> My Little Pony: Strange Advice > by Time Agent pony > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The Strange meeting > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Easy, Twilight. It didn't happen," Spike said, trying to calm Twilight down. "But it could! I just don't think I can send Starlight anywhere," Twilight replied, "What am I gonna do?" "There is someone else I have in mind," Princess Celestia suggested, after some thinking. "Who?" asked Twilight. "You could send her to Dr. Strange," Celestia replied, "Have a feeling Starlight and him will get along just fine." "Dr. Strange?" Twilight repeated. "Yes, Dr. Strange," Celestia continued, "he is an extraordinary powerful wizard, perhaps even a sorcerer supreme." "Sorcerer supreme?" Twilight said, "that's great! where does he live?" "Well, he doesn't live in Equestria exactly," Celestia replied. "What are you saying?" Twilight asked, "is he from another world or something?" Celestia simply smiled to answer Twilight's question. "This is still really confusing," Twilight carried on, "are you sure he's really 'that' good?" "I have complete confidence in him," Celestia replied, "And your sure we will be able to help Starlight?" Twilight asked. "He's not stranger to magic," Celestia smiled, "I'm positive he'll be able to help Starlight." "Alright, if you say so Princess," Twilight said. "I'll send him a scroll informing him of Starlight's arrival," Celestia continued. "Alright, Princess," Twilight nodded, "If this 'Dr. Strange' really is a great wizard, I'll trust him if you do." "Don't worry, Twilight," reassured Celestia, "I'm sure he won't turn down somepony with a noble heart." "Alright, then" Twilight smiled, "I'll go and tell Starlight about the decision." Canterlot Castle, the next day Twilight and her friends were all at Canterlot Castle to see Starlight Glimmer off. Twilight had suggested that Starlight bring a friend with her so Trixie had decided go with Starlight. "Are you sure your going to be OK?" Twilight asked, as she made sure that Starlight had packed all she needed. "You don't have to worry about Starlight," Trixie smiled, "I'll look after her." "Thank you, Trixie," Twilight replied. "Alright, thats everything," Starlight said, "time to go." "Before you go," Twilight added, "take this." She levitated a book with Starlight's cutie mark on the cover. "Whats this for?" Starlight asked. "Something to help you keep in contact," Twilight replied. "Thanks," Starlight said. Just then, a portal opened up, Starlight joined Trixie by the portal. Waving to the Mane Six and the Princesses Starlight and Trixie stepped through the portal. "Will Starlight be OK, Princess?" Twilight asked. "I assure you, Twilight," Celestia replied, "Starlight and Trixie are in good hands." Far out in space, in a different reality. "So it has began," a voice spoke, "The meeting of beings from two worlds." "I have watched and documented events from across space and time," the voice continued, "I have watched great explorers become great heroes, I have watched accidents turn into triumphs, I have seen the flash of genius define the future and I have seen legends born and return when most needed, over and over again I have watched all of this and so must more for that is the task bequeathed to me by the universe." The voice paused for a moment, "but this event is a new chapter in the history of the universe." the voice continued, "I shall watch and record what ever events that transpire." In a flash the owner of the voice disappeared. New York, Dr. Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum "This is where Dr. Strange lives?" Starlight said, looking around as she and Trixie exited the portal. "Indeed it is," replied, a voice. Both Starlight and Trixie turned see the one and only Dr. Stephen Strange, "You must be the wizard, Dr. Strange?" Starlight asked. "Indeed," Dr. Strange replied, "welcome to my Sanctum Sanctorum." He was followed by another man. "Wong," Dr. Strange said, "would you prepare a room, our guests have arrived." "Very good doctor," replied Wong, Dr. Strange's servant and friend, "I shall start preparing the rooms at once." "You weren't what I expected," Starlight commented. "Then what were you expecting?" Strange asked, curiously. "I guess I pictured you to look like Star Swirl the Bearded," Starlight replied. "I figured that you would look strange," Trixie said. "No, I am Strange," Strange replied. "Well who am I too judge," Trixie smirked. "And who are you?" Strange asked, turning to Trixie. "Who am I? WHO AM I?" Trixie cried, shocked, "I am The Great and Powerful Trixie!" "Great and Powerful, you say?" Strange smiled, "can The Great and Powerful Trixie do this?" With that Dr. Strange walked up to Trixie and gave her a shove, Trixie seemed to fall backwards but she appeared to be floating above her body in a transparent state. The look on Trixie's face was one of shock and stunned silence. "What did you do?" Starlight asked, just as shocked as Trixie. "I simply pushed Trixie's astral form out of her physical form," Strange answered, he reversed what he had done and Trixie returned to physical body. "What happened?" Trixie murmured. "For a moment you entered the astral dimension," Strange explained. "And that is?" Trixie asked. "A place where the soul exists apart from the body," Strange finished. "How is that possible?" Starlight said, almost speechless, "I've never ever heard of this magic before." "Oh, I have many secrets, Miss Glimmer." Strange smiled, "and should you allow me to teach you everything I know you too can