It was beautiful day in Ponyville and the school had just ended and all the children was heading home, all had gotten and very good grade on their school assignment on famous ponies in Equestria history all but one. Scootaloo was walking out of the school house with her head hanging down, she did not get good grade on her paper. She had written a paper on Rainbow Dash but Cheerillee was not impress, so she told Scootaloo to write new paper on a pegasus that was not Rainbow Dash so she was on her way to the library to borrow a book.

“Hey Scootaloo.” Scootaloo turned around and out the school house came her best friends Sweetie Belle and Applebloom. “We are going to try to get out cutie marks in diving for pearls.” Sweetie Belle asked her.

“Sorry girls I have to go to the library to borrow a book, I have to write another paper on famous pegasus.”

“Didn’t you write one already?” Applebloom asked.

“Yeah, but was about Rainbow Dash and Cheerillee told me to write new one.”

“You wrote a paper about Rainbow Dash? You are really a loser blank flank.”

All three girls groaned when they heard that voiced, they looked in the direction of the voice and there stood Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon the most spoiled prats in Ponyville.

“Get lost Diamond Tiara, I’m not in the mood right now.” Scootaloo told her.

“What’s wrong blank flank? Are you afraid to heard the truth? That you are a loser.”

“I’m not a loser?” Scootaloo said with anger in her voice.

“But you are, you and your friends can’t get a cutie mark and you wrote a paper on Rainbow Dash, the task was to write about famous ponies in Equestria and I think that your hero don’t qualify.”

When Scootaloo heard that she was about to assault Diamond Tiara for talking badly about Rainbow Dash but luckily Sweetie Belle and Apple bloom held her back, Diamond and Silver left the school cackling like hyenas. When they were gone Sweetie and Apple bloom realised their friend.

“Why did you two hold me back? I want to hurt her.” Scootaloo asked them.

“We know Scootaloo but is it really worth it to get in trouble over a paper?” Sweetie Belle answered.

“I agreed with Sweetie Belle on this.” Said Apple bloom.

“Whatever, I’m going to the library.”

She left her friends and headed to the library. When she arrived at the giant tree she took a deep breath. “Here goes nothing.” She opened the door and walk inn, well inside she was met by a lot of books that was stacked on shelves. On the couch sat purple unicorn reading a book, her name is Twilight Sparkle.

When Twilight heard somepony closed the door she looked up from her book, she smiled when she saw who it was.

“Hello there Scootaloo, what can help you with.”

“Hello Twilight.” Scootaloo didn’t know what to say next, she was embarrassed to come to the library. ‘Best to just say it.’ Scootaloo thought. “Do you have any books on famous pegasus?”

Now was Twilight curios. “Why do you want a book on famous Pegasus? Can’t you just look up internet? Why borrow a book” She asked Scootaloo.

Scootaloo took a deep breath, the moment of truth. “A few days ago Cheerillee told us to write a paper about a famous pegasus and I chose Rainbow Dash but Cheerillee didn’t like that so I have to write a paper about a pegasus that are more famous than Rainbow. She also told me that I should read about in a book and not on the internet.”

“I have to agree with Cheerillee on this one Scootaloo, I don’t think that Rainbow Dash qualify as a school assignment.” Twilight told her.

Scootaloo couldn’t believe what she was hearing, here was one of Rainbow Dash best friends and she wasn’t defending her. She shook her head to get over the shock.

“But you girls have defeated Nightmare Moon and Discord, stopped and invasion of changeling and saved a hole kingdom, you even declined to become a princess and stopped being Celestia student.”

Twilight winch by that last part. “What those that last part has to do with Rainbow Dash?”

“Sorry, I was on a roll.” She had an innocent smiled. “But why don’t you think that Rainbow Dash is famous enough to write a paper on?”

“Because she isn’t, none of us is. None of us wanted to become famous, well maybe Rainbow wanted but the rest of us didn’t so I told Celestia to not mention our names to the media.” She went over to bookshelf. “If you want to write about a famous pegasus.” She grabbed a book that it stood ‘Famous pegasus’ on the front cover and handed it to Scootaloo. “Then I suggest the pegasus on page 64.”

Scootaloo opened the book and looked up page 64, on the page she saw a picture of a pegasus stallion that looked lit Spitfire from the Wonderbolts.

She read out the name out loud. “Blaze Fury? Who is that?”

That shocked Twilight, she couldn’t believe that a peagsus didn’t know who Blaze Fury was. “You don’t know who he is?” Scootaloo just shook her head. “He may be the most famous peagsus in Equestria history, even Fluttershy know who he is.”

“Then who is he?” Scootaloo asked Twilight.

“I think that you should read about Blaze yourself.” Twilight told her.

“Are you sure you don’t want to tell her it yourself? You read about Blaze almost every day.”

Said a voice from the kitchen that belonged to her assistant Spike, when Twilight heard that her cheeks became red as a tomato.

“Shut up Spike.” She shouted back at him.

“What? It’s true, you even talk about him in your sleep.”

Now Twilight’s whole face was red. “That’s is dragon boy you are dead.” She ran into the kitchen.

“Twilight, put down the frying pan.”

“You asked for it Spike.”

What Scootaloo heard next was that Spike was beaten several times by the frying pan so she walked backwards towards the door. When she was back at the orphanage she went straight to her room and closed her door and ock it, ever since Scootaloo can remember she has lived in the orphanage. She never knew her parents, the mare that run the orphanage said that she found Scootaloo on the door step when she was just a baby. At first Scootaloo would not believe her and that her parents would come for her but they ever came. At first she was hurt but she got over it.

She sat down on a chair by her desk and took out the book, she opened the book to page 64.

“Alright, let’s see what’s so special with this Blaze Fury.” She stared to read. “Blaze Fury was a pegasus that lived four hundred years ago.” She stared at those words. ‘Now that’s a long time ago.’ She thought. “Nothing is known about him before he became a royal guard at age eighteen, as soon he joined he proved that he was no normal pegasus. He was fast and stronger than a normal pegasus.” ‘I bet that he is as fast as Rainbow Dash, how am I kidding? No pony is faster than Rainbow Dash’

“He rose to the rank to captain at age nineteen.” When Scootaloo read that her eyes became wide. ‘Captain at age nineteen? Wow.’ “Princess Celestia saw possibility in him and wanted him to became her personal guard but he refused, he said that he joined to protect the ones he loved and the ponies of Equestria not to be her personal guard. five year later he became her personal guard.” ‘Weird, wonder what happened.’

“For six months, he was princess Celestia personal guard and he rose to the rank of general. Everything was well in Equestria but that change one fateful day; the zebra kingdom declared war against Equestria.” She reacted of those words. ‘Weird, it doesn’t say why they went to war. Maybe they forgot to include it.’ She thought. “The war went on for weeks and it looked like none of them had the advantage, until the last day of the war.”

Four hundred years ago, outside Trottingham.

Princess Celestia was breathing heavily, the battle had taken a toll on her. Her right wing was broken her left arm was numb and there was a crack in her horn. Beside her was a pegasus with red fur and it looked like his mane and tail was on fire, blood was running down his right arm and his forehead.

The pegasus looked over to Celestia. “I told you this would happened but did you listen? No, you always think you are right but this time you fuck up.”

“Alright already Blaze, you made your point.” Celestia said with frustration in her voice.

“Point? What point? There’s no point, I just want you to admit that you were wrong and I was right.”

As much she hated it he was right, she should have accepted the zebra king claim. But before she could say anything.

“Well, isn’t this nice.” They looked at the new voice and there stood zebra wearing dark brown cloak. “A princess and her personal guard arguing to the bitter end.”

This made Blaze groan. “Oh no, a zebra shaman.”

The shaman took out something from his cloak, it looked like a bottle. “You should have listen to your guard Celestia, this could have been avoided.” The shaman looked over the battlefield where there lay many bodies, ponies and zebras. Celestia knew that he was right but too tired to answered.

“No wise words Celestia? That’s too bad, then I see you in Tartarus.” He threw the bottle at Celestia.

Everything went in slow motion, Celestia tried to moved out of the way but her body would not move. Blaze just looked at bottle as it soared through the skies and towards Celestia, the mare he vowed to protect. He tried to move but his body had taken too much damaged.

‘I will not fail her.’ He managed to get his body to work, he leapt through the air and he barely managed to get in front of the bottle that was about to hit Celestia, when the bottle hit him it shattered and bright light appeared that was so bright that Celelstia and the shaman had to cover their eyes, when the light had died out they saw that Blaze had disappeared. Both Celestia and the shaman just looked at where Blaze disappeared, the shaman was furious.

“No, this was not supposed to happened. That was meant for you Celelstia.” He went back to his cloak. “But don’t worry, I have another one.”

Celestia fear arose, she didn’t won’t what happened to Blaze happened to her, she looked around to see if she could find a weapon. She found a sword on her left, she tried to use her magic but felt pain in her head. ‘That’s right, I have a crack in my horn.’ She grabbed the sword with her right arm and she threw it so hard she could at the shaman.

“Found it.” The shaman was about to throw another bottle at Celestia but before he came so far he felt something in his stomach, he looked down and saw a sword in his stomach. He stared to laugh. “Like I said Celestia, see you in Tartarus.” He collapsed on the ground.

Celestia was trying to catch her breath. “That was close.” She looked around her to see if she could see Blaze but he wasn’t there. “Blaze? Where are you?” Now answer.

Celestia and her guard searched for a month but found no sign of Blaze Fury, so he was declared missing in action. The zebra king declined that he had any acknowledge of the attack and that he would fine the ones responsible, when it came to Celestia and Equestria they were newer the same.

The ponies of Equestria mourn over the lose over the ponies that died in the attack, some of them blamed Celestia for the loss of their love once and Celestia didn’t blame them. Celestia was the one that was effected the most, after that day she never smiled again.

Scootaloo leaned back in the chair and said. “Wow.” She then looked at date in the book when Blaze disappeared and it read May 17. “Wait a minute.” She looked at calendar. “That’s today.”

Meanwhile in Canterlot castle.

The sun was setting in Equestria and Celestia was in her room sitting by her desk enjoying a class of vin while looking at an old photo. ‘I missed you Blaze.’ She was so lost in thought that she didn’t hear someone knocking on the door.

“Sister? Are you in there?” Said the voice from the other side. “I’m coming in.” In walked Celestia younger sister Luna, she looked over the room and saw that her sister was sitting by her desk, she could see tears in her sister eyes. ‘Is she crying?’

Luna walked over to her sister and put a hand on her sister that made Celestia jumped a couple meter in the air, she almost spilled her vin.

“Luna, is there something I can help you with?” She said while whipping away her tears, she then looked at her hand. ’It’s been a while since I have cried like this.’ Celestia thought.

“I’ve been knocking on your door for the last five minutes. Why didn’t you answer?”

“I was lost in my memories.” She handed Luna the picture, Luna took it.

On the picture was a stallion with armor. “Who is this stallion? His armor look old.”

“His name is Blaze Fury he was my personal guard four hundred years ago.” Celestia answered her. “Have you read about the war between Equestria and the zebra kingdom?” Luna nodded. “It was bloody war.”

“What happened to the Blaze Fury, did he die?” Luna asked her sister.

Celestia shocked her head. “No, he disappeared.”

“What do you mean the he disappeared?”

Celestia looked at her sister. “I thought you had read about the war.”

“Yes, but I want to hear it from you.”

Celestia took a deep breath. “A zebra shaman was about to throw a bottle on me but Blaze managed to get in front of me before it hit me, there was a bright light and then he was gone. I asked the zebra king two month later if he knew what happened but he would not answer me, so I the end I gave up.”

Luna was shocked. “You just gave up? What about Blaze?”

“We search for a month and didn’t find his body and I had no idea what happened to him.” She stared to cry. “I miss him every day.”

Luna couldn’t believe what see saw, her one sister crying over a stallion. She decided to give her a hug and Celestia hug her back.

“This stallion must have been special to you.”

“He was my friend, maybe my best friends four hundred years ago.”

“Tell me about him then.” Luna suggested.

Celestia broke the hug. “Well, when I first saw Blaze he looked just like a normal pegasus but that was on the surface. He was faster and stronger that your normal pegasus, he was also kind of handsome.” Luna had big grind on her face. “Shut up, nothing happened.” Celestia’s cheek became red.

Luna just laugh. “Relax Celestia.”

“Whatever, where was I?” She thought a minute. “Oh yes, when he was nineteen he became captain.”

“Captain at only nineteen years old? Wow.” Luna wondered just how good this pony was.

Celestia nodded in agreement. “I was amassed how skilled so I asked him to be my personal guard but he refused.”

That shocked Luna. “He refused to become your personal guard? I thought every guard want that honor.”

“I was also surprised and do you know what he said to me?” Luna shocked her head. “I didn’t become a guard to protect you, I become a guard to protect ponies in Equestria.”

“Now that’s bold, wait a minute. If he didn’t want to become your personal guard, why did he chance his mind?” Luna asked her sister.

“One day when he delivered some paper to me, he told me that he wanted to be my personal guard.”

Luna couldn’t help but question what her sister said. “Just like that? Did he ever told you why he accepted you offer?”

Celestia shook her head. “No and I never asked him.”

“What was so special about this Blaze?”

“He was one of the most loyal ponies I had ever met and he was loyal to the end.” Luna could hear the sadness in her sister voice.

“Huh, he could probably give Rainbow Dash a run for her money.” Celestia laughed of that. “You miss him, don’t you?”

“More that you can imagen.”

Outside of Trottingham in the woods a blight light appeared scaring the animals that lived there, when the light died down a body of stallion lay on the ground. “What happened?” The stallion asked no one in particular.

He looked around. “Trees? Why are there tress here?” He tried to stand up but pain in his body made so that he fell to the ground. “Celestia? Are you here?” No one answered him. “I need to find her.” He pushed through the pain and managed to stand up, he looked around and saw light in the distant. “There.” He walked toward the light.

Just outside Trottingham was a house and there lived a family by the named of apples, on the terrace sat a pony by the name of AppleZack or just Zack. He was sitting in a chair enjoying the night, then the door open and out came his wife Krystal who was and blue unicorn. It was very unusual that an apple married a unicorn but Zac didn’t care, she wrapped her hands around her husband and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

“Come to bed honey, it’s lonely without you.” She said in a seduce voice.

“In a moment.” He answered.

“You better hurry or I might fell asleep without you, again.”

He rolled his eyes of what she said. “That happened one time.”

“Yeah, yeah. Just don’t stay out to long, you need to get into town tomorrow.”

She was about go in but stopped when she saw something in the dark, she narrowed her eyes to see better and she could make out a body.

“Zack, there somepony out there.”

Zack got up from the chair and walked to his wife. “Where.” Krystal pointed out in the dark but Ace saw nothing. “Krystal, there’s nothing out there.”

Krystal just huffed, she lighted up her horn and went out in the dark.

“Krystal, don’t go out in the dark alone.”

He went after her and he caught up to her they both saw pony coming towards them, he was in armor and he was hurt. All he could say was. “Help me.” Then he pasted out.

Blaze was sleeping peacefully until the sun shined through the cracks in the curtains. “Damn it Celestia, why do you have to make the sun so bright?” He tried to turn in the bed but then he felt the pain in his body, he opened his eyes and sat up in the bed. He looked around and what he saw was an unknown room.

“Where am I? This is not my room.”

He was about to get out from the bed when the door open and a stallion stepped into the room, the stallion had orange fur with blond hair.

“I see that your awake, that’s good. You been asleep for two days.” Said the stallion as he took a chair and place it beside of the bed, he sat down in the chair. “How do you fell?”

Blaze tried to move. “I have pain in my head, ribs, my right arm hurt and I think that one of my wings are broken. Beside that I’m find but I don’t remember how I got in this bed.” He looked around. “Where am I?”

“You are on a farm just outside Trottingham, my name is AppleZack and I live her with my wife Krystal and our son. My wife found you not far from our house.”

Blaze ran the name through his mind a couple of times. “I’m not familiar with the name Trottingham.”

Zack was a little shocked when he heard that. “You never heard of Trottingham?” Blaze just shook his head. “This town has been her for two hundred years.”

Blaze wasn’t sure if he heard right. “Did you say two hundred years?” Zack nodded. “What is the date?”

“Today is the May 19 and year is 1001.”

Blaze’s eyes widen when he heard the year. “Did you say that year was 1001?” Zack just smiled. ‘That’s not possible, I been gone for over four hundred years. This can’t be, I have to report back to Celestia.’

He tried to get out of the bed but Zack stopped him. “Wow, easy their partner. You aren’t going anywhere with those injuries.”

He was right, Blaze moved to fast and he felt the pain surge through him. ‘He’s right, I can barely move.’ Blaze thought for himself.

“The doctor said that you have to wait for the injuries to heal before you can fly, you can stay here until you have recovered. Now come and have breakfast with me and my wife.”

Zack got up from the chair and walked out of the room while Blaze stared down in bed. ‘Four hundred years, how is that possible? It had to be that zebra shaman, I got to get back to Canterlot and let Celestia know that I’m alive.’ Then his stomach started to growl. ‘Breakfast sounds good right now.’ He got up from the bed very carefully, he saw some clothes on a chair he assumed that was for him. After he got dressed he walked after Zack.

When he got out in the main room he saw something he had never seen before, it was a big black box. ‘What is that?’ He just shrugged it off for now and went into the dinner room and there he saw something that made his blood boiled, two unicorns. One was mare and the other was a little colt. ‘Why did it have to be unicorns.’ He kept staring at them with hate in his eyes.

They were both sitting at the dinner table, the mare was busy with feeding the colt while Zack was doing something in the kitchen. Then Krystal looked at Blaze and what she was hate in his eyes and that scared her.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

As soon she asked him that question the hatred in eyes disappeared. “I don’t know what you’re taking about.” Blaze took a seat at the table, he saw Zack standing in the kitchen.

“We never got your name.” Krystal asked him.

“it’s Blaze Fury.”

‘That’s name sounds familiar.’ Krystal thought as she took out her phone.

When Blaze saw the thing, she took out he was as confused when he saw that big black box, then Zack came into dinner room with the food. He noticed that his wife was using her mobile phone. “Really Krystal, you yell at me when I use my phone at the dinner table but it’s okay that you can use it?” He asked his wife, while taking a seat on the other side of the table of his wife.

“Shut up, I’m just checking something.”

Blaze just sat there, lost. He had never heard the word phone before. ‘Somehow I feel outdated.’ He was brought back to the real world by Zack setting a plate of food he had never seen before, the food was stacked atop each other and they were very small.

“What’s the matter, it looked like you have never seen pancakes before.” Said Zack to Blaze.

Blaze shook his head. “I have never seen or heard of ‘pancakes’ before.”

That got Zack to raise an eyebrow, he was about to ask why but the Krystal spoke.

“it’s no wonder why he has never heard of pancakes or seen a mobile phone before, they didn’t exist four hundred years ago.”

“What do you mean Krystal?” He asked his wife, she just gave him her phone. “Blaze Fury, died four hundred years ago.” He looked at the picture and then at Blaze, then back to the picture. “How is this possible? It says here that you died 400 years ago, how can you be alive?”

“I don’t know, what I remember is that I was in a battle against the zebra kingdom, then a zebra shaman threw a potion at princess Celestia so I took it and the next thing I remember that I landed on the ground in a forest.”

None of them were convinced. “Do you expect us to believe that? I learn in school that Blaze died four hundred years ago. If you are him then prove it.” Said Zack.

“Alright then.” Blaze looked around the table, he then saw his own glass. “Here.” He gave the glass to Zack. “Place this glass on the other side of the table.”

Zack question why but did it anyway, he took the glass and place it on the other side of table so Blaze couldn’t take it without getting up.

“There, I have placed it on the other side of the table.” Said Zack.

“Then where is the glass?”

“It’s right there…” Zack and Krystal looked where Zack had placed the glass but it was gone. “How the...? Where is it?”

“Here.” Blaze pointed at glass, it was back at it original place.

Both Zack and Krystal was stunned over what happened while their son just giggle.

“I read that Blaze Fury was fast but that is not right, how did you do that?”

Blaze just shrugged his shoulder and stared to eat the pancakes while the couple just stared at him, eventually they also stared to eat breakfast.

The night had arrived and Zack decide to watch some television, when Blaze saw the tv come life he tried to punch it but he only hurt his hand. Zack tried to explain how the tv work but Blaze wasn’t interested, he decided to get some air. He just stood there, looking at the moon.

‘So much has changed, I can’t believe it, four hundred years. All my friends are dead, only Celestia is left. What I’m I supposed to do now?’ Then the door open and Krystal step out.

“A bit for your thought.” She teased him.

Blaze was not amused. “Mind your own business unicorn.”

Krystal did not like that last part. “Hey I got a name and its Krystal. I saw the gaze you gave me and my son when you arrived in the kitchen, what have we done to you?”

When she said that Blaze realized that they had done nothing and that made him feel bad, very bad. He turned around and bowed.

“I would like to apologize for my actions, to you and your son.”

Krystal was surprise for what happened, one minute he was hostile and now he was friendly.

“That’s okay, you don’t have to bow. But, why do you hate unicorns?”

That question catch him of guard, it was best to be honest. “Let’s just say that I have had some bad experience when it comes to unicorn, I did not mean to take that on you and your son.”

“Oh, ok. So, what where you think?” She asked him.

“Just that has been over four hundred years, do you believe that I’m Blaze Fury?”

She leaned against a beam. “My husband doesn’t believe you but yes I believe that you are him, I learned in school that zebras had the knowledge to create potions that can trap others in time. Just what happened to.”

Blaze smiled. “Thanks.”

She smiled back. “Your welcome, so what are you going to when your healed?”

“I’m going to reported back to princess Celestia, let her know that I’m alive.”

“I’m sure she will be happy to hear that.”

“Let’s hope so, what’s your story?”

“I’m from Manhattan, grew up there most of my life. Move here to Trottingham four years ago, then I meet Zack and we feel in love, we got married one year later.”

Blaze could hear her mood dropped when she said the last part, it was sadness. “Was there something wrong with your wedding?” He asked.

She sighed. “You can say that. You see, his family the Apples have a tradition.”

“What kind of tradition?” He asked her.

“That they only can marry earth ponies.”

When Blaze heard that he was shocked, that a member of the apples could only marry earth ponies. He was disgusted by the thought.

“Something tells me that the rest of the family wasn’t very happy about your husband decision.”

“You can say that, the only one that showed up at our wedding was my parent, some off my friends and five members of his family.”

“Wait a minute, did you just say that five members of his family showed up?” She nodded. “If he broke their tradition why did five of them show up?”

“Some of his family thinks that it is a stupide tradition, four of them live Ponyville and the last one live in Appleloosa.”

“I have to agree with those five, that is stupide tradition. You cannot let others decide who you should fall in love with, you are the one who decide that.”

Krystal smiled of what he said. “Thanks, I need that.”

“You’re welcome.”

It took Blaze two week until he was fully healed and he almost went mad, all he wanted to was to fly but with a that was not happening. While he was getting better he decide to find out what has happened the time he was gone, it seems that the world has change a loot. The technology has improved a lot, they had something that called computers, video games, phones. In the end, Blaze gave up learning about that stuff.

