Rainbow Dash sighed, as she sank into the fluffy cloud she now rested upon. This morning had gone about as great as it could have gone. For one thing, she had the day off. Something that hadn’t come around in a long time, since her Wonderbolt reserve duties or secondary weather leader job always kept her on the clock as of late. Sure she could squeeze in the occasional Pinkie Pie party or pony pet play date, but for the most part, she was swamped.

Rainbow fluffed up the soft cloud to make a pillow, letting the rays of the sun warm up her fur. She stretched out like a cat, letting out a long breath as her eyes closed to hopefully catch a few winks of extra sleep. Her attempt, however, was rudely interrupted by the sound of a trumpet, and a few small magical fireworks going off near the town square. She groaned and sat up, staring into the horizon, squinting to try and spot the rude pony that woke her up. To her surprise, she saw it was no other than Trixie herself upon her unfolded stage. Her blue coat stood out from the velvet curtain, as she was making a grand entrance.

Now on any other day, Rainbow would have simply turned over to go back to sleep, but considering the pony in question, her eyes lay upon had caused trouble on two past occasions, she just couldn’t leave Ponyville hanging. Who knows what Trixie would get up to this time?

The cloud behind Rainbowblew apart, as the athlete took to the air and dove down to catch some wind, gliding effortlessly towards the town hall. A small crowd had already begun to gather as Trixie did a few simple illusions to impress the kiddies. Rainbow, of course, was not impressed and soon came into a range where she could see what the show pony was up to. The self-entitled Great and Powerful Trixie was declaring her glory, as her magic sent more fireworks in the air. “Show off,” Rainbow mumbled, still a little peeved about being woken up. Most of the other ponies seemed unimpressed as well, although the foals seemed to be enjoying it. Despite her best efforts, the pegasus let out a chuckle imaging Trixie dressed as a clown at foal’s birthday parties. She sure had the energy for it.

Rainbow kept hovering as she stared about the group that had gathered. She didn’t see her friends around, but she was sure they would show up knowing Trixie is in town. The show pony glanced at her for a few seconds and the pegasus could have sworn she saw her smile grow a bit. Dismissing the accusation, the pegasus lowered herself down, moving towards the front and swiftly getting nose to nose with Trixie. “What are you doing back here?!” She glared at the show mare.

Trixie scoffed, waving her hoof while at the same time taking steps back for some personal space. “Trixie is putting on a show, that’s what. A show which you are rudely interrupting!” She stomped her hoof upon the stage, her horn glowing as she took Rainbow in her magic and tossed her into the crowd.

Rainbow groaned as she rose to her hooves, wiping off the dirt while glaring back towards the show mare who had just resumed her act as if nothing had happened. Not wanting to make a bigger scene of the show pony, she weaved her way through the crowd until she reached the edge, relieved to see her friends had arrived. She threw her hooves up as she spoke. “Can you believe she came back?”

Twilight's eyes showed no signs of anger as she watched Trixie cast an illusionary fire across the stage. She raised an eyebrow at the pegasus shaking her head. “Rainbow, I know she gave us trouble in the past, but I'm sure she’s turned over a new leaf by now. And she hasn’t given us any reason to be concerned, yet.”

Pinkie nodded in agreement. “Yeah, maybe she just came into town to put on the best show ever, while doing amazing things like shooting herself out of a cannon! Oh wait, that hasn’t happened yet.” She tapped her chin as the other two just shrugged.

“Ugh, fine,” Rainbow groaned. “But if she causes trouble, so help me, I’m going to do my best to show her no one messes with Ponyville or my friends!” She pounded her forehooves together. Twilight just rolled her eyes.

Unable to take her planned nap, Rainbow resumed her hovering over the crowd watching the show mare doing various magical acts over the next few minutes. Most of the acts didn’t impress the athlete since she had seen more impressive things from Twilight on her off days. Eventually, the pegasus mare had enough and flew forward. “Come on, show off some real magic, you showboat!” She exclaimed.

Trixie huffed, looking directly towards Rainbow before smirking for a second. Her expression receded into a more neutral smile as she addressed the crowd. “Oh, you want something else? Well, The Great and Powerful Trixie has just the trick. Although, she needs a volunteer, and you're probably too chicken.”

Rainbow swiftly swooped down and landed on stage, a breeze swirling around her. “Are you calling me a coward? Those are fighting words!” She snorted, ignoring the looks on her friends’ faces as she stared down at Trixie’s smug muzzle.

“So you’ll help Trixie perform her magic trick?” Trixie asked, pulling out a stopwatch with a few gemstones around the edges.

Rainbow rolled her eyes .”Pfff, yeah yeah, whatever. So why do you need somepony as awesome as me?” she asked, before glancing at the watch. “Hypnotism? Yeah like that will ever work.”

“Trixie thinks you’re scared to be embarrassed if it did,” Trixie smirked again as the crowd oohed and awed.

Rainbow’s wings fluttered, she stomped her hooves as her pride took hold. “Embarrassed by you? Ha, bring it on!” She sat down in the chair Trixie had floated into the stage, staring at the watch. There no way this will work didn’t work at my six-year birthday party and it isn’t going to work here. She listened to Trixie’s words telling her to relax. To her credit she tried her best to do so, just to prove her wrong. She continued to watch the watch, as it swayed back and forth over and over, her shoulders slumping after a bit as she got into the rhythm. Eventually, the magician’s words faded away as her mind focused on the watch in its motion. The pegasus didn’t have the focus to notice her eyes getting heavy, as they continued to watch the rhythm.

Then, suddenly, she felt normal again! Rainbow blinked, noticing Trixie had moved from her spot while putting the watch away. She quickly noticed the rubbery object in her mouth and spat it out noticing it was a dog bone toy. “W-what?” She blushed fiercely as she noted ponies in the crowd snickering or clapping at the act. “H-hey, what? No way that happened!” She took to the air, hovering away from the stage while flabbergasted. “What did you do?!”

Rainbow felt a tug on her tail pull her down and upon turning around, spotted Twilight who, somehow, was still calm. Albeit, just barely. “Rainbow, calm down. It wasn’t anything that bad. It was only for a few minutes.”

Pinkie nodded. “Oh, you were such a cute puppy. You rolled over and chew the doggy toy. Hehe, you looked like you were having fun, especially when you were ripping up the fake homework.”

Rainbow groaned, her wings covering her face. ‘So not cool,” She spat out some loose paper from her teeth. Luckily no one seemed to be paying her any mind now that Trixie was doing other antics.

Pinkie smiled and petted Rainbow’s mane. “Oh come on, Dashie, you gotta laugh at yourself sometimes.”

The pegasus moved her friend's hoof away and took to the air “Ugh, I’m going to go home and take a nap. See you, girls, later, okay?” With a quick nod of their heads, Rainbow zipped off still blushing as she let the wind blow through her mane.

Rainbow let out a sigh, thankful that she could just go home and relax for a while like she had planned too. Her hooves sank into the soft surface of her cloud home as she landed, stretching like a cat. “Mmm,” She slowly smacked her lips, having a sudden craving for some milk as she entered her house. Giving a nuzzle to her pet tortoise, Tank, she fluttered her way to the kitchen, swiftly opening the magical fridge. “Oh yeah, forgot Pinkie got me some chocolate milk, sweet.” She swiftly poured herself a glass and chugged it down. She sighed in content as the cool substance ran down her throat. With a wipe of her hoof, her mouth was clean.

“Well, nothing says relaxing like Daring Do and a nice nap,” Rainbow said, as she zipped upstairs in a flash, flopping onto her bed like a filly. Her hooves swiftly pounded on her pillow to make it nice and soft before plonking her head upon its surface. Just as she was about to reach for the latest Daring Do novel, however, her eyes fell upon a sheet of paper on her nightstand. Upon a closer look, it seemed to be a letter of some kind.

She picked it up, her eyebrow-raising upon reading the first line. “Rainbow Dumpling?” She hardly noticed her shoulders slump as her eyes lazily scanned the paper. As she finished, her muscles tightened and a feeling of rage came over her. “Ugh, I’m going to give Trixie a piece of my mind!” She jumped out of bed and rushed to the door. She wasn't sure why she was mad but she sure felt like it was the right thing to do. Like impulse, she took to the air and zipped off her mind set on giving the stuck up pony her two bits on...something...she wasn’t sure what but she just needed to. She wasn’t even questioning her own confusion as she soon locked her eyes on Trixie’s wagon, now parked on the edge of town.

A trail of dust was left in her wake as Rainbow landed, skidding to a stop just before the steps. The loud pounded echoed through Trixie small domain as Dash knocked with a scowl upon her face.

“Yes, yes, Trixie heard you the first time,” Trixie groaned, as she opened the top half of her door. “Oh, it’s you. What do you want?” Her snout stuck up into the air like one of those Canterlot snobs. “Is this over that simple hypnosis act I put you through?”

Rainbow blinked, actually having to think about it for a second before she stomped her hooves. “Yeah, that why I wanted to talk face to face!” In her mind, she was thinking to herself. “How could I forget what I was so angry about? Of course, it was about that, so uncool!

Trixie’s smug expression never changed as she glanced around for a moment. “Very well, Trixie will let you in to talk, but no funny business.”

Rainbow rolled her eyes. “Yeah yeah I'm not a monster no matter how ticked I am at you.”

Trixie nodded, unlocking her door before swinging it open. She turned and trotted inside, allowing the pegasus to follow.

Upon entering, Rainbow immediately tripped over something lying on the ground. Her usual reflexes not reacting normally as she faceplanted into the hardwood floor. Her vision swam for what felt like minutes, her head having a soft thump as it ached. Now partly dazed she rose back to her hooves, seeing Trixie dropping something back in her hat before putting it on.

“So sorry about that, Trixie forgot that was there,” Trixe apologized, she seemed to have less anxiety compared to a few moments ago. But before Rainbow could say a word Trixie shook her hoof. “I do hope our little chat has gotten you to see Trixie is not a villain.”

Rainbow blinked a few times momentarily dazed again. However, the confusion quickly faded as she remembered they had a civil chat that had lasted a few minutes, although she herself had been a bit vocal at the start. “Right, yeah, sorry about that whole calling you a fraud thing.”

“Water under the bridge, Trixie will say no more,” Trixie opened her door once again. “Do have a good evening, Rainbow Dash.”

The dazed pegasus exited the wagon turning back to look. ‘Yeah, and uh good luck I guess,” She took to the air yet again and watched the buildings go by as she flew towards home. The golden rays of the sunset shined like fire upon the rooftops. “Celestia sure is showing off this time.” She said to herself.

Rainbow soon reached her house, feeling exhausted. “Been a long day,” She yawned and flew up to her bedroom again. “Goodnight Tank.” She pulled her sheets over herself, pulling her wings against her sides. As she slowly fell asleep, something in the back of her head was telling her something was wrong, but could hardly be heard over Rainbow’s sudden fatigue. Moments after she dozed off, her hoof worked its way into her mouth, a slow thuck sound filling the air as she drooled on it.

Playdate and Set Up

Rainbow slowly awoke the next morning, her eyes feeling heavy as the rays of the sun shined in through the windows. After about a minute of laying in bed and finding more sleep denied to her, she gradually sat up, finding something was amiss. A second or two passed as Rainbow sat there in silence, feeling a soothing sensation wash over her. Something was heard making a thuck kind of sound, and upon waking up fully she opened her eyes, and stared down at her hoof which was promptly being suckled! She let out an eep, blushing as it took some willpower to take it out of her mouth. She wiped the drool off on her blanket before raising an eyebrow. “What the, so not cool!” Even with no one around to witness what had happened, she still felt her cheeks flare as she remained confused as to why she had done that. More importantly, why had it felt so...soothing? She shook her head swiftly climbing out of bed before moving to her bathroom.

As Rainbow Dash brushed her teeth, her only hope was that she could forget this ever happened, considering it to be just a fluke. While brushing she hummed a tune from her childhood, despite finding the memory silly. Her mane was quickly put into her usual athletic style and she looked in the mirror. She stuck her tongue out and started to make silly faces squashing and stretching her muscles. Most of them making her giggle. She jumped back a minute later confused about what she had been doing and why. Her eyes closed for a moment, before opening again and she shrugged moving along to go to work.

Thankfully, the rest of the morning passed without anymore oddities happening. Her memory of yesterday evening was still a bit of a blur, yet she could remember what had happened. She paid it little mind deciding it wasn't worth worrying about and resumed going about, putting clouds in place for the light rain for the evening. As she pushed on the fluffy clouds into place, she glanced over at Thunderlane and waved him over. “Hey, Thunderlane, how’s your brother?”

“Oh, Rumble? He’s great, just had his birthday last week.” Thunderlane replied.

Rainbow pushed a cloud into place wiping some sweat off her brow. “Oh, I bet Pinkie got him just what he wanted too.”

“That’s Pinkie for you,” Thunderlane laughed, as he pushed his cloud into place as well nodding. “Makes it kind of hard for his big brother to get points you know?”

Rainbow can’t help but chuckle. “Hey at least you’re lucky that you're not a middle child,” She wasn’t sure where that came from, but it was relevant. “Hard to get attention when you’re younger sis is adorable and your big sister is a nerd.” Rainbow blinked a few times as if nothing happened. She suddenly felt the overwhelming desire to play. “Are we almost done?”

Thunderlane glanced at the other pegasi going about their jobs. “Um seems like it, why?” The fact that the question had come from Rainbow is what made the inquiry strange.

“N-no reason, just wanting to know.” Rainbow replied, as she darted her eyes about before zipping off to finish her portion quickly! As she worked, she kept eying the park whenever she flew over it. The pegasus bit her lip, trying to focus on her work while also feeling as twitchy as a filly. She practically leaped for joy when the last cloud was put in place. She soared down to the playground beaming happily as if it was normal to do so. Fillies and colts looked at her as she did a few loops and turns before moving over to the swing set and sat down, starting to push herself. “Ah, finally, I can have some fun.” It all felt pretty normal to her as she pushed herself forward. Not that adults using a swing set was anything out of the ordinary, it was more Rainbow’s giggly and cheery demeanor that was different. In fact, swinging broughtsome happy memories to the forefront of Rainbow’s mind. She felt tranquil as she swung, thinking of her mom and dad taking her to the park. Although the park she remembered being in Cloudsdale, which meant there was no flowers or grass, but the feeling was the sort of the same. That memory prompted Rainbow to groan. “Great, now I'm home sick."

Her moment of contemplation was interrupted by a familiar voice calling to her. She saw Scootaloo zooming up to her in a dust cloud, her scooter stopping nearby. "Hey Rainbow Dash," She watched Rainbow push hard one last time before jumping off and using her wings to do a short flip before landing.

“Hey squirt, what's up?" Rainbow asked, for some reason, she still felt like a bundle of energy, as she shifted from one hoof to the other

"Not much, just finished my homework and saw you so here I am," Scootaloo replied. She tilted her head as she saw idol's smile and head bobbing. "You okay? you seem more…. um…. hyper today/"

"Pfff, yeah, of course Ii'm okay. I"m awesome, remember!" Rainbow answered. Before Scootaloo could react, Rainbow bopped her on the nose "Tag!" She shouted, and zipped off!

Scootaloo blinked at the sudden touch, but quickly tried to follow. "Oh, it is so on!" As she chased, she cold tell Rainbow was holding back just for her yet at the same time not making it easy. The older pegasus laughed as they played tag, letting Scootaloo tag her in return and give chase. Rainbow was impressed that the filly got on her scooter to even the odds. This only got the older pony heart’s pumping as she gave chase.

"Oh, now that evens the odd," Rainbow chuckled, as she galloped after the filly who was now much faster, but the pegasus was just as quick on hoof as Scootaloo's scooter, even though she could get quite the speed with those little wings. Needless to say, the chase was quite invigorating, the game only ending once they reached Sugarcube Corner. Both of them were panting, and occasionally laughing.

“That was awesome!” Scootaloo exclaimed as she tagged Rainbow one last time. “Most of the time you’re too busy flying about to do things like this.”

Rainbow stretched her wings feeling more alive than ever. “Well, I just felt like playing instead of flying about, no biggy. Glad you enjoyed it, kiddo,” She ruffled the filly’s mane before following her into the shop. She smiled grew wider at the smell of sweet candy and sugar causing her to lick her lips. “Mmm, what do you say to milkshakes on me?”

“Cool!” Scootaloo fluttered her wings, soon taking a seat at the counter.

Rainbow Dash raced up to the front smiling as Pinkie came bouncing out. “Hey Rainbow, what can I get you?”

“Two milkshakes please,” Rainbow replied, then she blinked upon realizing her mistake. “Oh, I forgot my bit purse.”

“That’s alright, Rainbow, I’ll just put it on your tab,” Pinkie responded, she slid the two finished milkshakes over to her friend while being cheery as usual. “So, you up to anything, Rainbow?”

Rainbow slid the milkshake to Scotaloo and shrugged. “Not really. I finished up the work for the rain this evening, and now I’m just hanging around.”

Pinkie beamed. “Great, cause I could really use a hoof.”

“Oh, what do you need Pinkie? Need someone fast to pick something up for you, or I’m sure I could help bake or something.”

Pinkie shook her head. “No, no, I just need you to watch the twins for about half an hour. The Cakes are busy and I really need to do some deliveries, but can’t I leave those two unsupervised.”

Rainbow adjusted herself in the seat, rubbing her neck. “I don’t know, Pinkie, I don’t know how to do foal care or even diapers for that matter.”

“Oh don’t worry, about that I just changed them,” Pinkie smiled in response. “All you’ve got to do is play with them while I’m gone. Should be a piece of cake for half an hour.”

“Let’s hope they stay in one piece.” Rainbow jokedm causing Pinkie to giggle.

“Good one, Dashie,” Pinkie laughed. “So, you up to it?”

“Sure, no problem,” Rainbow nodded looking over at Scootaloo who was about halfway done with her milkshake. “Hey, kiddo. Play with you later, okay?” She asked, smiling.

“Yeah, no problem,” Scootaloo replied, continuing to drink her milkshake. “I think Apple Bloom had something fun planned for us anyway.”

Rainbow smiled. “Great, why don’t you go do that and I’ll meet up with you if I have time?” She answered, and followed Pinkie passed the counter and up the stairs, until they reached the twins nursery. The air, of course, smelt like foal powder and other such baby smells. Rainbow snout twitched, sniffing about idly. She watched Pinkie nuzzle the two foals as they looked up from their toys letting out adorable coos.

Rainbow moved over and leans down to them. “Hey, there.”

Pound’s little wings fluttered, and he had a big grin on his face. He stood on his hind legs, putting his forehooves to her muzzle. Needless to say, the sight was adorable and Rainbow couldn’t help but daww again and make a silly face at the foal, thus getting the twins to have a giggle fit.

Pinkie smiled. “Aww, you’re a natural, I’ll be back in about half an hour!” And with tha,t she left the room and headed out, leaving Rainbow to foalsit.

Rainbow sat there and watched as the twins quickly waddled to some blocks. Pound banged one of them on the floor, while Pumpkin seemed more entranced in trying to stack a few. The slow nature of such a task wasn’t bothering the pegasus oddly enough. While she normally liked zipping about, this seemed rather simple. She kept observing them as they play and moved over to Pumpkin. The filly looked up at her as Rainbow took a block. “Here, let me help you.” She put the block on top of the second one just slightly off-center. Her plan slowly began to come into play as Pumpkin clapped innocently and set one on top clumsy.

The four-stack tower swayed before tipping over. Pumpkin took the blocks and just giggled in response. Surprisingly enough, Rainbow also laughed along finding it amusing. “Again?” The pegasus asked, as she put the first block down beaming. The foal didn’t seem to mind and kept playing.

Of course, while playing, she kept an eye on Pound too hoping there were would be no flying surges. Even at her age, it could happen at random. Luckily for her, nothing happened throughout the playtime. Rainbow after shaking a rattle for a while to keep Pumpkin entertained moved over to the changing table to take a look. Something about it fascinated her. Her eyes closed as she sniffed in the smell of talcum. She sat down taking in the smell while at the same time listening to the foals playing. Her hooves subconsciously reached out and took one of the small diapers, feeling the texture of its plastic covering. Several moments went by before she opened her eyes, feeling one of the foals tugging on her tail. At the same time, she saw she had been rubbing the padding against her cheek.

With an eep, Rainbow dropped it and turned with a blush. The one who had been tugging on her tail was Pound Cake. “Uh, yes, Pound?” She looked down at the infant who in returned held up a plushie. Rainbow was thankful he didn’t need a change or was hungry. She took the plushie and hugged it. Meanwhile, part of her was wondering “Why was I feeling a diaper? I don’t need one.” Unfortunately, she hadn't a clue on how to respond to her internal question. Thus she went back to doing silly faces at the two to keep the momentum of playtime going. Needless to say by the time Pinkie came back the twins were certainly ready for a good nap.