learn astral projection." "Where do I start?" Starlight asked. "First, you must open your eyes," Strange replied. "I don't follow," Starlight said, confused. "I will show you how must you don't know," Strange continued, "So you must open your eyes." Before Starlight could reply Strange reached out and placed his hand on her forehand. The moment he did Starlight found herself flying though time and different universes, some she recognised, some she didn't: a universe where Discord reigns, a universe where Twilight, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Applejack are the super team the Pontasic Four, a universe where Nightmare Moon was never defeated, a universe in which Twilight and her friends were insane lunatics, a universe where Twilight and her friends are corrupted versions of themselves and finally a universe populated by human versions of everypony in Equestria. "You think you know how magic works," Strange's voice said as Starlight continued falling through universe after universe, "yours and my universes are all their is?" "what is real? What mysteries lay beyond the reach of your senses?" he continued, Starlight had now past alternate universes and was about to entering the next stage of the universe, the building blocks of life. "At the root of existence mind and matter meet," Strange carried on, as Starlight watched matter and anti-matter colliding, "Thoughts shape the reality." "Yours and my universes are only one of infinite numbers," Strange continued, as Starlight entered the Quantum realm, a subatomic reality where all concepts of time and space were irrelevant. "Worlds without ends," Strange carried on, "Some benevolent and life giving," he said as Starlight exited the quantum realm, "others filled with malleus and hunger," he added as Starlight enter the Dark Dimension. "Dark places," Strange concluded, "where powers older than time lay ravenous and waiting." Starlight noticed a horrifying sight, a being with fearsome features watched her. But before she could do anything Starlight was pulled elsewhere, "Who are you in this vast multiverse Miss Glimmer?" Strange asked. Starlight didn't get a chance to answer, then suddenly she found herself back in Dr. Strange's Sanctorum with Trixie and Strange. "Have you seen those things in spell books?" Strange asked. "Teach me everything you know" Starlight replied. Strange smiled at her response, "Where stall we begin?" he said. The Dark Dimension A pony with a twisted and gnarled form walked forward and stop. "Who dares?!" a voice demanded. "Dormammu, I've came to bargain," the pony replied. In answer the Dormammu appeared before the pony. "What do you want?" he asked. "Revenge," the pony responded, as she stepped forward revealing her identity, Queen Chrysalis. > The Magic begins > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Starlight had began her training with Dr. Strange, they started by doing single spells. Unlike spell casting in Equestria, spell casting with Strange required Starlight to use her hooves instead of horn to perform the spells. Trixie watched the two, while munching on a bag of cinnamon nuts. "This is going nowhere," Starlight said, after a few tries, "nothings working." "I once thought the same," Strange commented, "then I a saw a man perform spell with one hand." "Then why isn't it working for me?" Starlight asked, "I'm an expert in magic, it should be easy." "Silence your fear and your power will rise," Strange replied. "What fear?" Starlight inquired, trying to hide her voice from shaking. "My teacher, The Ancient One, told me almost the same thing," Strange responded, "At first I didn't care for her advice, but soon I found out she was right." "Your teacher was really called The Ancient One?" Trixie interrupted, "She never told you her name, not once?" "No she didn't" Strange answered. Trixie stopped talking, sensing she'd struck a nerve, continued eating her cinnamon nuts. Next Strange taught Starlight how to use something called a Sling Ring, a ring that open fiery portals to another location. Starlight tried as hard as she could, but all she got were a few sparks, "This is useless," Starlight said, after hundred tries, "I'm getting nowhere." "Come with me," Strange said, using his own Sling Ring, he opened a portal onto a snowy mountain. Starlight followed him, "It's freezing!" she said, shivering as she joined Strange. "The Ancient One showed me this once," Strange replied, "I bet you've got just under thirteen minutes before frostbite sets in," he continued, walking back towards the portal. "Wait, what?!" was all Starlight could shouted, before the portal disappeared. "Surrender Starlight....." Strange finished as the portal closed, leaving Starlight alone. Back at the Sanctum "Why would you do that?!" Trixie cried. "I have faith in Starlight," Strange replied, calmly. They waited quietly for a few tense minutes. Suddenly a portal opened and out fell a very cold Starlight Glimmer. "Told you," Strange said. After Starlight had had time to recover, her training resumed. "How did you know?" Starlight asked. Strange sighed, "Believe it or not, I went through something similar to you" he replied, "I know what you went through." "How can you know?" Starlight cried, "You don't know what it was like to be left behind! And then getting so bitter that you steal the cutie marks from an entire village and then get defeated by Twilight and her friends, so you travel through time to get back at them, but they beat you again and teach you about friendship, but you're so terrified ponies will find out what