In the land of Equestria, The Earth Ponies, Pegasi, and Unicorns united in friendship and formed a great kingdom. However, things were still not very smooth with Princess Platinum and Commander Hurricane.. The two were polar opposites, one was simple and blunt, the other was complex and a polite strain of blunt or suggestive and hard to decipher. One day, Platinum and Hurricane bickered over some kind of matter but soon boiled to name calling.

"Stubborn Pegasi!" Platinum sniped.

"Snooty Unicorn!" Hurricane retorted in response.

"Can't we agree on anything for once?" Platinum asked exasperated looking fluttered enough her mane started to show her distress.

"Well, you're being too critical about things!" Hurricane explained trying to find reason in Platinum's logic.

"I DO have standards…" Platinum sighed, adjusting her mane.

"Which is pretty much all you care about." Hurricane remarked with a deadpan expression.

"Well you should have more care for standards."

"ENOUGH!!!" A loud voice boomed from nowhere.

Hurricane and Platinum turned to the source of the loud booming voice which happened to be...Star Swirl the Bearded.

"Star Swirl....forgive me…" Platinum apologized bowing her head a little.

"You needn't fight anymore, for I have a solution." Star Swirl pointed and out of the darkness came two Ponies with both horns and wings.

"These are Solaris and Fausta."

"What on Equus?...." Platinum said jaw agape.

"They are a race of ponies known as Alicorns, the most powerful ponies on earth." Star Swirl explained.

"I say...A pleasure to meet you both..." Platinum said politely.

"The pleasure's all ours." Solaris said in a low tone with a majestic aura.

"What can you do to help us?" Platinum Asked tilting her head in perplexed.

"Star Swirl believed that Solaris and I could help by being the high rulers of Equestria."

"Is that so?..." Platinum asked curiously.

"Of course." Fausta said coolly.

"It could help a great deal…" Platinum said with a smile.

"Indeed", Hurricane replied, "It would be beneficial for all of us."

"So where do we start?" Platinum asked.

Star Swirl arranged a celebration. So, Solaris and Fausta were crowned the rulers of Equestria. For years, everything was well. Then one day, Fausta gave birth to a filly of white and 4 color toned mane & tail, naming her Celestia.

"Aw...she is beautiful." Platinum commented smiling at the infant filly.

"For sure, she indeed will be the fairest heiress." Hurricane complimented.

"Tell me, will she be an only foal?" Platinum asked.

"You never really know." Solaris said, and soon 5 years later, Fausta gave birth to another filly, a light blue filly with a sky blue mane & tail, naming her Luna.

"Another cute and beautiful foal…" Platinum cooed.

"She looks as precious as her sister." Hurricane remarked.

"I am sure these two will be fine rulers." Platinum said confidently with a smile, "These two will be close ruling sisters."

Two days later, Star Swirl called Platinum and Hurricane into his chambers to discuss something.

"You summoned us Star Swirl?" Platinum asked.

"Yes, I'd like to talk to you both about something." Star Swirl said seriously.

"About what?" Platinum asked.

"I've known how your tribes are still unsettled with each other."

"Of course." Hurricane agreed.

"I believe they can be united by Celestia and Luna. So I've decided, once the two both have their cutie marks, they will be separated and trained by one of your tribes. Platinum, you will train Celestia. Hurricane, you will train Luna." Star Swirl assigned.

"I'll do my best." Hurricane said with a salute.

"Be gentle with Luna, Hurricane...." Platinum advised.

"I'll try my best."

"Thank you...Celestia will be well trained." Platinum assured Star Swirl.

As Celestia and Luna grew up, They were given a routine where Celestia was awake during the day and slept at night, while Luna was awake during the night and slept in the day. Years later an elder Platinum & Hurricane then spoke to them.

"You have grown into lovely mares, you and Luna…" Platinum said warmly.

"Tomorrow, you two will be separated for training." Hurricane informed them.

"Be strong the both of you." Platinum said motherly.

The two sister nodded respectively. The next day the two were separated and each taken to one of the pony tribes: Unicorn and Pegasi. Luna felt broken on the inside, for all of her life, she had been forced to obey her parents' strict rules of being royalty and was badly punished if she ever disobeyed. Something changed in Luna that night, she decided if she couldn't have her sister, then she wouldn't have anypony at all. While learning of politics she would growl at anypony who tried to come near her. During combat training, she took her anger for her parents out on the young opponents injuring them severely. This enraged some of the Pegasi who sent complaints and terrible reports on their foals' conditions.

One day Platinum approached Luna to engage in friendly conversation.

"Luna dear how are you doing?"

All Platinum got in reply was a dark growl of anger from the younger alicorn filly.

"Luna?...."

Luna walked off disgusted by Platinum showing up.

"Luna. Don't walk away…" Platinum gently ordered but it was in vain, it was then Hurricane came up from behind.

"Sorry Platinum, Luna has been acting very ruff about something lately."

"Perhaps the training?....I thought I asked for gentleness…"

"I have been. But it must be something else."

Platinum only sighed in reply showing great worry for the light blue alicorn filly.

"Should I talk to her and see if she's alright?" Hurricane asked.

"Can you get through to her? I tried...."

"Star Swirl trusted me with her, and she trusts me, I'm sure I can do it."

"Alright Hurricane, talk with Luna and good luck."

Hurricane went to Luna's room and found her resting on her bed. He sat down next to her, after going over what to say in his head he spoke to her.

"Luna? May I speak to you?"

"What do you want?" Luna snipped.

"Can you tell me, what's wrong?"

Luna then went on to explain what was wrong, and it was a shock to Hurricane what she brought to light.

"How can your parents be so cruel?"

"Ask them! I don't have the slightest clue!" Luna exclaimed before looking away.

"They just want you to learn to be a princess."

"What if I DON'T want to be one!" Luna snapped back.

Hurricane flinched from the outburst surprised by the anger in the filly princess.

Luna was soon weeping with tears streaming when Hurricane pulled her into a hug to comfort her as she let her anger and sadness out.

Luna nuzzled the pegasus at last finding some joy and comfort in his care.

"It'll be alright."

"I don't know…" Luna said skeptically.

"How about we go for a flight?"

"Okay...." Luna accepted nodding lightly; with that the two went out for a flight, Luna looked a little better as she flew through the sky.

"Feel better?"

"For now...." Luna consented when suddenly, a big gust of wind came in.

"What is that?..."

"I don't know." Hurricane said totally unprepared when the wind suddenly blew hard on Luna.

Luna screamed as the wind threatened to blast her from the sky.

"Help me!!"

Hurricane flew to rescue Luna and flew the pair to a nearby cave.

"What was that?!" Luna asked, shaken from the experience.

"I wish I knew." Hurricane replied holding Luna close, Luna huddled with him.

"This might have to do for the night." He said using his body to warm her.

Suddenly, they saw strange figures walk towards them. It was then, one of the figures spoke.

"Welcome."

"Who are you?..." Luna asked.

Another of the figures removed his hood revealing himself to be a griffon.

