Once a normal knight, now a hollow soul in armour. When a Brass Knight wanders into Ponyville, how will the ponies react?

There was once a group that inhabited Equis with it's other races, not much was known about them except their name, the Humans. They were thought to be very aggressive and would attack all other species on Equis, yet others thought they were extremely helpful and merciful. Both thoughts were correct for the two separate sectors the Humans were in. The Ironblades, only peace is aloud in this sector all Humans begin here, getting separated at any sigh of aggression.

The second sector was the Brass Inquisitors, the main military might of the Humans, all here had no mercy and would stomp out any opposition with ease. But the Humans suddenly disappeared, all of their kind gone. Except their buildings, temples, tools and the Brass Inquisitiors. Forever trapped in their armour, slowly going insane. Now hollow suits of brass armour, only filled will hate, wanderer the world of Equis. Some hunt these suits of armour for an easy trophy, not a single one of those hunters come back. So what happens when an Brass Knight of the Brass Inquisitors wanderers into Ponyville, it's armour still shinning like a mirror?

Chapter 1 - Beastly Rage...

View Online

Brass Knight POV

I growl and slam my glaive through the head of the wooden wolf, the twentieth to be precise, and with a roar I stomp the wooden corpse to splinters. I snap my gaze to another wooden wolf, trying to escape. I growl again and sprint at the beast with my glaive to my side, it attempts to yelp, until my glaive shatters it. The other wooden wolves sprint away, deeper into the woods. I merely growl, turn and start walking in a random direction, my glaive resting on my shoulder. As I walk I inspect it, it's brass surface still had a mirror-like shine to it. It had ingravings in the head, a torn cloth was wrapped along the pole, it had words written along its surface but I have long since forgot their meaning. Suddenly I hear a rustle from a nearby bush. Instead of calmly asking who was there, like a normal person. I roar and swung my glaive downwards at the bush, the inhabitant was soon revealed to be a purple unicorn. But I didn't care, it was prey and I was the only apex predator around...

Twilight Sparkle POV

I groan and look at the map again. "Where did I get lost? I was following the path." I say to myself and look up from the map, to see a Timberwolf get absolutely destroyed into splinters by a strange metal thing. I gasp and then almost scream as more Timberwolves run at me. But I didn't scream, they ran past me.

"What the..?" I think aloud, but then as a stomping sound suddenly found itself in my ears, I quickly look around and leap into a bush. I cring as I rustles loudly, but then I see two metal pillars just a few metres ahead of my bush. I was about to think why two pillars were here, but a humongous roar startled me out of my thinking so badly, I fell out of the bush and I was glad I did. The strange metal monster obliterated the bush I was just in, I took a moment to examine the monster.

It was made of a brass or bronze metal, with a mirror-like shine to it, then I realised it was armour. It stood well above me, it must be over 6 or 7 hooves, It's head was covered by a roaman helmet, it looked modified as a blank visor covered the front, not seen in any books I've read. It's armour was much thicker then Royal Guard armour, a torn white cape hung from it's neck, a strange emblem on it. I gasped as I recognised the emblem, it was from a book I read. The Brass Inquisitors, it was three swords inside a orange hexagon. Then I realised the strange metal pole in it's grasp was a very large spear-like weapon, then I notice the monster was looking me in the eye and how it had it's weapon was swinging towards me.

Brsss Knight POV

I stare into the tiny unicorn's eyes as I begin to swing my glaive at it's neck, then I suddenly feel a strange feeling as it's horn lights up. Then I feel myself getting pushed back, my glaive missing by millimetres. I growl and swipe my free arm across my body, the strange feeling fades and the unicorn stumbles backwards. Without hesitation I run forward and quickly raise my left foot to crush the little annoyance and just as my armoured foot was about to snuff out another life, it's horn glows again and a flash explodes in under of my boot. I raise my foot to see no blood, I growl and turn to see the unicorn with a terrifyed expression a few metres away. I swing my glaive around and try to smash the unicorn into the tree next to it, another flash and my glaive hits the tree. Slowly I turn around and see the purple unicorn appear in another flash, I stare at it as I pull my glaive out of the tree. I point at it with my free hand, it's expression changed into shock then confusion. Then I roar again, pull back my glaive and then thrust at the tiny and pitiful unicorn. I watch as the glaive glows as it goes back, then as it goes forward it unleashes the power of lightning. I look at the unicorn as the lightning slams into it's body, it screams and convulses on the ground. I notice it's eyes staring at me, so I grab my visor and lift it...

...The unicorn's expression was the best thing I've ever seen, it's face pales and it's eyes widen until they were larger then dinner plates. I let my visor fall into place as I mentally grin with excitement. But as the unicorn tries crawl away, I slowly lose my mental grin and walk towards it, my foot ready to snuff out life of that pest. But I hear a noise, apparently as well as the unicorn, and stop my walking.

Then suddenly something hits my shoulder, it barely moves it but I felt it. So when I turned around I also swung my glaive around too, it narrowly missed a blue pegasus flying around. I look down and notice the pegasus wasn't alone, an orange pony and white unicorn held their ground. Until I roared and thrusted my glaive between the pair, it missed but I was ready. As the two jumped to the side, I reached out for the white unicorn. I grab the struggling pest and raise it up to my visor but I stop as the orange pony turns around to kick my leg. I mentally laugh as I tap the orange pony with my boot, sending it flying into a tree. But then that strange feeling came back, I turn my gaze onto the white unicorn and feel anger. It was trying to open my fist to free iteslf so I growl and casually toss the unicorn into the air, watching it as it hits the pegasus and then as they both fall to the ground. I stare at the three newcomers and then turn back to my original prey, then as I lock onto the unicorn it makes that infuriating flash. I quickly turn as a second and third flash appers around the newcomers, but I really didn't care. So then I turn and start walking again, in another random direction. Completely unaware that a certain village was in that direction...

Chapter 2 - ...Encounters Prey

Back at Ponyville

The sounds of faint roaring and heavy thuds were unnerving the residents of Ponyville, many of whom were already locking doors and boarding up windows, the rest were just keeping an eye out as they walked. But that was interrupted by the flash of purple magic, which startled a lot of Ponies and cause a few to bolt into their homes to hunker down. Then as the flash faded and four of the six Elements of Harmony were lying, battered and broken. The rest of the remaining Ponies gasped and run to get the injured Ponies to the Ponyville hospital.

"Oh my, Is that Twilight Sparkle?"

"Yeah, but what happened to her and her friends?"

"Sweet Celestia, what happened?

Many of the group were asking and answering each other, but they all fell silent as the ponies carrying Twilight, Rainbow, Rarity and Applejack entered the hospital. Nurse Redheart immediately rushed the injured ponies on hospital beds and called for more help, after the reinforcement of nurses came she was ready.

Brass Knight POV

I growl as I stomp on another pest in my way, a Cockatrice another causality of my warpath. I stop walking and look up through the leaves, taking in the sight of the sun. I think about a day has passed when I finally look down again and what I see was another pegasus, this time a peach coloured one. I watch as it picked flowers and placed them in a little bag on it's side, I was still watching as it bumped into my leg. It fell back, holding it's nose, and looked at what it bumped into. It's face was an exact match of when I showed that purple unicorn my face, my mental grin came back as the little pegasus crawled backwards. Then when it was a few feat away and was up and ready to run, I slamed my glaive directly in front of it's path.

Then it dropped to the ground.

I tilt my head and step closer, kneeling when I got closer to the body. From my height I couldn't tell if it was breathing, but I couldn't care less. I stood up and started walking from were the pegasus came, knowing that more prey was about to meet an apex predator.

It was about an hour when I saw a little cottage, so I walked over to it. Then, out of nowhere, a thousand animals and birds appeared and tried to attack me. Key word tried, I just sent a single bolt of lightning and watch as it strikes all of the animals, jumping off and landing on others. Soon not a single animal was standing, it pissed me off. Finally I turned and spotted a town, full of those pests. I moved into a sprinters position, holding my glaive in my left hand and keeping it aimed forward, then I let out a extremely loud roar. I could see buildings shake, little unicorns and ponies jump and faint. I then began my sprint as I moved to brake neck speeds, my boots made thunderous crashes as they connected with the ground. As the town grew closer, I turned towards one of their homes, still keeping my speed.

Random Ponyville Resident POV

I turn as a sudden thunderous noise began and got louder, wondering how that storm got here unnoticed. Just as I lay my eyes on a huge metal minotuar-like thing. It smashes though my house, my eyes widen and I fall to the ground.

"NOOOOOOOO!" I scream and shake a hoof at the metal monster, which didn't stop after it hit my home. "I will get my revenge!" I scream at the metal beast.

Brass Knight POV

I didn't stop as that pitiful house crumbled behind me, I merely ran through a few more then skidded to a stop. I lean over slightly and feel my armour slowly cool off as I see steam flowing from the gaps in it. As my armour recovers after my sprint, I scan around and ready my glaive. After all, who wouldn't want revenge on the one who destroyed their home? Finally I feel my armour cool off completely so I stand up and spot another pony, this time it was a hideous pink. I merely growl and move to stomp on the new pest, but just as I was about to raise my boot, that pony...

Disappears!?

I quickly spin around and slam my glaive into the ground, narrowly missing the pink pest. I swing my glaive a foot off the ground at the pest, but the pest jumps onto my glaive. I roar and let lightning run along my glaive and into the pest, but it jumps off at the last moment and begins to run circles around me. I keep my gaze on it and raise my glaive, ready to eliminate the pest. Suddenly it disappears and I feel a sudden weight on my shoulder, I mentally grin as I release the remaining steam that was still in my armour after the sprint. My grin widens as the pest falls off, heavily burned by the incredible heat of the steam. I look around at the damage I caused and my grin disappears, only a few buildings were destroyed. So I decided to change that, I roar as I swing my glaive at one of the nearby buildings. But then I stop, a new power has entered the battlefield.

I turn and see that the new power was another pest, this time with wings and a horn. It floated down and landed lightly. It had a white coat and a very angry look, I merely stared at it. It's horn glowed and I felt that feeling again, so I swung my arm across my body and felt the feeling disappear. But from that feeling I knew that this newcomer was powerful, and that I finally had found a challenge. I lifted two fingers to the side of my helmet and then pointed at the Power, opening a mental link. The Power looked confused, surprised then scared as I spoke in a deep and very gravelly voice.

"Ready? Because the Brass Inquisitors will not give you mercy, I'm not going to give you mercy. What I do now are is me following orders, my Legate's orders. Now to wipe you off this planet!" Then I charge towards the Power, with murderous intent.

