It was 6:25.

Nobody should really be at school after 5 but not for these students, they had fallen behind on work and both were determined to finish. Unfortunately, both of the girls had to leave at 6:30, as that was the time the school doors locked automatically. Sunset groaned at the question that laid ahead of her; she was in the science lab with Fluttershy. She stared blankly at the question, "How the fuck am I supposed to know why people put salt on the sidewalk when it snows... I fucking hate this lesson," She began scribbling out the whole question, which caught Fluttershy’s attention.

Lately, Fluttershy had been feeling sorry for Sunset, she just wasn't quite there, as she's been cutting herself from the group recently. Fluttershy couldn't blame her, though, Rainbow Dash and Applejack had gotten into a fight, and have been arguing for weeks now. They can't even stand each other.

Fluttershy just stared at Sunset as she continued to scribble out the question. "Poor Sunset..." Sunset gave up completely. Fluttershy's eyes gazed at the clock, 6:25 "We should go Sunny," she said in her timid voice.

"Yeah, you're right,"

Sunset grabs her bag, stands up and crumples up her test paper and tosses it in the bin. Fluttershy gasps,

"Sunset!"

"What? It's just a stupid test,"

"That's due tomorrow..."

"Shit... Aw well," She laughed a little as Fluttershy rolled her eyes. Sunset went over to Fluttershy and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Don't worry about it Shy, I'll just say that it got wet so I threw it away,"

"But it's in the bin... in the classroom,"

Sunset groans, "God, give me your water bottle," Fluttershy put her bag on the table and searches her bag. When she finds her water bottle she pulls it out of the bag, handing it to Sunset. "Thank you,"

Sunset walks over to the bin whilst unscrewing the bottle lid in the process. She stands next to the bin and begins to pour water into the bin. Fluttershy just stood and shook her head as she watched Sunset pour all of the bottle’s contents into the bin, wrecking her test paper. When the bottle was empty, she shook the bottle and tossed it into the bin, "Now can we go?"

"Yes, but when you get told off, don't come crawling back to me,"

Sunset smiled, "Alright, deal," The two walk out of the classroom and Fluttershy turns off the light.

The hallways were pitch black, so Sunset pulled her phone out of her pocket and put her flashlight on as they walked down the hallway. It was thundering outside, and the rain smacked against the window that was towering above the two. Fluttershy holds onto Sunset as they walk down the corridor, Sunset looked back at her.

"You're not scared of thunder are you?"

"As a matter of fact, I am,"

"Really?" Sunset stops and looks at her,

"Yes,"

"I never knew you were scared of thunder,"

Fluttershy looks at her blankly, "Mainly because I'm not with you when it happens, let's just go before we get locked in."

Sunset continues to walk down the corridor, with Fluttershy holding onto her arm. As they made their way down the corridor, the weather only got worse, but eventually, both of them arrive at the main doors. Sunset tries to open them but it’s no use. Fluttershy then starts to panic, Sunset assures her that there is another way out, and tells Fluttershy to wait where she is and call Rarity to tell her that they will be late as she went to search around the school. Fluttershy got her phone out of her bag, unlocks her phone and calls Rarity. It rings a few times before she picks up.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Rarity.... It's Fluttershy um... we have a problem,"

"What is it dear?"

"I think me and Sunset are locked in school..."

"Whatever makes you think that?"

"It's 6:40, and the doors are locked..."

"Where’s Sunset?"

"Gone to find a way out,"

"No use darling, stay put and I'll get a hold of Principal Celestia or Vice Principal Luna,"

"Okay..." Fluttershy hung up as Sunset came running back, "We’re going to be stuck in here for a while,"

Fluttershy looked up at Sunset, they can't be stuck in the school. There was no light, no way out and a bloody thunderstorm was happening outside, which the school might not be able to withstand. Fluttershy looked down, "We can't.... I want to get out of here,"

"I know you do. Rarity will be worrying about you,"

“She's trying to get ahold of Principal Celestia to get us out of here,"

"See that's good, now come on, we'll hide out in a place where I stayed for months," Sunset grabbed Fluttershy's hand and dragged her away from the main door. Being her shy, timid self she started to become more and more uncomfortable being locked in the school. Sunset takes Fluttershy down into the school's basement, except Shy doesn't like the fact that the School's basement was so small, as she can get very claustrophobic. Fluttershy begins to breathe heavily but stops as Sunset takes her into a bigger room. It had a bed, but that’s about it.