"I am Caspian, of the griffon clan. We have long awaited this day Princess."

The other griffons removed their hoods and bowed in respect to Luna confusing her.

"What?...." Luna responded in bewilderment.

"Come, our chief will be eager to see you." Caspian instructed.

Luna looked at Hurricane only for him to shrug and follow the griffons, with Luna staying with Hurricane; they arrived in an area in the cave where they met the griffon chief Seti.

Luna looked around the cave when Seti got her attention by speaking.

"A pleasure to meet you Princess Luna." Seti said invitingly.

Luna looked at him timidly cowering behind Hurricane.

"Easy there Luna." Hurricane said soothingly.

Luna then feeling bolder approached the griffon leader.

"Tell us, what brings you here?"

"A strong, scary wind was blowing…And we hid from it."

"I see."

"Why have you been waiting for me?"

"We were told that a princess would one day save us from suffering the harsh wilderness."

"How could I do that?" Luna asked showing continued confusion.

Seti told Luna the griffons' history. The Griffons were once a proud race living in grand cities. They had riches and glory beyond imagination. But one day, an earthquake came and destroyed their home. After that, life became hard for them. They tried seeking help from the pegasi, but they refused. Then, an earthpony told Seti about a young princess that could help save the griffons and capture the pegasi nation.

"WHAT?!" Hurricane asked in shock at the rather unnerving information he just heard.

"Your tribe neglected us in our time of need Hurricane." Seti said seriously.

"I was never informed about this!"

Tuya, Seti’s wife then spoke up, "That's because your tribe chose not to tell you."

"Let me help you."

"Me too." Luna spoke up, eager to help.

"Thank you both." Seti said praising the two.

"Soon as the weather improves, we all will head to my tribe and solve this problem." Hurricane pledged.

So it was, after the weather cleared, Hurricane, Luna, and Seti headed for the tribe. When they arrived, Hurricane ordered for the council to assemble.

"I have called this council for a reason most disturbing...I have learned that my tribe has ignored a cry for help."

The Council murmured to each other wondering what Hurricane was talking about; it was then Hurricane explained the whole thing, when he had finished one of the Council then spoke first.

"But Sir, we thought they'd be savage beasts wanting to eat us!"

"Hold your tongue! Also...it was a misunderstanding." Hurricane snapped then explained further.

The Council was stunned by the explanation into silence.

"Care to speak a few words Seti?" Hurricanes asked the griffon.

"You all shunned us while we were starving and suffering harsh conditions."

Hurricane looked on as Seti listed the grievances at the Pegasi hooves.

"You also had the nerve to keep this secret from Hurricane."

"Most upsetting." Hurricane said as he shook his head.

The Council could only hang their heads in guilt.

"This damage must and can be fixed." Hurricane decreed.

"How?" A Council member asked.

"Help the Griffons gather what they need."

"Of course, will give them as much food and drink as they need." The Council agreed.

"Excellent." Hurricane said pleased by the quick agreement toward immediate action about the injustice that had occurred.

The pegasi did what they promised. Luna was not satisfied enough though with the merciful and generous aid being given, for also there was one wrong unresolved...

"What's wrong Luna?" Hurricane asked taking notice of Luna's displeasure.

Luna told Hurricane that that most of the pegasi made her do hard work for them some days without him knowing.

"Is that so? Well I will deal with that."

"We should have them flogged in order to teach them a lesson ." Luna suggested, a hint of malice in her tone.

"Now now Luna....I will take care of them and you calm down."

"But Hurricane…" Luna protested.

"But nothing Luna, I will handle it I promise."

"Alright."

"I know you don't like harsh treatment...I feel for you." Hurricane sympathized.

"Thanks..."

"You're welcome Luna."

But deep down, Luna still wanted the pegasi to suffer even after Hurricane took care of the ponies who treated Luna badly...

"There, I dealt with them." Hurricane stated putting a hoof on Luna to comfort her.

"That's good....." Luna said with an ominous tone.

Luna actually all that time wasn't satisfied, her praise was an outright lie when finally something in her snapped, catching Hurricane off guard, someone swung a club on the back of his head knocking him unconscious!

Hurricane was out cold. When Hurricane came to, he found himself with shackles on his fore hooves.

"Wh-What?? Luna?!" Hurricane called out hoping she would be somehow nearby, she was but not the way he expected; out of the darkness came Luna. Behind her where Seti and Tuya wearing royal clothing.

"Luna??"

"Surprised aren't you?" Luna asked rather coldly with a sarcastic tone.

"Why?!" Hurricane asked in shock at the sudden betrayal.

"To get back at the pegasi for their cruelty...."

"What about ME?! After ALL I did for you?!"

"You were the only one who showed kindness to me. That's why I'm letting you stay with me in the palace of the new kingdom the griffons will rule. If you don't interfere with what we do." Luna stated.

Hurricane could look on in hurt and shock.

So it was, Luna and Seti made the pegasi work bitterly in hard bondage building the great kingdom of Egrypt. Meanwhile at the castle in the Everfree Forest...A guard rushed into the throne room.

"Your Highnesses!"

"What is it?" Fausta asked the panicked guard.

"What is going on?" Platinum asked as well.

"The pegasi....They've been enslaved by the griffons!" The guard exclaimed panting.

"WHAT?! HOW?! WHY?!" Solaris asked demanding an answer, he soon got one...

"They had the aid of Princess Luna."

"WHAT?!?!" Solaris roared in anger.

"Not Luna....." Platinum begged in horror.

"Why?...." Fausta asked begging for some answer to help her wounded heart find solace.

"I wish I knew." The guard said dejectedly.

"We are leaving at ONCE!!" Solaris boomed which the guard obeyed quickly.

"My Luna....." Fausta said beginning to weep.

Platinum sighed in sadness at the shocking development she witnessed.

Though they were not planning on moving yet they were stopped by a force-field made by Star Swirl so even if they wished they couldn't now.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Solaris asked in angered perplexity.

"I'm afraid it's hopeless at this point Solaris." Star Swirl stated glumly.

"HOW??"

"If you go there, Luna will kill you and Fausta where you stand."

"What for?...." Fausta asked already emotionally injured and seeking relief.

"For treating her badly." Star Swirl said hanging his head.

"Outrageous! We did no such thing!" Solaris spat.

"What mistreatment?" Fausta asked horrified at the revelation of this cause.

"I believe it was how you kept her from being awake at day." Star Swirl reasoned.

"Part of her training!" Solaris said to justify himself.

Fausta looked distressed at this news of her youngest foal gone rogue

"Oh Luna...." Platinum moaned in sorrow.

"I did not want the training to be harsh!" Star Swirl exclaimed.

"Neither did I!!" Platinum stated too.

"Enough of this!" Solaris ordered having enough.

"Solar please..." Fausta begged.

"NO! Luna needs to stop this at ONCE!"

Suddenly, a great force knocked Solaris to the ground, and he felt great power being drained from him.

"Wh-What....Is....Happening?....."

