Lightning McQueen was fast, but it takes more than speed to win a race. It was nearly the end of race, he was very close to take the lead, he looked like he was the first rookie to ever win the piston cup. Ten years ago, he got lost from his driver and discovered a little town in the dessert called Radiator Springs. He met Doc Hudson, the judge and doctor, he was also known as the Hudson Hornet, Mater the tow truck, and Sally Carrera, the manager at the Cozy Cone Motel. During one of his races, his tires failed to keep him steady and ran into a wall. He came flying across the track and crashed down it, parts fell off. Then, he was gone, he was a famous race car, but now he's a heap of scrap.
McQueen thought he went to heaven, he slowly opened his eyes and saw a small yellow pony with a bow on her head.
The creature spoke to him. "Howdy do, Doll Face.", she said happily.
McQueen jumped in surprised and tried to move back.
The pony giggled. "You made a funny face when you woke up.", she said.
"Take whatever you want, just don't hurt me.", McQueen panicked.
"Hey, I'm not going to hurt, I'm just a sweet pony at heart.", the pony said as her cheeks turned pink with a smile. "I like to introduce myself, my name's Apple Bloom."
"Apple Bloom?", McQueen asked. "Why do others call you Apple Bloom?"
"I was born with this name.", the pony said. "I grew in this farm, and this is my sister's barn."
"You have a sister?", McQueen asked. "You mean there's more creatures that are like you?"
"Yes, my sister, she's a cowgirl.", Apple Bloom said. "As a result, I like to tease her for fun."
McQueen chuckled. "That's cute.", he said.
"And in case you want to know where you are, you're in Ponyville, the home for ponies, pegasi, and unicorns.", Apple Bloom said.
"Oh, so it's not just ponies that live in this cute little town.", McQueen said.
"Actually, Ponyville's pretty big, I wouldn't consider it cute and little.", Apple Bloom said. "You know, I never got your name."
"Lightning McQueen, the famous racecar.", McQueen said. "I was in a race and I think I crashed and... died." He began to panic. "Am I dead? Am I dead?! Someone tell me I'm not dead!"
"Calm down.", Apple Bloom said.
"I can't be dead! I CAN'T BE!", McQueen screamed. He skidded backwards and smashed a wall in the barn.
"Hey, that's my barn!", Apple Bloom said.
Suddenly, an orange pony appeared near Apple Bloom. "Apple Bloom, what the hey is going on... here?", the pony asked. She paused and saw the racecar. "Uh... Who are you, Sugarcube?"
"Applejack, this is Lightning McQueen, he's a racecar.", Apple Bloom said. "And he thinks he's dead."
"Wow, way to cheer me up like that.", McQueen said.
"And, McQueen, this is my sister, Applejack.", Apple Bloom said.
Shyly, Applejack greeted McQueen. "Um... Hi there, Mr. McQueen.", she said.
"Hello, Applejack, I see you got a special sister, that's because you're special.", McQueen said.
Applejack blushed. "Do you have any friends?", she asked.
"Yes I do.", McQueen said. "At home."
"Do you really want to go home?", Apple Bloom asked.
"Of course.", McQueen said. "If there was a way to bring me back to my home."
Applejack had an idea. "Hey, my friends know somepony who is really really smart, maybe she can help you.", she said.
McQueen beamed. "Thank you.", he said.
"Let me take you to my other friends.", Applejack said.
McQueen's eyes widened. "To be honest, I'd love to meet your friends.", he said. "What do you say, you and I can go cruising and see what this town's all about."
McQueen and Applejack cruised around Ponyville looking for the rest of the ponies. "Wow, your sister wasn't kidding about this place being so cute and little.", McQueen said.
"Ponyville could be cute at some point.", Applejack said. She saw Sugarcube Corner and thought her friends would be in there. "Hey, look, this is the place where one of friend's work at, they're normally for a treat."
Applejack entered, but McQueen didn't think he was able to fit through. "I'll stay out here, because this door is way too small for me.", he said.
Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity were having a drink. They were delighted to Applejack. "Hey, Applejack.", Twilight said. "What are you doing here?"
"Y'all might want to take a look outside.", Applejack said pointing at the door.
The five of Applejack's friends came outside and saw the racecar right in front of them. The five and McQueen screamed at each other. "What the hay is that?", Rainbow Dash asked.
"This is Lightning McQueen, the famous racecar.", Applejack said.
"A racecar?", Fluttershy asked. "What's a racecar?"
"A racecar is a type of car that races around a race track.", McQueen said.
"You do remind me of the kart I invented as a filly, Darling.", Rarity said.
"Well, a kart is a different type of thing, I'm a car.", McQueen said. "You know, I never got your names."
"The purple alicorn is Twilight Sparkle, the blue Pegasus with a rainbow mane is Rainbow Dash, the pink one is Pinkie Pie, the white unicorn is Rarity, and the yellow Pegasus is Fluttershy.", Applejack said.
"So, why is he here?", Pinkie asked.
"He wants us to help him get back to his world.", Applejack said. "He said something about him crashing and he thinks he's dead.
"And she told me you all know someone who is really smart and maybe has a way.", McQueen said.
"Princess Celestia?", Twilight asked. "Because, I know that she's the smartest."
"Yes.", Applejack said. "Lets go to Canterlot and find this smart pony."
McQueen and the six ponies arrived at Canterlot and went to the castle. "Is this her castle?", the racecar asked.
"Yes.", Twilight said. "She became my mentor when I was filly unicorn, I grew here."
McQueen looked around. "This place?", he asked. "And you said you were a unicorn here, I thought you were born with the wings."
"No, Princess Celestia gave them after passing tests and studying real hard.", Twilight said. "A special friend said I was special."
"Oh, you were, were you?", McQueen asked. "Were you a hero?"
"What?", Twilight asked.
"Just clues to the puzzle.", McQueen said.
"I studied hard for a long time while I grew up here, then after a while, the princess told me to go to Ponyville and make new friends.", Twilight said. "Pinkie Pie threw me a welcome party, Princess Celestia gave me room to make my own friends, and they thought I was great, and I never left them."
"You must have a tough past.", McQueen said. "One time when I got lost from my driver, I ran into a town called Radiator Springs, I trashed some of the places and broke a road with the founder statue. I was put in community service for a couple days until the road was finished. Then, I started making friends at that town, my best friend, Mater is a tow truck, and I wish he was here with me."
"Don't worry, McQueen, we'll make sure you go back to your home.", Applejack said.
"Thanks, Applejack.", McQueen said.
They arrived at the Celestia's throne room and found the sun princess sitting on her throne. "Hello, Princess Celestia.", Twilight said.
"Hello, Twilight.", Celestia said.
Twilight revealed the racecar to Celestia. "Princess, this is Lightning McQueen, a famous racecar who thinks he died and wants to go back to his home.", she said. "Do you know a spell that could help him go home?"
Celestia thought for a moment. "I think I do.", she said. "Alright, McQueen, time to take you home.", she said.
"Wait, before I go home, I would like to have a moment with someone.", McQueen said. He strolled over to Applejack. "Applejack, I would like to thank you for helping me get here. I hope you find what you're looking for."
Applejack had tears in her eyes as she smiled. "You to.", she said.
The racecar came back to the princess. "Alright, I'm ready to go home.", he said.
Celestia lit her horn and the magic surrounded McQueen. "Goodbye, Lightning McQueen.", she said.
McQueen began to glow, then he disappeared, he was heading home.
