"Are you ready to begin?" A loud, static like voice asks.

"Wh...what?" Shouted a young orange mare. Her smaller, more delicate friend sat in the corner next to the door in the empty hallway. Her hooves covered her ears as she was slowly humming herself a tune. She wasn't expecting this. Nopony did.

"Are you ready to begin?!" The voice boomed again. It was distorted. Like whoever was behind the mic was trying to hide their voice, but was easily able to understand.

"Where are we?!" Applejack yelled out. Fluttershy still lay in next to the door with her eyes shut tightly.

"You are in a facility called SCP. Secure, Contain, Protect. You are test subjects in our latest foundation. You must travel down these hallways and stairs until you reach the bottom. But be warned, you will encounter events not for the weak hearted. Inside your head we have implanted a chip, in which I can communicate with you when you are further away from the speakers." The voice ended with more static, awaiting Applejacks response.

"What in the hay are you talkin' about?!" Applejack yelled out.

"No need to yell. Earlier we have attempted to use singles. A single pony. That is to uncover the secrets beyond our reach. None have survived, or even hinted their future appearance. I have chosen to use more then a single pony to uncover what is beyond this hallway. Now it is your turn to go down," again, the voice stopped. Applejack look down the hallway, she couldn't see ten feet in front of her. She looked over to Flutteryshy, and patted her with her hoof. Fluttershy looked up with tears streaming her eyes while her entire body trembled.

"You have been given enough food and water to last 24 hours. But no more. You must go now. We haven't much time." The voice boomed out again. Applejack sighed and picked up Fluttershy. Her body was heavy and her entire body was hard to keep in place because of Fluttershy's constant shaking.

"Look here sugar cube, nothin' bad is gonna happen to ya'. Not while I'm 'round here." Applejack said with a smile. But deep inside, Applejack knew that something was bound to go wrong.

"O-Okay..." Fluttershy whispered. She perked up her head and nodded, and together they walked down the hallway. Applejack nearly tripped over a single stair before Fluttershy caught her, they looked down and saw a circular turn, a flight of stairs.

"I thought you said that there were just hallways?" Applejack said.

"I didn't say that." the voice said inside Applejack's head. The chip worked...

"How far down is this place?" Applejack asked.

A few moments of static sounded through the chip before the voice began again, “We're not sure. If we did know, then you wouldn't be here.”

"Well that just makes everything lickety split." Applejack grumbled, stalking off down the stairs. Fluttershy followed her down until they reached another flight, and another flight, and another. Until they reached flight sixteen. Both ponies where exhausted from walking down so many flights of stairs, that they decided to take a break.

"How far down are you?" The voice asked.

"I... I guess floor six... sixteen... or somethin' like that." Applejack gasped out. Fluttershy was looking at her wings, which had been clipped together so that she couldn't fly.

Fluttershy's ears perked up, and her face scrunched up in worry.

"Do you hear that?"

"H-Hear wha'?" Applejack asked.

"It sounds like someponies crying."

"That's good." The voice suddenly said. Fluttershy squeaked at the sudden voice.

"I thought you got used to voices inside your head? Ha ha ha." The voice chuckled. It was loud and distorted and gave Applejack a headache.

"How far down does it sound?" The voice asked.

"'Scuse me?" Applejack said.

"HOW FAR DOWN DOES IT SOUND?!" The voice boomed, clearly impatient.

"I don't know! Please stop! Please!!" Fluttershy yipped out loudly, echoing down the halls, she was cradled in the fetal position. This was too much for her.

"Look a' her! Whoever you are, your traumitizing the poor girl! Let us outta here now!" Applejack demanded.

"That is none of my concern." The voice said coldly.

"Actually, it is because you brought us here!" Applejack growled at herself.

"Keep going down. When you reach floor 32, tell me if the crying sounds any closer or further. This type of information is important." The voice said.

"Fine..." Applejack snorted.

"Now keep going. We've got more work to do." The voice said.

Applejack wondered why only her and Fluttershy where trapped in who knows where. She looked back on Fluttershy who's head was down and was whimpering. Applejack stopped, and slowly approached Fluttershy.

"Are you okay sugar cube?" Applejack asked, nervousness clouding her voice. Applejack raised her head, she could have sworn she saw something looking at them through the darkness. Fluttershy looked at Applejack with worried eyes.

"I'm scared..." She whimpered.

"It's fine... just... follow me." Applejack said. She started up the stairs, instead of down the stairs like the mysterious voice told them to.

