass mommie!”

Later that day; Ponyville, Ponyville Hospital; Trixie was hospitalized since her injuries consisted of broken bones, and some fur missing, and would be staying for the coming months.

Fluttershy felt bad for what she did so she visited Trixie whenever she could where she would bring Yibble; on these visits, Yibble would nuzzle Trixie, which caused something odd. After every visit, Trixie would tell her caretakers she would feel a strange easiness over her… a painless calm of sorts.

Twilight investigated this strange phenomenon and discovered Yibble’s hidden ability – Yibble’s slime while not only was capable of calming any creature, also gave off a sort of anesthetic depending on the injury of what her slime makes contact with. Any leftover slime from Fluttershy was sent to the hospital and scientists, and to this day has been used for several things them being for the care of patients, and research.

Now, Yibble visits Trixie everyday and gives the performer some company; the two have become quick friends, and are inseparable. If Yibble hadn’t come to Ponyville… it gave off the question what would the relationship of this town and its denizens be with Trixie. It also brought up an important thought from Twilight, as it may give some answers about Yibble’s background.

What is she capable of doing?

Here Comes A Hero

View Online

The day was like any other day, Fluttershy was feeding her animals, Applejack selling apples, Rarity making some new clothes, Pinkie planning a party – as always – Rainbow was doing something to challenge herself, and Twilight was in the library. The town was quiet and in peace, and in Ponyville Hospital, Yibble visited her newest friend, Trixie; Trixie has been slowly healing over time, but she’s strong enough to go on strolls with the baby slime. On one of these strolls, the two go by town to see the sights and sounds of the morning… but today was going to be different, as the smell of ash and smoke was coming to the town.

Ponyville, Ponyville Square; Yibble and Trixie sat by the statue in a conversation.

“So I was at Manehattan and there was this amazing restaurant, their salad was truly delicious. Maybe when we go there I can show you,” said Trixie.

“Yemmy food?” asked Yibble.

“Ah huh; though I’m not sure what you eat… what kind of food do you eat?”

Before Yibble could answer, some commotion was going on near Twilight’s library after seeing Fluttershy and the Mane 6 enter inside. Yibble found this strange activity interesting, and went to follow but first saying goodbye to Trixie. “Bye-bye Twixeh,” said Yibble, with a little wave of one of her tendrils.

Trixie waved her friend goodbye, as she made her way back to the hospital. “See you later Yibble, we’ll continue our conversation later.”

Yibble made her way to Twilight’s place, and after knocking on the door with her tendril, it took a few seconds before the door war answered by Spike. The small drake opened the door, and welcomed Yibble inside.

“Oh hey Yibble, Fluttershy is here if you’re looking for her,” said Spike, widening the door for her to enter.

Yibble crawled inside and spotted Fluttershy amongst her friends; they were talking about something that involved a mountain and smoke. Not sure what sort of relation those two words have, wasn’t thought up much by Yibble. Deciding to ask than listen, Yibble approached Fluttershy and tapped one of her legs to get her attention.

“Hmmm; oh Yibble, I didn’t see you down there. Is there something you need?” asked Fluttershy, absentmindedly.

“Wha ah you talkin abot?” asked Yibble.

“Well… something is happening up the mountain, and we need to go and fix it… but...”

Now Yibble has been wit Fluttershy for a few weeks so she knew Fluttershy and her interests. Having her be this anxious is a bit odd for the baby slime, as she’s not used to her looking this worried… well not without a good reason. Rainbow was the one to finish what Fluttershy was unable to say, approaching the two mid-air.

“Hey Yibble; we’re going to the mountain to stop a dragon, smoking up the skies. You wanna come with us?”

At that moment, Fluttershy went a full one-eighty from scared of going, to scared of Yibble coming. She grabbed Yibble in a hug – which only ended up getting her front legs covered in slime – and glared at Rainbow for thinking of the idea.

“WE CAN’T BRING YIBBLE! The dragon could hurt her!” shouted Fluttershy, louder than her meek voice.

Fluttershy’s voice was so loud, everypony rubbed their ears from the earful Fluttershy gave to Rainbow. Rainbow shied down and rubbed the back of her head with embarrassment.

“Eh heh heh hehhhh...”

Twilight approached Fluttershy with a calming tone, as she put her hoof on her shoulder to calm her nerves. “Don’t worry Fluttershy, Yibble can stay here with Spike until we come back. It won’t take long for us to deal with this problem.”

