How it All Ended

In a land of Equestria stood Ponyville. A peaceful place filled with ponies which lead to the home of the Princess of Friendship, Twilight Sparkle. There out in the open is the Friendship Castle where Twilight and her friends hang out and solve friendship problems from everywhere.

However, things were not quite as peaceful as it seems as there was a big group of ponies waiting outside the front door of the castle. All the ponies were cheering for the Mane cast and some were arguing over a book Twilight published about how much they have learned about friendship as they were holding both fan club and anti-pony banners all around the outskirts of the castle. The scene was out of control.

"Rarity shouldn't take part in any of this at all!", an Earth pony argued.

"Why must you all hate the Element of Generosity!?", another Earth pony argued.

"Why can't we see more Applejack!?", another one shouted.

"Why is Rainbow Dash so egotistical!?", bellowed another one.

"More Fluttershy! More Fluttershy!", another one called out to the castle.

It wasn't long until a light green Pegasus pony with a short, garnet colored mane, a bird-like cutie mark and carrying a whistle stopped and thought what was happening inside the Friendship Castle. He found a spot on window that was not drawn by a curtain and saw all the Mane cast (including Starlight Glimmer) hugging together and smiling. This made him realize what he and the large group of ponies had become. He turned away, looking down in dismay on his actions, thinking what he had done. But a few seconds later, he flew to the castle stairway and blew on his whistle loudly. The loud tweet echoed around the area, making everypony stop what they were doing to look at the Pegasus who blew the whistle.

"Everypony stop!", bellowed the whistle-carrying Pegasus. "Is this really what we've all become, complaining about all the friendship lessons they have learned over the years in that little book the princess published?"

"Well, yeah. That's what we were doing.", bluntly called out somepony from the crowd.

"Thank you, Mr. Obvious.", the Pegasus replied but he continued. "But I realized we've been taking a step too far in the wrong direction. We've all been bickering and arguing about what was written in that book and pestering the main crew for so long our magic of friendship is falling apart in an instant! Thanks to us, we can't even see our best ponies' faces ever again!"

Everypony gasped. What the Pegasus pony standing out from the audience said was true. His speech hit them like a wave of shock.

"D-d-d-does this mean...", a cyan unicorn stuttered.

"Yes", he said "It means we-"

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!", a gray maned yellow unicorn screamed. "The Sirens are gonna get us!"

As soon as she spoke, everypony in the crowd were scattering in panic. Banners and ribbons were thrown all over the place, leaving a huge mess around the area while ponies were trying to defend themselves from the spoken threat by shielding their heads with their books. They thought once they argued, Sirens will sense their negative energy so they can feed and brainwash them. Everypony was in a panicked state and unable to think what they should do.

"This is the end!", one gray Earth pony shouted in terror. "It's game over! GAME OVER!"

The light green Pegasus did a face palm near the panicking ponies and blew loudly on his whistle again, giving everypony's attention once more. "No no no no no no no!", he grunted in annoyance. "This does not mean the Sirens are going to invade Ponyville. That's been sorted a thousand years ago. Remember?"

Everypony starting from the left gave out a sigh of relief like a wave.

"It means we were too focused on what was right and wrong about the friendship lessons from the ponies, we completely forgot on what we need to learn from their experiences. I mean, why must we spread the hate on a certain pony on what she wrote?"

"To give out our personal opinions?", said a purple, middle-aged pony.

The light green Pegasus paused in thought. "Opinions, opinions...", he repeated to himself. Then an idea flew into his head like a paper plane. "I've got it!"

"Then what should we do? We can't just ask the Princess of Friendship because she's in there.", an orange stallion with a silver-colored long mane asked.

"It's plain simple.", he replied. "We...need to respect each other."

The crowd was confused on which direction the Pegasus was heading.

"Excuse me?", called a far-away pony from the audience.

