> Heroines of Overwatch > by ThePegaKris > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Canterlot Mall, Canterlot City > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- She-Demon. The Dazzlings. Midnight Sparkle. Gaia Everfree. Those are all behind me and I'm glad that my friends and I have all conquered them standing side by side. Without them, my life would be incomplete. Every day at Canterlot High, I hear my name being said by all the students around and I really get that they all love me. "Sunset Shimmer, Sunset Shimmer, Sunset Shimmer!" Then, I heard Applejack actually calling me. "You coming, Sunset?" "Yeah, hold on!" As I'm on my way to the mall with my friends, I couldn't help but notice how cheerful they all are looking. Going back to what I was saying, I feel like I'm back where I started. I was popular only because of how I manipulated pretty much everyone and I'm popular now because of the real friendships I've made over the years. I'm obviously not perfect, I just let things play when they come to me and I deal with them. Simple as that. "So how was your day, girls?" Fluttershy asked. "Awesome as usual! My team wrecked another team in soccer today!" Rainbow Dash said. "Is that why I heard ya scream outside all the way from shop class?" Applejack asked. "Eeyup!" "I was about to go deaf, Rainbow Dash! I literally had to cover my ears with my diamond encrusted headphones!" Rarity added. What happened to Rarity was actually true. Twilight, Applejack, and I witnessed her complaining today about Rainbow's screaming when we were all split into either gym or shop class. "Did anybody here me screaming?" Pinkie Pie asked. "For once, you didn't." I giggled. "Did your ears hurt too, Fluttershy?" "No, I covered them just like the rest of our soccer team. I'm good, though!" "We're here, y'all!" Applejack said. This place hasn't changed a bit. On a Friday like this, it's pretty normal to hang out, or chillax as Rainbow Dash would like to call it, here. All I have in my backpack is my book, which I write my messages to Princess Twilight in. Rarity looks like she has her whole makeup department in her bag and she's not even straining from the weight of it. "Anyone want to check out the bookstore with me?" Twilight asked. "I'm coming with you." I replied. "Me three, just so I can find a book on how to deal with eggheads like you, Twilight!" Rainbow giggled. "Knock it off with that nonsense, will ya?" as A.J. smacked her in the back of her head. "Sorry." "Uhh, ladies? You may want to check this out!" as Rarity pointed to the bookstore. CLOSED DUE TO MAINTENANCE WE DEEPLY APOLOGIZE TO ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS WE WILL REOPEN IN 1 WEEK "Aww, that sucks. I'm really sorry Twilight!" "It's fine, Sunset. Besides, the new Daring Do book doesn't come out until exactly one week from now." "Can you get me a copy too, Twilight?" Rainbow begged as she got on her knees. "Why can't you just come with me next week?" "I think it's unusual for top athletes like me to walk inside a bookstore and leave just with an entire bookshelf." "Oh silly, you do that all that time!" Pinkie passed off. "Shh!" "Well, what do y'all want to do now?" A.J. asked. "I'm very hungry, actually." as Fluttershy felt her stomach growling. "Uh-huh." as the rest of us felt our stomachs too. "Follow me. Let's take the escalator." On our way up, my friends and I just kept looking around at the other shops. So far, the bookstore was the only one that was undergoing maintenance at the moment, but I think that there are other places here that should undergo it, too. Up on the ceiling vents, I think I see some kind of figure running very fast with a glowing blue aura. "Did you guys see that?" "See what?" Twilight approached me. "There was something...or someone up on the vents, but I don't think it's very clear." "Neither of us saw a darn thing, Sunset." A.J. said. "I guess I didn't either, but it speeded off, almost as fast as Rainbow Dash." "What? Nothing else can beat me in terms of speed, so you're definitely going crazy!" "Look, I didn't mean to make a comparison! I was just minding my business when all of a sudden, I looked up and happen to notice something that looked blue." "Sorry again, but did it really go as fast as I could?" "Yeah, in fact, it traveled so quickly, you could barely get a glimpse at it!" "It's not like this blue thing is going to come back, so let's just eat." I felt Twilight's hand touching my shoulder. "You can track it later, Sunset." "Fine." The food court was right there in front of us already. My friends and I went to go sit by the grand view of Canterlot City, which makes this one of the very few times that we get the best seats in the mall. An eighth seat at our table remained empty because Twilight mentioned earlier at school that Spike needed some serious rest for his sickness. "Donut Joe looks like he's got his hands full right now. I guess we'll buy from him after we actually eat." "Y'all want pizza?" A.J. asked. "Please don't put extra cheese, because I get stomach problems if I eat very cheesy foods!" "Aww, does that mean no ice cream too, Twilight?" "That doesn't count, Pinkie. You can go ahead and get the pizza, Applejack." "Alright, I'll be back!" "Thanks A.J.!" The rest of us replied. "Winston, this is Tracer, come in!" "Go ahead." "I think I found who we're looking for..." > Busan, South Korea > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After eating, we all decided to go home and enjoy the weekend tomorrow. Still though, I can't take my mind off of what I saw earlier. In my opinion, there's no way Rainbow Dash can be beaten in a race by...whatever that thing was! Maybe she could've caught up with it, but she didn't see it to begin with. "Sunset!" "Oh, hey Twilight! What's up?" "I forgot to give you back your book. Here." "Thank you so much! Uhh, why did I let you borrow it again?" "I've been talking to the other Twilight, or me technically." She fixed her glasses. "She seems really busy all the time." "Well, that's what happens when you become a princess of a magical world like Equestria! You get what's coming to you and you must deal with what it is." "Are you a princess too, Sunset?" "Hehe, that's funny! Just because I grew wings twice from both a horrible and beautiful incident doesn't mean I'm now an Alicorn princess like your other self." Now that I'm mentioning this, I'm wondering how Princess Twilight earned her wings. I already know that she pretty much mastered friendship, but there has to be more than that. If Princess Celestia gave wings to her only because she's her prized pupil, then that kind of raises unfairness. I'm not jealous of her, but I am beginning to question destiny itself. "I guess I better start running home, Sunset! It's getting really dark out and I don't want my brother to freak out over me." "I thought Shining Armor trusts you all the time." "He does, but since Cadance is coming over to my house for dinner with my family, he wants it to be perfect." "Hmm, makes sense. Well, I'm going home too." I then went to give Twilight a hug. "Take care, Sunset!" as she let go of me and went in the opposite direction. As soon as Twilight returned my book, I tucked it back in my backpack and went off to go home. It wasn't too cold out, but the temperatures were starting to drop below 50 degrees. It's a good thing my trusty leather jacket always keeps me warm, even in the most freezing places! I really need to sleep and hopefully it'll take my mind off of that...thing. "Psst!" "Huh? Who's there?" I was starting to get sidetracked, which does happen to me a lot, but not like this. This voice was very distinct and sounded like an accent was included. "Yoo-hoo!" "Okay, don't make me pony-up and kick your butt! I will do it!" Upon checking my surroundings, I was actually near Canterlot High. The mall was only a couple of blocks away, but I thought it would be quicker for my friends and I to get there. Anyways, the voice sounded like it was near the school. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a random trespasser, though. "Over here!" "Hey, don't g-go in...there!" I couldn't believe this, but my eyes weren't deceiving me. That blue thing from the mall actually turned out to be a girl and she was wearing some weird pulsating core on her chest and orange pants while sporting a bit of a spiky hairstyle. Not only that, but she literally just went through the portal to Equestria. "Damn, what do I do? Should I follow her or call my friends? C'mon think, Sunset!" Time was running out. I'm worried that Princess Twilight might be in danger and Equestria could be harmed by that girl. I guess I'm going to have to go through the portal. Help me Celestia! I thought to myself. "Here goes nothing! Hmnpf!" as I jumped in. After many years away, it was finally time to visit Equestria once more, except this time, I'm on a wild goose chase. Who knows what Princess Twilight's friends will think about me? If she thinks of me as a friend, then it's probably the same deal with them. It would also suck if Princess Celestia put a bounty on my head and everyone...or everypony will start hunting me down. But thanks to Rainbow Dash's training however, I'm now a fast runner. But, when I got out of the portal, I looked around me and saw that this place was definitely NOT Equestria. "Where am I?" I guess I must've ended up in a far away region of Equestria. Wait, that doesn't make sense to me, whatsoever. The magic mirror was supposed to take me to Princess Twilight's castle, according to her, but I don't see her castle anywhere. "Oh no! Is this the time travel loop that Princess Twilight got caught in? TWILIGHT!" If I did go back in time, or perhaps into the future, then I am pretty much screwed. The magic mirror never changed time for me, just the dimensions I go to. I need to see if Princess Twilight is still safe from all this...destruction. "Twilight! TWILIGHT!" There was no more use trying to shout her name anymore. I think she's...dead. What have I done? No, it can't be. I gotta get back to the portal and tell my friends about what I just saw. Suddenly, I heard something dash behind me. Zzoom. "Cheers love, the cavalry's here!" "AHH!" "No no, don't worry, Sunset Shimmer! Everything's fine!" "How do you know my name? Wait, you're that girl from the mall, aren't you?" "Yes, I am that girl, love! My name is Lena Oxton, but everyone at Overwatch refers to me as 'Tracer.' "Overwatch? What the heck is going on here?" "Death walks among you!" said a deep masculine voice. A black, shadowy figure popped up from the ground and was carrying two shotguns in his hands. What the actual...? Is this guy actually Death? "I'll explain everything later, but you have to keep up with me if you want to live!" Tracer