> Pinkie Pie Travels to a Different Dimension > by MistyKit > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the fields outside Ponyville, six ponies were meeting. It was a perfect day, not too warm, with a slight breeze, and not a cloud in the sky. It was about noon, the sun sitting lazily in the sky, showering all the ponies below with warmth. It was on this day that Pinkie Pie was getting ready to travel to a different dimension. She put her goggles on, making sure to snap them so they make a sound. Giggling, the pink pony turned towards Twilight, who was preparing the spell. “Is it done yet? Is it is it is it??” “No, Pinkie, not yet,” Twilight sighed, “You’ll still have to wait a little longer.” “Okie dokie lokie! I can do that!” Pinkie responded, striking a salute before falling to the ground in a fit of laughter. “Why do you do that Dashie?” Pinkie asked, “You look so silly!” “That does NOT look silly,” Rainbow Dash said indignantly, “It looks awesome.” “Whatever you say, Dashie,” the pink party pony laughed. “Okay Pinkie, the spell is ready!” Twilight called, just as she finished. “Ooh I just can’t wait! This is going to be so much fun!” Pinkie said, bouncing around. “Right,” The bookish mare said, “Just remember that this is for research! You will come back in exactly THREE hours, got it?” “Yeah, yeah,” Pinkie said, “Let’s get this party started!” “Okay, and one other thing, I don’t know WHERE you’ll go, or what time it will be when you get there.” Twilight said, although the pink pony wasn’t listening. “Pinkie, just stand in the middle of the circle, and I’ll start the spell.” “Okie dokie lokie!” Pinkie sang, bouncing to the middle of the circle that Twilight had drawn earlier. “Ready?” Twilight asked. “Yep! Let’s go!” “Okay, here we go!” The purple pony’s horn started to glow with magic, and the wind whipped the mane of everypony there. Purple magic started to slowly form around the pink pony, getting closer to sending her away any minute. “Make sure to tell us the awesome stories when you get back!” Rainbow called. “Goodbye, Pinkie,” Fluttershy said, but it was so quiet her voice was almost drown out by the wind. “See ya’ll in a couple hours!” Applejack shouted, the now gale force winds whipping around them. “But darling, do be careful!” Rarity added. The magic was now almost up to Pinkie’s head and steadily getting higher. “Pantalones!” Pinkie yelled, just as there was a loud POP, the wind stopped, and she disappeared. “’Pantalones’?” Dash asked with a confused look on her face. “Don’t think on it too much,” Said Applejack, “It’s Pinkie Pie.” *** In another dimension….. Pinkie Pie landed with a small thump. She picked herself up and looked around. She was in a small room; there was one window, a door, and a bed. And the floor was soft! Pinkie ran her hoof over the carpet, giggling. “That tickles!” she said quietly. She then noticed there was something on the bed. Pinkie got up and trotted over to the bed, trying to see what the thing was, but there was a blanket covering it up. So she took the blanket in her teeth and then pulled it down to show its face. It had no fur except for a short, brown tuft on the top of its head. It didn’t have a muzzle, either. The face was flat, except for a small nose. It had two eyes and ears, just like everything else Pinkie had ever seen. It started moving, barely opening its eyes. “Uuugh,” It groaned, rolling over, “Just five more minutes, mom..” “I’m not your mom, silly!” Pinkie said, sitting next to the thing on the bed. “Huh?” It sleepily said, rolling to the side and opening an eye. “Oh, hi, Pinkie Pie.” “You know my name? That’s so funny, ‘cause I don’t know yours!” the pony said, bouncing happily on the bed. The thing sat up in bed, looking at Pinkie. “Wait, Pinkie Pie?! I must be dreaming. I have to be dreaming. Ponies don’t randomly appear out of nowhere,” She assured herself, but still not believing she was asleep. “Wake up,” she willed herself, “Wake up!” “What are you doing?” The pink pony giggled, “You’re not asleep, and I really am here.” “Fine.” It said, standing up. She was about 5’6, twice the height of Pinkie. “If you really are here, why are you here? And how?” “Twilight made a spell to send me here, duh! And I’m here to do research for Twilight.” “Well, if you’re here for research, what do you want to know?” “How about…. What’s your name?” Pinkie asked. I can’t believe I’m doing this... she thought as she said, “Alli.” “Hi, Alli! I’m Pinkie Pie, but you knew that. So… what are you?’ “A human...” Alli responded, sitting back down on her bed,”Have you never heard of them before?” “Nope! Okay, one more question,” Pinkie said, “How old are you?” “15.” “Well, now that I’m done researching, what can we do for fun?” Pinkie asked, looking around the room, which had many different things on the floor. “I like reading,” Alli said, “How about that?” “Booriiing! What else can we do?” “Ummm… I like to draw...” Alli said, “Do you have anything in mind?” “Oooh! PARTIES!” Pinkie said, bouncing around the room like a lunatic. “No!” Alli quickly said, “No parties!” “Awww, why?” Pinkie asked sadly. “If we had a party, my parents would wake up, and that’s not good!” “Oh… Well, we could play party games.” Pinkie suggested. “….Yeah, I guess that’s alright.” Alli decided after thinking it over. “Just…. Don’t be too loud.” “Okie dokie! I promise!” “Okay. When do you have to leave here, anyway? I mean, if you can?” “Well, Twi said that in three hours I would go home!” “It’s 7 now, so you’ll have to leave around 9, 10. So, what games do you have?” Alli asked. “I have Pin the Tail on the Pony!” “Sure, we can play that.” Pinkie then pulled a pony poster and six tails out of freaking NOWHERE, and proceeded to pin the poster on the wall. “Uhh, Pinkie? I can’t reach that.” Pinkie had pinned the poster at pony height, so Alli had to crouch down just to pin the tail to the poster! “Just get down on your knees, silly!” Pinkie said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. Just then, Alli’s sister opened the door. “What’s all the noise?” She asked, still groggy from being woke up. Then she saw Pinkie Pie. Her eyes bugged out of her head and she spluttered, “Wha-wha-wha…” “You are dreaming,” Alli promptly said, standing in front of Pinkie. “Go back to sleep.” “I am dreaming….” “Yes, good, you’re dreaming. Now, back to bed!” Alli said, walking her sister out of the room. Pinkie was waiting for her when she opened the door. “Why did you do that? It’s more fun with more ponies!” “Well, I don’t want anyone to know you’re here.” “Why?” Pinkie asked, her hair deflating a little bit. “Because….” Alli answered, “…They don’t think you’re real.” “That’s silly, because I AM real! You can see me!” “Yes, I know you’re real, but they don’t. Let’s play!” “Yay! It’s time to PARTY!” Pinkie said, putting a blindfold on Alli. “Okay,” Pinkie explained, “I will spin you around three times. When that’s done, you have three chances to, you know, pin the tail on the pony!” “Okay,” Alli said, holding her three tails, “Spin me.” With that, Pinkie spun Alli around three times, and let her go. Alli lurched forward, being disoriented for a moment, and began inching toward the pony poster on her knees. Eventually, she smacked into the wall. “Ow.” She muttered under her breath, rubbing her forehead. She went backwards a few steps, and pinned her three tails to the pony. Pinkie started giggling, and then burst out laughing. “What?” Alli asked, taking off her mask. She smiled. Alli had pinned one tail to its head, one in the middle of the torso, and one wasn’t even on the poster. “Well?” She said, looking at Pinkie, “Your turn.” Alli put the blindfold on Pinkie, and then repeated the process. Pinkie trotted forward and put the tails on the poster, all on the rump of the pony. “Wha- how?” Alli stuttered, watching Pinkie. “Practice.” Pinkie simply stated. “I’ve played this game since I was a filly!” “Uh huh,” Alli said, “Come on; let’s play a few more rounds.” *** At the end of about 20 more rounds, and much laughter, Pinkie was declared the winner. Alli had pinned the tails pretty much everywhere EXCEPT where they were supposed to go, other than the few lucky chances she pinned them right. Pinkie, on the other hand, had them all pinned on the spot, except the few that strayed just a little bit. “Good game.” Alli said, congratulating Pinkie. “I’ll admit it, you won.” “You were good too, Alli!” Pinkie added, not wanting her new friend to feel bad. “Well, it looks like it’s almost time for you to go.” As if on cue, Pinkie started to have magic wrap around her, but faster than it was the first time. “Bye, Pinkie. It was really fun!” Alli said, feeling sad that Pinkie had to leave so soon. “Pantalones!” Pinkie called, again just before a loud POP and she disappeared. “…..Did Pinkie just speak Spanish?”