Chapter 3 - Confrontion of Power

View Online

Brass Knight POV

I slam into a golden barrier, made by the Power. I snarl and headbutt the barrier, it shattered and I resumed my sprinting. The Power's horn glowed again and three projectiles appeared, sent speeding towards me. I barely felt the impacts and leapt into the air, the Power's face turned to surprise then determination. It flew up to meet me with a huge burst of speed, but unfortunately it wasn't ready for me to spin and whack it back downwards. I snarled and sent out a burst of lightning at the Power, it suddenly and surprisingly summoned a golden sword and dashed back. The lightning missed and I landed with a thunderous boom, quickly I raised my glaive to meet the speeding Power. But it suddenly stopped and sent out a powerful kick as it turned around, I stepped back at the force and raised my glaive again. But as the Power flies towards me, I thrust my glaive at it and a more powerful lightning bolt is unleashed, surprisingly the Power screams and is thrown back. I growl and start to sprint at the downed Power, rushing it before it can respond. I was just about to reach the Power when it's horn glows and it disappears in a flash, but I don't stop sprinting and slam my boot into the ground and use that to spin around. I spot the Power a few metres away and point my glaive to the side, waiting for the right time to strike. The Power teleports again, but I was ready and with a turn I slam my glaive down on the Power's right side. It screams as my glaive tears through it's wing and as it rips apart it's side, my gaze was locked onto the wound. Then I hear a sound, I turn and just see a dark blue shape slam into my chest. I get sent flying back, but I quickly stop myself by grabbing onto a building. I look up and find that another Power was in play and it had a horn, wings and was a dark blue. I stand up and grip my glaive in both hands, this one wasn't playing around. It flew at me with unreal speed and held a blue spear in it's magical grasp, quickly I tried to block the blow but it suddenly curved around me and dashed into my back. I tried to swing my glaive around but the Power was too fast and dashed up to my helmet, but it didn't attack. It instead touched it's horn on my vison, my vision starts to zoom out and I roar as my vision fades...

Inside the mind of the Brass Knight

I opened my eyes and gazed around, I was on a red land and a heavy orange mist filled the land. I pushed off the gound and stood up, with a quick glaze I noticed I wasn't in armour. But still I knew I was just the last part of a mind, my old mind. I turn and see a patch of grass and I walk towards it, a small dagger appeared in my hand. When I got to the grass, I knelt down on it, stabbed it with the dagger and stood back up. I grinned as the grass soon died and the patch was eaten by the red land, then I spotted a dark shape in the mist. I narrowed my eyes and sent the mist to oblivion, making it disappear and revealing the second Power. I moved towards it and, it in return, started walking towards me. It's face revealing nothing, same as mine. We stopped about two metres from each other, I stared as it began to look uncomfortable.

"Did you think for a moment, that you controled this land? Or that you thought entering my mind would give you a tactical advantage?" I said with little emotion, the Power stepped back and looked shocked. "Because my mind is nothing but what you see, red and empty. I knew when my vision faded that you entered my mind, so I disabled time around this area. Do not think that you will win." I stated and continued staring at the Power.

"Thou think that We would attack thou?" The Power asked, it's voice was of a younger woman. "You attacked our sister and my little ponies! We are defending our subjects!" She said in an angered tone.

"You were late, I almost killed five of the pests you call 'subjects. That isn't counting the lives endangered when I destroyed those buildings." I stated and stepped closer to the Power. "Do not think that because you are in my mind, I can't harm you. Because I can." I said and slammed a hand around the Power's throat, then I lifted her up to my eyes. "Now.. get out of my head." I bellow and throatslam the Power, the land disappeared and my vision zoomed out again.

In the real world

I headbutted the Power as my vision returned, sending it flying back into the other Power. I roar and start to sprint at the downed Powers, the ground cracking as I neared. Then I curve stomped the white one and swung my glaive like a golf club at the blue one, heavily crippling the pair of pests. I stepped back and let my armour cool down again, but I didn't move my gaze from the mangled bodies. Finally I turned and walked towards the forest, not a single pest was in my view. I pushed the trees in my way apart and entered the old forest, not sparing a glance to the two pillars of gold and dark blue and the two Powers hovering in them.

Chapter 4 - The Ruined Knights

View Online

Brass Knight POV

I look back for the forth time as the two pillars of light start to fade, shrugging I turn back around and push a collapsed tree out of my way, continuing as it rolls a few metres. I notice a stone pillar amongst the tree, covered in vines but it still showed bits of brass. I mentally grin and start jogging past the pillar, soon after I find an old ruin of the Brass Inquisitors and a number of Brass Knights. I start walking towards the entrance, stepping over and past fallen tree, vines and discarded weapons. But a Brass Knight steps in my way, holding it's glaive in a defensive matter.

"What business do you have here?" It asked in a copy of my voice.

"I request a meeting with your centurion." I reply and lift my glaive onto my shoulder. "A town of unworthy pests lies a few kilometres the way I came, I think that you knights would want to do something other than patrolling this outpost." I finished and waited for the Brass Knight to respond, it raised a hand and rubbed the chin of it's faceplate.

"Yes, I think that your discovery will please the centurion. I will let you pass, I feel that the centurion will allow this extermination." The Brass Knight says and moves to the side, allowing me passage to the centurion on duty. I nodded thanks and walked into the ruined outpost.

I looked around as I walked, admiring the architecture that the Ironblades made, before their fall and disappearance. The walls were made of stone and had lines of brass running up and down, through it almost like veins. The pillars that supported the roof were like the one out side, stone and brass. The downside, in my opinion, was that vines were crawled over every surface. I walked past a few Brass Knights, a pair were talking and another three were training in hand to hand combat. I brought my mentally created smirk back, which disappeared as I saw the centurion on duty. It was a tall Brass Centurion, steel ingravings ran across it's armour. It's helmet had a torn, orange crest on the top and it's faceplate had a frowning brow, shadowing the upper half of it's surface. It had a tall, brass shield and a battleaxe, which it had placed on it's armoured hip. I stood at attention, my glaive planted on the ground and my right arm over my heart, if I still had one. It mirrored the salute, then broke it and walked over to me.

"You are one of the Brass Inquisitor hunters, correct?" The Brass Centurion asked and I nodded. "I heard that you have found a pest ridden village, you wish to exterminate them?" Another nod. "I'm afraid that I can't spare the knights, we were ordered to keep this location secure. I plan to follow those orders, I can spare one knight though." The Brass Centurion stated and slammed a fist into the wall, I immediately heard heavy footfalls and turned around.

Another knight appeared, it was the same height as the others, but that's where all similarities ended. It's faceplate was cracked down its left side, two brass plates on it's chestplate were blocking most of the knight's helmet and it's leggings were bulky, it's pauldrons were huge, giving cover to it's helmet. It's gauntlets had two shields attached to them, small diamond shaped ones. But in both of it's hands was a very special weapon, a Blazebolt Caster, a weapon that could disintegrate almost anything. I then realised that this wasn't a Brass Knight, but a Storm Praetorian. I turned back to the Brass Centurion.

"This is who I will allow to accompany you to eliminate the pests. As soon as the task is done, bring it back here. The brass Centurion said and saluted. I immediately mirrored it, then I noticed that the Storm Praetorian didn't do the salute. The Brass Centurion noticed. "This Storm Praetorian isn't part of my platioon, it wandered in and has been here since. It doesn't like orders, but it will follow them." It said and turned back to do what it was doing before.

"Let move, follow my lead." I say to the Storm Praetorian and move towards the entrance of the outpost, the Storm Praetorian soon followed and gave a growl. "We are going to exterminate some pests, are you ready to have some fun?" I ask as we leave the oupost's boundary, I hear a low reverberating growl from the Brass Praetorian.

"It'll be my pleasure." It said in a deep voice, I grinned as we moved through the forest. This is a day that I will remember, the day that I see more pests kicked off this land and into hell. I step onto a small incline and look through the trees, I spot that cottage and the pegasus that I thought I killed. I looked at the Storm Praetorian and noticed that it also saw the building and pest, it looks at me and I nod. It makes it's growling laugh and starts to walk towards the pest, arming it's Blazebolt Caster. The pest looks up from what it was doing and it screams, I mentally grin as the Storm Praetorian aims it's weapon at the cottage. It unleashes a huge line of concentrated lightning, making a sort of lazer. It tears though the house and starts moving towards the pest, unfortunately the pest was too far from it's reach and running towards the pest ridden town.

"Move down the path! Follow and eliminate that pest, as well as any others you find! FOR THE BRASS INQUISIOTRS!" I roar at the Storm Praetorian, it roars in response and starts to run after the pest. I soon followed with my glaive at the ready, I know that those two Powers are around...

...This time I'll enjoy killing them.

Chapter 5 - The Storm Praetorian's Cleansing

View Online

Storm Praetorian POV

I laugh as I run towards the filth ridden town, I keep my gaze on that crying pest as I run. Suddenly I feel a familiar sensation, pure rage. I stop and roar at the sky, I look back down and arm my beast, my Blazebolt Caster. I look up and roar as my favourite feeling flowed into me, pure rage. I looked back down and took aim at one of those filthy houses, made of thatch and wood. I laughed as the house was disintegrated within seconds, screams became clear as the doors on other houses slammed open, pests running out. I noticed a pest crawling away from the scorched house, I laughed and walked over. It looked up at my visor and reached out to me, I merely laughed louder and stomped it's head in, blood exploded under my boot. I turned around and fired again at the buildings, my laugher was echoing around the area. Many of the pests I spotted were either running, crawling or burning. My laughter grew louder with every death and I could tell that the pests were losing their minds as my laughter echoed in their ears. I turned just as two large pillars of light slammed into my chest, I barely moved and just stood as the light faded. I saw that the two creators of those pillars were just pests, hovering a couple of metres away. I roared with laughter and aimed my beast at the two filthy pests.

"Unleashing hell!" I bellow and fire at the pair, it hit the smaller, dark blue one. The other bigger, white one flew up. The blue one screamed as it summoned a shield, it's body heavily burned. The white pest flew into the shield and grabbed onto it's filthy pest friend and disappeared in a white flash, I growled and continued my cleansing of the pests.

Random Ponyvile Resident POV

"Run! Run! Don't stop!" I yell at my friend just as she trips on a collapsed support, she looks at me and raises a hoof. I begin to run to her, but I stop as I see... IT I watch as it comes around a corner and aims it's staff, weapon thing at my friend. I gasp and reach out to her. "NOO!" I watch as she gets turned into a pile of smouldering bones, I feel the sun disappear and look up. The monster was standing just in front of me, making that laugher. I fall onto my back and look at it's blank face as it aims at me. "DO IT! DO IT YOU BUCKING MONS-" I scream as the flames flow over my body, my vision fades into fire.

Lyra Heartstrings POV

"B-but the b-book said humans were friendly." I whisper to Bon Bon, who was trapped under a beam. She looks up at me and smiles, her tears making lines in her beautiful fur. She puts a hoof on my cheek as the colour in her eyes slowly fades, I watch her hoof fall of my face. "W-why?" I ask the body of Bon Bon and look up as a group of three friends, the flower growers I think, run around a still standing building. They see me and scream at me, I hear nothing as I see that thing walks around the corner behind them. They follow my gaze and turn around, their screams rang in my ears as their bodies disappear. The thing starts to look up, thinking fast I lay over Bon Bon and stay as still as I can. I wait for the inevitable flames to eat me, yet they don't come. I dear to look up slightly and see the thing disappear around another house. I stay laying over Bon Bon and cry silently as the laughter of that beast rings in my ears.

Mayor Mare POV

I adjust my glasses and limp away from the town hall, what's left of it that is. I see one of my friends dragging a pony from some rubble, I look around and begin to limp over to him. But I then I see a dark, tall shape appear in front of me. I look up and feel tears fall down my face as it aims something at me, I swallow and looked up at it's blank face. "Do it." I whisper and see a bright flash as my vision fades to darkness, but a faint laugh still ringed in my last moments in life.