said. "Okay, let's go!" I started to run and follow Tracer to what looks like a tall skyscraper. The way she was running, however, seemed strange. She was teleporting all over the place as we were trying to avoid the shadowy figure's bullets. Incredible, I'll admit, but this was no time for sightseeing. We really needed to run. "Can you, uhh, slow down Tracer? I'm...starting to get...tired." "Sure thing, Sunset, but you may want to duck your head!" "Why?" "EAT THIS!" Did she just chuck a bomb at the shadowy figure? Either way, he finally disappeared as the explosion injured him a bit. "Oh, that was intense! Thank you for saving us, Tracer!" "You're very welcome, dear! C'mon, let's go introduce you to the others." "Okay." We seemed to have stopped and entered the tall skyscraper. At the front, a sign was written in English and some weird foreign language. HQ를 초과 시청 (Overwatch HQ) Inside, it looked like some kind of futuristic hotel. Holy crap, is this really the future? Tracer then led me to an elevator and hit a button that would take us upstairs. I'm surprised this building is one of the very few ones left in this abandoned wasteland. "Sombra, Windowmaker, this is Reaper, report!" "We read you loud and clear, sir!" "Tracer got away with the new girl. We need to head back to the base and recollect ourselves." "You didn't try to storm in there, did you?" Sombra asked. "No, remember? The heroes will gun us down immediately if we tried to raid their sanctuary. Besides, my Death Blossom isn't ready yet!" "Come back to the base, Monsieur. We'll get them someday..." Widowmaker said. "Copy that." Since this elevator is made of glass, I can see this entire city from up here. It doesn't look like much is left after whatever chaos came down upon it. "Who was that guy?" "His name is Reaper." Tracer replied. "Before that, he used to be a part of our team, Overwatch, and was named Gabriel 'Blackwatch' Reyes." "Why did he leave your team?" "There was a big argument between our current commander and Reyes back in the day. Since Commander Morrison, our leader, got his special ranking instead, Reyes grew jealous of him and took off. At one point, they went face to face and tried to kill each other, but the two got caught in a massive explosion, presumably killing them." "Did your commander live?" "Yes, both him and Reaper, actually." Tracer said. "Ooh, we're here!" The elevator came to a stop on the top floor and Tracer and I got out. I was immediately surrounded by a bunch of rooms and giant monitors. "Winston, what's up, big guy?" Tracer asked. I was confused at who she was referring to, until I found a big gorilla wearing body armor in front of me. "Nice to see that you're still safe, Tracer, and I see that you've found who we're looking for!" "H-hi, I'm Sunset Shimmer. N-nice to meet you, too?" "Hehe, don't be afraid of me!" Winston chuckled. "It's all good!" "Okay, but how do you both know who I am? Where am I?" A giant monitor in the middle of the room came on. "You're in South Korea, ma'am." "Ah, you have finally gotten out of Rest Mode, Athena!" Winston said. "I needed to do that." "South Korea? I've never heard of it in my entire life." "Tracer, do you mind filling our guest in on the real world?" Athena asked. "Gladly! Sunset Shimmer, the reason that we, the heroes of Overwatch, know you is because we've been watching over you. You seem to be very strong and intelligent for a girl like you. How we've established connection with your world is very simple. A friend of ours named Symmetra is very good with teleportation and we thought we might help her get better at it using a chrono accelerator in order to travel to different worlds and recruit more heroes for Overwatch!" "How long have you been watching over me?" "Before and after you turned evil, actually." as Winston fixed his glasses. "Really? But why did the portal bring me here instead of Equestria? I was afraid you both would do something horrible to it!" "They're called heroes for a reason, Sunset Shimmer." Athena said. "Symmetra built the portal here in Busan because first of all, this was the next safe place that we could establish a base at, and secondly, her teleportation has improved so much, she can even bring people from distant worlds like yours." "I'm still a human right now, am I?" "Yes, but we're not sure if you can transform, or pony-up in the real world, as you would call it." Tracer said. "Oh. Is this the same timeline or am I in the future?" "You are still in the present day, Sunset." Athena said. "South Korea, though, is a country that has really developed and advanced in society and technology, but it doesn't look like there's not much of it left after the Omnic Crisis." "I'm guessing that must've been a horrible event, huh?" "Indeed." Winston said. "In fact, it's why we started up Overwatch. We wanted to save the world from evil and now, we're up against Reaper's organization, Talon." "Hmm, I see. Will I be able to go back to my world?" "Yes love!" Tracer exclaimed. "All we have to do is send you back through the portal and we can even change the destination to Equestria if you want." "So what am I really here for? I'm sorry if I'm being kind of aggressive, but I'm just so confused!" "Do you want to join Overwatch and help us take down Talon?" Winston asked. "Ooh, I don't know. What about my best friends?" "They can join us as well if you can try to convince them." Tracer said. "I need to think about it." "Take all the time you need, Sunset." Winston said. "We hope you can help us save our world, though. Here, take this cellular device and use it to communicate with us from your world." "I already have a cellphone." "Your technology doesn't work in the real world." Athena said. "Before we sent Tracer into your world, she was able to get in touch with us using this special device." "Okay. Ah, I'm getting kind of tired, I really need to go to bed. But, I will take your phone for safekeeping." "I'll guide you back to the portal!" Tracer raised her hand. "Thanks Tracer!" "Rest up and report your decision to us when you've made it." Athena advised. "Don't worry, I will." > Fashion District, Manehattan > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Going to street level." The elevator said. It was still nighttime and I needed to get some sleep. Tracer was standing next to me, looking hyper and cheerful, which was nice. I just hope she doesn't get on Pinkie Pie's level of insanity! "How come the technology from my world doesn't work in yours, Tracer, but yours does?" "Your world is still an alternate dimension and in order for us to contact you, you need our technology. Winston and I have worked really hard on this device we just gave you, so be careful not to lose it." "Oh. So do you have others for my friends?" "Yes love! We always come prepared to the fight! However, I can't provide them the cellular devices unless you convince your friends to come and help us." "You are now on Floor 5." The elevator said. "I swear that I didn't press any buttons, Tracer." "Oh, don't worry about that, Sunset. I forgot to introduce you to another part of the team, so let's get off here." "Okay." I think I see a connection between the two of us. In this world, Overwatch is meant to save the world, and back home, the girls and I are meant to save the world. I actually think I'm ready to accept this team's offer to go and defeat this Talon organization. From the looks of it, Reaper is probably the leader of it, so that makes him public enemy number one. When Tracer and I got on this floor, we came across a big room that was somehow covered with arcade machines, gaming consoles, desks, movie posters, and film awards shelved everywhere. Whoever lives on this floor must be very rich. All I heard was the sounds of a girl having fun at a central computer. "Nerf this, haha!" "Hello there, D.Va!" Tracer greeted. "D.Va?" As soon as she paused her video game, she got up from her chair and was carrying a bag of chips in one hand and green soda in the other. She was wearing a multi-colored outfit with patches on both of her legs that said 'M.E.K.A.' Her face paint was pink, too, and she had pointy earphones on. "Hi Tracer! Who's the new chick?" "Hi, I'm Sunset Shimmer! Nice to meet you! D.Va is what I heard to be your name, right?" "Bingo!" She replied. "Her real name is Hana Song, and she's actually born right here in South Korea!" Tracer said. "Sadly, her hometown here was destroyed by the Omnic Crisis many years ago. Her family died as well, except for her mother, who went missing over the years." "I'm so sorry to hear that, Hana." What was even more sad to see was that she started to shed a tear and looking aimlessly out the window down below. Aww man, now I feel like crying myself! She kept staring outside and started to drink away. "I'm okay... I really do need some company right now, though." "There there." I went to approach Hana and gave her a hug, which she returned as well. "Thank you, Sunset! You may call me D.Va if you want to, by the way." "Sure thing, D.Va! So, umm, how did you become a part of Overwatch?" "Story time! This may seem crazy to you, but I happen to be the number one gamer in the entire universe! I was recruited by the Korean army because they saw how fast and well I play games, so I enrolled and eventually joined Overwatch. I'm also a movie star!" "How did you even get fans during the Omnic Crisis?" "I've been live streaming all my operations to my fans and they really love me!" I'm still tired, but I do feel honored to be talking to a celebrity who's also a fighter and gamer. She looks very young, though, almost like me. The only person I know who loves gaming...secretly and is somewhat famous is Rarity. "That sounds cool! By the way, how old are you, D.Va?" "19." "Wow, you're like two years older than me! What do you use to fight?" "D.Va uses a big mech, which can tear down through enemies and absorb a lot of damage, just like a tank." Tracer said. "If all else fails, her mech can self-destruct and kill enemies within its big explosion. She can call another mech down, too!" "A big mech, huh? Sorry if I'm interrupting, but I'm just very sleepy today. I really need to go to bed!" "I understand, Sunset." as Tracer put a hand on my shoulder. "You will be joining us, right?" "I really don't know yet. I just need to think about everything that just happened. The situation that you guys are in right now sounds serious, but I just mysteriously got here." "Would you like to crash in here before you leave?" D.Va asked. "Oh really? But, I don't want to invade your privacy, home, or operations!" "No no, it's perfectly fine with me! You can sleep on my bed for tonight while I sleep on the couch. I need to rest up anyways." "Are you sure, D.Va?" "Uh-huh!" I went to hug her again, tightly enough this time. "Thank you so much!" "Well, I'm glad that's over with!" Tracer added. "I'm going to sleep as well and remember that I'll be guiding you back to the portal, Sunset." "Thank you, Tracer." "Good night you two!" as she got back on the elevator. "Good night!" D.Va and I waved. Now that I can get some sleep, I'll be able to think about this decision. So far, these guys of Overwatch seem really nice to me. Tracer and I have only encountered Reaper, but I have yet to see the other members of Talon. If they're responsible for this Omnic Crisis, then they'll definitely pay for it. I want to help Overwatch, but I feel like my friends don't want to fight evil forces anymore. Have any of them ever held a gun before? "Have a good night, you two! I hope you enjoy your silk scarfs! Miss Pommel, what time is it?" "Closing time, Miss Rarity!" "Excellent! You did very well tonight with the sales, so here's a little bonus for your paycheck!" "Thank you! Have a good night, Miss Rarity!" as Coco left. "Ladies, you can come down now! 