Eve stared out of the window waiting for the Doctor to show up.

“Hey there Eve, what’s up exactly?” Chris said walking up to her now then.

“Oh, not that much really, I’m just waiting for him to show up.”

“The Doctor?” Chris said not even bothering to ask who else it could possibly be because he knew that she
had a strange mysterious and highly unusual connection and feelings for him, especially since he was a near immortal pony.

“Yes,” she said turning to him now then, “And it’s about time you heard the story of how I first met him, I think it’s only fair of you to know now since you are now officially part of the story, and you might want to sit down now, this could take quite a while,” she said gesturing to a chair and then Chris sat down then ready and anxious to hear the story that he had waited so long for, after all, it wasn’t every day one heard stories about a near immortal pony who could travel through and even perhaps possibly manipulate time itself, or even ever get the chance and opportunity to meet that very special pony too as well. “Now then, my story begins many long years ago, back when I was just a small tiny little filly, he first came to me on the most special day of all of course.

Hearth’s Warming Eve, and at the time I really didn’t truly understand anything about him at all, but now I know more, but still not enough.

Anyhow he came to me by mere chance and luck, or so I think so.

But he would probably say there’s no such thing as that, only the illusion of coincidence, but it doesn’t matter what he thinks or what he would say, let us get back to my story now then. He came in his blue box as usual of course, but he would never say why he was there on this particular day, and it wasn’t until very recently that I learned that my first time seeing him was his last to see me.

Time’s funny that way, or so he says and thinks so, and I happen to agree too.

Anyhow it doesn’t matter much about our timeline really, what’s important here is what he showed me, because he told me so much, gave me something that I can never repay him for, he showed me more than the whole entire world, he also let me see into the past, he let me see my parents before they died, he gave me a chance and opportunity that will never come along again, now enough about me, I think that it’s about time for the story again…”

Part One

Eve first met and saw the Doctor a very long time ago on a very cold yet warm Heart’s Warming Eve, and while she looked out through the window in wonder and amazement as she saw snow fall on the ground for the very first time.

As she was staring out through the window at the sparkling white snow that shimmered and shined off the reflections of the street lights, something felt off about that night, but he couldn’t tell what. But then she saw the shooting stars and she thought to herself that this is what would make the night most odd and unusual, but little did she know just how wrong she could be about that.

As Eve watched the stars she couldn’t help but make a wish, and what was that wish? Well she wished that something exciting would happen of course.

And it did, and in the most unexpected way that it could, in a blue telephone box.

But this wasn’t just any regular ordinary blue telephone box, for not only was it bigger on the inside than the outside, but inside and behind its doors lay some of the greatest secrets known to man or ponies or other alien races and species across the multiple realms and universes. And inside of it there was also a man, or rather a pony as he was now in a new shape and form, anyhow this man, or pony, also knew the world’s and universe’s best secrets, and he knew so much that he was a very dangerous man, or pony, to all who met him.

But despite all that he knew and all that he had seen and heard, he still could not know or predict some things happening, like his TARDIS breaking down.

This wasn’t the first time that it had happened either, but it was the first time that it had happened ever since he turned into a pony for his new shape/ form.

As he fell through the sky he tried to control how and where it would land as to not cause too much damage to any homes or land property that others owned.

Luckily enough for him though he landed in the front lawn of a house, but not so luckily enough for him
there was a little filly inside watching the whole entire event and him. And she gazed out in wonder and
awe, this stallion had fallen out of the sky in some kind of strange, unusual, odd blue box.

It was as if a dream was actually taking place in real life before her right now.

But of course it wasn’t it was just the Doctor coming into her little town.

But she didn’t know that, she thought he might be Santa Clause.

Or at least some kind of anger or maybe even a mad scientist perhaps maybe.

And so she couldn’t help resist running outside in the deep snow while snow fell from the sky sparkling and shining off the dim street light. She ran outside wanting to hug this strange and unusual odd pony, for they were dressed up in exactly the way that Santa Claus would be when he delivered all the presents tonight. “Santa Clause!” she shouted running towards him and then hugging him and giggling with delight and joy as the strange, unusual and odd pony looked around with some confusion and then down at her. “I’m sorry,” he said very plainly and politely, “But I am afraid that I am not Santa Clause miss.”