"You have been filled with too much pride and authority in your role as King. Now Amalthea has taken that title away from you." Star Swirl answered flatly.

"What?! NO!!"

"It is probably best Solar..." Fausta was cut off when Solaris stormed out.

"Seeing the damage done...it is." Platinum added while Solaris went to be confined to a secret room.

"All we can do now is pray that Amalthea will help the pegasi." Starswirl suggested.

"I pray the same...." Fausta said solemnly.

"I worried for Hurricane so much." Platinum said in a worried tone...

5 years later.....In Egrypt, the pegasi suffered greatly in their bondage, as they slaved away, they sang of the toil and pleaded for Amalthea to save them...

In the palace, a griffon official approached the griffon ruler with a report regarding the slaves.

"Great Seti, we've worked the pegasi harder every day, yet they thrive."

"Excellent! Where is Luna?"

Luna then came into the throne room right on cue.

"Ah! There you are~ How are you Luna?" Seti asked with a smile.

"Good. Seti, there's something important I need to tell."

"What is it Luna?"

"The number of pegasus ponies has grown larger by the day."

"I see...." Seti said showing concern.

"If this keeps up, they could start an army and overthrow us." Luna stated.

"Hmm....well, we should make sure that does not happen."

"We could send the guards to find every newborn male pegasus and throw them into the Nile River." A griffon advisor suggested.

"Hmm....brutal...I like it; how is Hurricane doing?"

"He's fine." Luna said casually. She was also shocked at the idea of filly newborn foal, but she spoke not a word in fear of being executed.

"Good; so let us enact this idea." Seti decreed.

So, the griffon guards did as Seti ordered and took the newly born foals of the slaves, at their great anguish.

"This shall keep them in line~" Seti chimed in dark joy.

Among the pegasi was a mare named Jochebed whose husband was named Amram. They had two foals: A filly named Miriam and a colt named Aaron. One day, she gave birth to a colt, but she was not going to let him die. She hid him for 3 months. When she could no longer hide him, she fashioned a basket out of bulrushes, waterproofed it with pitch and hid the basket among the reeds of the Nile.

"May Amalthea guide you my son." Jochebed said softly as she let her son drift away and to his destiny.

The basket floated out into the river. Miriam followed it wondering where Amalthea would guide her baby brother. Meanwhile, Tuya was coming down to bathe in the Nile when she noticed a strange basket floating near.

"What is this?" Tuya inquired as she opened the basket and found a weeping baby colt, and... She took pity on him.

"Aw~ There there little colt~" Tuya said to sooth the foal.

Luna who saw the whole thing felt sorry for the colt as well.

"It is most precious, what shall we name it?" Luna asked.

"Since I drew him from the water, I will name him....Moses." Tuya answered.

"A good name." Luna agreed.

So, Moses was raised as a Prince of Egrypt alongside his griffon brother Ramesses and his griffon sister Bithiah. Moses and Ramesses were close as any brother were. They would learn the ways of ruling a kingdom together as well as practicing combat. At times, they could cause mischief around the palace, especially when it came to chariot racing, Moses now 8 and Ramesses 11.

"Hey keep up!" Moses called to Ramesses.

"Second Born, Second Place!" Ramesses retorted in celebration as he rode ahead,

"Hardly!" Moses shouted back as he speeds up to catch Ramesses.

But by racing, they wrecked a monument that was currently being built...Seti was quite upset.

In the throne room the two were summoned by their irritated father.

"Why must you two be so reckless?!"

"Forgive me Father, It was all my Idea." Moses stated.

"I understand such actions would be dismissed but THIS? This is something you know better than, Ramesses."

Ramesses hung his head before answering, "Yes Father."

Seti sighed then and in a softer tone said, "Rameses you are my heir, I need to know you will be responsible enough to handle ruling the kingdom."

"I understand." Rameses replied.

"Good..now go on...that is all."

Rameses then left the room leaving Moses and Seti alone to talk further.

"Father, you know it was my fault. Must you be so hard on him?"

"Moses...You do not bear the same burden as he does...You will not know the weight of being a ruler."

"All he cares about is-...Is your approval, I know he will live up to your expectations; he only needs the opportunity."

"Hmm....Let me think on that."

Moses nodded to his father out of respect and left his father, when Moses had left Seti sighed tiredly.

Elsewhere, Moses was sowing a sack while whistling a melody when he found Rameses in a usual place he liked to be when seeking solitude.

"Well, that went well. Rameses? Where are you?" Moses called out knowing he was nearby.

Rameses was sitting by a statue surely enough.

"Ah there you are." Moses said with a smile.

"Why do you always get us in trouble?!" Rameses snapped at him.

"It is not like I try to!"

"Figures!" Rameses said rolling his eyes.

"Come on, don't be like this.."

"You're always looking for fun." Rameses said flatly.

"Aren't you too?"

"I'm trying to learn to be a great ruler, to be ready for when Father passes on."

"Doesn't mean you can't have a little fun." Moses reasoned.

Rameses simply turned his back to him.

"Come on loosen up Rameses." Moses said trying to cheer him up.

"With that sort of attitude, how can you possibly be a true prince?!" Rameses squawked, then walks off leaving a stunned Moses alone.

Moses sighs then walked off, Moses soon sat by the bank of the Nile pondering Rameses' words.

"Maybe he is right...but no, a little fun is alright, isn't it?"

Then a Ramesses hallucination in his mind snapped at him parroting what he said earlier and something else he said, "With that attitude how can you call yourself a Prince?! Moses isn't even a griffon!"

Moses cringed and sighed at that statement as just then, Hurricane walked up. Moses notices him and responds.

"Ah Hurricane! May I speak with you?"

"Of course."

"I have questions about being a prince…"

"Tell me." Hurricane said sagely.

"How do I act like one? Ramesses says I do not have the right attitude to be one...I have fun too much…"

"I suppose you're not taking your responsibilities seriously."

"Seti says I am not in line for the throne...So why be so serious if I will not be king?"

"Even if you're not the heir, you still need to take things seriously."

"I suppose I should...But what is wrong with enjoying yourself?" Moses sighed looked perplexed.

"You can still have fun, just not so much." Hurricane advised.

"That makes sense…"

"There, problem solved." Hurricane said with a soft smile.

"I can try…"

"I know you can."

"Thank you Hurricane."

"Anytime, happy to be of help."

"What brings you out here anyways?"

"I felt like getting fresh air. Also, I heard your little argument with Ramesses."

"You did?"

"Yes."

"Ramesses does need to have a little fun though...I mean well."

"I also heard him say you were not a griffon."

"I heard that too.."

"Well I should tell you....He's right."

"I know I am not a Griffon…But-..."

"You feel a like there's a missing part of you." Hurricane filled in.

"Perhaps...."

"Here's some advice, there is somepony in the area called Goshen who might help you know more about yourself."

"Where do I find Goshen? How do I find this pony?"

Hurricane told Moses how to find Goshen and how to find the hut where the pony lived.