'Rarity For You' just closed!" "Any luck calling Twilight or Sunset?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Unfortunately not, darling." Rarity replied. "Twilight has things to do with Shining Armor and Sunset hasn't received any of my phone calls." "Sunset hasn't received any of our calls lately." Fluttershy said. "Ya think something is wrong with her?" A.J. asked. "It would be no fun if she is sad right now!" Pinkie frowned. "This sleepover will still continue." as Rarity closed the front door. "Sunset usually doesn't hide things from us like this." "What makes you think she's hiding something from us?" Fluttershy asked. "Girls, if she's going through a lot right now, then leave her alone." Rainbow said. "We can't force her to speak unless she wants to." "When did you get so smart all of a sudden?" Pinkie brought up. "Alright, enough already!" A.J. halted. "Let's just go to bed and hopefully Sunset will call us tomorrow." "Oh my... When will this ever stop?" "What, Fluttershy?" Rarity asked. "Even I'm getting annoyed by how many times we've mentioned Sunset tonight! I'm sorry if I'm being too blunt, but it's happening! I'm going home!" "You hate Sunset now?" Rainbow raised an eyebrow. "No, but she's strong enough to take care of herself and so am I! If she needs us, then she needs us!" Fluttershy started to walk to the door. "You think you're strong enough by yourself?" Rainbow crossed her arms. "You're too afraid of the dark to even walk!" "Shut. Up." as Fluttershy left. "Way to go, Rainbow Dash!" A.J. said. "You just had to open your big mouth!" "Fluttershy started this, not me! C'mon, let's get her back in here!" "No use, Miss Dash." Rarity hummed. "Once Fluttershy reaches her breaking point, she gets frustrated and aggressive. Let's just sleep and then we'll find her and Sunset tomorrow, okay?" "Aww man!" > Sparkle Residence, Canterlot City > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next day, I had woken up from a satisfying sleep and rubbed my eyes. I still found D.Va asleep on the couch, which to be honest, I feel really bad about letting her sleep there instead of me. At the same time, it wouldn't be nice if I turned down her offer, either. Nonetheless, I don't feel tired anymore. When I got up from the bed, I looked outside through the badly damaged city of Busan and it was still in poor shape. D.Va must've had a tough time trying to cope with the loss of her hometown. I have only known her for like a couple of hours in this world and yet she seems to already have a significant importance in my life. "Good morning Sunset!" as Tracer came out of the elevator. She was still in her crazy outfit. "Did you sleep well last night?" "Yes, and I really appreciate D.Va for letting me sleep here last night! You and Winston as well!" "No problem! So, before you leave, do you want to have some breakfast with us first?" "Really? What do you have?" "We have pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Sounds good enough for you?" "I'll just have pancakes. I actually can't eat meat because...I am still a pony, technically." "Ah, a fear of cannibalism." "What?" "Eh, I mean, nothing dear! C'mon, Winston's waiting for us downstairs." "Should I wake up D.Va first, Tracer?" "Hehe, the only breakfast she ever has is her so called Mountain Dew and Doritos! Somehow, she never gains or loses weight. You can leave her be for now, Sunset." "Okay." I can still at least go on without showering until later. Back at Canterlot High yesterday, I showered before school and I still smell pretty fresh. If I ask any of these guys to use their shower, then that's probably too much to ask. I then got on the elevator with Tracer, who still is in a cheerful mood. It's a nice yet depressing view all the way up from this glass elevator. "Going to Floor 2." The elevator said. "What happened to all the civilians?" "They have evacuated after the Omnic Crisis, thankfully. However, there are some parts of the world that are either with or against us, the heroes of Overwatch." Tracer explained. "Did this city like you, Tracer?" "Yes, but most importantly, they were looking up to D.Va. It's no surprise, really, since she was born here." "How many more heroes of Overwatch are there?" I asked. "A lot more. Over the years, Talon has always been a pain in our arses." "That doesn't make sense. If you guys have strength in numbers, why can't you stop Talon?" "They really are that strong. Reaper is obviously leading the charge and his accomplices are helping him to take over the latest mech technology in the world." I couldn't believe what I was hearing from Tracer. Is this world really advanced and futuristic? If it is, it's definitely better than Equestria or my new home world. But who knew that technology could be so evil in the future? "How exactly do you plan on dealing with Talon?" "Patience, love. They might be planning their next move right now, so we have to do the same as well." "Do they know about me?" "Unfortunately, yes. One of Reaper's best sidekicks, Sombra, was able to hack into an old database back at an old Overwatch headquarters and discovered our activities involving us watching over you and your friends." "Huh, that's not good. I think I may be able to help Overwatch, but like I said, I don't know about my friends." "If they can't make it, that's perfectly fine, love. After all, you are the strongest girl that Winston and I have come across." "I guess." The elevator had finally stopped on the second floor. This room apparently looked like a big, fancy dining room with a chandelier on the ceiling. "Ooh, the food's already on the table!" Tracer exclaimed. "Let's sit down, Sunset!" "I'm coming!" Plates of pancakes, eggs, and bacon were spread on the table. Tracer and I had ours set on the table, and there were two more plates as well. I'm assuming that one of them will be for Winston. I put aside the eggs and bacon, which I won't be eating. "Mmm, this is so good!" "The best pancakes out there, dear!" Tracer said. "These were made by our head chef, who's also a hero of Overwatch. Isn't that right, Torbjörn?" "Aye, right you are, Tracer!" When I put down my fork, I heard a man come out from the kitchen and upon inspecting him, he looked awfully short. He had some kind of mechanical claw on his left arm and a tattoo of gears on his right arm. This guy also had some muscle tone behind his abundance of iron armor. "Well hello there! Who are you, sweet lady?" "Hi, I'm Sunset Shimmer! It's nice to meet you, sir!" "I'm Torbjörn. I see that you love my Swedish pancakes! Not only that I can cook, but I also get people to see my excellent engineering!" "We all do, chap!" Tracer added. "You never disappoint with both your combat and cooking!" "Ahaha, you got that right!" I continued to indulge myself in his delicious pancakes. Coming out of the elevator this time was Winston, who looked like he was about to faint. He then took a seat with us at the table and began eating as well. "What's wrong, big guy?" Tracer asked. "I spent hours last night with Athena trying to further enhance my tesla cannon. It was successful, but I got exhausted in the process and couldn't get enough sleep afterwards. "So, does that mean you didn't get to dream about peanut butter and bananas?" Tracer added. "Maybe." as Winston fixed his glasses. "Hehe, excuse me." I burped. "Well, I guess I'll be on my way back to my friends, then!" "Not so fast, Sunset!" Tracer giggled. "We haven't even discussed the plan yet!" "But, I thought that all you wanted me to do was join you guys and try to get my friends on board, too." "There's more to it than that." Winston said. "You already have the cellular device, which will allow you to communicate with us anywhere, but we have to provide you with more equipment." "Like what?" "Take this patch, love." Tracer said. "If anyone asks, you let them know that you're a part of the best heroes ever! Also, here's a few more for your friends!" "This is all I get? I mean, it's nice that you're giving this to me, but I don't think there's a lot of significance in these patches." "I see that you have a backpack right there, lady!" Torbjörn examined. "In that case, feel free to take this token of gratitude and conceal it with all your life!" "Wait, you can't be serious. I can't use this in public! I'm going to get arrested! What does this even say on here?" Caduceus Blaster Holder: Mercy "You're giving me an actual gun, Torbjörn? First off, I can't shoot anything because I'm not professionally trained. Secondly, I'm not allowed to use one of these." "We will put you through training, Sunset, and this is a very important cause." Torbjörn said. "The world is counting on us, and we must defeat Talon before they start up an Omnic Crisis of their own!" Winston cried. "Were they responsible for the one you mentioned earlier?" "No, but they have planned on numerous occasions to try and steal the latest mech technology in the entire world, which will cause another Omnic Crisis." Tracer said. "We really need your help, which will be much appreciated." "Will I...die?" "No." Winston replied. Saving the world using magic is common for me, but I need to shoot some people now to do it? I thought to myself. I'm not the vengeful girl that I was when I first attended Canterlot High, and I didn't even shoot a student back then. I guess I that for the time being, I should use this gun for a real emergency. "I never thought I'd say this, but...I'm in." "Well then, it's settled!" as Tracer clapped her hands. "Welcome to Overwatch, Sunset Shimmer!" Winston said. "Welcome aboard!" Torbjörn joined in. "I'm sure it's going to be nice working together with you all, too! May I return to my friends now?" "Of course, I'll lead you back to the portal." Tracer said. "It's