Storm Praetorian POV
I look around the smouldering ruins and start walking towards a red bell tower building, it's widows were boarded up. I shoot the last of my Blazebolt Caster into the air, I lower it and use my right hand to make a small fire storm in my gauntlet. I then slam my right hand onto my beast and it explodes in sparks, then I lift it and shoot it into the air again and watch the lightning turn into flame in the sky. I continue towards the bell tower, my laugh dying down. I reach the building, but I try a different, psychological approach. I walk up to the door and simply knock once, wait a few seconds then knock again. I hear muffled voices and shuffling inside, I step back and aim at the door.

Inside the Ponyville Schoolhouse

The foals and Miss Cheerilee wait in silence as they hear the maniacal laughing end, then they all gasp as a knock is heard. They all look at each other and then at the front door as another knock is heard.

"We gotta open it! It could be rescuers!" Aura, one of the students, say and a few others agree.

"But it could also be that monater running around!" Scootaloo argues and the others agree, even Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara. "We should wait!" She continues and some of the other group agree.

"Children, please, quiet down. I'm going to see who it is." Miss Cheerilee states and moves towards the door, all of the students fall silent as their teacher reaches for the door knob.

Storm Praetorian POV

I watch as the door knob turns and the door starts opening, I move towards it slowly. A purple pest pokes it's head out, but as it spots me it bolts back inside. I drop my Blazebolt Caster and smash my fist through the door, screams are my reward. I pull my fist out and kneel down and put my cracked visor to the hole, I see numerous tiny pests and the normal pest in a corner. I laugh and stand up, kick open the door and pick up my beast. I aim at the group and advance into the building, my gaze scanning around the room. I notice the kiddy drawings and school supplies, I locked my gaze back onto the first pest. I stop a foot away from the group, the little pests start tearing up and a few have fainted.

"You, the first pest. Come out NOW" I say and motion with my beast at the pest, it looks at the little pests. I growl and slam my boot onto the floor, smashing though it. "I will end these filthy rats if you do not leave that corner, I will make you watch as I cleanse this filth." I threaten and then finally the pest moves towards me, I point at a far corner and it moves over there. It turns around and looks at it's little pests, then at my visor. "You have saved these pests from my cleansing, by sacrificing yourself. Do not resist." I say and immediately eliminated it, I turn and look at the shivering pile of filthy pests. "You are lucky, you might be the only survivors." I state and walk through the smashed door/wall, I spot the Brass Knight standing at the burning cottage. I march over to it and nod, it nods back in return. It grabs my shoulder and I growl, but I doesn't release it's grip.

"Thank you for ending these pests, but I've noticed something." It says and I tilt my helmet. "There's another pest plague, this time there." It says and points at a mountain. I look closer and see that a palace was built into the mountain. I look back at the Brass Knight as it releases my shoulder, my thoughts running. "I wish to personally end that filth, if you wish to accompany me then I'll be waiting on the other side of these ruins. It finishs and begins to walk into the town. I look back at the mountain and nod, I turn and begin to follow the Brass Knight.

Meanwhile in the ruins of Ponyville

Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Rarity walk through their old town, tears flowing as they see the damage and piles of bones. They see a pink pony just sitting in the middle of the road, it was Pinkie Pie. They all hug her and she stands up, beginning to follow them. They spot Lyra crying over a body, then they see a group of foals running from the burning schoolhouse. They spot Fluttershy slowly hovering around, her face covered by her hair. Rainbow Dash flies over and guides her over to her friends, Fluttershy looks up and her face was ruined by the river of tears, she follows the group. They stop as they spot a tall metal monster, four of the friends flinch as it looks at them. It doesn't stop and they exhale, then the second, heavily armoured mental beast follows the first. Fluttershy starts to tear up and Pinkie Pie dashes behind her friends. They watch as the pair of metal monsters walk towards Canterlot, they look at each other and nod.

It was time to fight back.

Story Time - The Brass Inquisitors

View Online

Oh, hello! Didn't see you there. Oh you must be here for a story! Gather round my little readers, gather round. Now I'm sure you all are enjoying what Mr B. Hunt is writing, yes? Oh course you are! Why else would you bother to come to my little corner?

"Because of an update that suddenly appeared?"

Oh no of course not! Besides, aren't you meant to be writing another chapter?

"I'm writing this one!"

Shhh my loud friend this is meant to be Story Time ok? Now go away and write in your dusty bedroom Mr B. Hunt!

"Whatever you say... B.H out!"

Ok then let's see what we have here.. oh, I remember this. This is about an old and lost civilisation called, the Humans! Now only a few records and old tomes remain of the Humans, what I hold here is one about their military. They were called the Brass Inquisitors, and they were all very good at fighting. Now let's see what awaits us on the first chapter!

Chapter 1: The warriors and soldiers of the Humans

The Brass Knight
Armaments: Brass plated armour, blank faceplate, white cape with emblem.
Weapons: Brass glaive, Brass halberd, Brass lance.
Position: Standard grunt.
Information:
One of the more 'docile' of the Brass Inquisitors, the Brass Knight attacks when ordered and follows each and every order in a unquestioning fashion. These soldiers are very aggressive when ordered. Unfortunately a drawback of the Brass Knights is that if no orders are given to them, they will wander and attack anything that isn't Human. Can be easily tricked into traps and becomes docile for a while if it's Brass Centurion is destroyed, then it wanders and attacks anything not human.
Threat: High

The Brass Defender
Armaments: Brass reinforced plate armour, blank faceplate, banner with emblem.
Weapons: Brass reinforced tower shield, Brass gladius.
Position: Standard grunt, Shield support.
Information:
One of the more 'docile' of the Brass Inquisitors, the Brass Defender uses it's shield to protect other Brass Knights. It isn't one for fighting head on and will instead use it's shield to push attackers away, if their shield is lost then their gladius will be used with deadly efficiency. It follows orders well and is usually stationed near major bases, seeing little action. Flanking these soldiers and attacking their sides is very effective.
Threat: Medium

The Brass Centurion
Armaments: Brass engraved armour, frowing faceplate, torn orange crest, white cape with emblem.
Weapons: Brass engraved shield, Brass axe
Position: Field captain.
Information:
One of the more aggressive of the Brass Inquisitors, the Brass Centurion commands respect from it's subordinates. It battles through it's soldiers and creates brutal tactics, the Brass Centurion was born to lead and lead it will. It will either be on the battlefield or in it's base, readying it's soldiers and itself. It answers only to the Brass Legate. Destroy the Brass Centurion and all units under it will be in a state of confusion.
Threat: V-High

The Brass Knight (Hunter)
Armaments: Brass reinforced plate armour, blank faceplate, torn white cape with emblem.
Weapons: Brass heavy glaive, devastating lightning.
Position: Hunter, rogue.
Information:
One of the more aggressive of the Brass Inquisitors, the Brass Knight (Hunter) is specially picked from standard Brass Knights to hunt down and eliminate those the Brass Inquisitors find to be pests. It only follows the Brass Legate's orders and is purposely ordered to wander, it is highly hostile and will attack anything that isn't Human. The only downside is that it's mind, with effort, can be breached and can be easily destroyed.
Threat: V-High

Oh my that's the main character of Mr B. Hunt's story, isn't it my little readers?

"Uh, yeah you don't say. I'm sure that everyone knows that!"

Now, now. What did I say about sarcasm?

"I'm gonna use a pony word here, go buck yourself."

Ok then be that way, anyway let's see what other soldiers are in here.

"Woo hoo, I'm SO excited."

The Storm Praetorian
Armaments: Brass blast armour, damaged blank faceplate.
Weapons: Blazebolt Caster.
Position: Extermination, genocide.
Information:
Ont of the more aggressive of the Brass Inquisitors, the Storm Praetorian is usually the last thing a targeted town or city will see as it tears everything apart. It isn't one to follow orders and just does it to get a dose of rage, it's laughter causes long term traumatic experiences. It's main downside is that if it's Blazebolt is damaged then it cannot defend itself well, making it's weapon a priority target by the enemy.
Threat: V-High

"Oi Mr Mystery or something, look at this thing here!"

Oh my someone is hating on the Brass Knight AND The Storm Praetorian? Interesting.

"Get this! He wants me to get these two get a beat down, by these little skittle ponies!"

Do it, for the readers!

"For the READERS!"

The Brass Sentry
Armaments: Brass studded armour, stoic faceplate, long white cloak with emblem.
Weapons: Brass glaive.
Position: Priority Defence.
Information:
A rarely seen soldier of the Brass Inquisitors, the Brass Sentry is a ceremonial soldier that also acts as a guardian for prioritised locations. The Brass Sentry goes to a location that it prioritises and protects it to the death, it has little combat experience and can be easily defeated. The easiest of the Brass Inquisitors to destroy, the Brass Sentry is useless when in a solo situation.
Threat: L-Medium

The Brass Legate
Armaments: Brass colossal armour, stoic faceplate, orange crest.
Weapons: Brass titan glaive, Devastating lighting, Full command.
Position: Grand Leader
Information:
Only a few of these soldiers are in the Brass Inquisitors, the Brass Legate are the towering commanders of the Brass Inquisitors. They are over 12 feet high, have centuries of battle experience and have full command of all soldiers within the Brass Inquisitors. They are seen almost as gods, the rarest sighting of the Brass Legate was when it charged a fortified position and destroyed it but merely running through it. No weaknesses have ever been found.
Threat: DO NOT APROACH

Don't you think that the Brass Legate is a bit OP?

"Yup, but I won't change that, I've already made a couple of weaknesses so why not have that one OP guy?"

B-but the readers!

"Can calmly exept this or go away, simple as that. Actually please don't go, I NEED YOU!"

Whatever. So my little readers, how was that? Should I get Mr B. Hunt to put a few more story times in? Or will this be the last day that I will ever be seen?

"If you couldn't tell, I did this all for shits and giggles. Also thanks Battle154 for giving me any idea to improve this story time! This is B.H signing out!"

Brass Knight POV

I noticed those pests, the first ones, staring at me. I didn't care, my objective is to eliminate that palace's pests. The Storm Praetorian was making a low laughing growl beside me, I mentally grinned. We made our way towards the mountain and the palace, we knew what to do when we get there. The Storm Praetorian is to cause chaos amongst the lower class pests, while I destroy the palace from within.

"Brass Knight." The S.P says in it's low voice and I turn to look at him, but we didn't stop walking. "This new objective looks easy to take, and the last was easier to destroy. Where is the resistance?" It asks and I tilt my head, think on that question.

"That is a good question, shouldn't there be guards or something?" I question the S.P and it looks forwards, more than likely think of an answer or another question. "But these pests can barely protect themselves, why would they bother with a guard?" I ponder aloud.

"Because they need a public image of military might." The S.P says and I nod in agreement, that was a good point. But suddenly the Storm Praetorian stops, I immediately scan the surrounding trees along the path. "Three pests there, two there, another four there." The S.P pointed out and stood just staring at the locations. "These pests are bipedal. Not like those normal ones." It states as one of the bushes rustle and a strange pest walks out. It walked on two legs, but it used it's arms to support itself and it had a mutt's face. Hilariously it was garbed in rusty scraps that it must of thought was armour and it held it it's right paw a crooked sword. It was soon accompanied but other mutts that held similar weapons, all tried to look intimidating. I could tell that all of these mutts were terrified by me and S.P, but they still advanced slowly. The first mutt stood forward from the rest and had a stupid and disgusting grin on it's face.