The voice suddenly burst through the speakers, this time clearly angry, “What the buck do you think you're doing?”

"I thought I saw somethin'" Applejack said. She tried her best to sound brave, but couldn't control her shaking.

"Turn around and keep going down! No use for any actions such as going up! You must keep going down."

"No." Applejack said determingly. The voice groaned in frustration.

"Do you want to know what floor you're on? Is that? Because your only on floor 20. KEEP. GOING." The voice said angrily.

"Fine... but if I see somethin' unusual, I'm goin' after it." Applejack said, turning around. She saw Fluttershy, with the figure behind her.

"Fluttershy! Look out!" Applejack yelled, Fluttershy swiftly turned around, just missing the face dissapear. Applejack's eyes were wide. She saw the entire face... it wasn't a normal, regular pony face she saw. Something about it's nose, eyes, and mouth looked different to her.

"Wha-What is it?!" Fluttershy yelped, she ran over to Applejack, cowering behind her. The voice chuckled.

"What in the hey are you laughin' about?" Applejack demanded.

"Just keep going." It said.

---~---

Floor 32. They had finally reached it without encountering whatever that "thing" was.

"Does the crying sound any closer?"

"No."

...

"At least under 200 meters."

Applejack cocked her head to the side, Fluttershy hadn't said anything the entire way down, neither had Applejack. She turned around, making sure Fluttershy was still with her. She was gone. Applejack's heart began to race."

"Wha... Where's Fluttershy?!" Applejack stammered, looking around franticly.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." The voice said. It chuckled... that damn.. distorted... voice... it made Applejack furious.

"WHO ARE YA?!" Applejack screamed, her voice echoed down the seemingly endless hallways. It made Applejack feel uneasy.

"That is none of your concern. You will find your little friend soon enough. Now turn around, and keep going." The voice said, it felt cold... demanding...

Applejack turned around, breathing hard and fast. She couldn't stop thinking about Fluttershy, the poor mare... when she came face to face... with the thing. It stared at her for a few seconds... Applejack was frozen in horror. She could see know what had made the creature so... different.

It was like the thing had another layer of skin, covering it's eyes, mouth, and nose. Like the extra layer was suffocating whatever was under it. Yet it didn't have an extra layer of skin... it just covered the eyes... the nose... and the mouth. It opened it's skin covered mouth slowly, and closed it. Backing away from the horrified Applejack, it vanished in the darkness. Leaving Applejack alone in the hallway.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" Applejack screeched, she began dashing up the stairs, back to floor zero. She saw the numbers dash behind her, 31, 30, 29, 28, 27...

Applejack grew tired, and sat down for a few minutes while looking down at the ground. When Applejack looked up, the thing was looking at her again, barely visible in the pitch black darkness. Before the body was covered in the darkness but AJ could see it's full form. The pony thing didn't have any hair, it was completely naked, it looked as though rough skin had covered every inch of the creatures body. Even the tail was confined in the layer that the skin covered. It approached Applejack slowly, making loud, clopping noises as it's "hooves" pressed up against each stair step.

"Wha..." Applejack stammered, she began to develop a massive headache.

"HELP!" She screamed out. The voice turned on again.

"I see you've encountered P0N-13." The voice said.

"Get me outta here!" Applejack yelled, P0N-13 slowly approaching her. Applejack began to scoot back, but when she looked behind her, her backside collided with a flat wall. It had transformed. She was cornered.

"You should have kept going, and never taken an eye off of your friend." The voice said. The distortion began to fade, the true voice was emerging!

"Get me outta here! Please! I won't do anythin'!" Applejack pleaded. The voice snickered, the distortion completely gone... revealing the voice behind Applejack's trouble.

"Nothing can be done now." The voice said.

“Y-You! I thought-... why would ya'll do this?!” Applejack said with a jolt. P0N-13 was almost ten feet away from Applejack, it opened it's mouth, and closed it... it continued the process until it's head was pressed up against hers. Applejack fought back tears...

"I've got responsibilities you know, maybe... with him... you'll understand." the voice said. Applejack heard a beeping sound, and felt a surge of electric energy blast through her skull, it faded. The chip had destroyed itself inside Applejack's head. The last thing Applejack saw was the skin over the mouth ripping, revealing thousands of sharp, pointed teeth that would filled P0N-13's entire throat as far as AJ could see. Applejack fainted as she felt her skin being ripped off her face.
