Life is a fleeting thing, isn't it? Something that can so easily be destroyed. Whether with the end of one story, or just another chapter. Thankfully, where there's an end, there's always a beginning. Where a story ends, another begins. My story ended along with my previous life. This is just the beginning of another.
Earth December 31st, 2017 11:45 P.M. Pov: Cape
Ahhh.... 2017, the year that was a gigantic royal pain in the rear. Good thing it is almost over so we can have 2018 to replace it. I hope it will be a good year (here's to North Korea not nuking us). Now about me... I am a guy in my mid-twenties with light skin and dark brown hair. I am a YouTuber/star wars fan/ nerd(?)/ (Closet brony) and live in the forest all alone
Anyways as I was saying (thinking or whatever) I am just crazy bored so while I wait for the year to end I get my butt off my couch and go outside to enjoy the view of the stars, a personal hobby of mine that I enjoyed since I was young(er), as well as take a breath of air out of the stuffy, small, cabin that I call home, and use as a base of my YouTube operations( what I wanted a Job that pays well if you do good at it and dont need to go anywhere to do it).
After a few Minutes of clearing my mind with the fresh air, I begin the mental exercise that I have been perfecting so that I could actually try to use the force of something (hey, you never know unless you try!)
I mutter to myself "reach out with your mind and feel the world with your mind"(kinda like "I am one with the force, the force is with me" from rouge one). Once I have begun to reach out I hear something that I can't quite understand."wish for the next shooting star and it will come true" the strange voice said to me. That made me one, jump out of my skin, 2, I totally didn't scream like a little girl, three, question life the universe and everything which the answer to is 42. I opened my eyes and saw a shooting star and made the wish to get to go There, become the OC that I created and have all of his powers. I also did this with every shooting star that I saw since I first created my OC.

As the chanting begins counting down, I began to feel the tingling that was everywhere. "Ten..." I obviously joined in the chanting, because why not. "Nine... Eight... Seven... Six... Five..." At this point the tingling was in places I didn't know could tingle and I began worrying. "Four..." Now I felt like I was gonna pass out. "Three... Two... On-" I never heard the end because the entire world went dark.
Equestria Unknown year Unknown location "Hmm..." Says Discord, "this one will do... Let's send him to... this year and... This small town... Yes, this will be entertaining... For me" he says that last part with an evil chuckle as he faces Celestia and Luna, both wielding the Elements of Harmony, About to seal him in stone, not knowing what he has just done.
Equestria December 31, 3017 11:30 PM. The evening was full of life and parties all over Equestria as well as the rest of the world but none as big as the Ponyville New Year's Eve party (hosted by pinkie pie of course)
As the ponies are getting ready for the end of the year party, Twilight realized she was forgetting something.
"Um, girls?"
"What is it, Twi'?" said AJ
"I feel like I'm forgetting something important"
Earlier that day In the Crystal Castle, Ponyville "I need you to remind me to add an invite to the princesses even though I send one every year." said the Past Twilight.
Each of the ponies has their own form of agreement from 'will do' to 'Ah'm on it'(you got 2 guesses on who said that).
Back to present "Ooh I know!!!" said Pinkie
"what is it, Pinks?" said AJ
"Twilight needs to send an invite to the princesses, even though she sends one every year and they will come to the party every year anyways"
Twilight never heard that last part because she was she was hyperventilating.
"How could I have forgotten!?!?!"
"There is no need to freak out, Twilight. We were going to come to the party anyways." said a Celestia walking into the hall where the party is.
Luna walks in wearing headphones and is holding a game system in her magic. "the fun has been doubled!"
Outside Ponyville A swirling blue portal appears (like in the game portal only it is floating) a slightly injured form falls out, with only a small round cylinder with intricate designs all over sitting beside him.
Back at the party
Discord was making the fireworks setup as his body looked like jello. "so, it's finally time..."
Trixie looked at him with a strange look, only to shrug it off as the clock was nearing zero. All over Equestria, the counting down could be heard in perfect synchronization.
"5...4...3...2..."
Back with Cape
"5..." What is happening? Didn't I already do this? "4..." ahh screw it I'm willing to bet its something outta Life is Strange and I'm leaving it at that. "3... 2..." As Kwebbelkob says... LEETS DOOO THIS!!! "ONE"
Around the world, the phrase "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!" resounded as 3017 ended and 3018 began.
"Three... Two... On-"*darkness/next scene with discord on throne* "Yes, this will be entertaining... For me" *next scene with discord at the party* "so, it's finally time..." *next scene* "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!"