"Yer trespassin' on me land, I think dat yer armour will be gud compensatin' for yer crime. Now ha-" The lead mutt was saying but was interrupted by the S.P making it dissolve, it's stupid face turning to pain as it melted. I turned and swung my glaive and three of the mutts and watched them be torn into two pieces, their blood gushing out in a waterfall. I grab another mutt as the S.P incinerated a group of four. I loom over the last mutt and watched as it tried to hit my fist, trying to free itself. I soon raised my other fist and slammed it down on the mutt, silencing it's attempts to yell out. I look at the S.P and nod towards the palace, it nods and we start to sprint at breakneck speeds at the mountainous palace.

Lt. Swift Quiz POV

I smack down my cards and grin with triumph as my squad mates groan, but still have grins on their faces. "Well that's the third game, I must say you guys need to practice!" I say and hoofbumb the guard on my right, I stand up and sweep the bits into my money pouch. I grab my helmet, it's blue creast perfectly straight and put it on. I grab my spear as I exit the guardhouse and begin to patrol Canterlot. "Still as beautiful as ever." I say cheerfully as I nod to mare guard. She shakes her head and walks off with a wink, causing my grin to grow. I reach the entrance to Canterlot and just stop and look out at the surrounding lands, the trees, Ponyville, the two dust cloud coming up the path... wait, my eyes widen and I stumble back. "ALARM! Raise the alarm! Attackers! Arm the guard!" I bellow to a squad of nearby guards, they salute and sprint off into different directions, I look up as a unicorn sends out the alarm flare. I look back at the two clouds and throw myself out of the way as they thunder past, narrowly missing my flying body. I turn and spot one of the clouds move towards the castle, but the other skids to a stop. My eys widen as it turns and looks at me, it's cracked face terrifying within itself. It looks up and makes a horrible laughing noise and I scramble to stand up, I look at it then at a nearby alley. I shake my head and sprint down the alley as a pillar of blazing hot lightning appears behind me, I continue down it and slam into another pony. I start to apologise but I notice the pony was a guard, and it's skull was staring up at me. It's helmet slipping off as I stare in horror at the skeleton of the guard, I look in the direction it came and see the laughing demon walking away. I move away from the gap and wrap my hooves around my body, just waiting for this horrible nightmare to be over.

Pvt. Trojan POV

I yell as the demon burns down another line of homes, I look at my squad with tearful eyes. "M-my.. my pa was i-in there." I say quietly as the captain of the squad run over and put a hoof over my shoulder. He looks behind me and his eyes widen, he grabs the scruff of my neck with his magic and tosses me towards the other guards. I look up and see the captain smirk, just as he turns into a pile of smouldering bones. His armour clatters on the pavement and I see the demon look around the house we were hiding behind, it spots us and begins to turn the corner. My squad grab me and start to run, or fly as one was doing. But I knew it was too late, it took aim with it's weapon and a flash of light filled my dying sight.

Cpt. Open Fire POV

I look at the guard on my right, a mare, and she looks back. "Do you ever wonder why we're here?" I ask and she tears up, I put a hoof to her face and make her look at me. "Listen, we have to be strong. We are outmatched and with that demon outside, we will fall. But we must stay strong." I tell her and ready to hold the castle entrance with my last dying breath, the main door shuddering as the demon hits it again.

"We can't hold it for much longer!" A unicorn guard yells in pain.

"We gotta protect the princesses until they can finish the plan!" I yell and spin my sword in my telekinetic grip.

"We won't last a second against that power!" Another guard yells just as three pegasi guards swoop around a corner, and just as the door blew inwards. It slammed the pegasi into the far wall, the smoking hinges creating a erie smoke that covered the doorway. The demon suddenly appeared by leaping through the smoke and slamming it's weapon right into a guard, tearing the poor mare apart. A number of guards rush the still demon, but are cut down by it's mighty weapon. I let my sword drop and fire a burst of fireballs at the demon, another guard was crushed under it's boot as the fireballs hit... doing nothing.

"What!?" I gasp as the demon looks at me and starts to charge, I merely close my eyes as my arrival in Elysiam is awaited. I feel the demo thrust it's weapon into me and lift me up, but I kept my closed as I feel the world around me fades.

Minutes after the slaughtering of the Royal Guard
Brass Knight POV

I wander though the marble halls, slaughtering any pests that I saw, until I found another set of large doors. I kicked them open and thrusted my glaive forwards, slamming it into a white pest with purple armour. I saw another guard and send the body of the white guard flying at it, it screams and is knocked down by the body. Not bothering to walk over to the two pests, I send a bolt of lightning at them. I look around and notice two thrones on an raised platform, one with yellow cloth and one with blue. I mentally grin as I walk up the stair leading to the thrones, I walk over to them and place a hand on the orange one. I turn as the two Powers entered, talking to each other and not noticing me. I sit down in the orange throne and lean my glaive on the blue, watching the pair. Then they looked up and saw me, I stood up and grabbed my glaive and leapt off the throne, aiming to crush the dark blue one. Then two pillars of light fill my vision and I quickly stop time as my vision zooms out.

Inside the mind of the Brass Knight

I bolt upwards as the two Powers send bolts of energy at me, I dodge most of them yet some hit me. I groan as the red land shook, I looked at the two Powers. But when I see only the blue one, I roar as the white one dashes and stabs it's sword into the shoulder. I shove the Power off and scratched at the sword, eventually I look up and see the Power fly forwards and stab a sword into my chest. I roar and step back, the red land slowly falling apart. I look up at the two Powers and collapse to my knees, the two Powers walked forwards. I spot that they both had the white Power's swords in their magical grip.

"I... I have fallen... How did... did you know?" I gasp as the two Powers stop in front of me. "My... honour is gone... my orders are failed... my life done..." I cough and open my arms out wide. "So end it... END IT YOU FILTHY PESTS! DO IT, END IT!" I roar and the two Powers nod, both stab the swords into my neck and I grin as the red land, and the powers disappear.

In the real world
3rd Person of Brass Knight armour

The Brass Knight falls to it's knees and it grabs it's head, the Powers summon their weapons and charge the Brass Knight. It looks down and reaches for it's glaive, but the white Power cuts it's arm off and the blue slices it's neck. It roars and swings a slow haymaker at the two Powers, they easily fly out of the way and both slam into the Brass Knight's chestplate. It falls back and looks at the two Powers on it's chest, it reaches a last time for it's glaive but fails to reach it. The two Powers then stab the Brass Knight through it's visor, ending it's rampage after a hundred years. The Powers fly up and hover over the Brass Knight, they watch as it's armour and glaive fade to dust. They were about to dissend but stopped as a flash of orange light appeared over the dust, a brass pole was sticking out of the dust with a white flag with the Brass Inquisitors emblem on it. The blue Power fell into tears while the white Power just looked down with closed eyes.

In an underground stronghold

"So one of my Brass Knights have fallen, so be it. You are only delaying the inevitable, time to execute the order. The order for the mass extermination of all pests in Equis, time to give the pests something else to fear. Are you ready Brass Centurion?"

"Affirmative, it is time to snuff out some pests."

"Good, because I'm giving you permission to order most of the army. Do not let me down.

"Affirmative, I will move to the Brass Onslaught's fortress and begin there."

"Unleash hell, Brass Centurion!"

Chapter 7 - Karma hits the Storm

In the streets of Canterlot
Storm Praetorian POV

I stop laughing and just stand still, somethings wrong. I turn and look at the castle with a newfound confusion. I shake my head and turn back, just as a blue axe cuts my Blazebolt Caster in half. I roar and grab the pest that did it, I feel my mask crack more and I tear the pest in half. I hunch over slightly and begin to breathe heavily, a number of guard pests come out of cover and surround me. I shoulder charge one into a house and swing a haymaker at another, smashing it into a bloody pulp. I grab two pests and slam them together, throwing both at a group of flying pests. I spin around and pull a spear from the grasp of a pest, I throw it at a line of pests. They all collapse backwards in a shower of blood as I feel my mask crack more, I stomp and leap up at one of the flies and grab onto it's wing. I tear it off as I fall down onto a pair of pest gaurds, crushing them. Suddenly a number of pests throw spears at me while another group launches a barrage of fireballs, they both hit me and I roar in pain. I charge the spear throwers and closeline them, snapping their necks back. I roar and sprint through a number of houses.

Lt. Swift Quiz POV

I stand up as I see a line of guards get skewered, I growl softly and walk out of the alley. I grab a sword from a fall guard and see that demon charge through a line of buildings, I scream in rage and sprint after the demon. I see it stop and run ledt of the line of holes it made, I wasn't done yet and I chased after it with murderous intent. I saw it stop and slam a pair of guards to the ground, blood painting the pavement. The demon was turning just as I leapt at it, I sent the demon to the ground and stabbed my sword repeatedly into the cracked face of it. It roars and holds it's face, but I wasn't done. I grab one of the spears that were stuck into the demon and pull it out, I then slam it through the demon's neck. It shoves me off it's chest and sends me into a building, I groan as I hit the wall and then the ground. I look up and see the demon stand up and hold it's neck, it looks at me and stumbles forward.

Storm Praetorian POV

I spot the pest that landed on and attacked me, I walk forward while holding my neck. I stand in front of the pest and stare into it's blank eyes, I feel myself collapse to my knees. I see the pest walk towards a still smouldering ruin of a house and pick out a plank of wood, it walks back to in front of me and stands with the burning plank in it's mouth. It's eyes still dead inside as it slams the burning plank into my cracked visor, I don't even roar as the pain spreads through my armour. "You aren't a pest, not anymore. You.. are a soldier." I say to the soldier and put my right fist over my heart in a salute. "It is good to die." I say as my armour and mind finally dissolves into dust.

Lt. Swift Quiz POV

I watch as the demon fades to dust, but a sudden flash of red light blinds me for a second. I blink and see a metal pole sticking from the dust of the demon, a red flag with a strange emblem on it. I grab it and look at it for a minute, then fold it and tie it around my forehead. I then pick up my discarded helmet, but soon drop it and kick it away. I then start to walk towards the castle, a few guards walk up to me with worried expressions. But I keep walking. I see my Captain standing with his back to me, looking over the damage that the demon caused. I walk up beside him and he turns to me with an angry expression, but that turns to shock as I turn to him. "Swift... Swift Quiz reporting for duty." I say in a monotone voice, my Captain steps back slightly.

"Lieutenant? You look... like you've walked through Tartarus and back, five times and then fought in a war." My captain says and I chuckle. "Where were you? We lost all connections with the guards in the Lower District, we saw smoke then heard screaming and laughter." He asks and I stare at him, he clearly feels uncomfortable as he shifts his weight under my gaze.

"The Lower District was charged by two demons, one ran towards the castle while the other slaughtered us. I rose the alarm as they attacked, barely making away alive. The Royal Guard stationed there were killed by the demon, I hid until I realised... we all gotta die, but I ain't dying yet. I charged the demon and killed it, a pile of dust and a flag pole appeared as it died." I say and point to my forehead. "This is the flag that was on it." I pointed to my lips. "I used my mouth to grab a burning plank of wood, which I used to stab into the demon's cracked face." I lower my hoof and looked at my Captain. "That laughter came from the demon as it incinerated the ponies in the Lower District, both residents and guards were killed." I finished and waited for him to respond, but his face and eyes told me that he was scared.