“Well how else do you explain what you’re wearing on a night like this?”

“Oh, this?” he said pointing at his costume, “Well let’s just say that I am a bit festive around this time of
year, I really like and love this winter season of love and coldness, but tell me this little young one. What are you doing out here in the cold snow? Shouldn’t you be asleep in your bed right about now?”

“I always stay up waiting for Santa Clause tonight,” the young filly said.

“Well of course you do,” the Doctor said, “Tell me, are your parents around?”

“I don’t have any parents, sir, they died a very long time ago, and I don’t really remember them all that well,
all I have now is my brother and my sisters.”

“Well I’m very sorry to hear that, but tell me this, would you like to go on an adventure with me? You’ll have lots of fun if you come and join me tonight.”

“Sure, I would love to,” the little young filly said, “But what is your name strange pony? For I cannot, should not, and am not allowed to go with other ponies that are strangers, that’s against the rules that our family has.”

“You may simply call me by the name of the Doctor, just the Doctor, and now that you know my name I should no longer be a stranger, right?”

“Well I guess so, I suppose that you’re right, and my name is Eve, Eve Dawn.”

“What a very lovely, special, and unique name that you have, little Eve.”

“Well thank you for saying so, but if I may ask you this one question then it must be this, where are we
going exactly? You haven’t really told me anything about this so-called adventure or journey that you want to take me on.”

“Well noted, but that is not the question to ask, the real one is very different instead, and it is this, where do you want to go exactly? It’s your choice.”

“What do you mean?” she asked very confused at what this strange pony was saying, but then again, all encounters with the Doctor were strange at first.

“What I mean is that this blue box I have, it can take you anywhere and also any time or when, just name the place and the time and it can get you there.”

“Really?” she asked looking at the blue box thing with some awe and wonder.

“Yes, really, but of course that is only upon the condition that you are ready, able, and willing to go on an adventure or journey with me, for I must warn you, while they can be very fun and educational, they can
also be dangerous too, and I wouldn’t want you to get hurt or take any risk to your safety or life.”

“Are you kidding? This is probably the best thing that’s ever happened to me, or that ever will, and it’s the best gift that I have received thus far.”

“Well that’s good then, I suppose that I can take you on a short little trip to where you want, but it’ll be only to go there and then back here again.”

“Okay, I understand that, and I agree to your terms and your conditions, but I just have one comment though, isn’t the box a little too small for the both of us to fit inside there? I mean it seems like just a tight fit enough already as it is.”

The Doctor smiled at this comment, “Sometimes,” he said opening the door to the blue box, “Things are not always as they seem to be in your short little life.”

Eve gasped, the blue box, it was bigger on the inside than the outside.

“It’s bigger on the inside than the outside,” she said with some wonder and awe, and the doctor merely just laughed and smiled at this comment.

“Well of course it is, what did you expect?” he said (very rhetorically now) knowing that this was a common reaction in both ponies and people when they saw it for the very first time, and that very line had been used before many times now.

“Well go on, get in there, it doesn’t bite, though it does act up sometimes.”

And with that said Eve did so giggling with delight as she explored the whole entire place, “How big is this
thing anyways?” she asked running through it.

“Well I don’t really know, it could be as big as a mansion or house, or perhaps there is no end to it at all,
perhaps there are room still yet to be explored.”

“That’s a vague and general answer from one so mysterious and strange, and also unusual and odd, but
that’s exactly what I like about you, you’re different.

But tell me this, where do you come from exactly Mr. Doctor sir?”

“Me? Well I come from the planet Gallifrey, but it’s gone now, destroyed.”

“Oh, really, what happened to it?” Eve asked with curious young interest.

“Let’s just say that you really wouldn’t want to know, besides, I don’t want to bring you down to sadness
and pain in this holiday themed season of joy.”

And with that said he smiled and put on a fake face now.

“Well then, where would you like to go first? Pre-Equestrian History perhaps? Oh, or how about the future instead? But please don’t say London.”

“Why not?” she asked very curiously as she started to run around now.

“Please just don’t ask, I have received far too many requests for London.”

“Oh, alright then, if you say so Doctor, but I have a very good idea of where I want to go first,” she said running up to him and whispering in his ear now.

“Oh, very well then, I think that I can fit that in,” he said.

