A Betrayed Dazzling Rises

~One Thousand Years Ago: The Start of it all~

As we flew over to the next city, our voices had already echoed throughout the land. Though mine is the weaker of our little group. Sonata and Aria laughed with each other as the ponies below argue and fight while Adagio just grins with joy. And I, the happy, quiet, Melody Flare, just hang around the back trying to collect enough energy that I can. for…. For some reason I can't collect enough energy to make my voice strong to make ponies fight each other. So I just let the others do there job, try to do my best, and make them happy. After all, they are my family. So we help each other.

“What time will it be when we get to canterlot?” Aria asks.

“By Noon, I think. But just think when we gather all that negative energy from all those ponies!” Adagio laughed.

“And the princesses!” Sonata says with glee. All Three of them laughed. I'm worried though, we might not be able to handle the princess. Even though Adagio made that decision to go there, I still have that doubt. I fly up to adagio.

“um… Adagio?” She looks at me.

“Yes? what?”

“Well, I was thinking….. maybe we could… hold off of getting the princesses energy?” I squeak. The other two looked at me weirdly. Adagio raises an eyebrow.

“But why? all that power can be ours soon!”

“But that’s the thing…. we...we might not be able to handle it or worse….. we might be not able to get it! they could catch us before we could get to it!” I squeaked again. Adagio rubbed her chin for a couple of seconds then spoke.

“Well, I think we are. Can’t you feel it? The power inside of us! Think about it, the sooner we get there, the sooner we get ponies under our spell, and since the princesses listen to their subjects, they have no choice but to listen to us! They might have enough power for ALL of us. I tell you what, when we get to sing for the princesses, YOU will be the lead this time.” Adagio grinned. Aria and Sonata fly up to adagio and started arguing with her but I wasn’t paying attention to what they were saying. I couldn't believe it, I was going to be the lead for once! I…. Im really happy, and if she is right then….

“Let’s….. head to canterlot then.” I smiled

~Time Skipped: Betrayal~

I look from behind the curtain to see hundreds of ponies below the stage cheering and wanting the sirens to come out. and there, in the way back, on thrones, were the princesses. This…. This was it, this is our shine to take control! well at least for the others that is. This was also my time to shine as well, to make my voice strong and prove myself as a true siren I am.

“Melody, could you come here for a second?” I hear Adagio voice behind me. I fly to Adagio and the other two.

“Yes Adagio?” I say with a smile.

“Tonight’s the big night! And before we start I was wondering if you could check if everything in the back is in…. check.” Adagio grinned.

“Oh… ok!!” Ever since we have gotten to canterlot, Adagio has been asking me to make sure that everything is prepared. It’s been a hard couple of days but we did it. I quickly flew and check almost every inch of everything on back of the stage. huh? I swore I just saw a strange bearded unicorn hanging around. Actually, I seen him a lot since we got here. But I’ll ignored him for. He’s probably just another pony in a haze of our spell. Now and make sure everything is in place. There! Everything is checked! Huh? I suddenly hear music starting to play. Are… Are They starting without me? I quickly tried to fly where they are. All of the sudden I hear them scream.

“Girls?! Girls?!?!” I shout. I then see it. They…. Being sucked into this weird mirror! I…I don't know what to do! I froze there as the other sirens completely disappeared into the mirror. And Then I see HIM. It’s the unicorn from before! Before I knew it, Im flying straight at him. I got up to his face.

“What did you DO?!?” I growled. He calmly looked at me and stared at me for a few minutes before he finally talked.

“.... Well my dear, I sent them to another world.”

“What?!” I don’t understand! How?! He blinked.

“You see, I can not allow those Three gain any more power, for our world can’t end up in disharmony once more, and best I can…. This was the only option left…” He said with sadness.

“I…. can understand that…. you know, with the whole disharmony….” I say with honest words. At times when we’ve had drain the magic from ponies, I had secretly helped ponies patch things up.

“But Why couldn’t you find another way?! and…. and…..” I just then realized it.

“And….. why haven’t you sent me there yet?” I ask.

“Well my dear….. you are different from them.” He seem to skip the first question.

