"Come on D!," said Akiko as the two ran through the forest. "Sun's setting soon and we gotta watch the Sprite migration!"

"But what is so fun about dumb plain flying pixie ponies?," said Discord, rolling his eyes. "I rather prank the ponies in Canterlot."

"Oh come on!," said Akiko, grabbing her younger brother and running up the hill. "Try a change for once! You might just like it!" Discord groaned at his sister's insistence. What could be so fun about watching little ponies fly? At last they arrived at the top of the hill, Akiko placing Discord besides her.

"Now quiet! You don't wanna scare the little guys!," whispered Akiko.

"If I scare them, can I go back to pranking?," asked Discord, a mischievous grin on his face.

"Oh stop it!," said Akiko with an unamused face. Then her ears perked up, and she beamed. "It's time!"

The sun set, as darkness began to take over. Discord wasn't much of a fan of the dark. Sure anything could happen but he was mostly scared of being left alone. Luckily, with his elder sister by his side he wasn't completely scared. So he just sighed, blowing the tuff of white mane from his eyes as he watched ahead. Suddenly, lights began to shine across the night sky of all colors. Discord's eyes widened in awe.

"It's incredible!," whispered Discord, mouth hanging open. "No patterns and, so many colors!"

"See told ya!," said Akiko then quickly covered her mouth as a few Sprites got jumped and flew away. "Oops," whispered the female draconequus smiling.

"And you say I mess things up!," said Discord, playfully punching his sister on her arm.

"That was just once!," Akiko smirked. "At least I don't get cotton candy all over my face when I eat it!" Discord have a playful growl as he tackled his sister to the ground.

"So?," he said giving off a playful sneer. "I'm not the one about to be defeated!"

"As if," said Akiko then turned Discord over and started tickling him.

"Hey!," said Discord between laughs. "No-, fair!"

"All's fair in love and war," said Akiko smirking.

Discord smiled as he teleported on top of her and hugged her smiling. "Then is it fair if I turn you to a vulnerable pillow?" Akiko chuckled and hugged back.

"I think you're already a soft huggable pillow," she said and they both laughed.

Discord awoke with a start, struggling not to let tears make way towards his eyes. It had been years since his sister had gone missing, years since he had snapped, years since.... He had lost control. Most of the time, he found fun spreading chaos or having fun with the scared ponies. Thought it was priceless, it never truly made him happy. Sometimes he would look into the distant, and remember his sister. Her soft aqua eyes which always warmed him up. Her soothing voice she used to sing him lullabies to calm him after nightmares. Her soft fur whenever she hugged him...

'Oh stop it Discord! Can't you see she's gone?!' a voice in his head told him. He'd be lying if he said he didn't like the whole Lord of Chaos thing or terrorizing ponies. It was rather fun to drive them insane or apart. Plus overthrowing the princesses was oh so much fun! However, sometimes his heart which was as cold as stone, would have a leak or two whenever he thought about Akiko. Her soft hair, her soothing voice, her curious and brave character. It was Akiko who took care of him when his parents had died. It was her who protected him from everything and made sure he didn't get into serious trouble.

'So what if she was all nice!' said the voice in his head. 'She left you! Plus she wouldn't even love you anymore if she found out who you were!'

"That's not true!," said Discord too himself. "Akiko would always love me! I bet she just can't find me." Well that was ridiculous. After all his chaos wasn't hard to miss, literally.

"Well it doesn't matter anyways, I don't need anyone but my glorious chaos!" And with that he disappeared in a flash, reappearing back on his throne that overlooked the city of what once was Canterlot. Discord chuckled as a mare ran from giant bunnies and laughed as two ponies were fused together and tried to separate, only to fail and fall right on their faces. But his happiness didn't last long...

Many moons ago...

"You don't belong here!," a bulky stallion had said to a cornered Discord, who had some bruises due to being beaten up by the school bullies again. "You're nothing but a freak and a monster!"

"Yeah I bet he's going to one day betray us all!" said the other. Tears streamed down the young draconequus face. He wanted to fight back, but he was a afraid that would only prove them right, and he didn't want that. "So maybe we should just make sure he doesn't!"

They closed in, Discord clenched his eyes closed waiting for another blow, but heard screaming from the bullies. "You guys talk about him being a monster, when the one attacking a six year old are you!," he heard the familiar voice of his elder sister say. He opened his eyes to find the bullies running away in fear, swearing they wouldn't go near him again.

"Discord you okay?!," asked Akiko worried as she pulled him into a hug, healing him with her magic.

"Y-,y-,yeah... Just a few hits eh?," said Discord, faking a smile.

"I'm serious Discy," said Akiko with concern. Discord sighed and let a few tears fall as he hugged his sister tightly, not wanting to let go of her embrace. "Come on, let's go home."

***************

"Uggh!," said Discord as both his paw and talon clenched his head. "Must block out these stupid memories!" He hated having to feel feelings. He wasn't that small child who cried for everything. He was the Lord of Chaos who ruled with a chaotic fist and took joy in others' suffering. He then made bears with tutus dance ballet and turned some ponies to puppets, toying with them. He smiled at this and started laughing, it was priceless. He made a cotton candy cloud appear and poured chocolate milk from it into a glass. However as he drank it another memory came to him.

