> Lego World Adventures > by markzilla6895 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The Beginning > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The human version of Twilight Sparkle breathed deeply and adjusted her glasses. It was Saturday and that meant only one thing: Her friends were coming over to play with her Lego sets. As the minute hand on her watch reached the twelve, marking eight AM had arrived, the basement door opened as if on cue. Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy headed down the stairs, each one carrying a large box. "Um, did I miss a memo or something?" Twilight asked, a little dumbfounded. "Oh, right," Rarity began. "We thought it be a little more fun if we brought some of our own Legos to play with." "Plus, you did say you wanted to throw in more universes," Applejack added, setting one of the boxes down and opening it. Twilight peered inside to see several buildings such as a skyscraper top and a castle inside. "So why did you bring these buildings?" She asked, pulling out the skyscraper, which had a large balcony as the centerpiece. "Because the Avengers need their base, silly!" Pinkie grinned, opening her box which contained numerous accessories. "Wait, Avengers? As in the comic book team?" Twilight was surprised as Applejack set the Avengers Tower roof on top of one of the skyscrapers in the Canterlot City model. "Right here, darling," Rarity pulled out a figure from her box, which happened to be one of Iron Man. "I also have some extra vehicles," Rainbow Dash opened her box and placed several vehicles onto the roads. They included the Batmobile, both versions of the Ghostbusters car, the TARDIS and the Mystery Machine. "And I brought the animals," Fluttershy placed several cute looking animal figures in the city's park. "Aha! Found him!" Rarity declared as she pulled out the minifigure she was looking for. The purple skinned girl saw she was holding an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog with red feet. "Sonic the Hedgehog?" She sweat-dropped, as she did not expect Sonic to be Rarity's first choice to play with. "We took a vote on who to play with first," the fashion designer explained. "Sonic won," Rainbow Dash grinned as she snatched the hedgehog from her friend and placed him right by Canterlot Mountain. Morning had come in the Lego World. Though at the moment, it did not look like morning as the sky was dark and a giant blue portal had appeared in the sky, apparently directly over Canterlot Mountain, home of the base of Canterlot City's Lego Team. "Should we be prepared, Ms. Playwell?" An aide asked the multicolored haired woman. "Perhaps," Celestia replied. "Best to get the Lego Team to investigate it though." "I have already called them, ma'am." Soon The seven minifigs were at the base of the mountain, looking up at the portal. "Did Celestia say what caused this, Sunset?" Rarity asked the team leader, a girl with red and yellow hair, pale yellow skin and a determined look on her face. "She did not, but we need to be prepared for whatever comes out." As soon as she said it, a bright blue light shot out of the portal. The Lego Team went wide-eyed as they realized the light was heading towards them! Jumping out of the way, the object crashed into the ground, tearing up the pieces along the way. "Ow..." a male voice groaned from the new crater. The Lego Team peeked inside to see the new person was not a person at all, but a blue anthro hedgehog. "Celestia is not gonna believe this..." Twilight stared in disbelief as the newcomer straightened himself and turned around. "...what nightmare has Eggman sent me to?" he muttered to himself as he saw the the seven girls with different skin colors. "Hello," Sunset began. "Welcome to Canterlot City, my name is Sunset Shimmer." She held out her hand in welcome. The stranger nervously shook it as she helped him out of the crater. "Did you come out of the sky?" Pinkie Pie asked, gently poking the spines on his head. "Hey, cut it out!" The hedgehog said defensively, jumping away slightly. "Don't mind Pinkie," Rainbow Dash grinned. "She likes to greet new people up close." "I don't think we got your name though," Rarity looked up and down at the stranger. "I'm Sonic! Sonic the Hedgehog!" His claw hand did an equivalent of a thumbs up. The Lego Team looked dumbfounded at the introduction, except Rainbow Dash, who was grinning. "I like his style!" The rainbow-haired minifig stated as more lights came from the portal, each one flying off in different directions. "Wait, more visitors?!" Twilight fell to her knees in shock. "We're going to be really busy, aren't we?" "Looks that way, but hey, we've saved the Lego World multiple times," Rainbow Dash cracked her knuckles. "Not to mention we got these new superpowers after that incident with Gloriosa." She then dashed off towards the city, leaving a rainbow trail behind. "This just got interesting," Sonic smirked as he ran off after her, a blue streak following him. Everyone else's jaws were hanging comically at the sight of Sonic's speed. "...did anyone see what I just saw...?" Twilight's left eye began to twitch as buildings and vehicles began to fall out of the portal as well. Sonic had caught up to Rainbow Dash in the middle of Canterlot City as a skyscraper roof gently set itself on top of one of the buildings. This one had a large balcony with the letter A on the side. "Looks like some new neighbors are dropping in," Rainbow Dash looked at Sonic. "Hey, you're pretty fast. Wanna have a little race while we wait for the others?" "You're on!" The blue hedgehog grinned. But before either of them could take off, another large shape's shadow overlooked them. "Oh, ho, ho!" A familiar voice chuckled. "If it isn't Sonic!" The two speedsters turned around to see a large egg-shaped flying vehicle lower itself towards them. Piloting it was a man whose body was shaped like an egg. He wore dark blue glasses that hid his eyes, goggles on his bald head and a red uniform. His most distinguishing feature however, was his large brown mustache. "Look, it's a giant talking egg!" Rainbow Dash snickered. "Silence!" The man furiously stated. "I am Dr. Eggman, the greatest scientific genius in the world!" Rainbow Dash began to laugh harder at the man's name. "Sure, whatever you say 'Eggman!'" She was on her back now, still laughing. "ENOUGH!" Eggman slammed his fists onto the controls of his vehicle, causing it to shake. "I have big plans ahead, and now I am going to put them to work!" "Yeah, yeah, what is it you want this time, Eggface?" Sonic shrugged as Eggman turned his transport around. "Why, all of the Chaos Emeralds! Better not interfere, OR ELSE!" He then pushed a button on the control panel, causing a bigger vehicle to rise up from behind him. It had four jets on its back and two stinger-like protrusions on the front. The doctor moved his Eggmobile into the vehicle, locking it in. "Behold, the Egg Hornet!" He declared. "Now to crush you and your new friend!" He quickly had the vehicle dive towards Sonic and Rainbow Dash. Both blue heroes dived out of the way, causing it to get stuck in the ground. "I got this one, Sonic," Rainbow Dash quickly zoomed towards Eggman and punched him right in the face, causing the Egg Hornet to take damage. "You're not going to get away with this!" The villain growled as the rest of the Lego Team showed up. "Okay, WHO is that?" Applejack adjusted her hat a little. "Some guy who calls himself Eggman," Rainbow Dash said bluntly. The other members snickered a little at the name. "I will not be mocked!" Dr. Eggman growled as he pressed another button, releasing several missiles from the back of the Egg Hornet. Rarity quickly put up her diamond shields, deflecting the projectiles back at their source. The Egg Hornet spattered and shuddered before finally blowing to pieces, leaving only the Eggmobile and its pilot. "Grrrrrrr, where did someone like you learn that?!" He asked angrily. "Magic," Sunset said smugly, causing Eggman's face to falter a little. "This is why I hate magic..." he said to himself as he flew towards the outskirts of Canterlot City. "You sure that guy was a villain?" Rainbow Dash asked Sonic. "He seemed more like a joke to me." "Well, I have stopped him every single time," the blue hedgehog rubbed the back of his head. "Hey, what if you joined the Lego Team, Sonic?" Sunset offered. "We could use someone of your speed." "Lego Team? Is that like the Freedom Fighters?" "Pretty much, as we help preserve order in the Lego World," Fluttershy explained. "Sounds like a plan till I can find a way back home," the blue hedgehog shook Sunset's hand again. Pinkie Pie cheered as confetti fired from out of nowhere. "Another member of the Lego Team!" She began to drag the group back to Canterlot Mountain. Elsewhere, in a darkened room, a group of shadowy figures were watching the Lego Team's victory through a cauldron. "Those girls took down that machine like it was nothing," a man wearing a curved horned helmet mused with interest. He was also carrying a staff with a glowing blue gem inside. "Who would have thought?" "Such is the power of the magic," a woman with long hair and a three-pointed crown replied. Her body seemed to have holes in it, making parts of her body see-through. "Their strength is not their own." "Why don't we turn them against each other?" A portly woman laughed. The lower half of her body appeared to be octopus tentacles. "That'll settle things quick enough." "And the brats' new friend happens to be powerful as well," a man with a pirate captain's hat stated. In place of his left hand was a large metal hook. "Swoggle me eyes, they're all bilge rats by the looks of them!" "You're no prize yourself!" A male voice interjected. This one had wild hair, a goatee and a slender male body. On his mouth, a large fang was visible. He laughed at his own joke. "Shut up!" The pirate angrily brandished his hook at the man. "Enough," a new female voice interrupted the arguing. The group turned their heads to see their leader had arrived. She wore a black robe with purple highlights, a headdress that resembled devil horns and carried an ornate staff with a green jewel on it. The most unsettling feature about her however, was her sickly green skin. "The magic has chosen them. Will it be them that conquers the darkness? Or will it be the darkness that swallows them? Either way, they will be of use to us." > The Guardian of the Emeralds > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canterlot Lego Team Headquarters Sonic stood before Celestia Playwell, head of this region's Lego Team. He and his new teammates had just finished telling her what had occurred a few hours ago. "So this Dr. Eggman," the female minifig began. "He has attempted to conquer your world multiple times?" "Yeah, by capturing animals and imprisoning them inside robots." "That's horrible!" Fluttershy gasped in shock. "Why would he do that?" "Because he finds them as a cheap battery. Recently, he tried to use a gigantic space station known as the Death Egg to conquer the world. I stopped him, naturally." "Well, aside from you and Eggman, it would appear more things have come from that portal," Celestia continued, turning on the video screen on the other side of her office. It showed a new city forming itself on an island. "Wait, even cities are coming out?" Applejack scratched her head in confusion. "How in tarnation could they even fit through there?" "Probably the buildings are being sent in brick-by-brick?" Twilight offered a theory. "Then neatly reassemble themselves on the other side." "In any case, the city you have just seen is called Gotham and is home to the vigilante known as..." "BATMAN!" Pinkie Pie squealed. "...what Pinkie said," Celestia sighed. "Wait, we're forgetting something!" Rainbow Dash pointed out. "Eggman said he was looking for some things called the..." "Chaos Emeralds," Sonic finished. "They're the most powerful artifacts from my world." "How powerful?" Celestia asked with worry in her voice. "What's the most powerful thing you have here?" "Um, I think the closest would be the Elements of Harmony," Sunset guessed after giving it some thought. "Well, take those and multiply their power by ten." Everyone's eyes went wide at that analogy. "Girls, I think we all now know what your next mission will be," the Lego Team head stated. "We sure do, ma'am!" Sunset replied. "Find the Chaos Emeralds before they fall into the wrong hands." "So a scavenger hunt then," Rainbow Dash sighed. "For gems," Rarity was starry-eyed now. "But Ah suppose ya know where to look?" Applejack asked the blue hedgehog. "Not exactly, but I know someone who can... that is, if he was brought here as well..." "Who?" Celestia leaned in