She was heading to school with her sister rarity and her two parents. And on that day, her life was about to change forever. They crossed the road, not noticing a run away cart that was blaring down the hill. Her parents looked to their left and caught a glimpse of it. They gasped while running forward, pushing Rarity and Sweetie Belle from harms way. But, in the end, they paid the ultimate price. Sweetie Belle heard it while falling forward from being pushed; that horrid crunching sound. She landed hard on the ground, but dared not look back. Finally, she gained enough courage to look behind her. There her parents laid, in a pool of their own blood. The rain crashed down from the heavens. She slowly stood on her hooves and inched toward them. Her eyes filled with tears more and more with each step. She now stood over them, their lifeless bodies laying before her. "No...." She shook her head backing away, "No... NOOOOOOOO!!!!!" She screamed at the sky with rage and sorrow. Ponies quickly gathered around curious to the commotion of the filly. The next thing poor Sweetie Belle had to endure was the funeral. She just sat silently, never saying a word. Rarity would watch her with her own sad eyes, but the words never came to her. She didn't know what to say to poor Sweetie Belle. What could she say? The priest had Sweetie Belle take the podium, but she just stood in silence. Ponies in the crowd just stared at her tears falling like rain on the wooden podium. Rarity, finally, came up and escorted her back down, "It's okay sweet heart." She just held the crying filly in her hooves. Twilight and her friends were there, but none dare say a word. The priest came back sighing, "Thank you Sweetie Belle..." He looked at her with sadness in his eyes, "We are gathered today to commit these loving parents to her majesty. May their spirits live on in the after life, may Luna and Celestia guide them into the next life. It is not our place to judge, but it is our place to remember. Ashes.. to Ashes... Dust to Dust..." He looked to the undertaker and nodded. The undertaker lowered the caskets into their final resting place. Then began filling the hole. Sweetie Belle just stared motionless, as she could feel her heart sink into her chest with each dig of the shovel. The undertaker placed the tombstone over the grave. Her eyes did not move from the words craved on it, 'Loving parents to the very end.' Rarity came closer worried more for her little sister, "Sweetie Belle?.." But, Sweetie Belle turned and ran for home, tears filling her eyes. Rarity could only watch, then look at the grave, "Give me strength....." She trotted home, unsure of her own future. Rarity was devastated in her own way, she could not make dresses anymore. Her mind could only think of that tragic day. Sweetie Belle laid on her bed for most of the coming weeks, refusing to go to school, or play with her friends. Rarity became worried, for she did not eat anymore. Twilight would make routine visits, but Rarity was never in the mood. Rarity just sat in her dark boutique, crying the pain away. Eventually, Rarity emerged from her home, and as they say time heals all wounds. She would carry on with her life. However, Sweetie Belle, refused to accept that. She locked herself away in a closet and cried everyday. Despite what any pony did, she refused to let them go. Days turned into weeks, but she never came out of that closet, other then to eat. Sweetie Belle was curled in a ball when she heard a voice, "Sweetie Belle?" "Whose there?!" her ears darted up at the unknown voice, her body soon followed. "Show yourself!" She demanded. "How can I?" It replied sounding close, "When I am you?" She looked at a mirror seeing herself in the faint glow from the door crack. It smiled softly without her doing and she jumped back, "WHAT ARE YOUR?!" "I am you silly," It spoke back, "And, together we shall change the world..." "We will?" She curiously came closer, "How?" "In time my friend," it smiled, "In time..." It vanished as she just shook her head. She rubbed her eyes, that was easily the freakiest thing she ever saw. And with that, she left that closet thinking she has seriously spent to much time in there. A new stallion entered the town from the train station. He seemed kind of odd while he passed ponies. He trotted in full guard armor and a sword on his back. He was pure white with black and white streaked mane and tail. He had the strangest cutie mark; a yin yang symbol. But, his strangest features was the fact he was part bat pony. He had no wings, but had every other feature. Ponies backed away a bit scared of him. He stopped before Twilight's castle and waited. Soon the princess came out and began talking to him, while ponies gathered. The two went inside, and soon the princess began talking, "Welcome Captain Leon to my castle and congratulations on your new promotion. I am sure you are tired?" Leon replied, "I am. I hope ponies don't get scared of me being a partial bat pony." She giggled walking with him and smiling warmly to him. "Don't worry we will work on it soon. After all you are the new Captain of the Friendship Guard. Now get some rest." She finished right as they