> A Dash Into Blood > by PixelMoon > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Prologue - A Creature's Smile > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A lone pony dashed through the Everfree Forest. His legs going as fast as they could. He turned his gaze behind him to sneak a peek at the monster chasing him. Regret filled the stallion, for he ran straight into a tree. With her prey distracted, the predator leaped at the earth pony. She hissed, and held him in her forelegs. The stallion, however, was too scared to fight back. He just sat there limply, accepting his fate. However, his captor had different plans. She smirked, and traced the primary vain in his neck with her hoof. Shivers were sent down the earth pony's back. "What do you think I'm going to do with you, dear?" The predator finally spoke. The voice was uncomfortably familier. Somepony in Ponyville had that voice. He shrugged it off, figuring he was just imaging things, considering he did in fact have a crush on the mare who had that voice. "You're going to k-kill m-me." The stallion forced himself to not burst into tears as he murmured the last part. His predator shook her head in shame. "Oh dear, why do you think that? Tsk, tsk. Thou must have shame." She decided to speak in Old Equestrian, as she was as old as Celestia and spent most of her life during that time. The earth pony's ears flicked as he shifted uncomfortably. "I donno, because that's what monsters do?" The predator made a frown. Not that it was visible, for she had a cloak upon herself to stay hidden. "Gee, thanks dear. But I am willing not kill you. As long as you agree. I will not do something unwillingly." The earth pony lifted his head at what she spoke. "Agree to what?" The cloaked predator took a breath. "Agree to join me," she revealed herself. "And join my vampire clan." The stallion's jaw dropped. The lavender coat, though a few shades darker, wings that were bat-like at the moment, sleek horn, sharper now, and now blood red eyes. This was no other than Princess Twilight Sparkle! "Pri-princess Tw-twi-twilight? Is t-hat y-you?" He stuttered. Twilight smirked and nodded. She loved to see the reactions to ponies when they found out that a protector of Equestria, Element of Magic, and alicorn princess was a vampire. The stallion fainted. Twilight cloaked herself once more and used her now red magic aura to drag the pony into her real home. "This will end with me wining, dear. You will be a vampony in the end." > A Crash Into A Nightmare > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rainbow Dash flew at neck breaking speeds through the air. She circled a clouds, causing it to spin. The cyan pegasus then went through several small clouds and did a loop de loop around a wind mill that sent her flying upwards into the sky. It was sunset, and her friends were watching her do amazing stunts. The rainbow maned pegasus smiled as she heard her friends cheer for her. She stopped once she was in the way of the sun, paused, then flew down at her normal fast pace. She flew through the holes of the clouds that the mare had previously flown through, rain drops following her rainbow trail. The rainbow maned pegasus once again flew around the wind mill, and landed. The water floated around her, before creating a rainbow above the brash pegasus. She smirked as her friends cheered. "That was amazing, Dashie!" Pinkie Pie chirped. "Way to go, Rainbow Dash. You rock! Woo hoo." Fluttershy shyly cheered. "That was fantastic, darling. Lovely!" Rarity commented. "Best ah've ever seen. Well, except fer yer Sonic Boom thing." Applejack announced. "It's called a Sonic Rainboom, AJ. And I'm about to do it, so sit back and enjoy!" Dash corrected. They did as she said, and watched their friend fly upwards toward the sun, just as she did at the Best Young Flyers' competition. "Too bad Twi had to miss RD do her stunts. What did she say she was doin' again?" Applejack questioned. "Oo! Oo! She said she was visiting the Castle of The Two Sisters to catch up on her reading!" Pinkie exclaimed. "Oh dear. I hope she will be okay. The forest is a scary place to be in alone. There is Timberwolves, -" Rarity interrupted Fluttershy before the timid mare spooked herself. "I'm sure she's fine, dear. This is Twilight we are talking about, an alicorn princess? Element of Magic? Of course she'll be okay!" Fluttershy hesitantly nodded her head and the four mares returned to watch their cyan friend. She was just reaching the sun as they glanced at her again. Rainbow started to fly down at sonic speeds, something pegasi, besides herself, couldn't do. Before she knew it, a white magical cone started to form. Just as the pegasus was about to pass through the cone, it stopped forming and became a straight line. Rainbow froze as well, before the magic shot her towards the Everfree Forest. Her friends had watched it happen, and even heard her scream from many hooves in the air. "Rainbow!" they shouted, panic arising from them all. Rainbow attempted to stop herself from plunging into the forest, but was unable to, due to her sonic speeds. She sighed, or at least tried to - her sonic speed made it close to impossible for her to really do