Diamond Tiara and Sweetie Belle hits the road on a family trip.
Loosely based on Plucky and Hamton's road trip in the Tiny Toons' summer vacation special; dedicated respectfully to the memory of Joe Alaskey. After school's out for the summer, Sweetie Belle accompanies her parents on a road trip to an extremely popular amusement park. Diamond Tiara tries to tag along, but will she end up regretting this? Most likely.
"Bye kids, enjoy your summer off!" Cheerilee calls out to her students as they leave the schoolhouse. It's time that the foals has waited for all year: summer vacation!
The ponies needed a vaca after the madness involving the Dark Water which Bai Tza has made a long time ago. This stuff ended up corrupting the Mane Six, turning them crazy and causing trouble. Fortunately, Spike, Ben, Nyx, the CMC, Princess Luna, Pinkamena's group and their pals were able to fix the mess and restore the Mane Six to normal.
The Mane Six felt a bit terrible for what they did, but luckily, they were forgiven. After all, it isn't the first time ponies were turned bad against their will (they did forgave Rarity for her brief time as Nightmare Rarity).
As things went back to normal and summer has arrived, the ponies of Ponyville prepare for their own summer, especially Twilight Sparkle who is working on tying to prepare a speech to congratulate the most recent graduates of Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns.
Our main focus is on a certain former bully known as Diamond Tiara who is walking Sweetie Belle home. Diamond remarks, "Well, things in Ponyville is toned down a bit especially after what happened."
"I know, Rarity felt a bit bad for what she and her friends did. They are staying out of spotlight until things die down." Sweetie chirped a bit. "I was worried I would lose her."
"Yeah, yeah, so what shall we do for summer? Hit the arcade? Sugar Cube Corner? Watch TV at my house? I got this big screen that can put a hologram to shame."
"Sorry, but I will be out of town this summer."
"What, out of town?" Diamond Tiara ask a bit surprised. "Where are you going that take you away from your pals?"
"Oh, well, we're going to Whinny Land." Sweetie chirps happily as she heads off. Hearing that made the filly shocked and alarmed.
"Wait, wait. Whinny Land?! One of the most happiest places in Equestria?! The extremely popular amusement park?!"
"Yeah! Applejack and Rarity told me they went there while AJ was going on a trip...into the wrong place. So we decided to head THERE this summer. I'm pretty sure you have gone to this park a lot."
"Not anywhere near as often as you think. Sure, I have more than enough money to easily afford tickets and transportation, but Dad is almost always too busy and I only trust my mother maybe one tenth as far as I can throw her with one hoof." Diamond Tiara remarks, rolling her eyes in disapproval. She may have enough money, but her parents are either too busy and/or cannot be trusted.
"Understood. Okay, that makes sense." Sweetie said with a shrug, understanding her friend's point.
"Unfortunately, this time is no exception as far as "'Daddy being too busy'" goes. I must admit I considered asking Silver if she wanted to come along, but she is busy with her part time summer job."
"So why would she have a summer job? It's not like she needs the money."
"Well, she is trying to raise the money to buy her mother a good birthday present without dipping into her allowance." Diamond admits to what her friend is doing.
"In other words, she is trying to buy her mother a present without using her mother's money." Sweetie said, arching an eyebrow at this.
"Well, yeah."
"Hey, Sweetie!" A familiar voice spoke up. The two fillies saw Sweetie's parents, Hondo Flanks and Cookie Crumbles, packing up the last of their stuff in the car. Hondo, the one who spoke, continues, "Got the last of the stuff in!"
"We're ready to hit the road!" Cookie Crumbles giggles as she got into the car.
"Well, bye, Diamond! See you when I get back!" Sweetie exclaims as she heads off to the car.
Diamond Tiara hesitates as she watch her friend goes to the car, preparing to head off. The former bully, half of her, wishes to go...but would her former enemy and her family let her go?
Diamond Tiara winces a bit as she watches on. Hondo spoke up, "Okay! You all wanna hit the outhouse before we go?"
"Nope!" The females exclaims happily, assuring him that they are all ready.
"Okay! Let's go!!!!"
Diamond Tiara moves out of the way as the car moves away from the house and heads off. The former bully hesitates...then rushes after the car.
"Wait, wait, WAIT!!!" Diamond Tiara screams as she jumps at the car, hitting the back hard.
"Hold up." Cookie Crumbles said in concern, making her husband stop the car. "I thought we hit something."
The ponies looks out to see Diamond Tiara, dizzy and coming up to the driver's window. Hondo spoke, "Oh, Miss Tiara."