There was one thing that caught his attention, princess Luna. When he grew up his mother told him stories about Nightmare Moon, it gave him nightmares. And now she is back, if she ever tried to go into his dreams without permission she would find out what happened when he get’s angry.

When de the day finally arrived all of them were standing outside the house, the doctor that had patch up Blaze had just left, he had just given him the okay to fly again. Blaze was standing a few meters from the house with his wings spread.

“Do you really think he is as fast as the story books says?” Zack asked his wife.

“Who knows, let’s just wait and see.” She answered him while holding their son in her arms.

Blaze started to flap his wings a few times and the family watch excitement, he flapped them again. ‘Good, nothing feels broken.’ He then took to the sky so fast that they lost track of him right away. They just looked where he was standing.

“Holy s…” His wife gave him a look that made Zack shut up. “Holy moly, that’s fast.”

Blaze flew as fast as he could up in the air, felling the wind blow through is fur. ‘I have missed this.’ He flew so high he could, then tucked in his wings and dropped down to earth. Falling faster and faster.

“What the heck is he doing?” Krystal asked her husband.

“I don’t know, it looks like his falling.” He answered her.

“Falling? Why would he do that?”

Blaze came closer and closer to the ground and the couple became worried, Zack was about to run over so he could catch Blaze. But when Blaze was a couple of meters from the ground he spread his wings and landed in something they would call a hero landing, his right leg was bent while his left was straight. He created so much wind when he landed that he knocked the couple over, when they sat up right their hair was all messy.

“Sorry about that, I should had warned you about that.” Said Blaze with and awkward tone.

They stood up. “That’s okay.” Said Zack while he brushed the dust off himself, his wife said nothing while their son just giggled. “I read that you were good but seeing it in action, that is another thing.”

“Thanks.”

Blaze went over to his armour that lying on the ground near the terrace and stared to but on himself. “I better get back to Canterlot and report back to princess Celestia, she has to know that I’m alive.”

That made the family a little sad. “Yeah, I guess so.” Said Zack, when walked over to Blaze and held out his hand. “It was honour meting you.” Blaze accepted the hand.

“Thanks for letting me stay at your home, I promise that I will repay you and your family somehow.” He put on his helmet.

“Don’t worried about it.”

“That won’t do, I always repay me debt.”

Blaze took a few steps back and spread his wing, he took of faster than Zack and his family could react to and then he headed towards Canterlot.

Blaze flew closer and closer to Canterlot, he never like that city. A city with rich ponies who only cared about making money and that made him sick. He hovered a few meters from the castle, he looked up at it. And it was exactly like he remembered it.

‘This place hasn’t change much, that’s for sure.’ He thought, he flew towards the main door.

He landed in front the castle doors, the guards by the castle door looked at the strange pegasus and his armor, they just gave him a questionable look.

“Can we help you sir?” Asked the guards that was a unicorn.

“Yeah, you can go and tell Celestia that general Blaze Fury is back and I want to talk to her.” Blaze told the guards.

The other guard that was a pegasus snorted. “Yeah right, Blaze Fury died over four hundred years ago. You can’t be him.”

After hearing that Blaze gave them a glare that made them both nervous. “This is an order from your superior officer, go and get princess Celestia now.” He said with some force in his voice.

“Our superior officer is captain Shining Armor not you so take a hike.” Said the unicorn.

Right now, Blaze was pissed off, nopony could talk to him like that. “Either you get the princess or I’m going to use your head like battering ramp.” Those words made both guards laugh and that was big mistake.

Inside the castle the servant was doing their business and guards was standing guard, everything was peacefully. Until the main door open with a bang and one guard flew through it, then a pegasus walk in holding another guard in one of his hand, dragging the guard on the floor. The pegasus was breathing heavily.

“Now, can somepony tell me where princess Celestia is.”

Sometimes Celestia don’t understand why she bother having these meetings, where ponies can come and talk to her about ideas they have. The only ones that comes are the rich one and they are so boring. She had spent the last ten minutes listen to rich snob talking about something, she didn’t know what he was saying anymore because she had stopped listening to him five minutes ago. She just wishes that someone could interrupt this meeting, then the door open and there stood Shining Armor and he was breathing heavily.

“Princess Celestia, I’m apologize for disturbing you and your guest but there’s a problem in the main hall.” She was happy that her wish had come true.

“What’s the meaning of this Shining Armor and why does it look like you have run a mile?” She had to keep her cool, but inside she was happy.

He tried to calm himself down. “I’m sorry to interrupted but like I said there’s a problem in the main hall.”

That caught Celestia’s attention. “What kind of problem?” She asked him.

“There’s stallion that is causing havoc in the main hall, none of our guard can stop him.”

“What does this stallion look like Shining Armor.” She asked.

“I don’t know, one of the guard told me about him and then I ran here to tell you.”

Celestia got up from her chair. “Well, let’s go and talk to this stallion. If you gentlecolts will excuse me.” She left before the rich ponies could say something.

When they arrived at the main hall they could see that the stallion was a pegasus and that he was wearing armour that looked very old, some guard was standing with their swords and spears pointing him, around the stallion lay dozen unconscious guards on the floor and they were unconscious, he was standing so they only could see his back. Shining did not recognize him but Celestia did.

She wasn’t sure if she saw right. “Blaze Fury, is that you?”

That got the attention of Shining and all the guards in the room, Blaze turned around and he didn’t look happy.

“So, you remember my name. I’m touched.” He said with anger in his voice.

“I thought you were dead.”

That made him even more angrier. “Do I look dead to you?” He half shouted.

“No, you don’t. Guards, stand down.” All the guards hesitated, they looked at each other for advice. “I gave you all and order, I said stand down.” She said with more force in her voice, the guards lowered their weapons. “Go back to your post and bring the unconscious guards on the floor to the infirmary.” The guards did as she said.

Celestia looked at Shining. “Captain, cancel all of my appointments for the rest of the day, tell them that I’m with a friend and I will not be disturbed.”

Shining couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “Are you serious your highness?”

Celestia looked into his eyes with a look that made his blood freeze. “Are you disobeying a direct order?” He shook his head. “Good, now do as I say.”

“Yes, princess Celestia.” He saluted.

Blaze who was watching it all was not impressed. “Is this the level of your guards Celestia? It’s pathetic.”

That did Shining not like. “Who are you to judge my guards.”

Before Shining could blink Blaze was standing right in front of him, that made him fall on his ass. “A guard is supposed to obey princess Celestia no matter what and what I just saw was pathetic, your suppose ‘guards’ hesitated when she gave them an order. Maybe you should get some new guards that can actually obey her orders.”

This mad Shining very angry. “Why you…” That is all he could say before Celestia interrupted.

“That’s enough Shining Armor, as much as I hate to admit but general Blaze Fury is right. You did crappy job training these guards, now get up and get back to work.”

Shining mouth fell to the floor when he heard that, he got up. “But princess…”

“Are you questions my words again?” Shining shook his head. “Good, now; GET BACK TO WORK.”

That did it, those guards who wasn’t unconscious help those who was and Shining and the rest went back to work, Celestia sighed and then she looked at Blaze who had big smile on his face.

“What are you smiling at?” She asked him.

“You said that I was right.” He said with some pride in his voice.

She just rolled her eyes of what he said. “You haven’t chance that’s for sure, let’s talk more private in my room.”

They walked away leaving Shining alone. ‘Can he really be Blaze Fury? The legendary guard.’ Shining thought to himself.

When they arrived at Celestia’s room Blaze saw two guards standing guard, both of them were unicorn. Blaze did not like that and Celestia knew that.

“Both of you are dismissed.” Both guards change looks. “I gave both of you an order.” That got their attention, they left in a hurry.

Blaze watched as they left and again he was not impressed, he was about to say something but Celestia gave him a look that told him not do. They enter her room. Well inside Blaze could see that nothing has changed, the usual bed, dress and desk. Then he saw Philomena, they looked eyes and it looked like they stared a staring contest. Then Philomena let out a cry and flew out the window.

Celestia watched as her phoenix flew out the window, she then looked at Blaze. “Every time you enter my room you and Philomena starts a staring contest and then she flies out the window, why’s is that?” She asked Blaze.

Blaze just shrugged his shoulders. “Beat’s me, I don’t think she likes me very much.”

Celestia smiled but when she saw that Blaze was not in a good mod the smile disappeared, she went over to her desk and grabbed a bottle and glass.

“Do you want something to drink Blaze?”

“No, I don’t want a drink what I want to know is why you gave up looking for me.”

She poured some vin in to her glass. “I gave up because I could not find any sign of you, you had just disappeared.”

Blaze was not happy with that answer. “That’s no excuse, you have a horn on your head, you could have used it.”

Celestia took a sip of the wine. “I did, I searched for for a month and I found nothing.” She said in calm voice.

“And yet you declared me dead, you don’t do that unless you see a dead body.” He shouted at her.

Celestia slammed her free hand on the table. “What was I supposed to do? You just disappeared, I tried to ask the zebra king, but he would not say anything.” She said in a stern voice.

Blaze crossed his arms. “Typical zebras, is there a reason you wanted to talk with me?”

“Yes.” Celestia sat down on her chair with a glass of wine in her hand. “I want to know what happened to you four hundred years ago.”

“You want to know what happened? I tell you what happened, I saved your sorry ass from a mad zebra shaman. He hit me some potion and then next thing I know I appeared in a forest near Trottingham, a town I never had heard of.”

“That town was built two hundred years ago.” She then saw that Blaze was not in the mod for history lesson. “Then what?”

“A stallion and his wife help me get better, that took a week and then I flew here. End of story.”

“What was their names?”

“Do you really think I’m going to tell you that?”

“No, but it was worth a try.” She took a sip of her wine. “What are you going to do now? Now that you are you alive and all.”

“I don’t know, you tell me. You are the wise one.”

Celestia but down the glass on her desk. “Tell you what, why don’t we find you a room and then you can think about what you want to do next.” She got up and headed towards the door, but she didn’t get far.

“Don’t bother showing me the way, I know the to the guest rooms.” Blaze walked out from her room faster than she could react.

She just stared where he stood. ‘I have forgotten how fast he is, I think I’ll never get used to that.’ She shocked her head ‘I hope that he will be okay.’ She headed out herself to continue with her duties.

As Blaze walked thought the halls of the castle he got many looks from ponies, many of them were of fear but some of them were out of curiosity. That part came from the pegasus, they were trying to confirm that he was really Blaze Fury. Ever since they were kids they read about how fast he has been and now here he was, walking through the castle. Blaze just ignored the looked he got.

Blaze stopped outside a door he knew was a guestroom, one out of thirty, he didn’t understand why there was so much guestrooms. Just opposite of the door stood an pegasus guard, he had orange and his tail was blue. The guards just keep staring at him with widen eyes.

“What?” Blaze asked the guard.

The guard blinked a couples of time, then he realized that he was staring at his idol. Then the guard tried to look elsewhere then Blaze, but it didn’t work.

“Is there something you want?” Blaze asked the guard.

The guard mustered all the courage he had which right now was very low. “Are you really Blaze Fury.” He managed to get out, somehow.

“Last time I checked.” Blaze isn’t one to have fun but in this chase, he wanted to have some fun with this guard.

“How do I know that you aren’t some fake?” The guard asked with fear in his voice.

Blaze couldn’t help but smile. ‘This pegasus is bold, I give him that.’ He thought. “I don’t know, where is your helmet?”

Now the guard was confused. “My helmet? It’s on my…” He felt for his helmet and notice that it was gone, he stared to panic. “Oh no, I can’t lose my helmet again. The captain is going to have my head if he finds out.”

Blaze just couldn’t believe what he saw, here was a solider that stared to panic over a missing helmet. It was pathetic.

Blaze grabbed the soldier’s shoulders and slammed him against the wall. “Call down and looked at my head.”

The solider did that and he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. “You have my helmet, but how?”

Blaze let go of him. “You wanted proof that I am Blaze Fury.” He removed the helmet from his head and gave it back to the soldiers. “There’s your proof.”

The soldiers took it back with a smile on his face. “You are really Blaze Fury.” The pegasus put the helmet back on his head and then he saluted. “It’s an honour to meet you sir.”

Blaze just rolled his eyes of what the guard did. “Stand down soldier, I don’t think I am a general anymore. To be honest, I don’t think I’m a solider anymore.” He said that last part with some sadness in his voice, he picked up his helmet which was on the floor and put it under his arm.

The solider lowered his hand. “If you say so.”

Blaze pointed at the door. “Is this room taken?” The solider shook his head. “Good, because I’m taking it.” He was about to turned the knob to the door. “What’s your name solider?”

“It’s Flash Sentry sir.”

Blaze smiled. “Nice to meet you Flash.” He went into to room to relax, leaving Flash with a big smile on his face.

When he entered the he first thing he saw was a giant tv, a radio and a small fridge. ‘Technology.’ He just shook his head and went over to chair and removed his armor, he then went over to the tv and took the remote control and pressed the ‘power’ button. Up on the came a unicorn mare that was sitting behind a desk.

“…and that is how you make butter. In other news, next week the king of the zebra kingdom is coming to Equestria to sign a peace treaty after four hundred years. It has been over four hundred years since Equestria and the zebra kingdom was at war, since that day the tension between the two countries has been very fragile. But last week the king said it was time to burry that war ax and bring peace between the two countries, he said that what happened four hundred years ago is in the past and it was time we left it there and looked towards the future.” She shuffles some paper. “And now sports.” Blaze turned off the tv.

He placed the remote control back where he found it. “So, the zebra king is coming to Equestria next week. They may have chance over four hundred years but I don’t trust them.” He then sniffed the air, he smelt a bad odor. ‘What’s that smell?’ He then sniffed himself, he winced back. “That would be me, I better take a shower.” He went to the bathroom to do just that.

After he was finished with the shower he went back to the room and looked at it, right then he felt like he didn’t belong there at all. ‘What am I doing?’ He walked over to the balcony doors and open them and stepped out, as soon as he did that he could feel the wind blow on his fur. After he was finished with the shower he decided to smell his t-shirt and that was a mistake, it smelled very bad, so he just walked out in his pants. “Time to fly a little.” He spread his wings and took to the sky.

After her talk with Blaze, Celestia had to explained to the nobles why she had to leave, they were not happy but Celestia didn’t really care. She was just happy that Blaze showed up and interrupted the meeting, she wasn’t so happy that he had injured her guards. After that she decide to find him and see if he had found a room to sleep in.

She was walking down the castle hall looking for him, she had asked some of the ponies that worked in the castle where Blaze had gone to and now she was walking in that direction. After a while she saw a pegasus guard with a big smile on his face. ‘Sometimes tells me that Blaze have talk with this guard.’ She couldn’t help but smile.

She walked up to the guard. “Excuse me.” When Flash saw who it was he saluted, he did it a little too hard, he hit his head. Celestia couldn’t help but giggle a little of that, she collected herself quickly. “Have you seen Blaze Fury? I don’t know where he went.” She asked the guard.

“He took the guestroom over there your highness.” He said while rubbing his head, he pointed at the closet door to them.

Celestia nodded. “Thank you.” She walked over to the door and knocked on it, no answer. “Blaze, are you in there?” Still no answer, she turned to the guard. “Are you sure he went in this room? She asked him.

“Yes, your highness, I saw it my own eyes.” Flash answered her.

Celestia just nodded, she decided to open the door very carefully. She poked her head in to the room. “Blaze, are you in here?” She looked around and she saw no signed of him. ‘Where is he?’ She walked into the room, she could see his armor lying in a chair. ‘He would never leave without his armor, that I know.’ She couldn’t hear any movement in the bathroom. ‘He’s not in there.’ Then she saw that the balcony door was open, she walked over to it and went out. She looked around the sky and then she noticed an orange tail hanging from a cloud. ‘There you are.’ She spread her wings and flew towards the cloud.

When she arrived at the cloud she could see Blaze just sitting there, what really caught her attention was that he wasn’t wearing a shirt. She could see his firm body, Celestia could feel her cheeks became warm. “Just take a picture already, it would last longer.” That got her back to reality.

She cleared her throat. “May I sit?” She asked him.

Blaze just shrugged his shoulder. “It’s a free country and you are the ruler, do what you want.”

She sat down beside him. “Those things are true.”

They just sat there looking over Canterlot, Celestia looked over to Blaze just wondering how he was holding up. ‘It must not be easy for him, waking up after four hundred years and finding out that Equestria has change so much.’ She couldn’t help but feel bad for him.

“Do you feel outdated Celestia?” Blaze asked her.

That question surprised here. “Where did that come from?”

“When I woke up after I returned I saw all the new things, like a tv and mobile phone I felt like I didn’t belong in this new Equestria. I’m going to ask you again, do you feel outdated?”

“I have to say no, I ‘grew’ up with all the technological wonder that pushed Equestria forward. You could talk to my sister, she had trouble adjusting to all this new stuff.”

“Ah yes, nightmare Moon. Why would I talk to the one who tried to create eternal night in Equestria?”

“My sister has change since that day.” Celestia said with some bride in her voice.

“Whatever you say.” Blaze sighed. “Is there a reason why you came to see me?” He asked her.

“Actually yes.” She went for an envelope in her pants and gave it to Blaze. “Your sister gave me this envelope two weeks after I told her that you disappeared, she told me to hold on to is and give it to you when you returned. I guess she believe that you were alive.”

Blaze took the envelope and read what was write on the front of it. “To my brother when he returns.” He smiled a little of that. “That’s my little sister’s handwriting that’s for sure.” He opened it and stared to read that letter.

“Dear Blaze, if you are reading this letter then it means that you have returned to Equestria, princess Celestia told me that you had died in battle but I didn’t believe here. I asked her if she found your body but she said no and knew that you were alive, so I decide to write this letter to you. When you return I want you to live your life your way and don’t let others to get in your way, I don’t know when you will return but when you do I want you to remember that you have sister that will always love you. Your sister Wind Breeze.”

Blaze couldn’t take it, he broke down in tears. “After all this time, she still makes me cry.”

Celestia smiled. “I only meet you sister when she gave me that letter, she looked like a nice pony.”

“She was always kind to other ponies.”

“Then why were she in a hospital?” Celestia asked him.

Blaze took a deep breath. “She was sick with a disease, I can’t remember what’s it’s call but what I remember that it was no cure and she was dying.” Celestia could see more tears fall from his eyes. “She is the reason I took the job as your personal guard, I needed the money for the hospital bill.”

For the first time in four hundred years Celestia heard the reason, it was for his sister. That made her think about Luna and what she did to her over a thousand years ago, what Blaze did was noble but what she did was selfish.

“That was very kind what you did to your sister.” She told him.

“After our parents died I swore that I would look after her, she was all that I had left.” He lay down on the cloud. “Now it’s only me that’s alive while she is gone, I would say it is irony if not it was so sad.”

Celestia didn’t know what to say, a big brother out lived his little sister like this. That’s not fair. She was about to get up and leave and give him some alone time, but then she happened to look at the letter.

“Blaze, I think there’s more on your letter.”

He lifted up and stared to read the last line. “It seems that my sister created a bank account in my name four hundred year ago, it looked like she wanted me to have money when I came back.” He told her.

“There only one bank in Canterlot so that should be easy, why don’t we two go there tomorrow after breakfast and see how much you have.”

He nodded. “Probably best that you are coming with me, something tells that they won’t believe me that I am me.” He chuckled a little of what he said.

Celestia smiled. “Probably.” She got up. “Well, I’m heading back to the castle. You are coming?”

Blaze shook his head. “Not yet, I’m going to stay her a little longer.”

“Alright, but don’t stay up to late.” She said in a teasing voice.

Blaze just rolled his eyes. “Yes mother.” Celestia jumped of the cloud and flew back to the castle leaving Blaze alone. "What am I going to do?"

Dead bodies lay on the ground, everywhere. Luna walked through what look like a mass grave, she could she dead ponies everywhere, it made her sick in her stomach. ‘Who could dream such thing?’ She thought as she walked through the dream of the pony, she had never seen anything like this before in her lives. She then came to a pony she had seen before; Blaze Fury. He was sitting on the ground surrounded by dead body, he was holding a unicorn I his arms but she couldn’t see the ponies face.

Blaze was holding the pony and screaming, Luna tried to hear what he was screaming but for some reason she couldn’t hear him. ‘What’s wrong with my magic? Why can’t I hear him?’ She thought as she watch Blaze. Then all of sudden he stopped, he then started to look around. ‘Does he know I’m here? No, that’s impossible. I should be invisible.’ Blaze then got up.

“Alright, who is here? Show yourself.”

Blaze then stared to walk around, looking for culprit. ‘How can he know that I’m here?’ Luna started to get nervous.

Blaze stopped walking. “If you don’t want to show yourself, then I will force you out.” He then closed his eyes and when he did Luna felt a powerful pulse coming from him.

When Luna felt pulse, she could fell that she was losing control, somehow Blaze was pushing her out from the dream. ‘How is he doing this? He is pushing me out from the dream.’ As soon she thought that she was pushed out from the dream and she was back in her room.

Blaze woke up in his bed, breathing heavily. He looked around and notice that he was back into the room he was sleeping in, he looked at the clock on the nightstand and saw that it was 4:30 am. ‘Who the hell was in my dream?’ He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths to calm himself. ‘Calm down Blaze, who can go into pony’s dreams like that.’ There was only on pony who could, he opened his eyes and he was pissed off. “Nightmare Moon.” He got up from the bed and walk to the door, he opened it and disappeared.

Luna was sitting on her bed trying to catch her breath. ‘How did he do that? No one has ever managed to push me out from a dream before.’ She was about to get but then she felt a hand on her neck and before she could react she was pinned against the wall, she tried to remove the hand but it was too strong. She saw who it was and when she saw the anger in the eyes of the pony she became afraid, very afraid. It was Blaze.

“Well, Well. Is it not Nightmare Moon? I should have known that you would poke into my dream.” He brought her closer so they were face to face. “I’m only going to say this once; Stay the hell out of my dream, if I see you in my dreams one more time you are going find out what happened when I really get mad. Do I make myself clear?” Luna tried to say something but his hand was too tight, she barely managed to nod. “I don’t care that you are the princess of the night, I never gave you premission to enter my dream. From now on, stay the hell out of them.”

He let go of her and she land on the floor trying to regain her breath, she looked up and she saw that he was gone already. She leaned against the wall, pulled her legs closer to her chest and stared to cry. She was afraid, really afraid.

Celestia was walking toward the dining room with a with a smile on her face, she has a good week so far. Blaze, a friend from the past was alive and came back yesterday and now, now she was on her way to eat breakfast with her sister and one of her best friend.

She opened the doors to the dining room, when she entered she walked into a room that could fit forty guests. ‘Why did I make it so big?’ She just shrugged it off, she looked for her sister who was usually in the dining room before her. She looked at where her sister was usually sitting but she wasn’t there, she couldn’t see Blaze either. ‘That’s weird, where are they?’ She then saw one of the servant come into the room. “Excuse me.” The servant looked Celestia. “Has my sister eaten already?”

The servant shook her head. “No, your highness, no one has seen her.”

Celestia nodded. “What about Blaze Fury, has he been her?” The servant shook her head. “Thank you.” The servant bowed and walked to the kitchen. Celestia stood there scratching her head. ‘I wonder where Luna could be, maybe she is still in her room. I better go and check on her. I’ll talk to Blaze afterwards.’ She stared to walk towards her sister room.

