Princess of the Night. It was a fitting title in more ways than one. Nobody could see her, until it was too late. "Aaaand DOMINATED" Luna exclaimed happily. It had been a couple of days since Luna actually got to play her favorite FPS, Pony Fortress 2. She was a expert at the game, and specialized as the spy. "Well, this is getting boring." She sighed after destroying a couple more players. Suddenly she read in the chat feed that another player had joined the game. At first she thought it was just another person to kill, when suddenly BOOM! HEADSHOT! the server exclaimed. Luna was sniped by the new player. "Okay, I guess I'll take care of him." She thought out loud. She approached the enemy sniper bunker, using her invisibility,. "Almost there, and..." BOOM! HEADSHOT! "No matter. I'll be a sniper too" BOOM! HEADSHOT! Luna couldn't believe it. Normally she was top player, but this time..... "Gotcha" the palyer said via voice chat. Luna was surprised to hear a girls voice. She quickly recovered and said "I couldn't get a shot on you! Your teammate blocked it!" "Sorry to hear that" she said. "How about we go to a smaller server and have a 1v1?" "Challenge accepted!" Luna huffed.
After a quick search, they found an empty server, joined in, picked the sniper class and their weapons, and waited. 3.....2.....1.........BEGIN Luna took the first shot, which missed the other player by inches. She then replied with a perfect head shot. "Damn" Luna swore under her breath. Luna re spawned and readied her Kukri, when suddenly... "Boo!" Tyriel said into the mic, as she got a head shot on Luna.
After a while of redundant showdowns like this, the girls were tied, 19-19. Match point. Luna was very alert. She was in a position that she was sure Tyriel couldn't get her. However..... "Boom! I win!" Tyriel said,landing a head shot. "B-b-b-b-but how?" Luna asked, baffled. When Tyriel sent her the replay, she couldn't believe it. She had accidentally un-crouched for 1 second. That's how. "I want a rematch!" Luna said, a little pissed. "Sorry, but i have to leave, got chores to do" "C'mon, just one more kill?" "Nope sorry. Later!" Luna was infuriated. Sparks flashed out of her horn, when suddenly.... FLASH
"Owww! What just happened?" Tyriel said.
"Who are you?" Luna asked.
"I'm Avril, and who are-AAAAAHHHH WHY ARE YOU A PONY!!???" Avril yelled.
"AND WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU???!!" Luna screamed.
"I'M HUMAN!" Avril screamed back. After taking a few minutes to calm down, Luna explained that the reason Avril was there may or may not be her fault. She told Avril that she was in Equestria, more specifically, the Canterlot Castle. Luna's room was very large (naturally) with an enormous black and blue colored king sized bed at the center. The supports, though seemingly made of gold were a deep navy color, supposedly to compliment Luna's own coat. Avril was impressed, for she had never in her life seen something as extravagent. Luna offered a seat to Avril. The chair was obviously made of some sort of suede, also dark blue. After taking a few seconds to regain her composure, Avril spoke.
"So, what the hell is this castle for anyway? And why the hell do i smell apple pie?"
"Well" the cobalt blue alicorn said "My sister Celestia and I are princesses. As for your second question, I've requested dessert. Now that you're here, would you like some?" she said with a smile. Avril couldn't help but smile back.
"Yes, thank you" she said.
"You are very welcome" Luna said with a giggle, as she got up to get their dessert Avril was a little upset that she had been dragged into Equestria, but she kinda liked Luna. She was cool, and fun to hang out with. She could tell this was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
The pie arrived a moment later. Avril took a bite. Man, this stuff is awsome! Avril thought. The pie obviously only had the highest quality apples used in it. It was very sweet, but not too sweet, with just the right amount of sourness there. Wrapping it up was an absolutly divine crust; golden brown, perfectly warm, and not too crumbly either. This would give Betty Crocker a run for her money she thought.
"So, do you like it?" Luna asked, as they both bit into their pie.
