> Do You Really Love Me Unconditionally? > by stephamazin > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > First Meetings > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Even as a little filly it had been apparent to Fluttershy's parents that she was a very weak flier and timid filly. She never wanted to go out and was never able to speak more than a few sentences. In everyponies eyes she was a obvious misfit; pegasi were suppose to be courageous and outgoing even to the point of being rambunctious, that was not Fluttershy. Her parents Mommy and Daddy Shy had decided to put her into junior flight camp in hopes that she would come out of her shell. To Fluttershy this was terrible news, she would have to fly more than five feet off the ground and be around foals her own age. Did her parents hate her? It was as scary as she had feared how could these foals fly so high when they could fall so easily? A female filly surrounded by other foals temporarily made eye contact with Fluttershy. Her mouth turned into a cheshire grin as she gave a wink and continued on with her group. A shiver went up Fluttershy's back. Fluttershy was boggled on how one foal could have so many friends yet not shrink under all the attention. "Flutters?" Fluttershy looked to her father with the saddest bunny rabbit eyes she could muster. "I know you'd rather not interact with others but will you at least try, for us?" He said grasping his wife's hoof as both turned to their daughter. "O-okay I'll try my best." Fluttershy said nervously rubbing her hoof on her front knee. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fluttershy was having a hard time eating her favorite carrot cake because of her fried nerves. She excused herself from the table and walked back up to her room. On the way she passed Zephyr's room that was decorated with many posters and trinkets most depicted things he'd shown less than a month of interest until he stopped caring all together. Fluttershy's own room had changed very little over the course of her life. In one corner of the room were two beanbags one yellow and one teal; beside this was a small bookshelf with genres ranging from picture books to self-help books on confidence. Also, She had a medium sized cream princess bed with green see through curtains on the rods for added privacy. The bed was adorned with a very soft pink comforter that was hidden by all manner of plushies; including her most beloved one, a white bunny rabbit named Angel. Since Mr. Shy had been called in to work at the cloud factory Fluttershy was taken to junior flight camp by her mother. Once there her mother sat at the gate with her daughter. " I'll be back by two o'clock. Dear, I want you to know that if you ever think you really cant handle it you can always come back home; my forearms will always be open for you." She said before lifting her glasses back in place and doing the same motion to Fluttershy's face. "Chin up and glasses on. Love you" With a final hug Fluttershy was left on her own. She had thought she would dissapear into the shadows immediately but she saw that girl again and that girl saw Fluttershy. This time her smile was a bit more gentle; the girl made a step towards her then changed her mind and continued past Fluttershy. Having someponies full attention, even for a short period, was causing her yellow body to quake in terror. "Oh, what did she want? I hope I can just stay in the shadows" Sadly, it seemed that today was not her day. A few minutes later Fluttershy walked across the racing lane and was bowled over by a yellow-brown colt with three basketballs on his flank. He scowled at her for being in his way and causing him to lose the race against the other foals. Two more colts flanked him, both had hair covering their eyes but Fluttershy was still certain they were glaring at her. "What did you think you were doing crossing the track, it's your fault that I lost the race! I've never seen a pegasus that was as much of a wimp as you. Stay outta my way" After pushing Fluttershy into the solid clouds he walked of while grumbling with his friends. The brown pegasus colt laughed and said "Ha even your four year old baby brother can fly better than her". With that final comment Fluttershy picked herself up and walked by the counselor's building. The building was rather small but it had large windows that displayed the interior of the building. Inside she spotted a few foals. One was a white colt with red eyes and blond hair with wings so small she wasn't sure he could fly at all. Another was a gray filly who had a small frown on her face as she tried to focus on a piece of paper in her hooves. When the filly looked up she saw that each one was looking in its own direction. Fluttershy chose against sitting inside the office and sat on the bench outside instead and cried until she got thirsty and sleepy. She woke up later with the same funny eyed girl looking at her. "Are you okay, I saw you sleeping here. Our parents are suppose to pick us up in less than twenty minutes. W-were you crying?" Fluttershy stared at her and rubbed at my eyes before covering them, and half of my face, with long pink hair. "I haven't been