When she arrived at the doors to her sister room she could see two guards who was bat ponies standing there, they saluted. “Is my sister in her room?” She asked the two guards.

They lowered their hand. “Yes, your highness, she hasn’t left her room yet.” Said one of the guards.

Celestia open the door and walked in, it was pitch black inside. Celestia light her horn so she could see better. “Luna? Are you here?” She didn’t get any answer, instead she heard crying. “Luna?” She lit up the room with her magic and she saw her sister siting on the floor with her back against the wall, crying. “Luna.” Celestia ran over to her sister. “Are you okay?” She asked in a concern voice.

Before Celestia could do anything, Luna grabbed her in a hug. Celestia wrapped her arms around her crying sister.

“He is very scary.” Luna managed to say between the tears.

“Who is scary?” Celestia asked her.

“Blaze Fury.” Luna said in a shaking tone.

When Celestia heard that she knew what had happened. “You went into his dream, didn’t you?” Luna nodded, Celestia sighed. “I should have warned you, he doesn’t like magic very much.”

Luna looked up at her sister. “What do you mean? Shouldn’t I have gone into his dream?”

“I don’t know the details, but something happened to Blaze when I was little that made him dislike magic, I should have warned you about entering his dream.”

“But, I’m the princess of the night. It’s my duty to watch over ponies when they sleep.”

“I know Luna, but is possible you can ignore Blaze? As I said, he doesn’t like magic that much. Can you do that for me?” Celestia hope that her sister would listen to her.

Luna thought about it and… “Alright Tia, I won’t do it again.” That made Celestia smile. “Just answer this question; How did he notice me in the dream? Ponies usually don’t notice me. He even managed to push me out of the dream.”

Celestia blink a couple of times. “That I don’t know, I’m not an expert on dreams.” She looked at Luna. “Don’t you know?”

Luna shook her head. “I have never experienced anything like that before.”

Celestia tape her cheek. “I could ask him, but I doubt he will give me an answer.”

“Don’t worry about it.” They let go each other and stood up. “I don’t want to know.” Luna walked over to her bed and lay down. “I just want to be alone for now.” She grabbed her pillow and hold it close to her chest.

Celestia just looked at her sister, she didn’t like to her like this. ‘Time to have a talk with Blaze.’ She walked out her sister room and headed to Blaze’s room. Once arriving she didn’t see any guard which was good, she knock on the door but got no answer. “I know you’re in their Blaze, we need to talk about what you did to my sister.” She still got no answer. “I’m going in.” She opened the door and what she saw was Blaze in the middle of the room meditating.

What really caught her attention was that he was hovering in the air and his wings was standing out, she saw that he was a couple inches from the floor. ‘How does he do that?’ She walked to the bed and sat down on it, he just watched him as he meditate.

“Is there something I can help you with Celestia?” He asked her.

That made her jump a little. “Yes, I want to talk you about your visit to my sister.”

“There’s nothing to talk about, she enter my dream without my permission.” He said while hovering.

“She the princess of the night, it’s her duty to go into ponies when they have nightmares.”

Blaze opened his eyes and he did not look happy. “Her duty? I don’t care that it’s her duty, she went into my dream without my permission. I don’t care that she is the princess of the night, nopony goes into my dream without my permission.” He closed his eyes again. “You can be glad that I didn’t hurt her.”

“I’m glad you didn’t.” Celestia felt guilty not to have warned her sister, at least he didn’t hurt her.

“Good, is there something else you want?”

“Yes.” Celestia moved her arm behind her back and took out a book she had behind her. “Here’s your book, I have keep it safe all this time. Your sister told me to do it.” She handed the book to Blaze, he took it. “And I was hoping you would have breakfast with me.”

He shook his head. “No thanks, after what your sister did I’ve have lost my appetite.” He put the book on the floor.

“That’s too bad, I was hoping we go to the bank after breakfast. I guess is just me eating alone.” She got up. “You scared my sister pretty bad.”

Blaze did move. “If you are trying to make me feel bad for what I did, it’s not going to work.”

“I know, I know you very well Blaze.”

Celestia stared to walk to the door. “No, you don’t.” That made her stop for a second, she opened the door and walked out from the room. “See you at the main hall after breakfast.” He said as she walked out. Once outside she looked at door and smiled, she was happy that Blaze was fine, but she also remembers that he has a very cocky attitude.

Canterlot castle four hundred and six years ago.

Celestia stood on a balcony looking down at the training field, one of her captains was standing in front of some new recruits. There were three earth ponies, four unicorns and one pegasus, none of the stood out from where she was standing. She but her arms on the railing to get a better look. ‘I don’t think any of them would fit as my personal guard.’ She was brought out of her thought by the captain shouting.

“Listen up maggots, for the next six months I own your sorry asses.” The captain stared to walked in front of them. “If you all think that this is going to be easy, you are all wrong. I’m going to make it my mission to make you all cry for your mommy, you will find no mercy from me.” The captain looked over the recruits and notice that the pegasus was smiling, almost laughing. The captain walked over to the peagsus. “Is there something you find funny maggot?” He asked the pegasus.

The pegasus had almost troubling answering him, not because he was afraid but because he found the captain funny. “I’m sorry sir, but I just think it’s funny that you are supposed to inspire the new guard not frighten them.”

The captain was now right in his face. “You better watch your mouth maggot, or I’m going to make your stay here a living hell.”

“Sorry sir, I have experience living hell almost all my life. You are a little too late on that part.”

That was the last straw for the captain, he made a fist with his right hand and tried to punch the pegasus, but the punch went right through the pegasus. All the recruits were in shook when they saw what happened, even the captain was shook. But the on how was most in shook was Celestia.

She just stared at the pegasus as the captain tried to punch the pegasus again. ‘What is going on? He’s not a unicorn or alicorn, so how does he managed to create a after image of himself?’ She was brought out of her thoughts when someone spoke.

“Your captain is an asshole.” Said the new voice.

“I know, I have been meaning to fire him but his good as his job.” Celestia looked at the pony who was talking to her and boy she got a shook when she saw who it was, it was the pegasus who the captain was trying to punch. She looked at training field, the captain was still trying to punch the after image, she then looked at the peagsus beside her and then back to the training field. “How are you doing that?” She asked the pegasus.

He just snorted. “Wouldn’t you like to know.” He leaned against the railing and looked down at the captain who was still trying to hit the pegasus. “Should we tell him that he’s trying to hit an illusion?” The pegasus asked Celestia.

Celestia also leaned against the railing to watch the show. “No, not just yet.” She looked over to the pegasus. “What’s is your name by the way?”

“It’s Blaze Fury.”

Canterlot castle present day.

Celestia couldn’t help but smile the day she met Blaze for the first day, then her stomach stared to make a noise. “Breakfast sound good right about now.” She decided to head to the dinning room to get some breakfast.

After breakfast Celestia walked to the main hall too meet up with Blaze, once she arrived she could see Blaze leaning against the wall with his eyes closed.

She walked over to him. “Did you wait long?” She asked him.

He opened his eyes. “No, I arrived like five minutes ago.”

Celestia gave him a smile. “Good, shall we go?” He just gave her a nod.

They were about to leave when Shining Armor enter the hall with some guards. “Princess Celestia, may I ask where you are going?”

“I’m going the Canterlot bank with Blaze, is there a problem with that?” She asked Shining.

“Yes, I want to know why you didn’t alert me, so I could assign guard to escort you through Canterlot.”

“Because captain Shining Armor, I don’t need your guards. I feel safe with Blaze.”

Shining looked at Blaze who was just standing there with his arm crossed, he looked like he was bored. Shining had his doubts that Blaze could actually protect her.

“With all respect your highness, are you sure you want to put your life in him?” Those words cot Blaze to react a little.

“Yes, I’m sure. I trust Blaze with my life.”

Shining was still not convinced. “But, princess Celestia. He’s only one pegasus and I don’t think he’s taking his job seriously.”

“Excuse me?” They all looked over to Blaze and he was not happy. “I’m not taking my job seriously? I might have been away for over four hundred years, but I can do better job than your guards.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Shining asked him with anger in his voice.

“It means.” Blaze walked towards Shining. “That I can take an order from Celestia and do them without hesitation.” He was now face to face with Armor. “Your guards can’t take an order and do it, like yesterday. They hesitated, you hesitated. They are Celestia’s guards and they are not supposed to hesitated.”

Shining pressed his face against Blaze. “What’s your mouth, I trained this guards myself.”

“I know, Celestia said that yesterday and you did a crappy job.”

Right now, was Shining pissed off. No one was allowed to talk to him like that, his horn stared to glow. Celestia who was standing on the side line knew exactly what was going to happened and she had to stop it.

“Shining Armor, stand down this instant.”

Shining looked at the princess with shocked expression. “Your highness, why are you doing?”

She walked over to him and she was pissed off. “Do you have some issue in obeying my orders?” He shook his head. “Apparently you have, I told you to stand down and I expect you to follow my orders.” His horn stop glowing, and he took a few steps back. “Now, I’m going to say this only one time. I’m leaving the castle with Blaze and only Blaze, I don’t need any other guards because I trust him with my life. Is that understand captain Shining Armor.” He gave her a nod. “Good, when I get back you and I are going to have a long talk when it’s comes to obeying my orders.” She turned around and stared to walked to the exit, while Shining was standing there very scared.

Blaze was watching the hole thing followed her. “That was impressive, you never did that four hundred years ago.”

Celestia just snorted. “Back then I had no problem with disobeying soldiers.”

Blaze scratched his head. “I guess not.” Then his stomach growled, he put both of his hands on his stomach. “Dame, this is what happened when you don’t eat breakfast.”

Celestia couldn’t help but laugh. “Come on, I buy you a hayburger.” She opened the doors to the castle and walked out.

Blaze just stood there, confused. “What the hell is hayburger?” He followed the princess.

A Walk Through Canterlot

“This is delicious.” After leaving the castle, Blaze and Celestia stopped at local Hay King shop so Blaze could try the local Hayburger, after that they were walking towards the bank. “I whish we had this four hundred years ago.” He took another bite of his hayburger.

Many nobles were staring at them as they walked through the streets of Canterlot, they were not looking at the princess but at the pegasus that was hovering behind her. Blaze were ‘sitting’ in the air with his legs crossed, his wings were spread so he could hover in the air. They all thought he was eating like a pig and he was.

“That’s good and all but can you stop eating, and how can you eat eight heyburger’s and not get any fatter?” She looked over her shoulder seeing Blaze giving her a teasing smile.

“My doctor told me that I have a high digestive system, are you jealous?” He said that last part with tease in his voice.

She gave him an angry glare, which he ignored. “I’m am no jealous, every time I eat a cake it goes to my thighs.” She looked down at them.

Blaze had finished his last hayburger. “You still eat cake, even still you know what happens.” He told her while licking his fingers

“I can’t help it, it’s so good.” She crossed her arms and stuck her nose in the air. “I don’t intend to stop eating them.”

Blaze just rolled his eyes of what she said. “Whatever you say.”

When they finally arrived at the bank Blaze stopped hovering and followed Celestia into the building, when the ponies inside saw their princess step inside they stopped what they were doing and just stared at her, they weren’t sure if they saw things right. Princess Celestia, alone in a bank. Celestia walked over to one of the bank employees who was sitting behind the counter that was protect with glass, Blaze followed her.

“Excuse me.” She asked the pony behind the glass, the pony who was a unicorn just starred at her.

“Ppppprinces Celestia, what are you doing here?” The unicorn asked her.

“I’m here to help a friend, can I talk to the bank manager?” Celestia asked in a calm voice.

It took a couple second before the mare reacted. “Of course, just give me a minute.” The mare got of her chair and ran in back of the bank to find her boss.

Celestia couldn’t help but smile of the mare as she ran to find her boss, she then looked over to Blaze who looked uncomfortable. She decided to find out why.

“Is there something wrong Blaze?” She asked her friend.

“Can we get this over with? Everypony in the bank is starring at use.”

Celestia looked around and he was right, everypony in the bank was starring at them some of them stared to whisper. Luckily for Celestia and Blaze it didn’t take long before the bank manager came to greet them, Celestia explain the situation to the bank manager, after that they were led to his office while the manager went to the archive to get the file of Blaze.

After ten minutes of waiting in the bank manager office, Blaze stared to get restless. He was walking back and forward in the office while Celestia was sitting in a chair.

“Will you relax Blaze, the only thing we can do is wait until he comes back with your file.” Celestia told him.

“I can’t, this is what my sister left for me, it’s her legacy to me. And besides, I’m am a pegasus, we can’t sit still.”

“Why is that? why can’t you pegasus sit still?” Celestia asked with curiosity.

He stopped and looked at her. “For a ruler who claims that we are her ‘little ponies,’ you know nothing about us. And also, we are not your little ponies. Last time I check, you are not my mother.”

Those words hit Celestia right in the heart, she hated to admit it, but he was right. She has always thought that the ponies in Equestria was her little ponies, but Blaze was right, they aren’t. Funny that it took her over a thousand year to figure that out and that a pony from her past to tell her that, she was then interrupted by the door opening and a unicorn walked in to the room. She managed to collect her fast.

Blaze saw the unicorn he almost threw up. As he and Celestia was lead through the bank he could only see unicorns, he can’t stand unicorns. He watched has the unicorn, who was a stallion, sat down behind his desk. “I’m sorry you have to wait your highness, I had trouble finding the file.” The stallion told Celestia.

Celestia just gave him a smile. “That’s okay, did you find it?” She asked him.

“Yes.” He put the file on his desk and opened it. “Wind Breeze, is the name of his sister. Is that correct?” He said while looking at Celestia.

She nodded. “That’s correct.”

The stallion gave her a nod. “Normally we don’t do this but since you are here with him we are going to make an exception.”

Blaze snorted when heard that. “Must be difficult for you.” Both Celestia and stallion stared at him while Blaze just ignored them.

The bank manager cleared his throat. “Let’s just find out much your sister left for you Blaze Fury.” He went to his computer. “Let me just type it all in om my computer.” He looked at the file. “Let’s see here, she left you forty bits, four hundred years ago.” He went back the computer. “Forty bits multiply that with…” He said thing that bored Blaze, so he stopped listing.

It didn’t take long before bank manager was finished. “There, all I have to is press enter and then we will see just how much your sister left you.” He did that and when he saw the sum his eyes widen. “This can’t be right.” He did a double check.

“Is everything in order?” Celestia asked the bank manager.

He looked at Celestia and then back the screen. “I think you should see this for yourself your highness.” He turned the screen, so she could look at it.

Celestia was lost for words when she saw the sum. “Oh my…” She couldn’t comprehend how he got so much money.

Blaze who was standing behind Celestia didn’t understand anything. “What? What’s wrong?” He asked them.

“Blaze, I think you should take a look just how much money you have.” Celestia moved away so Blaze could take a look.

Blaze looked at the screen. “Four hundred million bits.” He read out loud. “Is that much?”

“It extremely much Mr. Fury, I don’t think we can give you that much money right away.” The bank manager told him.

Blaze wasn’t sure if he heard right, he went over to the desk and leaned over it. “First; is that my money? And second; if you want to keep talking with your teeth intact, I suggest that you call me Blaze not Mr. Fury. Got it?” Blaze said in a threatening tone.

The bank manager stared to sweat. “Of course, Blaze and yes. It’s your money but what I’m trying to say that we can’t give you your money right away, the bank would be bankrupt.”

“And why should I care? You are a unicorn, you could just make more money of other misery.”

Now the manager wasn’t afraid anymore, he was angry. “Excuse me, what do you take me for. I would never do that to another pony.”

Blaze just snorted when he heard that. “Yeah right, and I’m the king of the world.”

This was starting to get ugly so Celestia decided to intervene. “Alright.” She got up. “That is enough.” She looked at Blaze. “Can I talk to you alone.” Both of them walked out of the office and into the hall. “What the hell is wrong with you Blaze? I know that you don’t like unicorn but that is no way to behave.” She said with anger in her voice.

“You heard him, I can’t get my money that my sister left me.”

“Yes, you can but you have to understand that you can’t just withdraw all the money at once, it’s to much. You can ask him to give you a credit card.” He just gave her a confused look when she said credit card. “You don’t know what a credit card is?” Now his expression was, ‘are you serious.’ she reached into her pocket and took out her wallet, she opened it and took out her credit card and showed it to Blaze. “This is a credit card.

He took a closer looked at it, what he saw was a bunch of numbers he didn’t understand and a picture of Celestia. “And what dose this ‘credit card’ do exactly?” He asked her.

“It let’s you take out money at the local bank in any town in Equestria, minimum ten thousand bits.”

Blaze was actually impressed by that and it’s very hard to impress him. “You don’t say, sound very handy. Here’s a question, why do you have one? You’re the princess, why do need one?”

Celestia cheek became red. “My mother said that I need one, she said that I spend my money to much.” She said in an embarrass tone. It took all the willpower Blaze had not to laugh at that and Celestia could see it. “Don’t you dare laugh at me Blaze Fury.” She put her credit card back into the wallet and but away the wallet. “I’m going back in and I suggest that you stay here and collect yourself.” She walked back into the office and once she sat down in the chair, then she and the bank manager could hear laughter in the hall, Celestia just rolled her eyes of Blaze behavior.

“Alright, everything seems to be in order. You will get your credit card in a few days.”

After Blaze was done laughing, he went back into the office, so he could get a credit card making sure that he could withdraw money in the future. He had to sign some paper and take a picture. Now, he just had to wait. Something Blaze hated to do.

The bank manager put away the paper. “I will personally make sure that these papers get handle.” He looked at Blaze and Celestia “Is there anything ells I can help you with.”

Not for Celestia but Blaze wasn’t done. “Yeah, there’s one more thing. How many orphanages is there in Equestria?” He asked the bank manager.

He blinked a couple of time. “I don’t understand…” He didn’t have time to finish that sentence.

“I asked you a question, how many orphanages is there in Equestria?” He asked again.

The manager tried to come up with an answer, but he didn’t know, luckily Celestia knew. “There’s four of them Blaze, they are in Ponyville, Manehattan, Trottingham and Las Pegasus.”

When Blaze heard that he looked over to Celestia whit a disappointing look. “So much for your perfect world Celestia.” She just gave him and angry look which he ignored, he then looked at the manager. “I want to too write out a check for five thousand bits to each of those orphanages, is that possible?” Blaze asked him.

The manager nodded. “Yes, I have to call the other banks but it’s possible.”

That pleased Blaze. “Good, I also want you to write a check to AppleZack, he lives in Trottingham with his wife Krystal. A check for five thousand bits, the ones that are going to the orphanages has to be anonymous. The last thing I want is attention, is that possible?” He asked the manager.

The manager nodded. “Yes, that is possible. Just let me make phone call.” He reached for his phone, he picketed up and dial a number. “Is this the bank in Ponyville?” He waited a little. “Good, this is the bank manager for Canterlot bank, I need you to listen to me.”

It took the manager about thirty minutes to call ever bank in the city that had an orphanage, Blaze waited impatient for him to finished calling them all.

He was on the phone at the last one, Manehattan. “Thank you so much for your help.” He hanged up the phone and place on his desk. “It’s done, the four orphanages are getting a check for five thousand bits tomorrow, so will also AppleZack and his wife.”

That made Blaze very happy. “Good, I guess you unicorns are good for something. If there’s nothing ells, I’m heading out. I need some air.” As he got up he look at Celestia. “See you outside.” And with that he left the room, leaving the Celestia with the bank manager.

“What did he mean by that I’m good for something?” The manager asked Celestia.

She just stared at the door with a disappointing look. “Don’t take this the wrong way.” She looked at the stallion. “He has a grudge against unicorns, I don’t know why. I think something happened to him when he was younger.” She stood up from her chair. “I should go after him and make sure that he doesn’t get in to trouble, I trust that you will handle the paper work for Blaze.”

He gave her a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry your highness, I will make sure that he will get his credit card and that the checks will arrived where they should.” Celestia gave him a smile and thanked him, she went after Blaze.

When Celestia arrived outside the bank she looked around to see if she could find Blaze. Luckily, she didn’t have to look far. “You took you time.” It was Blaze’s voice and it made her jump up in that air a little. She turned around and saw that he was leaning against that wall of the bank.

She gave him a disappointing look. “You could have been nicer to the bank manager, he was only trying to help you.” Blaze just rolled his eyes of what she said, that made Celestia shook her head. “Sometimes I don’t understand you Blaze.” She sighed. “Can we go back to castle now?”

He got off the wall. “Not yet, I want to check something at the local hospital.”

Before she could even react, Blaze was gone, she just stared at the place where he was standing. It took a couple of seconds before she realized that he was gone, she took off after him. When she arrived at the hospital she could see that Blaze was standing outside it, he was just staring at it.

She landed beside him and slapped him in the head, he didn’t even flinch when she hit him. “You could have given me some warning that you would fly and what are we doing here anyway?” She asked him.

He rubbed his head. “I need to find out if my sister survived all those years ago.” He said in a sad tone.

Right then Celestia wished the she hadn’t hit him in the head, she then looked at the hospital. “Why haven’t you gone inside yet?” She asked him.

“I don’t really like hospital and besides, I was waiting for you. You have confirmed that I am who I am.” He walked in the main entrance.

Celestia just smiled as he walked in, she couldn’t help but admit that she has missed Blaze. She walked after him.

When they arrived inside the hospital they got a lot of attention, mostly Celestia. All of the ponies that saw her bowed down, she told them that it was unnecessary to do that. Blaze just found it annoying, he couldn’t understand why did that. He never saw Celestia as the ruler, he saw her as a normal pony. When it came to the record of his sister, it was the same as the bank. Somepony had to find them and Blaze and Celestia had to wait.

They were waiting in the waiting area, Celestia was reading a magazine while Blaze looked at the different ponies that were sitting around the waiting area. They were just staring at Celestia in awe and it was pissing Blaze off.

“Yes, she is princess Celestia. Now stop looking her.” He said with anger in his voice hoping that they would stop looking at her, it worked. They stopped looking at her.

Celestia looked over the edge of her magazine. “Was that really necessary?” She asked him.

He crossed his arms. “I’m just so sick of ponies looking at you like this, they think you are god or something. Which you are not.” He said with irritation in his voice.

Celestia just want back to her magazine. “Just ignore it, I do that.”

He looked at her with a raised eyebrow. “Really? That’s what you are going to do, just ignore it?” Celestia just shrugged her shoulders. “Why don’t you say something? You know, something to make them stop looking at you.”

“I tried that before and you know it, it works for a few years and then same thing happens again. Ponies just stared at me, they bow to me. in the end I gave up, let them do what they want.” Blaze was dumbfounded, he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “But then I remember those who treats me lime a normal pony and not as a royal.” Blaze smiled of that.

When a nurse came for them they were lead to one of the doctors that work at the hospital, when they enter his office they were both in for a shook.

The doctor was a griffon, he gave them both a warm smiled when he saw them. He stood up from his desk and walked towards them. “Princess Celestia, it’s an honor.” He held up his hand and she shook, he then looked at Blaze. “You must be the famous Blaze Fury, nice to meet you.” He held up his hand to Blaze, but he didn’t take it, Blaze just crossed his arms.