stood before his new room and he nodded going inside. "Let me know if you need anything," She smiled to him. "I will be okay your highness," He replied. "Please it's just Twilight," She replied to him back. "Goodnight, Sir Leon," She left him alone to have his sleep. He laid down and went to sleep. > Part 2 Unity Awakening > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The first beams of sun light pierced through the window. They would hit the young bat pony's closed eyes. With a groan he opened his eyes, causing his pupils to turn into slits. Being part had advantages though, like being able to hear the slightest sounds, a more flexible body, eyes that can see in the dark, and even, a heightened sense of smell. He rolled forward to his hooves, allowing himself to stretch out his back with a lazy yawn. He was slender and stern, all in all, an average looking male. His massive fangs were quite long, they hung from his mouth. He looked over at his desk and proceeded to it. He yawned while levitating a quill into the air. He then placed it on a piece of paper and begin to write, Dear Diary, once more, I find myself in a strange new land; as if the others weren't strange as it is. But, this 'Ponyville', I feel a deep magic bond here.  A knock came at the door. He turned to see Starlight Glimmer barge in, but she jumped in surprise at him. Her face turned red, forcing her to close the door, "Oh my gosh! I am so sorry, sir! I thought this was the bathroom. I get so lost in this castle!"           Leon smirked at her tiny intrusion. He would trot over and open the door slowly. "Don't be sorry," He reassured her with a smile.           She smiled, too, "Wow your a bat pony... Twilight did say our new captain was no ordinary stallion. But, a hybrid? You must be the talk of the town."           "Not always, my lady," Leon sighed and frowned, "Ponies, often, scream ,monster and run away from me."           "You too, huh?" She would enter the room and sit by his window. "I get scared that ponies will remember my past. I know how it feels to be hated by every pony. But, time is a strong healer. I think they have, finally, forgiven me." "Twilight is so kind to me," Leon added while joining her, "She took me in when no pony else would. I hope to repay my debt to her." Starlight studied him secretly, showing a bit of fascination for his unique cutie mark. She ask him, "So, what's your cutie mark mean anyway?" Leon looked at his yin yang symbol on his flank and gave a long sigh, "I don't know really. I woke up with it five years ago in a trash can, with only the memory of my name. I had a hole in my stomach, I guess I should have been dead. The nice ponies who found me took me to hospital. I don't remember who I am, where I am from, or what I am supposed to do. No pony knows who I am. I been wondering this world for the last five years in search of my past." Leon, suddenly, smelt something was wrong. He looked out the window. His eyes went wide as they could, for he saw smoke rising from village. He ran as fast as he could, leaving Starlight to look at what he saw. Leon came galloping up to a horrible scene of a building in a blaze of fire. It was engulfed in flames and ponies had gathered around it. A hysterical and terrified pink earth pony mare yelled, "Let me go! My kids are in there! Please let me go!" The firefighter ponies were holding her back, fearing she could kill herself. A few of them were trying to break the door down, but it wouldn't budge. Leon suddenly felt something deep inside him. All his muscles tensed up, his adrenaline started pumping, and he knew what he had to do. He heard the kids scream out in sheer terror; there was no mistaking what he had to do now. He burst out into a spring for a window, fear leaving him, and all he could think was saving them. He jumped, leaping into the flaming window. He cared not for himself, he had to save them, no matter the cost. He tucked and rolled past the flames that barred the window. Once inside, he found out, quickly, how much he missed being able to breath normally. The oxygen in air was being consumed by the enormous fire ball in the house. The ceiling in the kitchen, to his right, gave way and caved in from the fire. He turned to his left and saw a stairwell going up to the second floor. Leon ran for the stairs as fast as he could. He looked up them, his vision blurring from the lack of oxygen. He shook his head and focused for if he passed out, then he would die. With all his might, he crawled to the top of the second floor. He looked around the second floor. He saw a long hallway with several doors before him. He, suddenly, heard banging and screaming coming from one of the door. At this point, his body had enough, he fell to ground. This forced him to crawl across the floor toward the door. He had, finally, reached the door, his world was blackening. Now, a new problem emerged, he noticed the giant support beam for the house had lodged the door shut. He would not hesitate, with no fear, he grabbed the beam. He pushed with all his might, but he was way to weak, it had to have been a ton. The kids screamed for help, causing tears to fill his eyes. He yelled back, "Don't