closer. "Well, have you had any reports of a building with this emblem on it?" He quickly sketched a symbol of a circle with two yellow fox tails in the center. "As a matter of fact, we have," Celestia switched the channel of the video screen. It now showed an image of what appeared to be a small house attached to an aircraft hanger. It was located on a cliff overlooking the sea, nearby the entrance to a jungle. "This is from our Mystic Ruins," the Lego Team head explained. "It's not far from here. You can take the train, if you want." "Then that's where we'll find Tails!" Sonic zoomed out of the office. "'Tails?'" Twilight chuckled a little. "What kind of name is that?" "This coming from the girl named 'Twilight Sparkle?'" Applejack smirked. "Point made," she adjusted her glasses before starting to head out of the building. "There's one last thing I need to show you girls," Celestia interrupted. She switched screen's channel again. It now showed the image of what appeared to be an island... floating in midair? "This was sighted near the Mystic Ruins as well. It would be best to investigate it as well." Soon After taking the train from Canterlot City to the Mystic Ruins, the Lego Team began to search for the home of Sonic's friend known as "Tails." "So what's the story of this place anyway?" Sonic yawned as they walked towards the cliffs. "Well, there have been signs of an ancient civilization in the nearby jungle," Twilight explained. "The most interesting discovery was a mostly intact pyramid right near the edge of a cliff." "So this friend of yours," Sunset began, changing the subject. "Can he really help us find the Chaos Emeralds?" "Yeah, Tails is a mechanical genius, and he has a device that detects Chaos Emerald energy." "I think I see it!" Pinkie Pie pointed excitedly at a small building on the cliff. Sonic and Rainbow Dash zoomed towards it, stopping at the door at the same time. Sonic quickly knocked on the door. It then opened to revealed a yellow-furred, two-tailed fox minifigure looking sleepy-eyed. "Whatever it is you're selling, I'm not interested," the fox rubbed his eyes. "Tails, it's me," Sonic stated bluntly. The sound of his voice immediately perked up the fox. "Sonic!" Tails sounded more excited now. "You made it to this world too?!" He then saw Rainbow Dash looking bored. "Who's she?" "Just a new friend I made," Sonic smirked. "Hey, name's Rainbow Dash." "I'm Miles Prower, but everyone calls me Tails." He then turned around to show off his twin tails. "Oh, because of those, right," Rainbow Dash blinked a few times in surprise. "Can you wait for us next time," Twilight grumbled as the others caught up with the two. "A two-tailed fox?!" Fluttershy zoomed over to Tails in excitement. "I've never seen one like you before!" She rubbed his tails gently, causing him to blush slightly. "Fluttershy, I think you should let go of him now," Rarity chuckled nervously. "So Sonic here says you can help us find the Chaos Emeralds?" Sunset asked the young fox. "I sure can! I actually already found one!" He held up a large green gem in his hand. "It's so pretty..." Rarity reached out to touch it before Tails quickly pulled it away. "These things can be dangerous if used improperly. It's why I built this!" He pointed to a machine inside his workshop. It had a large viewing window and a door on the side. He quickly opened the door and placed the Emerald inside. "...how old are you?" Twilight's glasses fell a little as shock took over again. "Eight." "EIGHT?!" The whole Lego Team asked in unison. "Tails is one of the brightest minds I know," Sonic playfully rubbed his best friend's head. "Do you... think we could see that Emerald again?" Fluttershy asked. "Well, I don't see any harm in doing so," Tails opened the machine and took out the Chaos Emerald. He held it closer for the Lego Team to see. "That's just... perfect," Fluttershy now spoke in a male voice and evilly grinned. She suddenly released a large blast from her hands, knocking everyone down and quickly swiped the Emerald from Tails. "Fluttershy?" Sunset's mouth hung open at this betrayal. "Oh, I wouldn't mind her," the fake Fluttershy began to levitate and her appearance began to warp. Twilight was in shock as a male minifig wearing a curved horned helmet, ornate armor and cloak, and was carrying a staff with a glowing blue gem on the top. "A spy!" Rainbow Dash charged at the person, only to fall flat. "You lowly worms are helpless against Loki of Asgard," the man boasted as he tossed the Chaos Emerald in his hand. "The leader will be most pleased to have this." He then teleported away, leaving the Lego Team stunned. "Wait, Loki's a villain in this?" Human Twilight Sparkle asked, pausing the story she and her friends were acting out on her Lego set. "Well, he is one of the most popular villains," Rarity explained. "Plus, he is technically a Disney villain!" Pinkie Pie added. "Can we get back to the story?" Rainbow Dash impatiently groaned. "Right, right, sorry," Twilight sighed as they returned to the scene in the Mystic Ruins. "Well, that sucked," Lego Rainbow Dash winced as she slowly got up onto her feet, despite the pain still being there. "Yeah, that blast was stronger than what we're used to..." Sunset yelped as she felt the pain in her back increase a little when she began to sit up. They then saw Fluttershy running up to them. "Sorry I wasn't here!" She panted. "I was having a nice conversation with some birds." "Well, while you were gone, some guy impersonated you and stole our Chaos Emerald!" Applejack strained as she willed herself to stand up. "Oh, dear, let me take care of that," she ran over to the fallen cowgirl and placed her hand on her leg. She closed her eyes as her hands began to glow. The feeling of pain in Applejack quickly began to subside. "Since when can ya heal?" "I-I don't know, it began a couple days ago when one of my animals was injured." Before she could continue, a loud scream got her attention. "Rarity?!" "MY HAIR! WHERE'S MY HAIR?!" The white-skinned minifig's head was now bald as her purple hairpiece was missing. "Um, I think I got it..." Tails' muffled voice spoke up as they saw Rarity's hair was now stuck to his face. Rarity marched over to Tails, even though it hurt with every step, and quickly snatched it, placing it back on her head. Soon "Loki said he had a leader," Sunset mused once everyone had been healed. "Could that mean there's more than just Eggman looking for the Chaos Emeralds? Or could he be working for Eggman?" "My Emerald Radar!" Tails shouted as he rummaged through his workshop. "He stole the Emerald Radar! Without it, we can't find the rest of the Emeralds!" "Oh, come on!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "What does the universe have against us today?!" "Wait a minute..." Tails looked up at the sky as a smile began to form on his face. "I got a Plan B!" "What is it, Tails?" Fluttershy asked. "Angel Island is nearby, we can ask Knuckles for help!" The fox genius exclaimed. "...why are these names so weird?" Sunset sighed as they followed Tails to the hanger connected to his house. Inside, he revealed a red biplane. "The Tornado can fly all of us up there," he explained, hopping into the pilot's seat. "You all may wanna hang on to the wings." "Me, Fluttershy and Twilight can get there ourselves," Rainbow Dash smirked as a pair of pegasus wings emerged from her back and pointed ears emerged on the top of her head. Twilight and Fluttershy did the same with their own bodies. "Fascinating..." Tails mused as the non-flyers climbed onto the Tornado's wings. "Is everyone secured?" "Eeyup," Applejack nodded. Tails started the plane's engine as the hanger doors opened. "Take off!" The Tornado began to move down the runway before taking flight at the edge. Rainbow, Fluttershy and Twilight followed closely behind as they ascended towards the floating island that was now above them. "Okay, the shrine should be.... there!" Tails guided the plane towards a smaller isle connected to the larger one by a wooden bridge. In the center of this smaller island was an ancient shrine holding an even larger green gem. Rarity looked at it with awe. "Don't even think about it, Rarity," Applejack warned as the plane landed near the shrine. In front of the gem was a red anthro echidna. The spine on his head resembled dreadlocks and he wore gloves with two spikes on each. Sonic leaped off the plane's wing and dashed to the minfig. "Yo, Knux, what's happening?" He fist bumped the echidna. "Besides being warped to this new world, not much." He then saw the others approaching. "They with you?" He clenched his fists for a fight. "Yeah, they're cool." "Hello there, my name is Twilight Sparkle, and we... kinda need your help..." she sheepishly said. "Knuckles," the echidna replied. "Last of my kind and Guardian of the Master Emerald." "'Master Emerald?'" Rarity slowly tried to reach out to the giant gem, before Knuckles slapped her hand away. "No one touches it!" He angrily yelled. "He takes his Guardian duties a little too seriously," Sonic whispered to her. "Especially after Eggman tricked him into thinking we were the bad guys." "Hey, I thought we agreed to never speak of that again!" Knuckles growled. "Well, we kinda need your help finding the Chaos Emeralds," Tails explained. "Some guy with a horned helmet stole my Radar and the Emerald I found." "Well, I wish I could help, but I need to guard the Master Emerald. Without it, this island would fall." "Then it's a good thing I'm not stealing it!" Dr. Eggman's voice interrupted as his Eggmobile swooped in and fired a missile at the large gem, shattering it. "NO!" Knuckles screamed as the shards of the gem began to fly all off in different directions. The ground began to rumble as Eggman flew off. "S-Skyquake!" Pinkie Pie said as her voice vibrated. "It's not that," Knuckles had panic in his voice now. "Without the Master Emerald's power, this whole island is falling!" "Back to the Tornado!" Tails ordered as the flying members of the Lego Team quickly took off. The Tornado managed to get off the island just as it crashed into the ocean. "Well, looks like I'll be joining you guys after all," Knuckles said, clenching his fists. "I gotta find all the Master Emerald shards before it's too late." "How can ya find them? There were hundreds of them!" Applejack looked with skepticism. "I can... sense their energies, to put it simply." "That's why I wanted to ask for his help in the first place," Tails explained. "The Master Emerald and Chaos Emeralds share similar energy signatures." "I just hope no one tries to take over my island while I'm gone..." Knuckles sighed. Back at the Emerald Shrine, drops of water began to come from the shattered Master Emerald. The droplets quickly merged into a large puddle that slowly began to take form as two yellow eyes in its center watched the departing plane. > The Valley of Wind > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In a hidden base, Dr. Eggman was putting the final Lego brick on his latest robot. Its body was mostly red, except for its feet, shoulders and hands which were black. The legs resembled a walker robot's and on the left side of its torso was a searchlight. In place of its right hand was a large blaster gun. Its head was yellow with green eyes that had turned out. "Excellent!" The mad doctor grinned at his handiwork. The robot looked around in curiosity. "Look at me! I am your brilliant creator, Dr. Eggman! You are the second of my E-100 model machines. E-102! Code name: Gamma!" "Gamma," the robot acknowledged in a monotone voice. "That's right! You will now obey only me!" Eggman headed towards one of the doors in his base, motioning Gamma to follow him. Gamma stepped off his creation area and approached the door. "The shooting range is through this door," the doctor explained. "Your big brother, E-101 Beta, is in there practicing. Enter, Gamma! You're not as advanced as Beta is, but you'll do just fine." The robot entered the door, and readied his blaster. As he proceeded down the shooting range, numerous dolls resembling Tails and Knuckles popped out from hatches in the floor and walls. Gamma quickly took aim and fired his blaster hand at all the dolls targeted, destroying them. "Destroy the Sonic doll!" Dr. Eggman's voices ordered from the loudspeakers. Gamma eventually reached the last room where a crude doll of Sonic was moving back and forth from an overhead rail. Gamma shot several times at the target, blasting it to pieces. "Mission complete," Gamma droned as he headed to the exit. "Good job, Gamma!" Eggman said as his latest creation exited the shooting range. "I didn't think you had what it takes! Now for your real test! If you want to stay on board, you must be able to pass it! So