"Y-you killed the demon, saw hundreds die and managed to climb up here? With a bucking blank look and without hesitation!? W-what happened to you Quiz?" He asked and put a hoof on my shoulder.

"We all suffer in this world, I just chose to accept that." I say and gaze into the Captain's green eyes. "I have seen more then most here captain, all in the scan of an hour." I finish and watch my Captain's hoof fall from my shoulder, his eyes hardening as he looked at me.

"Swift. You have shown much bravery and courage on this day, I am hereby promoting you to Captain. Hail, Captain Swift Quiz!" The Captain says and puts a hoof over his heart, I nod to him and turn to walk away. "Wait! You should get to the medbay!" He says to me, I stop and turn around to him.

"I am fine Captain." I say and turn back around, continuing towards Canterlot Castle. I wanted to know what happened to the other demon, and why it charged past the Lower District and it's friend.

Chapter 8 - Negative, Not Treason...

Brass Centurion POV

I look down, from the raised platform I was standing on, at the lines after lines of Brass Knights and Brass Defenders. I still saw the walls of the fortress were guarded by Brass Sentries, they stood staring out across the plains this fortress was on. I slowly descended down the platform's stairs and walked out to the front of the Brass Onslaught, then I turned my head and looked at all of the still soldiers.

You are now under my command! I have been tasked with the extermination of all pests in these land!" I bellow at the lines of soldiers and begin to pace in front of them. "I have personally seen that you are one of the most effective armies of the Brass Inquisitors! I have faith that you will follow these new orders!" I stop pacing and gaze over the army. "But I'm not following those orders, and neither are any of you!" I shoutout and turn to pace again. "These are your new orders!" I state and begin to go through the list.

Nightfall
No POV

The small outpost in The Everfree forest heard marching, the Brass Knights stationed there scanned the surrounding tree line. Then one fell as a glint of metal appeared, it's fellow soldiers snap their gazes to it's dust pile. They look up just as more glints appeared and sent them into their dusty graves, then the Brass Centurion ran out of the outpost. It turned around with it's shield raised and it spun it's axe in it's hand, then it spotted another Brass Knight. It lowered it's shield and looked at it as it approached, the soldier's glaive leaning over the it's shoulder.

"Where are my soldiers? Who's your Brass Centurion?" The Brass Centurion asked as the Brass Knight continued towards it, the B.C lifted it's shield in front of itself. "Answer me immediately or I'll attack yo-" It tried to warn, but it was cut off by the B.K slamming it's glaive into the B.C. The B.C dissolved into dust, leaving a line of it's remains on the B.K's glaive. It turned and pulled out a silver sphere, the B.K through it upwards and watched it explode in orange light, then B.K then turned and walked back to the awaiting Brass Onslaught.

Daybreak

The flare was spotted and the Royal Guard was sent to the decimated outpost, they found strange piles of dust and a metal flagpole in one. In the group that was there, was Cpt. Swift Quiz.

Cpt. Swift Quiz POV

I walk past a couple of guards and head towards the brass flagpole, my eyes locked onto the white flag. It was the same as the one that the other demon had in Canterlot Castle, white with that strange emblem on it. I reach it and touch the pole with a hoof, then I turn my head to the tree line. "Only three ways that these demon's fell, first they were eliminated by ponies or one of the other races. They were overwhelmed, or they were betrayed." I muse to myself and notice a orange glint among the trees, I look closer and my eyes widen. It was a demon, but it's face had a frown and it didn't have a glaive or that incinerator weapon. I kept my eyes on it as it did the same to me, then it nodded towards the inner structure. I narrow my eyes and turn towards the structure, then I turn back. The demon was still there, but with another next to it. I shrug and walk into the structure, unaware that one of the demons wasn't dead. I look down a corridor and see a demon, leaning over it's weapon. I use my teeth to slip my blade out of it's sheath on the side of my barrel, then I flipped it into my hoof. It twitched and turned towards me, it's face cracked like the first demon. It stumbled and dragged it's glaive towards me, I growl and charge the demon.

It swings it's glaive in a wide arc and I slide under it, it roared and threw a downwards punch. I push myself back as the demon's fist enters the floor, then I leap up and stab my sword into the neck of the demon. It makes a snarling noise and falls limp, it's armoured form turning to dust. I nod and look at were it was before I entered and saw a scroll, I sheath my sword and grab the scroll in my mouth. I exit the structure and look at were the two demons were, there was the first one there and a... pony!? My eyes widen as the demon drops the mare and points to me, the mare nods and bolts towards me. She had a lime coat and an aqua mane and tail, her cutie mark was a bag with three limes around it. She ran past the startled guards and skided to a stop in front of me, I felt the urge to raise an eyebrow. It died as the mare shook as she reached behind her, pulling another scroll out and putting it on the ground. She bowed and ran away from us and the demon, towards New Ponyville as ponies now call it. I open the letter and read it thoroughly and out loud.

"I know that you have seen what my kind can do, and I am severely sorry for everything you've witnessed. But do not attack those that will leave this tree line, we are here to eliminate every last one of the Brass Inquisitors. I have ordered my soldiers to only attack them and not your kind. I was ordered by the leader of the Brass Inquisitors to exterminate all pests on this land, those pests being everything but us. We have fallen so far, I plan to drag everyone of my kind down with me. If you wish to accompany us, then we leave for the leader's fortress tomorrow. Gather any others you need, this is when we wipe my remnants off this planet!"

I look up and almost pull out my sword as a wave of those demons march through the trees, I see the other guards hesitate too as the demons approach us. The frowning demon walks into my field of view and I step back, it was just staring at me. I narrow my eyes and put my sword away, my trust going into the scroll.

"So, did you write that?" I ask and the demon nods.

"Did you tell that mare to give it to us?"

Another nod, I growl.

"Are you going to murder all of us once we turn our backs? Will you slaughter my kind that you call pests?! WILL YOU!?" I roar at the demon and pull my sword out and point it at the still demon, the other guards slowly pull their swords out with worried expressions. "AM I GOING TO PUT ALL MY TRUST INTO THAT SCROLL, SO I CAN JUST DIE BY A BACKSTAP?! WILL YOU DO THAT!?" I bellow and huff loudly as the demon's army stops behind it, then it points to the scroll above my scabbard. I raise an eyebrow and pull the scroll in front of me, my eyes widen as I read it and I look up and the demon.

"We are nothing but a salvation, will you assist us?" It says and folds it's hands behind it's back.

9 hours till assault...
No POV

The small stone outpost was soon home to the Royal Guard, a pair of princesses, a group of friends and the Brass Onslaught. Although tensions were very high, they two separate armies were allied. The two princesses were discussing tactics with the Brass Centurion while the Royal Guards spared and trained under the eyes of the Brass Knights, the Elements of Harmony were walking through the outpost casting angry glares at all of the Brass Onslaught. But elsewhere, the target of the assault was getting suspicious.

Unknown location
Brass Sentry POV

I walk past the two Brass Praetorians standing guard outside the throne room, I feel my armour start to steam as I enter. Inside the huge room was a lavafall on the far wall with the throne in front of it, a number of Storm Praetorians were lined up along the two side walls. I walk towards the throne and slam my glaive onto the solid, iron surface of the floor. I look up at the shadowy figure on the throne and wait to speak. The huge figure stands up and walks forward, I stumble back as the titan stops in front of me.

"We have reports that the pests have sided with the Brass Onslaught, and that they are marching here as we speak." I state and wait for a response.

"I care not, we outnumber them 2000 to 1. I am not going to lose, but the enemy will. Tell my Brass Centurions to prepare all soldiers for battle, even you Brass Sentinels. I don't care about overkill, I want to show these pests that nothing stands against the Brass Inquisitors!" The Brass Legate bellows in a deep and intimating voice, I salute and rush out of the throne room and back through the caves to find the Brass Centurions

"This is a proud time for us." I say to myself as I see the army out of a crack in the wall, a sprawling wave of brass soldiers. "Those pests have no chance!" I yell and sprint further through the cave.

2 Hours till assault
Brass Centurion POV

I put my hands on the Wartable and look at the two leaders of the once called 'pests', now I know that they are called 'ponies'. I look between to two then point at a point on the Wartable, which had a large map of the battle area on it.

"The Brass Legate has sent for all soldiers in the Brass Inquisitors to assemble at it's stronghold, my forces can take out most of them but not all. Your Royal Guard can barely take down a single Brass Knight, I have doubts if your army can do anything." I state, unfortunately the smaller, dark blue princess wasn't in agreement. It slammed a hoof down and glared at me with a venomous look.

"Thou- You dare?! The Royal Guard has defended us and Canterlot for centuries! The fact you are here in our lands has me questioning who is the bigger threat." It says in a younger and feminine voice. "Our little ponies are more than ready to attack this stronghold!" She finishes and puts on a smirk, I merely stare at her.

"A single Brass Knight could kill everything in this camp in half an hour, I could do it it a quarter, the Brass Legate could do it in five minutes. I do not believe that your Royal Guard can stand for very long, you better hope that your 'Elements of Harmony' can do something princess, because if it doesn't. You will die." I state and the blue princess steps back in shock, but then a huge horn fills the air. I quickly push off the table and sprint outside the inner outpost and look up, a orange and white pillar of light was beaming into the sky. "BRASS ONSLAUGHT, MOVE OUT! THIS IS WHEN WE KNOCK ON HELL'S DOOR! PROTECT THE PONIES NEXT TO YOU, BUT DO NOT STOP THE ASSAULT UNTIL WE REACH THE THRONE ROOM! GUARD THE ELEMENTS OF HARMONY, THE ARE THE PRIORITY! MOVE OUT!" I roar and start jogging with the other Brass Knights and Brass Defenders, the ponies follow suit quickly. I look to my side and see that the six ponies, the Elements of Harmony, were surrounded by Brass Defenders. I look to my other side and see the pony captain, Swift Quiz, running with a squad of Brass Knights and ponies. Suddenly a blur of blue and white snap my gaze to the front, the two princesses were swooping over the waves of soldiers. I looked down and picked up speed with the other soldiers, soon we were thundering through the forest and towards the Brass Legate's stronghold.

The Beginning of the Assault
Enemy Brass Defender POV

I growl with my squad as the first wave of the pest ridden army charged the main gates, I shook my shield and slammed it onto the ground. But I started hearing the rumbling of Brass Inquisitor soldiers, I noted that my squad and the other squads did too. I peered over the top of my shield and scanned around the pest army to find the new soldiers, but then I saw that they were charging with the pests! I step back and then forward again as the pests slammed into our shield wall, I snarl as a pest flies over my head and stabs it's sword into my neck. I drop my shield and grab my neck, but it was too late as I felt myself fade.

Enemy Brass Knight POV

I roar and point at the incoming enemy, they managed to destroy the Brass Defender's shield wall. I sprinted forwards with my fellow soldiers and held my glaive towards the pests and traitors, who were also charging us with their own glaives out. But then I just saw a brass glaive stab into my chest as I looked down, then I felt myself get thrown head over heels as my existence faded.

