> Heroes meet heros, a Zootopia/MLP crossover > by Applejack224 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1: Introductions > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crystal Empire, Equestria Ugh..., muttered the orange and white-furred unicorn who sat at his desk. He wore round glasses, had an orange mane along with an equally as orange goatee. The unicorn had his head down, rubbing his head with his hooves, sighing in frustration at the old and worn book opened in front of him. "Sunburst, are you okay?" a feminine voice said to him. Startled, Sunburst quickly turned around to see who just spoke: Princess Mi-Amore Cadenza, or simply Cadence. Also, the ruler to whom he served. "Oh, um, h-hello Your Majesty, what can I do for you?" Sunburst asked. "I'm just checking on you. You've been isolated in your personal study for the past few days and we were starting to get worried." Cadence replied. Sunburst swallowed and nodded. It was true that he hadn't been as sociable as he used to be, though with the rather impressive study he received after doing the Crystallizing, it was a wonder he ever got out at all. In truth, Sunburst had to admit, he had become quite obsessive over a certain magic book he discovered while exploring his study one day. "I apologize, Your Majesty. I just had gotten so invested into a particular book I had discovered and lost my sense of time." Sunburst explained, sheepishly grinning. Cadence giggled and replied, "oh, it's quite alright, Sunburst. We all get carried away from time-time on the things that we love the most. In a way, you remind me of my sister-in-law and how she gets so caught up in books like you do." Sunburst simply smiled and blushed slightly. "Anyhow, I imagine you probably haven't eaten much over the past few days. Why don't you take a break and join me and Captain Armor for dinner?" she asked politely. Looking over to his book, Sunburst thought for a few seconds before concluding that his research can wait. It wasn't like he cracked the spell yet anyway. "Sure, sounds like fun." he replied. ...... Zootopia, Mammal Earth Depending on where you were, Mid-July in Zootopia could either be sweltering heat with tons of humidity, or a dry heat that would make one wish he were a camel, or still be frigid cold. Fortunately, the day was still just starting, so the temperature was still somewhat low. Nick stood at the entrance of the ZPD station, wearing his traditional aviator sunglasses and holding two cups of Starhoof coffee in his paws. "Morning, Nick." Judy said as she walked up to him. She then noticed that the two coffee cups and smiling slyly, she added, "oh, are one of those for me?" "As much as I'd like to drink both of these magnificent cups, sadly yes, one of them is." Nick replied jokingly, giving one of them to his partner. .... Two hours later "Flash, Flash, 100-yard Dash, what's up Pal?" asked Nick as he and Judy walked up to the Sahara Square hardware store. Nick's friend, Flash, stood in front of the store, sitting on the sidewalk. He had been working there when the place got robbed and was one of the animals needed to be interviewed, along with the store owner. Poor guy, he looks really down. Nick thought as he looked down at the sloth. He knew that times weren't exactly going well for him ever since that whole thing where he was caught racing through Sahara Central and it was really with help from both him and Judy that Flash even managed to get to work here. "H-i-i N-i-c-k." the sloth said, his voice slower than usual. "Hey, Flash. Sorry about what happened." Judy consoled. Flash nodded and looked up at the two officers. Before he could say anything, an angry voice shouted, "Officers, about time ya showed up!" A rather angry looking beaver walked out of the shop and towards the officers. He wore a red collared shirt, with cargo pants and had on a cap which read BeaverTailEnd Hardwore store. "Sorry we couldn't get here any sooner, Mister Beavertail. We were just about to ask one of your employees for details on what happened here." Judy said, slightly annoyed by the beaver's burst of anger. "I'll tell you what happened here, Officer: my store was robbed by abunch of no-good vagrants!" Mr. Beavertail yelled. "T-h-e-r-e wa-s th-ree of th-em, all f-foxes." Flash chimed in. "Foxes?" Nick asked, his ears suddenly standing on end. "Yeah, foxes. Abunch of goddamned thugs, that group is." Mr. Beavertail retorted. Suddenly realizing what he just said, he looked to Nick with a slightly apologetic look. "Not you, of course, Officer Wilde." "Right... of course..." Nick replied