Pinkie peeked in once she arrived and smiled seeing Dash cradling Pumpkin. “Aww, did you manage to wear them out already?” She bounced in and carefully picked up Pound cradling him as well.

Rainbow nodded proudly. “Yeah, was pretty fun actually,” Pumpkin yawned and began to suckle her hoof as the two watched. “Hey if you need help again, you can ask me,” Rainbow offered. “Well, might need to teach me that icky diaper changing stuff, but still.”

“It sure is fun, but it’s not easy either,” Pinkie chuckled, and laid the tiny colt into the crib moving aside, as Pumpkin was laid next to her brother.

Rainbow stayed quiet until the nursery door was closed. “Yeah I know, but still, was loads of fun, Pinkie,” She blinked in surprise when Pinkie brushed some powder off her rump with a duster. “Huh? H-how did that get there.”

“You probably just sat in it,” Pinkie replied nonchalantly. “Happens to me sometimes when some of it comes out of the diapers,” Then she snorted a bit. “Oh, you should have seen me when the lid came loose and covered me from head to tail in the stuff. Oh was that ever a mess.”

“Y-yeah that must be it.” Rainbow nervously laughed. “What is going on with me today? First, there was that hoof thing , than touching the diaper to my cheek. Get it together, Rainbow Dash. You’re not a foal, you’re a grown mare!” She thought.

The two friends chatted for a bit longer, until Rainbow noticed it was around seven o-clock. “Oh shoot, I got to pick up something from the store before it closes!” Rainbow realized. “Talk to you later okay, PInkie?” Pinkie nodded as the speedster took off out the window.

Rainbow was soon heading down a familiar street. She’d come here many times during the last month or so. All her busy work lately had, for whatever reason, messed with her sleep cycle and thus she had looked for a solution to her problem. The doctor had said it was just from her taking too many nap,s which only made her upset. She was many things but lazy was not one of them. She only took naps when work had drained her too much.

Regardless, the solution to her problem had soon been resolved when she had run into a mare with a particular skill with the music of all things. She’d been skeptical at first, but after the first tape had worked so well, she had been sold on the method of musical therapy. After all, they said music could sooth the savage beast.

With a soft thump, Rainbow landed in front of the mare’s household and knocked. It only took a few moments for a light brown coated pegasus mare to answer the door. “Hey Sweet Song,” She stared at the mare’s soft brown eyes. “You said to pick up some new tapes, right? I still don’t see why I need new ones though.” The tapes she’d been listening to had mostly been sounds of the ocean, or patter of rain on a roof. Mostly gentle filler noise to sooth the soul.

Sweet moved aside and gestured her inside. “Oh, you’d get too used to the same white noise after a while. Would you care to come in for some tea or some cookies?”

Mmm, cookies.” Rainbow thought, before she replied, “Sure I think there’s some time before the rain starts.” Rainbow trotted into the mare’s house, smelling the lavender scent that hung in the air. Her hooves clopped against the wooden floor, as she followed her to the kitchen just across from her living room. “Nice place you got here.” She complimented,

“Why thank you, Rainbow Dash,” Sweet smiled, as she floated out the plate of cookies, heat still radiating off of them, as the kitchen itself smelled of chocolate.

Rainbow ‘smouth began to water as she looked at the cookies and sat down. Another compulsion came over her as she made grabby hooves towards the plate. “Gimmie!” She shouted.

Sweet suppressed a smile as she moved the plate away. “No, you need to ask nicely.”

Rainbow was hardly thinking as she kept reaching for the delectable snack. “No, I want a cookie now!” She meeped as the mare lightly smack her hoof causing her to pull back “Oh!” The momentary pain snapped her out of it as she rubbed her hoof “Ouch! Hey, what was that for?!”

Sweet noticed the change and resumed her motherly smile. ‘Oh, sorry dear I thought I saw a bug on your hoof. My mistake” She held the plate out for Rainbow, watching the filly snatch a few quick as lighting, before scarfing them down. Chocolate ended up on her muzzle, although Dash didn’t notice her behavior at all.

Rainbow moved the bits around in her mouth tasting the warm gooey goodness. “Mmm thanks, can I have some milk?” She watched as the kind mare went to a cupboard pulling out a pink sippy cup. It sparkled in the light, due to having some glitter cover to it. This oddly enough drew Rainbow attention so much that she didn’t even comment about it being a foal glass. Her eyes never drew away from it as Sweet filled it with milk from the fridge and set it down in front of her. “Thank you.” Rainbow smiled.

“Such a polite mare you are,” Sweet said with a hint of motherly praise, the filly of course not noticing. Sweet then trotted out the room to get the tapes for Rainbow, while holding back a squee of delight. “It’s working.” She thought to herself.

Rainbow sipped from the cup, moving it around so she could catch the light as it reflected off the glitter. A giggle escaped her lips as she sipped, momentarily blushing. “It’s just glitter. why am I laughing?” She thought, a thought that quickly passed as Sweet came back into the room with the small satchel containing the new tapes. Quickly getting to her hooves, Rainbow took it from her. “O,h I forgot, do I have to pay you for this?” She asked, once again mentally facehoofing at forgetting her bits.

Sweet shook her head. “No no, it just like library books, just make sure to return the older tapes tomorrow or whenever it convenient.”

“Yeah, sure, no problem. And thanks again for the help.” Rainbow replied. Then she did something unexpected, as her hooves wrapped around the mare’s neck, hugging her for a moment. Rainbow pulled back, blushing “Uh..gotta go.” She raced out the door, heading for her home. “Okay, that’s now five things I can’t explain today. Ugh, get it together.” She mentally told herself.

The rain had just started to come down as Rainbow entered her house, giving Tank a light nuzzle. “Hey buddy, I’m home.” She hummed, feeding him his supper before flying up the stairs to her bedroom. She slid the satchel bag onto her side table and climbed into bed. She stretched, grabbing the latest Daring Do book and reading for a few hours. As the sun began to set she yawned and set her book aside, once she bookmarked where she left off. She got up and went to brush her teeth, making faces in the mirror again when she finished.

Once her nightly hygiene routine was done with, Rainbow headed to her bed and opened the satchelm blinking upon seeing something fluffy. She stared for a moment upon realizing what was in her hooves. It was a bulky white diaper with pink elasticm just her size too. She blinked a few times as she merely looked at it, her hoof occasionally compressing on it. Her mind wandered unable to focus, as she spotted the letter attached to the diaper itself. The words ‘Rainbow Dumpling’ stood out once again her eyes drooping a bit as she read the words. A moment after reading the letter she put it into her paper shredder.. “W-well she said it would help,” She told herself, as she unfolded the padding hesitantly at first but her resolve faded as she wiggled her tail into the back. “Man, this is noisy.” She realized, as she rested her rump on the seat and pulled it up ,somehow knowing how to get it in place snuggly against her rump. The pink elastic stopped at her belly button as she checked it. Satisfied, she can’t help blush at her slightly bowed posture due the stuff between her hind legs. She shifted some more, eventually getting comfy and sighed, pulling the covers over her body, and pulling out the newest tape from the bag. Slotting it into the cassette player, she put the headphone over her head and leaned back, pressing the play button. Soon the sounds of a gentle breeze blowing against the leaves of the trees could be heard. She began to relax as time went by, her eyes slowly closing and her body slumping into her mattress. Once more, once she had slipped into deep sleep, her hoof made it way into her mouth and was suckled. The soft wind continued to blow, occasionally interrupted by a short burst of whispers so soft they could be mistaken as silence.

Rainbow awoke the next morning with her hoof in her mouth again. Her eyes opened as she stared at the sight. Watching as she continued to suckle it, her body laying there unmoved for a few minutes. She had almost forgottne about the padding she had put on the night before. In fact, her sleep had been quite refreshing. She could even remember dreaming of a soft meadow and Fall leaves, even if it was still Summer. The moment of relaxation was abruptly interrupted upon feeling a warmth spread between her legs. The pegasus’ eyes shot open realizing what the feeling was, and pulled her sheets back to see said padding now had a bright yellow tinge to it.

“W-what?!” She stuttered, as she popped her slobbery hoof out. She shifted in her bed, feeling the padding uncomfortably slosh around. Rainbow recalled she hadn’t wet the bed since she was a young filly at flight camp. Heck, not even Fluttershy and Gilda knew that about her, and for good reason. Needless to say, she felt embarrassed as she slid out of bed, waddling to the bathroom to start her morning routine.

For some reason the idea of taking it off hadn’t crossed her mind yet as she brushed her teeth. She wanted to take it off, but something in the mind told her she wasn’t done with it yet, something that she found most odd.

Curious, her free hoof felt the squishy spongy material. “Well, at least it didn’t leak.” She thought to herself, cringing at the thought of having to wash wet bed sheets. Then, suddenly and without warning, Rainbow felt a familiar movement in her bowels! But instead of moving to the toilet to do her business, her body reacted in a most unusual way, it reacted as if it had no idea she was supposed to be potty trained! Her tail lifted and her face scrunched up, as she started to push. She stood there in a daze as she released. letting out a sigh after she was done.

When her deed was complete, Rainbow blushed and snapped back to reality! Upon looking at the sagging diaper she gasped. "Eeep! What, how, when, why did I do that?! Eww, this is so gross!" She hastily began to get the diaper off tossing the thing into the trash, rather than make any attempt to empty it into the toilet. Oddly enough the trash was properly sealed too, and strangely, next to it was a pack of wet wipes from yesterday, which she’d sworn she would never touch. “Guess I have to clean up myself like a foal. Oh this is going to be so disgusting.” Rainbow thought to herself.

Once clean, Rainbow shivered and exited her bathroom. There was no point trying to use the toilet now, not after what she’d just done in her diaper. That was way too natural. Something was so not right. She added it to her list of odd occurrences that had happened lately, before she left her house to fly around. “Hope I did a good enough job cleaning myself up.” She thought.

The air was still moist from the rain, Rainbow’s wings sparkled with dew as she did a few flips and turs taking in breaths of the cool air. She soared through the skies carefree. “Ah, just what I needed.” She told herself, hoping the fresh air would clear whatever lingering thoughts had led to her accident. The brisk wind helped cool her nerves about the oddities, but she was still puzzled about why suckling her hoof had been so soothing. She knew foals did that, but she was no foal! So why had she done that, and why had she wet and messed herself like a foal would do? After a moment she chalked it up as just a way to release stress, at least the hoof suckling part (the rest she could very well do without).

Rainbow’s eyes scanned the ground as she flew along, thinking of what was on her to-do list. It onlytook a moment for her to change direction and head down towards Sugarcube Corner, suddenly having a craving for something sweet. The bakery seemed busy this morning, with ponies lining up at the counter to order tasty treats, or their morning cup of joe.

As Rainbow’s eyes scanned the crowd, she spotted the stand out nature of Trixie magician hat and headed over to the table she was seated. Twilight (who also at that table)looked up from her mocha smiling. “Oh, hello Rainbow Dash. A great morning, isn’t it?”

Rainbow’s glance never drifted away from Trixie as she replied. “Yeah, the rain gave the town the much needed water. But what’s Trixie doing here?”

Trixie scoffed, putting her hoof against her chest. “What, can’t Trixie get coffee while also exchanging knowledge with her former arch-rival?”

“What?!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed, surely she had msheard.

Twilight sipped her coffee. “Yes, Rainbow, Trixie and I were just chatting about magic. Did you know she went to Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns as well?”

Trixie blushed at the comment. “Technically, Trixie never graduated. She dropped out.” Rainbow rolled her eyes, taking a seat by her friend.

“Even so, despite Trixie’s...accidents, she’s self taught pretty well all things considered.” Twilgiht replied.

“Careful egghead you don’t want her head to swell up like a balloon.” Rainbow smirked a bit.

“Ha, you’re just jealous of Trixie, and how she made you play fetch.” Trixie taunted.

Rainbow clenched her teeth hooves slap her hoof against the table. “Rainbow..I mean I don’t let anyone control me.”

“Rainbow relax, it just playful banter,” Twilight commented looking towards Trixie. “Right?”

“Well she did slip into the trance easy enough, and if she didn’t want to do what Trixie asked she wouldn’t have done it,” Trixie explained. “It was hypnosis not mind control. I mean that’s totally another level of magic.”

“Hey, so you do know stuff after all.” Rainbow quipped seeing the magician scowl.

“Did you just call Trixie dumb?” Trixie replied, narrowing her eyes and setting them on Rainbow Dash.

Before Rainbow could speak up, Twilight extended her wings between them. “Stop it, both of you! You’re acting like foals!” Rainbow didn’t notice the slight smirk Trixie had for only a moment. “I”m giving Trixie a chance and letting her learn some magic from me, while I get to learn some of her tricks.” Twilight explained.

Trixie beamed with pride. “Illusions are one of my specialties.”

Rainbow got up, taking in a deep breath of the freshly brewed coffee. “Oh okay, I thought Trixie was up to something,” she shrugged once more and trotted to the counter once the line had subsided. She got her bits from her saddlebag and waved at Pinkie as she approached. “Morning, Pinkie.”

“Hey Rainbow, good to see you up before noon,” Pinkie teased as she poured Rainbow preferred beverage of choice. That being straight up black just like Spitfire had every morning.

“Oh ha ha,” Rainbow rolled her eyes, feeling the hot liquid run down her throat filling her with the much-needed energy she needed to do stunts she loved to do. “I can’t wait to try out a few new stunts I have in mind. Just you wait, you’ll love it!”

“Oh I’m sure I will.” Pinkie replied, then she suddenly was called to the kitchen by Mrs. Cake, leaving Rainbow alone.

Rainbow shrugged moving back to the table and sitting down by Twilight. The two unicorns had started a conversation about arcane runes, something Rainbow had little interest in. Despite this boring drawl, Rainbow didn’t interrupt as she sipped her drink while they chatted. After about five minutes, she felt a nudge on her shoulder knocking her out of her self-induced stupor. “H-huh?” She glanced over to see it was Trixie with a piece of paper. Taking a moment to glance around, the pegasus observed that Twilight had seen herself out, most likely just going the bathroom. “Uh yes, Trixie?”

“Trixie would like to ask for a favor.” Trixe said, and she gave a genuine smile at Rainbow while giving the paper to her.

Rainbow considered the situation for a bit. Given that she had cleared up that one embarrassing moment the other day and that Twilight was giving her another chance, she decided that if her friend could do it, so could she. Besides, there was no way Trixie was responsible for any of what had transpired that morning, it was probably just an isolated incident. “Sure, what you need?” She asked Trixie.

“Oh, I’l be busy with Twilight today, and need a few things from town. Trixie will be happy to pay you back for the costs.” Trixie explained.

“You just need me to go shopping for you? Can’t this wait til later?” Rainbow groaned, as she took the sheet from Trixie and glanced down at it for a moment. She made no sudden movements as she read the message the words drawing her attention.

The note read as follows:

Dear Rainbow Dumpling ,

I would like to invite you over to my house for some fun. Please come by as soon as you can possibly manage, with cookies. Good foals listen to their nannies, and you want to be a good foal, don’t you?

See you soon,
Sweet Song

Rainbow didn’t fully register what she had read nodding her head to nopony in particular, and put the paper into her pouch after seeing the three things to get listed under the message.

“If it’s not too much trouble that would be nice.” Trixie replied as Rainbow blinked.

“Huh, oh yeah, sure, no problem. There only a few things here so I’ll have them found in ten seconds flat!” Rainbow vowed, flapped her wings and flying into the air. For some reason she felt she needed to do as she had been told in the letter. Of course, it hadn’t said for her to rush over there so a little shopping couldn’t hurt.

“Great, run along now.” Trixie instructed.

Rainbow put the list in her pouch, knotting it up before waving at Twilight as she left. “Catch you later, Twilight,” She heard Twilight return a similar reply as Dash took to the air!

Rainbow was soon soaring towards the crafts store. She landed with a soft thump and headed inside. “Let’s see, glitter glue” where would I find that?” She thought, deciding to just check the isles one at a time. As she was slowly scanning the first aisle, a box of crayons caught her attention. In a flash, she darted to it and picked it up. She wasn’t sure why but the thought of drawing silly images came to her mind, as did a smile at the gleeful expectation of said activity. A moment later she shook her head blushing. “Wow where did that come from?” She thought, and rubbed her head. But she kept the crayons on her back as she looked for the glue. The oddity faded from her mind soon enough, as she found what she was looking for and took the pink gluestick off the shelf. “Ah, here we are.”

She bought her purchases a short time later, humming as she headed out. She took a moment to double check the list unknowingly reinforcing the message left for her. The need to hurry up came over her as she folded up the list once again and took off to finish up.

It only took Rainbow fifteen more minutes to buy the other two items for Trixie, and she was soon making her way down the street towards Sweet’s house. All she really knew was that she’d been invited over, and that fun was to be had. And even though Rainbow would rather be flying on a nice day like today, she just couldn’t deny the request no matter how many excuses she tried to tell herself. “I'm a good filly,” She blinked as the thought came to mind. “Filly? I’m a grown mare,” She shook her head again, but the train of thought just wouldn’t depart from her. A moment later, she arrived at Sweet’s house and knocked. “Something fishy’s going on. I just don’t know what it is.” She thought.

The pegasus didn’t have to wait long for a reply, as Sweet Song soon answered the door adorned in a white and blue apron. She looked like Trixie, except older, and her mane and tail were straight in comparison to the curls of the show mare. There was also the matter of her coat color, which was light brown, and her mane and tail being a cakey yellow, to say nothing of her brown eyes. And to top it off, she was a pegasus and not a unicorn.

“Rainbow, so glad you came,” Sweet smiled, and moved inside to let Rainbow follow. “Do you want to help me finish up my baking?”

The smell of cinnamon assaulted Rainbow nostrils as she entered the house, a light bounce in her step. “Sure, can I like the spoon?” She licked her lips eagerly.

Sweet giggled before nodding. “Yes, after we are done.” She watched the inner filly in Dash clap happily.

Rainbow once more shook her head, confused as to why she’d done what she did. “Huh, wait, why did I do that? I’m not a filly.” She said out loud.

Sweet booped Rainbow’s nose to distract her. “Come on, let’s get the dough into small balls on the sheet,” she cooed. She watched her new charge wash her hooves and come over to help. “Be a good filly now, and you can have the spoon after we’re done, okay Rainbow?” Her own wing patting Rainbow’s head like she was a child.

For a moment Rainbow blinked and nodded feeling happiness wash over her. “Okay, Sweet Song, I’ll be good.” She didn’t even seem to mind the patronizing pat on the head or the apron that was put around her, even if said garment was actually a large drool bib. She just happily took some of the cookie dough and rolled it around into balls before putting them on the tray. A natural smile came upon her face while she worked, remembering the times when her mom and she would do such activities. She was never alone though as her younger sister would always want to join in. Not that it was a bad thing, but when doing it with just her mom alone it was more personal. She glanced at Sweet Song as her smiled remained. “This is nice.” she sighed and kept going. Wasn't that different from baking with Pinkie, but it felt more personal this way.

Seeing the slight twitching in Rainbow expression Sweet spoke up. “Rainbow, is something wrong?”

“H-huh, no, I’m fine. Was just thinking,” Rainbow replied, as she set another ball on the sheet while applying some more flower to her hoof. She didn’t want to seem weak to her new friend, but something changed when Sweet spoke again.

“Rainbow Dumpling, tell me what’s wrong.” Sweet asked.

Rainbow’s ears fell flat against her head. “O-okay, I’m feeling a bit home sick, alright?” She said unable to come up with an excuse or lie about it. ‘I haven’t visited my folks in some time since I became a Wonderbolt Reserve member and other stuff.”

Sweet put her wing around Rainbow . “Aww, that’s okay. You can plan a visit to them, can’t you?”

Dash leaned into the wing hug. “Well I guess, I mean I am free on the weekend so I suppose it can’t hurt.” She beamed. “Plus I can totally show off my moves to my older sister. Ha, and she called me lazy! She then quickly finished up the baking, sliding the trays into the oven. But then something hit her that should’ve hit her sooner. “Wait, my last name’s Dash not Dumpling, why are you calling me that?” She asked, turning around but seeing no sign of concern from Sweet Song’s expression.

The mare seemed to hesitate for a second before she replied. “Just a slip of the tongue really. How are you feeling?”

“Fine, just feeling a little confused. The last few days have been a bit odd is all,” Rainbow answered, as she moved into the hallway, seeing the staircase and the rest of the hall that lead farther into the house. “So what now?” She asked. “We could go flying some. I mean I’d totally leave you in the dust, but I guess I could slow down for some casual sightseeing.”

“Oh we’re going to stay inside and play,” Sweet smiled, “Foals love to play, and good foals play with their nanny.”