And with that said they went to Hearth Warming’s Past right now, or rather then since it was or is the past, but then again, you know what, never mind.

Anyhow Eve enjoyed her trip and once she came back the Doctor told her to be a good little filly and get to bed so that the presents could come very soon.

And very soon enough the next day did came and to her great shock and surprise she found a very small tiny little special gift for her under the tree.

Keep this, it’s from me, it’ll help you remember, and I promise that someday we will see each other again, with much great love, your friend, the Doctor.

“Who’s this from?” Quentin said taking the gift away and looking at it now.

“Oh nothing at all,” she said taking the photograph of them back again now.

“Who was that in the picture exactly?” Quentin said very defensively now.

“Just a friend, no one special,” she said lying, “But he did show me the past, he took me away to very new strange lands in his big blue box that’s much bigger on the inside, but he doesn’t want me to tell any pony about this, not even you or my family, and I don’t want to make him angry or perhaps even worse.”

“Well, you can tell me all about it, you can trust me,” he said very kindly now.

And with that said she nervously told her the whole entire story.

“That sounds very interesting and ridiculous, but I’m fine with him if he made you smile and if you call him
your friend,” Quentin said leaving her now.

“But it’s all true,” she said trying to vainly reason with him right now then.

“Sure thing, and I’m Princess Celestia, but don’t worry, I believe you if you think and believe that it’s true, but sometimes things aren’t always what they seem, and the sooner that you learn that then the better,” he said now.

“And sometimes they are exactly what they seem,” she said very quietly and softly now. And with that said she went off to do her chores right now then.

But when she finished she stared out the window for hours waiting for him, but he never came, and she had to go to bed that night very sad and also disappointed too. But little did she know that it would be many long years before she could finally get the chance and opportunity to meet him once more again, but every day she would always look out the window and sigh with a heavy heart, for she always waited for that strange odd mysterious unusual stallion to come back and finally add some chaos and spice to her life now.

Many years later…

Eve met the Doctor many years after that and when she finally did she was very glad and filled with joy and delight, but when she finally did get the chance and opportunity to meet him it was almost like he didn’t know her anymore then now. She met him by pure chance and luck although the Doctor probably would say that there was no such thing as that, only the illusion of it instead. She saw him in a street filled with various random other ponies and when she finally did her heart instantly filled with joy and delight now then.

There he was, the Doctor, he was here, and he had kept his promise.

“Doctor!” she shouted running over to him now then, “It’s nice to see you again, it’s been so long and I’m sure that you have a lot to tell me about now.”

“Do I know you?” he said looking straight at Eve now then,

“Oh, you probably wouldn’t remember me, but you came to my house many years ago dressed as Santa
Clause, and you took me on an adventure,” she said now then. “I’m afraid I don’t recall that because I haven’t done that, yet. This is actually my first time meeting you but you’ve already met me so let’s just get the introductions over with, my name is the Doctor and you are?”

“Oh, I’m Eve, Eve Dawn,” she said holding out her hoof for him to shake now then. “Yes, so it seems, but if you’ve already met me then I probably already told you that I can travel through time and space and all that, right?”

“Yes, you even showed me your big blue box that was bigger on the inside.”

“Yes, well nice to meet you for the first time, but what time is this for you meeting me? I really hope that it’s not your last,” he said now then.

“Uh, this is my second time,” Eve said now then.

“Very good then, this means that you can come with me again.”

“Really?” Eve said excited about the prospect of another adventure now.

“Well yes, of course, why not, I always like a good friend on a very long journey even if I don’t really know
them since this is the first time that I’m meeting you now, but while you’re here with me we really should talk some more now then.”

“Uh, well okay then, I have a very large family with one older unicorn brother who’s the eldest and five
older sisters, one a Pegasus like me, two earth pony and the last two are also unicorns. My favorite color is
blue now and my favorite ice cream flavor is either vanilla or chocolate instead. I love poetry and art and drawing and painting, and also reading and writing stories too as well.”

“Well you seem to have a full rich history, but tell me this, have I already told you the story about how my home planet was destroyed yet?”

“Uh no, you haven’t actually yet, you just said that I really wouldn’t like to know about it when you met me last, but then again, I was just a kid then.”

“And technically you still are, or at least compared to me that is,” he said now then, “Did you know that I am now 943 years old and counting still?”