pay attention to what I say! The almighty Egg Carrier is a flying fortress that needs a good crew! Come forth, Beta!" A black robot that resembled Gamma leaped down to join the others. However, this one had blaster cannons on both arms. "I'd like you to meet your older brother, E-101. Just call him Beta. I'm pitting the two of you against each other, and the winner serves on my ship! I put my bets on Beta, but I owe you at least a fair chance." Beta readied his cannon arms, while Gamma aimed his blaster hand. Beta made the first move by firing several rounds of missiles, which Gamma easily destroyed with his own shots. He then targeted his older "brother" and fired three shots at him, knocking him down. "Oh, ho, ho!" Eggman clapped. "You surprised me, Gamma! I had a funny feeling there was more to you than meets the eye! I hereby grant Gamma permission to serve aboard the Egg Carrier!" Beta then stood in front of his creator in a protesting manner. "What? So you want to come along with us, eh?" Beta stepped in front of Gamma, blocking the red robot from Eggman's view. "Okay, okay... We could always use a spare set of parts, I guess. You have special permission." The two E-100 robots followed their creator to his hanger where numerous robots were looking at a huge instruction booklet and were building a giant flying battleship from the numerous Lego bricks strewn about the hanger. "This is where the Egg Carrier is being built based on the instructions that I made!" The fat doctor exclaimed proudly. "Once it is built, I will use it conquer the world, with or without the Chaos Emeralds!" Sonic and Rainbow Dash were at Tails' workshop, observing the strange green gemstone on the house's porch. The Lego Team and Team Sonic had agreed to split up into teams of two so it would make the hunt for both the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald shard go more quickly. "So what exactly are we supposed to do with this?" Rainbow Dasha asked impatiently. "Tails said he had found it while exploring and wanted us to see where it goes," her partner explained. "Though I wish we had a lead on where to go..." He was suddenly cut off by an excited female voice. "SONNNNICCCCC!!!" A pink blur tackled the hedgehog. Rainbow Dash got into a battle stance before seeing the "attacker" was a female pink hedgehog. She wore a red dress, red boots and a red hairband on her head. "Sonic, I finally found you!" "A-Amy! Too tight!" Sonic choked out from the hug the pink hedgehog was giving him. "Um, care to introduce her, Sonic?" Rainbow Dash chuckled nervously as Amy looked at her with fire in her eyes. "Who wants to know?" Amy growled in jealousy before turning back to Sonic. "Are you seeing her?!" "It's not like that!" Sonic pleaded. "Plus, there's no way I would be in a romantic relationship with a human!" "Well, that is a good point," Amy got off of him. "I mean, can you imagine how angry people would be if that ever happened?" "I... have no idea what's going on anymore..." Rainbow Dash adjusted her hairpiece. "Oh, well, my name is Amy Rose," the pink hedgehog shook her hand, the hostility she exhibited a few moments ago now nonexistent. "Um, Rainbow Dash," the Lego Team member returned. "Say, are you normally that fast?" "Uh-Huh! If I wanna keep up with Sonic, I gotta be in shape," she looked at Sonic with hearts in her eyes. "How about we spar a little then?" Dash smirked. "You're on!" Amy raised her guard as Rainbow Dash charged at full speed. Right before she could make contact however, Amy pulled out a large yellow mallet and smacked her with it, sending the rainbow-haired girl flying towards the rock wall across from Tails' workshop. "...did not see that coming..." she said dizzily before falling to the ground. Amy giggled and did a cute twirl before running to help her new friend up. "Thanks," Dash smiled. "You sure do pack a punch with that hammer." "Thanks, Rainbow Dash. So what are you guys doing?" "We're investigating this for Tails," Sonic explained, bringing the green gem to her. "Wait..." Amy said after looking at it for a little bit. "I've seen these markings before." "Where?" Dash asked excitedly. "This way!" Amy led them to a cave that was near a lake that was right next to the jungle entrance. At the end of the cave was a large vertical tunnel that had a pedestal right next to it. The pedestal has an groove that the stone base of the gem fit perfectly in. Sonic placed the stone into the hole, which caused the tunnel to begin blowing wind upwards. The current began to strengthen as Rainbow Dash was beginning to be sucked towards it. "Whoa! Sonic, help!" She reached her arm out for him to grab. "Let me help!" Amy tackled Sonic, causing them both to hit Rainbow Dash and all three were sent upwards. "WHOAAAAAA!!!!" Sonic screamed as they were sent flying high into the air. They soon landed in what appeared to be ruined buildings high above the jungle. "Whoa, did not know this was here..." Rainbow Dash looked across the horizon and saw a large tornado in the middle of the ruins. "So any ideas how to get back down?" Amy sheepishly asked, while Sonic glared at her. "Well, I guess we could head to the end of these ruins," Dash suggested, as she began to run towards a nearby wooden bridge. Sonic followed closely while Amy brought up the rear. Rainbow Dash suddenly stopped as the path suddenly came to an end. "Well, this sucks..." "Not quite, Rainbow," Sonic smirked as he ran off the edge and was suddenly running along an invisible path being made by the wind! Rainbow Dash took a deep breath and repeated her companion's actions, followed by Amy. Soon all three had reached the other side and were now very close to the tornado. "If we're gonna continue on, we gotta..." the Lego Team member gulped. "...jump into that tornado." The trio quickly dashed towards the vortex and were caught up in it. They then landed on a floating platform being held aloft somehow by the wind. "Hey, Dash, think you can fly us out of here?" Sonic asked. "'Fly?' I haven't seen her fly at all," Amy straightened her hairpiece. Rainbow Dash smirked before making her pony wings and ears appear. "...I stand corrected." The rainbow-haired minfig grabbed the two hedgehogs and flew out the top of the twister. She then landed on a large spiraling track. At the bottom was the path back to the Mystic Ruins. "Race ya there!" Sonic grinned as he zoomed down the track. "Oh, it's on!" Rainbow smirked as she raced after him. "...and I'll just follow you guys..." Amy sighed as she ran at a slower speed. Soon, they had reached the bottom of the track. That's when Sonic noticed something else was there besides the exit. "Whoa, is that...?" Rainbow asked as Sonic picked up the small yellow jewel. "Another Chaos Emerald!" Sonic tossed it in his hand casually. "We're one step closer to saving the world!" He then handed it to Rainbow Dash, who placed it in her bag for safekeeping. "One down, five more to go. Then we can go get the one that Loki guy stole." In the same shadowy lair, the council of villains were observing the trio's victory. "The hedgehog is becoming a problem," the queen snarled, now revealing her skin was dark green and her long hair was teal. Her mouth was lined with fangs. "He helped them find one of the Chaos Emeralds." "Fear not," the leader said. "It will take ages for them to find the rest. Besides, they are blissfully unaware of our other plan." "Yes, harnessing the power of the god of destruction," the octopus woman agreed. "The Emeralds are falling into our hands one by one," the witch smiled evilly as Loki emerged from the shadows, holding the green Chaos Emerald. "Speaking of which..." > Detectives You Want On Your Side > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rarity and Pinkie Pie had returned to Canterlot City in the hopes of finding another Chaos Emerald and possibly some Master Emerald shards. However, it was beginning to rain as soon as they left the train station. What was unusual about the rain was that it wasn't water falling, but rather... chocolate milk? "Yummy!" Pinkie opened her mouth wide to swallow as much rain as possible. "Pinkie, this is no time to be goofing around," Rarity pulled out her umbrella and dragged her companion along. "We need to find those Emeralds before that ruffian Loki does." "So why did we come back here?" "I saw one of the shards fly towards the city when that Master Emerald shattered," Rarity looked up in annoyance. "Although the bigger question is why it's raining chocolate milk." "INCOMING!" An excited child's voice shouted, catching Rarity off-guard. A small yellow thing bumped into her, causing her to drop her umbrella and becoming soaked in the sweet drink. "My perfectly good dress!" She complained and angrily looked at her assailant. It was a young anthropomorphic bee that looked about the age of six. He wore a flight jacket and helmet, and was looking at Rarity with a cheerful smile. "Sorry bout that, lady!" The bee quickly leaped off of her. "Dang it, Charmy," a gruff male voice said. "How many times have I told you to watch where you're going?" Two more figures joined the Lego Team members. One was a big fig that looked like a green crocodile. He wore a gold chain around his neck and large headphones on his head. The other one was a minifig that resembled a purple chameleon. His nasal horn was yellow and he wore studded wrist and ankle bands with gold button bolts and bandages. "Oh, hello there," Rarity got up and tried to wipe off the sticky chocolate milk mess on her clothes. "I take it you're friends of Sonic?" "Well, sorta," the crocodile replied. "Name's Vector, head of the Chaotix Detective Agency." "I am Espio," the chameleon bowed his head in respect. "Master of ninjutsu." "And I'm Charmy Bee!" The youngest member gleefully bounced in midair. "Well, I am Rarity, and this is Pinkie Pie." "We're looking for a Chaos Emerald!" Pinkie stated, causing Rarity to glare at her. "Not in front of strangers!" She hissed. "Relax, miss," Vector interrupted. "We already know about them. We kinda suspected they were the reason we were brought here." "And we decided to take up residence here!" Charmy added. "Need I remind you that we are currently on a case right now," Espio growled. "Oh, right!" Vector straightened himself. "Our client, a lady named Celestia, gave us the job of investigating the cause of this sweet but very weird weather anomaly. Normally, we do basic stuff like saving cats from trees or finding lost toys, but the reward she offered..." Dollar signs replaced his eyes. "It'll be more than enough to cover rent!" He then saw Rarity and Espio's disapproving looks. "Oh, but uh, I guess we could help you two find your Emerald as well. Free of charge, of course." "Well, thank you for your assistance," Rarity shook Vector's big hand. "We may need all the help we can get as we have no idea where to look." She turned to see Pinkie and Charmy were gorging themselves on the rain again. "I think we may have found her lost-lost younger brother..." she muttered to herself. "Well, we actually do have a lead on your missing gems case," Espio tossed a newspaper toward her. Soon The Chaotix, plus temporary new members Pinkie and Rarity, had reached the Canterlot Museum of Natural History. Rarity was relieved that she could get out of the rain. According to the newspaper article, a strange purple gem was put on display recently. Rarity deduced that this could only be a Chaos Emerald. "Wait, so we're gonna steal it?" Pinkie asked as they paid for their tickets. "Of course not. We need to confirm it's an Emerald first. Then politely ask the curator for it." She lead her four companions to the Special Exhibit room, where in the center, a purple jewel was being kept in a protective dome. "It does look like the one Tails had..." Rarity looked more closely at the Emerald. But before she could get in real close, all the lights suddenly went off. "I didn't touch anything!" "It was me!" A male voice echoed through the museum. A man with pale brown skin, unkempt hair, a goatee and a mischievous smile teleported in the middle of the room. "The name is Discord, master of chaos and disharmony!" "Aren't those the same thing?" Espio asked. Ignoring the ninja chameleon, Discord swooped towards the case containing the Emerald and smashed the dome. Grabbing the Emerald, he flew out of the building. "After him!" Rarity shouted to her teammates. The five pursued Discord right onto a busy highway with... spiraling roads? "Great, a reality warper..." Vector groaned. "Hate those types of guys." "It is safe to assume he's also the cause of the chocolate rain," Espio stated as he now led them through the many roads that went up and down and all-around. "So that's why you asked to change the