crying I was just tired after hanging around all of these foals and needed some time to be alone." "Hmm well if you decide you don't want to be alone you can always hang out with me and my friends." Her visage brightened as she gave her warmest smile to Fluttershy. Fluttershy returned it with her own small cautious smile. Upon seeing her mother she left but first she said "My name's Ditzy Doo but you can call me Derpy. See you tomorrow" And with let she left. After a few minutes Fluttershy's own mom arrived "How was your day, did you take to any fillies or colts?" "Oh um yea, I talked to a couple foals" Her mother immediately praised her and said she would make her favorite food tonight because of how proud she was. Right before they left she spotted another filly and Fluttershy was captivated her heart beat a mile a minute and her ears became dead to everything but that filly's lovely voice. "Dad, You should have seen me flying the speed was amazing. Sure, I lost to Lightning Dust and Spitfire this time but just you wait I'll train until I leave those fillies in the dust!" > I Want Her Attention > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The ceiling wasn’t anymore interesting than it had been the night before. Yet, Fluttershy’s eyes remained open. Her mind was filled with thoughts of that mystery filly. Her luscious hair that gently changed from yellow to orange and continued until all the colors in a rainbow were included. Her defiant eyes had been a vibrant pink while her fur contrasted with a blue that reminded her of the sky on the clearest day. Fluttershy shot up when she felt her throat dry up. With how shy she was she’d never be able to catch the rainbow filly’s attention. Fluttershy sighed loudly, maybe if I get Derpy’s help I can get up the confidence. Tomorrow I’ll try asking Derpy if she still wants to be friends. The coming morning she ended up unlucky. “Are you fine with Zephyr taking you to flight camp today? Me and Dad are a bit busy today but I promise one of us can take you tomorrow.” Fluttershy turned to look at Zephyr; currently he was leaning back in his chair, dangerously close to falling, eating a piece of cinnamon raisin bread with an aloof expression. She didn’t dislike her brother she just found his flakiness annoying. Especially with how she was actually excited to go to flight camp. She sighed inwardly before planting a smile on her face. “Don’t worry mom I know it can’t be helped if you’re not always free. Zephyr can take me instead.” With that her mother breathed a little earlier, she always worried for her little girl’s well being. “Zephyr, you better make sure your sister gets to flight camp and pick her up or we’re grounding you for a week” Mr. Shy glared at his son. Zephyr simply sighed and assured that he would. After eating both parents left. Once Zephyr finished his toast both children left their home towards the camp where Derpy and the mystery filly that had stolen every thought in Fluttershy’s pink head. Once they arrived at the gate Zephyr ushered her in, said a quick hello to his old coaches and counselors he’d talked to when he was as young as Fluttershy was. Fluttershy walked to the same office she had met Derpy at in hopes that she would be there. While she was peering through the window to see if any blond hair would catch her eyes she felt a pair of hooves wrap around her neck. She made a noise similar to a fainting goat. Fluttershy’s legs stood stiff in the air as she tried to breathe to lessen her panic. Two yellow eyes looked at her worriedly. “I’m sorry for startling you, do you want me to help you up?” Fluttershy nodded and reached towards the outstretched hoof. Once all four buttercup yellow hooves were placed on the ground she noticed three colts across the cloud-yard. “Geez, Have you ever seen more of a coward? I bet if the smallest down feather touched her flanks she’d seize up.” Hoops cracked up at his own joke and several foals joined in. He must be a very popular colt to have that many friends this thought confused Fluttershy; to her he seemed mean. Thankfully after the initial comment he had walked off with the rest of his entourage. Fluttershy was glad he left as he did because she needed to talk to Derpy. “That boy is such a bully but don’t let him bug you he’s mostly bark and only a little bite.” “It’s fine, but on a more serious note could you help me out of my shell, pretty please? O-only if it’s not too much trouble, I don’t want to impose.” Fluttershy was sure her heart would explode as she force out the words she had gone back and forth over asking. Derpy stared at her and then but a hoof to her chin. “I’m not sure that I’m the best filly for the job... but I love to helping my friends and that includes you.” Fluttershy thanked her gratefully. “I told you its no problem. However, one of my friends is great at coming out of her shell. In fact, I’d say she is the most confident filly I’ve ever met. Thankfully she doesn’t have a single bullying bone in her body.” Fluttershy’s glee turned into slight fright at the thought of an unknown filly. Before she could agree she was dragged across the yard to the finish line. There her eyes were drawn to the