anything. The ground was approaching quickly. Dash assumed she was going to die, so the pegasus stopped trying to stop her fall. "I'm sorry, my dear friends for what I have done. For now my end as wrung. I tried to be the best pony I could, stopping for ponies who were not understood. Loyal I was, loyal was me. I now can all but see. It was my life, my fate, as you can see. And now I will take the bait. I am a goner. My life has come to a end. Goodbye Equestria, I hope you remember, the magic of friendship I use to fend." She fell through the leaves of the trees and hit the ground. It all went so slow, like it was just a nightmare. Her ribs snapped and broke. She screamed in agony as she felt her wing tear from her body, blood flying everywhere upon her back. Her back was in pain as the broken pegasus laid on the forest floor, awaiting her death. While laying on the forest floor, the dying pegasus noticed something - she was next to the Castle of The Royal Pony Sisters - where Twilight was. Her head erupted into pain, and she felt blood trickle down her neck. She must of hit her head on a rock, or even the castle. Her ears flicked as she her hoofsteps. She managed a small smile as she breathed heavily, as not much life was left. "H-hello?" She whispered. The hoofsteps only came closer, as the pony did not answer her whisper. Rainbow started to feel uneasy. She sighed, figuring it was not a pony, but a predator. And she was the prey. "Rainbow Dash?" A voice came she knew like it was her own. "T-twilight!" She was relieved to see her alicorn friend. Hope filled her heart as she thought that the bookworm could heal her. But she lost that hope when she saw heer lavender friend. Or, usually lavender friend. The cyan mare's jaw hung loosely as she saw her friend. Her fur was many shades darker, as was her mane. Both were tanglely and messy, but attractive for some reason. Her wings were not the normal alicorn wings, but were bat wings! The alicorn's horn was also noticeably sharper, enough to puncture the skin. The biggest scare of all were her eyes - they were now the color of blood. Rainbow attempted to get up and run as fast as she could away, but the lose of blood kept her from doing it. "W-what h-happened t-to y-you?!" She whispered in a Fluttershy tone. Her friend only laughed. "Nothing happened, Dashie. Thy is just older than Celestia is all." She decided to speak Old Equestrian to prove it. The normally brash mare sighed, now knowing her friend is the monster who was going to finish her off. Not that she'll be able to see it, she was minutes away from losing consciousness. "D-do w-what y-you w-want. I-i'm a go-goner any-anyways." She accepted her fate maybe too easily. The mare just felt like she was supposed to fight back, but didn't have the strength to do so. Her eyes slowly closed, but the last thing she saw and felt was Twilight sticking her fangs abruptly into her friend's neck, forcing as much pain into Dash as she could; just for her entertainment. The vampire enjoyed watching her friend shrivel up and die. She smirked, her fangs in their full glory. Soon there was no more blood in Dash's body. She was just a form, nothing inside of it. To Twilight this was a lie. She licked her lips, removing any leftover blood. The vampony then moved her foreleg up to her muzzle, opened her mouth and bit down on the hoof. Hard. Blood trickled down the normally lavender hoof. She placed the bloody hoof in her friend's mouth, allowing the blood to fall into the supposedly dead body. Soon about a cup of blood was in the dead pegasus's mouth. But, the pegasus swallowed. A dead mare swallowed the blood. Not dead anymore, though. The vampony knew this. She sighed as she used a healing spell on herself. Changes were starting to become visible on the pegasus. Her fur darkened a few shades, as did her rainbow mane. Her wings started to molt, and become bat wings. Two razor sharp fangs started to poke through the transforming pony. Her breathing became visible again. The physical transformation was complete. Rainbow Dash had became a vampire pony - thanks to Twilight Sparkle. Twilight lifted the still unconscious vampony with her magic. She flew into the air and into the cool night air. She closed her eyes and smiled. She just turned her crush into a vampire, and secretly made her friend her wife. Instead of the regular transformation - a vampony drinking from a pony and then secretly put some vampire spit in the pony to make them a vampire as well - she made Dash drink her blood too, resulting the two mare's souls becoming one. Twilight smiled at the thought of spending the rest of their eternal life together. Vampires lived forever, as did alicorns. Twilight now didn't have to hide in the shadows - for Celestia made her an alicorn and gave her pony wings. It was easy to make the vampony's pony wings transform into her normal bat wings, even easier than before. Twilight was too caught up in her thoughts, she didn't even realize her instincts had to take over to take the two vampires to her real home. She landed, then finally was taken out of her thoughts. Twilight gazed upon her true home - a fantastic castle that even Rarity would die to live in. It was too