you did that you can't make any friends!" she paused for breath. "Well, I didn't not do what you did," Strange continued, "but yours and my backgrounds share similarities." "What happened to you?" Starlight asked. "Before I become the Sorcerer Supreme," Strange began, "I was a highly respected surgeon but despite my skills I cared only about myself and money." "That sure sounds like me," Starlight commented. Strange continued, "Then one night were I was driving home I had an accident and fell off a cliff and even though the doctor saved my life I had irreparable nerve damage in my hands, with that I gave up until I heard of being who might be able to restore my hands, The Ancient One." "Your teacher," Starlight said. Starlight nodded, "I Journeyed to Kamar-Taj to find the The Ancient One, but when I found her and asked her for a cure for my hands she turned me away, but her student Mordo...." "Who's Mordo?" Trixie interrupted. "Mordo's a good friend of mine," Strange replied, "you'll both meet him soon I'm sure." "Anyway," he continued, "Mordo saw that their was goodness in my soul, he persuaded The Ancient One to train me in the ways of magic, if it wasn't for Mordo I would have never become the Sorcerer Supreme." "Mordo sounds like a very powerful wizard," Starlight said. "Surely he is no match for the Great and Powerful Trixie," Trixie smiled. Strange shared her smile and carried on, "The Ancient One, Mordo and myself fought against her former student Kaecilius who had turned evil. The Ancient One was terribly wounded, and before she died she revealed that I had found the cure for my hands within myself." he finished. "Wow," Starlight said, "I never thought that you and I were so similar." "So if you don't let the fear control you the magic within you will rise," Strange smiled, "so shall we continue?" While Starlight continued her training Trixie had got bored and wondered off and was now in one the Sanctorum's rooms, it was filled with glass cases each containing various artefacts. "What is all this stuff?" Trixie asked, looking around, while munching on her bag of cinnamon nuts. "The most powerful items in this or any world," Wong replied, who had entered the room. "What does this one do?" Trixie asked, looking at a strange gun-like device "Don't touch that," Wong said. "What does this one do?" Trixie asked looking at a black book with strange writing on the cover. "Don't touch that," Wong said. "What does this one do?" Trixie asked, looking at a light blue cube. "You really don't want to touch that," Wong said. "AHHH!" came a cry from Trixie, who had ignored him and touched it. "Told you, you didn't want to touch it," Wong smiled, "also thats on loan to us." "He's right," said a voice, "that belongs to some very powerful people." Trixie and Wong turned to see Mordo, who had entered unannounced. "Ah, Mordo good to see you again," Wong greeted. "And you too Wong," Mordo replied, "and I see we have a new face around here," he continued, noticing Trixie. "You must be Mordo, the powerful wizard Dr. Strange spoke of," Trixie replied. "That I am," Mordo smiled, "but who are you?" "I am the great and powerful Trixie," Trixie replied. "Well that names a bit of a mouthful," Mordo said. "You can just call me Trixie," Trixie added, "I'll go and tell Dr. Strange your here." As Trixie headed back to where Strange and Starlight were, she heard the sound of something moving behind her. She turned around but all she could see was Strange's cloak laying crumpled on the floor. Trixie continued of her way, Strange's cloak following her silently. Meanwhile, back with Strange and Starlight. "I'm impressed, Starlight" Strange said, "your learning quiet fast." "I don't know if Princess Celestia or Princess Twilight told you," Starlight replied, "I'm already pretty good at magic." "Noted," Strange smiled, "by the way how is the new Princess Furry Heart?" "How do you know...." Starlight began, before Strange could answer Trixie came tumbling into the room, with Strange's cloak of levitation wrapped around her head. "I wondered where my cloak had got to," Strange remarked. Trixie was squirming on the floor, wrapped from head to tail in the cloak. “Leh meh go!” she demanded, muffled by the cloak trying to stuff itself into her mouth. "Sorry about this," Strange said, "my cloak of levitation has a mind of its own." “Cruh kiw dehoy swah,” Trixie cried. "Let our guest go, please," Strange said. The cloak obeyed and let Trixie go, "what was that?" Strange asked. “Just get this off, stat!” Trixie repeated. "Now what was it you wanted, Miss Trixie?" Strange continued. "Your friend Mordo is here," Trixie replied. "What brings you here, Mordo?" Wong asked. "I was coming to....." was all Mordo could say, before he noticed something wrong, "The Evil Eye of Avalon is gone!" he cried, rushing over to a display case that had been broken. "Impossible" Wong said, "No one enter the Sanctorum without permission." "Then it must have been someone on the inside," suggested Mordo. "Then we have a thief in the Sanctorum," Wong said, "I'll warn Dr. Strange at once." Wong turned to leave, suddenly he felt a sharp blow to the back of his head. "Doctor Stran......." was all Wong could shout, before he fell unconscious to the floor. > The Swarm > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Dark Dimension A changeling solider approached, Queen Chrysalis, "My queen," he said, "we have acquired the artifact." He presented the Evil Eye of Avalon to Chrysalis. This is taking too long," Dormammu thundered, "you and your army are no closer to