> Ups and Downs > by NorthernSlide > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Strange Feelings > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a normal day in Ponyville, Birds were chirping and ponies were going to work. And this has been no different for the Cutie mark crusaders, they were out on a crusade for their Cutie Marks. But not everything was quite as normal as it seemed, while all was normal with two of the Crusaders one orange Pegasus was feeling a bit different today. She wasn't sure what was happening, but, it seemed that she couldn't look at Sweetie Belle. Now, of course, there were times when Scootaloo said she was so mad at Sweetie that she couldn't look at her, but, this was different she wasn't mad at Sweetie she had no reason to be so why was she feeling like this? It was a question she felt like she would never know the answer to, mainly because she figured it would go away after a day or two. She sat there staring off into space as Sweetie Belle And Apple Bloom were attempting to earn their cutie marks in sewing. At this point, she could only hope that they would not notice. "Are ya ok Scoots?" Apple Bloom asked. 'Great' Scootaloo thought. 'How am I going to talk my way out of this one' Truth Be told she didn't have an answer for that question. "Oh uh yeah. I'm fine" She responded. Scootaloo could tell by the looks on both of her friend's faces that they didn't quite believe her. "Are you sure Scoots? You have been staring out the window for like an hour at this point" Sweetie said with concern. Scootaloo wasn't very good in these situations but, she figured that she could talk her way out of this with some clever wordplay. "Yeah I'm just kind of tired," Scootaloo says, trying her best to sound believable. And it seemed that she might have failed at that as her friends still didn't look convinced. "Are you sure?" Sweetie Belle asks. Technically Scootaloo was telling the truth because she didn't even know what was wrong with her. "Y-Yeah I'm sure" She stuttered. She made the make of looking at Sweetie Belle. Which caused her to Stutter and blush a little bit. While she did her best to hide her blush but, it was pretty difficult. So her only hope was that her friends wouldn't notice, but, with how persistent they were she doubted that they would miss it. "Yeah sure. We ain't ever seen ya act this way Scoots" Apple Bloom says. While Scootaloo was a good talker, she didn't like to lie, especially to her friends not to mention she was a horrible liar, she had been hanging around the Apples too much. "Yeah I'm just not feeling very well," Scootaloo says. ' That was such a lame thing to say' She thought, ' Rainbow Dash would never tell anyone that she was feeling bad' while that wasn't entirely true Scootaloo would like to think that it was. "Aww, do you need to go home?" Sweetie says in a caring tone. Scootaloo figured that it would probably be best just to go home and collect herself and maybe figure out what was wrong. Was she sick? or was it something else? "Yeah, that would probably be best," Scootaloo says. Sweetie Nodded. "Do ya want us to walk ya back home?" Apple Bloom asked. Scootaloo wouldn't normally be opposed to the idea, but, she just wanted to be alone at the moment. "Thank you, girls, but it's alright," Scootaloo said as she turned to leave the carousel boutique. "Bye Scoots! I hope you feel better" Sweetie Belle says. Scootaloo turned around and waved goodbye to the other two crusaders. "Yeah, we hope ya get better Scoots!" Apple Bloom says. Scootaloo flashed both of them a small smile before she once again turned around to leave the boutique. The bell above the door jingled as Scootaloo pushed it open and she started to walk back to her home. She wasn't quite sure what she was going to do when she got back home. But she did know that she wanted to lay down for a bit and maybe even take a little nap. Or maybe she would try to get these weird thoughts out of her head. or they might just go away on their own. As she continued to walk down the street toward her house more thought popped into her head. 'What if I'm not sick?' she thought 'What if I just have some weird feeling for Sweetie belle or even Apple Bloom? No I don't want to think that way my relationship with the crusaders is the same and will remain the same as it always has!'. Scootaloo honestly couldn't think of a good reason that she would be feeling any different about Apple Bloom or Sweetie Belle. But she was a teenager at this point, so maybe this was just some growing pains that come with being a teenager. Whatever it was Scootaloo didn't like it. Eventually, Scootaloo reached her house. It wasn't very big but, it was home, She didn't run into much traffic so she made it home rather quickly. It was relevantly early so her mom shouldn't be home yet. Which meant that she had some alone time to think of herself without being interrupted. She walked up the steps that led to the front door. The door was surprisingly unlocked, Typically the door was locked, and since she never brought a key with her, It would usually end up with her having to go through a window. She turned the knob and walked through the front door of her house. She trudged down the hall and into her room. She carefully maneuvered her way through the very cluttered room, and eventually collapsed onto her bed in the corner of her room. 'Ugh! Why does life have to be so confusing? She thought. She laid there in her bed for what felt like an eternity just staring at the ceiling, not thinking about anything. She was jolted from her trance by her mom slamming the front door shut. 'Great. Mom is in a bad mood' She thought. It didn't matter all that much considering that she never really talked to her mom in the first place, but if she did talk to her and she ended up saying the wrong thing. her mom might explode, which was never a good thing. Scootaloo figured that it was best to just call it a night. She wasn't feeling good and her mom was in a bad mood. So she closed her eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.