outline of blue that stood out against the white clouds. Fluttershy’s eyes widened to the size of dinner plates; she was oblivious to the fact that her mouth was hanging open until Derpy pushed it back up. The filly rushed past right after a different blur crossed the finish line. The strong gust of wind that followed them pushed the hair out of her face so that both eyes could view the goddess in front of her. Anyone who saw her at this moment would confirm that stars were in Fluttershy's eyes. "You were even closer to beating me than last time, maybe next time we'll get a tie." Said the orange filly with a fiery mane. "Just you wait, Spitfire, Next time I'll be the one ripping that red ribbon" Challenged the blue filly a large smile on her face. Fluttershy had yet to blink, she was too focused on the filly that was as beautiful as the mist from a waterfall turning into a rainbow. Her eyes trailed from her windblown mane to the sweat trailing down her heaving chest. "Rainbow, hey Rainbow come here, I want to introduce you to my new friend." Fluttershy manages to tear her eyes away from her to face Derpy. She couldn't believe how lucky she was, in the back of her mind she worried she'd used up all of her good luck for an entire year. "This is Fluttershy, she's pretty shy but she wanted to break out of her shell. I thought you would be the best one to ask, after all you're the most confident filly I know." Rainbow Dash looked from Derpy to the pale yellow filly to her side. When Rainbow Dash began speaking to Fluttershy she felt her ears perk to catch everything she spoke. Fluttershy thought the way she spoke was similar to colts, the way it squeaked reminded her of when a colts voice broke. Her voice made a shiver travel down her spine and she temporarily focused on keeping her wings closed. "You came to the right filly, Derpy" A cocky smile graced her face when the rainbow filly spoke. "Are you prepared to train harder than you ever have before?" Fluttershy nodded vigorously. "Good, then lets get started" > Earning Her Affection > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After closing the door to her room Fluttershy unleashed an ear-piercing squeal; she dove into her bed pulling her white bunny rabbit plushie free from the others and flying in a circle above her bed. Angel bunny flapped violently from the speed Fluttershy flew with. When she began to feel dizzy she floated back down to her bed while her heart soared. Downstairs Mr. and Mrs. Shy smiled brightly as they listened to their daughters happiness while Zephyr rubbed his ears but even he could stop the small smile from forming on his face. ----------------------------------------------------------- "You don't have any endurance do you? Don't worry I'm not giving up on you; catch your breath and we'll do another lap" Fluttershy's heart no longer soared, instead It pumped weakly still trying to get use to the sudden speed Rainbow Dash wanted from her. Rainbow rolled her eyes and walked out of view. Fluttershy thought she would cry, she'd failed to impress her and now she wanted nothing to do with her. With her eyes squeezed shut and the blood pumping through her ears she failed to hear the footsteps heading towards her. A soothing cold touched her forehead and she opened her eyes to see Rainbow placing a towel to cool her down and handing her a bottle of water, condensation fogging the bottle. "I'm sorry I didn't take your current level into consideration. We should try wind sprints instead; flying full steam and then flying leisurely so you don't wear out too fast." Fluttershy nodded while hurriedly gulping down the cold liquid. Fluttershy felt certain she had never flied as fast or tried as hard as she did when Rainbow Dash was the one egging her on. Rainbow flew just in front of her with a smile on her face; Fluttershy wasn't sure if she noticed that the tip of her tail was tickling her nostrils but she wasn't about to complain. Although her training to get past the speed of the two slowest foals in class took a long time when she did everyone was impressed, even the bullies. The bullies noticed Fluttershy's newfound speed and budding confidence with disgust, they'd have to put her back in her place as bottom of the herd. However, Rainbow Dash was ecstatic, every time Fluttershy finished before another racer she cheered and hollered. "Go Flutters, you got this! With a teacher like me it was only a matter of time." Fluttershy always felt full of pride when Rainbow Dash hugged her after the race; knowing that Rainbow Dash was genuinely proud of her made her feel complete. Until those bullies decided that they should hurt Rainbow Dash; they knew the little filly with the large sense of loyalty wouldn't leave her friend so they simply included her. When Derpy had ran to Rainbow Dash covered in scrapes and crying she was immediately concerned. "It's those three again they threw a basketball at me and I fell. They laughed and joked about my eyesight and said that I would always be a burden to those around me." Derpy's eyes watered as she told the story to Rainbow Dash. How dare they Fluttershy thought. Under her breath she said "If they hurt those I care