conquering the human realm." "Patience, Dormammu, patience," Chrysalis replied, "everything comes to those who wait." "I tire of waiting," Dormammu responded, "you are misusing the power I gave you." "And may I remind you," Chrysalis cried, "you need me as much as I need you," she continued "you can't go outside the Dark Dimension, but me and my army can." "What is our next move?" Dormammu conceded, seeing Chrysalis's point. "Just one last piece to find," Chrysalis smiled. Back at the Sanctum "What happened here, Mordo?" Strange asked, he, Starlight and Trixie had hear Wong shout, discovered him unconscious and were now helping him back to his feet. "I don't know," Mordo replied, "I entered the room and found Wong like this and on top of that the Evil Eye of Avalon has been stolen." "Stolen?!" Strange repeated. "What's the Evil Eye of Avalon?" Starlight asked. "A very powerful artifact," Strange explained, "the results could be disastrous unless we find it," "Evil Eye of Avalon, that's a mouthful," Trixie commented. "Well, on the bright side," Mordo added, "whoever it was didn't get their hands on the Wand of Watoomb." "The Wand of Watoomb?" Trixie asked. Mordo pointed at another display case containing the aforementioned wand. "We must ensure the wand never falls into evil hands," Strange said. "Just how powerful is the wand?" Starlight asked. "It responds to the thoughts of the user," Wong replied, "it has near-omnipotent power." "It is most impor......." was all Strange could say, before the nearby window exploded, throwing everyone and everypony against the wall. Starlight opened her eyes, all she could remember is she and Trixie were talking to Strange, Mordo and Wong then there was an explosion, her vision was blurred but she could make some things out. Strange, Mordo, Wong and Trixie were all out cold, the cause of the explosion stood in the broken window, one Starlight recognised, a changeling, but the other was something different entirely, it's body was coloured grey with a single red eye set into its head. The two strode past everyone and snatched the Wand of Watoomb from it's case, once they had the artifact the two returned to where they had entered and vanished. "No, No, No, No!" Strange cried, as he began to regain conscious, as the two creature disappeared. "What was that?" Starlight asked, "how are there changelings here?!" "That creature with the changeling was a Mindless One," Mordo replied, "and that means only one thing." "What?" Trixie asked. "Dormammu has returned," Strange said, "but that doesn't explain where that changeling came from." "Dormamwho?" Trixie asked. "Queen Chrysalis," Starlight answered, "I don't how, but she most be working with Dormammu." Suddenly, there was a crackling sound from outside, the group rushed to the broken window. Shortly after a massive portal opened up, in the New York streets, and an army of changelings and Mindless Ones streamed out of the portal, terrifying people on the streets. "This is going to be a problem," Strange said. "I'm sure the Avengers can handle it," Mordo shrugged, "Like they handle the Chitauri invasion." Just after Mordo had said that, the group noticed, down on the streets, a team of heroes were engaging the changeling and the Mindless Ones: one was wearing an armoured suit, another was wearing red, blue and white along with welding a shield, another was wearing all black, another was welding a bow and firing arrows, another was clad in armour and dishing out blasts of lighting from his hammer and the last one was big, buff and green. "I'm sure they've got this covered," Mordo nodded. As Starlight and the others watched the fight, Starlight could see that the heroes were losing the fight, the changelings and Mindless Ones were overwhelming them. "Yeah, I don't think so," Trixie said. "Then its up to us," Strange stated, "But the three of us aren't enough." What about me and Trixie?" asked Starlight. "You are still in the training phase," Strange replied. "And your illusions are no match for what we're up against," Mordo said. "Whats that supposed to mean?!" Trixie retorted. "It means that you and Starlight will have to sit this one out," Wong explained, he pulled another book from another display case, the Book of Vishanti. "I hope the ones we need aren't busy." Strange said, as he the opened the book and flipped through a few pages. Once he'd found the spell he wanted, his hands glowed with magical energy as he uttered the words of the spell. After which, four people materialised into the room. The first one was dressed from head to toe in black leather biker attire, along with a motorcycle. The second one was dressed in orange and had two hunting rifles strapped to her back. The third one was something completely different, his whole body was coloured green and covered in moss, mud, twigs and vines. The last person was dressed in a dark blue suit, with a large gun on his back. "Um, what just happened?" the guy in the biker outfit asked. "Whats going on here, Stephen?" the girl in the orange coat asked. The green figure said nothing. "I'm with Elsa," the man in the dark blue suit nodded, "whats the meaning of this, Strange?" "Apologies, for summoning you all like this," Strange replied, "but I need all the help I can get." "Dormammu has returned," Wong explained, "but this time he's not alone." "He's working with Queen Chrysalis, ruler of the changelings." Starlight added. "OK, talking horses?!" the biker exclaimed, noticing Starlight and Trixie, the other two sharing his surprise, "thats something I haven't seen before." "We're