One night Applejack saw a meteorite crash in the Everfree forest, so she went to investiagte. When arriving at the crash site she saw a giant metal bird, but what shocked her the most was that crawled out of it: a blue bird with a big mouth named Falco Lombardi. Now he's the only one that can save them from a threat that Equestria has never faced before, the forces of Andross.
It was lovely night Equestria Luna had done a great job with the night, the stars and moon was shining bright. Ponies were getting ready bed except for one and that was Applejack, she was doing her last chores for the day and that stacking hay bales in the barn, she had just getting the last one in place. She wiped some sweat from her forehead.
“I’m beat, time for me to get inside and take a shower before I go to bed.”
She walked out of the barn and looked up in the sky. “Princess Luna sure did a good job with the night.” Then she saw something fare up in the sky. “What’s that?” She narrowed her eyes to get a better look and it looked like a… “Is that a shooting star?”
The star came closer and closer, the closer it came the more it not looked like a shooting star but a meteorite it was heading straight towards her.
“Holy molly, it heading towards the farm.”
Applejack stared to panic but then it looked like the meteorite was staring to change direction, it was heading towards the Everfree forest. What was weird that it didn’t she didn’t hear an explosion, Applejack stared to pace around in panic.
“What should I do? Should I get the girls? No, if I do Rarity would probably complain that is too late and Fluttershy is afraid of the dark.” She groaned. “I can believe I’m doing this.” She stared to run into the forest.
After a while of wandering Applejack wonder if she ever would find the meteorite. ‘What am I doing here? Just to see where this meteorite landed? To think about it a meteorite shouldn’t move like that, it change direction and I remember that Twilight said once that is impossible.’
When she finally arrived where the star had landed she got a shock, what she saw was a bird but it looked like it was made of metal and it was bigger.
“What is that?” She asked no one in particular.
She approached the metal bird very carefully, she didn’t want it to come back to life. When she was close enough she touched it very carefully, it didn’t move.
“Huh, I guess it dead.”
Then all of sudden it made a hissing noise that scared Applejack so much that she almost jumped out of her skin, she then saw that the head open and something crawled out of it. She didn’t get a good looked at first but when it landed on the ground face first, when she could see what it was, it was a giant blue bird that was much bigger than herself, it has a yellow beak and red around its eyes, it didn’t have hooves but boots on its feet and it was wearing clothes.
“Hey, are you okay?” She asked nervously.
The creature tried to grab her with one of its wings, she back away from it in fear. It cried out in agony. “Help me.” Then it pasted out.
Applejack stared to panic, again. “What’s should I do? I can’t leave this ‘bird’ here but if Ii take it back to the farm it could attack us.” The she saw that the bird was hurt, she sighted. “Come on AJ, if you can’t leave this bird her alone you would never forgive yourself.” She walked toward the bird. “Something tells me that I’m going to regret this.”
She manged to get creature on her back, it’s arms and legs was hanging down on the ground, it’s head rested on her head but she could move it and it was heavy. “Wow pal, you’re a lot heavier then you look.” She stared to head back to the farm.
While walking back she looked around to make sure that no animals would come out and attack them. ‘This is crazy, here I’m am risking my life for a creature that might be dangerous. But, if he were dangerous he would have attack me not asked for help.’ Then she heard noises in some bushes. ‘I can think about this later, time to pick up the pace’. She stared to walk even faster.
Finally, she could see the farm and boy was she relieved. ‘There’s the farm, thank Celestia.’ She looked back at her passenger to see if he was still alive, she could fell his breath on her fur and his stomach was moving up and down. ‘Good, it still alive.’ She walked towards the house.
When she was outside the house she shouted. “Big mac, get you red flank out her now. I need your help.”
It didn’t take long before the red stallion walked out the door, he raised an eye brown of what he saw.
“What is that?” He pointed at the creature on his sister back.
“I think is a bird, look. Whatever it is it’s hurt and I need you to take it up to the guest room for me, it’s heavier than it looks.”
Mac said nothing, he just shrugged his shoulder and walked over to his sister so he could take the bird on his back, once he had it on his back he walked towards the door.
“I’m going to see if Redheart is still awake, see if you can get its clothes off.” Mac nodded.
Applejack walked towards the town while Mac walked into the house, inside sat his little sister Applebloom on the floor drawing on some paper. She stopped what she was doing when she heard her brother come in, her eyes widen when she saw what was on his back. She ran to his brother.
“Hey Mac, what’s is that?” She pointed at the bird on his back.
“Don’t know, ask your sister when she gets back.”
He closed the door whit his hind leg and walk up the stairs to the second floor, when there he walked to the guest room, open the door and walk towards the bed. He manged somehow to get the bird on the bed but the bed was a little too small, his legs was hanging outside the bed. Then Applebloom walked into the room.
“Do you think it is dangerous?” She asked her big brother.
Mac studied the creature. “Don’t know, we know more when its wake ups. Let’s get its clothes of, you can take its boots while I take of the rest.”
Applebloom just nodded, she walked to its feet and grabbed one of the boots with her front hooves and she stared to pull it off. When she finally got the first off, she landed on her butt, she got up and stared to rub it.
“That hurt.”
Mac just smiled of what just happened. Applebloom was about to take of the other one when she saw the bird’s feet, her eyes widened
“Mac, Take a look at his feet.”
Mac couldn’t help but wonder what is sister meant by that so he did as she said and what he saw made his stomach sick, the bird hat not normal feet but they were metallic. They stared just above his knees.
“Why does he have metallic legs Mac?” Apple Bloom asked her brother.
“I don’t know, just try and focus on taking off the other boot, alright.”
Applebloom just nodded and went to take of the other one while Mac took of his clothes. It didn’t take long before he was completely naked, Mac covert his private parts with a blanket.
“There, now we just have to wait for Applejack to bring nurse Redheart her.” Said Mac.
And right on cue the door open and in walked Applejack with Redheart right behind her.
“Alright Applejack, mind telling me why you got me to come here at this hour of the day?” Redheart asked the farmer.
“Its better I show you, Mac? Are you in the guest room with our ‘guest’?”
“Yeep.” Mac answered.
“Alright, were coming up.”
Mac and Applebloom could hear them both coming up the stairs.
“For the last time, why did you…”
When Redheart saw what was lying on the bed in the guest room it was almost that she needed a doctor or a nurse herself, she approached it very carefully. She touched one of the feet with her hoof.
“Applejack, what is this creature?” Redheart ask.
“I don’t know, I found it in the Everfree forest.”
That good a panic look from her sibling and Redheart.
“You went into the Everfee? Alone? At night? Why?” Red asked her.
“Did you all see that shooting star?” All of them nodded. “Well I got a close encounter with it, it looked like it was heading for our house but then it changed direction towards the Everfree. I did not hear an explosion so I went to investigate, when I arrived I saw a giant metal bird and that.” She pointed at the bird in the bed. “Fell out of it.”
After she was finished everypony wonder if she was telling the truth or not, then they remember she is Applejack and she can’t lie.
“Look Redheart, can you just take a look at it? I don’t think it dangerous.”
Redheart took a deep breath. “Okay, but I need some privacy. I don’t need you all looking over my shoulder while I’m working.” She walked to the side of the bed and took of the bag she had on her back.
Applejack and the others walked out of the room, she closed the door and walked down stare with Mac and Applebloom. Mac went to the kitchen while Applejack and her little sister went to the living room.
“Do think it will be okay Applejack?” Applebloom asked her sister.
“I sure hope so, wait a minute.” She looked at her little sister. “Why aren’t you in bed, it way past your bed time.”
“I was about to but then Big Mac came in with that bird, so I ended up with helping him.”
“Okay then but I want you in bed after Redheart has left, got it?”
The apple sibling wait for Redheart to be done and it didn’t take long, they heard a door open and close. Then they Redheart come down the stairs, Applejack walked over to her when she was down in the first floor.
“How’s the creature Redheart?” She asked the nurse.
“First thing, the creature is a he and he’s fine. Some bruised ribs and a small concussion, other than that he’s fine.”
Applejack breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s good.”
“Yeah, I should go and I will send you the bill Applejack for this night visit, this was supposed to me day off.”
Redheart headed for the exit while Applejack and the other headed for the second floor to go to bed, Applejack walked to guest room too looked inside to see if the bird was sleeping. She poked her head inside and saw the he was sleeping peacefully she couldn’t help but smile of that.
Applejack walked into her own room and closed the door, she put her hat on the chair and climbed up in her own bed. For a while she just stared up in the ceiling wondering if she did the right thing, eventually she fell asleep.
“What does it look like Fox? I’m ending this.” Falco answered.
“You can’t attack the enemy so close to a black hole you will get pulled in, back of now.”
But Falco did not listen, he steered his Arwing towards the enemy ship. “Eat laser you filthy ass monkeys.” He pressed the button and laser fired towards the enemy ship causing a lot of damage. “That’s right.”
He was about to turn the Arwing around but the black hole gravitation took a hold of his ship. “What the hell?” He was stared to get pulled backwards. “More power.” He hit the acceleration but it didn’t work, he was pulled inn.
“Guys, I may have a problem.” He told his team. “The black hole is pulling me in.”
Fox groaned. “I told you that would happened, hold on I’m coming to get you.”
“Forget it Fox, you get pulled into it. So back off.”
He stared to get closer and closer to the black hole. ‘Maybe even more power?’ He pushed the ship even more but then his instrument stared to flash red. ‘Oh crap, its shutting down.’ But before he could do anything he disappeared into the black hole with the enemy ship.
When he emerged on the other side he felt sick. ‘I think I’m going to throw up.’ He managed to hold it. ‘Alright, where am I?’ He looked around and the first thing he saw was a planet he didn’t recognized, but before he could do anything his Arwing stared to get pulled towards the planet.
“What the hell is happening? My instrument is going crazy.”
He then lost control of his Arwing, then he’s instrument stared to flash red again. He tried to get control over the Arwing but the controls weren’t responding. “Come on you piece of junk.” He then entered the atmosphere, when he cleared of that he could see a giant castle on a cliff. ‘Seriously?’ Was all he could think of.
He then noticed that he was heading for a farm in high speed and he could see light in the house. ‘Oh shit, I’m going to crash into that house and there are people living there.’ He tried to get control of the Arwing again so he wouldn’t crash into the house.
“Come on, turn you piece of shit.”
He noticed a forest just beside the farm so he tried to steer his Arwing towards it. “Come on.” He managed to steer the Arwing towards the forest, he got closer and closer to the ground. “Time to eject.” He tied to pull the ejector lever but I was stuck. “You got to be fucking kidding me.” He got ready for impact. “This is going to hurt.” Then he hit the ground and passed out.
Falco open his eyes and notice he was lying on the dash board, he pushed himself back and right way he felt the pain in his ribs and head. “Fuck that hurt, did I land in the forest?” He looked out of the cockpit and saw trees, he breath sigh of relief. “I guess I missed that house, that’s good. Let’s see if I can get out.” He pushed the button that open the cockpit and it open.
When tried to climb out he felt that he was in worst shape and he thought, he landed on the ground on his back and he almost screamed out in pain.
“Hey, are you okay?”
Falco turned his head towards the voice and he could swear the he saw a pony that walked on all four and was wearing a hat on its head. “Help me.” Was all he could say before he pasted out, again.
Falco was awakened by the sun shining in his eyes, he held up a hand in front of his eyes. “Fucking sun, I’m awake.” He tried to sit up but as soon as he did he felt pain in his side and his head. “God damn it.” He then felt something agents his hand and it was not fur, he looked down and he saw bandages around his waist. “When did that get here?” He then looked around. “Where am I?” He could see that he was in room, that was obvious.
Then the door to the room open and in walked a pony with hat on its head, it was female and hit had orange fur with blond hair. ‘Wait a minute, I know that pony.’ The pony walked over to the bed he was lying in.
“I see that your awake, how are you felling?” The pony asked Falco.
“I must have hit my head because I’m talking to a pony who walked on four legs.” He fell back on the bed. “Just my luck.”
That just confused Applejack. “I have a name and its Applejack, what’s so wrong with me talking?”
“Nothing at all.” He sighed. “I guess that your responsible for me to be alive, so thanks.”
Applejack smiled. “Your welcome, now I have some questions.”
“Shoot.”
Now was Applejack confused again. “Why do you want me to shoot you?”
“What? What I meant was… just ask already.” Falco crossed his arms.
“Alright, what’s your name?”
“Falco Lombardi, ace pilot of the Star Fox team.”
She raised her brow of that last part. ‘Star Fox? What’s that?’ She decided to ask another question. “Are you dangerous?”
Now it was Falco turn to be confused. “Excuse me?”
“Are You Dangerous?” She asked again.
“Define dangerous.”
“Well I need to know if you’re going to hurt me and my family.”
“No, I’m not going to hurt you or your family. Just don’t give me a reason.”
Applejack was satisfied with his answered because he wasn’t lying, that’s for sure.
“I believe you.”
He lifted an eyebrow. “Just like that?” She nodded with a smile. “Then you got a problem.”
“What do you mean?”
He looked at her. “You should never trust strangers so fast, it may come back and bite you later.”
“Why do I want others to come and bite me later?”
Falco groan. “Never mind, so what happens now?”
“Now I’ll invite you to breakfast.”
She stared to walked towards the door but stopped in the door way, she looked back at Falco who was lying in the bed confused. “Coming?” Falco just shrugged his shoulder.
He climbed out from the bed and he was grateful that he still had underwear, he saw that the rest of his clothes was lying in on a chair so he walked over to it and stared to get dressed. He didn’t bother to take on his boots so when he walked down the stairs the apple family could hear a klang every time his foot hit the wood.
When he finally arrived at first floor he could see Applejack and a big red pony working in the kitchen, he then noticed an old one who was green in a rocking chair, sleeping. The last one he saw was sitting in the living room and this one was a lot smaller, it has yellow fur and red hair with bow in its hair.
Applebloom was busying busy sitting on the couch table with her drawing when she heard something coming down the stairs, she turned around and what she saw was the bird that Applejack brought home last night. She watched as it walked towards her and sat down in one of the chairs by the table, it buried its face in its hand.
Falco groan in his hands. ‘I’m in a magical land with ponies that walk on four legs and talk, if Cat finds out she is going to torture me with it forever.’ He the notice the little pony staring at him.
“What? What do you want?” He asked Applebloom.
“Hey, I’m Applebloom. What’s your name?”
“Falco Lombardi.” He leaned his head back.
“Where are you from?”
‘Curious this one.’ He pointed up. “Up there.”
She looked up. “You come are from the second floor?”
Falco looked at her. “No, I come from space. Very far away.”
She stared to giggle. “You can’t come from space, there’s nothing that could survive out there. Our teacher told us that.”
“Well I can.”
Before Applebloom could ask any more Applejack called from the kitchen. “Breakfast is ready.” Applebloom got off the couch and ran to the kitchen.
Falco just smiled of what the pony did. ‘Fast one.’ He got up and walked to kitchen and when he got there he could see that Applejack and her family was already by the table including the old mare, who he could swear was just sitting in the rocking chair just a second ago. He just shook it off and sat down in a chair beside Applejack.
He noticed that the red stallion was watching him the hole time. “If you got something to say big guy then say it.” The stallion didn’t say anything he just went back to eating.
Applejack looked between them. “Are we going to have fight?” She asked them both.
“Depends on the big guy.“ Falco answered.
“His name is Bic Mac and he is my big brother and I don’t want any fighting at table.”
Falco said nothing and decide to help himself to the food that was until the elderly ponies kept given him a look.
He pointed his tump at her. “What’s her problem?” He asked the others.
“My name is granny Smith and was wondering was kind of an animal you were.”
“I’m a bird, I thought that the beak was a give way.” Falco said in a sarcastic tone.
She just shrugged her shoulder. “If you say so.”
Falco just rolled his eye and went back to the but was interrupted by someone knocking rapid on the door.
“What now?” He asked with annoyance in his voice.
“Open up Applejack, I know that there is a new pony in there.”
That was a new voice Falco had never heard and its was female. ‘How hell did she know that I’m here?’ He thought to himself.
“I’ll better open up and let Pinkie in before she breaks down the door.” Applejack went to open the door.
‘Pinkie? What kind of name is that?’ He could help but snort.
He was about to try to get some food again but this time it was a pink pony right in front of face, that scared him so much that he fell backwards in his chair. The pony was standing on the table.
“Hey my name is Pinkie Pie and you are new to Ponyville and I know every pony and I don’t know so I had to…”
That’s was all she could say before Falco punch her in the face so hard that she fell on the floor, that shocked Applejack and her family.
“Would you shut the fuck up, you just don’t appear in front of others like that especially when someone is trying to eat, didn’t your parents teach you any manners?” He took a few breaths to calm himself down. “I lost my appetite, I’m going out.” He left the kitchen disappeared out the door, he slammed the door very hard on the way out.
Applejack walked over to Pinkie who was still lying on the floor, she was rubbing the place where Falco had hit her.
“What’s the matter with you Pinkie? I told you NOT do that but you did it anyway, did you even listen to me? I’m starting to wonder if you take anything seriously.”
“I’m sorry Applejack, you know that I get excited when there is somepony new in town.”
“I know that but he is hurt and the last thing he needed is a pony that appears out of nowhere, beside am not the one you should apologies to.”
“You’re right, I go and do it right away.”
Pinkie was about to head out but Applejack stopped her.
“I don’t think now is not the right time, do it after he has calmed down.”
Outside Falco has gone behind the bar and there he was pacing back and forth, he had done that for a while trying to calm himself down.
“I swear if every ‘pony’ in place is the same as the pink on I’m going to scream, I mean, how the hell did just appear in front of me with out I notice it? It’s not possible.”
“Don’t try to think about it, you only get a headache.”
He knew that voice, he turned around and there stood Applejack with and sandwich on her back.
“What do you mean ‘don’t try to think about it’?” He asked her.
“A while ago my friend Twilight tried to find out why Pinkie did the thing she did, well lest just say it just created a lot of headache for her.” She walked over to him. “Her, I brought you a sandwich.”
He took it. “Thanks.” He was about to eat it. “It’s not hay on it, is it?”
She shook her head. “Nope.”
“Good.” He took a bite of it and his eyes light up. “This is good.” He ate the hole sandwich.
Applejack smiled. “I’m glad you like it.”
Falco leaned against the wall to the barn. “Sorry I ruined breakfast.”
“Don’t worry about it but you should apologize to Pinkie for hitting her.”
“Sure, when she apologizes to me for almost given me a heart attack.” He then pointed at the dark forest. “Is there where I crashed?”
“Yep, I saw you fell out of giant metal bird. What was that?”