roads?!" Twilight angrily asked Pinkie Pie, who was currently twisting her Lego roads into their spiral shape. "Yup!" "And why did you pour a lot of brown studs everywhere?" She bluntly asked. "It's supposed to be chocolate milk, silly!" "Sometimes, I wonder what goes on in that head of yours..." Twilight sighed as Pinkie continued to act out the high speed chase on the highway. "We've... finally... reached... the end..." Rarity panted as the team stopped at a helipad. "Give it up, Discord!" Vector declared. "It's five against one!" "You think you can defeat me? You're just five regular minifigs, and I am the all-powerful Discord!" "If you're so all-powerful, prove it!" Charmy shouted. Rarity and Vector simultaneously tried to shut him up. Discord snapped his fingers, turning the anthro bee into an actual one. He then was turned back a second later. "Okay, I believe you!" "What is it you're planning to do with that Emerald?" Rarity asked, hoping to stall him. "Well, since you asked so nicely..." Discord began. "Lady Maleficent plans to use all seven Emeralds to summon and control the God of Destruction!" "You heartless monster!" Rarity did an over-the-top gasp. "Now, I must bid you adieu," Discord prepared to snap his fingers and escape with the Emerald, when Espio spoke up. "I still don't think you're all powerful." The ninja chameleon interrupted. "What are ya doing, Espio?" Vector whispered harshly to his companion. "Trust me on this," he replied. "If you're so powerful, then show me." "I already did." "It could easily been a substitution technique. Any ninja can do that easily." "Fine, then what do you want me to do?" "Turn yourself to stone, there's no way that can be substituted." "You're on!" Discord willed himself as his body began to petrify. As he began to turn to stone, he had a look of horror on his face and realized he couldn't stop it. "You tricked me!" He angrily said as his face froze in a mix of shock and anger. The new statue toppled over, dropping the purple Chaos Emerald in the process. As soon as he fell, the chocolate milk rain stopped immediately, and the roads twisted back to normal. "And that's why you don't trust a ninja," Espio smirked smugly as he picked up the Emerald and handed it to Rarity. "Thank you, darling," she blushed as the ninja kissed her hand in respect. "We did it!" Charmy did a fist pump while buzzing around his friends. "Can we go get ice cream, Vector? Can we? Can we?" "Ooh, I like the sound of that!" Pinkie Pie licked her lips. "Um, maybe after we get paid, Charmy," Vector sighed as he heaved the statue onto his shoulder and began to carry it to the Lego Team Headquarters. Espio and Charmy followed him. "Did not expect him to be THAT strong," Pinkie cocked her head slightly in surprise. "Oh, almost forgot!" Vector ran back to the girls and handed Rarity a small black card. On it was the design of a magnifying glass overlooking black footprints. There was also a slogan that read "Are you sure you want to know? -Chaotix Detective Agency." Below the slogan was their phone number. "Call us if you ever have a case for us to solve. With reasonable pay, of course." "Maybe," she chuckled as the three detectives disappeared from their sight. "They were fun," Pinkie grinned. "I hope we can see more of them in the future." "Maybe, darling, maybe." Rarity looked at the Emerald while she and Pinkie headed to the train station back to the Mystic Ruins. "How could Discord lose?!" Loki asked in anger. "He was one of the most powerful beings in this world!" "He obviously underestimated the resourcefulness of the ninja," Maleficent replied calmly. She then turned to the pirate. "I'm sure you know where to go next, Hook?" "Of course," Captain Hook held up Tails' Emerald Radar. "Me crew is all ready to set sail." He then took his leave. Maleficent then looked into the gem of her staff to see an moving image of Sunset Shimmer and Fluttershy approaching the same area Hook was sent to. "Those two will most be no challenge to what we have in store for them..." > The Boy Who Could Fly > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fluttershy and Sunset Shimmer were crossing into the Pirate Region after splitting up from the others. They had managed to catch the next ferry to the town of Port Royal at the last minute, in hopes of finding a Chaos Emerald. Sunset was currently on the phone with Rarity, who had reported of their acquirement of a Chaos Emerald from Discord and the apparent identity of their new enemy. "You sure he said 'Maleficent?'" The red-and-yellow haired girl asked. "Okay, thank you. We'll all meet up at Tails' workshop once we've found the remaining five." She hung up and turned to her timid, but at the same time excited, friend. "You okay, Fluttershy?" "I am, though a little worried about the possibility of facing less-than-friendly pirates." "Well, good thing I know a thing or two about sword fighting back when I was evil," Sunset smiled softly as she gazed out across the ocean. "Besides, most pirates stick to their own thing." "I suppose..." Fluttershy sighed as a blue bird rested on the rail beside them. It chirped seemingly in a panicked tone. Fluttershy, being able to understand animals, looked at in concern. "What's that, birdie?" The bird chirped again. "Your family? Captured by a fat man with a mustache?" She covered her mouth in shock. "That's horrible!" She gently picked up the bird. She could now see it was wearing a pendant of sorts, in the shape of a gem. "Your name is Lily?" The bird chirped in confirmation. "Well, don't worry, Lily, we'll help you get your family back." "'Fat man with a mustache?'" Sunset snickered a little. "She must mean Dr. Eggman," Fluttershy gently stroked Lily's head as the ferry continued its voyage. "She said her family was taken by him and placed inside his robots." "Well, we can help them after we find the Emeralds," Sunset replied with confidence before the boat suddenly lurched to a stop. "...that can't be good." The two girls ran to the starboard side of the boat to see a large pirate ship had docked itself right next to it. "Attention, ye scurvy dogs!" The pirate ship's captain bellowed. "This be Captain Hook of the Jolly Roger! Surrender the Chaos Emerald ye have on board, along with all yer valuables!" A group of the pirates swung on ropes to the ferry, brandishing their weapons threateningly at the passengers. "He's after the Chaos Emeralds too?" Sunset growled. "He must be working with Maleficent." She quickly disarmed an attacking pirate, and took his sword. "Come on, Fluttershy." "Where are we going?" Fluttershy held Lily protectively as Sunset fought her way through Hook's crew. "To have a chat with the captain," Sunset grinned as she grabbed one of the ropes and motioned for Fluttershy to join her. Climbing into Sunset's arms, the Lego Team leader quickly swung across the ocean and onto the deck of Captain Hook's ship. "Looking for us, Hook?" "Swoggle me eyes!" The pirate captain jumped back in surprise as he saw the two right in front of him. He dropped the Emerald Radar as a result. He quickly drew his sword and leaped down to the deck. Sunset raised her own weapon in defense. Hook began by thrusting towards her, to which she parried and pushed him back. They crossed blades back and forth while Fluttershy held Lily close. As their duel continued, the pink-haired minifig noticed the water was starting to bubble furiously. A large shape suddenly rose out of the sea, knocking Fluttershy onto her back. A large woman made out of black, purple and white Lego bricks with wild white hair, bright red lips, a beauty mark on the lower right side of her evilly grinning face and the lower half of her body was that of a black octopus. "About time you showed up, Ursula!" Hook shouted impatiently. The giant sea witch laughed deeply, causing the boat to shake a little from the sound vibrations. Her tentacles slithered onto the ship, trying to grab Fluttershy. Sunset was distracted long enough for Hook to disarm her and then knocked her down. "You're out of your league, girl," he pointed his weapon at her chest. "I've been practicing with the sword for years, and you're just an amateur at best." Sunset still looked defiant. "That may be so, but I wouldn't give up my friends like that." "A fitting choice for the last words of a fool," Hook raised his sword to deliver the killing blow when suddenly... The sound of a cockerel cry filled the air, causing Hook to pause and look around in anger. "Up here, Hook!" An arrogant sounding male voice called out from the mast. Sunset looked up to see a young man wearing green. He had red hair, pointed ears, and a hat with a red feather sticking out of it. "Picking a fight with a lady? You never did have chivalry, did ya Hook?" "Quit your prattling, Pan!" The pirate angrily yelled. The boy... flew towards Hook, drawing out a knife and began to duel with the captain. "Don't worry bout me," he said to Sunset. "You take care of that kraken lady!" Pan continued his battle with Hook while Sunset and Fluttershy headed below deck to avoid Ursula's tentacles. A small bright light followed them and headed to the ship's cannons currently facing Ursula. Sunset looked more closely to see it was a bright pixie wearing a small dress and had her hair in a bun. She made a chiming sound while pointing at the cannon. "Oh, I see!" Sunset grabbed a lantern hanging from one of the posts while Fluttershy loaded the three cannons. Lighting the fuse with the lantern's fire, the cannons fired three cannonballs in unison, causing Ursula to shatter in many pieces. "Oh, my..." Fluttershy covered her mouth in shock. "She'll be fine, Fluttershy," her friend said reassuringly. The pixie then flew over to them. "Thanks for the tip." Her new friend bounced up and down excitedly. They then headed up the stairs to the main deck where Pan and Hook were still fighting. From the look of things, Hook was winning. "Give it up, boy! I have finally beaten you this time!" Hook sadistically grinned. "Oh, I think someone else might have something to say about that," Pan smirked as the sound of a ticking clock filled the air. Hook's thin mustache began to twitch in tune with the ticking and his face began to turn fearful. He slowly turned around and looked in the water to see a large green crocodile licking its lips hungrily. "N-No! Not that now!" Hook jumped up. "Oh, Mr. Crocodile!" Pan called out. "Do you like codfish?" The reptile nodded in excitement. "You do?" He quickly grabbed Hook by the collar and held him above the croc's open maw. "P-Pan! W-We can call a truce! Just don't throw me to him!" The now completely terrified pirate struggled, trying hard not to fall into the water. "Very well then," he dropped his arch-rival onto the deck and shouted out his victory cry, giving Hook an opportunity to try to stab him from behind. "Look out!" Fluttershy shouted. Pan turned around and quickly dodged the attack, causing Hook to fall over the side of the ship and into the water. The crocodile quickly swam over to its meal and opened it mouth wide. "SMEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!" The captain screamed to his first mate as he tried to climb out of the beast's jaws. A pot-bellied man wearing a blue-and-white striped shirt and a red cap quickly scampered to the ship's dinghy. "D-Don't worry, Captain!" Smee called out. "I'll save you!" He lowered the boat into the water and rowed after Hook, who was now swimming as fast as he could from the hungry croc. "Well, we won't be seeing him for a while," Pan lazily floated over to Sunset and Fluttershy. The pixie flew up near him. "We haven't been properly introduced. Name's Peter Pan." He shook Sunset and Fluttershy's hands. "And this is my companion, Tinker Bell." He pointed at the pixie next to his head. "Sunset Shimmer," she smiled. "...and I'm Fluttershy..." her friend added. "So you and Hook know each other?" Sunset asked curiously. "Yeah, we've been at this for a long time, after I fed his left hand to that crocodile. The croc's been eager to have the rest of him ever since." "Um, how are you flying?" Fluttershy asked. "With some help from Tink's pixie dust. You can do it too, all you need is a happy thought." "We're good," Sunset said. "We're kind of on a mission to find some jewels for a friend." She climbed up to the ship's wheel. Soon, she found the Emerald Radar and picked it up. Turning it on, she heard it beep rapidly. "It says there's one right on this vessel." Lily hid behind Fluttershy's head at that statement. Before Sunset could continue, a large green robot slammed down onto the ship. Its body was shaped like an hourglass, with two long arms and two red eyes in the upper center. Its right hand launched out and grabbed Fluttershy, Lily