> Equestria X Zone > by MetalJrock > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > A Flashy Cold Opening > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Bring it on, girls!" A man wearing blue-tinted goggles and a parka of the same color held out his strangely designed gun and pulled the trigger, releasing a frosty blue beam that generated ice and covered whatever he was aiming at into frost and snow. He gritted his teeth, trying to scare the ones he was trying to stop, keeping his other hand on the bag filled with money and gold tightly gripped. "Really, Rainbow?" Sunset muttered, recalling that her friend tried to attack him. "What? He had a gun!" the cyan girl asked. Applejack grunted, throwing a rock in the man's way, but he froze it, causing it to fall on the concrete. "But we could'a had the element of surprise on 'em at least!" The girls dived to the sides, dodging the beam momentarily. Sunset groaned, "Can any of you reach him before he hurts someone?" she asked one of her friends. On their way home from school, the girls spotted a strangely dressed figure walking into the bank with that gun. Obviously, he was trying to rob it and here they were, making sure he doesn't freeze them or anyone else outside now that he left, having waited to take action until everyone else was gone. "Who even are you?" asked Rainbow Dash. The man smirked, "Captain Cold. I'm just here to make some cash. None of you need to get involved." "Yeah. We do." Rainbow boasted. Captain Cold nearly shot Sunset, but she rolled again, avoiding the beam once again. "This ain't gonna last long, lady. What do you have against me?" he asked. Sunset narrowed her eyes, "You threatened a bank teller with your gun and stole their money. That's all." "I'm just doin' what I do best, miss." Cold snarked. He pulled the trigger on his ice gun again and shot another beam. "Just make an exit and nobody gets hurt." Suddenly, a yellow blur of lightning revealed itself, speeding past the girls in seconds, dragging wind with it. The blur began to surround Captain Cold, a smirk seen on his features, "Well, well... About time you showed up, my old friend." he joked. Before Captain Cold could shoot his gun, a fist uppercutted his face and was knocked on his back, falling onto the concrete floor. Standing before him was another man, thin in stature and wearing a red suit with a cowl that covered his face. Yellow trail lines were seen on the sides of his suit and there was a lightning bolt insignia on the chest of his costume. He had his arms on his hips and gave Cold a pretty confident grin before grabbing his gun again. "Who is that?" Fluttershy asked. Rarity put a hand on her chin and observed the stranger, "I don't know, but I must say, I rather like the design of the suit." The red-clad figure folded his hands, "Are we really doing this dance again, Snart? I thought we moved on from this?" he asked. Captain Cold gritted his teeth, "I'm just doing the old cat and mouse chase, Flash. Gotta fill the status quo somehow." The Flash shrugged, "I guess so. I'll take--" "Hey!" Sunset Shimmer called out, "How do any of you know each other? What is even happening right now?" Turning around, the Flash held up Cold by his thick hood and restrained him, "Sorry about that. I'm the Flash... And this does not look like Central City." "What was your first clue, genius?" Snart quipped. "For the Fastest Man Alive, you're rather slow on picking things up." The Flash raised a brow, "Can any of you girls fill me in on what he's doing here? Who are you anyways?" Once introductions were out of the way: Rainbow, Applejack, Pinkie, Rarity, Twilight, Fluttershy, and Sunset formally said their names, Pinkie Pie inhaled, "Well, we were on our way to Sugarcube Corner from school, but we found him with his strange cold gun out and he was robbing the bank. Luckily, nobody got hurt we faced him for a bit and then you randomly showed up!" she explained in a single breath, refusing to pause in between sentences. Dropping the cold gun, the Flash looked around, "How we even got here is a better question. One minute I was in the Speed Lab, trying to improve myself, then suddenly I found myself running around here. Gotta say, rather surprised to see Snart here of all people." "Had the same reaction as you, hero." Cold admitted,"Thought you weren't here and decided to perform a quick heist. Guess I was wrong in that regard." Rainbow Dash raised her hands, "Hold on. Did you say you were the Fastest Man Alive?" Applejack gave the cyan girl a blank stare, "That's all ya took from this, Rainbow?" "...I think I am anyway. I'm the Flash back in Central City." Flash replied to Rainbow. "And I have no idea where we're at." Twilight Sparkle nudged the boastful girl's shoulder, "C-Can that wait, Rainbow?" "Why?" asked Dash. Fluttershy pointed to the sky, "Because of that!" With everyone looking upwards, all of them shielding the sun with their hands, they saw something bizarre in the sky. A purple and red vortex opened up and sent crackles of lightning around the center. Suddenly, it opened up and strange objects began to fall from it, beginning their descent onto the streets below. The figures were otherworldly in appearance. They were black and red with spiky protrusions on their shoulders. Once they landed, they practically tore apart the surface their feet were on, from solid concrete to the hoods of empty cars. "Do you know what these are too?" Sunset secretly hoped. The Flash shook his head, "I've never seen them before in my life. They look like edgy aliens." "Ditto." Cold