Cpt. Swift Quiz POV

I grin as I slide under an enemy demon's glaive and thrust my sword into it's leg, it roared and collapsed. I quickly swung and cut deep into it's head, I watched it disappear into dust and then moved onto another demon. This one was holding a mare guard in the air, with it's glavie. I yell and slice through the demon's legs then head, the mare fell to the dusty ground and tried to get up. I merely just pusted her down and held her until she stopped, her blood covering my left hoof. I turn and notice that our allies were pushing the demons back to the huge gate. I stand and rush to the new front and past several dozen dead guards, I ignore them and continue forward.

Brass Legate POV
I listen to the sounds of battle outside the fortress and decide to end it, I stand up off my throne and walk past the patrolling Storm Praetorians. They soon follow me as I grab my glaive, which was leaning on the door. I kick open the double doors and walk into the hall, I look to my left and see that it was full of Brass Knights behind Brass Defenders. I hear a moaning noise and see a bright flash at the front of the left hall defensive line, I spot a number of Brass Defenders fly over the line and fade to dust. I shake my head and turn to my right, three pests and two enemy Brass Knights were rushing towards me. I grunt and swing my glaive with blinding speed across the hall, cutting down the pests and soldiers. I notice that a pest that was cut in half was trying to crawl away, I pointed at it and watched as a tendril of lightning snaked towards it. The pest turned around and screamed as the lightning slammed into it's head, it turned black and fell to the floor. I hear another moan and walk down the hall, ordering half of my Storm Praetorians to hold the throne room and the rest to support the defending soldiers. I turn a corner and spot a Brass Centurion and a large group of Brass Knights walking towards me, the same one that I send to get the Brass Onslaught. I let steam burst from the narrow gaps in my armour and crouch slightly, the group stop and ready their weapons. I let my mask crack open and I let lose a line of orange lightning, aimed at the enemy soldiers. The beam destroys all of them and damages the Brass Centurion, I let the beam die and feel my mask clamp into place. I move slightly and sprint at the still standing soldier and ram it into the wall, it's armour cracking loudly. I step back and then slam my glaive through the Brass Centurion, I lift the soldier up on my glaive and hold it in the air. I raise my free hand and form a spear of lightning in it, my gaze still locked onto the Brass Centurion's visor. I pull back my free arm and the Brass Centurion holds it's arms out, ready to be destroyed.

"Most unfortunate, this is how fate saw this. I am just acting on it." I say and thrust the bolt of lightning into the Brass Centurion, until my bolt was stopped by a golden shield. I snarl and spin around, throwing the soldier off my glaive and towards the throne room doors.

No POV

The Brass Legate spots the princess of the sun, who was standing with her horn glowing a golden hue. It roars and starts sprinting at her with it's glaive raised in aggression, but a sudden wall of dark blue energy slammed into it. The Brass Legate is thrown against the walls of the hallway, it looks to where the wall of energy was created and spots the princess of the night with a dark blue hue around her horn. It unleashes another wall of energy and the solar princess shoots a line of golden energy, both directed at the Brass Legate, who was only able to raise it's glaive in minimal defence. The two energies hit the Brass Legate and send it into a fit of rage, it releases a barrage of steam from it's armour and towards the smaller of the two pests, the hurricane of steam burn the princess and force her to dash back. But the other princess wasn't done, as it shoots an arching bolt of golden energy into the ceiling. This causes the ceiling above the Brass Legate to collapse on top of it, it roars and collapses with the weight of the rubble. The two princesses fly towards the fallen Brass Centurion and put it in a seated position against the wall, but they both quickly snap their gazes towards the defensive line of Brass Knights.

The remaining soldiers were running towards them, half with stone covering bits of their armour while others had lost their weapons. But a sudden moan and a ray of rainbow coloured energy slam into the retreating Brass Knights, causing them to quickly turn to stone and then crumble to dust. The dust flies up and covers the hallway, dark shapes are seen moving within the dust cloud. They were soon to be revealed to be the Elements of Harmony, who were in their *Harmony State. The two groups smile and look at the Brass Centurion, who was in horrible shape. It's left shoulder was completely gone and a ugly crack was covering most of it's chest, this was causing it to lean crookedly. It had lost it's shield with it's left arm, but a bent brass axe was still laying in the Brass Centurion's right hand. It had lost the left half of it's faceplate and it's crest was torn off, the soldier's helmet was also missing the lower part of it's left side. Finally the Brass Centurion's armour was releasing tendrils of steam constantly. The collected ponies gasp at it's condition and rush towards it, but stop when the Brass Centurion's helmet let out a loud creak as it turned to look at them. The ponies gasped again as they saw an orange cloud hovering inside the fallen soldier's hollow mask, but the Brass Centurion doesn't stop with a turn. It raises it's right arm and points the brass axe towards the ruined hallway, which contained the Brass Legate.

"Go...fin...finish...the...Br...Brass...Lega...Legate...forget...me...I...wa...was...alre...already...gone." It groans and let's it's arm fall limp, the orange cloud in the Brass Centurion's helm fades and it's ruined body slowly crumbled to dust. The rubble of the collapsed ceiling started shaking and exploded outwards, revealing the Brass Legate who was letting sparks of lightning run across it's armour. It roared at the ponies amd began to sprint at them, the ponies run into the throne room. The Storm Praetorians inside were already destroyed by the Royal Guard, lead by Captain Swift Quiz. The guards scattered inside the room quickly looked towards the open doors as the Elements of Harmony and the two Royal Sisters sprint inside, they heard the stomping of the Brass Legate before they saw it. But they knew it was the Brass Legate as a hulking brass soldier slid around at doorway and skidded to a stop, it's armour and glaive sparking with lightning. The collected ponies readied for battle as the Brass Legate opened it's faceplate and let a beam of orange lightning dash towards the ponies, who were running or flying at the Brass Legate.

"Run! HAUL YOUR FLANK!" A royal guard yells at a group of stumbling and running ponies, she uses her magic to tear a sword from a fallen guard's scabbard and swings it over the heads of the running ponies. It slices into the skin of a Corrupted pony, it's once blue fur crawling with black tendrils and it's eyes a glossy gold. The beast screams and bites onto the sword, it throws it's head back and the sword is flung out of the guard's magical grasp. The guard yells and shoots a bolt of green energy at the beast, to suddenly realise that there was a large shape moving towards her neck, she can't even scream as the glaive slams through her neck.

The once shining Brass Knight was now a dimmer colour with black pools of liquid stuck to it's armour, tendrils dart out from the pools and grab the mare. The beast moans as it Corrupts the headless mare, the black liquid forms a deformed head in the empty neck. The newly reanimated guard roars and throws itself at one of the surviving ponies, covering the poor stallion's head with the false head it has. The pair Corrupt into a single form, a black and aqua mangled beast. It screams with two voices and rushes at the rest of the survivors.

Ponyville

Most of the residents were Corrupted and many were hiding, but not for long. The Apples were melted into a many, legged beast. Most of the flying residents were hovering above groups of survivors, letting Corruption fall from their hollow bodies. The unicorns dragged survivors into puddles of Corruption and the baby dragon, once known as Spike, was now nothing but a massive mimic, a false dragon. It roars and crushes homes under it's enormous weight, killing those that aren't Corrupted.

"Rainbow, please! I'm your friend!" Twilight yells at the once cyan pegasus, now her face was covered in the Corruption. Twilight grabs her friend and throws her into a house, she hears screaming and the scared face of Dr. Hooves appears in one of the windows. She watches as her friend rams into the doctor, sending them both through the window and back onto the ground. The doctor was Corrupted even before he hit the ground, his body looks up at Twilight and moans. Soon Rainbow Dash flies up and swoops down at her, intending to tackle Twilight. But Twilight throws her at the doctor again, then she turns and bolts through the town.

Rarity cries as she holds her little sister back with her magic, but she didn't see Opal hiss and scratch the little beast, unintentionally Corrupting herself. Rarity sees the Corruption spreading on Opal and, with her magic, grabs a pair of scissors and throws them at her cat. But she let go of Sweetie when she did this, the beast screams and leaps at Rarity's neck. Rarity just grabs the little beast in a hug, letting the Corruption spread over her. At least she will be with her sister, forever.

Brass Inquisior Outpost

The Brass Centurion roars as it smashes it's shield into one of the Corrupted soldiers, then it slams it's axe into it's helmet. It kicks the hollow suit back and parries a glaive that was heading towards it's chest.

"We are routed! But do not give in! DESTROY THE FALSE SOLDIERS!" It roars and rapidly smashes it's axe into the Corrupt soldier, but it was blindsided by a wild grab by a Corrupt Brass Defender. The Brass Centurion struggles but soon collapses, a large amount of it's armour Corrupted. "NO! NOt ToDAy! NOt today..." The Brass Centurion groans and fully turns into the thing it was fighting, it roars and swings it's axe into the back of a Brass Knight, then it sends tendrils of Corruption into the cracks in the soldier's armour. They both turn and attack the rest of the Uncorrupted soldiers, mindlessly following unknown orders.

Brass Stronghold

The Brass Legate suddenly stands from it's throne and roars, then it claws at a growing pool of Corruption on the back of it's neck. It falls limp to the floor, the Storm Praetorians stationed to guard it slowly backing up. The Corruption Legate looks up and moans as a third arm explodes from the back of it's armour, the hand was holding a glowing orange orb. It throws the orb into the back of the C.L's head, causing it to rear up in pain, then it falls with a humongous thud. The Storm Praetorians sprint to the throne room doors, trying to escape their certain death. But the C.L was too fast, it's helmet explodes with Corruption and three huge tendrils appear in it's place. They reach out to the S.Ps and slams them away from the door. The body of the C.L stands up and stumbles towards the door, letting the Corruption spread through it's left arm. Then suddenly the C.L's arm explodes and a claw of black tendrils snake out of the mangled gauntlet, it wrappeds around the massive glaive and hefts it up onto it's shoulder. The C.L slams it's three 'heads' into the door, throwing off it's hinges and at a group of patrolling Brass Sentries. It turns to the right and spots another patrol, it makes a deep and guttural laugh.

"MuST BecOMe PURE!" It roars as it rushes down the hall, it wraps the group of four sentries in a bear hug and absorb them into itself, it's armour getting even more plates of brass armour and a new faceplate was placed over the three tendrils. It clicks it's neck and looks at it's left hand, it slowly retreats into the armour and is replaced by another gauntlet. It nods and marches towards the main core of the stronghold. Then as it was walking it felt something enter it, the Corruption within was pushed out. The Brass Legate groans and falls to a knee, it releases orange steam from the cracks in it's armour. It looks up and the faceplate's eyes glow an orange colour, it's mouth pulled into a snarl. It stands up and lets a low chuckle fill the halls, the soldiers within suddenly disappear in bright flashes of orange.

"Now, I finally can create...peace" The Author says and teleports to Canterlot Castle, a goal of elimination in mind.

Canterlot Castle

The Royal Sisters sit atop their thrones and watch the doors of the throne room, aware that a horde of Corruption awaited beyond it. They hear roaring and snarling, then a pattern of thuds, almost like hoovesteps. The doors are thrown open and Celestia and Luna fly up and ready their magic, only to realise that not a single Corrupt being was entering. Then a bipedal knight appears into the room, looking around with a orange light coming from it's unblinking eyes. The two sisters fly up to the ceiling of the throne room and watch the being suddenly teleport to the thrones, it looks between them and turns around, teleporting towards the exit. Luna decided that this was the time to exhale, but this caused the knight to stop just before the two doors. Suddenly it disappears and appears in front of Luna, a snarl clear on it's face. It grabs her neck and teleports to her throne, it places her on it and looks up at Celestia. She disappears in a flash of gold, the knight looks at the other throne, another flash and Celestia appears on her throne.