about again I might not be able to control myself." Unbeknownst to Fluttershy the first girl she had seen was staring at her, eyes locked on and body frozen in place. "Kat are you okay you suddenly stopped walking, what are you looking at?" "No need to worry, I was just confirming something." With that the girl's body once again moved turning to face the confused friend behind her. "Can I ask you a strange question, How do you run from what's inside your head?" ------------------------------------------------------------------- The next few days the bullying only got worse Fluttershy and Derpy were bullied directly while people whispered about Rainbow Dash behind her back. Fluttershy wasn't bothered by the bullies; after all, their opinions mattered as much to her as a rabbit cared about the opinion of a carrot. However her patience was starting to run thin with their bullying of Derpy; however, the delicate thread snapped when they hurt Rainbow Dash. Both Spitfire and Lightning Dust avoided her and refused to race with her anymore. "I-I knew those bullies would try something when I befriended Flutters and Derpy but I never thought my friends would avoid me because of that choice. I still want to be friends with them but not if I have to abandon Fluttershy and Derpy to do that." When Fluttershy heard her sniffling in the counselor's office she knew she needed to do something. Her first response was to do what any sane filly would do, politely ask them to stop. "You have to stop being mean to Rainbow and making others avoid her! O-or else." She only stuttered once. For once Dumb-bell spoke up, he didn't laugh at her threat instead he towered over her "Or else what? If you go crying to a teacher I will make your insignificant yellow body turn black and blue. Go hide in a corner with your tail between your legs, Klutzershy." With that all his friends walked off leaving Fluttershy's legs feeling like jello during an earthquake. Fluttershy fell to her knees ears pressed to her head and tears flowing. Even with her currently weak body the flame inside her had only grown larger, burning brighter and hotter. When Fluttershy returned to her home the flame had yet to cool in the slightest. She laid on her bed holding her plushie; she hugged it tight, then tighter and tighter until its eyes bulged then she stopped. How dare they hurt her friends, she went down stairs and took some of her mothers old magazines and went back upstairs. She stomped over to her desk where a single lamp stood and pulled the cord, shadows danced in the sudden light. She reached for a pair of scissors and began cutting. At the end of the pages she glued down the cut out letters N, G, A, L, and E. She spelled out ANGEL. With her letters completed she took a black hoodie from her closet and tucked every hair in her mane inside to at least partially conceal her identity from any insomniacs who may have been wandering around at this time of night. She opened her window and flew out into the cold air. When she reached the last house she breathed a sigh of relief, nopony had spotted her late night flight. However, Not ten minutes after she had left Hoop's house a different pair of hoof steps could be heard. They stopped in front of the mailbox and reached for the freshly placed letter. The figure's gray coat vanished in the dark night but her vibrant blue hair and matching striped socks made her form visible. She laughed quietly "Every adventure requires a first step" She said before placing the letter back inside. > Doing One-Hundred Twenty Percent For Love > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the next few days the bullies were jumping at shadows, seemingly as skittish as Fluttershy had been. They had made plenty of enemy with their personality but they'd never received a letter so descriptive it made them feel sick. While they were much better than before it wasn't enough for Fluttershy. When they challenged Rainbow Dash to a race Fluttershy had been cautious. When Fluttershy waved that checkered flag she felt her jaw ache from the strength she gripped the pole with. Her anger cooled when she saw Rainbow's visage. She looked euphoric. Her mane and tail fluttered violently as she zoomed through a hoop. She howled in unfiltered bliss; Rainbow Dash loved races, whether she was in them or not. Suddenly Hoops swerved to the left ramming into Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy's happiness transformed into rage when he called her Rainbow Crash. While her body trembled in fury her eyes remained locked on Rainbow Dash. Rainbow's wings pumped faster than ever before in effort to past the colts. As she tore through the air a near transparent barrier just in front of her hooves. Just as she reaches the lowest hoop she breaks through leaving a magnificent rainbow trail after her. She leaves a large shimmering upside down rainbow in her wake. When she lands her appearance is breathtaking. Her hooves look as if she had dunked them in the vats in the rainbow factory. Across her back was a trail of rainbow starting at the bottom of her mane and ending at the base of her tail; her entire body seemed to be glowing with power and beauty. Fluttershy