> Twilight's Need of Assistance > by EldinKaiser > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Twilight's Need of Assistance > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight's back in Equestria and it's been about another month since she was back in the human realm. Though this time around, she hasn't been ignoring me. Thankfully, and hopefully, I'll be able to make my own return back home. I yawn out softly and stretch out on my bed, whining slightly because I have to spend another night by myself. I look over to see Twilight's book glowing and smiled softly. I reach up to grab it, opening it up. "Hey Sunny, hope I'm not waking you." She wrote down. I smile and grab my pen. "No, I'm just laying in bed, wishing you were here with me." I write. A minute passed before the book lit up once more. "I wish I was too, but I may have some good news." She wrote down before I hear a knocking on the front door. I sat up and yawned softly. "Ok, she knows it's past midnight, right?" I asked myself, grabbing my robe and wrapping it around myself as I walk down the stairs. "Hold on, I'm coming." I called out, an overjoyed smile on my face. I open the door to see Twilight, but not my Twilight. "H-Hey Sunset, got a minute?" She asked in a bashful tone. The smile fell from my face, though nodded softly. "Yeah, come on in. Let me just run upstairs and grab something." I said, opening the door for her. She walked in and shut the door behind her and went into the living room and made herself at home. I come back downstairs, still in my robe and book in hand. "What's that?" She asked, pointing towards my book. "Oh, this? It's just something that me and my Twilight use to stay in contact with each other." I said, placing the book on my lap. Twilight nodded and watched as I placed the book on the table between us. "So, what is it you need to ask?" I asked, stretching out slightly to get comfortable. She paused and I saw a bit of a blush come to her face. "M-mind if I ask something? Something rather personal." She asked, each passing word growing more and more nervous. I looked at her and rose a brow, slightly worried about what she's going to ask. "Ok? What is it?" I asked once more. "W-well, when you and your Twilight met, did you two originally think that you two would end up as a couple?" She asked. I looked at her and smiled softly. "Honestly, not really. We were both to shy to actually come forth about our feelings until one night, I finally kind of begged her to come back." I said, a bashful smile forming along my lips. "Well, the reason I ask is because of my friend Sunset, or this world's Sunset. We grew up together almost, she's a bit older than me and it's been a few years since we talked. Though I ran into her again and I just felt...well..." She paused and instantly looked down at the ground to hide her face. I looked at her, automatically knowing that expression. "You like her, don't you?" I asked. I saw her face turn into many different shades of red, but she eventually gave a defeated nod. "When I met you, I thought you were her at first, but after talking to you and getting to know your mannerisms, I knew it wasn't her and thought nothing of it. You were just another person. No offense." She said. "None taken." I replied. "But when I saw her again, I don't know. It's a new feeling to me. I've never been with anyone. I've never thought of being with anyone. Though, when we met. I just..." She paused and began to blush deeper. I smile and let out a soft chuckle. "You want to go out with her, but you're not to sure how to approach the situation." I said as she nodded once more. "Well, you two just need to sit down and ta-" I paused and jumped slightly to see the book going off. "Excuse me for a moment." I said, grabbing my pen. "Hey Twi, could you possibly come here for a little while? I'm going to need your help explaining something to this world's Twi." "What is it?" She replied almost instantly. "Well, she ran into this world's Sunset and is extremely shy. Kind of our situation all over again." I wrote down. The book sat silent for a moment before I closed it and sat it aside. "Well, it's kind of difficult for me alone to explain. Hopefully my Twilight will be here to help explain it." I said. She nodded softly and leaned back in her chair. "Sunset, I don't know what to do. She's one of my oldest and closest friends and I'm terrified of ruining our friendship." She said, trying to figure out a solution for her problem. I sat there for a minute, trying to rack my own brain for a solution, but couldn't figure out anything. Finally, I hear the lock on the door coming undone with the door opening. "Hey Twilly." I said, standing up to greet her. "Twilly?" Twilight asked. I blushed softly and rested my head on Twi's shoulder. "Yeah, she calls me Twilly and I call her Sunny. I guess it's just cute little pet names we call each other." Twilly explained, wrapping an arm around me to pull me close to her. I just realised how confusing this is going to get, though sighed and kissed the top of Twilly's head. "So, I hear that you've fallen for Sunset. Not my Sunset of course, but your