“From I’ve seen from all four of you, your voice is different from them. while you are a siren, it seems can’t create that much disharmony and your voice is more…. caring and helping than wanting for attention and being adored, am I right?” It’s true, so I nod. He stares into the sky for a few minutes then talks again.

“If you like…. you can stay here or follow them.” huh?

“You see this…. portal will only stay open for a few more minutes. You can go and join them once more, but you will not be able to come back. If you stay… I can find you a better home where you can use your powers for the better.” I can….. Stay here? If I stay here… I might cause only more trouble for the ponies, they might even fear me now that our spell might be broken. And I’ll be alone….. so…. I turned myself to the portal.

“Thank you for the offer, but….. The others mean alot to me. We grew up together, and without them…. I have no family left and I'm sure they feel the same.” They have to…. They were going to let me be the lead!

“.....As you wish.” The unicorn trotted away. I take a deep breath and I fly into the mirror.

“Ah!” I fall to the ground. I…. feel weird. Why am I not flying? err... Floating? I look to see…. Really long back hooves? and my front hooves are long too! with long err little hooves at the end. And I seem to be wearing some baggy clothes, like a hoodie and some jeans. I am… Trying to get up but I keep falling down. I look around to see some…. whatever they are called standing and walking on there back hooves.

“Do I really have stand on my back hooves?” I question myself. I sigh and I slowly got up on my back hooves.

“Ok! I am fine! I'm fine!” I calmly say to myself while brushing off the dirt off of me. As I look around, I quickly find a mirror.

“Woah….” As I look, I see I have a yellow mane with a blue streak plus blue, flaming like, at the end of it, and what appears to my coat, I think, is light red. Ok, i'm a bit freaked out, just… calm down melody. Now that I know what I look like, I just need to find the others. They Shouldn’t have gone too far in this town, I think. I feel something glowing on my chest. I look to see that my….. pendant is still on me! Thank celestia I still have it on me.

“I might be able to use it to track them down, with enough magic that is...” I mumble to myself. I felt no magic anywhere, so I guess have to use abit of my own for now. It took awhile to get use to walking on… back hooves. Wow, this place is big. As I walk, I look over a corner and... I’ve found them! I see Adagio, Aria, and Sonata at a bench beside the street. I know it’s them! because they still have their pendants too! I'm so happy I’ve found them I can’t wait to tell them that I am here now! They seem to talking about something….

“Dang it! I can’t believe he sent us to another world!” Aria said as she kicked a can.

“I…. wanna go home!” Sonata snivelled.

“Well, we can’t ok!! ugh!” Aria huffed. They are really sad…. But I can cheer them, Time to go over there and--

“One Good thing is though, we don’t have to deal with Melody anymore” Adagio chuckled.

W-what? I froze in my hidden place.

“But, Melody is a siren too, He could send her here any minute!” Sonata freaks.

“Pfft, yeah right, little miss can’t cause negative power. She’s not that even much of a threat!” Aria huffed again. Adagio rolls her eyes.

“Aria is right, since she’s lucky right now, she’s might have gone off and wonder on her own. heh, the only thing she was good for was a little bit more of extra energy. But, celestia, I could not handle that weak voice of hers.”

“I can’t believe you were gonna let her sing lead.” Sonata squeaked.

“For the last time sonata, I wasn’t going to lead her take lead!” Adagio facepalms.

“Hah! she wishes she could take the lead, but that will never happen, I doubt she will ever become a real powerful sirens like us.” Aria laughed. Adagio joined in on the laughing then Sonata. I can feel the tears going down my face. How…. How can they say that about me?! After all these years….. This is how the feel?! I run far, far away from them until I stopped near the edge of the town. Their voices run throughout my head. My sadness slowly starts to turn to anger. ‘I doubt she will ever become a real powerful siren like us’

I…. I am too a real siren! They couldn’t made it without me! I was the one who was always there to take care of them if they were sick or hurt! I knew what ponies held the most magic! and they dare say that stuff about me! Sweet, Celestia, I can feel myself eating my own negative energy! I can feel my pendant glowing and burning brightly. But I know one thing for sure, I will gather enough energy I can, and I swear I be there, the day that they fall and I’ll take over this…. This….PATHETIC WORLD!