The knight starts to pace in front of the Royal Sisters. "For all of two mouths or so, my story was going good. Then suddenly a lose of inspiration struck." The Author states. "My mind was having trouble of finding this inspiration, but I did. Now that Corrupt has taken over, spreading Corruption to the surface of Equis, I've barely taken a host to control. Now that the Brass Legate is my host, and all Brass Inquisitor soldiers are wiped off this planet, there is only you and the rest of the species on this planet. I'm going to reset the planet, this will destroy everything. But it will wipe Corrupt from the surface of my land, this means I will create you all again, without the Corruption. So, do you accept this fate? All memory of this meeting will be restored on the discovery of the first Brass Knight." The Author stops in front of Celestia and holds it's hands behind it's back, Celestia nods. "Affirmative, executing reset... NOW!"

Swift End
No POV

The Brass Legate stomped and swung it's glaive in a large crescent arc, catching a number of pesasi and throwing them to the hard floor, killing them instantly. The four of the earth pony guards charge and stab spears into the gap between the Brass Legate's shin guards and boots, this made the Legate dash back and swing it's glaive down upon the four stunned guards. The exploded in blood and gore, but his didn't stop the advancing ponies. Cpt. Swift Quiz galloped around the Brass Legate, knowing that it was looking at him, he pulls out his sword and holds it in his mouth. Suddenly the Brass Legate thrusts it's glaive at Swift, but he was ready for it. Swift stops and lets the glaive slam into the ground in front of him, then he rushes towards the Legate with his sword clenched tightly in his mouth. But as the Legate was moving to lift it's glaive to eliminate the Captain, the Elements of Harmony shoot a beam of rainbow energy at the Legate, the beam covers it's right arm with stone. The Legate roars and slams it's arm down upon Swift, only to hit a shield of golden and dark blue energy. The Legate jumps up and pulls back his left arm, which was holding the glaive, and throws the glaive at the shield. The shield shatters and the two princesses gasp and collapse, the Elements shoot another beam and it his the Brass Legate's chest. But as the Legate lands it causes the stone to break with a loud crack. It reaches out and grabs it's glaive, but it doesn't pull it out of the floor. It starts pulling the glaive through the ground and towards the Elements, fortunately Swift was still on the advance.

He jumps and grabs onto the Legates boot, he spins his sword around and stabs it into the gab between it's armour. The Legate stops moving and looks down at Swift, then it spins around and slams it's boot into a wall. It pulls it's foot away and looks back at the Elements, but it snapped it's gaze back to see Swift was climbing up it's leg, he was past it's knee. The Legate growls and swipes Swift off it's leg, he falls to the hard floor and groans. The Legate raises it's boot and stomps on the Captain, if he was there. Celestia grabs Swift and pulls him away from the titanic boot, Luna flies up and her eyes glow white. Suddenly the Legate roars as a number of large white spears thrust through it's chestplate, it sudders and swings it's glaive at Luna. She dodges and shoots a beam of dark blue energy at the Brass Legate's faceplate which causes the titan to snarl, then it suddenly throws a huge bolt of lightning from it's right hand at the lunar princess. She goes flying back with the bolt and convulses as sparks fly off her, she hits the far wall with a thud and slides to the floor. Celestia screams and flies to her sister, only to be backhanded by the Brass Legate into the floor. Then to add insult to injury, the Legate slams it's glaive into the downed princess three times, then it opened it's faceplate to shoot a huge beam of lightning. Only to hear a moan and see a beam of colour full it's vision. It roars and drops it's glaive trying to claw at the stone covering it's core, the Legate shudders and lets it's arm fall to it's sides, then orange steam began to flow from it's armour.

The gates open...

Lighting crawled over it's stone covered core and it shattered with a loud crack, the Legate moved a hand over it's glaive and pulled it from the floor. The faceplate closed and the Brass Legate turned around, it's faceplate's eyes glowing orange with black mist flowing to the sides. It locked onto the Elements and thrust it's glaive into the floor, then it swung it upwards and a vertical wave of lightning flies at the floating ponies. They scatter and split up to avoid the lightning, but now they couldn't form another beam. So the Brass Legate can end them without an annoying beam disturbance, the Legate chuckles and walks towards the three ponies on it's left. Rainbow Dash yells and flies at the Legate, who let it's misty eyes lock onto the flying pony. Then it slams it's free hand down in front of the cyan pegasus, but the pony quickly zips towards the face of the Legate, but unfortunately for Rainbow the Legate moved it's head forward and Dash slammed into thick brass. She groans and flops off the faceplate of the Legate.

Rarity grabs the falling pegasus with her magic and pulls her from the Legate, but the Legate wasn't done. It turns and spots the little unicorn, then it grabs it's glaive with both hands and holds it over it's right shoulder. Suddenly it started spinning and moving towards the two ponies, all while it was swinging it's glaive in a diagonal arc. It mowed through the floor and sent shards of it at the two ponies, but fortunately Rarity teleported herself and Rainbow away, leaving only Pinkie... The Legate stops spinning and swings it's glaive in huge overhead smash onto the pink, grinning pony. She disappears in a blur and appears on the Legate's shoulder, her party cannon aimed at the Brass Legate's neck, she winks and fires her cannon. The Legate feels an object fly through it's neck and stumbles to the side, it tries to smash it's free hand onto Pinkie. But she was already with her friends, forming another beam of Harmony. The Legate roars as the beam runs from it's waist, up it's chestplate and to it's neck. It gives out a loud moan as it drops it's glaive and falls to the floor, sending a shockwave around it's fallen body. The ponies shoot another beam and the Royal Sisters fly over and summon spikes of magic, piercing the Brass Legate's chestplate and traping it more. But the Legate still didn't give up as it pulled a hand out to try and crawl through the spikes, then it soon went limb, it's eyes glowing dimmer and soon disappeared. The ponies watch it for a moment and ready themselves for another attack, Twilight then grabbed a rock and gently tossed it at the prone Legate.

Suddenly the Legate roared to life, swinging it's free arm around wildly and soon planting a fist onto the floor, it started hissing and more steam soon started coming out of it's armour. It shook as it rose through the spikes, the Legate no longer standing tall and pround, it was no more than animal. It's legs were in a crouched position and it's right arm was supporting itself, it's eyes resumed their orange and smoky colour. The Legate roared to the ceiling and looked back down, it locked onto the other ponies that it didn't target. It snarled and charged the cluster of ponies, slamming it's limbs into and out of the floor. But suddenly it smashed into a gold and dark blue barrier, it spin around and rose slightly. Then it pulls out the lance that was in it's neck and threw it at the two princesses, falling to it's elbows and growling. The Royal Sisters fly around the projectile and shoot a fury of energy bolts at the animalistic Legate, it screams and pushes itself up. Suddenly it spins and kicks out, catching Swift as he was galloping at the Legate. Then it spun around and let a huge line of lightning shoot from it's faceplate, the ponies throw themselves to the sides as the beam runs through the floor. The Brass Legate hissed again and raised it's left hand, a orb of white light appeared on it's palm, then it slammed the orb of light into the ground. A huge groan is heard and the entire floor cracks and from the cracks, orange mist appeared. It floated up and then started flowing into the Brass Legate, who's smoky eyes had faded.

The husk of armour groaned as it was filled with the mist, soon the armour cracked and it stood up, proud and intimidating. The eyes of it's faceplate reignited into a pure golden colour, the Brass Legate raised it's gaze to the far doors of the throne room, they both slammed shut. The ponies wearily readied themselves as the Legate slowly marchs forward, it's hands glowing with a golden colour. It threw it's right hand up and a pillar of lightning slammed into Celestia, it then swung it's hand down and another pillar of lightning was sent through Twilight. The Legate then clapped it's hands together and a huge wave of lightning was sent outwards, scattering the ponies, then the Legate slumped over. It's backplates opened up and a humongous eruption of red steam bursts out, Swift runs up and slides to a stop, his sword in his mouth. He spins around and then back around, as he does he throws the sword into the gapping back of the Legate. The steam stops and the Legate looks up, a deathly silence filling the room. It stumbles back and collapses to a knee, it looks at Swift and holds itself up on it's right hand.

"Finally... I see a... a light... I'm coming my friends... I... thank you... for I am... free." The Legate says and falls to the floor, exploding in a cloud of dust as it hits the floor. Swift raises a hoof to cover his face and steps back, as the dust settles he lowers his hoof and sees his sword implanted in the floor. It was now brass and a few sparks of lightning run along it's edge, but wrapped around the hilt of the sword was a brass bracelet. Swift pulls the bracelet on and looks at it, then he goes to reach for his new sword... To find it floating in an orange glow in front of his face, he steps back and as he does he notices the bracelet glowing orange as well. He narrows his eyes and thinks of moving the blade in a circle, it follows his thoughts and spins. Swift then slides his sword into it's scabbard and turned around, saluting Celestia and Luna as they trotted in front of him, smiles on their faces.

"Good work my little pony!" Celestia says warmly and Swift shrugs, putting his hoof down.

"Just a duty, Princess. Nothing more." Swift says as Luna and Celestia chuckle.

"Even if it is thou- your duty, we are still thankful for you destroying that menace." Luna says. "I think it is time to return to Canterlot." She finishes and Celestia nods, the Elements of Harmony limp over and nod as well.

"You go Princesses, I need some time to think." Swift says and sits down, looking at the dust of the Brass Legate. The group of ponies huddle together and disappear in a flash of purple, gold and dark blue. Swift notices something in the dust near his hoof, he looks closer and sees its a piece of the Legate's faceplate. He frowns and picks it up with his mind, pulling it close to his face. "Why aren't you gone?" He mutters to himself and tosses the piece of brass aside, he stands up and starts to walk to the doors of the throne room, his mind elsewhere.

Twilight of a New Dawn

The Brass Legate's beam destroys a line of pegasi guards, then it's faceplate slams shut as it stomps and thrusts it's glaive at the Elements of Harmony. It slams into the floor and sends shrapnel at the ponies, then suddenly the Royal Sisters both fire a large beam at the Brass Legate, but it merely spun around and held out it's free hand and caught the beam. It started walking towards the two princesses with it's faceplate open, then it stomped and shot out another large beam of lightning at the pair. The two princesses fly up and over the Legate, causing it to turn around and snarl, but it stopped as a beam of rainbow energy slammed into the Legate's chest. It stumbles and falls to a knee, letting Swift run up and stab his sword through the Legate's neck. He then throws himself at the Legate and makes the brass warrior rear up, then it suddenly roared and slammed it's sparking glaive into the floor. Swift is send flying back into the Elements of Harmony and causes them to all fall into a pile, while this happened the Legate raised his free hand and a orb of fire appeared within it's grasp. Suddenly it crushed it and a wave of steam blew out from the Legate, the ponies step back as cracks appear in the floor. Then the steam clears and reveals the Legate, lava now flowing from the cracks in it's armour. It snarls and throws a bolt of lightning at the group of ponies, but it was blocked by Luna's shield. The Legate then immediately slams it's glaive into the floor and raises both arms above it's head, then it slams it's glowing arms down onto the floor. The cracks in the floor suddenly roared as walls of lava appeared, the ponies scramble to get off the cracks. They look around and watch as the lava loses it's glow and forms a solid mave of hardened fire.