ponies, thank you," Trixie retorted, "and just who are you all?" "Elsa Bloodstone, monster hunter," the girl replied. "Vince Marcus, also known as Warwolf," the dark blue suit continued "Names Johnny Blaze, the Ghost Rider and you are?" the biker finished. "I'm Trixie and this my friend Starlight Glimmer," Trixie answered. The green figure stayed silent. "What about him?" Trixie asked, pointing at the green figure. "He's the Man-Thing," Elsa replied. The Man-Thing made a mumbled growling sound. "Back to the point," Strange interrupted, "I've summoned the four of you here because Dormammu and Queen Chrysalis are trying to take over our world." "So you called us, because we've fought supernatural threats before," Vince finished. "That is correct, Vince," Mordo nodded, "You, Johnny, Man-Thing and Elsa have powers and experiences that will come in useful against Dormammu's forces." "What about me and Trixie?!" Starlight asked. "You and Trixie will be safe, here in the Sanctum," Wong replied, "You are not ready for a battle like this." Before the heroes left, Strange opened up a mini portal, big enough to fit his arm through, and pulled out a amulet and placed it around his neck. After that team assemble around Strange and disappeared in a flash of light. > Sorcerer Starlight > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Sanctum "I can't believe that we got benched like this!," Starlight fumed, as she pacing back and forth. "Strange didn't want you to get hurt," Trixie said, trying to calm Starlight down. "But Strange and the others don't know Chrysalis like I do," Starlight replied, "you and I have fought Chrysalis and her swarm before we have knowledge that the team will need." "All we can do is wait," Trixie stated. Before Starlight could answer a window-sized portal opened up, showing the Dark Dimension with Doctor Strange and his team being dragged away by changelings and Mindless Ones. "Starlight, Trixie, we're under attack!" Strange cried, "There is a traitor, he led the changelings and Mindless Ones right to us!" "What can we do?" Starlight asked. "Make sure that the Eye of Agamotto doesn't fall into Chrysalis or Dormammu's possession," Strange replied, throwing his amulet through the portal. Before the window closed Strange looked at his cloak, "you go too," he said. The cloak seemed reluctant to leave Strange, "Go now!" Strange command, "thats an order!" The cloak obeyed and flew off of Strange, through the portal. Shortly after the portal closed. "Well so much for waiting," Trixie said, munching on an apple. Upon hearing this, the cloak wrapped itself around Starlight, "Right," Starlight nodded, she placed the Eye of Agamotto around her neck. In an instant Starlight could see all of time: the past, present and the future, from the Celestials creating the earth to the end of all things. After that, Trixie grabbed the strange gun-like device from before, "I've a feeling we'll need this," she said. "Right," Starlight agreed, with that the two dashed out of the Sanctum and into the streets of New York. As they ran they passed an old man sitting at a table, he looked at them, then confusingly at his beer bottle, then back to them, "I gotta get off this stuff," he said. The Dark Dimension "Where is the infinity stone?" Chrysalis asked, the captured Doctor Strange. "It's safe and far away," Strange replied, "someplace you'll never find it." "Maybe a little torture will change your mind," Chrysalis smiled, her horn glowing. "Didn't you hear him?" Johnny blaze interrupted, "it was sent far away from here." "and we aren't going to talk," Vince nodded, "Thats right," Elsa agreed, "you'll get nothing out of us, you overgrown cockroach." "You're not much of a threat without Dormammu backing you up," Strange commented. "You and your kind are on your own," Wong said, "far from home with no help." "Is that so?" Chrysalis laughed, "Did you ever wonder how the Evil Eye of Avalon was stolen or how a changeling and Mindless One made it through your Sanctum's magic?" "No, I don't know," Strange replied. "The answer is more closer then you realise," Chrysalis smiled, her horn glowed and Mordo was released from his restraints. "Yes, Strange," Mordo said, as he walked over to join Chrysalis, "it was me, I was the one who led the changelings and Mindless Ones to the Sanctum and to us here." "Mordo, how? why?" Strange asked, in stunned shock. "Ever since I saw The Ancient One use the very power we seek to stop," Mordo replied, "I was disgusted that the one I looked up to using the dark powers to stop evil forces." "You see," Chrysalis continued, "Mordo and I share a common goal." "What could Chrysalis or Dormammu possibly have offered you, Mordo?" Wong asked. "Simple," Chrysalis said, "my goal is to raise an army and take revenge on Starlight Glimmer and Equestria, Mordo's goal is to rid the human world of all who using magic to abuse the laws of nature. "The two of us are one of a kind," Mordo said, as he and Chrysalis smiled at each other. "I might consider making Mordo my king," Chrysalis replied, blushing at Mordo's comment. "Please, stop" Johnny interrupted, "I'm getting a cavity." "If I wasn't tied up," Vince agreed, "I would be losing my lunch, right now." "Sarcasm will get you no where," Mordo said, giving Vince a quick strike from his weapon, the Staff of the Living Tribunal. Before Mordo could continue his torture of Vince, a changeling rushed in, "Master, Starlight Glimmer and Trixie are making their way towards us," he said. Both Mordo and Chrysalis smiled. "So Starlight Glimmer has the Eye of