Fluttershy looked down at Yibble, who looked up at her with a toothless smile. She sighed and rubbed the top of her head as she purred quietly.

“Okay… Now Yibble, you’ll stay here with Spike until we come back from some… ‘business’. Don’t cause too much trouble for him, alright.”

“Okey-Pokah!”

Everypony left Twilight’s place to get ready, leaving only Twilight and Spike inside the library. “I’ll see you in the afternoon Yibble.”

Fluttershy waved goodbye to Yibble as she went back to her cottage. After that, Yibble gazed at the various books, and Spike putting those books away. Coming down the steps was Twilight with some saddlebags, but before she left she went to the kitchen to get an earlier snack.

“Remember Spike, organize the books by alphabet order, and check if we received any new order of books,” said Twilight, speaking from the kitchen.

“I remember Twilight; don’t worry, I’ll handle everything here while you’re busy!”

While Spike wasn’t looking, Yibble glanced at the saddlebags, one of the flaps opened to reveal some items inside said bag, but enough space for her… then an idea came to her. Through the genius of the mind of Yibble, she sneakily made her way inside the saddlebag and closed the flap. When Twilight came back from the kitchen, she didn’t notice Yibble wasn’t in the room, as she levitated up her saddlebags and placed them on.

“Okay Spike, I’m heading off; remember to watch over Yibble.”

Twilight left the library, and as Spike turned around to say goodbye, he looked around the room to notice something. “Bye Twilight; now then, Yibble do you want any… thing? ...Uhhh, Yibble… Yibble? Where did she go?”

At the foot of the mountain, the group began to climb the mountain, as Yibble hid in Twilight’s bag unnoticed.

The Mane 6 were mid-way up the mountain, seeing the smoke coming from the summit of the mountain, meaning they were closer to the dragon. Each of the mares had mixed reactions to this endeavor – Pinkie was excited to see an adult dragon, Rainbow was ready for some action, Applejack wanted to stop this dragon from blocking the sun so her crops would grow properly, Rarity was doing what she believed to be right, Twilight followed Celestia’s orders and curious of meeting an adult dragon, and Fluttershy was afraid.

Fluttershy kept having the shakes, the closer they neared the dragon’s nest, and she wasn’t the only one worried. Rarity approached Fluttershy, and placed a hoof on hr shoulder, feeling her nerves going overboard. “Darling, you need to calm down. We’ll talk to this dragon sir, and explain why he needs to move, and after that we’ll go back and you can play with Yibble in your cottage.”

Fluttershy sighed, taking in a deep breath and continuing the climb; after going up, they reached the summit. A cave that a stream of smoke coming out was the source of their problems – the dragon’s nest – and with that, each of the girls removed their saddlebags off and were preparing for their plan of action.

“Okay, is everypony ready?” asked Twilight.

Everypony showed they were ready and each done a different action. Before Twilight could continue her plan, something started wriggling in her saddlebag; everypony neared her bag and popping out was Yibble.

“Hoi!” said Yibble, waving one tendril.

“YIBBLE?!” shouted everypony.

Fluttershy moved up to Yibble and picked her up, before she slid off her hooves. “Yibble what are you doing here?! I thought you were staying with Spike?!”

Yibble gave a side glance away from Fluttershy and the others, and looked back with a pleading look. “Yibble woted to elp; Yibble cen hep weh wha yu doine too.”

Fluttershy was upset Yibble didn’t listen to Twilight, but sighed, rubbing the top of her head. “Ohhhh Yibble, you weren’t coming because you couldn’t help, but because we… I was worried you get hurt.” Fluttershy nuzzled Yibble, which caused her to giggle back.

Rainbow trotted up to the two to speak. “Oh come on Shy, Yibble is practically indestructible; what can a dragon do to her?”

“Rainbow, let’s not forget that Yibble is just a baby, and weren’t sure if she’s resistant to fire,” said Twilight.

“Well… she can still do something… right?”

Everypony thought of this, but the decision was made to let Yibble watch from the side, while Fluttershy stayed by her side. The girls then grouped together and went inside, Fluttershy who stayed with Yibble, spoke with her.

“Yibble… Why did you want to help us so badly? I know you really want to help, but you’re a baby… There things out there that you need to be careful of,” said Fluttershy.

Yibble at first did not speak, but instead she placed one of her tendrils to Fluttershy’s had, and started to speak to her telepathically. While Yibble can speak, she still has issues speaking, and often uses her telepathic ability to speak for longer durations.