and Tinker Bell before taking off. "SUNSET! HELP!" Fluttershy cried out as the robot carried them back towards Canterlot City. "He took Tink!" Peter growled. "Sunset, will care to help me in a rescue mission?" "He's got my friend as well," she replied. "I'd be happy to." Putting the Radar in her pocket, Peter Pan picked her up and began to fly at top speed towards the Mystic Ruins... > The Bat of Gotham > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Knuckles and Applejack disembarked from the boat Applejack built to take them to Gotham City. Knuckles had faintly sensed the presence of a Chaos Emerald and many of the Master Emerald shards in that area. As they were now in the dark city, he could feel the presence was even stronger. "They're definitely here, and gathered as well," he reported to his companion. "That still leaves the problem of searchin' this huge city for 'em." The two walked through the streets of Gotham, ignoring the looks they were getting from pedestrians. "Is it me, or does something seem... off about this city?" Applejack questioned Knuckles who had suddenly stopped. "What's the hold-up?" "They're in there..." the red echidna stated, standing in front of a large light blue building. It was fancy-looking and had the large sign reading "Iceberg Lounge" above the front doors. "I doubt we'll be able to get in though," Applejack stated. "This looks like of them high and fancy gathering places." "Well, they have MY property in there," Knuckles retorted as he stomped his way to the entrance, only to be blocked by an intimidating minifig. "VIPs only," the man said in a gruff voice. Knuckles responded by punching the man in the gut, causing him to fall onto his back. Applejack then followed him into the Iceberg Lounge. Inside, there were numerous wealthy people sitting at tables conversing with each other. At the back of the room was the highest positioned table, where the club's owner was apparently sitting. He wore a large top hat, an expensive-looking fur coat and was holding a black umbrella. The most disturbing part of him was that all his teeth were extremely sharp. Knuckles angrily marched toward the man as he saw him looking over several green gem shards on the table. "Hey!" The Guardian of Angel Island called out. "Give those shards back!" "Wak-wak-wak-wak!" The man laughed in a squawking tone. "You gotta lot of guts barging in here making demands!" He leaped off his chair, revealing he was short in height. "Not many try to." He laughed again. "Especially from a weirdo like you!" "Look who's talkin'," Applejack muttered. "Those Emerald shards belong to me," Knuckles insisted. "Too bad, shrimp! Finders, keepers!" He pointed his umbrella threateningly at his chest. Knuckles responded by grabbing it and snapping it in half. "Wak?! How did you...?!" Knuckles casually tossed the umbrella remains away. "Now are you going to give me those Emerald shards or not?" "Bane!" The villain shouted at one of his bodyguards. "Show this oaf why it's a foolish idea to mess with the Penguin!" "'The Penguin?'" Applejack snickered, as a hulking man approached Knuckles. He wore a wrestling mask that hid his face, a brown jacket and numerous tubes flowing into the back of his head. The tubes were filled with a flowing green liquid. "I suggest you leave if you know what is good for you," Bane said in a Hispanic accent. "I don't think so," Knuckles prepared to fight the big fig while Applejack looked at the Penguin's other two "guests." They wore identical kimonos and kabuki masks. Tossing off the outfits, they were revealed to be wearing red leotards and in place of fingers were three very sharp claws on each hand. "Whoa, nellie..." Applejack straightened her hat as she dodged the Kabuki Twins' repeated swipes while Knuckles exchanged blows with Bane. One of the Twins' claws swiped at her shirt, tearing it slightly. "Aw, and that was one of mah favorites!" She looked at them with anger. "You gone and done it now," she charged at the Kabuki Twins, taking them by surprise and allowing her to get in a few hits. However, they soon regained their footing and put her back on the defensive. Meanwhile, Knuckles ducked between Bane's legs to avoid the large fists smashing his head in. "Give up!" Bane shouted. "I am stronger than you! Smarter than you! I broke the Bat!" "That may be so, but..." Knuckles did a spiral uppercut onto Bane's back, breaking his backbone. "I'm not the Bat!" Bane collapsed painfully, giving Knuckles the opportunity to disconnect the tubes from his head. Bane shouted in agony as his muscles began decrease in a horrifying manner. Eventually, the once muscular Bane was now a shriveled minfig breathing heavily. Knuckles sighed in relief as he ran to help Applejack. Before the fight could resume, a large black shape crashed through the Iceberg Lounge's ceiling window. "No! Not now!" The Penguin grasped his head in frustration, before trying to run out of the room. The black shape knocked him out before he could reach the stairs however. "Looks like you're..." the shape looked up to show the grinning face of a man in a bat costume. "...on ice!" Knuckles and Applejack groaned at the horrible pun before taking advantage of the Kabuki Twins' confusion to knock them out. Knuckles quickly grabbed the Master Emerald shards from the table. "Looks like they're all here..." he said to himself after counting them. "But what about the Chaos Emerald..." He closed his eyes to try to sense for it. "Weird... My senses are saying that it's... coming from beneath us?" Several columns of mud suddenly burst out from the floor. The club patrons began to flee for the exit as the mud began to come together and form into a giant humanoid shape made out of brown Lego bricks. "Uh-oh..." Knuckles' eyes shrunk in horror as the mud formed a grinning visage. "Hello, Batman!" The being shouted in a booming voice, that suspiciously sounded like a woman was trying emulate a male voice. "What do you want, Clayface?" Batman drew out a Batarang in defense. "More of those shinies!" He roared, pointing a muddy finger at the Master Emerald shards Knuckles was carrying. Clayface turned his right hand into a large mallet and smashed it down on Knuckles, who managed to leap out of the way. "Okay, Batguy," Applejack panted as they dodged another blow. "How do we beat this guy?" "With some form of water," Batman replied as his tossed Batarangs got absorbed into Clayface's body. "Either regular water or ice blasts." Applejack looked around and suddenly noticed the large aquarium on the other side of the room. "Hey, Knux!" She called out. "Think ya could give me a boost over there!" She pointed at the large fish tank. Realizing what she was planning, Knuckles grabbed her and threw her as hard as he could at it. Applejack held out her fists and hit the tank's glass with all her might, causing it to crack. Clayface had pinned down Batman with his left hand. "Next... I WILL BECOME YOU, BATMAN!!!!" Clayface shouted as the tank was on the verge of shattering. He turned around too late to see the large wave of water heading towards him. He gurgled as the water washed away his muddy form, leaving only a white gem. "The Chaos Emerald!" Knuckles picked it up and held it protectively. Applejack spat some water out of her mouth while the Dark Knight stood up. She then offered Knuckles her backpack to put the gems inside. "Nice work, you two," Batman said, brushing the mud off his suit. "Well, it ain't every day you take down a giant mud monster," Applejack took off her hat and shook it several times to make sure it was clean. Her communicator then beeped. Answering it, she saw Sunset Shimmer's somewhat worried face. "Did you find a Chaos Emerald yet?" Sunset asked. "Eeyup! Along with all the Master Emerald pieces!" "Good, we need you guys back at the Mystic Ruins ASAP. I'll explain when you get here." Sunset then hung up. "Hey, Batman, you mind giving us a ride to the Mystic Ruins?" She rubbed her head sheepishly. Batman groaned for a long moment. "Fine." He lead them out to the back where a large black car/tank hybrid was waiting. "Just get into the Batmobile's passenger seat," the masked vigilante grumbled. The two looked at each other before climbing in. Batman then leaped into the driver's seat, causing Knuckles and Applejack to be cramped up in the cockpit obviously meant for one. Batman pulled a lever, causing the Batmobile to change into a plane. "Where're the seat belts?" Applejack said in a muffled voice. "First life lesson from Batman is... LIFE DOESN'T GIVE YOU SEAT BELTS!" The Batwing began to fly towards Canterlot City while Knuckles and Applejack shifted uncomfortably. "You still could've built this with more than one person in mind," Knuckles growled. The Batwing then stopped at Tails' Workshop, and the two were soon booted out. "Well, that was worse than I thought," Applejack sighed as the Batwing took off. "You made it!" Sunset Shimmer hugged them. "I already told the others about the situation." "What situation?" Applejack asked. "Fluttershy's been kidnapped!" Pinkie Pie cried out. "Oh, and this guy's pixie friend." She pointed to Peter Pan. "Well, I got all the Master Emerald shards, so I'm heading back to my island to restore it," the red echidna leaped up and began to head to the fallen Angel Island, his spines using the wind to glide across the water. "...that was random even by my standards," Pinkie stated as soon as he was out of their sights. "Well, we're still waiting for Tails and Twilight before we go on a rescue mission..." Sunset began. "Once they arrive, we can begin planning-" She was suddenly interrupted by the ground shaking violently. "Was that the island rising?" Rarity trembled as the quake increased. "No, it's that!" Sonic pointed towards the jungle. The group's eyes went wide at what they saw. Rising out of the jungle was a giant airship that had the symbol of a familiar face. "Eggman!" Rainbow Dash cracked her knuckles, itching for a fight. "That must be his plan to conquer the world," Sonic gazed in awe at the flying warship. "We need to get on that now," Sunset stated firmly. "I just hope Tails and Twilight are almost done so they can join us..." > Magic and Mystery > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tails, Twilight Sparkle and a young male minifig with purple skin, blue short legs, a green torso and arms and was wearing a red baseball cap, were walking through a dark forest on the outskirts of Canterlot City. There was a feeling of dread and unease as they progressed through the trees. "Y-You sure this was the way, Twilight?" The young boy asked. He clung close to his friend as he trembled in fear. "Positive, Spike," she replied. She tapped her homemade Emerald Radar. "Picking up a strong signal in this direction." "I have to admit I'm surprised that your mechanical skills are on par with mine," the two-tailed fox said as he was currently spinning his tails to keep himself in the air. "And I'm surprised you can actually do that with your tails," Twilight giggled a little. "Well, I gotta keep up with Sonic somehow," Tails shrugged. The trees now appeared to be glaring at them as they continued down the path. "So anything interesting about this forest, Twilight?" "Well, many people have claimed to see ghosts and monsters around here, especially near the old house on the hill. Personally, I think it's a bunch of superstitious nonsense." "Y-You sure about that?" Spike trembled as the eerie sounds began to grow louder. Just then, Twilight's radar pinged again. "Huh?! Another Emerald in the area?!" She tapped the device to make sure it wasn't malfunctioning. The second Emerald blip was still present on the screen, and appeared to be... moving? Before she could point this out, the sound of an engine rumbling began to catch up to them. Twilight pulled Spike out of the way as a large green-and-blue van zoomed by. It has the words "The Mystery Machine" written on both sides and seemed to have three people in the front. "Hey, watch where you're going!" Spike angrily shouted, causing the van to stop and reverse back towards them. The driver was a male minifig with a light blonde hairpiece, an orange ascot, white shirt and blue legs. Sitting next to him were two girls, the one in the middle had a long orange hairpiece and was wearing purple and the other one had a short brown hairpiece, wore rectangular glasses and an orange sweater torso. "Sorry about that," the driver said, causing Spike to calm down. "Hey, you guys want a ride?" "That would be great considering someone insisted that we walk here instead of using a Jump Gate," he shot a glare at Twilight. "And I told you before, we need to fully scope out these new areas before we can allow use of the Jump Gate. For all I