> My Little Pony: Writings of Creation. > by HunterBrony101 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Introduction > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amalthea... great goddess of all. She governs all who live on the earth below. For ages, she has shown pony kind her love in very extraordinary ways. The Writings of Creation explains all of this. Here, we shall share to you the amazing ponies who Amalthea brought up to demonstrate her love to all. > 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the very Beginning, even before the existence of time, there was nothing but Amalthea. She was everywhere, and she was always present. When Amalthea created the heavens and the earth, the earth was without shape or order. It was an empty mass. But Amalthea saw that it was full of enormous potential. Amalthea's powerful spirit moved over the shapeless earth. Suddenly Amalthea spoke. "Let there be light!" As soon as she uttered those words, the very first light shone. Amalthea took the light, and separated it from the darkness. She called the light "day" and the darkness "night". As the dusk fell and the dawn came, Amalthea saw that it was good. Amalthea looked at the waters and mists swirling around the earth, catching the light that she had created. "I will separate the waters, and I will make sky" Amalthea divided the waters and mists, and circled the waters with sky. Evening came; it was the end of the second day. "I will create the seas and the dry ground" Land appeared, but it was empty. "Let plants, trees, seeds, and fruit fill the earth!" Green shoots began to spring up and cover the ground. They dug their roots deep into the earth, and leaves began to grow. Amalthea was pleased with what she saw. Then Amalthea made time, with seasons, days, and years. She made the fiery sun to shine thought the day, bringing heat and light to the earth. She made the silvery moon to shine throughout the coolness of the night. Then Amalthea painted the night sky with stars and planets. She knew that her creation was good. "Let the seas and the sky be filled with life!" Immediately fish of every kind shimmered in the blue-green waters of the sea. Butterflies, birds, bats, and bees hummed, hovered, swooped, and soared across the sky. Amalthea was pleased. She knew that everything she had made was good. "Now I will fill the earth!" Every kind of creature, wild and tame, leaped, slithered, and crawled across the land. "I will make ponies. They will be like me: they will be masters over all life". When she had finished her creation, Amalthea rested. > 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- When Amalthea made the earth, she filled it with many living creatures. Then she created the best one of all, in her own likeness. She formed a stallion out of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. Thus the stallion became a living being. Amalthea named him... Adam. But Adam was lonely, he wanted a companion. Amalthea had created many great animals. She brought them to Adam. Whatever animal Adam called, that was it's name. Adam was lonely, their were so many wonderful animals both male and female, but none of them were fit to be his mate. Amalthea knew this of course. "It is not good for Adam to be alone, I will make a helpmate for him" While Adam was in a deep sleep, Amalthea removed one of his ribs and closed the opening with flesh. From that rib, Amalthea created a mare. She then brought the mare to Adam. Because the mare would be the mother of all creation, Adam named her... Eve. Amalthea planted a Garden in Eden. She put Adam & Eve into the garden to care for and live in it. In this way, Amalthea showed her love for ponykind. **************** In heaven, Amalthea had many angels that served her greatly. The brightest angel out of the rest, was Lucifer. Lucifer was a highly exalted angel. His countenance, like those of the other angels, was mild and expressive of happiness. His forehead was high and broad, showing a powerful intellect. His form was perfect; his bearing noble and majestic. His high position was to guard the throne of Amalthea. Then one day, the sin of pride came into his heart. He wanted to be like Amalthea. In his madness, Lucifer enticed many angels to join him in an attempt to take over heaven. But Lucifer had a problem, he was only a created being. Amalthea threw Lucifer and all the rebellious angels out of heaven. These fallen angels became devils, and Lucifer became Satan. **************** Adam & Eve were happy. They walked and talked with Amalthea. "Enjoy everything in the garden, but do not eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, for