She didn’t get an answer but what she was that Falco stared to walk towards the Everfree.
Where are, you going?” He didn’t answer he just kept on walking. “You can’t walk in there alone.” She groaned. “Two times in two days, must be a record.” She ran after him.
The Everfree forest, the most dangerous place in Equestria. Home to some of the most dangerous animals that have ever existed but right now the most dangerous was a 6 feet bird with a pony behind him and he was in a hurry.
“Can you slow down Falco, why are you in hurry?”
Despite that Applejack was one of the strongest ponies in Ponyville she had trouble keeping up with Falco, he was taking longer steps and usual.
“I just want to get to my Arwing get it fix and leave this place.”
“You mean that metal bird?”
“Yes, and don’t call my Arwing that.”
Before they could go any further a Manticore jump out from some bushes, it roared towards the couple. Applejack got in a fighting stand while Falco walk towards the Manticore, when Applejack saw that she was shocked.
“What are you doing?”
He didn’t answer her, when he was face to face to Manticore he looked straight into the beast eyes. The Manticore stared to growl but Falco just kept staring into its eyes, eventually the Manticore just snorted and walked away into the bushes. Applejack just stood there with her mouth hanging down.
“That’s a good way to catch flies.”
She closed her mouth. “How did you do that?” She asked him.
“Do what?”
She walked over to him. “That.” She pointed her hoof where the Manticore vanished. “You just got a Manticore to walk away, they only one I have seen do that is Fluttershy. So how did you do that?”
“You can never show fear against a predator and beside I have faced more scarier and deadlier animals than a Manticore.” He looked at her. “Are we there yet?”
“Yeah, it’s not far.” She took the lead.
They walked a couple of more minute and they finally arrived were he had crash.
“There’s my baby.” He walked over to see how much damage it taken. “It doesn’t look to bad, from the outside.” He then climbed up in the cockpit.
“What are you doing? It may come back to life.”
Falco just rolled his eyes and sat down in seat, he then turned on the power, when the Arwing stared to make noises Applejack back away. Falco just snorted off that.
“What’s the matter? Afraid? Don’t worry, she won’t bite you.”
Applejack just raise an eyebrow of what he said. “She, you call your metal thing she?”
“Of course I do, what do you want me to call her? Pigma Dengar?” He almost gagged of what he said.
Applejack wasn’t sure if he were joking or not but she approached the Arwing were carefully, she touched it with a hoof and it did not attack her.
“See, its harmless. For the most part.” He mumbled that last part.
“What was that?” Applejack asked him.
“Nothing, now jump up.”
Applejack hesitated at bit but eventually she jumped up on the Arwing to see what Falco was doing, she saw that he was fiddling with some buttons and he was talking about something she didn’t understand. ‘He is talking like Twilight right now.’ She thought to herself.
“Let see here, it looks like the G-Diffuser system survived the crash but I have to open her up to get a better look, it looks like my weapons are off line.”
“Weapons? Why do you need that?” She asked him.
“I come from a world that is at war, so I need something to protect myself. It’s kill or be killed and I ratter not die.”
When Applejack heard that she became green in her face. “So, you’re a killer.?” She asked.
“Yes and no.”
“What do you mean yes and no?”
“I only kill those who deserve it, if you think for one second think that I take innocent lives then think again.” He moved his finger to a button. “Please work.” He pressed it and the hole ting stared to move, it surprised Applejack so much that she almost fell of it but luckily Falco caught her before she fell to the ground.
He lifted her into the cockpit and put her in front of him, he closed the roof, then the hole ting stared to move. “It’s alive, it’s alive.” Falco shouted like mad man while Applejack stared to panic.
“What that hay are you doing? Let me out.”
“Relax AJ, I’m just getting the Arwing back to the farm the safe way.” All of sudden the instrument stared to flash red.
“What’s that?” Applejack asked in panic voice.
“Relax, it’s just mean that I can’t fly, only hover.”
He moved the stick on the right and the hole ting stared to move to the right, he then moved the throttle on left side and the Arwing stared to move forward and Applejack stared to panic, again. Falco just rolled his eyes of the sight.
“Would you relax AJ, she isn’t going to hurt you.”
She looked him straight into his eyes. “Are you sure.”
“Yes, I’m sure. Just relax.”
She looked for anything that looked like lie but she found nothing so she manged to relax a bit, she looked out of the cockpit and saw that many animals off the forest staring at the Arwing. Some of the were curious and other tried to scared it away.
“So, this ting can fly?” She asked him.
”Not for the moment, the thruster is damage and don’t know how long it would take me to fix it. I have to see damage first.”
“What will you do when its fix?”
“I’ll will find a way home.”
“Oh.”
Falco could hear the disappointed in her voice but said nothing.
Back on the farm Applebloom stood with her two friends in front of the house, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, trying to convince them that her sister found a giant bird that walked on two legs and they were made of metal.
“Are you sure it wasn’t a dream?” Sweetie Belle asked her. “I mean a bird the walks on two metal legs?”
“I have to agree with Sweetie Belle on this.” Said Scootaloo. “A giant bird? Are you sure you’re okay?” She put a hoof on Applebloom forehead, Applebloom just slapped it away.
“It wasn’t a dream and I’m fine, I’m telling you both…”
The words died in her mouth when they heard a noise coming from the Everfree forest, it sounded like humming. They looked at each other’s and they were confused, then Big Mac came out from the house after hearing the same sound.
“Big Mac, do you know what that sound is?” Applebloom asked her big brother.
“Nope.” Was the answer she got.
The sound was getting stronger and all of sudden a giant metal thing came out from the forest, their eyes widened when they saw it. They were about to run but then they saw Applejack inside the metal monster, waving at them. Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo also saw a blue bird inside the thing. It looked like that it was heading straight towards them but the thing steered towards the barn.
They followed it with their eyes while the metal thing disappeared behind the barn, they just stood there in silence until Applebloom said something.
“I told you two Applejack brought back a giant bird.” She told her friends.
Applebloom then ran after the Arwing while the other just stood there like statues, they eventually followed her. When arrived side of the barn they saw that the metal thing had gained legs, then the top open and Applejack jump out of the thing, then the blue bird jump out of it and Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo saw that the bird actually stood on two legs and they were made of metal.
“Are you sure that thing can fly to space?” Applejack asked Falco.
“Didn’t I just tell you that the thrusters are broken.” He answered her.
“I don’t know what thruster are.”
“Come here I show you.” Falco walked to back off the Arwing and pointed at something that Applejack didn’t know what was. “This is the thruster, it gives the Arwing opportunity to fly.” He walked to a panel and open it. “And by the looks of it it’s going to take me at least three days to fix it, maybe more.” He then noticed two ponies he hasn’t seen before. “How are those two?”
Applejack looked at her sister friends. “That’s my sister friends, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. They are part of the Cutie Marks Crusaders.”
Those words just confused Falco. “I have no idea what that it means and I don’t care, I have work to do.” He walked over to the other end of the Arwing and open another panel, he stuck his arm in there and pulled something. “Shit, the main board that control the weapons is fuck up.”
“Is that bad?” Applejack ask him.
“Considering my weapons don’t work and I’m not sure if I can fix it, yes it’s bad.” He then noticed Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo still staring at him and it was getting bothersome for Falco. “Would you two stop staring at me? It’s creeping me out.”
“What are you?” Sweetie Belle asked him.
‘Why do I fell that I going to get that question a lot today.’ He thought. “My name is Falco Lombardi and if you can’t see what I’m am the you’re pretty stupid, why don’t you two go and play with Applebloom.”
They looked around for their friend. “Where is Applebloom by the way.” Sweetie Belle asked a good question.
All of them stared to look around and saw the she was nowhere to be found, then they heard a voice. ”What does this button do?” All of sudden Falco’s Arwing stared to move, they looked into the cockpit and saw that Applebloom was sitting there. Falco stared to panic, he jumped on the Arwing and mange to hit kill switch. He grabbed Applebloom and lifted her out of the Arwing.
He sat her down on the ground. “What the hell are you think?” He pointed at the Arwing. “That is not a toy, you could have been hurt or you could have hurt someone ells.”
She hung her head. “I’m sorry, I thought I could get my cutie mark in...” She looked at the Arwing. “I’m not sure in what.”
“I don’t know what a cutie mark but don’t go near my Arwing again, ever.”
He jumped back into the cockpit while swearing, Applejack looked at her sister and she was not happy.
“What were you thinking? You could have been hurt or you could have hurt others, so I’m asking an again; what were you thinking?”
“I’m sorry sis, I thought I could get my cutie mark.”
“In what? Stealing?” Applejack stared to rubbed her tempest. “We are going to have a long talk about this later tonight.”
Then Falco stuck his head out of the cockpit. “I got to ask before I go crazy, what’s a cutie mark? Is it that thing tattoo on your butt?” He pointed at Applejack butt.
“It’s not a tattoo, it’s something a pony get when they discover their talent in life.” She answered with a blush on her cheeks.
“Huh, and her I thought this world could get any weirder, I was wrong.” He went back onto the cockpit.
“What are you doing in there by the way?” She asked him.
“I’m trying to get my toolbox that’s behind my seat, it somehow got stuck.” Then they heard a pop and then a bang. “Ouch.”
“What happened?”
Falco jump out of the cockpit. “Don’t worry AJ, I just hit my head when I pulled out my toolbox.” He sat down the toolbox on the ground and open it, he took out something that the ponies had never seen before. It looked like metal stick. “Time to get to work.” But before he could do that.
“Alright, where is that ‘bird’ that hit Pinkie.” Said a new voice.
Meanwhile over the planet a big spaceship was hiding behind moon, it had mark in the side. One monkey was standing in the command center looking down at the planet.
“So, this is where the black hole brought us. Interesting.”
He stared to stroke his jaw, then another monkey come in to command center. He stood by the first monkey and saluted.
“Captain, sir, what are your order?” Said the second monkey.
“What are the status of the ship major?” Asked the Captain.
“We are back at 90%, engine is still begin repaired, we have no shield and we have no weapons.” The major answered.
“What about the drones?”
“They are functional.”
The captain smiled of those words. “Good, then send them to the planet. I want them to scan every being there, we are going to claim this planet in the name of Andross.”
The major saluted again. “Yes sir, you all heard the captain. Send out the drones.”
The monkeys around the command center stared to get to work while the captain looked down on the planet with an evil smile.
“Alright, where is that ‘bird’ that punched Pinkie in the face.” Said a new voice.
“What now?” Asked Falco.
“That would be my friend Rainbow Dash.” Answered Applejack.
Falco couldn’t help but snort. “Rainbow Dash? What kind of name is that? Don’t tell me that this ‘Rainbow Dash’ has rainbow hair.”
Applejack rubbed her neck. “Well.”
He got his answer. Around the corner came four new ponies and one of them had rainbow hair and blue fur and had wings, when Falco saw her hair he had to contain his laughter. There were two unicorns and a another pegasus, when the pegasus with light pink hair and yellow fur saw Falco she flew over to him and gave him a hug. She manged to catch him off guard so he landed on his back with the Pegasus on top of him.
“It’s a giant bird, hey I’m Fluttershy, what your name?”
“My name is Falco and if you don’t get of me I’m going to get very angry, so GET OF ME.”
Fluttershy got of him and ran to hide behind Applejack, Falco got up and brushed of the dust. “This world is crazy.” That was all he got to say before he was tackle again, this time by the other pegasus that he assumed was Rainbow Dash.
“First you punch Pinkie in the face and now you just scared Fluttershy, what is your problem?” Dash asked him.
“I have anger issues, what’s your excuse?” That made Dash even more angry, she lifted her hoof. “Go on, hit me. In front of all this ponies.”
Dash looked around and saw all the worried face, she looked at Falco. “You are lucky that they are here but next time you won’t get so lucky.”
Falco just smiled. “I’m looking forward to it.”
She got off him and walked over to the two unicorns. “Well, this has been entrainment.” Said the purple unicorn. “Mind telling us why you are here Falco?”
He got up the second time. “Not really, since I don’t know who you are.”
“Oh right.” She coughed. “My name is Twilight Sparkle, this is Rarity.” She pointed at the other unicorn. “You have already met Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.”
“Yeah, a real charmer that one.” That just made Rainbow even more angry and Applejack noticed that.
“Mac, why don’t you take Applebloom and her friends inside.”
That did not the CMC like. “What? Why?” Asked Applebloom.
“Because I you tried to steal Falco’s Arwing, now go.”
Mac lead the CMC to the main house and they were not happy, leaving Falco alone with Applejack and her friends. Twilight stepped forward to examine the giant metal bird, she touched it with her hoof.
“So Falco, mind telling us what this thing is and where you came from.”
“This ‘ting’ is a Arwing and I’m not telling you where I’m from, let’s just say I’m not from around here.” He put on some wired glasses, then he turned a knob on his stick and pressed a button and flames came out from the stick. “Now if you would excuse me, I have work to.” He started to weld something on his Arwing.
“Are you ignoring me?” Twilight asked him, he just nodded. “Why? I just want to know where you’re from and more about you and your race.”
He stopped welding, took of the glasses and looked at Twilight. “Listen and listen well ‘princess’, I don’t know who you are and I don’t care. What I care about is fixing my Arwing so I can find a way home so I can help my friends, so the last thing I need is a pony who want to ask me 20 questions.” He took on the glasses again and was about to stared welding again.
“You have friends waiting for you back home?” Twilight asked him.
“Yes, and the les I get interrupted the faster I can get my Arwing fix and get home.”
He went back to fixing his Arwing. Twilight walked over to her friends and motion them to follow here, once they were far enough away so Falco could not hear them Twilight asked her friend.
“So, girls. What do you think about him?”
Rarity was the first to talk. “I think his a brute but, if he is telling the truth about is friends maybe he isn’t so bad after all.”
Twilight nodded in understating while Rainbow couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “Are you serious Rarity? He punched Pinkie in the face and scared Fluttershy, I think we should send a letter to Princess Celestia and have him looked up.”
Those words just got a blank stared from here friends, Twilight spoke.
“That’s not a good enough excuses Rainbow Dash but I’m going to write a letter to the princess, something isn’t right about him.”
That got Applejack attention. “What do mean Twilight.” She asked her friend.
“I don’t trust him yet Applejack, he won’t tell us how he got here, he won’t tell us about his world. I find that rather suspicious.” Twilight answered.
“Well I trust him.” All eyes were on Applejack now. “I been whit him since this morning and yes he might be rude as Rarity would said it but I trust him and don’t think he’s dangerous and one thing is for sure he hasn’t lied to me once.”
“What if he’s lying to you Applejack.” Said Twilight.
“Lying to me? Have you forgotten how I am? I’m am an Apple, I know when others are lying. If you are sending a letter to the princess, then you won’t have my supported.”
She stared to walked back to Falco. “Wait, Applejack.” She didn’t listen to Twilight, she just kept on walking.
“Let her go Twilight, if she wants to stand by that freak then let her.” Said Dash.
“That wasn’t a very nice thing to say about Falco, Dash.” Said Fluttershy.
“Why are you defending him Shy? He yelled at you just a moment ago.” Dash half shouted.
“Well, it was my fault that he yelled at me. I did hug without asking.”
Dash tried to say something but no words came out from her mouth so she gave up, then Twilight clear her throat.
“What do you think about Falco, Rarity?” She asked her friend.
“I think he should get some better clothes, did you see what he was wearing?” That got a blank stare from her friends. “What? You already got my answer so I thought I comment on his clothes.”
There was an awkward silence until Twilight spoke. “Well, I’m going back to the library to write a letter to princess Celestia. She has to know about this.”
She walked to library while her friends went home expect Dash, looked at the barn where Falco was working. Applejack may trust him but she didn’t, she decided to find out why he was here. She took to the sky and found cloud so she could keep an eye on him.
When Applejack arrived back where Falco had park his Arwing she saw that he was lying under it.
“Why are you lying under it?” She asked him.
“The Arwing got some damage when I crashed, lucky it’s nothing major.” He stopped for a moment too looked at AJ and saw that she was acting kind of strange, like she was hiding something. “Let me guess, you’re were discussing if I was dangerous or not.”
She was surprised by that. “How did you know?”
“Oh please, an alien bird with a ‘metal bird’ landing near a town. It’s obvious what you and your friends were talking about, what is going to happened now?”
“Twilight is going to write a letter to princess Celestia and she is going to determine if you are dangerous or not.”
“What about you AJ? Do you think I’m dangerous?”
“No, I don’t think so. If you were dangerous you would have attacked me and my family already.”
Falco just nodded and went back to fixing his Arwing,
“Look, there are some trees that need buking. Are you going be okay alone?” Falco just waved her away. “I take that as yes.” Applejack walked away to do her job.
‘Buking apple trees? Why not.’ He finished of the last damage part and closed the hatch, he got up from the ground and was about to head back to the Arwing to work on the engine when he heard someone approaching. At first, he thought it was AJ but it wasn’t, it was the pink one.
He pointed at her. “You, you’re the one that almost gave me a heart attack this morning. What the hell do you want?”
Pinkie almost ran away when she heard what he said. “Can you let me explain why I did this morning, then you can decide if you want to talk to me or not.” She told him.
Falco could hear that she was honest, that’s for sure. “Alright, you got two minutes. If I don’t like what you said, then you leave. Deal?” She nodded. “Good, your two minutes stared now.”
“When there a new pony in town…” She stopped when she saw what kind of look he was giving her, he was not happy to be called pony. “Or other creatures.” He was a little satisfied. ”I have to throw them a welcome to Ponyville party.”
Falco hold up a hand. “Let me get this right, you NEED to throw a party whenever there’s a new individual in town?” She smiled. “That doesn’t make any sense, what if the person doesn’t want you to throw him or her a party? Do you do against their will?” Pinkie had an innocent smile. “You don’t do that.”
“Why not?”
Falco slapped hand on his face when he heard that question. “Just think for a moment, if you throw them a party against their will how do you think they will react?”
“I don’t know, happy?”
Falco hit his head against the metal of his Arwing. “I’m dealing with a child.” He mumbled to himself, then he looked at her. “Let me ask you this then; why do you throw them a party?”
“That’s easy, so they can make friends.”
“So, you like making friends?” That answer gave him the biggest smile he has ever seen from anyone. “Let’s try again then, do you really think they want to be your friend if you throw them a party against their will? I would never be your friend if you did that to me.”
When Pinkie heard that her smile disappeared, she looked down on the ground. “I never thought about that way.” Then her mood dropped and the colours on her body became darker and it freak Falco out.
Then he thought. ‘What the hell is wrong with this pony, better say something before its gets any worse.’ He took a deep breath. “I’ll think about it.”