added. A car accidentally found itself in the course of the aliens and the creature swung his arm backwards, causing the vehicle to be sent flying. In a panic, the Flash released Captain Cold and chased after it, but found it caught frozen in a strange aura. Turning his head, the Flash saw that Sunset extended her palm, it glowing the same color. "Um... Is that normal for you all?" he asked. "My magic? Unicorn magic?" Sunset whispered. Trying to focus, she gently dropped the car back on the floor, allowing the driver to escape, a quick thanks heard as they retreated. Captain Cold pursed his lips, "Excuse me. Did you just say unicorn magic?" "Yeah. She comes from a world of ponies, and was a unicorn!" Pinkie explained. "Ever since she showed up magic was found within each of us standing here!" "...Right. And I'm a time-traveller." Snart joked. The Flash ran back, "Can anyone else do that? We may need the extra hands in stopping these things. In fact..." he zipped off and handed Cold his Ice Gun. "What do you say, Snart? Think about it, if these aliens reach our world, then there'd be nothing left for you to do." he warned. "Why'd you give him back his gun?" Twilight asked in disbelief. The Flash narrowed his eyes at Captain Cold, "Because I know that deep down, there is some good in him." he admitted. "And if he does anything funny, I'll knock him out and put him in a personal cell in STAR Labs." a smirk formed on Cold's face as he held up his gun. But instead of shooting the Flash like the girls initially thought, he blasted an alien, knocking them back with a beam of frosty blue. "For now, Flash. But we're settling the score once this is all said and done." decided Captain Cold, "Rather help you than be dead by aliens." "See?" Flash said. Sunset looked to her friends, "All right. We need to figure this out. Fluttershy, Rarity, Twilight. Head to Canterlot High and grab my journal! We need to see if Princess Twilight has any idea why this is happening! The rest of us will hold off these aliens." "U-Uh... Okay!" Fluttershy squeaked. "Do be careful all of you!" Rarity warned. "J-Just come back safe, please." Twilight could be heard. The three of them were out of sight, leaving the remaining heroes to fend against the surprise visitors. Sunset narrowed her eyes, "Alright, girls. Focus your magic." she said. Rainbow Dash, Pinkie and Applejack closed their eyes for a moment. Wuddenly pony ears began to form on their heads and their hair began to grow longer, reaching below their back. Auras surrounded their bodies and they crouched slightly, ready to attack. The Flash was the first to move, unprepared for a rainbow blur to trail next to him, circling an alien. Rainbow gave the Flash a smug grin, the superhero finding wings on her back. "Nice surprise. Reminds me of a friend of mine." he said, referring to Hawkgirl. "Thanks. Gotta show you real speed somehow." Rainbow boasted. Applejack uppercutted one of the aliens, using her inner strength to knock them back. Pinkie giggled using her confetti abilities to surprise the creature, distracting him from the Flash, who kneed it in the face as hard as he could, making them fall backwards with the power of the Speed-Force enhancing his punch temporarily. Sunset used her unicorn magic, still getting used to having it again and made a levitation spell to hold up one of the aliens, keeping it still and throwing it aside. By holding it back, she allowed any civilians to escape. Once the area was evacuated, Captain Cold snarled and charged his gun, blasting the creature with an ice beam, shooting them and freezing them. "Some magic you got there." snarked Captain Cold, lowering his weapon for a moment. "Haven't used it in years," the former pony admitted, raising her hands. Debris began to levitate and the magic user began to toss them in the aliens' direction. Captain Cold smirked and used the end of his gun to smack one of the alien mooks once he neared them, making their head snap back. As another tried to attack him, he ducked and shot them with an ice beam, creating a kinetic ice blast that knocked them unconscious. The Flash ran and swerved his body, dodging the laser one of the goons had. Applejack got closer to them and her knee collided with the alien's torso, making them stumble backwards. Rainbow flew above them and dove down, driving her fists into the backs, pushing them forwards, bringing their face to the floor. What they didn't realize though were that more aliens were beginning to arm themselves with lasers and brgan to shoot at the small group. Captain Cold and Sunset tried to hold them back as much as possible and Pinkie even attempted to combust their weapons, but it seemed that more showed up each passing second. Applejack landed a punch to one, "Is there anyway we can stop 'em before they wreck the whole darn city?" The Flash groaned, trappin an alien in a cyclone if lightning, making them dizzy. Once he was done, he threw his lightning forward and hit a few, shocking them and making them pass out. "Okay. That was only good once. I think I'm running out of space." he muttered, seeing the aliens circle them closer and closer. "That was cool! I gotta learn how to do that!" Rainbow admitted, taking to the skies. She descended and knocked back a few aliens with ell-timed ounches and kicks, but it did nothing to dwindle their numbers and did very little. Captain Cold growled and shot at them, freezing a few. "I don't think we can keep this up." Applejack gulped. Snart gritted his teeth, "God damn it, I'll try!" Sunset exhaled, "Even I'm starting to feel