worry! I am gonna save you! Hang on!" But, his body was failing him, he fell to his flanks. His lungs hyperventilated, desperate for oxygen. When none was found, he simply lost all control of his muscles. Darkness filled his vision, No.... Not now.. I must save the children... He falls on his back coughing as hard as he could. He had failed to save the kids. Now, death would take hold. His heart beat slowed, then stopped, while he exhaled his last breath. A moment or two passed, then, his heart burst into hundreds of beats per second. His shot open to yin yang symbols. He lunged forward and grabbed the huge pillar with his hooves. With no effort at all he threw it away, like it was made of paper. He turned and bucked the door off its hinges. Three little shivering foals were staring at him, terrified. He pointed with his right hoof to the exit, "Run! Get out of here!" The kids scurried for their lives to the nearest exit. Leon heard a loud creaking sound and looked to see a support pillar on fire, moments from giving way. He ran toward it and grabbed it letting the flames engulf his body. He screamed out in pure agony. His skin bubble and fur burned away. He held the beam with all his new found strength. He only cared about the fillies escaping. He felt like a million knives were just slashing his body all at once. Skin soon melted away and now the fire went for his muscles. The firefighter ponies had just broke through the front door. As soon as they did the fillies ran out of the house screaming and crying. Leon screamed out while the building fell around him, and soon, completely collapsed. Starlight screamed in horror from the crowd of ponies. She had been watching the whole ordeal unfold. She buried her face in her hooves, crying for her friend. The fire was, finally, stopped. Nothing was left, but a smoldering pile of rubble and ash. Clean up ponies were shifting through the rubble. They witnessed movement under a large pile of debris. Sudden, out popped a charred and broken Leon. The ponies screamed and ran away yelling zombie. He fell over onto his back, and before long, he was out cold. > Part 3 Unity Awakening > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sweetie Belle eyes were fixed on what she had found. She was staring at the charred and burnt body of Leon. She couldn't help but remember her parents. Her eyes fill with tears, thinking all her life she will only see death. But, a groan and a shifting of rubble, gave a hint he was still lived. Her eyes went wide and she raced to his side. She tried to help him up, but he wouldn't respond. She knew in her heart he was dying. She had to take him with her. She tried to move him, but he would not budge. She eventually tied rope around his leg and was able to barely drag him away. She would take care of him him in the cutie mark club house. It kept her mind off her parents She felt so sorry for him. She even brought books to read to him at night, but still the pony would not move. She spend a few days taking care of him. She smiled to him, but one day, his closed eyes, which made her think he was going to die. She hopped off his belly and ran off to get help. She soon returned with Rarity; the elegant unicorn gasped at the horribly burnt pony. She look to Sweetie Belle with concern, then help Leon into a wagon and quickly cart him back to the hospital. Poor Nurse Red Heart had the job of examining Leon. As she looked him over, she shook her head more and more, then finally, she broke the silence and spoke, "This pony should be dead." She pulled off her hoof gloves and removed her face mask, "Third degree burns to complete destruction of his vital organs. His bones are crushed and ruptured lungs. There is no way this pony can still be breathing. I should be calling a morgue not a doctor." She walked out to Rarity and explained everything, meanwhile, Sweetie Belle sneaked in to see the now bandaged Leon. "Hey mister," she smiles standing on up on the side of his bed. She quietly placed flowers on his chest, "I picked them for you..." She blushed lightly and laid her head on his chest softly, "Whoever you are.... Thank you... You been helping me feel better about my parents. Even if your not awake, just taking care of you these past few days was enough. I can't wait for you to wake up and we can talk to each other. I don't know what it is about you, but I liked to be your friend. Now please wake up soon so we can finally meet...." She hopped off him and ran away out the door giggling. Leon's eyelids stirred a little as if her words were heard by him. Soon after, Starlight came in as she had tears in her eyes seeing him. "Oh my Celestia!" She cried hugging him tight and cried. She pulled back wiping a tear, "I thought you were dead you big idiot... I can't believe you did that... And how are you even alive...." She just hugged him, "I don't care! Your alive!" She looked up when she saw the mother from the fire come in. Her eyes widened while she came to Leon's side. Tears filled the mother's eyes, this made Starlight step back away. The mother pulled up a chair and tears filled her eyes as she just stared over him crying into her hooves. "Today," she