She looked up from the ground and at him. “What?”
“I said I’ll think about it, okay? Just stop whatever you are doing. It’s freaking me out.”
Then she smiled again. “Okie dokie lokie.”
Then her mane and fur was normal while Falco just stared at her. ‘What the hell just happened?’ He thought. “Is there something more you want or can I get back to work?”
She thought for a moment. “That right.” She reached her hoof in her saddle bag and brought out a muffin. “Here, I baked this for you.” She presented it to him and he took it. “After what I did this morning I felt really bad for ruining your breakfast so made this muffin to you, I’m also sorry for scaring you like that. I didn’t mean it, I just get so excited when there’s a new pony/creature in Ponyville.”
“Yeah, I got part that already.” He studied the muffin. “It’s not poison in it is there?”
She gasped. “Why would I do that when I’m trying to be your friend?”
‘She got a point there.’ He thought. He studied the muffin some more, then he just shrugged. “What the hell.” He took a bit of the muffin while Pinkie leaned forward so much that she fell on her face, Falco just laugh a little of that. He chewed on it. “Not bad, maybe cut down on the sweet in it the next time. Overall I give it a 7 of a 10.” Pinkie was happy when she heard that, he ate the rest of the muffin. “Anything ells?”
“Yeah, I am really sorry for scaring you this morning.” She told him.
“Just don’t do it again, okay. And I’m sorry for hitting you in the face.”
“Don’t worry about it, I deserved it.”
“No one deserved to get punch in the face, mostly.” He mumbled that last part.
“Huh, by the way I never got your name.”
“It’s Falco Lombardi.”
Pinkie looked at the Arwing, “So, what is this thing? A metal bird?”
‘I’m getting sick of hearing that.‘ Falco thought. “it’s called and Arwing and I arrived in it.”
“You arrived in that?” She pointed at the Arwing. “From where?” Falco pointed at the sky and Pinkie looked up. “You came from the sky?”
“You could say that, I came from another world.”
Pinkie had to laugh when she heard that. “Another world? You can’t be serious.” When she saw Falco’s that he wasn’t joking she stopped laughing. “You ARE serious.”
“Of course, I’m serious how ells can you explain my Arwing?”
She stared to rub her leg. “Magic.”
Falco slapped a hand on his face. “Sure, why not. Now if you would excuse me, I have to fix my Arwing so I can get back to my friends.” He but the glassed back on and went back to welding when someone ells arrived. ‘I’m never gonna get the Arwing fixed.’ He thought. It was Twilight and this time a baby dragon was with her. ‘Of course, they have dragons here.‘
“There you are.”
“Where ells would I be genius.” Twilight could hear sarcasm in his voice.
“Well yes, I just have received a letter from princess Celestia and she would like to meet you in her castle tomorrow in Canterlot.”
Twilight was in shock when she heard what Falco said. “What do you mean? When the princess summons you, you have to come.”
Falco could hear the panic in her voice and he liked it. “I have better things to so then talking to your princess, she’s your princess not mine.”
“But you must go, she is the princess.”
He walked to her and looked her into her eyes. “Now listen because I’m getting tired of saying this, I have to repair my Arwing so I can get home to my friends. For all I know they can be dead, so tell your princess that I have more important things to do.”
He walked back to his Arwing and stared to work on it while Twilight just stood there processing what she just heard.
“But, the princess, you have to.”
Pinkie watch her friend standing there, she felt bad for Twilight by the way Falco treated her. She also felt bad for Falco who just wanted to get home, so she decided to do something about the situation.
“Spike, can you keep Falco company while I talk to Twilight for a moment.”
Spike’s eyes widen when he heard that. “What? Why me?” Before he could get the answer, Pinkie had dragged Twilight away, leaving him alone with Falco. Spike looked at Falco with an innocent smile. “So, how’s is going?” Falco just gave him a blank stare.
Pinkie lead Twilight to the front gate of the farm.
“What are you doing Twilight?”
“Me? I have done nothing, it’s he that is impossible. He doesn’t want to listen to me.”
“What did the princess tell you to do when you moved here to Ponyville?”
“What have that to do with that Falco don’t want to go and visit princess Celestia?” Twilight asked Pinkie.
“Just answer the question Twilight.”
Twilight sighed. “She sent me here to learn about friendship.”
“That’s right, what do you think she would think about you if you force Falco to come with you to Canterlot? All he wants to do is fix his metal bird and go home to his friends, are you going to deny him that?”
Twilight hang her head in shame. “No, I can’t do that. I’m writing a new letter to the princess and ask her if she can come here and talk with him.” That made Pinkie happy, they walked back to Spike and Falco. Well, Twilight walked Pinkie bounce.
Back with Falco and Spike.
“What’s your story kid?” Falco asked Spike.
Spike blinked a few times. “My story? What do mean?”
“Why is a dragon living with a bunch of ponies? Shouldn’t you live with your own kind and your parents?”
“You see, Twilight hatched me when she was younger and I have been with her ever since, I never knew my real parents.” He looked down on the ground as soon he said that last part.
Falco could hear the sadness in his voice. “Sorry to hear that kid, didn’t Twilight tell who your parents are or the better question why haven’t you ask her where your parents are?”
That question surprise Spike, ever since he could talk he had never ask where his parents are. He always thought that Celestia had his egg all the time. Now the question was; where did she get it from. Did she get it from his parents or did she steal it from them? He just stood there thinking.
Falco waved a hand in front of Spike face, Spike didn’t recognise that so he tapped a finger on Spike’s head. That got him back to reality, Spike shook his head.
“You okay kid? You space out a little.”
“Yeah, I’m okay.”
Falco wasn’t convinced, he could hear that it was something wrong. “You sure? You don’t sound okay.” Falco but a hand on Spike’s head.
Spike pushed that hand away. “I said that I’m fine.”
“If you say so.”
Falco went back to his Arwing leaving Spike alone, then Twilight and Pinkie arrived. Twilight walked over to Spike. “Come on Spike, I have to write another letter to princess Celestia.” Spike didn’t answer her. “Spike? Are you okay?” Still no answer, he just stood there. Twilight walked over to him and put a hoof on his shoulder, Spike jump in the air of that. “You okay Spike?”
He nodded. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
“Good, come on. I need to write the princess another letter.”
She stared to walk while Spike looked once more at Falco who was busy with repairing the Arwing, then he followed Twilight leaving Pinkie alone with Falco.
“I have to go back to work.” She was about to go but first she bowed her head. “Again, I’m sorry that I scared the morning.” With that said she ran off leaving Falco alone.
Falco just stared where she had stood. ‘These ponies are crazy.’ He shook his head and went back to work.
The sun was setting and Applejack finally finished todays work and she was walking towards the house with a full wagon with basket with apples strapped on her back, as she saw that Falco was still working on his Arwing.
“Hey, Falco.” He looked away from what he was working on. “Why don’t you take a break from your work and help me these baskets.”
“Sure, I need a break from this anyway.”
Applejack was happy by that and stared to walk towards her apple cella, Falco followed her.
“How’s goes the repairs on your Arwing?” She asked him.
“Slow, I’m not very good at it. Sometimes I wish I had paid more attention what Slippy said.”
“Who’s Slippy? One of your friends?”
He nodded. “Yeah, he may be a nuisance but he’s a good mechanic.”
“Why don’t you ask Twilight for help? She is pretty smart.”
He shook his head. “Hell no, I don’t care how smart she is. I’m not letting anyone near my Arwing.”
“If you say so.”
When they arrived at the cellar, AJ unhooked herself from the wagon and open the double door to the cellar. Falco looked down into it.
“You have cellar for your apples.”
AJ nodded. “Yep, this cellar makes sur that the apples don’t get ruined under the winter.”
“Makes sense, what do you want me to do?”
“Just wait down by the stair while I give you the baskets, then take them down to the cellar.”
Falco did as she said, then AJ went to take the first basket on her back and handed it to Falco. He almost fell into the cellar when the picket the basket full with apples.
“Bloody hell, did you paints rocks to look like apples? Because this is heavy.” He went down with the first basket. ‘Or am I out of shape.’ He thought.
“I did not paint rocks to looks like apples, maybe they are too heavy for you.” She called back with teasing in her voice.
They counited working, AJ gave Falco the baskets and he brought them down. After a while Big Mac came and help them, they manged to get all the apples down before the night came. They went to the house to get some supper. Well inside Falco saw granny Smith working in the kitchen while Applebloom was sitting in the living room reading a book.
“Can I use your shower? I really need one.” Falco asked them.
“Sure, is up the stairs second door on your right.” AJ answer him.
He thanked her and went up the stairs and found bathroom, well inside he saw that the shower was smaller than he expected. ‘This is not going to be easy.’ He thought. He stripped down to his Adam suit and went in, he managed somehow to take a shower, he dried himself, got dressed and went down to the first floor.
He saw that Applejack and the rest of the family was sitting by the kitchen table waiting for him, he sat down on the available chair. Applejack decide to ask him something.
“Do you want me to get the guest room ready for you Falco?”
“Don’t bother, I’ve already set up my tent.”
“You have a tent?”
He nodded. “Yes, I’m prepared for most situations.”
They ate their food in silence, when Falco was finished he headed to the door, he was about to touch the door knob when Applebloom stopped him.
“Mr. Lombardi.”
“Listen Applebloom, if you want to continued talking to me then you better call me Falco. Got it?” She nodded. “Good, what do you want?”
She looked down on the floor kicking the floor with her hoof. “I’m sorry that tried to steal your metal bird, I hope that you’re not mad at me.”
He stared to rube his forehead. “I’m not mad at you but what I don’t understand why you did it, just to get some tattoo on your butt? It doesn’t make any sense.”
“It’s called a cutie mark and it very important for a pony, it’s show a pony special talent.” She actually started to cry. “Me and my friends have tried for months to get ours but nothing works.”
At first he was mad at her but now Falco felt sorry for Applebloom, he bent down to wiped away her tears.
“Look Applebloom, I don’t really understand much of this but do you really want your talent to be stealing?”
She shook her head. “No, but we have tried so much but nothing works. I’m starting to think that we won’t get ours.”
“Hey, look at me.” She did. “One thing I have learn through the years is that you should never give up, you and your friends will get your cutie mark someday. Now if you excuse me, I have some work to do.”
Falco open the door and walked into the night to work on his Arwing while Applebloom walked up stairs to her room, little did they know that Applejack has seen it all. She had watching them for the entrance to the kitchen. She didn’t notice that granny Smith had walked up beside her.
“You like him, don’t you?”
That made Applejack to jump a few centimetres from the floor, she put a hoof on her chest. “Granny, are you trying to give me a heart attack?” She took a few breaths to calm herself down.
Granny just snorted. “You are young you can take it but answer my question, do you like him?”
AJ looked at granny. “Do you mean Falco?” Granny nodded. “We just met granny and besides, as soon he has fix his metal bird he will leave and go home.” She said with some sadness in her voice.
“Then you better tell him before it’s too late.”
“I do not like him.” Applejack said with frustration in her voice.
“You are terrible liar Applejack.”
Said granny Smith while she walked to the living room living Applejack alone with her thought.
‘Do I like him? How can I, I just met him?’ She shook her head. ‘I’m too tired to think about that now, I’m going to bed.’ She headed up to the second floor.
Back on Andross ship the captain was staring at the planet from command center, then the major came up to him.
“Captain, we have the first video from the planet.”
The captain turned his head to looked at the major. “Good, let’s have a look at it.”
Both walked over to the station where another monkey was sitting by a screen with a keyboard. “Show us the recording private.” Said the major. The monkey in question pressed some buttons and an image of a white and black horse with wings and horn appeared on the screen in front of them, it looked like they were standing in a throne room.
“Who are those two major?” Asked the captain.
“As far we can figure out they are the two rulers of the planet.” The major answered.
“There are two rulers on this planet?” Questioned the captain.
“As far as we can tell, yes.”
The captain nodded. ‘That can’t end well.’ He thought. “Play the recording.” He told the monkey and the monkey pressed a button and the recording stared to play.
“I’m telling you Celestia there are something by my moon.” Said the black one.
“While you stop bothering me with issue like that, we have more important issue at hoof. Like that meteorite that landed in the Everfree forest last night.” The one called Celestia answered.
Celestia stared to walked towards the doors and the black one didn't like that.
“Don’t you dare ignore me Celestia.”
“Oh, shut up Luna, like I said I have more important things to do then listen to you and your moon.”
The picture stopped and the captain couldn’t help but smile of what he saw. “It looks like the two rulers are not in agreement.” He looked at the major. “What happened after that?” He asked.
“The one called Celestia return to her room to write something, we don’t what. And the one called Luna also return to her room, as far as we know there still at their rooms.”
The captain nodded. “Good, keep an eye on both of them. I want to know there every move.”
Night had fallen over Applejack farm, Falco had taken apart the ships weapon board to get closer look at it. He was sitting in front of his tent with flashlight strap on his head, he was looking at chip with a magnifying glass.
“This is just great, the main chip is fried. I don’t think I will be able to fix it.” He said to himself. He then looked into the night. “I know your there, I heard you land like ten minutes ago.”
Out of the shadow came a pony that had both wings and a horn on its head and Falco didn’t know what to think about that, one thing was for sure it was female.
“What the hell are you?” He asked the pony.
“My name is Luna and I’m princess of the night.” She answered him.
“Look tuts, I didn’t ask for your name I asked what you are.”
“Oh.” Luna had blush on her face after the mistake. “I’m a alicorn, it’s a combination of all the three pony race in Equestria.”
Falco was not impressed of what she said. “Whatever you say tuts.”
Luna did not like to be called tuts. “My name is Luna not tuts, you better remember that.”
She tried to sound frightening but it did not work on Falco, he has been threatened by far worst by Slippy when he tried to make improvements to Arwing. Slippy had total mental breakdown that day, it was not pretty.
She stepped closer to him. “So, you are what crashed in the Everfree forest last night.”
“Actually, I crashed in my Arwing.” He pointed at the meta bird.
Luna looked the Arwing with curiosity. “You crashed in that?” Falco just nodded, she walked over to the Arwing. “It doesn’t look that Impressive.” She said while studying it.
“That’s because is not turn on right now tuts.”
“Don’t call me that.” She said with anger in her voice.
“Whatever, is there something I can do for you ‘your highness’?”
She could hear the sarcasm in his voice. “Yes, I would like to know if you are dangerous to the ponies of Equestria.”
“Are you asking me if I’m going on killing streak?”
“Not the way I would said it but yes.”
“Nothing like that, unless someone is paying me then I might be considering it.” Luna’s eyes widen when he said that. “That was a joke.”
“It was not FUNNY.”
She shouted that last part a little loud because it knocked Falco on his back.
“Bloody hell.” He sat up and he could see Luna talking but he heard nothing, all he could hear was very high pitched sound. “What did you say?” She stared to talk some more but he heard nothing. He decided to try something, he put his thumb in his mouth and the he blew. He could hear again. ‘Wow, that actually work.’ He thought.
“… and I hope that you remember that, are we clear.”
Luna waited for an answer but it a little difficult for Falco to give on when she made him deaf, so he just winged it.
“Whatever you say tuts.”
She did not like that he called her tuts but she was satisfied with his answer, she was to say something ells but was interrupted by the door to the main house opening and closing. Then Applejack came around the corner.
“Are you okay Falco? I heard somepony shout.” She then saw Luna. “Oh, it’s you Princess Luna. What are you doing here?”
“I’m was here to find out what crashed into the Everfree forest last night, now that I know what it was I’m here to decide if this bird is dangerous or not.”
“My name is Falco Lombardi and the only thing I want to do is to fix my Arwing and get home to my friends, I don’t intend to invade your land.”
Luna looked at Applejack. “Is he telling the truth Applejack?”
“Yes princess, he is telling the truth.”
Luna was satisfied by that. “That’s good to hear element of honesty, now if you both excuse me I have duties in Canterlot.” She took one look at Falco. “I should warn you Falco Lombardi, my sister is coming to see you tomorrow so you better watch that mouth off yours.” She told him.
“I’ll try to keep the in mind.” Was his answer.
Luna nodded and then she spread her wings and took off into the night leaving Falco and Applejack alone. Falco watch where she had flown to, he then shook his head. ‘This world.’ He then looked at AJ who was watching him.
“What?”
She shook her head. “Nothing.” He just shrugged his shoulders, he then went back to the chip. “What are you looking at?” She asked him.
“This is the main chip of the weapon board I showed you, I’m trying to fix it but I don’t think I can. I maybe have to replace it, is there a place in Equestria that sale this stuff?” He asked her.
“I don’t think so.”
He was not happy of the answer he got. “Shit, unless I can find a new one I’m pretty much screw when I get back home.” He stared to pack up the stuff that was lying in front of him. “I better get some sleep, something tells me that I need it if I’m going to survive my integration of Luna’s sister. Good night AJ.” He disappeared into his tent.
“Good night Falco."
Applejack walked walk back to the house with her head hanging low, she wished that she had said something. ‘Granny is right, I like him.’ She thought as she walked in to the front door.
It was the second day for Falco in Equestria, the sun was rising in the horizon and he was sleeping peaceful in his tent that was until an orange pony came over to his tent to wake him up.
“Rise and shine Falco. It’s time to get up on this beautiful day.”
Falco stuck his head out of the tent opening and he was not happy. “What the hell is wrong with you AJ? Do you know what time it is?”
“I sure do, it’s time to get up and have some breakfast.”
He wanted to shout at her for waking him so early but breakfast sounded good. “Fine, you win.”
Applejack was happy when she heard that, she stepped back a little so Falco could get out. When he was out from his tent he wasn’t wearing a shirt so Applejack could see his upper body, he had a six pack and muscles on his arms. Applejack stared to blush when she saw his upper body and she was glad she wasn’t a pegasus.
“Take a picture, it will last longer.”
That got Applejack back to reality. “Sorry, come on and let’s get some breakfast.” She stared to walked back to the house, very fast. Falco couldn’t help but smirk of that, he put on his shirt and followed her.
After breakfast Falco went up to the bathroom to take a shower, after he had done that he waked down the stairs, there stood Applejack and Applebloom waiting for him.
“Can I ask you a favour Falco.”
He became a little nervous of that. “What kind of favour?”
“I was hoping you that you could follow Applebloom to the school today, I would like to do it myself but I don’t have the time.”
“What about your brother?” Falco asked her.
“He is also busy.”
Falco put a hand on his face. “AJ, I can’t just go through to town I may scare half the town and beside I have to fix my Arwing so I can go home.”
“Your metal bird isn’t going anywhere and beside I’m letting you stay on my farm.”