could hear a voice in her ears and it took a second before she realized it belonged to her. "A sonic rainboom, she did it. She did it, Wooo!" Fluttershy jumped up and down with glee before tackling Rainbow Dash to the ground. Every other pony sat or flew in stunned silence, a sonic rainboom was suppose to be just an old mares tale. She had made the impossible happen. Lightning Dust rushed forward to talk to her. "I'm really sorry that I avoided you before. I had been told that you were, like, a total loser but you can't be if you can fly like that." She extended her hoof "You should totally hang out with us instead of those weirdos you usually hang with." Her smile slumped when Rainbow Dash didn't take her hoof. "I'm not gonna abandon my friends just to join the popular crowd. Thanks for the invite though." With that she turned and heading towards Fluttershy and Derpy leaving Lightning Dust with a scowl on her face and a clenched hoof. "Derpy Flutters, did you see that; I didn't even know I could do that. That was awesome." Rainbow Dash radiated happiness. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Less than a week later one of Lightning Dust's underlings asked Rainbow Dash to a race. The colt wasn't anything special it was obvious he was going to lose from the beginning but what shocked all but a few was when he pushed he at the exact wrong, or right depending on who you ask, time. Her eyes went wide as she saw the upcoming column; she only had a few seconds before she'd hit it. Rainbow Dash managed to turn to her side to avoid a head on hit with the column but... her wing snapped. Fluttershy stood frozen when she heard Rainbow Dash scream in mind-numbing pain. Her body fell like a rock, Rainbow struggled to slow her descent with one good wing but the ground continued to get closer as she spun in a circle. She felt tears fill her eyes, she closed them tightly before screaming out. "FLUTTERSHY!" The yellow pegasus burst into action racing to the ground. Blood roared in her ears as she took in Rainbow's proximity to the ground. Fluttershy flew faster than she ever had the flame inside her scorched her insides a painful black. Rainbow Dash had turned to face her approaching friend; she reached her hooves out to Fluttershy and she did the same. Fluttershy hit Rainbow Dash head on. With the additional two wings the descent slowed. They tumbled in a circle as the world spun back and forth; Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash Wrapped their hooves around each other. Fluttershy could feel Rainbow's tears staining her fur; She kissed each of Rainbow Dash's eyes. Tasting the salt from the tears on her lips Fluttershy began hauling her friend back up to Cloudsdale. She kept the burning hatred off her face for now but she knew there was a filly up in those clouds that should fear for her life. Rainbow Dash was swarmed by medical ponies after the mare watching them had seen Rainbow Dash fall. She watched get carted away slowly but when she spotted Lightning Dust, if looks could kill her entire body would already be rotting from the inside out. Fluttershy breathed slowly to keep herself from running towards the girl and ripping a chunk out of her neck. No, Fluttershy had other plans for what she'd do to her. All she would need is duck tape. When Fluttershy walked into a nearby convenience store she grabbed a basket and started walking through the isles. In the end she also purchased a rather large veggie sub for later. Then she went to talk with Lightning Dust, phase 1. "Hey lightning can I talk with you for a minute? It's extremely important." Lightning may not have liked her but she was still curious to know what Fluttershy wanted. "Make it quick then" With that Fluttershy lead Lightning Dust away from the crowd so she could start phase two. "Alright, We're alone now out with it." Fluttershy lunged at her, she smacked a piece of tape against her mouth before full-force kicking her in the face. Lightning Dust began to wake just as the stars came out everything was quiet and her eyes struggled to make out anything through the thick darkness. She twitched her ear to the sound she heard it sounded like... chewing. Fluttershy's coat could be made out as she came closer to her bound captive. "I'm sorry if the tape is a bit sticky on your feather but i figured it would be better than a rope's chafing. I waited till night so that nearly everypony would be asleep. I thought it would be rather dull if you slept through your own death so I also waited for that, I don't feel like waiting any longer." Fluttershy's soft tone vanished into thin air and was replaced by a much darker and gravely voice. "Are you ready to die?" Lightning Dust shivered at her tone and expression. Even though this filly was obviously deranged her face was the definition of calm, a light smile and gentle eyes looked down on her. She tried begging Fluttershy but the words remained in her mouth because of the duck tape. Fluttershy face cracked at the sounds of terror coming from Lightning Dust. "How dare you beg when you could have killed my everything. I wholeheartedly believe the world will be a better place without you." Fluttershy