> Dragon Ball Z Kai: Equestrian Adventures > by ChristtonMash > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Welcome to Equestria, Goku! Nightmare Moon's Return? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the heavenly Other World stood a man with spiky black hair in an orange gi and a blue belt tied around his waist. Along with this was a blue undershirt and weighted wristbands. He darted across the skies, throwing an assortment of punches and kicks before smashing his fist into the ground, creating an abnormally large hole. This was Son Goku, a Saiyan raised on planet Earth. Throughout his life, he had faced many terrifying and powerful foes. The Red Ribbon Army, Raditz, and Frieza just to name a few. However, it was his fight with Cell, the bio-android, that was his most recent and his last fight before his sacrifice. Goku's son, Gohan, had almost defeated Cell, but he had one last trick up his sleeve. If he was going to die, he would take the planet and everyone on it with him. Cell tried to self destruct, but Goku jumped in and used his Instant Transmission technique to warp himself and Cell to King Kai's planet, where the bio-android self destructed. However, Cell managed to regenerate from a single cell of his body left from the explosion. He returned to Earth, now stronger than ever. Even so, Gohan managed to destroy Cell and bring peace back to the world. Goku was given the opportunity to be brought back to life, but he refused, saying that all of the threats that came to Earth were drawn in by him and his power. Earth has enjoyed three more months of peace and Goku now lived with King Kai, the is the king of the northern quadrant of the universe. While Goku had many opportunities to fight in Other World, he was starting to get bored. "That seems good enough for today." Goku said to no one in particular. "But there's only so much I can do around here, and the Other World Tournament isn't coming again until next year. I know!" He stopped his midair training and preformed Instant Transmission towards King Kai. When he arrived on the planet, the king was currently working on his house since Goku destroyed it during one of his training sessions. He turned around to see Goku mere inches away from him. He jumped back in shock. "Goku! W-what are you doing here?! I told you to stay away while I was working!" The Saiyan warrior scratched his head in embarrassment. "I know, King Kai, but things have been pretty slow around here ever since the Other World Martial Arts Tournament." King Kai knew where he was headed and shook his head. "I'm sorry Goku. As much as I would love for you to get out of my hair, you can't just walk among mortals. You died during your fight with Cell and until your're wished back by the Dragon Balls, you're unfortunately stuck here, so just keep training. I'm sure there's something you can do to entertain yourself." Before he could continue, King Kai froze, standing completely motionless besides his antennae twitching and several nervous facial expressions. He was receiving a message via telepathy. When the transmission ended, he lowered his antennae slightly and smiled. By now, Goku was perplexed and tapped the king on the head. "Hey, are you alright? You seem really distant." King Kai snapped back into reality. "Oh, uh- Good news Goku, I'm sending you off on a special mission with an even greater perk." The Saiyan leaned in, now intrigued by what he had to say. "Yep, I found someone who will grant you a pass to be among the living again." "Wow! Really!?" Goku now had a big, excited grin on his face. "But I thought you said I could only be wished back by the Dragon Balls." "I did, but I never said that was your only way." King Kai chuckled However, it is slightly flawed. You'll still be deceased when you go to this place." "Oh... bummer. But hey, at least I can have some fun outside of Other World. So, when do I head out?" Goku asked. That's when he saw King Kai plaster on an even bigger smile. "Right now!" King Kai quickly put his hands forward before launching a yellow sphere of Ki energy towards the Saiyan before warping him off to his location. After he vanished, the king took a sigh of relief. "Finally, some peace at last." King Kai then relaxed and leaned against the wall he had just built for his house. However, he had put to much pressure on it, causing the structure to break apart. King Kai sighed, knowing that he had just accidentally destroyed his work. "Ugh..." When light was visible once more, Goku was now well aware that he was no longer in Other World. "Hello, sir." a feminine voice caught the attention of Goku as he turned to see who owned the voice. It was a tall white unicorn with wings. Her light colored rainbow mane majestically flowed in the air. She wore a crown and had pale light magenta eyes. "You must be the one King Kai sent over. I am Princess Celestia." "Hey there! I'm Goku! I'm a Saiyan from planet Earth!" The princess nodded. "From what King Kai told me, you're quite the fighter." Goku smirked. "So, you know King Kai?" "We go back to few thousand years." she chuckled. "Wow! So why did you ask King Kai to send me here?" The Saiyan looked around at the room he was in. He noticed the large amount of details in the room. "If I'm here because you want to give me some big reward, I've got to decline. I don't have a treasure cove!" Celestia's expression suddenly turned grim. "It is not for that, but something far worse." Goku leaned in in curiosity. "My sister, Princess Luna, was banished to the moon for a thousand years, and now she is going to return, tonight." "Well that's great! It must be nice to see your sister again after so long." "Sadly, that is not the case. For thousands of years, Luna and I have raised and lowered the Moon and Sun respectively. But as time went on, my younger sister became resentful. The ponies relished and played in the day I brought forth, but shunned and slept through her beautiful night." "One fateful day, she refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn. I tried to reason with her, but the bitterness in her heart had transformed her into a wicked mare of darkness: Nightmare Moon. She pledged to bring about eternal night. I was reluctant to banish her to the moon. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do." She shed a tear before continuing. "She will return tonight, but unlike before, I do not have the means necessary to banish her once more, nor do I want to." Goku now realized why she had brought him here. Celestia's sister: Princess Luna, had become corrupted by evil. She was going to confront her tonight and needed backup if something went wrong. "You realize why I ask this of you. Am I correct?" The Saiyan snapped back into reality and replied with a quick nod. "Thank you, Son Goku. I wish I did not have to ask this of you." "It's no problem, really. I'm eager to get in on some action!" Celestia nodded once more. "For now, suggest you head down to Ponyville. Night shall be arriving soon and I believe you should be prepared for when Nightmare Moon comes. I will summon you if needed, but this is something that is between me and my sister." She then handed Goku a map and wished him safe travels. The Saiyan flew out of one of the open windows and finally took the time to see what his surroundings looked like outside of the castle. Outside the castle was a city featuring ivory towers with golden spires, and many waterfalls and rivers running through it. He continued hovering before taking off once more in a burst of speed, surrounded by a clear light blue aura. Goku had met some interesting folks once he arrived. Some ponies ran and hid while one unicorn in particular convinced the others that he was friendly thanks to him having hands. Eventually, the residents of Ponyville finally warmed up to Goku. Not to long after that was when he found a note on his map that Celestia wrote, reading: "Go to the Library and find Twilight Sparkle." When he arrived, there seemed to be a large party going on with what seemed like hundreds of ponies in the massive tree library. The most important thing he noticed was the large food table set up. Goku immediately rushed over and sat himself down, only to come face to face with a pink earth pony with an even pinker and puffier mane. "Hi there! I'm Pinkie Pie and I love making new friends! I don't think I've ever seen you around here! What's your name?" she asked in a spastic way. "I'm Goku! A Saiyan from planet Earth." He took a bite out of one of the cupcakes on the table. "Wow! You seem hungry. Cupcake race! One, Two, Three, Go!" And just like that, Goku and Pinkie started gouging themselves with food. A few ponies stopped to see what was going on, but many simply continued mingling. Out of the corner of his eye, the Saiyan noticed a small purple dragon with green spikes walking up stairs. "Aren't you gonna keep eating?" Pinkie asked, her mouth stuffed with cupcakes. Goku shook his head. "Uh- you go on ahead, there's something I gotta do." He navigated his way through ponies as they headed out the door. As he flew up the stairs, he made it just in time to see the dragon finish talking to a lavender unicorn. "Sorry if I'm interrupting, but are you Twilight Sparkle?" the Saiyan earned a nod before Pinkie Pie burst through the door. "C'mon, it's time to watch the sunrise!" "Well you heard her, it's time to go!" Twilight grabbed the dragon and teleported out of the room. At the town hall, everypony and Goku were anxiously waiting for Celestia to raise the Sun for the start of the Sumer Sun Celebration. Mayor Mare, the mayor of Ponyville stepped up and adressed the ponies. "Fillies and gentlecolts, as mayor of Ponyville, it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration!" Ponies cheered as Goku looked over to Twilight to see her nervous expression. "In just a few moments, our town will witness the magic of the sunrise, and celebrate this, the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce to you the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and the moon each and every day, the good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria..." A white unicorn readied herself to pull open the curtains as a light yellow pegasus directed a chorus of birds to start singing. " ...Princess Celestia!" When the curtains opened, Celestia was nowhere to be seen. Goku and Twilight's hearts sunk. "This can't be good." Twilight Sparkle whimpered. Mayor Mare tried to calm everypony down while Pinkie Pie brushed it off as a game of hide and seek. Ponies continued to panic before a dark glowing blue fog covered the balcony where Celestia was supposed to be. A dark blue alicorn the size of Celestia emerged from the fog. Twilight Sparkle gasped. "Oh no... Nightmare Moon!" Spike immediately fainted. "Oh, my beloved subjects. It's been so long since I've seen your precious, little sun-loving faces." Nightmare Moon laughed. "What did you do with our Princess?!" A cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane raced towards Nightmare Moon before an orange earth pony grabbed her tail. "Whoa there, Nelly..." she said in a muffled voice. Nightmare Moon chuckled. "Why, am I not royal enough for you? Don't you know who I am?" Ooh, ooh, more guessing games! Um, Hokey Smokes! How about... Queen Meanie! No! Black Snooty, Black Snooty-" Before Pinkie Pie could continue, the orange earth mare put an apple in Pinkie's mouth. Nightmare Moon continued with Pinkie now silenced. "Does my crown no longer count now that I have been imprisoned for a thousand years? Did you not recall the legend? Did you not see the signs?" "I did." Twilight called out, drawling everyone's attention