"It's delicious!" Avril exclaimed
"Indeed. My sister makes sure we have the best chefs in Equestria"
"So" Avril said in between bites. "You're a magical pony princess with wings and a horn, who lost control of her magic, and that's how I got here?"
"Pretty much".
"Well, can't you send me back?"
"I'm afraid not. I have no idea how I cast the spell to bring you here". Avril sighed, frustrated. Oh well, it could be worse. I could've been stuck with some kind of man eating sheep or something. "Oh please don't worry Avril. I'll talk to my sister about it in the morning, okay?"
"Sounds good" Avril said "So, can you give me a tour?" She grinned
Luna showed Avril all over the castle. From the servants quarters to the recreation room, to the royal bedrooms, even a secret old forgotten dungeon Luna hung out in on occasion.
"This place is HUGE!" Avril exclaimed.
"Yes, i suppose it is" Luna said
"Something wrong?" Avril asked
"No, nothings wrong" Luna lied. In truth, Luna had developed some kind of nagging feeling in the pit of her stomach.
"Well, okay then" Avril said, in a lame attempt to cover up the awkwardness of the moment. Luna yawned, noting that the sun would need to be risen soon. She went to go wake her sister.
"You see Avril, I raise and lower the moon, where my sister raises and lowers-"
"The sun?" Avril asked
"Yes. We have had this routine for a while now, although it was my sister doing it by herself at one point due to me being....absent" Luna was pained at the memory, but quickly gave Avril a reassuring smile. She yawned again as they approached Celestia's room.
"Knock knock big sister!" Luna called out. They heard a groan from inside the room.
"What is it?" Celestia asked groggily.
"Time to raise the sun dear sister" Luna said. Celestia groaned again.
"Fine" she said. After the ritual was completed, Luna said goodnight and retired to bed. Avril did the same thing.
"So Luna, where should I sleep?"
"For tonight , you can sleep with me in my bed". She quickly tried to reword that, but Avril was already giggling. "I didn't mean it like that! Pervert!" Luna stuck her tongue out at Avril. Avril giggled more. They found themselves gazing into each other's eyes. They both quickly turned away, blushing ever so slightly.
"Well, goodnight Luna" Avril said, still blushing. Luna giggled now.
"You mean, good morning?" Luna said, trying not to laugh.
"........Fuck off" Avril said, badly faking anger. Luna giggled at the sight of Avril's body shaking from silent laughs.
That night when Luna and Avril woke up, Avril was startled to realize her clothes,and Luna, were gone. She was lying there in nothing but her underwear.
"ummm....Luna?"
"Yes?"
"Where are my clothes?"
"They are being washed right now. Oh and don't worry, i had the servants do it." Avril was relieved. Something about the thought of Luna taking off her clothes.....
"So when do I get them back?" Avril asked timidly. Luna laughed out loud at her discomfort.
"Any minute now. Ah, speak of the devil!" Luna said as Avril's clothes were brought up. Avril snuck into the bathroom, not letting Luna see her. She got dressed and did her hair, then came out. Luna was momentarily stunned by Avril's appearance; jet black hair that was long with bangs over her face, with icy blue eyes, wearing a black tank top bearing the Valve® insignia across the chest. She was also wearing black skinny jeans and fingerless gloves that bore the Sniper's icon on the back. Avril had made the gloves herself, and were very satisfied as to how they looked. Luna shook out of it. How could she think this human was pretty like that? Even she wasn't completely sure.

Celestia was walking back to her royal chambers. It had been a long, long day, and she needed sleep. As she walked down the hallway to get to her chambers, she heard giggling, and it was coming from
"Luna's room! But that didn't sound like Luna at all" Celestia said to herself. She was now worried about her little sister. She quickly burst in the door. Luna was sitting down in her favorite gaming chair, which Celestia had bought along with Luna's computer as a welcome home gift. Celestia had wanted Luna to connect with other ponies through the internet ,but instead she spent all of her time on video games. That's Luna for you
"What's wrong Tia?" Luna asked.