“Good foals play,” Rainbow Dash replied back in a simplistic tone while her eyes followed the colourful toy keys Sweet was jingling around with her wing. “C-can I have those?” She pointed to the keys, unsure why she wanted them. She just wanted to shake them around. While entranced, she followed Sweet Song down the hall, while trying to grab the keys, and with each passing second became more irritated and less focused, hardly aware that she was being lead. “Come on, gimmie!” She protested.

Sweet lead Rainbow down the hall, finally stopping at a door to her left. She jingled the keys as Rainbow dove for them. She tossed them through the door as she opened it. The cyan pegasus made a sharp turn and dived, catching the keys quickly. She beamed and shook them about for half a minute before once again realizing what she was doing. “H-huh, why was that so fun?” It only took a moment for Rainbow to finally look at her new surroundings and gasp!

The room before her was unmistakably a nursery with a soft blue theme to it. What made it odd however was that a few things were sized up for an adult. Like the crib by the window which could fit a full grown mare quite easily. The changing table had all sort of supplies neatly put on it and was just the right size for her. The realization didn’t quite sink in yet, as she turned to look at Sweet Song ,who was now holding a Spitfire plushie in her hoof, moving it back and forth Rainbow’s eyes unable to not follow it, feeling that compulsion again. “Wait what’s going on? Why do you have a nursery with such big things in it? I didn’t see any kids.” Rainbow asked.

Sweet Song moved the plush left and right, smiling as Rainbow’s eyes followed it with child-like interest. “No, I don’t have any foal but I will soon.” She cooed, seeing the filly tilt her head.

“What do you mean?” Rainbow asked, she kept watching the plushie really wanting it and too distracted to really put the dots together.

“Hehe, you’re such a good foal, and good foals listen to their nanny, right?” Sweet said softly.

Rainbow sat down and nodded slowly, as she just couldn’t take her focus off the soft huggable plush. “F-foal?” It felt right, yet so confusing at the same time.

“Yes, you are a good foal.” Sweet replied.

Being praised in such a way made Rainbow feel nice as she listened. “Can I have that plushie? It looks so soft.”

Sweet smiled back at the pegasus. “Yes you can, but you need to hop up on the table first.”

The filly didn’t question it, as she flapped her wings and was soon laying on her back, reaching out for the plush as Sweet Song came over. “W-wait ,this is the changing table!” She gasped, as snatched the plushie and hugged it. The idea of getting down from it never occurred to her.

“Relax, Rainbow Dumpling, everything will turn out fine,” Sweet cooed “Now raise up your rear.”

“Everything fine,” Rainbow muttered as she slumped back, doing as she told while rubbing the soft plushie against her cheeks. That nagging feeling tugged on the back of her mind that this wasn’t right ,but the filly just felt so at peace that she didn’t focus enough. Then she felt a fluffy white diaper being slid under her, much like the one she had worn last night but with the addition of some foal powder as it was sprinkled upon her nethers. The soft garment was soon taped up. She kicked her legs slightly but for whatever reason, she had not thoughts of taking it off. Her focus was suddenly restored as Sweet blew a raspberry into her tummy, causing the filly to squeal and laugh. The momentary shock snapped her back from the hypnosis for a moment as she gasped for breath. She let out a meep as she looked at the padding, fluttering off the table and hovering in the air.

If Sweet Song was concerned, she showed no signs of it on her face as she simply smiled. “Aww, something wrong, Rainbow?”

“Y-you just put a diaper on me, yet I’m not ripping it off without a second thought.” Rainbow replied, her hoof poking the diaper. “What gives? Something strange is going on here.” She kept snuggling the plush as she hovered. “Wait, you asked me to put one on last night too!” She blushed remembering when she had just used it without a thought.

Sweet Song nodded as she fluttered in the air to hover next to her filly. With a light tug she lowered Rainbow to the floor and looked her in the eyes. “Cause that what foals wear. Can’t have accidents, now can we?”

Rainbow bit her lip struggling to say her next words. “Not...not a foal. T-take it off this is getting weird.” She showed no hostility in her words, cheeks burning as she crinkled with each step. Come on, Rainbow, focus. Diapers are for foals, and you're a good foal..wait what? She shook her head again, staring at Sweet Song with confusion. “W-what did you do to me?” She pressed the plushie against her tighter, as if it would keep her safe. She blushed more, finally noticing that Sweet was petting her mane and her back, she found it to be rather soothing.

“Shhh, it’s alright Rainbow I don’t mean you any harm. In fact, I intend to treat you just like a sweet little filly whenever I want. Well, when it doesn’t conflict with your other activities that is.” Sweet replied.

“What? No, I’m not a foal! Y-you can’t do this!” Rainbow went crossed eyed in confusion, before something rubbery went into her mouth and she felt herself suckle on it. Something it was able to quiet her down. Said object, of course, was a pacifier. A white and pink colored one at that.

“Aww, such a good foal. A good foal who going to feel so relaxed and happy while her nanny takes care of her.” Sweet said in a soothing tone.

The thought of being relaxed crossed the filly’s mind, her body slumping more as she suckled, not even having to think about the action. “B-but you can’t…” She yawned, finding her energy draining out of her as her hoof was taken and she was lead to a crib.

“Trust me Rainbow Dash, I only mean the best for a sweet little foal like you.” Sweet replied, as nudged Rainbow into the mattress, the padding crinkling. She watching the filly try to respond, as her eyes looked up at the mobile, eyelids slowly growing heavy. The mare stood by the crib, raising the gate as Dash passed out, still idly suckling the pacifier. Once Sweet was sure Rainbow was asleep she headed for the door and quietly closed it. She had dinner to make and a few things to explain to her new filly when she inevitably woke up.

Good Little Foal

View Online

An odd warmth greeted Rainbow as she awoke from her two hour nap. She shifted about, the padding between her legs feeling spongy. Upon realization of what happened, she blushed gently rubbing her eyes before eying the mobile that hung above the crib. “Mmmm.” The pacifier had fallen out due to her snoring now hanging around her neck. The pegasus mumbled incoherently as she woke up more, eventually rolling over and getting to her hooves. Her eyes glanced at the clock seeing it was 12:30. Her stomach rumbling right on cue.

For whatever reason, the instinct to just fly over the light blue wooden bars didn’t immediately cross her mind. Instead she took the bars in her hooves and rattled them around. “Mmmm, come on! How do you open this dumb thing?!” Her cheeks continue to burn as the situation sunk in more. The oddest part wasn’t that fact she wasn’t trying to fly to get out, but that she felt almost safe in the process. She couldn't possibly like this kind of stuff, she was way too cool for it. Not to mention, way over aged for a foal. There had to be something going on and she was sure Sweet was responable. Why else would she have a large nursery on standby? Before she could question things further, Sweet Song walked in through the door turning the lights back on with a flick of the light switch.

“Aww, did Rainbow have a nice nap?” She mothered, cooing at the filly. She was clearly aware of the accident Rainbow had suffered in her sleep, but she wasn’t saying anything about it, and neither was Rainbow fussing about it.

Rainbow lowered her hooves, her tail trying and failing to cover the padding. “Y-yeah slept like a foal,” She replied and looked at the crib. “I guess literally in this case.”

Sweet Song giggled and soon hears the rumbling tummy .”Aww, somepony’s hungry,” She trotted over and opened the gate pretty easily. “Good foal for not flying out of your crib.”

Rainbow felt happy at the condescending praise and climbed out, her diaper sagging. “Yeah, starving.” She was quieted by the pacifier once more as Sweet set it back in and took her hoof, leading her back the kitchen and to a highchair just her size which wasn’t there before, or perhaps, she hadn’t noticed. Dash sank her feet into the floor upon seeing it. “W-what?! A highchair?! No way!” she backpedaled a bit.

“Rainbow, you don’t want to be a bad filly do you?” Sweet Song frowned.

The words tugged at Rainbow’s emotions as she felt bad all of a sudden. “N-no Ma’am, I just don’t want to sit in the highchair that for foals.”

Sweet Song took a step towards Rainbow giving yet another motherly smile. “Rainbow, if you sit and eat what Nanny gives you, I’ll let you have some of the cookies for dessert.”

Rainbow’s ears shot up at the prospect of those mouth watering cookies and rushed to the pastel chair, fluttering into the seat! Sweet snickered softly sliding the tray into place over the foal’s lap. “Cookies!” Rainbow clapped happily, distracted by the childish bribe.

“You need to eat everything on your plate, or else no dessert,” Sweet explained, as she trotted to a cupboard across the kitchen, pulling out a few jars that were unmistakably foal food. She came back to the chair, watching Rainbow squirm in her wet padding. “Eat up quickly so we change you.” she cooed.

The first jar wa popped open and Rainbow Dash smelled it. “W-wait foal food? But I’m not-” She was cut off as a spoonful of mushy carrots was plonked into her mouth. With a light gulp, she pushed it down and stuck her tongue out “Gah, that’s so bland! Why would-” She was again cut off as another glob went in.

“That’s a good little foal, eat it all up little one. You want your cookies right?” Sweet cooed scooping up more of the soft carrots into Rainbow open mouth, as she gasped. The sight was awfully cute as a bit dropped onto the bib.

Rainbow, of course, whined as she swallowed each blob, only because it meant she get cookies by the end. “But it’s so bland,” she kicked her hind legs much like any fussy filly. “I want to feed myself.” Upon trying to reach for the spoon, her hoof was slapped causing her to recoil! Her ears fell to her sides as Sweet scolded her while calling her a bad filly. The stern tone alone made Rainbow stop trying to grab it and open up, resigning to her embarrassing fate. She was just glad no one could see this.

As if the universe had been listening to her plea, a few swift knocks were heard at the door. The filly meeped as Sweet Song set the spoon down and went to answer it. Once the mare was out of sight, Rainbow practically dove for the tiny spoon and began to shovel the mush into her mouth just wanting it to be over with. However, in her rush to eat, a bunch of its contents ended up on the bib or the side of her mouth. This realization came too late as she felt a light swat on her padding and a familiar voice laughing.

“Aww such a messy filly.” Trixie commented while looking right at Rainbow’s predicament in all it foalish glory.

Sweet Song snatched the spoon away again. “Rainbow, bad filly, look at the mess you made!”

Several questions ran through Rainbow mind as she stared down at her bib and licked off the bit of mush she could with her tongue. “W-what are you doing here, Trixie?” she squeaked, her cheeks practically on fire.

Trixie stood there proud, a grin upon her smug muzzle. “Trixie just came to see if everything was going well,” she replied. “Plus my sister does make great chocolate chip cookies.”

Rainbow blinked and resumed shifting about when Sweet wiped off her face, the mare still frowning about the bad behavior. “Sister?! What?! You teamed up with her to...to do this to me?!”

“That is correct. Trixie will admit however that it was Sweet Song’s Idea, I just helped out with a few things near the end,” Trixie boasted. “You looked like you needed to relax, but Trixie knew you wouldn’t agree willingly. So let’s just say she planted a teny tiny little idea in your head.”

Another jar was set in front of Rainbow, Sweet spooning it up to Rainbow’s mouth. Rainbow opened up and swallowed once again. “You’re the reason I like this stuff! You must have used some funky magic or something.” She chalked up her hoof suckling and diaper messing to Trixie as well. There was just no natural way she’d started doing that. Being cared for wasn’t bad but the rest of the foalish stuff was so embarrassing, and it left her feeling conflicted.

Trixie smiled nonchalantly. “Nothing fancy, but where’s the fun in revealing the magic behind the trick? You’re a smart pony, you figure out how I did it.” She teased before taking a seat to watch as Rainbow is fed the squash.

“Trixie is my little sister,” Sweet explained. “I didn’t move to Ponyville until last year so I wasn't really here for her um episodes.” A quick glance at Trixie revealed her to be blushing while holding a hoof to her face.

“So do you still want the stuff you wanted,” Rainbow pointed to the bag by the counter. “Or was that just a trick to get me here?”

“Of course not. Nopony made you come here Rainbow,” Sweet Song cooed.. “You came because I simply asked you to in the letter.”

"Trixie is thankful you got her things she needed though." Trixie added.

Rainbow’s tail twitched as she watched the mare bring out some cookies for her. “Oh yeah, you’re right. But that still doesn’t explain the nursery that just happened to have stuff in my size,” Her mouth watered, her attention shrinking and forgetting what she had been talking about, her glance locked onto the morsels within reach. “Mmm, gimme!” She flailed her hooves about to try and reach, but it was no use as the tray kept her sitting firmly in the highchair. Rainbow really wanted her cookies, not caring how she was acting. She kept whining as they were kept just out of reach.

Sweet Song waited for half a minute before speaking, never raising her voice, “Rainbow, remember to ask nicely!” she scolded.

Rainbow scrunched her face up and whined “No, gimmie! Gimmie now!” She wined banging on the tray. The usual strong airhead was too caught up in her emotions to really notice her tantrum behavior. She helped make them for crying out loud, it wasn’t fair!

Sweet’s brow narrowed as she stood firm. “No, bad filly! Don’t make me put you in time out!”

The pinch of being called “bad filly” gave Rainbow cause for concern, but Dash simply was too worked up letting out all her frustration at that very moment. Some of it not even being related to current events. “No, you stupid! Gimmie now!” She kicked about much like any foal would.

Trixie covered her ears. “Gah! Should we spank the little foal?” she asked as Dash let out a scream like a toddler.

Sweet Song hesitated for a moment. She was not really a fan of spanking, but if it needed to be done she would do it. “Rainbow Dash stop it right now or no des-” She winced when one pf the flailing hooves hit her in the cheek. “Ow!”

Rainbow immediately stopped her whining and gasped pulling her hooves back quick as lighting. “N-no, I’m sorry!” She felt the tray being slid off, Sweet’s frown cut into her like a knife. Her panic only grew as her ear was grabbed, and she was tugged over the mare’s lap. “No, no, please!” She begged. She didn’t notice Trixie shocked expression, who seemed to be surprised her sister was going to spank a grown pony in diapers.

“No, bad foals get punished!” Sweet declared, pulling the padding off. She managed to hold Rainbow as she squirmed to get off, wings fluttering about to get her away from danger. However, Sweet’s grip held her foreleg, holding her down as the other was raised.

“No I’m sorry, I’m sorry, please!” Rainbow plea was followed by a yelp as the spanks began, the sound heard across the room. The filly jump at each firm smack against her rump, the angle getting both cheeks. “Ah, ah, ah!” She cried out as she counted in her head. About fifteen spanks later the punishment ended leaving Dash sniffling and blushing. The pain had snapped her out of her trance again, her tantrum replaced with sheer embarrassment. She sniffled, groaning as she sat up on her now sore rear “Ouch, n-not cool.” she rubbed her cutie mark, cheeks flared as cherries.

Sweet Song let the blue mare climb off her lap, hovering in the air and still smelling like pee. “Now, Rainbow, you were a bad filly. I was just doing my part. Do you think it wasn’t deserved?”

“No,” Rainbow stumbled over her words, “Maybe.” She clopped her hooves together blushing. “Why am I hesitating. Spanking is so not cool but I was kind of fussy.” She though. She shook her head again and meeped as Sweet had fluttered up and had taken her hoof, fescorting her towards the nursery, Trixie following behind. “H-hey, let go!” Rainbow whined.

“I need to clean you off, Rainbow Dumpling, do behave.” Sweet cooed leading her in.

Rainbow stopped tugging and let herself be lead in, feeling compliant. “Why are you doing this?”

Sweet Song nudged Rainbow’s rump pushing her up onto the table before patting the mares’ head. “I’m just being a good mother to a sweet little filly,” she cooed, pulling out the wipes. “Lift your rear for me, Rainbow.”

Rainbow Dash so wanted to just run out of the mare’s house and away from this craziness, but having been told to behave she was compelled to listen and raised up her rear. “A-am I a good filly?” She couldn’t help but ask, still blushing. She was confused as to why she had asked such a thing. It just felt so right in a way she couldn’t explain.

“Yes, Rainbow Dumpling, you're a very cooperative foal,” Sweet replied. The thankfully warmed wipes clean away the accident from the filly’s fur, with the precision of one who had done plenty of changes in the past. Trixie stood nearby watching before moving to the closet to peek. Sweet noticed where Trixie was as a thick light pink diaper was slid under Rainbow rump. “Oh, do you want to dress up my filly?”

“Just cause Trixie is the youngest sister, doesn’t mean you can talk to me like I’m a child,” Trixie rolled her eyes. “And yes, Trixie thinks this would look lovely on her.” Held in the magician's magic was an eggshell white onesie with tiny five point stars littered about. The edges of the hatch had pink frills.

Rainbow blushed, squirming as she was sprinkled with powder. She glanced at the suggested attire groaning. “W-what? No way, I don’t want to wear that!” But she didn’t resist as the padding was secured around her waist, although nothing was stopping her from protesting verbally. That was, however, until the same pacifier from earlier was set back into her mouth. The foalified pegasus’ ears perked up as she suckled on it rhythmically, paying less attention as Trixie’s magic lifted up her hooves and the onesie was pulled over her head. “Wait I shouldn’t be here! Why this feel so soft? Mmm, pretty colours.” She thought. She slumped her shoulders as the hatch was buttoned up.

Sweet Song dawwed once again and give her filly a hug. “Now, Rainbow Dumpling, tell me if you have anything to do this evening.”

“Well, other than picking Tank up from Fluttershy’s, no,” Rainbow replied, before resuming the sooth suckling.

Sweet blinked. ‘Oh, well would you like me to pick him up and bring him here for you? We can have a sleep over.”

Rainbow smiled and nodded. “S-sure, no way I’m going out dressed like this, way too uncool.” Her voice was heavily lispy thanks to the pacifier, not that the mare minded.

The mare chuckled at Rainbow response. “Oh don’t be silly, I wouldn’t dream of ruining your reputation. I mean I wouldn't be able to keep this up if anyone found out what I do..”

Huh, yeah I can tell my friends about this. But...do I want to spoil it? Wait, what am I thinking?!” She thought in horror. Her padding was noisy as she rose to her hooves. “What is stopping me from telling?” She frowned, seeing Sweet wasn’t even flinching.

“Why would you, little Rainbow?” Sweet replied, as she patted the pegasus’ head and watching Trixie move for the door. “Trixie, aren’t you going to stay and play?”

“Trixie would love to stay to play with the foal, but she must get back to Twilight,” Trixie explained. “There’s something I need to find out.”

“Ah, very well,” Sweet moved the door with her and looked back at Rainbow. “Be a good foal and stay in the nursery, okay? I shouldn’t be long.”

Rainbow plonked into the foam mat with a poof of air. “Okay, Sweet Song,” she replied cutely, the sound of her suckling could beheard in the quiet air.

“Good foal, feel free to play there are plenty of toys.” Sweet sang while heading down the hall.

Rainbow Dash listened carefully, soon hearing the soft thump of the front door closing followed by the click of the lock. She got up and looked around. “What so great about foal toys?” She thought. She waddled over to wagon painted toy chest and nudged it open, peering inside. There were various plushies of all kinds of animals, rattles, and a few blocks inside but what caught the filly’s eye most was the Daring Do plushie that sat in the corner of the chest. She gasped and snatched it into a hug nuzzling it against her face. “Hehe, hello Daring Do,” she cooed, some drool running down her chin from her constant suckling, hardly noticing it. She felt it in her hooves and flapped her wings flying in small circles making the doll do flips and tricks. Her imagination ran away with her as she set the plush on the crib and quickly dashed to her chest, pulling out a dragon. Coming back to the crib she raised it up and laughed shaking the dragon about. “Haha, I have you now Daring Do.”

Rainbow grabbed on the rattle, shaking it while having the dragon hold it. She took her free hoof moving the Daring plush around. “No you fool, the rattle of power is not for you! You can’t handle it awesomeness!” The rattle was bonked on the pegasus plush head. “Haha, of course, I’m awesome enough, I’m a dragon, grr!” she shook the rattle listening to the beads jingle about inside.

The rhythm of shaking it distracted her for a few moments causing her to once more laugh even going as far as to bang it on the floor. The filly bounced on her diapered rump as she shook to for who knows how long before realizing she had gotten side tracked. “Hehe, oh right,” She took Daring out of the crib. “Come on Daring, we can stop that evil dragon!” She fluttered into the air and gasped. “Oh no the monster has turned the floor into lava, watch out!” Fluttering quickly into the air she perched herself on the toy chest, looking down at the bubbling floor. The Daring Do plushie pointed to the dragon on the far side of the room sitting on the top shelfof the bookshelf. “There he is, but we can’t risk flying we must jump!”