on the day you do, you will die" One day, when Eve was alone, Satan approached her in the form of a beautiful serpent. He lied to Eve and tempted her to eat from the forbidden tree. Eve made a horrible mistake, she obeyed Satan instead of Amalthea. Eve took the fruit and ate it. She gave some to Adam and he ate it too. Suddenly, they felt guilty and were afraid. Adam & Eve tried to hide, but Amalthea knew that they had disobeyed her. "As punishment, you must leave the Garden. You will be unhappy and feel pain. Your lives will be difficult, and eventually you will die" Therefore, Adam & Eve left the garden. As a result, Satan took control of the world's system. Ponykind no longer had dominion over all the earth and was now a slave to the Prince of Darkness and his demonic allegiance. Yet in her love, Amalthea promised to one day send a great savior to undo the damage caused by Adam & Eve. > 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adam & Eve had two sons called Cain & Abel. Cain was a tiller of the ground, and Abel was a keeper of sheep. Cain was jealous because Amalthea preferred Abel's generous offerings. One day, in a fit of anger, Cain killed his brother. Amalthea was greatly saddened by this. Years passed, and few ponies remembered Amalthea at all. They argued and fought; they were selfish and greedy. Amalthea was sorry that she had ever made ponies, and she decided to start again. Only one pony, a stallion named Noah, was different from the rest. He was a good stallion, and he knew Amalthea. Amalthea told Noah her plan. "I am going to destroy everything I have made with a flood. But I will save you. You must build an ark, which will keep you and your family safe from the flood" Then Amalthea told Noah exactly how to build the ark. After 120 years, the ark was finished. "I want you to take the male and female of every kind of living creature into the ark. Make sure that you have plenty of food for the animals and yourselves. Soon it will start to rain, and the flood will begin. Then everything I have made will be destroyed. I will keep you and your family safe because I know that you love me" Noah prepared the ark, and it was ready, the animals came to him. They trotted and cantered, slithered and scuttled, scampered and flew to Noah and the safety of the ark. Then Noah and his wife, his three son, and their wives went inside, and Amalthea shut the door. Then it began to rain. It rained for forty days and forty nights. The rivers rose and burst their banks. The waters grew deeper and deeper until all the towns and villages, mountains, and forests were covered by the flood waters. Everything was destroyed. Only Noah, his family, and the animals were safe in the ark, with Amalthea watching over them. At last, the rain stopped, and a strong wind blew. Slowly, the waters began to go down. One day, Noah opened a window and sent out a raven to see if the land was dry. The raven flew back in forth, but it was unable to find any dry ground, so Noah knew that the earth was still covered with flood water. Noah waited. The days passed, each one very much like the last. Then Noah took one of the doves and set it free. He watched as the dove stretched its wings and flew away. But again the bird soon returned, and Noah knew that the waters still covered the earth. Seven day later, Noah freed the dove again and waited. That evening, the dove returned with an olive leaf in its beak. The waters were almost gone. Noah waited another week before releasing the dove once more. But this time, the dove did not come back. Noah guessed correctly that it had found somewhere to rest. The flood waters had finally gone, and the land was dry. "Now it is safe for you to leave the ark. Take your family and all the animals with you. The earth is yours to enjoy" Noah and his family walked out of the ark and onto the dry land. The animals leaped and bounded across the ground, free at last. Noah's first task was to build an altar. He wanted to thank Amalthea for keeping his family and all the animals safe during the flood. "I promise that I will never again destroy the earth by flood. And as long as the earth remains, there will always be times to plant and times to harvest, heat and cold, days and years. Look at the rainbow in the sky. It is a sign that I will keep my promise to you forever" But many years later, the people forgot Amalthea once more. They discovered that they could do many clever things and became full of their own importance. They settled on the plains of Babylonia, and one day, they had a brilliant idea. They decided to build a tower that reaches