"Thank you." Moses said as he walks away. That night, Moses put on a cloak and traveled to Goshen.

Moses looked around when he saw a filly gathering water from a well.

Moses walked to well when the filly saw him.

"Oh, greetings your Highness."

"Hello. Do you know where Goshen is?"

"It's around you, this is where I live."

'Oh...." Moses said looking around, "I was told by Hurricane that I was to find somepony, or something here."

"He did?"

"Yes."

"Why so?" the filly asked.

"I was told it would teach me how to be a Prince."

"Don't you learn that in the palace?"

"Apparently not fully....I have the wrong attitude my brother says…"

"Wrong attitude?"

"Apparently I like to have fun too much…"

"I'm not sure you can learn royalty from a slave."

"Neither do I...." Moses sighed, "I wonder why Hurricane sent me here…"

The Filly noticed something strangely familiar about Moses but could not put a hoof on it.

"I will leave now, thank you....?"

"Wait!" The filly said stopping him before looking into his eyes, "Could it be.....?"

"What? Who are you?"

"I'm Miriam. You're my baby brother."

Moses chuckled at this claim, "You must be mistaken."

"It's true, come with me!" She pleaded, Moses then decided to humor the older filly and followed, Miriam led Moses to a hut.

"Where are you taking me? What is true?"

"You'll see." Miriam said as she took Moses inside and was greeted by Aaron.

"I never thought I'd live to see this day."

"Hello....How do you know me beside being a Prince?"

"I can answer that." A mare said from out of sight.

A mare came up to Moses smiling at him. Moses felt like he knew this mare

"Who are you?.....You look....familiar…"

The mare sung a song that Moses seemed to recall as an infant.

Moses looks stunned and asked, "Who are you?...."

"Jochebed, your real mother."

"M-Mother?....YOU are my mother?....." Moses asked in disbelief.

Jochebed nodded softly.

"My mother....a slave?....I knew I was no griffon...But a pony slave?"

Jochebed told Moses the whole story, from Luna and the griffons enslaving the pegasi to the killing of the newborn colts to her hiding Moses in a basket in the Nile River.

"So that is how I was found?....No...it can't be...you lie!"

"There's a mural in the palace that can show the truth." Aaron said.

Moses looks at them in surprise. "How do you know?...."

"I worked at the palace on some occasions."

"I see....I will see for myself whether or not you speak truth."

Moses returned to the palace and found the mural that Aaron told him about. As he studied it, images of Griffon Soldiers taking the baby colts and throwing them in the Nile flashed before his eyes.

"No.....No.....It can't be...." Moses said staring in horror at the image he saw.

Seti having walked up after seeing him placed his talon on Moses’ shoulder.

"The Pegasi grew too numerous. They might have risen against us."

Moses on the brink of tears then said begging, "Father, tell me you didn't do this.'

"Moses, sometimes, for the greater good, sacrifices must be made."

"Sacrifices?" Moses asked not believing his ears.

Seti taking Moses tenderly into his arms spoke to comfort him, "Oh, my son... They were only slaves."

Moses could only look at him in disbelief and takes off in horrified disgust.

Later, Moses was sitting by the bank of the Nile again deep in thought. Just then, Tuya walked up, Moses does not notice her.

"Moses?"

"Is this where you found me?"

"Moses, please try to understand." Tuya said trying to control the situation.

"So everything I thought, everything I am...Is a lie."

"No! You are our son and we love you." Tuya said genuinely.

"Why did you choose me?"

"We didn’t Moses. The gods did."

Moses was in his room pondering his thoughts when Luna came in.

"Luna?" Moses said seeing her enter.

"Moses, You look troubled."

Moses explained why to her in detail.

"I see." Luna said trying to calculate what she heard and respond correctly.

"I don't know what to think...."

"Just do what your heart tells you."

"I am a Slave Pegasus child...Like the ones you had killed…"

Luna flinched at the harsh and blunt remark/observation.

"What am I to do about that?"

"I don't know. But maybe you should keep your true heritage a secret. If other griffons found out, they might kill you."

"I see...." Moses said looking lost in thought.

A month passed. One day Ramesses was at the building site, as Ramesses and Moses were over seeing a temple being worked on and Ramesses looked over plans on scrolls,he explained to Moses an insight he received.

"Last night, the gods granted me a vision. I'm not merely going to restore this temple, I will make it more grand, more splendid than any other one in Egrypt." Ramesses went on to explain.

Moses was mostly not paying attention and looked upon the pegasi working, but in seeing this, Moses was heartbroken to see the pegasi suffering as they toiled.

Moses cringed at their suffering.

"Moses!" Ramesses called out in a cheery tone getting Moses' attention again.

"Wh-What?"

"Look. Fate has turned our little misadventure into a great opportunity." Ramesses stated optimistically.

"Has it?..." Moses asked.

"Father did put me in charge of the monuments."

"I know that...I meant has our mess given us an opportunity?"

"Indeed it has."

"That is fortunate…" Moses said almost halfheartedly.

Later, Moses heard a gruff voice not to far from where he was.

"Get up, old stallion! Put your back into it!!!"

It was a Griffon Slave Driver striking an old pegasus slave with a whip, Moses was repulsed by the sight; the more Moses saw the old slave getting whipped the more he wanted to stop this, and then finally Moses had enough.

"Stop it! Stop! STOP IT!! Leave that pony alone!!" Moses ordered galloping toward the driver.

Moses jumped on the Griffon forcing him to the ground. When he got up, he found the griffon lying on the ground lifeless, for he had hit his head on a huge brick.

"What have I done?!" Moses said with a gasp.

The other slaves who witnessed it were shocked by what they had just saw.

Moses in his horrified shock backed up and took off galloping.

"Moses?" Ramesses asked concerned.

Moses ran past him and was running to the gate leading out of the city when Ramesses flew up to him.

"Moses!" Ramesses shouted trying to get his brother to stop.

"Let me go!"

"No, wait!"

"You saw what happened; I just killed a griffon!"

"We can take care of that! I-I will make it as if it never happened!" Ramesses said hoping it would appease him.

"Nothing you say can change what I've done!"

"I am Egrypt! The Morning and Evening Star; if I say, "day is night", it will be written! And you will be who I say you are." Ramesses said before placing his talons on Moses' shoulders to stop him, "I say you are innocent."

Moses shoved him away instead, "What you say does not matter! You don't understand... I can't stay here any longer!"

"Moses..." Ramesses said looking confused.

"No! All I've ever known to be true is a lie! I'm not who you think I am."

"What are you talking about?"

"Go ask the griffon I once called father." Moses said before making his escape.

"Moses-...?"

Moses paused and turned around. Ramesses, on the verge of tears, held out his talon and spoke in little more than a whisper.

"Please.."

Moses then said sadly, "Good-bye, Brother." before turning and runs into the desert.

"Moses!......... Moses!!!" Ramesses called after him, his heart broken and his mind perplexed and lost about what happened.

Moses wandered into the wilderness for many days. His life had become a wreck. No home, no family, no power.