When Cape awakened, he found himself with unfamiliar surroundings. This would make any normal person have a mini-freak-out but he isn't normal, he brings joy, adventure, and fun with him anywhere he goes. So, he is staring at nowhere in particular thinking 'did I leave the stove on?'. For the next few minutes, he doesn't notice that he has A pink party pony, lavender Alicorn and a baby dragon waiting for him to notice that he is not alone.
"Who is that? I don't recognize this pony at all and we would know if there is a new prince", Said Twilight.
"Maybe he's not from Equestria and he is going to save us all from certain doom", said Pinkie.
"Pinkie you're so random," Said Twilight.
"Of course I am, I'm Pinkie Pie" exclaimed the hyperactive party pony
"I think he's waking up," said Spike.
Pov switch: 1st person/pony
At this, he instantly snapped out of his mental reboot and said calmly, "I have a really bad feeling about this"
"About what?" said the confused young drake.
"All of this-" Cape was cut off by the sensation of teleportation "- Wait... Where are we now?"
"Canterlot castle, specifically the Throne room." said an Alabaster Alicorn from across the Throne room. "My question for you is, Who are you"
"Ahem, My name is-" I began to say as I was Once again cut off from finishing my sentence.
"Sister, we have news that there is another Alicorn in Equestria and we must meet them at once!" said Luna, with a frazzled mane.
"He's already here, Luna, and you might want to fix your mane... it's a little bit... frazzled" said 'Luna's older sister.
"Eh... Excuse me one second" there was the trademark sound of teleportation as Luna vanished in a flash. Only for her to return in a few seconds later in full royal regalia and her mane is flowing just like the white one. " I'm back 'Tia"
"ok, let's get back to questions" 'Tia' said.
"as I was saying, My name is..."I paused to think for a second. my name in this form is Astral Spirit, but my name is ***** which do I choose...? "Astral Spirit," I said, hoping for the questions to come to a quick end.
"Ah, a very subtle sense of humor, I see. Well, I need to know your ambitions and if they are pure, then I shall have you sign some paperwork to make you a citizen. But, to be thorough in the intentions we need to go into your dreams and ask some personal questions where nopony can interrupt."She said as Luna just nodded.
"Wait... my dreams are very unstable and constantly changing... not really fit for royalty to go into... you can understand, right?" I said, slightly unsure of the results of the dream walking.
"We will respect your privacy, and only attempt to make sense of the situation," said Luna.
"I'm still unsure but, might as well give it a shot," I said, slightly skeptical of this whole thing.
"Are you ready?" said Celestia, igniting her horn with a bright yellow aura.
"As ready as I'll ever be," I said, feeling a slight amount of unease.
"Ok Luna, get ready" Celestia sent a small beam connecting her horn, mine, and Luna's. The next thing I saw was darkness and then light.
All around me was a field, not unlike the one near my home. I suddenly somehow sensed a presence near me, a powerful one.
"Is this what it looks like at your home?" said Luna, filled with curiosity.
"Huh, it worked..." I said
"yes, now let the questions begin," Luna said, a bench appearing for her to sit on.
"What do you need to know?" I said.
"Simple things such as your intentions and other things of the like," she said
"Wait for a second... where's Celestia?" I said, realizing that she has yet to enter my dreams.
"She is keeping an eye on us, to make sure nothing bad happens during our conversation."
"ah, ok I will answer anything that you need, with the exception of some private topics," I said, her previous statement makes sense now that I think about it.
"Let's get straight to the point. are you in any way wanting to harm any of my subjects" she said.
"Not unless I am provoked," I replied without hesitation.
"Hmm... logical. next question. Are you seeking permanent residence in Equestria?" she continued.
"Seeing as I have no idea where I am or how I might get back, I might be here forever, or it can be something that only lasts a week. At this point, there's no telling." I explained
"We will work towards finding you a way home."
many questions later...
"You are officially a citizen of Equestria!" Luna exclaimed. The dream ended and went white.
"Welcome back to the world of the waking." said a motherlike voice, that I later discovered was Celestia after opening my eyes.
"Did *yawn* I do a good?" I said, sleepiness disappearing quickly. My comment earned a slight giggle from Celestia.
"It seems you have, Astral. But where did you come from? And what government system is used by your home country?"
"A place possibly billions of miles away known as the United States of America on a planet known locally as Earth. And the government there is a Democracy," I explained.
"Well we have countries here that have democracies but they are far and few between, but they are predicted to flourish within the next century."