The Legate snarls and pulls it's glaive from the floor and jumps up onto the top of the maze, it spots the Elements and throws a bolt of lightning at the ponies. They scream and leap away from the orange bolt as it slams into the wall behind them, the Legate turns around and gets a huge golden spear send through it's chest. It roars and falls from the top of the maze, smashing through the walls as it fell to the floor. The ponies rush over and around the Legate to escape futher into the maze, the princesses blast the Legate with a fury of energy and soon follow the Elements of Harmony into the maze. The Brass Legate growls and rolls over, it then slams itself through the maze's walls, trying to crush the ponies within. It soon crushes a wall and comes face to face with the group, they scream and stumble as the Legate's faceplate opens and glows. But Swift came to the rescue, he leapt from behind the Legate and on top of it and run along it's back towards it's head. He slams his sword through the neck of the Legate and kicks it, causing the blade to thrust through the neck of the Legate. It rears back and reaches to it's throat and soon falls backwards. The Elements fire a beam of rainbow energy along the chesttoa the Legate's head, it roars and sends a wild kick at the ponies. The boot slams into the two princesses and sends them through the maze's walls. Twilight yells and runs to Celestia's side, causing her friends to follow. But the Legate roared and slammed it's arm down in front of them and smacked them away, it turned and looked at Twilight. Who's eyes where glowing white with power and rage, she screams and blasts the Legate with a huge beam of purple energy, sending it flying out of the maze and into the far wall of the throne room.

Twilight's face turns to a frown and she flies out of the maze, locking her gaze onto the Legate. It had another orb in it's hand, this time a large yellow and gold aura was surrounding a red orb. It crushes it and slams a fist into the floor as it writhes in unknown pain, the glow in it's armour fades and it slowly fades to a pile of dust. Twilight narrows her eyes and scans the room, she locks onto the doors as they slowly shut with a loud thud. Suddenly a whirlpool of dark, black energy appears in place of the lavafall. Twilight gasps and watches as the storm crackled and hissed, then she heard hoofsteps.

The storm dissipated almost immediately and revealed a brass soldier, it was holding a large axe in one hand and a strange dagger in it's other, it's armour was also different. A pointed brass helmet sat upon it's head, it had a brass pauldron on it's left shoulder and a pair of brass shin guards on it's legs. Underneath it's armour a black tunic with grey leggings, it's tunic's neck was pulled up to cover the soldier's face. Twilight slowly floated down to the floor and tilted her head as the soldier stood still.

"I have not been in this form for so long, but you are... more powerful than thought." The brass soldier says in a gravelly voice, soon Twilight realises that this is the Brass Legate. "You must realise that I will not fall to you, I cannot. I must follow orders and end you pests!" The Legate says and Twilight looks shocked.

"Pests? We are ponies! You have no right to call us pests and kill us!" She yells at the Legate.

"Who gave you the right to be called ponies? Who gave us the right to be cursed to stay in this world? WHO GIVES THE RIGHTS?!" The Legate roars and Twilight steps back.

"I... I don't know, but we've always been ponies. But you weren't always like this... were you?" Twilight asks cautiously and the Legate shakes it's head.

"It matters not, I've got an objective. You will die or I will die, it will be the only way to leave this throne room. Your friends will wake in a moment, when they do... no mercy will be given." The Legate states and points it's axe at Twilight, then it folds it's off hand over it's axe hand and lowers it's head.

The sound of battle nears...

Twilight snaps her head around as she hears a groan, it was Swift Quiz. He looks up and spots the Legate rushing towards the unsuspecting Twilight, he yells and throws his sword at the Legate. It snarls and stumbles to the side as the sword slams into it's chest. Twilight spins around and pulls a large hunk of the floor up, then she throws it at the Legate. It just ducks under the debris and slashes the sword in half with it's dagger, then it leaps up and holds it's axe above it's head. It lands and twists the axe to the side, spinning and swinging it's axe at the stunned purple unicorn. But it stops in a dark blue aura, it looks over it's shoulder and spots Luna. The Legate growls and slashes the air with it's dagger, falling to the floor as the magic is dissipated. Then it runs at Luna with it's dagger in front of itself, the Legate slashes at Luna and she flies back. But then the Legate spins vertically and slams it's axe down at Luna, catching the princess off guard.

But then a pair of golden swords and an angry sun princess appeared to block the Legate's downstroke, she yells and parries the axe. The Legate spins around and drop kicks Celestia away, then it swipes it's axe along the floor and slides with it's strike. Luna jumps and slams a dark blue wall in the path of the Legate, it slams into the barrier and growls, then it jumps up and spins through the air.

Then a beam of rainbow energy slams into the midair Legate, sending it flying into the floor. The Elements of Harmony hover closer and then float to the floor, the Legate groans and gets up to it's feat. Then Celestia and Luna both slam a pair of swords into the Legate, but suddenly the Legate catches the blades with it's dagger and throws them upwards. The two princesses look in shock as the Legate swings it's axe at Celestia, cutting her wing and chipping her horn a bit. She screams and throws herself backwards, Luna looks back at her sister and then screams as the Legate plunges it's dagger into her throat, blood squirts out and the Legate thrusts the blunt end of the axe into Luna. She falls back and uses her magic to hold her wound, then she gives a death stare at the Legate. It just raises it's axe over it's head, then it looks away from Luna.

Another rainbow beam flies towards the Legate, but it slides under it and runs at the Elements of Harmony, letting it's axe drag along the floor and creating sparks. Then the Legate dashes forward and spins with it's sparking axe, then it swings at the closest pony, a familiar grinning one. But it's axe slams into a purple barrier, the Legate quickly spins and kicks the blue blur coming at it. Rainbow Dash yelps as she slams into the boot and is thrown back, the other ponies gasp. Rarity screams and grabs a large number of shrapnel from the floor and flings it at the Legate, it snarls and throws it's arms to block some of the shrapnel. Then a very strong force slams into the Legate side and it slides from the impact, it turns and sees an orange pony with a strange hat lowering it's hind legs. The Legate roars and pulls a strange black orb from a pouch, then quickly crushes it and rushes at the ponies.

Celestia gently heals Luna as a strange black, stormy whirlpool appeared a couple of metres away. She stands up and watches as copy of the Legate walks through the portal, except it had a sword instead of an axe. It quickly rushes at the Celestia with it's sword on it's shoulder, but then it is thrown across the room by a huge dark blue hammer. Luna walks to Celestia's side and changes the hammer into a sword, Celestia does the same. The Summon jumps to it's feet and slams it's sword down, but it is caught by the twin blades of the two princesses.

"Almost familiar..." The Summon whispers and kicks Luna to the side, then slices Celestia with it's dagger. Then it swings it's sword over it's head and slams it down onto Celestia, but she summoned a shield and blocked the devastating strike. Then Luna flew and tackled the Summon, it let out a soft groan and stabbed it's dagger into Luna's back and pulls it's sword to her throat. "Another to the Watch..." It whispers and tries to slit Luna's throat, but then she dives down and slams the Summon into the floor. It writhes and then disappears in a black flash, the two princesses look at the Elements and saw the Legate collapse to a knee.

The Legate coughs and drops it's axe, it shudders and looks up at the Elements of Harmony.

"You... aren't pests anymore... now... please... send me to my brothers... my arrival is awaited..." The Legate says and lowers it's head as it offers it's dagger to Twilight, who takes it with her magic and holds it up. She looks down at the bowing Legate and plunges the dagger into it's neck, it shudders again and looks at Twilight, who gasps unexpectedly. Then the Brass Legate disappears into a cloud of dust, a brass dagger imbedded into a pointed brass helmet resting amongst it. Twilight grabs the helmet and looks at it, then breaks down crying.

"Twi... what's wrong?" Rainbow asks while rubbing her friend's shoulders, Twilight sniffs and looks up.

"I saw... I saw a pair of eyes, amongst the darkness." She coughs and goes back to crying. The two princesses stand away from the group of friends, their eyes drawn to a piece of a brass battle axe in the dust. They look at each other with worried eyes, then they cover the fragment and trot over to Twilight and her friends.

The Revenge of the Fallen

The Legate shoots a large beam of lightning at the running royal guards, then it moved it to cut down the pegasi. The Legate snarls and slams it's glaive across the floor at the ponies, who quickly leapt out of the way. The two princesses fire a hail of magic at the Legate, it just backhands them out of the air and tries to stomp on them. Yet another rainbow beam slams into it and staggers the Legate, then Swift dashes up and jumped onto the Legate's chest, holding on by stabbing into the chestplate. The Legate snarls and smacks Swift off it's chest, snapping his sword in half. Swift lands with a thud, but he notices something, a faint white hue was in the air. The Brass Legate looks around and watches as the dust from outside the throne room and the dust from inside flies around in a tornado, it steps back as a pair of orange eyes appear in the tornado.

"Fate... is kind on this day!" A familiar voice yells and the Brass Centurion run through the dust-nado, but it was nothing but dust. Yet it's attacks still hit with the same force as if it was solid, the Centurion roars as it tackles the Legate and then dissolves as the Legate hits the floor. It looks up just as the Centurion slams it's foot into the Legate's faceplate, the Legate roars and seings it's free hand through the Centurion. The Centurion dissolves and the Legate jumps up, then the Centurion appears a few feet away. The Legate roars and thrusts it's glaive at the Centurion, dissipating it again and causing it to appear behind it. The Centurion slams it's axe into the Legate's lower side and grabs it's neck, then it turns and tosses the Legate away.

The ponies watch in silent terror and awe as the Legate stands and swings it's glaive around at the Centurion, yet it just passes through and the Centurion grabs the Legate's faceplate, causing the Legate to drop it's glaive and claw at the dusty appendage. Then it roars as the Centurion crushes the Legate's head, slowly the Legate tries to crush a red orb, but it is stopped by the Centurion. It grabs the orb and throws it aside, then the Centurion grabs the fallen glaive and points it at the Legate's throat.

"As you had said, it's just fated for you to die." The glaive plunges through the Legate's neck. "We are late, brother. We are awaited by our friends." The Centurion states and pulls the glaive out of the Legate, who stumbles back and falls to a knee.

"Heh... I guess you... are right..." The Brass Legate says and dissolves to dust, a red orb appears amongst the dust. Teilight moves forward to look at it, but the Brass Centurion grabs it and throws it into the lavafall.

"B-but I needed to study that!" She says, a little angry.

"No, that wasn't safe in your hooves. Now, destroy this place." it says as it looks at Luna and Celestia, who both nod. Twilight looks shocked and opens her mouth to argue, but then she disappears in a golden flash with her friends.

"We thank tho- you for what you have done." Luna says and the dusty soldier just shrugs.

"Now that the Legate is dead, are we safe?" Celesta asks.

"No, but you are safe from the Brass Inquisitiors. Word will travel fast and the other Legates will leave you be." The Centurion states as it's body fully fades from the world. The two princesses look at each other and teleport to Canterlot, ready to overcome the damage that has occurred. Yet it was Celesta who spotted a glaive, stabbed through the floor. It was three days later when the stronghold was destroyed, it was then wiped from everything's memories, so nothing remains...