"Did you want to go on our trip too?"
"Well, uh, uh...oh, well, I am sure you wouldn't want an extra coming along." Diamond Tiara said quickly. She decided to play a pity card, in hopes that Sweetie's family would go along. "I will spend my summer...all alone. By myself...without Silver Spoon or Maxin, who is on vacation, to be with..."
"Awww, mom, dad, can't Diamond come along?" Sweetie Belle ask her parent, giving out the puppy dog eyes look. "Please?"
"Yes, please? I mean...whatever. It's..."
"Well, did you ask your parents?" Cookie Crumbles ask Diamond Tiara in concern. She didn't want to take her along and worry Filthy and Spoiled Rich.
"Just a sec." Diamond Tiara said nervously.
As if by impossible means, Diamond Tiara rushes off and head back home in a sec. Her parents are in the living room, reading magazine and/or counting money.
"Mommy, daddy, I'm going out this summer!" Diamond Tiara exclaims happily to her parents. "Can I go with a friend please?"
"Why sure, honey. Have fun." Filthy Rich said to his daughter with a chuckle without looking up from his money.
"Sure, whatever." Spoiled Rich snaps in an uncaring tone of voice. She apparently doesn't care if Diamond is out of town, as long as it's out of her mane.
Then, by impossible means once more, Diamond Tiara rushes back to Sweetie Belle's car, then smiles while saying, "Yes?”
"Awww, all right, sure. The more, the merrier!" Hondo Flanks laughs as Diamond Tiara bounces up and down eagerly, but calms down somewhat. "You can get in the back with Sweetie!"
Diamond Tiara didn't waste time in getting into the back. Sweetie laughs, "All right! One of my pals is coming! You're going to love this trip!"
"Yeah, sure..." Diamond Tiara said, suddenly nervous as the car drove off, heading on its way to Whinny Land. She should be happy, the filly gets to go along.
So why does she got a bad feeling of what's to come?

Sweetie's family traveled through some hot wasteland as they and Diamond Tiara are on their way to Whinny Land. The family sung one of their songs while Diamond had to listen.

"Well, at least Apple Cider is not an alcoholic drink." Diamond remarked, shaking her head.
"Well, we don't drink alcohol in our family, Diamond." Cookie Crumbles said to Diamond with a giggle.
"Phew. It's hot." Diamond Tiara said, sweating a bit. "Can someone turn the AC on?"
"Sorry, AC wastes gas, let me crack a window up for ya." Hondo Flanks said, opening a window. Suddenly a bunch of wind blows throughout the car, causing the stallion to close it. "Whoa! Now I remember, its blows out there!"
"Yeah, blows." Diamond Tiara mumbles with her mane a big mess from the wind.
"You okay, Diamond?" Sweetie ask as she helps Diamond fixes her mane.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Now I can see why else your sister chose not to come." Diamond Tiara said to Sweetie with a sigh. "Besides laying low from the dark water incident."
"Don't remind me." Sweetie said, not wanting to get into that. "Anyway, maybe this can help."
Sweetie's horn glows as a cloud appears above Diamond, causing it to sprinkle a bit on her.
"Feel better?" Sweetie ask her friend with a grin.
"Yeah, much better. Thanks, Sweetie Belle." Diamond said with a relaxed sigh.
"Well, anyone want to play a game?" Hondo Flanks ask with a smile. "We can play..."
"Spot the wagon?! Spot the wagon?!" Sweetie asked excitedly.
"Ha ha ha! Okay, Sweetie, spot the wagon!" Hondo laughs, this made Sweetie squeal in delight.
"Spot the wagon? Like farm wagons, or chuck wagons?" Diamond ask Sweetie curiously as she cooled down in the rain.
"Any kind of wagon!" Sweetie exclaimed with a giggle.
"Here they come." Hondo said with a smirk. Sure enough, a bunch of wagons are approaching.
"THERE'S A WAGON, THERE'S A WAGON, THERE'S A WAGON!" The family laughs as they jump around, causing Sweetie to unknowing slamming her friend into the seat.
"Fun game." Diamond said with a groan. Unfortunately, more wagons approaches, causing them to jump around like mad.
"THERE'S A WAGON, THERE'S A WAGON, THERE'S..." The family stops as they saw a different vehicle passing. "Oops! A truck!"
The family laughs happily. Sweetie, realizing that she's crushing Diamond, spoke sheepishly, "Oops, sorry Diamond!"
"Ouchie." Diamond groans as she recovers. "Warn a filly next time!"
"No problem." Sweetie agreed.