deep for ponies to access, which was what she aimed for while creating her home. Claiming to be reading at the Royal Pony Sister's castle was a perfect excuse each time she came back home. Twilight trotted into her home, after her guards - also vampires - bowed before her and her newly wedded wife. The vampony trotted into her chambers and closed the door. She flew to her coffin bed, which was big enough for two ponies, and sat Rainbow down inside of it. She was in the coffin shortly after Dash was. She snuggled against the body, releasing a smile. She closed her eyes and decided to go to sleep early. For tomorrow was a big day. > A Shocking Discovery > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fluttershy sobbed as Applejack pulled her tail, dragging the timid mare through the forest. Rarity rolled her eyes ever so gently, slightly annoyed at her friend's scared behavior. "Fluttershy, dear. Do relax please. We are with you so nothing and nopony can or will hurt you, darling." The unicorn ensured. "B-but R-rainb-bow!" Fluttershy stuttered, scared out of her mind. "Oh Flutters! I'm sure Dashie is fine! And maybe she crashed next to where Twilight is and she can heal her!" Pinkie cheerfully said. Fluttershy only squeaked in return. Applejack pulled her harder accidentally. "Sorry sugarcube. This wouldn't have ta happen if ya would jus' walk on yer own." Rarity gasped and froze, eyes the size of pinpricks. The rest of the group turned their heads to see what the unicorn was staring at, and gasped as well. What they saw was blood everywhere. In the middle of it all was a few cyan feathers. They knew that these were Rainbow Dash's, but didn't want to think that she was dead. "Rainbow?" Applejack said, but it came out more as a question. Rainbow Dash turned to her side, snuggling further into whatever was in bed with her. It was comfy, the best thing she ever slept with. She felt a wing fall onto her and pulled the cyan mare in further. Dash opened her own as well, and wrapped a wing around her forelegs. Wait, this isn't right. Dash's eyes shot open. She was met with a black wall, centimeters away from her muzzle. The now awake mare turned her head to see what was on her other side. "Ah!" She shouted and jumped a bit, but found she couldn't get up. She was stuck in a closed coffin with her best friend, Twilight Sparkle. But that wasn't the weirdest part. Twilight's wing, which Dash assumed was the wing that covered her, was molted of all feathers and was now a bat wing. Rainbow's scream had awoken the vampire. Her eyes slowly opened, revealing blood red irises, which freaked the cyan mare even more. "Dashie?" Twilight sleepily murmured. "Twilight!? Get away from me!" Dash attempting to open the coffin, but to no avail. Twilight shook her head and rubbed her eyes with lavender hooves. The vampire yawned, and sleepily stared at her bride. "Why?" Rainbow's jaw dropped, as she was flabbergasted. "What do you mean 'why'?! You're a vampire! A vampire! Do you not realize you can kill me?!" Twilight giggled a bit, much to Dash's confusion. "Dashie, I can't kill you." "Why, because we are friends?" "Well, not exactly. You... Kind of are a vampire too.." Twilight trailed off. She glanced at Dash, who held out a hoof as if to say 'what?' "Don't be the second Fluttershy, Twi. Speak up." Dash rolled her eyes in annoyance. "You are a vampire." "Twilight! Louder!" "I said you are a vampire!" She clasped her hooves against her mouth, but Rainbow had already heard it. Her jaw dropped, and she turned her head to stare at her hooves. She only now noticed they were a couple shades darker. She unfurled her wings to find that they were bat wings. Rainbow raised her hoof to her mouth, and was met with two razor sharp fangs. "This can't be happening! This can't be happening! This can't be happening!!" The young vampony said, worry seeping into her tone. Twilight felt remorse for Rainbow, but no regret. She did what she needed to do. The vampire had to turn her crush into a vampire so she will not be alone. "I'm so sorry, Rainbow." Twilight said at last. Dash's eye twitched. "Sorry? SORRY?!" She rocked towards Twilight and hissed. "ALL YOU ARE IS SORRY?! I CAN'T GO IN THE SUN BECAUSE OF YOU! I CAN'T LIVE A NORMAL LIFE! NOT MENTION I HAVE TO TAKE OTHER PONY'S LIVES IN ORDER TO SURVIVE!" She jumped all over her friend, red tears filling her vision. Twilight just laid on the floor, talking all in. She knew she deserved this. Soon enough Dash was tired and panting. She finally got off Twilight and sat down. The older vampony sat up, revealing black blood covering her, a black eye, and fur even more out of place than already. "Er... Sorry, Twi." Dash murmured, regret filling her senses. "It's quite alright. I deserved that." Both sat in silence. It was awkward, a friend turning a friend into a vampire, not something ponies would want to talk about. Dash lifted a hoof and stared at her features. The messy fur was quite admiring. She moved onto her wings. No more preening, that's something. Her tail, admiring as well. The more she checked herself out, the she admired her vampirism. Dash didn't like the idea of drinking blood, but she figured she'll get used to it. Rainbow