broke her silence stuttering from her crying, "I celebrated my youngest forth birthday... I would never seen them again if you hadn't saved them. I can never repay that. I have no words for how grateful I am. You were willing to give up your life for my family." She buried her face into his chest crying more, "Please wake up, so I may repay your kindness!" Starlight put her hoof on the mare's side, "He will be okay, trust me. Now how about we let him rest." She nodded and Starlight helped her out. They left Leon alone for the night. A rush of thought, as his eyes burst awake, and his heart pounded like a drum. He struggled hard, before ripping the bandages apart. His body was perfectly healed and he fell to hard floor with a thud. He was able to wiggle free. He weakly crawled to a mirror and looked to his horror. His eyes had turn into yin yang symbols. He screamed out, his teeth sharpened, and his fangs grew longer. He panted hard, the transformation had completed. His eyes faded to the sky blue hue again. He jumped away from the mirror, yelling in terror. He quickly stumbled to his hooves. He heard the door open quickly. He turned his head to see a screaming nurse Red Heart. He galloped past her, while she screamed for security. He saw the front doors slam shut by two big stallion guards. He told his legs to stop, but instead, on their own accord, they moved faster. His head dipped down exposing his sharp horn, like a ram. The guards went wide eyed, right as he blew them away like bowling pins and burst the door off its hinges. He skid to his hind legs and turned to look back. He saw the guards coming to get him. He saluted, before taking off on his back legs at faster then any pony could have achieved. Once he reached the edge of the Everfree, he looked back only seeing a dust trail he made through town. He still stood on his back legs and looked down at himself. "What is happening to me?" He asked out loud. A timber wolf jumped out at him. Its fangs and claws posed to tear him into shreds and eat him. He didn't even think twice, before he could even blink, like another being had taken control; his fore hoof was buried into its face. The wooden wolf exploded into a blast of splinters and tree bark. More wolves jumped out to encircle him. He cracked his neck and took a fighting stance, "Whatever it is, I like it...." A wolf leaped at him and his hooves became a blur of punches and kicks. One by one he obliterated them with incredible strength and speed.           The morning sun broke the carnage of the wolf massacre that took place in the middle of the night. Leon was now snoozing on a big pile of wooden body parts. A few wolves weakly chew on his legs, but they simply couldn't hurt him. He woke with a yawn sending the surviving wolves scurrying for their lives. "Is there going to be an encore mister?" Sweetie Belle asked emerging from the bushes, "I watched the whole thing. That was.... A bit insane." Leon came closer, "I could put on another show, but that would be extinction. Say who are you anyway?"     "I am Sweetie Belle," she smiled then asked, "What are you?"   "If only I knew..." He looked himself over, "I guess I am Leon Orian." "Wait!" She gasped and hugged him, "Your that pony I saved! Wow so this what you look like with your skin and fur intact." He held his head, "I barely remember. All I remember is a fire and saving foals before everything going a big haze." "Wait you're a bat pony...." She looked at him get nervous then she squeed, "That's pretty epic. Hey there is a puppeteer visiting town want to come with me?" His ears perked up, "I love puppets. When I was visiting Manehatten they had tons of them."   "Wow Leon!" She smiled wider, "You sure have an interesting life. Do... You... Wanna be my friend?"   Leon ears perked up, then down causing him to rub his fore leg with his other and look nervous, "Gee... Aren't I a bit too old for you?" "Leon..." She smiles more, "Friendship is not about age.... Its about being there for each other. Now I was there for you when you were a dying. Can't you just be here for me. A helpless filly who lost her parents?.."   He thought for a moment then smiled, "Sure, I can be your big brother even...."   "Don't get carried away," she giggled. He laughed, "lets go Sweetie Belle."   The two would head to a small crowd of fillies and colts and her two best friends were there. She had been kind of neglectful to them since her parents died. They smiled to her, but held back from her. They knew she was having a rough time and gave her space. The show began and her attention focused on that. The puppeteer used a strange magic to make the puppets move. Most the kids seemed bored of it, but Sweetie Belle was fully engulfed in the magic. She couldn't stop staring at how it worked. Leon, however stayed silently in the shadows, fearing he would cause a scene. Sweetie Belle waited for the show to end, and once the others were gone, she galloped to the big yellow stallion puppeteer. "Hey sir?" She pulled on his coat, "Can you teach me that magic?" The old stallion's eyes lit up as he smiled, "Of course. Here have my old spell book, anything to help a new generation. Wee lass." He gave