drained. I'm not used to having this much magic again." "Well, we can't give up!" Rainbow shouted, covering her enemies in a rainbow blur, making them spin around in a cartoony manner. She kicked them down with ease after that, but then took a blast to the back, making her fall down and scream in pain. Luckily the Flash caught her and gently placed her on her feet. "You alright?" the Scarlet Speedster asked. Rainbow held her back and rubbed it, "Y-Yeah, just stinging a little." she lied. "Ow..." Pinkie folded her arms, "That wasn't very nice, aliens!" they shot back in response, prompting Cold and Sunset to shoot back as a result to defend themselves. "I don't think they were trying to!" Snart yelled. However, before any of them could respond, a strange blue blur surrounded them and circled them, knocking the aliens back a little and distracting them. While they weren't focused on the heroes, Sunset, the Flash, Pinkie, Rainbow, Applejack and Cold took the rest of the aliens out, seeing that they were disarmed thanks to the mysterious blue blur. Once they were done, they panted, clearly worn out from the battle. "Who... did... that?" Sunset huffed and panted. "That was a pretty snazzy performance there!" yelled a cocky voice. Hearing the voice, the ragtag group looked up to the top of a nearby building. Standing on the roof was a tall, blue spiky creature with large cartoony gloves and red shoes. A confident smirk was seen on his muzzle as he turned to the group. "Not bad fight out there. Now, can any of you tell me where I'm at? I've travelled the world and I've never seen a place like this before." he questioned, raising his voice so that he could be heard. "Who are you?" The spiky stranger wagged a finger, "I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog!" > Newcomers > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Aux CALL- Two screens appeared, showing two different faces, one younger and the other appearing older and experienced. The frequency was 140.85. Someone got a transmission and they intended to listen in and get more information. "Snake. Can you hear me?" Solid Snake gruffed, his hand held up to his ear, "What is it, Otacon? I thought I couldn't get transmission here?" "That's just it, Snake. The strange energy that's been detected must've affected you somehow. Even I thought the Codecs were fried, but it seems they're still working. Which is good, it means I can get in contact should anything happen." the scientist adjusted his glasses. "Unfortunately, it looks like you've passed some kind of barrier and I can't tell where you are." Snake hummed to himself, "So, kept ya waiting, huh? Alright, then I should do a weapons check before I head out." he reminded himself. "Wait... Where are you anyway?" The soldier smirked, "Where the enemy would never expect." "Um... Twilight? Wh-Why is there a t-talking cardboard box next to the statue?" Fluttershy asked, a little nervous and rightfully confused over what she was looking at. The girl could hear a gruff voice being muffled underneath the cardboard. Twilight raised a brow, "Yeah... I'm not sure..." Rarity folded her arms, "I've never seen anything like that before either. Perhaps we should investigate." Popping out of Twilight's backpack was the head of a purple and green dog, "Oh come on. We should see what it is." he jumped off, and walked to the box, "It's right there? There's nothing." "Spike..." muttered the purple-skinned girl. At the dog's insistence, Twilight placed her hands on the box and lifted it. Seeing a tall, bearded man sitting, his knees hunched over and a hand still to his ear. They weren't sure, but the girls swore they saw an exclamation point over his head and a strange sound effect heard for only a second. "Otacon, I've been compromised." the man told his partner. Twilight looked down, "Compromised? What are you talking about?" she asked. "We're not going to hurt you. We promise." Snake relunctantly stood up, "...Never mind. I'll get back to you, soon." he removed his finger from his ear and stood up, facing the three girls and talking dog. "Who are you?" "I think the better question is, who are you?" Spike asked. Raising a brow, Snake looked down. He had seen many things in his lifetime from psychics to professional snipers to vampires and even giant mechs capable of world destruction, but this was on another level, "Did that dog just talk?" he asked in his usual gruff voice. Twilight picked the dog up in her arms, "Never mind that. I-I'm Twilight Sparkle. And he's Spike." "F-Fluttershy." "Rarity. Now, were you brought in like the Flash and Captain Cold?" Crossing his arms, Snake shook his head, "Never heard of them before. I was told of an energy barrier nearby Shadow Moses. Wondering what it was about, I followed it, it seems I ended up in some strange city. Where am I anyway?" "Canterlot High, sir." Twilight answered. Grunting, Snake spoke, "Canterlot High?" he repeated, "Definitely never been here before then. Hmm... Do you have an explanation as to why I was brought here?" Rarity put her hands on her hips, "We were here to do just that. We are about to get in contact with an old friend, who should be here any minute now." Nodding, Snake continued, "Alright then. I guess it's a good thing I made it here, huh?" "I guess so..." Fluttershy gulped. Then, the side of the statue began to ripple and falling out of it were two ponies: a unicorn and an alicorn. The alicorn spoke first, "Sorry about that, I just got your message." she groaned. "A talking pony?" Snake asked. "Message?" "It's quite alright, Twilight." Rarity