“So, it’s blackmail.” Falco couldn’t help but be impressed with what AJ just did. “Alright, I take your sister to school.”
Applejack was happy by that but not Applebloom. “I still don’t understand why I can’t go there alone.” She mumbled to herself but Applejack heard her.
“Because you are too young, that’s why.”
“I’m twelve years old.”
“That may be true but last time I let you go alone you and your friends skipped school so you could get your cutie marks, Cheerilee was not happy by that.”
Then they stared to arguing and it was giving Falco a headache. “Would you two stop arguing already? Let’s get this over with but If I’m crating a mas panic in town I’m blaming you, got it.” He looked at Applejack.
“I can live with that.”
Said Applejack and then she walked up the stairs to the second floor leaving Falco alone with Applebloom, then an awkward silence came between them. They just looked at each other trying to say something, then Falco stared to walk towards the door.
“Come on Applebloom, let’s get this over with.” She followed him out the door.
They walked in silence towards the town and then thought occurred Falco head. “What’s the name of the town Applebloom?” He asked.
“Ponyville.” Applebloom answered.
Falco couldn’t help but snort when he heard the name. “Seriously? Who came up with that name?”
“Hey, granny Smith was here when the town was build.”
“That old fossil?” Applebloom nodded. “Holly crap, who would have known that.”
When they arrived into town both Applebloom and Falco expected that all the ponies in town would flee in terror but that didn’t happen, instead Falco got weird look as he walked past ponies. The only one that made a scene was three mares that shouted ‘the horror’ and then they passed out on the grounds.
“You okay Falco?” Applebloom asked him.
“Why wouldn’t I?”
“You are getting a lot of looks from ponies.”
“I’m ignoring them, are we close to the school?”
“Yeah, we are close.”
When they arrived at the school Falco saw a building that looked like it was about to fall apart, the color was a mix of light and dark red, purple, white and yellow it was staring to peel off. There was also a giant bell on top that looked like it was about fall down any minute, he also saw a bunch of toys that the children could play on like swings and a pole with two balls that had seen better days.
“Applebloom, is this your school?” She nodded. “It’s a bump, I would never let any children get close to this thing”. He said while pointed at the school.
“It’s been in bad shape for a while but we don’t have any money to fix it.” She said to him.
“Then why haven’t any adults taken the initiative and trying to fix it?” She just shrugged her shoulder. “Can you get to school from her?” She nodded. “Good.” He left.
Falco was walking through Ponyville, he was on his way back to the farm to get his tools. Then he heard something above him, it sounded like wings beats. He looked up and what he saw, he wasn’t sure what he saw. It looked like two pegasus with armour that was dragging a carriage and on the carriage sat a pony that looked like Luna except she had white fur and she had many different colors, they were heading towards him.
The carriage landed a few meters from him and the white pony stepped out from it, one thing was sure the pony as taller than Luna, he noticed a sun on the pony’s butt. ‘This must be Luna sister, I have forgotten her name. Oh well.’ The pony saw Falco and smile, when he saw her smile it somehow made him unease. He didn’t know why.
“So, you’re the bird that crashed down in the Everfree forest last night.” Her voice was so soft it almost made Falco throw up.
“You could say that, who the hell are you?” When the guards heard the way he talked. they gave him an evil look which thought was cute.
“My name is Celestia and I’m the sole ruler of Equestria.”
Now those last words caught Falco attention. “You’re the sole ruler of this land? What about your sister Luna? Is she just for decorations?”
Celestia smiled of his words and her smile made Falco gaged. “My apologize, I have ruled alone for a very long time that sometimes I forget. Now, the reason I’m her.” Her face became death seriously that could scare most ponies but Falco just yawn. “Are you a threat my little ponies?”
“I didn’t hear the last words, my little what?” Said Falco.
“My little ponies.”
“I thought you said that, look. If you want to have an adult conversation then don’t use words like ‘my little ponies’, it sounds like something out of a kids show. Now if you’ll excuse me I have work to do.”
He tried to walk away but Celestia guards landed in front of him blocking the way.
“The princess isn’t finished with you yet creature.” One of the guards tried to say with intimidating voice.
When Falco heard that he smiled and patted the guard on his helmet. “Isn’t that cute, the little guard is trying to be scary. Tell you what, why don’t you go home and practise in front of the mirror because that was pathetic. Like is said I have work to do.” He tried to again but the guards blocked his path, he turned his head to look at Celestia. “If you don’t want these two to end up in hospital you tell them to back the fuck away.”
“Let him go.” Both guards hesitated for a moment but the stepped aside.
“Good call and the answer is no, I have no intention in hurting the ponies in this town. All I want to do is to fix my ship and go home.”
After he said that he stared to walked towards Applejack’s farm leaving Celestia alone with her guards. “I want you two to follow him and find out what his up to, but don’t let him see you. I’m going to talk to Twilight Sparkle.” Both guards salute and flew after him while Celestia headed towards the library.
Back on the farm Applejack was busy stacking hay bales in barn, she tossed the last one on top of the others. She wiped away some from sweat from her forehead. “There, finished.” She was about to walk out from the barn when Falco walked past and it looked like he was in a hurry, she walked after him.
When she arrived where he had parked his Arwing she saw that he was in the cockpit. “Hey Falco, did you have any problems escorting Applebloom to school?” She asked.
“Not really.” He jumped down from the cockpit and he has his toolbox with him. “I did ran into your princess on my way here.”
“You talk to princess Luna?”
“The other one.”
That got Applejack’s eyes to widen. “You talk to princess Celestia?” He nodded. “You didn’t say anything that offended her, did you?”
“Not really but I think she thinks I’m dangerous.”
That confused Applejack. “Did she say that you were dangerous?”
“No, but considering that her two pegasus guards are following me and your friend Skittles have been following me since yesterday.”
Now she was really confused. “What do mean? They are following you, how?”
“AJ, look up and tell me what you see.”
She looked up. “What I see is a few clouds and the sun is shining.”
“Look closer at the clouds.”
She did and then she saw one of them moving and then she saw a rainbow tail on the other, when she saw that she became furious. She couldn’t believe that Dash would spy on Falco.
“What the hay Rain…” She was cut off by Falco putting a hand on her mouth.
“Don’t let her know that you have seen her, let Skittles and Celestia guards have their fun.”
Now Applejack was confused, again. “Why? Why are you letting them follow you?”
“If they think that I’m dangerous then I say let them follow me. Now, I’m going to the school to and fix the swings and you are going to help me. I want you to go and buy some paint so I can paint the school, can you do that?”
Applejack looked at Falco to see if he was serious or not and he was serious. “Sure, I can go and by some paint.”
Falco was happy by that answer. “Good, I’m guessing you know what color you need.” She nodded. “That’s good, while you are buying paint I’m going to find a unicorn.”
“Why don’t you ask Twilight.” Applejack ask him
“She is probably busy talking with Celestia.”
“Why are she talking to Twilight?”
“Probably to talk about me look, I’m going to find a unicorn while you buy paint, got it?” She nodded. “Good, see you at the school and don’t forget paintbrushes.”
Meanwhile at the library Celestia was sitting on the couch in the main room waiting for Twilight to bring her tee, normally it was Spike who made tee but ever since yesterday he has been distant. Twilight has tried to talking with him but he hasn’t said anything. Eventually Twilight came out from the kitchen with the tee holding it in her magic.
“I’m so sorry princess, usually is it Spike that makes tee.” She put the tee on the table.
“That’s okay Twilight, where’s is Spike the by way.”
Twilight looked at the second floor. “He has looked himself up in the guest room, ever since we got back from Applejack’s farm he has been acting strange. I don’t know what’s bothering him.”
Celestia wonder if Falco had something to do with Spike’s mood, she levitated a cup and drank from it. “This is a good tee.” Twilight smiled with pride. “Now, the reason I’m her. Falco Lombardi, I believe was the name you wrote down in the letter.” Twilight nodded. “What can you tell me about him.”
“Not much I’m afraid, he hasn’t said much only that he wants to repair his metal bird which he calls Arwing.”
This intrigued Celestia. “And what is his intension with this ‘Arwing’ when it’s repair.” She asked her student, she knew that answer but she wanted to hear it from Twilight.
“He said that he wanted to go home to his friends, I’m not sure if I believe him. I get the feeling that he isn’t telling the truth, even if Applejack believe him.”
“Ah yes, the element of honesty. She thinks he’s telling the truth while you think that he’s hiding something, am I correct?” Twilight nodded.
Celestia was about to answer when they heard a door open and close, then they heard footsteps and down the stairs came Spike. It looked like he hasn’t slept all night.
“Hey Spike, how are you feeling?” Twilight asked him.
He didn’t answer her, instead he went straight to Celestia. “Where did you get me?”
Celestia blink a couple of times. “What do you mean my dear Spike?”
“I said where did you get me? Where did you get my egg all those years ago? I want to know.”
Celestia stood up. “I have to go.”
She walked towards the door leaving Spike heartbroken while Twilight was just confused, he turned around to face Twilight.
“Twilight, do you know where Celestia got my egg?”
She shook her head. “No Spike, she never said anything and I never asked her. Where did this come from? You have never asked about where she got your egg before, why now?”
He looked down on the floor. “Yesterday when you and Pinkie went for a talk, Falco ask me where you got my egg so I thought that I would ask princess Celestia when she came here, but she just walk out and said nothing. I want to know where she got my egg and maybe where my parents are.” Then tears stared to dropped the floor. “I just want to know.” He said with sadness in his voice.
Twilight put a hoof on his shoulder. “I’m sorry Spike but I don’t think you should listen to Falco.”
Spike pushed away her hoof. “And why not? It looks like he is the only one who are telling the truth, you don’t know and Celestia won’t say anything. Just leave me alone.”
He walked back up stair to the guest room, leaving Twilight alone and feeling bad. So, she decided to help Spike by asking Celestia herself. She ran after her.
Falco walked through town looking for a unicorn, he thought about asking the white one he meet yesterday but something told him that she would complain the hole time. Then he saw a unicorn with two different blue color in her hair, she had white fur. But what stood out the most was that she had shades and headphones but he couldn’t see where the music come from, she was walking down the street while nodding her head to what Falco assumed was music. He walked over to her.
“Yo, unicorn with the weird hair.” She didn’t hear him, she just kept going. “Hey, I’m taking to you.” He still got no answer from the unicorn so he decided to step on the unicorn’s tail.
That made her feel on her stomach, she looked for the culprit ad she was not happy. “Hey, what’s the big idea? Do you have a…” Her voice died in her mouth when she saw who it was. “Holly Celestia, Pinkie wasn’t joking. There’s a bird with metal legs in town.”
Falco crossed his arms. “Yes, that’s me and it’s so nice to ignore others.”
“Sorry dud, but when I listen to music I kind of zone out. Now, what’s pointed you stepping on my tail?” She asked him.
“You are a unicorn, right?”
“What gave it away? My horn?” She said with sarcasm in her voice.
“Pretty much, look I need help your help. I’m going to fix the swings at the school and I need a unicorn to hold it up.”
“The swings looked fine the last time I saw them.”
Falco groaned. “Fine, don’t help me I’ll do it myself.” He stared to walk towards the school. “Unbelievable.”
He didn’t get very far. “Wait a minute.” The white unicorn came up beside him. “I didn’t say that I wouldn’t help, if swings are in bad shape then count me in.” Falco smiled of that. “What’s your name by the way?” She asked him.
“It’s Falco Lombardi.”
“That’s a cool name, my name is Vinyl Scratch but I’m also known as DJ PON-3. You may have heard of me.”
“Look Scratch, this is just my second day in this crazy place so no, I haven’t heard of you.”
When they arrived at the school yard they went right to swigs, Vinyl walked over to it and inspected the swings. “I don’t know dud, they look fine to me.” Falco walked over to them and flicked them, as soon he did that the swings snapped in half. “I take that back, they are not fine. What do you want me to do?”
“Just lift it up with your magic so I can weld it back together.”
“Sure, I can do that.” Her horn stared to glow white and the swings stared to levitate.
“Nice, now bring the part that broke closer together.” She did as he said, Falco found his welding equipment and got to work.
While he was working, Vinyl stared to get restless. “Dud, are finished soon?”
“Do you have date or something?”
Vinyl tolled her eyes of the answer she got. “No, I’m just not used to standing still without music. I need to listen to music.”
“Right now, you have to stand still without music remember, patience is a virtue.”
Inside the school house was young colt by the name of Button Mash sitting by his desk listing to Cheerilee talk, he was actually resting his head in his hoof and staring outside the window. ‘I’m so bored, when is this day going to end?’ He then looked in the direction of the swings and what he saw made his eyes go wide.
Out on the playground he saw a giant blue bird that was standing on two metal legs working on the swings, he also saw a unicorn he recognises as Vinyl Scratch holding the swings up with her magic. He turned his attention to Cheerilee.
“Miss Cheerilee, there’s a giant bird in the playgrounds.”
Cheerilee looked up from the book she was reading, she looked at Button. “Button Mash, how many time must I tell you not to make thing up. There’s no giant bird in the playgrounds and Nightmare Moon isn’t trying to steal your lunch.” The rest of the children laugh at the last part. “Now keep quiet and listen.”
“But… I…”
Cheerilee couldn’t help but groan, she got up from her chair and walk to him. “I will prove to you that there is no giant bird at the playground.” She looked out the window. “See there are a giant bird that’s fixing the swing? What the…?”
Cheerilee couldn’t believe what see saw, what Button had said was true. Out in the playground stood a giant blue bird the was standing on two metal legs and he was doing something to the swings, she also saw Vinyl Scratch.
Her words also got the rest of the children curios, the all ran to the windows to see if Button was telling the truth. All of their eyes widen when they saw that he was telling the truth, all of them became a little scared afraid of the bird except the CMC.
“Huh, what’s Falco doing her?” Said Applebloom.
“Do you know that ‘bird’ Applebloom?” Cheerilee asked without taking her eyes of Falco.
“Yeah, His name is Falco Lombardi and he was the meteor that crash in the Everfree forest two nights ago. His been living on our farm trying to fix his metal bird but he calls it Arwing, whatever that is.”
Cheerilee wasn’t sure if she believed Applebloom or not but she wasn’t going to let an alien bird roam around the school yard, she headed towards the door.
“Stay her children, I’m going to talk to this Falco character.”
They saw Cheerilee disappear out the door, then they looked out the window again to see what’s going to happened.
Vinyl had decided to sit on the ground instead of standing, she let out a yawn. ‘Man, this is boring.’ She then heard someone coming, she looked over her shoulder and saw Cheerilee approaching. ‘This should be fun.’ Cheerilee walked right up to the two them. “What’s up Cheerilee.”
“Hello Vinyl, I’m glad to see that you’re doing something ells then walking around the town listing to music all day.”
Vinyl just shrugged. “I was bored and Falco here need help so, I’m helping.”
Cheerilee looked over to Falco who was busying welding the swings, she cleared her throat but that didn’t help, he just kept on working. “Excuse me, Falco Lombardi.” That got him to stop.
He looked at the new pony. “Who are you and how do you know my name?”
“My name is Cheerilee and I’m the teacher at this school and I was wondering what are you doing her. When it comes to your name, Applebloom told me your name.”
“What does it look I’m doing, I’m fixing the swings. The swings just broke when I just touched them, Vinyl can confirm it.”
Cheerilee look over to the unicorn who just nodded. “Well, this is very kind of but I would like that you told me before you came here.”
“Yeah right, you would have probably told the kids to run and hide when you saw me. It was better this way.” He went back to work.
“You have a pointed there, are you done soon?” She asked him.
“Almost.” He put on the finishing touch. “There.” He put away the things he just. “You can let it go now Vinyl.” She did as he said and stopped using her magic, when she did the hole swing stared to sway a little. Falco touched it with his finger and it didn’t fall down. “I don’t know how long it will last but I would by a new one.” He told Cheerilee.
“That’s good and all but we don’t have money to buy a new one.” Cheerilee told him.
“Why don’t ask Celestia.”
“We did, two months ago.” That shocked Falco and Vinyl. “We send her a letter but we haven’t got an answer yet.”
“Did you just say two months?” Falco ask, Cheerilee just nodded. “Don’t you think that is a little weird that it has taken so long?”
She stared to rubbed her chin. “When you mention it, yes. But I’m sure she has good reason.”
Falco shook his head. ‘it’s sounds like she doesn’t care.’ He then stared to look around. “Where the hell is AJ with the paint cans.”
As soon he said that he saw her walking towards the school with a wagon and on the wagon, was paint cans, he walked over to her. He jumped over the fence as approach the school.
“Took you long enough.”
“Sorry about that, I had to go home and get the wagon so I could carry them all.” He stared to study them all. “Don’t worry, I got right colors.” He gave her smile that made her blush.
“What’s all this.”
They saw that Cheerilee and Vinyl come towards them. “What does it look like, I got AJ to paint so we could we could give the school house a new paint.” He pointed at building. “Have you seen it? The paint is falling off.”
“it’s have seen better days.” Cheerilee nodded. “Alright, you can give the school house new painting. Just let me get the children out from it so they can help.”
She walked towards the school house to get them and Applejack followed her, Falco looked at Vinyl who was just standing there.
“What about you? Are you going to help?”
Shrugged her shoulder. “I got no better things to, I’ll help.” Vinyl walked after Applejack.
Falco was about to follow her but the he thought about something that’s been bugging him. “Wait a minute Vinyl.” He ran after her. “How could you listen to music? The only thing I could see was your headphones, where did the music come from?”
“I put the music inside the headphones.”
“Let me guess, you did it with magic.” Vinyl just smile. ‘I hate this place.’
When they arrived at school house Cheerilee had gadder the children in front of the building, the children look at Falco with curiosity in their eyes, expected Applebloom and her friends. Then a unicorn filly with a tiara walked up to him.
“What kind of hideous creature are you?” She asked him.
“I don’t know, have you seen yourself in the mirror lately?”
The filly mouth feel to the ground while the other children stared to laugh of what Falco said, now she was furious.
“My name is Diamond Tiara and my father is the most power full pony in Ponyville so you better respect me creature.”
He bent down to get a closer look at her. “Let me guess, your daddy’s little girl and whenever you get in trouble you just run to your daddy and make up something and he believes you. Go ahead, run to your father and tell him whatever you want, I’m not afraid of him or anyone ells.” He flicked away the tiara on her head. “And by the way, you look like fool wearing that.”
He got up and walk over to Applejack leaving Diamond speechless, she tried to say something but no words came out. She picked up her tiara, put it on her head and walked over to Cheerilee and the other children. Cheerilee looked at Falco and she was in shook, she couldn’t believe that someone talk her students like that.