her his magic book, as he then taught a few spells before heading off. Sweetie Belle ran to Leon and dragged him home. Rarity was instantly upset that there was a stallion that, just yesterday, was just a burnt corpse. And now, he was hanging around her baby sister. "You brute!" She threw a plate at Leon, "How dare you hang around my baby sister you perv!" She threw more things at him when Sweetie Belle began to cry. Her crying snapped Rarity out of her rage. She sighed and looked at Leon with anger, "Fine! But, I am watching you! I swear I will break you in half with my bear hooves, despite how disgusting it be! Got it!" Leon nodded scared. Sweetie Belle hugged his leg and stuck her tongue out at Rarity. Rarity growled and watched them with extreme scrutiny. Sweetie Belle began to practice the magic, but to no effect. The next few weeks would pass and Rarity began to trust Leon. She even liked having him around he helped her make male clothes. They often talked when Sweetie Belle was busy with her studies about their lives. Rarity felt bad for him. He had no family and few friends. "Leon.." she smiled to him softly. "Yes Rarity?" he looked up from her taking measurements of him. "Do you remember anything of your past life?" she asked curiously. "Not one thing," he replied, then finally said it, "Except maybe a vision." "Vision?" she smiled curiously. "I remember long fields of wheat and grain," he replied, "A mare older mare waiting on a hill top for me. Then, dark clouds would come, and the world burned before my eyes." Rarity blinked, then sighed and continued her work. "Try not to think of it," she tell him, "It's obvious your past life was taken away from you for a reason. One day, Sweetie Belle was really practicing her magic, when Leon walked in on her. She jumped and a beam of green shot at him. It hit him and bounce back at her. She screamed out in agony. Then, her horn roared to life and fired a beam at the doll. She panted hard, but as for the doll, it began moving. Her eyes widened, as it moved by itself. It stood up and looked around, before grabbing its neck like it was choking. It fell to the ground and died. An idea hit her hard forcing her push Leon from the room. She grabbed a blow torch. "I know exactly what to do!" She smiled and went straight to work. "I created life... Real life, but it was not able to live without a functional body." She talked to herself, "Maybe, I could do it again, but I need to make a body." She thought hard, then had the idea to build a machine that could support itself. She built a tiny mouse machine. Then, she concentrated really hard, and within moments her horn glowed green. It brought the mouse to life. She jumped for joy around her room. But, now it hit her...... Her parents, could it work if she replaced the broken bits with machinery..... She would sneak her way into Twilight's library and steal books on machines. For nights on end, she studied from simple to complex machinery, even going as far to make her own. It was like her destiny and she could feel it inside her. This was what she was meant to do. Her current cutie mark was a lie. This was her real calling and now came the final act. It was a dark and stormy night, the wind blew hard, and cold rain beat across her face. The lightening cracked the sky revealing a grave of two parents. Sweetie Belle stepped before it. Her eyes filled with tears. She considered going back, while she ran her hoof over the grave. But, a voice in her head told her to shove her shovel into the dirt. It took what seemed an eternity. But, she made it. With a dark smile across her face and lightening cracking behind her; she opened the coffin. Inside were her parents, tears filled her eyes, she shut her eyes tight. She then shook her head, "I will bring you back then no pony will ever die again!" She reached in and grabbed them and stuffed their corpses in a bag. With that she dragged them back to a cave she found previously. Inside was a lab only a mad scientist could love. She quickly flopped the bodies on the operating table. She smiled with dark intent. She skip to her command console. Mechanical arms came down from the ceiling and operated on the subjects. They inserted machinery and removed unneeded or broken organs. Finally, the time came, she creep to the new cyborg ponies. Her horn glowed bright green, "Tonight I defy the grim reaper and undue the wrongs he has caused me. Mom and dad come back to me!" She fired her magic into the bodies, and before her very eyes, they began moving. She laughed evilly out loud, while they slowly stood up. She laid before them, "MOM! DAD!" "Operating system required!" They replied together. "What? Don't you recognize me?" She now looked horrified. "Operating System Required!" They only repeated. It hit her.... She could bring their flesh to life, but not their life force. She screamed enraged, burying her hooves into her face to cry. Then, a ray of light seemed to peak through the cave entrance, casting a shadow behind her parents of herself. Her eyes went wide and she smiled dementedly, "if I can't save them, then I can save every pony else. But, I need an army... I need some way to fight the