replied, "Who is this with you?" The unicorn cleared her throat, "Starlight Glimmer. Her student..." she paused, "Wait... You mentioned that you changed in this world before. What happened?" she realized. "The magic surge." Twilight reminded her student. "It seems you were affected as well." "Magic surge?" Snake repeated again, "Can you explain?" "Is he new?" Pony Twilight asked. "Solid Snake." the man greeted, "It seems I came here as a result of whatever you were talking about. And from the sound of it, I wasn't the only one." Pony Twilight hummed, "...Okay." "So, you know what's happening here?" the teenage Twilight questioned. "K-Kind of. Starlight and I were testing the portal to travel to other worlds beyond this one. It caused a spark to light up and opened a rift in our world, and even brought someone. He should be here any second now." the alicorn revealed. "It seems we created only one rift in Equestria while the mirror boosted the effects from this end." "So, a magic surge?" Snake said, "In a world of horses. That's new. And somehow sounds cliche." "Magic is nothing new in this world, Snake." Rarity added. "But this... This is on quite a different scale. You said someone else came to your world?" she wondered. Starlight nodded, "Yes. So far, it seems you've gotten the worst of the effects. That's why I want to stay until things clear up. Is that okay, Twilight?" she asked the alicorn. "It's alright, Starlight. I'll be back in Equestria trying to clear this up from my end. It sounds like you'll need all the help you can get here moreso." the alicorn agreed. "Sure seems that way." Snake muttered. "I have no clue what the hell is happening." Then, the side of the statue began to ripple again, and stepping otu of it was another man, wearing a white gi, red boxing gloves and a red bandana strapped to his head. "I take it this is where I am needed." he called out. "That's right, Ryu." Twilight said. Ryu nodded, "Very well. I will best any challenge you have for me." he saw the girls and Snake. "Now who might the rest of you be?" he wondered. Once everyone said their names, Ryu spoke, "I see. It seems we will face a tough battle ahead. It will be an honor to fight alongside each of you, should you prove strong enough to face what lies ahead." Twilight smiled, "Well, I think I should head back to Equestria for now. I have to figure out how to close these rifts now." at that, the alicorn stepped into the portal and left Starlight, giving her a nod of assurance and good luck. "I think we are." Snake commented to Ryu. "Now, where should we start?" "Our friends are in the city. Perhaps we should check on them now." Rarity suggested. Ryu replied, "Alright. Let us be on our way." "A talking hedgehog?" Snart asked, "And he also looks like he has superspeed. This your pet, Flash?" Sonic frowned, "Pet?" he jumped from the roof and landed perfectly on his feet, surprising the girls, "I'm no one's pet. I'm just a livin' hedgehog free as the wind." The Flash blinked, "But you have superspeed. Do you have the Speed-Force as well?" Sonic shook his head, "I don't have that Speed-Force, I've had this speed for as long as I can remember." Sunset looked at the hedgehog, "I guess you were brought here by a rift?" "Yep." Sonic answered, "But don't worry about that. I've dealt with stuff like this before." "If you say so." muttered Rainbow Dash. Sonic put his hands on his hips and looked at the unconcious aliens around him, "Huh. Looks like you were fighting the Black Arms. I thought Shadow wiped them all out when he destroyed the Black Comet." "You know these things?" Applejack asked. "Kind of. They invaded my world before a friend of mine stopped them. But they shouldn't be here. Unless..." the hedgehog paused. "Unless this magic rift or whatever affected time as well." Barry commented. "Bingo!" the blue blur exclaimed. Sunset pursed her lips, "You don't sound so surprised." Sonic adjusted his gloves, "Like I said, I've dealt with strange stuff like this before. It's no stranger than rescuing genies in magic books or rescuing aliens from an inter-stellar amusement park." "Now that sounds ridiculous." Captain Cold muttered. "But it's all true." Sonic replied. "Sure thing, sugarhog." Applejack said, unable to comprehend what was happening. Pinkie looked around, "But this is so cool. Two speedsters and a guy with a cold gun! Our team is awesome!" "I agree." Sonic commented. "I think we can make do against whatever's happenin'." "Are you sure about that?" a voice called out. Pinkie blinked, "Was that any of you?" at the shake of her friends' heads, she continued, "Oh." Rainbow groaned, "Now what?" Hovering above them was a giant green creature riding a hover glider. He wore armor and crouched down to balance himself on the glider. "Now, all of you will explain what's happening here or I'll have to use lethal force to get it out of you." Captain Cold pointed his gun upwards, "Now who are you?" "The Green Goblin." > Uprising > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The team all dived to the side as the Green Goblin tossed a pumpkin bomb from his high vantage point. A small explosion occurred nearby the group as they looked up once the smoke faded, "Oh come on!" Sonic and Rainbow yelled at the same time in disbelief. The Green Goblin cackled, throwing another bomb, but before it reached the ground, Sunset used her magic to hold it in midair, she gritted her teeth as she focused on throwing it back on the Goblin. Luckily, it hit the Goblin, and made him move backwards, his feet still firmly planted on his