~Present: Welcome to the Show~

As I parked the car in place, I look at the school in front of me.

“Ugh…. Do we really need to be here?” my friend, Minty Freeze, groans in the passenger seat.

“I know, I know, you hate being here ever since, that girl, sunset shimmer did that ‘thing’ to you, but….” A long time ago, Minty had gone to this school, but transferred after some girl humiliated her when she tried to run for some fall formal.

“I know, I know, the other sirens are here and weird source of power you feel is here too!” she says.

“Correct.” I nod. “And If I am correct, since the finals for the battle of the bands for this school starts in about a half an hour, then the… ‘other sirens’’ will try to take it and use it to try control the crowd. That is, IF they can control the magic.” I rolled my eyes.

“Oh, and you're gonna need this.” I handed her some earmuffs.

“But why? every time I hear you sing, I'm just fine!” She raises an eyebrow.

“Yes but that’s because I can control my voice to go where I want it go to. and since we are going to be in the crowd and as I said before, the other sirens will try to take control over crowd and maybe even more.” I sigh.

“I have to say though, I’ve heard some interesting things about this school though…” I stare at the school though. I also take a close look at the horse statue. I can feel my pendant glowing.

“What? when? like ever since I left this place?” Minty looked at the school as well. I nod.

“Yes… It had to do with something with that girl, sunset shimmer, and another girl who just showed up out of nowhere. It had to do something with transforming with equestrian magic.” and if I am right….. that other girl had to come from equestria as well. whatever magic they had… “I want to see it.” and even more…. I want it.

“You know, you never told me much of what it was like there, err, ‘equestria’” Minty spoke up. I snap out of my little stare and look at Minty and smile.

“Don’t worry, I tell you much about equestria in due time, for all I know, it might have change, and that tonight….. you're gonna see some equestria magic. now, come on.” I open the door and get out of the car. Minty sighs and gets out as well.

“You better believe, I got tricks up my sleeve. See me dominate, Cause I'm POWERFUL AND GGGRRREEEAAATTT!” The blue girl and her band finally stopped singing.

“Oh thank the heavens, Trixie finally stopped! I forgot how boastful she was!” Minty sank into her seat. Who ever that was, minty is right. Huh? Suddenly my pendant started to glow once again. And then I see it. There’s magic leaking up from the stage! Whoever it’s coming from, there’s more of it down there. The music began to start. Then… I see THEM. Adagio, Aria, and Sonata slowly walk to the front of the stage. I grunt. I'm so GREAT to see THEM again! “Ahhh” they start singing.

“Ah-ah-ahh” They start to collect the magic.

“Ahhh-ahh-ahh-ah-ah-ahh-ah-ah-ahh” They collect more.

“Ahhh-ahh-ahh-ah-ah-ahh-ah-ah-ahh” They stop collecting magic? but there’s more down there, I can feel it. Is that only much they can collect? and… I feeling it’s starting to move.

“Ah-ahh-ah-ah-ah-ah” “Ah-ah-ah-ah-ahh” They sway around the stage. Now the magic has been moved from the stage. but to where?

“wow, they sound…. amazing.” Minty has a shocked look on her face.

“Don’t remind me…” I grunt.

“They only sound great because of the magic…” I signed

“Welcome to the show.” Adagio sings.

“Ahh-ah-ahh-ahh”

“We’re here to let you know.”

“Ahh-ah-ahh-ahh-ah.”

“Our Time no-o-o-ow.”

“Ahh-ah-ahh-ahh.”

“Your Time is running out.” They all sing together. “Ahh-ahh-ahh.”

“I'm starting to feel uncomfortable, Melody…” She looks at me worriedly.

“Just… wait until I say to put the earmuffs on. ok?” I was feeling the same. My pendant was still glowing and I had feeling of wanting to be up there and sing to gather THAT energy they had. Where is that magic now? It’s feels likes it’s right behind us. But I don’t know where! All I knew was that I craved it. To control myself, I put my hand over my pendant.

“Ah-ahh-ah-ah-ah-ah” “Ah-ah-ah-ah-ahh”

“Feel the wave of sound.” A wave a red magic flies up to the sky from their pendants.