looked over her shoulder, temporarily hiding her expression as she spoke "She would never forgive me if she found out... I'll just have to take care of you appropriately." With that she put a hoof against Lightning Dust's side and kicked her off Cloudsdale. > Different Perspectives On Love > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fluttershy watched silently as the light blue faded into darkness, her hooves kicking wildly. Once she could stop imagining the sound of her screaming against her restraints and the image of her crying face. For a moment a small part of her felt guilty but when she thought of Rainbow Dash her heart settled and the piece of her grew silent. She took another bite of her sandwich before grimacing and throwing it away. "I guess I'm not as hungry as I thought." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lightning Dust's parents came knocking at her home a week later. "I'm sorry to bother but I-I'm looking for my daughter after leaving flight camp a few days ago she never came home. I've have the police looking for her and the city is covered in flyers but noponies seen hide her since." Mrs. Shy ushered the distraught mother in and gave her a teacup of relaxing chamomile tea. "I know that your daughter's missing but at a time like this you should run yourself raw, you need to accept help from other ponies and keep your chin up and glasses on as I always say." After having an additional cup of tea while trying to control her breathing she received a hug from my mother, thanked her, and left. Fluttershy watched the whole exchange from the staircase, part of her felt bad and a much larger part felt indifferent. Rather than remain in the house she walked over to the Hospital. "Hello miss, who are you looking for today?" A white pegasus with a bandage cutie mark asked with a gentle smile. "I'm looking for a filly my age who was brought it in with a fractured wing. Her name is Rainbow Dash" The nurse began shifting through the current patients in the hospital. When she found the name she gave directions to room 104. "Thank you very much." Fluttershy stood silently in front of Rainbow Dash's door while her mind screamed, act as if nothing has happened and maybe she won't notice. The door squeaked loudly when opened. "Hello? Oh, Fluttershy it's great to see you again." Suddenly Rainbow Dash's cheeks too on a slight pink. "Thank you for... saving my life; could you visit me everyday?" Fluttershy rushed over to the side of her bed before grabbing a stool to sit on. "I will never ever let anything hurt you and I will never ever leave you." Fluttershy rests her head on the bed while Rainbow Dash pushed Fluttershy's hair from her face. It turns out Fluttershy wasn't a very cute crier. Tears streamed and her nose ran she hiccuped and sniffled from the force of her crying. "I don't know what would happen to me if I lost you." Both fillies began crying, hugging each other all the while. Eventually they fell asleep holding hands. An hour later the door opened up to reveal a pegasus couple; they gasped when they saw the two fillies asleep with tears in their eyes. "Oh, Bow look at that. We should make a Best Friend Ever trophy for Fluttershy; I'm so glad they're both okay." Bow Hothoof walks over to them and places a small blanket over Fluttershy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fluttershy was gently awoken by someone shaking her. "Fluttershy, Fluttershy" She tried to blink the sleep from her eyes and face the unknown voice. "Good you're awake, I need to talk to you but not here, not in front of Rainbow Dash. Meet me by the entrance it's important." Fluttershy watched the shadow vanish with confusion. Who was that? Fluttershy took the blanket laying on top of her and wrapped it around her shoulders before walking out of the room. The hospital was terrifying at this time of night, a place usually filled with noise and people was deathly quiet aside from the occasional coughs that could be heard from down the hall. Fluttershy stopped at the door and peered through them. Outside a young filly stood in the light cast by a street light. The filly had bright blue hair and dark gray fur. Fluttershy cautiously left the hospital; the sound of the door closing behind her caused the filly to turn. "Good evening Fluttershy I'm Kat. I wanted to tell you some information I recently found out." Fluttershy listened closely, worried she would hear something she disliked. "Imagine my surprise when I saw a shadow out delivering mail. I was stunned when I read said mail 'If you touch her I'll rip all your teeth out. Hurt her and I'll break every bone in your body one at a time.' and most interesting of all 'Insult her and I'll cut your tongue off and watch as you choke on the blood.' I wish I could have seen those colts terrified expressions." Kat giggled, her face twisting into grotesque obsession. "Then when I saw you kick that pitiful filly off Cloudsdale and then just walking off as if you had done nothing, I loved it." Kat's eyes seemed to glow in the darkness as she gazed into Fluttershy's eyes. Fluttershy stood frozen "You're insane" She breathed. The filly's smile only widened "Everypony