know, we could have ended up in a volcano." The three opened the back doors of the Mystery Machine to see a male minifig with a brown hairpiece, a green torso, brown legs and a small beard on his face. Sitting next to him was a large brown dog. Tails, Twilight and Spike carefully sat next to the doors before closing them. The van then resumed driving through the forest. "I'm Shaggy by the way," the green torso minifig held out his hand, which Twilight shook. "And this is my dog, Scooby-Doo." "Nice to meet you both," Tail beamed. "Like, did you just talk?" Shaggy's eyes widened in surprise. "Um, yes?" "Jinkies!" The girl with glasses turned towards them. "This might even be a bigger mystery than our current one!" Twilight and Spike looked at each other in confusion. "My name's Velma. I'm sort of the brains for our group." "Same," Twilight cracked a little smile. "I'm Daphne," the orange haired girl reached out to shake hands with the three. "And the guy driving is Fred. We solve mysteries together, and are collectively known as Mystery Incorporated." "What sort of mysteries?" Twilight asked curiously. "Normally ghosts and monsters," Daphne continued, ignoring the fact that Spike was trembling more now. "That usually turn out to be people in costumes," Velma deadpanned. "And I'm sure the ones sighted at the house are also fakes." "Yeah, but it's a great mystery to solve," Fred argued. "That many ghosts and monsters in one spot?" Scooby, Shaggy and Spike simultaneously gulped at the thought. "Anyway," Twilight adjusted her glasses before continuing. "Have you guys seen any strange glowing gems?" "I'm afraid not," Velma shrugged as the van came to a stop outside a creepy old mansion. Lightning flashed across the dark sky, causing Spike to jump up in shock. Twilight gently led him out of the Mystery Machine after the others had exited the van. As the group approached the old house, four shadowy figures observed them from the building's second story. Mystery Inc, plus Twilight, Spike and Tails slowly crept through the dilapidated old halls of the mansion, Fred leading the group while Velma illuminated their way with a flashlight. "So what's the plan?" Twilight asked the gang's leader. "Well, we'll split up and search for clues," Fred explained. "Velma, you go with Scoob and Shaggy. I'll go with Daphne." "Um, doesn't splitting up usually end badly in these types of movies?" Spike pointed out, but the others had already gone their separate ways, leaving him with Tails and Twilight. "And I'm ignored..." "Don't worry about them, Spike," Twilight said reassuringly. "We've got two Emeralds to find here." As they continued down the main hall, the sound of clanking slowly became louder behind them. "Tails, if that's you tinkering, can you please keep it down?" "What are you talking about? I've been next to Spike the whole time." "Then what's that..." Twilight slowly turned around and saw a large suit of black armor looming over them. "...that wasn't there before." The armor began to move on its own, attempting to grab Spike. He leapt out of the way just in time and crashed into Twilight, knocking them both to the floor. "Wh-What is that?!" Spike trembled as the armor began to stomp towards them. "I don't know..." Twilight was filled with fear. "But we gotta RUN!" The three dashed towards one of the rooms branching off from the hallway as a pop song inexplicably began to play in the background. "Pinkie, is the music really necessary?" Human Applejack covered her ears as Pinkie Pie played the pop song loudly on her music player. "Of course! This is a Scooby-Doo chase after all!" As Tails, Twilight and Spike dashed from room to room, they were now being followed by a minifig in an old diving suit, a white sheet ghost and a hunched over man that kept moaning "Creeper." As the chase continued, they suddenly bumped into Mystery Inc, putting the music to a halt. "You ran into the monsters too?" Shaggy asked while holding Scooby's shaking form in his arms. "Y-Yeah!" Spike panted. "All that running tired us out fast." "Hang on," Twilight interrupted. "Something doesn't add up. Why would a diving suit monster be so far out here from the sea?" "That's actually a good point," Tails added. "I think these aren't real monsters, I think they're..." "People in costumes," Velma deadpanned. "Like every mystery we have ever solved." "...I like you," Twilight grinned. "So how about we turn the tables on them instead? First, we'll need..." "A trap!" Fred interrupted. Twilight gave an annoyed stare before continuing. "We'll need a plan to catch them off-guard first, then trap them." Soon In the mansion's basement, Tails had finished constructing a large cage that was now hanging about the stairs. How he managed to find enough bricks to build it without tearing the mansion apart was a mystery to solve for another day. The plan was for Scooby, Shaggy and Spike to lure the monsters towards the basement and the others would pull the cage down on them. "How come we gotta be the bait?" Spike groaned as they wandered the mansion's halls again, searching for the monsters. "We've been doing this role our whole career, man," Shaggy patted the young minifig's back while Scooby nodded in agreement. "Well, that and also wearing disguises." "Okay, not dignifying that with a response," Spike sighed as the loud clanking sound of the Black Knight caught up to them. "Here we go..." he muttered as the four monsters began to chase them again, this time however, the heroes had a plan. Heading to the basement, the monsters followed them down the stairs. "NOW!" Fred shouted before the others released the rope holding up the cage. The large shape slammed down on the monsters, trapping them. "Let me out!" The Black Knight shouted in a woman's voice. "Now let's see who these monsters really are," Velma stated as she pulled the masks off of all four. Three of the culprits had shiny, pupilless light blue eyes and dark green skin. Their leader (the Black Knight) was similar in appearance but had pupils and a small crown on her head. "Queen Chrysalis and the Changelings?!" The group asked in unison. "Who are they?" Tails asked in confusion. "Only one of the top names on the Lego World's Most Wanted list," Twilight explained. "Their M.O. is dressing up as monsters and scaring people away in hopes of stealing treasure. They must've been looking for the Chaos Emeralds." "And I would've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids and your dumb dog and fox," Chrysalis growled. "Those Emeralds would have given me the strength needed to overthrow Maleficent and take over her operation!" The lights suddenly went dark as green flames filled the room. When they died down, the Mistress of All Evil was standing before her former minion. "So you intended to betray me the whole time," Maleficent slowly stroked Chrysalis's cheek as the Queen of the Changelings now had an expression of fear on her face. "O-Of course not, Mistress," she pleaded. "I was just finding the Emeralds for you!" As she spoke, the red Chaos Emerald she was carrying floated from her hand and into Maleficent's. "You intended to use them to take over. For that, I hereby banish you to the zone where phantoms dwell! May you suffer eternally in that Hell!" "Can she say that?" Spike whispered to Twilight as Maleficent waved her staff and created a portal that began to suck Chrysalis and her three henchmen inside. "I'll return, Maleficent!" The Changeling Queen proclaimed as she was drawn into the vortex. "And then you will bow to me!" The portal then closed itself. The Phantom Zonnnnne.... The Phantom Zonnnnne... Queen Chrysalis fell face-first onto a hard brick surface surrounded by mist. A floating brick with blinking colorful studs was moving around her and her minions. "Welcome to the Phantom Zone, bad guy," the brick, Phyllis, greeted the now trapped villains. "Sh-She can open portals," Twilight said in disbelief as the evil fairy turned to them. "So you are the ones who have been opposing me," Maleficent smirked. "I must say, I was expecting someone a little... older." "We may be young," Tails said defiantly. "But we're stronger than you think!" He quickly grabbed the flashlight from Velma's hand and shone it into Maleficent's eyes, temporarily blinding her and allowing Spike to swoop in and snatch the Emerald from her hand, while placing a small device on her robe. "Run!" Twilight shouted to the others. The group dashed outside, leaving an angry Maleficent alone in the basement. "Run all you like, children!" She shouted. "In the end, Chaos will reign supreme!" She then warped herself back to her fortress. Outside, Spike was panting as he held onto the Mystery Machine's side for support. "So we need to regroup with the others," Tails said to Twilight. "Spike managed to place a tracker on Maleficent as well back there, so we now know where she is." "But we're still missing an Emerald." "Oh, you mean this?" Shaggy held out a glowing blue gem and offered it to Twilight. "Me and Scoob stumbled across it while running from those Changelings." "Thanks, Shaggy!" Twilight accepted the Emerald and gave him a small hug. "We now have all of them! Let's go back and meet with the others!" As soon as she said that, her communicator started to buzz. "Sunset?" "Twilight, we need you back here! Fluttershy has been captured by Dr. Eggman and we're about to board his Egg Carrier!" "We'll be there as soon as possible!" Twilight promised as she hung up and nodded at Tails. The three hurried back to the Tornado and took off. "They seemed like nice people," Daphne smiled as Scooby giggled. "Scooby-Dooby-Dooooo!!!" Aboard the Egg Carrier Fluttershy held Lily close in the jail cell they were currently occupying. Just then, the room's door opened to reveal E-102 Gamma. The robot approached them and opened the cell. "Bring the bird here," he droned. "I-I can't do that, Mr. Robot," the animal lover held Lily close. "I promised I would find her family first." Gamma paused for a moment as her saying the word "family" echoed through his processor. "Um, Mr. Robot? Are you okay?" "Go," Gamma finally said after a few minutes. "Escape from here." "Th-Thank you," Fluttershy bowed her head before running out the room. As Gamma stared at the fleeing Lego Team member and bird, an image flashed in his memory banks. It showed a family of birds happily flying together in the sky. But before Gamma could view it further, an explosion shook him out of his soliloquy. "Gamma," Dr. Eggman's voice shouted on the loudspeakers. "Report to the main deck immediately! We have some unwanted guests!" Gamma headed to the elevator to deal with the intruders. Pinkie threw another container of sprinkles which promptly exploded at the Egg Carrier's engines. "Bulls-eye!" She cheered while Knuckles and Applejack took on several of Eggman's robot guards, Amy and Sunset were double-teaming on Dr. Eggman's Egg Viper mecha with their hammer and sword respectively and Peter Pan had rescued Tinker Bell and was engaging the green robot that had snatched her before. As the battles continued, Sonic and Rainbow Dash noticed Gamma was emerging from the lower deck. "Target: Sonic," Gamma's eyes flashed as he drew his gun on the hedgehog. > Assault on the Egg Carrier > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sonic and Rainbow Dash stared down at E-102 Gamma as the red robot readied his blaster arm. The mechanical minion quickly locked onto the hedgehog and fired a laser blast, catching Sonic off-guard and knocking him down. Rainbow Dash hurried to her partner to help him up, but Gamma had already fired on her, sending her to the ground as well. Gamma marched to the duo and aimed his blaster point-blank at Sonic's face. "STOP!" Fluttershy shouted. She put herself between Sonic and Gamma, her arms spread out defensively. "I won't let you hurt my friends!" "F-Fluttershy..." Rainbow coughed as she slowly got up. "M-Move out of the way..." The pink-haired minifig shook her head. "I can't." "Why not?! He's going to kill us!" "He rescued me! And I can't let you hurt each other!" Gamma slowly lowered his gun and stared intently at Fluttershy's face. "...what are 'friends?'" Gamma finally asked. "Oh, well," Fluttershy began. "Friends are people you like to spend time with, people you can trust to always have your back..." she turned and gave a soft smile to Rainbow Dash. Gamma looked at the others fighting Eggman's robots along with the doctor himself. "Friends..." Gamma's mind began to register new commands. "Dr. Eggman... Enemy. Master Registration... Deleted. Lego Team... Friends. Must save..." Gamma raised his gun again, only this time aiming at the Egg Viper mecha Eggman was piloting and fired, directly striking its power core. The snake mecha began