“No, I didn’t actually,” Eve said very confused at his antics now then.

“Well I think that it’s about time that you should know more about me, and I do mean that literally since I am a pony who can control and manipulate time if I so wished, but I will use my powers only for the purpose of good of course.”

“Well yes, of course,” Eve said not sure how to respond to him now then exactly. And with that said they suddenly arrived at his blue bow now then.

“Now then please do be careful in there, the place needs to be tidied up a bit and you could trip over something, so please do mind your step now then.”

And with that said Eve slowly entered the Tardis once more again.

“Wow,” she said staring at it now, it has been forever since I’ve seen this place.”

“Yeah, well I hope you know the place otherwise you’re going to get lost in here very quickly,” he said going to the control panels and flipping switches.

“I know my place around here,” she said now then, “You’ve already taken me on a tour, but if you want to
do it again then I certainly won’t mind.”

“Yes, well I don’t think that I should, besides, I have somewhere to go, and to where I do not know it so exactly, I just know that it will be an adventure.”

And with that said he pulled the lever down as the Tardis whooshed away now then. “Oh what a glorious marvelous splendid day!” he shouted with joy and delight as the lights dimmed and also grew brighter in a constant cycle.

And with that said it suddenly stopped, “Well here we are, do you want to go out first, or should I do it now instead?” he said gesturing to the door in a very polite manner now then. “Well, you’re the Doctor, you should be the one that always goes out first,” she said now then. “But you’re a guest, and I had to be kind and nice and very generous too, but as you wish my lady, let’s go!!!”

“And that was how I met the Doctor, and if you want to know more about our adventures or who I may have met or what I saw, well I think that will have to wait until another day, because I don’t really wish to say anymore right now.”

“Well, alright, fine then, but should you ever wish to talk I am always right here for you,” Chris said smiling. “Thanks a lot, and I already know that,” Eve said also smiling too now then, “But please go away now, I wish and need to think.”

“Alright, fine then, as you wish,” Chris said taking a very dramatic bow and leaving her all alone to think now. And as she did she sighed some more.

Sometimes she just wished and wanted to forget him so that way she didn’t have to feel the pain of missing him but she knew that what she felt now was probably for the better of her knowledge and understanding, besides, if she did try to fix time it would probably cause a paradox, and that would be a very bad thing, and as she thought of that she smiled. Oh time, what a very confusing wibbly wobbly thing, it was something that no pony ever quite fully knew, yet the Doctor, he knew more than most, and that’s what made him very special to her, and that was one of the reasons that she would always like him too.

Because she knew that no matter what happened or where and when he was, he would always come back to keep his promise to her no matter what happened to him, and he would quite literally travel across the whole entire world and expanse of time just to do so. And that was why he was the best pony she had ever met, he was the bravest, most loyal, most generous, kindest, nicest, and also most honest pony that she had ever known in her whole entire life. Yet he still had his flaws and adorable silly little quirks too as well.

And that was why she missed him, because they could relate so much now.

She felt alone even in her own family, and also cut off from the whole entire world, and he was quite literally cut off from the whole entire world for many reasons, one was that he was nearly immortal, another was the whole time traveling and manipulation thing, and yet another was still the fact that he had saved many worlds countless times, and yet no one still knew who he was.

They didn’t know who saved them, they didn’t even know his fake name and title, and not one companion of his ever knew his real true name either.

He quite literally was a pony with no name and also no face too as well.

But that was his life, and he had to do it for the safety and protection of all.

He took no glory, took no pride in completing any of his work except for perhaps the Tardis maybe, and he always remained in the darkness and shadows of both time and memory gently guiding it along the correct right course now then, and also making sure that nothing ever went wrong as well.

It was a very lonely life and a very tiring job, yet one that he still had to do.

And Eve respected that, but she liked the pony who did it even more so.

But as she stared out the window she knew that today would not be the day, it never was, but she had to
keep hope alive by staring out of it at least once a day, and so she took a very deep heavy sigh and then left her spot.

And then she went around doing her regular ordinary chores and tasks.

But little did she know that the Doctor had watched her from afar and he had made sure to always stay hidden since he did not want to tell her just yet.

But very soon enough he would, because it was very important.

And with that he left and life went on very normally now for Eve since there was no Doctor to distract her, and that’s just the way how things went then.
