> A Tale of Two > by Inactive Pone > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Prologue: Birth of Two > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's been a few years since the two couples were married. Soon after, they started talking about family plans. They hoped for something more. Something new and interesting. Now... The moment has finally come, the two kids were about to be born! Nathan was patiently waiting as Twilight was giving birth to their new child, who was determined to be a boy. And by that, I mean a male filly, not a human, although because Nathan is a human and Twilight Sparkle's a pony, their genes were mixed. However, it was a pony. 'Oh my Celestia, please tell me she's okay...' He thought, his legs shaking like crazy. A few minutes later, the nurse came out, smiling. 'You may come in now.' She said. 'Is she okay?' He asked. She nodded. 'I believe you'll be really happy to hear the news.' He went in the room, to see something great: Their child was born! '(Gasp) No way... You did it, Twilight!' He said joyfully. She was really tired but still smiled. 'Haha... It took me quite a bit of effort, I wish you saw it, though.' She replied. Another nurse was carrying the baby. 'Congratulations, both of you.' 'Thank you so much, we're so happy about it.' Nathan replied. 'I'll leave it to you both then. So, she will have to stay for a while before she's out of the hospital, which you probably expect.' She further explained, then passing the newborn baby to the two and leaving. The two looked at each other and smiled. 'Look at him... He's adorable, isn't he?' Nathan said. 'I wonder what type of pony he is... Maybe he's an alicorn like me? Cadance's daughter was an alicorn.' Twilight wondered. 'Now that he's born, he needs a name... What do you think?' Both of them thought about it for a bit. 'I don't know... Maybe we can answer that question a bit later. I'm a bit tired now.' She said, breathing heavily. Nathan beamed. '(Giggles) Now we're a family... I'll love you forever, Twilight Sparkle.' 'I will too,' She responded, kissing her husband. A few weeks later, Twilight was out of a hospital, and the two went back home. Their lives did change a lot after their child was born. A lot of responsibility was needed to take care of a child. As they first saw their child wake up, they were surprised to see that he was an alicorn! 'You were right! He's a born alicorn!' Nathan said, clapping his hands. 'If I am correct, he should be the first ever male alicorn ever in Equestria! This is a historic moment!' Twilight gasped. The new baby was shaking around, letting out a few soft squeals. 'Aww, how adorable!' He thought. 'When should we break the news to your friends?' She thought about it. 'Maybe later. Let's see if they will notice. By the way, what should we name him?' Nathan took a good look at the pony. 'Well, he looks strikingly similar to princess Luna... blue skin, navy mane... We should name him after her, she will be proud.' He had an idea. 'Hmmm... How about Lunar Sparkle?' 'That's a great name!' Twilight replied. Suddenly, Asriel came in, and as soon he saw the baby, he was surprised. 'Hey Twilight and Nathan, I got great news to- (gasp) Oh. my. GOD. You guys had a baby!?' He squealed. 'Yup! We did!' Asriel went to look at Lunar. 'Oh my gosh!!!! He's adorable! He's an alicorn as well!' 'Heh, jealous of our new child, huh? His name is Lunar Sparkle. We named him after Luna, since he looks like her, and his last name is from Twilight.' Nathan explained. Asriel remembered, and crossed his arms, sneering as he leaned on the wall. 'Well guess what, our's is even more beautiful.' As soon they heard what he said, they both gasped. 'What!?' 'Oh yeah, come with me.' As they went to Frisk's room, Frisk was hiding something behind her. 'Frisk... I haven't seen you in a while, where have you been?' Twilight asked. 'Haha, I evaded you for a reason.' She replied. Nathan was curious. 'What's that behind you? Is that-' Frisk and Asriel both smiled. 'Meet our new daughter: Astell Dreemur!' They both said, revealing the baby girl behind them. '(Gasp) No way!!! You guys had a baby too!?' Nathan gasped. 'I could ask you the same thing! Like, what!? Is this a coincidence or what!?' Frisk replied cheerfully. Astell had pink skin, looking just like Asriel, with the floppy ears. For some reason, she had red colored hair in default. She had her eyes closed, and she was sucking her thumb. 'Wait, was she born a few weeks ago today? Was she born on March 20th?' Twilight asked. Asriel gasped. 'No way, she was! Yours too?' She nodded, smiling. 'Was your baby a boy or girl?' Frisk asked. Twilight was levitating Lunar behind her. 'It's a boy, just what we wanted!' She showed him to them. 'Wow... A baby alicorn, huh? That's awesome!' Frisk said. A second later, the two babies woke up, and they looked at each other and had a little smile. 'Oh, hey! Looks like they love each other already!' Asriel said gladly. 'Let's put them down for them to rest a bit.' They put them in a little crib in the room, which Frisk bought a while before they had their daughter. When they let go, Astell was crawling towards Lunar, and with his wings, Lunar brought her close. '(Giggles) Seems like this is a start of a new friendship, right guys?' Twilight asked. They all nodded. 'Our two little angels will be buddies, just like we did.' Frisk said. 'Our alliance will last, and it's up to you to help us carry it on... Lunar Sparkle and Astell Dreemur.' > Chapter 1: Childhood Friend > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- As the two babies grew up, they have always been really sweet and they rarely actually cry, which is really disturbing to the others. Of course, the four's lives changed a lot, but with their other friends to help out, it wasn't really a big problem. The biggest change, though, their YouTube careers have to be a bit unstable for quite a while. Throughout their growth, Astell and Lunar liked each other ever since the first time they saw each other. They saw each other as a companion, a friend who was there when they were alone. Before they could talk, they didn't really do much, but it was when they could start to talk, that's when their friendship started to take off. One night, when they were about four years old, Astell went to ask her mother something before bed. 'Hey, mom... Can I ask you something?' Frisk nodded. 'Go ahead.' 'You know your friend's son, right? Can I sleep with him tonight?' She asked. Frisk knew the two had a connection with each other. Also, since Lunar was an alicorn, his parents felt it was okay for him to be okay with sleeping on his own. So, she didn't really object to that question at all. 'Hmmm, you can, just make sure you're okay when sleeping. Alright, goodnight, Astell,' Frisk lightly kissed her, and she left the room. She went to his room, and Lunar was fast asleep already. '(Giggles) I want to get to know him more...' Astell thought. She got on his bed, and looked at him before she slept. A minute later, Lunar opened his eyes and saw Astell. He was surprised. 'Huh? Oh, it's you... Thank Twilight is not something bad...' He whispered. Astell grinned. 'I wanted to sleep with you tonight. By the way, I never asked you... What's your name?' 'Oh, right. I never told you. I'm Lunar Sparkle. And you are?' Lunar asked. 'Astell Dreemur. But, just call me Astell.' As the night went on, they both were chatting to each other. 'Lunar, do you know that I am very happy every time I see you? I remember the first day we met...' She said. He nodded. 'I was... Kind of drawn to you. I feel like... You can be my friend. It was pretty awkward of me trying to cuddle you.' '(Giggles) You're so funny. So... do you want to be my friend?' Astell asked. Lunar brought her close with his wing. 'Haha, okay.' She was blushing, and her face turned red. Then, she kissed him lightly. 'Oh, uh... Sorry, I-' Lunar smiled, and kissed back. The two were cuddling as they slept. It was really interesting to think that these two had such a strong connection with each other at such a young age, and they're not even siblings! They have been really close friends for the early years of their lives, and they rarely ever fought. Though, they sometimes do argue a little bit when they were playing video games. Speaking of which, the couples thought that they should have them in their YouTube videos, since they thought it will be an awesome experience. One day, they were setting up for the next vlog and Lunar came over. 'Hey dad, I heard you guys are making videos, can Astell and I join?' Nathan had an idea. 'Give me a minute.' He turned to Twilight. 'Twilight, the kids say they want to join in!' 'Of course they can join! We've never shown them on our channel.' She replied. So they got Frisk and Asriel behind the camera, and started recording. 'Hi everypony! This is Twilight, and I'm being joined by my husband, Nathan, and someone you've probably never seen before...' Nathan smiled. 'As you may know, we said that we had some "Family issues" to tackle, and we can finally show you all what's been going on!' He looked at them. 'So, why don't you introduce yourselves?' '(Giggles) Hi, I am Lunar Sparkle, the son of my parents, Nathan and Twilight! And I'm here with my friend, Astell Dreemur!' He giggled. She waved to the camera. 'I'm the daughter of Frisk and Asriel Dreemur, who is just behind the camera.' Then, they came out into the video as well. 'Okay! Hello everypony, this is Frisk!' 'And with me, Asriel!' He replied. 'So, we have a load of explaining to do about... These two kids behind us.' All of them laughed and kept chatting in the video. Ever since the news was broken out, the two got many people's attention. Some people felt that the two kids should be proud, since they became the children of four famous legends of the human and pony race. Some people even went as far to say that they may become the successors of the four, and they will travel to other dangerous and magical places to explore, conquer and continue their parents' legacy. But of course, even friends can have little quarrels from time to time, and these two were no exception. Once, Astell was playing around with video games, but she keeps on failing over and over again on a single boss fight. 'Astell, come on!' Lunar complained. 'Just a bit more...' She replied. And her character died again. 'Darn, messed up again...' 'You died like, twenty times already! Just let me play!' Lunar was crossing his hooves, feeling unamused. 'UGH, my determination!!! Must beat this boss!' She told to herself. Then, Lunar was so furious that he tried to use his magic to steal the controller from her. 'Hey, no! Stop it!' She yelled. 'Come on, you've been playing for like, an hour now!' He said, trying to control his magic. 'I got it this time!' Both of them were quite angry with each other. 'Okay, that's it. Let go and let me get the controller.' Lunar cried. 'No way!' Astell cried back. They sparked a little fight with each other. A minute later, Frisk came in. 'Whoa, what the Chara? What's going on?' She asked. '(Grunts) Astell won't let me play!' Lunar cried, fighting Astell. 'Oh my gosh, shut it, Lunar!' She yelled. Frisk went to get Twilight in. 'Stop!!! Both of you!' She yelled, using her magic to freeze them in place. 'Uh... Twilly? You know you don't have to-' Frisk saw the cross look on her face. 'Okay, okay! Don't give me that look!' Twilight walked over to the two. 'Now, children... Is that how you treat a friend?' They had no response. '(Sigh) Please get along with each other, then.' She said, disabling the spell. Frisk tapped her from behind. 'Let me take care of this...' She crouched in front of them. 'Now, Astell... You have been playing for quite a while, let Lunar play for a bit.' Astell shook her head. 'Not now! I'm almost done with this level!' 'How about you let him have a go? Maybe he can help. Oh, and you do realize we have more controllers and this is a multiplayer game, right?' She passed a controller to Lunar. 'Hehe, thanks!' He said. 'Come on, Astell, let's play together!' She nodded, and they went back to the level they were on. Outside, Frisk just came out. 'See? That's much more like it.' She said. Twilight smiled. 'You're right. Maybe shouting isn't always the best option, correct?' 'Exactly.' And a second later, the two kids were high-fiving each other since they beat the stage. 'Nice, Lunar! I won't doubt you again!' Astell cried. 'Haha, thanks. I'm sorry for beating you around though.' He replied. She felt a bit shy. '(Giggles) Yeah, I'm sorry too.' She then hugged her friend. Looking from behind the door, the two nodded to each other. 'Problem solved.' Frisk said, snapping her fingers. Think of their friendship as a flower. By the age of eight, the flower was in full bloom. Just like their parents, they knew more about each other as life progressed. It wasn't surprising, though, considering they were the children of four best friends. Twilight's saying always goes, 'Friendship carries on through the ages', and she was right. One day, they were playing around in a field of flowers. 'Catch me if you can!' Astell said to Lunar, running away from him. '(Giggles) Come back here!' He giggled, then flying up into the air, grabbing Astell and taking her for a ride. 'You're really good at flying, wait until you can fly around with your mom!' She said. As they landed safely and sat in the middle of the flowers, they smiled. Lunar had an idea. 'Hey, Astell, this is for you!' He picked out some of the lovely purple flowers for her. She smelled the wonderful flowers. 'Awww, thanks Lunar!' She kissed him on the cheek. 'You know what I think of these flowers? I feel like they represent a balance between us. I mean, you are mostly red and I am colored blue, so when we mix together, we create the color of this very flower. Just like our friendship, we really mix well together. We are friends meant to be.' Lunar said. '(Laughs) That's pretty interesting.' Astell replied. Then, Frisk came over. 'Guys! It's getting late now, better come inside!' She called out, then walking over to them. They both nodded to her. 'I see you guys want a picture?' Frisk asked, taking out her phone. 'Sure! Hey Astell, bring it in!' He brought her close with his wing. She put her arm around her friend. 'Alright, come here.' With the two holding a few of the purple flowers, they smiled as the photo was taken. Then they followed Frisk back to the castle. After they got back, Astell wanted to ask her friend something. 'Oh, and Lunar?' Astell asked. 'What is it?' He turned back. 'Will you... be my best friend?' He nodded. 'Sure I will! We've known each other for a while now.' Astell was blushing, and she kissed Lunar again. 'You little angel.' He giggled, levitating her. 'Whoa, hey! Stop it!' She said playfully. Both of them kissed each other, smiling. So, sounds like a really good pair of friends, right? Well, this is where the fun part kicks in... > Chapter 2: Training > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- As you all know, combat has been Frisk's passion since she was a child. And, despite everything that has happened, she only grew stronger, faster, and she never gave up trying to be the best. The passion would ultimately pass on to the younger ones. Once, Astell heard the voices of her parents in the training room. They seemed to be practicing. 'Whoa, hey Lunar, come over here! You need to see this!' She said. He gasped. 'Wow, they are fighters as well? No way!' Inside, the humans were practicing with Frisk. 'Are you ready?' Mark asked. She got her swords ready. 'This is so familiar...' She thought. 'Okay, let's go!' This time, Frisk wanted a challenge. She only gets to use swords, but the humans get to use magic. But, it was no problem for the once combat legend. After they were defeated in a close match, Asriel joined in, and so did Twilight and Nathan. 'Yo, that's my parents over there! Hope they win,' Lunar thought. 'Ha, the Dreemurs are going to win for sure, you wanna make a bet?' Astell said with a smile. Lunar gave her a high-five. 'You're on.' The two couples pulled out their swords and got their magic ready. 'Haven't battled each other since the pony war, you ready, Frisk?' Twilight asked. She was filled with determination. 'Can't say no to a rematch.' The duel went on for about 10 minutes or so until Nathan went down. Twilight was surprisingly good, though, she managed to fight Asriel off. 'Why weren't you this good in the war back then?' Frisk asked. Twilight smiled. 