Hearth's Warming Cookies

“PINKAMENA DIANE PIE DON'T TOUCH THOSE COOKIES!!!” yelled a light gray mare by the name Cloudy Quartz.

“But why?” Pinkie slumped to the ground whining, “They're just sitting there just asking to be eaten and I can't deny them to do their life's work”

Igneous Pie looked at his full grown daughter with a bored look, “Those cookies are for Kris Kringle. We don't want to not give him nothing for the third year in a row.”

Pinkie smiled sheepishly, “Sorry, they just looked so good and Moms cooking is great. I'm happy that we're going to have Hearths Warming together for the first time in years. I think you would of forgot about me.”

“Please, no one could forget meeting you Pinkie.” said Limestone as she walked in from the field after a hard days work. “It would be like you forgetting to not touch Holders Boulder, you don't forget.”

Maud looked up from the couch where she was playing with boulder and she gave a rare smile at that comment. “It is kinda hard to forget you Pinkie.”

“Wheres your sister Marble? Isn't she back from the train station yet?” Cloudy asked as she set down a large pot on the kitchen table, “It's almost time to eat our Hearth's Warming Eve supper.”

“She should be back soon,” said Pinkie with a large smile, “She's just giving her coltfriend a big ol' hug and kiss before Applejack and her family goes back to Ponyville.”

Igneous looked up slightly confused, “She finally asked Big Mac out? Hmm. I thought it would of taken forever. She's too shy for her own good, gets it from her mother.” Igneous got a face full of paper from the kitchen.

“You know that's one of the reasons you fell for me Stone.” said a smiling Cloudy, “If I do recall you also liked ...” Cloudy whispered in Igneous ear and he was turning redder by the second.

Cloudy pulled away and gave him a kiss on his burning cheeks. “Well, uh... yes I do suppose those reasons are there too.”

“Oooooooh. Oooh Tell me what she said Dad. Why did your face get redder than a tomato getting a sunburn cause that's not good. It will make the tomato all mushy and then it doesn't taste good, then it can never fulfill its purpose. Like these cookies.” Pinkie said as she zeroed in on the cookies again.

“Pinkie I hope you never hear what I just heard from Quartz. You might black out. I know I would if I heard my parents say that.” said her father with a soft tone.

Marble walked in with a small goofy smile on her face and immediately jumped back with a squeak when Pinkie jumped in front of her.

“Hiya Marble, so ya get a smooch from Big Mac cause your face says it all!!!”

Marble's eyes widened and her blush darkened as she mumbled her response with a smile, “He did. There was some mistletoe on the door of the train and he gave me the best present ever afterwords.”

“What he get you?” said Cloudy from the kitchen.

Marble smiled and showed them a necklace with her namesake stone carved into the shape of Big Mac's cutie mark. “ He said that he asked Spike to carve this for him and he said as long as I have this I'll always be near your heart.”

Pinkie smiled with a few tears in her eyes, “That's so beautiful. Ill have to give the big lug a hug for that amazing gift for you.”

Marble gave pinkie a gentle hug, “Thanks Pinkie.”

“Alright , lets start supper since everypony is here,” Cloudy gestured to the table as she sat on one side and Igneous sat at the other head of the table. The Pie siblings took the sides, Pinkie and Marble on one and Limestone and Maud on the other .

Igneous looked at his family with a smile. “Let us pray for this meal that Princes Celestia and Luna has provided for us with the sunlight that the plants need to survive and the night for which every living thing needs rest” The family nodded and bowed their heads.

“Princess Celestia and Luna we thank thee for the blessings that you have given us this year. You have made this year at our farm one of the most successful. We thank you for the food we have on our table and thank you for our family at our table,” Igneous started

Quartz started to say her thanks, “Also thanks for helping us through our time of need when our family became one less and we united at the time of my mothers death. I thank Princess Luna that she guided her to the afterlife of paradise and I hope to meet her there.”

Maud stated simply, “ I am thankful for my family and I thank Princess Luna for her beautiful night sky. I'm also thankful for all the rocks that I can study and make my life work about.

Limestone took a deep breath, “I thank you for the success as well and I hope you will continue to bless our family.,” she took a quick glance at her father and added, “Also help me to not let anyone touch Holders Boulder and maybe a coltfriend.”

Everyone giggled and Marble spoke softly, “ I thank the princesses for a great year and I also thank them for being able to find a great pony that I love. I also thank you for protecting my sister Pinkie through all that she does for the country.,” Marble feeling a bit courageous adds, “I also thank you for putting up with her, we know she can be a hoofull.”

Pinkie giggled and started hers, “I am thankful for all the friends I have made in Ponyville and for the Cake family work for them. I also thank the princesses for helping me make new friends around Equestria like Coco Pommel and the Yaks from YakYakistan. I also thank you for the Elements of Harmony which without I couldn't help Equestria with. Oh!! and we wouldn't be able to turn Discord from a big meanie pants to a great friend who likes to have great fun with ponies. I also thank you for my family. Even though we might of lost Granny Pie I still have my mom and dad, and my sisters. I thank you and I hope we have more blessings from you in the future.”

Everypony finished with an “Amen”

The Pie family had their dinner with all the laughing and crying a family would have during a holiday. The snow kept falling out side as they prepared for bed and started to fall asleep. The night sky could still be seen despite the snow and it shimmered among the flakes of snow drifting down meeting their many brethren on the ground, to make a truly beautiful sight.

A pink hoof traveled up the side of the table leg and near the plate of cookies for Kris Kringle when she heard something in the living room. She looked and saw the jolly pony himself. He smiled at pinkie and noticed that she had the cookies that were made for him.

He smiled at Pinkie and asked in a deep baritone voice, “May I share a cookie with you Pinkie Pie, you have been a good mare this year?”

Pinkie nodded and sat down on the couch with Kris and ate cookies together. When Kris had had his fill he left the remaining gifts for the family underneath the tree and popped out with his magic.

Pinkie sighed with a smile and looks out the window at the night sky and says, “Happy Hearth's Warming and Merry Christmas,” she then looks at you and winks, then she goes to bed for a peaceful slumber.