I wanted to be helpful to you and the others… All I’ve done for the past weeks was assist with feeding the animals, and the occasional visit to Trixie. Its been difficult for my size, and more difficult that I know nothing about my kind… I sometimes wonder why I was alone when I hatched, did my birth parents cared for me… I just… want to do something meaningful.

Fluttershy frowned after the connection ended, and nuzzled Yibble deeply. “Yibble… what your doing is the most meaningful thing ever; if you never came to our lives, I don’t know what sort of outcome would of happened to everypony… You will, and for always be something to us… to me.”

Yibble was happy for the small talk, when a roar so powerful a strong blast of wind came from the cave. Twilight and the other girls came running out; following them was a dragon… but he was different from what many of the girls thought. The dragon was a sleek black with crimson lines going across his belly, the dragon looked more ruthless the dragons that are occasionally seen in Equestria as they are often tamer than dragons from the dragon lands. The greatest defined thing about the dragon was the fact that he had somepony in his claws – it was Rainbow Dash, screaming.

Fluttershy gasped in what has happened and flew up to save her friend, her personality changing completely.

“Let go of my friend!” shouted Fluttershy. As she flew up to the dragon, she glared into the dragons eyes, and as the dragon let go of Rainbow – who tumbled down to the ground – Flutershy continued to stare at the dragon, before turning to her friend.

Everypony approached Rainbow, who had some scrapes and scratches on her but was okay. Applejack and Twilight helped her up to her hooves, as she dusted herself. “Are you alright Rainbow?” asked Applejack.

Rainbow coughed, a bit dirty from being dropped to the ground, she grinned back to her friends. “Yeah I’m fine...” said Rainbow.

Fluttershy sighed happy she was okay, but as she turned her attention back to the dragon, a massive claw came upon her. Fluttershy was suddenly in the dragon’s clutches, as he snarled back at the ponies, fiery drool slithering come out of his jaws.

The dragon showed no signs of sentience and was ruthless to a point that from simply staring at the beast’s eyes was enough proof. The dragon did not crush Fluttershy, but kept a tight hold on her as she struggled to get out.

“P-Plea-se; wh-y-y are yo-o-u doi-in-g this?” asked Fluttershy, breathing through compacted lungs.

The dragon did not spoke, nor did it showed any signs of responding; with a sudden beat of it’s wings, it roared to the very heavens, shattering the hearing of everypony nearby. Everypony had to hold onto the ground tightly, as the dragon flew upward, leaving the top of the mountain with Fluttershy.

Everypony watched with a shocked stare toward the dragon that took their friend in mere moments. Without hesitating a single bit, Rainbow began to flap her wings but was forced to land again from having one of her wings bent the wrong way; hissing out in pain, she screamed for her help.

“FLUUUTERSHHHAAAAHHHH!”

The dragon disappeared to the dense clouds above, before the faint sound of it’s roar was heard. The remaining Mane 6 shook away their stupor and prepared to save their friend, when Twilight stopped them all. “Hold on everypony, we need to think of what we should do next before we go ahead blindly.”

“Twilight! That lizard just snatched poor Fluttershy! We can’t just stand here and do nothing!”

“I must agree with Applejack; we must do something before that foul beast does something to her.”

“I know I know, but Rainbow has a broken wing, and we have no idea where that dragon is going. I’ll teleport us back to the library, and get help from the princess, until we get a response from her, we should prepare once she comes with more help.”

Before everypony got ready to leave, Pinkie spoke up, mentioning one slight detail everypony has not noticed. “Uhhh, girls? Where’s Yibble?” At the mention of the baby slime, a thin trail of slime that led from where she was to where the dragon was before vanishing afterwords.

Putting two and two together, the sheer silence to fall upon them was enough to shatter a palace made of glass. For some odd reason – yet fit the situation – a tumbleweed blew by as it rolled past them. It was Rarity to speak first and spoke what everypony else wanted to say about this whole situation in their heads.

“Oh dear… Fluttershy won’t be happy about this.”

Back at Canterlot, the Throne Room; Celestia busied herself by listening to the words – or bickering in this case – of the nobles.

A stallion noble came before Celestia to request some funds from the treasury for his crops being destroyed through mysterious occurrences… that is what she was told of course. She sighed in bored tone – though not for anypony else to notice – thinking back to the welcoming party for the baby slime.

It has been a few weeks and so far nothing of interest has appeared, other than those sightings of that dragon near Ponyville on the top of that mountain. I wish something of interest were to happen, though from past experiences, I should be careful what I wish for.