own world's." Twi said. Twilight nodded softly, still trying to get used to the fact that there are two different Twilight's. "Y-Yeah, I want to try and take that leap of faith, but I'm scared that it's just going to blow up in my face." She said, giving a pained sigh. Me and Twi walk over to the couch and sat back down across from Twilight, trying to figure out a solution. "Well, don't you have her cellphone number?" Twi asked. Twilight paused and pulled out her phone, going through her contacts and nodded softly. "Well, you could do what Sunny done." Twi said, then turned to me, knowing my face will turn a soft shade of red. "No, don't do that. We don't know how this world's Sunset will react." I said, looking up at Twi, still resting my head on her shoulder. "Well if it means anything, you two do act a lot alike." Twilight said. "Hmmm, I have an idea." Twi said, smirking softly. I sat up and shot her a suspicious look. "Why don't you invite her to stay with you one night?" Twi suggested, immediately getting a furious blush from Twilight. "I-I don't think my parents would like the idea of it. I mean, they're both kind of..." "Close minded?" Twi asked. Twilight nodded softly and hung her head a bit. "I understand...maybe you can stay with her for a night." Twi suggested. A few seconds passed with Twilight's phone going off. She reached down and looked at it, her face lighting up almost instantly. "What does it say?" I asked. She passed her phone to me and I read out "Twi, I know it's been a few years since we last saw each other, but I really miss you and wish that we were close again. Please. can we talk about this one night? Maybe tomorrow?" I looked up at Twilight and smirked softly. "So we didn't even have to do anything, we just just had to wait." I paused to see that there was still more messages after that. "Twi?" "You're not mad at me, are you?" "Please, respond." "Sorry to have bothered you..." I paused after reading that message, starting to get annoyed with Twilight. "Um, she's been trying to reach you all day and you've been ignoring her?" I asked, my tone growing slightly louder. She hung her head lower and nodded. "Why?" I asked. "Because, as much as I want it to happen, I'm scared that it won't and we won't be friends anymore." She admitted. I felt her phone vibrate in my hand as I opened it up to see Sunset messaging her once more. "I really hope that I didn't make things awkward between us. I'll leave you alone if you would like." I read out. Twi looked at me as I began to type. "Sunset! No!" Twi demanded. I looked at her and groaned, handing the phone back over to Twilight. "She's offering you her heart and you're crushing it right now. I typed the message out, if you want it to work then you push that send button." I stated, slightly annoyed with her as I crossed my arms and began to stare her down. We watched her thumb hover over the send button for a good minute before she pushed down on it. "Well, here's hoping for the best." She said, putting her phone back in her purse. "What did it say?" Twi whispered to me. "I'll tell you later." I said, smiling softly, resting my head back on her shoulder. "Well, I guess I'm going to get home before it gets too late." She said, blushing deeply. I nodded softly and stood up. "Listen, if I had doubt, I wouldn't tell you to do it, but look at me and my Twilight. We were in the same place you were. Just have faith." I said with a tender smile. She nodded and returned the smile. "Thank you both." She said before turning to leave. I shut the door and yawned out softly and turned to Twi who was getting ready to leave herself. "Oh no, missy. I got you to myself tonight." I said, walking up to her, wrapping my arms around her hips to pull her close to me. She blushed a bit and smiled. "This was just a plan to get me up here, wasn't it?" She asked. I smiled innocently and shook my head. "Not at first, but I thought, since my little Twilly is in town, she can stay with me tonight." I said, gently pressing my forehead against hers. She smirked and nodded softly. "Ok, though I'm going to have to head out in the morning. Probably before you even wake up." She said, resting her arms around my shoulders. I smiled and nodded softly. "I understand, love." I said, leaning in and kissed her softly. "Should we head on to bed then?" She suggested. I smirked softly and released her, undoing the front of my robe and turning off the lights. "Oh, I was thinking something maybe a little bit more fun." I teased, I walked back over to her and grabbed her hand, instantly feeling the heat radiating off her body. "Yes, ma'am!" She purred out, following behind me. "By the way, you never told me what you typed out." Twi said. "I just basically said what Twilight told us." I said as I walked into the bedroom. "You typed all that out, that fast?" Twi said in a surprised tone. "Well, yeah. When you've been in this world as long as I have, it kind of becomes second nature almost." I stated, sitting down on my bed, pulling Twi beside of me. She nodded softly. "Fair enough. She said as I reached over her and turned off the light. "Now. Where were we?" I teased.