sarcastically, his expression one of severe disapproval and even anger. Judy shared a similar look and asked sternly, "Mr. Beavertail, could you describe what the three looked like." Mr. Beavertail nodded and went into detail, all along Judy created a drawing based on the description. "Is this what they looked like, Sir?" she asked, holding the drawing so that the beaver could see it. The drawing was a depiction of three young foxes, aged 14 to 17, all wearing casual street clothes and had gang tattoos. After looking for a couple of minutes, Mr. Beavertail nodded and replied, "yup, that's them." "Good. Now, did you see where they were heading?" Judy asked. Mr.Beavertail thought for a moment before replying, "they were headed east, other side of town." "Alright, thank you for the information,Sir, and we'll see you later, Flash." Judy said as she and Nick returned to the car. Flash merely nodded and began to get back up from the sidewalk. ..... After several calls with Resources to identify the three thieves, Judy and Nick were on their way to the eastern side of Sahara Square. Nick was silent for the majority of the trip, seemingly lost in thought. God, he's so cute when he does that~wait, did I really think that? Come on, Judy, keep yourself together, he's your partner and its not like it would work out. Still, he seems really troubled by something, I should check up on him. thought Judy as a small bit of blush appeared on her face. After clearing her throat and calming herself down, Judy said, "hey, Nick, you doin okay?" Nick said nothing for a few moments, then replied, "I'm okay, just thinking about how easily I could have been one of those kids we're about to bust." Nick.... "I mean, I know I never did anything as serious as what these kids are doing, but it still troubles me that they're pretty much throwing their lives away." Nick continued. And... I'm worried that so many still see us foxes as shifty and as low-lifes... "Nick... you're a good person and you managed to turn your life around practically 180." Judy said comforting. "180, huh? So, if I do acouple more turns, I'll be at 360?" Nick asked with a sly grin on his face. Judy rolled her eyes and laughed. ....... > Chapter 2: The Spell > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Zootopia, later that evening The arrest of the three young fox thieves was surprisingly simple and quick. Perhaps it was the shock of seeing police at their hideout or that a fox was one of the cops that led to their rather quick arrest. Though, in truth, it was a combination of those two combined with the fact the three thieves simply weren't trained in how to fight with their bare paws properly that led to their takedown and arrest. After the three were taken to the station, Chief Bogo called Judy and Nick up to his office. "Sir, is something wrong?" Judy asked shortly after Bogo had taken his seat. The chief glanced at the two before replying, "yes, this is something big." The two officers glanced at each other before Nick asked, sarcastically, "big? There are many 'big' officers in this station, I think you may have to narrow it down." Bogo narrowed his eyes while Judy tried hard to stifle her laughter. "Very funny, Wilde."Bogo said while Nick gave a smug grin. "No, this is actually something kinda serious". the chief continued, grabbing something from a drawer in his desk. What he pulled out caused both officers to be stunned into silence: a white T-shirt with the phrase I Gazelle on it. "Nick, Judy," began Bogo, who rarely ever used their first names, "I need to ask you a favor. Could you please, PLEASE, get this signed for me by Gazelle the next time you go to one of her concerts?" "Uh.... sure, Sir.." Judy replied, still a little stunned. The chief Bogo and let Judy borrow it until the shirt was signed. .... "Well.... that was, um, strange." Nick said as the two walked out of the station. "Yeah, that was completely out of left field." replied Judy, still holding onto the now-folded shirt. "Say, I'm really hungry. Want to grab something to eat?" Nick asked, seeming to ignore the strangeness of earlier. "Alright, but this time, I choose the place. Larry's Bug Emporium wasn't exactly my cup of tea." Judy replied, giving an snarky smile. "Oh, come on, Carrots, their beetle sandwich isn't that bad." Nick protested. Judy simply gave a whatever shrug to which Nick simply shook his head and said nothing. .... The sun had just set and all the lights in the city were beginning to turn on. Nick and Judy had just gotten off the city-wide train system and were beginning to make their way to Judy's apartment