The Only Chapter
Screwball, Mothball, Discord, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Red Shoes, Rainbow Dash, Soarin, Applejack, Spike, Dinky, Cinnamon Roll, Cinnamon Roll, Derpy, Apple Blossom, Thunder Dash, Lightning Dash, Prism, Cherry Pie, Raspberry Pie, and Blueberry Pie were all taking a walk around Ponyville. It is about eighty-nine degrees due to temperature of the weather outside. It is also windy, but it's not too windy. They were on a street of Ponyville with a couple trees with green leaves.
Screwball had her propeller beanie loosen a bit. Mothball had his mane cleaned when he got up. Discord was wearing a beach shirt for the warm day. Thunder was wearing a cap hat in the color of red and orange. Cinnamon Roll had sunscreen all over her face, a glob of it was resting on her nose. Fluttershy was wearing a sun hat where it's blocking the sun from her face. And Pinkie Pie was wearing lady's' sunglasses in pink and purple, the handles are the color of her fur, and the glass was the color of her mane.
Screwball sucked in air through her nose and let out a relaxed sigh. "Nice fresh air on a sunny day.", she said.
"You're telling me.", Dinky said. "If I had sunglasses right now, my wonk eyes would not be burning from the sun."
"Well, Dinky, you should've asked for some, then I would've gotten you some.", Pinkie said.
"If you would like, Dinky," Discord started. "I could use my powers to get you-"
"No thanks.", Dinky interrupted. "You don't have to do that, Uncle Discord, I'll just remember next time we take a walk."
"You look hot in those glasses, Sugar Bun.", Red Shoes complemented.
Pinkie giggled at Red's complement. "Oh, Red, stop it.", she said. "I'm already getting hot, because it's sunny right now."
Screwball turned to look at Mothball's face, he didn't seem excited. "You're not comfortable with this warm weather, are you, Mothy?", she asked.
"No. No. No. I do. I do. I really do like it.", Mothball said. "I just wish I had something to wear, because some of you guys are wearing stuff."
"What good does it do for you wearing something?", Thunder asked. "You could've just gotten a hat for you, I'm wearing one right now."
"If it was your birthday today, we would gotten you some of the stuff we have.", Fluttershy said.
"You do make a good point, Miss Fluttershy.", Mothball said. "Miss Twilight, what do you wear whenever it's hot outside?"
"I don't wear much whenever it's hot.", Twilight said. "It's not like Spike would wear something that I would wear, probably a cowgirl hat like Applejack's."
"Twilight, I'm not a cowboy.", Spike said.
"Hon, we're married.", Applejack stated. "So, this means you count as one."
"But, we're not related.", Spike said. "I'm a dragon and your a pony."
"Seriously, you're just going to tell each other's species?", Cinnamon Stick asked.
"You know it's rude to do that in public, right?", Cinnamon Roll asked.
"But, you are related to Twilight, Uncle Spike.", Raspberry called out.
"What are you talking about?", Prism asked.
"Twilight showed us the stained glass picture where you saved the Crystal Empire when you were smaller.", Cherry said.
Blueberry nudged her sister in the side. "You shouldn't expose him about his size.", she said. "It's embarrassing, perve-face."
"Okay, that's enough with the name calling.", Mothball said.
"Let it go, boy.", Discord said. "Names are nothing."
"He's right, Dude.", Lightning said. "Names don't matter for anypony."
"Didn't Screwball told you, she was name called, two mean colts said she was a freak or maniac.", Rainbow Dash said.
"Maybe,- I don't know. What the heck.", Mothball mumbled.
"Hold it.", Soarin said. "How could you not know?"
"Well, maybe there are some stuff that Mothball never knew about me.", Screwball said. She began to walk near a tree. As she was about to explain something, a rope tied to a tree branch caught her leg and launched her across Ponyville in the air.
"Screwball!", Fluttershy screamed.
"Oh my gosh!", Mothball exclaimed.