She walked over to him. “Excuse me Mr. Lombardi, was it really necessary to say that to Diamond Tiara?”
Falco was just studding the paint cans. “Look Cheerilee, I understand that you care for your students and I respect that but I don’t like bullies and something told that Diamond Tiara was one. So, I have her a taste of her own medicine, it was that or I beat her up. And I don’t hit children’s.” He picked up a screw driver from his tool books and open the lid on one of the pain cans. “Now if you would excuse me, I have a school building to paint.” He took a paint brush and stared to work, so did the others.
High above them on a couple of clouds was Rainbow Dash and Celestia’s guards, looking down on them. One of the guard looked over to the other.
“It doesn’t seem that this this bird have evil intentions, what do you think?”
“Doesn’t look like it, let’s report back to princess Celestia.” Said the other guard.
Dash saw as the two guard took off and headed towards town, she looked down at Falco with narrowed eyes. ‘I don’t know what is planning but I will find out.’ She thought as she watched him. Then all of sudden he looked up at her and gave her a little wave, she hid her upper body. ‘How that hay did I see me? Does he know that I’m? Impossible.’ She carefully looked over the cloud to keep watching him.
Celestia was walking through Ponyville in search of Falco Lombardi or her guards and Twilight was walking beside her, asking about where she had found Spike’s egg. She loved her student but even Celestia had her limits.
“I don’t understand why don’t tell Spike where you got his egg Princess Celestia, don’t he have a right to know?”
“Whatever Spike has the right to know as nothing to with it Twilight Sparkle, it’s was best for Spike.”
Twilight was about to ask again but two pegasus guards landed in front of them, they bowed to Celestia.
“What did you find out about Falco Lombardi?” She asked her guards.
They both got up and looked at each other’s, then one of them spoke.
“We didn’t find out anything wrong with him, right now he’s at the local school and he’s about to paint the school house with some new paint.” The other guard nodded in agreement.
Celestia looked into their eyes. “Are you two lying to me?” They both shook their heads in fear. “I guess I have to see it for myself.” She walked past them and headed to the school, Twilight followed her out of curiosity while the two guards just stood there like statues.
When they arrived at the school they saw that the two guards were telling the truth, they were paint the school. Falco was sitting on top of the school fixing the roof while Applejack, Cheerilee and Vinyl with the school kids was actual painting the school. Twilight also saw Applebloom sitting on the roof with Falco helping him with the roof, she was holding a hammer between her hoofs. Twilight couldn’t believe what she saw, when she first met Falco he was rub and had a big mouth but right now, she didn’t know what to believe.
Falco stopped what he was doing to wipe away some sweat, he then noticed Celestia and Twilight. He gave them a salute.
“Where’s you two lap dogs Celestia? Did you get sick of them and threw them away?”
Applejack looked up at him. “What are you talking about Falco?” She asked him, he just pointed at Celestia and when Applejack saw the princess her eyes widen. “You can’t talk that to the princess like that, she is the ruler of Equestria.”
Falco looked down on her. “Is she? What about Luna?” Applejack was about to answer but Falco cut her off. “Just forget it AJ and focus on what you are doing.” He went back to repairing the roof.
Celestia turned around. “Followed me back to my carriage Twilight Sparkle.” Twilight hesitated a little but she followed her teacher.
Falco watch as those two left the school yard, he just shook his head. He looked over to Applebloom who was busy with hitting a nail, she had big smile on her face.
“Having fun Applebloom?” He asked her.
She put down the hammer and wiped away some sweat from her forehead. “For some reason, Yes. I don’t understand why.”
“That’s good, take a look at your butt.”
Applebloom was confused. “My butt.” She did that and what she saw made her eyes go wide, on her but was a cutie mark. It was an apple with hammer and nail that looked like cross. “Is that my…?” She couldn’t finish her own sentence.
“Your cutie mark? Yep, I saw it appeared like five minutes ago. I’m surprised that you did notice before.”
Then Applebloom stared to jump up and down. “I got my cutie mark.”
Then she stepped on the ledge of the roof and lost her foot stepped and stared to feel to the ground, Falco manged to react fast enough to catch her but she was heavier than he expected and he feel with her. They landed on the ground with a thump, Applebloom was on top on Falco.
Applejack came around the corner. “Applebloom, Falco, are you two okay?” She asked them.
Applebloom rubbed her head. “Yeah, I think I’m okay.” She then looked down at Falco. “You okay Falco?”
“Considering that I have a pony on my stomach, I feel fine.”
“Oh, sorry.” Applebloom got of him.
“You are a loot heavier than I remember.” He told her.
Applejack walked over to her sister and she was furious. “What were you thinking? You can’t just jump up and down on a roof, even if you got your cutie mark.”
Applebloom hang her head. “I’m sorry sis, I was just so happy when I got mine that I forgot where I was at the moment.”
“Just be more careful for now on.” Applejack looked at Falco who was still lying on his back. “You okay Falco?”
“Considering I just have a pony fell on, I feel great.”
Celestia had arrived back at her chariot and she saw that her guards were ready to take her back to Canterlot, she was about to get on the chariot when Twilight came up her.
“Princess Celestia, are you leaving?”
“Yes my student, I must speak with my sister when it comes to Falco Lombardi and I want you and your friends to do something for me.”
“Anything princess.” Twilight said with enthusiasm in her voice and a big smile.
Celestia smiled at her student. “I want you and your friends to keep an eye on Falco Lombardi.”
Twilight smiled disappeared. “But, why? Do you think he is dangerous?”
Celestia shook her. “No, I don’t believe that but I think he’s hiding something and I want you and your friends to find out what. Can you do that for Twilight?”
Right now Twilight didn’t know what to think, when she first met Falco she thought that he was hiding something but after what she saw at the school, could the princess be right? Is he hiding something? She didn’t want to disappoint the princess.
“Okay princess Celestia, I tell my friends to keep an eye on him but, I don’t want to force them to do it.”
“That’s good Twilight, if you will excuse me. I must return to Canterlot.”
She got on her chariot and her guards flew towards Canterlot leaving Twilight alone, Twilight watch as her mentor disappeared into the sky. She walked back to the library to prepare for the next day. One thing was sure, she did not look forward the conversation with her friends.
Evening had arrived in Equestria and Applejack, Applebloom and Falco was walking towards the farm. Ever since Applebloom had gotten her cutie mark she had jump up and down nonstop, when she had showed it her friends they were happy for her and a little jealous, especially Scootaloo.
Falco just looked at the happy pony as she was in front of him and Applejack. “She has been like this ever since she got her cutie mare, is it really that important to a pony?” He looked at Applejack for an answer.
“Yep, it shows our talent.”
Falco nodded. “Huh, let’s hope that she doesn’t forget it.”
When they arrived back at the farm Applebloom ran straight in the house to tell Mac and granny Smith while Applejack went into the barn to park her wagon, Falco walked to his Arwing. He stared to work on the engine while it was still light outside, Applejack walked outside and felt the wind in her fur, she then walked over to Falco to see him work.
She just sat there watching him. ‘Come on AJ, just ask him.’
‘I can’t, as soon as he has fix his Arwing he will be going home and I will never see him again.’
‘That’s true but if don’t ask him you will probably regret it for the rest of your life.’
“Five bucks for your thoughts AJ.”
Falco’s voice got her back to reality, she blinked a couple of times. “What?”
“I said; five bucks for your thought.”
She cocked her head. “What’s bucks?” She asked him.
“Bucks are the currency we use in my world, I would have just your currency but I don’t know what it is.”
“Okay, our currency is called bits.”
“Bits, not bad. So, what’s on your mind.”
Applejack took a deep breath. “I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me tomorrow.”
Falco stopped what he was doing and looked her with confused look. “Are you asking me out on a date?” Applejack nodded. “You now that as soon as I got my Arwing repaired I’m going home.”
“I know that but if I didn’t ask you granny Smith would probably torment me for the rest of my life.”
Falco could not help but question her logic. “Your life? AJ, there’s a big chance that she is going to die before you.”
“I’m full aware of that but something tells me that she would come back and haunt me about not asking you, do you want to?”
Falco scratched his head. “I don’t know AJ, do ponies date other species?”
“It is uncommon but I have heard that some ponies even date griffins, you know what. This was a bad idea, forget that I asked.” She turned around and stared to walk away.
Now Falco felt bad for her, even she knew that it would break her heart she still decide to ask him. He might be a jerk but he has a heart.
“Wait a minute AJ.” She stopped and turned around. “We can go on a date, AFTER I have teste the engine tomorrow. Deal?”
Applejack was now happy. “Deal, thank you.”
She was about to hug him but he held up hand to stopped her. “If you want that date with me then no hugs, alright.”
She rubbed her neck. “Sorry, I got a little carried away. When do you think, your will be finished testing the engine?”
He shrugged his shoulders. “Don’t know but I will try and stared at early as I can, just so you know I have no idea how long it will take.”
“That’s okay, see you tomorrow then.” She walked back into the house with a smile on her face.
“I have a date with a pony tomorrow, now I really don’t hope that Cat find out.” Falco just shook his head.
Above them a certain rainbow coloured pegasus was listing and she could not believe what she just heard. ‘What the hay is Applejack thinking? She can’t go out on a date with that freak, I got to tell Twilight.’ She jumped off her cloud and flew towards the library.
Twilight just sat on the cough in main hall of the library just staring at her books. ‘Should I really do what the princess told me? She thinks that Falco is hiding something and I did that too but now I’m not sure anymore, he did repair that school but he had help. Is he planning something?’ She put both hoofs on her head. ‘I don’t know what to think anymore.’ Then she heard a crash on her door.
“That hurt, why did you looked the door Twilight?” Rainbow asked her.
“I need some time to think alone Rainbow, come back tomorrow.”
Then Rainbow stared to knock on the door. “This is important, open the door Twilight.”
Twilight sighed, she got of the cough and walked over to the door. She opened it. “What is it?” She asked her friend.
“Applejack is going on a date with Falco tomorrow.”
Twilight just gave her a blank stare. “That’s it? That’s what’s important? Look Dash, if Applejack wants to go on date with Falco then I’m not going to stop her. Can you please leave me alone? Come back tomorrow.” Twilight slammed the door in Dash’s face.
Dash just huffed. “Fine, I’ll come back tomorrow.” She flew home.
Back on the farm Falco had just finished up repaired for today, he was in his cockpit pressing some buttons on the control pane.
“When are you going to show yourself Luna? I know that you are there, I heard you land like five minutes ago.”
Luna stepped out from the shadow. “Are you enjoying yourself?”
Falco smiled a bit. “A little, what can I do for you today tuts?”
She frowned when she heard what he called her. “I heard that you had a talk with my sister early today.”
Falco just snored. “A real charmer that one, did you know that she is the sole ruler of Equestria?”
That got Luna attention. “What? Did you say sole ruler of Equestria?” Falco Nodded. “But, me and my sister are supposed to rule together.” She said with confusion in her voice.
“Well, she introduced herself as the sole ruler of Equestria. You tell me.”
“I have to have a talk with my sister tomorrow but now for the real reason I’m here, this ‘Arwing’. Can it fly into space?” She asked the bird.
“Not for the moment, I’m not sure if I have fix the engine yet and even I got them working there something in the atmosphere that’s messing with my instruments. Why do you ask?”
Luna sighed. “My sister doesn’t believe me but there’s something that’s hiding behind the moon, I want to know what so I came to you. I want you to find out what.”
Falco wasn’t sure if he should believe her or not. “Are you sure and how do you know there’s something behind the moon?”
“I am the princess of the night, I know.” She said with some pride in her voice.
Falco couldn’t help but roll his eyes. “As I said before; I’m not sure if I have fix the engine yet, I’m going to take the Arwing out for a test run tomorrow. I will know better then, come back tomorrow night.”
She nodded. “Very well, I will come back tomorrow. After I had chat with my sister.” She spread her wings and flew into the night.
'Now that’s a conversation I would like to see.’ Falco thought while he saw Luna disappeared.
Meanwhile behind the moon.
The captain monkey was standing in the command center looking down on the planet. ‘It won’t be long now until this planet belongs to Andross.’ Then another monkey came up to him and saluted.
“Sir, we have confirmation that one of the Star Fox team is also in the planet.”
“Show me.” The monkey handed the captain a picture showing an Arwing and Falco working on it. “Star Fox, what is the status of his Arwing?”
“As far as we can tell he’s is trying to get it reaper.”
The captain nodded. “What about the two rules of this planet?” He asked the monkey.
“They are still arguing and the one called Celestia went to the town where the Star Fox member was, the only thing they did was talk.”
“Very well, keep a monitor the two rulers and the Star Fox member.” He told the monkey.
“Yes sir but, shouldn’t we eliminate the Star Fox member? As long as he’s alive he poses a threat to us.”
“We are not going to eliminate him just yet, we are going to use him when we invade the planet. Is that understood?”
The monkey saluted. “Yes sir.” He went back to his post.
The captain went back to looking down at the planet, then he stared to laugh so evil that the rest of the monkeys in the command center became afraid.
Falco was up early the next day to see if he manged to repaired his Arwing, he was doing some last minute welding to the engine when Spike approached him bag on his back.
“Hey Falco.”
Falco stopped what he was doing to look at Spike. “Hey kid, how are you doing today?”
“Good, I’m doing good. Listen, can I ask you a favour?”
Falco closed the hatch where he was working. “What is it?”
Spike took a big breath. “I was hoping you could take me the valley of the dragons.”
“Valley of the dragons?” Spike nodded. “As in there’s a valley full of dragons? Why do you want to go there?”
Spike looked down on the ground. “Yesterday when Celestia was in town to talk to you she visited the library after that so I ask her where she got my egg but she didn’t answer me, she just left the library before she answer me.” Spike looked up at Falco with tears in his eyes. “I just want to know who my parents are, is that too much to ask?”
Falco walked over to Spike and wiped away his tears. “No, it isn’t.” Falco looked at the crying dragon and he felt bad for him. “Alright kid, I’ll take you the valley of the dragons.”
“Really?” Falco nodded, that got a big smile on Spike. He gave Falco a big hug. “Thank you.”
Falco patted Spike on the head, that made Spike hug him even more. “Alright already.” He pushed Spike of him. “Let’s just get on our away already.” He lifted Spike up in the Arwing and climbed in.
He sat down in the cockpit and pushed a button and the roof closed, spike was in front looking at the buttons. “Hey kid, hop in the back.” Spike did as he said. “Do you have a map? So, I now where I’m going?” He asked while taking place in the cockpit.
Spike took off his bag and took out a map, he gave it to Falco. “Here.”
Falco took it and looked at it.
“What the hell? How am I going to find this place with the help of this?”
“Is not a good map?” Spike asked Falco.
“Good map? It looks like a kid made it.” Falco sighed. “Never mind, let’s see what we got here.” He studied the map even more. “It looks like we have to travel north/east from here, get ready kid.” He handed the map back to Spike and stared to pushed some buttons, then his Arwing stared to move.
Spike stared to get very nervous and Falco notice that. “Are you sure this is safe?” Spike asked Falco.
“Don’t worry, it won’t explode.” He looked at control panel. ‘I hope.’ Falco brought the Arwing higher and higher. “Better brace yourself kid.” Spike did as he said, then Falco bushed the throttle. The Arwing accelerated so fast that Spike fell on his back.
Falco had big smile on his face while Spike was lying in his back with stars in his eyes. “It’s feels good to fly again.” He looked back at Spike. “You okay there kid?”
Spike sat up and shook his head. “I think so, I wasn’t expecting that acceleration.” Then all of sudden the instrument on the dash board stared to flash red. “What’s happening?” Spike asked in a panic voice.
“Relax kid, it only means that I can’t push the engine to hard. I guess I have some work to do.”
Spike relax when he heard that. “Oh, I’m going to read some comics until we get there.” He sat down and took off his bag and took out a comic book and stared to read.
Falco became curious of what Spike was reading so he took a look, he saw a comic and it read…
“Power ponies? Serious? What kind of name is that?”
Spike looked up from the comic. “What’s wrong with the Power ponies?”
“It sounds like something a kid made and what kind of name is Power ponies?” Falco just shrugged his shoulders. “Whatever, if you like it kid then I’m not going to stop you.”
Spike went back to his comic while Falco focus on what was in front of the Arwing, making sure that they didn’t crash into something. After a while Spike had finished reading the comic books had brought and now he was bored, he was looking out from the cockpit watching the landscape passing by. He let out a big sigh.
“Are you bored kid?” Falco asked Spike.
“Yeah, this trip took longer than then I expected. How long have as it been since we left?”
“About an hour, I think. I didn’t look at the clock when we left.”
“Oh, how long until we will arrive then?”
Falco shrugged. “I have no idea, one hour maybe two or longer. Look kid, that map didn’t help me very much okay.”
“Sorry.” Spike looked out the cockpit again, he was bored out of his mind. He looked back at Falco. “Hey Falco, do you have any interesting stories?”
Falco looked back at Spike. “You want me to tell you a story?” Spike nodded. “I don’t know kid, they might not be suitable for a kid of your age.”
“Come on, I’m bored. I have read all my comics, there has to be one?”
Falco thought about it, was there a story he could tell. “Well, there was this one time me and my team fought giant insects.”
Now, that got Spike’s attention. “You fought giant insects? Cool.”
Falco smiled when he heard Spike enthusiasm. “It all stared that Andross nephew declared war against the Corneria army…”
Meanwhile in Ponyville.
Twilight had gathered her friend in the library to talk about what Celestia ask the other day, she was walking around the main room waiting for Applejack who had yet to appeared. Her friends expect Dash who was sitting in a corner with her hoofs crossed over her chest, she was in a bad mood because Falco had disappeared before she got to the farm. The others was watching Twilight walked around.
“Twilight dear, what’s wrong? Why are you passing around like this?” Rarity ask her friends.
“Sorry Rarity, I just want Applejack to get her so we can get this over with.”
As soon as she said that Applejack walked into the library. “Alright Twilight, I’m here. What’s so important?”
Twilight took a deep breath. “It’s no easy way for me to say this so I’m going to tell it like it is, princess Celestia asked me yesterday if we could spy on Falco Lombardi. She thinks that he’s hiding something and to be honest I also think so.”
Her friends looked at each other, they weren’t sure if they heard right. Rarity stepped forward.
“Let me get this straight, princess Celestia, your mentor want us to spy on Falco?” Twilight nodded. “The Falco who yesterday repaired the swings at school and also repaired the roof at the school building, that Falco?”
Twilight nodded again. “Yes, look. I’m not forcing you to do it but the princess told me to do and I’m not about to disobey her, you all can chose if you want to do it or not.”