At that very moment the throne room doors opened wide by the guards posted by it; came running in was a messenger who frantically sprinted on the carpet to Celestia. Running so quickly, he did not notice the bump on the carpet and tripped on it. Sliding on his muzzle, the messenger came to a halt before Celestia until he stood back up with a quick bow – which caused him to bump his head on the floor.

“My highness! A message has been received by the lord of the Dragon Lands; it is urgent you read its contents as it involves the sightings of the dragon that was spotted recently!”

Celestia became intrigued and rose up from her seat. “What is this message from the lord of dragons? And how does it involve the sightings of the dragon?”

The messenger nodded after being given permission to give the message; heading for his saddlebags, he pulled a scroll with his mouth, before making sure to balance it on his front hooves. Sitting on his hindquarters, the messenger cleared his throat and spoke as loudly as he could.

‘From the Lord of Dragons; Dragon Lord Torch,

I give you warning Princess of the Sun; Celestia, for a rogue dragon has left my lands and ended up somewhere in your kingdom. With that said, this dragon has become feral, but the cause is unknown, as a strange influence has come upon my dragons, and has effected a portion of them. I have tried to keep the influenced dragons in a small area of my lands, but all efforts have been useless. I only ask for your assistance as I do not wish for any mistrust between our races, as some sort of attack. I hope you understand, and you help retrieving the capture of the rogue dragon.

May my wishes help in your endeavor.’

That has been written in the scroll; should we send a group to capture this dragon and… Is something the matter your highness?”

Celestia became silent, her eyes becoming shrunken as a great realization came to her; appearing beside her in a poof of green flames was another scroll. Most likely from her apprentice, she levitated the scroll to read it… and like that she dropped the scroll, and teleported to the doors leaving the throne room.

Before anypony could respond, Celestia spoke in an even but loud voice to everypony nearby. “Cancel all my appointments for the afternoon, a great urgent emergency has occurred that I must go to! Guard, call upon Captain Shining Armor and at least twenty royal guards with me to Ponyville; tell him that one of the elements has been taken by the rogue dragons – immediately!”

At that moment, the two guards posted by the doors saluted and ran off to the captain. “Yes your highness!” They ran off a different direction from Celestia; Celestia ran off and approached a nearby balcony, before opening the doors and spread her wings. With two powerful flaps of her wings, she was in the air and heading straight toward Ponyville.

This situation has gotten worse than I thought, I knew something was off when the sightings of this dragon was spotted. I must reach to Twilight, who knows what has happened to her friend… but not only that, but how Yibble must feel. I have not encountered a slime with emotions for over centuries, and the last time nearly destroyed Manehatten, back in its beginning years as a city. The backlash from this sudden incident could cause unseen consequences; I must get to Ponyville, with haste!

Princess Celestia flew off in the distance, her form slowly shrinking from the distance; from the top of a tower that had a dark blue coloration. The Princess of the Moon; Luna, who was assumed to be resting was seeing her sister from her telescope. With a raised brow, she curiously wondered what all the commotion was all about. With an interested look she rubbed her chin in thought before leaving her room to find out for herself.

Ponyville, Golden Oak Library; the other members of the Mane 6 await Princess Celestia, and a small escort to arrive.

Rainbow begins pacing back and forth, after her wing was bandaged; the others who either sat down or busied themselves by thinking, awaited for Princess Celestia. Of course Twilight told Spike to get her books on dragon behaviour.

Spike came down the steps with a pile of books on his claws, wobbling from side-to-side from carrying so many books. “Why do you need these books, Twilight?” asked Spike.

“That dragon we encountered wasn’t like the dragons that usually end up in Equestria. Since there are so many jewels under the ground, especially in the outskirts of towns, dragons tend to avoid any populated areas to eat these jems. That dragon though… it was as if it had no interest on the jems but the ponies – specifically Fluttershy.”

This was when Rainbow stopped pacing, and turned to face Twilight. “Which is why we should be out there and find her! Not standing here doing nothing; we can handle this dragon, with or without the Princess’s help!”

“And do what Rainbow? It’s just us six, against a fire-breathing lizard,” said Applejack.

“True, but we must do something quick, who knows what that dragon has planned for poor Fluttershy.”

Rarity sighed, worried for her friend; Pinkie – who stood by the door – heard knocking and was the first to answer. Outside the door was Celestia, who lowered her head to enter and greeted those present.

“Hello my little ponies; now what did this dragon look like, and which direction did he went?”

