ch. 1 the biginning
Hi I'm Skyguardian here with the story of how Ditzy hooves found the Rhythm Of Life. Let’s begin. As the day in Ponyville came to an end, Ditzy had just finished her shift delivering the mail. It had been complete chaos winter wrap had just finished and everypony was receiving copious amounts of mail. As Ditzy walked into her home, Dinky, her adopted daughter, came racing through the house and lept up and gave her a hug.
Holding the filly for a bit before breaking the embrace, Ditzy proceeded to remove a gift from her bag and give it to Dinky. "What is it?" The unicorn filly asked.
Ditzy just smiles and kissed her on the forehead. "Go ahead and open it, then you will know what it is" she says as she followed Dinky to the kitchen.
As the filly moved to the table, Ditzy decided that she would bake some chocolate chip muffins with her daughter, so that they could enjoy them after dinner.
A heavy yawn greets her as she slowly wakes from her slumber. It had been a hard week, but now that is was the weekend, she had decided to spoil Dink and would use some of her hard earned bits to buy breakfast for the two of them.
After a tasty treat, they took a stroll through the bustling village, and headed towards one of Dinky’s friend’s houses. As the filly scampered inside, Ditzy turned and started to make her way back home. About halfway there, she heard something. Something called, no, whispered her name. In her mind, she heard it repeating: "Ditzy, Ditzy come to me.”
Her first thought was to get help from Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship. "But what is it?" she thought.
She couldn't help it as her body started moving toward it, her curiosity getting the better of her. Reaching a hoof out, she touched the object before crying out as her world went black.

Her eyes opened slowly, almost lazily. She didn't want to wake up from the feeling of pure comfort for it was as if she was simply floating in mid-air. But she needed to see where she was. Looking around, she realized that something happened and now Ditzy was somewhere dark.
Suddenly, she stood on a cloud that seemingly came from nowhere. A glowing path appeared and appeared to be beckoning her to proceed forward, away for the safety of the cloud.. As she started to walk down this glowing pathway, glowing, white music notes floated up alongside the path. Then, the music began. The rhythm started soft before picking up. Soon, it was joined by sweet and vibrant melody.
"This is amazing" Ditzy thought as the tune flowed smoothly from low, opening notes, swelling to the high notes before returning to a calming melody. As she neared the end of the path, a pedestal came into view with a statue on top of it. Sitting on the statue’s raised right hoof sat a white sphere covered with shimmering music notes colored gold. As Ditzy neared the statue it seemed to glow with a golden light.
"Take this relic. Take it and present it to an element." The statue’s voice echoed in her mind. "The Element of Magic."
The statue had talked! Ditzy was surprised, as statues weren't supposed to talk.
"It is the rhythm of life" the statue’s fading voice echoed as she neared the glowing sphere.
Just as she picked it up in her hooves, a bright light flashed and engulfed her world.
"Oof. That kinda hurt." Ditzy muttered after she landed on her back from her fall.
"Ditzy are you okay!?" A voice called out. Looking around she saw Twilight Sparkle, the Element of Magic, looking at her, concern etched into her face. Their heads turned as the sound of the sphere rolling away.
"What is that?" Twilight asked.
To which Ditzy simply replied "I guess it wasn't a dream."
<<<AFTER THE LIGHT>>>
"Wait. So you went into a different world, and picked up this orb because some voice asked you to nicely?" Twilight asked as she helped Ditzy get settled on the couch.
Ditzy only nodded in response to Twilight's question.
"How did you get there dear?" Rarity asked, which was quickly followed by a "Yeah" from Rainbow Dash.
"And why did the statue ask you to give this to me" Twilight asked.
"Let’s not overwhelm her girls.” Fluttershy said. “She needs some space after being through whatever happened."
"I don't know," replied Ditzy. "I just walked toward the voice and then I was somewhere dark. When I stood up, a cloud was under me and a glowing path came out of nowhere. Since I didn't have anywhere else to go, I walked along the path and that led me up to a pedestal."
"Was the statue on the pedestal?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah it was. It just started to glow suddenly before it began to talk. It said to give that ball to the Element of Magic. I'm guessing that's one of the Elements of Harmony." Derpy said.
"Oh my!!" Rarity gasped as she examined the orb.
"What is it Rarity?" Twilight asked, turning to her friend.
"There's a mute spell on this!" Rarity exclaimed as she looked back at Twilight. "Should we break the spell?"
"Mommy, you're here! Where were you?" Dinky cried out as she came running in.
"Sorry Twilight. I couldn't catch her" Spike panted
"That's alright Spike," Twilight said, "Just let her be with her mother."
"What are we going to do with the ball though, Twilight?" Asked Pinkie as she was bouncing up and down on the couch opposite of Ditzy.
"One minute Pinkie," Twilight said as her magic enveloped the sphere. Responding to Twilight’s magic, the orb began to play a melody sweeter than any they have heard before.
"Whoa! That's weird," Rainbow Dash said.
"Sweet Celestia! This music, It's simply divine!" Rarity exclaimed as her hooves clapped together in glee.
"Spike! I need a quill and paper, now!" Twilight said enthusiastically, nearly yelling.
"Got it Twilight!" Spike exclaimed as he pulled out the requested items.
"Spike, take a note. Dear Princess Celestia,
Today, one of my friends found a magical orb that plays the sweetest music I've ever heard. I am writing to ask for any information you might have regarding the orb.
Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle."
Once the letter was finished, Spike rolled it up and used his Dragon Breath to send the letter off to Canterlot.
"Ok, that takes care of that. Now we just need to find out where you went Ditzy," Twilight said all of the Elements turned to face the grey pegasus.