Rainbow loved a challenge and accepted, arching her legs before springing herself onto the change table. She didn’t notice she had knocked over a stack of diapers, as she held onto Daring Do. “You’re going down, dragon!” She laughed joyfully looking for where to jump next. “Ah, the crib, of course.” She thought, as Sse bent her legs and leaped just missing before landing on the mattress. Using her wings to clamber up on the backboard, she stared eagerly at the bookshelf and the evil dragon. “There she is,” She declared. “Hold on, Daring!” Once more Rainbow bent and jumped for it, latching onto the shelf, a few books falling off the top shelf as she clung on. Rainbow was too caught up in her own fun to notice the danger ass he climbed up the shelves. She beamed with joy when she got to the dragon using the Daring plush to swipe it off from the spot, falling to the floor.

“Haha, take that!” The bookshelf began to tilt forward causing the foal to eep. ‘Uh oh!” She flapped, frantically backpedaling as the bookshelf came down with a mighty crash, books scattered everywhere as the loud thunk echoed. Rainbow stared at the mess for a moment but was interrupted by a loud gasp and her pet tortoise bonking her in the head.

“Rainbow Dash!”

Rainbow rubbed her head and blushed. “Uh..hehe, oops.”

Motherly Song

View Online

--Earlier that day --

Sweet Song felt happy, almost overjoyed you might say, at her plan coming together so well. Rainbow Dash had just showed up (albeit a little later then she had expected) in time to help her with the cookies she was making for the upcoming bake sale.

She knew giving her sister the letter would help get Rainbow to come over naturally rather than be forced. As expected Rainbow had the bag with her. She smiled at the pegasus a sense of motherly attachment washing over her. “Rainbow, so good of you to came by,” She said and lead Rainbow inside casually. “Do you want to help me finish up my baking?” She knew how Rainbow would respond, given that the smell from the kitchen was irresistible and because of the reaction from yesterday. To her surprise, Rainbow asked about licking the spoon and given how cute she had asked Sweet Song just couldn't resist and nodded heading into the kitchen proper. She froze for a moment however, as Rainbow rubbed her head.

Rainbow was shaking her head, tilting it slightly. “Huh, wait, why did I do that?” It seemed the hypnosis wasn’t in complete control, but it was never intended to be. A simple distraction would all that would be needed to get Rainbow to move on from her confusion.

Quick as a flash, Sweet reached up and booped Rainbow’s nose while avoiding the question. “Come on, let’s get the dough into small balls and onto the sheet,” The distraction did its job as Rainbow washed her hooves and came over smelling the cinnamon. “Be a good filly now and you can have the spoon after okay, Rainbow?” Her stretched out her wing and patted Rainbo’sw head like was she a child.

While watching Rainbow Dash make each cookie, Sweet couldn’t help but see the mare seemed so carefree and without a worry in her noggin. In fact given how well the sporty pegasus was accepting the suggestions, it supported her theory that Rainbow actually did want a mother figure even if she herself didn’t realize it on a conscious level. As they made the cookies, a slight twitch of Rainbow’s left ear caught her attention. Was it a nervous tick, or something else? “Rainbow, is something wrong?” She asked.

Rainbow seemed startled by the remark. “H-huh, no, I’m fine. I was just thinking.” She was clearly holding something back and while Sweet didn’t want to pry her next words slipped out before she knew it.

“Rainbow dumpling, tell me what’s wrong.” With the obey command given there was no turning back from it. She didn’t like using the absolute but sometimes it was needed. Slip ups could be dangerous and she certainly didn’t want Rainbow or herself getting hurt.

Rainbow’s ears fell flat against her head. “O-okay I’m home sick alright,” She said breaking eye contact for a second. ‘I haven’t visited my folks in some time since I became a Wonderbolt Reserve member and other stuff.”

Sweet put her wing around Rainbow, feeling sympathy.. “Aww, that’s okay. You can plan a visit to them, can’t you?” As far as she knew, there was nothing stopping her from doing so with Cloudsdale only half an hour flight away for the next few weeks.

Dash leaned into the wing hug, her muscles less tense. “Well I guess. I am free on the weekend so I suppose it can’t hurt,” She beamed. “Plus I can totally show off my moves to my older sister. Ha, and she called me lazy!” She quickly helped finish up with baking, sliding the trays into the oven. Sweet blinked yet again when Rainbow spoke. “Wait my last name’s Dash not Dumpling why did you call me that?” She asked turning around to look directly at Sweet.

Sweet hesitated for a second, having to think carefully of how to respond. “Just a slip of the tongue really,” In truth that was the point. The phrase sounded so similar to Rainbow’s name that her mind would mostly register it as her own. “How are you feeling?”

“Fine I’m just feeling a little confused. The last few days have been a bit odd is all,” Rainbow confessed, as she moved into the hallway seeing the staircase and the rest of the hall that led farther into the house. “So what now? We could go flying some. I mean I’d totally leave you in the dust but I guess iIcould slow down for some casual sightseeing.”

Has she forgotten the baked goods in the oven?! It never safe to leave the house when that’s happening! Sweet Song thought, and smiled as she told Rainbow. “No, we’re going to stay inside and play. Foals love to play, and good foals play with their nanny.” She swiftly brought out a set of plastic keys she had nearby, jingling them with her wing.

“Good foals play,” Rainbow Dash replied back, being entranced by the toy. Sweet found it amusing how easily the filly could be sidetracked as she lead her along the hallway jingling the keys.

After a bit of following, Rainbow whined wanting the toy more and more as they neared the nursery. Sweet didn’t utter a word and simply tossed the keys into the room, watching the speedster dive for them. Several minutes passed as Sweet watched the mare play with the toy, rattling the colourful keys together. The moment was adorable seeing her entranced. After a while though, Rainbow blinked and snapped out of it. “H-huh, why was that so fun?”

Sweet Song approached smiling gently. She reached into the chest while Rainbow was looking around, getting out the Spitfire plushie she had bought

“Wait, what’s going on? Why do you have a nursery with such big things in it? I didn’t see any kids.” Rainbow asked.

Sweet moved the plushie around again seeing Rainbow’s focus was glued to the toy. “She gets distracted so easily.” She thought while keeping the filly entertained. “No, I don’t have any foals but I will soon.” She cooed, seeing the filly tilt her head.

“What do you mean?” Rainbow asked.

“Hehe, you’re such a good foal, and good foals listen to their nanny, right?” Sweet said softly moving the plush hooves around and wanting to trance Rainbow into being relaxed.

Rainbow sat down and nodded slowly her eyes tracking the soft huggable plush. “F-foal?”

“Yes, you are a good foal.” Sweet replied.

Rainbow’s smile grew steadily. “Can I have that plushie? It looks so soft.”

Sweet smiled back at the pegasus. “Yes you can, but you need to hop up on the table first.” She pointed to the changing table. Thankfully, the pegisus behaved, fluttered onto the plastic surface and laid down.

“W-wait, this is the changing table!” Rainbow commented.

Sweet watches the filly hug the new plushie closer for protection making the scene cute. “Relax, Rainbow Dumpling, everything will turn out fine,” Sweet cooed .“Now raise up your rear.” Rainbow complied with her of course. he mare unfolded the fluffy white diaper sliding it under Rainbow, and went about the process applying powder, seeing the filly smile as she got to smell it. She took her time to get it on the behaving mare, humming a tune to herself. This moment alone was making her so blissful. After a bit, Sweet taped up the diaper making sure it was snug. Seeing that Rainbow was deep in thought, she took the opportunity to lean in and blow a raspberry into the filly’s tummy soon getting the result of the mare squealing out in laughter.

A moment later, Rainbow fluttered into the air.. “Aww, something wrong, Rainbow?” Sweet asked.

“Y-you just put a diaper on me, yet I’m not ripping it off without a second though,.” Rainbow replied, her hoof poking the diaper. “What gives? Something strange is going on here,” She kept snuggling the plush as she hovered. “Wait, you asked me to put one on last night too!”

Sweet Song nodded as she fluttered into the air to hover next to her filly. She remained calm despite Rainbow panicking about the situation she’d been put in. With a light tug she lowered Rainbow to the floor and looked her in the eyes. “Cause that’s what foals wear. Can’t have accidents, now can we?”

Rainbow squirmed about becoming frisky like a tantruming filly. “What? No, I’m not a foal! Y-you can’t do this!”

Sweet Song panicked quickly plonking a pacifier into the filly’s mouth. She stood her ground like a mother would, determined to have the filly relax.“Aww, such a good foal. A good foal who’s going to feel so relaxed and happy while her nanny takes care of her.” Sweet said in a soothing tone taking Rainbow’s hoof and leading her to the crib, as the filly’s body slumped. She clearly needed a nap. “Trust me, Rainbow Dash, I only mean the best for a sweet little foal like you.” Sweet replied getting Rainbow to lay down. She watching the filly try to respond, Rainbow’s eyes watching the mobile till she dozed off. The sight was so cute that Sweet stood and watched for a few moments, before turning to leave. She sighed, realizing she would have to tell Rainbow eventually, but for now she had her foal and plenty of hours left in the day to enjoy it.

While Rainbow slept, Sweet Song went about making lunch. While she felt happy her plan ws working, she was also worried about it. True it was working well, but Rainbow was showing signs of freaking out over her treatment. Granted she had used odd methods but she was doing the right thing...more or less. “I’m a good mother,” she mumbled while putting the new adult high chair together.

Just as Sweet had finished blending veggies into a paste for her filly, the sound of shuffling over the foal monitor got her attention. She could hear Rainbow mumbling to herself followed by rattling of the bars. “Aww, Rainbow’s awake,” She beamed and took her time walking down the hall. “I bet she feels so much better now that she is well rested,” She softly opened the door and gave a big smile to Rainbow. “Aww, did Rainbow have a nice nap?” She motherly cooed, keeping a straight face as she watching Rainbow shift in her padding which was less crinkly than before, and that only meant one thing. The mare was trying to hide her accident with her tail, failing of course sice the seat was bright yellow.

“Y-yeah slept like a foal,” Rainbow replied. “I guess literally in this case.”

Sweet Song couldn’t help find the moment cute, before she heard the rumbling tummy. “Aww, somepony’s hungry,” She approached and opened the gate, letting her filly out. “Good foal for not flying out of your crib.” Her eyes kept watch the padding as it sagged while Rainbow walked out. The pacifier was picked up from the crib, having fallen out, and was set back into her filly’s mouth before leading her along.

Once in the kitchen she was easily able to convince Rainbow to sit in the highchair using her motherly ways. Her fussiness was worrying but, at the same time, all part of the foal thought process. In the end, she had used the one thing all foals fell for, a bribe of sweets. There were more than enough cookies after all. Once the tray had been put in place, she happily got out the jars of foal food she had prepared.

Rainbow smelled it as the jar brought over. “W-wait foal food? But I’m not-”

Sweet Song wasted no time and began to shovel it into the filly’s mouth. She didn’t pause the process, even as Rainbow whined her protest. Foals needed to eat and it wouldn’t do her any harm. The only worrywas keeping Rainbow from not causing too much of a fuss. “That’s a good little foal, eat it all up little one. You want your cookies right?” Sweet cooed scooping up more of the soft carrots into Rainbow’s open mouth, Rainbow continued to whine resulting in her hoof being slapped for reaching for the spoon

Just as she got yet another spoonful up to Rainbow mouth, a soft knock was heard at the door. Sweet set the spoon back down and moved down the hall to the front door. Upon opening it, her sister, Trixie, walked in.

“I hope you don’t mind me stopping by, but I just had to see how Rainbow is doing.” Trixie chuckled.

“Of course you can little sis,” Sweet teased despite seeing an eye roll from Trixie. The unexpected visit wasn’t a bad thing, she welcomed it. Company was always nice.

Upon returning to the kitchen, Sweet gasped at the mess on Rainbow’s face! Trixie proceeded to tease her about it, playfully of course. Frankly, the mess was surprising. Sure foals make a mess when trying to eat by their own but was Rainbow really that entranced? Sweet snatched the spoon away for her filly. “Rainbow, bad filly, look at the mess you made!”

Rainbow reacted the way Sweet expected, seeming shocked. Her expression only continued to grow frantic as she talked with Trixie and to her surprise, her little sister’s explanation of why Rainbow was acting like she was, was simple enough. Rainbow’s surprise was to be expected of course, she was putting the pieces together a little faster then Song would have liked. She continued to feed the filly as the two chatted. Song felt so motherly even as she wiped off Rainbow mouth and moved to grab the cookies.

Sweet was thankful that the cookies got Rainbow distracted again so quickly. What followed suit, she hadn’t accounted for, as Rainbow tantrumed. She waited for half a minute thinking it would blow over, but it didn’t., “Rainbow, remember to ask nicely!” Most foals would usually go ahead and do so, but Rainbow seemed rather frazzled and kept banging the tray and kicking about, seeming to let out her frustration in her state of mind without any fliters even going as far as to call her stupid. She took no offence of course and stood her ground. “No, bad filly! Don’t make me put you in time out!” Sweet scolded.

As Rainbow’s tantrum grew into a yell (luckily not attracting outside attention), Sweet heard Trixie made the stern comment about spanking. The idea made her hesitate, but was soon settled when the filly’s hoof connected across her face. She backed up a bit and took a deep breath. Even as Rainbow began to say she was sorry, the mare took her out of the highchair for the punishment. She grabbed the foal’s ear, tugging her over her lap. She took another breath steadying the tide of her own emotions so the following would not turn into unjustified abuse of some kind. Each spank upon the filly’s bottom hurt Sweet just as much as it did for Rainbow. But the filly had to be taught that hitting would not be tolerated.

After the needed spanks, Rainbow’s bottom was red. The pain snapped her out of the trance. There was no thrashing or scrambling to get away only a minor blushing of her cheeks. Sweet Song had expected to have to argue her case to the filly, however Rainbow’s response only made her confused over how her hypnosis had affected her. She was actually accepting the punishment she had been given. Sweet was both overjoyed and confused by the response but kept a calm motherly demeanor. Noticing the pee smell still on Rainbow flank, she grabbed Rainbow’s foreleg and led her back to the nursery.

“I need to clean you off, Rainbow Dumpling, do behave.” Sweet cooed, this time not noticing she had used the trigger phrase. As expected the filly behaved as she was lead.

“Why are you doing this?” Rainbow asked, as she sounded worried yet remained calm. It was a good sign for Sweet, but it also made her doubt her little treatment. She so wanted this to work and to have a filly to care for.

Upon nearing the changing table, Sweet nudged Rainbow’s rump up onto the table before patting the mare’s head. “I’m just being a good mother to a sweet little filly,” She cooed, pulling out the wipes. “Lift your rear for me, Rainbow.”

As Rainbow did as she was told, she asked Sweet a question that helped reassure Sweet that what she was doing was okay. “A-am I a good filly?” Rainbow asked her.

“Yes, Rainbow Dumpling, you're a very cooperative foal,” She replied, doing the change swiftly thanks to lots of experince at her last job at a daycare centre. Upon looking behind she noticed Trixie movingto the closet. “Oh, do you want to dress up my filly?”

“Just cause Trixie is the youngest sister, doesn’t mean you can talk to me like I’m a child.” Trixie was alway a litte snappy when it came to acting older and more mature despite her disposition at times. Sweet always found it quirky, something that did mad e Trixie unqiue.

Trixie’s choice of outfit was perfect of course and said costume was soon held over Rainbow. The mare protested at first but soon got entranced by the softness and the previous commands she had been given. For a moment it seemed Rainbow was slipping a little too easily into the role, but Sweet Song pushed it aside in favour of enjoying the time more.

With the evening sun casting its shadow upon the earth below, Sweet had to make sure she wasn’t disturbing Rainbow’s social life at all. Making her miss an appointment would cause suspicion. “Now, Rainbow Dumpling, tell me if you have anything to do this evening.” She was relieved when Rainbow told her she had nothing to do, other than picking up her pet Tortoise. When she heard Rainbow mention how she wouldn't go outside, she couldn't help but chuckle. Being seen walking around in such attire would definitely draw an eye to her relaxation plan. She wanted a few sessions out of the filly if possible.

But one question remained in Sweet’s mind. “What is stopping me from telling?” This particular question had always come up in her mind and while a certain safe guard might keep her from telling, she still was very nervous.“Why would you, little Rainbow?” Sweet replied keeping as calm as she could. Rainbow never got to answer as she moved to leave, Trixie followed as well apparently needing to ask Twilight something .

Sweet turned to look back at Rainbow Dash, smiling motherly. She could trust Rainbow to stay put and not run off, not like she could get the diaper off with the suggestions in her head tricking her into not knowing how to. “Be a good foal and stay in the nursery, okay? I shouldn’t be long.” She instructed. With a cute lispy reply from Rainbow, Sweet Song left her house, hoping that Rainbow wouldn’t cause too big of a mess. “She’ll probably find the coloring books or maybe those Wonderbolt plushies.” She thought, as she trotted along towards Fluttershy’s cottage.

Sweet knew that usually you never leave a foal unsupervised, but Rainbow was a big foal, still full of adult behaviour, and knew not to do things like stick forks into electrical outlets. In truth, she wasn’t sure how the filly would react to so much foalish stimuliation. Being convinced that Rainbow would be just fine, Sweet continued to enjoy her trot soon spotting Fluttershy’s cottage as crossed a small bridge. The sweet smell of flowers mixed with scents of the usual animal odors, and filled the air as Sweet knocked on the front door.

A brief moment passed before Fluttershy opened the door. A robbin was sitting atop her head. “Oh hello, um...Sweet Song, right?” She asked.

“That’s right, we haven’t met much before now. I’m just here to pick up Tank for Rainbow Dash.” Sweet replied, as she was led inside.

“Oh right, Rainbow mentioned you were helping her with her sleep issues, I think. Tank’s been well behaved of course,” Fluttershy smiled, got the leash and the propeller on the pet and rubbed his shell. “How is she anyway?” She asked Sweet.

“Oh her therapy’s going great,” Sweet mentioned. “That white noise does put her to sleep pretty fast.” With one movement of her hoof she took the leash, observing Tank hovering in the air.

Fluttershy moved closer to Sweet, ears perked. “Is Rainbow okay, I mean why are you picking up Tank? Is she hurt or sick?”

“No, no she was just occupied with a task and asked me to come here and get him.” Sweet replied.

“Oh that’s good, well have a good night.” Fluttershy smiled, suspecting nothing. She waved as Sweet left the cottage without an issue.

The return trip to her house was rather uneventful for Sweet, as she didn’t come across another pony along the way. It gave her time to think things over and was more then happy about her decision.

As she neared the front door of her house, Sweet heard a mighty crash from inside! She panicked and unlocked the door, hurrying inside as her dragged the flying tortoise along with her! She skided to a stop, gasping at the fallen bookshelf along with the spilled pile of diapers. “Rainbow Dash!” The words flowed out of her mouth much like a scolding parent. Such a mess had not been what she had though the filly would get into. Sure a few scattered toys, maybe a knocked over chair, but not the whole bookshelf! Luckily it looked un-damaged, thank goodness. The big foal just hovered there, giving a sheepish look.

“My goodness, Rainbow Dash, how did a filly like you make such a mess?” Sweet gestured for Rainbow to help her push the bookshelf back upright, noting the Daring Do doll on the floor.

“S-sorry I just got a litte carried away. I just got compelled to play and-” Rainbow began, but she was gently cut off as the pacifer was re-inserted into her mouth.

Sweet took a deep breath. “It’s alright, Rainbow. I did leave a foal home alone. What did I expect to happen? You to behave and not make any sort of mess?” She lightly teased, seeing the filly blush.

Rainbow. Meanwhile, had quickly snatched up the plushie and was snuggling it, looking cute. “Not a foal.” She mumbled and nuzzled her pet lovingly ,while giving loud suckles.

“Aww, does the good foal want to play with her crayons she bought? I have some colouring books,” Sweet cooed, immediately getting a response as Rainbow nodded eagerly. “Good, you can draw while Mommy makes supper,” She snatched Rainbow’s hoof again leading her back to the kitchen. The filly made a comment about not wanting to sit in her highchair but Sweet just patted her head. “Don’t worry, you can sit at the table and draw, but no doodling on the walls.”

Rainbow blushed and nodded, taking her seat with a light crinkle. She bounced eagerly as a few colouring books were set down for her. “T-thanks.” She took a red crayon and opened up the first book which had images of famous cities like Manhattan.

Sweet continued to make the hay fries and oatmel, observing Rainbow draw using her wing. The filly seemed right at home, willingly drawing happily. There was a delightful smile upon the mare’s face as well. Today may have had its ups and downs but this really did make up for everything watching the diapered mare playing joyfully.

Fifteen mintues later, Sweet had the meal ready and patted the diaper bottom making it crinkle. Her filly blushed. “Dinner time, Dashie! Be a good filly and sit in your highchair.”