here is mad, you may have noticed that I'm not all there myself. Now here's what I want in exchange for my silence. You aren't allowed to resist me." "Only if you can swear to Celestia that it won't affect Rainbow Dash and that she'll never know anything about what happened." "For now, deal." And like that she was a slave to Kat's every desire, Fluttershy hoped she wouldn't be treated like a gopher. Kat raised a sock-covered hoof to her face and concentrated. "Time for my first desire... kiss me." Fluttershy nearly fell over from surprise. She rubbed at her ears confused. "You didn't mishear kiss me." Fluttershy grimaced from the thought of giving her first kiss to such a filly but the information Kat held was like a noose tied around Fluttershy's neck. She knew if she were to refuse the floor would fall out from under her. So she did as she was told. Moving close to the filly she positioned her face and moved forward. Her lips were soft and her kiss was just as gentle. When the kiss ended Kat's face was completely flushed as she tried to refocus on the world. "You're a good kisser, I'll see you at flight camp" The filly licked her lips before skipped away, humming some unknown tune. Fluttershy sat down on the pavement and looked up into the star filled sky, it was a full moon, Fluttershy asked it a question she already knew the answer to. "Just breathe Fluttershy. If anything goes wrong I can always kill her. With what I've done what's a little more blood?" > A Vow of Everlasting Love > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fluttershy had been saving money the day after Rainbow Dash accepted her confession and the two mares had started dating. Now she had saved up enough to purchase a small cloud house to live in. Secretly, she had also gone shopping for a beautiful gold bracelet that would be a perfect fit around Rainbow Dash's foreleg. "The house you picked is adorable, just don't forget that I come first" Kat stood behind Fluttershy, with a confident smirk, before walking up and placing a hoof on her shoulder. "Join me in the bedroom." It wasn't a question; she walked of with her tail swaying behind her. Fluttershy sighed before walking in the same direction. ------------------------------------------------------- Fluttershy was currently terrified, she was standing in front of Rainbow's personal heroes holding an autographed flyer and was about to ask them for a huge favor. "Hey Spitfire, do you remember me?" Spitfire stared at the yellow pegasus for a moment before she recognized the pony standing petrified. "Oh hey, it's good to see you! How's Dash been flying?" A smile quickly erupted on the mare's face. "I didn't think you were the type to come to events like this; usually, Dash has to drag you." They both chuckled at the image. "Spitfire I know this is a tad random but I was hoping you could preform a routine for Rainbow Dash that I could handle. I want to propose to her and I just know she'd love it." Fluttershy stared at Spitfire and the rest of the team with large glossy puppy dog eyes. They all stared at her in surprise "Of course!" they said in unison --------------------------------------------------------------------- Fluttershy practiced many of the more simple tricks the Wonderbolts had for weeks before inviting her special somepony to dinner at the edge of Cloudsdale. "Hey, -uh- Rainbow Dash. Would you come with me to the edge of Cloudsdale for a picnic?" Rainbow Dash took a moment from eating a rather large sandwich to mumble a mouth filled response. Once Fluttershy and Ranbow Dash had arrived she left Rainbow sitting on the yellow blanket and went to meet the Wonderbolts. Fluttershy placed the google on and flexed her wings before following after them. First she flew up beside the Wonderbolts while they did barrel rolls, leaving a trail of smoke behind them. Fluttershy's wings pumped furiously while she did her own flips. When she landed she panted hard but when she looked up she knew it was worth it. Rainbow's eyes were filled with stars and her blue fur had a little pink tinge. "Oh my Goddess, that was awesome Flutters!" The yellow pegasus swiftly walked up to her blue counterpart. Placing her hooves on her face before pulling her in for a kiss. They didn't stop kissing till they heard cheers and whistles behind them. "You two are so lovey-dovey that it's making me sick." Joked Spitfire "Besides don't you have something important to tell Rainbow?" Fluttershy's face temporarily contorted with worry before growing serious. Fluttershy moved from Rainbow Dash to reach into the wooden basket. She pulled out the bracelet carefully balancing it upon a hoof before dropping into a low bow. "W-would you be willing to spend the rest of your life with me as your one and only pony; to forever love me and allow me to return the same?" Fluttershy raised her head to her beloved with a smile rivaling the sun. Somewhere in the back of her mind she was cringing at the embarrassment of shedding tears in front of the Wonderbolts but at this moment she simply could make herself try to hide the tears flowing unhindered down her face. She opened her mouth in an attempt to make a noise resembling words. The only sounds that came out was sobbing and sniffles resembling those of a foal. Finally she chose to wave words and hugged Futtershy tightly while furiously kissing her, leaving a trail of kisses on her muzzle. Rainbow Dash's tears caused her to drink a whole pitcher of apple cider while the Wonderbolts conversed and ate the baked sweets Fluttershy had made. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy remained glued to each other. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash returned home Rainbow was quick to fall asleep with all the excitement that had previously happened. Fluttershy, however, was drawn from her tea by the sound of hooves on solid cloud. She placed her teacup on the nightstand and wandered to the front door. "Good Evening, It's very late if it isn't important could it wait till morning?" Suddenly she was snapped awake by the slight ringing in her ears. She looked up to see a hoof still mid air and the crying face of a mare. "Did you give that rainbow pegasus a wedding bracelet?" Fluttershy blank expression morphed into a scowl as her yellow skin was tinged pink. Rather than answer she simply nodded her head with a pair of fearless turquoise eyes. "How dare you; do you not understand that I own you!? When did you think that I would be okay with this." The mares face was filled with wrath she took two breaths before fixing her expression and speaking in a voice with barely suppressed rage. "I order you to end your relationship with that revolting, maggot-filled adrenaline junkie and take back that bracelet now" Kat and Fluttershy stared each other down before the later struck with the distance between them it was easy launching herself towards the pegasus and swiftly clocking her. Kat's body crumpled after the blunt force rammed into her temple easily giving her a mild concussion. Fluttershy took hold of her back legs dragging her into the living room before checking on Rainbow Dash and maneuvering the mare down the flight of stairs. Afterwards, she wrapped her body in a fabric alike to what pegasi used when racing earth ponies or unicorns. Finally chaining a hoof so her radius of movement would be bound to a circle with a diameter of six feet. She walked flew back upstairs to grab a bottle of water and left in nearby Kat so if she woke up from her concussion at least she wouldn't be thirsty. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Days passed in premarital bliss before Rainbow became curious of what Fluttershy wandered away from their bed for. Each time she heard sounds come from the living room ranging from quiet sobbing to hysterical laughter, what she thought was scariest is when Fluttershy would talk to herself as if she were having a two-pony conversation. When Fluttershy had left to go to the market after Rainbow complained about feeling like eating ratatouille she'd gone off to get the ingredients. Rainbow Had searched the house top to bottom before finding it hidden underneath her jewelry box. She walked cautiously to the door slowly putting in the key hearing each lock click into place before the door opened to reveal a staircase leading into a thick darkness. The walked down was slow as her ears stung from the numbing silence all she could her was her own breathing; until her ears perked to another. The sound of chains rattling; Her hoof groped the wall till she touched a light switch. The darkness fled from the light but remained hidden in the corners watching the scene play out. Rainbow stared at the beaten mare she often saw with Fluttershy. Her eye was bruised and swollen shut while several patches of blues and purples stuck to her dirty grey coat. The mare flinched with every breath she took she tried to take small fast breaths but it only succeeded in making her feel breathless. Rainbow's hooves felt like cement as her mind raced to understand what lay before her, her breath hitched causing the mare to lift her head and train her working eye on her. The two stared in silence before the eye moved to her right growing sad and scared. Rainbow Dash turned to look at the pony behind her; her face was a blank mask but her eyes betrayed a strange mixture of emotions: fear, anger, love, disappointment... even a small amount of pride. Before Rainbow Dash could say anything her fiance and long time friend now turned stranger spoke. "Do you really love me unconditionally?" "Fluttershy what's going on?" Rainbow felt a shiver from the expression on her face. Although a tear escaped from her eye her expression remained the same. "Do you know that I would kill for you? Anyone at all just for your pleasure. If you were to ask me to slit my own throat I would. Because I love you more then you can comprehend." "T-that's not love Fluttershy that's an obsession. I love you too, which is why I'm going to turn you in." Rainbow Dash burst into motion hurriedly breaking the lock before she was stopped by a sharp pain in her side. Fluttershy stood crying, her knife hilted in Rainbow's flesh. She flipped Rainbow onto her back before continuing. Each stab hurt less as Rainbows body grew numb. The last thing she saw before the end was Fluttershy bringing the knife up to her own neck.