complex and the night-time summer heat was killer. Several times, Nick had to swat at flies that were getting too close to his ears. Suddenly, Judy stopped, her ears perking up. Nick stopped behind her and asked, " what is it, Carrots?" "Nick, do you hear that noise?" Judy asked, her voice very serious. Nick said nothing, listening closely for whatever she was talking about. At first, he heard nothing but the sounds of crickets chirping in the night air, but the closer he listened, the more he can make out the sound: a faint humming sound. "Yeah... what is that.. humming noise?" he said asked in response. "I don't know, but it's coming from that alley way." Judy replied, pointing to an alley entrance about ten feet away. She ran at a full sprint towards the noise, surprising Nick and he ran after her, shouting, "HEY CARROTS, WAIT FOR ME!" Nick eventually caught up to her, and the two found themselves standing in front of some kind of swirling mass on the brick wall. The mass was dark blue with light pinkish-purple on the edges; the swirl being a continuous stream. At this distance, the two could very clearly hear the hum, despite its faintness. "What.. is this?" Judy asked. "I..I don't know." Nick replied, feeling very weirded out. Whatever this thing was, it felt... unnatural, like it should not exist at all. Judy tilted her head curiously and approached the strange mass of swirls. "Is this some kind of.. portal?" she asked, seemingly to herself. "A portal?! Ha! Have you been reading science fiction books again?" Nick jokingly asked. In truth, while he may have been joking, Nick was absolutely terrified and wanted to get out as quick as possible. Suddenly, the swirling mass expanded, swallowing Nick and Judy in a flash taking them through to wherever it came from. Crystal Empire, Equestria, 10 minutes earlier Dinner had ended an hour ago and Sunburst was back in his study, trying to get this new spell right. While the spell may seem like a simple teleportation spell, it really served two purposes: one was to create a means of getting to one area in dimensional space and the other was to simply observe whatever world or dimension the user may wish to see. For testing purposes, Sunburst only intended to observe and not travel and finally, he had it. After days of practicing and studying, Sunburst had finally worked out how to not only cast the spell, but maintain the tridimensional gate/mirror at least an hour after casting. Right now, Sunburst was observing what appeared to be an alleyway. At first, Sunburst had reasoned the alleyway was one of the many alleyways in Equestrian cities and thought nothing of it. However, when two strange beings approached the gateway. Sunburst realized that the world he was observing wasn't Equestria at all. Rather, it was some strange dimension where animals had gained the intelligence of ponies, yet walked upright instead of on all fours. The two strangers were a rabbit and a fox, dressed in what Sunburst could only assume were the uniforms of some kind of law-enforcement agency. The real shock was when he heard the two speak in perfect, non-accented Equestrian. How they spoke the same language as ponies was beyond him and so many questions were swirling around in his mind at the moment, that he lost focus and the gateway went from merely observing to actually enveloping and dragging the strangers across the gateway. Suddenly, and without warning, the strangers were right in front of him, the fox on top of the bunny, clearly stunned. Sunburst looked, wide-eyed, at the two and one thought ran through his mind: oh Starswirl the Bearded. > Chapter 3: The meeting. *REDONE* > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh Starswirl the Bearded, Sunburst thought as he looked wide-eyed at the two strangers in his personal study. "Ugh... w-where are we?" the fox asked as the two slowly got up. "I-I don't know, Nick, but wherever we are, it must be- AH! Oh my god, you are naked!" the rabbit responded, horrified by the sight of Starburst. Taken aback by this, Sunburst couldn't get his first thought out before the fox, whom Starburst realized was named Nick, said, "Carrots, its alright, he's got a little cape on." Carrots? Odd, but a fitting name for a rabbit, Starburst thought. "Whoa, um, easy there. I mean you no harm." Starburst quickly said. By now, Nick and Carrots had gotten up from the floor and were looking around, confused and bewildered. "What is this place?" the bunny asked. "This is my personal study, deep within the Crystal Empire castle." Sunburst replied, beaming with pride. Nick and the bunny