“Minty… Put the earmuffs on, NOW.” I almost shout.

“Ya, Don’t have to tell me twice!” She quickly puts them on.

“As it crashes down.” The red waves comes down and on to the crowed. As I look around me, everyone's, except for Minty and I, face have a shocked yet blank stare on them, as they are slowly become under their spell.

“You can’t turn away.”

“We’ll make you wanna sta-a-a-ay!!” Their pendants glowed brightly.

“We will be adored!” As they are lifted in the air, they start transforming. I can feel my pendant glowing, as if wanting to transform as well. But… I don’t have enough power to do that.

“Tell us that you want us!” they began to grow pony ears.

“We won’t be ignored!” Their hair extends in long ponytails.

“It’s time for our reward!”

“Now you need us!”

“Come and heed us!” They crack open fin like wings on them.

“Nothing can stop us now!!” Beside me, Minty looks with big shocked eyes. With that transformation I was a bit shocked too. But, still, I was wondering where is the source of the magic? I swear like it’s right behin--

“Oh-oh, oh-whoa-oh.”

“I got the music in me!”

“Oh-oh, oh-whoa-oh.” I turn in my seat, and looked to see where those voices are coming from. Then I see it, on a hill behind us is a group of girls with instruments and a… bass car thing? My pendant glows again. So, that’s where the source of magic coming from!

“Don’t need to hear a crowd.” a purple girl on the mike, starts to sing.

“Cheering out my name.” Everyone around me…. are starting to snap outta it? Minty notices this too and looks closely at the girls behind us. I sense…. I lot of magic coming from that purple singing girl.

“I didn’t come here seeking.”

“Infamy or Fame.”

“The one and only thing!” All of them are singing together.

“That I am here to bring.”

“Is music, is the music!”

“Is the music in my soul!”

“Gonna break out!” “Out!” They are…. starting to transform too?! It seems to be the equestrian magic! I sense a lot of it from the purple one. She MUST be from equestria.

“Set myself free yeah!”

“Let it all go!” “Go!”

“Just let it be Yeah!”

“Find the music in your heart!”

“Let the music make you start!”

“To set yourself, apart!” They have fully transformed errr…. pony upped. Wow the sounds terrible, I have to think of something else.

“So the Rainbooms want to turn this into a REAL battle of the bands?” I turned in my seat once again, to see adagio talking.

“Then let’s battle.” Then she and the others start singing again.

“What we have in store.”

“All we want and more.”

“We will break on through.” Everyone, except for minty and I again, around me start to get the hypnotise blank start again.

“Now it’s time to finish you!” Adagio eye’s suddenly become red. Aria and Sonata’s became red as well. Then I see it. Huh….. It’s seem with enough equestria magic they manage to project their REAL sirens selfs into the sky. They circle around the Rainbooms’ then head straight forward to them. The Rainbooms blast back at them with diamonds, butterflies and sparkles. However, The other sirens, blast sound waves at them, which knocks them to the ground. There was only silence then. My god…. They won, but…. Something doesn’t feel right… Suddenly I see it. The girl, Sunset Shimmer, I think, grabbed the mic from the ground and threw her jacket. I felt…… equestrian magic coming her, is she from equestria too? She starts singing.

“You're never gonna bring me down.”

“You're never gonna break this part of me.”

“My friends are here to bring me 'round” She helped the purple girl up.

“Not singing just for popularity.”

“We're here to let you know.” They both sing at the same time.

“That we won't let it go.”

“Our music is a bomb and it's about to blow.” The group started to sing as they get back up.

“And you can try to fight.”

“But we have got the light of.”

“Friendship on our side!”

“Got the music in our hearts!” Sunset and the purple girl put their hands together and create some kind of rainbow sound wave which breaks the spell on the crowd. The wave also seems to blast back the other sirens as well, which, their eyes stop glowing red. I turned to see Minty. Minty notices this as well and takes the ear muffs off.

“We're here to blow this thing apart!”

“And together, we will never!”

“Be afraid of the dark!”

“Here to sing our song out loud!” That Sunset girl is starting to transform.