glider, but his armor was dented a little. "You'll regret doing that!" Goblin cackled. Captain Cold aimed his gun and shot it at the Green Goblin, "Oh yeah? It's you against us pal! If there's one thing I know, it's that numbers matter here!" he yelled. Flying his glider upwards, the Green Goblin smirked, "Whoever said I was in this alone?" It was at that moment, a blue blur tackled Sonic and then the Flash. Once Barry's vision stopped being blurry he saw a blue robot with red optics hold him and Sonic on the floor, using both hands to grip their throats as hard as he could. "Me-Metal Sonic?!" Sonic choked out. "This a friend of yours?" the Flash quipped, using a free hand to circle around, creating a whirlwind that pushed the robot away from them, allowing them to breathe. Sonic inhaled, "Yeah. He's a real nasty bucket of bolts. He was created by Eggman to match me in every way possible in terms of speed and abilities." he explained. Rainbow Dash revealed her transformation pegasus wings and lunged after Metal Sonic, driving her fist upwards to punch the robot as hard as she could. "How did you get your giant green hands on Metal, Goblin?" asked the hedgehog. Goblin raised a finger, "It was quite simple. A little modification here and there. It seems you've made an enemy of him already. Now, he will do my bidding." He was ready to throw another pumpkin bomb, but Pinkie focused her magic and made it explode in his hand, destroying the metal glove on his arm. She fistpumped the air, "Yes! Score one!" The Flash smirked, tackling Metal Sonic with his shoulder. While he was in midair, Sonic focused and curled into a ball, using the floating body of Metal as a stepping stool and hitting the stunned Green Goblin with a well-timed Homing Attack to the face. The hedgehog landed on one knee, a confident smirk on his face. Metal Sonic got his bearings and threatened to attack Sonic, but Applejack stepped forward with a right hook, pushing the blue speedy robot aside for a moment. Green Goblin gritted his sharp fangs, "I seek answers for what has happened, and I will gain the knowledge so I can destroy you!" "That isn't very nice!" Pinkie yelled. Snart smirked, "I agree." he aimed his Ice Gun upwards and shot a blue beam at the Goblin again, the force of the blast pushing him back slowly and surely. Sunset managed to focus her magic into her palms and shot out a powerful orb that knocked the Green Goblin off his glider, making him faceplant the concrete floor. "You little whelps!" he yelled. "You seem to misunderstand, I am capable of ending all of you right now. Just beg and give up." "Never!" Sunset said. Captain Cold shook his head, "Nah." he decided, shooting the Goblin once more. Once the beam subsided, Applejack decided to land a hit to the Goblin's face. "I've already darn had enough of ya!" she yelled, her knee colliding with the monster's chest, denting the armor a little. She was unprepared for the Goblin to grab her and throw her body on the floor as casually as possible, demonstrating his strength. "Anyone else?" Goblin muttered with a smirk. "Applejack!" Sunset screamed, pushing the Goblin aside with her magic, hoping to do some damage. Captain Cold ran forward and drove the end of his gun to Green Goblin's face, but was countered with a headbutt, making the Rogue take a few steps backwards and held his aching head, "We could use some help here!" he yelled. "This Goblin is seriously grating!" Sonic hopped over Metal's head, "A little busy right now, Cold!" Using the Speed-Force, Barry managed to focus his attention to Metal Sonic as time seemed to slow down. As fast as he could, he dodged Metal's fist and grabbed his metal arm, tossing his body around, bringing it towards Rainbow Dash. The cyan girl flew and performed a high kick, tossing the robot again. Metal Sonic beeped and slammed his fists downwards, creating a crater where he landed. "So, Metal. Seems you stepped up your A-Game since last I saw ya. Honestly, you're more of a challenge than the time you turned into that dragon thing. What was that about?" Beeping again, Metal raised his clawlike hands. The Flash looked to the robot with a confused glance, "Can he understand you?" "Yeah. He speaks every now and then." Sonic commented. Metal began to wipe his metal nose in a snarky way, as if to brag that he is superior again while beeping. "I have no clue what he's saying." Barry whispered. "Neither do I." Rainbow blinked. "He's probably saying that he will destroy us and is faster than us. Either that, or he's wondering if we want a soda." Sonic replied. The hedgehog charged forward at the same time as robot and butted heads with him, his feet turning into a figure eight while Metal tried to boost his chest jet thrusters. Sonic smirked, "You might know everything I'm gonna do, but that's not gonna help you since I know everything you're going to do! Strange isn't it?! Grr..." grunted Sonic, performing a backflip kick to Metal's chin, giving himself some space. The Flash glanced at the hedgehog, "Was the boasting really necessary?" he wondered. "It got him distract--" Sonic was cut off by Metal punching him in the blink of an eye. "Hey!" "That's it!" Rainbow shouted she unfurled her wings and vanished in a rainbow blur, using her magic to catch Metal Sonic off guard. Luckily, Metal didn't have time to react to a foot to his back, pushing him onto the ground. Slamming a fist to the ground, Metal beeped again and moved his head upwards. Rainbow pointed to the concrete, "If you had a mouth you'd be eating dirt right now." she commented with a confident