As expected, Rainbow fluttered in the chair shifting about until she was safely buckled in. Her hooves pounded on the tray. “Yay nummies,” Her mood flipped like a coin and her face reddening again. “I mean, I’m starving.” She wiggled towards the bowl of oatmeal happy it was not foal food. A whine escaped her mouth when Sweet spooned it up for her. “No,” The mush blobbed again her muzzle, smearing on the closed mouth. “I want to feed myself.”

“Now now, you tried that at lunch time and made a big mess, so I’m going to feed you the whole time,” Sweet protested. Rainbow opened her mouth to talk, but was cut off as another blob was inserted into her mouth. “No butts sweetie, I’ll give you another cookie after dinner if you beave.” That silenced Rainbow for the time being.

Rainbow, however, continued to be fussy. Constantly reaching for the spoon and being denied each time. This resulting in oatmeal getting on both her face and a bit on the tray itself, making Rainbow seem even less like grown mare right now.

“Aww aren’t you just a messy little eater, yes you are,” Sweet teased, pinching Rainbow’s blushing cheek. As promised, when dinner was over, she gave the filly two of the chocolate chip cookies. Sweet happily watching Rainbow devour them, getting more crumbs on her face. With a quick use of a washcloth, Rainbow was nice and clean once more. That was until the filly meeped and covered her crotch as a hiss was heard. It was clear what was happening.

“Aaa, w-what, no!” Rainbow whimpered as she wet herself. “Th-this shouldn't be happening. What did you do?!” She couldn’t seem to help it and broke into a cry as Sweet cleared the tray away and helped Rainbow down. Sweet’s motherly instict took hold as she rubbed the whaling foal’s back.

“Shhh, shh it’s okay. Foals go in their diapees all the time.” Sweet calmly told her charge.

Rainbow squirmed, but didn’t break the hug. “You mean I’m stuck in diapers?” She asked.

Sweet hugged her. “No, no I wouldn never do that. It just when you're wearing them, you’ll go potty more easily.”

“But I don’t want to go potty in diapees! I want to use the big potty!” Rainbow whined, before she wiped off the tears while leaning her head on Sweet’s shoulder.

Sweet sighed, before she got an idea about how to cheer Rainbow up. “It’s okay little one, how about a nice bubble bath and a rubbery ducky to get you feeling fresh for bedtime?” She offered. Even if she had planned to do so at 7:30 and not now, she was sure she could tire the foal out with little trouble.

Rainbow sniffled but smiled at the thought. “Bubble bath?” Her ears perked up. ”My mom used to give me those whenever I had a bad day.”

Sweet felt a little guilty for unknowingly making Rainbow home sick feeling worse, but still said in reply. “Yes, a bubble bath. That’s just what a good little filly needs,” She patted the mare’s diaper before leading her once again, this time up the stairs to the bathroom. Rainbow continue to sulk as she undressed, mumbling under her breath but otherwise behaving herself.

After wiping her clean, Sweet began to run the bath, with Rainbow watching the tub slowly fill with water and bubbles. When the tub had filled up, Sweet helped Rainbow climb into the warm water, swiftly getting the bath brush.

Instead of complaining about bathing herself, Rainbow picked up bubbles on her hooves, rubbing them on her face while giggling. “Hehe, grrr I’m Bubblebeard dirtiest pirate mare who ever sailed the bathtub.” Sweet meeped as she splashed the filly and began to scrub her down.

“Oh yes you are, and soon you’ll be the cleanest foal around. Be a good foal and try not to spill to much water.” Sweet cooed, applying the fruity smelling shampoo to the foal’s coat making sure to get between Rainbow’s well kept wings. Sweet hummed happily seeing Rainbow squeak the rubber duck a few times a big grin on her face. The rest of the bath went by well as both where having fun.

Dash only put up a fuss when she was all washed, and Sweet tried to pull her out. “Nu, I dont’ want to get out yet!” She splashed Sweet and squeaked the duck again. The cute objection caused Sweet Song to grin even more.

“Okay Rainbow, you can stay and play, I’ll be back in five minutes.” Sweet replied, she trusted Rainbow Dash enough to play nice. There was a chance she was acting just so she could possibly escape out the window, but that seemed unlikely to Sweet. Tank was in the nursery after all, plus the filly did seem to be having genuine fun. Thus she let the mare be as she set the onesie from before aside in exchange for a two piece pajama suit. It was white with half moons and stars on it. She hadn’t gone overboard with the attire of course she only need a few items for her filly. Setting the pajamas and the fresh night time diaper on the table, she trotted to the bathroom and headed inside, relieved to see Rainbow still in the tub. “Okay Rainbow Dash, time for the good foal to get ready for beddy bye.” She cooed, as helped her foal out and dried her off, before taking her to the nursery.

“I don’t want to go to bed, I’m not tired!” Rainbow whined exactly like any foal would. She sat down and pouted as her pet nuzzled into her side.

“Now Rainbow, I’ve got some soft pjs and a bottle all set up for you. Be a good foal and hop up, you want a bedtime story don’t you?” Sweet asked. As if on cue, the filly’s ears perk up again and she moved onto the table, but not before grabbing the Daring Do plushie that she had left on the floor.

“I don’t wanna another diaper,” Rainbow pouted, even as her legs were spread and the pink diaper is slid under her rump. “Diapee too girly.” But Sweet continued to diaper up the filly, applying the powder and some cream, as if aware Rainbow would have an accident during the night.

Once the diaper was taped up snug, Sweet helped Rainbow slide the two parts of her sleepwear on, snapping the elasstic on the plastic bottoms. “It’s okay, Rainbow Dash you can be a big filly tomorrow.” This for the most part helped her foal relax a little as, she was taken to the crib. Her pet laid down with her cutely. “Wait here while I get your warm baba, okay?” Sweet instructed.

“O-okay,” Rainbow squeezed the plushie close to her chest, cheeks still flushed with embarrassment. Sweet couldn't really tell if she was enjoying it and afraid to admit it, or if it was just the out of control nature of the whole thing. She soon returned back to her filly with the warm bottle, slotting the amber nipple into Rainbow’s mouth, watching her suckle it right away. Content sounds followed as she guzzled down the milk. A loud burped soon followed. “S-Sweet can I have that bedtime story now? I’m a good filly.” Rainbow asked.

Sweet Song nodded, patting Rainbow’s head as she pulled the bars up and slotted the pacifer into Rainbow’s lips. “Aww, of cousre you can, just as I promised.” She gathered from the now resorted bookshelf a tail about kittens, and took a seat on a stool next to the crib. She watched Rainbow shift and get comfy, staring up at the cloudy mobile. Sweet’s smile never waned as she read out the narrative to the mare motherly joy filling her every bone. She stopped reading once she heard Rainbow snoring, the pacifie by some miracle staying in her mouth for the most part. Without a word, she got up and turned the lights off. “Sleep tight my filly.” She cooed, as she gently closed the door, knowing that whatever happened next, Rainbow would come out of this renewed.

Author's Note: I'm sorry if the chapter seems a bit redundant for the most part. Well hopefully won't take me two weeks to write the next chapter.

A Visit To Home

An unfortunate warmth greeted Rainbow Dash as she woke up the next morning. She groaned slightly, suckling on the binky for a few moment while her eyes tracked the mobile. It was an odd relaxing sensation and for a moment, she almost forgot where she was. The sensation only lasted just long enough for the pegasus to fully wake up. She would never admit it, but she did feel rather well rested. Bot that yesterday had been all that taxing but still. The flushed cheeks continued to adorn her muzzle as she sat up and shifted once more. Not long after, Sweet came trotting in, the smell of coffee overwhelming the foal powder smell of the nursery.

“Good morning little filly,” Sweet cooed lowering the gate for the filly. “I bet you slept well,” Rainbow nodded and was taken to the table swiftly still suckling loudly on the pacifer which kept her quiet. “Don’t worry I’ll get you all cleaned and out of that diapee so you can a be big filly,” She smiled, as she reached up and booped the filly’s nose before laying her down.

The cleaning didn’t take very long, as Rainbow was very eager to get out of said diaper. Soon she felt nice and fresh again and was helped to her hooves. “Uh Th-thank...I guess,” Rainbow mumbled, she followed Sweet Song to her kitchen and eagerly poured herself a cup of the fresh brewed black coffee. The instant buzz made her brain spark and come to life, making her fully awake. She watched Sweet eat some of the pancakes while at the same time nuzzling Tank. “It was something alright last night but never happening again, no way!” She vowed to her tortoise, as she poured a heap of syrup upon her buttery pancakes and began to dive in. Rainbow was never one for neat eating when not at some fancy dinner, and thus she got syrup on her muzzle a little, more than usual due to the childish nature.

The sight of course, made Sweet smile. “Oh, you never know Rainbow,” She winked. “When are you free again?” She asked while pouring another cup of coffee.

“Uh, well, next three days are full of all kinds of stuff. But why would I want to come back? Y-you can’t make me!” Rainbow vowed, as she blushed once more and finished her eating quickly. She couldn't help but let out a giggle at Sweet cleaned her face off, just like one would a filly. In truth Rainbow was way too embarrassed to even mention what had transpired yesterday to her friends (or that part of her actually didn’t mind it all that much, at least minus the diaper part), she had a reputation to uphold and Wonderbolts certainly didn’t wear diapers, with the possible exception of the long fly or show.

Sweet Song just smiled, keeping calm as she ruffled Rainbow’s mane while walking her to the door. “Like I said, this is supposed to be relaxing, Dashie,” She cooed, as she opened the door for the filly while looking outside. “Don’t get into trouble now. Oh, and Rainbow Dumpling, do use your pacifer every night if possible. You know it helps you relax.”

Rainbow blushed while her eye twitched. “N-no way!” She protested, even though the thought of suckling it made her smile a bit. The pegasus shook her head and gave Sweet a quick hug before dashing out and taking to the air taking Tank with her. With a quick glance at the clock tower, she flew along to the park to meet up with her friends for a pony pet playdate.

Applejack was the first to wave at her as she approached, tossing a stick for Wononna. “Hey Rainbow, how’s it goin’?” She asked her friend and athletic rival.

Rainbow undid the leash on Tank’s collar and smiled. “Oh, you know, same old stuff. Well other then volunteering to help a Junior Speedsters fundraiser Can’t leave our future flyers hanging, can I?” She beamed proudly. “I even get to wear a reserve uniform.”

“That’s great to hear, Rainbow Dash,” Rarity commented while dangling a toy mouse around for her cat, Opal. “It’s alway nice to do charity work. I’ve often found my works for charity to be among my most inspired.”

Rainbow nodded happily as she nuzzled Tank. But the reserve uniform wasn’t the only reason she was happy to attend the fundraiser. She knew it also gave her the opportunity to visit her mother and her father while she was in Cloudsdale, but she’d never told any of her friends about her homesickness and she didn’t plan on doing so now. “Plus, you know I can show those junour flyer how real flyers do things,” She boasted ever so slightly. “Oh do I have some sweet tricks thought out!”

Pinkie giggled, while Gummy hung from her mane. “Yeah, just don’t go crashing into the ground and ending up the hospital.”

Rainbow couldn't help but chuckle at that. “Hey, that only happened once!” Hoping to take her mind off such a memory, she approached Angel Bunny, and lightly petted his head, letting out a coo (she was glad Fluttershy appeared to not notice).

Fluttershy sat there, feeding a squirrel some nuts she found while looking over at Rainbow. “I don’t mean to pry, but what were you busy with the other day? If you don’t mind me asking that is?”

The pegasus bit her lip while trying to respond. “You know... stuff. Just got kind of busy.” She tried to spitt out the thought, which was just on the tip of her tounge but always seemed to sip her train of thought. Her hooves shifted about for a moment. “It’s personal.” she finally manage to spit out with a groan.

Fluttershy tilted her head, finding Rainbow’s delayed response a bit odd, but decided to let it be, as she watched Rainbow pet Angel Bunny. “Oh, okay, I just curious.” She said, as she spotted her friend drooling just a little, but Rainbow seemed to catch what she was doing before Fluttershy could comment.

After a bit of playtime, Rainbow took a seat next to Twilight, as the group gathered around for a picnic. “So, uh how’s Trixie been?” She asked while snacking on the macaroni cookies.

“Oh she quite talented. She seems rather interested in looking up things on the mind oddly enough.” Twilight commented.

Mind control might have something to do with that. She’s probably the reason why I’ve been acting like a foal, probably bribed Sweet to tell her about my audio therapy and decided to upgrade it.” Rainbow thought while gobbling down her treat. “Are you sure hypnosis isn't mind control?”

“Only when it’s illegal, like subverting someone’s free will,” Twilight explained. “Are you still holding a grudge for what Trixie did to you on stage? Even Trixie says it was just an act.”

“She’s pretty stubborn when it comes to losin’.” Applejack quipped, getting an eyeroll from Rainbow in return.

“N-no, just wanted to be absolutely sure.” Rainbow protested. Yet again, some odd force kept diverting her topics, causing her to avoid the issue all together. The pegasus groaned internally while continuing to enjoy her sandwich.

By the end of the meal, Rarity coughed and got Rainbow’s attention, floating a napkin over to her. ‘You got a little something..um all over your face actually.” She commented, prompting another blush from the speedster.

“Wow, you ate as messy as Twilight with a hay burger!” PInkie blurted out.

Rainbow eeped and continued to blush as she cleaned her face off. “Hehe, I guess I was a bit more hungry than I thought.” She commented, she hadn’t noticed how she’d been eating at all.

The group continued to idly chat, while enjoying the fine morning. Before they all eventually went their seperate ways, including Rainbow Dash who had to fly back to her house to drop off Tank and put on her reserve outfit.

Rainbow took in a deep breath and smiled, arriving in Cloudsdale around one o-clock. Her small overnight bag sat on her back as she flew through the floating city. She hummed as she did a few quick flips while heading for her old house. “I should have time to chat for a bit before I have to get to the fundraiser.” The pegasus thought, as with a sharp turn she dived, down before landing with a poof upon the front deck of her parents’ house. It wasn’t anything, just your typical two story Cloudsdale house.

Rainbow’s quick knocking was soon answered, as her father, Blue Streak, answered the door while moving a few strands of his similar rainbow colored mane out of his eyes. “Oh, Rainbow, what a surprise!” He exclaimed, as he pulled his daughter into a hug and giving her head a sudden nuggy. “Hehe, how’s it going, slugger?” He teased, remembering the nickname he’d given to his young sports lovr.

Rainbow giggled at her dad’s antics, he was just being his usual charming self. “Hehe, hey Dad. Just thought I’d drop my stuff off before heading to my charity event is all,” She explaine. She entered the main lobby of the house and stared around.. “Is Mom home?” She asked.

Blue Streak nodded, flying up the stairs. “I’ll go get her, wait right here.” It only took a moment for Rainbow’s mother, Firefly, to come down the stairs and hug her filly.

“Rainbow, so nice to see you!” Firefly exclaimed, as she kissed her’s daughter forhead. Rainbow blushed, even though she felt happy to recieve such attention. Her mom always was the smothering type. It was kind of embarassing in public but right now Rainbow didn’t mind it that much, and she couldn't help but smile while nuzzling her mom.

“I missed you!” Rainbow exclaimed and hugged her mom more, smelling the rosey scent on her mom’s mane. Her mother happily hugged back nuzzling too.

“It has been a while, hasn’t it?” Firefly asked, petting Rainbow’s mane. The other mare nodded, snuggling into her mom for a few moments longer before letting go.

“Y-yeah, I got a little home sick and... well, the opportunity kind of presented itself,” Rainbow explained, as she happily took her bag into the guest room, setting it near the bed. “Maybe I’ll stay another day, just to enjoy the company. Maybe two if you don’t mind.” She offered.

Firefly smiled while standing in the doorway. “Not at all, Rainbow Dash, always happy to have family back in the house. It’s been lonely not having any of our foals around, we’d appreciate the company.”

“Yeah, hasn’t changed much since I was here last,” Rainbow observed, then she remembered.” Hey did you get to see a flight show in Canterlot at all? I got the chance to fly with Spitfire and Soarin and all the other Wonderbolts, it was awesome!” She beamed while doing a small flip.

“Your father saw it when he was on a business trip,” Firefly smiled. “He says you did a great job, and he looks forward to seeing you become an offical Wonderbolt someday.”

Pride built up in Rainbow as she puffed out her chest. “Yeah, I’m awesome! And I can’t wait to graduate from the reserves! When I do, you and Dad are getting front row seats to my first show!” She gave her mom another hug. “Well, I guess should be going now, don’t wanna be late. I’ll be back in a few hours!” She replied, zipping down the stairs and grabbing a quick cup of coffee before heading out.

The charity event went smoothly, Rainbow even got recognition for her Sonic Rainboom. It was great fun meeting and talking with the parents of the Junior Speedsters, but it was very exhausting too, participating in some of the children’s games really wore out Rainbow Dash (even though she found she really enjoyed playing them, somehow they made her feel like a kid again).

When Rainbow landed back at her parents house it was nearly suppertime. A good thing too, as her tummy began to let out whines of protest. Rainbow entered the house swiftly and gave Firefly a hug, nuzzling into her without really noticing how cuddly she was acting. Her mom didn’t seem to care all that much.

“I take it the event went well?” Firefly asked patting her wing on Rainbow’s back.

Rainbow nodded wiping some sweat from her forehead. “Oh yeah, it was great, what’s for dinner?” She asked, sounding almost like a filly again.

Both Firefly and Streak giggled at this and headed for the dinner table.

The smell of fresh biscuits and mashed potatoes greeted Rainbow’s nose. She smiled, while sitting down. “Do you have an apron?” She asked, then blinked at what she said.

“You mean a bib? Hehe, maybe,” Firefly giggled. “It’s been ages since you wore one at dinner. Probably since you graduated pull-ups.”

“Uh y-yeah, uh never mind.” Rainbow blushed, shifting about in her seat.

But Firefly still got up and moved to a cupboard in the far corner of the kithcne, looking in a bottom drawer. “Nonsense, Rainbow, I have few left from when you were a foal, might be a bit small though.” She commented and took notice of Rianbow’s blushing cheeks as she tried to tie the pink apron on her filly. Rainbow meeped but oddly let her mom do so. It was rather smal, but it would stop any droplets.

“Uh, w-well thanks,” Rainbow replied, asse scooped peas onto her plate and heard her mom giggle. “S-so, heard anything from my sisters?” She asked, hoping to change the subject.

“Oh they’re doing great. Sunbeam won another pageant,” Firefly commented, then she saw Rainbow roll her eyes. “Now Rainbow, I know you're not into being covered in makeup, but that’s no reason to scoff at it.”

Rainbow chuckled but apologized. “Sorry, guess if I can handle Rarity, I can take it. Besides, a little lipstick never hurt anypony,” She dug into her potatoes, some getting on her muzzle as she ate. Her parents watched her getting some mess on the bib too, but both were too surprised to say anything. Rainbow wiped off her muzzle quickly upon realizing her mistake. “Hehe oops, sorry. Guess I was hungry,’ She blushed, mentally facehoofing along with a groan.

“It’s alright, Rainbow, I didn’t know you missed my home cooking that much,” Firefly smiled, she always had a tedency to be nice and carefree (although she was never one to shy away from being stern either, as her children could remember many a trip over her knees). “Kind or reminds me of when you were a wee filly-”

“Eep!” Rainbow zipped away in a flash as her cheeks flared, making her parents very confused at her reaction! She closed the door to her room and screamed into her pillow. “Ugh, get it together, Rainbow!” She told herself. She thought for several moments, and remembered yesterday with Sweet, particularly being treated like an actual foal even to the point of being diapered. “Sweet’s involved somehow I just know it.” She thought.

Needing a break from her troubles, Rainbow got up and walked towards the stairs to the basement, unaware that her mom silently watched he,r as she descended into the maze of cardboard boxes and nick nacks. Rainbow wasn't sure what she was looking for, she just wanted to peek around and explore. Some part of her even imagined it as a Daring Do adventure, exploring a temple of lost riches.

The good thing about cloud houses was, they tended to absorb light pretty well making even basements bright enough to see in without a flashlight or electrical lighting. Still, the cavern of boxes was quiet the opportunity for Rainbow. She crouched along the floor, eyeing each box as she moved along. checking for nonexistent traps. A faint giggled escaped Rainbow’s mouth again, as she checked in a few boxes, finding old forgotten books. “Wow, Mom sure kept a lot of stuff.” She thought, as she dusted off the faded cover of a foal storybook. The cute brown filly on the cover carrying a basket in her mouth stared back at the mare with a carefree grin. The image made Rainbow smile right back, as a ping of nostalgia echoed in her mind. Suddenly, she found herself remembering a memory from when she was five years old.

It was a calm summer evening in Cloudsdale. Rainbow Dash had just been fed her supper, and her foalsitter was trying to put pajamas on her. Rainbow was fussy of course, she was give years old and at the age where she refused to go to bed before her mom came home. She kicked away once more. “I wan Mama!” She whined.