obviously not too far from here, so join up on me outside if you've finished your breakfast." "I already have." "Okay, let's go!" "You two take care of yourselves." Winston acknowledged. "We will." Tracer replied. "I'll be sure to come back safely." As Tracer and I got on the elevator, we waved to the other heroes and went downstairs to street level. The main lobby looked pretty secret enough to install a security system, but seeing how these guys roll, they probably have trained themselves to handle any threat. I still can't believe that I now have my first gun, though. When we got outside, I was ready to equip it in case Talon shows up, but I figured that this won't be enough. What shocked me the most was seeing decapitated skulls on the ground. For one thing, Fluttershy would probably have to run to the bathroom if she was with me right now. "This alleyway is where the portal back to your world will be." Tracer pointed out. "So yesterday, I just came out of a brick wall?" "The distinct look of the portal can help you figure out where to go, dear. In case you run into trouble or are unable to defend yourself and your friends, then go ahead and give us a ring. Winston and I got you covered!" "But who's going to keep an eye on your base?" "Torbjörn and D.Va can handle it. Since it's highly impossible that they'll be taken down, Athena is at their disposal and can call our other heroes to the rescue." "Well, I'll keep that in mind. I know that we've only known each other for a few hours, but you and your allies like good friends to me already!" "I feel the same way, too!" Tracer said. "I hope you stay safe once you go back in and out of your world! Remember, we'll be watching over you." "Got it!" After everything that's been settled, it was finally time to go back home. I went through the portal knowing that I have a new task at hand. With the help of my friends, I'm positive that we can help Overwatch defeat Talon. However, I don't know how much of the information that I've gathered they can take in. We defeated Gloriosa a while ago, but I think we spent more time trying to fix Camp Everfree, rather than relaxing at it. If only Pinkie Pie wasn't so hyper... When I came out, I ended back at Canterlot High, which is still closed since today was Sunday. There was no sign of my friends anywhere, and not even Rainbow Dash was out on the field practicing with the field. The only one I remembered talking to before I left was Twilight, who had somethings to do with her brother, Shining Armor. Please pick up! I thought to myself. It was easier for me to distinguish between my two cellphones because one of them had the Overwatch symbol on it and the other one had my cutie mark. "Hello?" "Twilight, it's me, Sunset!" "Hey, it's so good to hear from you again! The rest of us were so worried about you!" "What do you mean by that?" "Did you receive any of our text messages or phone calls?" "No, why?" "Because Rarity was having a sleepover with the other girls in Manehattan, and they wanted you to come." I put Twilight on hold for a moment and checked that I really did have missed calls and text messages. "Wow, I didn't expect that!" "Was your phone out of charge or something, Sunset?" "No. Are you home right now, Twilight? I need to explain something very important to you and the others." "Yes, I'm home alone actually. You can tell me what you have to say over the phone, you know?" "It's a very long story." "Well, alright then. I'll tell the others to come over to my house, too." "Okay, I'm on my way!" "Bye!" as we both hanged up. I ran across the street and happened to catch the bus going downtown where Twilight lived. She doesn't live too far from school, but I didn't want to be wasting my breath running to her house. Ring ring ring. My phone from Overwatch was actually ringing. "Hello?" "Hello Sunset, this is Winston!" "Oh hey! Wait, where's Tracer? I thought she told me that I have to call whenever I'm in trouble." "She apparently took a break by playing video games with D.Va, so I'm in charge of communications for now. We just wanted to make sure everything's alright with you." "Everything's fine, Winston. I'm just on my way to my friend, Twilight, to tell her about everything." "Good, and remember, shoot anything that looks out of the ordinary." "Why is that?" "Science! Umm, not really. Have a nice day!" Hearing that made me want to facepalm so hard. I completely disregarded what Winston just said, except for the part where I have to shoot anything that looks out of the ordinary. Nonetheless, I finally reached Twilight's home, so I got off the bus. I looked through the front window to see if anyone was there and Twilight was on her couch watching TV. She looked to be in a pretty relaxing position while wearing pajamas. I then knocked on the door to call her and saw her coming. "Hi Sunset!" as she gave me a big hug. "Hi Twilight! May I come in?" "Of course!" "Thanks!" I closed the door behind me. "Are the other girls coming?" "Yes, they're almost here. You may sit down with me on the couch, if you like." "Gladly. So, what happened last night with you and your brother?" "He tried to make silly jokes at the dinner table around myself, our parents, and Dean Cadance. I was the only one who didn't laugh, surprisingly, because...they were really that horrible." "Oh, darn it!" "You dropped your phone, Sunset. I don't remember it being that big, though." "Neither have I." The doorbell suddenly rang and I volunteered to answer the door. Outside were all of our friends." "Hey girls!" "SUNSET!" They replied as they all squeezed me tightly. "Aww shucks, where have ya been, sugarcube?" Applejack asked. "Did you get my calls and messages?" Rarity asked. "Did you party without us?" Pinkie butted heads with them. "One at a time, girls! Twilight and I have been expecting you, so you may come in." We were all here and happy to see each other, except for Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. They looked sad instead. "Care to explain, you two?" Rarity minded. "I'll start off." Fluttershy answered. "Dashie and I apologized to each other before we got here, but I still feel really bad about what I did last night. Since you weren't calling back, Sunset, I got a bit tired and angry, so I left Manehattan and kind of snapped at Rainbow Dash." "I was really sorry for snapping at Fluttershy, too. I even called her a coward while trying to find her way home, which was totally wrong of me to do." "If you two are still friends, then I need to see you make up right now." "Hug?" Fluttershy begged. "I wouldn't want to upset my childhood friend, so come here!" Rainbow grabbed her and they both patted their backs while hugging. "Well, I'm glad that's settled!" I wiped off my sweat. "So, what's the scoop, Sunset?" Pinkie questioned. "Girls... Are you ready to save the world once again?" "You mean the day, right?" Rainbow corrected. "No, I'm serious. We're going to become even bigger heroes!" "What exactly are ya talking about, Sunset?" A.J. asked. "Remember that glowing blue thing from the ceiling at the mall that I was talking about? It turned out to be an actual girl!" "Really?" Fluttershy gasped. "How did you catch her?" "After we left the mall last night, I was going home and happened to have come across her at the statue last night. She actually went through the portal, so I had to follow her in order to make sure Princess Twilight and the rest of Equestria didn't get harmed." "Then what happened?" Rarity continued. "I actually didn't end up in Equestria, it was a completely different world. This girl's name is Lena Oxton, but she wanted me to refer to her as 'Tracer.' She actually saved me from the evil that we have to stop in that world, who is part of an evil organization named Talon." "I'm already lost, but oh well!" Pinkie shrugged. "Does this girl actually run as fast as I could, Sunset?" Rainbow wondered. "Yes, but not like any other athlete I've seen. She was teleporting and dashing oddly all over the place! Incredible I tell you!" "Interesting." Twilight nodded. "Go on." "Tracer is part of a team of heroes under the name of Overwatch. They've been watching over me since I first came into this world, which I thought was creepy at first, but I heard about their current situation to save their world from Talon." "Woah!" The rest of us covered our mouths. "Yeah. To get to the point, I was wondering if you can help me with Overwatch in stopping Talon once and for all. I've been told that it's not going to be easy." "Haha, that slaps me on the knee!" Rarity laughed. "Sunset, we could just pony-up and kick this organization's butt in a snap! What could be so difficult about that?" "The leader of Talon, Reaper, and his two main helpers don't use magic as much as we do." "What do they use?" Twilight asked. "Guns." > Watchpoint: Gibraltar > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- My friends all gave me surprised looks, which weren't really a surprise to me. To be honest, I'd rather spare some quick time solving what happened between Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, then I can go after Tracer. Oh well... "I'm just trying to get this straight, Sunset." A.J. said. "Ya want us to help you and this called Overwatch team by shooting down their rival, Talon?" "Yes, and like I said, it's not going to be easy. Talon's got tons of troops at their disposal, but Overwatch has hired some of the best fighters from their world." "What else do we have to do?" Twilight asked. "We only have to stop Talon once and for all, but we need to go through some rigorous training, according to Tracer." "Psst, that's ridiculous!" Rainbow smirked. "We already happen to be in the best shape of our lives, so what training do we need, Sunset?" "Yessss!" as Pinkie jumped from the couch. "Even more adult supervision!" "Umm, that's not really the case for us, but I guess you can call it that, Pinkie. Tracer looks very young, even in her mid-20s. Fluttershy, can you close the window blinds for a second?" "Okay." "Now, take a good look at this and don't freak out." "A gun?" Twilight fixed her glasses. "That looks like one of my inventions, for crying out loud! Is that actually mine?" "It's mine, Twilight. This very small guy named Torbjörn gave it to me." "Torb-who?" Rainbow scratched her head. "Torbjörn, but on more important things, it looks like we're all going to do target practice, girls." "Aren't firearms supposed to be illegal, Sunset?" Rarity asked. "Shh, don't give us away! Overwatch is at world war with Talon, so I don't see any reason for them or local authorities to catch us." "Say what?" A.J. straightened her hat. "I sure hope ya don't bring that gun to Canterlot High tomorrow, otherwise Principal Celestia will be on your tail! Even Big Mac would be baffled