both gave each other odd looks, as if the say, "I have no idea what any of that means." "Oh, um, let me introduce myself. My name is Sunburst, court wizard to Her Majesty, Princess Cadence, and you are..?" Starburst said. "I'm Officer Judy Hopps and this is my partner, Officer Nick Wilde, ZPD." Judy replied. Judy, huh? I stand corrected. But what is the ZPD? thought Sunburst. This place has a kingdom, and court wizard? Wow, this is just like the old fairy tales I used to read when I was little. Judy thought. "Hey, Sunburst, Mistress Cadence sent me to see if you needed anything and-huh?" said a new visitor, a female crystal pony unicorn who was just coming down the stairs. She stared for a few moments, too shocked to say anything. "Hey, um, I'm Off-" Judy couldn't get her last word out before the female pony screamed and yelled for the guards. "Well, Carrots, five minutes in a strange new world, only to get arrested by the cops." Nick said sarcastically. "Oh shush, Nick." Judy replied, her expression one of worry. Five minutes later, members of the Royal Crystal guard rushed down the stairs, spears at the ready. "STOP RIGHT THERE, INTRUDERS!" the lead guard, a stallion with a deep voice, warned. Nick and Judy raised their arms in the "surrender" pose. "Sir Sunburst, are you okay?" one of the guards asked. "Yes, I'm fine, but I fear there has been a misunderstanding. They are not intruders, merely brought over by an accidental magical transdimensional portal." Sunburst explained. The guard looked at him, appearing somewhat confused. "Well, if that's true, then by the First Contact Act, they should be brought before Her Majesties." the lead guard said, calling for another guard. "Sir?" "Private, I need you to get a message to Captain Armor, tell him we may have a First Contact scenario on our hooves." "Yes, Sir, right away!" the private said, saluting the officer. .... 15 minutes later A possible First Contact scenario, what a great time to have one, thought Captain Shining Armor as he headed to the containment area where the intruders were being kept. In all honesty, very few in the Royal Guard, or even in Her Majesties' Armed Forces for that matter, considered the First Contact Scenario very seriously. The idea of encountering extraterrestrial was very much just something that sci-fi nerds and young ponies put any real thoughts into. Then again, Equestria and the lands beyond are full of strange and bizarre things, so little green ponies wasn't too out there. As Shining approached the door the area, the two guards stationed at the entrance saluted him and one said, "they're waiting for you, Sir." The guard then opened the door for Shining and he stepped in. The containment area was really just a bigger version of an interrogation chamber with several guards surrounding the table in the center. For the first time since hearing the alert, Shining finally got a good look at the two intruders and was surprised at what he saw: a bunny and a fox, female and male, wearing what appeared to be law enforcement uniforms and looked quite different from foxes and bunnies that one would find in Equestria's forests. The two seemed to sit straighter when they saw Shining walk in, like they could tell he was an authority figure. "Hello, I am Prince-Captain Shining Armor, captain of the Crystal Empire's royal guard. I understand that you speak our language, correct?" he stated. "Yes, that is true." the rabbit responded in perfect Equestrian. How odd. I don't believe they've been in Equestria long, so how do they know our language so well? "Well, that is good. As part of our nation's First Contact Act, I am required to present you to Her Majesties, the rulers of Equestria and of the Crystal Empire." Shining replied, sounding very formal. The strangers nodded, though were clearly slightly confused, a clear sign they had never even heard of Equestria, let alone live in it. "But first, I will need to know who you two are." Shining continued. "I am Officer Judy Hopps, and this is my partner, Officer Nicholas Wilde, Zootopia Police Department." the bunny replied crisply. Zootopia? So that's where they're from. And oh great, animal pun names, Shining thought. .... Nick and Judy were escorted to a waiting room while whoever they met got prepared. "So...." Nick said, attempting to break the silence. "So... what do you think?" Judy replied, leaning back in her chair. Nick shrugged before replying, "I mean, other than landing in what seems like a little girl's dream world and that we're about to meet the equivalent to the President... I got nothing to add." He finished