evil of flesh in this world. Something built in my image...." She began building a robot and what came was an identical robotic replica of herself. She turned it on, forcing its green demon eyes to turn on. It looked toward her with evil look upon its face. It smiled evilly, she laughed out loud. > Part 4 Rise of the Sweetie Bots > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leon had grown a deep desire to find out what was happening to him. He was up every night in the castle library. He was reading every book on strange cutie marks, but nothing came up. He put his head down on the crystal desk. There was not a single mention of his cutie mark in any book or scroll. "Hey..." Starlight's tiny concerned voice broke the silence. He looked up to her levitating a plate of food for him, "I made you you, ugh, dinner. I figure you could use some help. I know what its like to not belong..."   Leon turned away, "Why help me? I am just a monster..."   "Hey! You risked your life for those kids." She snapped at him, "You deserve to know the truth. Leon I was a monster too. I hurt ponies.. I enslaved my entire village..." She sat by his side and made him look her in the eye, "But, you act like you are alone. When you have me...." She came closer, "I really care about you. We will find out who you are." She was inches away as she closed her eyes. But, suddenly, his hoof pressed against her lips and pushed her back from his face. She opened her eyes seeing him walk out the library, leaving her feeling crushed. He put on a cloak and hood over his head, skulked out the door, and into the night. Leon stopped, and then he looked up at the balcony seeing her stare at him. He looked away, then back with glowing yin yang eyes. He then quickly vanished into the blackness of the night like a ghost. Starlight just stared out into the night, "What are you?....." Starlight turned away back to the room. She noticed a black book that Leon had been reading. That's when she saw it, the yin yang symbol on the cover. She, quickly, opened it and read out loud. "The yin yang cutie mark is a curse..... Those who are born with this cutie mark are born in pairs. It is unknown who or what created this curse or even why. But, the affected ponies will be both good and evil. They contain the power of light and dark magic. They are often consider deities and only appear as female and male. Making themselves known right before a world ending event or terrible tragedy. It is believe they feed off pain and suffering." She felt her body shutter, "The last time these ponies were spotted was the time of the windigu and are believed to be the reason for them. The curse of their destruction and misery to pony kind will end when one is killed. But, there is a word of caution. One will be yin the other yang. If yang dies harmony and unity will be spread across the world. But, if yin dies.... The world will fall into darkness and the pony race will face extinction........" She dropped the book as she knew why he ran away from her. "I have to tell Twilight!" She ran out of sight yelling for Twilight. Meanwhile, Leon was in the forest standing in the darkness. His eyes closed to allow his ears to pick up any sounds of danger. All they heard were the rustling of leaves in the wind. He opened his eyes and they were still yin yang symbols. 'What am I?' His mind thought, 'Am I really yang? That couldn't be... But, it make sense. Yang be the one that make himself seem the most trustworthy... I wouldn't trust me.' He sighed the spoke, "I must be yang. It be the perfect cover. So fool proof I wouldn't know I was yang..."   Rarity voice broke his thoughts, "You are a very strange pony... I will give you that." Leon jumped and turned to her, "How did you find me!?" "Easy," she giggled, "I implanted a gem in your tail fur. My horn can track gems. Plus, I was looking for my sister. She is missing." "Well, why are you here?" He asked in return, "We need to look for her!!" "We shall, but I need to thank you first," she stepped toward him, "You helped Sweetie Belle get over our parents dying. And well its helped me a lot, too. Just having a friend like you, it's really hard to find. I don't know what it is, but just having some pony like you to talk too helps..." She blushed looking down and rubbed her right leg with her left hoof nervous. "If you know what was good for you..." Leon turned away, "You'd stay away from me. You are already falling for my evil magic!" "What are you even talking about?" She felt hurt. "I am yang!" He felt tears fill his eyes, "I need to be destroyed before I hurt some pony...." "Again, what are you talking about!?" She demanded moving to his side. "Look," he looked to her as they nearly touched nose to nose and he froze.... "Leon..." She spoke, "Just, think about who you are. Not what some dusty old book says. You have choices.... That's what your cutie mark means... You can be good and evil. Or you could be one or the other. And from what I seen... I seen a good stallion... A stallion... I....I...." Their noses touched, forcing them to just stare at each other. From behind a tree, Starlight saw enough, and she ran away crying... "I love you Leon..." Her