by this!" "I'll keep this concealed with all my life. From the looks of it, Applejack, you and Twilight look like you both already have perfect aim." "Really? Just because I was in the archery event at the Friendship Games doesn't mean I can snipe that easily." "Me neither, and Applejack even helped me shoot a target before we became friends." Twilight added. "I struggled so badly that day." "You were in the archery event too, right Fluttershy?" Pinkie pointed at her. "Yes. I have to also agree with the fact that I struggled too." "At least you've hit your target, sweetie." Rarity said. "I still think you'll be fine out there." I said. "So, I'm just going to call Tracer and fill her in." Ring ring ring. This other phone was a little bit heavier than the one I use. This could've also been one of Twilight's inventions if she already worked for Overwatch. It had similar buttons like my phone, such as the speakerphone and face call ones. Really, I had only one use for this, and that was to either call Overwatch. "Hello?" "Tracer, it's Sunset. I'm with my friends right now." "Excellent work, love!" She replied. "You got me on speakerphone, don't you?" "You're on it now." "Hello!" My friends greeted loudly. "Cheers loves, it's so good to finally hear all of you! Name's Tracer!" "Yeah, we heard that right." A.J. said. "Fancy hearing you too, sugarcube!" "Did you tell them everything, Sunset?" "I did, but I'm not sure if they're ready to go with me." "They'll be fine, dear, and so will you." Tracer assured. "You ladies now have the support of us here at Overwatch. We will do our best to protect you." "Hmm, this sounds awesome and all, but we still have to go to school." Rainbow pointed out. "Don't worry, you'll only be on duty after each school day has ended. Heck, you and your friends could graduate from both Canterlot High and Overwatch, Dasher!" "Dasher?" "That's your new codename for whenever you're working with Overwatch. Plus, you are a fast runner!" "Tracer really has watched our every move." Rainbow whispered to me. "No kidding. What do we do now, by the way?" "Gather everything you need and return to the portal at Canterlot High. Athena will change the destination to our training camp, so we could get you all ready to fight." "I'm pretty sure I have everything, Tracer. Twilight?" "Well, if we're going to do this, I'll definitely need a change of clothes. Be right back!" "Should I bring Angel?" Fluttershy asked. "I don't think pets are necessary, but if you want to bring him for support, be my guest, Fluttershy." "Never mind then." "How about our magical geodes?" Rainbow questioned. "Maybe not. I really think that they only work in our world, but hold on to them in case we have to come back here and fight." "Oh great, I suppose you're bringing us even more fancy outfits for us to wear, huh Rarity?" A.J. brought up. "Don't be ridiculous, darling... Maybe just a few!" "I got my trusty party cannon ready for action!" Pinkie exclaimed. "When did you get that?" "Yesterday at the mall, when you girls weren't looking!" "Brilliant!" as Tracer clapped her hands. "Now, let me ask the rest of you one last question, because I have already asked this to Sunset when she was in my world." "Hmm?" My friends mumbled. "Are you all 100% sure that you're ready to come with me? Sunset believes that you all seem tired of fighting countless waves of magical creatures here and there, which is totally understandable. You don't have to accept this mission if you want to." "Ehh, that's...partly true, but we still continue to fight for ourselves and others." Rainbow said. "We've only fought a few yet tough enemies before, but we can never do it without Sunset." Rarity declared. "If she's in this, then so am I!" as Twilight stood up from her couch. "Me too!" Fluttershy nodded. "And me three!" Pinkie jumped up. "We're always there for Sunset, no matter what." A.J. tipped off her hat. "Thank you so much, girls!" I immediately felt myself embraced by my friends tightly. Once again, it was time to save the day, but far away from home. If we had gone to Equestria for real, then I would probably be the only one who knows how to get around. I still had my magical geode around my neck, which reminded a lot like the Dazzlings' gemstones. But, why do I still care about them? They're forever gone. "Very well then." Tracer said. "I will see you ladies in a short while, so get to your school, okay?" "Yes ma'am!" We all hailed. As Tracer hanged up, my friends and I got our backpacks ready to go. This is probably like the first full-time job given to me, since the rest of my friends already have one. Even with how busy will be from now on, I will still keep in touch with Princess Twilight. Hopefully, Talon doesn't invade Equestria. Outside of Twilight's house, we caught a bus which was right on time and headed back to the city. It was early in the afternoon, but time was flying faster than usual. "You know, with how skinny our legs are, why couldn't we have just run to Canterlot High?" Rainbow asked. "Ya obviously would beat us by a landslide." A.J. replied. "Have ya ever raced that Indigo Zap before?" "Other than the Friendship Games, I haven't. I'd say we're pretty even, though." "Did we forget anything?" Twilight wondered. "You forgot Spike, but I'm assuming that he's still sick." "Maybe, Sunset, but I've always got my brother and parents to take care of him." "That's good to hear." "We're here!" Fluttershy reminded. My friends and I got off the bus and saw that there was no one around, not even Principal Celestia or Vice Principal Luna. Wherever they are, I hope that they don't catch us in a shootout. It was awfully quiet, not counting the traffic behind us. "Hello?" "Tracer, we're at the statue. Go ahead and send us back to the base." "Roger that, mate! I'm going to be relocating you seven to our training camp, so we can bring you in. Hit it, Athena!" "Who is she talking to, Sunset?" Twilight asked. "Overwatch's motherboard, Athena." "You're all set!" Tracer said. "Thank you. We'll see you on the other side!" "Tracer out!" "What are we waiting for?" Rainbow minded. "Let's get to it already!" "This is your first time traveling with me to another world. I don't think everything works the same over where Tracer is." After we stopped talking, I was the first one to head straight through the portal, then came the rest of my friends. I was already used to going back and forth out of this thing, but this was the first time that I'm not going alone. I could've sworn that Pinkie Pie even tried to make a break for the portal at one point. All I had on me was my backpack, which contained my gun, belongings, and messages to Princess Twilight. I didn't really know if my book was going to work somewhere else, either. "Nnnnggh, my head..." A.J. moaned. "Are we dead?" Pinkie poked her head out of the ground. "No, you're not. Hi there everyone!" "Winston!" "Th-that's a big gorilla, Sunset!" Fluttershy whispered to me. "He can talk too?" Rarity gasped. "Haha, have no fear! Tracer and I have been expecting you for quite some time now." "They know, big guy." as Tracer dashed behind me. "Welcome to our main Overwatch headquarters, ladies!" "Wow, even I can't create gadgets like the ones around me!" Twilight looked around. "Awesome!" Rainbow exclaimed. "When do we begin our training?" "Right after you all pick your loadouts." Winston replied. "Go ahead and show them the armory, Athena." "Doors opening." Two big sliding doors opened and we were greeted with a ton of weapons and equipment in what seems to be a big armory. Now I know that I'm definitely not allowed to be carrying any of these either at home or Equestria. I had a pretty normal reaction, but my friends' eyes looked like that they were about to pop out. "Holy crap!" Pinkie yelled. "I guess I'll be picking first." "Umm, we've already picked what's missing from your loadout, Sunset." Winston said. "What is it?" "Take this." as Tracer handed me an odd staff. Caduceus Staff Holder: Mercy "What am I supposed to do with this?" "It allows you to resurrect any of your allies, including your friends, in battle whenever they die." "Wait, who said that?" Twilight asked. "Good to see you, Dr. Ziegler!" Tracer greeted. "Hello there, Tracer! I see that you've brought some friends here." "Hi, I'm Sunset Shimmer, and it's nice to meet you!" "I am Angela Ziegler, but you may call me Mercy. Welcome aboard!" "I suppose I should give you your staff back, right?" "You may keep that one, my dear. I've got backup staves at my disposal." "You really are good in medical science, Sunset." Fluttershy said. "That's why we think she's capable of using that staff." Winston added. "It not only brings you back to life, but in perfect condition as well." "You guys really have been watching my every move." "How many times can she use it to save us?" A.J. questioned. "Sunset can heal any of you whenever you take a hit or two." Mercy explained. "She can also enhance your damage output so that your enemies will fall faster. Obviously, the staff has to be charged in order for someone to be resurrected." "I thought it would be that easy." Rarity said. "I think I got this." "Excellent!" Tracer clapped her hands. "Twilight Sparkle?" "Yes ma'am?" "You may pick your loadout. Choose wisely, hehe!" "Hmm... What's that one over there?" Endothermic Blaster Holder: Mei "You might want to wear gloves for that one, sport." Winston said. "No kidding, it's so cold!" Twilight shivered. "I guess th-this is is some kind of f-freeze ray!" "Certainly." Tracer said in a low voice. "Your turn, Fluttershy!" "M-me? Do you have anything that's the least...deadly?" "Well, these are all deadly, but if you want something that'll decimate quickly, I've got the thing just for you!" So far, Twilight and I were already equipped. It seems I only get a staff and gun on my end, but hey, I gotta do what I can to keep family and friends safe. There sure is a crap ton of guns and equipment right here. "Tracer, umm, I'm not a good archer." Fluttershy said. "Then you will get better at becoming one!" 