to her." And I know who you are. You're the Mare in the Moon – Nightmare Moon!" The crowd gasped at this realization. Nightmare Moon chuckled. "Well well well, somepony who remembers me. Then you also know why I'm here." Twilight Sparkle gulped, knowing what was coming next. "You're here to... to..." "Remember this day, little ponies, for it was your last. From this moment forth, the night will last forever!" Nightmare Moon laughed. Ponies were now frantic, screaming as loud as they could, knowing that they were now doomed to eternal night. "Not so fast!" All eyes turned to Goku who was adjusting his wristbands. "Ah... And who and what might you be?" Nightmare Moon asked. "You don't need to know that right now." Before anyone could react, the Saiyan vanished into thin air before appearing right in front of her, landing a punch to her cheek. The crowd gasped as Nightmare Moon was send sprawling back a few feet. She got back up before smirking. "It seems I don't have to hold back. You should feel honored. Thou shall be the first ones to see our first to witness my true power." Goku suddenly felt a familiar energy emitting from Nightmare Moon. "Kaioken!" Before anyone could react, Nightmare Moon was engulfed by a crimson red aura. As ponies stared in utter fear, the Saiyan smirked. "So, you know it too, huh?" he chuckled to himself a little. "Kaioken!" Goku then underwent the same process, dawning a new aura as well. Nightmare Moon remained unfazed. "They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but thou will not earn my respect this way!" Goku and Nightmare Moon's aura's flared up even higher then before. "Then it's time to go a round!" > The Elements Return! Goku! Vs. Nightmare Moon! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Goku and Nightmare Moon stared each other off, each waiting to make a move. Nightmare Moon launched forward before landing a blow on the saiyan's face. He did not flinch, but instead turned his head as if the fist was not even there. "Come on. If you're not gonna put effort into it, at least make things interesting." Goku roundhouse kicked the back of her neck. He then uppercut Nightmare Moon while she was still dazed before dashing behind her one last time before throwing a Ki-laced punch at Nightmare Moon's face. "See? You gotta string in some basic combos before going for the finisher. If I were you, I'd start out small and then work up to the big stuff." By now, the alicorn was already running out of energy. How could she, Nightmare Moon, the strongest in all of Equestria, be depleted of a large portion of her energy in a few simple blows. She was fighting and loosing to this strange bipedal warrior who was taking this all as a game. She would not let this simple mortal make a fool out of her. "Enough!" Nightmare Moon ascended upwards before charging her horn with magic. "Your demise shall be swift! Kaioken Times 5!" The saiyan felt her energy. She was channeling all of her energy into this one blast. He would have to raise his power even further if he wanted to avoid injury."Kaioken Times 3!" Goku's aura flared even more before he cupped his hands, starting a chant. "Ka...! Me...! Ha...! Me..." A blue orb of Ki energy filled the air space between his palms. "This is the end of you! Nightmare Javelin!" Nightmare Moon launched her dark blue beam towards her opponent the very moment he finished . "HAAAA!!!!!" Goku threw his hands forward, releasing a blue wave of energy. As the beams collided, they started pushing against each other, struggling for superiority over one another. 'I have to end this quick. Hope this won't hurt her too much!' "Kaioken Times 4!!!" Goku's Kamehameha enlarged in size, easily overpowering the Nightmare Javelin. But before the wave of Ki could hit its mark, Nightmare Moon left in a puff of purple smoke, flying away from the fight. The Kamehameha blasted straight through the ceiling and into space as the cyan pegasus tried to chase after her. "Come back here!" she panted. "Nighttime? Forever?" She turned her head to see Twilight carry an unconscious Spike out of the town hall as she frantically darted for the library. Meanwhile, inside the town hall, Goku was getting much praise for his actions. "You're amazing!" a unicorn exclaimed. "What you did was simply stunning." a grey earth mare added. "See!? I told you this guy was amazing! Did you see that thing he did with his hands!?" While Lyra's enthusiasm was a little funny to the saiyan, it unfortunately caused more problems. If there was one thing Goku didn't like, it was getting praise from everyone for his actions It was only a few minutes of compliments before Goku was getting overwhelmed. He just didn't like the attention and didn't wasn't to be thought of as superior to people or ponies. 'Gotta find a way out of this... Wait. It's Twilight!' Goku put to fingers to his head and teleported away, leaving everypony in the town hall stunned. "Hands are... So awesome!!!" "There are six Elements of Harmony, but only five are known: Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Honesty and Loyalty. The sixth is a complete mystery. It is said, the last known location of the five elements was in the ancient castle of the royal pony sisters. It is located in what is now--" Twilight turned her head to the sound of Goku teleporting into the room. He took a few seconds to the scan the library room before setting his eyes on the six ponies in front of him. The cyan pegasus from before quickly darted up to the saiyan's face. "And you! You're the one that fired all those crazy magic rays and used that Kaio-whatever attack! Who are you and what do you want!?" "Oh, he's Goku! He's obviously here to help with finding the elements and defeating Nightmare Moon!" Pinkie Pie butted in. "Actually, that's pretty spot on!" Goku laughed. The girl's mouths hung