couldn't help but glance at Twilight. She was busy casting healing spells upon herself to notice Dash. At least that was what Rainbow thought. Twilight really was staring at Rainbow. She was really using her magic to watch her, but not actually be staring at Dash with her eyes. Rainbow glanced at Twilight's mane. It really was a beauty. The way it was, just attractive in some sort of way. Her fur, the now fixed clumps just fitting with her mane, causing a glorious look. The colors of her mane was amazing. They were off by a little, but nothing too drastic. Her mane went from navy blue to a shadowy black, causing it to look as if it was made from shadows itself. The purple was now a dark beautiful purple. The pink had a reddish hue, making a look of blood at first glance. And the eyes. The very items that had scared Dash the very most. The amazing, scary, beautiful bloodish with a hint, just a hint, of rosy pink. Magnificent. Glorious. Rainbow Dash had loved them after actually really staring into the eyes. "Dash, are going to stop staring me to death or are you gonna ask me somethings about vampires?" Rainbow's eyes widened. Twilight giggled and motioned her to come over. Dash hesitated, but came over. "So... What should I ask?" "Whatever you want to know." Dash thought for a moment, before she remembered what she really wanted to know. "Why did you turn me into a vampire?" Twilight sighed. She knew this was coming, but didn't want to hear it. "I am infatuated with you, Dash. Captivated by your beauty. I bound our souls together so we can be together." Dash blinked. "What, in the wha?" Twilight rolled her eyes. "Right, I need to speak in your language. I love you Dash. Always have, always will. When making you a vampire, I made you drink some of my blood after I drank yours." "Wait, I don't remember drink blood." "You were already unconscious, Rainbow." "Oh, right." "... I still don't get it that much. Don't you already have somepony from like, a thousand years ago? You are immortal, as I am now too." Twilight held her tears back. She remembered Him. Her last love. "Must I tell you it all?" Dash shrugged. This will be a long night. > Intermission - About the Vampires > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to the intermission! This is where I will fill you with the vampire stuff. About them, what they can and cannot do, et cetera. So, enjoy! •Physical look Vamponies all can look quite different, but still similar. I will explain how they look. -Original The ordinary vampire that you see is like in most images. Fluffy ears, ragged mane and tail, bat wings, and of course, blood eyes and sharp fangs. Twilight Sparkle nor Rainbow Dash are these. The stallion Twilight bit it one of these. They serve their queen(s) and/or king(s). These vampires are the main kind you see. -Leader The ruler of a clan (group) of vamponies looks a little different. In this story, Twilight is the leader, and makes Dash her bride, making her a queen as well. This type of vampires are slightly taller, darker shades of mane and tail, deeper red eyes, the same wings, and rows of sharp teeth, and two razor sharp fangs in the front. If a unicorn, the horn if also drastically sharper, enough to puncture skin. The queen(s)/kings(s) may choose however their clan is presented, what kind of armor, the special item that makes them their clan, and they are able to pick whatever to prove their claim of the throne. -Guards The guards (yes, guard vampires exist!) are very similar to a threstal of Princess Luna's guard. They have the wings of her guard, their fur and mane is not as messy as normal vamponies and rulers. They mostly keep their colors from a normal pony, (before they were turned) some colors are changed though. Their fangs are sharper than regular a vampire's, to protect their ruler. A guard's eyes are also red. •Abilities A vampire can do many things that ponies can't, such as more magical ability, faster flying, et cetera. -Natural Skills Once bit by a vampire, the pony wakes from its sleep and automatically has a few skills naturally. The rest come as they get more familier with their vampirism. Dash, in this case is capable of doing about four Sonic Rainbooms in a row nonstop. Unicorns can cast powerful spells, such as high class dark magic, which is used frequently. Earth ponies have super strength, and are able to buck hard enough to break bones, killing a pony instantly. Normal pegasi would not be able to do four Sonic Rainbooms, as all of the abilities of the pony are different. Depending on the skill level of a pony. Basicly, Dash would be the fastest, Twilight is the most powerful, and Applejack would be the strongest. Every type of pony that is turned is given the same ability no matter the skill level - the ability to transform into a bat. Vampires can turn into bats, yes. I know that they have wings, but this is the cool part that makes them awesome. Vamponies use this ability to hide during the night, as they can fly as a bat without suspicion. Ponies will just think it is your ordinary bat flying. -Unicorn ability Unicorn spell work is based on their level. Twilight is able to cast high class magic, while Rarity can only cast low class