'This is just a duel, no need for seriousness... But, that's because I'm your friend.' Their blades clashed, and another 5-minute battle went on, and then, out of nowhere, Twilight stabs the sword right into Frisk's heart. 'Oh no! Is she going to die!?' Astell was shocked. But then, the sword faded like magic. Turns out, it wasn't a real sword, it was just a virtual one, created by magic! 'Phew, luckily we didn't use the real deal...' Frisk said, breathing heavily. 'But... Wow. When did you get this good?' Twilight helped her friend get up. 'Oh, nothing really. Can't believe I beat you for once.' As they chatted while exiting, their children came in. 'Whoa, that was sick, mom! How did you do that?' Lunar asked excitedly. 'Yeah, we want to be like that too!' Astell cried. Asriel chuckled. 'What do you say, Frisk? Give them a chance? We could just use the thing we just used.' 'Alright, people have been talking about them being our successors... They are gonna have to be prepared for that.' She replied. So, starting at the age of 10, the former legends teamed up to help their children prepare. It was all about the genetics, though. Since combat was their thing, Astell and Lunar got on to the ropes fairly quickly. They got to the point where they could just about match up with the four slowed down by half since they were way too fast for the two. Lunar was practicing with Nathan. 'That's it, keep it going, you got this!' Nathan told him, blocking his attacks one by one. Lunar swung his sword, clashing with his dad's. 'Okay... And swing his sword away right now...' Lunar thought. He swung his sword downwards, then back up again, flicking away Nathan's weapon. 'Good job, you're getting better every day.' He patted his son's head. A while later, Frisk came in with Astell. 'Say, Nathan, I don't know about you, but I have a cool idea.' She said. 'What is it?' Then, she whispered something to him. 'Oh, that will be interesting.' He replied. 'So, boys and girls, you guys are going to go up against each other.' Lunar was scared. 'Wait wait wait, but she's a human! She's obviously better than me! Also, we're friends! We can't do that!' He tried to cuddle Astell. 'Oh come on, it's just a friendly battle, it'll be fun, wouldn't it? We're not actually killing each other...' Astell told him. So they both got ready and had a determined look on their faces. 'Our first battle with each other... Good luck, Lunar.' She smiled, putting out her hand. He smiled and gave her a handshake before starting. 'You too, Astell. No need to go easy on me.' As they walked away from each other, they were ready. 'Okay! Three, two, one...' Nathan counted down. 'This will be very amusing.' Frisk thought. 'And now, fight!' She called out. They both ran to each other, and their swords clashed. Their fight was a bit slower, though, it was around 10 minutes. Both sides went back and forth, and they were at an impasse. 'Heh, pretty good, Astell.' Lunar said, his face pressed close to Astell as he defended with his sword. '(Grunting) You think you're good, huh?' She replied, flicking his sword away in a second. Then, Lunar flew into the air and started blasting her with magic. 'Hey! Not fair, Lunar! You can fly!' Astell cried. As he got her weak, he turned into a human with a spell. 'Wait, what!? Since when he knew how to do that?' Nathan exclaimed. 'I never knew Twilight taught her!' Grabbing his sword, he charged at his friend, fighting away her sword and stabbed it right into her heart. Then, the sword disappeared, like they expected. 'Wow, good game guys!' Frisk said, clapping her hands. Lunar turned back into a pony, helping Astell get up and hugged her. 'I'm sorry, Astell. I didn't mean to.' He said, feeling shy. But she laughed. 'Wow, you are amazing! Even better than I am!' Suddenly, his body started to glow, and he lifted into the air (without flying). 'Oh, no way. No freaking way.' Nathan thought, gasping. As he returned to the ground, Frisk gasped as well. 'Whoa... what just happened?' Lunar asked. Frisk looked at him. 'Lunar, look! Your cutie mark! Right there!' She pointed to where it was. His cutie mark was similar to Frisk's pony cutie mark, which was a pattern of dual swords, but his one had a heart-shaped shield over it. 'Wow... What does it mean?' He asked curiously. 'I'm not really sure either... I know it has something to do with your destiny, so your destiny is the same as mine!' Frisk explained happily. 'I think we need to tell the cutie mark crusaders soon, this is wonderful!' Nathan pushed her away in excitement. 'Oh my gosh!!! I am so proud of you!' He squeaked excitedly, then taking him out by using magic. 'Twilight!!!! You need to see this!' He ran away. Frisk got up. 'Ouch, tell me the next time you decide to freaking do that...' 'Mom, I wanna have a cutie mark too!' Astell said, pulling her mom's arm. 'Sorry girl, I think humans sadly can't get them. But, that doesn't mean you don't have a destiny. It's just a way to show what you're meant to be. The reason I have one is because I can turn into a pony since I was reborn as a pony, but I can still be a human because I mastered the race-changing spell.' Frisk explained, then turning into her pony form. 'See the difference?' 'You look better in your human form,' Astell commented. Now, Astell and Lunar aren't just friends, they are partners. They will practice with each other when they have the time, and when they're not on the training ground, they would chill out and play video games together. They even starred in some of the group channel's videos! But, what they don't know, is that their friendship is about to be torn apart... On the moon of the earth, a wizard was brewing two special potions in his lab. 'Just need to add this drop...' He said, carefully pouring the mix. 'Good. Now, the important ingredient. The dark magic.' He said to himself, grabbing the flask. 'This potion has helped me succeed twice now... Hopefully, this works. This time, I will make sure the spell won't be easily broken again.' He poured the dark magic poison into the potions, and with a flash of smoke, the potions were complete: One of them was dark red, and the other was dark blue. 'Perfect. Now... To cast the spell that worked on that man who betrayed me...' He thought. He cast a spell, and the two liquids turned into crystal souls. 'Finally done! The ruby red and sapphire blue souls... When I put them into their hearts, they will identify themselves as Ruby Red and Sapphire Blue... And they will hate each other so much they will want to go all out on each other. And then, once I have gained enough hatred magic...' He took out a meter that measured the amount of hatred he had received from his plans. It was 80 percent full. 'I will finally break free from her spell, and I can finally kill her, and kill everyone!' He put the souls inside a little bag. 'Right. The best part. Replacing their souls. I have never done this before... One reason why I always failed. Time to turn into my ghost form, and initiate my plan...' The wizard turned into a ghost and flew to Equestria. > Chapter 3: Broken Apart > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The wizard flew to the children's room during the middle of the night. The two were sleeping quietly together, making little sound. They didn't know that this will possibly be the last time it'll happen. 'Look at them, being so sweet to each other...' He said, unamused. He took out the souls. 'Once I replace their souls, they will hate each other, and they will keep on fighting and arguing with each other. Once I collect enough hatred from them, I will escape from the moon and take revenge on that girl who nearly killed me so long ago.' For convenience, he pulled the two a little bit apart, trying his best to not wake them up. '(Giggles) Stop tickling me, Astell...' Lunar giggled in his sleep. Then it was her turn. 'Lunar, stop it! That tickles!' She giggled. The wizard was very impatient. 'Oh my freaking god, will you two shut up and let me do the spell?' They were asleep again. 'Okay, good. Now for you to meet your arch nemesis.' He created a sound border, so that no one outside the room can hear anything. Then, he proceeded with the spell. He got the hearts, and levitated them both. Then, while changing their souls, the two suffered from it's pain and woke up. '(Gasp) What the- Ahhh! No!' Astell cried in pain. 'Lunar! Lunar! Wake up!' She was shaking her friend. 'Huh? What's wrong with- Ahhh!!! Nonononono! What's going on!?' He cried, hugging Astell tightly. 'Please let me do it... All I need to do now, is to separate them and put the souls inside.' The wizard thought. He separated them apart, and the souls were ready. 'No! Astell, no!' Lunar cried. 'Lunar, what's going on? Why are we like this!?' She was crying. He was ready to perform the last part of the spell. 'Come on... Now!' As soon he commanded the souls, it flew into the two's bodies. 'No... I don't like this!' Lunar cried. A second later, both of them screamed in pain as they were transforming to their new self. Soon enough, they collapsed. An hour later in the middle of the night, the girl woke up. 'Wh-what? What happened?' The girl cried. She looked at herself, and gasped. She was fully in red now, with a little crystal feel on her skin. She saw a boy beside her, same as her but in blue. He woke up. 'Hey, what are you doing here?' He said rudely. 'Lunar? Are you okay?' She asked. 'What do you mean by that? Oh, and please, I am Sapphire Blue. Don't call me whatever you just called me.' He said. 'By the way, who are you anyway?' She thought for a bit, and then it clicked in her head. 'I'm... I'm not Astell anymore. I'm Ruby Red.' 'Pfft, that's a stupid name. And besides, we both know who is the better one here anyway.' Sapphire snapped, pushing Ruby. She pushed back angrily. 'Hey, what was that for? And no, I am the better one, you know that.' 'What? No, I'm stronger than you!' He yelled. Ruby crossed her arms, feeling upset. 'You're stronger than me? What are you talking about?' Both of them turned to each other, feeling very cross and angry with each other. 'You do not want to see how I take this the hard way.' Sapphire warned her. She let out a hmph. 'So? I can prove I am better and stronger than you.' 'Ruby, stop saying you're better than me, you know the better one is me.' Ruby was frustrated. 'Shut up, you idiot!' She slapped him angrily. Both of them were furious at each other. Their sparks collided in the middle in a flash of purple, and they were pushing against each other's foreheads. They kept on arguing over the better and stronger one, until they were so angry, that they did something that their old selves rarely do. '(Grunts) You'll regret this...' Sapphire said. Ruby was thinking of the same thing. '(Grunts) No, you will...' 'I hate you so much!' They both yelled at each other, starting to get into a fight, that lasted till dawn. Since that day, the two hated each other. The others never knew as the wizard was the puppet master behind all of this, and made it so that Astell and Lunar will return to their normal selves, having no memory of anything happening. The others didn't know they fought during night, when no one was watching, as sound barriers were put on the doors of their room. Ruby and Sapphire hated anything that resembles the other. They fought over games, ideas, space in their room, just about anything. They totally disagreed with the idea of balance between them that Lunar once suggested. Yet, no one in the whole group knows about it. They were arguing again one night. 'Ugh, why do I have to be sleeping with you in the same room?' Ruby said, frustrated. 'What? You have your space, I have my space, is that not enough?' Sapphire yelled at her. Ruby was getting into bed. 'No, I mean why is there literally one bed for us to sleep on, and it's so freaking frustrating because you are in the way of my sleep every night!' 'What? No, you go back to your space, you always sleep on my side!' He said. Later, they slept on opposite sides, not looking at each other. The wizard was watching all the action happen, and his hatred bar finally got to 100 percent. 'Haha, yes! Finally! After so long of being stuck on the moon... She will finally pay!' He roared. 'So now... I can get all of this power, and return to the Earth.' With a button after consuming the magic, he can now swoop down from the moon to Earth with a push of the button for him to return to Earth. 'Okay... Now to get to the hot and spicy part of my plan...' He said mischievously. During the night, Ruby kept twisting and turning, and so was Sapphire. Then, by accident, they hit each other while sleeping. Sapphire got up angrily. 'Ow, Ruby! I told you not to do that!' Ruby got up as well. 'What!? You started it!' Suddenly, an idea clicked into Sapphire's head. 'Okay, we've been arguing for a while now. I have a way to find out who's the better side.' 'Oh, and what could that be?' Ruby said, crossing her arms. 'Do you know about... a thing called war? She immediately understood. 'Oh, you're going down.' 'Very well. I am leading the pony side, you lead the human side, this is going to happen, pony war two is happening. Time to find out which side is superior. No more garbage about the humans and ponies getting along with each other, time to brainwash them and get them to do what we want.' Sapphire said. Ruby wanted more. 'You know what, we HAVE been arguing for a long time. And oh, how convenient. Red versus Blue, just like in video games. No mercy, one side takes it all. One of us is dying by the end of this war.' They were both angry. They both disagreed with each other that the other side was stronger. They disagreed with anything to do with other race is better than their own. They hated each other to the complete maximum level. 'Alright, fine! Let settle this debate then, deal?' Sapphire put out his promise finger. The two were pressed close furiously. Ruby took the promise. 'Fine! Are we good now?' She asked. 'Ugh, I don't care anymore!' Sapphire yelled. 'I hate you!' They both yelled, and then fought again. They slept completely not facing each other this time. The next day, the two kids were nowhere to be seen by their parents. 'Oh, Lunar~ It's getting late in the morning now, are you snuggling with Astell again?' Twilight called out, opening the door. Then, she discovered they were gone for some reason. 'Hey sweetheart, what's the matter?' Nathan touched her from behind. She gasped. 'Wh-where are they? They're gone!' 'What? Nonsense! You've been reading to much horror stories recently, have you? Come on, that can't be-' He peeked into the room. 'OH MY GOSH YOU'RE RIGHT!' He screamed. Frisk and Asriel heard him screaming from the other room. 'Nathan?' Frisk wondered. She put down the book they were reading and went to them. 'What's going on?' Asriel asked. Nathan was sweating. 'Guys... You might want to see this...' He opened the door, and both of them were shocked. 'What!? Where did they go?' Frisk cried. 'I have no idea, they just weren't there anymore!' Twilight replied nervously. Asriel thought for a bit, and had an idea. 'Well, what are we waiting for then!? We have to go find them!' They went down to streets of town, to find their children. 'Astell! Where are you?' Asriel cried. 'Where have you ran off to?' Frisk followed her husband's words. The chances of them finding her are pretty slim, but for the other couple, it was easier, but still hard. 'Lunar, come out now! Your mother is here if you're scared!' Twilight called out. 'Don't worry, we're not mad, just please show us you're okay!' Nathan cried. However, they had no luck in the end. Going back in tears, they felt they have lost someone for the first time in years. As the others saw them, they felt sorry too. 'Oh, hi guys, no luck, I suppose?' Mark asked. '(Sigh) Yep, we had no luck.' Frisk replied. Stacy went over to comfort Nathan, who was shedding a few tears. 'It's okay, you guys did your best. You still have your friends.' She said. 'Thanks, Stacy. Usually people probably don't understand, but you guys do.' He told her to let go. 'How about some Netflix to chill out? That can probably help.' Jessica asked. Asriel nodded to her. But then, right when they were getting into the middle of the show that night, something bad happened. All of a sudden, the lights came up. 'Hey! Who turned on the light to ruin to atmosphere?' Dan asked, looking around. 'It wasn't me, and I didn't see anyone turning it on either!' Joseph said. The lights then flickered on and off, like in a horror movie. 'Is it the fact we have been watching way too much horror movies, or is this actually happening?' Jessica pondered. As the lights went out again, they heard a scream. 