eyes glinted, "You are truly my biggest gem in life..." Leon broke away from her gaze, "No, this is wrong Rarity. Forget those feelings... And forget me... I am dangerous!" He backed away from her. Her eyes were filling with tears. "I am dangerous Rarity..... To you, to your sister, and to any pony!" He ran into the darkness leaving Rarity heart broken. "FINE!" she screamed, "BUT, I SEE A GOOD STALLION WHEN ALL YOU SEE IS DARKNESS!!!! YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY!! YOU WILL NEVER HAVE FRIENDS, UNTIL YOU TRUST YOURSELF!!!" She buried her face into her hooves crying tears as she felt her heart rip in half. Meanwhile, deep in the volcanic lands of the dragon empire a giant spire of rock was over looking a lake molten rock. On one side laid the old castle of an ancient evil. It was dark black, with giant smoke stacks rising from the center. Giant pipes fed molten metal into the castle. And from inside there could be heard a faint pounding sound. Once inside, the sound became apparent. The molten rock was separated into elements of metal in giant vats. Of which, were then hoisted high above a humongous factory. Thousands upon thousands of conveyors shuttled materials around. The vats poured down into huge mold castings, causing fire spill up. The molds would close shut, and soon reopen to reveal a head of Sweetie belle. The molds moved, allowing the metal cool. Once cooled off, a mechanical arm grabbed the head with suction cups. It spun around placed the head on a conveyor belt. Soon a robot press came down and removed the top of the robots head. Another arm came down and placed a mechanical brain inside the head case. Then, two more arms came from this side and fixed in green robotic eyes into the eye sockets. To the left was a body chassis being fixed with legs and a tail. Suddenly, hundreds of tiny arms came down around the two assembly lines. They forced in millions of wiring and gears into the body and head. Finally, a robotic arm grabbed the finished head, and placed it on top of the neck. It welded them together with spot welds. As the final, part and bolt of green magic fired down. Its eyes powered up dark green. It smiled evilly, coming to life. "Crush..... Kill... Destroy...." It put on dark shades, "Swag...." Sweetie Belle stood high above from her observation deck. "Soon the world shall know," that voice spoke to her, "Our creation." "Yes master," She replied, "We shall soon purge the world of flesh." "Creator?" A Sweetie Bot smiled behind her, "Can I destroy you now?" Sweetie Belle face hooved groaning. > Part 5 Fall of Harmony > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leon woke up slowly to a loud blaring horn. He never had heard such a powerful and loud horn in his life. He came out of the forest and looked around. He saw Ponyville silently in the distance. Pony foals looked up from the field. He looked up, too. He saw a ball of light coming down from the sky with a smoke trail behind it. It softly fell to the center of Ponyville. Before any pony could even run, the entire world before him turned bright as the sun. His eyes burned as he screamed in agony. His skin burned from the intense light. Soon his skin, sizzled away from its muscles and he screamed out in horror. His eyes exploded and burned away, followed soon after by his own flesh. Ponies below were obliterated by the explosion. A roaring shock wave toward him. He screamed out his last blood curdling scream. Right before what was left of him was blown away by a seven hundred a mile winds. Leon screamed awake from the pile of leaves he laid on the forest. He panted hard trying to catch his breath. "I-It was only a dream...." he assured himself. Meanwhile, It was a calm morning in the meadows of Ponyville. A farm pony was out to check his wheat, when a glint in the distance caught his eye. He looked closer toward the mountains, that's when he saw it. A dark shadow moved over the land; the farmer stood looking in horror, dropping his sickle. A giant swarm of floating air ships blotted out the sun. The largest of them, had a giant sneering Sweetie Belle on its front. From the forest a massive army of robotic Sweetie Bots with glowing red eyes came marching into the clearing. Millions upon millions of Sweetie Bots marched out. The farmer ran for his life, but strike ships flew by over head. They descended upon Ponyville like vultures to a corpse. Ponies tried to flee under laser fire, but it was too late. The elements of harmony tried to fight back. However, they were quickly overwhelmed and captured. Ponyville within hours was reduced to ruins. Sweetie Belle eyes stared wide eyed at the burning village. Her eyes filled with tears, "No....NO! NO NO NO! This is a mistake! I never wanted this!" She backed away scared, looking at all she had created. "I have to stop this! I have to put things right!" She ran to her control console and was about to push the kill switch to her army. "Hold it right there!" A voice yelled at her. She looked around scared, "Whose there?..." She spotted a reflection of herself in the glass of her bridge window. The face reflecting back spoke, "You are really going to destroy all we built