**********

Discord was looking through the small cottage he and his sister lived in, trying to find Akiko. "Akiko this isn't funny," said Discord. "I'm the one who gives you the pain to find me not you!"

He went upstairs, and opened his room door, only to have a bucket of chocolate milk poured on him. Akiko laughed at this, kicking her legs as she laid on the floor.

"Hey!," said Discord annoyed. "Only I can prank you!"

"Get used to the competition my bundle of chaos," said Akiko as she laughed. Discord smirked then made cotton candy appear on her as Akiko watched.

"Ohhh..... Right....," she said as cotton candy poured on top of her, sticking to every part of her body. "Discord come on!"

"It's called revenge dear sister," he replied, flying up to par her head. Akiko chuckled and grabbed Discord, pulling him into the cotton candy laughing.

"Hey!," said Discord annoyed.

"It's called revenge dear brother," replied Akiko with a smirk. They both giggles and hugged. "I love you my sweet little cotton candy, no pun intended."

"I love you too sis," said Discord giggling.

***********

Discord banged himself towards a wall in the castle he now called home. Why wouldn't those pesky memories just go away? His heart was as cold as stone and he was the Lord of Chaos! He didn't feel any other feeling but joy for disorder and disharmony!

"Why won't these dumb memories just leave?!," growled Discord under his breath. He didn't want the memories anymore! His sister would have come if she had really loved him! And she didn't do that meant he shouldn't care for her anymore.

With that he teleported out of there, making the flags which were decorated with himself on them, fly off to the ground. He reappeared back on his throne, making a bag of seeds for plunder vines appear on his paw, and started eating them, throwing a few to the ground. They tasted pretty good, well he did practically eat anything though.

"Make sure not to eat glass you'll cut yourself," Akiko always told him. "It's better if you just stick to normal food, even if you can practically eat anything."

"Uggh! Just stop it brain!," scowled Discord. "I am better off without her!" Just then, his eyes caught sign of two blue and white figures in the distance, approaching him. Much to his surprise, it was none other than Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. They looked all scratched up, which caused Discord to chuckle a bit.

"Oh this is so much fun, how about a game of pin the tail on the pony?," said Discord as he pulled out Celestia's tail. Her reaction was hilarious in Discord's opinion. Still they looked so serious, well they weren't much fun anyways.

"Playtime is over for you Discord!," bellowed Princess Celestia.

Discord mentally laughed at this, did they really think they could stop him? "Oh I doubt that," he said, throwing some of his seeds here and there, as well as eating some in the process. "Oh this is great! Hungry?"

His offer made no falter on the dead serious expressions on both sisters' faces. He remembered how serious his sister was whenever he tried to change the subject after he got in trouble. Don't think about it now! the voice in his head told him. "Suit yourself," said Discord shrugging, throwing more of the seeds inside his mouth.

He saw the sisters pull out colored gems from their saddlebags. They looked familiar, where had he seen them before. "Ooh what have you got there?," asked Discord, dropping the bag of plunder vines to the ground.

"The Elements of Harmony," replied Princess Celestia as the gems whirled around creating a sort of purple shield on the sisters. Elements of Harmony? thought Discord. I know I heard that from somewhere.

"With them we shall defeat you!," he heard Princess Luna bellow.

Discord fell back laughing at this. How could little trinkets defeat him? Now he remembered, those jewels held power of friendship and all that mushy stuff. How could any of that stop him? "You should see yourselves now!," he said, pointing to the dead serious expressions both princesses had. "The expressions on your faces! So intense! So sure of yourselves!"

He laughed and continued laughing, not noticing what the Elements were doing. "Hilarious!," he said, as something hit him. He couldn't move his legs, then his lower body, something was happening! He opened his eyes, horror grew on them. His lower body was being turned to stone! He tried to teleport away but he couldn't! The stone kept spreading and he tried to move from the rainbow blast. If his sister were here he wouldn't be in this situation! Why did she have to leave? Why didn't she come back?! Did she not care anymore? Did she not love him? Or.. what if she didn't come back because she couldn't.... What if she couldn't come back because she...

Tears welled up in Discord's eyes, the want and need to escape now gone, replaced by grief. All this time, his ignorance and desire had blinded him from the possibility that he wouldn't see his sister ever again not because she didn't love him, but because her life was taken. But it couldn't be possible! Akiko was the strongest being Discord had ever known... Yet... What if...

And if she did, there was no point in escaping. So he shut his eyes, and let the spell take it's course, a final tear dropping to the ground but it was unnoticed by everyone. So Discord just stood there, nothing but a statue, as his heart who's last warmth had only been due to the hope of seeing his dear sister again vanish.

A few years later...

Discord stood in the Canterlot Gardens but didn't exactly know that. After all, as an idiot he had been, he had shut his eyes when he was being turned to stone. All because he had been an ignorant fool. Not to worry he thought. Sooner or later I will escape and return Equestria to it's natural chao-

"Discord...?," said a female voice. His thoughts interrupted, his ears would've perked up if they could due to hearing that voice. A voice which was so familiar. But why would anyone wanna see him? No one even cared about him. Yet that voice seemed so familiar, but he couldn't quite grasp who it could belong to.