Moses wandered a long ways before stumbling, in his frustration he tossed away all his regalia & jewelry except a gift he received from Ramesses.

One day, Moses heard the bailing of sheep, Moses moaning from exhaustion and thirst and struggles to find the source of noise, knowing where there was livestock there was water and food.

Moses saw a group of filly shepherds tending to their flock, watching them and stuck by as close as possible.

Just then, Amalekites attempted to push the girls away to water their goats while the girls resisted.

"Hey! Leave them alone!" He commanded weakly as he stumbles a little and tried to chase them off.

Moses jumped in and attacked the Amalekites and successfully scared them off, the fillies watched in amazement at Moses only to see him look exhausted from his act of heroism and fall into the well.

The fillies rushed over to help. Just then, another filly came over. Her coat was tan and her mane and tail were black.

"What are you girls doing?"

"Saving a funny pony from the Well." One of the younger foals said.

"Saving a funny pony from the Well. Well, that's one I've never heard before."

She then looked into the Well and after hearing Moses' pleas she gasps seeing him realizing it was the truth.

"Oh, my. Oh, uh, don't worry down there! Uh, we'll get you out. Hold on!" She said before helping to get Moses out.

"Thank you." Moses said gratefully as he was taken to a tent to be tended to.

"This is kind of all of you." He said kindly.

"Our pleasure." One of the other fillies said.

Moses could only reflect on everything up to this point, later that night the fillies brought Moses to a banquet.

Everypony was then seated shortly and Moses saw a bit of food and was ready to taste it when he was told to wait.

"Psst. Not yet." A filly said.

Moses puts the food down and spoke. "Oh sorry."

Just then, a big stallion came forth. This was Jethro, the leader of the land.

"My children, let us give thanks for this bountiful food. And let us also give thanks for the presence..."

He paused to motion toward Moses, "...Of this brave, young colt whom we honor here tonight."

The ponies of the camp cheered and applauded Moses for his selflessness.

"You are too kind, but what good did I do?"

"You defended my daughters from Amalekites." Jethro said warmly.

"I did that yes...1 good act I did with my life…"

"It seems you do not know what is worthy of honor."

"I perhaps need to learn don’t I?"

Moses was then taught something he took to heart by Jethro that would be his springboard toward the future.

Moses became a shepherd and watched sheep with the filly who got him out of the Well, whose name was Zipporah. 17 years later, Moses proposed to Zipporah and the two wed. Zipporah soon gave birth to a colt, Moses named him Gershom, because he had been a stranger in a strange land.

One day, Moses was watching the flock when, suddenly, a little lamb wandered off.

"Hey! Come back here! Where are you going?" Moses called, sighed in slight annoyance before giving chase; He followed the lamb up the mountain known as Sinai.

"Hey! Where you going??" He asked again as if expecting an answer.

As Moses followed the lamb, he noticed a strange light in a corner.

"What is this?"

Moses followed the light. When Moses came to the place of the light, he saw a bush that was on fire, yet it did not burn up.

"What?...." Moses said as he approaches bush.

Then, he heard a gentle yet powerful voice call his name.

"Moses........ Moses..."

"Here I am." Moses said timidly.

Suddenly out of the bush came a bright light which became a majestic white mare with a flowing mane and tail that was white and blue.

"Who are you?" Moses asked.

"I am Amalthea, the goddess of your father, of your ancestors: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."

"I do not feel worthy of being before you…" Moses said humbly.

"Do not be afraid." Amalthea said softly.

"What do you want from me?"

Amalthea replied solemnly, "I have seen the oppression of the Pegasi in Egrypt… And I have heard their cry."

"I know…" Moses said, confirming his own witness to the horror.

"So I have come down to deliver them out of slavery... and bring them to a good land, a land flowing with milk and honey. And so, unto the Griffon King, I shall send you."

"ME?? What can I do? I was a Prince, I was part of their suffering! You have the wrong pony…"

Amalthea calmly put a hoof under his chin, "Oh, Moses, I shall be with you when you go to the Pharaoh. But He will not listen. So I will stretch out My hoof... and smite Egrypt... with all My wonders."

Moses looked overwhelmed at being in such presence of power and authority.

"Take the staff in your hoof, Moses. With it, you shall do My wonders. Now go, I will be with you." She said before she disappears.

Moses looked at his staff and was blown away by this. Moses took off down mountain, and rushed back to the camp to tell Zipporah, Moses then told her all he was told and saw.

"But, Moses, you are just one stallion." Zipporah said trying to grasp what she was told.

"I know...But Amalthea says I can do it."

Zipporah turned away looking troubled, she didn't want him risking himself.

"You and your family are all free here, but in Egrypt my tribe are slaves...."

Zipporah seeing the truth in this and sensing the higher calling in it decided to show her support and smiles, "I'm coming with you."

"I would love that." Moses said lovingly.

So Moses took his wife and son, and returned to Egrypt, and he took the rod of Amalthea(his staff) in his hoof.

Nearing Egrypt, Moses and Zipporah were greeted by Aaron. They traveled quite a bit each way but arrived in Egrypt and saw the suffering, as they neared the palace Aaron said a short statement of encouragement.

"I will help you in any way I can brother."

Moses thanked Aaron as they entered the palace, Moses looked around the throne room where there was dancing females as entertainment, The Pharaoh held up his talon telling everyone to stop the entertainment. He looked at Moses amazed.

"Ramesses??" Moses said in surprise, it had been a long time after all.

"Moses? Is it really?" Ramesses said joyfully, but Moses saved him the walk and approached him.

Ramesses chuckled in delight and embraced him. "Moses!"

"Ramesses! Look at you...Pharaoh?"

"Well, look at you. What on earth are you dressed as?" Ramesses asked looking perplexed and amused.

"I'm a Sheppard…"

The two were happy to see each other again and were about to go over more about what they each did with their time apart, when the high priests interfered.

"We are compelled to remind you this stallion committed a serious crime against the gods." The, heavier yet shorter priest said, his name was Hotep.

"We are loathe to bring it up, mind you." Huy added.

"The law clearly states the punishment for such a crime-..." Hotep went on saying

"...Death!" Huy cut in.

"We hesitate to say it..." Hotep finished trailing off.

"Be still." Ramesses interrupted. "Pharaoh speaks. I am the morning and the evening star. It shall be as I say. I pardon forever all crimes of which he stands accused... And will have it known that he is... Our brother Moses, the Prince of Egrypt."

"Ramesses...you know that is not true…"

Ramesses looked to Moses in confusion at the sudden remark.

"You know what I am...and the Goddess of the Earth has a command for you."

"What?" Ramesses could only reply still trying to make sense of his adopted brother's words.

"She commands that you let the Pegasi go..."

"Commands?" Ramesses asked, tilting his head further confused.

Moses then held up his staff, "Behold...the power of Amalthea..." He then banged his staff to the ground and it became a cobra.

Despite the display Ramesses only smirked in amusement before dryly replying.