雷の弓 保有者: 島田半蔵 "What does this read?" Fluttershy asked. "Athena, translate." Mercy instructed. "Scanning weapon. Translation completed and decrypted." Storm Bow Holder: Hanzo Shimada "Ooh, shiny!" as Pinkie leaned in close. "I like the decals on that bow, Fluttershy!" Rarity claimed. "It's also a bit heavy." "Tracer, are you sure Genji's brother is okay with you giving someone else one of his bows?" Mercy asked. "He can lose his temper sometimes." "Why not? Hanzo has accepted our offer to join us as long as he gets to fight alongside his brother. You want the best for Genji, right Dr. Ziegler?" "I do, but he told me long ago that only a Shimada can control the dragons, so I highly doubt that Fluttershy can do the same." "I'll see if I can contact the both of them later." as Winston fixed his glasses. "You're good with that thing, Fluttershy?" A.J. asked. "Yes, but I do need to train myself. I have no idea who any of those people Tracer said are, but maybe they can help." "Moving on!" Tracer said. "Rainbow Dash, it's your turn!" "I already see my tickets to awesomeness on the wall there!" "Hey, good choice, mate!" Tracer giggled. "I use those, too!" Pulse Pistols Holder: Tracer "Ya got two firearms?" A.J. raised an eyebrow. "Now that ain't fair." "Rarity?" Tracer pulled her shirt. "Oh sorry, I was just looking around. Let's see, I don't want anything too heavy or too light. I just need something concealable enough for my purse, okay?" "You're wearing a backpack, though." I facepalmed. "Psst, I don't know what you're talking about, Sunset!" She chuckled. "What's that pink gun up there?" "Allow me to get that for you." Winston pledged. "Be careful not to crush it, big guy!" Tracer rolled her eyes. Light Gun Holder: D.Va "Hey, I know who she is. She let me sleep in her room when I first ended up in this world." Speaking of D.Va, I'm guessing that she's back at the other base playing video games or something. It was a good thing I didn't smell like her chips or hear how loud she was chewing them. I hope all goes well for her. "Oww, watch where ya swinging that!" A.J. groaned. "Sorry Applejack, but I just can't take my eyes off of this glamorous little trinket!" Rarity noted. "There's more about ya that needs training." She said under her voice. "It's okay, Applejack, because you're next in line!" Tracer said. "Yeehaw, let's see what y'all got here! Ah, found it!" Peacekeeper Holder: McCree "I think I like this doohickey, but can anyone tell me why it's bent like this?" "The gun model was supposed to be built and designed like that." Winston replied. "It appears that we only have one recruit left." "That's me!" Pinkie raised her hand. "You got any fancy party cannons lying around?" "Umm, no." Tracer coughed. "Well then, this heavy device will have to do!" as Pinkie picked up a long weapon. Particle Cannon Holder: Zarya "Are you sure you can carry that on your back?" "Yup, both on my front and back, Sunset!" "Exciting!" Tracer giggled. "It looks like you seven are ready to head out to the practice range!" "If you succeed in helping us with our mission, you will get to return home while being greatly rewarded." Winston added. "That's great, but we really just want to protect you and this world from Talon. We promise that we'll do whatever it takes to reduce all the dangers that are going to be thrown at us." "If we're training right now, can we get cupcakes afterwards?" Pinkie wondered. "Of course, love!" Tracer answered. "Name your flavor and we'll deliver it to you faster than you can blink!" "I think I'm beginning to like Overwatch!" Pinkie whispered to me. > Practice Range: Gibraltar Part 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Zzzz... Huh? Twilight? Where are you?" "Just take it easy, Spike. Twily will be back soon to look after you." "She better, or else I'm going to faint, Shining Armor!" "You're going to be fine. In case Twily or I don't come back later, Mom and Dad will be home to check up on you, too." "Where did she even go?" "Probably doing something very important. I guess that's why she called me to tell me that she was going somewhere far away. I hope she comes back safely." "I miss her already." Sunset. Our training was about to begin and Winston led us to a big hangar. This must be the place, judging by the test dummy robots and targets in line with each other. It would suck if we had to pay for any damages. "Are you sure we can shoot these robots?" "They can come back to life at anytime, even when badly damaged." Winston said. "It's all thanks to their self-reparation systems." "Okay, so who's up first?" "You, Sunset." Tracer said. "But first, Dr. Ziegler would like to give you something special." "Wear this, my dear. This is a Valkyrie suit, which allows you to fly to any of your allies and float down safely to earth. Only within a close range can make you fly like an angel." "Thanks, this fits perfectly!" "Allow me to demonstrate the one I'm wearing." After I equipped this white suit, I watched closely as Mercy took a step back and flew up to a training bot on a higher platform. She rose up slowly at a constant speed and I could see her waving up there. "That. Is. Awesome!" Rainbow Dash squealed. "Now it's your turn to try the Valkryie suit." as Mercy descended to the ground. "It's not that difficult to use. Just look up at the bot and fly to it." "Okay." I gulped. I was worried that if these wings failed on me, I could've died from fall damage, but here goes nothing. "Up, up, and away!" I had my eyes closed since I wanted to concentrate on my flight. I took a step back and jumped up, suddenly no longer feeling the ground beneath me, and I actually made it up here. It's pretty high up, but not to the point where my bones could break. "Woah!" The rest of my friends admired. Oddly enough, this training bot waved at me, and so did I. "How's the view up there, buddy?" Pinkie shouted. "Fine! You should see this for yourself!" "Alright then." as Winston fixed his glasses. "Now, it's onto target practice, so why don't you come on down from there?" "All you have to do is walk off and you will float down safely." Mercy explained. I closed my eyes again and proceeded to get down from this height. I was relieved to be on the ground again, but nonetheless, the flight was fun. "Athena will take it from here, Sunset Shimmer." Mercy said. "Please proceed to any shooting lane." She ordered. "Okay." "Your blaster has infinite ammunition, but it still needs to reload after each magazine. There are three targets in front of you. Take your time and proceed to kill them all when ready." "No pressure, Sunset!" Twilight said. Aim for their heads... I fired a couple of shots at the first training bot and took it down. The fire rate of my gun was pretty slow but effective at the same time. "One down, keep it up, love!" Tracer cheered. "How do I reload this?" "It will automatically reload once you've finished your magazine." Mercy replied. "You still have some shots left." "Shoot away, sugarcube!" A.J. howled. "Steady does it... Fire!" "Second target neutralized." Athena pointed out. "Note that all of your weapons have recoil and may not guarantee you a quick kill. You seven will surely need some more practice everyday." "Got it." as I reloaded. "Only one target left." It was getting kind of warm and I started to sweat a little bit, but that didn't stop me from completing my training. Without hesitation, I shot the last target in the head a couple more times and killed it. What was left in the firing range were a bunch of parts and components from the robots. My friends were watching right behind me and not surprisingly, they were happy to see me get past this first part of the training. If anything, I could've been a decent archer at the Friendship Games, but I left that up to Applejack and Fluttershy. "Way to go, darling!" Rarity idolized. "Awesome, Sunset, and you didn't even miss a single shot!" Rainbow indicated. "Perfect, and now, we shall move on to the actual healing element of your training." Athena said. "The training bots that you've just shot will now be revived and do some damage to some friendly bots now. Your job now is to heal them all with your staff." When she finished, more robots came out, this time with blue eyes, and walked right in front of the enemy bots. I had my staff ready and a finger waiting to press a button that had a yellow cross on it. "Damage has now been inflicted. Heal your allies at once." The button was held down and a yellow stream of energy started to affect the friendly bots. Their twitching began to fade away and it looked like they were obtaining health from my staff. I'll admit that this technology is pretty cool, though. "I think this'll do for healing." "Great job mate!" Tracer said. "Now, if you want your enemies to die quickly, you can engage a damage boost to your allies and they'll do the job for you." "The damage boost button on your staff is indicated by a blue arrow." Mercy alluded. "Found it!" "One by one, we want you to enhance your allies' damage so they can take out the bots." Athena explained. Once I pressed the blue button, a blue energy stream touched the first training bot. It fired at a target, which took less time to die than when I killed a target. Then, I helped the next two bots with their damage output, as I engaged the blue stream back and forth between the two. "Super!" Winston congratulated. "Your staff is now fully charged, meaning that you are able to resurrect any of your allies." Athena said. "Healing and boosting will charge it up all the way, so keep that in mind. Since your blaster is also linked to your staff, it can increase your charge as well. I shall terminate the allied bots in order to allow you to revive them." "I got it." Immediately, the friendly bots just crashed down on the floor and broke into multiple pieces. Whatever amount of money Overwatch was covering for all the damages would go through the roof. I would really feel bad if I broke something, though. "There's a big button underneath the yellow charge meter, so go ahead and press it whenever you're ready, Sunset." Mercy pointed out. "Mm-hmm. Woah, this really works!" "Ahh!" My friends spit out. "Well, I'll be impressed!" Tracer giggled. "You've made it past your training, Sunset!" "I'm glad to hear that, but this is it? My role is that quick and simple?" "Not simple, though." Athena responded. "You will definitely run into trouble and have to heal and revive your teammates, and even they will have to rely on protecting you." "We'd never let you down, Sunset!" Fluttershy said. "We'll always be kicking butt by your side!" Rainbow fist pumped. "After all, you shine the brightest out of all of us!" Rarity came in. "It's always a pleasure being with ya, Sunset!" A.J. tipped off her hat. "Best friends until the end!" Pinkie jumped up and down. "Together forever!" as Twilight stepped closer to me. Every time I've heard the same words from them, I've tended to get speechless and emotional inside. I can never help, but appreciate all that they've done for me. I felt my friends embracing me, not surprisingly, and I welcomed it. There was a halo over my head, which probably came with Mercy's Valkryie suit. I guess I'm supposed to be the angelic one. Weird... "Winston, why are your glasses wet?" Tracer asked. "N-no reason! I just found this to be...rather touching." "Right... Well, cheers to you, Sunset! You think you're ready to go out in the field?" "Yes, but I still need some more time getting used to all of this. Maybe, you