> The CMC&Sly Cooper In... > by Saberking2012 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Meeting New Allies > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Every night is always spectacular. The lights are everywhere, the streets are up, and everyone wants to have fun. But everyone has their own way of having fun: go to parties, having dinner, and meeting up for social events in Paris. However, there are also those who enjoy breaking the law. It couldn’t been an even better night for the Cooper Gang as they are about to pull off the biggest heist of the century. “Sly, what’s your status?” Bentley asked via binocucom. “Pitch perfect, Bentley. Murray?” Sly said. “A-ok, Sly. What’s next?” Murray asked. “Sly, I need you to sneak past that lightpost and pickpocket the guard’s keys. Murray, you stand by and wait for Sly’s signal to open the door. Are you listening, Sly?” Bentley explained. “Yup. On my way to the rendezvous,” Sly said. “So Sly. How long has it been since your time in Egypt?” Bentley asked. “Oh, you know… stealing from criminals, tricking the cops, making some money, same old, same old,” Sly replied. “I see. Any new moves you’ve picked up?” Bentley asked. “Of course. When I was with Slytunkhamen, he taught me some moves that nobody in the Thievius Racoonus ever learned. You should’ve been there. It was so amazing,” Sly explained. “Oh? Let’s find out,”Bentley said. “Yeah! Show us, Sly!” Murray shouted through the binocucom. As Sly ninja-spired and rail-walked his way across the buildings, he had a recollection of the time that he spent in Ancient Egypt. Slytunkhamen taught him some moves that have never been revealed to the entire Cooper Clan for generations. Remember one of the moves that Slytunkhamen taught him, he disappeared like a ghost. “Hey Sly. You were on the map a second ago, and now you’re gone.  Where are you?” Bentley asked. “Relax pal. It’s just one of the new moves that Slytunkhamen taught me. You really need to loosen up a little. Seriously,” Sly replied. “I know. It’s just… you’ve been gone for so long and I thought-” “Don’t worry, Bentley. I’m not going anywhere. We’re still in this together, whether we’re a team or not.” “Bentley does have a point. Ever since you were gone, eating without you just hasn’t the same. Still, it’s good to have you back.” “Same here pal. Same here…” Sly got closer to the guard and he started picking his pocket. He continued to dig even further until he got the key. He went and pickpocketed a few more keys until he got the necessary amount to unlock the door panel for Murray to get inside. “I’m inside the building, Bentley. What’s next?” “Okay. Murray, I need you to clear out as many guards as you can while I crack through their security system, but I need you to wait for my signal. Can you do that, Murray?” “Can do, chum!” While Murray stood at his position, Bentley immediately went to work on hacking the security system. It didn’t take him long to take out the entire system. After finishing up, Bentley said, “Your turn, Murray.” “Okay!” Bentley opened the door for Murray using the switch on the computer. When he entered, he proceeded to beat up every guard that he came across. As soon as he was finished, he was waiting in front of the door for Sly to open. The timing could not have been perfect, as Sly has robbed every guard of his key. He opened every lock that was on the door and Murray entered. He fought every guard that saw him along with Sly. When they were finished, Bentley shut off the entire system and immediately went over towards their position. “So what’s the next plan Bentley?” “Beyond that door is the Red Stone of Egypt. All we need to do now is steal it and get the heck out of here.” “You’ve really thought of everything, huh Bentley?” Sly asked. “What can I say? It’s all in a day’s work,” Bentley replied. “Nice day for a comeback!” Murray said. “That it is Murray. That it is,” Bentley said as he nodded. “Would you do the honors, big guy?” Sly asked. “My pleasure,” Murray said enthusiastically. Just then, Murray punched through the door like it was a board. They went inside and they saw ahead the Red Stone of Egypt. Before they could approach it, they suddenly heard this clap in the room. “Greetings, Sly Cooper,” a voice called out. “Huh? Who are you?” Sly asked. The person came out of the shadow and Sly was shocked by his appearance. “And who are you supposed to be? My clone? Either way, color me impressed,” Sly said in a joking manner. He just simply chuckled at Sly’s comment. “What’s so funny?” Sly asked suspiciously. “It seems you appeared right on schedule, as usual.” He smiled and hit some sort of button on a device in his hand, trapping them in a box. After a few seconds, a gas was puffed into the box and once that was done. The box blew away, showing Sly and the Gang to age down. “You can