up to heaven, so that everyone would know how important they were. Every pony was talking about it, for they all spoke the same language. Amalthea saw how proud they were, and knew they had to be stopped. So she made them speak different languages, and they could no longer understand each other. After that, the ponies abandoned the tower and settled in different places in the world, each speaking their own language. There soon came other creatures, Zebras, Griffons, and Dragons. > 4 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Many years after Noah, ponies forgot about Amalthea and prayed to idols made from stone and clay. But there was one pony who chose to serve Amalthea, his name was Abram. Abram's father had taken his family from the city of Ur to Haran. One day, Amalthea spoke to Abram. "I want you to leave Haran and go to a new land, which I will give to you and your desendants" Abram and his wife, Sarah, went from place to place, living in tents. When they reached Canaan, Amalthea made Abram a promise. "You will have a son, and your descendants will be as numerous as the stars. Your name shall no longer be Abram, but Abraham" Many years later, Abraham still had no son. Then three messengers from Amalthea arrived. They told him that in a year's time, Sarah would have a son. Sarah heard this and she laughed knowing she was to old to have a son. When Abraham was 100 years old, Amalthea kept her promise and Sarah had a son. She named him Isaac meaning laughter, for she was given laughter in her old age by Amalthea. Abraham loved Isaac greatly. When Isaac was older, Abraham sent his servant back to Haran to choose a wife for Isaac. The servant asked Amalthea in prayer to show him the right pony. When he saw the mare named Rebekah, he knew she was Amalthea's choice for Isaac's wife. Isaac and Rebekah had twin sons named Esau and Jacob, who were fiercely competitive. One day, Esau was so hungry that he agreed to give up his inheritance in return for some of Jacob's stew. Isaac wanted to bless Esau, but with help from Rebekah, Jacob disguised himself as his brother, and tricked his dying father into giving him the blessing. Esau was furious, he vowed to kill Jacob. Jacob ran for his life. But Amalthea promised to bless him. Jacob went to work for his uncle Laban and married Leah and Rachel. When he returned to Canaan with his family, he made peace with Esau. Jacob had twelve sons, one of them was Joseph. Of all of his sons, Jacob loved Joseph the most and gave him a beautiful multicolored coat. Joseph had strange dreams that seemed to predict the future. His brothers were jealous of him. Joseph's brothers wanted to get rid of him. So they sold him as a slave to some passing traders, who were traveling to the land of the Griffons. The brothers then dipped Joseph's coat in goat's blood and told their father that Joseph was eaten by a wild animal. Amalthea looked after Joseph by helping him to explain the Griffon King's dream. When Joseph predicted a terrible famine, The king put him in charge of storing food, and there was plenty to eat for all. Joseph's brothers left Canaan for the land of the Griffons in search of food. Joseph forgave them for what they had done to him. He sent for his father and was overjoyed to see him. The whole family settled in the Griffon lands before forming their own nations. > 5 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joseph's wisdom had saved the griffons from a terrible fate during the famine, and from that time on, Joseph's family made the land of the griffons their home until the end of the famine. Over many generations, they grew into the twelve tribes of Israel. Soon there came a time when ponies suddenly gained amazing gifts. One section of ponies, by helping a flock of eagles from terrible traps and animals, were gifted with magnificent wings, and became known as Pegasus Ponies. The Pegasi were gifted with controling the weather. Another group of ponies helped protect a magical artifact of a kind hearted dragon, thus they were gifted with magical horns on their foreheads, and became known as Unicorns. The Unciorns were given control over the cycle of Day & Night. One specially gifted unicorn was known as Starswirl. Now Earth Ponies, Unicorns and Pegasi did not really see eye to eye. They would always bicker to each other. But soon, a long winter came to their land. The ponies were desperate for their own needs. Princess Platinum of the Unicorns, Commander Hurricane of the Pegasi, and Councilor Puddinghead of the Earth Ponies all decided to search for a new land. But once they arrived at the same time, their arguing