open in complete shock. everypony except Twilight looked toward the orange earth mare, expecting her input. "H-He's... T-Telling the truth..." she muttered. This shock only lasted a few seconds before Pinkie Pie hugged Goku's leg. "See?" She chuckled. "He's totally harmless! Come on! Once you get to know him, he's a really great guy!" With some reluctance, the others walk up to greet him. "Howdy. I'm Applejack, and this here's Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Twilight Sparkle." The girls explained the current situation and that they were heading off towards the dangerous Everfree Forest to recover the Elements of Harmony. "I see... So, let's go!" Goku was about to fly off when he felt multiple large Ki disturbances. The saiyan quickly ran over to the door with the ponies following suit. "Okay, change of plans! You and the others go to the Everfree Forest!" Goku activated his Kaioken. "I'll handle this." "Wait a minute-" Before Twilight could put in her input, Goku flew away, surrounded by his crimson aura. She turned to her friends and noticed that they were already heading toward the forest. "Hey! Wait up!" Goku landed at the center of the town next to the fountain and looked around at the ponies cowering in fear. 'Alright. No peo- er- ponies in danger. But where is that Ki signature. It's gotta be Nightmare Moon. No doubt about that.' "S-stay back!" Turning his head, the Saiyan eyed a small orange filly with a dark magenta mane. Her eyes filled with fear as Nightmare Moon rose up on her hind hooves. "I'm warning you! Don't come any closer, Or I'll... I'll..." The alicorn laughed at her flat threats. "Please. Thou would not dare to injury their new ruler!" "But I'd be glad to!" Nightmare Moon turned around just in time for Goku to roundhouse kick them up into the air. Then, he flew up in the air and punched her away. Next, he flew up over Nightmare Moon and down behind to double kick her further up into the air. Finally, Goku flew up into the air around his opponent and hook kicked her down into the ground. As the alicorn laid on the ground, the saiyan cupped his hands together before launching a Kaioken Kamehameha towards the ground, vaporizing her in seconds. As he descended to greet the filly staring in awe, Goku was tackled down by three more Nightmare Moon clones. He managed to catch himself and back flipped into a fighting stance. "So. You made clones, huh?" The first did not respond and instead blasted a magic beam towards the orange pegasus. Goku used his speed to quickly get in front of the blast and knock it away with a simple swipe of his hand. Goku extended his palm and fired a yellow Ki blast of his own. "Try everything you'd like," He then smashed his elbow into the second Nightmare Moon clone's chest. "Cloning, mimicry..." He jumped up and preformed several rapid kicks before one last one sent her flying into the third clone. "But you can't beat me!" The Nightmare Moon clones ascended to the skies, scowling at the lone warrior. "This is where it all ends!" they shouted in unison. Magic charged in their horns as they poured all they had into the blast. They would not let this strange creature overpower her. Meanwhile, Goku had summoned the Kaioken X4 to power up his Kamehameha. "Say, goodbye, you insignificant fool!" Before they could launch their last desperate blast, a grand piano dropped down from the sky and crushed the three clones. Once they hit the ground, they disappeared in a puff of smoke. Goku dropped his guard and stopped his Kaioken Kamehameha. "Sorry! My bad!" Goku and the young filly looked up to see a grey cross eyed pegasus looking down on the stunned duo. "I just don't know what went wrong." Beside the pegasus was a movers' truck; indicating that she was helping someone unload their items out of the truck. "Hey!" Goku called, grabbing the attention of the grey mare. "Thanks for the help! Really appreciate it- uh..." "Derpy Hooves!" She descended next to the saiyan. "Right. You just saved me and a lot of others!" He shook her hoof before turning around to face the orange filly staring in awe. "You okay, kid?" "No I'm not... I'm great! That was awesome! You took those three on like it was nothing! How did you do it?" "Whoa, whoa. Slow down. I'd love to stay and chat but I gotta head out real soon. Before I go, can I at least get your name?" Goku replied. "I'm Scootaloo!" "Son Goku, but you can just call me Goku!" Suddenly, a dark purple explosion of smoke emitted from the direction of the forest. "Um... I gotta go. See ya!" he gave a two finger solute before putting those two figures on his forehead. With some concentration, the saiyan vanished into thin air. Inside the Castle of the Two Sisters, Twilight and her new friends had found the Elements of Harmony and had attempted to harness their power. However, before she could, Nightmare Moon teleported her and the Elements into another part of the castle. The dark alicorn then stomped the ground, shattering the artifacts into tiny shards. Twilight was crushed. After everything she's been through, she failed Equestria. She failed the new friends she had made. And she had failed Celestia. However, Twilight realized that the spirits of the Elements are present, and she explained how her friends represented the Elements of honesty, kindness, laughter, generosity, and loyalty. The fragments of the orbs began to circle the friends. A final stone orb then magically appeared over Twilight, and she declared: "You see, Nightmare Moon, when those Elements are ignited by the... the spark, that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element: the element of... magic!" The shards of the orbs combined into a bright light on each respective pony's neck. Finally, a golden crown appeared on Twilight's head as a rainbow-colored double helix blasted out of the six ponies as it