spells, such as simple levitation and finding spells. No matter what class the pony unicorn was, these are the spells they are able to cast for sure. *Levitation, of course! *Finding spells *skilled combat *teleportation *illusions *invisibility *illumination (light) These spells go up to class 20, which only powerful spell users that have magic as a talent can do, such as Trixie. Other spells that some can cast, such as the guards, are higher. (All spells above included) *laser beam *petrifying *changeling illusions *fire streaks Not much different as regular vampires. Neither type can preform dark magic. That is left to the ruler. (All above) *dark magic ~Shadow Blade ~Corruption ~Black Lighting ~Crystalization ~Taking a pony's soul ~Relive the dead Leaders can do the most magical ability, a lot of dark magic. -Better senses Vampires have far better senses than ponies, as it is almost the best in the world. ~Hearing ~Eyesight ~Smell ~Direction •Disabilities Though there is many amazing things about vamponies, there always is a downfall. -Sunlight Vampires CANNOT go in the sunlight without a protection spell or clothing protection. If they siad in the sunlight without protection they will burn to a crisp and become dust. -Stakes Wooden stakes are a big no-no. If hit with one, that area has a hole in it, as the stake goes right through the vampire. If hit in the chest the vampony will die. •Facts Now that everything else is out of the way, let's just talk about random facts. -The soul binding This one was requested in a comment as a quehipntizingRobotic Soulcharm, here is the answer. The Soul Binding spell does INDEED effect the one who has the spell on them. It effects their feelings for the pony who cast it. In this case, since Twilight cast it, Rainbow's feelings for her are going to be effected. -Beauty The vampirism effects how a pony looks, making them more beautiful. They become athlete, flawless fur, silky mane, and eyes that make one stare into them forever. Um...... Any other things you guys want to know ask me in the comments, and I'll add it. Hope this fills you in on everything! -PINKIE CLOUDS (PINKIE_PIE_) > Twilight's Past > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I was always a vampire, Dashie. Born from vampires, and raised," Twilight started. "My parents were the rulers of the vampire kingdom. My mother was a very loved unicorn named Queen Nightshine, and my dad was King Shadowfall, the most feared but loved figure in the kingdom." It was a glorious night in the beautiful Everfree. The forest wasn't always scary, it became like that because of Princess Celestia and Luna during their fight. Vamponies of all kinds were running about, having fun. Vampires were a more known race back then, and ponies weren't as afraid. Queen Nightshine was a kind mare. Her ponies were in need of help, so she decided to join the festivities of decorating the town. "Thabo you so mich, Queen Nightshine. I fängt Thabo you Enugu for Helling us Deckfarbe for für annähernd Dimitrow," The captain of the planning committee said. Nightshine nodded and continued her work. The vampire language was not in Equestrian, much so ponies couldn't read any messages that they somehow got ahold of. "Dear, I've told you thousands of times that you don't have to use our language. It's only in letters. Please." Queen Nightshine ruffled the vampony's mane, who then smiled. The younger vampire went back to work, allowing the queen to walk away from the festivities for the time being. Nightshine trotted over to the castle where King Shadowfall was. He was talking to the Second-Commamnder of the Military when he saw his wife trotting over. He released the commander from his presence. He gave smile to the queen and stared at the bulge in Nightshine's stomach. "How's the foal doing?" he asked. Nightshine sat down and sighed. "I can feel her kicking more and more. I feel she's coming out soon," she replied. Shadowfall gave a reassuring smile. His bat wing found its way to the Queen's shoulder and wrapped around it. Nightshine responded to Shadowfall's reassurance by nuzzling the vampony. "She's going to be beautiful," Shadowfall stated with a kind tone. Nightshine was about to respond when suddenly she felt a kick in her stomach. "Oof! Go to sleep, baby. Mamma's tired." But the kicking didn't cease. The kick was followed shortly after by another kick. It didn't dawn on Nightshine until the third kick. Her eyes widened. She was going into labor! The queen grasped the king alarmingly. "The baby's coming!" Shadowfall immediately shot up from his position. He then started screaming, "Medic! We need a nurse! A doctor! Nightshine's in labor!" Every bat turned their heads with panic. Amongst the crowd, two vampires; one dressed in a nurse outfit and the other in a doctor's coat, quickly flew to the queen and king. The nurse had set Nightshine on a bed while the two medics quickly rushed the monarchs to a hospital. Nightshine had undergone a contraction already, and was wheezing in pain. "Hang on there, sweets. We'll get there soon," Shadowfall said. True to his word, the vampires had indeed gotton to a hospital at the castle in no time. As soon as they had gotton a room, the