together?" She came closer to the reflection, "What are you?" "I am you," it smiled, "Your pain..... Your anger..... Your sadness.... This magic you have in you is a gift. This is a holy war my dear innocent Sweetie Belle. You are the messiah of it. You will end the day of flesh and dying. Bring a cure to the pain and misery of the sick and dying." It shifted to an astral projection next to her. "Together, we will purge them, and for the survivors.... Well I have plans for them. We have plans. Offer them the cure, those that refuse... Put them out of their misery. We will rebuild this world and you and I shall be gods..." It smiled evilly. She cried softly and looked away, "I just want my mom and dad back...." "Together," it held her close, "We will bring them back. Together, we shall build a world of perfection where no pony needs to die." "I want that world..." Sweetie Belle replied, but noticed the being was gone. She turned to the window as a dark smile crept on her face. The coming months saw Equestria fall into darkness. Most the ponies fled to caves and forests, while their cities were turned into giant factories and prisons. Nothing seemed to stop the Sweetie Bots. There were no pony left to lead the survivors and for now the could only watch the world they knew burn. Leon was sitting by a small stream listening with his eyes closed. The calm sounds of flowing water and chirping birds helped him think. A vision soon came to him, it was hazy, but it soon materialized. He could now feel a light breeze. He felt the soft wheat as he walked through the fields. Before him, was a small stone and hay hut on the top of a hill surrounded by wheat fields. He walked closer, he reached for the poorly built door. He pushed it open with his fore hoof. Without a second thought, he entered what seemed a very poor peasants home. That's when he saw it, on the table laid a picture. He came closer to see a mare that looked identical to him. He now felt puzzled and confused and took a closer look. That is when the vision ended and he open his eyes. He looked to his hoof, to his surprise, the picture was there. He nearly jumped out his skin, but managed to look around to see not a soul. It is then he spotted a black and white tail slither into a bush. He jumped after it and tackled a mare. But, his eyes widened when it was like looking in a mirror. Their sky blue bat eyes met, they just stared at each other, and not a word was said. They both just looked like deer caught in the head lights. He would get off her allowing her to stand up. He just kept staring with his mind flooding with questions. His hoof raised as she did the same, he move it to the side, and she did the same. He, suddenly, felt the need to put his hoof back up. She would do the same and with that, their hooves touched. A light formed in their hooves, their eyes turned into yin yang symbols, and the ground shook. They quickly pulled their hooves away. "It has been so long," her voice was like a choir of angelic ponies, "Brother... I am your sister... I been looking for you..." Leon's eyes nearly popped out from shock, "My sister?" She took his hooves as light and darkness swirled around them, "Yes, I am Tera..." She softly spoke and held her hooves to him. "Let me show you," She smiled and gave out sighing tone. They both suddenly floated into the air. A swirling whirl pool of black and white energy formed around them. Both their eyes burst into a bright light. He could feel her, see her memories, and experience her feelings of joy. She felt him, tears filled her glowing eyes. So many years she searched and now she held him him in her hooves, again. They two floated to the ground as the bound had been rejoined. They felt each others emotions and heard each others thoughts. "I have so many questions..." Leon broke their silence. She held a hoof to his mouth, "I have many answers. But, we have time. So, let us speak."   Leon would take her back to his camp and next to his fire. "Who am I?" He began, "What are we?" "If I knew my brother," she looked sad, "I would tell you. But, I spent the past three thousand years looking for that answer..." "Three thousand years!" He gasped. "Yes, we are immortal," she replied, "Though we can be killed, of course. Though, it is said we have to kill each other." She looked very sad and kept her gaze to the fire. "Why you say that?" He asked again. "Its a prophecy or some bull," she looked down more, "But, I would never do that even if the world could be destroyed. You are my only family. The only one who could understand me. I spent the past  one thousand years looking for you." "How did we get these powers?" Leon asked looking very unsure what else to say. "I don't know..." She sighed, "We were born this way.. But, we make our own destiny..." Leon put his hooves around her as she smiled softly. "Who cares what a dusty old book said," he replied, "We are family, we will figure out we need to do. We are Orians and we are together now." She laid her head on his as she felt so warm. "I've waited a longtime," she whispered, "Just to hear you say that. Now we should rest." Leon would nod agreeing and the pair would settle in for the night.