can also fill in my friends about everything else." "Of course, but you don't mind if you can sit through their training first as well, do you?" "I can wait. Thanks Tracer!" "Let's see, uhh, we have Twilight Sparkle next!" Winston announced. "That's me!" "Where is your weapon, young lady?" Mercy scratched her head. "I dropped it on the floor. It was too cold for me to hold, but I would like to try it out!" "Now where did Mei leave her backup outfits?" Tracer whispered. "Ah, here they are! Twilight, I suggest you wear this and these gloves if you don't want to freeze up." "Brrr! Do you have somewhere that I can put this on?" "There's a locker room by the door when we first came in here, so I'll guide you to it." Mercy said. "Thank you!" Twilight replied. "I'll be back girls." When they both left, I turned around and couldn't help but notice the rest of my friends all looking at their new weapons and what not. Of course, Rarity examined hers like it was some sort of diamond or other kind of gem. "Hey Applejack, what time is it?" Pinkie asked. "Well, the moon's certainly drawing closer here, y'all, but back home, I'm guessing it's still high noon. Why do ya ask?" "I was thinking if we can all role play with these!" "Why? You know how real and dangerous these guns are! These were built by professionals!" "Aww, I wanted to be the good cop!" Rainbow sighed. "I guess I'm the bad cop." Fluttershy whispered. "How does it feel, Miss Sparkle?" "This is a little big on me, but it's about right. Thanks for bringing me here, Doctor!" "Hehe, you're welcome, and please, call me Mercy!" "Okay, Mercy!" "Umm, excuse my sudden urge, but is it okay if I ask you something? I hope it doesn't seem too personal." "I'm listening." "How violent do you tend to get?" "Huh, that's odd, but I'm not that kind of a person. Well, we just saved Camp Everfree a few weeks ago and..." "You fell in love with the director's brother for saving him and his camp, right?" "Wow, you folks here have REALLY been following us around all this time! But, I don't know necessarily if using magic to fight evil counts as violence." "Hmm, well, I guess you have to do what you got to do to keep everyone safe. I know what to use for a last resort." "Who exactly tags along in finding us?" "Tracer's the only one that teleports to your world and she reports everything back to us." "My friends and I are that important?" "Yes, but we identify you and your friends as no threat. You all are some of the best and brightest this organization has come across. We thought you'd all be perfect for our cause against Talon." "Oh. I heard from Sunset that there's a lot more heroes helping you. Where's the rest of them?" "If it wasn't for Winston, we wouldn't have been reunited in the first place. They're in different parts of the world, trying to exterminate the rest of Talon's forces." "Reunited?" "When Overwatch was first developed, we put an end to the Omnic Crisis that has struck the world and we became real heroes. However, the people eventually got tired of us saving their lives all the time and demanded us to stop all of our activities. They even called us criminals, and after all of that, it was the end of Overwatch." "I'm so sorry to hear that. Were Talon's forces responsible for this Omnic Crisis?" "No, the creators of the Omnics tried to improve humanity, but the machines themselves turned on their creators and started to raid the world, about 20-30 years ago. Again, it's all thanks to Winston's recall that brought us back together. Some of us, though, still have a personal vendetta against Talon's three assassins." "Who are they?" "The leader, Reaper, used to be our very first commander of Overwatch, named Gabriel Reyes. He was moved to the Blackwatch Division here after some time and had a nasty feud with our current commander, Jack Morrison, who still calls himself, Soldier: 76. They argued about who would be the best leader of Overwatch and the two eventually almost died in a fiery explosion in an old base of ours." "How did they survive?" "The whereabouts of Reyes were unknown, but he got back up and turned against Overwatch, specifically Morrison. He, on the other hand, was the first one to make it out of the explosion. I had to heal his wounds and they looked very painful." "How dangerous is Reaper, Mercy?" "Very. He looks like death himself and can raise hell whenever and wherever he wants. He can even come from the shadows and sneak attack." "Did you guys try and get him back on your side?" "It's no use. He's gone completely insane and will stop at nothing to take us down with his trusted henchmen. His hacker associate, Sombra, is a top-level expert that can patch into almost all of the technology known to man. Widowmaker is Reaper's number two, as her sniping skills and agility make her ferocious and poisonous like a spider." "They don't sound too friendly, now that I'm hearing this." "That's why we need your help, and I'm sure Sunset Shimmer has told you this already, but she came across Reaper upon first meeting Tracer. She probably told you everything, didn't she?" "Yes, but I needed to find out if Sunset was actually right. Well, we'll do whatever we can to help." "That would be very appreciated of you, Twilight! I think it's time to get back to your friends, so you can get ready to fight. Better finish suiting up!" "Sure thing." "Oh, and one other thing, Twilight!" "What is it?" "Is it okay if you can help me with something later on? You are known to be smart like Sunset. If not, I completely understand." "Whatever it is, you can count on me to get it done! But first, I need to get back to training." "Thank you!" "Oh my gosh, how long is she taking in there?" Rainbow grunted. "Patience, Miss Dash!" as Rarity wagged her index finger . "You can never rush fashion, even in combat." "Yeah, whatever." "There she is!" "I'm back!" Twilight said. Twilight was now wearing her battle outfit, which turned out to be clothes more suited for winter. She shivered a bit just holding her freeze ray and now she's starting to sweat a little bit, even in this hangar that has air conditioning. "Geez, you look more like an egghead with that!" as Rainbow bursted out laughing. "If you test her, then you're testing me as well. Knock it off." "Sorry Twilight." "...Bite me." She said under her voice. "What do you want me to do now?" "Resetting training range." Athena said. "Twilight, you may now step into any lane to begin your training." "Yes ma'am!" "Your Endothermic Blaster can spray ice, but not at a far range. Once you have frozen enemies in their tracks, you can finish them off with a deadly icicle. For example, I want you to freeze that test dummy right in front of your lane." "Umm, sure. Hey, this actually works! Aww, but this little guy unfroze immediately!" "If you push the trigger upwards, Twilight, the ice can be turned into a long range projectile. But, be careful about where you point your Endothermic Blaster, because you might accidentally impale one of your friends." "That almost happened with Mei sometime before." Tracer brought up. Surely and swiftly, Twilight shot an icicle out of her gun and it even knocked the training bot's head off. If she ever pointed that at me, which I highly doubt she will, then I would be dead. "Nice work, Twilight." Athena said. "Your weapon may be easy to use, but it will take some time getting used to." "No kidding." "I think I see a perfect streak of accuracy going on here!" Winston smiled. "Hehe, but I doubt any of our new rookies will be able to top Captain Amari!" Tracer whispered. "She's had good aim all these years, so there's no surprise that Commander Morrison trusts her with his heart!" "Finally, I want to go over your ultimate ability." Athena explained. "There is a robotic companion on the back of your ice pack that will stir up a blizzard, freezing multiple targets. It can charge up by detecting how many enemies you have frozen To demonstrate this, I will summon more training bots right now, Twilight." "Aww, this little guy looks so adorable!" Rarity gushed. "It, rather, looks adorable!" A.J. reaffirmed. "Twilight, uhh, I think your new friend is looking at you." "Hey there! What can I call you?" "You can name him after you throw him in the range." Athena reminded. "If necessary, you may wish to step back a bit, Twilight, because your companion's blizzard range is quite big." "Okay, here goes nothing! You all need to chill out!" "...Even I didn't find that to be funny." Pinkie whispered to me. "I...kind of did." "Brr, is it getting colder or is it just me?" Rainbow shivered. "Nah, I think Twilight's just nailing her training." as A.J. brushed off her shoulder. " Look how cold those vermin are!" "I should have brought one of my fancy silk scarves..." as Rarity tried to cover herself up. > Practice Range: Gibraltar Part 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Up next, we have Rainbow Dash." Athena said. "Awesome!" "Hold on there, sport, you're forgetting your outfit." Tracer added. "Ladies and Winston, excuse us for a bit!" "I get that a lot..." "I'll be back, girls." Rainbow said. "Mh-hm!" The rest of us nodded. Rainbow and Tracer went to the locker room that was behind us. Luckily, they brought their guns with them in case something goes wrong. "So, umm, do any of you girls like peanut butter?" Winston asked. Oddly enough, we all raised our hands. "How would you all like it if I fixed us all some sandwiches after this training program?" "That sounds great!" We replied. "Winston, you always have a hard time trying to even cut a slice of bread!" Mercy facepalmed. "Even Genji still seems to find that funny!" "You actually want to blame me for that? Oh okay, maybe that's actually true." "It is, darling." "Hey, I thought we were going to get cupcakes after this!" Pinkie frowned. "Then, you can eat both the cupcakes and sandwiches, though I do not recommend a sugary balance like that." Mercy said. "I guess that's what you tell your patients, huh?" "No matter what the cause may be, my colleagues never die!" "Is that a good fit for you, Rainbow Dash?" "Yeah, but this kind of makes my butt look big. I like it though!" "Hehe, don't sweat it!" "What's this thing on my chest?" "That, mate, is one of Winston's chronal accelerators. It allows you to move at quick speeds, just like me. You can even heal yourself by going back in time." "Wait, so using this thing was how you were able to teleport all over the place? That's what Sunset told us." "And she's not wrong. You'll learn how to use the chronal accelerator properly and effectively in combat." "Can I take this off at any time? It would be awkward to be seen with this in public." "You can, but I can't take off mine." "Why not? I'll help you, Tracer." "No, you don't understand, Rainbow Dash. This chronal