Then Celestia notice the tension that was building up inside Blaze, she decided to do something before something happened. “Doctor.” He looked at Celestia. “Do you have the files we asked for?” She asked him.

The griffon blinked a few times. “Yes.” He went back to his desk, Celestia and Blaze followed him. He sat down on his chair behind the desk while Celestia sat down in one of the chair in front of it, Blaze just stood there. “The files were a little difficult to find but we found them in the end.” He opened them. “Wind Breeze was the name of the patient, is that correct?” He asked the princess and the ex solider.

“Yes, that’s correct.” Celestia answered, considering Blaze was in bad mood.

The doctor smiled, he looked over the files. “It looks like she made a full recovery.”

That was all Blaze need to hear, he just turned around walked out. Leaving a disappointing Celestia and confused griffon.

“Did I do something wrong?” He asked the princess, he knew that it was somehow is fault. Considering that Blaze was angry at him.

“It’s not you doctor, it’s Blaze. He’s from a time where the relationship between out nation was not that good.” She looked at the doctor with sympathy. “I apologies for his behavior.”

The doctor just gave her a smile. “Don’t worry about your highness, I understand his anger. I wasn’t offended in any way.”

That made Celestia breath lighter. “That’s good to her. Now, if you will excuse me. I must go after him and make sure that he doesn’t say or do anything more that gets him into trouble.” She thanked the doctor and walked after Blaze.

Once outside she saw Blaze just standing in front of the hospital, she walked over to him and grabbed his shoulder and made him turn around.

“What’s wrong with you? You have been rude to a unicorn and a griffon, you have to remember that this time is not the time you were born and raised in. The Equestria you knew has chance and you need to accept it, is that understand?”

As much Blaze hate to admit it, she was right. He was four hundred years into the future and Equestria had chance and he need to chance to. He said nothing to her, he just spread his wings and flew towards the castle.

Celestia just stood there starring at Blaze as he left, she just shook her head and flew after him.

As Blaze and Celestia entered the Castle all the staff and guards stopped what they were doing to looked at them, they watch as Blaze walked past them, Celestia just watch as he walked off to his room.

Celestia felt a little bad for yelling at him but he need to hear it, she noticed the staff and guards was staring at her. “What are you looking at? Get back to work.” That got them to react, Celestia rub her tempest. ‘What a morning.’ She then started walked towards Shining Armours office to have a chat with him.

When Blaze arrived at his room he went straight inn and closed the door, he leant against the door and let out a heavy sight. Finding out that his sister had left him money and that she had managed to survive her sickness had taken more energy of him then he expected, he stared to walked towards the bathroom for a shower, but he didn’t get far. Someone knock on the door.

When he opened the door, he saw a pink alicorn he had never seen before. She had the biggest smiled he had ever seen. “Can I help you?” He asked the alicorn.

The Alicorn let out a little squeal. “Are you Blaze Fury?” She asked him.

Blaze hesitated a little. “Yes? And who are you?”

“My name is Cadance and I’m the princess of love.” Blaze snort when he heard her tittle. “And ever since I have been a kid I always wanted to meet you.”

That confused Blaze. “Why do you care who I am? You are an alicorn, not a pegasus.”

Cadance rubbed her neck. “You see, I was a pegasus and Celestia made into a alicorn…”

She didn’t get to finish that sentence. “Let me get this straight, you gave up being a pegasus, so you can become an alicorn?” Cadance nodded very slowly. “What the hell is wrong with you?” He took a step forward while Cadance step backwards.

“Celestia told me that it was my destiny.” She said in scared tone.

Blaze couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “Your destiny? Was it your destiny to give up your pride as pegasus?” He pointed a finger at her. “Let me tell you something, if you let someone ells control your destiny then you are lost, especially if you are pegasus. Why don’t you come back when you have gotten rid of that horn on your head, then we can talk.”

Blaze went back into his room and slam the door shut leaving a heartbroken Cadance in the hallway, all her life she wanted to meet Blaze Fury, her hero. Thanks to that she was now an alicorn, that dream was broken. She decided to head back to her room, she walked back with her head hung low.

Meanwhile had Celestia arrived at Shining Amour office, it was about she had a talk when it came to the guards Shining trained. She knocked on the door. “Come in.” That was Shining, she opened the door and she saw that her captain was sitting behind his desk. He was a little surprise to see her. “Princess Celestia, what do I owe this visit?”

She took a set on the chair in front of here. “I want to talk about the level of you guard Shining Amour.”

Shining groaned when he hard that. “Don’t tell me you are still upset over what happened this morning.”

“Yes, I’m very upset. Twice in two days you and your guard have hesitated when I have giving an order, this has to stop.” She told him.

“But princess, I don’t understand why you trust the Blaze Fury more than you trust your own guards.”

“I trust him because he can follow orders and he have save my life more than one time, you and your guard on the other hand can take a simple order.” She stood up and grabbed his shirt. “Now you listen to me Shining, from now on I expect that you and the rest of my guards follow my orders. Do I make myself clear?” Right now, was Shining terrified and all he could was to shake his head very fast. “Good, I expect that you tell the other guards that from now they will listen to me when I give them an order. If they don’t, you will spend the rest of you time her cleaning toilet with your tongue.” She let go of him and walked out from his office, Shining just sat there and his entire body was trembling. “I need to chance me underwear.”

Blaze had just had shower and was in the bedroom getting dressed, he had just but on his pants when he heard someone knock on his door. “What now? It better not be Cadance again, I’m in the mood” He opened the door and what he saw was not Cadance, but Luna and it looked like she hadn’t sleep that night, Blaze crossed his arms. “Is there something I can help you with?”

“Yes, I was hoping that I could talk to you.” She told him.

“If you want to talk then talk.”

“Can we talk inside your bedroom?”

Blaze sighed. “Fine, come in.” He stepped aside so Luna could walk in, he closed the door and walked over to bed. “What do you want to talk about?” He stared to put on his t-shirt.

“About last night, I want to apologize.”

That just confused Blaze. “Why are you apologizing to me? I am the one who should apologize to you, which I’m not going to do.” He turned to face her. “Why the apologize?”

She rubbed her arm. “I want to apologize for going into your dream last night, I shouldn’t have done that.” Blaze was now even more confused, and Luna saw that. “You see, dreams and be categorized into two dreams; a normal dream and a nightmare. What you had last night was a nightmare, I don’t usually go into those dreams but yours was so intense that I couldn’t resist.” She looked down on the floor. “I’m sorry.”

Blaze felt bad for Luna. She was here, and she is apologizing to him. Now he felt bad for threatening her yesterday. “Tell you what, if you promise never to go into my dreams again I will accept your apologize and I will give you an apologize for what I did yesterday.” He stuck out his hand. “Deal?”

Luna gladly took it. “Deal, I promise as one of the princess of Equestria that I will not go into one of your dreams again, good or bad.”

“That’s good to hear and for that, I accept your apologize and I apologize for threating you and scaring you.”

“That’s okay, after some thinking I realized that I don’t have permission to entered other ponies dreams. Princess or not.”

“Maybe you do or maybe you don’t, I think it’s up to the ponies of Equestria to decide of you can entered their dreams or not.”

Right now, Luna felt like an idiot. She had never though about asking the ponies of this land to enter their dreams, she just enter them. She hung her head in shame. “I feel like an idiot.”

“What make you say that?” Blaze ask her.

“All these year I have enter others dreams without permission when I should have just asked them.” She raised her head and gave Blaze a serious face. “If you will excuse me, I have work to do.” She turned around and walked towards the door.

“Where are you going?”

She stopped and turned around to look at Blaze. “I’m going to the media and ask the ponies of Equestria about what they think about that I’m going into their dreams without their permission.” With that said she walked out of the room leaving Blaze alone.

He scratched his head. “Well, that happened.” He decided it was time to fly, he walked over to the balcony door and open it. He spread his wing and took flight.

Meanwhile in Ponyville.

Scootaloo was running as fast as she could to the club house, she had to tell Applebloom and Sweetie Belle the great news. She burst through the door breathing heavily, she put both hands on her legs to try and catch her breath. Her friend who was sitting on the floor reading comics, just stared at their friend.

“Scootaloo, is there a reason why you almost broke the door to the club house and are out of breath?” Applebloom asked her pegasus friend.

“Yes… you… won’t… believe… what… has… happened…” She managed to say between breaths.

“Scootaloo, take a deep breath and tell us what happened.” The unicorn told her friend.

Scootaloo did as Sweetie Belle said. “You two will never believe what happened someone donated five thousand bits to the orphanages in town.”

Applebloom and Sweetie Bell’s eyes widen and theirs mouth feel to the floor when they heard that, they couldn’t believe what they were hearing. Applebloom was the first to recover.

“Five thousand, that’s a lot of money.”

“Yeah, tomorrow is miss Feather is taking us all to a movie and then we are going to get something to eat while we are getting new beds and stuff.” Scootaloo said with a big smile on her face.

“Do you know who send the money to the orphanages?” Sweetie Bell asked her friend.

Scootaloo shook her head. “No, the check didn’t have a name. Miss Feather tried asking the bank, but they didn’t know either.”

Applebloom and Sweetie Belle looked at each other wondering who had so much money.

Outside Trottingham.

Krystal had just gadder the mail and was walking towards the house while looking through to what they got. “Bill, bill, advertising, same old.” Then she came to the last envelop and that catch her attention. “Canterlot bank, that weird.” She opened it and when she saw the check that was inside of it her heart almost stopped. “Holly shit.” She ran towards the house as fast she could.

AppleZack was sitting in the living room playing with his son when his wife burst in main door, scaring their soon in the process. That made the little one to cry, Zack lifted his son into his lab trying to comfort him.

He looked over to his wife. “Do you have a good reason for scaring out son?” He asked his wife.

She walked over to them. “Yes, I have. Take a look at this check.” She handed the check over to her husband.

He took it and saw it was a check and saw that it was from Canterlot bank, then he saw how much it was. His mouth almost fell to the floor. “Five thousand bits, who is this from?” Before he could see that, his wife told him.

“Blaze Fury.”

“Blaze Fury? Are you sure?” She nodded. He looked at the check closer and she was right, it was from the solider. “Why would he send us a check and how could he have so much money?”

“Maybe he wanted to pay us from letting him stay here and the money part, I have no idea. Should we keep the money?”

Zack looked at check. “I think we should, we really need the money and it would be rude not to do it.” It was decided, they were keeping the money.

Celestia had just finished her daily duty and was on her way to visit Blaze, on her way there she saw Cadence walking towards her with her head hanging low. “Cadance, is everything alright?” The pink alicorn looked up at Celestia with a sad face. “Are you okay?” She asked with concern in her voice.

Cadence just walked past her. “I don’t want to talk about it.”

Celestia grabbed her arm. “My dear niece, talk to me.”

Cadence swap away the arm. “I said I don’t want to talk about it and stop calling me your niece, last time I check we are not related.” After that she stormed off leaving a very confused Celestia alone.

“What just happened?” She asked nobody in particular.

After that incident with Cadence she arrived at Blaze’s room, she knocked on the door and walked inn. Once inside she noticed that the room was empty. ‘Where is he?’ Then she saw that the balcony door was open, she knew what he was doing. She walked out from the room and closed the door.

It was getting dark in Equestria and ponies were heading home from work, over Canterlot flew Blaze towards the castle. When he landed in front off the castle doors the two guards gave him a salute when they saw him land, he just rolled his eyes and ignored them both. Once inside he was about to walk to his room when he heard someone shouting.

“What’s wrong with you stupide mare? Can’t you watch where you are walking?”

Blaze looked in the direction where the voice was coming from, what he saw made his blood boil. He saw a white unicorn with blond hair shouting at poor mare who was lying on the floor, there were broken stuff on the floor.

“I’m so sorry prince Blueblood.” The mare said in a shaky voice.

“You are sorry, look at my clothes. They are ruined, do you have any idea what they cost?” The mare shook her head. “That’s what I thought, now I have to by some new one and that will come out from your paycheck.”

Blaze had heard enough, he walk towards them. “Hey, leave her alone.”

That got the mare and Blueblood to look at Blaze. “Stay out of this peasant.” The prince told Blaze. “This have nothing to do with you, so leave.”

Blaze could withstand being called a lot but peasant, there was the line. “And what exactly has this mare done that made you this upset?” He aske Blueblood in a calm voice.

“She walked straight into me and ruined my best dress.” He answered Blaze while pointing at the big stain on his shirt.

Blaze didn’t understand why the fuzz was about, the stain could be removed by washing it. He then looked at the mare. “Is this right? Did you walk right into him?”

The mare was a little unsure if she should tell the truth or not but then saw Blaze eyes, they were so kind. “It partially true, I was in a hurry and I did say to prince Blueblood to watch out, but he didn’t listen. He was just walking towards me with his head up high.

That made Blueblood furious. “How dear you?I never heard you say anything, I will but you in jail for your…”

That was all Blueblood could say before he hit the floor unconscious, the mare and the guards that was watching was trying to understand what just happened. One moment he was yelling and the next moment he was on the floor knock out.

“Take a nap asshole.” Blaze help the mare up on her feet. “You okay there?”

“Yyyyes, thank you.” She replied in shaking voice.

“Your welcome.” Blaze looked at two guards that had seen the hole thing. “You two.” Both were a little unsure if they were supposed to obey him. “Come over here.” They walked over to Blaze. “Take this idiot to the dungeon.”

Both guard’s eyes widen when he said this. “Are you sure general? This is princes Blueblood.” Said one of the guards.

“I don’t care who he is, he can’t go around and screaming at other ponies like this. Take him to dungeon so he can think over what he done and if he asks who put him there, you can blame Shining Armor. Now, MOVE.” That got the two guards to react, they grabbed Blueblood and dragged him to the dungeon. Blaze looked the mare who was stunned. “You going to be okay?” She gave him a nod. “Great.” Blaze walked of leaving the mare, who was still trying to figure out what just happened.

Night has fallen over Equestria and Celestia had finally finished her duty, she was on her way to Blaze room to see how he was doing and have a talk with him of what have happened today. Once she arrived she knocked on the door. “Come in.” That was Blaze, she walked inn.

Once inside she saw something she didn’t ever thought she would see, Blaze was using the computer that was in the room. She had to blink a couple of time to make sure that she was seeing things right, Blaze was sitting by the desk using the computer.

“Hello sister.”

That voice made Celestia almost jump out of her fur, she calmed herself down and looked at the bed and there was her sister lying on her stomach with her legs up in the air.

“Luna, what are you doing here?” She asked her sister.

“I’m here to visit Blaze and right now I’m watching tv.” Luna told her sister.

Celestia looked at the tv and it was showing some soap opera, she had never showed interest in those things, but Luna loved them. Celestia never understand why.

She then looked between her sister and Blaze couple of times. “Are you two friends now?” She asked them.

“I would not say that, she came earlier in the day and apologize for going into my dream and then I apologized for scaring her, if she stayed out of my dreams.” Blaze told her.

Celestia just gave them a nod. “What about now? You have night duty Luna.”

Luna just groaned. “It’s so boring and besides, nothing happened at night. I don’t understand why I have to do this.”

“It may be boring but is our duty as a ruler of Equestria.” Luna just ignored what her sister said and went back to her soap opera, Celestia just rolled her eyes of her sister behavior. She walked over to Blaze.

“Is there something you want Celestia?” He asked her.

“Yes.” She cleared her throat. “I want to talk to you about what happened today, with…”

“…Cadance and Blueblood.” Blaze finished for her.

That got Luna attention. “What did you do with Cadance and Blueblood?”

“Well, I punched Blueblood in the face and then I got him looked up in the dungeon and I let Shining take the blame.” When Luna heard that she started to laugh, Blaze just ignored that and counited. “And with Cadance, I told her that I didn’t like that you had turned her into a alicorn because you said it was her destiny.” He stopped what he was doing and turned around to face Celestia, he looked a little angry and that made Celestia a little nervous. “Why did you say that to her?”

“I didn’t do anything, she chose that path herself.”

Blaze didn’t believe her. “I think that’s bullshit, I think that you convinced her that she destined to alicorn and not a pegasus. You tried to convince Soul four hundred years ago but luckily for him he saw right through your lies.” He went back to the computer. “If you want to stay on my good side I suggest that to talk to Cadance and give her a choice, the choice to become a pegasus again.”

Right now, Celestia felt one thing, guilt. She hates to admit it, but Blaze was right. She had to manipulated Cadance, Soul and Twilight. He might not have said it that way, but he was right, she decided chance that. Celestia left the room leaving a very confuse Luna with Blaze.

She looked over to him. “What just happened?” She asked him.

“You don't know?”

She tilted her head. “Know what?”

“What she did four hundred years ago?”

“No, my sister doesn’t talk about the past. She said it hurts to talk about it.”

“I can’t blame her on that part.” He stopped what he was doing, he turned around. “When I was guard four hundred years ago Celestia had a student name Soul, he was a talented unicorn with great potential and a good heart. One day he managed to figure out a spell that Celestia had send him and then he was ready to become a alicorn, Soul refused. That angered Celestia, she told him that it was his destiny to become an alicorn, do you know what he said?” Luna shook her head. “He said that he will decide his own destiny.”

“What happened next?”

“Well, they had big fight and then Soul just left one day. I never saw him again.” He told her with sadness in his voice.

“He was your friend, wasn’t he?”

“Yeah, he was my only friend I had back then. The others just disappeared.” Luna was about to ask who he was talking about. “Well, back to the computer.” He turned the chair back and started to surf again.

Luna wanted to ask who he was talking about, but she just shrugged it off. She decided to ask what he was doing on the computer. “What are you looking for?”

“Trying to find a house to buy, it’s not easy to find a place to live.”

Luna thought for a moment. “May I suggest Ponyville.”

“Ponyville? Where the elements of harmony lives,” Blaze pressed some buttons on the keyboard. “Let’s see her.” He became silenced while he looked. “The price on a house there aren’t that bad, I may just by a house there. I just have to wait for my credit card to come.” He then yawned. “Damn, I’m more tiered than I thought. I better get some sleep, something tells me that you sister is going to be mad at me tomorrow.” He told Luna while turning off the computer.

“Why would my sister be mad at you?” Luna asked with confusion in her voice.

“After I was done flying a was hungry so found a restaurant that sold ‘pizza’ and since I didn’t have any money I told them to send the bill to Celestia.”

Luna couldn’t help but laugh a little when she heard that. “Yeah, I don’t think that my sister is going to like that but there is no pizza restaurant in Canterlot.”

“No, but there one in Manehattan.” He told her while getting up from the chair.

“You flew to Manehattan? How long did it take?”

He just shrugged his shoulders. “I have no idea, I just flew around Equestria until I was tired. When I too tired to fly anymore I was in Manehattan.”

Luna just stared at him in amazed. “How fast are you?”

He thought for a second. “I have no idea.”

Luna couldn’t help but chuckle while she shook her head. “I don’t think I have ever meet a pony like you Blaze Fury.”

“My sister always told me that I was one of a kind, I never believed here.” He clapped his hands together. “Okay, I don’t mean to be rude but I’m kicking you out of my room. I going to have a shower before I go to bed.”

“Don’t worry, I have to go to my night duty.” She just groaned when she said that. “Sometimes I wish I was not a princess.”

Luna left the room and Blaze couldn’t help but smile at her, he then walked to bathroom to take a shower.

It’s been a few days since with Blueblood and Cadance, Blueblood wasn’t to happy waking up in the dungeon and when he heard it was Shining’s fault, he let the captain heard it. Shining knew that it was Blaze doing that he got the blame and he was not happy about it. He was about to but Blaze in the dungeon for what he did but luckily for Shining, Celestia was there to prevent him to do something stupid.

When it came to Cadance, well. She had not left her room since she had spoken to Blaze, Celestia and Shining became worried about her. Celestia asked Blaze to talk to her but refused, he didn’t want to talk to a pegasus who denied who she was, a pegasus. Celestia knew that it was pointless to convince him when he was like that. There was one thing she got him to do, buy some new clothes. He had gotten his credit card, so she send him and Flash Sentry into town to buy clothes, Blaze didn’t understand why Celestia had Flash had to go with him, then Celestia told him he need somepony to help him with the credit card. He didn’t say anything more on the topic.

When it came to where he was going to live, he had listen to Luna’s advice ad bought a house in Ponyville. He, Celestia and some guards was standing train platform, Blaze couldn’t help but stare at the train he was going ride to Ponyville.

“You want me to take ‘this train’ to Ponyville? It looks like piece of crap.” He then looked at Celestia. “How long did you say the train ride would last?”

Celestia put a hand on her cheek. “I would say an hour.”

Blaze wasn’t sure if he heard right. “Did you just say one hour?” Celestia gave him a nod. “Do you really expect me to sit still for one hour?”

He was right, he couldn’t sit still for so long. “No, I guess not.”

“I thought so, and that’s why I’m flying there. Get a guard to bring my luggage to Ponyville and will met him there.”

Before Celestia could say anything, Blaze had already taken of headed towards Ponyville, Celestia couldn’t help but shook her head of Blaze behaviour. “That pony, I know that pegasus can’t sit still very long but Blaze take’s it to another level.” She then noticed that he left his luggage, she looked at her guards to see if anyone of them could bring it to him. “You there.” She looked at Flash Sentry.

Flash looked at around. “Me your highness?” He pointed as himself.

“Yes, you help Blaze with shopping for clothes? Yes?” Flash gave Celestia a nod. “Is it possible that you can bring Blaze his luggage.”

“You want me to take his luggage to Ponyville?” He asked the princess.

“That’s correct.”

Flash thought for a minute. “Sure, I can do that, but I don’t have the money for the train ticket.”

She gave him a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry about that, the castle will pay for train ticket.” That made Flash smile, he walked over to luggage and grabbed it, he then took the train ticket from Celestia. “And take some time off, also on the castle.” That made Flash smile even ore. “And here is his address.” Celestia gave him a not.

Flash took it and read it. “Yeah, I know where this is.” He gave the note back to Celestia “What about Twilight and her friends? Are you going to call them and tell them that Blaze isn’t coming by train?” He asked Celestia.

Celestia then got a devilish smile. “Nah, let them think that Blaze are taking the train.” Flash just saluted and walked on the train, he then took a place and waited for the train to leave.

When the train had left the station, Celestia and her guards was ready to leave and head back to the castle, but they didn’t get very far. “Where is he?” Shining Armour was walking towards them.

“Where is who? Shining Armour.” Celesta knew who he was talking about, but she thought she would have a little fun with him.

“You know who I’m talking about your highness.” He said to her while walking towards her.

“I don’t how you are talking about.”

Shining was getting frustrated. “Blaze Fury, where is he?”

“Oh, last time I saw him, he had taken off to Ponyville. Is there something you want from him?”

“Yes, I want him to apologize for what he did you Cadance five days ago.”

Celestia nodded. “Just forget it Shining, he won’t do.”

“Why? Why won’t he apologize to her?”

Shining didn’t understand why she asked him that. “What has that to do with what Blaze said to Cadance?”

“Cadance was a pegasus before she became an alicorn.” Shining eyes widen when he heard that, he didn’t know that Cadance was a peagsus before she became an alicorn. He also now understood why Blaze was so hostile towards her. “Do you understand why Blaze was hostile towards Cadence?” He gave her a nod. “Good, Blaze takes pride in being a pegasus and finding out that Cadence, that was a pegasus. Became an alicorn must be hard for him.” She sighed. “I guess I can take some responsibility for what happened, I should have told Blaze. I will talk to Cadance later today and want you not to make things worse, got it?” She told Shining with a stern voice, he just saluted, and she was happy by that.