that last part with a cheeky grin. "Still.." he continued. "I hope that our stay here isn't very long." "I feel ya, Nick." Judy replied. Suddenly, a guard arrived and said, "The Princess will see you now." Princess? Oh god, this is even more of a little girl's biggest dream, thought Nick, clearing his throat as to not burst out laughing. The two were escorted out of the room and into the Throne Room. The room was exactly something one might see out of a fairytale, with just a more crystalline structure to it. A long flight of stairs led to the actual throne, with two guards posted at the very top. At the actual throne, which admittedly looked less like it was made for sentient mammals and more like for horses, sat a regal looking pink pony. She wore a crown and some kind of royal garment. Unlike the other ponies the two have seen, this one had both wings and a horn and appeared to be taller than the rest. "Your Majesty, I present to you, Officers Judy Hopps and Nicholas Wilde of the Zootopia Police Department." the guard that escorted them said as he bowed. Shortly after walking in, Nick and Judy bowed as well, just as the Princess herself got up from her throne. "Please, rise." she said, and everyone rose. "I am Princess Cadence, ruler of the Crystal Empire. It is my pleasure to welcome you to our land, Strangers." the Princess said. Judy nodded and replied, "thank you, Your Majesty." Cadence took a long look at them before continuing, " My understanding is that you two came here unwillingly, is that correct?" "Yes." Judy replied, looking at Nick. Cadence nodded and lowered her head slightly. "I am sorry for the inconvenience caused, I hope we can make the rest of your stay here enjoyable." Cadence said. Suddenly, Nick's stomach growled and he joked, "well, looks like someone isn't happy." Judy covered her mouth with her paw and giggled while Cadence said, "I imagine you two could use some sleep and a hot meal after your ordeal. Come, I already arranged our chiefs to give you a taste of Equestrian food." "Food does sound really nice right about now." replied Nick, grinning. > Chapter 4: The First Contact Scenario > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Article 2244, First Contact Scenario By order of Her Majesties, the rightful rulers of the Diarchy of Equestria , this plan seeks to create a viable and practical plan for first contact with non-Equestrian species. This specifically refers to beings we may encounter that are not of the planet of Equus. If such an event is to occur, the beings must be placed within a secure holding room or cell, guarded by either the Royal Guard or by Her Majesties' Armed Forces. They are to remain in said location until Her Majesties arrive to conduct an investigation into the intentions and origins of said beings. If any threat to the security of the planet is reasonably concluded, the beings are to be eliminated and all evidence destroyed so as to avoid any suspicion from the general public. If their intentions do not endanger the lives of Equestrian and global citizens, normal diplomatic relations are to be pursued. Drafted by General Stormhoof, of Her Majesties' Royal Air Force, October 20th, 2000 of the Celestial Calendar. Ponyville, Equestria Princess Twilight Sparkle was just enjoying a quiet evening of light study, (which is what most ponies would call really hitting the books), when Spike rushed to her study, holding a folded scroll in his clawed hand. "Twilight, we just got a message." he said, causing Twilight to turn around, slightly startled. "Spike, you scared me. I was so enthralled in this book I didn't hear you come in. You said we just got a message?" she asked. Spike nodded and replied, "huh-uh." Twilight used her telepathic spell to bring the scroll closer to her and unfolded it. "Let's see here. Dear Twilight, I have urgent news for you..." that was the last she said aloud as she quickly muttered the rest of the letter to herself. As she read, her eyes grew wide and her expression became one of excitement. "Spike, grab your things. It looks like we have a First Contact Scenario on our hooves. Oh, I'm so excited!" she excitedly told him. Spike looked up at her, raising an eyebrow in confusion. "First Contact Scenario? What is that, some cheap Star Trot reference?" he asked. "No, Spike. The First Contact Act was a real act passed by Princess Celestia back in the year 2000 and was made to give the government a set of instructions for if and when we encounter beings not from Equus." "So.. like aliens?" Spike asked, grinning. "In a sense, I suppose so. Though it also covers