caused the winter to follow. Platinum's servant, Clover the Clever noticed that it was caused by the Windigos, creatures who fed on hatred and caused a great blizzard. By befriending both Smart Cookie and Private Pansy, Clover repelled the Windigos away. Thus the Three Tribes united with one another and named their new home... Equestria. They thanked Amalthea for all that she provided for them. > 6 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After settling in Equestria, the three tribes felt they would need somepony of great spirit to lead them all. That was when Starswirl the Bearded brought forth two unexpected ponies, ponies with both horns and wings, ponies known as alicorns. The alicorns' names were Solaris and Fausta. These two ponies met before the coming of the Windigos when they were foals. Originally, Solaris was a unicorn, and Fausta was a pegasus. As foals, the two always met in secret. One night, they touched muzzles and from their great affection of love, Solaris grew wings, and Fausta grew a horn. Fearing for their lives, the two ran off together and remained in hiding under the protection of Starswirl and Amalthea's spirit. Now here before three tribe leaders, Solaris and Fausta were named the rulers of Equestria. A year later, Fausta gave birth to a baby alicorn filly, naming her Celestia. Fausta soon gave birth to another daughter, naming her Luna. Now growing up in royalty is quite difficult, and it was no exception for young Luna. You see, Starswirl could see that the sisters would each rule a certain section of the day and night cycle. Because of this, Solaris and Fausta had Celestia wonder in the day and sleep at night, while Luna wondered the night and slept during the day. Luna's training was a little harsh seeing as she was not allowed awake at day. After receiving their cutie marks, Celestia and Luna were allowed the play with each other for a day. The next day, the two were separated to learn their responsibilities, Celestia among the Unicorns and Luna among the Pegasi. Feeling that they did not love her, Luna developed a great hatred towards her parents. When ever she practiced royal behavior, Luna imagined locking her parents in the dungeon for life or having them put to death. When ever she trained combat, Luna took her hatred for her parents out on anypony she trained with, including the young foals. The Pegasi were so upset with Luna and her behavior towards them that they complained to Commander Hurricane. Wanting to cheer her up, Hurricane took Luna out for a flight. When the winds grew strong, the two settled in a cave. There, they were greeted by a tribe of Griffons. The Griffon Chief known as Seti, told them how his tribe fell on hard times after the Windigos. Luna felt sorry for the griffons. Hurricane decided to provide for the griffons to get them back on their legs. Luna however wanted to do more. Luna betrayed Hurricane by making Seti and his wife Hatshepsut rulers. She even made the pegasi work for the griffons as their slaves. Word reached Solaris and Fausta about what Luna had done. Fausta was devastated, but Solaris was furious. Solaris tried to go stop Luna, but Starswirl stopped him. For his harsh treatment towards his youngest daughter, Amalthea stripped Solaris of his powers and title. Solaris was then confined to his chambers until he learned the error of his ways. So, the Pegasi were forced to work in the fields and to build cities for the griffons. The griffons named their new home... Egrypt. > 7 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seti saw that the Pegasi had grown too numerous in Egrypt, so he ordered that all new born colts should be put to death. But a pegasus mare named Jochebed hid her son in a basket by the Nile River. Hatshepsut found the baby and took him in, naming him... Moses. Moses lived a pleasant life in the palace. He was very close to his griffon brother, Rameses. As Moses grew up, he saw how the pegasi suffered. Once, when he was 7, he witnessed a griffon beating a pegasus slave. In his anger, Moses killed the griffon and hid the body. Someone saw this, and Moses had to hide. He left Egrypt and became a shepherd. One day, Moses saw a bush that was on fire but did not burn up. From the bush, Amalthea spoke. "Moses, you will lead the Pegasi out of Egrypt" Rameses was now the new king of Egrypt. Moses told him that he must free the Pegasi. But Rameses would not listen. Moses warned him that terrible things will happen if he disobeyed Amalthea. Rameses ignored the warning. The next day, the Nile River turned to blood. Soon, afterwards, all of Egrypt was covered with frogs. But