accelerator is what's keeping me in the present time." "What do you mean by that?" "So, I suppose you want to know why. It all started a few years ago. Overwatch was looking for a hotshot pilot to test their next-generation teleporting fighter: The Slipstream. I heard my name, Lena Oxton. That’s me! It was the opportunity I had trained for my whole life. But on my first flight, the teleportion matrix malfunctioned, and I disappeared." "Who found you like that?" "I was basically a ghost who got stuck between the past and present and couldn't physically do anything. After that point, Winston designed the chronal accelerator so that I can live in the present and actually be visible to everyone." "So, it's like another heart for you?" "It's the only one I have left." "Not if you look deep inside... You're lucky just like me to have awesome friends to be there with you all the time!" "True, but even if the world can finally live in peace, I don't think that'll bring my old life back." "Maybe so, but whatever happens, Overwatch can definitely count on us!" "Appreciate that, Dasher! Now, let's get going so we can all go home." "Umm, so I see you have a lot of awards hung up in this place." I said. "That's really neat, Winston!" "Thank you! They are still a good reminder of our glory days." "Hey, I never noticed this big spaceship above us, until just now." as Twilight looked up. "This is the MV-261 Orca." Mercy said. "You will soon later fly one of these in your missions, assuming one of you is an expert pilot. Any volunteers in the meantime?" "We all don't know how to fly, Doc." A.J. frowned. "I guess we'll have to call Hana and get her to fly you, ladies." "I thought she was a mech pilot, not a regular pilot." "Even with her significant amount of skills in video games, she's gotten the hang of piloting the Orca." Athena pointed out. "Go figure..." "I'm back, girls!" Rainbow called out. "Check me out!" "Wow, you are dressed exactly like Tracer, so what gives?" Rarity asked. "We're both speedsters, so it makes sense to look like one!" Tracer replied. "Excellent, and speaking of speed, that is what your training will focus on, Rainbow Dash." Athena said. "Then why do I have these guns?" "They are still for self-defense, but tricking your enemies with evasive maneuvers is your primary function. To test this speed, let us do a test race." "A race?" I whispered. "Haha, nobody could beat me in a race!" "Then, good luck and try beating me!" Tracer smirked too. "Opening track hangar." Athena said. "Rainbow Dash, your objective is to try and touch the red flag at the end before Tracer reaches it." That's a long corridor! "Fair enough, but I should warn you: I'm the fastest thing alive!" "Is that so? Why don't you eat my dust?" "Enough chatting, ladies. Ready yourselves at the start line at once." "Good luck, Rainbow Dash!" The rest of us cheered. It's just a couple of hurdles in a straight line, Dasher... How bad could it be? "Angela, you have the honor of counting down." "Thank you, Athena." "I can't watch!" as Fluttershy hid herself behind me. "What's the worst that could happen?" A.J. spit out. "On your mark... Get set... GO!" "Woah..." "Do my eyes deceive me?" Rarity coughed. "They are both neck and neck!" "But, how? When I first saw a bit of Tracer back at the mall, I could only see her for a split second, and now Rainbow Dash is running at the same speed as her?" "Maybe it's a sugar rush?" Pinkie licked a finger. "No, I didn't see Rainbow eat anything sweet before we got here." Twilight replied. "I need to record this and show it to our school track and field team!" "I wouldn't do that if I were you." Winston pardoned. "We can't let you tell anyone of our existence in your world. It's critical enough that you have to keep our technology a secret." "Why not?" "If you tell anyone about Overwatch, our enemies might sneak into your world again and try and find our weakness." "But, you're all strong enough to defend yourselves, aren't you?" A.J. tipped off her hat. "Every single ally increases our strength and we will lose some every time we don't stick together." Mercy explained. "Our portal can allow access to our other allies that are in other parts of the world, including your world." "Oh, that's nice. Wait, Tracer? Race's over that quick?" "I won!" Rainbow Dash celebrated. "Winston, did you give her a much better chronal accelerator than mine?" "N-no, I completely swear that both of yours are programmed like the way I wanted them to work!" My mind took a while to process. Rainbow Dash has always been Canterlot High's best runner, but I think she even exceeded her personal speed. I turned around for about 5 seconds and I already saw her back here. "Impressive, but I took it easy on you, junior!" "Sure, Tracer! Actually, on second thought, how did I beat you?" "The way your chronal accelerator works is that it gives you the ability to control your own time. In other words, sprinting or leaping in any direction will make you zip within the blink of an eye." "So, I'm basically invincible?" "Not quite. You are a very fragile target, but your speed will make it harder for your enemies to kill you. In case you take damage, you can go back in time to recover yourself by retreating to cover. Of course, you need to charge up the chronal accelerator before you can zip again." "Sounds awesome!" "And with that being taken care of, your training is complete, Rainbow Dash." Athena said. "Aww, I don't get to shoot anything?" "You will when you're in battle. Remember that your primary function is to outrun your enemies and get the surprise on them, rather than just moving from cover to cover to shoot." "Fair enough." "Who's next, Athena?" Rarity asked. "That would be Fluttershy." "Me? Already?" "Do you want to go home or not?" Rainbow crossed her arms. "Okay, I'll do it! I just hope I don't mess up!" "This is just training, so mistakes are okay." Mercy added. "You will perfect your skills soon." "Doc, Fluttershy only has a bow." A.J. said. "How hard could you perfect it?" "There's only one archer who never misses his target and he is a good warrior. Athena, initiate a video call with Genji and Hanzo ." "Yes, Angela." The motherboard turned to static and white noise came out as it was trying to connect us to different people. "You have reached the Shimadas. Begin call." "Hello?" "A cyborg ninja?" as Pinkie rubbed her eyes. I couldn't believe it myself. This guy is wearing metal all over his body and he's carrying what looks to be a sword on his back. "Genji, this is Angela. Hello there!" "Angela! I couldn't think of a more beautiful time to talk to you! How are you?" "Always in the best shape of my life. Where is your brother?" "Hanzo at your service." Up on the big screen was a guy wearing a special robe and had a strange goatee on his chin. He was carrying the same bow as Fluttershy. "Greetings, young ones! What can we do for you?" "Wait, I need to take a better look at her." Genji said. "Her?" as Hanzo put down his bow. "Angela, I didn't realize that there's someone else wearing your exact same clothes! What is her name?" "Me? My name is Sunset Shimmer, and it's nice to meet you, Genji!" "Pardon my awkwardness, and I know we've just met, but I find you to be beautiful just like Dr. Ziegler over there." "Oooh..." My friends giggled. "Oh, umm... Th-Thank you!" "Ahem." Mercy interrupted. "Hanzo, are you busy at the moment?" "No, and I have no plans whatsoever." "Mada mada." Genji whispered. "Good, because it look likes that you will have a new student on your hands!" Winston declared. "Hmm... I've never taught anyone in my life how to utilize my marksman skills, but I guess that whoever you're sending over will possibly be fortunate enough to control the dragons." Gulp. That will be me. "Who are you, my new student?" "I'm Fluttershy..." "Umm, can you repeat that, young lady?" Genji asked. "This is Fluttershy. Please, try not to give her a hard time, or...you're going to regret it." "So, she is my new apprentice, Sunset? I pledge that I will train her to the best of my ability, but on one condition." "Oh?" Pinkie droned. "Anything that'll make sure Fluttershy is well-prepared." Twilight engaged. "Very well, but this actually involves you and the rest of your friends." "Huh?" as we rushed towards Athena. "I need one of you to guard our dojo with me, making sure no intruders disrupt the training process." Genji responded. "But, not all of us are trained enough to fight yet." "Then, why don't we let Fluttershy choose who gets to go with her and see who she trusts to protect her?" Rainbow insisted. "Hanzo, can't we all join to help your brother? We won't distract you and Fluttershy." "Girls, don't worry about me. I'll be fine with just one of you coming with me. Besides, I train under less pressure when there's barely anyone around. Sunset?" "I guess I love you well enough as a friend to let you train in peace with Hanzo." "We all do." as Rarity flipped her hair. "Oh, thank you!" as Fluttershy proceeded to hug us all. "I think I'm starting to sweat in my suit, brother." "Hehe. You've cried as a boy and now you've cried as a cyborg ninja! Anyway, Fluttershy, select your protector and we shall welcome you over." There was no more light outside, meaning that it was nighttime. Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and I have trained so far and time flew by quickly. I guess that's what happens when you get things done in this world. "I choose...Applejack." "Well, it was nice knowing y'all!" "Hey, you both aren't going to die, so don't say that!" "No, I didn't mean it like that." "I think that's her way of bragging about the fact that Fluttershy chose her to go with her." Rarity giggled. "You can count on me to keep an eye on things, Fluttershy!" "Well, it's because of that and how well you did in the Friendship Games! I honestly thought it would be nice to pair up again." "Of course." "Also, are your other friends comfortable with you two sleeping over in our dojo tonight?" Hanzo asked. "Mm-hmm!" All of us replied. "Very well, it's settled then." "Athena, change the portal's destination." Tracer said. "Rerouting to Hanamura, Japan." "I guess this is goodbye from the both of us." Fluttershy frowned. "Don't worry, you'll be fine! You've got Applejack with you, and in case things go wrong, the rest of us will come save you both!" "I won't let ya down, Fluttershy!" "Group hug!" "Pinkie is definitely going to miss them already..." Twilight wondered. "Ah, what the heck?" "Aww, hehe!" Pinkie always wins in being the one on top of us. Deep inside of her fun demeanor, she's really soft and sad whenever she sees one of us leave to go somewhere far away from home. I hope she doesn't hit rock bottom. "Touching. Come now, my student, where Master Zenyatta and I will be waiting."