doctor begun to get the baby out. After several hours of pain and sweat, Nightshine lay in her bed, sweat still rolling down her face. She was panting, while Shadowfall sat next to her and was currently holding her hoof. Suddenly, the door opened to reveal the nurse and doctor. The nurse had a sweet smile adorned on her face that showed her fangs. In her hooves was a bundle of blankets. Nightshine immediately smiled. She held her hooves out, and with great care, the bundle was placed in them. The parents smiled warmly and gazed at the baby. The foal was a girl with wings and a horn. Her mane was black with a dark pink and purple mixed throughout her mane. Tiny fangs poked through the filly's small smiling mouth. Nightshine gasped. "An a-alicorn!? But how!?" Shadowfall, whom was just as shocked, shrugged. "I'm not sure, but I believe this is a good thing. Now at least you can teach her magic." "Yes, I suppose." "What are we going to name her?" Shadowfall asked. After a few minutes in thought, Nightshine came to a conclusion. "Twilight Andromeda Sparkle." Years later, Princess Twilight ran around the castle walls. She was giggling, and behind her was her dad, whom was trying to catch his daughter. "Twilight! Get over here you dear nugget!" he exclaimed. The young alicorn suddenly stopped running and had an excited grin on her face. "Oh! That sounds really good! Can we have some dear nuggets?" Shadowfall chuckled. "Heh, maybe some other time, sweetie. But right now you need to sleep. It's almost day time." Twilight groaned. "But daddd! I'm almost two hundred years old! I think I shouldn't have a bed time anymore!" "That's exactly why! You're only 196 years old. You need to go to bed if you want to be able to suck the life out of an entire army of ponies." Twilight groaned but nodded. "Fineee." As she trotted to the one of many staircases in the castle, a vampire ran into her. He looked up and suddenly looked incredibly scared. "Oh my Faust! Best apologies, your highness! I wasn't looking where I was going, and- oh please don't drain my blood..." Twilight gave a stern glare at the cowarding vampire. She leaned over him, her shadow on top of him. The alicorn leaned in further, and when her face was mere inches from his, she spoke. "...Need some help?" The vampire on the floor looked up. "What?" He looked at Twilight's extended hoof. He shakily accepted it, and before the vampire knew it the alicorn had yanked him off the floor. "T-thanks." "It's nothing." Twilight grabbed his chest. "But if you ever run into me again, you know what's coming." She hissed, her sharp fangs glinting in the dawn's light. "Now, what's your name?" "S-star Tracker, your Majesty." Twilight hummed in thought. "Star Tracker...as in the captain of the guard?" He nodded. "Well, you are dismissed." Star bowed down one last time before scrambling away. Shadowfall gave a perplexed look on his face as he and his daughter began to walk to the stairs again. Twilight stared at the vampire across from her. He had a midnight black coat with a dirty white mane that held black dots near the tips. "So, Star Tracker..." The vampire in question glanced up. "Yes? What is it, Twilight, the love of my life?" Twilight smiled but rolled her eyes. "Okay, mister sweet talker. We get it, we are in love." Star smirked as the alicorn continued. "But I wanted to give you something." Star's ears perked up with interest. He watched as Twilight grabbed a box with a ribbon wrapped around it. She placed it in his hooves. Inside the box was a necklace with words written in it. It was in the shape of a crescent moon, and had 'Live, Love, and Kill to Protect' written on it. Star carefully took it out of the box. He felt a tear fall down his eyes and quickly wiped it away. "So, what do you think...?" Twilight asked. "It...It's beautiful. Just like this pony it's from." Star replied. He placed the necklace around his neck. "I love it almost as much as I love you." Twilight blushed. She got up and walked into his arms. Star stroked her black mane as the two stared at the moon setting. Suddenly, Star stared to move. Twilight glanced up at him to see what he was doing. "You aren't the only one who has a gift, Twilight." Twilight got up with an interesting stare. Star grabbed a small black box from the abyss and got up to kneel on one knee. The alicorn got up as well, but stayed standing. "Princess Twilight Sparkle. The day I met you was the best day of my life. Who would have thought that running into the princess and her dad would lead to them dating? I wouldn't have guessed. But here we are, living the dream that was once thought of as impossible. And let me just say, you've made me the happiest vampire in the land. I'm here to make this official. Princess Twilight Andromeda Sparkle of the Vampire Kingdom; would you marry me?" Silence filled the world as Star Tracker waited for Twilight to give her answer. Even the crickets seemed to stop chirping as if they too were anxious for the response. Star held his breath as he waited. Twilight stared with tears running down her face. "I...Star Tracker, I..." She took a deep breath before continuing. "I thought you'd never ask!" Twilight took Star by surprise as she dove