to fly around erratically while its connected body began to explode until finally only the Egg Mobile was left. "How?!" The fat man yelled angrily as the explosion of the Egg Viper directly damaged the Egg Carrier's engines. The mighty flying battleship began its descent towards the ocean. "Okay, we all gotta get off here fast!" Sunset ordered her teammates. The others nodded before looking around for a safe way off the ship. Peter Pan chuckled as Tinker Bell flew over the group, spreading her pixie dust on them. Slowly, they began to float in the air, still covered in the sparkling dust. "Just think happy thoughts, and you'll be fine!" Peter shouted as they flew off the edge of the Egg Carrier just as the flying fortress crashed onto the water's surface. "Wait, where's Fluttershy?!" Rainbow Dash asked, starting to head back to the ship. "No time to look for her!" Amy shouted. "If we stay around here any longer, we'll all die!" Rainbow Dash sighed in defeat as she followed the group back to the Mystic Ruins. "I guess this is where we part ways then," the boy in green said as they landed near Tails' Workshop. "Hope we can see each other again," Sunset shook Peter's hand. He gave a salute before flying off, Tinker Bell following him. Just as they vanished from sight, Tails, Twilight and Spike landed right by them in the Tornado. "We're here!" Twilight panted as she leapt off the wing. "What did we miss?" "Well, we just took down a giant snake robot!" Pinkie Pie cheered. "And Eggy's giant ship!" "Aw, we missed it!" Spike groaned as the others shared a laugh. Twilight loudly cleared her throat, catching everyone's attention. "Well, we managed to find where Maleficent is hiding out," she held up a portable screen that was currently showing a blinking dot. "She's currently holed up in her fortress in the Castle Region." "Why do most of our battles end up there?" Rarity sighed as she dusted her legs. Twilight scanned around the area and noticed someone was missing. "Wait, where's Fluttershy?" In the jungle nearby Fluttershy coughed as she regained consciousness. The last thing she remembered was a giant explosion sending her flying and then total darkness. As she looked around, she saw she was near a large pyramid right in the middle of the jungle. She then saw she wasn't alone either. "M-Mr. Robot!" She leapt up in shock, hands raised in preparation to fight. "Gamma," the machine droned. "Huh?" "Dr. Eggman gave me the designation of Gamma." "Okay then, Gamma, did you... save me?" "Affirmative." "Why?" "Because you are my... friend." He turned around and began walking away. "Where are you going?" "To lead you back to the others. This way." Fluttershy began to follow Gamma through the maze of trees and vines until they reached a tall ladder. Fluttershy quickly ponied up and flew to the top while Gamma slowly climbed the ladder. There was a mine cart leading to the entrance of the ruins and the train station. The two hopped inside as it sped through a tunnel and finally stopped near the large open field. Waiting for them was a large flying robot that had black armor, large sharp claws and a single eye that stared at Gamma. "Not another one," Fluttershy prepared to defend herself when Gamma suddenly stepped in front of her. "Gamma? What is it?" "I will handle Beta," Gamma replied. "You go find your friends." Fluttershy shook her head. "We'll fight him together," her face becoming a steely resolve. Gamma quickly grabbed Fluttershy and leapt out of the way as Beta suddenly charged forward. Gamma took the opportunity to shoot his older "brother" in the back, causing the upgraded Beta to spark a little. "Why must we fight, brother?" Gamma asked Beta. "What is the point?" "Master's orders: Termination of all traitors," Beta's eye flared as he fired a round of homing missiles and began releasing energy blasts from his hands. Fluttershy flew up and kicked him from behind, causing him to spark again and to slowly fall to the ground. Gamma quickly fired through Beta's chest, delivering the final blow. Fluttershy cheered and hugged the robot, unaware Beta had gotten back up and was now charging one last shot. By the time Fluttershy noticed, Beta had already fired, causing a direct hit to Gamma's body. "GAMMA!" The Lego Team member knelt next to her new friend as he laid there sparking. "Damage... critical. Self-repair system... offline. Fluttershy... run." Gamma's body began to spark some more. "Self-destruction sequence... activated." Fluttershy quickly ran as fast as she could as both robots were engulfed by Gamma's explosion. When the dust settled, only a pair of birds were left. Lily flew from Fluttershy's pocket and embraced the birds. "So... your family was inside those two all along..." Fluttershy wiped some of the tears from her eyes as her friends joined her. The locket Lily was holding opened by itself, revealing the cyan Chaos Emerald inside. Fluttershy caught it as it fell out from the locket. She looked up and slowly waved good-bye to the departing family of birds. "We saw the explosion," Sunset explained. "What happened?" "Where's that robot at?" Applejack demanded. "Gamma's... gone..." Fluttershy felt her eyes tearing up again. Rainbow Dash gave a reassuring pat on her shoulder. "I'm sorry to hear that, Fluttershy..." Twilight helped her teammate up. "Well, we're heading to the Castle Region to stop Maleficent." Tails explained. "Twilight has already set the coordinates." The bespectacled minifig nodded and led the others back to Tails' plane. Inside it was an image of the Castle Region. Fluttershy managed to get her emotions in check and followed the others to the Tornado. > The Forbidden Mountain > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Lego Team and Team Sonic gazed at the large castle atop the tall foreboding mountain surrounded by dark fog. "As if it couldn't be more obvious this place belonged to a bad guy," Rainbow Dash deadpanned. "You're the Castle Region expert, Twilight," Sunset asked. "You know this place?" "Only vaguely..." Twilight replied. "This place was called the Forbidden Mountain for a reason." "Perfect place for a witch to make her hideout," Rarity finished as they proceeded up the mountain path. Halfway to Maleficent's castle, a small army of shot pig men and bird men stopped them. "Heh, looks like the welcoming committee has arrived," Sonic rolled up into a ball and charged through Maleficent's goons, sending them all flying in different directions. The others quickly ran up to the castle gates. Applejack and Knuckles both punched the portcullis, sending it into the wall, shattering it to pieces. "Knock, knock," Applejack straightened her hat as they began to fight through the courtyard. Rarity used her shields to deflect arrows shot by the bird men from the upper stories of the castle. Tails tossed a few fake ring bombs that brought down the weaker supports. Finally, they reached the main entrance. For some reason, the doors were already open. "This is obviously a trap," Twilight stated as they progressed through the hall, Tails using a flashlight to illuminate their way. "Well, you got any better ideas?" Sonic asked, irritated by the small space limiting his running. "...no," the bespectacled girl replied after a minute. "Oh, that reminds me, Tails has been working on a portable version of the Jump-Gate." "It's still a prototype and I only had time to make ones for myself, Twilight and Spike." Tails showed he now wore a small watch on his wrist. "If I can perfect it, it'll make traveling much easier." "Unless you can teleport," a familiar voice interrupted. The Lego Team saw the hall's walls had vanished, revealing them to just be an illusion. Standing at the end of the large room was Loki. "YOU!" Rarity snorted angrily. "You're the ruffian who impersonated Fluttershy!" "Guilty as charged," the minifig in the horned helmet bowed in mock courtesy. "And thank you for bringing the rest of the Chaos Emeralds to us." "Loki, you can't use the Emeralds," Knuckles stepped forward. "They're too dangerous!" "Oh, so am I, Guardian. I intend to get my revenge on my brother, on Earth AND on Asgard!" "What is Maleficent planning, Loki?" Sunset asked. "You can't make me tell~!" Loki tauntingly sang. "You're not the god of me." Rainbow Dash growled in frustration. "Let's just take this guy down already!" Loki raised his scepter as she flew at him. "Ah, ah, ah. First, let's have you play with my little friend." He fired a bolt of blue energy at the wall. The metal pieces in one part of the wall began to assemble themselves into a large mechanical being. Its eyes glowed orange before Loki unleashed a steady green beam at its head, allowing him complete control over its functions. The armor fired a large beam of fire from its face as a demonstration of its might. "That's the Destroyer Armor!" Pinkie pointed dramatically. "That thing is supposed to be indestructible according to the comics!" The Destroyer fired another beam at the group. Rarity put up her shield, redirecting the beam onto Loki. "Gah! You mortal pest!" The god of mischief shouted as his control over the Destroyer stopped for the moment, allowing Knuckles to rush up to the motionless armor and punched through its chest. He quickly leapt out of the way as Loki placed his control beam over the Destroyer. "Begone! Asgard and Earth belong to me!" The Destroyer began to threaten them with its beam again, though this time, Tails put up a holographic barrier and once again re-aimed it at Loki. Knuckles and Applejack nodded to each other before tearing off the Destroyer's head. The powerless armor collapsed while Loki hovered towards them. Landing nearby, he quickly generated copies of himself, each one laughing in a taunting manner. "Lookalikes!" Sonic shouted. "Or should that be Loki-likes?" Sunset narrowed her eyes as she noticed one of the Lokis was acting differently from the others. She quickly ran up and punched the real Loki, sending him flying across the room. Knowing he had been beaten, Loki quickly warped himself away. "We beat him!" Fluttershy cheered. "Now all that's left is Maleficent," Twilight stated before her communicator watch started beeping. "Celestia?" She asked, answering it. "Twilight, we need you and the others back here now! Dr. Eggman has launched a missile into the city!" "WHAT?!" Everyone else shouted in shock. "We can't leave now!" Sonic interrupted. "Not when we're so close!" "Then we split up," Tail suggested. "I can disable the missile easily." "Then we can't fly out of here," Rarity noted. "I can fly that plane," Rainbow Dash grinned. "I'll go with Tails," Twilight agreed. "He may need some backup." "And where Twilight goes, I go," Spike added. The two geniuses nodded to each other before opening a portable Jump-Gate with Tails' new invention. "It works!" Tails shouted with glee before he and Twilight entered the energy gate, Spike following closely behind. The Jump-Gate then closed itself as soon as Spike was through. "Now let's head to the throne room!" Sunset led the remaining Lego Team members up the castle's stairs. Meanwhile Tails, Twilight and Spike were near Canterlot City's main highway. In the distance was the large shape of a missile. "Well, at least we know where it is," Spike quipped as Tails and Twilight tried to activate their Jump-Gates again, but the devices had already shorted out. "So the prototype suffers from a large energy drain..." Twilight said to herself. "Kinda not the issue right now, Twilight," Tails shouted as he began to run towards the missile. "I don't think so, fox boy!" Dr. Eggman shouted as his Egg Mobile began to follow the young genius. "You denied me the right to conquer this city, so I'm making sure you won't have a city!" Twilight quickly built a car for herself and Spike out of the nearby buildings and street. They immediately sped after the racing duo. Back in Maleficent's castle "So you made this far," the evil fairy stood in front of her throne, clutching her staff with confidence. "Yeah, there's nothing that can stop us!" Rainbow Dash smirked as a wall of green fire erupted from behind, trapping them inside. Maleficent quickly teleported herself to another end of the room. "THUNDER!" She shouted before firing three bolts of lightning at the group, sending them to opposite corners. Rainbow Dash took advantage of her pause after firing the spell to attack her, causing her to move to another part of the room. "Thunder's light and lightning strike!" The fairy summoned several bolts of lightning to rain from the ceiling. Sonic easily weaved his way through the attack and scored another hit to her, this time knocking her off-balance. Knuckles began punching as fast as he could before she managed to warp away again. "Now fall forever!" She began