"I heard a voice!" Celestia exclaimed. Suddenly, Avril came out of the bathroom, fully dressed. Celestia's jaw dropped. She, unlike Luna, knew what humans were, and what they looked like, but there was one in Luna's room?
"Oh, hello. You must be Luna's sister!" Avril said to they very shocked alicorn. Celestia thought about this: There was a human in Luna's bedroom, she just got dressed, Luna was obviously staring at her.......
"Luna, may i speak to you privately for a minute?"
"Sure!" Luna smiled at her sister, but inside, she was nervous. They went out into the hallway, and Celestia shut the door.
"What the hell were you thinking? Bringing a human here?"
"It was an accident! I didn't know! I don't even know how I did it!"
"And I don't know how to reverse this spell! I leave you alone for a little while and you-"
"I AM NOT A FILLY ANYMORE! I'm over one thousand fucking years old! Quite honestly, i am co-ruler and can do whatever the hell I damn well please! Yes, I accidentally teleported a human here, but she is really nice. Just get to know her before you judge weather she can stay or not." Celestia was shocked at Luna's sudden outburst. It was pretty out of character.
"Fine. I will let your friend stay, but only if I keep tabs on her. Not 24/7, as that would be invasion of privacy, but damnit Luna, keep her out of trouble, okay?"
"Deal. Now c'mon in and meet her" Luna said, happy that her sister had allowed her new friend to stay. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hello again Celestia! What's the verdict? Can I stay?" Celestia paused for a minute. As a princess she didn't get many chances to mess with poni...er people. She just stood there with a false glare, which was very convincing to Avril. She smiled and giggled a little.
"Of course! Human or otherwise, any friend of Lulu's is a friend of mine!" Luna huffed. She didn't much care for her sister using her pet name in front of others. Then again....
"Lulu? That's awesome! I was thinking of a cool name I could call Luna. Mind if I call her that too?"
"I don't if she doesn't." Celestia said, smirking at her little sister. Luna gave in.
"Sure, why not" she said, pouting slightly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So, how about some video games?" Avril asked.
"Well, I do have Haylo in at the moment. That okay with you?" Avril simply grinned her most devious, challenging grin.
"It is on!" Avril said. They picked up the controllers. They were adapted for hooves, so Avril had a bit of a hard time. Luna realized this, and adjusted the controller with her magic to make it more suitable for the human. It still wasn't the same as a plain Xbox controller but it was easier to navigate now. After a few minutes Avril adjusted.
"Now the fun begins!" Avril exclaimed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Approximately 5 hours later, they had beaten the campaign, played 2 matches of SWAT, and after drinking over 20 cups of apple cider, they were both really hungry. So Luna called in one of the servants to get them 2 salads. Avril wasn't a vegetarian, but she wasn't meat dependent either, so it wasn't that big of a deal when she realized she couldn't eat meat here, more just inconvenient. After eating their salads, Avril and Luna got to talking.
"So what's your world like?" Luna asked
"Cold, dark, irritating, filled with idiots, the list goes on."
"Dear me that sounds dreadful!" Luna said
"Yeah, it sucks, but I have good friends and family who always have my back." Avril really wished that was the truth. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Avril was walking home from school. It had been a long day, and she was a little pissed. The weather was bad, she had to put up with idiots all day, she failed another math test, and got detention for breaking some perverted guy's nose. She chuckled at the thought of punching him square in the nose. She realized she would hear from her parents about it, but it was worth it. She was tired of the guy slapping her ass and saying nasty stuff. Why did there have to be so many assholes at her school? Oh well, she had bigger things to worry about at the moment. She walked in the door. The first thing she saw was her mom, sitting on the couch, talking on the phone. She looked angry. Avril's couch was facing away from the door, so Avril got nothing more than a profile view of her distressed mother. Avrlil snuck upstairs into her room. She didn't know what she was going to do about the situation; the most she could do was talk to her mom and tell her about how the guy deserved it, but, no. That was a terrible idea; her mom was always one of those "no matter what they are doing, you can't resort to getting physical" kind of people. Oh well, time to face the music. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Avril, are you okay?" Luna asked
"What? Oh yeah, I'm good" Avril lied. She had a certain respect for Luna. She could tell Luna was lonely and wanted friends; it was practically written in neon on her face. That's one thing they had in common: loneliness.