come back in about… twenty years after I had my fun.” The Cooper Gang looked at each other, then they rushed at Sly’s lookalike. Before they could get to him, he closed the door with it clamping shut on them. “Great! Now whatta we do?” Sly said. “I’m thinking Sly, I’m thinking. But if we don’t something, we’re gonna get caught,” Bentley said. “Oh relax. The alarm hasn't even gone off yet,” Murray assured. Just then, the alarm blared. “Look like I spoke too soon,” Murray said, sadly. “Everyone, try and find a way out. If any luck, we could find an air vent,” Sly said. The Cooper Gang proceeded to look for an exit. They couldn’t believe what had just happened to them. They ended up running into someone that looks like Sly, and all of a sudden, they were turned into kids. They couldn’t wrap their minds around what happened to them, but once they could get out, they would find whoever did this to them and make him turn them back into the way they were. “Guys! I found an exit!” Murray shouted. They immediately rushed over to where Murray was with the exit. “Wait… how’re you gonna fit through that vent Murray?” Sly asked. “I don’t know Sly. I’ll-” Just then, they heard a voice they definitely didn’t want to hear. “Attention criminals! You are completely surrounded by the Paris police department! Come out immediately, or we will be forced to terminate you with extreme prejudice! Do you hear me, Cooper?! Extreme prejudice!” The voice turned out to be none other than Inspector Carmelita Montoya Fox, and the Cooper Gang was well aware of it. “Like this can get any worse…” “Yeah! Not to mention if Inspector Fox finds us, she’ll just toss us in juvie and probably put us through some Foster program…” “Guys! We still have a chance. She doesn’t know where we are in this building, so just calm down.” “You’re right. But how’re we gonna get out? We’re trapped inside and all we have is this vent.” “It’s simple. Murray, go through that door over there and try to get past the guards. Bentley, do what you can and try to find an escape route. I’ll go through this air vent and wait for you guys to get out.” “Sounds like a plan. We’ll meet up at the van.” “Understood.” “Good plan.” The three of them split up and went through their own escape route. Sly went crawling through an air vent, Murray went to sneak past the guards, and Bentley went to the computer to see if he could find a way to escape. As Sly kept crawling, he got to thinking about the guy who turned him and the Cooper Gang into kids. He had no idea who the guy he met was and he had no idea how he knew who he was. He knew that it wasn’t gonna be a picnic, but if he didn’t get to him now, he was gonna stay a kid until he grew back to the way he was along with Bentley and Murray. Just knowing about it gave him a sense of adventure and joy. As he got out, he saw Carmelita on top of the roof. Panicking, he hid in one of the boxes, hoping that she wouldn’t find him. When he thought that she was gone, he got out. Just then, she spotted him. “Hey! What’re you doing here?” she asked, unaware that it was Sly. She walked over to him. As she did, she said, “Stand still. I’m just gonna ask who you are and where live, okay?’ She stood right in front of him and crouched down to get a good look at Sly. “Who are you?” she asked. Trying to figure out what to say, he replies, “W-winslow.” “Hmm. Interesting name. Do you have any parents or guardians?” “I live with a cousin of mine back in Paris.” “Any siblings?” “Two brothers.” “Hmm… you look like someone I know. Have you ever stolen anything in your life?” “I knocked off a candy store once.” Carmelita chuckled when he said that. She got a closer look at his hat and face. She had a funny feeling who Sly was. Just then, she saw his cane. She was at a loss for words. “Are you…?” “Look, I can-” “That low-down, no-good, cheating, despicable, cowardly, insufferable ne’er-do-well! When I find that ringtail, I’m gonna give him the welcome-back gift he’ll never forget…” Sly was dumbfounded by her remark. He had no idea if he wanted to laugh or cry at her exclamation. As she kept rambling, Sly saw the chance to escape by sneaking away from her and climbing down a pipe. As he kept climbing down, he contacted Bentley. “Bentley, are you out yet?” he asked. “Nearly there pal. Just need to get out of the building. Murray?” “Same here little buddy. Almost out.” “We’ll meet up by the van. Once we do, we’re outta here.” “Agreed.” As soon as the gang has finished making their escape, they immediately headed straight towards the van. “Just what happened to us, Bentley? How did we end up like this?” Sly asked as the Cooper Gang got in the van. “I dunno Sly, but that guy seemed to be familiar with you. Any idea who he is?” Bentley replied. “That’s what I’d to know.” “Well, once we figure out who he is and what the device he used on