'What the- Frisk!?' Twilight cried. She was struggling, but the others have no idea what she's struggling to escape from. '(Grunts) What in the world is this!?' She screamed. Suddenly, Asriel was struggling too. 'Ahh! What the hay is this!?' He cried. The mysterious girl disabled the spell, and revealed who she was. 'Astell Dreemur!?' Everyone gasped at the same time. She shook her finger at them. 'I'm not Astell anymore... I am now Ruby Red, and oh, mom and dad, you are coming with me for this one...' 'My child, stop it!' Asriel snapped. With magic, Mark grabbed the swords for everyone. 'You want a fight!? We'll give you a fight, alright!?' He yelled. But as soon he said that, Ruby grabbed all the humans except Nathan. Everyone was screaming in fear. 'Have you gone insane!?' Nathan yelled. 'Oh, no I have not...' She turned to her parents. 'Now, you guys are the humans... You are loyal to the human race... join my side, and we will prevail.' 'Wh-What? What do you- Wait...' Frisk stuttered. She nodded. 'It's been a while... Let's start Pony War Two, shall we?' 'What? No!' Frisk cried. Suddenly, she seemed to be brainwashing all the humans on her side. 'All hail the human race!' They said in unison. 'Astell, stop it right now!' Nathan yelled, charging for her with his sword. Then, somepony grabbed him and Twilight from behind. 'Oh no you don't...' He said. 'You're on my side, you're my parents!' Twilight looked behind her. 'Lunar Sparkle! What are you doing!?' 'You guys support the ponies, don't you? Oh, and I'm Sapphire Blue, by the way.' He explained, charging up a spell. 'No... no no no no no!' Nathan tried to escape from the spell, but failed. Then, the two saw each other. 'Hey, you! Hold up one minute!' Ruby demanded, walking to Sapphire. 'Whoa whoa whoa, hang on!' He yelled back, walking to her. Both of them were pressed close, pushing each other angrily. 'Ugh, why are you here, Sapphire?' She asked. 'I could ask you the same thing!' Ruby took out what looks like a pendant. It was a pendant of the two former best friends. 'I'm so done with you... If you're gonna be like this, then I'm breaking up with you!' Ruby cried, throwing her's on the ground. Sapphire did the same, and crushed it to pieces. 'Fine! Let our war begin then!' Feeling extremely cross with each other, they both turned to opposite ways, and carried their most loyal members away. Ruby went back to the portal, and Sapphire went back to the castle. As the two couples left, they wanted to get back together so badly. 'No! Twilight, I need you, I can't be alone again! Not like last time!' Frisk cried. '(Grunts) Stop it, Lunar! Frisk, you have to keep in touch with me, we will get back together, I promise!' Twilight replied to her. Ruby used her magic and pointed her gun at her mom's face. 'Reply to her again, and I will pull the trigger.' She said with a cold smile. 'Okay! Fine! Never thought my daughter can control me...' Frisk replied with her arms in the air. As the wizard was chilling out, watching all the action happen with a screen in front of his eyes, he was very pleased. 'Ah, splendid. Can't believe how brilliantly my plan turned out,' He thought. 'Now, to find a way to make myself innocent and I can continue building up my secret weapon here...' He turned the device off, and walked away, laughing to himself. > Chapter 4: To War > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ruby dragged everyone back to the throne room (She ousted the ruler at the time and became queen), and she wanted to use them to help her seize power. As you expect, the humans did not agree to her plan, so she was forced to take it the hard way: brainwashing every last human to fight for human kind. She put her parents as the co-leaders, while the others are also at a very high rank up on the army. Just in case anyone here forgot , the major combatants of this war for the human race are Ruby Red as the captain, with the Dreemur couple, and the gaming group are pulled into this one as well. Meanwhile, on the pony side, Sapphire overthrew Celestia and forced her to pass down the crown to him. He again, brainwashed all the ponies and forced them to fight for ponykind. There was obviously the mane seven, the princesses and the captain as the major ones of the pony race. And just because he's married to Twilight, Nathan also went to join the ponies. The worlds were so different when the second pony war took place. In the first one, Zebulon forced all countries to attack, but this time, both sides showed no mercy against the other tribe, and anyone who tries to disobey will easily be executed. Surprisingly, unlike the first war, this time both sides were completely at an impasse. The first battle sparked in the United States. 'Listen up, people,' Ruby said in a serious voice to the army. 'We all know here that the ponies will be destroyed in this war. We shall show no mercy to them this time! We know peace is nothing but an excuse to stop fighting. Peace is a thing that makes us weak. Mercy is no solution to stopping this war. And we will not stop until one side falls, and that will be the ponies. Do you hear me!?' 'Yes, captain Ruby!' Everyone replied. Soon, the ponies came, with Nathan riding Sapphire into battle. 'They're here already?' She chuckled in her mind. He got off the captain's back, and the two and the whole army were ready for the first battle of the second pony war. 'Alright, Everypony. It has all come down to this war. Every battle counts, we will not stop fighting those humans until they suffer defeat! Anyone of you who betrays our kind, you're going to have a bad time... You hear me, Everypony!?' Sapphire demanded. 'Sir yes sir! We want war!' Everyone chanted. 'Then what are we waiting for!?' Nathan yelled. 'Viva la Equestria!' Ruby wasn't ready to lose on them either. 'No mercy! Charge, my fellow humans!' She yelled back. Both sides clashed at the center of the open area. Looking over from the high ground, the two leaders flew into the air, drawing their swords as they got close. 'Let's settle the debate, for real this time!' Sapphire shouted. Ruby laughed. 'Don't fret, my opponent. When you guys die... you all will meet again... In hell!' Both of them clashed their swords angrily. The war continued for the next 5 years, with both sides showing no mercy. Thankfully, the group of humans and the ponies managed to secretly keep in touch. The two didn't notice at first that their spell for some reason had a major flaw. As these particular humans and ponies were dubbed the legends of the two kinds, it was not powerful enough to completely brainwash their minds. It will only respond when they were in battle. When they're not, it disables. The two leaders didn't disable social media for some reason, so the groups tried to help each other to crack the mystery of how these two broke apart. They suspected it had something to do with their souls and there was a spell controlling them, but they weren't sure. One day, they were texting on their phone. 'Hey... Frisk, it's been quite a while.' Twilight texted. Frisk was really depressed. 'I know, Twilly. I miss you guys. We all miss the ponies.' On the other side, the gamers were discussing in their own chat group how they will get out of this hell. They had to text each other from time to time since they sometimes were in different countries and the portals have been disabled in case the ponies use them to travel from place to place faster. 'Guys, we really need to find some way of getting out of here.' Mark said. 'This spell, though... I hate it, every time we go into battle, it just controls us and we can't fight back!' Stacy was worried. Dan wondered a little bit. 'There must be some way to break the spell we have right now, we should turn to our pony friends for help soon.' As Joseph was about to text another message, he got a phone call from someone. '(Sigh) Why would anyone call me at this kind of time, though?' He sighed, answering the call. 'Hello, this is Joseph, who's this?' The caller from the other side was relieved. 'Hey... Joseph, I'm glad you're okay right now.' He realised who she was. 'Oh, Bethany! How's it going?' Bethany used to be his best friend, but since the second war started, they lost touch. 'I heard that you and your pony friends have separated, are you alright? By the way, I know you guys have a spell inside your heads right now and you can turn on me if I say this... I have a plan, and I need your help.' She explained. 'Yes, I'm fine. But... What's your plan? We don't even know what's causing those two to fight all of a sudden!' He replied. 'And also, are you trying to betray our kind? You don't stand a chance!' 'Listen to me,' She said calmly. 'I know exactly what happened to them. It's their souls. Their souls were replaced. They aren't themselves anymore.' Joseph gasped. 'I knew it! But... How did you know?' 'One day, I randomly picked up a red coloured soul that landed while I was resting at the park. It seemed like something special, so I kept it to myself and never told anyone about it. However, when the war started, I knew there must be something wrong. I decided to see if I can figure out the identity of who this soul belonged to through secret experiments that only I knew about.' Bethany explained. 'And what's the result?' Joseph asked hurriedly. 'It gave me a girl, named Astell Dreemur.' He had a big gasp. 'What!? Do you not know who that is!?' 'Who is it?' She asked. He was speechless and went silent. 'Hello? Are you there?' An idea immediately clicked in his head. 'Aha! Thanks Beth, you gave me so much help! Alright, I don't have much time. Keep in touch with me, I'll tell you what to do if I decide this plan will work. Bye for now!' He hung up the call quickly. 'Oh my word, did she actually pick up her soul? I ought to tell the others about her plan!' Joseph thought, texting on his phone. Frisk just received the text from him. 'Interesting... His friend had a plan? Well, we need all the help we can get!' She thought. While she was texting on her phone to ask the others, Ruby came in. 'Hold on... Mom, what are you doing?' She asked. Frisk immediately turned off her phone. 'Nothing! Nothing at all!' Ruby came close to look her phone. 'Are you texting to your friends?' She took the phone away. 'Oh, someone kill me...' Frisk thought. 'You're betraying me!?' Ruby yelled at her. 'Guards! Get this traitor out of my sight!' They came in quickly and took her away. 'You little cheater... Soon, your friends will be punished as well...' The next day, the others were accused of betrayal quickly. They were all going to be executed one day after they were discovered. Meanwhile, on the pony side, the mane seven were trying to find ways to disable the spell completely. 'There must be something we can do...' Flurry Heart thought. 'I don't know, even with my knowledge, I can't find a way to disable it!' Starlight replied. Rainbow came over, feeling unamused. 'If only Frisk came back, we would've prevailed just like how we did in the first war!' 'Do you have any ideas, Tia?' Luna asked her sister. 'I'm afraid not, even this kind of magic is beyond our understanding... How could he be so powerful?' She said. Suddenly, they heard the sounds of a pony crying. '(Sigh) I feel so sorry for Twilight...' Cadance said. In her room, Twilight Sparkle was crying so many tears. '(Sobs) Lunar... Why... (sobs) Why do you have to do this? I loved you with all of my heart...' She cried. Peeking from the beyond the door, Nathan was really depressed too. He wanted to comfort his wife really badly. 'Do you need anything, Twilight?' He asked. She lightly turned to him and shook her head. 'No, thanks. Just... (sniff) leave me alone for a bit...' Nathan felt a tear rolling down his face. 'Twilight, you can tell me about your feelings. I don't mind.' 'How could he have betrayed us?' She asked herself. 'He was our son... And something took him away from us... It must be Ruby. We won't show mercy for this one, not like me and Frisk. We'll stand to the very end of the war this time around. Even if she's my best friend... Even if we humans and ponies used to be friends... I will not stop until I can get my child back.' He was shocked. He never thought she'll say that. 'Sweetheart...' He said, walking to her. As she closed her eyes to cry again, she felt a very warm and comforting embrace. 'Listen to me, Twilly. I don't want to hear you say that again... We all are one big family, humans and ponies, together. Friendship prevails, right? War will do us no good at all. The way we won last time is because you and Frisk agreed to reunite with each other. Then, it was then we worked together and brought peace.' He told her kindly. 'Our differences will never break us apart, as long we can work past it. You used to be a legend, a saviour of the ponies. After we married, and the other two, Asriel and me also became legends thanks to our help in the war. We will go back to the days of us saving everyone. I promise.' She was still stuttering from her tears. 'Nathan...' 'I really mean it. Believe in me and yourself. Together, with harmony, we can stop this war by those childish adults who are nothing but a empty soul inside.' He smiled. She finally dried her tears, and smiled. 'Promise?' Nathan hugged her closely. 'Of course.' Suddenly, princess Celestia came in. 'You might want to see what we found recently...' She said. When they came into the throne room, they saw a magical chest. 'What's inside?' Nathan asked. Luna grinned. 'I think this may mean something... Open it and see.' Twilight opened the chest, to discover a pure, blue soul sitting inside. 'This looks strikingly familiar...' She said. Flurry nodded. 'I found it a few days ago. It seemed it was the soul of Lunar Sparkle... We have to run some experiments to be sure.' Everyone thought of the same idea. 'Twilight, this is our only hope.' He clutched the soul tightly in his hand. 'We need this... It will lead us the way to help those two.' And for a certain period of time, the two groups did not have any contact at all. One because the humans were caught for betrayal, and for the ponies, they were busy analysing the soul. And the ponies didn't get caught because Sapphire was too busy on the war, he didn't notice. Little did they know, the souls were their key to getting the two back together... > Chapter 5: No chance > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The execution of the human rebels was supposed to be done quickly and easily. As they stepped up to the podium with their hands tied on their back, they end up with their head off. For those History nerds out there, yes, it's the guillotine. And they never thought they would be on there at all. Frisk was the first to go up. 'Alright... I know how it's like to die... It's really bad.' She told the others. 'How bad?' Mark asked. As the guards pushed her up, she looked at her friends before taking her punishment. '(Breathing) Well, seems like we meet again, death.' She thought to herself. As she lied down, and everything was going to plan, they pulled the heavy metal back to get it to the top. 'I can't watch...' Stacy cried. Closing her eyes as the blade dropped, she felt defeat for the very first time in her life. 'I will never lose... I will not let them fight for eternity!' She thought with determination. All of a sudden, A sudden bolt of lightning struck the machine, and it was powerful enough to send it flying! 'What in the world!?' Jessica was shocked. A second later, someone was helping their arms free. Then, she revealed herself in the midst of chaos for the human side. 'Phew! Saved you guys last minute!' Bethany cried. Frisk was pleased. 'Wow, seems like we aren't the only rebels after all... Are you Bethany?' She nodded. 'I was worried that my friend was in trouble, then I checked where he was a very complicated tracking device, and he was standing right here! I had to teleport here and help you guys out.' 'Wait, your friend? You mean who?' Dan asked. Joseph, at the corner of her eye, saw her and was very happy. 'You've gotten so powerful recently... I'm very proud of you...' He thought. She finally saw him and gasped. 'Joseph! There you are!' Bethany ran to him and hugged him. 'We haven't seen each other for so long! I missed you so much!' 'Glad to see you again, Beth. But, there's no time, we need to be ready for a fight right now!' He told her. As they expected, some armies came to the scene and vowed to attack the rebels. 