Swirly Sweet, the white coated teen pegasus mare with a light blue and mane tail styled in short locks, blue eyes, and a toilet seat cutie mark sighed, trying to pull her back (she was both a foalsitter and toilet training coach, though she was the former much more than latter). “Rainbow, your mommy might be late coming home,” She attempted to explain. “So we need to get you into bed, or you’ll get cranky. And nopony likes a cranky foal. Besides, you’ve eaten, used the potty, and bathed without your mommy around. Can’t you go to bed without her?”

“Nu, I wan Mama!” Rainbow protested, stomping her hooves about and tossing a plushie at her foalsitter.

Just as Swirly was about to reply, Firefly came into the doorway, smiling. “Guess who’s home early?” Firefly sang, holding her hooves out as Rainbow ran into them.

“Mommy!” Rainbow happily exclaimed, as she nuzzled into her mom’s fur while beaming wide.

“Aww, I’m here Dashie,” Firefly replied, as she nuzzled her filly. You’re suppose to be in bed, silly filly.”

“But I wanna see you, I missed you.” Rainbow whined, as her mom patted the fresh nighttime diaper she wore, prompting a few crinkles from the padding.

“I missed you too, Rainbow,” Firefly smiled. “But I got you a present!” She cooed, and delighted in seeing her filly smile wider.

Rainbow bounced about on her hooves. “What is it?!” She asked, as hopped on her hind legs, leaning on her mommy with glee. Moments later her mom pulled out a story book that had a cute brown filly on the cover. “Hehe, pretty filly,” Rainbow commented. She was unable to read much, but loved to have stories be read to her.

“Yes Rainbow, mommy got you a new bedtime story but you have to be in bed for me to read it.” Firefly explained. This of course got Rainbow to co-operate, much to Swirly Sweet’s surprise and relief.

Rainbow swiftly put on her white pjs with cartoonish Wonderbolts printed on them. The fabric made the bulge of her nighttime diaper very obvious, as the young filly was set on her bed.

Firefly got Rainbow tucked in and smiled, as she moved to sit down on the bed and read the new bedtime story Her foal shifted and got comfy, looking at the pretty pictures of the brown filly from the cover at some kind of picnic.

With her full attention on the story, Rainbow listened closely, all the while hugging her teddy bear with both hooves. Her mom’s voice was soothing and fun to listen to, as she was slowly lulled to sleep by the story.

Rainbow chuckled, staring at the worn binding and bits of clear tape that held the book together. She may not have had the best recollection of everything she’d done as a foal/young filly, but she did remember that the old story book she was now holding had been read to her countless times, and it had been one of her favorites. As if handling a fresh snowflake, Rainbow’s hoof slowly opened the cover, flipping through a few pages as she looked at the familiar drawings. There were no words to describe how nice it felt to just hold such a childhood memory in her hooves again.

Upon setting the book back in the box, Rainbow’s eyes fell upon the other container nearby labeled ‘Toys’. Rainbow wings twitched as she went over and opened the cupboard box, various old foal toys greeted her. She cooed, and a in daze picked out a monkey plush that rattled when shaken. She giggled ever so slightly, as shook it again. “Hehe, I remember this little guy.” Rainbow thought, she shook it a few more times before setting it back and gasped, eyes going wide, as she pulled out a soft rose red blanket and nuzzled it! “My blankie!” She giggled, while smiling. Her hoof felt the still soft cottony pattern, and it made her feel safe as she embraced it.

Instantly, Rainbow started to feel better, almost forgetting her odd behaviour during dinner. Carrying the blanket with her, she fluttered back up the stairs, only to run into her mom. She let out a meep, clinging her blanket tightly for security just as she’d done as a child.

Firefly stared at the foal blanket with a raised eyebrow. “Hmm, is that your old blanket?” She asked her daughter, before she smiled. “You used to love carrying that thing around with you everywhere, it was so cute.”

Rainbow blushed, before pulling her mom in hug. Suddenly, before she could even process it, the words slipped out. “T-this may sound odd b-but... um…. can you read me a bedtime story and cuddle me for a bit?” She meeped quietly. “What am I doing?!” She thought, even though the idea of being cuddled by her mother felt oddly comforting and reassuring.

Firefly paused for a moment, her head tilted with an equally puzzled expression upon her face. But seeing how Rainbow was holding the blanket made her sympathize with her daughter. She may not get another chance to do something like this, and Rainbow had always been her favorite child. “Alright, Rainbow, if that’s what you want.” She sweetly told her, petting her daughter on the forehead.

Rainbow blushed but found her body slumping against her mother and nuzzling lightly. “Th-thanks.” She replied, as she held her blanket and the two proceeded to the guest bedroom. Once on the bed her mother pulled Rainbow in close causing the filly to grin and relax even more. Rainbow proceeded to reach into her bag, she pulled out a Daring Do novel with a bookmark sticking out. “Can you read me a chapter or two of Daring Do and The Ring of Destiny?” She asked, as she leaned on her mother while sighing contently.

Firefly noticed the odd behaviour, but simply took it as her daughter needing comfort over something that she wasn't willing to talk about. Plus her snuggling her blanket reminded Firefly of so long ago, when her little filly believed there were monsters under her bed. Extending her wing over her filly, Firefly opened the book and found the page Rainbow had marked. Her tender voice began to read the chapter, even trying voices for the characters just like when she had read to her filly many years ago, doing it as much for her as for Rainbow sake.

Rainbow didn’t object to the voices, it only made the experience more fun somehow. Sure it was childish but Rainbow just felt it was...right somehow. She slumped more while being read to, closing her eyes as well. Nearly an hour of reading passed before Firefly nudged her filly awake. “Hu-huh, what?” Rainbow blushed.

“Wow, you must be exhausted, Rainbow,” Firefly observed, as she closed the book and set it down. “I’ll let you get some sleep, and in the morning I’ll fix you breakfast if you’d like.” She gave her filly another hug, and a kiss on the forehead.

Rainbow bit her lip having to fight the urge to ask to be tucked in. She swallowed a lump in her throat .”Y-yeah, night Mom.” She rushed over and gave her mom one last hug before the door closed.

Rainbow sighed pulling the sheets back to climb into bed. Her hooves froze for a brief moment as she reached into her bag and snatched up the pacifier, popping it in between her lips. She suckled it, hardly registering what she had done, as she climbed in while feeling a wave of bliss wash over her. The soothing thucking echoed in her ears as she closed her eyes, soon dozing from fatigue. Her hooves snuggled her foal blanket close as a faint coo was heard before she fully went to sleep.

(Author's note: So yeah about two more chapters to go. A finale chapter and a aftermath one of sorts. Now that the tricky bit.)

Seconds With Sweet

View Online

It had been a week since Rainbow’s trip to Cloudsdale. and the athletic pegasus had been rather happy all the way through it. Even the hours of moving clouds around for a partly cloudy day, were filled with her idly humming or a skip in her step. She couldn't quite explain why, she just felt younger. Rainbow always pushed back the thought that Sweet’s session was the reason she was so carefree right now, but that only made her blush each time, the image of her padded tush always lingering. Not to mention waking up with the pacifier each morning no matter where she stored it (at least she wasn’t wetting the bed anymore, though for some reason she still found herself putting on a diaper before going to sleep).

One morning, Rainbow was feeling quite exhausted. The pegasus had gotten up early that morning (practically sunrise), and had been involved in moving the rainclouds off of Sweet Apple Acres. Needless to say, the weather pony was still drowsy, she never was much of a morning pony. After getting rid of the last cloud she rubbed her eyes and looked at the fields of apple trees below. “Mmm, too tired to go home.” She yawned, before she used the thermals to glide herself along, soon descending towards a nice big tree. Settling down on of one its big branches, Rainbo Dash got as comfortable as she could, and like a light switch fell back asleep, using a puff of cloud as a pillow. How anyone could sleep in a tree rather than a cloud was any pegsaus’ guess, but somehow Rainbow managed.

Rainbow’s sweet slumber was only interrupted by someone calling her name. “Rainbow!”

Rainbow mumbled something, unaware that drool was running down her chin.

“Rainbow!” The voice got louder, and a moment later the tree shook.

Rainbow wasn’t sleeping anymore! The pegasus’ eyes shot open, noting the hoof in her mouth split seconds before the shockwave rolled her off the branch, resulting in a faceplant to the earth below. A little dazed, Rainbow laid her haid for a second, groaning. “Ow,” She looked up, seeing Applejack with a raised eyebrow. “Ugh, Applejack? What the hay was that about?”

“Well I needed to talk to ya, but I can’t frankly climb up the tree to nudge you awake, so I bucked it,” Applejack confessed. “Sorry partner, didn’t know you’d fall off.”

Rainbow rubbed her head, then her eyes. “So what if i slept in one of your trees? I had way too early a morning. What’s so important that you couldn’t let me sleep?”She asked, she always hated being woken up from her naps.

Applejack blushed for some reason making Rainbow worried. “Well, I uh..saw you suckin’ on your hoof and droolin’,” She explained. “Usually you snore like a chainsaw, so I just thought I’d ask, what’s up with that?”

Rainbow just barely contained her shock, she couldn’t believe one of her friends had caught her doing something so infantile! “Uh, it’s nothing, probably just an odd dream or something. You know that can happen.” She replied nervously and bolted, leaving a rainbow trail in her wake!

The atheltic pegasus groaned, her cheeks constantly flushed as she quickly exited Sweet Apple Acres and flew into town, bolting around a few corners to ensure she’d lose Applejack if the farm pony tried to follow. Rainbow’s mad dash oddly enough ended right at Sweet Song’s house. “Phew that was...wait, why did I come here?” She wondered outloud.

Just as Rainbow finished speaking, the front door opened, and Sweet gasped. “Rainbow Dash, so good of you to stop by!” The mare pulled the filly into a hug. “Is something wrong, Dashie? Nanny can make it all better.”

Rainbow meeped at the hug, but also felt a strange sense of comfort. “I-I don’t know things are getting weird ever since...well you know.” She blushed.

This seemed to puzzle Sweet. “Weird how, dumpling?” She asked, as she unceremoniously took Rainbow’s hoof, leading her inside with little resistance from the filly.

“W-well somehow that pacifier you gave me keeps ending up in my mouth each night no matter what I do. Small critters keep drawing my attention, and just recently Applejack saw me drooling on my hoof.” Rainbow confessed, still blushing.

Sweet Song rubbed her chin for a moment, her muzzle narrowed in thought. “But Rainbow dumpling, don’t you like your binky?” She asked.

The blush on the athlete's cheeks only grew stronger. ‘Well yes, but it still uncool. I mean granted I have been more relaxed and joyful lately, but I’m also acting like a foal in public!” She suddenly clung to Sweet as if the mare’s embrace would protect her.

Sweet Song gently moved her hoof down Rainbow’s mane and back. “Oh my. It’s okay little filly, no need to fear. You are safe here.” She gently cooed, as she comforted Rainbow.

Rainbow hardly noticed much of anything as the soothing patting continued for a minute in silence. She closed her eyes, sighing as her worries lessened and no longer felt afraid of anypony finding out what she’d done. Without even feeling the transition, the mare found herself laying back on the changing table once more.

“Shhh, it’s okay Rainbow Dumpling. Just let Nanny Sweet get you all nice and comfy, okay?” Sweet cooed, getting out the same flurry white diaper from before.

Rainbow slumped back, her limbs easily spread as her tail was threaded through the back hole. She had to admit, she did like the smell of the foal powder as it was deposited onto her rump, the entire delicate care was comforting in a way. The padding soon pressed around her nethers and was taped into place all nice and snug. Holding still, she watched Sweet check if it was on right, before Sweet helped her up.

“Good filly, everything is okay now,” Sweet comforted, before setting a red pacifier with rainbow coloured handle into her filly’s mouth, immediately watching it bob up and down. “There, there, shhh.” She helped Rainbow down onto the padded floor, giving her a quick hug.

Rainbow flopped onto her stomach, suckling happy on the binky. It didn’t seem like she would want to get up. “Why is this so soothing?” She wondered. “This can't be right, can it?” Her thoughts were interrupted, as Sweet nuzzled her.

“You okay?” Sweet asked, her tone sounding just like a mother comforting her filly after a bad dream.

The padded mare blushed, noting how motherly Sweet was being. It reminded her of how she used to let her own mom read her a bedtime story, something she’d insisted she was too old for by the time she left for her first flight camp.

Rainbow kicked her hind legs, causing crinkles. This couldn't be right. She was a big filly, she could care for herself. Yet, here she was, wrapped in a protective garment and being watched by somepony else. The fact she was even considering this treatment was working was pulling Rainbow in so many directions. “I don’t want to be a foal!” She whined, feeling a diaper pat.

“It’s okay Rainbow, in this room you're safe. And no matter how you act inside this place, nothing will change outside,” Sweet cooed, as she petted her filly. “Are you hungry, Dashie? I have something special in mind if you are.”

Rainbow stuck her tongue out. “Foal food, icky.” She replied, rolling over to lay on her back. She looked at the ceiling, noticing the glow in the dark stars scattered about.

Sweet giggled. “No, it not foal food, but it will remind you of your mommy..”

Rainbow wasn’t sure what Sweet meant, as she watched Sweet trot out the nursery door and down the hall. Rainbow’s hoof felt the padding again. “Why do I feel so happy wearing this thing?” She thought, as she quickly got up and waddled to the toy chest picking up the Daring Do plushie. The plushie just seem to bring the inner child out of her as she snuggled it against her cheek. She then yawned and laid down in the crib, a task that was made much easier by the fact that this time she remembered her wings.

About a minute later Sweet Song came back into the nursery, a baby bottle with a pink nipple floating in her magic. Rainbow turned her head to look. “A-a bottle?” She asked, as with a slow head tilt she sat up.

“Indeed, a nice warm baba, full of yummy milk.” Sweet replied, as she leaned the filly back on one of her forelegs, supporting Rainbow’s head while the other moved the nipple into the filly’s mouth. Not a word had to be said as the diapered mare began to suckle on it naturally, just like her pacifier. She could still see the blush flushed across her foal’s muzzle while watching the liquid drain.

Rainbow held her plush in her left foreleg her tongue tasting the odd flavor of the milk while it ran down her throat. It was creamier than normal milk, yet it flowed just the same. The mystery was laid to rest, as the filly closed her eyes and continued to gulp it down, leaning back into the supportive hoof. Moments passed and in the blink of an eye she fell back asleep cutely, but still suckling her milk. The quick cat nap only last about ten minutes before she opened her eyes and blushed. “Mmm, sorry. Had a early morning and I’m still tired.” She apologized as the filly shifted her padding about, making it loudly crinkle.

“Oh you are? Are you relaxed and happy?” Sweet asked as she patted Rainbow’s back in a rhythm.

Rainbow nodded. “I guess so. I don’t see how suckling on a bottle is...oh right, nursing.” She realized. She could still remember accidentally walking in on Miss Cake while she had been feeding the twins in such a way. To be fair it was her own fault for flying through an open window.

“Indeed, in fact it was my own milk you just enjoyed.” Sweet smiled, as she booped the filly’s nose and continued patting her back.

“Beh!” Rainbow stuck her tongue out, blushing. “W-what bu-but you're not even pregnant! You have to take pills to do that otherwise and why would you do that?!” She shivered at the thought, considering that meant Sweet had planned this along with this big nursery. The amount of effort that had gone into it was impressing even Rainbowherself. “She must have really wanted to help me relax.” She thought, looking back at Sweet just as she burped.

“Smart little cookie aren’t you, yes you are!” Sweet cheered, praising Rainbow and giving the padding a soft pat, making it russle once again. “Tell me, Rainbow Dumpling, do you have any plans for today? Nanny wants to be sure she’s not keeping you from your friends.”

“I-I was planning to go over to hang with PInkie Pie later today. I really can’t stay long.” Rainbow replied, she didn’t even consider why she wasn't just insisting on leaving right now! To rip the padding off and just go! Such a thought was muddied a bit when Sweet set the pacifier back in her mouth.

“Oh can’t you stay at least til three, my little foal?” Sweet asked her filly.

Rainbow looked up at the clock, she saw that she had at least five hours, “W-well I guess I can stay until then. B-but I’m not a foal!” She protested.

“Hehe, just like a little filly to act all grown up when she doesn't have to be.” Sweet teased. She pinched Rainbow’s cheek, watchomg the foal hug her plushie closer while suckling on the pacifer

Another yawn escaped Rainbow’s mouth, cauisng her to nearly drop her binky.

“Aw, I think you need to take a nap first.” Sweet instructed, as she laid Rainbow back fully on the pillow, pulling the pink blanket over her.

The pegasus snuggled into the sheets closing her eyes. “Y-yeah that sound nice.” Rainbow yawned again, suckling slow but steady on the pacifier, as her eyes began to close.

Rainbow walked into the castle, smiling at everything seeming so bright. “Hey girls I’m here!” She called out, soon seeing her friends come out into the open.

PInkie giggled, pointing at Rainbow. “Aww, isn’t that cute?”

Rainbow was confused when Rarity nodded “Oh indeed, such a cute filly really should have something to match that thing.”

“What are you-” Rainbow began, but was cut off as something rubbery was inserted into her mouth, she realized it was a pacifier! “Mmmp!” She muffled in fright staring back at the fluffy padding on her rear with her mark on it. “NO!” Her friends laugh at her, as she tugged on the tabs to try and remove the diaper. But it was no good, the diaper wouldn’t budge!

Twilight came over, slapping Rainbow’s hoof! “No, bad filly!” A quick glow of her horn later and Rainbow yelped, her ear held in her friend’s magic, as was she dragged to the timeout corner.

“Oh no no no! Let go! Stop it!’ She whined. “Not a foal!” She protested, as she sat in the stool.

“I thought she’d be way cooler than this. I guess I was wrong, she ain’t nothin’ more than a little foal.” Applejack said in a teasing tone.

Rainbow squirmed, trying to turn around, and panicking even more! The world around her spun as her friends laughter filled her ears! “No! Stop it, stop it!” She thrashed about in protest. “STOP!”

Rainbow bolted up from the crib! Her blanket knocked off as she panted, while shaking a bit! It didn’t take long for Sweet to come hurrying in. “Rainbow, what’s wrong?!” She asked.

When Sweet came up and set the bars down, Rainbow latched onto her, shivering. She usually never let a bad dream get to her, but this was different. “N-nightmare.” She whimpered, picking up her pacifier and setting it back in for more comfort.

Sweet pulled the filly close resting Rainbow’s head on her shoulder. Her hoof once more gently patted up and down along her back. “Shhh, it’s just a bad dream, it can’t hurt you.”

Rainbow’s body still shivered and she buried her head into the caretaker’s fur. “My friends can’t find out about this! They’d think I was weird.”

“Your friends aren’t here to see you, Rainbow, please calm down.” Sweet replied, sounding more concerned than usual. Something was up, but Rainbow never said anything. The caretaker and filly cuddled together for a few minutes until the filly had calmed herself enough, steadly sucking the pacifer.

“Play with me, Sweet?” Rainbow asked cutely, snuggling the Daring Do plushie once more.

“Sure thing little Rainbow, just let go and be happy,” Sweet obliged, as she got out a stuffed teddy bear from the toy chest and moved it toward the Daring Do plushie. “Grr, you look tasty!”

The filly squeaked and giggled, running away with the plushie! “Eep, no she not!”

The two ppnies played a game of tag, while having an adventure around the nursery. The foal had a adorable waddle every time she moved and was tripped by Sweet some time later. Driving like a snake with fangs, the caretaker sank her lips into Rainbow exposed belly button and blew a raspberry, getting a much rewarding squeal out of the diapered mare.

Rainbow kept kicking about as she was very ticklish, almost as much as on her hooves (which is why she seldom liked ponies touching them). “Haha, no, stop!” She squeaked again and howled, as another long raspberry was blown on her tummy. Luckily, she didn’t wet herself this time as she gasped for breath when Sweet stopped.

The caretaker mare beamed happily. “Good filly, I’m having fun too.” She massaged Rainbow’s tummy, watching the filly lean her head back and suckle on the pacifier.

Rainbow had to admit, despite the diaper she was rather soothed by such attention. Then She looked up again. “Sweet, why am I acting like a foal?” The filly lisped while letting the mare massage her tummy.

“Cause it’s the treatment, dear,” Sweet explained, as she mumbled something under her breath, then spoke again. “Don't worry, my filly, you can always come over anytime. I’ll always be ready to help you unwind.”

“B-but-” Rainbow protested. She stopped mid thought, unsure how to respond, until something suddenly came to her. “T-this isn’t right, Sweet-” She groaned.

“-Rainbow Dumpling, just relax and call me nanny til you leave.” Sweet interrupted as she patted the diaper.