us, we’ll give him something that will hurt more than being turned back into a kid.” “Right on!” Murray shouted. “So Murray, how’re you doin’ up there?” “Man, it’s harder than it looks. I can’t see squat from this height.” “Well, find something to give you a boost. We need to get out of here.” The Gang looked for something in the van that could help Murray see better. Just then, Sly saw Bentley’s huge book of quantum physics. “Use this,” Sly said as he put the book on Murray’s seat. “But what if he-” Bentley whined before being interrupted. “Do you wanna complain about being behind bars? Or do you wanna be a grownup again?” Sly said, giving Bentley an ultimatum. “Oh, fine…” Bentley said, reluctantly. “Okay. Punch it Murray.” “Uh, guys…?” Sly groaned while Bentley shouted, “Oh, what now?!” “I might need something to reach the pedal.” Sly looked at his cane and said, “This gets washed when you’re finished, and DON’T break it.” The cane was then strapped to Murray’s leg and he could now reach the pedal. “Let’s go!” He hit the gas pedal as soon as Sly shouted. But right now, Murray had a hard time driving since he could barely see the road with his mask on, forcing him to take it off, and the cane kept moving a little bit. The Cooper Van started to zigzag in multiple directions and they were suddenly transported along with the Cooper Van. The unknown Sly lookalike watched from atop of a building, smiling all the while. “Looks like it’s gonna be smooth sailing from here on out. See ya around, Cooper.” He waved at where their car use to be and disappeared into the night. *Meanwhile, in Canterlot High* It was a normal day for the CMC. They would play, laugh and hang out together on a regular basis. They would always try just about anything to reach their meaning in life. However, it was always a fun time for them no matter what they did. It was close to the end of the school day. They were talking when Apple Bloom asked, “So, what should we do today?” Sweetie Belle pondered in thought and after a few seconds, she asked, “How about we try making taffy?” “Na, we've done that already remember?” Scootaloo said with a shrug. “Yea, and besides, we've been banned from the cooking room for blowing up the room with it all over the walls and the tools being stuck on the walls. And not to mention, it was stuck in our hairs. It took forever to get it out,” Apple Bloom said thinking back to the event. “Oh… yea. My sis was not happy about that and it took her ages to fix my hair back up,” Sweetie Belle said shaking her head. “Well, at least we smelled like candy for a few hours. That's something right?” Scootaloo asked laughing. They laughed as Scootaloo said that. “Well, what about becoming reporters?” Scootaloo suggested. “We did that a few months ago remember?” Sweetie Belle asked. “And we were hated for it. Besides, we only did that because we were forced to,” Apple Bloom said. “Oh… right,” Scootaloo said with regret. The CMC had no luck in finding whatever talent they could find. Most of it ended in failure while the other half was mediocre at best. They had doubts about what they truly wanted, but regardless of how hard it was, they would keep pushing forward until they have found their true talent. After several more minutes of thinking, Apple Bloom thought of something. “How about we become Robin Hood?” she suggested. “Huh?” Scootaloo asked. “Well, I read a book once that this Fox by the name Robin Hood took from the rich and give to the poor. He was basically defending this town called Sherwood from this evil sheriff of Rottingham and this greedy prince called John. Plus, he wasn’t really the king, he was just keeping the seat warm for King Richard, who was in the Crusades at the time,” Apple Bloom said with a smile. “But isn't that stealing?” Sweetie Belle asked confused. “Well…it depends on how you steal, not what you steal. It’s kinda like stealing a loaf of bread if you’re hungry. Or rather, if you have good intentions behind it,” Apple Bloom explained. Sweetie Belle questioned her logic but at the same time, she could understand what Apple Bloom was getting at. Before she could ask, Scootaloo cut in and said, “So if I'm understanding you correctly here, We're basically just vigilantes who fight crime and just ‘lend’ it to those who are in need of help, correct?” “Exactly. Kinda like a vigilante. It's like one individual said, ‘You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain.’