"Okay, well, want to play more video games?" Luna said while smiling.
"No thanks Luna. If it's okay with you, I'd like to be alone right now"
"Oh" Luna said, badly masking disappointment. "Yeah that's.....that's fine".
"Luna, it's not your fault. I just got to thinking about my parents, and kinda want to finish said thought"
"You miss them?"
"Hell no! My mom's a total bitch, and my dad is an asshole! However, I do miss my little sister, Taylor. We always hung out together, just the two of us, when my parents were being worse than usual. She was my best friend."
"I know what it's like to be away from your sister. I was away from Tia for a thousand years.
"Holy shit! How old are you two?"
"Pretty old, but we are still young" she said with a laugh. Morning was coming now, so they woke up Celestia and went to bed. Luna went to sleep pretty fast, but Avril was up for a couple of hours. She thought about her mom, how she had just left her there. Granted she didn't have much of a choice. She could only imagine what was going on in Taylor's head at that moment. Probably just worried about me she thought to herself. She couldn't help but feel guilty about dismissing Luna like she did. Despite the fact that she had only known Luna for a short time, she was her best friend, her only friend. She wondered if Luna thought the same thing about her. She looked over at the alicorn sleeping a mere 3 inches away. She sighed Pony or otherwise, she is beautiful Avril thought. She stil wasn't sure what her exact feelings were about Luna. She is my best friend, but......would it...could it ever be more? Do I want more? Would it be wrong if I did? Avril sighed, and then covered her mouth with her hand, noticing Luna start to stir. She's adorable Avril thought as she drifted off to sleep.

Luna awoke to Celestia's hoof tapping on her head.
"What the heck? Oh, hello sister. Did I oversleep?
"No, Luna, I just wanted to talk to you about something"
"What's that sis?"
"How do you truly feel about this human?"
"She's......She's my best friend"
"Really? nothing more?"
"Nothing more" Luna said nervously
"Sister?" Celestia said, questioning the sincerity of her sister's words.
"I don't know Tia. I think.....I think I need time to think about it....about her" Luna said shakily
"You don't have to hide your feelings. While I don't understand how you could fall for a human, I have no problem with it, if that is what makes you happy, sister." She paused a moment, then said "I will leave you to your thoghts then. Make sure you have time for night court tonight, okay?"
"Okay Tia. Goodnight"
Celestia then left Luna's chambers. Luna tried to go back to sleep, but sleep wouldn't come. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't make her body rest. What was she feeling? She wasn't quite sure. Did it have something to do with Avril? She looked over at her sleeping friend. They had been comfortable in Luna's bed together, so that's how they stayed. But was there another reason? Luna sighed with minor frustration. She knew one thing for sure; she did not want to ruin her relationship with Avril. She slowly embraced Avril as she started to drift off to sleep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Avril woke up feeling something around her. She opened her eyes looked down And saw it Luna had wrapped her forelegs around Avril. Her stomach started doing flips. Did this mean what she thought it meant? No, it couldn't be..... Could it? Her head started spinning, and she started to feel giddy, as if she had butterflies in her stomach. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Luna woke up to her sister knocking on the door, saying it was time to raise the moon. She also realized Avril had turned towards her while she slept, instead of pushing her hooves off. This awoke Avril, who then blinked her eyes open.
"Hello" Avril said.
"Hello to you, too" Luna replied. They were close now, and getting closer, and then Avril got off the bed.