rocketed towards the tyrant. However, as high above the building, the full moon's light shimmered down on the alicorn. A dark purple aura shielded Nightmare Moon, completely nullifying the attack. When the light faded, the Mane 6 were now wearing necklaces with heir cutie marks on them; minus Twilight who had a crown. They gasped in horror as Nightmare Moon stood perfectly unharmed, now flying over the group. "What a futile attempt at imprisoning me once more, but alas, it was only an attempt. Now say goodb-" (Cue Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2 OST- Hand in Hand Fight) Goku materialized into thin air as he launched a small yellow Ki blast at the tyrant. The alicorn blocked it before striking the Saiyan back down to the ground. He back flipped before he landed in front of Mane 6 as Nightmare Moon descended to his level. "Oh boy! This is gonna be fun!" "You're insane!" Twilight exclaimed while the others, including Nightmare Moon, thought the same thing. Goku's feet left the ground as he quickly flew towards Nightmare Moon before giving her a punch away from the others. As she recovered, the alicorn quickly dodged the flurry of punches and kicks sent in by her opponent. He then Instant Transmissioned behind her before roundhouse kicking her in the back. He then activated his Kaioken X3 before tackling her down into the ground once more. She recovered as Goku ran around the room before jumping off one of the walls. Nightmare Moon used her wings to dash up to him and deliver a swift punch to the face. She then proceeded to circle around him to deliver a large flurry of blows to the dazed Goku before his final strike sends him into a wall , paralyzed. This also deactivated his Kaioken. (End Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2 OST- Hand in Hand Fight) Nightmare Moon laughed maliciously, knowing that her opponent wouldn't be going anywhere soon. "Wha... what? I... I can't move..." the saiyan struggled to open his eyes. "What did you do to me?!" "Ancient magic pressure points." Nightmare Moon retorted. "A technique that nopony can overcome by themselves. Only the one that inflicts the pain can reverse it. Since we are feeling in a good mood, I will create a deal with you. Become my loyal servant, and you shall continue walking among the living." "N-never! There is no way I'd ever join you!" Goku shouted. "Leave him alone!" Twilight threw her body at Nightmare Moon, trying to save Goku. However, the alicorn grabbed the unicorn with her magic and smashed her straight into a wall. Her friends ran over to help as the princess turned back to her first victim. "Now then..." Before she could blast Goku into oblivion, her eyes shrunk as she lashed out in pain. Her pupils grew and shrunk as Nightmare Moon struggled to keep herself under control. It was as if something was holding her back from preforming the dastardly deed. "No! You... will not... KILL HIM!" she shouted in a slightly distorted voice. While she was still distracted, Goku used telekinesis to levitate a small brown bag in front of him before pulling out a Senzu Bean. "Wait, what is that!?" Nightmare Moon asked, now back under control. As the warrior ate the bean whole, he floated away from the wall, now perfectly unharmed. "Ah... Senzu Bean! Want one?" he asked in a cheerful tone. This caught Twilight and the others off guard. This creature was offering his opponent a means of heal herself, even though he threatened to kill him just seconds ago. "Keep your filthy beans to yourself. It does not matter how many times you heal. You will never defeat me. I have achieved a power greater than the Kaioken! The blows you gave are only making me stronger! Now, I have strength that is not comprehensible to anyone, not even you!" Nightmare Moon then dawned a dark aura, shouting as the energy flowed through her body. The energy died down with the aura now almost completely transparent. (Cue Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Battle 22 Son Goku's Theme) As Goku tightened his wristbands, he smirked at the tyrant. "Don't get ahead of yourself, buddy. You're not the only one, with that kind of power!" Goku clenched his fists and screamed as a golden aura surrounded his body He let out one final shout as the transformation finished. His black hair now majestically lifted upwards with a golden glow. Along with this, his eyes changed from black to blue-green. He darted forward in the blink of an eye, stringing together a combo of rapid blows. He finally kicked the alicorn away before she recovered. "Alright, blondie! What's going on?!" Nightmare Moon was answered as Goku launched forward, intent on striking his opponent. She put her hooves up in defense, but Goku preformed Instant Transmission behind her, however he was facing away from her. Nightmare Moon turned around and launched a hoof at his chest, but Goku did the same, only faster. "I am Son Goku! And I..." The warrior uppercutted her before spiraling upward to where she would be in mere seconds. "Am a Super Saiyan!" He let his aura flare upwards before Sledgehammer Fisting her back into the ground. Goku cupped his hands, preparing his signature attack. "Ka-Me-Ha-Me-... -HA!!!" His blue Ki blast caused the alicorn to fly back up into the air to dodge the blast. 