'Everyone... You know what to do.' Frisk drew her sword. Everyone drew their sword as well, powered themselves up and started fighting. Technology has gone much further than the first war, people now have much more powerful laser guns. Yet, this was no challenge for Frisk. The others would be dead, but they're powered up form kept them alive. After 10 minutes of the humans being completely wrecked, Ruby finally came. 'Aha! Finally found you!' She yelled. Frisk was scared. 'Back off, daughter... You know you should not hurt me.' 'Does it look like I care? Of course, I don't! Even if it's you, people who try to oppose our side of the war will be executed! And this is where that comes into play!' Ruby drew her (you guessed it.) sparkling ruby sword, and the two sides began to fight. Quickly, some of the rebels were out of breath and can't hold on. They quickly aborted. 'One left. This should be very easy.' Ruby said with a cold smile. Frisk held on to her determination and her hopes. 'Ruby... No, Astell, you're my daughter. Stop this madness and stop this war hell. Bloodshed can be prevented. Just listen to me. Your parents know best. Your desire for power has gone too far. All of a sudden, you and Lunar just... fell apart, but why? We never knew why you guys broke up in the first place!' She cried. The leader chuckled. 'Oh mother, you have no idea, do you? You know, I should be thanking you. You gave me the power to lead all of the humankind! I was nothing before, but now I am the leader of an army! Besides, if you guys had killed that brat in the first place, we would've won! So for this whole war, blame him!' Frisk held on to her sword tightly. 'No... I am sorry, Astell. You give me no choice but to fight you! A song was ringing in their heads as they fought. 'Listen here, mom... It's almost time. Let me tell you, it was easy making all your friends disappear, You think you'll win? No, stand back, this will hurt a skele-ton...' 'I'm a legend, don't tell me to... Fight for power, that is not my destiny. So let's go, just me and you... I wonder if you regret this?' 'Go ahead and try to stop me if you're able, Can't you see my greed for power is stable? I know you're getting really tired out of fighting, But it's too late to go back to the past...' 'This isn't what I want, Yet it's what I asked for... Passing my legacy to my daughter, But you just took away that perfect chance, Now we're here, it's too late to say sorry...' 'I am made, of~ Love... Oh... Love~ Love~ Oh...' 'This is who I am... This is where it ends... I don't know why you think, That there's a chance we could make up...' 'But someone deep inside me, I'm screaming out your name... Every time I claim the win, I know that friendship will prevail.' 'Go ahead and try to stop me if you're able, My determination is much stronger than you, If I can only kill you now, It will be over... But my guilt will follow me forever...' 'I want to be the one to paint it red, It's a beautiful day to be burning in hell... He gave me advice, I chose genocide, And I will help us win this war...' 'I'm not afraid, of~ Love~ Oh... But I think I'm stronger than you!' 'Love~ Love... Oh~ I'll reclaim our lost hope!' After a while, when Ruby was in the disadvantage, the backup army came, and Frisk was forced to retreat. Meanwhile, on the pony side, Twilight and Nathan wanted to talk to Sapphire. 'Ah, it's you guys...' He said. 'Can't you see that I am ruling you guys at the moment?' Twilight had an unpleasant look on her face. 'No, you cannot control us.' 'Oh, suit yourself then. I know what you guys want, you want me to follow in your steps and ask for mercy? The answer is no if that's what you want.' He said. And their faces showed they were unsatisfied with his reply. 'What I can give you, though, I do have something.' He got a gun and aimed it at them. 'I'll give you the pain.' Nathan has had enough. 'You're not Sapphire, inside, you are our child, Lunar Sparkle!' 'I doubt it... And besides, I am the leader and you guys are below me! You can't control me! You can't control what I do! Now, I would really appreciate if you guys will stop your persuading and go back. I am not fancy for a fight at the moment.' Sapphire moaned. 'No way, we are not going to stop persuading you, until you finally give in!' Twilight yelled. He fired his gun to scare them. 'Silence!' He shouted. 'I don't want to cause trouble to you guys, but if you really want to cause trouble amongst us, and if you're willing to do this to me, it leaves me no choice.' 'Twilight, let's just go.' Nathan told her. 'I guess. We tried.' > Chapter 6: The Plan > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After Frisk managed to successfully escape once again, the human rebels had retreated back to Britannica to escape from the horde. Asriel joined in mid-way, and the eight had to start over their plans. 'I think they can't keep up with us yet,' Frisk said. Asriel nodded. 'We need to find some way to get back to the pony world soon, they need us there!' 'But how?' asked Dan. 'They have shut down the portal network!' Bethany had an idea. 'I might have a way to start it back up!' 'How so?' asked Stacy, feeling worried. 'Well, I know that the core of the portal network is right in this country. If we can find the main console of the network, we can hack into the system and start it back up!' She explained. 'What are we waiting for then!?' Joseph roared, shaking his friend. 'Let's go now! We need to get to that console, and hack the system before it's too late!' Luckily, at the time, Ruby was not in the castle of Britannica, so the rebels got in freely. They found a room with a huge screen, and that was the console., 'So... Who here is good at hacking?' Jessica asked. Mark got on the seat. 'I'll try to hack it.' 'Okay, not to discourage you, but are you sure you can hack it?' Frisk asked. 'It's not as easy as-' Mark started pushing the buttons in a specific pattern. 'Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, space...' He grabbed the lever on his right, and pulled it. 'And... Start!' Incredibly, the screen immediately started buzzing and the next thing that came up was that he has gained access to the control panel. 'Or not! Shut my big mouth!' Frisk chuckled. Everyone else laughed as well. Mark cracked his knuckles and stretched his arms. 'Alright... Time to see what this bad boy can do!' It took him a few minutes, and at last he found the settings for the portals. 'Aha! Settings for the portal network!' He exclaimed. 'Let's see... Yes! Reactivate portals!' He clicked on the settings and turned it to on. Then, a sound came from outside the room. 'Nice, Mark!' Bethany gave him a high-five. 'There's no time, let's go!' said Frisk. Meanwhile, Twilight was just done with the experiment for the soul, and she was reading in her library. Suddenly, the portal (which she transferred to there) started glowing. 'Huh? What happened?' She thought, walking over to it. 'Isn't it... Closed? Why is it-' The next second, Frisk came blasting out of the portal, and they both smashed into each other. 'Ow... My head hurts...' Twilight moaned, scratching her eyes. Then, she saw her and was surprised. 'Frisk? Is that you!?' '(Gasp) Twilight Sparkle!!! I missed you so much!' Frisk immediately hugged her tightly. She smiled, and hugged back. 'Oh my Celestia, I can't believe you're okay!' Later, the humans came back one by one. 'That was so cool! I wanna experience that portal thing again! It never gets old!' Bethany exclaimed. They saw the two together, smiling happily. 'Reunions are always so bittersweet, aren't they?' Stacy chuckled. Nathan came over, and gasped. 'Whoa! What did I miss!? How the bleep did you get here, Frisk?' 'Explanation, explanation... We can talk about that later.' She replied. 'Where's Celestia!?' 'She's around if you need her, but for what?' Frisk shook him frantically. 'We have to speak to her!' The princess came over, what a coincidence! 'Did somepony call me for-' She saw Frisk and the others. 'Oh, welcome back, humans! How did you fix the portal network?' 'About that later. We have a plan.' After reuniting and all that, they sat down to talk about the emergency situation they have, and to talk about Frisk's plan. 'So, thanks to Bethany here helping us through our way to fix the portal network, we in turn angered the other humans and now we're seen as traitors.' Frisk said. 'However... We brought back something very special.' Bethany showed them the pure, red soul she had kept. 'Wait, you got the red soul?' Twilight asked. Bethany nodded. 'I have kept it since the start of the war. But, why you ask?' The princess looked to Celestia. 'Show them our one.' Opening the crystal chest, the humans were surprised to see the blue soul inside. 'I see... So you guys got the blue one...' Asriel wondered. A second later, as the two souls were placed near the other, it levitated to show the whole group the secret of the two friends that they have tried to hunt down for the past few years. 'Wait a minute... Their souls were replaced? Then... how did we get them?' Luna asked. 'That guy must have dropped them.' Bethany replied. 'But wait... Who is he anyway?' Frisk was thinking really really hard to figure out who it was. 'Wait...' She thought. Asriel saw her face. 'Frisk? Are you okay?' 'That wizard...' Twilight also had the same idea. 'Hold on... Are you thinking...' It clicked to Frisk's head, and she was shocked. 'WHAT!? How did he escape!?' 'Who did?' Nathan asked. 'It's the (quote on quote) evil emperor I defeated all those years ago! But how!? I sent him to the moon!' She yelled. Twilight immediately slammed the table. 'Aha! It's Gromiz! Is that right, Frisk?' She nodded. 'Gromiz was the evil emperor that once ruled my former country. He was good before, but since he started his rule, he became the bad guy. After I sent him to the moon, I became the new ruler. But now... It appears he has escaped from his prison.' Luna chuckled quietly to her sister. 'Just like how I sent you to the moon, Tia.' She punched her playfully. 'Luna! Don't remind me of the timeline alternating!' 'Okay, so we know the mastermind behind this, but how are we going to get those two back together!?' Flurry asked. A minute later, the souls levitated to make a script of the cure. 'Is this how we can them back together?' Cadance asked. Frisk got it. 'Let me see...' 'Two friends became foes, But this is not the end. One simple track you need to go, To set their real self free. Two souls that were theirs, You must return it to them. Have the magic spread through the air, And control their merciless minds. Climb and look over from high up, And call them out to let them see... The pair's true souls levitating high up, And show them the way. Their ears will ring, And their dark soul stings. They will realise one thing, And that will be your chance.' 'What does it mean? The other ponies asked. 'I think I know what it's trying to tell us...' Frisk replied, rolling the paper up. 'Asriel, Twilight, Nathan, you're coming with me. I'll explain what we're doing later. The others, keep on attacking until something you think is out of the ordinary.' 'Okay, okay, what is your plan, though?' Asriel questioned. 'As the cure told us, we need to somehow return their real souls to them. Once they get controlled, we can take the chance.' She explained, then turning to the others. 'Everyone else, please try to stay alive while fighting.' 'We're counting on you guys, good luck.' Celestia shook her hand. > Chapter 7: Return to Normal > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The battle rages on between the two races. And, the day that the four venture out to free their children, they planned it very carefully. Lucky for them, the two leaders told each side that they were going to be taking their stand against the other. The legends were pleased to know that, since they wanted to do it at the perfect moment. This truly will be the ultimate clash. Everyone acknowledged that. Yet, to make it a surprise, no one will be able to see who wins, as they wanted to take it one step further. Sapphire tried to lure Ruby into the ocean to fight him, so she will be completely destroyed by him, since he has the power to fight on the sea. Sapphire slowly stepped across the waves of the ocean. 'She will not defeat me here, I have the upper hand this time.' He thought. A second later, a fiery blade flew by, nearly cutting his head off. He turned around, to see Ruby levitating in the air. 'You think you have the upper hand in this unavoidable match just because you can fight on the sea? Well, I can just levitate like it's nothing! Besides, I have magic to thank for these wings.' She said, pulling her sword out. He turned into a human and pulled out his sword as well. 'Very well, then. I cannot win fairly if it's uneven anyway. So, are you willing to die on my hands yet? She shook her head. 'I think you mean that you're going to die, right? No more catchy music like our parents had last time... One of us will fall right here, and the other side takes it all.' With their determined look, they looked fiercely to the other. Up in the air, Frisk and Twilight were helping the other two to fly to the battling leaders. 'Remind me why they started this war again,' Nathan said. '(Sigh) Magic from Gromiz took over them, and now they hate each other for good.' Twilight sighed. As they got to the middle of the ocean, they heard sounds; sounds of two people fighting each other fearlessly. The two ponies rushed over to the scene and finally stand with no one left but them. 'Hold it, I see them right there!' said Asriel. 'So, do you guys want to do this now, or do we wait for them to fight for a bit first?' Frisk asked. Twilight shook her head, smiling. 'Let's wait for a bit, I am enjoying this battle, for some reason. And besides, you guys want to know which one of them is actually stronger, right?' They all nodded. Both of them were at an impasse, and they showed no mercy to each other. Their hands were blood-stained, yet they don't feel pain until the other is finished. Sapphire knocked her away. 'This time, I'll get you!' He fired his magic attack. Ruby did the same as well. 'I won't lose!' Both magics collided, leaving a huge explosion that was so powerful, it even knocked the group away. Asriel almost fell off, but grabbed Frisk's wing and she flung him back up. 'Phew! That was scary!' 'Wait for the perfect time... When I nod to you guys, get the soul out.' Twilight said. Ruby just woke up from the blast, coughing. 'Where in the world are you, Sapphire? I know you did that!' She demanded. As soon she said it, he appeared from behind and clashed his sword against hers. Then came a sword fight. Both of them were exhausted, but they know if they back up, the other will kill them. 'It's no use, give up already!' Sapphire yelled, fighting her on the ground. She swung her sword angrily and got up. 'No, never!' As their swords clashed once again, sparks were forming between the two furious captains. They didn't want to let their race down at all. All of a sudden, they heard a scream. 'Stop it!!!!' Twilight screamed from above. The both stopped fighting and looked up in front of them. Nathan and Asriel were holding the two's souls, calmly and bravely. Twilight performed the royal Canterlot voice spell so that they could hear them. 'Guys... Stop your fighting, please...' Asriel said. Upon looking at the souls, memories flooded into their minds. The two's eyes were starting to get moist and wet. 'Mother? Father? Is that you?' They both asked. The ponies cleared the area around them with a spell, and at the bottom of the ocean, they walked towards them slowly, all smiling. 'We have gone through so much to find you guys...' Frisk said. In disbelief, Ruby and Sapphire dropped their swords, and looked at their own lost souls. 'We know your names...' Asriel said kindly. Memories flowed like a stream. Soon, the two's tears were streaming out as well. Their words were followed by Twilight. 'He has stolen the heart of your true selves...' Their mind going astray from the curse, the two walked closer to their parents in tears and pain. Finally, Nathan finishes it up. 'But it's not late to change...' '...Who you are.' They all said together. The two's hearts being weighed down, they were down on one leg in front of them. Frisk comforted her daughter lightly and held her head up. Twilight did the same for her son. They said the same thing. 'You guys were friends... Don't you remember?' The two leaders closed their eyes and nodded. The two couples looked at each other. 