Agamotto?" Chrysalis said, "this is everything I hoped for." "You gave an infinity stone to a mere child, Strange?" Mordo laughed, "it would almost insult me if it wasn't so funny." "Go, bring her to me," Chrysalis ordered. "And her little magician friend?" Mordo asked. "Do whatever you want to her," Chrysalis replied, "just bring me Starlight!" Meanwhile "Which way now?" Trixie asked. "I don't know," Starlight answered, "this place is like nothing I've ever seen before." "Seems the Sorcerer Supreme didn't think to provide a map," Trixie huffed. "Well, it's not like he had a lot of time," Starlight replied. "You'd think that he would explain were he was," Trixie retorted, "everything looks the same in this place." Starlight gave Trixie a look, "Well, it's not like I can just say 'oh, mystic Eye of Agamotto take us to Dr. Strange'" After Starlight had said the words the Eye of Agamotto activated, the green gem in the centre glowed and a portal opened under the two, transporting them to the outside Dormammu's stronghold. "I stand corrected," Trixie said. "Strange and the others must be inside," Starlight noted, "the place will be swarming with changelings and Mindless Ones." "How are we suppose to know where Strange and the others are being held?" Trixie asked. Before Starlight could reply, they noticed Mordo motioning at them, "Starlight, Trixie over here," he whispered. Starlight and Trixie dashed over to him, "Mordo, what happened to the others?" Starlight asked. "The changelings and Mindless Ones dragged them off," Mordo replied. "Which way did they go?" Trixie asked. "They took them to the dungeon," Mordo continued. "Why didn't they get you?" Starlight inquired, "how did you mange to avoid them?" "That's not important right now," Mordo insisted, "what matters right now is saving the others." Starlight, Trixie and Mordo headed into the stronghold of Dormammu. "This is awfully quiet," Starlight said. "Yeah, I haven't seen a single changeling or Mindless One anywhere," Trixie nodded. "It's almost like there waiting for something," Mordo suggested. As the two ponies proceeded ahead of him, Mordo pulled out his weapon, flicking it from a staff into a wipe. "Starlight, look out!" Trixie cried, she throw herself at Starlight knocking her out of the way of Mordo's attack. "I know there was something strange about this," Starlight said, "you were the traitor." "You really are quiet smart," Mordo smiled, "I can see why Strange took an interest in you." "What could Chrysalis or Dormammu possibly have offered you, Mordo?" Trixie asked. "Queen Chrysalis and I simply have alined goals," Mordo replied, "and she has requested I bring you to her." "You want Starlight," Trixie growled, "then you have to go through me." "Precisely my intensions," Mordo smiled, his hands lit up with mystical energy and a portal opened behind Trixie. "Starlight!!" Trixie yelled, as she was sucked into the portal. "Trixie!!" Starlight cried, as she watched her best friend disappeared into the portal. "Now without further ado," Mordo continued, "you have an appointment with Chrysalis." Starlight said nothing, but as Mordo advanced on her. "The Flames of the Faltine, incinerate him!" Starlight called, with tears in her eyes, she fired a blast of flame at Mordo. Mordo simply dodged her attack, using another of his personal mystical items the Vaulting Boots of Valtorr, After which he processed to knocked Starlight unconscious. > Magic Duel > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Well done, Mordo," Chrysalis said, as Starlight regain conscious in the her and Mordo's throne room. "Chrysalis!" Starlight said, staring up at the changeling queen. "It's a pleasure seeing you again, after so long," Chrysalis replied. "What do you want, Chrysalis?" Starlight asked. "Isn't it obvious?" Chrysalis replied, "getting revenge on you." "So you made a deal with Dormammu to do it." Starlight said, "Chrysalis you don't have to do this." "You think you can still help me?" Chrysalis laughed, "your words mean nothing." "On to business," Mordo continued, "the infinity stone, give it to us." "Never!" Starlight was defiant, "I'll never give to you." "Just because Strange gave it to you, doesn't mean you know how to use it." Mordo commented. "I know that it's a very powerful artifact," Starlight replied, "and I won't let you have it." "Then we will have to take it from you," Dormammu said, as he appeared alongside the two villains, "with that infinity stone all shall fall to the will of Dormammu!" "Come and get it," Starlight said, "or are you going to have your two puppets do it for you? Are you scared?" "You dare?!" Dormammu thundered, "Dormammu fears no one!" "Enough!" Chrysalis interrupted, her horn glowed and the infinity stone levitated itself off of Starlight and over to her. "Finally," she said, "all of time will be at my mercy." She put the Eye of Agamotto on, the moment she had, Chrysalis winced in pain, "this thing has a lot more power than I realised." "Chrysalis, if I may," Mordo said, offering to take the Eye of Agamotto from her. "NO!," Chrysalis cried, "I can master this power." She tried to push through the pain, but finally fell to the ground, it had taken all her strength to try and overcome the stone energy, the Eye of Agamotto falling from her and landing at Starlight's hooves. Starlight quickly snatched the infinity stone and ran as fast as she could. "Guards! get her before she frees the others," Mordo commanded. Starlight ran down the hallways of Dormammu's stronghold, she could hear the sound of approaching changelings and