> Underneath The Mistletoe > by ShadyAwesomeness > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Underneath The Mistletoe > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your life seems so empty without her. You've done your best to forget about it, but you can't. Thanks to your clumsiness, you lost the only mare you love most. Everyday you would wake up only to remember the mess you caused. And everyday, you would remember how it affected between your relationship with her. You can remember clearly how she felt and how she dealt with it afterwards. It breaks your heart knowing that once she was done with you, she forced you out of her house. Since then you have not seen or spoken to her for months. Tears starts to leak out of your eyes once again. You wanted to cry but you couldn't. You wanted to scream, but you couldn't. All you could do is lay on the floor, curl into a ball and let your tears flow onto your cheeks. You cursed underneath your breath while shaking vividly not wanting to remember the incident again. But alas, the memory comes flowing back into your mind. Your thoughts were interrupted by someone knocking at your front door. It's nearly midnight and all of your family and friends had just left a few hours ago. You wonder who it could be. You slowly pick yourself off from the floor and start making your way towards the door. You then turn your doorknob as you opened the door. Whoever it is better give you an explanation on seeing you at this hour..... The moment you opened the door entirely, you were then caught off guard by somepony standing on your front porch. Out of all the ponies you thought you'd expected to see, you didn't expected to see- "Hi." says Rainbow Dash looking at you smiling softly. She was wearing a light blue hoodie and a white scarf around her neck. While you can't help but think how cute she looks, your mind starts racing with millions of questions. What is she doing here? Why is she here at this time? And why is she smiling at you!? You thoughts were once again interrupted when Rainbow Dash spoke up. "Uh are you gonna let me in?" she says giggling softly. "It's kinda cold out here and the snow is killing my hooves." "Oh of course!" you said clearing a path for Rainbow Dash. She walks inside with you walking behind her last. As soon as you close the door behind you, you turn around only to be face to face with Rainbow Dash. Before you had a chance to speak up, she grabs you by the neck and pulls you into a tight hug. "I'm sorry." Rainbow Dash says softly. "W-What?" you said completely confused. "I'm s-sorry for w-what I did." Rainbow Dash said tears coming out of her eyes. That's when it hits you. You finally know why she came to your house. It's all clear in your head. The sinking feeling starts coming back into your body and you can feel a wave of tears coming out of your eyelids. But you didn't wanted to cry, not yet. Instead you hug Rainbow Dash back wrapping your arms around her. You can feel her clinging onto your shoulders as her tears start to fall onto your fur. "Listen, why don't we talk in the living room alright." you said letting go of Rainbow Dash's embrace. The two of you walk silently into the living room with Rainbow Dash taking off her hoodie and as well her scarf. As the two of made your way onto the couch, your lungs start to fill up you almost had a difficult time breathing. You took a deep breath and turn your head to see Rainbow Dash looking at you tears still flowing down her blue cheeks. The two of you stare each in silence for a few moments before Rainbow Dash spoke up. "Listen, before you say anything, I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry for screaming and yelling at you on the day we broke up. I'm even more sorry for hitting you in the face. I- I didn't mean to do that. I just got so angry I just couldn't keep my anger to myself. I know it wasn't your fault, but, I just can't get over the fact that I hit you. I know you probably won't forgive me-" She starts to break down again only this time falling off the couch landing on the floor with a loud THUMP! You quickly got up from your couch and tried to hug her, but she kicks your hoof away. "No please, don't touch me!" she says glaring at you her face turning red from anger. Not wanting to watch her cry anymore, you throw your fore-hooves around Rainbow Dash embracing her as tightly as you could. She squirms and struggles trying to free herself off of your grasp only to stop as both of your eyes meet. The anger vanishes from her magenta eyes, and now all she can see is confusion. Without warning, you slowly press you lips on hers giving way to the subtle aroma of wild fruits and berries, and as wild as Rainbow Dash herself. Oh how much you missed the feeling kissing her lips. So soft, so warm and so smooth. You don't risk yourself going any further than her lips. Instead, your wings gently unfurl, wrapping around her like a feathered cocoon, demonstrating how much you care. How much your sorry. How much you.... forgive her. You slowly part from her lips and you look at her with a small smile on your face. She looks at you, her cheeks turning bright red, eyes widened with a very confused look on her face. "Rainbow Dash, I have something to say." you said softly. "I forgive you." Her eyes widened from your response. From the looks of it, she was expecting you to yell at her or kick her out of your house. But you didn't. Instead you hugged her in a warm embrace and kissed to passionately on her lips. "But why?" she asks. "Rainbow Dash, it's my fault that your family's Hearts Warming picture frame fell on the ground." you said. "If I had looked where I was going, none of this happened." "No it's my fault!" she says. "If I hadn't yelled at you and hit you in the first place, none of this would've happened!" She then looks away from you not wanting to look at you on the eye. You can't help but feel sorry for her. But this was your fault entirely. You were the one who broke her family photo, so there was no arguing that it was her fault. You gently lift her face up with your hoof, smiling softly at her. "Rainbow Dash, what happened was my fault, not yours." you said. If I looked to were I was going, none if this would've happened in the first place. Stuff like this happen all the time and I don't blame you for hitting me in the head. I forgive you and that's all that matters." You then pull her into another hug this time wrapping both your hooves and legs around her body pressing your chest on hers. Your heart beats loudly indicating how close you are to her body. She then wraps her hooves around your back as she rests her head on your shoulder. For the next few minutes you and Rainbow Dash stayed in the same position hugging each other and sharing each other's warmth. You didn't want to let go and you can tell that Rainbow Dash doesn't want to let go either. You could feel her face moving towards your ear. "I missed you." she says cooing in your ear. "I missed you too." you said moving your face to meet hers. There were still tear marks in her cheeks. You gently brush them away with your hoof. Rainbow Dash soon looks up only to giggle. "What?" you asked. "Heh, look up." she says. You look up to on what it appears to be your family's mistletoe dangling on top of the two you. You didn't know why you kept it, but sometimes it comes in handy for special occasions. Normally you'd put it on top of the front door just to tease your parents and as well as your friends. Huh, yeah." you said smiling. You gently lifted her cheeks and you brought her in for another kiss. You wrap both if your hooves around her waist while she wraps both of her hooves around your neck. Before you know it, you start to lay her down on the couch, climbing on top of and straddling her.  Rainbow Dash puts no struggle to you being on top of her as she lets out a cute moan. For months you thought your life was over. For months you thought your life would be nothing without her. But tonight, all of those thoughts slowly fade away now that she is here in your house kissing you passionately letting out all of the pain and sorrow off of your soul. With the mistletoe still dangling on top of the fire place, with both of you sharing each other's warmth of love. After a few minutes of kissing, Rainbow Dash soon let's out a yawn as she hugs closely to your chest. It isn't long before you begin to hear cute little snores coming from her. Not long after that, your eyes slowly close as well. "Happy Hearts Warming Rainbow Dash, I love you." you said softly in her ear as you drift off to sleep.