'Let's do it now.' Twilight said. Each holding one soul, both couples, together, placed the soul in front of their hearts. Immediately, they went inside their bodies, and the dark magic seeped away from them, cracking their outside shell open and revealed the two children, who were trapped so long ago. Everyone gasped and had a huge smile on their faces. The magic carried the two unconscious children to what's sort of an island in the midst of the ocean. Magic also carried the four onto the shore as well. 'It worked... I can't believe it!' Nathan exclaimed happily. Frisk looked around. 'Hey, I know this place! But, that's besides the point, where did they go?' Twilight nodded. 'That's right, where did those two go?' 'Let's go find them then! Who knows what happened to them?' cried Asriel. > Chapter 8: Back Together > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the middle of a forest on the island, the two were sleeping ever so soundly as the magic placed them down on the ground. Then, Astell woke up for the first time in years. '(Groans) Where... Where am I?' She scratched her eyes. She heard Lunar snoring very peacefully on the other side of the area, and realised what happened. '(Gasps) Lunar Sparkle? Is that you over there?' She cried. As soon she said that Lunar woke up. He was confused to what happened before he woke up. Then, he saw his friend. 'What have I been-' He stuttered as he saw her. In disbelief and surprise, they saw each other for the first time in years. As a smile climbed up their faces, tears were also coming out as well. '(Gasps) Astell!' Lunar got up and ran to her. She was overjoyed. 'Lunar!' They both ran to each other and embraced tightly, crying tears of joy. '(Cries) I'm so sorry, Lunar... I miss you so much...' Astell cried. 'Astell... I never want to leave you again!' Lunar replied. She dried her tears. 'But we kept fighting and arguing with each other... And I-' Lunar smiled and covered her mouth gently. 'I'm so sorry about it. I never wanted it to go like this. I never hated you, why would I ever feel like that? I... I really love you, Astell. Look, I have no idea what happened to us, but... I know we have done something very wrong. Right now, war is still going on between our people. I can't... (sobs) I can't turn back anymore...' Astell smiled as well, and held his hands. 'It's okay. I love you too, my best friend. We can still fix this madness... If you are willing to give me a chance. And don't worry, I will give you that chance as well.' He was still sobbing really badly. 'Of course I will forgive you. You're my best friend, as always.' Astell laughed. '(Chuckles) Do you mind if... We jump back into our relationship now?' He shook his head, and then got tackled by her. 'Oh my, Astell, stop it! That's so ticklish!' Both of them giggled as they lied down, having each other close to their heart after so long. 'Guys! Children, where are you!?' Frisk called out. 'We're not mad at you guys, come out!' Twilight followed. Suddenly, when they were passing by, Nathan was giggling as he hid behind a bush. 'What's so funny, Nathan?' Asriel asked. 'Oh my gosh... Uhm, look away if you really can't watch.' Nathan giggled. When they revealed what's behind the bush, they saw what Nathan was seeing. The girls both gasped. 'Oh my Celestia, what are those two doing!?' Twilight asked. 'Oh, nope nope nope nope nope nope nope! I am so done!' Frisk giggled, taking pictures of the scene. They were in complete shock and burst into laughter when they saw their children were cuddling and rolling around and even kissing each other continuously. Don't worry, they are not (You get it), they are way too young to know about it. In the midst of them having so much fun, Frisk accidentally used flash on her phone camera. Astell was about to kiss Lunar again. 'Whoa whoa whoa! Oh my gosh, no no no no no!' Astell cried. Everyone bursted into huge laughter again. 'Lunar get up! Get up! (Giggling)' She laughed. 'Uh... We can explain...' Lunar giggled. Frisk laughed. 'Oh, Astell... bring it in, girl.' 'Lunar, you too! Come over here!' Twilight said, smooching. Both children went back to their parents, and they hugged them closely and kissed them. 'My child... I have finally came to free you guys.' Frisk comforted. The two let go, and hugged each other again. 'So, I see you guys have made up?' Asriel asked. They both nodded. '(Sigh of relief) Yay! You guys are a happy pair of friends again!' Twilight squeaked happily. 'But... We're not exactly sure what happened to us, though. Can you tell us anything?' Lunar asked. 'If you want to understand all of this... We'll have to start from the very, very beginning.' Frisk replied. 'Geez, a wizard cursed us? No wonder we were suffering from something that night!' Astell cried. 'I know!' Lunar answered. 'And you guys once defeated him? Whoa... I want to be like you guys one day!' Nathan chuckled. 'You might get your chance now...' 'Really?' Frisk had an idea. 'Yeah! Now that your curses have been broken, the brainwashing spell you gave to the other people should be broken as well! So now, everyone is awake and they feel free again, under no one's control!' Lunar was pleased. 'That's great! Let's go and save everyone then!' 'But... One more thing to ask...' Astell said, feeling guilty and shy. 'Will you guys forgive us for what we did? We harmed so many of you... I even tried to kill you and your friends, mom!' Twilight patted her head lightly. 'We already forgave you guys. That wasn't you, it was him controlling your minds.' 'So, what are we waiting for?' Nathan asked. 'Lunar, Astell, do you want to have a ride, or do you guys want to team up?' They both looked at each other, smiling. 'I haven't got used to being back to this form, I was much younger before the curse hit me.' Lunar said. Astell chuckled. 'Come on, we're friends again! We haven't done this in a while!' So, Frisk and Lunar turned into a pony again, and Asriel, Nathan and Astell climbed up to ride on Frisk, Twilight and Lunar. 'Let's go save the world!' Astell said with passion, and they all took off. Meanwhile, everyone was returning back to normal again. 'Huh? What's this feeling?' Stacy asked Mark. He gasped in excitement. 'They broke the spell! They did it!' Celestia just had her spell worn off. 'Oh my, it feels so good to back to my royal self again!' 'I know, Tia! We have been controlled for years now!' Luna replied to her. As the spell faded away across the world, people of both kinds rejoice as they were finally free. Soon after, leaders and people of countries around the world started to be filled with anger towards the person who did all of this. The war was over, but disorder remained as the wizard acknowledged this, and had to spawn out different beasts to buy himself more time to live. Meetings were held, decisions were made, collaborations were established and repaired once again between the humans and the ponies. 'This is an absolute outrage!' One leader exclaimed. 'We believe the ponies are treated as friends, not as enemies!' Another said. 'That mastermind behind all of this will pay!' As those kinds of comments were made, Celestia had a brilliant idea. 'Well, there is only one solution to this, and we two tribes need to work together.' She said. 'Only if your kind promises peace with us.' 'Deal is a deal, then.' She replied. Soon, Astell and Lunar will persuade both kinds to join in the fight against king Gromiz, who was hiding somewhere in the pony world. They had a speech to give. 'If I can get everyone's attention, please?' Frisk stepped up to the stage. 'Excellent, now please welcome the leaders of this battle: Astell Dreemur and Lunar Sparkle!' As the two came up, everyone was cheering loudly for them. 'Thank you all so much for hoping to bring peace back to both kinds.' Astell said. 'This is crucially important. That king who has controlled me, my friends, and all of you has gone too far. As you all know, my legendary mother, Frisk Dreemur, has defeated him many years ago. He vows for a rematch, and this time we will show no mercy against him!' The crowd cheered loudly as one. 'You all realise the bond between we two races is strong and powerful. No war will ever break it again.' Lunar swore. 'We have fought each other twice, and enough is enough! From all of us up here, we vote that he shall be killed for good!' 'Kill him dead! We want peace!' The crowd chanted. Twilight came over. 'This battle will be the ultimate clash, and together, we will stand till the very end!' The crowd continued chanting as the group hopped off the stage, guiding them and showing the evil king who's the real boss. > Chapter 9: Revenge > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Soon after, the humans and ponies joined forces to prepare for their greatest challenge yet. The preparation was tough, and to defeat the forces sent out by Gromiz was no easy task. At long last, they have caught sight of Gromiz's new castle. It appears that he has taken over the changeling tribes' castle to make it his own. The battle on Gromiz was grueling and many people who tried their hardest had failed before his minions' hands. In the final battle, backup teams from the humans joined the remaining army left after the smaller battles. Now, as many as five million supporters are joining the fight, with Astell and Lunar leading the way. This 'Team of harmony' has made this battle one of the biggest single battles in history. The main rebels were chasing the evil king all the way back to the castle. 'Begone! He will not live for another day!' Astell commanded. The ponies were carrying the human rebels, running as fast as they possibly could to catch up to him. 'Viva la harmony!' Everyone chanted loudly. As soon they got close and held their ground on the steep hill before the castle, Gromiz stopped and spawned another beast to buy himself more time to run away. This time, it was the dark version of Flowey, same like the evil, big monstrous beast in the game. 'Are you serious!? Again!?' Nathan roared in frustration. Suddenly, a loud voice boomed from another side of the area. 'Hey, Frisk Dreemur!' 'Huh?' She looked around in confusion. Then, she saw a familiar face. 'It's me, Felix!' He called out to her. 'That heartless wizard is not getting away this time!' As soon he finished, forces came in from both sides, and more came behind the group, with the royal princesses to lead the way. 'Guts and glory, everyone! Engage!' All sides started firing guns all over the beast from all sides, destroying it in minutes. This also saw the first use of high-tech magic plasma guns by the humans! 'Whoa! Since when did they have those developed?' Twilight was shocked. Astell got her sword out. 'No time for questions! As our plan goes, the six of us charge in with the wall breaker spell to pass through the locked doors, while you guys need to break the spell yourselves! I don't know if you can break the door open, but you guys need to try!' Everyone nodded to her, and the six core fighters went in quickly. 'Fall back!' Felix commanded at a side. As the spell successfully made them break in, Gromiz was shocked. 'What!? No! It can't be!' He shouted. 'How did you get back together!?' Lunar stomped the floor with rage. 'She went easy on you last time, not this time!' They continued to chase after the king. When they got in, the princesses took their part of the plan as well. 'Charge, everypony!' Celestia roared. As they got down to the castle, the ponies tried to bust the door open with magic, while the humans got off and pushed against the door furiously. The earth ponies and pegasus were helping as well. 'No more wars! We want peace!' The humans chanted. The ponies were trying the best at the same time. 'Kill him dead! Peace prevails!' As the chase continued, the six had to fight off beasts one by one and allowed the chance for Gromiz to escape further and further away. After a few rounds, he eventually had to face them head on. 'Shoot... Ran out of magic already...' He thought. Nathan and Asriel came in, looking brave. 'Fight us if you're a true man, you punk!' 'If a fight is what you want, I'll give you a fight then!' Gromiz shouted, drawing his sword. The two sides battled for a while, but 10 minutes later, the two were frozen in place by a spell. '(Gasp) I can't move!' Asriel cried. '(Grunts) What is this spell!? Gromiz!!! Get back here!' Nathan shouted as he saw the wizard run away. As soon he screamed for help, the other four came in. 'Oh no! What happened to you guys?' Frisk asked. '(Grunts) Freeze spell... Can't move!' Asriel told her. 'Sorry, you guys will have to hold on, at least until the army comes in! We'll take him down ourselves, don't worry!' Twilight replied. Round number two was Gromiz versus the other two legends: Twilight Sparkle and Frisk Dreemur. 'You're not getting away this time, Gromiz!' Twilight yelled. 'Oh, it's you guys. I thought our battle ended years ago!' He said. 'I am so ready for a rematch against the one who banished me!' Both of them drew their sword out. 'Took you long enough, haha.' Frisk chuckled with determination. However, this time, Frisk has underestimated her opponent's power. Through the years, Gromiz has became much stronger than he used to be with the dark magic fuelling him. Also, his spells were much more powerful than when she faced him several years back. The two weren't ready to give up, though. They have also became multiple times stronger through their adventures. 'You've gotten much stronger than before,' Frisk said, charging up her magic attack. The second she unleashed it, it got backfired by the wizard, and she was frozen in place. 'No! Not again!' Twilight looked at her. 'Frisk? Are you- Ah! No!' She was distracted, giving him the chance to freeze the princess. 'If I can escape long enough... I can still have the last laugh.' He thought to himself, running away. Soon, Astell and Lunar came over. 'Mother! Are you guys okay?' Astell asked. Frisk was struggling. 'My child, and Lunar, you guys must finish this yourselves. We have underestimated his power from before. We believe in you both. Don't worry about us, we'll be fine. Just... Do your best, the fate of the ponies and humans lies in your hands!' 'What? But-' Lunar stuttered. 'You two can do it. As for us... Don't worry. If you worry too much about us, you'll give him the chance to escape. Chase him down. We will break free on our own.' Twilight said. Then, another beast spawned in the hallway. 'You'll die! We'll protect you!' Lunar said. 'Just go! You're wasting your time, guys!' Twilight yelled. Suddenly, a voice ringed in their head. 'I don't think so!' It said. Frisk was curious. 'Who was that?' Suddenly, swinging across with some sort of vine, a flower burst in through the window and was using his vines to knock the beast unconscious. To Frisk's surprise, it was none other than the one she thought had been long gone since she spared him: Flowey the flower! 'Whoa! Flowey!? You're alive again!?' She asked in shock. He landed on the floor, and turned to her. 'Haha! Indeed I am back, Frisk Dreemur! I have came to aid you on this fight!' 'But why? I thought you didn't want my mercy!' He laughed. 'Since I committed suicide, this guilty feeling kept growing inside me. When Gromiz resurrected me to fight for him, I opposed of his plans furiously. I wanted to repay you for sparing me, and giving me the chance to redeem myself, even though it took me a while to realise it.' Then, the beast woke up again. With a spell, Flowey broke the freeze spell of the two and they can move again. He turned to the young warriors. 'I do not know who you guys are, however, if you have a connection with Frisk, you're good with me. We've got your back, go save the world.' He told them. They both nodded, and chased after Gromiz quickly. Now, Frisk and Twilight, joined with Flowey, is fighting the beast alone. 'So... Flowey, are you on our side now? Thank you, by he way.' Frisk asked. He nodded. 'You're welcome. I will do anything to repay you now.' Gromiz escaped all the way to the throne room successfully. Inside, there was some sort of machine that contained a dark, purple liquid. That was dark magic. 'Soon, this tank will finally be full. And then... Darkness will finally thrive throughout the lands, and I will have unlimited power!' He thought to himself, laughing. As he was laughing, the two 12-year-olds (Their age didn't change when they were controlled) stepped up to him. 'Hey, Gromiz!' Lunar yelled. 'Your battle... has just went overtime.' Astell followed. The wizard turned around and saw them. 'Seriously? You think you two can defeat me? I mean, Frisk was 15 when she defeated me, but you guys should be even younger! There's no way you'll stand a chance against me!' 'You defeated our parents, now it's time for us to have revenge!' They both said. 