She looked at her friends hopping that someone would help her.
“I’m not doing it.” They all looked at Applejack. “He’s been on my farm for three days now and I don’t believe that he’s hiding something.” She turned around and stared to walk to the door. “Why don’t you ask Dash on what he’s been up to, she’s been spying on him since he got her.” With that she was gone.
Twilight looked at Dash. “That’s right, I have been spying on him and I also think that’s he’s planning something. I don’t know what but I’m going to find out.” She flew out the door before Twilight could ask her.
Twilight looked at the rest of her friends.
Fluttershy. “I’m sorry Twilight but I don’t think I can do it, he may be scary but I don’t think he’s hiding something.”
Pinkie. “As much fun it sounds to spy on him I won’t do it either, I’m trying to throw him a party and I don’t think he will come to one if he finds out that I have been spying on him. I also don’t think his hiding something.”
Rarity. “I’m sorry Twilight but I have to agree with Fluttershy and Pinkie on this and after what he did for the school, I won’t be spying on him.”
Twilight couldn’t believe what she was hearing, her best friends won’t help her. ”That’s it, the only one that’s helping me is Rainbow Dash. I thought you were my friends.”
“We are your friends Twilight, but we think you and princess Celestia is wrong when it’s comes to Falco.” Said Rarity, the others nodded in agreement.
Twilight looked at them with disappointing look. “So that’s is, after all we have been through. Some friends you are.”
“Twilight dear, we are your friends.”
“Get out.” They hesitated a little. “I SAID GET OUT.”
After Twilight shouted that they left the library leaving Twilight alone. “I better prepare.” She walked up to her room to get her stuff so she could keep an eye on Falco.
Meanwhile with Falco and Spike, Falco had just finished telling his story.
“…and that was that last of the bug queen.”
Spike just looked at Falco with awe. “Wow, race that has no soul. I didn’t think that existed.”
“Believe me kid, they existed. Just like Celestia.”
Now Spike was confused. “What do you mean?”
“Yesterday when Celestia came to your town to have a talk with me I looked into her eyes and what I saw was no soul, they said that the eyes is the path to your soul. Not in her case is, there was no soul.” Spike was about to answer that but… “Look like we have arrived at our destination.”
Spike looked out of the cockpit and what he saw was a giant valley, he also could see different dragons soaring in the sky. Then he felt the Arwing slowing down.
“What are you doing?” He asked Falco.
“I’m landing outside the valley, I don’t want to get my Arwing roasted by dragons.”
He landed the Arwing just beside some trees, then he open the cockpit. “Jump out kid, I have to get something first.” Spike didn’t argue, he jump out and land in the grass, then he waited for Falco.
He didn’t have to wait long, Falco jump out of the Arwing holding something in his hand. It was black and it looked like giant L.
“What’s that?” He asked the bird.
“It’s a blaster, a weapon.” The bird answer the dragon.
“Why do you need a weapon?”
“Look kid, you are a dragon so it’s unlikely you will get attack while I looked like a meal on two metal legs.” He put his hand on the Arwing and the cockpit closed. “Let’s just get this over with.” They stared to walked towards the valley.
Have you ever got that felling that every eye are on you? Well, that felling got Falco when he and Spike was walking through the valley. He looked over to Spike who was walking in front of him, he looked like he belong here.
“Hey kid, do you know where to look?”
Spike scratched his head. “I don’t know, maybe some dragons that looked like me.”
It wasn’t a very good plan but, it was a plan. Before they could get on with the plan a giant dragon, who was black and red landed in front of them. The giant dragon stared to talk in a deep voice.
“What are a young dragon and bird doing in the valley of the dragons?”
Spike just looked at the dragon whit awe while Falco pointed his blaster at him, the dragon decided to sniff Spike.
“Why do you smell like a pony young one and why do I smell Celestia?”
Now Spike was afraid. “I was raised by a unicorn and she got my egg from Celestia, I came to here to find out who my parents are.”
The dragon looked closer at Spike. “I sense a lot of pain in you, young dragon. Why is that?”
“Yesterday I asked princess Celestia where she got my egg but she didn’t answer me, she just left. I want to know who my parents are.” He said in a somber tone.
The dragon nodded in understanding. “I understand young one, I will take you to your parents.”
When Spike heard that his had big smile on his face. “Really?” The dragon nodded. “Thanks, but I even don’t know your name.”
“My name is Drake, may I ask your name young one.”
“It’s Spike.”
“Good to meet you Spike.” Then Drake looked at Falco who was still pointing his blaster at Drake. “And who is your friend?” He asked Spike.
“This is Falco, he helped me get here.”
Drake looked closer at Falco while he was ready to shoot. “You don’t have to pointe that weapon on me Falco, I won’t hurt you.”
“Why should I believe a teen foot dragon? You could just eat me like that.” He snapped his fingers.
Drake smiled of what he said. “You have a pointe there.” Drake then closed his eyes then he stared to glow, all of sudden he was a lot smaller. “There, is this better?”
Spike mouth feel to the floor when he saw what Drake just did. “That was cool, how did you do that?”
Now was Drake confused. “You don’t know dragon magic.” Spike just shook his head. “That’s weird, dragon should know magic from a very young age. Suspicious.” Drake looked into the valley. “We can discuss that later, right now let’s find your parents. Followed me.” Drake stared to walked into the valley.
Falco who had lowered his blaster walked up to Spike. “Are you sure you want to trust this dragon Spike?” He whispered to him.
“Right now, he is the only one that know where’s my parents are, I have no choice.”
Spike followed after Drake while Falco hesitated a little but eventually he followed the two dragons. ‘Somethings tells me that I’m going to be eaten alive in this valley.’
When they arrived at the heart of the valley they could see dozens of different dragons, some on the ground and others flying in the air. Spike felt right at home while Falco felt like lunch on two metal legs.
Drake looked back at his guests. “I have to warn you two, dragons here don’t like outside guests. But as long as you stay by my side you will be okay.”
“What does make you so special?” Falco asked the dragon.
Drake just smiled. “Because of my title, let’s find Spike’s parents.”
Drake headed for a cave near the entrance of the valley, Spike and Falco followed him. When they arrived the saw a dragon, likely a male that looked like Spike. He was lying outside the cave in his giant form, he noticed Drake and the others approach him.
The dragon bowed his head. “Sir Drake, what do I owe the honour for this visit?”
“You don’t have to bow for me Rock Crusher and don’t call me sir Drake, I hate that tittle.”
Rock raised his head. “I can’t do that sir Drake, you have earned that tittle and I won’t insult you.” Drake just rolled his eyes, Rock noticed Spike. “Who is the young dragon sir Drake?”
“This is Spike and I think that he is your soon.”
“WHAT?” Said Rock and Spike together while Falco just coked an eye brown.
“Are you sure sir Drake? Celestia told me that my son died years ago.”
When Spike heard that he was shocked, why would Celestia tell him that he was dead. It didn't make any sense.
“Did she tell you how your son died?” Drake asked Rock.
“She told me that he died when he was born but, how do you know that this young dragon in my son?”
Drake put a claw on his chest. “You insulted me Rock.” He said in a mocking tone, Drake saw that Rock became very afraid. “Relax Rock, I was just having a little fun.” Rock breathed a sigh of relief while Falco just rolled his eyes of the bad joke. “I know because I could smell your scent of young Spike.”
When Spike and Rock heard that they looked at each other, then something happened inside Spike. It was like he knew Rock, he ran over to him and gave him a hug. He stared to cry.
“Father.”
Rock was surprise of what Spike did put he returned the hug. “My son.”
Falco watch at side line with smile on his face, he has reputation to be a bad ass but even he has a soft side and this was one of them. Drake walked over to him.
“Mind telling why you are here.”
Falco gave him a look that said; are you kidding me. “Way to kill the mod but if you want to know, I’m here because Spike asked me to bring him here and I wasn’t to say no to a kid who just wanted to find his parents.” He then looked around. “By the way, where is his mother?”
That got the attention of Spike. “Falco has pointed, where’s mom.” He looked up at his father.
Rock looked over to Drake who just nodded. “I’m sorry to say this Spike, but your mother died some time ago.”
Spike eyes widen. “No, how did she died?”
Rock took a deep breath, this was something didn’t look forward to. “After Celestia told us that you had died your mother Garnet lost all will to live, I tried to comfort her but she didn’t want to live any more. She died a mouth later.”
When Spike heard that he was devastated, that his mother died like that. Falco was also shocked but there’s was one thing.
“I hate to interrupt this moment but there one thing I don’t understand, why did you give Celestia Spike’s egg? Why give here your egg?”
“Celestia come to use right after we got Spike’s egg and told us that he was destined for greatness, at first we didn’t believe her but she manged to persuade us. When she took the egg, I knew something was wrong but I didn’t say anything and that is something I regret. A few years past and she returned and told us that our son had died when his egg was hatch, I was furious at Celestia for taking our egg but before I could do anything she teleported away.” He looked down on the ground and they could see tears feel to the ground. “I lost my wife because I didn’t do anything.”
At first Spike was mad at his father for giving his egg away but when he saw him cry all that hate disappeared, he gave his father another hug. That surprised Rock.
“Don’t worry about father, I’m not mad at you.”
That made Rock cry even more. “I don’t deserve a son like you.”
“As much as like this touching moment I would like to remove something from your body young Spike.” That got attention from all three.
Spike let go of his father. “Remove something from my body? What?”
“Just wait and see.” One of Drake’s claws stared to glow, he then touched Spike on the chest. Then all of sudden Spike starred to glow and then he grew, when he stopped gloving he had grown a few meters and he had wings. He was a little bigger than Falco. “That.”
“What did you do to me?” Spike asked Drake.
“I just removed at seal that was place on your chest, likely Celestia works.”
When Rock heard that became furious. “First she tells me and my mate that our son had died and she has the nerve to put a seal on him that prevents him from growing, I’m going to rip her wings from her body.” Rock said in a very angry tone.
Little did they know that while Drake had removed the seal Falco had made his way back to his Arwing, when he was back he opened the cockpit and was about to hop in.
“Leaving?”
Falco looked behind him and saw that it was Drake. “Yeah, it looks like Spike is going to be okay from now on. And besides, I have date back in Ponyville.” He climbed back into his Arwing.
“May I ask why you help Spike to come here?” Drake asked the blue bird.
“I already told you, I wanted Spike to find his parents, that’s good enough for me. Tell him that I wish him well and that I’m going to tell his friends back in Ponyville where he is.”
Drake nodded. “I will and Falco, if you ever need some help in the future I will be there.”
Drake spread his wings and flew back into the valley, Falco just watch as the dragon disappeared. He then shuddered. ‘Dragons’ He was about to power up the ship when he saw Spike running towards him.
Spike stopped beside the Arwing, he was breathing heavily. “Thought I would not make it.”
“Something you want kid?”
“Yes, tell Twilight that I’m sorry and that I want to stay here.”
Falco smiled. “I kind of figured that out already kid.”
“And would also like to say thanks for brining me here.”
Falco just waved it off. “Don’t worry about it.” He stared up his Arwing. “I hope that you get to know your father Spike.”
Falco closed the roof and then he brought the Arwing higher, he waved at Spike and the dragon waved back. Falco hit the throttle lever and he was on his way back to Ponyville.
Applejack was just standing by the barn waiting for Falco to come back, he said that I would go on a date with her when arrived back after testing his Arwing. It was getting dark and she was worried that he had forgotten what he said. She then heard someone coming behind her, it was her big brother Mac.
“Falco hasn’t come back yet?” Mac asked his sister.
“Nope.” Applejack looked down on the ground. “I’m starting to think that he has forgotten the whole thing.”
Mac could hear the sadness in her voice. “I don’t know Falco that well but I don’t think he is the one that let somepony down, he will come.”
Applejack was about to answer when she and her brother heard something in the distance, it was his Arwing. It came closer and closer, he landed it at the usual spot.
He jumped out and stretched his body. “Wow, that took longer than I expected.”
“You sure took your sweat time.”
Falco looked to the side and what he saw was and angry Applejack heading towards him, Mac was right behind her.
“Hey AJ, what’s up.”
“Don’t you AJ me, where have you been?” She asked with anger in her voice.
“I have been out testing my engine like I said I would.”
“It took you all day, what could be so important that it took all day?” She asked him.
“That would I also like to know.” All of them heard the new voice, it was Luna. She landed beside the Arwing. “Care to explain why it took all day?”
Falco looked between the two mares, Luna looking calm while Applejack was angry. “Alright, I will explain but first. Applejack, calm down or I will not explain.” Applejack took a couple of breaths took calm herself down. “If you really want to know, I was helping Spike.” That confused them both, even Mac.
“Little Spike? Why would you help him?” Luna asked Falco.
“Because he asked me to take him to the valley of the dragons to find his parents.” He explained to Luna.
“He asked you to bring him to the valley of the dragons to find his parents?” Luna asked him, Falco just nodded. “Why?”
“Apparently Celestia never told him who his parents is and when he asked her yesterday she said nothing, she just left the library without telling him anything. Of course, I wanted to help him.” All three ponies were shocked when they heard that. “But that’s not the worst part, Celestia told his parents that he had died when he was hatched. And because of this his mother died.”
Now they were really shocked especially Luna, that her sister would do such thing to others and to Spike. She wasn’t shocked anymore, she was pissed off.
“When I get my hoofs on my sister I’m going to strangle her.” Her horn stared to glow and then she disappear.
Falco and the other looked where she was standing, it was actually smoking there. Falco just shocked his head. “I’m glad that I’m not Celestia right now.” He went to close the cockpit to his Arwing.
He then noticed that Applejack and her brother was just standing there. “You two okay?” He asked them.
Applejack was the first to say something. “Yeah, I think going to bed. I have to think, don’t worry about our date Falco, we can have it tomorrow.”
Falco said nothing as she and brother went to the main house, he just scratched his head.
Not far from the where Falco had parked his Arwing Twilight was hiding in a bush taking note of what was happening, she put away her binoculars to write in her notebook with her magic.
“The subject know as Falco Lombardi has returned back to Applejack’s farm after taking his Arwing for a test, he had conversation with princess Luna and Applejack, Mac was also there. I don’t know what they were talking about but it angered the princess, whatever he said it also had an impacted on Applejack and Mac too.” She put down her notebook and picked up the binoculars to watch Falco further.
When she looked where Falco was standing she notice that he was gone. “What the, where did he go?” She popped her head out of the bush to see if she could see better. “He was with his Arwing a minute ago.”
She looked around but little did she know that he was standing right behind her, he just watched her looking around with her binocular. He couldn’t help but roll his eyes of what he saw, he then decided to have some fun with her.
“Who are you looking for?” He asked her.
“I’m looking for a bird that walks on two metal legs.” She told Falco without realising who she was talking to.
“Why are looking for me?”
“I’m keeping an eye on you because princess Celestia thinks you hiding something and I’m going to find out what, so are you going to… help… me…?” She turned her head very slowly around to see who she was talking to. Her eyes widen when she saw that she was talking to Falco, she put on her best innocent smile. “Lovely evening, isn’t it?”
Falco crossed his arms. “Yeah, if you want to spy on others. So, Celestia thinks that I’m hiding something?” He grabbed Twilight by her the throat and lifted her up to his face. “Listen her ‘princess,’ I’m getting sick of this. The only thing I want to, is to repair my Arwing and find a way home, that’s it.” He let go her, Twilight feel to the ground gasping for air. “The last thing I need is a paranoid unicorn to follow me, why don’t you try to listen to your heart instead of Celestia.”
He walked back to the farm leaving Twilight alone, she looked down on the ground. ‘What am I doing?’ She thought.
Back on the farm Falco went over to what he thought was Applejack’s window, he picked up a rock and threw it the window. It didn’t take long before someone open the window, it was Applejack poked her head out of it.
“Why are you throwing a rock at my window at this time of the night?” She asked him.
“Do you know what you friend the ‘princess’ is doing?”
“Who are you talking about?” She asked with confusion on her voice.
“The purple unicorn, the one spying on me.” He answered.
“Twilight is spying on you?” He nodded. “Why?”
“Apparently Celestia thinks I’m hiding something, I don’t know what.” He crossed his arms. “I thought that you ponies were nice but I guess I was wrong, tomorrow I’m going to fix my Arwing and then I’m going to find a way home. I’m sick of this place.”
Before Applejack could say anything, he walked back to his tent. ‘What are you doing Twilight?’
Meanwhile at Andross ship the captain was watching the whole thing on a monitor, he couldn’t help but smile of what he saw.
“Excellence, major.” The major came up to him and salute. “What is the status of the ship?” He asked the major.
“It’s working one hundred percent, we are ready to attack.”
“Not yet.”
That confused the major. “Are we not going to attack this planet?”
“We ned to deal with the Star Fox member and I have a plan to that, I want you paint the Star Fox logo on one of the drones and we are going to let the drone ‘crash’ into the blue pegasus that have been following the Star Fox member.”
Now the major was even more confused. “May I ask why?”
“Don’t question my orders major, just do it and make sure that she ‘crash’ into the drones when she leaves her house tomorrow morning. It that understand?”
The major saluted. “Yes sir.” He went off to do was he was told to do.
Early next morning Rainbow Dash woke up as soon as the sun was up, she ate breakfast and was ready to spy on Falco again. “Time to get to work.” She headed out and took to the sky in the direction of Applejack’s farm. “I know I’m going to find something dirt on him today."
She didn’t get very long, she hit something with her head and landed on the ground. She got up and rubbed her head. “Ow, what did I hit?” She looked for it and what she saw was a round metal thing, but what caught her attention was the logo on the side. She walked closer to round thing to get a closer look at the logo. “Where have I seen that mark before?” She tried to remember, then… “It’s the same thing that’s on Falco’s metal bird, what’s is thing?” She poked it with a hoof, it didn’t move. “Huh, I guess is dead. I better take this thing to Twilight, see can determine what it is.” She hovered over it and grabbed it with her front hooves, she was surprised how light it was.
Arriving at the library she landed at front door and knock serval times, when she got no answer she knocked again. Then she heard movement inside the treehouse.
When the door opened she saw Twilight and she looked like mess, she had bags under her eyes and her hair was all messy. “What do you want Dash?” Shed asked with tired voice.
“I want you to look at this.” She pointed at the round metal thing that was lying beside her.
Twilight looked at it. “What’s is it.” She asked her friends.
“I don’t know, I crashed into it and then I brought it here hopping you could find out what it is.”
Twilight sighed. “Fine, I will have look at it.”
She picked it up with her magic to bring it into the library and Dash followed her, well inside she put it down on the floor so she take a closer look at it. “It looks like it’s made of same materiel as Falco’s Arwing.” She then saw the logo. “Why is there the same logo on this as his Arwing?” She asked Dash.”