Screwball screamed as she fell into the muddy area near the barn of Sweet Apple Acres.
"She landed in the muddy area near the barn.", Applejack said.
"I hope the girl's not hurt.", Spike hoped.
"I don't believe this!", Discord exclaimed. "My little girl was thrown across Ponyville!"
"Discord, calm down.", Twilight said. "We'll get her back."
Mothball took a look at the trap. "Okay, who made this?", he asked. "Discord, you do pranks. Did you do this?"
"What?! Me?!", Discord asked, shocked. "I would never prank my little girl. I would never try to get her hurt."
"Dinky, was it you?", Mothball asked.
"No, she's my best friend, I would never do that.", Dinky said.
Mothball looked at Fluttershy, but he didn't ask. "Don't look at me, I didn't set that up.", Fluttershy said.
"What about you, Cinnamon Stick?", Mothball asked.
"No way.", Cinnamon Stick said. "I'd never done pranks in my life."
"Neither did I.", Cinnamon Roll said. "Uncle Discord and Screwball are the ultimate prankers in this family, we never pranked anypony ever."
"My cousins are right.", Apple Blossom said. "If you ask every single one of us, it's not going to be one of us."
"Actually, it is one of us who did this.", Lightning said, snickering.
"Huh? What do you mean by that, Lightning?", Mothball asked.
"Because,... I was the one who made that trap for Screwball.", Lightning admitted.
The whole group gasped. "You made that for Screwball to step into?! Are you kidding me, Lightning?!", Soarin shouted.
"What?", Lightning asked. "Somepony was supposed to give a laugh to that. Why aren't any of you laughing?"
"It's not funny to me.", Spike scoffed.
"It ain't funny to me either.", Applejack said.
"And I find it most unfunny.", Discord snarled. "Why would you do that to my little girl?!"
"Oh, I just thought it would be funny to see Screwball's reaction when that rope caught her leg and the tree launched her across the sky.", Lightning said. "Anypony would like a prank like that."
"That's nonsense, Lightning.", Thunder said. "I've known you since we were little and I've never seen you do something like that before."
"And she must've landed head first in the mud.", Red said.
"Come on, she has magic to get out with, she'll be fine.", Lightning said.
"That's nonsense, she's not fine, she can't even breathe with her head in mud.", Thunder said.
Rarity, Cheerilee, Big Macintosh, and Gem Stone came up to them, running. "Please tell us we did not see Screwball fly into the sky.", Rarity said.
"Yeah, she definetely-", Cinnamon Roll started, but was cut off by Thunder.
"Well, she went into the sky, she didn't fly, but she did get into it.", Lightning said.
"That is NONSENCE.", Thunder snarled.
"Are you kidding, Lightning?!", Cheerilee asked. "Why would you do that?!"
"That is total nonsense.", Thunder repeated.
"Come on, it was funny.", Lightning said.
"That's not funny.", Gem Stone said. "Somepony could've been hurt or killed."
"Okay, GUYS!", Mothball shouted, stomping his hoof. "All this shouting and arguing is giving me a headache. Lets just go get her."
The whole group got prepared to get Screwball out of the mud. Cherry hopped on Mothball's back, Raspberry hopped on Cinnamon Stick's back, and Blueberry hopped on Thunder's back. Before they left the street, Mothball looked back and saw Screwball's propeller beanie on the ground. "Oh no, that's Screwball's.", he said.
"I got it.", Dinky said, grabbing the beanie with her magic.
Then off they went after Screwy.
Screwball was head first in the mud, her back hooves were in the air, but they weren't moving. She must've passed out from the crash. The group found her. "Screwball, are you alright?", Fluttershy asked.
There was no answer from Screwball, just muffles. "How come we hear her voice if she's not moving?", Twilight asked.
"Well, somepony strong has got to get her out of there.", Discord said.
"I got this one.", Spike said. He walked over to Screwball, put his claws to her sides, and strongly pulled her out. He walked out of the muddy area and laid her flat on her back on the solid ground.