“Okay nanny.” Rainbow obeyed, as got up and hugged Sweet while sighing.

Through some miracle, Rainbow managed to stay completely dry for the next two hours.

Sweet was impressed. “Aww, my filly’s still dry. Let us try using the potty, shall we?” She mothered, leading the foal by the hoof once more to the bathroom.

Rainbow blushed but obeyed, even though she knew where the bathroom was and how to use the toilet. For some reason, being escorted along by Sweet Song brought back memories of when her parents or her foalsitter would do the same for her as a young filly.

Once in the bathroom, Sweet slid the padding off of Rainbow’s rump and sat her filly on the toilet like she was a potty training toddler. Rainbow expected to find this embarassing, and a part of her did. But she failed to take any action to stop the treatment.

“Go potty, Dumpling.” Sweet cooed, while watching closely. It took a solid minute for Rainbow to start peeing into the toilet, but once she did she felt incredibly relieved, especially when she ended up pooping as well.

Once Rainbow was done, Sweet clapped her hooves. “Such a good little foal for using the potty. Now, let Nanny Sweet clean you up, Rainbow Dumpling.”

Rainbow obliged as Sweet wiped her rump clean with toilet paper and flushed the toilet (which Rainbow found oddly fascinating for some reason). Then, after washing her hooves in the bathroom sink, Sweet helped Rainbow do the same.

After the “potty break” Sweet held her filly’s hoof while heading for the front door. “I hope you had fun today, Rainbow. My little filly is so full of energy.” She cooed, as pinched the mare’s cheek.

Rainbow eeped and pulled back. “H-hey stop it!” She protested, not realizing she sounded like an embarrassed filly whining at her mother. She took a quick breath, smiling back at Sweet before zooming off into the sky.

Rainbow did a few flips and random tricks to keep herself focused before moving towards Twilight’s castle. “I really need to talk to Twilight,” She thought to herself. Despite her embarrassment over the situation, things were clearly getting out of hoof and Rainbow was determined to stop them before they got any worse. “This stops now!

Rainbow's Foalish Behavior

View Online

While Rainbow had been playing foal at Sweet Song’s house, all of her friends had decided to hang out at the castle that very afternoon. Various snacks had been set upon the map table, and Spike was currently handing out cups of fruit punch. The get together however had turned to concerning matters when the girls started talking about Rainbow Dash and what Applejack had witnessed earlier that morning.

“Sucking her hoof?” Twilight asked, as Applejack finished telling her story.

Applejack nodded while biting into a granny smith apple. “Yeah. I spoke to Rainbow about it, but she darted away faster than a worm inside an apple on the first day of cider season. It’s like she was afraid of anypony findin’ out.”

“Oh my,” Fluttershy commented, putting her hooves up to her mouth. That’s odd, but then Dashie was acting odd when she came to visit me,” Fluttershy then gasped! “I mean I uh…” She rubbed her neck, as the others looked at her with suspicion and concern.

“What is it, darling?” Rarity inquired, taking a cup from Spike’s tray. “Do you know something about Rainbow too?”

“Sort of. B-but it would be rude to talk about it,wouldn't it?” Fluttershy asked. “I mean, I don’t think it’s related to what Applejack saw. Rainbow Dash wasn’t sucking her hoof or anything like that.”

“If something’s wrong with our friend, we need to know,” Twilight replied. “At times she’s been acting off ever since Trixie’s show, but she won’t tell us what it is and we’ve only got speculation to go on.”

Fluttershy blushed and took her seat as her friends give her their full attention. “Well, it was the just the other day.” And as she spoke, she began to recall where she’d been and what she’d been doing when she’d noticed the odd behavior from her friend.

Rainbow was enjoying a nice afternoon at Fluttershy’s cottage. The Cutie Mark Crusaders had tagged along as well, and the energetic trio were currently playing tag, while Rainbow lounged on a chair near by. She let out a sigh, adjusting her dark sunglasses. “Ah, took us forever to get those clouds from the Everfree to behave. I swear Discord himself would be impressed by those things.” She commented, looking at Fluttershy as she came out with a pitcher of freshly squeezed lemonade and a few drinking glasses.

“Well I’m glad you could come over. You deserve a break after working so hard all the time. Sweet mentioned you’ve been stressed a lot lately.” Fluttershy replied, as she set of one the drinking glasses in Rainbow’s hoof.

Rainbow sipped the lemonade, watching the three fillies play as they ran past her. Them seemed to enjoying themselves as if they didn’t have a care in the world.

“Maybe I can play too,” Rainbow mumbled before shaking her head. “Ah, Scootaloo might not mind it, but Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle wouldn’t find it any fun to play against a grownup like me.” She smiled, as she watched Tank sunbath himself on a large rock. Then she he turned her attention to a few butterflies that were fluttering about. Their various colours were like a moving rainbow, and Rainbow’s eyes kept tracking them, entranced by the simplicity of it all. Suddenly, one of the red and orange colored butterflies fluttered over, landing squarely on Rainbow’s nose. The mare froze, holding still and going cross eyed as she looked at the creature. All her focus shrank to just that tiny being on her nose, as a goofy smile began to form on her face. The beautiful colors reflected off the fine wings as it perched on her snout. Her mouth hung partly open, as she watched it flap slowly.

Fluttershy watched the sight, while simultaneously keeping an eye on the crusaders. She observed her friend’s eyes tracking the tiny creature, soon seeing Rainbow sit up slowly as she watched the butterfly flutter away.

“Bye bye, butterfly. Butterfly fly away.” Rainbow babbled in a foalish, moments before shaking her head and blushing. Fluttershy meeped and turned, watching her friend hurry over to join in the game of tag with Scootaloo and her fellow crusaders.

“And when I tried to ask for details, Dashie just denied it and claimed I was seeing things. But I know I saw that butterfly attract her even though it wasn’t doing anything,” Fluttershy concluded, as she finished telling her story. She watched as Twilight wrote the facts down onto the paper before her. “I mean it was rather nice of her to play with the CMC. Maybe I’m just overthinking things.”

“Well, your butterflies are pretty,” Pinkie commented, taking a cookie from the tray nearby. “Oh, if we’re going to mention odd occurrences with Rainbow Dash, I have one to tell.”

“Really?” Twilight asked, looking at her party planning friend.

Pinkie swallowed her snack and cleared her throat. “Well, Rainbow came over to help foalsit the twins again a few days ago.” Like with Flutttershy, Pinkie started to recall where she’d been and what she’d been doing when she’d noticed the odd behavior from her rainbow coated friend.

Pinkie closed up the cake box, hoofing it over to a brown coated earth pony stallion with a smile. The stallion’s purple eyes meeting Pinkie’s blue ones, the party pony memorized the cream colored mane and tail styled straight, and his cutie mark depicting a cream pie. “Come again soon.” She chimed, taking the bits and putting them in the register.

Just as the stallion left, Rainbow trotted in, humming a tune to herself. “Hey Rainbow, nice job with the clouds. That smiley face was silly.” Pinkie commented. She didn’t notice Rainbow blush for a moment, as she turned her attention to the foal monitor, waiting for the twins to wake up.

“Hey Pinkie,” Rainbow greeted, not acknowledging what had happened with the clouds earlier. “Got the rest of the day free so I thought I’d come and bake something I guess. Been ages since we did that together.”

“Oh I’d love to, but I’m keeping an eye on the twins for the Cakes while they are doing some catering gig,” Pinkie explained with a slight hint of unhappiness, as she snatched a taffy out of a bag and quickly ate it up. “I love them to pieces, but when it’s just me and them things always get out of control.”

“I could help with that, again. Those two are pretty energetic.” Rainbow offered, her smile grew, just as the sound of babbling and shifting was heard over the monitor.

“Well look at that, they just woke up it seems. I’m definitely going to need your help.” Pinkie replied, as she led her friend up the nursery. The nasty odor of a dirty diaper was there to greet them when the nursery door was opened.

While Pinkie waved her hoof at the repulsive smell, Rainbow, for some reason, blushed. “Phew! What’s Mrs. Cake been feeding them?” She joked, while watching Pinkie pick Pound out of the crib and inspect his diaper. A quick check confirmed he was the source of the stench.

“I got this, Dashie. You just keep an eye on Pumpkin really quick.” Pinkie instructed, as she set the colt on the changing table and prepared to perform a diaper change.

Rainbow moved over to the crib smiling at the filly. “Hey there, Pumpkin,” She cooed, sticking her tongue out and shaking her head. The resulting tongue wobble made Pumpkin giggle and clap, before she grabbed Rainbow’s snout with her hooves. Rainbow beamed, feeling joyful, even as Pumpkin did what most foals do to feel things. “Aww, you got my nose.” She giggled, making more silly faces that caused more laughter.

The little distraction was all Pinkie needed to change Pound and set him down. She then came over to Rainbow. “Wow, you’re a natural,” She commented, as she picked up Pumpkin watching Rainbow boop her hoof on the mobile, making it spin. Pinkie found it odd that, for some reason, her friend appeared really interested in it as it spun once more. “Uh, Rainbow?” She asked, as nudged her friend’s shoulder.

Rainbow jumped back, turning around! “Huh, what?!” She exclaimed, as she shook her head in confusion.

Pinkie seemed to briefly tilt her head before she responded with. “Nothing, just keep an eye on Pound for me. Pumpkin’s a little wet.” She instructed, taking the little filly to the changing table.

Rainbow leaned down to Pound, seeing his smiling face as his tiny wings flapped about. “Aww, I bet you’ll be a great flyer, just like me,” She nuzzled Pound and tickled him a bit. Pound squeaked and tried to crawl away, only for Rainbow follow him. “Grr, can’t escape me!” She taunted, playfully corralling the foal into the playpen. The colors of the foal toys in it distracted Rainbow for a second, causing her to trip over a rattle that had been left lying on the ground, and plant her face into the ground. Fortunately, she wasn’t hurt.

Pound giggled at Rainbow’s stumble as the cyan coated pegasus mare got up, her hoof knocking against the rattle again. “Hehe, um oops,” She meeped as she slowly left Pound to play by himself in the playpen. “Focus Rainbow, d-don’t even look at them.” She thought, seeing Pinkie tilt her head as she set Pumpkin into the playpen as well.

“Hehe, they sure are fun aren’t they?” Pinkie asked, as she made silly faces at the twins and shook a bunny about which rattled inside.

“Y-yeah,” Rainbow replied, as she bit her lip. For a moment her eyes looked at the foal toys again. “I’m just…. going to go use the washroom!” She declared, and before Pinkie could say a word, Rainbow zipped out of the room.

Pinkie, suspecting nothing, just giggled and kept shaking the rattle for the twins, watching them clap and coo. It filled her with joy to see the twins happy, moments like these more than made up for the times when they could be a hoofful. “Hehe, just wait til you’re old enough for potty training. I can tell you guys are going to give your parents and I quite the experience.” She cooed, as set the rattle down and passed a bouncy red ball to them.

. About five minutes later, Pinkie’s ears picked up the sound of flushing, then flushing again, and again. The realization came to Pinkie pretty quickly, as she simply blushed, while the twins seemed to be confused. “Oh wow, I thought Rainbow eats better then that. Pound, Pumpkin, you two stay here really quick. Auntie Dashie needs some help in the bathroom.” After making sure the foals would stay put, Pinkie trotted toward the bathroom to help Rainbow unclog the toilet. Another flush could be heard as she approached the door. “Uh, Rainbow Dash? Do you need any help? If you’ve clogged the toilet, it’s okay, I brought the plunger.” She called, as she knocked on the door again. There was no response, only another flush sound, this time accompanied by a childish giggle.

Pinkie tried the doorknob, finding it unlocked, and pushed the door open. What she saw nearly made her eyes pop out!

Rainbow pulled the toilet lever again, watching the water swirl down the drain. “Hehe, water go down the hole!” She giggled, as the water returned. She only snapped out of the trance when PInkie nudged her side. Startled, the big foal jumped up in surprise! “Gah, PInkie! W-what are you doing in here?” She asked, as her muzzle immediately radiated with a fierce blush.

Pinkie tossed the plunger aside. “I uh, thought you must’ve clogged the toilet after hearing you flush so much,” She explained, as rubbed her neck. “Were you giggling at...draining water? That’s something I’d expect from the twins.”

“W-what?! No! I mean…. uh,” Rainbow stuttered in embarrassment. “Laters!” She called, bolting away before Pinkie could say anything else.

“Dashie, wait, you left the toilet seat up!!” Pinkie called, but it was too late, Rainbow Dash had already left. Pinkie just sighed. “I’d better put the lid down before somepony falls in.”

But before Pinkie could do so, she heard the toilet flush again and this time she felt her tail being pulled by a powerful suction. “Pinkie go down the hole!” The twins giggled, not realizing Pinkie was too big to fit down the drain.

“And then Dashie just ran away before I could ask. What’s even worse is that she got the twins excited about playing with the toilet and I couldn’t get them to settle down for another nap.” PInkie groaned slightly, as she finished telling her part of the story.

Twilight’s quill wrote upon the scroll with quite the flurrying pace. At last she put her quill down, rubbing her chin. “All these odd occurrences are so close together that they can’t be coincidence.” She concluded, double checking her notes one last time.

“Don’t forget how messy she was eating at our picnic last week,” Rarity commented. “Even Rainbow Dash never eats that sloppy.”

“How is that connected though?” Applejack asked, as she raised an eyebrow.

“Well I’ve only seen Pound and Pumpkin Cake eat that messily. Oh and don’t forget she asked about mind control.” Pinkie blurted out.

“That’s right, she did. And I told her hypnosis and mind control aren’t the same thing, unless you’re subverting someone’s free will.” Twilight replied, recalling the conversation from that picnic that had previously seemed so unimportant.

Rarity put her hooves to her mouth and gasped. “You don’t think somepony messed with Rainbow Dash’s head, do you?”

The group all look towards Twilight, she opened her mouth and prepared to speak, but then she suddenly paused for a moment. “Well, Trixie was looking up books on the mind and spell casting. I didn’t think anything of it before though, but it could be related.” She finally told the others. Then, before anyone could respond, a loud shriek was heard emanating from down the hall.

“Don’t hurt Trixie!” Trixie’s voice rang out in a pleading tone.

Spike and the girls got up in a hurry, galloping (or in Spike’s case just plain running) along until they entered the library. They gasped upon seeing the sight of Trixie covering her face, while pinned under Rainbow’s hooves. Rainbow looked quite furious, and if her slanted brows and narrowed eyes were any indication, something had really set her off!

“What’s going on here!?” Twilight demanded, hurrying over to Rainbow who turned to look at Twilight and the others. Reacting quickly, Twilight pulled Rainbow away, making sure she was at a far enough range to prevent hoof contact.

“Trixie’s got answers and I’m going to get to the bottom of this,” Rainbow replied, as glared at Trixie. “Now, tell me why I’m acting like a foal! I know you’re involved in this, somehow!”

“Please, Trixie can explain everything, if you promise not to hurt her!” Trixie pleaded in desperation. “Trixie meant no harm!”

“I’ll be the judge of that!” Twilight declared, casting a suspicious glance at Trixie. “Why have you been looking up information about the mind?!”

Trixie looked all around, and saw nothing but stern glares or glances that indicated everyone in the castle library wanted answers. With a reluctant sigh she told them all. “It was just supposed to be a harmless little prank, but somehow it got out of hoof.”

The Truth Comes Out

Trixie stared at each of the mares as they glared at her, some more than others. She gulped knowing each word would be judged harshly and frankly only a bit impartially given her past. At the same time, however, the magician also knew that silence would most certainly throw more suspicion on her, so she had to say something. “Trixie just thought it would be funny to see Rainbow acting more like a foal when Sweet took care of her.” She finally confessed.

Twilight blinked, her wings folding back against her side. “‘Take care of her?’ What’s that supposed to mean?”

Before Rainbow could answer for herself, Trixie spoke lowering her hat. “Well since the cat is out of the bag, you should know that Sweet Song has been babying Rainbow as a sort of activity to release her stress. She calls it foal treatment.” Trixie explained, despite an audible groan from the embarrassed pegasus.

“W-wait foal treatment? You mean Rainbow dressed up just like a foal?” Rarity asked looking at Rainbow with a curious look. “Not that you wouldn’t look adorable in a foal dress with just the right amount of transparent fabric, but you don’t exactly strike me as the kind to dress up in anything, let alone foalish clothes. Or, am I mistaken somehow?”

Needless to say, Rainbow was embarrassed beyond belief, and the thought of foal clothes was not helping matters. “No...I mean maybe, I don’t know. We’re getting off topic here!” She complained, jutting her hoof at Trixie once again, hoping to not have to talk about the whole huge nursery thing just yet..“Well. you got your laugh, now fix whatever you broke inside my head! And do now it!”

Trixie held her pose of innocence, refusing to be labeled as evil. “The spell was never meant to make you act out in public, Trixie was researching to try and make a counterspell. Trixie had not malcontent honest,” She insisted, as she paused for a moment while tapping her chin. “Although I never thought Sweet would go as far as spanking you for being having a tantrum.”

Twilight didn’t notice her athletic friend rub her flank for a second, or if she did she didn’t take notice. “Casting mind spells on ponies is never good Trixie, ever!” Twilight scolded, worrying flashbacks of her Want-It-Need-It Spell fiasco playing in her mind as she spoke. “And that still doesn’t explain why Rainbow had some sort of adverse reaction to said spell,” She blinked, glancing at Rainbow briefly the words of what Trixie said now registering. “Wait, did you say spanked?” She asked, to which Trixie nodded. The princess sighed addressing Rainbow once again. “I believe we’ll need to get Sweet Song over here to explain herself. Somehow, it would seem she got involved in all of this.”

“Yeah, no one messes with our friend!” Pinkie blurted having moved across the room in a blur.

The rest of the gang headed back to the throne room to wait, while Twilight and Rainbow went to collect Sweet Song. The walk there was rather calming, despite the princess’ serious face.

Truth be told Rainbow didn’t really feel like punishing Sweet for this whole thing, after all, it had been for her, despite how creepy it was that Sweet Song had set up a big nursery just for her. There had to be more to it than that, right? “Sweet wouldn’t make me act like a foal just for the sake of it, would she? She could’ve done so with the tapes alone.” She thought to herself.

After a short trot through town Twilight and Rainbow reached Sweet’s house . Twilight stood as commanding as she could manage and knocked softly.

It didn’t take long for the door to open and Sweet to step into view, wearing a simple necklace around her neck. The mare stared at the princess with a half worried, half reluctant expression. She didn’t even flinch as she took a breath. “Rainbow Dash, Princess Twilight, what brings you over?”

Rainbow put a hoof up to stop Twilight from speaking first. “Trixie cast some spell on me and she says you’re involved too. I need answers, especially in regards to what this has to do with the spell Trixie cast! So you’d better come back to Twilight’s castle and explain yourself, and be thankful I’m giving you the chance!”

Sweet Song sighed and reluctantly nodded, she didn’t dare try to defy the authority of a princess. “Very well, I guess I couldn't’ expect it to stay secret for long,” She reluctantly followed the two, albeit trailing behind.

Twilight observed Sweet as the trio trotted back through town. She noticed that Sweet’s gaze was all over the place, moving from in front Rainbow to behind her, then in any random direction. Twilight had a lot of questions she wanted to ask of Sweet, but the princess could sense Sweet needed time to think some things over. And plus, Twilight only really had the words of Trixie and Rainbow Dash to go on, both of whom could be prone to exaggeration sometimes. “Funny how Sweet never mentioned she had a sister until Trixie came back to town, and how Trixie only mentioned a sister briefly to me. Just how much did these two really know?” She thought to herself.

Once back at the castle, Twilight and Rainbow Dash brought Sweet Song to the throne room, and everypony took their seats (Trixie had to settle for Spike’s chair) except for Sweet, who had to stand. “Now hopefully we can all get this sorted out in a calm, organized manner,” Twilight spoke up and immediately turned to Sweet. “I just need to know what you’ve been doing to Rainbow to make her act in such a foalish way.”

“Whatever are you talking about? I haven’t noticed anything.” Sweet protested, unaware of what Rainbow had gotten into since the athletic pegasus’ last visit.

As if to prove Twilight’s point for Sweet, Pinkie went up to Rainbow and began making silly faces at her just like she would do with the Cake Twins. Despite Rainbow’s best efforts, the tomcolt speedster was giggling at them.

“Pinkie, stop that!” Twilight insisted.

Pinkie nodded as she beamed and went back to her seat. “Hehe, sorry Twilight, I couldn't help it. She acts just like Pound does.” She giggled.

Sweet Song tilted her head in confusion as if she’d never seen this sort of behavior before. Then she proceeded to glance at Trixie. She crossed her forehooves and with a scowl upon her muzzle she demanded. “What did you do, sister? I know you wanted to help me, but you never told me exactly what it is you did! Something in that spell of yours must be the trigger!”