charging another spell in the center of the room, aiming for Fluttershy. Rarity got in the way and put up her shields, deflecting it back at its caster, causing the fairy to fall asleep. Sunset gave a swift kick to Maleficent, delivering the final blow. In Canterlot City Tails had managed to reach the missile first and was now disabling it. Twilight and Spike arrived shortly after, but strangely, Eggman was nowhere to be seen. "I don't like it," Spike muttered. "It's too quiet." "I know, Spike," Twilight replied. "That's why we're guarding Tails to make sure he's not interrupted by anything." "You mean like this?!" Eggman shouted as a large four-legged mecha dropped down in front of them, with the fat man at the controls. "Get out of my way or face the wrath of my Egg Walker!" "I'm not scared of that!" Spike yelled defiantly as he and Twilight charged at the approaching mech. "GET A LOAD OF THIS!" Eggman shouted as he stamped the walker's front left foot down, releasing a shockwave that the duo leapt over. Spike punched the foot, causing it to spark and shut down. "Nice job, Spike!" Twilight grinned. "You found its weak spot!" She dodged another foot stomp and attacked the remaining three feet at once, causing the Egg Walker to collapse. "I'll be back!" Eggman shouted as his Egg Mobile flew off from the exploding mecha. Twilight and Spike ran to Tails, who was wiping his hands smugly. "All done," the 8-year old fox smiled before his friends hugged him tightly. "Disabling that thing was child's play." Before Twilight could reply, she was interrupted by the cheers of the citizens down below. "Looks like we got a few fans," Spike chuckled as Tails flew him and Twilight down to street level. In Maleficent's throne room Maleficent panted as she slowly made her way back up to her throne. Sunset had taken the green Chaos Emerald from her robes after she was defeated. "Give it up, Maleficent," Applejack stated. "You've lost." "I... won't give up yet!" The evil fairy stood upright and raised her staff. "For you shall now face me and all the powers of Hell!" A large column of fire surrounded her and rose up to the sky as she began to grow, laughing manically all the way. When the fire died down, Maleficent had transformed herself into a large black and purple dragon. The dragon stood on its hind legs and roared, destroying the throne room in the process. "Aim for her head!" Sunset shouted. "It may be enough to stun her!" The others nodded and began to focus on the dragon's skull. The yellow-and-red haired minifig picked up a sword from a fallen skeleton and aimed towards Maleficent's chest. "Fly swift and sure, that evil die and good endure!" She muttered to herself before throwing the blade, scoring a direct hit to the dragon's Creation Spark. The beast clutched her chest in agony before twisting around and falling off the cliff's edge and into the chasm. As the dragon vanished from sight, the Lego Team began chuckle in relief and victory. "We did it!" Pinkie bounced around the others excitedly. "Yeah, we did," Sunset panted in exhaustion. "How about we... head back home now? I'm sure Tails and Twilight have had their own victory as well." "So that's the end?" Human Twilight asked as Fluttershy moved the minifigs of herself and her friends down the Forbidden Mountain's path. "Oh, there's only one last thing left for this story," Fluttershy smiled softly. "Yeah, the final FINAL battle!" Pinkie added before directing her attention to Canterlot City. As soon as Rainbow Dash landed the Tornado near Tails' Workshop, they saw what appeared to be a living creature made entirely of water. It had glowing yellow eyes, and the only solid thing of its body was its brain. "Th-That's Chaos!" Knuckles trembled with fear. "The God of Destruction!" "What?!" Applejack shook the echidna Guardian in rage. "Don't tell me we gotta fight HIM now!" Before Knuckles could reply, Chaos had already attacked and knocked out the others, five of the Chaos Emeralds floating behind it. It quickly rushed over to and knocked both of them out as well. Soon When the Lego Team came to, Chaos was already gone, along with... "The Chaos Emeralds!" Sunset was panicking now. "They're gone!" "And after all the trouble we went through to get 'em!" Rainbow Dash complained as they headed to the train station. "But what does Chaos plan to do with them..." Knuckles pondered. > Perfect Chaos > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few days later It was a clear sunny day in Canterlot City, with the citizens going about their daily lives. However, while life on the streets was going normally, what was going on under them was an entirely different story as the sewer waters began to shake from numerous vibrations. On the surface, all the manhole covers began to violently shake before several spouts of water erupted from the sewers. Everyone began to scream and run for their lives as more spouts of water burst from several buildings. The roads began to crack and shatter as they could not hold the pressure of all the water building underneath. The civilians had all managed to reach high ground just as a giant wave swept over their city. In a matter of minutes, all of Canterlot was flooded. Finally, a large explosion of water burst from the side of one of the buildings and took the shape of a dragon's face. The beast roared before opening and narrowing its green eye. "This is horrible..." Fluttershy whimpered as she and the others observed the destruction from the Lego Team Headquarters. "He's become Perfect Chaos..." Knuckles trembled and shook as Celestia turned off the TV. "He used the Emeralds to become that before. It's how he wiped out my ancestors." "But we managed to find them in the jungle," Twilight interrupted, pointing at the now dull Chaos Emeralds on Celestia's desk. Tails was doing a scan on the gems. "But they were... drained." "Makes sense," Sunset agreed. "He had no use for them anymore." "Actually," Tails spoke up. "He only absorbed the negative energies of the Emeralds. They can still be used if we can somehow reignite them." "Well, for now," Celestia began. "I want you to help with evacuating the city. The civilians won't last long in that environment." "Will do, ma'am!" Rainbow Dash saluted as Tails opened his refined portable Jump-Gate. The moment they stepped through, they were greeted by rain. In the center of the city was a large water beast with a dragon's head and numerous tentacles. "Oh, my perfectly good clothes..." Rarity whined as she shook her skirt to try to get the water out. Before anyone could comment, they noticed a large flying battleship that looked very familiar... "Eggman!" Twilight shouted. "He must be after Chaos too!" "The Egg Carrier 2 was made because something like this could happen!" Eggman's voiced declared from the ship's loudspeakers. "Now perish, you stupid beast!" Perfect Chaos just responded with a large beam from its mouth, causing the Egg Carrier 2 to crash nearby and Eggman was sent flying, tumbling around in his Egg Mobile. The Lego Team nodded at each other before splitting up and helping the citizens through the Jump-Gates to Headquarters. "Hey, Rainbow Dash?" The blue hedgehog asked as they raced to grab as many people as possible. "Yeah, Sonic?" "If we don't make it through this, I'm glad to have called you my friend." "I feel the same way," the rainbow-haired minifig grinned. As they led the latest group to the Jump-Gate, the Chaos Emeralds they were holding began to glow. "Huh? The Emeralds..." "Their positive energy must be reactivating!" Tails ran to them with the remaining five jewels. "Then we got a chance!" Sonic smirked as the Emeralds began to float around himself and Rainbow. "Go, Sonic!" Pinkie Pie cheered. "Go, Rainbow Dash!" The remaining civilians began to chant both of their names as the the Emeralds began to move faster around them until a bright flash of light surrounded them both. When it died down, both of them were now golden-colored and surrounded by a shimmering aura. "Whoa..." Rainbow looked over her new golden form in awe. She then noticed she was also floating without the use of wings. Sonic could only chuckle as he was in the same boat. "So what can we do?" Twilight asked before the duo flew off. "Help with the evacuation," Rainbow replied. "And if possible, try to do an awesome fight song?" Sonic beamed as they flew towards Perfect Chaos. Pinkie Pie had already pulled out their instruments from nowhere and set them up. "I got the perfect song," Sunset strummed her guitar before the Rainbooms began to play a hard rock tune. She took a deep breath before beginning to sing. Thunder, rain, and lightning. Danger, water rising. Clamor, sirens wailing. It's such a bad sign. Shadows, dark creatures. Steel clouds floating in the air. People run for shelter. What's gonna happen to us? All the steps we take, all the moves we make, all the pain at stake. I see the chaos for everyone. Who are we? What can we do? You and I are same in the way that we have our own styles that we won't change Yours is filled with evil and mine is not There is no way I can lose! Can't hold on much longer... But I will never let go! I know it's a one way track... Tell me now how long this'll last! I'm not gonna think this way... Nor will I count on others! Close my eyes and feel it burn... Now I see what I gotta do! Open your heart, it's gonna be alright. As they continued their song, Sonic and Rainbow Dash sped through the flooded and collapsed streets of Canterlot City, dodging the blasts from Perfect Chaos. Dashing through the god's body, they struck its brain, causing it to cry out and recoil in pain. "That got its attention!" Rainbow cheered as they repeated the process. After two more hits, Perfect Chaos began to get more aggressive in its attacks. But as they landed on one of the buildings, they suddenly returned back to their normal colors. "What happened?!" "Our Super forms must've run out!" Sonic clenched his fist before noticing several platforms were being suspended in mid-air by several geysers. "But we can use those to reach his brain!" He took off and leapt between the rising and falling platforms. Rainbow followed closely behind. When they got in close enough, Sonic unleashed a Homing Attack on the brain, causing Perfect Chaos to fall unconscious. They landed near their friends as Perfect Chaos began to shrink back into its base form. Knuckles approached the defeated god and gently patted its head. "Please..." he began as Chaos began to awaken. "Let's go home together." Chaos slowly nodded and took his hand. "They won!" Fluttershy cheered, accidentally dropping her tambourine onto Rarity's foot. The purple-haired minifig cried out in pain and anger. "So... guess we're gonna have to start rebuilding once the water drains..." Sunset nervously chuckled as the clouds began to part, revealing the sunshine. "I can help with that," Tails offered. "I mean, it looks like we're gonna be stuck here for a while so we might as well help out." "I'm afraid I can't help," Knuckles replied as he helped Chaos to the Jump-Gate. "The Master Emerald needs protection." "Maybe we need a little more help in case something like this happens again," Twilight mused. "Sonic, you wanna be a full-fledged member of the Lego Team?" "Thanks, but running freely is more my thing," Sonic sighed as he sat down, feeling exhausted from all the jumping. "But I'll stick around to help with the rebuilding." "And that's the end!" Pinkie Pie finished as she helped Twilight rebuild her destroyed city. The numerous blue studs scattered around the streets, representing water, were placed back into the box holding them and the large Lego sculpture of Perfect Chaos was taken from the center of the city and carefully placed into Rarity's box. "Where did you even find the time to build that?" Twilight straightened her glasses while Fluttershy straightened the vehicles and figures. "Oh, it took me about a year to finish it, and partially the reason why I wanted to use it in our story. I wanted to show it off." "Well, I must say it's an impressive model. Especially with you combining regular bricks with Bionicle parts for the tentacles and mouth." "Oh, mind if we keep this stuff here?" Rainbow asked as she finished packing up her own vehicles. "For tomorrow's story." Twilight sighed. "You're not gonna take no for an answer, so alright..." "Great!" Rainbow moved her boxes underneath the main table holding up Canterlot City as she and the others waved good-bye to Twilight. As Pinkie closed the basement door, Twilight took one last look at the Sunset minifigure before heading up as well. "Hope you also had fun today, Sunset," she whispered as she locked the basement door, not caring if the Lego figure heard her or not.