Twilight and her friends was waiting at the train station for the train from Canterlot, Celestia had ask her and her friends to welcome Blaze to Ponyville and show him around. Even that Twilight isn’t Celestia student more, she still is willing to help the princess from time to time and this was one thing she eager to help with. She had read about Blaze Fury so many times that she also had become a fan of him, even that she is a unicorn.

“I can’t wait for Blaze to arrive, I’m going to throw him the biggest party I have thrown yet.” Said a bouncing Pinkie.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea Pinkie.” Said Rarity.

Pinkie sopped bouncing and gave her friends a questionable look. “Why would you say that? Everyone likes a good party.”

“Well, he’s from four hundred years in the past. They might not throw a party like you do in his time.”

Pinkie just laugh of what Rarity said. “Oh Rarity, you are so silly.” Rarity just rolled her eyes of Pinkie behavior, Pinkie could act like a child something.

In the meanwhile, Applejack was standing next to Rainbow Dash who was leaning against the wall to the train house. “Aren’t you excited that your hero from old time is coming to Ponyville.” AJ asked her flying friend. Rainbow just shrugged her shoulders. “Not really, he is just a pegasus just like me and other pegasus. When I think about it, there’s no one like me.” Applejack couldn’t believe what she heard, Dash’s ego just went up a notched.

Then a voice came over the speaker system. “The train from Canterlot will arrive soon on platform one, I repeat, the train from Canterlot will arrive soon on platform one.” Ponyville didn’t have the biggest train station in Equestria, it only had two platforms. That was enough for this small town.

It didn’t take long before the train arrived, and the girls waited in excitement, expect Dash who tried to look bored. When the train stopped they watch as pony’s walked off the train, but they didn’t see Blaze.

“That’s weird, princess Celestia told me that this was the train.” Twilight said while scratching her head, then she saw one of Celestia’s guard step out of the train with two suitcases. She walked over to him. “Pardon me sir.” The guard looked at her. “Is Blaze Fury on this train?”

The guard shock his head. “No ma’am, he said that he would fly to Ponyville and considering how fast he is, he is probably already here already.”

“Are you telling me that he is here already?”

“Yes ma’am.”

“If that’s true, then why haven’t…” Twilight and her friends looked over to Pinkie who was just standing there, looking clueless. She then noticed her friends looking at her. “What? Why are you girls looking at me?”

Rarity decide to say the reason. “Pinkie dear, this guard says that Blaze Fury is already in Ponyville so why hasn’t your pinkie senses said something?”

Pinkie just waved her hands. “Oh Rarity.” She then giggled. “Your funny.” She looked at her friends and Flash, they didn’t laugh. “Are you girls serious?” Still no laughter. Pinkie then grabbed Flash by the armor. “Are you telling that Blaze fury is already here?” She asked him in a serious tone.

“Yes ma’am, considering how fast he is, I’m guessing that he has been her here an hour, maybe more.” He answered in somewhat scared tone.

When Pinkie heard that her eyes widen. “Why didn’t my pinkie senses notice him?” She asked Flash while shaking him, he wanted to answer but it was a little difficult when Pinkie was shaking him.

Applejack and Dash managed to pry Pinkie off Flash who feel on the ground, Rarity and Fluttershy help him up. “Are you alright dear?” Rarity asked him.

“Yeah, I’m fine. The last time somepony shook me that hard was my teacher at the academy when I did something wrong.” He told them while getting up.

Pinkie, who was struggling to get out of Applejack and Dash’s grip. She want to find him and ask him a big question. “Would you stop struggling Pinkie.” Said Dash.

“No, I have to find Blaze and ask him how he avoided my pinkie senses.” Applejack and Dash looked at each other, they knew that I was pointless to talk her out off it, they let her go and she was gone.

Flash just watch the scene unfold. “What’s just happened?” He asked Twilight.

“That’s just Pinkie begging Pinkie, try not to think about or you are might get a headache.” She shuttered when she thought back to when she tried to figure out how the pinkie sense work.

Flash just gave her a nod. “If you say so, if you girls would excuse me.” He pick up Blaze’s luggage. “I have to bring Blaze his luggage.” He started to walk towards the town.

“Wait.” He stopped and turned around. “Is it possible we can come with you? I promised princess Celestia that I would welcome him to Ponyville and my friends want to meet him.” Twilight asked him.

Flash thought about it. “Sure, I don’t see why. Follow me, I know his address.” He started to walk and the girls followed him.

Twilight and her friends with Flash walked through Ponyville, she and her friends was excited to finally meet Blaze, expected Dash who tried to remain calm.

While walking towards Blaze’s home, Twilight decided to ask the guard some question. “So, Flash was it?” Flash just nodded. “How is Blaze?”

“You have to be a little more specific ma’am.”

Twilight scratch her chin. “Well, is as fast as it says in the books?”

“I never saw him fly so I don’t know how fast he in the air but, when I first meet him he managed to steel my helmet without me realising it.” Flash smiled when he thought about when he first meet Blaze.

“What do you mean by that dear.” Rarity ask.

“Okay, my name is Flash not dear, got it?” He told Rarity while looking at her, she nodded. “When it came to him stealing my helmet, it just happened. One second I was wearing my helmet and the next he was wearing mine.” He stop so the girls did the same. “Look, I don’t expect any one of you to believe me, but it happened, he even punched prince Blueblood.”

That got the girls attention, especially Rarity and Dash. “He punched prince Blueblood? Why?” Twilight asked him.

“Well, I wasn’t there so I had to hear it from some of the other guards. Apparently, the prince was yelling at one of the maidens and Blaze didn’t like that, then the prince started to yell at Blaze and then the prince just fell to the floor, the guards didn’t see what happened, but they assumed that he had punched him. Then Blaze told two guard to put the princess in the dungeon and blame the incident on captain Shining Armor.”

Twilight wasn’t sure if she heard the last part right. “Wait a minute, did you just say, ‘blame the incident on captain Shining Armor’?” Flash nodded. “He let my brother take the blame for something Blaze did?” Flash nodded again. “Why did he do that?”

Flash just shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know, I never found out why. You can ask Blaze when you meet him.” Then Flash started to walk again.

The girls was standing there, they were shock of what they had heard, not Dash, she had trouble holding her laughter. Twilight saw that. “Don’t you dear to laugh Dash.” She then started to walk after Flash. “I’m going to have a talk with Blaze and ask why did that to my brother.” Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy walked after her while Dash couldn’t hold it any longer. She started to laugh so hard that her side started to hurt, eventually she managed to collect herself and she ran after the others, still laughing.

Eventually they arrived at the address to Blaze’s house, it wasn’t out of the ordinary, just the normal house you by in Ponyville. Flash walk to the door and knock on it, it didn’t take long before the door open and there stood a stallion that looked like male version of Spitfire. It was Blaze Fury.

“You are late soldier, I have been her over an hour.” Blaze told Flash.

Flash just saluted. “Sorry sir, I can’t control the trains speed.”

Blaze just rolled his eyes when Flash saluted. “At ease Flash, I’m not a guard or a general anymore. You don’t have to saluted to me anymore.”

Flash lowered his hand, his cheeks was red. “Sorry Blaze, I forget sometimes.” He gave Blaze his luggage. “Here’s is your luggage, princess Celestia asked me to bring them to you.”

Blaze took them. “I figure that much, thanks.”

Flash gave him a smile. “Your welcome, if you will excuse me. The princess gave me some time off.” He said with a smile as he walked off.

Blaze watch as he walked off. “Guards theses days.” He was about to walk in with his luggage when he notice five mares looking at him. “Can I help you five with something?” He asked them.

Rarity was about to say something, but Twilight beat her to it. “Yes, I want to know why you let my brother take the blame for something you did.” She said with anger in her voice.

Blaze blinked a couple of time, not effect by the mare anger. “Your brother?” She nodded. “Are you telling me that Shining Armor is your brother?” She nodded again. “That pathetic excuse for a captain?”

Twilight did not like to hear that. “Don’t you dear call my brother pathetic.” She pointed a finger at him. “He is a respected guard and earned his title.”

Blaze just stared at her, then he did something they didn’t expect, he started to laugh. “Are you serious? Earned the rank of captain?” He keep on laughing.

Twilight was not amused. “Would you stop laugh at my brother.” She said with even more anger in her voice.

Blaze managed to calm himself down, he had to lean against the door frame. “Let me tell you something, a captain should train his guard, so they would listen to the princess.” He looked Twilight straight in the eyes. “Your brother did a crappy job at that part.” Twilight was about to protests but Blaze didn’t let her. “When I first arrived at the castle the guard hesitated when Celestia gave them an order, she had to give them the order a second time for them to react, with force in her voice and let’s not forget the day the Changelings invade Canterlot.” He took a step towards Twilight and she took a step backwards. “Your brother was under the Changelings queen spell for good how long and he knew nothing, your brother doesn’t deserve the title of captain.” Twilight tried to say something, but nothing came out, she didn’t know hat to say after hearing what Blaze said.

All of Twilight friends had listen to the conversation and they did not like the way Blaze was talking to Twilight, especially Fluttershy. She couldn’t believe what she was shearing, here was the pegasus she grew up with, reading about when she was young, admiring. She did not expect that he was a jerk.

“How dear you.” All off the m look at Fluttershy as she walked to Blaze. “How can you talk about Twilight’s brother like that?” She stopped not far from him. “When I was young I read that four hundred years ago you respected by your fellow guards, then why are you so mean to Shining Armour?”

“Yes, I respected my fellows guards four hundred years ago. That was then and now is now, the guard in mine time knew how to received and order and execute that order, that did not happened with these guards. When Celestia gave them an order they hesitated and that should not be the case.” Blaze pointed a finger at Twilight “Her brother did a crappy job training them.” He then looked Fluttershy straight in the eyes and she could see a little anger in them, which made her nervous. “Me and the other guard did not hesitate when we were given an order, I wish I could show you but it’s a little difficult considering they are all DEAD.” That made the girls flinch. Blaze took a few breaths to clam himself down. “I don’t expect any of you to understand, when you weren’t there.” He looked at them all at it looked his words reached them all. “If you all will excuse me, I’m tired and I would like to rest.” He walked back into his house and slammed the door.

The girls just started at the door, not knowing what to think, they didn’t knew if he was right or not, considering they hadn’t seen what happened at the castle. They were about to leave when the door open. “And tell that pink pony that I don’t want a welcome to Ponyville party.” He slammed the door again.

Blaze leaned again the door and slide down it to the door. “A guard should obey their superior and princess, I’m the one to talk.”

Canterlot castle four hundred and six years ago, six months after Blaze became a guard.

“What do you mean that you didn’t arrest him?” Captain Titus asked Blaze while slamming his hand on his desk.

Blaze’s captain had called him to his office after an incident earlier in the day. Blaze was patrolling the street of Canterlot, which he hated. He never like the ponies in the town, they always had their nose up high and never care about other’s then them self. It almost made him puke.

He was patrolling the marked districted, here could ponies by food and other useless junk. Then he heard someone yelled. “Help, I have been robbed.” Blaze looked in the direction where the yelling came from and out from a food store came an earth stallion with bread under his arm.

Blaze couldn’t help but give of a cocky smile, this was a perfect time to show off how fast he was. He got ready as the stallion started to run down the street, when he was ready he flew towards the stallion and managed to block the path. The robber collided with Blaze’s armor making him fall down on his back, the robber looked up at Blaze with fear in his eyes. “You know that crime doesn’t pay.” The robber was shocked that he appeared right in front of him, he got up and ran in the in the other direction, he didn’t get far. Blaze block the path. “You aren’t going anywhere but jail.” Blaze told the robber.

The stallion the went down on his knees. “Please, you have to let me go.”

Blaze raised an eye brown of what the robber said. “And why should I? You just robbed a store.”

“This bread is for my family, we have no money, me and my wife have no job, we lost our house. How else am I going to feed my family?”

Blaze wasn’t sure if he believed the stallion or not, only one way to find out. “Take me to them.” The thief blinked a couple of time, clearly confused. “I said take me to your family and will decide if you are telling the truth or not.” The stallion nodded and lead Blaze to his family.

After some walking they arrived at the bad part off town, where the warehouse was, warehouse thirteen.

Blaze looked up at the building, it looked like it was falling apart. “You and your family lives here?” They stallion just gave him a nod. “Alright, let’s go inside.” The stallion opened the door and they walked in.

Once inside Blaze was shocked over what he saw, he saw up to five families. They were sleeping on rotten mattresses, they had almost no clothes on their bodies and some of the children was sick. He was lost for words. “How, how did this happen?” He finally managed to say.

“The economy, I was a baker and my wife worked in a bank, but we lost our job because they needed to save money, we didn’t manage to get another job and eventually we ended up here.” Blaze watch as he walked to one of the family, a unicorn mare and two young once, a unicorn filly and an earth colt. “What happens now?” The stallion asked Blaze.

Blaze didn’t know what to do, the law said that he should arrest the stallion, but if he did, the kids would lose their father. He looked at the other families, they looked at him eager eyes, waiting for an answer. Blaze let out a heavy sighed. “I won’t say anything.”

That shocked everpony in warehouse. “Really?” The stallion asked Blaze, Blaze just nodded. “Why? The law says that you have to arrest me.”

Blaze rubbed his face with both hands. “Yes, is does. I just can’t take away a father from a family, I just say that you got away.”

When the stallion and his family heard that, they all went over to Blaze and gave him a hug. “Thank you, sir.”

Right now, Blaze was very uncomfortable. “Just, be more careful in the future.” He told the stallion while prying himself away from the family.

“I will sire and thank you.” The stallion and his family waved at him as Blaze exit the warehouse.

Once outside he looked at the warehouse with a smile, he might have looked the other way when it came to the law he swore to uphold but this felt right. “Man, the captain is going to chew my ass off.” He said while walking away.

“He got away.” Blaze told his captain.

The captain got up and slammed both hands in his desk. “He got away? You are the fast pegasus in Solar guard, how the hell did he GET AWAY?” He shouted that last part so much that spit came out from his mouth and hit Blaze in the face.

“He was more clever then I thought, I lost him the crowds.” He was lying but he didn’t care.

The captain didn’t believe him. “You lost him in the crowed? You are a pegasus, you could have just flown over the crowed and spotted him. I think you are lying soldier,”

“I am not lying, I lost him and that was happened.”

The captain had enough, his face became red off anger. “STOP LYING, YOU WILL TELL ME WHERE THE THIEF IS, SO HE CAN BE ARRESTED FOR HIS CRIMES.”

Blaze didn’t flinch at all. “No, I will not.”

The captain had enough, he was about to leap over the desk and beat up Blaze when the door opened and Celestia step inn. “What’s the meaning with all this yelling?” She asked both stallions.

The captain saluted. “Your highness, don’t worry I am handling this.”

Celestia couldn’t help but question what he said. “Handling this? You are shouting at your fellow guard and I want to know why.”

The captain looked at Blaze with a frown. “This guard won’t tell me where the thief is, a thief that stole some bread. So, I can arrest thief.”

Celestia walked a little closer to Blaze who stood completely still, she remembered Blaze from they first meet, and he looked like an honorable stallion. “I will take it from here captain.” She said with a kind smile with Blaze didn’t like.

The captain eyes widen when he heard Celestia say those words. “What?”

“I said that I will take it from here.” She put a hand on Blaze shoulder. “Followed me.” They both watch as she walked out from the room, Blaze eventually shrugged his shoulders and followed her.

The captain just stood there in utter shock. “But, your highness, I was…”

Celestia turned around reentered room and walked straight to the captain and looked him straight into his eyes. “Are you question my judgment?” The captain started to sweat. “Well?” He shocked his head. “Good, get back to work and let me handle this.” She turned around and walk out of the room and Blaze followed her, who had a smudged smile on his face. The captain collapsed into his chair.

After some walking Celestia and Blaze finally arrived at their destination, Celestia private room. The guards at her room saluted when they saw the princess but was taken back when they saw Blaze, they didn’t understand why a rookie guard was with the princess. Blaze just ignored them.

Once inside her bedroom, Celestia walked over to her desk and took a bottle. “A drink?” She asked Blaze, he didn’t answer, he just stood there unfazed. “More for me then.” She poured herself a drink and sat down in her chair.

Blaze just watch as she took a sip from her glass, he hated how high and mighty she was, he hated that. Many guards joined the solar guard to protect Celestia, not Blaze. He joined to protect someone ells. He then crossed his arms. “Is there something you want me your highness?” He said with annoyance in his voice, she could hear him, he didn’t care.

“Yes.” She put down her glass. “I want you to tell me what happened with the stallion that you were supposed to apprehend.” She then lifted her left leg over her tight and crossed her arms, waiting for an answer.

He didn’t fear her, but he decide it was wise to tell her. “The reason I let him go was because he had lost his job and he needed to feed his family.”

“And why did he lose his job?” Celestia asked him.

Blaze wasn’t sure if he heard right. “You don’t know?” He asked the princess, she just shocked her head. “He lost his job because he got fired, the job need to save money, so he and his wife lost their job and now they are living in a warehouse living of what they can find like rats. So much for your perfect Equestria.” He just huffed and looked away from her.

Celestia just started at him and started to become a little nervous, considering she didn’t show any emotion. Then she did something that surprised Blaze, she smiled and she was happy. “Finally, a pony that isn’t afraid to what speak their mind.” She threw her arms up while standing up. “You are right Blaze, Equestria isn’t perfect, the ponies that lives here think that it is.” She walked to the balcony door and looked down on the city. “They think that I are all powerful and that I have given them the perfect world, that isn’t true. I might move the sun and moon but I bleed, I can die, I don’t live for eternity, I can die and it scare me.” Blaze just listen to her, he was in shock. “We face crises in our daily life all the time and I can’t help them all because some of them don’t come to me, if they don’t, then I can’t help them.” She then turned to Blaze. “I want to help the family that is living the warehouse. Please Blaze Fury, tell me where they are.” She said with a somber face.

Right now, Blaze wasn’t sure what to do. He thought that princess Celestia was a just like the ponies in Canterlot, oh boy he was wrong. Her was a princess that actually cared about the ponies in Equestria. He chew his lip a little. “Alright, I will take you to them.” That made Celestia smile again. “On one condition.” Celestia tilted her head to the side when he said that. “That I am the only guard, if you brought more, then you are going to have a hard time convince the family that you want to help them.”

“You are right, bring more guard would probably scare them. That’s why we are going to them now, come on.” Before Blaze could do anything or say anything, Celestia had walked over to the balcony door, opened it and flown out.

Blaze walked over to the door and watch as the princess flew towards where the warehouse where and she was laughing. Blaze wasn’t sure what just happened, he scratched his head and said: “What the hell just happened?” He never thought he see princess Celestia act like a kid, he eventually shrugged it of and flew after her. He didn’t have any trouble catching up to her.

When they landed by warehouse 13, Celestia was on shock when she saw the stated of the building. “It looks like is going to fall apart.” She said with worried in her voice.

Blaze knew that already. He look over to Celestia. “Just so you know your highness, I told them that I wouldn’t say anything so I don’t know how they will react when they see you.” Celestia nodded in understanding. With that, they walked inn.

The family’s that were living in the warehouse was completely unaware off who was outside, when the door opened all of them looked at the door and saw that the guard from before walked inn but what shocked them the most was the pony who followed him, princess Celestia.

The stallion that Blaze had caught walked over to Blaze. “What’s the meaning of this? You told me that you wouldn’t tell anypony.” He asked with anger in his voice.

“I didn’t tell anypony.” Blaze told the stallion.

“Then why is she here?” The stallion asked while pointing at Celestia, Blaze didn’t have an answer for that.

Celestia decided to help Blaze. “My dear stallion, if you will just calm down and I will explain why Blaze told me what happened.” The stallion and the rest of the ponies in the warehouse wasn’t happy that Blaze had told the princess where they were, but they were willing to give the princess a chance to explain. “The reason why Blaze told me is because I was curious why he didn’t tell his captain what really happened to a thief that stool a bread, when Blaze told me what really happened, I was shocked. Shocked that I didn’t hear about and that nopony told me, if you all had come to me and ask for help, I would have given it you.”

“We did go to the castle to ask for help seven months ago but we never got the chance thanks your guards.” The stallion told Celestia.

Celestia just gave him a confused expression. “What do you mean by that?” She asked him.

“Your guard stopped us the gates, we never got the chance to see you.” The stallion half shouted.

Celestia looked over to Blaze. “Why are you looking at me? This was before I joined.” Celestia decided to slap herself mentally for that one.

Celestia looked back at the stallion and the rest of the family. “I don’t know what happened but if you all will come with me and my guard to the castle and I promise you all, that I will help you. I give you my word as a princess.”

The ponies in the warehouse wasn’t sure if they could trust her, last time they tried it didn’t end so well for them. They were nearly imprisoned by her guards.

“Can we talk it over?” The stallion asked Celestia, she gave him nod as an answer.

While the stallion’s family talk to the rest of them, Celestia turned her attention to Blaze. “Did you know about this?” She asked him while pointing at the families.

“I heard a rumor that a family was denied access to the castle, but I didn’t pay must attention to it.” Then Blaze saw a little anger in Celestia. “I was new, remember? How could I know that the rumor was true?” He told her in a scared voice.

Celestia thought about what he said and he was right, he couldn’t have known that the rumor was true or not, he was a new. When she got back, she was going to get to the bottom of this.

Eventually the stallion came back. “What proof do we have that you won’t arrest us when we arrive at the castle?” He asked Celestia.

“If that happened, that guard will be fired and arrested.”

The stallion looked over to the rest of the ponies, they all gave him a nod. “Alright, will come with you to the castle.” That made Celestia smiled.

When they arrived back at the castle, Celestia told some of the guard that they were to escort the five families to the guest rooms while she was going to help them find new jobs for them all. Blaze just watch as Celestia walked to the throne room, he had misunderstood her the hole time. She wasn’t a princess that only cared about herself, she actually cared about the ponies in Equestria.

In the present, Blaze couldn’t help but smile of the memory. He got up and walked to living room to relax for the rest of the day.

Blaze woke up the next day by someone ringing on his door, it keep going for five minutes. “Alright already.” He told the pony while walking down the stairs, he had only a pair of pants on him. “When I find out who developed the doorbell, I am going to kick that pony in the nuts.” He said while he opened the door, on the other side stood a unicorn mare with white fur and golden hair, she also had a big smile on her face. “Really? After four hundred years you still use that disguise.”

The mare smiled dropped when he said that. “You are no fun, you know that, right?” She said with a pout on her face.

“I have been told.” He leaned against the door frame. “Is there a reason you are here so early in the morning?” He asked the mare.

“Yes, I am going to invite you out for breakfast.”

Blaze rubbed his head. “You aren’t going to take no for answer, are you?”

The mare shock her head. “Nope.”

Blaze let out a sigh.” Fine, just let me get some clothes.”

Before she could say anything, he was gone. “I hate it when it does that.” She said with irritation in her voice.