... or something like that. You understand, right?” Apple Bloom asked. “I kinda get it. But I suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea,” Sweetie Belle agreed. As they continued talking, the bell rang and they got up from their seats to head out. The clock showed three clock as the three went outside and continued talking. “So, what do you plan on doing for the weekend? Your sister is still at that camp, right?” Sweetie Belle asked. “Yea. She said they would be back on Sunday and she left Thursday after school. Isn’t your sister with her?” Apple Bloom asked. Sweetie Belle nodded and Scootaloo agreed as well. All of a sudden, Sweetie Bell sees this light that flashes and suddenly disappears. “Hey, did you see that?” She asked. Apple Bloom raised an eyebrow and didn’t understand why she was suddenly alarmed. “See what?” “There was a light over there. I saw it.” “And where was the light?” “It was right over there,” Sweetie Bell said, pointing to the source of where the light came from. “And it was…?” Scootaloo asked. “Oh, just follow me,” Sweetie Bell said, annoyed. “Fine…” they both said in unison. While the CMC were running over to where the light was coming from, the Cooper Gang have crash in an alleyway. The Cooper Van was damaged but it was still in decent condition, so it wasn’t completely destroyed. However, the engine was sputtering and the portal machine was wrecked, so the Gang had no means of going back. Sly asked, “How long will it take to repair the van, Bentley?” “Judging from the damage that the van sustained, along with the state of the portal machine being wrecked by Murray’s reckless driving, I’d say it would have to be within 2-3 weeks time. And that’s if I manage to obtain all the parts needed to fix it.” Sly groaned when he heard the entire explanation from Bentley. “Isn’t there a way to speed things up?” Sly asked, annoyed. “I’m afraid that’s the only way,” Bentley confirmed. Sly shrugged as he scratched himself in the back with his cane. However, as he did, he looked at his arm. He noticed that there was no fur on it. Only skin. He turned around and he also noticed that his tail was also gone as well. He asks Bentley, “Um… Bentley?” “Yeah, Sly?” He gets a good look at Bentley and he notices that his shell is gone but it was replaced with clothing. His green skin is still there, but his shell was gone. “Are you feeling cold or something?” he asked. “What do you-” Just then, Bentley began to notice as he turned around to see that his shell was gone. “M-Murray?” “Yeah, Bentley?” “Did you notice anything weird when we entered this dimension?” “Not really. Other than the fact that-” Just then, Murray began to notice as well. He touched his face and noticed that his snout was gone. He look into the rearview mirror and freaked out. “What has happened to us?!” Murray shouted. “I don’t know. It looks like when we entered into this dimension, we suddenly turned into THIS. Maybe it’s a different type of world, but we need to figure this out.” “But what’re we supposed to do? The Van’s portal machine is broken, we’re kids, and we’re in these weird bodies!” Bentley exclaimed. “Yeah, and I’m the King of France,” Sly sarcastically replied. “Sly, This is serious!” Bentley said with a worried voice. “So am I, Bentley. Look, we just need a plan. ANY plan, to help us get back to our dimension,” Sly said in a calm voice. Murray seemed to calm down after what Sly said and turned his attention to the Van itself. Meanwhile, the CMC were running towards the source of the light. They had no idea what happened, but they needed to get to the bottom of what was happening before their eyes. “Do you think there are aliens?” Scootaloo asked. “Maybe. But if those are really aliens, do think they will suck our brains out?” Sweetie Belle asked. “No idea girls, but if we don’t see it ourselves, we could have a war on our hands,” Apple Bloom said. “Would be pretty cool to see their ships though. It’d be like those movies we’ve seen on TV.” “Yeah. It would also be nice to meet one as well. Wonder if they like ice cream?” “Ice cream? Why ice cream?” “I dunno. Just wanna be nice, I guess?” “If you say so. Still hard to judge if they wanna take over the world though.” “Yeah. It would be hard to trust them if they’re lying to us though.” “Hmm. I wonder if this is where the light was coming from?” The CMC walked across the street over to the alleyway where the light came from. The three girls had no idea what they were in for. “Do you think they’re planning something?” Sweetie Bell whispered. “I dunno. We’re the only ones getting a look here,” Scootaloo whispered back. “Would you two be quiet? They could hear us,” Apple Bloom furiously whispered as she shushed them. Both Scootaloo and Sweetie Bell shushed back at her as they got closer, leaving her at a loss for words. They kept getting closer as the light started to shine brighter. They looked at each other before they peeked heads out. When they finally got closer, they saw a van,  leaving them shocked and confused. “What’s all this?” Apple Bloom asked. Sly and the gang turned around to see three girls looking back at them. “What the? Who are these creatures?” Sly asked. “No idea, but they look different. Same bodies, but different,” Bentley