'Now's my chance!' Goku grabbed her and pushed her back into a wall. "Let me go, you monster!" Nightmare Moon shouted, trying to pry the saiyan's hands off of her. "No! You have to let go of my friend!" Nightmare Moon's pupils grew once more as she started struggling less. "I know you're in there somewhere, Luna! You have to fight it!" A distorted voice came from the pony. "Go! I... can not hold her... for much longer." Goku now had confirmation that Luna was still in there. "Hiya!" The saiyan drove his fist into the alicorn's abdomen, breaking her aura into pieces. "GIrls... Use the Elements... Now!!!" The Mane 6 then floated once more, surrounded by a white light. Another double rainbow helix blasted out of the group as Goku jumped out of the way with mere seconds to spare. "What?! Nooo! Nooo!" The rainbow transformed into a tornado, enveloping Nightmare Moon in seconds. The room was then flooded with light. (End Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Battle 22 Son Goku's Theme) As it died down, the girls were now sprawled on the floor, due to the Elements taking a lot out of them. When they got back up, the first thing they saw was Goku still in his Super Saiyan state. His aura died down into nothingness, as his expressions lightened into a smile. "Great job, girls. You did a good thing." he was bombarded with hugs from the others as Twilight and Applejack watched the scene unfold. Now that Rarity could see him clearly, she stared intently at the golden hair, saying that it was "The most gorgeous and bold fashion statement she had ever seen." As Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy continued their embrace with the saiyan, Rainbow Dash was fan-girling over the battle. Meanwhile, Applejack chuckled at the display. "Gee, Twilight! I thought you were just spoutin' a lot of hooey, but I reckon we really do represent the elements of friendship." "Indeed you do." The ponies and Goku turned their attention to the Sun rising over the horizon once more. A bright light shined down from the Sun as Celestia materialized from the beam of sunlight. As the ponies bowed, Twilight rushed up to her mentor as they embraced in a small nuzzle. "Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student. I knew you could do it." the Sun princess said. Twilight Sparkle looked up in confusion. "But... you told me it was all an old pony tale." Princess Celestia chuckled. "I told you that you needed to make some friends, nothing more. I saw the signs of Nightmare Moon's return and I knew it was you who had the magic inside to defeat her, but you could not unleash it until you let true friendship into your heart. Now if only another will as well. Princess Luna!" They all turned to where Nightmare Moon once was and in her place was another pony. As Princess Celestia confronted towards her, Luna gasped. "It has been a thousand years since I have seen you like this. Time to put our differences behind us. We were meant to rule together, little sister." "Sister?" Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash asked in a baffled tone. "Will you accept my friendship?" Princess Celestia asked. Princess Luna hesitated, but soon hugged her older sister. "I'm so sorry! I missed you so much, big sister!" "I've missed you, too. Princess Celestia shed tears of joy. Pinkie Pie blew her nose and sobbed uncontrollably before suddenly becoming happy. "Hey, you know what this calls for?" "A party!" Ponyville was now bustling with residents as Pinkie threw a party to celebrate the royal sisters' reunion. While Goku chowed down on bowls of noodles and cupcakes, his attention was soon put on Luna. She walked over to the Saiyan before sitting down next to him. "Son Goku, there is something I must ask of you." she said. "Yeah, go ahead." "When you were fighting me as Nightmare Moon, how did you know I still resided in said body." Goku put a hand to his chin before replying. "I wasn't really sure. I'm not one to kill my opponents. I like to show them mercy in case there is some good in them. You also hesitated when I was paralyzed. It was like something was holding you from killing me." Luna smiled. "It seems there is more to you than meets the eye, Son Goku." As ponies celebrated, Princess Celestia noticed that Twilight wasn't celebrating like the others. "Why so glum, my faithful student? Are you not happy that your quest is complete and you can return to your studies in Canterlot?" Twilight Sparkle nodded solemnly. "That's just it. Just when I learned how wonderful it is to have friends, I have to leave them." Twilight's new friends looked at her in sadness. Princess Celestia saw the disappointment in their eyes and thought of something. "Spike, take a note, please. I, Princess Celestia, hereby decree that the unicorn Twilight Sparkle shall take on a new mission for Equestria. She must continue to study the magic of friendship. She must report to me her findings from her new home in Ponyville." Twilight now beamed with happiness. "Oh thank you, Princess Celestia! I'll study harder than ever before." As the ponies cheered, Celestia walked over to Goku, who was with Luna. "I thank you, Son Goku. Without your help, I could have never been reunited with my sister. Are you ready to return to your world?" "Hmm... I'll pass on that for now. I just got here yesterday and I wanna go off on new adventures!" Celestia nodded. "If that is what you wish. I shall not stop you but I do have one more request, Son Goku." "Sure, and by the way, just Goku will be fine." "Goku, I would like you to stay in Ponyville with Twilight to make sure she doesn't get into too much trouble." The Sun princess winked at the saiyan as he gave a thumbs up. With that, the party continued; everypony partying like there was no tomorrow. What new adventures will Goku and the others encounter? That will have to be a story for another time. > The Ticket Master! Goku the Mentor!? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight Sparkle and Applejack were at Sweet Apple Acres, carrying baskets full of ripe apples on their backs. Spike sat on Twilight's back, throwing out the bad apples in the bunch. "Thank you kindly, Twilight, for helping me out. I bet Big McIntosh I could get all these Golden Delicious in the barn by lunchtime. If I win, he's gonna walk down Stirrup Street in one of Granny's girdles." Applejack chuckled, knowing that with her friends hep, she would win the bet for sure. Twilight nodded "No problem at all, Applejack. I'm glad the goal is lunchtime. All this hard work is making me hungry." "I know, right?" Spike sighed, accidentally throwing a rotten apple on Twilight's head. "Ooh-wee, Spike. You've been lounging on my back all morning while we worked." Twilight retorted. "Exactly. You two are taking so long, I missed snack-time." the baby dragon complained once more. Just then, Twilight Sparkle's stomach grumbled. "Eh, I guess we better get some food." "Nope. Worm. A-ha!" Spike pulled out the biggest, shiniest, ripest apple out of the bunch and held it out towards Twilight. She took notice at the kind gesture and smiled. "Oh Spike, that looks delicious." Before she could take a bite, Spike shoved the food in his mouth, leaving Twilight still hungry. "Spike." the unicorn scolded. Her assistant put on a nervous smile before burping out a green fire. The flames quickly became a rolled up letter. "It's a letter from Princess Celestia." said Twilight. Spike cleared his throat. and unrolled the letter. "Hear ye, hear ye. Her Grand Royal Highness, Princess Celestia of Equestria, is pleased to announce the Grand Galloping Gala to be held in the magnificent capital city of Canterlot, on the 21st day of, eh, yadda yadda yadda, cordially extends an invitation to Twilight Sparkle plus one guest." Applejack and Twilight Sparkle gasped in amazement. "The Grand Galloping Gala!" Ever since Nightmare Moon transformed back into Princess Luna, Goku now lived in a capsule house similar to the one he trained in, thanks to a little help from Celestia and Luna. It even had gravity settings for training! Inside, the saiyan was currently doing some basic push ups, crunches, and punches. He wanted to make sure he was nice and loose before starting. He didn't want to pull a muscle during training. "695, 696, 697, 698, 699, 700!" Goku sprung up from his push ups and cracked his knuckles. "Alright. Let's go!" He was about to become a Super Saiyan when he heard a knock on his door. He opened it to find Scootaloo giving the saiyan a toothy smile. "Hey, Scootaloo! What's going on?" "I was wondering, you know- if it's completely 100% okay with you- that I could possibly, maybe, train me to do those totally awesome fighting moves?" "Sure!" The young filly "Oh, please, I won't get in your wa- wait, you said yes?" Goku nodded. "Yeah. I don't see why not. Alright. I'll train you!" Scootaloo beamed as she trotted inside the spaceship before sitting down in the center of the room. "Alright, first, I need to see where you're at. Now, put you're hooves in front of you." Scootaloo did as directed while Goku watched. "Now focus, but at the same time, relax. That's gonna sound a bit redundant, but trust me." Goku continued. The young filly's front hooves twitched as she struggled to find balance. Sweat trickled down the side of her face as her small muscles struggled with the stress. The saiyan walked up and knelt next to her. "Hey. Don't go stressing yourself out with this. Not everyone can get it on their first-" Scootaloo suddenly stopped struggling before taking a deep breath. She then resumed her concentration. The air space between Scootaloo's hooves started radiating a golden glow as a small orb of light started forming. Goku was stunned. He didn't think anyone could catch on to Ki control this fast. Scootaloo was filled to the brim with raw potential, and he was going to help bring it out. "Wow! I you're a natural at this!" "Alright!" Scootaloo cheered, keeping her concentration in perfect sync with her state of relaxation. She jumped up on her back hooves and started chanting what she heard Goku say a week before. "Ka-Me-Ha-Me-HA!!!" Instead of blasting out a powerful Ki wave, it simply took the form of a weak orb and dropped to the ground, making a sad popping sound. "Darn it!" she fumed, dropping back down to four hooves. Deep down, she knew that she couldn't yet preform the big stuff yet, but it was worth a shot. Her attention suddenly shifted to the claps of Goku. "That was awesome, Scootaloo! You're a really fast learner. At this rate, you'll be doing some amazing stuff things in no time!" "Really!?" "Of course! You've got potential! I've never seen anyone get Ki control right on the money before on their first try." Goku continued. "But you're power wavers once you draw out your Ki. You become too confidant and stop focusing once you see the Ki." "Oh. Really?" Scootaloo sighed. "But hey. Since you managed to get this far already, I'll go ahead and show you what I can do under proper Ki control." the saiyan told the young filly. He then took a few steps back and clenched his fists before a low growl escaped his voice. He knew that the way he was going to transform was wasteful of Ki, but he wanted to get the point across of what training can accomplish. Goku's voice started growing louder and louder until he was screaming at the top of his lungs. His veins and muscles bulged out slightly as smoke radiated from his body. "Goku! What's going on?!" Scootaloo was now terrified by the events currently unfolding. One minute Goku was perfectly fine, and now he looked and sounded as though he was being strangled. The saiyan's palm tree hair started to rise up as if the very winds of Equestria were circling around him. Finally, his eyes flashed a brilliant cyan color as Goku bellowed out once more. His hair now shined with a golden glow as a transparent aura of the same color burst forth, bathing the entire room in light. It took a few seconds for the light to die down as Goku now remained in his Super Saiyan form. Although now his features lightened up. There was no sign of the stress that was seen before. "So, what do you think?" He asked. Goku noticed Scootaloo's expression. She looked as though she had witnessed a volcano erupt within five feat