"Well, uh....Impressive. Hmm....Very well Moses, I'll play along." He chuckles before turning to his Priests.

"Give this snake charmer our answer." He ordered backing off to return to his throne to watch this unfold as if it was another act for his entertainment.

His priests then did as he commanded while also making a show out of it for the crowd trying at the same time to make it a statement to humiliate Moses.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQ39HEYysOA&ab_channel=SteveMartin-Topic

Ramesses' priests countered Moses by turning two staffs into snakes as well as trying to prove their gods' superiority over Amalthea, but when the priests' snakes attacked the snake of Moses, his snake attacked and with ease ate the two snakes before returning to Moses' side and reverting to his staff.

Ramesses, still unconvinced beckoned Moses into another room, which was another Throne Room, the very same Seti spoke to them in years ago.

"All right, Moses. I know you. What's this really about?" Ramesses asked chuckling, thinking Moses was up to his old ways again as if things picked up where they left off.

But things were not the same and Moses was in no jestering mood, he meant business and got Ramesses on track by asking.

"Ramesses...look out there, what do you see?"

Ramesses humored him by walking to the observation spot beside Moses, taking a moment to scan the sight of the city and the buildings he gave his view.

"A greater Egrypt, than that of my father."

"That is not what I see…"

"Moses, I cannot change what you see..." Ramesses stating, chuckling due to trying to understand what Moses was getting at.

"I have to maintain the traditions, I bear the weight of my father's crown." He finished as he sat on the throne.

"Do you know what kind of King Seti was??" Moses asked trying to stress a greater matter Ramesses was oblivious to.

"He was a great leader..."

"He ordered the death of foals!" Moses corrected.

"Slaves." Ramesses explained dismissively.

"My kind! I will not stand by and let them suffer...by your talon and Luna's hoof…" Moses informed with no less a heavy heart.

"So...You have returned...Only to free them." Ramesses realized, showing sadness upon getting the idea.

"Indeed…...I'm sorry." Moses said softly as her returns his gift from Ramesses.

The item given to him out of trust and brotherly love, to be by his side in Ramesses' work he did for Egrypt....All that was being returned, ending what they had in one act.

Ramesses took the gift in his talon, feeling hurt from this gesture of Moses.

"Yes. I had hoped...That-..." Ramesses could not even finish his thought before his emotions shifted sharply!

His face then turned to anger and authority as he stood up and returned the crown to his head.

"I do not know this Goddess, neither will I let your tribe go." Ramesses stated as he scornfully made his way out past Moses.

"Ramesses, please! You must listen!" Moses begged only to be cut off.

"I WILL NOT BE THE WEAK LINK!" Ramesses screeched pointing a talon at him, Moses could only stare in silence as he made his way to the door.

"Tell your tribe, as of today...Their workload has been doubled, thanks to your Goddess. Or is it thanks...To you?." Ramesses said as he shut the door in front of Moses

Moses could only sigh in defeat knowing what had been done and what may occur.

Later Moses eventually left the palace, out in the yard where the Pegasi slaves were working, Moses walked by them as he made his way.

After hearing Ramesses' decree of a doubled workload, there were many angered by Moses being the supposed cause of their increased strife...So one slave decided to exact his anger on Moses when he noticed him and struck him with mud used for making bricks.

Moses stumbled and fell from the impact.

"Moses!" Zipporah shouted in shock as she and Aaron rushed to his aide, a young pegasus stallion named Seth walked up and began to speak his mind.

"So, Moses, how does it feel when you get struck to the ground?" He asked derisively.

"I am sorry...I did not mean for this to happen...I was just doing what Amalthea to me." Moses said weakly, knowing they were angry and had a right to be.

"Amalthea? Pff. When did Amalthea start caring about any of us? In fact, Moses, when did you start caring about slaves? Was it when you found out that you were one of us?!"

"Don't listen to him..." Zipporah said glaring at Seth while posturing protectively by Moses.

"I only rejected what I did not wish to see…" Moses explained weakly trying to alleviate the situation.

"Oh, you rejected what you did not wish to see. Ah! Well, that makes everything fine then, doesn't it?" He retorted sarcastically.

"Seth!" A voice called out rebukingly, walking up was an older Hurricane; as ponies let him pass, he made it to Seth and rebuked further.

"You shame yourself."

Hurricane then made his way to Moses who acknowledged the elder pegasus.

"Moses, hear what I say. I have been a slave...Most of my life, and Amalthea has never answered my prayers until now. Amalthea saved you from the river, She saved you in all your wanderings, and even now She saves you from the wrath of Pharaoh. Amalthea will not abandon you, so don't you abandon us."

Moses, encouraged by those words took to his hooves and stood.

Moses then walked to the Nile River to as they found out was a hunt for Ramesses, he found him; Ramesses was on a boat with his wife Nefertari and their son while the priests were entertaining the young prince.

"Ramesses!!! Let my tribe go!!" Moses ordered as he ran to the river bank.

"Ha! Still gnawing away at that bone, are we?" Ramesses said slightly amused before turning to his guards. "Carry on."

"You cannot ignore me forever Ramesses!"

"Enough! I will hear no more of this Pony nonsense." Ramesses said having enough he turned to his guards. "Bring him to me."

The guards wade the river to make it to him but Moses held his ground. Just then, Amalthea spoke to him.

"Take the staff in your hoof, Moses."

Moses did as he was told and as soon as he did, the river began to turn crimson red, at first they were unsure what it was; the guard then tested the water, soon after Ramesses' son tested it...His talon was painted red.

Soon they realized the river was turned to blood!

The guards then ran in a panic back to the boat to escape the horror they were in, as they frantically tried to get on the boat they splashed blood on Ramesses who was already horrified and frightened more when he was coated in blood.

"Hotep! Huy! Explain this to me!" He squawked in terror.

The priests then awkwardly tried to compose themselves before speaking.

"Ah great pharaoh, we shall now show the might of OUR god..." It was then Hotep subtly took red powder from under his sleeve and shouted."By the power of Ra!" Before casting the powder into the bowl of water Huy held, the powder swirled before turning the water red as well.

Ramesses tested the red water dipping his claw to see if it was the same...Honestly it wasn't but to Ramesses it was, and chuckling he turned toward Moses who was standing in perfectly clean water surrounded by blood only inches away from the bank.

"Abandon this futile mission, Moses. I've indulged you long enough, this must now be finished."

"No Ramesses, it is only the beginning...." Moses said lowly.

"But, Moses, d-didn't you see what happened? The priests did the same thing! Pharaoh still has the power over our lives." Seth said dejected.

Moses turned to them. "That is true, Ramesses does have power, he can take your home, your food, your sons and daughters; he can even take your very lives...." But there is one thing he cannot take away, your Faith. Believe, for we will see Amalthea's wonders."

So it was, Amalthea sent terrible plagues on Egrypt. But with each one, Ramesses hardened his heart...

Soon, Moses visited Ramesses, Ramesses was sitting on the statue like he use to when he was younger.