"You heard me. We need to respect each other and our favorite ponies on our likes and dislikes. We can't just go around arguing who is the best pony and whatnot. We have to take responsibility in our actions. Did you not see what happened to Rarity?" He then pointed to a gray Earth pony holding an anti-Rarity banner. "You.", he called to him. "Why don't you like Rarity?"

Several ponies looked at him in curiosity.

The stallion pondered for a moment. "Well...it's because she can be such a drama queen when things don't go her way. All she ever does is whine about everything. Is that a problem to you?"

"No,", the Pegasus replied with a small smile. "because you gave out your personal opinion on Rarity and I'm okay with that. Not everypony has to be a fan of Rarity but we can't go to extreme measures against her."

A cherry-colored mare with a blue mane holding an anti-Rarity banner looked up at it and then let go of it completely. "I'm not much of a fan of her designs even when they got the green light to be on display." she said.

The out-standing Pegasus nodded with respect. He then pointed to a cyan Pegasus with a dark-blue mare. "You! Why do you like Applejack so much?"

She gave a big grin and spoke out. "Because she's very honest and can never leave a fellow in danger! She made me want to be a part of the Apple Family because I absolutely adore her so much I wanted to invite my friends around just to see her!" But soon, she found her mistake and frowned. "If only we noticed she was not having a good day and all we did was put pressure into her and her family. Oh, woe is me!" she concluded as she took off her cowboy hat and apple sticker on her Cutie Mark. Her friends also agreed with her and took off their cowboy hats and apple stickers in sync.

"Oh! Me! Me me me!" called a pink maned, bright-yellow Pegasus filly from the crowd with her hoof up. "I just love hearing how many times Rainbow Dash saves Ponyville I never get tired of her stories she tells to all of us!"

"But that would make Rainbow Dash sick and tired of telling the same thing over and over again, wouldn't it?" said the light green Pegasus.

"Oh yeeeeeeah..." the filly replied with an awkward chuckle.

Soon, the other ponies began to give out their expressions and feelings of the mane cast.

"I just thought Fluttershy wouldn't be the same when she's assertive but that doesn't mean she's a bad character.", one said.

"I just love to imagine what it's like living with the Apple family.", said another Earth pony.

"Hearing Pinkie Pie's voice makes me giggle because she's hilarious! Even in sad moments I couldn't stop giggling." said another who was feeling ashamed of her actions.

"If Twilight hadn't gotten her wings in the first place, her adventures would've been more interesting.", said another.

Before long, all the ponies were chatting about what they like and don't like after reading that published book. Everypony respected their opinions and the scene was all calm with a bit of giggles in between the conversations. There were also trash cans filled with discarded anti-banners and ribbons.

"So you see," called the light-green Pegasus. "We all do adore our best ponies but it's true that nopony's perfect. While we can agree and disagree on some aspects, we also need to give them a bit of personal space and more importantly, respect so we too can learn from their friendship lessons. That's why Twilight published the book in the first place."

The ponies began to fully understand what he was saying.

"Does this mean we can all be like our best pony too?" said a pony in the crowd.

"Eeyup!" he replied with a Big Mac impression. "But it's best not to go overboard."

"But are Pinkie Pie and Applejack still related!?", shouted an orange stallion with a brown mane. All the ponies around the area gave him a stare as if he was going to start another commotion. "What? I was just asking a question."

"Well, why don't you make your own stories on that?", the light-green Pegasus replied. "There's nothing wrong with using your imagination." The other ponies agreed with him.

Then, violet filly with a turquoise mane gave the light-green Pegasus a tap on his hoof. "Uh, mister?"

"Call me Swift Rally.", he said to the filly.

"Mister Swift Rally." the filly continued. "Do you think maybe we can all write what we've learned to Princess Ce...Cel...Celet-Sun Princess?"

"I don't see why not.", said Swift Rally as he trotted down the castle stairway. "That way we all have learnt a valuable lesson today."

All the ponies gave a small cheer and shortly after, went to the Ponyville Park to calmly write a letter to Princess Celestia together, leaving the outskirts of the Friendship Castle in a peaceful and quiet condition.