"Some do, some don't. It all depends on how well made they are at the start." I said, starting to get distracted. Many questions were made and stories were shared as the two bonded, albeit unknowingly, and in the span of a few hours the two went from total strangers to best friends.
"Maybe I can get you a room for you to stay in, as it is quite late" Celestia suggested. I agreed as it was going to be sunset soon, according to my internal clock.
Later...
Arriving at the room, I thanked the guard who led me here and headed inside. And I have to say that this is the biggest room that I have ever been offered. Little did I know what lied in store for me in the morning
*next scene with throne room* " Who are you" "I am Astral Spirit" *Next scene with Luna in dream* "You're now officially a citizen of Equestria!" *next scene* "Welcome back to the world of the waking." "Did I do a good?" "It seems you have, Astral."
I woke up to the smell of pancakes permeating my room. I instantly knew that I needed to get to them before somepony eats them and I get none. On the way to the bedroom, I had passed the dining hall, so I knew my way around the castle. With my goal in mind, I went on my way slightly running in places to increase the chances that I get the delicious food. Unknown to me, I had plenty of time to get there, as the staff was feeding the WHOLE castle.
As I entered the dining hall, I noticed the Royal sisters eating pancakes, right beside them was a fresh plate that I assumed was for me. I walked up to the table and greeted both of the sisters.
"Hello, Celestia. Hi, Luna." I greeted them both, earning a response from the both of them.
"Good Morning, Astral. I assume you slept well." was the response from Celestia.
"I sure did!" I replied, seeing as the previous night was the best I had slept in years.
"The dream realm remained calm last night," Luna said, taking a sip of her drink. We ate in silence for a few minutes until I noticed something.
"Yet you seem exhausted." I pointed out, making Celestia giggle.
"Night court was exhausting" was her response.
"Well, hope you sleep well," I said, noting when Celestia said Luna is a night pony.
"Good day," said Luna as she left, no doubt for her bedchambers.
"What's the schedule?" I asked Celestia.
"Well, as for you, there is a medical checkup to make sure you are in perfect condition. Once that is done, you shall board a train to Ponyville. When you arrive, my student will introduce you to the town and help you get a job." she explained. I nodded, finishing the last of the delicious food.
"Well, seeing as I am full, I will head over to the doctor for that checkup. Then, I will head over to Ponyville. By the way, was that purple mare whom I had encountered yesterday your student?" I returned. She nodded with a smile.
"Yes, and I have arranged for her to help you get settled into the small town." was her reply. After some more confirmations of the day's plans, I set out for the day. The doctor's office was much less stressful than I initially expected, the staff was much faster than back home (taking almost 3 hours for a checkup), the checkup consisted of an x-ray, some blood tests, and a magic test. As it turns out, I possess levels over 9000 (heh). The doctor's sent my paperwork into a tube(which I assume go to either the other hospital in ponyville, the filing room, or to Celestia herself!)
Arriving at the Train station, I noticed ponies that were beginning to crowd around me, no doubt because I am an Alicorn, as I boarded the train with a ticket Celestia gave me. It turns out that she let me use a private car, no doubt her's.
Man, this car is huge!!! I mean, I could fit 2 of my car in here... with the furniture and all. My thoughts drifted towards home during the long ride. I started thinking about the computers that were left behind. pop!
"What was that?" I ask as I turn around to find... My Computer? Yes, my computer is somehow here. Rember, you have more power than you realize. "Who said that?" I asked out loud. There was no reply, so I continued to stare at my cuboid gaming computer.
"Next stop, Ponyville!!!" yelled a conductor. I must have been staring deep into thought longer than I had expected. Shortly later, the train arrived at the station. I had, at that time figured out that I could make various things appear and disappear with my powers.
Departing the train, I made everything I summoned disappear, as if the items never existed in the first place. Waiting at the station was the lavender alicorn that I had come to know as Celestia's student. She began speaking to me.
"How was the ride back? Comfortable, I assume?"
"Sure was, also discovered a cool power I have!" I replied, with enthusiasm.
"WHAT!?!" she screamed, "We must figure out why you are here and even get you home so-"I cut her off with a hoof to her mouth
"Stop right there. We Will figure this out. And I will make sure to be as much of a help as I can." My statement seemed to calm her, to some extent, and with that, we headed to the giant crystal tree/castle.
"Spike!? I'm back, and I brought a visitor." Twilight yelled into the vast hallways of the castle.
"I'm in the kitchen!" shouted a voice from afar. Twilight turned to me.