smirk. The Flash charged forward to kick Metal, but was pushed back by a sudden electric force. "What was that?" he asked, seeing a black forcefield surround the robot. Crossing his arms, Sonic said, "Yeah, he can do that. Completely forgot. It's some kind of energy field programmed into him. It doesn't really last long and it causes him to short-circuit. Honestly, he's just letting us win at this point!" "Yo, Rainbow!" the hedgehog called out. The rainbow haired girl looked to the hedgehog. "Distract Metal so that he wears down! After that, the Flash and I will deliver a good ol' finisher move!" Rainbow saluted and flew off, "Hey, Metal! It's time you met a challenge! Me!" she yelled, getting the robot's attention. Coming out of his chest was a beam. The beam was aimed at Rainbow, who continued to run around in circles. This prompted Barry to do the same, his familiar trail of yellow lightning following him. Sonic kicked the ground, readying to attack once the time came. Then, sparks began to fly from Metal, his beam disappearing and his forcefield fading, Rainbow stopped, giving the Flash enough time to throw his lightning at Metal Sonic, causing him to short-circuit once the trail collided with his body. Sonic then ran forward and kicked his leg upwards, driving Metal Sonic into the air. With a high leap, Sonic performed a roundhouse kick so hard that it caused Metal Sonic to explode. The blue blur landed and gave his fast friends a thumbs up, "Aw yeah! Now onto the big bad Goblin!" With said Goblin, Captain Cold and Sunset combined a beam of magic and ice, hoping to turn his focus away for a minute. "Do you think these weak beams are enough to stop me?" he asked, clemching his enlarged hands into fists. While he boasted, Applejack drove her legs upwards and kicked the Goblin onto his back. "Here's hopin' this will!" the farmgirl yelled, pushing her feet onto Green Goblin's chest as hard as he could, keeping him down as long as possible. Pinkie Pie hopped up and used one of his pumpkin bombs to combust in his face, covering it in ash. "You... You..." "You what?" Snart quipped, placing his gun over his shoulder casually. "You will pay! I'll make you suffer like I've made the Spider suffer!" he bragged. "Aw. I didn't think you'd miss me!" a young voice yelled out. THWIP! A ball of webbing covered Green Goblin's eyes, forcing him to yank it off. By the time he reached his face, a red foot collided with his jaw, pushing him backwards. "Honestly, Gobbie. You gotta stop with the drugs. You look all roided out." the stranger quipped. Once he removed the webbing, the Green Goblin looked to the source of the hated voice, "Spider-Man!" Spider-Man smiled under his mask, "That's my name! Don't wear it out, Osborn!" he joked. "This wasn't what I had in mind when I wanted a vacation, but I guess a good old fashioned Goblin butt-kicking will have to suffice." "Is he your enemy?" Sunset asked the webslinger. The webslinger folded his arms, "Yeah. But I've never seen him this buff before. Wait a minute... Who are all of you?" he finally asked, "And why is there a blue porcupine here?" "I'm a hedgehog!" Sonic corrected. Captain Cold chuckled, "Quite the oddball bunch, huh? Welcome to the club." "Yeah... Definitely not what I had in mind." Spider-Man muttered before yelling out, "Just leave him to us. Goblins and Spiders don't get along well according to my calculations." "Us? Who else is here?" Rainbow asked. Before anyone else could react, another figure leaped down, pressing his palm onto Green Goblin's shoulder, creating an electric spark that threatened to shock his entire body. Once the electric pain subsided, he passed out. The figure landed, revealing that he wore a costume similar to Spider-Man's, but it was black with red webbing. "Another Venom Blast that works. Thank you spider-bite." "Another one?" the Flash wondered aloud. The black-costumed Spider-Man perched down, looking at the unconscious Goblin, tying his body up in webbing, "Another one?" he repeated, his voice seemingly younger. "I'm Spider-Man too, just like him!" he revealed. Sonic raised a hand, "No offense, but you seem more of a Kid Arachnid than a Spider-Man." "Hey!" the younger Spider-Man fumed. "Okay. Now it's answer time. How many of you were either caught in a rift or suddenly found themselves here, raise a hand." once Spider-Man saw Sonic, the Flash, and Captain Cold raise their hands, he nodded, "Alright, I guess we're not alone in this." "Another dimension? It's kind of getting old." the younger Spider-Mam commented. "But should we reveal our identities so we don't get our altar-egos confused?" The older Spider-Man whispered, "We're in another world. Honestly, I don't think it would hurt considering what's happening now." the two Spiders coughed as they slowly removed their masks and showed their faces, "I'm Peter Parker." "And I'm Miles Morales." "Basically we're partners on our world, and got caught in a rift when we saw you fighting roided out Green Goblin here." Peter elaborated, gesturing to the tied-up Goblin. Miles put his hands on his hips, "That's... pretty much it. What about you guys? This looks like the strangest Avengers team I've been apart of. And the one I'm on is weird enough as it is." Once introductions were given, with a few comments from Peter and Miles, Sunset spoke, "I think we should meet up with the others. They might know what's happening now." "Lead the way, Sunset!" The ground began to rumble, causing everyone to look down, "Now what?" Barry and Peter asked. "Whatever it is, it doesn't sound good." Rainbow