It took Blaze five minutes to get ready and was standing in door way. “I am ready, let go.” He told the mare while looking the door to his house.

“Great, I know where we can eat. Follow me.” The mare started to walk toward center of the town and Blaze followed her.

Blaze and the unicorn was sitting by their table at the one of the local cafés in Ponyville, Little café. ”Why can’t you drop the disguise?” Blaze asked the unicorn.

“Because I want to have a normal breakfast without anypony recognize me.” Said the unicorn.

“Whatever you say Celestia.”

She put hand over his mouth. “Don’t call me that, you know that my name now is Sunshine.” She looked around to see if anyone heard him. “Just be glad nopony heard you.”

Blaze just rolled his eyes, he pushed away her hand. “I can’t believe that you still sneak out of the castle.”

Celestia/Sunshine raised an eyebrow. “What? I have done it before.”

“I know and who had to chase you? Me, I was your personal guard and every time you escape the castle, I had to track you down and bring you back to the castle.”

Celestia was to protests but the waitress came, it was a pegasus mare with light blur fur. “Hello, my name is Misty and I will be your waitress, here’s your menu.” She handed two of them to Blaze and Celestia. “What do you two want to drink?”

“Water.” They said at the same time.

“Alright, I go and…” She stopped mid sentence when she saw Blaze, she started to have closer look at him which crept him out. “Wait a minute, are you Blaze Fury?”

Blaze wasn’t sure if he should answer or not, he did. “Yes?” He answered a little concern in his voice.

Then all of sudden she squealed like little girl, chatting the attention of the rest of customers. “Oh my… I am like your biggest fan, I have read the part you like a hundred times. I thought you disappeared four hundred years ago.”

“It was in a time bubble that keep me suspended in time, I didn’t age in the bubble.”

Blaze wasn’t sure if the waitress had listen to him or not, she was just looking at him with goofy look. “This is so cool, let me get your water as fast as I can, I know that I am not as fast as you.” She ran back into the restaurant.

Blaze couldn’t help but rub his face in annoyance, he looked over at Celestia who had trouble keeping her laugh. “You are enjoy this, aren’t you?” He asked her.

“Yes, yes I am.” She said with a smile on her face. Blaze just slammed his head on the table. “Come on Blaze your famous.”

“I don’t want to be famous, I just want to live my life like normal pegasus.” He then look at the restaurant. “I just realized that is not going to happened.” He said with sadness in his voice.

Right now, Celestia felt bad for him. She knew how he felt, begging the ruler of Equestria isn’t easy for her. She can’t walk outside like a normal pony without attracting attention thanks to magic, Blaze can’t. “If it make you feel any better, I know how you feel.”

“It don’t.” Not the answer she was looking for, but she didn’t say anything.

When the waitress came back with their water, they both order egg with hay bacon and some toast. Celestia had never eaten that kind of breakfast before which surprised Blaze.

“So, how was your first day in Ponyville?” Celestia asked Blaze while eating.

“I meet elements of harmony.” Celestia look up from her from food when he said that. “A really charming gang, especially laughter.”

“Oh? Please tell.”

“She want to throw me just because I moved to Ponyville which make no sense.”

“Don’t you want to make friends?” That just confused Blaze so Celestia decided to explain. “Pinkie throws a party when a new pony comes to town so he or she can make friends.”

“Are you telling me she thinks we are friends just because we meet one time.” Celestia nodded. Blaze was just baffled. “That’s not how friendship works, I know it and you know it so why she doesn’t know it?”

Celestia just shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t know, I never asked but she believes it.” Blaze just slapped a hand on his face and groaned. “So, what are you going to do now that you are living a normal life?” Celestia asked Blaze.

After done eating and payed for the food, which Blaze did. They decided to take a walk to the park. “I don’t know yet, I was think about getting a job.”

That made Celestia raise an eyebrow. “A job?” Blaze nodded. “Why? You are rich, why get a job?”

“The money my sister left me isn’t going to last forever and besides, I got have something to do. If not, there’s a chance I’ll go crazy.”

“I guess that makes some sense.” They found a bench to sit down on. “I know how you fell.”

This time is was Blaze to raise an eyebrow. “How can you possible know how I fell? All you do is to sit on your ass all day long and give orders to guards who doesn’t listen to you.”

“Hey, I do other things.” Celestia told him in a frustrated tone.

“And what’s that? Listen to other ponies all day long? I was in the castle for one week and only ponies that came in to talk to you was those that lived in Canterlot, ponies with money. Do you even let other ponies from other towns to enter the castle?” Celestia tried to say something but she couldn’t come up with something, she didn’t know. “Oh my… You don’t know, do you?” Celestia looked down on the ground with her ears folded. Blaze couldn’t help but rub his forehead. “I think you should do some changes in the castle.”

Celestia let out a sigh. “I think you are right.” She looked up at him. “How do you that?”

“Do what?”

“Make me see the errors in my way I do things.”

Blaze just shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know, call it a gift.”

Celestia couldn’t help but smile. “You are to modest for your own good.”

“I don’t know about that part.” That made the princess laugh.

Then Celestia got up. “I think it best I get back to the castle or my sister will send out a search party.”

“Probably for the best.” They said goodbye to each and them Celestia teleported away, leaving Blaze alone. “What I am going to do now?” He then decided to take a walk through town.

Blaze was walking down the street of Ponyville, wondering what to do next. He had no specific destination in mind and before he knew it, he had ended up at the school. The school building had seen better days, the paint was falling off and the roof looked like it was about to collapse. One thing was coming to his mind, why didn’t anyone do something about it? Well, Blaze had the money and he was going to do something about it, and he knew the mare to help him. He couldn’t help but smile while picturing her holding a paintbrush.

He started to walk again and this time he decided to see how the school children was doing, he knew that they were outside considering he could hear them when he arrived. When he arrived at the back yard, he saw a ball coming towards a thigh speed, which he manged to catch easy. It was red, probably for hoof ball. “Hey mister, can we have our ball back?” He looked at some kids who standing not far from him, he smiled at them and threw it back. a pegasus with black hair managed to catch it. “Thanks mister.” They went back to playing.

Blaze couldn’t help but smile of what he saw, a punch of young ponies having fun. They didn’t care what was happening around them, they were just having fun. He then notices two ponies, one had grey fur with light grey hair, and she was wearing glasses. The other one had light pink fur and her hair had two different colors, white and purple. She was also wearing a tiara on her head. Blaze couldn’t help but question that, was that a trend? Both was earth pony.

They were walking toward three ponies who was sitting by a bench, probably talking. One was an earth pony, she had light yellow fur with red hair and tail, she also had a red bow in her hair which Blaze thought was cut. Then there was a unicorn, she had white fur, purple and pink in her hair and tail. The last one was a Pegasus, she had orange fur with purple hair and tail.

Blaze then looked back the two earth ponies who was walking towards the three others, he didn’t like the smug smile they had on their faces. He decided to find out what they were up to by getting closer. And with that he disappeared.

“What should we do after school? Try and get our cutie marks?” Apple bloom asked her friends.

“I don’t know, we keep doing these pointless things and nothing happens, maybe we should give up.” Said Scootaloo with a sombre voice.

‘So, they want to earn their cutie marks. I have been their myself.’ Blaze thought to himself while watching them. Then the two ponies he saw before approached them, still having that smug smile on their face. ‘What are those two up two?’ He thought while watching them.

“Well, well. Isn’t it the blank flanks?” Said the one with a tiara on its head.

Blaze couldn’t help but question her words. “What do you want Diamond Tiara?” Said the earth pony of the three.

“Oh nothing, I just want to remember you all that you don’t have cutie marks and I do. It’s so pathetic.”

That was all Blaze could take, if there one thing he heats, it’s a bully. “This ends now.” Before Diamond Tiara and the other could react, Blaze stop between her and CMC with his arms crossed. “What the hell do you think you are doing? What gives you the right to look down on other ponies just because they don’t have a cutie mark and you do?” All of them were shock of what happened, they weren’t sure what happened. One minute there were no one there and the next, a pegasus was standing between them.

Diamond Tiara had trouble speaking, she was just in shock. “Who are you and how dare you talk to me like that? Do you know how my father is?”

Blaze took a step forward which made Diamond and her friend to take a step back. “Who I am doesn’t matter right now, what’s matter is that you should not tease does who haven’t a cutie mark, it’s not right. Also, I don’t care who your father is.”

Diamond Tiara was furious, now pony was allowed to talk to her like that. “Why should I care about some blank flank?”

“Every pony starts as a blank flank even you.” She was about answer, but Blaze wouldn’t let her. “You, me and even Celestia herself didn’t have a cutie mark when she was born.” He then moved so fast that he was in her face before she could blink. “I suggest you leave now, before lose my temper.” He then could see fear in her eyes, he looked at her friend with anger in his eyes, that made the pony with glasses to sweat. They both ran away. Blaze stood up. “Brats.” He then looked back the three ponies. “Are you three alright?” They all nodded slowly, not sure what just happened. “Good.” Blaze then spread his wings and took off.

The CMC just watch as the Pegasus flew away, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Bell had no idea who he was. “Who the heck was that and why does he looked like Spitfire?” Apple Bloom asked her friends.

Sweetie Bell wanted to answer her, but she had now idea and her brain had shut down, she had trouble understanding how the pegasus could be that fast. Lucky for them, one of them knew. “Blaze Fury.” They both look at Scootaloo. “That was Blaze Fury, I wrote a paper on him.”

“Blaze Fury? The pegasus who disappeared four hundred years ago? That was him?” Apple Bloom asked her pegasus friend. Scootaloo could just nod. “Wow, he is really fast.”

After confronting the with the bullies. Blaze was now in a bad mood. “Those little brats, I guess Equestria hasn’t chance at all.” He said to himself while walking towards Sugarcube corner. “Maybe some food while calm me down.” When he finally reached the shop, he stop dead in his track. Walking in was someone warning a cloak, Blaze couldn’t see who it was, but he knew what it was. “Zebra.” He said with venom in his voice.

Zecora entered the Sugarcube corner and once inside she could smell all the different flavours, buns, muffins, cake and even more. This was probably her favourite part of Ponyville.

Zecora walked over to counter, where an energetic pinkie was. “Hey Zecora, what can I get for you today?” Pinkie asked the zebra as she approached.

Zecora removed her hood, revealing her white and black mohawk. “Hello Pinkie, I am just her to buy coffee.”

“Sure thing, give me a moment and I give get it for you.” Pinkie said with a smile. She then disappeared in the back to get Zecora’s coffee.

While waiting, Zecora decided to check her bag and see if she remember all she was to buy, she opened the bag and looked into it. “Huh, it looks I forgot to buy carrots, I hope that Carrot top has some left.” She closed her bag and looked up, when she did, she could see a very angry pegasus standing right in front of her with an angry look and before she could react, she was grabbed by the neck, lifted up in the air, she felt her back hitting the wall.

“What the hell are you doing here zebra?” The pegasus asked her with anger.

Zecora tried to answer but it was difficult when he was squeezing to hard. “Blaze, what are you doing.” Zecora looked to her left and saw Pinkie looking at them, she was in utter shock.

“What am I doing? I want to know what a zebra is doing here and why it’s allowed to walk around without supervisor.”

“Her name is Zecora and she lives here, and she’s our friend.”

Blaze couldn’t hear any lies coming from the pink pony, he then looked at Zecora. “I will ask you one question zebra and you better answer right, do you know any time potion?”

Zecora wasn’t sure why he asked the question, she had no idea who this pony was. He then loosen his grip she could talk. ”No, don’t know any time potion, that knowledge was lost over three hundred years ago.”

Blaze looked into her eyes to see if she was lying. “You aren’t lying, that’s for sure.” He then let her go and Zecora fell to the ground, trying to breath.

Pinkie rushed over to her to see if she was alright. “You ok Zecora?”

“Yes, I am fine.” She said between breaths.

Pinkie was relieved when she heard that, then she became angry. “What’s wrong with you Blaze? You could have…” She looked where he was standing but realized that he was gone. “Wow, he is really fast.”

“Pinkie… who was that pony?” The zebra sked the pink pony.

“That was Blaze Fury, the Pegasus that disappeared over four hundred years ago.”

Zecora was shock when she heard that. “That was him?” Pinkie nodded. Zecora just stared at the door, she understand why she could see anger in his eyes.

After the incident at Sugarcube corner, Zecora was walking back to her hut in the Eeverfee forest, still think about what happened. Ever since first day at school, children in Zebra nation had learn about Blaze Fury and the shaman four hundred years ago. It’s has been difficult for her, considering she is a descendant from the shaman that imprison Blaze in the time bubble. The other kids always teased her for it, and she had to live it, it wasn’t easy that’s for sure.

When she finally reached her hut, she was surprised to see who was there. “Blaze Fury.” She whispered to herself. He was sitting not far from her hut and he was meditated, he’s legs was crossed, and he was resting his arms on his knees, what really got her attention was that was hovering, not far from the ground.

She didn’t know what to do, he wasn’t blocking her path to the door, but she was still terrified. She could try and run but something told her that he would catch her really fast, she hadn’t a chance. There was only one option, talk.

“Are you going to hurt me again?” She managed to say.

He opened his eyes, which made her back away a little. Then he did something she never expected he went down on one knee. “I am here to apologize for what I did, I let me hatred for zebra judge my action, I wasn’t think clearly and for that I am truly sorry. Therefore, I am offering my service to you, whatever you ask me to do I will do it, until you forgive me.”

Zecora blinked a few times, not sure what to believe. Not long ago this pony was strangling her, and know he has just pledge his service to her.

She wasn’t sure what to say, eventually she found the words. “That isn’t necessary, you don’t have to do this.”

“As I said before, I let my anger take control and I am sorry. So yes, I have to do this.”

Zecora walked slowly to her door. “No, it’s REALLY not necessary. I am not mad at you or anything.”

“Then I will sit here until you need me.”

She place her hand on the doorknob. “You do that.” She then disappeared into the door as fast as she could. Once inside she leaned against the door and all that she could say was; “What a day.”

For the rest of the day, Zecora was busy fix a potion for the different ponies from Ponyville. Some were for headache, sore stomach and other things. She was preparing the last sup when she notice something. “Damn it, I’m missing some berries.” She look outside and saw that it was getting dark. ‘I hate walking into the forest in the night, but I need mores berries.’ She thought to herself. “Well. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.” She gathers her thing and her staff and headed out.

Once she was outside, she saw that Blaze was still there, meditating. “Are you still here?”

“I told you, I will be here until you need me.”

He was persistent, she give him that. “Tell you what, you help me collect berries and I will forgive you and we can go back to our lives. Deal?”

Blaze opened his eyes to look into her eyes. “Deal.” He stood up and it was then Zecora notice how muscular he was, especially his arms. She also notice how handsome he was, it made her blush. “Is there something wrong considering you are staring at me?” He asked her.

She shook her head. “No, nothing is wrong. Let’s go, I want to get the berries and get home before the sun set.” She decided to hurry it up and started to walk very fast, Blaze couldn’t help stare at her wondering what just happened, he eventually shrugged his shoulders and followed her.

The eventually arrived at the clearing in the forest, where Blaze could see some black berries. He pick one. “You know that these are poison?”

“I am fully aware of that, but they are great for medicine.” Zecora told him.

Blaze had no idea if she was telling the truth or not, but he didn’t know anything about potion or medicine. “If you say so.” He said while looking at the one he picked.

“Here.” She took a plastic pouch out of her bag. “You want to help? Fill this up.” He didn’t say anything, he just took the pouch and started to collect berries. Zecora did the same.

While they were collecting, none of them dear to say anything. One could cut the tension between them with a knife. There was one question that Zecora wanted to ask him, but she didn’t dare. She was afraid to insult him, eventually she ask him.

She stopped and looked over to him. “How was it?”

He looked at her with confusion. “How was what?”

“To get trap in a time bubble, to be awaken four hundred years later?”

“Why? So, you can make a new one?” He said with some anger in his voice.

Zecora started to regret asking the question. “What, no. I am just asking. I don’t know how to make a time potion, if you remember I told you that the knowledge was lost. I am asking because I am curious, nothing more.”

He just stared at her and he then went back to picking berries. “I don’t know what you want me to say, I felt the bottle hit me, I then saw a light and the next thing I knew I was in a forest. I didn’t see princess Celestia or anyone ells. So yes, you can say it was a shock to me realizing that I have been transported four hundred year into the future, for me it was in a matter of a second.”

“Did you fell anything?”

He shook his head. “No.” Zecora didn’t know what to think. She was intrigued about the whole thing but at the same tome she didn’t want to push it, it couldn’t be easy for him.

When they had collected enough, the sun had almost set. “I think it best that we head back now, I don’t want to be in this forest after dark.” Blaze told Zecora while handing her the berries had pick.

“I am not going to argue with that.” She answered while putting away the berries.

They were about to leave when they heard noises in some bushes in front of them. “Get behind me.” Blaze told Zecora and she didn’t hesitate at all. It didn’t take long before two manticore came out of the bushes and they looked hungry. “This is not good.” He took and arm around Zecora. “Hang on.” Before Zecora could react, she saw the world move past her in an incredible speed and before she knew it, she was in front of her hut.

After Blaze let go of her, she had to looked around to see if she really had gotten home. “What just happened? One minute two manticore was about to eat us and now we are back my hut, how?”

“I brought us her.” Blaze told her in a clam voice.

“That’s not possible, no pegasus can move that fast.” She almost shouted it all, trying to comprehend what just happened.

“I can.”

Zecora just started at him not knowing if what just happened was real or not, she rubbed her face. “If you say so, just don’t do that with Twilight, she would probably end up in the hospital.” Blaze believe every word she said about Twilight. “Anyway, thank you for saving me from the those manticores, I can live another day.”

Blaze bowed. “It was nothing.” He got up. “Now, if you will excuse me, I’m going home to get some sleep.” With that said, he spread his wings and flew up in the sky.

Zecora just watch as Blaze disappeared into the sky and somehow, she blush. She shook her head. ‘No, I can’t be attracted to him, I just meet him.’ She decided to think about it the next day, right now she just wanted to go to bed. She opened the door and went in.

“You want me to what?”

It was a normal morning in the Canterlot castle, the servants were doing their daily routine, the chef was coking food for the princess and the guards was on duty. But for Celestia, they day started a little different then usually. Blaze had showed up right after breakfast and suggested that she and her sister should come with him to Ponyville and fix the school there.

“I just said that you and your sister should come to with me to Ponyville and fix the school, do normal things.”

“That was I tough I heard.” She let out a sighed. “As much as I want Blaze, I can’t just leave and ignored my duties.”

“What duties? All you do is sit in your butt all day and listen to ponies, which is mostly from Canterlot and when you are done with you sit on ass eating cake.”

“Hey.” Celestia got up from her chair she was sitting on. “I do more than that, I don’t sit on butt all day. I also walked.” She offended by what Blaze said, that’s for sure.

“Oh please, you walk inside the castle and just smile at everypony that works here, just to keep up that good princess act you have.”

Celestia started to get frustrated. “I don’t have a ‘good princess’ act, that’s just how my little ponies see me.”

Blaze couldn’t help but rolled his eyes when she said ‘my little ponies’. “You still use that phrase I tough you gave up that long ago, they are not your ponies.” He pointed out the window. “They are the citizens of Equestria, you did not give birth to them all. The last time I check, you were not my mother.”

Celestia was now in right in front of Blaze. “I never said that I was their mother, I say my little ponies because I care about them all.” She raised her voice a little at the end.

“Then why does it sounds like they are yours?” Blaze took a step further towards Celestia, their noses almost touched each other.

“They are not mine I am their ruler and…”

Blaze cut he off. “Stop using the same excuse you used four hundred years ago.” Blaze took a few steps back and threw his arms in frustration. “I really thought you had chance after all these years, you are not above any pony in Equestria, just because you move the sun doesn’t make you any special, you are just like a normal pony. You are born, you live your life and you will eventually die.”

Celestia couldn’t help but chuckle a little. “You know what I hate and love about you Blaze?”

“What’s that?”

“That you are right sometimes.”

Blaze couldn’t help but snort. “Sometimes?”

“Alright, almost every time.” The made Blaze smile and Celestia to roll her eyes. “So,” Celestia sat back down in her chair and crossed her left leg over the other. “you want me to go to Ponyville, in civilian clothes and help fix the school?”

“Pretty much.”

“You also want me to go without and of the guards.”

“Yes, if you brought a lot of guard, they would probably chase everypony away.” Celestia was about to say that it was their job to make sure she was safe. “And before you say anything ells, you once told me that you felt safer with me then teen of your guards.”

Celestia tilted her head to the side in confusion. “When did I say that?”

Blaze’s face darkened. “Right before the war.”

Celestia slap her mentally for that one. “Right, I forgot about that.” Celestia rubbed her head before she decided. “Alright Blaze, I’ll join you.” Blaze was happy to hear that. “Let’s see if can get my sister on this, she need to get out more.” She told him while getting up, Blaze didn’t mind that.

“You want me to do what?”

After Celestia told Luna what they had in mind, the princess of the night was shock, to say the least. Blaze started to wonder if there was something wrong with just going outside and doing normal thing, maybe it was a trend this day.

“We want you to come with us to Ponyville and fix the school there.” Celestia told her sister, again.

“I understand that part, but what I don’t understand why we have to go without our guards.”

“Blaze want the ponies in Ponyville to see us as normal ponies, not a ruler that sit on a throne all day and listen to royal snob in Canterlot.” Celestia shuddered by though of sitting and listing to does Canterlot snob.

Luna shifted on the bed. “I don’t know, some ponies are still afraid of me.” She looked at her computer that was in her bed. “Only five percent want me to enter their dreams.”

Celestia blink a few times. “What?”

Luna started to explain. “About a week ago, I asked the ponies of Equestria what they thought about me entering their dream and only five percent didn’t mind.” She let out sad sighed. “I guess they are still afraid of me.”

Celestia sat down by her sister side and put and hand on her shoulder. “Then why don’t join me and Blaze to Ponyville to fix the school, then ponies can see that there’s nothing to be afraid of, that you are a normal pony.”

Celestia had a pointed, maybe if she did something normal ponies in Equestria would see that she isn’t dangerous.

“Ok, I’ll join you and Blaze.” That made Celestia hug her little sister. “But what are we going to do with the guard? My night guard won’t have any problem with me leaving with you and Blaze, it’s your guard we should be worried about.”

Celestia just gave her a smile. “Don’t worry, I have a plan when it come to my guards. Can you call your guards? I need their help.”

Luna nodded. “Guard.” The door opened almost at once. Blaze, who was leading against the wall, was a little surprise that pegasus came in and not a bat pony. “Yes, princess Luna.” Said the guard.

Luna nodded to Celestia. “I know that I am not Luna but is it possible that you can fetch Raven Inkwell for me.”

The guard saluted. “Of course, princess Celestia.” The guard turned around and walked out.

Celestia just started at the door. “Well, I didn’t expect that.”

“I guess the night guard is better trained then your guard Celestia.” Blaze said in a mock tone.

“Normally I would argued with you Blaze but this time you are right.” Celestia looked at Luna. “What kind of training did your guard do? Mine have trouble listing to me.”

Luna could only shrugged her shoulders. “I have no idea it was captain Shadow who trained most of them.”