"I'm gonna get dressed"
"Okay" Luna said. She was very disappointed, a little hurt, and definitely sad. She thought Avril had feelings for her, but she didn't. Luna snapped herself out of it. She didn't want Avril to see her cry, after all. When Avril came out of the bathroom, she was, as always, wearing her gaming-themed gear.
"What's the matter Lulu?"
"Nothing"
"Oh, c'mon Lulu. I know when you are upset about something. Tell me what's wrong. Please?"
"It's nothing. Really. Besides, how could you possibly tell when I'm upset?"
"Well, when you are happy, your mane flows like it's on some kind of wind. But when you are upset, your mane stops flowing. That's how" Luna looked at her mane in the bedroom mirror. Avril was right, her mane wasn't flowing anymore. Luna turned towards Avril.
"Where is our friendship going?" she asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, when you first arrived, everything was really fun. Now it seems more awkward than anything else"
"What do you mean it "was" fun? Are you saying I'm not fun anymore?"
"No, not at all. I'm just saying it was different. Happier"
"Yeah, I know it was. Which brings me back to what's your problem lately?"
"I already told you. Nothing"
"You know, it really pisses me off that you think I'm stupid"
"I don't think you are stupid. Where would you get that idea?"
"Obviously you do if you expect me to believe that nothing is wrong with you"
"Okay! Fine! You want to hear the truth? I think I'm in love with you!" Avril was stunned; She had thought Luna liked her, but wasn't sure. Luna was put off when Avril didn't say anything.
"You know what? I would appreciate if you left my room. As a matter of fact, I'll arrange a transport out of Canterlot for you".
"But-but Luna, I-"
"I SAID GET OUT!" Luna yelled in her Canterlot voice. Avril stormed out, tearing up. She wasn't mad at Luna, her reaction was understandable, she was pissed off at herself for not saying anything. This girl she liked very much - possibly even loved- she just dismissed. She was full on crying now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Avril rode the train into ponyville, she was still crying. This was the first time in years that Avril had actually cried. She usually screamed and got pissed off, but this time silent melancholy tears were streaming down her face. How could this happen? Avril was never the naive type; she didn't believe in true love. In her mind, everyone just settled with the person they marry. Some relationships, lucky ones, worked, but most didn't. However, Luna had made her believe that kind of love exists. And now, she had hurt Luna. She felt so stupid and...oh wait, this was her stop. Avril felt around in her pockets, and realized she had her mp3 player and headphones with her. She put her headphones in, and listened to some music. She loved A Day To Remember; it was one her favorite bands, and their music had gotten her through a lot of rough patches, and this was definitely a rough patch. That's one thing she never got to do with Luna; just sit around doing absolutely nothing but talking and listening to good music.
"Hello! You must be the human! I'm Twilight Sparkle, what's your name?"
"Avril. Nice to meet you Twilight"
"Are you okay? Are you sick? If you are, can I study how humans get over-"
"I'm not sick! Just.....Where am I staying?"
"Oh, well, you have a choice of that actually. You can stay in the library with me and my dragon friend Spike, with my friend Applejack at Sweet Apple Acres, with Fluttershy at her cottage near the Everfree Forest, or, with some minor enchanting, at Rainbow Dash's cloud house"
"How about I get to know all of you first,, then I'll decide"
"Sounds fair. Follow me please". As they started walking towards the library, Avril turned to Twilight.
"How'd you know I'd be here?"
"Princess Luna sent me a letter informing us you were coming and needed a place to stay, along with a general overview of your preferences, so we could arrange it so you can live with someone you actually like" Avril had to look away from Twilight momentarily so she didn't see her tear up again. When she regained her composure, Avril looked back at a slightly confused Twilight.
"Is there something bothering you Avril?"
"No"
"Well, if there is-"
"There isn't"
"Well, if, theoretically, something became wrong, you can talk to me about it. You don't have to hide your feelings from me"
"Why would you care about my problems?"