Mothball got close and tried to get an answer from her. "Screwball, are you ok?", he asked. "You alright, Screwy? Talk to me."
Screwball was half knocked out. It took her a second to say something. "...I just want to listen to the angels.", she whispered. "I just... I just want to listen to the angels."
"What is wrong with her?", Prism asked.
"I don't know.", Dinky said. "I think she's knocked out."
"Rarity, help me get Screwball back on her hooves.", Twilight said. She and Rarity put Screwball's front hooves on their shoulders and helped her up. Then, they took them off.
Screwball was about to tumble down, but Mothball caught her before she could. "What happened?", she asked. "Where am I? Who are you?"
"Screwball, it's us.", Discord said. "And I'm so glad my little girl's not hurt."
"You landed near my barn.", Applejack said.
"Did I?", Screwball asked. "Why can't I see anything?"
"You landed in mud.", Rainbow Dash said.
"Mud?", Screwball asked. She touched the top of her head and found out that her beanie was no longer there. "Then, where's my beanie?!"
"It's okay, we have it.", Pinkie said.
"Well, can I have it back?", Screwball asked.
"Not until you're clean.", Cinnamon Roll said.
"Well, I have to get a bucket, water, and soap for Screwy's bath.", Applejack said. "It'll take me a while for me to come back with those things."
"Hold it, guys.", Mothball said. "I know some place where it's faster to get clean. Lets take Screwy there as soon as possible." He took hold of Screwy and held her in his arms.
"Ah yes, that would be great.", Screwball said. "I'm a little excited about this."
It's been ten minutes since they started heading for the area that Mothball thought of. "Are we almost there?", she asked.
"Yes, Screwy, only three minutes left until we get there.", Mothball said.
They finally made at the area, it was a huge pond with clear water. "This is it, guys.", he said.
"It looks so... normal.", Discord said. "Look at this, guys, it's just clear pond."
"So, how do we get Screwy to get into the pond.", Thunder asked.
"Didn't we just discussed this, ponies?", Applejack said. "The boy said we need to tie her back hooves together and hang on her this tree, she gets dropped, then she's clean."
"Well, lets not discuss it again.", Mothball said. "Lets just get this over with, shall we?" Spike tied Screwball's back hooves together and Rarity used her magic to pick up Screwball and levitated her over a tree branch. Twilight held the other end with her magic.
"Are you sure this a great idea?", Screwball asked. "I don't have the nerve for this."
"Don't worry, Honey.", Discord said. "The sooner you get in the water, this will all be over."
"He's right, girl.", Mothball said. "Ready?"
"I'll say.", Screwball said.
"Now, Twilight.", Mothball signaled.
Twilight let the rope go and Screwball fell, screaming into the pond. She sprung out and coughed to get the water out of her throat.
"Screwball, you can see again.", Mothball said.
The group cheered. Screwball swam to an edge and caught her breath. Lightning, however, came up to her. "Screwy, I'm sorry I got you caught in my trap.", she said.
"So, it was you who set up that trap.", Screwball said.
"Yep, it sure was.", Lightning said.
Screwball climbed all the out and saw that her two back hooves were tied up. "Well, launching me across Ponyville was pretty subtle.", she said.
"You know, I thought it would be a funny prank, but now I didn't.", Lightning said. "I've seen you and you're dad do a lot of pranks, and I thought I should do one myself. So, that's the reason why I set up that trap."
"Well, Lightning, your prank needs to be more harmless.", Screwball said. "Ask me or my dad and we'll give you tips on pranking." The two laughed. "Seriously though, a lot harmless."
The group were walking back to Ponyville. "Well, I pranked Screwball and I learned my lesson fair and square.", she said.
"You know, I should do the same thing, but somepony else, like Aunt Pinkie Pie.", Screwball said.
"Nope, that's not happening to me today, not today.", Pinkie laughed.
"Guys, I think I had enough with pranking for now.", Mothball said.