'Hey... Don't you see how powerful dark magic is? You can get unlimited power... It can be all yours... Joining us will be the only price.' Gromiz told them, then started singing. 'The time has come to take your side... The choice is yours alone... In the light's embrace you can hide... With all it's lies, The truth you've never known... Just come with me, join the dark, Unleash your dark self... Then by sunrise, We'll make it right, We'll win this fight, And let the darkness roam... Come with me, children... I need help to rule, It's been such a long time, Since I felt this close to...' As he was singing, Lunar knocked him away in anger, then the two future hero and heroine stand tall against the wizard. 'Do you really think, We would ever join your side? Do you really take us, For a fool?' 'All that your plan offers us, Is fear in our friends' eyes... Those are not the ones, We wish to be...' And so, the true final battle has begun between the two sides. 'Why can't you see, All the pain of being trapped? This is a way, You can finally be free...' 'All we can see is the darkness that blinds you, Keep your revenge plans away from us!' 'It's not about me, This too involves you, You both fought for years and years! Don't you think one of you should win your fight?' 'This is not a game, you jerk! We know how this will end! Hatred cannot bring your heart to peace!' 'I choose what that word means, It's how I become strong! With or without you, I won't give up...' Even though Astell has the memory of being her friend's enemy, she let go of everything that has happened and fought her puppet master with all of her might as Lunar was getting beat up by him. 'Nopony's perfect, And Lunar's no different. We will let go, Of things long past...' 'It's too late for sorries, And now, you must suffer! We'll see the sun, When you fall in hell!' 'We fell to you, Let your darkness consume us, We pay the price, Trapped in your command... However, through time, We'll redeem ourselves and win!' As the armies outside successfully got into the castle, and armies at the back of the castle shouting in rage as they saw the wizard still alive, they sang to their tune in reply. 'You cannot hide from our hands now!' (No!) 'You will give in, and burn in hell!' (No way!) 'I will give you all you desire, If you can reject them, No longer you will have to hide!' 'Can't you see... It's over now! Time to forgive!' 'Not for me, it's too late!' 'Don't let hate, Take over you!' 'Hate's what fuels me, it feels great!' 'Please, Gromiz, just wake up! We know you're not evil!' 'NO! I refuse! Just join us, it's your fate!' 'I refuse to be good!' Gromiz yelled. 'You guys give up, and join the dark!' 'Never!' Lunar yelled back. 'We won't be evil, if you wish to burn in the depths of hell, we'll send you there!' Astell added, raising her sword. Gromiz was at the brink of being defeated, yet he still holds on and keeps fighting until his last breath. All of a sudden, Frisk and the others came in. 'Aha! We caught you now, you idiotic beast!' Nathan roared as everyone raised their sword. Gromiz was trying to back away from the six furious heroes and heroines, feeling horrified for the first time in his life. 'No... No! No no no! Please don't kill me! I have so much left to do before dying!' He said, backing off. Frisk let out a yell as loud as a lion. 'NO! Not this time! I may have went easy on you last time, this time, I will make sure you suffer defeat, and never come back to this world ever again!' Everyone outside the castle, including the army that just arrived chanted loudly for them. 'Kill him dead! Kill him now! Kill him good!' As they walked closer with their weapons in the air, they all said the same thing. 'Burn in hell, you cruel king!' As they were literally one second away from swinging their swords and crushing him to pieces, they heard a loud scream for the hallway. 'Frisk, wait!!!' Someone screamed. Then, he revealed himself from the crowd, and walked to them. 'Felix? Why'd you...' Frisk asked in confusion. He got close to the dying king. 'Frisk, don't kill him. I know what happened.' She pushed him away in anger. 'Seriously!? After all he has done, to me, to my friends, to everyone here supporting us! To you... You still think he deserves mercy!?' Gromiz was pleased, and got up. 'Haha, if it isn't my dear son. Standing up for me. In fact, Frisk... I have something in store for you...' He flicked a lever, and then, there was a figure, standing while chained to a pole behind her: Chara. 'My mother!?' Frisk asked in shock. 'No... Don't you dare do what I am thinking, Gromiz! I will kill you... and kill you again in the afterlife when I die!' But he laughed. 'I supposed you would say that, Frisk. You see, I managed to kidnap your mother in the midst of chaos between you two tribes fighting. Those two betrayed me for good... And now, they will see why they shouldn't have done that.' He grabbed a dagger, and held it in front of Chara's throat. 'Now... You have a choice. If you all still wish to resist joining the darkness... I will kill her, right now. Or, join us and become the powerful heroine you once wanted to be. And don't think you can get out of this one... I have hidden guns in this room for security. If you leave this room, I will activate them and kill her.' Frisk was down on the ground, tears coming down her face. 'My daughter...' Chara said. 'I am so proud of all you have done. Don't join him. It's not worth it. Let me rest in a beautiful paradise.' '(Sobbing) No! I will not lose you too, mother... I have lost my father already from the same, cruel man... I won't make history repeat itself!' Frisk cried. Chara sighed. 'Frisk Dreemur, listen to me. Since your father died, you have changed so much. And through the years I have been with you, people have came and gone. If it weren't for the spell, I would have passed away much earlier than this. You must understand that death is an inevitable thing, even though you are staying at such a young age. I cannot talk to you any longer. I will die in this room in minutes. I just want you to remember, no matter where you and your children are, no matter what happens to you, and no matter what threats will come to you in the future... I will be watching you, my little legend.' Asriel was crying in the sight of his mother about to die. 'Chara... Don't leave us, mom!' Gromiz was getting impatient. 'Well? We don't have all day.' All of a sudden, the chain was cut and it released Chara. 'What!?' He was shocked. Flowey came out. 'Not this time, Gromiz! You forced me to kill her father, now you're doing the same thing with her mother? Think again, you idiot.' Gromiz was furious. 'Shut up, you stupid flower!' He tried to wreck him, but Felix jumped in the way and stopped his sword from cutting his stem. 'I am not your puppet anymore, father... Frisk will defeat you this time!' He swore. He knocked his son out of the way, and saw Chara trying to run away from the corner of his eye and shot her with his gun. She fell to the floor, bleeding. Soon after, he teleported away. 'No!!!! Mother, no!' Frisk yelled in horror. Astell and Lunar rushed to her. 'Are you okay, Chara?' '(Grunts) Astell... I'm glad to see my grandchild continuing my daughter's legacy... Now, you must help her to defeat Gromiz. I will not last long. His bullet hit me in the heart... (coughing) Please do it for me... My daughter... everyone.' Chara spoke softly as she was dying. She touched their faces lightly. 'Lunar, Astell, please tell Frisk that I love her so, so much. (Coughing) I wish you both, and all of your friends good luck. Take care.' As she lied on the ground, taking her final breaths, Astell was crying very badly, and kissed her grandmother. Lunar was shedding a tear as well. And she was gone. 'Astell... I am so sorry.' Lunar hugged his friend. She dried her tears. 'Thanks, Lunar. I'm glad there's a friend for me to cry on their shoulder.' The gamers emerged from the crowd of soldiers, who had their heads looking down in sorrow. Bethany slowly brushed her hand along Astell's back. 'She was a great person indeed.' 'I feel so sorry for you, and the Dreemurs.' Mark said in a deep and sad voice. 'I know how it's like, losing someone you love so much.' Then, some people came and took her body away. 'Guess there will a funeral for you guys soon.' Jessica said, depressed. Astell nodded. On the other hand, Nathan, Twilight and Asriel were crying as well. 'She was such a nice person. She didn't deserve it.' Nathan said. Asriel was completely silent as he cried. 'I feel so sorry for Frisk.' Twilight cried. Then, she looked at her. Her face was totally not normal. 'Frisk? Are you okay?' Instead of what she expected, which would be Frisk crying streams of tears, she had her tears rolling down her face, as she clenched her fists tightly. '(Sobs) You idiot... You're such a soulless person...' Felix went up to her. 'Are you alright, Frisk?' 'She doesn't look right, what's going on?' Flowey asked. Frisk was taking very deep and big breaths, and a grunt of anger and fury started to grow in her mind. 'Is she okay?' Dan asked. 'I don't know... Wait, what's going on?' Stacy said, looking at Frisk. Suddenly, magic started wrapping all around her, several dazzling colors of the rainbow. When she woke up, she has transformed into her final form, the same form that helped her bring victory in the first war. Frisk looked out into the sky. 'That was the last straw, Gromiz! Now I'm mad!!!' She buffed up her powers, and a huge gust of wind started blowing through the hallway. Felix was amazed. 'Whoa... Frisk, you look amazing!' 'I know, but you should've seen it before...' She replied. 'Whatever! That is not important! What is important... Is that he must die!' She pointed out to the sky. Felix touched her shoulders. 'Listen to me, Frisk. I know what happened to him. After all these years... I finally realized what happened to my father. He is consumed by dark magic. Yes, the one who I thought controlled the dark, was seemingly consumed by his own creation. Do you remember how you freed me? You'll have to do the same with him. I probably won't be following you for this fight.' He looked at Astell and Lunar. 'Both of you, follow your parents... And stop his plans.' Both of them nodded, and the four nodded as well. Then, Celestia came out. 'With my magic, I have found where he escaped to. I will take you there.' She said, charging up a spell. 'Everyone ready?' Astell asked. They all nodded to her, and the teleportation spell was performed. As the six got teleported away, everyone was counting and praying for them to save all of the ponykind and humanity. 'Dear legends... Please save us all. For the humans, for the ponies, for forever-lasting peace... We all grant you the power to fight him, everyone is counting on the six of you.' > Chapter 10: The True Battle > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The six got teleported to a very odd place. The ground was rocky, it was grey, and the sky was dark. 'Where are we?' Astell asked. Frisk saw the Earth. '(Gasp) Are we on the moon?' For some reason, they were able to breathe, suspecting Celestia's spell also gave them that ability. 'How could he possibly escape all the way to here?' Lunar wondered. All of a sudden, the ground started shaking vigorously. As it got more vigorous, the six stepped back, in fear of something popping out of the ground. They were right; Gromiz suddenly shot up from beneath their feet, and hovered over them in his true form. Similar to his son in his dark form, but he had giant, dark red wings. 'This is not over yet!' He shouted. Frisk got her weapons out. 'This is outrageous! You think you could lure us onto the moon to suffocate us? Nope! And now, on behalf of both humans and ponies, we will kill you and make sure you will never return to harm us ever again! 'Yeah!' Everyone shouted in reply. 'Kill him dead! We want peace!' He was cross. 'Silence at once!' He shouted, creating a sudden force, nearly blowing the six back. 'The world would be better if one of your tribes takes it all! Don't you get it!? If one kind can defeat the other, look at the benefits you'll get! And you guys still wish to continue this "harmony" and "peace" trash. If you really wish to allow them to carry on, you'll have to get through me first!' The six hang on to their determination and pride, and started the final battle against the one who murdered Frisk's family. Back in the two planets, the people were set free, yet many people still stuck around to see the final battle taking place on the moon. For some reason, with the high amount of technology, now they were able to watch things happening on the moon! It was originally created to study more about it, but then this idea came into the scientists' mind. Right now, the rebels were winning hard against the wizard. '(Cheering) Go, Frisk, go! Kill him dead!' Their friends were cheering on as they saw what's happening. As Lunar lifted into the air, he fired his gun multiple times on Gromiz. With him and Astell, they were completely dominating the match. '(Grunts) Not yet! No!' Gromiz thought, watching Astell charge the laser. She blasted it out in a fit of anger. 'You must die!' After the explosion cleared, they saw he dropped dead. 'Is he done for yet?' Asriel asked. 'It can't be that easy...' Frisk thought. 'It's never that easy.' And, they were right, Gromiz's soul started lifting out, and sucked up all of the dark magic inside him. He has revived himself, coated with dark, purple colours. 'You think you can ever defeat me!? That will never happen!' Gromiz yelled. Frisk held on to her sword tightly. 'Even if we have to die to beat you, we will never give up!' All of a sudden, he unleashed a powerful shockwave spell, knocking the four unconscious, and sealing them with another spell. '(Gasp) No! Not them!' The two cried, then turned to the wizard. 'You'll pay for this!!!' He laughed frantically. 'What!? You think you two idiotic children can beat me? Wow, I have never seen such a decision before! Oh my gosh, I am literally going to die of laughter!' The two looked at each other, and had the same thought. 'Astell... I have not perfected this spell, but we have to try it no matter what!' Lunar told her. 'That spell? Alright, anything for my best friend.' She replied. Lunar was in human form again, and they both held each other's hands while he was preparing the spell. Gromiz was still laughing. 'Seriously! What are you going to do? What are you stupid kids going to do to stop me!?' He charged up a laser spell. 'Oh, my favourite part has finally came. To destroy you all and finally claim victory!' He fired his huge ball of magic towards them. '(Gasp) Hold me now, Astell!' Lunar said quickly. The two hugged each other tightly as the ball came crashing down. It turns out, that their embrace triggered the spell that Lunar was performing. 'What is this sorcery!?' The wizard yelled. The two held each other's hands, and lifted into the air in a magical shield. Looking at Gromiz, they both said the same thing together. 'You will not control us any longer... We are here to show you the most powerful magic that lives inside our hearts!' As they spun around in the air, getting faster and faster, sparks were forming in the middle, and after a minute it exploded, knocking Gromiz back. 'What in the world are you?' He asked. A figure came out. 'We are one now... We are the evolved version of Frisk's previous fusion form, Dreamlight Sparkle!' He gasped in horror. He knew his son was beaten by her before. 'No... Not this time! You've beaten my son, that is not happening again!' The king stuttered, rushing to his left, only to see a familiar group of ponies stand before him, with their weapons and spells at bay. 'You won't escape!' They all yelled. When he rushed to his right, the other seven humans stood before him. 'Where do you think you're going!?' The seven roared. Using their spells, they freed the four legends from the spell, and they transformed to their most powerful form. (Yes, you can picture Twilight's form from season four.) 'You must die now!' They all screamed at him. Seeing as he was defenceless, being surrounded with ponies, humans, legends, and even his own son was disobeying him, he begged for mercy. 'Please... Please forgive me... Don't kill me, Frisk... You know you're the merciful girl you were when you spared Flowey... Right?' She flew to him, and clutched his neck tightly. 