Mindless Ones right behind her. She turned a corner and skipped to a halt, the corner she had turned into was a dead end. "Your coming with us," the changeling said, as he and the Mindless Ones advanced on Starlight. Starlight Turned to face the enemy, "Yeah, about that," she smiled, her horn glowed and in a flash the changelings and Mindless Ones chasing her all turned into oranges. "Now to find the others," Starlight said, finding some keys, dropped by one of the Mindless Ones. Meanwhile "Hello, can anyone hear me?" Trixie cried, as she drifted in a dark void. No one answered, "I'm sorry Starlight," Trixie whisper as tears filled her eyes. Suddenly, a ball of light appeared in front of her, "Fear not for I have heard you plea and have come to help," the light said. "What are you?" Trixie said. "I am the Uni-power," the light replied, "I can bestow upon the power you need to save the universe and your friend." "How?" Trixie asked. "I must merge with you," the light replied, "to bestow my power upon you I must merge." With that the ball of light combined with Trixie, imbuing her with the power of the universe itself, transforming her into Captain Universe. "Don't worry Starlight, I'm coming," Trixie smiled. The Dark Dimension "The dungeon must be around here somewhere," Starlight said. Soon she heard voices coming from a door close by, "there's my answer," she thought. The door was unguarded, she slipped inside, "Starlight," Strange said, "thank goodness you alright." "What happened to your friend?" Wong asked. Starlight didn't answer, the others understood, "I'm sorry," Strange replied. "No time to worry about that now," Johnny said, "we need to make our final stand against Dormammu here and now." With that Johnny Blaze transformed into the Spirit of Vengeance, the Ghost Rider, along with his motorcycle transforming into his Hellcycle. "Let's rock," Ghost Rider said, mounting his Hellcycle. Vince nodded and transformed into his Warwolf form. "Lock and load," Warwolf smiled, cocking his laser gun. Elsa followed his lead readying her own guns, "Let's do this," she said. Man-Thing nodded and growled. "Alright," Strange agreed, Starlight giving him back his cloak, "keep a hold of that," he said, when Starlight offered him back the Eye of Agamotto. With that the team rushed out of the dungeon and headed for the throne room. > The Finale battle > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "So the Sorcerer Supreme and his foot soldiers have returned for a rematch," Chrysalis smiled. "There may be only seven of you," Mordo smirked, "but you still don't have a chance against us." From out of no where an army of both changelings and Mindless Ones materialised into the room. Everyone got ready to charge, but before they could clash, "How about eight of us?" a voice asked. Everyone on the battlefield turned to see, Captain Universe, floating in the air above the battle. "Trixie?" Starlight asked, tears straining down her face. Captain Universe's mask dissipated to revealed Trixie's face, "the one and only," she replied. "Oh, Trixie," Starlight said, so happy to have her friend back. As they were about to hug, Warwolf interrupted them, "fight now, hug later," he said. "Right," Trixie nodded, the Captain Universe mask reforming over her face. Mordo laughed, "The universe must be desperate if the avatar of life is being wielded by a self-absorbed, below-average illusionist." "I'm going enjoy taking you down," Trixie smiled. "Everyone ready," Strange said. "Ready," the others replied. "Changelings, Mindless One to battle," Dormammu commanded. "Time for payback," Chrysalis growled, she and Mordo joined the army. Both sides faced each other, "Attack!" Chrysalis cried. The heroes and villains clashed. Ghost Rider, using his chains, managed to take out several changelings and Mindless Ones. Elsa and Warwolf fought back to back shooting changelings and Mindless Ones left and right. Trixie, using her Captain Universe powers, blasted hordes of changelings and Mindless Ones, suddenly Mordo charged at her from behind, but before he could attack her Mordo was grabbed by the Man-Thing. The moment Man-Thing touched Mordo's skin it started to burn, Mordo let out a cry of pain falling to his knees. Trixie turned to the Man-Thing, "Thanks, Mr. Man or Mr. Thing," she said. Man-Thing put a hand on her should and in response a mumbled grow escaped it. "He likes you," Wong said, as he joined the two. "How can you tell?" Trixie asked, wiping away slime from where Man-Thing had touched her. "You didn't burn at his touch," Wong replied. "Good to know," Trixie replied. Suddenly a squad of Mindless Ones advanced on them, Trixie and Wong, along with Man-Thing engaged them. Meanwhile, Doctor Strange and Wong were dealing the final blows to Mordo. Elsewhere Starlight and Chrysalis faced off against each other, "I want that infinity stone," Chrysalis roared, "and I want it now!" firing blasts from her horn at Starlight, "Chains of Krakkan, hold her fast," Starlight cried, conjuring strong chains to hold Chrysalis back, "Chrysalis listen to me" she continued, "you don't want to do this." Chrysalis growled and struggled against her restrains, finally blasting herself free of the chains. "I know these's good in you," Starlight said. "You think that if you say some words to convince me to reform and I'll reform just like that," Chrysalis replied, "I'm not as weak as the other villains who have fallen to your words." Chrysalis lunged at Starlight, but a powerful blow from Man-Thing knocking her to the ground. "I've waited many moons for