You didn't know

Luna...

You didn't know of the pain you caused me,
You didn't know the pain for everypony else.
You thought that I would never rise against you,
Dear sister, deep down though you knew I would!

You pushed me down!
You made me back down!
You made me come back each day to the place that we called home,
You made me suffer in my own dome,
Stuck on the moon...

Sister, dear Tia,
Goodnight sister mine,
May all of your dreams tonight,
Are filled with all of the ponies delight,
May I come back soon,
Taken off of my moon,
Not stuck in everlasting night?

I'm sorry

Celestia...

Luna,
I'm sorry,
Luna,
I'm here for you tonight,
Little sister, you know that I swore,
That I swore to our parents to protect you,
So where did we go wrong?
I miss you, Lulu, for when you return, that shall be the end of my plight!

On that fateful night,
We had a bloody battle,
Battling through the night!
I remember, that I tore through your skin, so as to try and to prevent you from flight!
You still flew at me,
I had to use the harmony,
And yet I'm still reminded of that night,
The night you were sealed away,
Sealed away from the light of day...

You hated me

Nightmare moon...

You hated me,
You tried to usurp me,
You tried to destroy my night,
It is luck that thou would have it,
That you didn't perish that night!

Remember when we were fillies,
That you never left me alone?
Now that you have grown tired of me,
You sealed me, in my beautiful, beautiful dome!
You swore that I was safe,
You swore that I was strong,
You swore you would protect me,
Well now you have proven yourself wrong!

I know you think we're not the same,
Your sister and I,
That I am merely a shade of the night!
This is to prove to you,
That you no longer know Lulu,
That she will have never-ending night!

I shall save you

Twilight sparkle...

I have been told,
The tales of old,
Of one who wanted the night.
My mentor told me,
When I saw the signs,
That there was some truth in that tale of the waning light.
She sent me to the village,
To make some friends,
And to prepare for the celebration.
Never did I think,
That it would ever end like this,
I found more than friendship that night.

I shall save you,
From yourself,
I shall save you,
From making everlasting night!

Did you really think that with the elements of harmony turned to stone,
You would usurp your sister's throne,
As well as destroy my new home?
Welcome to the truth,
That as the magic,
Your tale won't be so tragic,
As it was that first night,
And leaving your sister in a thousand years of plight!

Dearest sister can I have your advice,
Can I ask you once more,
Have you ever felt crushed,
By the pain that you bore?

All the time I spent wishing,
And thinking way away on the moon,
And always wanting,
To come home back to you.

It's hard to remember the life as had before,
When we were young fillies,
And the world was new,
With no war,
Just warm days full of sunshine.

But then the war,
Which we never understood,
As they never thought we could.

Don't you remember all those days long ago,
Before we took the crown?
How we,
Just young fillies,
Would lie down on the ground,
And talk for hours,
About when we would rule,
But we never thought the world could be so cruel,
As to rob us of our childhoods,
And make us rule instead.

Celestia

Yes,
My dear sister,
I know well what you mean,
How we learnt so much of the world that we share,
In just those few simple days,
Of sitting in those cursed chairs.

Many times I wish,
That this was a dream,
That we would wake up with a scream,
And that Mother and Father,
Would comfort us,
And say it's just a dream.

But we must be strong,
For our country,
For the ponies we rule,
And least of all,
Twilight Sparkle.
She still has a long journey,
Full of heartache and pain,
Her friends won't last forever,
And we all know the pain.

We have all lost someone in our past,
Mother,
Father,
Lovers and foals,
But when the universe ends,
We will meet with them again,
When we say goodbye it's not forever,
Just a little while.

So please don't be sad dear,
as I'm just glad you're home,
And I know that no matter what,
We will never part that way again.

Luna

But sister,
What if we do?
You may say we will never,
Be away from each other,
Or be away from the light of day.
What if we should slip,
And force each other to make the same sacrifices,
You made for me?

I can't bear to lose you,
As it's been so long since I was here,
How we were foals then,
Yet princesses now,
As the price of the crown,
Weighs heavy on all around,
Especially to those who bear it,
But at least we can still,
Share the burden just like we used to,
Ever so long ago.

Cadence is busy,
What with little Flurry,
And the Crystal Empire too,
Who will help Twilight out?
She still does not know the way of the crown,
She is only just beginning to rule,
With her friends alongside her.

I hope that we can guide her to fortune, and fame,
As a gifted ruler,
Merciful and kind,
As she will have Spike at her side,
To guide her way,
Oh yes guide her way.

She won't always need us,
And we won't always be there,
She will need to show the confidence she had,
When she defeated me,
And brought me back to you.

Luna and Celestia

Still I hope that we,
Will never change,
As I waited so long,
To hear your sweet song,
And be together again,
Oh to be together again.