Trixie huffed. “You said you wanted Trixie’s help, sister, so she thought it would be amusing at the time. Trixie knew Rainbow would be too shy to do things she feared would muddy her reputation, so I just told her to not worry about such things, that way she would unwind easier like you wanted. At least I didn’t implant a trigger word like you did. Had I known that was your plan, I would’ve said no, now you’ve gotten us both in trouble with Princess Twilight!”

Twilight eyes narrowed as the tension in the room increased quite a bit. “You mean a hypnotic trigger?! Like a ‘When I clap my hooves you will become a dog!’ kind of trigger?”

Sweet Song narrowly remained calm, convinced that she had nothing to hide and holding back would just get her into more trouble. “Yes, in a sense but it was all Rainbow own will. If she really didn't want to do something she would refuse altogether.” She insisted, hoping the explanation made sense.

Sweet’s comment caused Rainbow to step back and consider what she’d been told. On the one hoof, she hadn’t been forced to show up at Sweet’s place. Sure, it had been mentioned in that letter and it had asked nicely, so she had done so without hesitation. On the other hoof, though, it had seemed like at times Sweet had managed to override her subconscious desires and get Rainbow to do things she would’ve rather not wanted to do. And finding out she could be controlled by a phrase was just eerie. “What phrase exactly? I don’t recall you using one.” She asked a moment later.

Sweet once more sighed taking a breath. “Rainbow Dumpling, stand on the table,” She spoke softly, prompting to Rainbow climb up on the table map and stand there, blinking.

Rainbow blushed not realizing she had just done what she had been asked to do without a second thought. She climbed down quickly, only piecing things together after a moment of consideration. “W-what, you could just tell me to do something with just that?!” She exclaimed, furiously glaring at Sweet. “That is still mind control!”

“Well, if ya think messin’ with our friend and then comin’ out and confession is just goin’ to get you off scot free, then you got another thing comin’!” Applejack furiously blurted out! “It just ain’t right to go messin’ with somepony’s noggin’, no matter what.”

“Hey, hold up a second! She may have used some rather questionable tactics but I can’t deny the results were, fairly positive,” Rainbow protested. “I was getting a little stressed out and needed a way to unwind, not that I preferred the method used. Besides, it’s Trixie that caused the actual problem. She knew what Sweet was going to do, but she went along with it anyway and then hid the truth until she could undo it herself! If she’d never hypnotized me, Sweet would’ve never been able to control me!”

“Rainbow, I can’t even be sure if what you're saying right now is really your own feelings, or some confused jumble in your mind,” Twilight immediately responded. “Somepony could be making you say that. We need to reverse whatever’s been done to you first.”

“Yeah, I suppose you’re right. As long as that trance is stuck in there, there’s always a chance it could slip out like it did on occasion around you girls” Rainbow replied, blushing at the fact that her friends had seen her sucking her hoof and flushing the toilet over and over while giggling. Then she looked at Sweet Song. “It is reversible, right?! Whatever you put in my mind, you can remove, correct?!” She asked, soon seeing a nod. “Okay, good.” She said with a sigh.

Rarity spoke up next. “I suppose you aren’t really a bad pony, Sweet Song, just weird. Trixie says you set up a giant nursery just for Rainbow and used the trigger word to baby her. Even if your intentions were to get her relax, I don’t think it needed to escalate that far. Surely just using the tapes and maybe an occasional diaper would’ve produced the same effect, no?”

Sweet’s ears dropped as Pinkie gasped! “A giant nursery, as in big enough to fit a fully grown pony?! How would you even go about doing that?! I mean building a big nursery just for Rainbow does sound cooky, but then I’ve done way weirder things. Like making a bathtub full of eggnog. Don’t ask.”

“The important thing is that we can reverse it and clear Rainbow’s head of outside influences,” Twilight concluded, clearly gazing at Trixie and Sweet in turn.

There was a brief moment of silence before Sweet spoke. “In my defense, the treatment never got in the way of Rainbow’s other activities, or her work. I don’t see why this has to be such a big deal, I can undo the trance and as long as we keep this to ourselves nopony else has to know what happened.”

“But you were willingly messing around with somepony’s head without their consent!” Twilight scolded eyes narrowed. “It was bad enough when Trixie tried to pull something like that! What made you think you could get away with your sister could not?!” That statement got a prompt meep out of Trixie, she still didn’t like being reminded of the Alicorn Amulet incident.

“Um ,Twilight, I think you’re overreacting,” Fluttershy said softly, squeaking when Twilight gaze fell upon her. “I mean Sweet did say she was sorry.”

Now, in most cases, Twilight was more than willing to listen to Fluttershy’s input. But this was too much, she couldn’t just let Sweet Song go with a slap on the wrist. “Yes, I heard her, but that doesn’t change her or Trixie’s actions,” She said, taking another glance at the two perpetrators. “Now if you’ll excuse us, girls, we need to sort this out in the library.” Twilight for gestured Rainbow, Sweet Song, and Trixie to follow her,. They all obeyed and followed witout haste.

Once in the castle library, Twilight shut the door, remaining silent for a second. A drop of sweat ran down Trixie’s forehead as Twilight got out some paper. “Trixie, I need you to write down the spell you used. I need to make sure this counterspell works properly,” She explained, and watched as Trixie did as was instructed, writing down the sequence. Twilight took the page and glanced it over a few times. “Yes, that shouldn’t be too complicated to clear up.”

Sweet Song watched as Rainbow held still, and Twilight and Trixie’s horns began to glow and they aimed them at Rainbow’s head. Rainbow felt a rushing sensation similar to a freefall as the magic searched through her head, reversing the messaging left behind by the tapes and the spell. The process took about a minute, during which Rainbow appeared to go into a daze, seeing blurry images in her head fade away into nothing. Feeling light headed, Rainbow stumbled a bit, falling back on her flank as Twilight and Trixie finished their work.

Twilight wiped her brow then smiled. “So Rainbow Dash, how do you feel?” She asked, as she helped stabilize Rainbow, who was nearly falling over.

“Ugh, like I spent an hour in the the dizzitron,” Rainbow groaned, stumbling a little. “D-did it work?” As her head cleared, she looked at Sweet Song once more, unsure what to think. She felt both anger and annoyance for what Sweet had done to her, yet she also felt an odd pang of sympathy for some reason. Regardless Sweet and her sister had to face the music, no matter what.

Twilight let the two stew for a moment as she thought carefully about how to punish them. The punishment had to fit the crime, and it wasn't exactly worthy of jail time. “But what can I do to ensure they’re properly punished?” Twilight thought. “Intentional or not they still ended up using a form of mind control, and that is a serious offense.

The two sisters glanced at Twilight, tensions growing, as neither said a word. After a few ticks of the clock, Twilight spoke. “I’ve made my decision. Trixie, you will assist Sweet in foal sitting with Pinkie and some volunteer work at the local daycare as well. That seems fitting enough for the both of you considering what you put Rainbow through.”

Trixie was relieved to avoid jail, but that didn’t she was thrilled with her punishment. “What but-” She began, but was cut off as Sweet stopped her sister’s protests.

“It could be worse, Trixie, the princess could have us both thrown in the dungeon. Besides, I think it works for me at least,” Sweet spoke up, a small smile came across her face before she bowed to Twilight. She soon rose to her hooves, glancing once again at Rainbow Dash. “No hard feelings, I hope.” She offered.

“Well, give me time to think about it. Still would love some of the unaltered white noise tapes, though, can’t deny they worked like a charm,” Rainbow commented while sitting down on one of the soft cushions. “Ugh, I need to lay down.” She groaned and gave one last look at Sweet Song before trotting down the hall to one of the many guest rooms in the castle.

The day went pretty well for Rainbow after being cured. Pinkie, as usual, had started a small party which had been a blast as usual. Pinkie even managed to get Trixie to play some pin the tail on the pony for a bit. Besides, Rainbow did enjoy those occasional small moments of fun and chilling out. A soft orange glow covered everything below her as she made her way home with a smile on her face. The long day of drills for all reserve members that awaited her tomorrow, wasn’t even at the forefront of her mind right now as she landed. Upon entering her home , Rainbow happily gave her pet tortoise a nuzzle upon seeing him. “Hey Tank, you miss me?” She asked, only getting a few slow blinks and a small smile. “Hehe, thought so.” She replied, and with that she let out a yawn, slowly fluttering upstairs to her bedroom.

There was only one thing left to debate about as she trotted towards her bed. That being, of course, the half used package of adult diapers that lay at the foot of her bed, and the white pacifier still on her bedside stand. The objects didn’t have the same pull as before, thank goodness for that. But, at the same time, Rainbow found that she did somewhat miss them. The momentary thought got a blush out of her as she lightly nudged the bag of diapers. “Should I? It’s not like I need to wear one,” She thought. While it had been the trigger and command telling her to put it on before, the same reaction was more or less genuine. “They are kind of soft,” She thought, as she nudged the pack again while staring at the pacifier. Her face sank into her mattress as she sat there. “Ugh, why can’t I get this out of my head?! I’m not a foal and I grew up just fine!” Sadly, talking to herself would provide no real answers for Rainbow, her discussion was now completely her own without any assistance in the matter. At some point in her internal debate, the pacifier had been set into her mouth, sitting there for a few moments as Rainbow thought it over. There were a few slow suckles, then a few more, and soon it was a steady rhythm, like a heartbeat. The pegasus kept going despite her blush willingly sucking the soother. Her face scrunched up as she gave in. “Mmm, fine. I’ll wear it, but not every night.” She told herself as she unfolded a diaper and laid down, sliding it on. The memory of how to put them on still remained as she soon had it snug against her rear. The confusion only continued as she sat there for a few moments, shifting side to side. No matter how she turned it about in her mind, she just couldn’t pin down the ‘why’ of this whole liking it ordeal. Deciding to sleep on it, the cyan coated speedster crawled underneath her bed sheets, getting snuggly wrapped up in the cocoon of warmth and the padding letting out soft crinkles at each move she made.

Rainbow had to admit, the treatment did have its results, although which were true or manufactured remained a puzzle. But she couldn't deny it was nice to be pampered. Those sweet feeling of tummy rubs or even that warm milk had been quite an experience. The tired mare soon concluded that the debate about whether or not to continue the treatment could wait a few days, just long enough for her to figure out what to say or do about it, or perhaps, find another way to relax. And despite all her thoughts, she slowly dozed off, dreaming happily into the night.

Rainbow Dash lay upon one of the many fluffy clouds filling the partly cloudy day. The sun was shining and a light breeze blew through the town. It was just one of those at peace days where the world just hung in a limbo, all still and quiet. The tomboyish pegasus spread out on her resting spot, letting out a sigh. “Ah, this is more like it.” After a day of helping set up for yet another festival, it was nice to be able to relax. (There sure were a lot of festivals around Ponyville, that was for sure.)

Rainbow rolled over, staring down at the school yard below. From her perch she could see a few of the pegasi practicing their flying and Scootaloo doing a few spin tricks with her scooter. The sight of the filly that never gave up worked a smile upon the athlete's muzzle.

As she watched, her thoughts drifted, soon settling on the thought of Sweet Song. Nearly a week or so had passed, allowing her to come to an understanding of herself. It wasn’t something she really wanted to admit to anyone really, but she did enjoy the slight comfort that came with such gentle care. The two perpetrators were still doing their service of course, they still had at least a month to go. But that didn’t mean Rainbow couldn't stop by Sweet’s house to at least talk to her about it, right? Her hoof moved the cloud around a bit as she thought about it some more. The pacifier was rather nice at night in its own odd way.

With her choice made, Rainbow took to the air and began to fly towards Sweet Song’s home. She made sure whatever she chose would be on her terms instead of that mare’s prior ones. Any kind of anger or annoyance had boiled away in the past few days, leaving her with a more or less level head for this task. Even so, her cheeks flushed a tad as she descended. “Can’t believe I’m doing this.” She muttered to herself, as she landed with one last flap of her wings and approached the door. Some tiny part of her wished Sweet wouldn't be home as she knocked softly. Moment later the familiar pegasus opened the door

They both stared at each other for a moment until Sweet coughed. “Oh, hello Rainbow, didn’t expect to see you here so soon. What brings you over? I found some forest sounds for white noise tapes if you want them.”

Rainbow rubbed her neck. ‘S-sure, but can we talk?” She shifted her hooves as if fighting her flight response.

“Sure, come in and sit down. Do you want tea or coffee?” Sweet asked, moving to the kitchen.

The house smelled of fresh flower and cleaning products as Rainbow went to the living room and sat down on the green sofa. “I could try some tea, I already had my coffee for today. Twilight gets some good stuff from Zecora.” Rainbow replied.

Sweet smiled as she turned on the tea pot. “Oh, the zebra enchantress? Yes, I’ve met her. What a wonderful mare she is. I don’t have anything that fancy, but I do have some crystal berry brew.”

Rainbow just shrugged. “Eh sure, that works I guess.” She slumped back into the sofa thinking over what to say, while watching Sweet pour the powder into the pot as it boiled.

The two stayed silent for a brief moment, before Sweet spoke up while watching over the pot. “So how’s the week been?” She couldn’t help but wonder why Rainbow was over so soon. The pegasus mare seemed rather calm, if a bit embarrassed.

“Oh, just fine,” Rainbow shrugged and rubbed her neck. “I just wanted to talk about...um…” She hesitated, still feeling embarrassed to even mention it, especially to the pony who had started this whole mess. “T-the treatment.”

Sweet Song’s eyebrow raised ever so slightly. “What about it Rainbow? I thought you never wanted to even think about what happened. I did go a bit over the top, and frankly I don’t blame you for avoiding me afterwards..”

“Nah, we’re cool. I just well...ugh don’t make me say it!” Rainbow groaned, as she planted her face into her hooves, while her cheeks flared.

“You liked the treatment? Like honestly liked it?” Sweet answered after a moment. She turned her head as the whistle went off, and headed to the teapot, pouring the brew into cups for them.

“Well, some of it. I don’t know why ,but it worked I even use the pacifier from time to time,” Rainbow confessed. Once the cups were set down, Rainbow took hers, and carefully sipped it, smiling at the berry taste. “I was thinking maybe we could work something out. On my terms of course, there's no way I’m going to go to the bathroom in diapers again. Way too nasty!”

“What are you talking about, you only wet yourself once or twice.” Sweet replied.

“N-no,” Rainbow blushed. “I did do… the other thing… once. It was icky. I was actually kind of surprised you never found out. But you know, some of the other stuff wasn’t so bad.”

Sweet felt surprised that Rainbow was even mentioning this to her, but at the same time she felt happy that the element of loyalty still felt some trust towards her. “That’s understandable, are you saying you;d like to be a foal sometimes?” Her smile grew as Rainbow rubbed her neck.

Rainbow glanced closer at Sweet. “Y-yeah but on my terms, if I say I don’t want to do something I won’t do it. And it’s mostly for when I get stressed out and need a way to relax.” She crossed her hooves while narrowing her eyes.

“I understand,” Sweet nodded. “I’m still sorry I took it so far. I suppose my desires overrode my intentions,” Sweet sipped her tea, while her ears fell flat against her head. “So, what exactly would you like to do?” She asked Rainbow, as they finished their cups and moved along the hall to the nursery.

“Well, wearing the diapers isn't bad,” Rainbow blushed, and moved over to the toy chest, picking out the Daring Do plush and hugging it. “Hehe, I sort of missed this one.” She confessed, as she gave it a small snuggle.

“You can keep her if you want, she was a gift to me from my parents, but I haven’t really slept with her since I grew up.” Sweet smiled, unsure as to whether she should hug the filly or not.

“Thanks,” Rainbow replied, as stared around the nursery once more. “But why do all this anyway. The whole foal thing seems really out of nowhere.”

Sweet smiled with a light blush. “Well, I’ve always kind of wanted to be a mother. But I could never could quite get into a relationship,” She rubbed her neck. “I think it really hit me once Mrs. Cake had her foals. It seemed like everypony I knew was settling down and having a family, except me. But I just couldn’t find the right stallion. Working at a daycare center in the next town over kind of helped for awhile, that’s where I got some of the supplies and toys. The rest I got from shopping around here in Ponyville.”

“That kind of makes sense, but you never did tell me why you chose me to be a big foal, or why you pue me through that kind of treatment to begin with,” Rainbow commented. “It’s not like I go around telling ponies about things like that. Heck, I had no idea I even had a interest in being treated like a foal, before now anyway.”

“To be honest, I took a shot in the dark,” Sweet confessed. “After observing you for a bit, I noticed small behaviour traits that you didn’t seem to be aware of. So when I saw the tapes were having an effect, I felt like I could step it up a bit. And that’s where Trixie came in, I knew you wouldn’t intentionally act like a foal, and if I suggested it you you’d want nothing to do with me. But I never anticipated the tapes and the spell would create that chain reaction.”

Rainbow shivered, even though she had no recollection of the foalish things she had done her friends had informed in no uncertain terms. And while the worst they’d seen her do was eat sloppily or suck on her hoof, she shuddered to think what they could’ve seen had they not taken action. “That’s still kind of creepy, yet also kind of sweet...no pun intended.”

Sweet couldn’t help but chuckle. “Okay, maybe I went overboard, but you do make a sweet silly filly!” She cooed, as she reached out and pinched Rainbow’s cheek getting a squeak out of the pegasus. She let Rainbow take her seat on floor waiting for her answer.

Rainbow bit her lip still feeling embarrassed to admit she wanted to do this. “Uh, okay I have some time right now. Can we start with a diaper?”

“Sure we can Dashie. Can I call you that?” Sweet asked set a diaper upon the changing table (even though most were still at Rainbow’s house at the moment, Sweet had managed to hang onto a few).

“Sure, whatever. I mean, as long as that’s not a secret trigger word or something.” Rainbow replied as she laid down on the changing table again.

“Of course not, I’m not about to get into trouble with the princess again,” Sweet reassured Rainbow, patting her on the head. “Now, raise your rear for me, please.”

Rainbow agreed, only hesitating for a moment as she raised her rear up. She took a breath as the diaper was slid under her and the powder was put on her bottom. The filly still couldn't quite piece together why it was soothing. Maybe it was the fine care and gentle touch. Or perhaps, just something inside her liking the idea of just giving up responsibility for a time. She definitely couldn’t argue with the results of the other times, no matter how much brainwashing had been involved. They had left her feeling more relaxed, though some of the other effects she could very well have done without.

Rainbow hugged her plushie, letting the caretaker do her thing. Once all snug, she shifted, blushing harder than ever before as she got up.

Sweet smiled giving Rainbow the needed space to think. “Something wrong, Dashie? It’s okay to like it.”

Rainbow rolled her eyes, while nudging Sweet. “Of course you would say that, you got me into this,” After a short laugh from Sweet, Rainbow wiggled her padding some more. “Mmm, got another pacifier? I was planning to take a nap.”

Sweet Song was more then happy to oblige, as she pull out the spare pink pacifier. She didn’t wait for Rainbow to take it and just popped it into the filly’s mouth for her. “Hehe, of course you can have your binky.” She babied, still seeing the blush on the cheeks. But at least Rainbow willing to do it this time. Which, in a way, made her feel better.

The filly chuckled, nudging the mare again. “Don’t get creepy on me, okay,” She lisped looking innocent as usual. Rainbow didn’t suckle on the pacifier quite yet, but it did feel nice. Her hoof felt the padding, and she let out a yawn. “This is nice.” She moved over to the crib, and with a cute waddle, she fluttered into the crib, sinking into the mattress.

Sweet moved over, pulling the blanket over the sleepy filly. ‘I’m just glad you’re not still mad at me.” She replied, as she got the sheet all nice and snug around Rainbow, hearing crinkles as the mare shifted.

“Mmm, I guess if doing this makes you happy to then it’s all good. Just don’t even mention this, ever!” Rainbow blushed again, giving her pacifier a few suckles. She watched Sweet raise the gate on the crib before moving for the door. “ Wait, um Sweet Song?”

“Yes Rainbow?” Sweet asked, as her hoof turned the lights out while waiting for Rainbow to respond.

“C-can we make cookies later?” The filly lisped followed by the sounds of soft suckling at the pacifier bobbed.

“Of course, Dashie, whatever makes you happy,” Sweet’s smile grew wide as she shut the door, heading to the kitchen to prepare.

Rainbow yawned staring up the mobile as she closed her eyes. This kind of relaxation was still confusing, but in a nice way. As the ticks of the clock soothed her to sleep, the pegasus just knew that deep down this was surprisingly well worth the discovery. Her hooves grasped onto the Daring Do plush tighter and within a few moments, the padded mare fell asleep. At peace with the thought that someone was always there to watch over her.