"I was hoping I'd find you here."

"Get out!" Ramesses squawked as he threw a cup at Moses.

Moses sighed and sat by the statute, before recalling old memories.

"This place...so many memories."

Moses then recalled with a chuckle switching animal head jars' head's in a temple.

"If I recall correctly, you were there switching heads right along with me."

"No that was you, I didn't do that…" Moses said while trying to recollect the details but Ramesses stepped in hopping from his perch.

"Oh, yes, you did. You put the hippo on the crocodile, and the crocodile-..." Ramesses was interrupted when Moses finally remembered.

"...On the falcon..."

"Yes! The priest thought it was a horrible omen and fasted for two months! Father was furious! You were always getting me into trouble!" Ramesses ranted but paused when he too remembered a happy and funny detail.

"But then-...." He chuckled before adding, "You were always there to... Get me out of trouble again....Hmmph...." He sighed. "Why can't things be the way they were before?" He asked with kindness of long ago.

Moses gave a look of mutual agreement.

Out of the darkness came Ramesses' wife Nefertari and their son Amun who was holding a torch.

"Father. It's so dark. I'm frightened...."

Ramesses rushed over to comfort him when Nefertari saw Moses.

"Why is he here? Isn't that the stallion who did all this?" She asked bitterly.

"Yes. But one must wonder...Why?" Ramesses asked turning to Moses with an interrogating glare.

"Because no kingdom should be built on the backs of slaves...Ramesses, your stubbornness is what’s bringing this misery upon Egrypt, it will only cease if you let my tribe go."

"I will not be dictated to. I will not be threatened. I am the Morning and Evening star. I am Pharaoh..." Ramesses said beginning to seethe again.

"Something's happening, something is coming! Please! Let go of your anger, jealousy, and pride before it causes MORE harm; think of your son!!" Moses pleading near tearfully pointing at Amun.

"I do. You Pegasus Ponies have been nothing but trouble. My father had the right idea about how to deal with your tribe...."

"Ramesses...." Moses called looking panicked as Ramesses devolved into a rage fueled act of authority.

"And I think it's time I finished the job..."

"Ramesses!!" Moses shouted trying to make him stop, pleading...BEGGING to have him cease before he said and ordered something he would regret.

"And there shall be a great cry in all of Egrypt... Such as never has been or ever will be again!"

Moses could only stand in shock and horror at what he just heard knowing that was the end of it...What happened next was out of Moses' hooves...

"Ramesses you bring this upon yourself...." Moses warned sorrowfully.

Meanwhile in Goshen, Moses gathered and told the pegasi of Amalthea's instructions which would become the first Passover.

"Now we wait and prepare for Amalthea's last plague...This is her command...Take a lamb and with it's blood, mark the lintel and posts of your doors. And for those with blood on your door, the angel of death shall pass over you, but those who do not will face the death of the firstborn in your home."

While they were eating the Passover meal, a knock was heard at the door; Moses opened it to find Luna and Moses' griffon sister Bithiah.

"Come inside quick!" Moses hastily invited as they then rushed inside.

"What brings you here?"

"I felt ashamed of what I did to your tribe and thought I'd join you once your free. Also, Bithiah wanted to be with her pony brother." Luna explained hanging her head.

"I see, I understand your reason and am pleased."

At Midnight, the angel of death came and sought out homes for it's target.

"Stay from the windows and doors…" Moses warned.

They did so. The angel of death killed all the firstborn griffons, but passed over the homes that had the lambs blood on the doors.

"Try to stay strong...Despite the suffering.." Moses encouraged even though his heart ached.

They did. Then, as Ramesses predicted but for a reason he didn't expect nor could ever plan....A great cry did rise up through Egrypt.

Moses sighed and served food and drinks trying to ignore the suffering outside...

Later the next day, Moses walked to the palace to find Ramesses, he found him and Nefertari at an altar to Horus, the god related to death with their now dead son laying upon a slab in the statue's arms.

Moses sighed and approached knowing that Ramesses was greatly angered and in deep mourning, Ramesses knew he was there but didn't bother to make eye contact before speaking.

"You and your tribe... have my permission to go."

Moses moved to comfort him and looks at Nefertari sympathetically trying to convey his regrets for what happened.

"Leave us!" Ramesses ordered, his voice breaking from his grief.

Moses turned and left but said just when he was almost out of range, "I did not ask for this...."

Ramesses looked back with anger and hatred saying nothing to Moses.

Moses then found a pillar a ways from Ramesses and wept...The death of his adopted brother's son hurt him deeply...That and the schism between him and Ramesses, atop the suffering caused.

Moses walked back to Goshen with his head down, he knew the good that came but didn't like the means to this end.

Moses saw his wife and confessed, "I feel so guilty...."

"You were only doing what Amalthea said." Zipporah explained, trying to ease the hurt Moses felt.

"I know this...But Ramesses and I are like brothers...His son then is like my kin!" Moses croaked looking hurt still.

Zipporah hugged him in comfort to help him know he wasn't alone in this pain over hardship and suffering that had to happen.

It was then Miriam and Luna walked out to them.

"Glad you can join us Luna…"

"I do want to see my family again." Luna confessed.

"Couldn't agree more." Hurricane said slowly walking up;

So the Pegasi grabbed all their things and left Egrypt for freedom at last.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ipTOrO0vF0&ab_channel=MichellePfeiffer-Topic

The Pegasi soon came to the Red Sea and camped there, as they rested and spoke amongst themselves enjoying the freedom they longed for so long being far from the bondage that plagued them, as they rested Moses took the time to smile upon his race being free at last.

But such peace was rudely interrupted when a stallion sounded a warning horn, Moses hearing this turned and saw why he was sounding.

It was Ramesses with an army of chariots! They were going back on their word and sought to kill them! Or enslave whomever they spared if that was their aim.

"Don't panic!" Moses ordered before looking to Luna like she may have an idea, "Luna?"

"This is all my fault, If I hadn't betrayed Hurricane none of this would've happened." Luna said with remorse.

Suddenly, out of the sea, came a giant pillar of fire. The Pillar blocked Ramesses' path!

"Amalthea is protecting us! Hurry!" Moses stated seeing the window of opportunity to escape, but where to go? They had a sea in front of them!

"But Moses, There's a big storm coming and the sea is in our way!" Seth observed.

But Moses recalled what Amalthea told him and had an idea perhaps told to him by the Great Lady herself as he then walked to the sea and stood in the wake of it.

Moses raised his staff above his head and remembered Amalthea's words: ‘With this staff, you shall do... My wonders!’

Moses slammed his staff and the sea parted!

Suddenly the sea became two great walls of water(one on each side) creating a clear path many miles apart, one would think the whole sea had been emptied. Everypony including Luna were amazed.

"Amalthea is with us! Follow me!" Moses said as he lead them through, not only was the sea gone but the seabed was itself another divine miracle, for the bed was bone dry!

They all followed Moses through the seabed now dry as the desert they crossed to reach it, the sight was awe inspiring.