still, Rameses refused to give in. More plagues followed: the air filled with clouds of gnats, then swarms of flies; cows and sheep died in the fields; griffons and animals were covered in boils; hail beat down; and locusts ate the crops. Then darkness covered Egrypt. Then Amalthea spoke to Moses. "Every firstborn child and animal in Egrypt will die tonight and the king will beg you to leave" The Pegasi ate a special meal and made plans to leave. Amalthea told them what to do to save themselves: they were to mark their doors with lambs' blood, so that death would "pass over" their homes. That night, the firstborn son of every griffon family died. Rameses ordered Moses to go. With that, the Pegasi left Egrypt. Luna also came along with them having felt regret for her actions. The Pegasi reached the Red Sea with Rameses' army following them. Moses told his tribe not to be afraid. He held out his staff. A strong wind blew and the waters divided, revealing a path to the other side. The griffons saw the pegasi walk safely across, and they flew after them. Amalthea told Moses to stretch out his hoof again. Moses did so, and the waters fell back, drowning the Griffons. Moses lead the Pegasi into the desert where there was no food. The Pegasi complained that they were better off in Egrypt. Amalthea told the Pegasi that she would give them food. That evening, there was hay to eat. In the morning, white flakes covered the ground. Moses described it as Manna and that it was good to eat. The Pegasi did so, and the taste was like honey. The Pegasi soon reached the castle of Solaris and Fausta. Luna was at last reunited with her family. Solaris asked Luna for forgiveness for his treatment, which Luna did. Amalthea wanted to speak with the pony tribes, and Moses told them to prepare themselves. A thick cloud came down, and Moses climbed Amalthea's holy mountain. There, Amalthea gave Moses two large stone tablets with the Ten Commandments written on them. "You are my people. These are my laws. Keep them, and you will be blessed" At the foot of the mountain, the ponies wondered what had happened to Moses. They grew impatient and decided to make their own god. So they made a golden calf and worshipped it. When Moses returned, he saw the the golden calf and was furious. He told the ponies that they must worship only Amalthea. Amaltha then instructed the ponies to erect a special tent where they could worship her. The finished tent, called the Tabernacle, held the Ark of the Covenant, a chest containing the Ten Commandments. The Tabernacle became the focus of religious life; it was erected wherever ponies set up camp. > 8 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Moses led the Pegasi from Egrypt to the edge of a part of Equestria. He sent spies ahead into this area to see whether the tribes who lived there were hostile. Although Joshua and Caleb came back with a good report about the area, others told frightening stories of giants and fortified cities. The Pegasi were scared and refused to go on. As a result, Amalthea made them wander in the wilderness for 40 years. When Moses died, Amalthea chose Joshua to be the leader of the Pegasi. "Get ready to enter the area of land I have promised you" The Pegasi prepared themselves. First, the priests stepped into the Jordan River carrying the Ark of the Covenant, which contained Amalthea's law. Immediately, the water stopped flowing, and the Pegasi walked across dry land into to the area of land. Now the fortified city of Jericho lay ahead, it's huge gates shut against them. Joshua obeyed Amalthea's instructions. For six days the Pegasi army marched around the city walls, while seven priests with ram's horns marched in front of the Ark of the Covenant. On the seventh day, they marched seven times. When the priests blew their horns, Joshua ordered the Pegasi to shout, for Amalthea had given Jericho to them. The walls began to crumble and Jericho was theirs. Only Rahab and her family were kept safe because she had hidden the spies Joshua had sent into the city. The Pegasi made their home in that area of Equestria and, when they were obedient to Amalthea, they prospered there. Aside of Celestia and Luna, the ponies had many leaders who led them into battle. Among them was Samson, whom Amalthea had given superpony strength. When Samson fell in love with the mare Delilah, she made him tell her the secret of his strength - his mane. With his strength he won over a group of ponies known as the Philistines. When his mane was cut off, his strength disappeared. The Philistines took Samson prisoner and tortured him. Then they brought him to their temple