“Get you dancing with the crowd!”

“As the music of our friendship!”

“Survives, survives!” The girl is fully transformed.

“Got the music in our hearts!” Everyone in the crowd gets up and sings with them. What the…… I then see the whole group floats up in the air.

“We're here to blow this thing apart!” Sudden a rainbow wave goes upwards.

“And together, we will never!” It seems to be going into a ball of magic, or something, I have no idea what in the world that is.

“Be afraid of the dark!” What the?! Wings come out of it!

“Here to sing our song out loud!”

“Get you dancing with the crowd!”

“As the music of our friendship!” I turn to see the other sirens looking pretty mad as they stare down at the crowd singing. Then they looked up with an horrifying expression on their faces.

“WOAH!” I hear Minty say loudly. I turned and I see a GIANT Alicorn thing with it’s mane that made of the rainbow.

“Survives, survives, survives!” The Alicorn Blast right at the other sirens with a bright rainbow. I quickly cover my pendant as I feel it shake from the blast. I can't really see anything but I hear the projections shatter. But…. I hear something else shatter as well. The Bright light fades away, and I see the other sirens on the ground….. With Their pendants shattered! I just stare in shock as they quickly get up. They try to sing again.

“We WIlL bE AdOred….” My God! They sound horrible !this is just….. Really funny. So that’s what happens when our pendants are broken…. Well, looks like they finally GOTTEN what they deserve! heheheh…. They try to sing the rest but are then they are booed off stage. I couldn’t help but to have a big grin on my face. Honesty I can’t believe what just happen. But I think it’s time to have a little ‘chat’ with the other sirens.

“Minty, let’s go.” I say as I get from my seat. I walk out into the parking lot and pull out my keys.

“H-hey! Where are we going?” I hear running after me. I chuckle.