into her fiancé's arms. Tears ran down both of their faces as the sun began to rise. Several months later, Twilight lay in bed as she quietly read. Suddenly, her fiancé ran into the room, panic scrolled across his face. "Twilight! The rulers of Equestria are invading! I don't think we can kill them!" Twilight immediately shot up from the bed, her eyes widened. "What?!" The two ran out of their room and quickly ran outside. What they saw, was unspoken. Fire ran throughout the kingdom Twilight grew up in. The castle fell behind the couple as they stood. Tears ran down the princess's face. Without saying anything, she took flight and flew through the fire and ashes of smoke. When she landed, Twilight was faced with her enemy. Princess Celestia and Luna stood in front of her. King Shadowfall and Queen Nightshine stood as well. Princess Twilight gasped, drawing attention to herself. Celestia turned her head and glared at Twilight. "So this is the pathetic alicorn princess? I thought I would see better." The alicorn's horn glowed and she blasted raw magic at the vampire, who attempted to dodge it. She reacted too late. The magic pulsed through her body as she screamed in agony. Her mother called her name, but the voice fell silent after Twilight heard another blast of magic. Voices began to fall away as Twilight to struggled to keep her eyes open. The last thing she heard was Shadowfall scream. Twilight opened her eyes. Star Tracker stood above her with worry written on his face. "S-star..." Twilight murmured before she fell into a fit of coughs. Star gave a relieved stare. "Thank Faust you're okay!" "Why wouldn't I be...?" Her fiancé grabbed her hoof to help her up. They stood in what used to be a kingdom full of hope and love. What was left was ashes of corpses. Little fire remained, but the area where the most fire was next to Twilight. Twilight suddenly forgot about her soreness. She walked towards the fire and saw that it had something burning in it. Or rather, two figures. She trotted forward to the flames, but almost immediately regretted it. Twilight sat down at the edge of the flames, tears that fell burned into a mist from her eyes. Star walked over and wrapped a wing around his fiancé. "I guess I'm Queen now..." Twilight sniffed. She stared into the flames of the former Queen and King. Suddenly, she glared. Twilight got up and walked away from her misery. After all, a Queen didn't have time to sulk. Queen Twilight trotted alongside her fiancé. It had been years later, yet she never got the chance to properly marry Star Tracker. The death of her parents had finally numbed. Life was going a bit better, and Twilight could finally enjoy herself. At least, she's hoped. "So, are we ever going to actually get married, or do I only get to call you my fiancé?" Star Tracker spoke. Twilight giggled. "Fine, how about...this Saturday?" "Deal." "I'm afraid you two won't be able to make it to that day," a voice spoke. Twilight's horn immediately started to glow. She turned around at the sound of a stick cracking. Standing behind the two was no other than Princess Celestia of Equestria. "You!" Twilight exclaimed, hated filling her voice. "Me," Celestia mocked. "Where's your petty sister?" Twilight asked. Celestia's face saddened. "She's gone." Star joined in. "Oh, so that's why she's in the moon! I thought she finally got sick and tired of you like us." Celestia glared at Star Tracker. "Shut your stupid mouth, you bat!" The alicorn grasped Star in her magic. "Let's see what happens when you hurt myself or my subjects, monsters!" "Let him go!" Twilight screamed. Celestia answered by shoving him into the ground. Before doing anything else, she cast a spell that locked Twilight and froze her. Twilight tried to move her hooves, or her eyes for that matter, but couldn't. She was forced to watch whatever Celestia was going to do. The princess grasped Star's wing and twisted it. A sick crack rang throughout the alley everypony was in. She did the something to the other wing. Star screamed in agony as his wings broke. Twilight felt tears falling down her face as she was forces to watch. Celestia grabbed his hooves and twisted all at the same time. The pain was quadrupled. Lastly, Princess Celestia's horn glowed. Flames sparked to life underneath Star Tracker. Twilight felt a burn in her eyes as she watched her soon to be husband burn to death at the hooves of an alicorn who brought her world down. "T-twilight..." Star called out as his body burned to ashes. "Before I leave this world forever, take this." He through a slightly burnt necklace at the frozen Twilight. The necklace read 'Live, Love, and Kill to Protect'. Twilight felt tears run down her face as Star tried to say one more thing. "I'll always l-lov-" the flames of Celestia devoured his whole body. He last breath rang out through the alleyway as the alicorn princess stared with satisfaction. Twilight didn't care anymore. She simply didn't. She broke the spell and launched herself at Celestia. "How. Dare. You!" "You're a monster. You should have seen it coming," Celestia spoke. Twilight's eye twitched. "You're calling me the monster?! You went out of your way just to kill everything I love! It's one thing