“I think it’s belongs to him.” Dash answered.
Twilight just frowned, she then decide to scan it with her magic. “It doesn’t work for the moment and I think is some kind of recording in it.”
She looked closer and saw a button, she pressed it. A hologram with Celestia and Luna showed up, they were standing in the throne room and they were arguing.
Luna. “Why did you tell Falco Lombardi that you were the sole rule of Equestria, I thought we ruled together.”
Celestia. “I was a mistake Luna alright, can you let it go.”
“Mistake? You? Since when did you do a mistake? You are the ‘perfect’ ruler.”
The image stopped. Twilight and Dash looked at the recording then each other’s trying to comprehend what they just saw, then Dash got a big smile on her face.
“I knew it, I knew that Falco was up to something. I just knew.” She flew up and stared to punch in the air. “When I see him the next time I am going to give him a piece of my mind.”
Twilight was just stun over what she just saw. “He was lying the hole time, he doesn’t want to repair his Arwing. He is doing it to take over Equestria not go home, I need to write a letter to princess Celestia.”
But before she could do that the door was open with a bang, Applejack walked in and she did not look happy. She walked straight to Twilight and pressed her head against hers.
“What the hay are you think Twilight? Why did you spy on Falco yesterday?”
Twilight back away a little. “I did it because the princess told me and I won’t disobey her orders.”
“Well, thanks to that he’s leaving today. He is going to repair his Arwing and leave.”
“No, he's is not.”
Applejack was confused of those words. “What do you mean by that Twilight?”
Twilight pointed at the device that was lying in the library. “We saw a recording of princess Celestia and princess Luna on the device and it has the same logo that’s on Falco’s Arwing, that’s is enough proof for me to send a letter to princess Celestia and get him arrested.”
“Arrested him, for what?”
“I believe that he’s is going to take over Equestria.”
Applejack couldn’t believe wat she was hearing. “I don’t believe this, you see one recording and that’s is what you are going to do.”
Twilight pressed the button on the device again and recording tared to play, when it was done Applejack was not convinced. “That’s it? That don’t prove anything, you see one recording and think’s he is going to take over Equestria.”
“Look at the facts Applejack, we have a recording of the princess Celestia and her sister on a device that has his logo and the time he’s been her he hasn’t given any information about him and the place his is from.”
“Well, here’s my facts; he helped fix the swings at the school, he also helped my sister get her cutie mark and yesterday he helped Spike find his father.”
That last part got Twilight attention. “He helped Spike find his father?” Applejack nodded. “That’s why I can’t find Spike, why did Falco help him?”
“He brought Spike to the valley of the dragons so he could find his parents and here’s the worst part, his mother died after he was born.”
Twilight eyes widen. “What?”
“That’s right Twilight, Celestia told them that Spike died when he was born and Spike mom died because of that. I don’t know how but she died.”
Twilight didn’t want to believe her. “No, you are lying.”
“Hello, look who you are talking to. I can’t lei and I can tell when others are telling the truth.” Applejack sighed. “I guess you don’t want to believe me so write your letter but if you do, then out friendship is over.”
Applejack turned around and walked out leaving a stun Twilight, she tried to progress what she had just heard. On one hoof, she wanted to believe her friends but she couldn’t deny the facts.
“I don’t know what to do anymore.”
Dash who was watching the whole thing walked over to her and but a hoof on her shoulder. “I think you should send that letter Twilight, Applejack will get over it eventually.”
“I hope you are right Rainbow.”
Twilight grabbed a scroll and a feather to write to Celestia, after writing the letter she send it with her magic and she was hoping she did the right thing.
At the same time on the ship the general was watching the whole thing. “Just as thought.” He walked to the middle of the bright. “Prepare a live recording with the drone that’s hovering over Canterlot castle, I’m going to have a talk with Celestia.” He told his crew, they saluted and got to work.
Inside the throne room Celestia has just read the letter from Twilight. “I knew that I was up to something.” She put away the letter. “Get me captain Shining Armour.” One of the guard saluted and walked out of the throne room.
It didn’t take long before Shining Armour showed up, he walked to her throne and saluted. “You summon me princess Celestia.”
Before she Celestia could say something the one of the window shattered, a round metal came into the window and hovered in front of Celestia. Shining and the guards in the room drew their weapons and pointed at the metal thing. Then a monkey that was standing on two legs appeared in front of her.
“Greetings princess Celestia, my name is Hubert and I’m the captain of the ship that’s hovering beside the moon.” He bowed.
Celestia got of her throne. “Is there something you want captain Hubert.” She asked him.
He gave her an evil smile. “Yes, there is, you are to surrender Equestria to Andross forces, leave Equestria and never return.”
The guard around them gasp when they heard that while Celestia didn’t react at all. “Why would I do that? What would happen if didn’t do that?”
“If you don’t I will attack Equestria and take it by force.”
Now Celestia was angry and Hubert could see that. “Do you really think you can defeat me? I am an alicorn, the most powerful being in Equestria. You don’t stand a chance against me.”
Hubert just smile. “The last four days our man on the ground have gathered intel on you and the ponies of Equestria, I feel very comfortable about the intel he has gathered.”
“Let me guess, the man’s name is Falco Lombardi.”
Hubert keep on smiling. “Now, I’m a responsible man. You have 2 hours to decide, I suggest should choose reasonable.” The image disappeared and metal objected flew out the broken window.
Celestia stood there with anger in her eyes, she was not surrender to monkey on two legs. But first she had to take care of her bird problem. She turned to Shining.
“Captain, I want you to take some guards with you to Ponyville and arrest Falco Lombardi, he is living at the element of honesty, Applejack’s farm.” Shining just stared at her. “I gave you an order captain.”
He shook his head. “I’m sorry your highness but shouldn’t you talk with your sister first?”
She looked him straight into his eye. “I gave you an order and captain and I expect you to obey.” Shining stood there with fear in his eyes. “NOW.” That got Shining to react, he saluted and headed of.
Luna was walking towards the throne room to talk with her sister, she tried to talk with her yesterday when it came to that Celestia told Spike’s parent’s that he had died. Her sister wouldn’t say anything so she would try again today. She arrived in the main hall and saw Shining Armour coming out from the throne room.
She got eye contact with him for a second and it looked like he has seen the devil himself. “Captain Shining Armour.” He didn’t react, he just walked past her and disappeared. ‘What’s going on?’ Luna thought as she entered the throne room.
When she entered the throne room she could see a broken window and some servants gleaning up the broken glass, he sister was sitting on her throne breathing heavily and it looked like she was in a bad mood.
“Sister, what happened here?” Luna asked Celestia.
“I’m dealing with something and it’s under control.” She answered Luna.
“I can see that, mind telling me what is going on.”
“A monkey by the name of Hubert told me that I should surrender Equestria to him then he gave me 2 hours to decide.”
Luna raised an eye brown of what her sister said. “He told you? What about me?”
“What about you?”
“Why didn’t this Hubert ask for me? Why just you?”
“He came to me not you don’t worry I’m handling it.”
“And exactly how are you handling it?”
“By arresting one of his men, Falco Lombardi.”
Luna wasn’t sure if she heard right. “Why are you arresting him?” She asked.
“Because Hubert told me that Falco was one of is men.”
“And you believe him?” Celestia didn’t answer Luna. “I don’t know what’s going on but I think that you have lost it Celestia, we are supposed to make decisions together.”
“It’s a little difficult when you are sleeping through the day.”
Luna could not believe what she was hearing. “I have to, I have to watch the night.”
Celestia snorted. “Whatever, you can leave. I’m handling this.”
As much as Luna wanted to stay and help her sister she didn’t want her help so Luna left, outside the throne Luna just stared at the door. She shook her head and headed back to her room.
At Sweet Apples Acers Falco was busy trying to repair the engine to his Arwing but it wasn’t easy thanks to Applejack, she has for the ten minutes tried to convince Falco that she had nothing to with that Twilight spying in him but he wouldn’t listen.
“Would you please listen to me Falco, I have nothing to do with it.” Applejack told him.
“Would you shut the hell up Applejack, I don’t want to hear it.” Falco answered while working in his engine.
Applejack was about say more but then two chariots landed not fare from them, she saw that Twilight brother stepped out of one of them with more guards that was all unicorns. Applejack could only wonder why they were here. Shining and the guards walked towards them, they walked past Applejack and headed straight to Falco.
Shining stared to speak. “Falco Lombardi, in the name of princess Celestia you are under arrest.”
That got Falco to stop working. “What for?”
“For spying on Equestria and giving information to the enemy.” Shining told him.
That got Falco to laugh. “That’s funny, why don’t you go back to sun butt and tell her to get here facts right. If you will excuse me, I have work to do.”
He turned his back to them and stared to walk back to his tent, that got Shining to see red. He fired a beam into Falco back’s knocking him unconscious. He then looked at his fellow unicorn guards.
“Take him away, let’s get him back to Canterlot.”
The guards nodded, they went to pick him up but did not get very fare, Applejack was blocking the way.
“You are not taking him, he has done nothing wrong.”
“Applejack, stepped aside or else we have to arrest you too. And believe me I don’t want to do that.”
“No, if you want him then you have to arrest me too.”
Shining sighed, he didn’t want to do this. “Fine, you leave me no choice. Guards, arrest Applejack for interfering on royal guard’s business. Take them both away.”
Two new guard came to take Applejack over to the chariot that had bars on it while the other two brought Falco with them using their magic to the same chariot, Applejack stepped inside while they threw Falco lifeless body into it. They closed the door and got ready to take off.
After getting her cutie mark Applebloom has been a good mood and now she was on her way out to share some of her good mood whit her sister and Falco, since this morning Applejack and Falco had a bad mood between them and she was going to fix that.
Stepping out she saw if she could see her sister and Falco but came to a dead stop, what she saw was Applejack stepping into a prison chariot and Falco who was not moving at all, he was throw into the same chariot as her sister. Then she saw guards, one of them she recognises as Twilight’s brother, Shining Armor. He and some other guards stepped into the other chariot and the pegasus that was pulling it flew off.
Applebloom just stood there, trying to figure out what she just saw. She then ran back into the house to tell her brother.
“Big Mac.”
Her brother was sitting in the living room reading the newspaper when Applebloom came running in, she ran straight to him and she grabbed the paper and pulled it away from her brother.
“Applebloom, I was reading that.” He told his younger sister.
“Forget about the newspaper, I just saw Applejack and Falco were taken by some guards,”
Mac just gave his little sister a confused look. “What? Applejack and Falco were arrested, is that what you are saying?” Applebloom nodded. “For what?”
“I don’t know, I never got the chance to ask them. They left before I could.” She then started to cry. “What’s going to happened to them Mac?”
He looked at his sister and she wasn’t lying. “You are telling the truth, that’s for sure.” He got up. “You stay here with granny, I’m going to ask Twilight about this. Something tells me that she knows more about this.” He headed towards the door.
Back the library Twilight had just received a letter from Celestia. “Well, it’s done. The princess has sent someone to arrest Falco.”
That made Dash happy. “You see, everything went out okay in the end.”
“Then why do I feel bad about it? It doesn’t feel right Dash.”
“You get over it Twilight.”
Rainbow was about to head home when someone tried to open the door to the library. “The library is closed, come back tomorrow.” Twilight told the pony.
“I will not come back miss Twilight, not until you tell me why princess Celestia’s guard arrested Applejack.”
“WHAT.” Said Dash and Twilight together.
As soon as they said that the door flew inn and hit the wall with a bang, inn walked Mac and he did not look happy, he walked towards Twilight and Dash who back away from him. They were terrified of him right now.
“I’m going to ask you again miss Twilight; why did the royal guard arrest my sister?”
“I don’t know what you are talking about Mac, I just got a letter from the princess and it said the she had send my brother to arrest Falco, I can write a new one and asked her about Applejack.” Mac nodded. She picked up a new letter with her magic and wrote a new one, then she send it with her magic. “Now we wait.”
Meanwhile in Canterlot dungeon Falco had just woken up after had been shot in the back, he sat up. “What the hell happened and why does my back hurt like hell?” He looked around and saw that he was in a prison. “What’s going on?” He asked no one special.
“We both got arrest.”
He recognized the voice. “Applejack?” He got up and walk to the bars and stuck his head out and looked around. “Where are you?”
“To your right.”
He looked to his right but could not see here, all he could see was another prison cell. “Where the hell are we?” He asked her.
“After you insulted princess Celestia, Shining Armor shot a beam in your back knocking you out cool. Then we were both taken to the castle prison.”
Falco thought back and he remember a unicorn. “This Shining Armor, he has white fur and blue tail?”
“Yes.”
Falco slam his fist into the floor. “Fucking coward, who shot someone in the back?”
Then they heard a door open, both of them looked out from the bars and they could see Celestia with some guards and one of them was Shining. When Falco saw him, he saw red. The guards walked over to Applejack’s cell and open the door.
“Applejack, you are free to go.” Said the guard that open the door.
Celestia walked over to Falco’s cell and looked right into his eyes with anger, a normal pony would probably be very afraid about now but Falco was just bored.
“Did you really think you would get away?”
Falco was now confused. “What the hell are you talking about?”
“We have proof that you have been spying on Equestria for captain Hubert.”
Now he was even more confused. “I haven’t spying on you and how the hell is Hubert? I don’t know a Hubert.”
“Just keep acting dumb, I know your lying.”
“Listen princess arrogant, I’m not lying because I don’t know that the hell you are talking about.”
Celestia took a steep back. “About an hour ago captain Hubert of the Andross force told me to surrender Equestria to him and he told me that you were a spy.”
Falco had stopped listing to her when she said Andross. “Did you just say Andross?”
“Yes, does that name meaning anything to you?” She asked him.
“Yeah, you better surrender to him or he will kill you all.”
That got Applejack and the guard to react but not Celestia, she didn’t believe his words at all. She actually smiled.
“Do you really think you can talk you way out of this? You are going to stay in your cell for the rest of your life.” She walked away from him and to Applejack’s cell. “Applejack, as the guard said you are free to go. It was all a misunderstanding.” Applejack didn’t move. “Didn’t you hear me?”
“I heard you but I’m not moving, if Falco is staying and so am I.”
Celestia was about to use her magic to drag her out. “Just go already AJ, let Celestia have her fun.” Falco told her.
“But, you have done nothing wrong, it’s not right.”
“I know that and you know that but, the princess here is to stubborn to realize who is the real enemy is.”
Celestia walked back to Falco’s cell. “If you are talking about your boss, I have already but up a magic barrier around the castle and guards are patrolling the street.”
Falco was not impressed of that. “That’s all? That’s not going to be enough.”
Then a with unicorn stepped forward. “How dear you doubt princess Celestia’s words?”
Falco looked at the unicorn. “Let me guess, you are Shining Armor.”
“That’s right.”
Falco leaned out as far as he could. “When I am getting out of this cell, I’m going to break that nose of yours.” He said with a serious facial expression.
When Shining heard that he stared to laugh, so did the other guards. Even Celestia thought that it was funny.
“That’s was funny inmate, that you really think that you are getting out of that cell.”
Falco’s facial expression didn’t change. “When I am getting out of this cell, I’m going to break that nose of yours. That a promise and I keep my promises.”
Celestia was about to say something but then scroll appeared right in front of her, she opened it and read it. “It looks like you brother is worried for you Applejack so, I suggested that you go home.”
Applejack walked out from her cell and looked over to Falco who just gave her a thumb up, she just nodded and walked with some guards. Celestia took one last look Falco and walked after them, then Shining followed her leaving Falco alone in the prison.
Falco just lay down in the floor. “This is just great.”
When Celestia and the others arrived in the main hale she turned to two of the guards. “Escort Applejack back to Ponyville.” They both saluted but they didn’t get far.
“I’ll escort Applejack home.” It was Luna who had enter the main hall.
“What’s the meaning of this Luna?” Celestia asked her sister.
“You heard me, I will escort Applejack home.” Luna walked up to her sister. “Or do you have a problem with that.”
Then they stared a staring contest that made the guards and Applejack very nervous, none pf them knew what could happened. Eventually Celestia gave up.
“Fine, do as you want. I have bigger problems then this.”
Celestia and her guards walked to the throne room leaving Applejack with Luna. “Follow me Applejack.” She did that. Eventually they arrived at their destination, Luna bedroom. The guards that was guarding her room saluted, both are bat pony.
Luna open the door with her magic and went, Applejack followed her. Applejack has never been in Luna room before, truth be told she has never been in any of the princess rooms and she was very nervous right now. Luna could see that.
“Don’t worry Applejack, you are not in trouble. I just want to talk to you before I send you home.” She closed the door with her magic. “I want you to be honest with me Applejack what do you think about my sister right now?”
That question caught her off guard. “Too be honest, I don’t think she is the perfect ruler Twilight says she is. She just arrested Falco for something he never did.” She looked down on the floor. “I don’t know what to think anymore.
“I see, and what do think about Falco? Is he a threat to Equestria?”
Applejack shook her head. “No way, he helped fix the school swings and help paint the school building. He even helped Spike find his father, somepony who does that is not a threat.”
Luna was about to ask another question when her room stared to shake, it wasn’t her rom but the entire castle. One of the guard came in. “Princess Luna, there something approaching Canterlot. Something big.”
Luna and Applejack walk out to Luna’s balcony and what they saw made their eyes to widen, entering the atmosphere was a giant black metal thing. None of them knew was happening. Then they saw many round metal things coming out from the big one, then the small one stared to fired something that looked like magic beams towards the city.
Luna could see ponies stared to panic in the street, they were desertion the city. She looked at the guard.
“Guard, get me captain Shadow right away.” She shouted at the guard behind her, he ran as fast he could to find the captain.
“Princess Luna was going on?” Applejack asked with fear in her voice.
“I don’t know but something tells me that this is my sister fault.”
As soon Luna said that a bat pony entered her bedroom, it was a bat pony with blue/black fur with purple hair. The bat pony saluted. “You asked for me your highness.”
“Captain Shadow, I want you to take every night guard and head to Canterlot and rescue everypony you can.”
“But what about your sister and her guards?”
“Something tells me that see is responsible for this, now get going.” Shadow saluted again, then she ran out the room and two guards followed her. “Let’s go Applejack.” Luna headed for the door.
“Where are we going?”
“We are going to the one who can help us.”
A couple of minutes ago in the throne room.
Celestia had just arrived back in the throne room, she was wondering if she did the right the choice. Her thought was interrupted by the something that flew in front of her, it was the same metal thing as before.
Then Hubert appeared again. “Greetings Celestia, have you consider my offered?”