"Well, let's get to work." I nodded and followed Twilight, not at all staring at her backside for a moment.
Arriving at the library, Twilight said she was going to search the deep archives, I was free to look around. There were shelves with more books than the library of Congress back home. I had decided to go to the beginner's magic section to learn how to channel my new powers.
Hours later.
"I found something!!!" Exclaimed twilight as she teleported over, completely breaking my focus and the small lamp that I had managed to lift. I quickly replaced it with one same to the one broken, so that she wouldn't notice. It seems that I wasn't fast enough since she had noticed my mistake and immediately started with her questions and concerns for safety. I had remembered the powers that my OC has, so, I summoned a book that detailed technology of the human race. Might have broken her, because she is now reading through and taking notes to compare with their tech... the book has diagrams and will keep her occupied for the rest of the day.
Off in the distance, I heard a faint voice."You will get a party, and you will like it!"me, being the idiot that I am, Ignored this warning as being tired. That train ride had taken all day and there was a plate of sandwiches on the table. I took one, saving one for Twilight, and fell asleep on the surprisingly comfy bench next to it, unaware of the events the next day held.
Trust is a confusing thing. It seems so simple, but it can be so elusive when you try to pin it down.

After another peaceful night's sleep, my vision is covered by a fluffy pink wall. I find that Pinkie Pie is sleeping in the library for some reason. I promptly run to the kitchen and hide.
"Astral!!! Where are you?!" I heard the voice that I quickly dubbed the hyperactive chipmunk. I, forgetting survival skills for basically any horror game, replied.
"Not in the Kitchen!" The moment those words left my lips, I regretted every part of my being.
"Okie!!!" the voice replied as it became more distant. I became frozen in disbelief as she snuck up to the kitchen, the almost silent sound of her hooves getting closer to the cabinet that I had hidden in. Quickly snapping out of my stupor, I had to prepare myself for the coming jumpscare.
Clip, clop, clip clop CLIP, CLOP. Creak
"Iiiit's Pinkie!!!" said the voice, now identified as Pinkie. I had just enough time to set up a teleport to Twilight (I somehow typed with hooves!!!) I hit enter as Pinkie was opening the cabinet I was in the world quickly moved around me to show the dining room. Back in the room, Pinkie stood there with a confused/betrayed look on her face.
As I teleported into the room, I hear a group of girly screams and a series of flashes. It turns out I was not only hit with a stun spell but also a freeze spell, as I am currently encased in a block of ice. The ice didn't affect me all that much, just minor discomfort, almost like cartoon logic saved me.

I'm still cold, though.
Why are they staring and moving their mouths without sound? It seems sound doesn't come through this ice. Oh, there is that pink one. I'm already bored, "let me out already," I had internally screamed when a crack formed. It was subtle at first, but it grew, eventually consuming the entire block. For a brief second, time seemed to stand still. In that brief moment, I saw the ice reflect a beautiful prismatic shower as it fell. It was almost as if, for that moment, the beauty of it all had me entrapped. But, like all good things, it had to end.
Afterward, I mentally logged the event as a 'moment of beauty' and said, "Thanks for finally warming up to me." All except for Pinkie groaned at the pun.
"Hiya!" she said (more accurately shouted), "I finally caught up to you after the filler/chase scene earlier. It also took the author over three months to get this far."
"Wait," I said, "there is an author?"
"Yupperonie, lots of worlds have them, it just so happens that this one has many and that the multiverse has billions spread through just a few of them," she said, without much concern to the looks on the group's faces.
"Well, with that said... let's just move on to more important matters," I said, not questioning Pinkie's antics, mostly to protect my sanity. "We need to focus on figuring out why I was sent here and if/when I could get back home." Dang, I seem to have been more serious than I initially wanted.
"We will find a way to get you home," says Twilight in a comforting tone. She is starting to walk towards me slowly, almost not noticeable unless you were paying close attention.
I pull out my console command/chatbox keyboard and start typing, not realizing I had shifted my hooves into hands, /tp @p I noticed a long list of names that hovered above my command query, a few words caught my attention: Flame_Metal, Moonshine, Jake_from_statefarm, Phill_Swift, to name a few. I closed it, forgetting what I was doing.
As soon as I did, Pinkie gasped. "Why did the author take about a year and a half to get this far!?!?!?" Well, I had run out of ideas and needed a break... then I forgot a bit and got stuck, as well as getting a job, and changing computers. "Makes sense."
The rest of us non-fourth wall breakers were confused by the pink mare's strange talking.