added. "No kidding." muttered Miles. The Flash gestured, "Then we don't have any time to waste!" "Still can't believe I'm listening to him..." muttered Snart. "HADOUKEN!" Ryu's palms were extended, shooting out a blue ball of energy that hit the strange demon, causing it to vanish in ash. He placed his gloved palms to his side, focusing his energy into his next attack. Snake pulled out his grenade launcher and shot a projectile, blowing up another demon instantly. "Where the hell are these things coming from?" he grunted. These demons appeared as soon as the ground rumbled, seemingly appearing out of thin air and surrounding the heroes as they neared the other group. Twilight yelped, ducking underneath a swipe of one of the armored creatures, before seeing it vanish thanks to Starlight Glimmer, earning a sigh of relief. The Wandering Warrior exhaled and spun his feet around, yelling as he kicked the demons around. "TATSUMAKI SENPUYAKKU!" Ryu landed and closed his eyes, punching a demon that was charging after Rarity and Fluttershy. Once the monster vanished, he spoke, "Are you injured?" "No." the two said, unable to do anything for the moment, their magic powers not meant for combat. "Then be careful. The path of combat is exhausting." "...Okay." Fluttershy muttered. The soldier pulled out his pistol and shot at the demons, "Damn. This wasn't what I had in mind." "Same here." Starlight commented, teleporting away from an armored monster and shooting a beam behind its back, cuasing it to fall apart. Ryu gave a demon a right hook and elbowed another, "These are quite arduous. Has anyone faced these before?" he asked the others, getting a shake from each of their heads. Suddenly, a bright arrow sped through a line of demons, making them combust in a burst of light. Snake lowered his weapons, "Alright. Now what?" Standing near them was what appeared to be a teenager. He wore a white robe, had wings and wielded a bow in his hand, a staff strapped to his side and beam gloves with claws on his hands. He lowered his old-timey weapon and smirked, raising a fist as he cheered, "Oh yeah!" "Another stranger?" Twilight asked. "He looks to be... Otherworldy." Ryu commented. The angel chuckled, "Sorry to keep you waiting! By the orders of Lady Palutena, I will fight the Underworld!" > Get Over Here! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The group tried to focus their attention on the invading demons and the arriving angel. "Who are you exactly?" Starlight asked, holding back another demon with her magic. Solid Snake grunted, elbowing another as Ryu Shoryuken'd a mook in armor, launching it into the air as hard as he could. The angel huffed, "Name's Pit. These look like demons from the Underworld. I thought they all vanished when we stopped Medusa and Hades, but I guess I was wrong." the person, now known to the others as Pit, ran forward, shooting light arrows from a nicely designed bow, turning them to ash immediately. "Well, Pit." Rarity began, "I assume you know the origins of these creatures?" Pit nodded, revealing the Somewhat Staff, "Yep! But like I said, I thought they all hid when we took down the big bad final boss!" Solid Snake growled, "Damn video game logic." Ryu folded his arms, now recognizing who their mysterious helper was now, "It has been a while, Pit. How did you end up in this world?" he wondered. The angel put a hand to his head in disbelief, "Ryu? Huh, I haven't seen you since the Smash Tournament." "Smash Tournament?" Snake repeated, thinking for a moment, "Oh. Now I remember. That giant hologram tried to destroy our worlds. Forgot you were there as well." he reminded himself. He looked over his weapons, shooting another sentient suit of armor. Twilight put both of her arms out, "You three already know each other? How is that possible?" "Epic crossovers!" Pit replied, shooting a light arrow from his meteor bow, shooting a beam of light through a few more monsters, finally clearing up the streets. "Yep. This looks to be an instance of that. I think I've seen you girls on TV." "You have?" Rarity asked with great wonder heard in her voice. Solid Snake shook his head, "Kid's just speakin' nonsense. Said the same thing to me when we met." Starlight raised a hoof and rubbed her mane, "I don't remember recording anything." "Well..." Pit began to say. Ryu closed his eyes and meditated, tuning the angel out. He tried to focus, but a loud sound caught him off guard. The sound of something coming towards him caused him to snap his eyes open. In the blink of an eye, he spun his entire body around. "GET OVER HERE!" The Wandering Warrior caught the end of a kunai and glared at it before turning his gaze to the source. The voice also got the attention of the girls, Snake and Pit. "W-What is that?" Fluttershy gulped, taken aback by the frightening demon looking man. He held his arm out, which revealed a chain connected to the kunai Ryu was holding. His armor was black and had yellow cloth, as well as a yellow metal faceplate. His eyes were pupil-less and his mask covered his entire head. Ryu released the kunai, seeing it retract back into the stranger's gauntlet. "What are you?" asked the warrior in a stern, threatening tone. "I am Scorpion, and I will have my vengeance yet!" yelled Scorpion, lunging after Ryu. The warrior held up his elbow, deflecting the demon's punch. "Are you a being of Outworld?" he asked, his deep voice echoing for miles. Starlight tilted her head, "A being of what?" "...Enough of this!" yelled Scorpion. Snake sighed, "The hell do you want anyway?" Scorpion curled his hand into a