As soon as he said that Celestia felt anger. “Surrender and leave Equestria? Never. I will never surrender to the likes of you.”
Hubert sighed. “That’s too bad, I was hoping to do this peacefully.” He looked to his side. “Prepared to attack.” The imaged disappeared and the metal orb flew out the window.
Celestia turned to Shining Armour. “Captain, alert the guard. I want them to protect the castle at all cost.”
He saluted and ran to alert the guard. As soon he left the hole castle stared to shake, Celestia looked outside and she saw black metal thing entering the atmosphere, then it send out small metal orbs that looked like the one that had visit her before. Then they stared to fire beams towards the city.
One of the guards in throne room saw that. “Your highness, what about the ponies in Canterlot?” He asked Celestia.
“I have soldier in the streets, they are safe.”
Luna and Applejack had just entered the dungeon and the first thing the notice that there were no guards there, all they could hear was whistling. They ran to Falco cell and they saw the bird lei in the bed, he was whistling, it looked like he didn’t have a care in the world.
“Falco Lombardi.”
Falco looked at the cell door, he waved when he saw who it was. “Hello tuts, how is your day going? Having trouble with the invasion?” He then notice Applejack. “I guess we can’t have the date now AJ.”
“How can you lay there and make jokes when Canterlot is under attack?” Applejack asked him.
He just snorted. “Why should I care? According Celestia I am an enemy, so I ask again; why should I care?”
Luna stepped forward. “Ponies are dying, don’t you care about that.”
He turned his back on them. “Nope, it’s not my problem. I am the enemy, remember?”
Luna fell on her knees and stared to beg. “Please, I beg you help us.”
He got up and walked over to the cell door. “Why should I? Ever since I have got here most of you have treated me like a bad guy. I asked you again; why should I care?”
“Don’t you care that ponies are dying?” Applejack asked him.
He looked into her eyes. “No.”
She was shocked when she heard that. “What’s wrong with you? Don’t you have any compassion for the pony that are dying out there?”
“My compassion disappeared when I was arrested for something I didn’t do but if you ponies want my help then it will come at price.”
“I will give you anything.” Said Luna while Applejack couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
“I want to punch that bastard Shining Armor in the face.” Both Luna and Applejack gave him a confusing look. “That coward shot me in the back and for that I promise him that I would break his nose and I intent to keep that promise.”
Luna stood up. “I have no problem with that, he isn’t one of my guards so I don’t care.”
“Good but there’s one problem, even if I got my Arwing to work I can’t use my weapons. My weapon chip was fried on arrival, what I need is a replacement and I don’t think that there’s a store in this place that sells that kind of stuff.”
“Who can we find one?” Luna asked him.
“We can find one in one of those drones out there.” He pointed at the window. “Those who are attacking the city.”
“Can’t Luna just shoot one down with her magic.” Said Applejack.
“That won’t work, I have seen unicorn’s trying to shoot them down with their magic. They have shield that reflects magic, this Hubert has probably modified them so they can’t be destroyed by magic.”
“Then all hope is lost.” Said Luna in with a somber tone.
“Maybe not.” Both Falco and Luna looked at Applejack. “This morning I went to visit Twilight and she had one of those ‘drones’ in the library.”
“Where did Twilight get one of those?” Luna asked her.
“I don’t know, I saw Rainbow Dash there too. Maybe she found it.”
“Then we have no time to lose, I will teleport us to Twilight Sparkle library so Falco can get this weapon chip from the drone.”
She closed her eyes and as about to teleport them, until Falco remined her of something.
“Hello, I’m still in prison.”
Luna blushed of that. “Sorry, I forgot.” She levitated the keys that was lining at the table and open the cell so Falco could get out. “Alright then, brace yourself.” Her horn stared to glow and all three off them disappeared.
They appeared right in front library. “Is everpony alright?” She looked at Applejack who was a little disoriented.
“I still don’t get how unicorns managed to teleport without their world spinning.”
“Believe me Applejack, I had trouble at first. You okay Falco?”
They looked over where he was, he was standing by some bushes, throwing up. “That was not good for my stomach.” He stood up and whipped his mouth. “Well, at least I fertilize Twilight’s flowers.”
Luna just rolled her eyes and walked towards the door and notice that it was missing, she also could hear voice inside.
“I admit that Falco is a brute Twilight, but spying on us. Are you sure you are alright?”
“For the tenth time Rarity, I’m fine and yes, I’m sure he’s spying on us.”
Falco couldn’t help but groan. “Great, it sounds like the hole gang is there.”
They walked in and he was right, Twilight and all her friends was there even Applejack’s big brother, Big Mac was there.
“I’m telling you all, he’s spying on us all, this thing.” She pointed at the drone. “Is the proof.”
Then Twilight and the rest heard clapping. “Bravo ‘princess,’ you are a real genius.”
They all looked at the door and there stood Falco, as soon Dash saw him she took off towards him ready to punch him but she didn’t come very fare. She was stopped by a black aura, then she was thrown into the wall knocking the breath out of her. All theirs eyes widen when Luna stepped into the library.
“As long as I am her none of you are going to touch Falco, are we clear?”
“Princess Luna, what are you doing here?” Twilight asked her.
Luna walked over to Twilight with anger in her eyes. “I’m here doing what my sister should do, saving Equestria. Right now, Canterlot is under attack and it’s her fault.” That got all in the library to gasp, except Luna, Applejack and Falco.
“Canterlot is under attack? We have to go, princess Celestia needs the elements of harmony.”
Twilight was about to leave but Luna block her path. “You are not going anywhere Twilight Sparkle, you have done enough. I’m am here because I have a plan to deal with the threat.” She looked over to where Falco was standing but he was gone. “Where did Falco go?”
Applejack who was also standing there just pointed a hoof at Falco who was by the drone. “Nice work, great an energy shield that reflect magic, wish I had thought about that.” He had manged to get one of the panels open.
“What are you talking about Falco.” Luna asked the bird.
“Easy, this drone has a shield that makes magic useless.”
“That’s is impossible, I scan it and its not working.” Said Twilight.
“Well your wrong princess, this drone is working and it’s been recording you and your friends the hole time.”
Dash, who has just recovered after Luna had thrown her into the wall. Decide to say something. “Yeah right, you would say anything to save yourself.” She tried to take a stepped but lost her balance, luck for that Fluttershy was there.
Falco just rolled his eyes of what she said, he pushed some buttons and a hologram of Twilight and Dash appeared.
Twilight. “Well, it’s done. The princess has sent someone to arrest Falco.”
Dash. “You see, everything went out okay in the end.”
All the ponies in the room was shocked when they saw the recording. “They have been watching you all the time and they have probably gathering information about you ponies ever since they got here.” Falco told them.
“Then why are your logo on the on the drone?” Dash asked him.
Falco looked at the logo. “That’s the Star Fox logo but it’s been painted on, the paint is still wet.” He slide his finger on it and he got red paint on his finger. “Hubert and his lackeys have probably painted the logo to make sure I got blamed.”
Dash was not convinced. “I don’t believe you, you are lying.”
“Believe what you want.” Falco reach his hand into the hole and puled something. “This weapon chip will do, for the time being.” He got up and stared to walked towards the door.
“Where are you going?” Twilight asked him.
“I’m going to save Canterlot, whether I like it or not.”
He exit the library, Applejack and Mac followed him leaving Luna with the rest of the element of harmony. She looked at Twilight.
“When I heard that my sister let you stay here in Ponyville to study friendship I was not sure that was a wise decision, but after you help me at my own holy day I realize that I was wrong. Right now, I don’t know what to think, a pony who are studying friendship why won’t you be friends with Falco? You should just head back to Canterlot.” Luna walked out the door leaving Twilight with the words she just said.
Falco had run as fast as he could towards the farm, Applejack and Mac was right behind him. When they arrived at the farm Applebloom was waiting form them by the stairs to the house, when she saw them she got a big smile on her face. When Falco and he siblings ran past her she became confused, she ran after them.
All of them ran to Falco’s Arwing, Falco was doing something to it while Applejack and Big Mac was watching.
“Applejack, what’s going on?” She asked her sister. “And why where you arrested?”
“I will explain it to you later Applebloom but, this is not the right time.”
Applebloom was about to say something but then Luna arrived from the air landing right beside the Arwing. “Are your weapons repaired Falco?”
“Let’s hope so.” I closed the panel and jumped into the cockpit, he pressed a couple of buttons. “It looks like the weapon chip is holding up for now but I don’t know for how long.”
Luna nodded. “Then I suggest you hurry, I will head back to Canterlot to deal with the situation.”
“Hang on a minute.” Falco threw something at her, Luna caught it her magic.
She looked at it, then she gave Falco a confused look. “What am I supposed to do with this?”
“It’s a headset, it lets us talk when am in battle. Just put it on your head like I do.” He put his on head and Luna mimic him, he then closed the roof to the cockpit. “Can you hear me?”
When Luna hear Falco voice in her headset she was shocked. “What kind of black magic is this?”
Falco rolled his eyes when he heard that. “It’s not magic its technology, this is better than have you in my head.” He looked over to Applejack who had worried face, he just gave her a thumb up. “I’m heading to Canterlot.”
Luna nodded. “Alright, good luck.”
Falco pressed some buttons and the Arwing stared to move, the ship stared to float, he hit the accelerator and the Arwing flew towards Canterlot and the enemy ship.
“I’m also heading back.” Luna looked at the apple family. “I think it’s best that you all stay here, I will back when it’s all over.”
Luna was about to teleport herself to Canterlot. “Wait, princess Luna.” Luna raised an eyebrow. “That bird ow me a date, I want you to promise that you bring him back.”
Luna gave Applejack a reassuring smile. “I promise Applejack, he will return.” She then teleported herself to Canterlot.
Applebloom walked over to her sister. “Applejack, what’s going on and where’s Falco going?”
Luna had teleported herself to her bedroom, she walked over to her balcony to see the damage the enemy had caused. She couldn’t believe what she saw, buildings were destroyed, smoke was coming out from them. She could see her sister’s guards, who was unicorns. They were trying to destroy the drones but their magic just reflected of them.
She decided to try out the headset. “Where are you Falco? It looks really bad down there.”
“I’m close, eta two minutes.”
Luna was amazed over that. “That was fast.”
“My Arwing if fast, even if it’s working at fifty percent.”
Then Luna door was open with a force that shock the entire room, in walked her sister and she was not happy.
“I have to talk to you later Falco, my sister just walked into my room.”
“Got it, talk to you later.”
The headset became quiet, Luna turned around to face her sister. “What do I owe this visit my dear sister?” Luna asked Celestia.
Celestia walked straight to sister. “I want to know why you let the prisoner out of his cell.”
Luna couldn’t believe what believe what she heard. “Seriously? That’s your concerns? Canterlot is under attack from an enemy we have never faced before and all you care about that I released your prisoner, what the hell is wrong with you?”
“Don’t you dare question me, Falco is part of this new enemy and belongs in jail.”
Little did the two sister that while they were arguing a drone was heading towards Luna’s bedroom, it didn’t get were far before it exploded. The sister looked outside and saw Falco in his Arwing giving them a saluted, he then turned his Arwing towards Canterlot to take on the drones.
Luna pointed a hoof at what just happened. “If Falco really was the enemy he wouldn’t have saved us right now.”
Celestia walked towards the door, she stopped and looked over her shoulder. “When this is over, Falco is going back into his cell and then you and I are going to have a long talk.” She walked out of the room leaving Luna alone.
Luna couldn’t help but wonder what wrong with Celestia, the one she just had a talk with was not the one she remember a thousand years ago, she sighed and decide to see what was happening with the city. She could see Falco Arwing destroying several drones, she decide to ask how he’s doing.
“You okay out there Falco?”
“I’m doing great, these drones were designed to reflect magic not blasters. They are dropping like flies.”
Meanwhile on the enemy ship Hubert was looking through the window in the command center and he was not happy, he turned around. “Major, send out some more drones to attack that Arwing. Bring it down, NOW.” They all saluted and got to work.
Over the city Falco had just shot down two more drones. “This is easy, I’ll be done before I know it.” Then he saw more drones coming out from the enemy ship. “Me and my big mouth.” He saw half of them flying towards the city while the rest of them was heading towards him. “Oh crap.” Then they stared to fire at him.
He had to make his ship to spin so the lasers would reflect of. ‘Why do I hear Peppy say do a barrel roll right about now.’ He thought as the Arwing stopped spinning, he then hit the accelerator. “Try and hit me now you worthless piece of junk.” Then he saw green energy fly past him. “You did not just shoot the green shit at me.”
He hit the brakes on his Arwing and saw many drones fly past him, he basted some of them but it was to many of them. He manged to doge some of the laser but hit was also hit many times. ‘This not good, there are too many of them.’ He looked for a solution but there wasn’t any one. ‘I guess this is it.’
Luna watch from her balcony, helpless. As the drones continued to fire at Falco’s Arwing, she wished that she could help him but the drones were immune against her magic. Then she saw something that but a smile on her face.
“Falco, help is on the way.”
Now Falco was confused. “What help? Magic doesn’t work.” Right after he said that he saw flames destroying the drones that was attacking him. “But I guess that flames do.” He then saw two giant dragons fly by him, one of them looked like Spike father and sitting on top of him was Spike, he was waving to Falco.
Falco couldn’t help but smile, he saluted at Spike who saluted back. Falco watch as Spike dad destroyed more drones, he then looked at the other dragon, which he recognized at Drake. Destroying more drones, but when they did that more drones came out from the enemy ship.
“You got to be fucking kidding me.” He looked at the castle. “Luna, can you hear me?”
“Loud and clear Falco, what is it?”
“Can you communicate with the dragons?”
It was a short pause. “Yes, why do you ask?”
“Tell them to attack he main ship, where the drones are coming put from. If we take it down then it will be all over.”
“Got it, I tell sir Drake right away.”
Luna horns stared to glow. ‘Sir Drake, can you hear me?’
'Yes Luna, what can I do for you?’
‘I need you and Spike’s father to attack that giant metal thing in the sky, if we take that down then we will win.’
Drake looked at what she was talking about. ‘It shall be done.’ Drake flew towards the enemy ship with Rock Crusher closed behind, Spike was destroying the drones that was coming near his father with his own flame. Both dragons cast magic fire beams towards the ship, but it just bounced of the shield that was protecting it.
“Are you shitting me? I should have guess that the main ship shields are stronger that the drones.” He stared to hit his head. “Stupid, stupid, stupid.” He was about to go into the battle again but then out of nowhere a drone manged to strike him with a blast, then smoke came out of his Arwing.
Luna was watching the hole thin. “Falco, are you okay? Smoke is coming out in front of your Arwing.”
Falco bushed some buttons on the dashboard. “Shit, that blast destroyed my weapons. I’m defenceless. FUCK.” He then stared to hit the dashboard.
“Then it’s all over” Luna said in a somber voice.
Falco looked at the enemy ship and then back at his own Arwing. ‘I can’t believe that I’m doing this for a bunch of ponies.’ He took a deep breath. “There’s one way to end it all tuts.”
Luna was confused when he said that. “What are you talking about?” Then she saw that the Arwing was headed towards the enemy ship, then she realized what Falco was doing. “Falco, stop. You can’t do it.”
“Magic can’t get through that shield, even dragons are powerless. Then only thing I can think off is ramming my Arwing through the commands center, it would start a chain reaction that would blow the ship up.”
“But, you won’t survive.” Said Luna in a worried tone.
“No, I won’t.” He stared to laugh a little. “I never thought that I would die in a land where ponies live.” He hit the accelerator to get more speed and to hit the ship even harder. “Tell AJ that I going to be late for our date.”
“I will and I’m sorry about this.”
“Don’t be tuts, this is my choice.”
Inside the enemy commands center, one of the monkeys was monitored the radar. He noticed the Arwing’s signature coming towards them, and it was in a hurry.
“Captain Hubert, the Arwing is coming towards and it’s looks like it’s not slowing down.” The monkey told Hubert.
Hubert look out the window and he was right, heading towards them was the Arwing and it was on a collision course. He then noticed the rest of his crew was just standing there.
“What the hell are you all waiting for? Shoot it down.”
They went into action, the pointed the weapons towards the Arwing and fired. It was hit multiple times but somehow it manages to keep going.
Inside the Arwing the spark was flying and Falco was bleeding. “Nice try assholes, but I’m ramming you all straight to hell.”
The Arwing was getting closer and closer, the weapons kept firing but it didn’t seem to help.
The major looked at Hubert. “You order sir?” Hubert said nothing so the major took control. “Abandon ship.” The crew stared to panic, all of them wanted to get of the ship as fast as possible. They stared to run towards the escape pods excepts Hubert.
He was standing there, looking at the Arwing which was coming closer and closer. He was terrified. “This can’t be happening.”
Back in the castle Luna was watching as the Arwing headed towards the enemy ship, she watch as the Arwing crash into the front of the enemy ship, then she saw small explosion in front of the ship. Then more explosions through the ship, then it stared to lose altitude. The ship was heading towards the outskirt of the town.
She watched as the enemy ship land on the ground creating more explosions, then it stopped. Luna could only stand there watching Falco sacrifice his life, she stared to cry.
“How am I going to explain this to Applejack?”
Then her sister entered the room again, this time with guards with her side. “Luna, we ned to talk.”
“This is not the right time sister.” Luna didn’t turn around, she just looked at the wreckage of the destroyed ship.
“I know that Falco sacrifice himself to save Canterlot.”
Luna wiped away the tears from her face. “I don’t know how you know that to be honest I don’t care right now, what do you want Celestia?” Luna asked with anger in her voice.
“It’s pain me Luna that I have to arrest you.”
Luna turned around and she was confused. “Arrest me? For what?”
“You let a criminal out of prison, therefore you aided the enemy.”
Luna just stared at her sister, trying to understand what just she said. “What’s wrong with you? You can’t arrest me, I’m one of the rules of Equestria.”
“You gave up that right when let out Falco. Guards, arrest her.”
The guards that was both unicorns drew their swords and pointed them at Luna, before they could arrest her she teleported away. Both of them just stood there, looking at where Luna was standing.
“What are you two standing there for? Got after her.”
Both guards ran out of the room as fast they could, leaving Celestia alone. She looked around her sister’s room on time, she was disappointed in her sister’s choice that lead them on this path. She walk out of the room closing the door after her.
Night has fallen in Equestria and lonely pony figure was coming out from one of the holes in destroyed enemy ship, he was holding some of the destroyed ships parts with his magic. He got an evil smile when he saw the parts.
“Yes, this will do nicely.” He then looked at the castle. “Soon I will have my revenge over you Celestia.”