It didn’t take long before Raven Inkwell arrive, she was a unicorn with white coat, her hair and tail was brown. She was wearing what looked like a business suit, Blaze thought it looked idiocy. She was also wearing a pair of black reading glasses.

Raven got her clip board ready. “You called for me your highness.”

“Yes, me and my sister are going out and I am leaving you in charge of the castle.”

When does words was said, Raven and Luna’s eyes widen. “WHAT?” They said at the same time. Blaze didn’t say anything he was just a little surprise.

Luna got up from her bed. “You are leaving her in charge of the castle?”

Celestia got up from the bed. “Not the entire castle, she is going to keep my guards inside the castle. The last thing we need is them making a fuse over that I am gone Shining would probably have heart attack if he found out.” Luna could understand why, Shining had tendency to overreact at time. “And beside, your guards actually listen to you.” Celestia said in a sombre voice. “Mine don’t.” She said with a sad voice.

“I blame your captain, Shining Armour.” Both princesses looked at Blaze, who was still leaning against the wall. “I think he should go through some training to become a better captain because he is doing a crappy job.”

Blaze had a point, a captains job was to train the other guard and that’s Shining, he was doing his job very bad.

Then Celestia got an idea. “You have a point there Blaze and I would like you to train him.”

That got the pegasus to raise an eye brown. “You want me to train him?”

“Yes, you were a captain once and if I remember correctly, you did a good job.”

Over four hundred years ago, it the training area of the castle.

Blaze was looking at the new recruit, two unicorn , four earth ponies and three pegasus. They were all standing beside each other in single line “Alright, listen up. My name is captain Blaze Fury and it’s my job to train your sorry asses so you can protect princess Celestia. Now, before we start, does anyone off have any questions.?” One of the unicorns raised their hands, Blaze stood in front of him. “Speak up then.”

The unicorn lowered his hand. “With all due respect for the princess, I didn’t join to protected her.”

Blaze could fell a little anger raising in him. “Then why do you want to become a guard?”

“I want to protect the ponies of Equestria, why do an alicorn need protection anyway? She can move the sun and moon.”

Blaze calmed down when he hear the unicorns reason. “You are right, why do the princess protection when she can move the sun and moon, she could probably destroy any enemy that tries to kill her.” Blaze started to walk in front of the recruit. “But what about when she is not all mighty?” That just confused them all, Blaze saw that. “Does all off you think that she is all might every time?” He asked them but none of them had any answer. “There are times when she is just a normal pony, when she is sleeping, eating, relaxing after a hard day’s work, taking a walk through town to see what ponies are doing. At those times it’s our job to protect her.” He stood to looked at them all. “I felt the same when I started as a guard, then I saved the princess life and then I understood that she also needs protection. She isn’t an immortal pony who lives forever, she can bleed, she can died, just like us.”

Every recruit had listen closely to what he said, and they had never seen it that way, they all thought that Celestia was an all power full being. They didn’t think that she also is a pony that can bleed and died, she is just a normal pony.

“Now, are you ready for some training?”

“YES CAPTAIN.” They shouted at the same time.

Up on a balcony stood Celestia and a unicorn with golden fur and white hair. “That Blaze fury is one of a kind.” Said the unicorn.

Celestia couldn’t help but smile. “You are right about that one Soul.”

Present day.

“Sure, I can train him. Just make sure that he understand that I am his boss.” He said with an evil grin, he was going to have some fun with the captain.

Celestia nodded. “Don’t you worry, I will make him do the training, or he will lose his job.”

Then Luna decided to say something. “Now we got that out of the way, what about Raven.”

They all looked at Raven who was standing still like a statue, ever since she heard that Celestia put her in charge of the castle, she hadn’t move a muscle.

“Raven? Are you all right?” Celestia asked in worried tone, when she hadn’t move at all.

Celestia snap her fingers in front of Raven’s face and made her come back, Raven blinked a few times. “I must have been dreaming, I could have swear that princess Celestia let me in charge of the castle.” She said while rubbing her head.

“It wasn’t a dream Raven.” Said Celestia.

Raven stared to panic. “I can’t be in charge of the castle, I don’t what to do, I am not a princess.”

Celestia placed her hands on Raven’s shoulders to calm her down. “You don’t have to do my duties Raven I only want you to keep my guard in the castle while I and my sister travels to Ponyville with Blaze.”

Panic was replaced by confusion. “Come again?”

“Me and my sister is going to Ponyville to help Blaze over there.” They both looked at the pegasus who gave them a saluted with two fingers. “And I want you to make sure that my guards stay inside the castle, if they find out that I am gone they will probably panic and send out a searched party.”

Raven nodded. “Okay, why? Why are you and your sister going to help a pegasus that disappeared four hundred years ago?” She asked the princess.

“Because Raven, I want to do something normal for a chance. I am in the castle all day long listing to riches ponies snobs that want more money to make them more money, I am sick of it and I want a day off. I think my sister want it to.”

Raven looked over to the younger princess, Luna gave her a nod. Raven have been Celestia’s personal assisted for four year and she could understand why the princess wanted to have a normal day, she let out a sighed. “I only have to keep your guard inside the castle until you are back, is that all I have to do?” She asked Celestia.

“Yes, I will also chancel all my appointment, so you don’t have to worry about that.”

Raven removed her glasses and rubbed her eyes. “Alright.” She put them back on. “I’ll do it, I will keep your guard inside the castle so you and your sister can do whatever you are going to do in Ponyville.”

That made Celestia very happy that she gave Raven a hug. “Thank you so much Raven.”

The hug made Raven blush. “Well, you own me one after this.”

“You got it.” Celestia let of her sectary and look at her sister. “Do you think your Night guard can help Raven?”

Luna nodded. “Sure, I let captain Shadow know.”

“Now we got that care of.” Blaze got off the wall he was leaning on. “Let’s get you two some new clothes, my treat.” Before the sisters could say anything, he was out the door. “See you both at the castle entrance outside.” He told them before he left.

All the ponies in the room could only stare at the door, they had trouble understand what just happened, one moment he was there and the next he was gone. Celestia had known him the longest and she had still problem understand how he was so fast.

Raven was the first one to speak. “Wow, that’s fast.” They all nodded in agreement.

A Normal Day

“Man, I can’t believe you talked me into this.” Said a frustrated Blaze as he sat on a train to Ponyville.

After Blaze had bought Celestia and Luna new clothes, they were now on their way to Ponyville by train. Celestia had managed to convince Blaze to take the train and he was not happy about it, the only positive about the train ride was that the two princesses weren’t using any disguise.

“Would you stop complaining Blaze? You have done nothing but complain ever since we left Cantrolt.” Celestia told him an annoying tone.

“Can you blame me? I wanted to fly to Ponyville but no, you two wanted to take the train.”

“You are the one that asked us to act more like a normal pony not a princess and here are, we are taking the train like normal ponies, we aren’t wearing any jewels or a crown on our heads.”

Blaze didn’t want to admit it, but she was right. “Whatever.” Was the only thing he said while looking out the window. Celestia just rolled her eyes of his answer.

“I don’t understand what the big fuss about, I like the train.” Celestia and Blaze looked at the passenger seat in front of them. Luna was using the entire seat, she was leaning her back against the window while her left leg was on the seat while her right was on the ground supporting her, she was also playing a game on her phone. “A train ride gives you the time to think about stuff and it can be quiet.” Then they heard sound of the whistle on the locomotive. “Sometimes.” She told them while not taking her eyes of her phone.

“Maybe for you but I like to spread my wings and fly, I feel like I am trap here.” He told her while squirming in his seat. He was sitting by the window and Celestia was on his left. “And beside.” He looked around the train carriage. “I was hoping not to draw attention so fast.” Celestia and Luna looked around the room and saw that the ponies there were looking at them, wondering what they were doing on a train in civilian clothes.

“I will admit that you have a point to draw attention this fast.” Celestia told him while waving to some of the children, who just smiled and waved back. “But, isn’t this what a normal pony dose?” She looked at him. “Sitting on train to their destination?”

Blaze tried to come up with something to say but nothing came to mind. He just leaned back in his seat and crossed his arms. “Whatever, I am going to take a nap. Wake me when we get there.” He then leaned his head to the window and closed his eyes.

Celestia and Luna just watch as he fall asleep, Luna just smiled. “I have to admit, he is a special one.”

Celestia also smiled. “You are right about that.”

Luna looked at her sister. “How do you think the ponies in Ponyville will react when they see us wearing ‘normal’ clothes?”

Celestia had to think for an answer. “I am not sure I think this is the first time that I have ever wore ‘normal’ clothes outside of the castle, I usually wear them on Sunday.” She smiled. “I love Sunday.”

Luna agreed with that. “Yeah. Here’s another question, how do think Shining will react when he finds out that we ‘snuck out’ form the castle?”

“Probably freak out, he takes his job very seriously.” Celestia couldn’t help but giggle of that, so did Luna.

Back at the castle, Shining had found out that Celestia was not in the castle anymore and he wanted to search for her but there was one problem, he wasn’t allowed to leave the castle.

“What do you mean that me and my guards aren’t allowed to leave the castle?” Shining asked Raven.

They were currently standing in front the castle doors, Shining had few guard and was ready for find Celestia but standing in there was Raven and Luna’s Night guard, blocking his way.

“For the last time Shining, Celestia has given me control over the castle while she is away and one of the orders she gave me was to keep you and the rest of the Solar guard inside the castle.” Raven told the captain for the fifth time, at least that was she thought, she had lost count.

“Why would she do this? Leave the castle without her guards?” He asked her.

“She didn’t leave her without guards, they are with Blaze Fury.”

“That old relic? How can he do a better job than my guards?”

Raven placed a hand on her chin. “Well, he would probably not overact over everything that happens to her, he would probably not arrest every pony that get close to her.”

That got Shining to react. “I don’t do that.”

Raven looked at him with narrow eyes. “You arrest a ten year old colt when he just wanted to give her flowers.”

Shining tried to defend himself. “That was a while ago.”

“It was last week and don’t try to deny it, I was there.”

“Ok, I admit that I overreact a bit.”

Raven’s eye started to twitch. “Overreact a bit? Didn’t you hear what I just said? You arrest a ten year old colt that just wanted to give princess Celestia flowers, you don’t do that.” Raven then looked over to Shadow, “Captain Shadow, is it normal to arrest a ten year old colt who just want to give the princess some flower?”

Shadow shook her head. “Heck no, I would never do that.”

Raven looked back at Shining. ”You have the tendency to take your job too seriously and that’s why she didn’t want you or any other guards following her and her sister.” Raven looked at the rest of the guards. “Listen up, princess Celestia has given me the orders to arrest any solar guards that tries to leave the castle to bring her and her sister back, if anyone of you even thinks about leaving then you will be arrested.” She guested towards Shadow. “Captain Shadow and her night guard will arrest any solar guard that are trying to exit the castle, those who get arrested will deal with princess Celestia when she get back.” That put fear in every guard. “If we have an understanding, get back to work.” Every guard got back to work, expect one.

Shining just stood there, looking at the door. He couldn’t believe that the princess trusted a pony that live four hundred years ago then him, was earning Celestia’s trust for nothing?

He was brought back by Raven. “Captain Shining Armor, get back to work.” He said nothing, just walked away.

Raven and Shadow just watch him leave. “Captain Shadow, if he or any other guard tries to leave the castle, arrest them.”

Shadow smiled at the order. “It would be my pleasure.” There was one thing Shadow didn’t like and that was Shining Armour and he solar guard, they threat Luna’s night guard like they didn’t even matter. So, it was good to see they had the upper hand for once.

“Pick out some night guard to watch over the castle doors, just in case.” Shadow gave her a saluted, she then told two of them guards to stand guard. Raven crossed her arms and smile. “That felt good.”

The train that Celestia and Luna was on, had finally arrived at a Ponyville. On the journey many ponies had asked them why they was traveling with the train and was wearing normal clothes, the answer they got was that the princesses wanted to act like normal ponies for once.

The train come to a stop, Celestia decided to wake Blaze. She nudge him. “I don’t want to go to work sister, Celestia is a weird ruler.”

Celestia look over to her sister who had an amusing look on her face, Celestia just rolled her eyes. “I am not your sister Blaze, the train has arrived at Ponyville, it’s time to wake up.” That got his attention.

Blaze opened his eyes and stretched his upper body. “How long was I was I asleep?” He asked Celestia.

“About forty minutes.” She answered him.

He gave her a nod. “Alright then.” Before the sisters could react, he was gone.

Luna looked around the train cart and only say other ponies getting off, she didn’t see Blaze at all. “Did you ever get used to that?” She asked her sister, Celestia just shook her head. That made Luna groan. “Great.” She got up and walk to the exit, Celestia followed her.

When step on the platform, they saw Blaze just standing with his back against them looking at Ponyville. They walk over to him.

“How are you so fast?” Luna ask him. “How can just disappeared like that?”

“Years of practise.” Luna look at her sister for advice, she just shrugged her shoulders. “Are you two ready for this?” He asked them.

“As ready we can be.” Celestia answered him. He gave them a nod and they walk into town.

They walk to the hardware store was a different experience for the royal sister, instead of ponies bowing for them, they were given strange looks. Ponies in Ponyville had never seen their two rulers wearing ordinary clothes, just dresses with jewellery and a crown on their heads. This was a new experience for them all.

“Have the ponies ever look at you like this before Celestia?” Luna asked her as he looked around.

“Can’t say I have.” Celestia then look around. “I kind of like it.” That made Luna look at her as she had gone crazy. “Don’t give me that look, I like that they don’t bow to use. After all these years I have gone tired of it.” Luna didn’t want to admit it, but her sister had a pointed. It could be tiresome after a while. Then they finally at the hardware store.

Blaze opened the door for Celestia and Luna, they walk in and Blaze follow them. Once inside the two sister could see a lot of different thing, such as hammers, sawblades and many other things that one would use to fix things.

Blaze walk over to the counter, but no pony was there. “Hey, it there anypony here?”

“One moment.” Said a voice behind a curtain. It didn’t take long before elderly stallion came out from the back. “Sorry, I was busy with…” He stop talking when he saw Celestia and Luna browsing his merchandise. “The princesses? What are they doing in my shop?”

“Hey.” The stallion look over to Blaze. “You are not dealing with them I am your customer and beside, to they look like a princess at the moment?”

The stallion look over to the two sister and saw that they were wearing jeans, t-shirt and jackets. “No, I guess they do not.” He look back the Blaze. “What can I get you?” The stallion ask Blaze.

“The same paint as the school house and some brushes.”

The stallion nodded. “About time somepony want to paint the school, let me get it.”

Blaze watch as the stallion disappeared back, he then decided to find some brushes. While walking to where they were, he saw that Celestia and Luna still looking at different things. “What’s the matter with you two? It looks like you have never been in a hardware store.”

Celestia look at him. “We haven’t, we haven’t have a reason to go into one before.”

Blaze wanted to say something but then he remember who they were. “Right.” He pick up three brushes that was lying not farm from the counter.

Blaze then saw the stallion return with two paint cans, he then disappeared in the back again. It didn’t take long before he appeared again with another can. “There, this should be enough for the school.” He told Blaze as he walk over to him. “That will be 200 bits.” Blaze took out his credit card and pay the stallion.

While he was doing that, Celestia and Luna had walk over to counter. “Here.” Blaze handed them each a can. “Make yourself useful.” He grabbed the last one, the brushes and headed out the store.

The sisters watch him go. “He is very straight forwards.” Said Luna.

Celestia just smiled. “Yes, that he is.” They followed him outside.

Once they reached the school house, the children had left for the day and Cheerilee was about to close the school. Little did she knew that a pegasus and two princess was walking towards her.

“Excuse me, miss Cheerliee.” Said Celestia in a clam voice.

The teacher turned around. “Yes, what can I help you…” That was all she could say when she saw who was talking. “Pppppprincess Celestia and princess Luna?” Her eyes widen and her mouth became dry.

She was about to bow. “Please don’t, there’s no reason to bow, me and my sister is not her as princess today just normal ponies.”

Cheerliee wasn’t sure what to say, they didn’t dress like a princess. There were no crown on their heads, they were wearing normal clothes, not dresses. “I… I… I… I…” That was she could say.

Blaze just rolled his eyes of the teacher, he look at Celestia. “Why don’t you try and explain what we are here to do, I am going to get started.”

Celestia nodded. “That I can do, why don’t you help him Luna.” Her sister nodded in agreement. Celestia gave Blaze her can, then he and Luna went to work.

Cheerliee just watch them go. “What… What’s going on?”

“Were are to give your school a new paint job, that’s all miss Cheerliee, I hope you don’t mind.”

Cheerliee had to prosses what Celestia just said. “I guess so.” She look at the school building and the paint was falling off. “But why? You are the princess, why are you doing this?”

“Blaze, he convince me and my sister to act like normal ponies for once and I thought it was good idea. We are lock inside the castle all day long, listening to noble ponies on how many they want and to be honest, I am sick of it. That’s why I agree to this, if you will excuse me I better get to work, or Blaze will shout at me. Have a good day miss Cheerliee.” Celestia walk over to her sister and Blaze leaving a very confused Cheerliee alone.

“What just happened?” Was all Cheerliee could say as she walk home, very confused.

After some work, Celestia had a big smile on her face, it felt good to do some real work for once, she look over to her sister who was standing beside her and she was also smiling. Then she look over to Blaze, he wasn’t smiling but he was painting in a normal pace.

“It’s weird to see you go in a normal pace.” Celestia told Blaze in a teasing voice.

She couldn’t see it, but she knew that he was rolling his eyes. “Haha, very funny. Even I like to take it slow sometimes.”

“I don’t think I never heard you use the word ‘slow’ in a sentence before.” He didn’t answer her. “You know that ponies are going to come and see what we are doing, right?”

“I am fully aware of that, considering the looks we got when walking through town.”

And as soon as those words had left Blaze’s mouth, ponies started to walk towards the school house. Blaze could hear them talking whispering. He couldn’t hear what they were talking about, but he had an idea. He look over his shoulder and saw that Twilight and her friends was leading them all, which didn’t surprised Blaze at all.

When they reached them, Twilight was the first one to speak. “Princess Celestia, what are you doing?” Blaze couldn’t help but slap a hand on his face of the question.

“What does it look like Twilight, me, my sister and Blaze are painting the school.” Celestia told her in an annoyed voice.

“But, you are princess, you shouldn’t do this stuff you have guards to do this.”

Celestia put away the brush, she then turned around to face her former student. “And what’s that supposed to mean? I shouldn’t do this.” She said while pointing at the school. “Am I not allowed to do this by myself just because I am a princess?”

Twilight hesitated a little before answering. “Yes?”

Celestia was about to say something but Blaze beat her to hit. “That’s it, I had enough.” They hadn’t talk for long, but he was feed up already, he stop what he was doing to face the crowd. “What the hell is wrong with you ponies? Can’t you look past the word ‘princess’ at all?” He pointed at Celestia and her sister. “They may be princess on the outside but what about the inside? There was a time before they became rules of Equestria and back there they were normal ponies. Ponies with real feelings, ponies who can think for themselves, ponies…” He stop to calm himself down. “You know what? Forget what I said, you are never going to listen.” He look at the two sisters. “You two can finished painting if you want, I can’t continue with this crowed here.” He spread his wings and took of faster than ponies could think.

Celestia and Luna look at where Blaze had flown off to, then Celestia whispered something to Luna that the crowed didn’t hear.

Then Luna step forward. “Me and my sister are very disappointed in every pony here, we just wanted to something normal for a chance but no, you all had to ruined everything.” She then gave Twilight a look. “Some more than the rest.” Twilight wanted to become very small now. “Right now, we want all of you to leave and let us finish or work.” The crowed didn’t react. “I SAID LEAVE.” That got everpony to leave, except six ponies. “That means you six to.”

Twilight was about to say something, but… “My sister said leave Twilight, NOW.” That got them to disappeared very fast.

Luan look over to her sister who was breathing heavily. “You ok Celestia?”

Celestia took a few deep breaths to calm herself down. “Not really, let’s just finished what we started, then I want to find Blaze.” Luna nodded and then they went back to work.

It took them almost half the day before they were finished, the school looked like it was brand new when they were done, and they were pretty happy with the result.

Luna then look at the paint they had used and saw that there were some left. “What should we do with the paint that are left?” She ask her sister.

“Let’s give them to somepony who can store them for us, I want to say Twilight, but I am not in the mood to talk to her right now.”

Luna nodded in agreement, then she got an idea. “Applejack?”

Celestia thought for a moment. “That not a bad idea, let’s ask her.”

“What if she don’t want to?”

“Oh, she better, if she don’t want to piss me of.” Those words scared Luna a little, Celestia is very scary when she is angry.

Once the had deliver the paint cans to Applejack, who was happy to store them, they left to find Blaze.

While the soar through the sky, Luna look to her sister. “Just where are Blaze? Finding him can’t be easy.”

Celestia just smiled. “Don’t worry Luna, I know where to find him. Follow me.” Celestia flew towards the edge of town and Luna followed her.

It didn’t take long before they found Blaze, he was sitting on a cloud just looking at the forest White Tail forest.

They landed on the same cloud as he was sitting on. “You know, I just want you two have a normal day doing normal things.” He let out heavy sighed. “I guess is too much ask for even for you two.” He look over his shoulder. “I am sorry for doing this to you both.”

“Now, you listen here Blaze. You didn’t do anything wrong it may have not gone as you had planned but me and Luna had good time painting the school. Sure, it didn’t go as you had planned it, but we had fun.” Luna nodded in agreement.

Blaze just look at them, he was entirely convinced. “If you say so.” He look back at the forest. “I guess you two are headlining back now.”

“Yes, I think Raven had enough of ‘being’ me today.” That made Blaze smile. Celestia walk over to him and put a hand on his shoulder. “I really meant that I had a good time today.”

Luna. “So did I.”

Blaze said nothing, he just sat there looking at the forest. “Do you still want to train Shining next week? You don’t have to if you don’t want to.” Celestia saw a smile on his face.

“Oh, trust me, that’s something I want to do.”

“Good, me and my sister are heading back now. Talk to you another time.”

He waved them goodbye as they took to the sky leaving him alone. Blaze let out a heavy sighed.

“What a day.”

Game Night

It was Friday night in Ponyville and Blaze was taking a walk through town but there was no pony around, it was like a ghost town. He knew that Friday was the day the weekend started but this was ridiculous.

“Where is everypony?” He ask no one particular as he stood in town square. He couldn’t help scratch his head. He then decided to walk towards Sugarcube corner to see if anyone was there or someone could tell him where they were.

He didn’t get very far as he saw a pony walking towards him with bags in her hands. She had dark purple fur and her mane was two different colors, which he couldn’t see that well thanks to the dark, but he recognise her as the pony at the school.

“Excuse me miss, can you tall me where everypony is..” He ask the mare when she was close enough.

The pony stood and look at him, she could swear she had seen hm before. “Don’t I know you?” Then it dawn on her. “Oh, you are the one that came with the princess yesterday to paint the school. Thank you for that, building looks much better.”

Blaze bowed a little. “It was nothing, do you know where everypony is?.”

She gave him a puzzle look. “You don’t know?” Blaze just shook his head. “It’s Friday and that means it’s game night.” Blaze just look clueless, Cheerilee couldn’t help but giggle a little. “If you want to know, just find the building that have the words Game corner on it, and you will find out where most ponies are.” Blaze thank her and took to the sky so he could find the building.