'I am, but to you... I will never be her.' Frisk threw him down onto the moon, followed by a harmony blaster by the ponies, then consecutive sword and magic attacks by the humans, and then followed by more magic attacks by the legends, making him impossibly weak. And, it would not be a final smackdown... Without everyone's attack unleashed as one. 'Come on, let's finish him!' Frisk yelled. Everyone gathered round for their final shot. Ponies with the harmony blaster again, humans with the overpowered Dragon Ball Z laser beams, and the six legends with the rainbow bomb. 'And... Now!' Dreamlight commanded, and everyone shot their attack at once. With all that magic and power, Gromiz's dark self finally got incinerated and got killed. > Chapter 11: The Decision > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The whole group was waiting for the dust to clear after that attack. '(Grunts) No way... No way he's still alive.' Frisk grunted. Felix stopped her as she was about to run and smash his body to pieces. 'Don't go nuts yet, Frisk. I think I may be able to tell...' And he was right. Gromiz emerged from the dust, his face filled with regret. 'Are you kidding me!? Arghh!!!!' Frisk roared, trying to escape from the magic shield that Felix was trapping her with. Felix slapped her in the face. 'Snap out of it! Let me talk to him!' Seeing everyone agrees with him, Frisk barely let that slide. So, Felix went over to the wizard. 'Gromiz... I haven't seen you like this in years! So, have you learned your lesson yet? Hmm!?' He complained, crossing his arms. When the king turned around, he was crying, and immediately started to bow before his son. 'I'm so sorry!!! Please forgive me, my son! Please!!' He cried. Felix laughed. 'I cannot believe you have suffered defeat ever since the idea of taking over Britannica hit you. I wasn't there the first time, but now I see the joy of seeing you suffer in shame and loss. Boy, I will never forget this moment where I took revenge on my puppet master!' Gromiz was holding his legs and crying even harder. 'Please forgive me, Felix... Honestly, I did not mean to do this at all! I wasn't the puppet master after all of this!' 'Wait, you weren't?' He asked. 'I wasn't the one who controlled them. The truth is... I was the one controlled.' 'What!?' Everyone gasped. 'I'll explain everything later.' Gromiz said. 'But now, all I can say is... I am sincerely sorry for everything I have done. To you two children, to all of your lives... To my son...' He looked at Frisk. 'And I cannot describe how sorry and regretful I am for killing your parents, Frisk Dreemur.' Frisk got up. 'Forgive you? Are you telling me to forgive YOU!? The one who murdered my family!?' She pulled her blade. 'Oh, my Celestia! I have waited all my life, I have waited for so many years for this moment! I can finally take my revenge once and for all!' She said, having a huge smile on her face. Gromiz had his arms up. 'I mean it, Frisk. I will do anything to repay you... Anything to get your mercy... Please...' Twilight ran to her and shook her. 'Frisk, listen to me! You are not a genocidal killer! Do you want to be one!?' 'Twilight, You don't understand. I-' Even her brother, who is her husband, slapped her in anger. 'Stop it, sister! Even I think what you're thinking is wrong! I suffered the same thing as you, but he means it. He wants mercy from you.' Even Astell shook her arm. 'Mom, you can't be like this. I have known you all my life as a peace-making, legendary pacifist. You can't change it just like that!' Frisk had a furious look on her face and seemed like she really hated that idea. 'Sis, if you can't get yourself back in control, I will fight you! I swear!' Asriel cried, and then they started to pull her and stopping her from attacking the king. 'I'll help!' Nathan said, joining them. In this situation, even Celestia wasn't amused. 'Luna, do your thing.' She said. She cleared her voice and used the royal Canterlot voice spell. 'Frisk Dreemur!' She yelled furiously. They all stopped in shock. Celestia went to her. 'Listen, Frisk. You were once a true pacifist. Someone who has made so many friends. You have to cope with your past, and allow them to have a second chance. Time will never delay. You can't change the past. Your parents have died, you must get over that!' Flurry patted Frisk's back kindly. 'That's right. You guys had differences in the past, but everyone needs some love in their life. Couldn't you let this slide? Please? For my auntie? I know you two are best friends.' As they were chatting, Felix started another song. 'Would you say, I'm a hero, Glorious and brave... If I told you something you wouldn't believe? That sometimes, we're scared, And we can't make mistakes... And we're not that heroic, it seems... But if Day can turn to night, And the darkness turn to light, Then why can't you imagine... A villain can change?' As he sang, the others started to take his side and stood for his side to give mercy to the poor, fallen villain. 'Real heroes do not really have to fight, No villain in this world is just evil... And we thought we were strong, But we were nothing but wrong... When we forgot, To be so merciful! So if Day can turn to night, And the darkness turn to light, Then why can't we imagine, A villain can change?' 'Would you say, We are heroes, Glorious and brave...' 'If we told you something, You wouldn't believe?' 'This villain, it seems, Knows to be kind...' 'And stay by our side... Till the end!' 'So if Day can turn to night, And the darkness turns to light... Then why can't you imagine... Oh, Frisk, why don't you think... Just why can't you imagine, A villain can change?' They all marched aside, revealing Gromiz behind them, desperate for her mercy. 'Frisk, I am truly sorry for my actions. I promise you, I will never do anything to harm you guys again. Can you ever forgive me?' He asked, with tears in his eye. She was pitted up with an important decision. Does she risk it and show mercy, just so he can possibly kill her, or will she take her sweet revenge for all these years, and kill him here? What will be her fate? The choice is yours to pick. Show Mercy Kill him > Chapter 11A: Show Mercy > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frisk smiled, and dropped her weapon. '(Gasps) You're sparing me?' Gromiz asked, surprised. She disabled her spell, and took off all her armour, leaving just the young girl that she once was. '(Chuckles) My friends have a point. I shouldn't kill you after all.' She said. As soon she said that, everyone cheered in happiness. Gromiz was crying tears of joy. 'Thank you so much... I will do anything to repay your kindness...' He cried, smiling. The girl was a little bit depressed that she never truly avenged her parents, but she was glad to finally befriend him. She reached out to him and held out her hand. 'As long you don't kill anyone ever again... I will forgive you for your crimes. Even if you have killed my parents.' She explained. He hesitated, but still grabbed her hand and made his promise. 'I'm just... So sorry for everything. It's too late to go back to what I have destroyed.' He sighed. Frisk giggled, and hugged him. 'Wh-What are you doing?' Gromiz asked in surprise. '(Giggles) I know you have not felt love for a long time. You deserve some kindness in your life. I understand that you didn't do this. It's someone else controlling you, I see it now. I should've been more understanding back when I first won against you. I know friendship wins and always prevails. You need to embrace it and forget about everything you have done to us in the past.' Frisk said, letting go. 'Will you forget your crimes and accept my mercy?' Everyone hoped he would have a positive response. At last, Gromiz put his hand to where his heart is, and held up two fingers. 'I swear to you, Frisk Dreemur, I will not harm anyone ever again and use my powers for good.' She nodded, and shook his hand. 'You made the correct choice.' Back on Earth, everyone was celebrating that the war was over at long last, and peace finally vowed through the land. Threats have come constantly, but thanks to their efforts, they were able to save everyone once again. A speech was given out on the news about them declaring the end of the war, and for the king's apology. 'Greetings to all humans and ponies, we understand that the second pony war has been a terrifying experience, like the first. Many of us were separated. Many brave ones have come and gone. However, we are here to bring great and joyful news to you all today.' Frisk said on stage to everyone listening, whether at the live scene or not. 'Astell, take it away.' She stepped up. 'After a long time, we are delighted to announce that the second pony war is officially over!' As soon she said it, everyone cheered in happiness of long-lasting peace. 'However, the mastermind behind this war, has some explanation to do and owe us a big apology. Some of you may remember him, and some of you may not, but we would like to introduce Frisk's newest friend to you all. Please welcome, the former ruler of Britannica many years ago, emperor Gromiz.' Lunar said. As you expected, when he stepped up to the stage, the crowd booed loudly. They yelled things such as 'You're a failure!' and 'Why isn't he dead!?' and even 'He should've been burnt in hell!' The king was full of guilt, but still remained to be positive as he started speaking. 'Hello, fellow people. I understand how much pain I have brought to you all. And, all I can say at the end of the day, is that I have no excuse for what I have done. I am sincerely sorry to all of the human race and ponykind. But, let me explain myself. I was controlled by dark magic, that is why I became evil in the first place. To those of Britannica, whether I hurt you, or your family, I never wanted to harm you all. I wanted to save you from the previous ruler. Since my banishment, the magic grew and grew, until now. The real villain here, isn't me. Everyone here must understand my past.' Gromiz explained. Everyone started chatting in confusion. 'Dark magic is hard to understand. And, I am depressed to say that it's power can come back at any minute. Even so, I hope you all understand what happened to me. Together, we can create a much better future. Again, I am sincerely sorry for everything.' He said, taking a bow. Frisk came over. 'He may not be the best at friendship, but he is working on it. Hope you all understand and give him another chance. If he is willing to change, then I hope you all can adapt to his new self very soon. And finally, we deeply thank everyone who has supported us in our final assault, it wasn't an easy task. And we also owe a massive thank you to everyone's support for us even if you weren't there.' As camera lights flashed here and there, the group on stage left. And at last, the war was over. Once again, the worlds were completely different places after the war. However, with magic, Gromiz was able to time warp everything back to how it was before the war, saving all the countries a large sum of money on repairs. And, he has promised to redeem himself, and hoped to gain everyone's trust with him sitting on the throne of the country once again. Celebrations were held worldwide to commemorate the end of the war. No one felt gloomy and no one complained. Finally, both sides can live together in love and peace. A few days later, Felix got a phone call. 'Felix here, who's this?' He asked. 'Hello, my son. I just wanted to ask you something.' Gromiz told him. 'Oh, what is it, father?' 'I was just wondering... if you guys would be interested in a very special meal tonight at the Britannica palace? I wanted to repay your kindness to me.' He explained. 'Give me one minute.' Felix said, walking out the room. In the throne room, Frisk was chatting with Twilight. 'I'm so glad our children are back together again,' Frisk said. '(Giggles) Don't you remember? We hoped the friendship between us will continue on. And it did, it just took some time.' said Twilight. 'Hey Frisk, something interesting the caller wants to tell you.' Felix said while walking in the room. She picked up the phone. 'Hello, who's this?' 'Ah, if it isn't Frisk Dreemur.' Gromiz chuckled. 'I was wondering if you guys are free tonight for dinner at the palace? For me to repay your mercy?' 'Oh, sure! I'll give you a call later if anyone of us can't make it.' She answered. 'Alright, talk to you later, Gromiz.' She hung up the call. 'Wow, he's changing fast.' 'What did he ask?' Twilight asked. 'He said he want to repay our mercy with a fabulous meal tonight at the palace. Wanna come, Twilight?' She nodded to her. That night, they were outside the palace. 'I couldn't have spared him if it weren't for you guys, though.' Frisk said to everyone. Jessica giggled. 'I can't wait to enjoy this feast!' 'Who wouldn't be excited for it?' Spike asked. As they got to the door, Gromiz came out. 'Welcome, my friends! Glad you're here tonight to see what I have got for you all.' He said, bowing. 'What are we waiting for then? Let's go!' Asriel beamed. They sat at the long table in the dining room, one side with the ponies, and one side with the humans. The chairs even had labels saying which person sits on which seat, with Frisk and Twilight at the front. 'Alright, let's see what this bad boy can do!' Gromiz said, laying a long tablecloth on the table. 'Hmm, I can't help but feel like this seems strikingly familiar...' Nathan said. 'Oh, you'll see.' He said. He lifted it at the end, and shook it forward. As it continued across, food and beverages started to appear magically on the tablecloth! Luxurious and pricy food, just for the most important people in all of Earth and Equestria. 'Wow, this is amazing!' Astell thought. He chuckled. 'Don't be shy to dig in, you guys deserved all of this.' 'One problem, though.' Nathan said. 'Our kids may be a bit... young for the drinks here.' 'Ah, don't worry. It's not alcohol. I think one of your fellow friends may recognize it...' He glanced at Stacy, then went back to normal. 'I got some music as well, if you don't mind. Well, I won't disturb you guys any further. If you need anything, you know where to find me. Don't find the others, they have no idea about this. So, enjoy your time, be my guest, everyone.' He left and went back to the throne room. 'Huh, maybe he's talking about that soda that's named after me from that game?' Stacy asked. 'Oh, whatever.' 'So, what are we waiting for?' Mark asked, turning to Frisk. She had an idea. 'Before we feast, I have some words to say...' She stood up, levitating her glass with magic, then called everyone else to do the same. 'I think we can all say, that day was a great day indeed. And now, peace will prevail between us at long last. I deeply thank all of you here for being with me through everything. Whether from the start, my discovery of the ponykind, the first war, the crisis of Equestria, or even now.' She took a quick look at everyone as she mentioned them. 'Our friendships have been tested multiple times, and we have pulled through all of them. We all know adventures in our lives have their limits, and even we have our own limitations. However, at the end of the day, we can all agree that friendship truly is the best magic in existence.' Everyone looked at each other, smiling. 'So, let us enjoy our lovely time together tonight, and finally, from all of us together, let us lift our glass, and wish for the best for our future.' Everyone lifted their glass to the middle, and made a very satisfying clink sound. 'Cheers to long-lasting peace!' They all said. After all this time, they finally know it was all over. The last villain they possibly know has finally been reformed and befriended. And so, they thought the dark has finally been eradicated. Since then, life has been much more easier for the entire group. Their adventures coming to a halt may be a bit depressing, but they will never forget their true identity. For the gaming group, they continued to be the celebrity stars they were on YouTube. With the spotlight they received in the pony wars, they became a bigger hit. Many people knew their story. Yet, the six youtubers never actually talked about it in their regular videos, for some reason. The mane seven continued their normal lives as everyday ponies did. However, nopony would ever forget the story behind their efforts in the second pony war. Everypony in town knew about it. They saw them as heroines, true savior s of their kind. Celestia even had the temptation to have Twilight take over her position as well. One day, she was chatting with her pupil, and this idea came to her mind. 'By the way, Twilight, I have been thinking about something interesting lately...' She said. 'What is it, Celestia?' Twilight asked. 