beings from another dimension." she explained. ...... Soon, Twilight and Spike were being escorted by a Royal Guard and a Her Majesties' Air Force unit to the Crystal Empire. Twilight spent most of the journey freaking out over possibly contacting beings from another world or another dimension. When Spike mentioned that it was possible that the beings were simply from this planet and simply haven't been discovered yet, Twilight said, "Either way, Spike, this could be one of the greatest discoveries in the history of Equestria." About 4 hours later, the royal escort landed near the entrance of the Crystal castle, and standing to greet Twilight and Spike was Twilight's sister-in-law, Princess Cadence. "Twilight!" "Cadence!" The two princesses hugged each other tightly before sitting and doing a cute nursery rhyme they've rehearsed: Sunshine, sunshine! Ladybugs awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake! That last bit was accompanied by the two mares shaking their flanks. "Oh, it's good to see you, Twilight." Cadence said, smiling. "Indeed. I just wish they were under better circumstances." Twilight replied, sighing. "Princess Twilight, Princess Cadence, good to see you two again." a familiar soothing voice said. The two turned to see Princess Celestia and Princess Luna approach them. By this time, Spike had caught up and at the sight of the rulers, he bowed respectively. Celestia smiled and motioned for the young dragon to rise. Luna then spoke for the first time: "From what We understand, We will not be conducting our investigations till the morning, is that correct?" "Yes, that is correct. The strangers are in our guest chambers, protected by our best Royal Guards." Cadence replied. "Good, for tomorrow will be rather busy for them as well as us. Tell me, Cadence, have these beings shown any signs of difficulties when they arrived?" Celestia asked. "No, not at all. They speak our language perfectly and are completely willing to cooperate. I suspect they will ask about our culture as we ask about theirs as well." Cadence replied. "Then, this investigation shouldn't take too long." Celestia replied. "I concur, Sister." Luna stated, nodding. > Chapter 5: Interview > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The morning after the arrival of the three remaining princesses, Judy and Nick found themselves in a room very similar to the one they were kept in the evening before, but this time with a table two times the size and length of the one from before and now the two were being asked questions by four princeses instead of just one. After initial introductions were made, Princess Luna asked, " We noticed you refer to yourselves as ZPD. We understand that you come from a city called Zootopia, but it doesn't seem to exist on our maps." "That's because Zootopia doesn't exist in your world, Your Majesty." Nick replied. "Yes, we heard as much, Officer Wilde, so it is true that you two came through an interdimensional gateway?" Luna continued. "That would be accurate, Your Majesty." replied Judy. Celestia spoke up next, stating, "to our understanding, this entrance was purely accidental, but the details are a bit lacking. Tell us everything you remember about your entrance to our world." Judy then told Celestia the story of how she and her partner discovered the gateway while returning home to the first encounter with the royal guards. "I must apologise, Officers. My court wizard is a good pony and I am quite certain he did not attend to bring you into our world." Cadence said at the end, blushing slightly. "It's quite alright, Princess, I think both of us recognize that it wasn't his fault." Judy replied, putting on a half-smile. "In any case, I think we have our answer. Now, we would just like to ask a few questions regarding the nature of this Zootopia you speak of." Celestia continued. For the next half an hour, both officers explained to the princesses what Zootopia is, how the city functions, and how predators and prey survive. "Wait, what about reptiles, fish, and other non-mammal species?" Twilight interrupted as Judy explained how mammals evolved to become the dominant group on the planet. "For whatever reason, they did not evolve. There are some marsupial species from a far-away continent that have formed their own nation, and I know a few mammals who keep reptiles, birds, and fish as pets." Judy replied. "Fascinating, just fascinating." replied Twilight, dotting the information down on a pad. As Judy was explaining this, Cadence couldn't help but notice the fox, Officer Wilde, would occasionally shift his eyes towards