"You are a friend of Luna's. And any friend of Luna's is a friend of mine" Twilight said smiling
"Actually there is something"
"What is it?" Avril explained her situation with Luna. She had left out most of the whole relationship drama thing, just saying that they had been having problems
"So you and the princess........?"
"Well, yes. I've had a crush on her for some time now. I wouldn't even be telling you, but I really need to get it all off my chest"
"Ah. Well, here we are!" Avril stepped inside, and was assaulted by a very pink, very exited pony.
"SUPRISE!!" Pinkie said. Avril just had to giggle at the sight of Pinkie in her piggy costume. Twilight explained to her that Pinkie was a foalsitter for her employers and roommates, the Cakes. Avril knew the feeling, she had babysat before. You had to do some pretty ridiculous stuff for those kids she thought to herself. For the first time since Luna had kicked her out, Avril smiled. Genuinely smiled. Maybe some good could come from this little break.
Avril was getting some of Pinkie's punch, which was the best she had ever had in her life! Man, ponies are awesome at making food and drinks Avril thought to herself. She then thought back to Luna, and teared up again.
"Hey, what's wrong with you?" a slightly hoarse voice piped up from behind her. She turned and saw a rainbow maned pony, sitting on her haunches staring up at her. She mentally had a daww moment.
"Oh, just thinking" Avril replied
"About the princess? Don't worry, if I know her at all, she will forgive you. You just need some time away from each other is all" Rainbow said. Then she realized Avril had no idea who she was. "By the way, my name's Rainbow Dash"
"Hello Rainbow Dash. I'm Avril. Hey, how did you know about me and the Princess?" She asked the pegasus
"Well, Twilight is like, one of my best friends, so it wasn't that hard to get it from her" she replied.
Avril chuckled. "Well, I guess it'll be hard to keep it a secret then, huh?"
Now it was Rainbow's turn to laugh. "If you were trying to keep it a secret, you're pretty bad at keeping secrets"
"Yeah, well. What's a girl to do? It's just my luck, too. I mean really, anytime you step into a magical world filled with equine inhabitants, then fall in love with one of their royals, you're gonna have a bad time" she said, laughing at her own lame joke. Rainbow, who was not familiar with the Internet, didn't get it. Man, now that I think of it, everything that has happened to me since I got to Equestria sounds like some angsty teen romance novel, written by some kid with no life. Like Twilight, but instead of vampires and werewolves, Ponies Avril thought to herself.
"What are you talking about?" Rainbow said to the human.
"I have no idea" she replied giggling. Suddenly they heard a voice coming from behind Avril.
"Dashie! Dashie! Come here! I have an idea a really super cool idea for a prank and I just know you will-" Rainbow Dash silenced Pinkie with a hoof.
"Slow down will ya? Geez, Pinkie, you're more hyper than usual. How much punch have you drank today?"
"Oh, you know just three or four"
"Three or four what?" Rainbow asked
"Gallons, silly!" Pinkie said, giggling and "booping" her friend on the muzzle. Avril was totally lost at this point. She looked around for Twilight, and found her pretty quickly. She was near the door talking to Rarity, presumably about living arrangements or clothes or something. Avril was terrible at reading human lips, so reading Twilight's or Rarity's would be pretty much impossible. She walked over to the two of them, and attempted to clear her throat, but ended up coughing instead. Rarity, having her back turned to Avril, nearly jumped out of her fur. She turned sharply to face whoever had coughed and scared her, only to see Avril there, blushing of embarrassment.
"Sorry to interrupt, Twilight, but I think I've decided on who I'll stay with until Lul- I mean Luna, cools off"
"That's great! So who have you decided on?"
"Well, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to stay with Rainbow Dash"
"What?" Rainbow Dash had been standing behind Avril when she heard that. Avril turned to face her.
"Twilight said I could choose a pony to stay with, and you seem like the kind of person, if you were a person that is, that I would love to hang out with." she said sheepishly. She was afraid Dash would refuse, and her nervousness had hit a peak right before Rainbow Dash started grinning.
