Spike tried to reach for the Heart as it fell, but to no avail, Shining Armor tried to throw his beloved Cadence to Spike and the Crystal Heart, hoping to keep them from his evil grasp. But alas, he saw this coming. He conjured a barrier to block Cadence and knock her to the ground and proceeded to use his magic to levitate the Crystal Heart and Spike over to him. "Yes..." he spoke in a chilling voice with Spike cowering in his magical grasp, "The Crystal Heart is mine! And now, you are all once again my slaves! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!" All hope was lost, Sombra had the Crystal Heart, and the ponies, both normal and crystal, were powerless to stop him. And then...a miracle happened. A presence Sombra hadn't felt in a while was standing right behind him, its murderous intent clear in its aura, making his eyes go wide in fear, "Impossible..." He turned his head and saw what haunted him in his wakeless prison. It was a teenage girl with long, ebony black hair, red eyes, pale-ish skin with strange looking pale red scars all over her body, wearing a black shirt and skirt, a red necktie, red armor on her sides and gauntlets, and black armored boots. She held a katana ready to strike as Sombra was frozen in fear, and spoke the last two words he would ever hear. "You're done." SHING! With one swing, she decapitated him, his head flying off his shoulders as blood spewed and sputtered out of his severed neck and his body fell limp onto the dark crystal he conjured. Spike and the Heart fell to the floor and stared at the girl in horror as she approached him, she noticed his fear and sheathed her blade, then kneeled down to his level and picked up him and the Heart, and jumped down to the crystal ponies and Cadence as the other normal ponies made their way to them. "I believe these are yours." She said, setting Spike and Crystal Heart down. Spike ran to Twilight and embraced her as Shining Armor cautiously grabbed the Crystal Heart from the girl and put it in the pedestal, spinning and shining as the crystal ponies shined with it, but none of them smiled, especially after what they saw. The dark storm dissipated and the Crystal Empire was reclaimed, but nopony felt like celebrating. They stared at the girl as she made her way out of the empire, looking like she accomplished something from Sombra's murder. "Where are you going?" Shining called. "The mission is now complete, I'm heading back." She responds. "Back where?" Twilight asked. She turned to them, "I don't believe that's any of your business." "Well, it's mine if you're who I think you are." Cadence said. The girl raised an eyebrow at the pink Alicorn and faced her fully, "And who, pray tell, am I then?" Cadence glared at her, "You're Akame, the Demon Swordswoman!" Twilight gasped in shock, "Akame?! THE Akame?!" Rainbow Dash looked confused, "Uh, who's Akame?" "She's the one who caused the incident after Nightmare Moon's banishment...the Murder of the First Year." Everyone but the crystal ponies, since they were sealed away, looked at her in shock and anger as they know of the legend of the infamous Akame. I understand you're all confused. So let me take you back over a thousand years ago, back when I first arrived in Equestria... > I > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Comic Con 1,000 Years Ago... I arrived at Comic Con with my parents, my excitement reaching its peak as I stepped out of the car, everybody noticed what I was wearing; a rule 63 Akame outfit, except the Murasame katana. My parents stepped out and my dad looked like he didn't approve of my choice of cosplay outfit, as if he didn't make that clear enough. "Now, son," he began, "are you absolutely, positively, 100% certain that you want to go prancing around in THAT?" I sigh in annoyance, "Yes, dad, Akame Ga Kill is a famous amine and I liked Akame the most. Besides, a lot of people have done Akame before, male AND female, so what's the big deal?" My mom came up and broke up the argument, "Now you be a good boy and have fun, be sure to meet us at the food court later, okay?" "I will, mom. See ya!" As I left to enjoy my Comic Con experience, I could hear my dad speak, "I swear he's having trouble coming out of the closet." "Honey!" I heard my mom chastise him. I let out a sigh of sadness and continued on. After about an hour of roaming around, getting compliments and high fives from a ton of people in the convention, I was ready to head to the food court to meet up with my parents. As I walked, it caught my eye: Murasame. The ACTUAL Murasame from the anime was here in Comic Con at a creepy looking merchant's stand. I knew I had to have it, but I promised my parents I'd be at the food court. Then I remembered my dad's hurtful words... "Eh," I shrug, "they can wait a little longer." I waltzed up to the stand with the merchant giving me a creepy smile. "Hello there, Akame." He greeted in a raspy voice. "Hi, um, how much for the Murasame katana?" He even chuckles creepily, "$30." I had some extra money from saving up like my parents told me to, so I slapped down a 20 and a 10 dollar bill on the table, "Deal!" He hands me the sword and I take it into my hands. It was then I felt it. My heart seized up, much like the real Akame's opponents as they get struck by her blade and get injected with its poison, and I fell to the ground, slowly losing consciousness. The merchant...tricked me... > II > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Equestria After Discord's defeat "Fan out, everypony! Find the remaining creatures!" That's what the Captain of the Royal Guard ordered to her troops as they scoured the nearby forest. Shortly after Discord's defeat at the hooves of the Alicorn sisters, they took charge of leading Equestria from then on, and any of Discord's abominable creatures that were left behind were to be slain immediately on sight. When an hour has passed, the guards reported back with the destruction of the remaining monsters, until a grunt came up to the new princesses all frantic like. "Your Highnesses! Come quick! There's a creature I've never seen before, but it doesn't look like one of Discord's abominations!" The princesses and the Royal Guard followed the grunt to find a bipedal female with black hair, black and red clothing, and a katana in her hand, all the while she is asleep. "Strange creature, indeed." The Captain said, then turned to the princesses, "Should we slay it?" Celestia walked up to the female and use her hoof to move her head from side to side, examining her appearance. She removed her hoof from her face and backed up. "...Get her to the infirmary, restrain her as well, in case she is a threat." The guards did as she said and took her to the medical wing of the castle while roping her arms to the bed. Three Hours Later... I stirred awake and took notice of my surroundings; I was in a hospital of some sort and for some reason, ropes were tied on my arms and onto the bed, holding me down. I tried to struggle, to get my restraints off me, but a voice stopped me. "Be still, young one." A giant pony stepped out of the shadows, she was white with purple eyes and an ethereal like mane and tail, wearing gold regalia around her neck and on her hooves, "I would like to ask you some questions." There was no mistake. I'm in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Yeah, I'm a brony, got a problem? Anyway, I was still trying to grasp my situation, what did that merchant do? "First, what is your name, little girl?" "Girl?" I asked, and immediately noticed the change in my voice and knew who's it was, "...Mirror." "What?" "I need a mirror." Celestia was surprised, but levitated one in front of me. Then I saw it. I heard the rumors of people disappearing from conventions, but I didn't believe them until now. Whatever that merchant did... I somehow became Akame. I knew that I still didn't answer Celestia, so I have the name I should stick with. "...Akame." "Huh?" "My name...is Akame." "Well, it is very nice to meet you, Akame. Forgive me for being blunt, but...what exactly are you?" "Human." "Human...I must say, I've never heard of that species before." "I didn't think you would." "Hmm...does the name, 'Discord', ring a bell?" Of course it does, but I couldn't tell her that, "...Not really, no." "I see." Just then, someone barged in the room, "Your Highness! Our Unicorns have discovered something within the sword the creature had! There's traces of an unknown poison embedded in the blade! We tested it on one of Discord's creatures and it died in seconds!" Celestia gasped in shock at this news and turned to me, "How can you have such a weapon at your disposal, Akame?" I hesitated, but answered, "It's called an Imperial Arms." "Imperial Arms?" "One of many. My sword, Murasame, is known as the 'One Hit Kill Sword' due to the poison inside it. It only takes one strike, once the blade enters my opponent's flesh, the poison courses through the body and inflicts the heart. There is no cure for the poison." The two were rendered silent by my explanation, but the armored pony recovered quickly and drew his spear. "I knew this thing was dangerous! I'll slay it while it's restrained!" With a battle cry, she charged forward, ready to end me, but I didn't even flinch. Celestia stopped the armored pony with a hoof. "Settle down, Commander Hothead!" She ordered, then turned to me with an unreadable expression, "She's powerless without her sword, and she can't move at the present moment, so right now, she poses no threat to us." "I don't intend to hurt anyone here." I said. "Right now, we can't trust you, so you'll have to stay with us, and your sword shall remain in our custody until further notice." Celestia turned back to Commander Hothead, "Leave us. I wish to speak to Akame alone." "But, Your Highness!" Celestia's glare shut her up and she sighed, "Very well." Hothead gave me a glare of her own as she left. Celestia turned back to me, "Tell me more about these, 'Imperial Arms'." For the next few hours, I explained, to the best of my ability, what the Imperial Arms are, how they're made, and what some of them do. Celestia nodded her head every now and again, letting me know she understands my explanation. After I was done, Celestia stood up, lit her horn, and released my bindings. "If what you say is true, then we will need you in the coming days. But for now, you are a Royal Guard in training. Other than me, Commander Hothead is your superior, you will listen to both of us and do what you are told." I nod, "Understood." "Good, now get some rest, your training begins tomorrow." "And my Murasame?" "Shall remain with us until you can be trusted. You will be given a new sword for the time being." She left the hospital room and I was alone, only one thing passing through my mind. Tomorrow's gonna be hell...