"N-,n-,no... This is all my fault...," he heard her say, and heard her as she dropped to the ground and started.... Crying..? Okay why would anyone cry over him? He caused restless chaos so why would any pony, this mare cry over him?.

"I never should've left you my sweet little cotton candy...," the voice said as she cried even more. That's when Discord's mind snapped back. That voice belonged to... Akiko... Discord wanted to reach out and hug his beloved sister, tell her he wasn't gone. But she wouldn't hear him would she? Discord's heart started to hurt so much, he had pushed away his feelings for far too long.

"Don't worry, I'll find a way to free you," said Akiko as Discord felt her touch his petrified paw. "I-,I promise bud..." She placed her head on his paw, Discord guessed. Then, she started singing her lullaby again, she must've sensed his emotions, which was Akiko's sixth sense. He smiled at the soothing voice he had missed so much. He wanted so badly to just break free and let his sister hold him in her arms. He just wanted to go back! He had learned his lesson why, why wouldn't the spell go away?! Why couldn't he just break free?! What did he have to do to break free?! Why couldn't Princess Celestia just throw him in Tartarus or just drain him of his magic?! Why, why did she make him suffer? Discord's heart ached so much from all the sadness in him. He just wanted to hug his big sister, even if it had to be the last thing he did! He just wanted to apologise and tell her how much he loved and missed her.

"I loved you my sweet little brother," said Akiko crying.

"I love you too sis..," said Discord, but Akiko couldn't hear him of course. But if she could, if she just could by so e wild connection or maybe she could sense it, he wanted to let her know. "And I always will. And this wasn't your fault but mine, so please don't carry this on your shoulders... Please..."

Then, something happened, the stone began to crack, Discord started feeling the ability to move. However, when it was gone he couldn't get off the post. He was stuck, which meant the Elements had given a chance to speak, really speak to his sister. "Kiki...?," said Discord, calling her by the nickname he used for her.

"D-, Discord!," yelled Akiko and hugged him tightly. Discord smiled and hugged back, warmth in his heart finally coming back. Tears streamed down on both of the siblings faces. "I never should've left you... I'm so sorry Discy."

"Don't blame yourself...," said Discord smiling warmly, but it didn't last long for a frown appeared on his face. "I brought this on myself... I'm the one who should be apologizing... Please don't blame yourself! Please..."

Akiko hugged her little brother tightly. "I won't, I promise. And I won't ever leave you again, no matter what." Discord felt more tears stream down his cheeks of both joy and sadness. Joy that he saw his sister again and was hugging her. But, sadness because he knew it wouldn't last long. And as if on command, he felt his legs turn to stone.

"Discord what's going on?!," said Akiko when she saw this, her aqua eyes widened in terror.

"I'm sorry but... This is the price I have to pay...," said Discord, sobs chocking his voice. "You need to leave now!"

"I won't leave you alone again!," said Akiko, hugging Discord. "We stick together no matter what. I made you a promise and I never break a promise!"

"Sister please!," cried Discord, seeing as how the stone began spreading to her. Akiko smiled at him, her aqua eyes shining by the moonlight as she wiped his tears with her tail.

"Don't cry Discord, you know you'll always be in my heart," said Akiko with a warm smile. She used the words she used for her lullabies, making more tears stream down his cheeks. He felt guilt, because now his sister would have to suffer because if him. He felt Akiko hug him again. "And don't you dare feel guilty," she said. "I will always be with you, and if anyone says anything else I will beat them to a pulp."

Discord chuckles at this, smiling. The both hugged and got stoned that way. But, at least they were together and that was all that mattered. If they did get free, they would do it together. If Discord wanted to rule Equestria in complete chaos, hopefully Akiko might join. The idea made him laugh a bit.

"You aren't planning any mischief right?," said Akiko sternly.

"Maybe...," said Discord giggling.

"Oh what am I going to do with you?," said Akiko. They both laughed together, their embrace both figuritively and literally unbreakable.

*********

Princess Celestia smiled as she watched them both from the bushes. The Elements had old them of Discord's pain and wanted to change back. And seeing both siblings in so much pain, made Celestia remember the pain she felt and still does, when she banished her dear little sister Luna to the moon a year ago. Maybe she and Luna had acted to cruel on immediately using the Elements on Discord, not knowing why he had caused his chaos. Maybe Luna had felt the same pain, feeling that no pony loved her beautiful nights. So as she watched the two siblings turn to stone two hearts that could never be separated. She also saw that Discord wasn't at all heartless like she had thought. Maybe one day, when the Elements fit them ready they would be able to break free and continue with their lives. Till them she would make sure they stayed that way.

After all, it be a nightmare having to Chaos gods ruling Equestria wouldn't it? 'Well at least they'd be together' thought Celestia. Then she spread her wings and flew back to her room, smiling a sad smile as she watched the mare silloute on the gorgeous moon.