my revenge," Chrysalis growled as she got back to her feet, "no mindless pile of sludge and leaves can keep me from me from what I seek." Man-Thing responded with an angry growing noise, followed by him plunging his hands into the ground, causing tendrils and vines to sprout from the ground, holding Chrysalis in place. "Feel the fury of Seven Suns of Cinnibus," Starlight said, she fired one final blast at Chrysalis. The changeling queen tried to shield herself from the blast, but at the last moment her shield broke and she fell to the ground alongside the defeated Mordo. "It doesn't have to be this way," Starlight said, standing over the defeated Chrysalis, "look take it from me," she continued, "there can be more to life than just revenge and destruction." "You really think I can reform?" Chrysalis replied, "I'm evil to the core, nothing can sway me." "I know something that can," Starlight stated, the infinity stone in the center of the Eye of Agamotto glowed. Green light surrounded Chrysalis, slowly she began to shrink and growing younger until she nothing more than an egg on the ground. "Mind if I borrow this?" Trixie asked, taking Mordo's staff as Starlight levitated the egg over to Wong. "Dormammu!" Starlight commanded, "your forces are scattered and your servants have failed." "You dare command Dormammu!" Dormammu thundered, as he appeared right in front of Starlight and Trixie. "Dormammu, hear my voice and listen," Starlight continued, "I've got the Ultimate Nullifier," she said, pulling out the device, "leave this world and its people alone or I'll use it." "No, Starlight!" Strange cried, "It'll take you with it." "You would not dare use such a powerful device," Dormammu smiled. "Try me," Starlight replied, readying herself to fire the Nullifier, "I don't know much about this device," she carried on, "but I do know that it can erase anything it hits from existence." "Including its user," Dormammu stated. "I'm willing to make that sacrifice," Starlight replied, "to protect this world, Equestria and all other worlds out there from your evil." "Me too," Trixie nodded, "you forget I have the power of the universe itself, I could make your feel the full force of a supernova." "What say you, Dormammu?" Strange asked, "do you really want to take on all of us and the guardian of Eternity?" Dormammu charged at the heroes, only to be met with a furious blast from all of the heroes at once. "Your move," Warwolf smiled, pointing his laser gun in Dormammu's face. "You will leave the human realm along and never attack it again," Strange stated, "do you agree to these terms." "I shall agree," Dormammu conceded, "but know this Doctor Strange I will clam my vengeance upon you." "Been there, done that," Strange replied, with that Dormammu vanished. "What about Mordo?" Elsa asked. "He must repent for him crimes," Ghost Rider said, "he will face the agony of those he has wronged," he finished, taking the defeated Mordo, wrapped in his chains, on his motorcycle. Strange beckoned to Starlight for the Eye of Agamotto back. Back at the Sanctum. "OK thats the last of them," Wong said, putting the Wand of Watoomb back in its case. "This power is the greatest thing ever," Trixie squealed, "I gotta hang on to this power, It'll make my magic act some much more great and powerful, I wonder what else I can do with? I bet it lasts forever." But before Trixie could continued, the Uni-Power de-merged from her and disappeared. "Drat, ponyfeathers!" Trixie exclaimed. "Power or no power," Starlight said, "you're still my great and powerful friend." "I think its time for you to head home," Strange commented, "the battle with Chrysalis showed me that you have truly made peace with your past." "We'll miss you all," Starlight smiled, "you taught me not to let fear of my past get me down." "Come here, you big green lug," Trixie continued, giving the Man-Thing a hug, leaving her covered in slime. "Anytime you come to Equestria," Starlight finished, "don't be strangers." With that Strange opened up a portal and the two walked through it. Back in Canterlot "Welcome home, Starlight and Trixie!" Twilight, her friends and the Princesses cried, as Starlight and Trixie exited the portal. "I was worried you never used the journal I gave you," Twilight said, speaking fast, " I was worried! I wasn't! I knew you could do it, and I'm so, so, so, so, so proud of you! Tell me everything! Start from after I hyperventilated, and don't leave out any details!" "It's good to see that you, alright," Sunburst smiled. "Well we had a battle with Queen Chrysalis....." Starlight began. "WHAT!?" everypony asked. "What happened?" Applejack queried. In response Starlight pulled out the egg. "Here she is," she answered. "She's an egg?" Rainbow Dash said. "She's an egg?" Rarity repeated. "I gave her a second chance," Starlight replied. "She's an EGG?" Celestia repeated. "We'll take her to the Changeling hive," Starlight continued. "They'll raise her properly," Trixie added, "she may be different." "Or she may be worse," Luna finished. "That's her decision," Starlight stated. Everypony nodded in agreement. "An egg?" Rainbow Dash mumbled. The Changeling Hive "Take care of her," Starlight said, levitating the egg to Thorax, the leader of the changelings. "Of course," Thorax replied, "we'll raise her as the ruler we want not the one we had." The egg was placed in the Changeling hatchery. "I hope she can let go of the past and embrace her new future," Starlight smiled. "I think she can," Thorax nodded, "with us to guide her." As they watched, the egg started to crack.
