> Ms. Moon (FNaN side story #1) > by Luna Bruce > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Ms. Moon > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nightmare Moon was walking around the building when she heard someone-a child sobbing. It was in the afternoon and everyone was supposed to be talking and playing with the animatronics but today the children and adults was sort of scared of her. They didn't walk up to her, they just ignored her or ran away when she came close or tried to interact with them. Nightmare Moon was confused about her predicament so she decided to take a walk near the washrooms. Why would anyone-a child for that matter be crying at this time? Nightmare Moon thought as she came closer to the boys washroom. It sounds like it's coming from in here. She thought again, poking her head into the washroom, trying not to look inside the stalls, only to find a little boy about eight or nine sobbing right next to the entrance. He was sitting while covering his eyes with his hands in the fetal position. The little boy had light skin with short black hair that was cut to his head. He was wearing a pink My Little Pony shirt with Rainbow Dash on it with dark blue jeans. "Hey..are you okay?" The black animatronic alicorn asked the little boy, coming into the washroom slowly. "Huh?" The little boy immediately lifted his head from his hands and looked up at the robot standing in front of him. "Are you okay?" Nightmare Moon asked again, concern somehow appearing on her face. "You-you're a robot! How-how are you here?" The little boy asked Nightmare Moon, fear in his hazel eyes. "Well-" Nightmare Moon started but stopped herself after realizing that the story of her and her friends and sister's death would scare him even more then he already was. "It's a long story, but you didn't answer my question: are you okay?" Nightmare Moon asked again but with more frustration then she intended. "Yeah." The boy sniffed. "I'm fine." He added. "My father once told me that if someone says that they're fine, they're most likely not." Nightmare Moon said, remembering her dad's trivia. "Please tell me what's wrong." She said, placing her robotic hoof on the young boy's shoulder. "You wouldn't understand." The boy replied. "You don't know if I'd understand or not. You shouldn't just assume." Nightmare Moon said, putting her forehoof back on the washroom floor. "But-what if you DON'T understand? You'll probably laugh at me too!" The boy replied, sounding more distraught. Nightmare Moon let out a sigh of defeat and smiled warmly at the boy and said: "How can I help you if I don't know what's wrong? This also reminds me of a doctor's appointment." The boy realized that she wasn't going to let this go so he gave in. "Well...this year I just got into My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and ever since I admitted it to my class nobody wanted to play with me at recess or lunch. They never want to be my partner or be a part of my group whenever we had a group project so I have to do it with my teacher. They call me the teacher's pet and laugh at me whenever anyone notices me drawing a picture of Rainbow Dash because she's my favorite pony." The boy explained, tears in his eyes. Nightmare Moon remembered something similar when she was alive. It was well known at her old school that she loved MLP and her classmates would often sing "My Little Pony, skinny and boney, went to the circus, farted on purpose and then it was the end of the day!" to try to annoy her and she would always get upset when they did that. "I understand completely. I used to get teased at my old school for being a Brony too." Nightmare Moon said, remembering. "What a "Brony"?" The boy asked. "If you have a tablet or computer you could look it up. They helped me overcome times that I felt depressed. I'm sure they can help you too." Nightmare Moon said, wiping the tears from the boy's eyes with one of her forehooves. "Also, what's your name?" Nightmare Moon asked. "Gabriel." The little boy replied. "Nice name. Why did you come here?" Nightmare Moon asked Gabriel. "It's my birthday party today but since I don't have any friends, I couldn't invite anyone." Gabriel replied, tears filling his eyes again. Nightmare Moon wiped his tears again and hugged him tightly. "I can be your friend." Nightmare Moon said. "Really?! Sure! I'll try and come here again!" Gabriel said, smiling happily as he pulled away from the hug after he heard his parents calling for him. "I'll see you later! Um..Ms. Moon!" Gabriel called to Nightmare Moon as he left. Nightmare Moon waved back at him while saying: "I'll see you later too..Gabriel." Gabriel came to Nightmare's to see his friend every weekend until an incident involving around him happened. Nightmare Moon sobbed in front of the boy's washroom, remembering her time with Gabriel. The place had closed and she would never see her only living friend again. Discord walked up to Nightmare Moon with concern. "I warned you not to get that close to a child. Now look what happened. You killed a child and got us shut down." Discord said accusingly. "I know! It's all my fault! He will NEVER forgive me!" Nightmare Moon Said. In the corner of her eye she thought she saw her friend's crying ghost say: "I forgive you, Ms. Moon." The End