"If you think you can handle living with the most awesome mare in Equestria, then be my guest. Literally." She said with a small giggle.

With that, Avril gathered the small amount of clothes she had. Rarity had suggested she stop by at Carousel Boutique sometime that week so Rarity could measure her and make her some more clothes. The only other outfit she had besides her gamer gear was a makeshift cobalt blue dress Luna had made for her as a joke. It was pretty, but not the kind of thing Avril wore without hurting whoever made it first. She frowned, once again thinking of Luna. How would she ever make it up to her. Oh well, at least she made some friends. Being locked away in the Canterlot castle doesn't do much for a girl's social life. The party wasn't quite over; there were still ponies there, but they were slowly leaving.
"I need some music. Hey Pinkie, can I put some music on?"
"Of COURSE! I bet you listen to some really really reaaally awesome music!" Pinkie said, excited. Avril walked up to the turntables.....Wait, were those there before? Oh well. Not surprisingly, they actually had a headphone jack hookup. I mean, they have computers, so why not headphones, right? Avril plugged in her phone and played Nine In The Afternoon by Panic! At The Disco. Everypony was dancing and having a good time, and so was Avril. She looked over at her new friends. Rainbow Dash motioned for Avril to dance with her. Avril had no idea how that would work, but whatever. She walked over to Dash and Pinkie, who then started to dance with her. It was a bit difficult, as the girls were a little bit smaller than Avril, but they had fun nonetheless.
"You know Avril, I have a feeling we will get along great" Rainbow Dash said.
"I think so too, Rainbow Dash" Avril replied. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Avril still missed Luna, but Dash assured her it wouldn't be long before it all blew over. Avril hoped she was right. At the same time, though, Dash was really fun to be around. Wait, where is my hairbrush
"Dash, did you steal my hairbrush again?" Avril yelled from the bathroom
"Nope" Rainbow Dash yelled back.
"Dash, where did you hide it this time?" Avril yelled in mock anger. Rainbow then trotted in with a smirk on her face.
"I didn't touch it" She said giggling.
"Dash, I need my hairbrush. What did you do with it" Avril said
"I already told you, I. Don't. Have. It" Dash said back
"Don't make me angry. You won't like me when I'm angry" Avril said, attempting to stare Dash down.
"Oh no! Avril's angry! What ever shall we do? Everypony, run!" Dash said, mocking Avril
"I swear, Rainbow, you are such a wretch. Fine, I'll use yours" Avril said, smirking.
"Oh no you don't!" Rainbow said, pushing Avril with her front hooves.
"Then give me mine!" Avril said
Rainbow regarded Avril's statement thoughtfully. "Fine, darn it all, here you go" Dash said, removing the black and purple hairbrush from her left wing. Avril then flipped Dash over and started to tickle her hooves.
"NO NO NO NO! STOP IT! STOP IT! I CAN'T TAKE IT!" Rainbow yelled, giggling madly
"Promise you won't hide my hairbrush anymore?"
"YES! YES! I PROMISE! JUST STOP TICKLING ME!" Dash said, still giggling. Avril let her go.
"I hate it when you do that!" Rainbow said, faking anger while getting back on her hooves.
Avril had been in Equestria for some time now, but she was still surprised at just how much the technology there resembled that of human tech. Of course it made sense though, ponies here are just as smart, if not smarter, than humans are, so it stands to reason that with similar intelligence comes similar technology and culture. If Avril had never seen a pony from Equestria, but had talked to one, she would've thought they were human. None of that mattered now, she had already fallen in love with a princess, had a terrible fight with said princess, and moved into a cloud house with the coolest rainbow maned pegasus ever. She still loved Luna, of course, but Dash had become her best friend. She had no romantic feelings for Dash, but she could see how someone else could easily fall for the cyan pegasus. Avril loved hanging out with her, either at home, or just... Home. That's what this had become. Not just Dash's house, but Equestria. This was home. When's the last time I even thought about my family? Avril thought to herself. It had been a long time. She got so caught up in raising hell with Dash and Pinkie that she had literally forgotten about them. Avril was brought out of her thoughts when Dash walked into her bedroom.
