> Goodbye > by Moonlit Path > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The Fight > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Atomic Cinnimon and Second Chance stood in the middle of the park. Most of the nearby ponies had left as they didn't want to get involved in the fight. A couple brave souls were hiding at a safe distance, curious to see how it would turn out. Cloud Rider stood nearby holding her head as her headache continued to grow. She knew she shouldn’t get involved, but had been scared to leave for fear that Atomic and Second would get innocent ponies involved. “Will you stop it already!” Second Chance yelled, his purple eyes glaring into Atomic Cinnamon's dark red eyes. Stomping his foot, Atomic’s face started turning a darker shade of red. “Well, if you would listen to me then I wouldn’t have to!” “I am listening!” Taking a hoofull of dirt, Atomic threw it at Second while laughing. “Maybe now you’ll listen to me! I told you already, if you would stop creating so much drama around the village then maybe…” “Cloud Rider!” Second Chance whined pointing his hoof at Atomic Cinnamon. “Atomic threw dirt at me! Why is he being so mean to me?” Taking a step back, mouth agape, Atomic started looking between Cloud and Second. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean too!” “I swear sometimes you make me so mad that I could just explode!!” “I didn’t mean too!” “Will you two stop it!” Cloud yelled, facehoofing. “I swear you two are acting like foals!!” “He started it!” Second yelled, glaring at Atomic. “No I didn’t! “Ok you two.” Cloud Rider sighed, stepping between the two stallions. “Atomic, I want you to explain what you want from Second.” “I want him to stop causing so much drama around the village. I mean, seriously. You don’t need to go crying every time sompony says something you feel is insulting.” “I do not!” Second shot back. “I’m telling my mom on you!” “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean it to come out that way!” Atomic sat down pouting. The local sheriff walked over to the trio of ponies, rubbing his temple. “What’s going on here? I’ve had multiple ponies complaining about a disturbance.” “He’s being mean to me, and I’m just trying to defend myself. Officer, arrest him!” Second whined, pointing his hoof at Atomic. “I’m just stating my opinion. I’m allowed to do that! You can’t arrest me just for telling ponies my opinion.” Atomic smirked, glancing over to Second. “All I want him to do is stop causing so much drama in the village. It makes me so mad because he gets innocent ponies involved, and I will do what I can to stop that! Not just him, but everypony causing drama! Is that so wrong?” “In a way you’re just causing drama also. No, I can’t arrest you for your opinion. However if you two keep fighting I can arrest your for disrupting the peace. Now you two make up, and do not make me come back here again.” Atomic and Second glanced at each other, before saying “yes officer” in unison. Satisfied, the officer walked away although he knew that he would have to be back. “Cloud, why is everyone being so mean to me!” Second Chance cried, kicking a little rock with his hoof. “He just wants you to stop complaining about stuff.” Cloud Rider explained, rolling her eyes. “I’m not trying to be mean!” Atomic shot back again. “You know what, you two solve this. Go somewhere private and talk this out. I don’t want to be involved anymore.” Cloud Rider started walking back to her house, ignoring the pleas from both stallions for her to stay. -12 HOURS LATER- Cloudy left her house to meet up with a friend to work on a project, when she noticed a group of ponies gathering around the park. Noticing a familiar pale green unicorn with a white mane, she walked over to her friend. “Hey, Mint Leaf. What’s going on here? I thought we were meeting at the library.” “Long story short, the sheriff is refusing to arrest Atomic Cinnamon, and ponies are starting to get angry because Atomic keeps snapping at them. Then Second Chance keeps whining about it to every pony that walks by. Most just ignore him, but as soon as he started saying that Atomic hurt him then they got upset. Sheriff won’t do anything because he technically didn’t break any laws. That about cover it?” Mint Leaf asked, watching as a random tomato fly through the air and hit the sheriff on his horn. “Cloud! You’re back!” Second Chance yelled, running behind Cloud. “I only left you two alone for a couple hours! What in the name of Celestia happened?” Cloud asked irritated looking around at the large group of ponies. “Atomic wouldn’t stop being mean to me, so I mentioned it to a couple of my friends. Now half the village hates me and I don’t know why!” Second cried, holding onto Clouds leg. “Atomic, get your flank over here right now!” Cloud yelled, glaring at the sheepish looking stallion crawling over to her. “What happened?” “I told you already…” Second mumbled. Rubbing the back of his neck, Atomic sighed before looking around trying to avoid the question. “Don’t make me ask again.” “He kept complaining, and I got annoyed. Then others started ganging up on me. I told them my side of the story, and I have no idea what happened from there. It’s just a blank.” “You two need to grow up already! You are grown stallions, and you’re arguing and whining about each other complaining and whining! You do realize how ridiculous that is. Right?” Cloudy groaned, pulling her leg out of between Second’s hoofs and picked him up off the ground. “Well I wouldn’t complain so much if everyone would just be nice to me.” Second mumbled, falling back down onto the grown. “Well maybe if you…” “Will you two stop it! You fight all the time, and are mad at each other for doing the very thing you’re doing yourself! I’m done with it! I left you alone overnight, and look what happened! I’m not going to be a safety blanket anymore. You are grown stallions now act like it! I’m done. Goodbye.” Cloud took Mint Leaf’s hoof and they started walking towards the cafe. “Wait, don’t go!” Atomic and Second pleaded watching as their pegasus friend walked away from them again. “See what you did?” Atomic yelled, pushing Second. “I didn’t do anything! Officer, Atomic Cinnamon pushed me!” Sighing, holding his head from a massive headache, he finally surrendered. “Alright you two, this has gone on long enough. I am placing you in a holding cell for twenty four hours for disrupting the peace. I trust that will hopefully be long enough for you two will make up, and leave these ponies alone.” “But I didn’t do anything!” Second cried, as the sheriff put his handcuffs on him, before doing the same to Atomic. -3 days later- “Hey Cloud…” “Yes Mint?” Cloud looked up to her friend who had been glancing out the window. “You know that fight between Second and Atomic is still going on, right?” “I’m aware. Want some coffee?” Cloud asked, holding a cup out to the unicorn. “Ohhhh, yes please.” Mint took the cup in her magic, taking a sip of the warm coffee. “You going to talk to them?” “Maybe.”