It didn’t take long before he found it considering it was way to find, the name Game corner was blinking, Blaze landed by the door and walk in. Once inside he could see a bunch of wooden boxes that ponies was standing in front of, there was also names on them, Space Invaders, Pac-man and many more. It also look like the ponies that were playing had fun.

He looked around the room and notice that it was pretty big, it looked like it could have at least forty maybe fifty ponies. He then saw a familiar pony with blue fur and even more darker mane by one of the bokes, he walk over to the pony.

“Come on you stupide plumber, get up there.”

The pony, who was female was playing a game called Donkey Kong and she was very into the game, she didn’t even notice Blaze standing behind her.

“I didn’t know that the princess of the night could skip her duty.”

The mare heard his voice, she froze and then Blaze heard a sound on the boxes, he then saw the words game over on the screen. The mare turned around very slowly and boy was she surprised when she saw who it was.

“Blaze, how did you know it was me.”

“I didn’t, you just confirmed it now.”

Luna relax a little. “I guess I did.” She said with a smile. “So, may I ask what you are doing here? This place dosen’t say Blaze Fury.”

“Tell you what, if I tell you my reason you will tell me your, deal?”

Luna thought for second, it was just Blaze and she sure he wouldn’t tell anypony. “Sure.”

“The reason I am here is because I was curious where everypony was.”

Luna blink a few times. “That’s it?” Blaze nodded. “If that’s your reason, then ok. My reason is that this is the only day I can come and relax and other stuff, night court is so boring.” She said that last part while whining. “Nopony shows up and those who do are ponies from Canterlot who only complain, I want have one night that I can do things I want to do and on Friday I want to come here and play video games. Is that too much to ask for? I don’t understand why we have night court.” She said while crossing her arms under her breast.

Blaze did understand what she meant, he has been standing guard a few time when Celestia had court in the day and it was boring as hell. He wanted to say something to Luna but never got the chance.

“Oh yeah, that’s number 98, who wants to be number 99?”

Blaze and Luna look over to where the voice were coming from and what the saw was a familiar rainbow colored pegasus by one of the boxes, Rainbow Dash. She had her arms in her air, then Blaze saw another pegasus walking away while looking down on the ground with ears folded, the pegasus looked defeated. There was also a crowd around them.

“Right, I had forgotten about that.” Luna said in annoyed voice.

“About what?” Blaze ask without taking his eyes from Dash, he then saw a male pegasus with mohawk walking towards her with determined look.

“Rainbow Dash is trying to set a record by beating 100 ponies in the game Street Fighter 2, I was victim number 50 a couple of weeks ago.”

Blaze didn’t now what Street Fighter 2 was, but he knew that he didn’t like Rainbow Dash very much. The little time he had been in Ponyville she had done only one thing and that’s bragged that she is the best, he want to do something about that. He can’t stand ponies with a ego. “Is it easy to learn?” Blaze as the princess.

Luna look at him with raised eyebrow. “You aren’t think about challenge her are you? She is the best player in town.”

He ask again. “Is it easy to learn?”

“Yes, you just have to press the buttons right and the game will do the rest. You are really going to challenge her.” He said nothing as he walk towards them. “This I have to see.” Luna followed him.

When they both arrived, they could see Dash and male pegasus bushing the buttons on the game like crazy. Then Dash threw her hands in the air. “Yes, that’s number 99, to bad Thunderlane.” The pegasus known as Thunderlane walk away and Blaze could her him cursing. “Alright, who is going to be number 100?” Dash ask while looking over the crowd, no came forward. “Really? None of you want to challenge me? Cowards.” That did not Blaze like.

“I will challenge you.” Now everyone’s eyes were on him.

“Are you crazy Blaze? Rainbow Dash is the best player in town, you can’t beat her.” Luna whispered to him.

He look at the princess. “I won’t know until I try.” He then look at Dash. “If you didn’t hear me Rainbow Dash, I will challenge you.”

Dash couldn’t help but started at Blaze if he had gone mad. While growing up, she idolized Blaze, she wanted to be like him and now he is challenging her in Street Fighter 2, one thing she is better than then the game and that’s flying.

Dash scratch her head. “I’m not sure, I don’t want my number 100 to be that easy to obtain.”

Blaze crossed his arms. “What’s the matter? Are you scared? Scared that I will beat you?” That got the crowed to say ‘oohh’.

It also made Dash angry. “Fine, if you want a beating then game on.” He walk over to her and got ready.

The first thing he saw was a stick sticking up from the wood and two buttons, he figured out that it was almost the same as using a computer.

“If you want me to explain how to play then just say so.”

“No thanks, let’s just play.”

Dash snorted. “If you say so, this one is on me.” She took out a bit and put into the machine, Blaze was a little shocked that one had to pay to play this games. “Pick your character.” Blaze look at the screen and he saw eight different pictures he guessed that they were the character he had to choose from, they all looked different but the one he was drawn too was the one called Dhalsim. That made Dash laugh. “Your picking Dhalsim? He’s the weakest character in the game. Whatever, if you want to lose that bad then fine, I’m picking Ken.” She did that.

When Luna saw that she became very worried, she knew that Dash was an expert with Ken and Blaze had never played a game in his life. Then they began. The first round went to Dash, she won the round with ease, Blaze managed to get in two hits but that was it. Then the second round started and this time it was much closer, they picked the same characters, but this time Blaze was the winner. They had the same amount of life left but Blaze managed to get the finish blow.

Dash was in shock she had never lost a round in Street Fighter before. She look over to Blaze who was just calm as ever. “You got a lucky shoot, not in the last match.” Blaze said nothing, he just got ready.

The last match was the opposite of the first one, in the first match Dash destroyed Blaze and this time it was his turn to destroyed Dash. She didn’t have any chance at all, she manage to land one hit and that was all. Blaze won with ease.

The entire crowed was silence, Dash was undefeated in 99 matches and she had just lost match number 100. When it came to Blaze, he wasn’t the one to gloat but this time it felt good to win.

Blaze decided he had enough fun for one night, he turned around and started to walk towards the exit, the ponies that had been watching step aside, not saying a word.

Dash just started at the screen she didn’t like to lose. “Hey Blaze.” She said while turning towards him, he stop. “I want a rematch.”

Blaze just stared at her. “Why?”

“I am one of the best player when it comes to Street Fighter and you managed to beat me after playing the game twice, that’s not possible so I want a rematch.” He just keep staring at her which irritated her. “Say something.”

“What’s you problem?”

“My problem? My problem is that I don’t like to lose, that’s my problem.”

Blaze sighed. “I get it, you have an ego.” He ruffled his hair. “Let me guess, you won something, or something happened to you when you were young that change your life and it gave you an ego.” Dash was about to respond but Blaze didn’t let her. “Here’s something you might have heard but you are probably ignoring, losing is a part of life, you cannot win in everything, you learn more when you lose then winning. Take me for example, I lost every time before I got as fast as I am, but I didn’t whine like a baby when I lost, I just tried to get better. If you can’t accept that you lost, then you are lost.” He didn’t let Dash respond he walk out the exit. Luna followed him.

When Luna step outside she loo around to see if she could spot him, lucky for her, he hadn’t gotten far. “Blaze, wait up.” She said while running after him.

Blaze stop and turned around. “Is there something I can help you with princess?”

She stop. “Yes, you can tell me how you managed to beat Rainbow Dash like that. Like is said before, she is the best player in the game so how did you managed to beat her?”

“I learn fast.”

Luna wanted to say something, but nothing came to mind, she just laugh little. “If you say so. Are you going home?”

Blaze nodded. “Yes, I have to think what to do when Shining arrived on Monday. What about you? Going to play more games.”

Luna shook her head. “No, I think I had enough games for one night. I think I will head home, nice talking to you Blaze and thank you for the show, it was fun to see Dash lose.”

They said goodbye and went their separate ways.

The Day Before Training

The weekend was over quickly for Blaze, nothing happened major happened only that Rainbow Dash was pouting the whole time after Blaze beat her in Street Fighter, Blaze didn’t really care about that. Blaze was currently at the train station waiting on the train from Canterlot, there was a specific package on that train.

“The train from Canterlot will be arriving shortly.” She a voice over the speakers.

It didn’t take long before the train arrived, when it stop a very unhappy unicorn step out from one of the train carts, Shining Armor, with luggage’s. He has been in a bad mood ever since Celestia had left the castle without him, he was supposed to protect her but instead of that, she went to Ponyville with a guard that was not a guard anymore.

Shining look around the platform until he spotted Blaze, he walk over to him. “Her I am, are you happy?” He told the pegasus when he was close enough.

Blaze could see that he was unhappy. “What’s your problem?” He ask Shining.

“You want to know what my problem is? I’ll tell you what me problem is, I am captain of the royal guard but instead of doing my job I am here in Ponyville to be trained by a guard that is supposed to be dead.” Shining said with annoyance in his voice.

Blaze wasn’t sure if that was an insult or not. “You are here because you did a lazy job training Celestia’s guards, a guard is supposed to obey the princess right away and your guard hesitated every time. Now, I have trained guard before and they have obeyed her orders without hesitation. You can leave any time and return to the castle but be warned, if you do that you will lose your job as captain of the royal guards. The choice is your pick carefully.”

Shining gritted his teeth, as much he hate to admit it, Blaze was right. A guard was supposed to obey princess Celestia’s orders right away, he’s guard didn’t do that when Blaze first showed up. There also been other times when they haven’t done what they have been told.

Shining snorted. “Fine, let’s just get this over with.”

Blaze nodded. “Good, follow me.” Blaze turned around and started to walk towards town, Shining followed him.

Outside the library, sat Twilight Sparkle, relaxing and reading a book. “What a day, sitting outside with a book in nice weather.” She let put a happy sighed. “I love days off.” Then she happened to look in the direction of the train station and she saw her brother walking towards her with Blaze Fury, she couldn’t help but wonder why. “What’s my brother doing here with Blaze?” She asked herself, she decided to find up. Twilight got up and walk over to them.

“Big brother, what are you doing here?” She ask Shining once she caught up to them.

“I am her because princess Celestia thinks I did crappy job in training the guards at the castle so I’m here to get special training by Blaze.” He told her in an annoying tone, he then look at Blaze. “And here’s is something that’s been bothering me, why should I listen to you anyway? Considering what you did to my wife.” That confused Twilight, she had no idea what her brother was talking about.

“I did nothing to her, I just told her what I thought about her decision nothing more. She chose to turn away from Celestia’s path herself.” Blaze explained in a calm voice.

“What are you two talking about.” Twilight ask her brother.

“What? You don’t know? Didn’t Cadence tell you?” Shining asked his sister.

Twilight shook her head. “No, I haven’t talk to her for a while.”

“Well, she is no longer an alicorn anymore thanks to him.” Said Shining while pointing at Blaze who were calm.

“And?”

Shining was shocked by his sister answer. “And? Is that all you have to say? Twilight, she isn’t an alicorn any more and it’s Blaze’s fault.”

Twilight couldn’t help but roll her eyes by her brother behaviour. “What’s wrong with me? The question you should ask is what’s wrong with you? Don’t you love Cadence?”

Shining hesitated a little before answering. “Yes, but…”

Twilight interrupted him. “No buts, if you really love your wife as you say does it really mater if she is an alicorn or pegasus?”

He hesitated again. “I guess you have a point, I love my wife no matter what.”

That made Twilight smile. “Good, then you can stop complaining, you big baby.” She then walked back to the library.

“You’re a baby.” Shining mumble to himself, he then look over to Blaze who had a goofy smile. “Enjoying yourself.”

“Yes, yes I am.”

Shining rolled his eyes. “Whatever, let’s just get this mover with.” He started to walk again, and Blaze followed him.

They eventually arrived at Blaze’s house and Shining was a little surprised to see it, it was your standard two floor house.

“Not what I expected.” Said Shining.

Blaze opened the door. “And what were you expecting?” He asked in with annoyance in his voice.

Shining shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know, maybe something bigger.”

“Sorry to disappoint you but this is what I bought.” Blaze stepped aside. “Just get your ass inside.” That he did.

After they went in, they both went to the second floor. There, Blaze opened a door ravelling a room with a bed and night stand. “This is the guest room and your room as long as you are staying here.” Shining nodded as he walk into the room. “I suggest you get some sleep we will start 6 am tomorrow morning.”

Shining almost had a heart attack when he heard that, he turned around. “6 am? Are you crazy? Nopony get up that early.”

“When does the guard get up in the castle?” Blaze asked the unicorn.

“8 am.”

“And there’s you problem, get ready at 6 am tomorrow morning.” He then closed the door leaving Shining alone.

Shining couldn’t help but groan. “What have I gotten myself into?”

It was another day in Equestria, the sun had just risen on the horizon and the ponies in Ponyville was starting to wake up to start their day. In one special house lay the captain of Celestia’s guards, Shining Armour. He was sleeping peacefully in his bed.

Then the door opened and in walk a pegasus named Blaze Fury. “Time to wake up Shining, your training starts today.” There was no reaction coming from the sleeping unicorn, that made Blaze leave the room and walk towards the bathroom.

It didn’t take long before he came back with a glass of water which he poured right in Shining’s face, that got him to wake up. “What the hell.” Shining sat up in the bed. “What’s the meaning with this?” He asked while trying to understand what just happened, he then saw Blaze standing by the bed with a glass in his hand. “Do you have a reason for waking me at…” He grabbed his phone to see what time it was. “6:03 am in the morning?”

“I told you get ready at 6:00 am this morning and since I had to wake you, you didn’t listen to me.”

“I thought you were joking.” Said Shining while rubbing he eyes.

“I never joke when it comes to training. Now, take a shower and get dress, I will make breakfast.” Blaze then left the room.

Shining just watch him leave. “I really hate him.” He got up and walk to the bathroom. Once he was finished and got dressed, he head to the kitchen where he saw Blaze standing by the stow, probably coking. “I didn’t think you could cook.”

Blaze didn’t turn around. “There a lot you don’t know of me.” He then placed some eggs in a plate and gave it to Shining. “There’s you breakfast, eat up so we can get started with your training.”

Shining look down on his plate witch contained egg, toast and hay bacon. “Aren’t you going to eat.”

“I have already had breakfast, eat up and meet me outside.”

Before Shining could say anything, the Pegasus was gone. He let out a heavy sighed. “This is not going to be fun, that’s for sure.” He started to eat.

Once Shining step outside he could see Blaze waiting for him. “Follow me.” They started to walk ans Shining followed him.

After five minutes of walking they were just outside the town. “Alright, we are now on the outskirt of Ponyville and you are going to run around the entire town as many times you can..”

Shining look at the pegasus as he had gone mad. “Excuse me, did you just say that I have to run around Ponyville?” Blaze nodded. “Are you crazy? You can’t expect me to do that.”

“And why not? You are the captain of the solar guards it should be easy for you.”

“But, I have never ran around a town before, the most I have done is a couple of laps in the training ground in the castle.”

“And that’s what is the problem with your guard, they lack discipline because you didn’t train the good enough, so I am going to teach you how we trained in the old days.” Blaze walk over to the unicorn, so they were face to face. “Either you do this or lose you position as captain, it’s your choice.”

Shining wanted to argue but it was pointless, Blaze as right either he do this or lose his position as captain. “Fine, let’s just get this over with.”

Blaze was happy when he heard that. “Good, just so know I will be watching you from above so don’t try and slack of.”

Shining couldn’t help but roll his eyes. “I wouldn’t dare to slack of.” Blaze could hear the sarcasm, but he just ignored it. Shining started to tun and Blaze took to the sky to keep an eye on him.

Shining start of slow, he didn’t want to burn up all his energy at once. As he ran he could see ponies looking at him as he ran past them, they were wondering what he was doing. As Shining reached the ‘entrance’ of town, he could see one of Twilight’s friends pulling a wagon with apples towards town, it was Applejack. The farm couldn’t help but wonder why she saw Twilight brother run past her, she then saw Blaze fly above him, that confused her even more.

“I wonder if Twilight know what’s going on.” She said to no one particular.

Shining had eventually lost count how many times he had ran around the town, he eventually arrived at the spot where he first started, exhausted. He fell on his back in the grass, Blaze landed beside him.

“You managed to run eight laps around town, not bad at all.” Blaze told the tired unicorn as he tossed a water bottle that landed beside Shining.

Shining sat up and grabbed the bottle, he pop the cork and drank half the bottle. “You sound surprised.” He then poured some of the water on his head.

“I am, I thought you only would do three. I guess I was wrong.”

Shining couldn’t help but smile. “The great Blaze Fury was wrong? I didn’t expect to hear that.” Blaze just rolled his eyes.

“Shining, what are you doing?” Both stallions look in the direction of the voice, it was Twilight who was walking over to them.

“Twilight? What are you doing here?”

“Applejack saw you run past her a while ago and that Blaze was following you, so I decided to find out why. I went to Blaze’s house, but I couldn’t find you, so I used magic to track you here. Also, you didn’t answer my question.”

“I am training your brother under the order of Celestia, she thinks that he did a lousy job with her guards, so I am training him like we did in my time.” Blaze told Twilight.

“By running around the town? Isn’t that a little extreme.” Twilight asked with some worried in her voice.

“If you have some issue with my training you can take it up with Celestia, I don’t really care what you think about my training methods.” Blaze look over to Shining. “I think you have rested enough, give me twenty push ups.” Shining just groaned as he went down on his stomach and started to do them.

Twilight watch as her brother did his push ups and she couldn’t help but feel bad for him. “Alright, I will call princess Celestia and tell her this is ridiculous and that my brother is a good captain.” She took out her phone and dialled Celestia number.

It didn’t take long before Celestia answered. “Hello Twilight, what can I do for you this morning?” The princess asked.

“Hello princess Celestia, I didn’t call at bad moment?”

“Not at all, I just finish breakfast. Now, why are you calling me?”

“is true that that you let Blaze training my brother?”

“Yes, that’s true. You brother did a lousy job with my guards, so I asked Blaze to training him.”

Twilight heard something feel on the grass, it was her brother and he was exhausted, again. “But Blaze made him run around Ponyville, isn’t that a little extreme?”

“I admit that Blaze’s training methods are a little extreme, but he gets results.” Twilight was about to say something. “And before you say how good your brother is let me tell you something. Last week my guard hesitated twice before they react, I had to yell at them, I shouldn’t do that. And your brother isn’t any better, he once arrest a ten year old colt who just wanted to give me flowers.” Twilight remember that one, their parents wasn’t happy when they heard that, she was embarrassed. “I think he needs this.”

Twilight let out a sighed. “You may have a point princess.”

“Me having a point here isn’t the issue her Twilight, Shining Armor did a lousy job training my guard and if he wants to keep his job he we let Blaze training him.” She then hung up on her former student.

Twilight let out a defeating sighed, the princess was right Shining need this. She look over to her brother who now was doing sit ups, once he was done he collapse in the grass.

“So, what did Celestia tell you?” Blaze asked Twilight.
“She said that Shining had to do this if he wanted to keep his job, I don’t like it, but she is right.” She started to rub the spot between her eyes. “Just don’t kill him with your training.”

“I promise nothing.”

Not the answer she was looking for, but she took it. She said goodbye to her brother who just answered her with a wave, then it was just the two of them again.

“Alright captain, when you have gotten your breath back I want you to run around Ponyville again and then we are done for the day.” Shining gave him a thumbs up.

After Shining had run around the town three times, Blaze decided to threat the captain with some food for a good exude training session, after Shining had taken a shower. Since the unicorn was too tired to take a shower himself Blaze had to help him, it was an awkward shower that’s for sure.

Shining was currently sitting by a table with his upper body on the table, he was in pain. “I can’t feel my body.” After the shower they went to the café Blaze had breakfast with Celestia a few days ago. “I think I broke every muscles in my body.”

Blaze just rolled his eyes. “Would you stop complaining, I went easy on you today.”

That got Shining to look up. “You want easy on me?” Blaze nodded. “That’s just great, I can’t wait until you don’t.” Said the unicorn while placing his head back on the table.

Then the waitress came, and it was same mare as before, Misty. “Hey, Blaze your back and your…” She then saw Shining. “Is your friend dead?”

“No, I am not dead, and he is NOT my friend.” Shining managed to somehow say.

“Princess Celestia ask me to train him because he’s a lousy captain.” Shining wanted to say something but he didn’t.

Misty just nodded. “Alright, if you say so. Here is your menu.” She handed one to Blaze while she just placed the other one by Shining’s head. “I will back with some water.” She then left them.

Then Shining decided to ask Blaze something. “How long do I have to train?”

“Until I think you are ready.”

Shining let out a sighed. “Great.”

After they had eaten they went back to Blaze’s house, which pleased Shining. Blaze wasn’t going to let him train more that day, even he knew that one has to rest at times. The next day was a day of for Shining, Blaze wanted him to rest.

For the next two months Blaze trained the captain of the solar guard and he surprised by the captain progress, Shining became more adapted to his training than he expected, even more faster to.

Shining was currently running around Ponyville as usually, when he first started he managed only eight rounds this time he managed twenty, which was a huge progress. He did more push ups and sit ups then normal. Twilight came out once a while to watch her brother train and she was proud of him. Blaze even decided to join him in the last two weeks, he was currently running with him.

They eventually finish running. “Not bad at all Shining, you have improved a great deal the last two months.” Blaze told the unicorn after the run.

“Thanks.” Shining said while rest his hand on his knees while catching his breath, he then stood up. “You know that sound like a compliment.”

“Don’t get your hopes up unicorn.” Shining just smiled. “I hope you now understand why Celestia send you here to train with me.”

“Yes, as painful it’s for me to admit it my guards are poorly trained, and I need to train them again.”

Then he heard Blaze clap. “Bravo, it took you two months, but you finally understood it and that mean you can go back to the castle.”

Shining eyes widen when he heard that. “Are you telling me all that I had to do was to admit that my guards war poorly train and then I could go back to the castle?” Blaze just nodded, then Shining threw is arm up in the air in frustration. “Give me a break.”

“Yes, all you had to do was to admit that your guard was poorly trained and survive my training, and you did both. Tomorrow you can travel back the castle.” Shining didn’t say anything, he just past out on the grass. “Huh, I didn’t expect that.”

The next day Blaze and Shining stood on the platform on the train station waiting for the train to Canterlot.

“Well Blaze, I have to say these two months has been an experience I have never experienced before, I have also learn a lot these months.”

Blaze smiled. “That good to know.”

Then Shining did something Blaze never thought he would do, he held out a hand. “It was honour to be train by you.”

It took a moment before Blaze came over his shock, he haply shook Shining’s hand. “You are welcome, captain.” Both ponies smiled.

“The train to Canterlot will arrive soon.” Said the voice in the speaker.

“I guess that’s my train.” Shining picked up his luggage. “Look Blaze, I don’t know if you believe me, but I promise you when I get back I will train mu guards better.”

“If you do that Shining I will apologize to your wife for what I said.”

That made the unicorn happy. “I appreciate it.”

Then the train came, both ponies said goodbye to each other and when the train left Blaze was all alone. “I hope that Celestia will be pleased.” H turned to Ponyville. “Time to find a job.” He walked towards the town.