'I believe with all that you've went through in these years, I think that you have the ability to become a ruler even better than me. Although I have kept my reputation in Equestria, I have been ruling for a long time. If you wish, I have a one-time spell that can turn you into a queen instead of just a princess.' She explained. Twilight gasped. She has always wanted to be her teacher's successor. However, to Celestia's surprise, she shook her head. 'To be honest, being a princess is already a very hard decision. And, I couldn't imagine the pressure of being at the top job of everypony. And also, I feel like it will be difficult for them to adapt to a new queen. I know Nathan can be king as well, I just think I don't have the ability to handle it. Even though I have been craving for this path since I was a filly, I have to say my friends are more important to me in the end.' The princess nodded her head. 'I see. You've been doing a great job lately, though.' Twilight was blushing. 'Geez, don't say that, you make me so shy...' And they both laughed. As for the Dreemurs, they had more business to do. Sadly enough, Chara unfortunately lost her life to the dark side. Yet again, the same cruel man killed her other parent. She rested in peace, and her coffin was laid into the ground. Frisk picked a very special place; Her mother rested under a very significant tree, on a very familiar hill: The same place where Twilight and Frisk became the best of friends. Frisk's friends attended the funeral. Even the princesses did. And of course, to say an apology that was just a second too late, Gromiz came as well. As Chara's coffin was lowered into the hole, Frisk shed a tear- But it was a tear of happiness, because she know that her mother is in a much better place. The others cried as well. Frisk knew that she had to go someday. She could never shake away the pain of her being gone from her life, but she knew she can get over it. As the flowers were thrown in the hole, everyone walked away in sorrow. 'Chara... I am so sorry. I hope in the heavens... You'll forgive me.' Gromiz said, creating her favorite flower by magic, and tossing it down. Asriel comforted him as he walked away. Lastly, the legends came. Nathan and Twilight both cried. So did Lunar. As Astell walked to her grandmother's grave, she had a purple flower in her hand. 'This flower, from what I know from my childhood, represented me and Lunar. I know you may not have seen us win, but I just wanted to let you know that we will be good children from now on.' She cried. Asriel was crying streams of tears. 'I love you so much, mom... I... I miss you...' As he walked back, Frisk hugged him and told the two to leave her alone. Then, it was finally Frisk's turn before she can never see her again, where her mother will be buried in the ground. She had a very special flower in her hand. It was rainbow colored. '(Sigh) Mom, I loved you with all of my heart. I will never be thankful enough that you brought me into this world. If you never did that, I wouldn't be the legend everyone depends on today. I thank you for everything you've done for me when you were still here. I can't tell when I will pass and join you, but in my heart, you will always be in there... somewhere.' Her tears started dripping down, faster and faster. '(Sobs) I wish you are with my father as well. If you see him... Tell me in my dreams you guys are okay. I will miss you guys, so so much. And I love you both dearly.' Celestia came over. 'Frisk, it's time to go.' She nodded to her. 'One more minute, Tia.' Frisk turned back, holding the flower as tightly as she could. '(Cries) I should've saved you, mother... There's nothing I can do. But now... I can only face the future head on. I can't turn back anymore.' As she knew her time with her mommy was almost over, it was finally time... to say goodbye. 'Goodbye, Chara. I love you so much.' She cried, dropping the flower. As she came over to the portal in the palace, everyone looked like there was a rain cloud over their head. '(Sniffs) I'm fine, guys.' Frisk said. Twilight hugged her tightly. 'Oh, Frisk... Don't ever look this sad ever again, I beg you...' The other four cried a bit, and went over to her and hugged her as well. 'I'm still here for you, sister,' Asriel comforted. 'We're still friends,' Nathan said. 'Don't be sorrowful,' cried Lunar. 'We will make it all okay.' Astell said, kissing her mother. As they all let go, Frisk finally smiled. As she looked out the window, she finally understood one thing: 'My mother is in a better place now. I am not a naive child anymore.' **Good End** Click me for the ending! > Chapter 11B: Kill Him > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frisk had a cold smile. 'It's too late for sorries now...' Everyone gasped. They can't believe she would be saying that. 'Frisk, please don't do this... He can change, just give him a chance!' Twilight cried, shaking her friend. She pushed the princess away. 'Do not try to stop me. He had so many years to think about what he has done.' As she walked with her blade in hand, everyone was trying to stop her. 'Don't do it, Frisk!' Stacy cried. 'This is not right, my friend. We will not let you do this!' Mark warned her. 'I said... I will not show mercy!' She yelled, pushing everyone away with a magic border, making them impossible to stop her. Lunar and Astell were banging on the shell of the magic aura. 'No! Let us in! Please!' But it was no use. Frisk walked closer and closer, laughing and grinning as she went. 'Finally... emperor Gromiz. You idiotic king, I have waited all my life for this. You have murdered my family. Now, after all of these years, I finally have the chance to terminate you from this world... And never come back again!' She laughed. Gromiz was crying streams of tears. 'Please!!! I am so sorry!!! You can't do this to me!' She stopped in front of him. 'If you are really sorry... Why did you kill Chara then!?' With a slash, Frisk swung her sword with all of her furies and might, and sliced his body in half, then pushed her sword right through his heart. And so, she has finally obtained his soul. 'Yes... Oh, YES!' She exclaimed happily. 'At long last! I have finally obtained my greatest treasure of all! Oh, sweet Asgore, sweet Chara... I have at last avenged you both!' Everyone was at a side, speechless. 'When I get home, I will preserve this soul well... I will make sure nothing can damage my most precious loot from all of my battles!' She said further. 'Now... Everyone will love me, I helped them finally bring peace!' Then, Felix got up. 'No, Frisk.' 'What did you say?' 'They won't love you, Frisk,' He said in a unamused voice. 'You could've spared his life and we can still live in peace. He admitted his crime, and the dark magic inside him faded. He is not controlled by the dark side anymore. He is not the villain after all.' Asriel got up in anger. 'Are you insane, sister? Did you kill him, just for that? I went through the same tragedy, but I agree with Twilight. Everyone should have another chance to prove they are useful and kind.' Soon, the rebels were all standing on Twilight's side. 'Wh-What!? Guys, you can't do this to me! I'm your friend!' Frisk said. Twilight slapped her in the face. 'Not anymore, Frisk Dreemur. I cannot believe what you have done. I have known you for such a long time, we were the best of friends, we loved each other as a friend dearly. However... If you refuse to be the caring girl I once had known...' She was crying. 'Then our friendship is done!' She jumped to a side, and turned back into a pony, refusing to be on Frisk's side. She cried and cried very loudly in the loss of her friend. Soon enough, everyone was furious. 'She's right!' Nathan exclaimed. 'He's not the monster, you are!' Bethany cried. 'We cannot have such a dangerous killer in our world again!' Felix warned her. 'Banish her! Banish her! Banish her!' The rest of the mane seven all chanted. Celestia nodded to them, and the other princesses also nodded to each other. They called Twilight to come over and do the spell. With magic, they grabbed Frisk and they were charging up a very powerful spell. 'On behalf of the humans and ponies, I, princess Celestia, banish you to the ends of this universe, and you horrifying human will never come back to hurt us ever again!' Frisk was frightened. 'No! You all can't do this to me! I am your friend... A member of your big family... I don't want to die and lose you all! Twilight, please forgive me!' Hanging back her tears, Twilight had no choice left. 'No, Frisk! I am sorry, but you leave us no choice!' Unleashing the spell, the girl disappeared in a blink of an eye, and they all dropped back down. 'Come on, everypony. Let us go back.' Cadance said to everyone, charging up a teleportation spell. As they got back to the Earth, they were all relieved that Frisk was finally gone, but was sad to see a friend go. '(Sigh) I can't believe we had to do it in the end...' Luna said. 'I know, Luna. It must be hard for you guys, and it is hard for me to see my mother's heart being weighed down.' Lunar said, shedding a bit of tears. Everyone was crying a bit to see such a great legend all of a sudden leave them. Frisk was once a savior, the true heroine. Yet, the one who everyone called 'hope', the one they called 'angel', had forgotten about the magic of friendship. She forgot about forgiveness. Justice was sadly not served. Looking over from the edge of a cliff, Twilight was crying non-stop. Asriel went over to her. 'Well, here we are again, Twilly. Me comforting you about the loss of your friend.' He sighed. She looked at him. 'There was no other way... I didn't want to do it...' '(Sigh) Twilight, I didn't want that to happen either. Honestly, I didn't want to lose the one I have loved all my life again. Seeing you like this, it makes me want to cry as well.' He pulled her close and hugged her. 'I know Frisk may be gone, but I am his brother. If you need anything, turn to me. Treat me like a best friend like you did with her.' She got up, still crying. 'Why did you have to do this, Frisk? Why did you suddenly forget who you're meant to be? You were once our legend, you could've joined the five of us to continue on... And you brought your banishment to yourself...' Nathan, Astell, and Lunar came over. 'Mother, please don't cry. I know it's hard.' Lunar comforted. '(Sobs) I can't believe it either.' Astell cried. They all stood at the top of the cliff, looking over the land as the five exotic legends. It could've been six, but that one act broke their friendship apart. As their tears continue to drop, one by one, Twilight was full of sorrow and had only one question. 'Frisk Dreemur, if you can turn back time, to where you had to decide what to do... Will you spare him and come back? Please?' **Bad End** Do you regret your decision? Do you want to turn back? > Chapter 12 (The End): Recovering Friendship > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A year after the war, everything was just fine. Nothing bad happening, peace continued to spread, and all was well. The group was at what's possibly the pinnacle of their legacy so far. They thought their adventures are probably over by now, so most of them just returned back to their normal lives. But to those two, they could never forgive themselves for what they have done to everyone. Even though they know it wasn't them, they were still very guilty about it. That day, Astell felt very depressed and was alone in her room. '(Sigh) What have I done?' She thought to herself. Then, Frisk came in. 'Hi Astell, how are you feeling today?' She asked. 'Not really much.' Astell replied. 'I just want to be alone for a bit.' Frisk was confused and knew something was wrong. 'What's wrong, Astell? You don't sound as good as you were before...' She sighed. 'I said nothing is wrong with me, mom. Leave me alone for a bit.' 'Why?' '(Sigh) I never told anyone about it. Not even Lunar. I feel so guilty about starting the war. I never wanted to hurt you guys, I never did. Yet, I let the dark magic seep inside me when I slept. I should've been much more cautious. I feel like... my friendship with him is falling apart recently. Both of us regret what we have done, but we can never forgive ourselves for what we did. And I feel so sad that I can't turn back anymore.' Astell confessed. 'Why would you ever say that, Astell? You're my daughter. You can tell me about it. What brought this up?' Frisk asked, sitting beside her. 'Because ever since I was little, I have been Lunar Sparkle's best friend. I have never had a fight this big with him before. What if... (sobs) what if he never forgave me after all? He said he was sorry, but did he really mean it? I never knew if he really did feel bad. I even hoped to win his heart one day when I'm older... But will he accept me now?' Frisk gasped and had a bit of a frown on her face. She pulled her daughter close and touched her shoulders. 'Listen, my child. I really hope I don't ever hear that coming out of your mouth again. I'm not mad at you, I just wanted you to forget about your wrongdoings. Lunar will look up to you, and you will do the same with him. It doesn't matter what your past is like, the bond between you both is unbreakable. Twilight and I will guide you to know more about friendship, I know you can be a wonderful successor of mine. I believe in you, Astell Dreemur.' Then, Gromiz came in as well. 'What's happening?' He asked. Frisk whispered what she confessed to her. He sighed. 'Look, I'm sorry, Astell. I never knew how bad this magic is. And, I know the truth behind the darkness. However, that is something to worry about on another day. Never forget how much your friends love you, please...' He comforted, helping to dry her tears. 'Thanks, guys. I don't know what I'll do without you both.' Astell cried. Twilight called Frisk from behind the door. 'Frisk, is Astell in there?' They were whispering with the door slightly opened. Afterward, she turned to Astell. 'Oh, and I think someone wants their best friend right now.' She said, smiling. When Astell entered the room, Lunar was crying. 'Hey... Are you okay, Lunar?' She asked. '(Sobs) I'm fine... Don't bother me.' replied Lunar. She was speechless. She knew he was thinking of the same thing. 'It's okay, my best friend. I know how you feel. I'm sorry too.' Lunar stopped crying. 'You are?' 'Of course, I'm sorry. I never wanted this to happen. You and I were best friends for life. We rarely fought, remember? I would never hate you. In my heart, you're always my hope. you're everything I wanted. I didn't want to lose you in the war we made. You're not just my friend, to be honest. I feel like we're more like a pair of siblings as well. That's why I love you so much.' She said, sitting next to him. Lunar smiled. 'Are you joking?' She shook her head. 'Why would I joke about this kind of feeling? We have a special bond. Our friendship will never be broken again. I promise you, I will always be your friend. No matter what happens. Come what may; No matter if we're miles apart, no matter if we fight to our last breath, no matter if we pass... In our hearts, we're always together.' '(Chuckles) I will surely forgive you, then.' He finally said. 'So... Sis?' Astell laughed. 'Yeah? I like the nickname, by the way.' He was acting weirdly, and he didn't want Astell to see his embarrassed face. 'I have been waiting to say this since the day we became best friends,' He confessed, spawning a few purple flowers to give to her. 'I know we're a bit young, but...' She beamed. She knew what he was going to say, and hugged him tightly on his bed. '(Giggles) I love you so much, Lunar Sparkle.' She said. He gasped and grinned. 'Oh, I love you too.' Their parents were outside the room, softly giggling. 'Love surely won, didn't it everyone?' Twilight asked. Nathan nodded. 'I couldn't agree more, sweetheart.' 'So Frisk, are you okay with this?' asked Asriel. She smiled. 'You know what my answer will be. But how about you guys, then?' She said as she walked away with happiness in her heart. Somewhere in the vast depths of space, someone was laughing as he looked at the planet of Equestria. '(Snickers) So, even he has failed, huh? Man, this girl is tough.' He thought. 'If she's really that hard of a target... Let's see if she can survive this, then...' He pulled out a device and tossed it down. It landed inside of the forest, and he flew away in hopes it will work. 'If Frisk Dreemur can survive this... I will have to step into the game, and leave her no choice.' And so, the fate of Equestria plunges into darkness once again... **The End?**