"Sorry for panicking you back there, but this is where I stayed when I first came here from Equestria," Fluttershy nodded, "Cleaned it up since,"
Fluttershy and Sunset both sit on the bed; which is just a mattress on the floor with bed sheets over it. As the weather became worse, the corner of the room started leaking. That was the last straw for Fluttershy; "Why couldn't we leave earlier?!"

"Woah, Fluttershy?"

"No! I wanted to spend tonight with Rarity, but no! You asked me to stay behind with you and help you with extra work, but you made me stay behind for the exact same reason! I can't take it anymore!"

Sunset was flabbergasted at Fluttershy's hidden rage. Fluttershy gets up, "I'm going to wait upstairs," Fluttershy storms off in rage. Sunset didn't like this version of Fluttershy.

Fluttershy closed the basement door. As she walked through the school, she noticed that the walls had gotten damp, and knew that the school wouldn’t be able to withstand the current weather condition. She looked out of the main door’s window’s; the whole street was filled with water, the drains overflowing. The water was rising at a constant speed, and Fluttershy prayed that she would be safe.
Looking back, her gaze went down the corridor that the music room was at the end of. She smiled and made her way down, the sound of her heels hitting the ground bounced off the wall, causing it to echo. She eventually reached the music room. Arriving at the door she put her bag down and looked through it for the key. She was given the responsibility to look after the only key, and after two minutes she yanked the key out of her bag, zipped it up, put it on her back and unlocked the door. The first thing she saw was the window, and around the sides, water was slowly dripping down. Was there any place in the entire school that wasn't leaking or damp? She smelt the dampness in the room as the sides were drenched. She threw her bag next to a chair and went to investigate the window. Looking at the frame, she saw cracks and it looked like if anything remotely touched it, it would give way. Fluttershy sighed and walked to the chair she threw her bag near and sat down. Then it hit her on how she shouted at Sunset, it wasn't her fault, to begin with. All Fluttershy wanted to do was spend time with the one she loved, Rarity. But since she stayed behind she couldn't do that. Fluttershy let out a frustrated groan and leant over, placing her head in her hands. She took a deep breath.

Crack

Her head shot up, "What was that?" She got up and looked around the practice room, nothing seemed to be broken. Her first instinct was that she might have to leave the room because the window was breaking. She acted quickly and rushed over to the window, pushing Pinkie's drums out of the way to check the window out; nothing. The window looked exactly the same as she saw it before. She sighed in relief, she didn’t have to leave the room. Fluttershy walked back to the chair once again and looked up at the roof.

Crack

Fluttershy was now scared, looking around once again. "What is that noise?" Looking down she felt the ground underneath her sink in, and give way. Fluttershy falls down, a huge crater formed beneath her. The floor suddenly sinks down further and Fluttershy starts to fall and screams as she lands on a hard platform instantly hurting her back. She rolls over and groans in pain. She sits up and looks over the edge of the platform to see that the floor continues to sink. Suddenly, Fluttershy notices dust falling from the ceiling. She looks up a second too late as a piece of the floor lands on her leg.

Crunch

Fluttershy screamed once again, tears forming in her eyes. Looking down, blood began to stream out of her leg like a waterfall. She began screaming for Sunset, but nobody was there to hear her. She slammed her fist against the floor in frustration but realised that she just made a big mistake. She feels a gush of wind and hears glass hitting the floor. Soon after water came rushing in, soaking her, and the sinkhole only seemed to get bigger, "SUNSET!!!!"

