My Real Reason

Snow fell on the ground gently covering trees and grass into a thick white coat of snow. It covered some rock, covers mostly everything else around the area currently Adagio faced Sunset who was passed out from hitting a tree branch so the siren dragged her back to an abandoned log cabin that was a few feet away from them.

"God Sunset what did you eat?" Adagio asked heaving the demon girl into the cabin before closing the door.

She laid her on the couch, lit a fire from burned out firewood and placed a warm blanket around her so she wouldn't suffer from hypothermia.

That should do it but maybe I should phone someone to get her some medical help...no I can do this myself Adagio thought.

Sunset started to wake up still delirious from her head almost being taken off from that tree branch.

"What happened? Where am I?" Sunset questioned trying to focus on a face.

When her eyes started to focus she could see a smiling Adagio standing over the demoness. Sunset was flustered and a bit confused as to hoe Adagio even found her lying there almost close to death and take good care of her without any pitfalls.

"Adagio what in the world is going on here? The last ting I remember was going on a ski trip then I took a jump too fast then everything went black," Sunset explained.

"I found you laid on your back and took you in before hypothermia set in," Adagio replied smiling.

Sunset sat up a little blushing slightly. "Well thank you for helping me Adagio," Sunset said.

Adagio gave an approval nod.

The demon girl started outside at the falling snow that was still coming down softly covering grass and most trees. It gave a sort of calming feeling to Sunset. Out of nowhere Adagio was on top of her smiling brightly making Sunset turn bright red in the face at this sudden movement made.

Sunset was so flustered that she could only manage a squeak from her lips.

"That was pretty cute," Adagio said touching Sunset's cheek.

Shimmer wanted to swat the siren's hand away but feeling it made her stomach flutter with butterflies in it (Not literally).

"Your hand is warm," Sunset said looking into Adagio's hazel eyes that flashed green.

Adagio leaned in for a kiss making their heartbeats move faster but before they locked lips a sudden whistle of hot steam could be heard from the kitchen.

Damn it Sunset said in her mind.

The siren got off of her but she pulled Adagio back in for a surprise kiss. At first Adagio was shocked but wrapped her arms around her new love. Her lips tasted like candy, very sweet candy that Adagio enjoyed very much.

Sunset had a mixture of moans and kissing sounds the deeper she kissed the siren. She gripped her leather jacket tightly even as they broke the kiss very slowly, letting a drool trail leave their lips.

"That was amazing I must admit," Sunset said ragged breathing heavily.

"I agree," Adagio replied going to the kitchen to turn off the stove.

She came out with two cups of coffee mugs filled with hot chocolate with marshmallows in them.

"Oh thanks," Sunset thanked taking a cup and blew on it to cool it down a bit.

Adagio sat next to her sipping the hot chocolate smiling, wrapping her free arm around Sunset.

It was a warm feeling the demoness hasn't felt in a while since having an entire school of students hate her for what happened at the Fall Formal. Thinking about it made Sunset sad and rethink life in a major way.

"It's just that every time I do something to change what people want from me it ends up blowing up in my face. Too many times I kicked around like a puppy...I just want to be accepted and not treated as some kind of a monster," Sunset said tearing up.

Adagio gave her a reassuring kiss while wiping her tears away.

"Sunset you have to understand that you have nothing to worry about because you are loved by your new friends and now me," Adagio reassured her smiling, rubbing her cheek softly.

The warm feeling melted all the doubt Sunset originally had from before her little accident. But that's not the only thing Sunset got from this, she had to stop trying to change for other people and change for herself.

Adagio's message couldn't have been more clearer.

Sunset nodded. "Your right...I spend all my time pleasing everyone when it's making me more miserable instead of happy."

Hearing that, Adagio smiled and this time it was Sunset who kissed her deeply.

They wrapped arms around themselves as they kissed deeper adding on tongue.

This strange feeling I have, Adagio is one that I love more than life itself Sunset thought.

They broke the kiss with one final moan before they locked on eye contact.

"I love you," Sunset and Adagio said in unison.

Adagio cuddled her lover close on the couch watching the firewood make crackling noises which relaxed the both of them.

Snowfall started to recede but Sunset didn't care otherwise because she had all the warmth right here.

It filled her with so much joy and newfound happiness. Everything that Sunset had been through, all the lies she had to push forward to do was now all washed away thanks to Adagio.

"I'm so glad that you brought me out of the cold Dagi I almost thought I was going to die out there," Sunset said thanking the siren for helping her.

"Not a problem Sunset," Adagio replied kissing her forehead and rubbing her back.

Sunset made a small cat like purr as she fell asleep in Adagio's arms snoring quietly.