fist, which a flame grew out of due to his hellfire abilities, "Vengeance. Quan Chi has the soul of my family. Only by doing his bidding can he restore them. I hate being his puppet, but it is for the greater good!" he opened his hand and flicked it outwords, revealing his kunia. "Your souls contain the necessary strength to become Revenants." "Get over here!" he yelled in a gruff voice again. The kunai almost hit Starlight, but luckily Pit stepped forward and spun his bow to make it look like a propellor. "You look like a demon. As a warrior under Lady Palutena I have to stop you from hurting my new friends!" he declared. "We can help, you know! Plus, if you can't tell, the entire world is falling apart!" "I do not care. I only seek salvation!" growled Scorpion, reaching for one of his swords. Pit dashed forwards and blocked Scorpion's blades with his Meteor Bow. "C-Can y-you help us at least?" Fluttershy wondered. "There's no reason to fight us." Ryu stepped forward, "The few of you can take care of the demon army. Allow myself and Pit to deal with this intruder." Snake gritted his teeth, "Fine." Scorpion lunged forward, striking Ryu with a flaming fist. The warrior's elbow deflected his limb and he held his arm down before tossing him over his shoulder, causing Scorpion to hit the ground on his side. "Grah!" yelled the undead assassin as he pushed himself upwards in a moment's notice. "You are stronger than I anticipated." he swung one of his swords down. But Ryu dashed back, his feet sliding on the street. Pit leaped and shot some light arrows directly at Scorpion, "Wow. Some street fight right, Ryu?" Ryu lunged a fist forward and proceeded to knee Scorpion, "Perhaps it is. Now, this is not the way of a warrior, Scorpion." he scolded, watching the assassin stagger backwards. Scorpion clenched his flaming fists, "I do not care for your words, warrior. I shall have my family back through any means necessary!" Pit held up his Somewhat Staff and shot some orbs at Scorpion, "But why us? Don't you have, I dunno, bad guys you can harvest souls from?" he asked. "You are all powerful." answered Scorpion. The angel blinked, "...Of course..." Ryu held his arms back and let out a familiar orb of blue energy as he shouted, "Hadouken!" Scorpion blocked the projectile, but was unprepared for an uppercut delivered by the Wandering Warrior, "Shoryuken!" the undead warrior's body was launched into the air, where Pit was able to shoot some more arrows through his armor. Scorpion grunted and then crashed onto the ground. Getting back up, Scorpion watched as Pit sprinted forward and used hus Beam Claws, lashing out on the assassin. But Scorpion got his bearings and backflip-kicked Pit in the face, launching him in the air. He tossed his kunai and jammed it into Pit's robe, "Oh crud..." gulped the stunned angel silently. "Get over here!" Ryu elbowed Scorpion in the cheek, "This isn't the way of a warrior! Stand down!" "I cannot now!" Scorpion declared. "U-Uh, can we please? The entire world's gone to crud..." Pit whined, removing the weapon from his clothes. "You can get your soul thing or whatever later." he added. "Your family can't live in a demon infested world now can they?" Scorpion looked around, seeing the demons and aliens attack the innocent and the others fending off the creatures. For a moment, something flickered in his mind, recalling his family and what would happen should this invasion succeed. He grunted and faced the team with a scowl, "Very well. We shall join our forces for the time." he agreed, realizing what was at stake. Ryu nodded, "Very well. Come, we have work to do." Starlight levitated another demon away from Snake as Scorpion used a Doom Blade combo instantly. The soldier spoke, "Got 'em on our side now?" "We have a mutual enemy." Scorpion declared. He burnt one of the demons as they vanished into ash. Snake shook his head, "I gotta bad feelin' about this." Starlight agreed, "You and me both. That was a little overkill..." Scorpion pointed to the pony, "I was given the flames of Hell to control. You cannot judge me, mare. For it is a curse I must bear for eternity." he scolded. "W-What?" Fluttershy whimpered. She ducked as a fireball came in her direction, aimed for the Black Arm soldier trying to attack her from behind while distracted. Scorpion then kneed a demon heading for Rarity, who shielded herself with her magic as the undead assassin drove his fist directly into their armored chest, turning them to ash as his palm burst into flames with ease. Scorpion folded his arms, "As I said. We share a mutual cause it seems. Quan Chi will not have this world." Twilight sighed to herself, "I hope the others are having better luck than us..." Flash Sentry wandered the halls, unaware of the chaos going on outside in the city. After staying to clean the gym, he headed to his locker to get his stuff. He turned a corner, seeing that nobody had decided to stay with the exception of faculty. The teen finally reached the hall where his locker was at. But he looked down, seeing something unlike anything he's ever witnessed in his life at Canterlot High. Three people were sleeping right next to his locker, seemingly unfazed by their location. One was a green dinosaur with a large round nose. The second was a boy wearing a green tunic and hat with a couple masks strapped to himself. The third appeared to be a shirt, scruffy man with messy black hair and a black shirt that had the word 'JERK' written boldly in white. Flash scratched his blue hair and muttered in a confused tone,"I don't think this is normal."
