A pegasus named Night Blaze is murdered then comes back in a strange state.

Night Blaze couldn't of been more happy. She had the greatest school, greatest friends and she seemed to be great at almost everything... That is, until she was murdered. The young mare was alowed to come back... just in a, um, different state.

Rated TEEN just in case. There may be some... um... more violent cases in this fiction... Just a warning.

"Hey! Night Blaze? You comin'?" Called Frost Berry and I nodded happily. I burst into the sky, only the slightest rays of sunlight coming through. I always loved getting up this early. No pony was around and everything was silent. I torpedoded into the dark blue sky where stars were still shining and twinkling brightly, as if saying 'goodbye' to the night and 'hello' to the day.

"You don't have to show off!" Called Rain Puddle, shaking her head then laughing. Frost Berry and she were both Earth ponies while I was a pegasus. They still loved to watch me do tricks and everything, though. They were good sports.

"Alright, alright. I'm coming down." I muttered and folded my wings in so I could trot with them. We said nothing to each other for a while until we reached my house. They both were in awe everytime we went here: Let's face it, my house was huge.

It had three floors and each had it's own bathroom. I was an only child though, so I saw no point in that. On the roof, you could see the sun rising and setting perfectly. Of course, I wasn't always happy with my life.

Yes, I am rich... er, was, but that's what made it terrible. Some ponies would try to be my friend just for the awesome gifts and popularity. I sure hope Frost Berry and Rain Puddle aren't like that.

Anyway, we went in to the 'mansion' as my friends would call it and, of course, nobody was there. My mother had to work extra long hours since my father died so, I never got to see her much. She was always either on a business trip or at work in Ponyville. Eh, it was okay... I guess?

We climbed the stairs to the very top and waited... and waited... and waited. Until finally, it happened. The sunlight peaked over the mountains, leaving a beautiful glow lighting up the fresh grass. After that, the light followed to brighten the small lake that was near 'the mansion'. And finally, it lit up my house, making all the stained glass light up and dance across the floor. My friends gasped in awe: This was their first time seeing it. Frost pounded on the roof.

"Wow..." Was all he said and Rain Puddle nodded in agreement.

"Told you guys you would like it." I whispered and they both nodded eagerly. I flopped down on the roof, resting enjoying the warm sun. They both stared at me, then at each other, then back at me.

"Uh... What is it?" I asked then closed my eyes again. The both took a deep breath.

"WE'RE GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!!" They exploded in unison and I nearly fell off the roof.

"Oh... Crap." I said then bolted down stairs, grabbed my stuff, took an apple then rushed out the door.

When I arrived at class, almost everypony was already there. Even those stupid fillies: 'The Cutie Mark Crusaders'. I chuckled evily at them then sat in my desk in the back of the class. No, I wasn't in class... I'm not stupid. I was there to observe Miss Cheerilee. That's right, I'm a student teacher. Of course, I didn't want this job... I wanted to be a racer! But mom had other ideas.

"Welcome Class!" Said Miss Cheerilee in the too-happy voice. I rolled my eyes and started to take notes. "Today we will be learning about grammar!" Everypony in the class groaned. I couldn't blame them.

The day passed on as usual: The teacher boring all the fillies to death. When I was finally excused, one of those little idiots crashed into me, making all my papers fly every direction.

"Oh! I sorry, Miss Blaze!" Said the filly. I groaned and started picking up all my papers, then I realized that it was Apple Bloom. I turned my frown into a sly grin, thinking I could have some fun with this raw mind.

"I-i-it's alright... I'm j-just really sc-scared is a-all." I said timidly, twitching my hoof and looking around nervously. I got a confused look from the filly who came closer to me.

"Whah happened?" She asked and I jerked my head so I was staring her in the eye.

"They say that a hungry dragon is on the loose in town... Looking for small fillies to chew on." Apple Bloom gulped and looked around.

"T-then why are you scared? You ain't a filly." She said and slunk down, forgetting that detail. I quickly came up with an excuse.

"Oh, I'm not scared for myself. I'm scared for... You." I whispered and put a hoof on her chest. She then turned around to run away and I saw this as my chance. I grabbed a strong, big leaf and curled it up, making a megaphone kind of thing, then yelled into it. The out going sound was in resemblance of a dragon. Apple Bloom screamed and scampered home, yelling all the way.

I broke out laughing on the dirt, rolling on my back until it hurt. I sighed then trotted home, applauding myself for a job well done.

I was on the roof again, this time alone and staring up at the night sky. I saw a shooting star and decided to make a wish. I closed my eyes and said it out loud:

"I wish that things could be different and unique. That someone will like me for who I am." I whispered then opened my eyes. I sighed. I didn't feel any different... I guessed it didn't work. Suddenly, I felt a push from behind with something sharp... Like a knife. I barely had time to say 'Ow!' before I was plumeting to my death, off of my house and to the unforgiving ground below. These are a few thoughts that passed my mind:

I wonder if it hurts dying.

Wow, that knife really hurt.

There's probably a blood river streaming behind me from where that cut is.

Hey! Why don't I fly away?

Oh, that's right: THAT IDIOT POKED ME IN THE WING WITH HIS/HER LITTLE BUTCHER KNIFE!!!

Who would murder me?

Why would they murder me?

I wonder what's on TV right now.

What will mom think when she sees my dead body on the ground, covered in blood?

Aw Man! I left the oven on in the kitchen!

I hope they do my funeral outside...

What if-

That was when I hit the ground... Yeah... It didn't really hurt, more like a distant oof! from somewhere unknown. When I woke up, you'll never believe what happened...