Judy, in a way that might suggest romantic interest. Cadence also noticed Judy doing the same thing, if a little less subtle, whenever Nick spoke. Aww, they have a thing for each other and neither one realizes it. How cute. Cadence thought, smiling. Finally, after two hours of interviewing, the four rulers excused themselves and asked that the two remain in the room while they deliberated on what do with them. Either way, whatever decision they made with affect the lost police officers for the rest of their lives. > Chapter 6: The Decision > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Later.. The four princesses met in the Crystal Castle's situation room following the interview. Twilight carried a stack of papers so tall, one would think she was prepared for the longest speech ever recorded in history. Or she could have just went a bit overboard with her note-taking, that was always a possibility. After taking their seats, Princess Celestia noticed the ridiculous amount of notes Twilight had and said, "enough notes there, My Former Student?" Twilight grinned and blushed a bit. "I may have gotten a tad bit carried away with my notes. There was just so much information and it was so exciting and-" "It's quite alright, Twilight. I'm sure all of us are quite excited by this turn of events." Celestia replied, chuckling a bit. "In any case, it is time for Us to make a very important decision: what should we do regarding these... foreigners?" Luna said, her tone one of seriousness. "Yes, of course. Based on what I have seen myself, I think we are safe letting the officers stay." Cadence replied. She then turned to Twilight and asked, "Twilight, what do you think?" Twilight was busy flipping through her notes when Cadence asked and after a couple minutes, replied, "well, it seems to me that these officers pose no threat to the safety of Equestria and we may be able to learn alot from each other." "Yes, but will they be able to get used to our ways. We are concerned that these strangers may find Equestrian society to be....very different from their own. Not to mention how our little ponies will react to seeing them." Luna countered. "Maybe so, but did you also not have trouble adapting to Equestrian society, Sister? When you were reformed and started becoming acquainted to modern Equestria, I recall you went through quite a culture shock." Celestia replied. Luna looked to her sister and considered what she said. "Besides, like Twilight stated and like we saw for ourselves, these strangers pose no harm, can speak our language perfectly, and not to mention are respectable members of their own society." Celestia continued. "We... I suppose you are right, Sister." Luna finally said. The three turned to Cadence, who hadn't yet shared her own opinion. "What says you, Dear Cadence?" Luna asked. "I was the first to meet the two officers and based on my own interview combined with our most recent interview, I see no reason to not allow them to continue living here. I will suggest, however, that we work on trying to get them home as soon as possible. I am quite sure they have family and friends back home who would miss them too much." Cadence replied. "Of course. We will do everything in our power to make sure the two return home safe and sound." Celestia said, smiling. She then said, "all in favor of letting the strangers continue to live, say 'aye'." Four ayes were said; an unanimous vote. "The ayes have it. This meeting is adjourned." Celestia announced, getting up from the table. The four princesses, satisfied in their decision, left the room and went to tell the strangers the news. ....... Nick and Judy waited in the same room they had spent in the night before, with Judy nervously pacing the room and Nick tapping his foot. "H-Hey Judy." Judy paused and her ears perked up, not used to hearing Nick sound so... scared. She slowly turned to him and asked, "y-yeah, Nick?" Nick looked up, his ears folded back and his eyes seeming somewhat fearful. It broke her heart to see him like this and she just wanted to go over to him and give him the biggest hug he ever experienced. "C-Carrots, I-I never got to-" His words were stopped when the sound of the door being opened was heard, causing the two to quickly look to see who it was: the four princesses of Equestria. One by one, the four entered, until they were all facing the two officers at the same time. "Officers Nicholas Wilde and Judy Hopps, We Royal Princesses of Equestria have decided to allow both of you the honor of receiving our friendly hoof. Welcome to Equestria." Princess Celestia announced.