“We are going to pay the other sirens a visit.” I then open the car door and get into the driver's seat.

~~~Time skip: A ‘Dazzling’ Reunion ~~~~

I drive into the parking lot of a motel and park the car right near where the dazzlings were staying. Minty and I quickly get out of the car.

“So, this is the place?” Minty asks.

“For where, they are staying for TONIGHT, this is yes.” I chuckle a bit.

“Thought not for long, without their magic, they don’t have control over anyone now.”

“Oh I get it, so if they used their magic to stay at this place for free then without it, the person who owns this place can now, on his own free will, can kick them out.” Minty pointed out.

“Correct.” I happily say. We walk down the sidewalk and come in front of the room where the dazzlings are at. I can hear loud screaming and arguing from the other side of the door. I couldn’t help but chuckle. I reach my hand over to knock, but stop for a second.

“Oh, also minty, it might be best if you stay behind me, thing might get….. Rough.” I say as I look at Minty. Minty nods and takes a few steps back. I reach over again and knock this time.

“WHO FREAKING HERE?! GO AWAY!!” I can hear Aria yell from the other.

“Well someone has anger issues…” I hear Minty mutter from behind me. I knock once more. The door flies open.

“WHAT DO YOU WANT--” Aria yells

“Wow, Aria, you're still the loud one... as always.” I cut her off. Aria stops to take a good look at me and stare for a few seconds. She then stares at my pendant.

“...... M-Melody?” she mutters then backs away. I walk in with Minty to see Adagio and Sonata still arguing.

“Uhh, girls……” Aria says still looking pretty shocked. But Adagio and Sonata are still bickering.

“GIRLS!!” Aria yells.

“WHAT?!” They both yell. I start to laugh.

“Wow, you girls are really pathetic now, aren’t ya?” I say with my laugh. They turn to look at me.

“Melody?....” Sonata asks with a shocked look on her face.

“Wow, All three of you remember my name, that’s a shocker!” I laugh once again. They just stare at me.

“B-but this is impossible! heh….” Adagio chuckles nervously, trying to act cool.

“That old fool banished US, not YOU. there’s no way--”

“True, Starswirl did, But that’s the end of it.” I cut Adagio off.

“In Fact, Starswirl gave me a choice. Stay there or Follow you girls, and lookie where I am now!” I threw daggers at them.

“Well, If that old guy gave you a choice, then why didn’t you stayed there?” Aria angrily looks at me.

“Because……” I cross my arms.

“The girl I was was back then though you three were my family!” All three are struck with the words I said.

“Bu-But we are your family!” Sonata says.

“HA! Don’t make me laugh, You don’t I didn’t hear you three said about back then? About the worthless siren I was?” I snapped. All three are quiet.

“Then why are you here?” Aria snaps.

“Well Aria, I just wanted come and see my BELOVED sisters after that lovely performance you put on.” I mocked.

“You were there?!” All three said. I laughed.

“Yes, and It was quite spectacular, watch you being defeated AND having your pedant shattered! Now that was something!”

“Then why didn’t you help us--”

“Did you really think I would help you after your betrayal?” Adagio snaps but once again I cut her off.

“Besides I wouldn’t wanted had risk of my own pendant to shatter. Unlike you three I’ve been saving my magic over time. Don’t you know? This world has a magic of it’s own, but it was untouched until equestrian magic was poured into it. Creating something greater! I’ve been studying it. Yet while I’ve been studying it and harvesting it, what do you three do? Just draining any magic you can find then wildly using it without ever consider any possibility of defeat!” I chuckle. Adagio looks angry.

“H-hey! Over the past couple days, we manage to get a whole under our control with the magic we found, I say that’s more than just studying--”

“Ha, you don’t think I’ve done the same?” I laugh.

“What?” Adagio says with a look of disbelief.

“I’ve done the same, sweet Adagio. For awhile now, I’ve been going to a school called Everton. And within a couple of days, with the help of my dear friend, Minty….” I look behind me to see Minty awkwardly wave to them.

“We now have the school under our control, even the one’s that are doing the independent program there. And you know what? I didn’t even had to use magic, it’s a little thing I also studied and used called psychology.” I rub it in.

“But now that you three are out of the way, It’s time for this faded dazzling to shine.” I laugh. All three stare at me with an angry yet kinda scared look. I think it’s time they get what they REALLY deserve. I walk around Adagio. She looks with a confused look.

“But Seriously thought Adagio, I can’t believed you ,of all three the group, failed. I mean you should have known that there was more magic under the stage! Then again, out of the three of you, Aria was BETTER at finding magic in people. She could have even been a better leader.” I say smoothly. I look at Minty and with just a look in my eye’s, she smirks and joins in. Minty walks over to Sonata.

“And you know, unlike you….” Minty looks at Aria then back to Sonata.

“...She has at least a bit more fashion taste for at least trying to take over the world. And even when you were, you didn’t look like a siren at all...” Minty looks back at Aria. chuckles. I can see Aria and Adagio are starting to get angry.

“Oh but Minty, let me tell you, Sonata is the WORST of them all! I mean sure she’s not the smartest, but at least she had a better singing voice then the other two.” I smirk. It seem to put them over the line.

“The only one that has a better voice is ME! These two couldn’t do anything without ME!” Adagio shout.

“Oh yeah right, you know it was me, and you know what? I maybe I could have been a better leader! Better than you two!” Aria gets into Adago face.

“No, I had the better voice! I may not be smart but at least I knew how to attract a crowd!” Sonata yells. The three start arguing once again. I think I’ll take what’s left of the magic inside them. I start to sing.

“Ah, Ah-Ah, Ah-Ahh.”

“Ah, Ah-Ah, Ah-Ahh.” I see and feel the magic flowing into my pendant. Ah, it feels great. As soon as I stop singing, I can feel my pendant glowing with pride.

“Come on Minty, let’s go.” I say Minty as I walk towards the door.

“So… what’s next?” Minty says as we walk outside.

“We watch and wait.” I say simply.

“What do you mean?” She asks.

“We may know the area of which equestria magic flows by, but we don’t know where for sure. And if we tried to got after it, there is no doubt that it would raise suspicion. Instead we should continue doing our business, yet keep our eye on Canterlot High. then wait for the right moment, when they let their guards down….” I smirk.

“Well… we’ll both have our revenge completed.” I chuckle. Minty smirks as well. I open the car door and get in.

After All, They will never know what hit them.