"Hey! Me and Pinkie are going out for some fun. Wanna join us?" Dash asked with a grin
"Hell yeah! What are we doing today?" Avril asked
"Probably some pranking, eating, and anything else we think of. I got my paycheck today from cloudbusting, and Pinks got paid big for her last foalsitting job, so we've got bits to burn"
"Sounds great! Let's go!" Twilight had enabled Avril to walk on clouds, but she still couldn't fly, so Dash had set up a sort of cloud elevator for her to use. A bit strange, maybe, but effective. They headed out to downtown Ponyville where they met up with Pinkie.
"Hey girls! Are you to ready for some super duper awesome fun?" "Totally! Today's gonna be a blast!" Dash exclaimed. This hadn't been the first time the villagers had seen Avril, so she knew they wouldn't have a problem with her, so she was actually comfortable going into town nowadays. Matter of fact, she had found a friend in a local flower stand owner named Roseluck, who she talked to often.
After their fun filled day in town, the three headed off to Twilight's house. Spike was gone for a few days, so Twilight had invited all of her friends, including Avril, to a slumber party. It was the first slumber party Avril attended, well the first one where the rest of the girls didn't tease her the entire night anyways. Dash lead the way, and knocked on Twilight's door to signal their arrival. They were greeted by Twilight herself, who practically squeed at their arrival.
"Hey girls! Applejack, Rarity, and Fluttershy are already here, just make yourselves comfortable" she said, grinning. The three walked inside and said hi to everybody, then took a seat on a couch Twilight only dragged out once in blue moon. "Howdy Avril! How's life at RD's place?" "Pretty great! You know, if you can get past the fact Dash likes taking my stuff" Avril said, shooting a look at Dash and grinning. "I don't know what you're talking about" Rainbow said teasingly. "So Fluttershy, how are the animals?" Avril asked "Oh...umm they're fine" Fluttershy replied. She still hadn't completely warmed up to Avril yet. Suddenly, Twilight got up and ran to the kitchen with nothing more than a "Oh Ponyfeathers!", which made Dash and Pinkie giggle. She came back with a bowl of what used to be popcorn. "I think you overdid a bit, darling" Rarity said with a slight grin "Eh, shit happens, right Twi?" Avril said in an attempt to cheer her up, as she seemed a bit frazzled over the ruined snack. It worked, and Twilight cracked a smile. "You're right, I shouldn't get so worked up. I just wanted to make a snack for you guys, but I completely forgot while I was preparing for your arrival" "Don't sweat it, Twi, we could always make more" Dash said, smiling "That reminds me; who wants some cider?" Applejack asked. "I wouldn't mind some" Fluttershy said happily "Oooooh, yes! I love cider! It's so yummy and applelicious, and sweet and-" "We get it Pinkie" Rainbow said, stuffing a forehoof into the pink mare's mouth. After a couple of seconds, she removed it "Sure AJ, I'm always up for cider" she said to Applejack Applejack had brought over a large keg of it that Twilight stored in her kitchen. She and Twilight both retrieved mugs of cider for the rest of the girls. "This is some of my familly's harder stuff, so might wanna take it slow" Applejack said, taking a sip of her own. Unfortunatly, nobody really heeded her warning, and they all finished of the cider pretty quickly. About an hour or so, they all had quite the buzz going, including Avril, who had never actually gotten drunk before. Pretty soon they were all giggling uncontrollably at the slightest things, especially Rarity, who "swore to drunk she wasn't Celestia". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Avril woke up on Twilight's floor the next day with quite the hangover. She didn't remember much about the night before, but she noticed two things: 1. She was naked, with only a blanket on her. 2.She was cuddling up with Rainbow Dash. "Fuck" was all she could manage to say