After several minutes of explaining toward Celestia, everyone awaited for her response as she mulled through the information she was given. The dragon that was reported and sighted, was a black sheen with a red underbelly, and was spotted flying north and passing by Canterlot soon. A yellow figure was seen clutched in one of the dragon’s claws, but no mention of Yibble or anything similar to her was seen on the dragon.

“We’ll head back to Canterlot if we can intercept the dragon; before we go, I must send a scroll back to the castle, I believe there’s no reason for me to call the captain and his guard to come here after all.”

The captain… Wait, she doesn’t mean-

“ALRIGHT! Come on everypony, let’s save Fluttershy!” With that, everypony headed to the train station – which came by at the right time – and made their way to Canterlot in a hurry.

Somewhere in the sky, high above the plains of Equestria…

Fluttershy was still unconscious, even though the powerful winds that were blowing pass her mane; the dragon that took her flew with powerful strong wingbeats. The dragon stared ahead without a thought nor observation to any of its surroundings. Unbeknownst to the scaly beast, he had a small stowaway – Yibble held on tightly to the dragons back, slowly inching closer and closer to one of it’s eyes… until…

Yibble was before the dragon’s eye; the dragon at first did not notice Yibble, but when it did, it glared back with a violent stare. It continued to fly, but attempted to swipe at Yibble with the other claw that wasn’t holding Fluttershy… all it did though was give the dragon a headache from hitting his head. The dragon tried his best to stay airborne, and after shaking away the dizziness, he stared back at Yibble with burning hatred.

“Wah uo tek mumma?” asked Yibble.

The dragon did not respond, but continued to fly forward as he was unhindered by Yibble. The baby slime became grumpy from being ignored, and doing something she has not done before, she started to expand her size; her gelatinous slime began to slowly crawl and cover the dragon, inch by inch. The dragon wasn’t bothered by such an action… that changed when it reached it’s wings. With it’s wings covered in slime, it was unable to flap them as they became heavier over time… what came next, caused the dragon to plummet down.

Right before the dragon came crashing down, Yibble said one thing as she covered her slime over Fluttershy to protect her. “Bede dwagen! Yu gew neiet neiet neow!”

The sound of a dragon crashing to the ground, smashing against the ground, echoed the surrounding area; dust and dirt enveloped the area, as nobody was able to see what became of those who crashed.

Back at Canterlot, Canterlot Station; after the group arrived at the station, a small squadron of guards awaited for Celestia and those with her.

The second they stepped out of the train, one guard came forward; the guard wore a unique armor than the others, and was both familiar to both the princess and Twilight. “Your highness, the dragon was spotted crashing some distance down the mountain. We’ll head straight down there with you from the mountain’s pathway down.”

“Excellent Captain Armor; come, we must make haste!” shouted Celestia. With that, everypony made their way, but before everypony could leave, the captain stopped Twilight in her tracks. None of her friends saw this, and the second they were both alone, the two siblings hugged each other.

“Its good to see you BBBFF!”

“You too Twily! What’s this about a dragon anyway? I was told something about one of them gone rogue, and somepony being kidnapped?”

“You’re somewhat correct; one of my friends, Fluttershy was snatched by the dragon Celestia sent us to check. We assumed it was just another dragon that gotten to close to a pony settlement, we didn’t expect something this serious. We should catch up on the others; I just hope Fluttershy is alright.”

“Indeed… You should also introduce me to your new friends sometime.”

“...Maybe later...”

“Ahhh, alright, but you gotta come visit sometimes.” The two siblings talked nonchalantly, before catching up with the others. Once coming down the mountain through a pathway used by those you climb the mountain by hoof or wagon, a sizable cloud of dust covered where the crash would be.

Using her magic, and the help of all the unicorns, the dust was cleared enough that a detailed silhouette could be seen through the dust. Slowly but surely, the somewhat dazed form of the dragon was visible. He was covered in a very familiar slime when another figure came climbing out the crater.

“Fluttershy!? Is that you!?” shouted Rainbow, approaching to get a better look.

Slowly, the dust began to clear away and as the figure came closer and closer, the one to come stepping out of the dust… was Fluttershy. She was covered in dust and dirt from head to tail, caked in the surrounding debris, she coughed loudly for a puff of dust to come out her snout.

Everypony immediately came up to her, as all the girls came up to Fluttershy and hugged her tightly. “We were so worried darling!” “We thought the worst!” “We’re going celebrate the best ‘Survived a crash’ party, ever!” “You’re the bravest pony I’ve ever met, Shy!”