***

Sunset looked down from the mattress and leant back, Fluttershy has never snapped at her like that. She couldn't blame her. She was the main reason why both of them were stuck in the school. Sunset got up. "I'm not going to leave her side for the night, " Sunset grabbed her bag and looked around for one last time. She smiled at the memories and began walking upstairs. Suddenly, she heard a loud crash, it sounded like a truck just crashed into the school. Sunset began panicking and rushed upstairs as fast as she could, praying that Fluttershy was okay. Barging through the basement door, the main hallway looked fine, then she heard a call for her name "SUNSET!!!!" Sunset acted quickly; she rushed down the corridor, she doesn't care about what Fluttershy did, all she cared about was that Fluttershy was alright. Arriving at the end of the corridor, she saw water coming out of the practice room doors. She opened the door and was about to rush in when she noticed that the floor in front of her was 6 feet underground and was still sinking down, and spotted that the window was wide open. If she could just get over the sinkhole, she would be able to stop the water. Sunset began jumping from side to side, her foot landed on an edge which made her slip and bangs her chin against the floor, she cried in pain. She then heard Fluttershy's voice,

"Sunset?! Are you okay?"

"I'm fine Fluttershy..." She lifts herself from the ground and rushes over to the window, closing it as quickly as possible. She then rushed over to the giant sinkhole, leaning over the edge she saw Fluttershy and what state she was in.

"It's okay... I'm here now,"

"It hurts...."

Sunset tried to climb down but the decayed ground below her was causing her to slip a little. Fluttershy gasped, but soon she found out that Sunset had a tight grip, "I know, it looks like it hurts. I’m trying my best to get to you," That's when both girls hear a siren. Sunset looked out the window. The streets were still flooded, but far in the distance, she could see a hurricane. Sunset's eyes widened, which caught the attention of Fluttershy.

"What is it Sunny?"

"A fucking hurricane,"

Fluttershy began to panic a lot, this just wasn't her day. She tried to push the huge chunk of the floor off her leg but it only hurt her leg more. Fluttershy cried out in pain as more blood oozed out.

"Don't move, it will only make the pain worse,"

Fluttershy then just laid back, as there was nothing she could do about the current situation. Sunset risked it, and climbed back up and ran to the other side of the room. She jumped down next to Fluttershy, causing the sinkhole to sink even more. Sunset started to slip but caught herself.

"I will get you out," Sunset walked over to the huge chunk of the floor; which was on Fluttershy’s leg. She began pushing it. It began to move slowly, causing Shy to groan in pain. Sunset felt sorry that she had to put her through so much pain. After a minute of pushing, the chunk eventually falls off of Shy’s leg and down the sinkhole. Sunset bent down and picked Fluttershy up off the ground. "I've got you..." Shy smiled in response, Sunset placed Fluttershy on the ground out of the sinkhole as she climbed up out of it. Once she was out of the sinkhole, Sunset picked her back up and started walking. That's when they felt the whole building shake. Fluttershy turned her head around to see the hurricane outside the window, "Sunny?!"

"Yep,"

"The... Hurricane..."

"On it..."

Sunset began running, getting as close to the wall as she could to avoid falling back into the death trap. She reaches the door as the window was blown off. Fluttershy watched it happen, "Sunny!"

Sunset began running down the corridor, she was quickly thinking of where the safe place would be when she remembered that the safest place would be in another world with a certain pony princess. Maybe she could fix Fluttershy but it hit her, the portal is outside. Sunset skidded around the corner, "There is a bunker underground..." Shy said as Sunset nodded,
"Alright.."

Sunset stopped to catch her breath only to feel a powerful wind try to blow them away, Sunset carried on running. She had to get downstairs. She rushed over to the basement stairs and hurried down them, turning left. If she went left then right, it would take them to Sunsets old room but if she went right, right then a left she'd be at the bunker. Sunset chose the latter option and arrived at a steel door. Sunset opened it and went inside, closed it and placed Fluttershy down on the chair, Sunset was out of breath. She eventually passes out.
Fluttershy relaxes her body as Sunset rests. She's done a good job, and if she didn't save her... she'd be dead. Feeling grateful that Sunset saved her, Fluttershy laid down next to her friend and huddled up with her to protect her from whatever happens. She'll do her best to protect her.

Even if it kills her.