to mock him. But Samson prayed to Amalthea asking her to remember him and return his strength. Then Samson pushed against the pillars; they crumbled and fell, crushing Samson and everypony in the temple. Time passed, and ponies forgot to follow Amalthea's ways. But Amalthea spoke to a colt named Samuel, at the temple in Shiloh. Three times Amalthea called his name. The last time, Samuel realized it was Amalthea. Samuel grew up to be a priest, through whom Amalthea spoke to the ponies. When they asked for a governor, Samuel tried to tell them that Amalthea was both their Queen and Governor. But Amalthea told Samuel to grant their wish and Anoint Saul governor of Equestria. At first, Saul obeyed Amalthea. But he soon became disobedient. When he was moody, a shepherd colt named David played music to calm him down. In secret, Amalthea chose David to be Equestria's future governor. The Philistines had a champion named Goliath. He was a giant of a pony, standing over 12 feet tall, and he did not follow the Equestians' Goddess. Twice a day Goliath stood in front of the Equestrian army and shouted. He challenged them to fight him, but nopony dared to. Then one day, David went to the Equestrian camp. When he heard Goliath's challenge, he wondered why anypony should be afraid. Amalthea was on their side. He decided to fight Goliath. David took his sling and five smooth stones. Goliath sneered when he saw David. But David swung his sling around in the air at high speed. A stone struck Goliath on the forehead, and he fell down dead. Then David took Goliath's own sword and cut off the giant's head. When Saul died, the ponies wanted David to be their governor, for they knew that Amalthea had chosen him. So David became governor and warrior, and he defeated Equestria's enemies. He wanted to give thanks to Amalthea. He told the ponies to bring the Ark of the Covenant to Celestia and Luna's castle, where it would stay, and told everypony to come and celebrate. So, as Levite priests carried the ark into the area of Celestia and Luna's castle, musicians played, choirs sang songs of praise, and everypony shouted with joy. David danced in front of the ark, praising Amalthea. His wife Michal, watched scornfully. She thought David looked foolish. But Amalthea told David that she would make him great and would bless his descendants. David's son Solomon was famous for his great wisdom, a gift from Amalthea. One day, two mares were arguing over who was the mother of a baby. Solomon ordered for the baby to be cut in half. When one of the mares pleaded for the baby's life, Solomon knew she was the real mother. In the area of Celestia and Luna's castle, Solomon built a beautiful temple, where ponies could worship Amalthea. The temple contained bronze pillars and golden furniture; its stone walls were lined with cedar wood and covered with gold. The Ark of the Covenant was kept in the holiest part of the temple. Far away, the Queen of Sheba heard tales of Governor Solomon's wisdom and wealth. She wanted to know if they were true, and traveled more than 1,200 miles with her officials and servants to visit the governor. She brought gifts of gold, spices, and precious jewels. She talked to Solomon who answered all her questions. "I was told stories of your greatness, but your wisdom and riches are even greater than I imagined. Your people must be so happy to be governed by you. I want to praise your Goddess for all that she has given you and for the love that she has shown to her ponies" Then she and Solomon exchanged gifts and she returned to her home country. > 9 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The death of Governor Solomon was followed by arguments and civil wars, and the land of Equestria was divided into two: Isreal and Judah, much to Celestia and Luna's dismay. Many of the ponies turned away from Amalthea to worship idols. For more than 200 years, Amalthea sent prophets to warn the ponies that they would be punished for their sinful ways. Because they did not listen, they paid the price. First the Assyrians came, then the Babylonians. Isreal was conquered and Judah was invaded. Many ponies were exiled to the far-off land of Babylon. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon ordered his servants to find him the finest young colts from Judah, and to have them taut Babylonian. The young colts were trained for three years and they were set to work for Nebuchadnezzar. Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego and Daniel were chosen. All four continued to worship Amalthea, even though they lived in a foreign land. Babylon was full of statues representing different gods. Nebuchadnezzar set a huge gold statue on the Dura plain. Everypony was to worship it. Anypony who disobeyed would be thrown into a fiery furnace. At the signal, everypony fell to their knees, except Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The young exiles were tied up and thrown into the red-hot furnace. Suddenly, Nebuchadnezzar saw four ponies walking in the fire, and one of them looked like an angel. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stepped out of the furnace unharmed. Nebedchadnezzar saw that their Goddess had rescued them and praised how great she was. Back in Equestria, Nebuchadnezzar left Zedekiah, governor of Judah, in charge of the remaining ponies. But when Zedekiah tried to trick Nebuchadnezzar, the Babylonians besieged the land. Amalthea sent the prophet Jeremiah to warn the ponies that if they surrendered, Amalthea would save them. But they did not follow his advice. The Babylonian army then stormed walls and ran into the Equestrian villages stealing all the bronze, silver, and gold from the temple, before destroying the villages by fire. Zedekiah was captured and his sons were executed. He was then blinded, put in shackles, and led away to Babylon with the rest of the ponies. Jeremiah was allowed to stay behind with the rest of the few ponies left who were in the care of Celestia and Luna. Years later in Babylon, Darius the Mede came to the throne and made Daniel a top official. Daniel's enemies persuaded Darius to make a law forbidding anypony to pray, unless it was to the king; anypony who broke the law would be thrown into the lions' den. But Daniel continued to pray faithfully to Amalthea. Darius knew he had been tricked, but he could do nothing. As the entrance was sealed behind Daniel, Darius prayed that Amalthea would protect him. That night, Darius could not sleep. At dawn, he rushed to the lions' den. He called Daniel's name. Daniel revealed himself to be unharmed. Amalthea's angel had shut the lions' mouths. In a vision, the prophet Ezekiel saw a valley of dry bones, representing the captive ponies, scattered and dead. As Ezekiel spoke Amalthea's words, the bones formed skeletons and grew flesh, a promise that the scattered exiles would one day be reunited and free. When Cyrus of Persia ruled Babylon, he decreed that the ponies of Amalthea would return to Equestria to rebuild the temple. He gave money and supplies, and silver and gold, which had been stolen from the temple years before. Zerubbabel and Jeshua returned and started the rebuilding work. It took many years to finish. In far-off Susa, King Artaxerxes' cupbearer, Nehemiah, heard that the walls in Equestria were still broken down, and this saddened him greatly. He prayed for Amalthea's help, and gained the king's permission to go to Equestria. Despite enemy attacks, Nehemiah's team completed the rebuilding in 52 days. When the villages in Equestria were rebuilt, Ezra the priest read Amalthea's laws to the ponies. They began weeping as they realized how disobedient they had been. They repented and worshipped Amalthea. Through her prophets, Amalthea promised to send a new ruler, The Star Prince, who would defend the ponies, and reveal Amalthea's love to them. > End > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Equestria continued to serve Amalthea ever since. Of course, there were other foes, enemies, and threats faced. There was the Chaotic Discord, the power-hungry Lord Tirek, even the black-hearted King Sombra. One day, Princess Luna feeling resentful, became Nightmare Moon forcing Celestia to banish her for 1,000 years. Then, there came Twilight Sparkle who with the help of her friends used the Elements of Harmony to change Luna back. Twilight soon became the Princess of Friendship, spreading the magic of friendship all over Equestria. She even took up a student named Starlight Glimmer. "Some ponies remembered the prophets' message that Amalthea would send the Star Prince into the world. The Star Prince is soon to come here to Equestria, and he will poses abilities nopony has ever seen. He will strike fear into his enemies, and show Amalthea's love to all who seek it." Lancelot closed the book he read which was The Writings of Creation, and pondered. "I wonder how the Star Prince will come. Maybe on a flying cloud, or from many falling stars." He looked up at the starry sky from the dome in his study. "Only time will tell I suppose." The white coated unicorn got up and walked out of his study, dousing the giant candle as he left. In the sky, Amalthea was watching him. "Soon Lancelot, you shall experience the grandest thing in your life."