All the girls began clamoring around her, when a strong realization came to her; turning swiftly around, she came running to the crater and began searching the area. Moving rubble out of the way, and the occasional rock, Fluttershy went from moving debris to outright digging holes, while screaming a certain name.

“YIBBLE! YIBBLE! WHERE ARE YOU YIBBLE!”

Everypony started to think the worse, when a certain tune that started to come out of nowhere, began to play. One of the guards gave a raised brow before speaking his opinion about where the tune was coming from. “In the name of Faust, where’s that music coming from!?”

“Its kind of catchy.”

That was when everypony looked up, and saw a small figure came sailing – slowly on a makeshift parachute – to the ground. At the last second, right before the dragon crashed, Yibble came off the dragon and made herself a parachute made of her own slime, and while the idea seemed a bit impossible, there was an explanation.

As Yibble landed, and was outright smothered by Fluttershy – out of worry and happiness – Twilight checked the makeshift parachute, and saw that this slime was different. The one difference was it was thinner than the other slime examined by her, making it very aerodynamic, which caused a current of air caused by the crash to be blown upward, making her landing smoother… though being made of something indestructible, the reason for making a parachute was a bit counter-productive.

“NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EEEVVVEEERRR, DO THAT!” shouted Fluttershy, trying her attempt to hug Yibble, only getting herself covered in slime.

Yibble nuzzled Fluttershy under her chin, and cooed back. “Ohwa-kwah, mumma.”

After everypony rejoined for a group hug, the royal guard made a perimeter around the dragon, and placed some restraints to keep the dragon from making anymore havoc. Celestia relaxed, and checked the dragon for any signs of this influence… and she saw it; under the dragons scales, was a strange sickly glow – it gave off a faint putrid gray light, and seemed to course through the dragon in a vein-like pattern.

It appears I may need to make a visit with Dragon Lord Torch sometime in the future about this new dilemma in his kingdom… I wonder how his daughter, Lady Ember is doing… I could bring Luna with me to meet them.

“Captain; bring the dragon to the lower caves of Canterlot, and place anti-flame and anti-strength shackles and runes around this dragon. While we are unsure if this influence can effect ponies, I want to make sure nopony goes near the dragon unless they have protective wards on them on all times. Bring some researchers from our scientific department here in Canterlot, and see if you can call the ‘professor’ from Manehatten… he may be interested about this.”

Shining Armor bowed, as he directed them to a nearby guard. “Of course Princess Celestia; you heard her, I want the unicorns to get those runes placed, and for apple’s sakes don’t go near the dragon, especially it’s jaws!”

With that, the group returned back to the top of Canterlot, while the royal guard handled bringing the dragon from anypony else.

Canterlot, Canterlot Castle, Guest Room; the girls, Spike, and Yibble relaxed in the room after coming from the foot of the mountain.

Sometime the girls busy cleaning up Fluttershy and Yibble – especially her considering she kept on climbing the room, due to a bunch of mares chasing her – where they ate afterwords. They enjoyed their time together, when Twilight asked Yibble a question that had been bothering her for awhile.

“Yibble… I’ve been wondering… When you were on the dragon, how exactly were you able to bring that dragon down, while making sure to not harm it and Fluttershy?” asked Twilight.

Yibble was busy nibbling on some sweet bread, before looking up at her with said bread halfway in her mouth. Swallowing the bread whole with a loud “gwomp”, she looked answered Twilight’s question.

“I spwad miself; I swoftin thae dwagon and Fwuttsha… Dwagon was bwad, soe hie gow nep nep.”

Everypony had a little difficulty understanding but got the message clearly; while everypony was happy Yibble was able to be helpful to everypony, this however has answered all her questions with that one sentence.

My research on Yibble so far has showed one constant detail – a strange energy or magical power keeps seeping out from her and her slime… if she’s capable of secreting that much slime to cover a dragon and soften the crash… How powerful is Yibble… and if this her magical strength and stamina as a baby… what would she be like as a grown adult?

Everypony smiled happily around Yibble, and while Twilight’s small frown was only for a second, it disappeared as she put away her worry for another day. But for now… all we need to know is that Yibble saved Fluttershy, and possibly more ponies by her actions today… Right now, she’s a hero and that’s enough to keep myself from doubting.

“What you mumbling about Twi? Get over here!” Rainbow pulled in Twilight, and caused her and Twilight to tumble down and trip over the others. The girls ended up in a pile as they laughed away their worries; they all enjoyed each others’ company, happy they all became close friends through whatever matter or reason.