replied. “They give me the creeps,” Murray exclaimed. “Me too pal. What’re we gonna do, Sly?” “I dunno. I thought you were the brains of the operation?” “Yeah, I still am.” Scootaloo pouted as she heard what they said. “Hey! Who’re you calling creatures?!” Scootaloo shouted. “Yea. That was uncalled for,” Sweetie Belle added. Apple Bloom didn't seem to care about the comment and was more curious about who they were and where the aliens were. “Wait a min. Where are the Aliens? It's just three kids,” Apple Bloom said a little confused. “Aliens?” Bentley asked. “Yeah. Aliens. You know the green types that come from outer space?” Scootaloo replied. “I know what an alien is, genius,” Bentley answered sarcastically. Sweetie Belle looked over to the damaged van and asked, “Maybe they’re in there?” “Hey, hey! The van’s off limits!” Murray said. “Oh, c’mon. Can’t we just have a peek?” Scootaloo pleaded. “Sly…” Bentley said. “Just who are you girls?” Sly asked. “Well, I'm Sweetie Bell, and this is Scootaloo and Apple Bloom, and we are the Cutie Mark Crusaders! “Interesting names. Well my name is Sly Cooper and this is Bentley and Murray.”, he said extending his hand. After he spoke his hand with them, he added, “What do you do?” “Sly, are you sure we should trust these girls? They could be snitches for-” “What's the harm in talking to another group? From what I can tell, they don’t appear to be working for the man.” Bentley looked at Sly suspiciously for a few seconds, then turned his head towards the CMC. “So, what are you three doing here?” Sweetie Belle asked. “Yea. We haven't seen you guys before. Are you guys new around here?” Apple Bloom asked. “Well, we’ve never been around here before, so we’re gonna have to say yes,” Sly said. While they chatted, Scootaloo’s curiosity got the best of her and she snuck off to look inside the damage van, only to see that there were computers and other types of technology inside of it. “Hey, what's this?” Scootaloo asked as she touched the portal machine. “Eh, eh! Remember what I said about the van being off limits?” Murray said. Before Murray could stop her, the CMC got inside and looked at everything in their sight. Suddenly, the van started to shake, and seconds later, the CMC and the Cooper Gang disappeared with it. “Now, until we get figure out where we are, the van is forbidden territory, okay?” Murray demanded. “Wait, when did you become the leader?” Scootaloo asked, a little angry. “Oh. This is my van. I’ve been driving it since I delivered pizzas. But this is the Cooper Van, and you can’t get in without Sly’s say-so,” Murray said. “Aren't you a bit young to be driving?” Scootaloo asked confused. “You may find it hard to believe, but we were turned into kids by some doppleganger of mine,” Sly replied. “Huh?” Sweetie Belle asked. “This will seem strange to you, but we’re…” Bentley tried to think up some words to say, but nothing came to mind, so Sly said, “We’re salesmen. Yeah. We are salesmen.” “Yeah? And what do you sell?” Apple Bloom asked. Trying to think of what else to say, Murray added, “Treasure. We sell treasure. We were taking a vacation, but we somehow ended up here, of all places.” “But if that’s true, then why do you need a portal machine, and what kind of treasure?” “Well… ancient types of treasure,” Sly answered. “Hmm, and while we're on the subject of strange things, whatta ya mean by another dimension?” Apple Bloom asked. “You see, we were just getting out of an auction back in Austria, so me and my friends were opening up a portal, so that we could get home faster. Somehow, the portal malfunctioned, and that’s how we got here,” Sly explained. “Since that explanation clears up, the Van had some sort of glitch in it and you got us here by accident. Got it?” Sweetie Belle asked. “Wait, how do we know what you're saying is true? Are you trying to pull a fast one?” Scootaloo asked. “Well the thing is, we have no place to turn to, and we have no way of convincing the grownups to help us.Besides, what do we have to gain by lying to you?” Bentley explained. “Fair enough…” Scootaloo said reluctantly. “So where do we go from here?” Sly asked. It was all a different world for them. The Cooper Gang had no idea what was going on, nor do know where they ended up. But they knew they had no place else to go to, nor anyone else to turn to. So the CMC gave them a place to sleep in: Murray for Apple Bloom, Sly for Scootaloo, and Bentley for Sweetie Bell. The each of them headed back with them to their own homes, but not without storing the van in the barn. The Cooper Gang and the CMC pushed the van with every ounce of strength that they had and eventually made it towards the barn. After that, they said goodnight to each other before leaving for their homes. So they turned in for now, waiting for tomorrow to get back to their own dimension.