"Quite something is it?" Moses remarked.

"Yes it is...Amalthea has provided." Luna replied.

They continued their journey. As they neared the end of the sea on the opposite side, the fire that held back the griffons died down; Moses' keen eyes saw this.

"Hurry!!" He ordered as he encouraged them to pick up the pace.

The griffons charged into the sea with the intent of taking them while they were exposed.

"KILL THEM ALL!!!!" Ramesses yelled to his army as they charged.

Moses continued to hasten the pegasi's escape.

The griffons were now getting closer, Moses was worried. Suddenly, the walls of water started going down. The water came down on the griffons drowning them except Ramesses who was thrown back to the other side.

"Praise Amalthea!" Hurricane cheered, the Pegasi cheered; Moses meanwhile watched the sea looking for Ramesses but he did not find him as the distance was too great.

Ramesses while on the other side could only in anger yell Moses' name, whether Moses would hear it or no...

"Goodbye Ramesses…" Moses sighed before looking to his wife.

"Look at your tribe Moses. They are free." Zipporah said to him with joy.

"Yes they are." Moses agreed.

They continued on their journey until they reached Solaris and Fausta's palace. Moses, Zipporah, Aaron, Miriam, Hurricane and Luna walked to the royal gardens where they found Solaris(recovering little of his strength), Fausta, Platinum, and Celestia.

"Hurricane? Luna?" Platinum asked surprised to see them again so many years later.

"Hello again Platinum." Hurricane tiredly said only to be embraced by Platinum.

"You caused quite the havoc Luna.." Solaris said weakly yet sternly.

Starswirl cleared his throat at Solaris while raising an eyebrow to remind Solaris of what started all this, Solaris then softened his approach to his greeting of his returning youngest.

"But I am pleased to see you have returned." Solaris added with a sigh and softer tone.

"Thank you Father." Luna said politely.

"I missed you daughter." Fausta said hugging Luna tightly with tears in her eyes.

"I missed you too Mother." Luna replied to her warmly, when Celestia then approached and embraced her.

"So sorry Luna…"

"I forgive you Tia." Luna said returning the embrace, Celestia nuzzled her sister tenderly happy to see her family whole once more.

Later, Moses brought his tribe, the Unicorns, and the Earth Ponies to the mountain where Amalthea tasked him. Amalthea wanted him there again. Moses went up the mountain with his young helper, Joshua. He stayed there 40 days and 40 nights. Back at the camp, everypony was beginning to doubt.

"Moses has been up there forever, he's probably dead!" A stallion shouted from the crowd.

The ponies frustrated by Moses' absence and Amalthea's inactivity had Aaron make them a god of their own: A Golden Calf. On the Mountain, Amalthea was speaking to Moses.

"Moses, I give to you the way to live. I give to you my Ten Commandments. Remember and teach them for the rest of time." Amalthea declared.

She then spoke her commandments, one by one she stated them and wrote them in stone with a word.

1: I am the Lady your Goddess, you will have no other gods before me.

2: You will not worship any graven image.

3: You will never take my name in vain.

4: Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy.

5: Honor your Father and your Mother.

6: You will not murder.

7: You will not commit adultery.

8: You will not steal.

9: You will not bear false witness against your neighbor.

10: You will not covet anything that is your neighbor's.

Moses then took them and walked back down to his tribe to present them, when he did, Joshua met him.

"The light of Amalthea shines from you Moses."

"What is that?" Moses asked hearing something in the distance.

"Sounds like swords attacking."

"That's not war, it's celebration..."

Moses and Joshua went back to the source of the revelry.

Ponies were celebrating in sinful behaviors, all while paying tribute to the gold statue in drunken display of pagan worship and partying.

"It's Moses!" A pony shouted, this ceased all actions and eyes locked on Moses as he appeared, soon joy turned to fear, and amusement turned to shock as they felt convicted for their sin.

"What is this blasphemy I see before me?!" Moses roared in shock and anger. "You are not worthy of these Commandments that Amalthea has given me! Who is responsible for this?"

Aaron knew that he was in trouble, he walked up to Moses with his head down.

" I am..." He confessed.

"Aaron? Why?"

"Everypony made me do it, they were afraid."

"Afraid of what?"

"They thought you were dead. They wanted a god who would lead them to happiness."

"Amalthea would provide for us! And you decide to commit heresy with this??"

Aaron hung his head in sadness and shame in reply.

"This is what I think of your golden god!" Moses stated as he threw the tablets at the calf.

The tablets shattered and the golden calf melted, suddenly, there was an earthquake. The earth opened and swallowed the sinners, they went down alive into the pit and the earth closed upon them, they died before Amalthea.

Much later after the display of anger on Amalthea's part, miles away, Star Swirl reported the destruction of the Laws.

"Amalthea's laws have been destroyed."

"How?" Solaris asked.

"Ask Moses..." He replied flatly.

"He destroyed them??"

"He did."

"Why would he do that?"

"It was because of the sins the ponies did."

"They would have to be terrible for such an act...."

Back on the mountain, Amalthea gave Moses another set of tablets. Moses came back down from the mountain and told the Commandments to the ponies. Amalthea then gave the ponies instructions to build an ark to house the tablets. They were to also to build a tabernacle. It was done. The tabernacle was ornate. And so was the Ark.

Inside the tabernacle, Moses was speaking with Amalthea.

"How long will these ponies disobey me? How long will they turn their backs on all I have done for them? Perhaps I should just abandon them."

"Please...Do not forsake them....They need guidance."

"I will pardon them Moses, but not one of them will see the promised land, they must all wonder the wilderness until the last of their generations are gone. Their children, and their children's children will make the final journey without them."

"Yes Amalthea."

Because of the ponies' sins, they were forced to wander the wilderness for 40 years, until the older generation passed on.

40 years passed, and Moses(now 65) was reflecting on his life

"I was a prince of Egrypt, son of slaves now free, and now my tribe will enter a promised land for themselves. Though I am denied entry, I will not be sad, I am not denied favor from Amalthea."

Aaron, Miriam, and Hurricane all passed and went to see Amalthea. Soon, Moses would join them. Days later, Moses called his tribe together and gave one last speech.

Moses spoke to his tribe words of wisdom and advice, he then chose the new leader.

"The one who will lead you in my place shall be Joshua."

Joshua walked forward upon being selected and stood before Moses.

"Lead them well Joshua."

"I will Moses, I shall lead wisely and justly."

"Listen to him! Remember, Amalthea is with us!"

The Pegasi nodded in agreement, this pleased Moses.

So, Joshua led them to the promised land to make Equestria a wonderful place. Moses climbed Mount Nebo and looked at the Promised Land and it's beauty.

"Keep them strong and well lead Amalthea." Moses prayed.

So Moses died there, nopony knows his resting place to this day but there hasn't been a prophet in Equestria since like Moses, the one pony, who knew Amalthea...Face to face.

Today, a statue of Moses stands in tribute to him, and to the work done in Amalthea's name.

THE END....