of her, and in a way, she did. "Oops. Did I over do it? I didn't mean to scare you. I just wanted to make it a little bit dramatic for you." He put his right thumb and index finger out and squeezed them together, leaving a little bit of air space to emphasize his point. Before a response could be heard, Twilight and Spike burst through the door; sweat dripping down the sides of their faces. "Goku! Thank goodness for your shouting. You scared those ponies away in no time." Spike started. Scootaloo and Goku looked outside to find no one in sight. "Um, mind running this by us again?" "Um, you see..." Twilight sighed. "We got two tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala and now everyone wants my extra ticket! They won't leave me alone and even my friends have lost it!" Goku closed his eyes and put a hand to his chin. "Well that's a shame. Hmm... Maybe we can get you two a disguise?" Scootaloo turned to Goku and asked, "Hey, can't you just do the thing where you vanish and get these two home without anypony seeing?" Something in the saiyan's mind clicked. "You're right, Scootaloo! I'll just use Instant Transmission and get us back to the library. But I have to lock onto someone's Ki signature to do it, and we need to do this discretely." Twilight then thought of something. "This might be risky, but I have a spell that might just work." She lit her horn, emitting a bright magenta glow. "I need you all to hold on to me." They did as told, putting a claw and hand on her side respectively. "Hey, Scootaloo! You coming?" Goku asked. The young filly shook her head. "No thanks. I gotta head home. I'll see later!" Scootaloo left the capsule house as Twilight teleported everyone else back into her house. However, what they did not expect were for all of Twilight's friends to be waiting for her at Twilight's bed. Intermediately, Twilight broke down in front of her friends. "Yaaaargh! I can't decide, I just can't decide. It's important to all of you and I just can't stand to disappoint any of you, and giving me gifts and doing me favors won't make any difference, because you're all my friends and I wanna make you all happy and I can't, I just can't!" As Twilight continued her freakout, Applejack trotted up to her and spoke. "Twilight, sugar, I didn't mean to put so much pressure on you, and if it helps, I don't want the ticket anymore. You can give it to somepony else. I won't feel bad, I promise." And just like that, the others followed with a similar response. "Me too. I feel just awful that I made you feel so awful." "And me too. It's no fun upsetting your friends." "Twilight, it was unfair of me to try to force you as I did." "Yes! That means the ticket is mine. Ha ha," All except for Rainbow Dash. She burst out into a celebratory song and dance. "I got the ticket, I got the ticket--" She stopped, looking at her friend's annoyed expressions and nervously scratched the back of her head. "You know, I haven't perfected my signature moves for the Wonderbolts anyway. I don't need that ticket either." Applejack put a hoof on Twilight's shoulder. "We all got so gun-ho about going to the gala that we couldn't see how un-gun-ho we were making you." "We're sorry, Twilight." Twilight and Goku knew that this would suffice as a good enough apology. "Spike, take down a note. Dear Princess Celestia, I've learned that one of the joys of friendship is sharing your blessings, but when there's not enough blessings to go around, having more than your friends can make you feel pretty awful. So, though I appreciate the invitation, I will be returning both tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala." Applejack and the others looked at Twilight in utter shock. "What?!" "If my friends can't all go, I don't wanna go either." "Well said, Twilight." Goku chimed. "What's the point if you can't be by the peop-er- ponies you care about?" "Twilight, you don't have to do that." Applejack stated. Twilight Sparkle shook her head. "Nope. I've made up my mind. Spike, you can send the letter now." The young drake took in a deep breath before blowing green fire at the letter, sending it to Canterlot. "Now you won't get to go to the gala either." Fluttershy said. "It's okay, girls. I couldn't possibly enjoy myself without my best friends there with me, so I would rather not go at all." Twilight and her pony friends embraced in a group hug while Goku watched Spike start gagging. "Hgh... hgh... urk... urk..." Applejack shook her head in disapproval. "Well wallop my withers, Spike. Isn't that just like a boy? Can't handle the least bit of sentiment. You don't see Goku over there doing this." Spike finaly spit out a letter from Celestia and grabbed it before it hit the ground. Twilight tilted her head. "A letter from the princess? That was fast." Spike cleared his throat. "My faithful student Twilight, Why didn't you just say so in the first place? Seven tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala." The ponies gasped in surprise as the golden tickets popped out of the letter. "Now we can all go." As the ponies in the room cheered, Twilight's stomach growled. Rarity noticed and smiled. "Allow us to treat you to dinner." "What a great way to apologize." Rainbow gained approval from the others. "And to celebrate. Come on everyone, the cupcakes are on me." Pinkie Pie chimed. "Oh, come on! How come I don't get a ticket to the gala? Even Goku got one. Hurk!" Spike then burped out one last letter."And one for you, Spike." He grabbed the ticket out of the letter and started laughing light a little school girl. He stopped, seeing the smug look on Applejack's face. "Um, you okay, Spike? I think you've lost it a little." Goku stated. "I mean, gross, I have to go too?" Spike then continued giggling and ran off to catch up with he others. Applejack and Goku merely chuckled at the display.