if it's my family, but my love of my life?! You've gone to far. Burn in Tartarus, you little bitch!" The queen leaned in and bit Celestia's neck. The princess screamed in agony as her blood was drained. At last minute, Celestia cast a spell that flung Twilight off of her. She quickly flew away, blood falling down her side. "Be careful, Celestia. Revenge will come sooner or later." And with that, Queen Twilight Andromeda Sparkle lost her emotions for anything in the world. > Blood > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dash sat with her eyes wide. Twilight had practically poured her heart out to the vampire about her agnoy and why she hated Celestia. And after hearing that story, she would too. But that didn't mean she could just forget about all of the good things Celestia did to protect her country. What about Sombra? What about Nightmare Moon and Discord? Plus there was Tirek... Twilight wiped her tears of blood from her face as Rainbow continued to think. "Do you understand, Dashie?" "Please don't call me that. This is a lot to take in right now." The older vampire nodded and looked away. Dash continued to think about the story she had heard. What about what happened after that? Why did Twilight just now decide to fall in love again? Surely she tried from time to time during those thousands of years. Star Tracker couldn't be the only one... "Twilight," Dash spoke firmly, grabbing the alicorn's hoof. "Surely you got together with someone else, right? I can't be the first one in a thousand years." Twilight bit her lip. "Well...There was Night Walker, but he was only using me and my title." "What happened then?" "I burnt him to a crisp. Nopony betrays me like that." Dash blinked. Better not hurt Twilight then. The two sat in an awkward silence for a few minutes before Dash cleared her throat at long last. "So...What about our friends? Do we tell them, or...?" Twilight suddenly dove onto her soulmate and hissed. "Absolutely not. I've kept my secret from Celestia for so long and I don't need someone like Pinkie or Rarity to blab it to her." "Oh, that reminds me. How have you kept Celestia from finding you out? I mean, I'd think that she'd realize her student is the Queen of Vamponies. " That's when Twilight smirked with pride. "Simple. I hypnotized her to not realize who I am unless someone told her or removed the spell itself. " Dash clapped her hooves together with an impressed face. "I don't need to be a unicorn to know that hypnotism is difficult. Bravo." Twilight blushed and smiled at the compliment Dash gave her. When nothing else was said, Twilight awkwardly shuffled around on her soulmate, trying to get comfy. "Uh, Twilight? Can you like, oh I don't know, maybe get off of me please?" Dash asked. Twilight pouted and reluctantly got up. "Dashie..." "I told you to not call me that." The two sat in silence once again. That was until Rainbow's stomach broke the silence by growling. Twilight giggled at Dash's embarrassed face as her stomach kept growling for about ten whole seconds. Ten very, very, VERY loud seconds. "Yeah, I think it might be time for you to feed," Twilight stated through her giggling. Dash gave Twilight a deadpanned look. "No, really? I never would've guessed." Twilight rolled her eyes and smiled as she got up. "Well, come on." Rainbow suddenly looked genuinely scared. "Uh... G-go where?" "To get some blood, duh." At that moment, Dash's stomach decided to growl again. "Blood?" The realization that she had to drink blood and that she was a vampire finally started to sink in. "Oh my Celestia... I'm a freaking bucking vampire..." Twilight rose an eyebrow at her soulmate. "Uh Dash? You okay?" Dash suddenly closed her eyes and groaned. A distressed face started to form on her as she begun to shake. Twilight started to look concerned and was about to grab the other vampire when Rainbow suddenly opened her eyes. Twilight saw that look in her eyes many times in the eyes of predators. It was the look of pure hunger. And when she saw that look, she knew it wasn't her soulmate anymore. No, this was a wild animals craving the blood of others. And she was going to get it no matter the costs. Twilight suddenly felt scared for her own life. Newborn vampires were more often than not incredibly dangerous if their last resort predator instincts kicked in. Believe it or not, Dash was willing to kill Twilight for blood. Dash growled and started to slowly approach Twilight, who ignited her horn. "Dash... don't make me hurt you..." Rainbow paid no heed to what her soulmate said and started to walk towards Twilight even faster. She suddenly dove onto the alicorn and hissed. A blinding light filled the room and Dash's agony cries filled the room. Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy walked in silence, the only thing heard was Pinkie and Fluttershy's cries. Rarity sniffled a few times, while Applejack cried from the inside. Their silence was interrupted, however, whenever a shrill scream echoed through the forest, loud enough to break windows. The voice was one that was very familiar, followed by a sad cry of a certain alicorn. "Rainbow! No!" they heard Twilight scream. The four ponies gasped. "Twilight?! Rainbow?!"