"Oh, tunnel coming up, tunnel coming up!" Cookie Crumbles giggles eagerly as a tunnel is coming up. "Everyone, hold your breath once we get in and make a wish."
"Wait, does that even make sense?" Diamond Tiara ask skeptically. Whoever heard of holding yoyr breath and make a wish.
"Yeah! If you do so the whole time, it will be come true!" Sweetie exclaims in delight. This got Diamond convinced as said with a shrug, "Okay, why not?"
Everyone holds their breaths upon entering the tunnel. Diamond Tiara was groaning a bit. She holds this is worth it.
"I wish I was in Whinny Land, I wish I was in Whinny Land." Diamond Tiara groans out. She is turning blue, this tunnel appears to be taking forever. Everyone is turning red. "I wish I was in Whinny Land..." Some light shows up, the end of the tunnel is near. "I...CAN'T TAKE IT!!!"
Diamond Tiara let his breath out earlier, sending her to the back of the car. Once the car is out, everyone exhaled, sending breath throughout the car.
As the ponies recover, Diamond faints to the floor seat, groaning, "I miss school..."
Sweetie's family, meanwhile, was laughing after they recovered. They hugged each other as Cookie Crumbles remarked happily, "Oh, I love that game!"
"Right, last time, I wished for a cutie mark...and that was before I became friends with you." Sweetie giggles. It's true, she did the same game a while before she and her friends got their cutie marks. "Yours didn't came true, Diamond."
"Unfortunately no." Diamond Tiara said with a sigh. She then realizes somethings. "Wait, hang on. Your wish didn't come true this time!"
"Oh, it did, Diamond." Cookie Crumbles said with a smile.
"To be a happy family forever and ever." The family all said at once happily, making Diamond Tiara groans. Awkward!
"Oh, why am I not surprised?" Diamond Tiara asked dryly.
It took a few minutes as the family arrives near a restaurant area. They stopped to get some grub.
Of course, in this case, they stopped in a parking lot where the family took out their meals and eat like mad, much to Diamond's concern.
"You aren't even going in to order?" Diamond Tiara ask in disbelief.
"We are kinda low on cash." Sweetie mumbles with her mouth full.
"Well, I got my Equestrian card." Diamond Tiara said, taking a credit card out. "Daddy told me never to leave home without it. Mind if I get myself a meal?"
"Go right ahead, Diamond." Hondo said with a smile.

"Geez, I ordered a lot." Diamond Tiara mumbles as she pushes a cart full of food. The filly must be hungry. "I normally have Maxin do this but he's not here."
"Come on, Diamond, we got to hit the road." Hondo said, smiling as Diamond got the food into the back of the cart. "Don't eat it all in one place. Heh heh heh."
Once Diamond is in the car, the family proceed in heading off on their way once more. Diamond hums as she stuffs herself. This makes up for watching Sweetie's family eating.
"Here, have some." Diamond Tiara offers as she gives some food to Sweetie.
"Thanks!" Sweetie giggles as she eats some food.
"And while I stuffed my face, I will stuff my mind with this." Diamond Tiara said as she took out a comic book. "The first issue ever of Power Ponies! Took me forever to get and beg daddy for this! Here." The former bully then hands the comic book to Sweetie. "Have a read."
"Uh, Diamond. We don't let Sweetie eat and read on family road trips." Cookie Crumbles said to Diamond in precaution, wagging a hoof at her.
"Geez. What is it with parents thinking comics today ruin the foal's mind?"
"Not that, Diamond." Sweetie groans out. Diamond's eyes widen in shock as the filly is turning green while her eyes swirl. "Eating and reading in the car...makes me...gulp...car sick!"
It gets worst. The car is going up and down hills, sending the food around. Sweetie is getting more sick by the moment! Diamond held as Sweetie is turning purple and blue. It won't be long before the poor unicorn filly throws up!
Frantically, Diamond grabs an empty ice cube container and held it in front of Sweetie. No good as the filly bloated and groans some more. The Earth pony even grabs the hat that Hondo is wearing and held it out, but Sweetie is bloating some more. Diamond grabs a bucket, but guess what? Sweetie bloats even more, turning more blue!
Diamond tries her best to open a window but it won't open. Then something is about to happen that made Diamond's eyes widened in fear: Sweetie's eyes swirl like mad as she is about to vomit...on the Power Ponies magazine!
"NO! NOT ON THE COMIC!!!" Diamond is heard screaming. But it's too late, the sounds of vomiting can be heard as something "hits" the comic. "Nooooo!!!"
"Told ya Sweetie shouldn't eat and read." Cookie Crumbles is heard remarking to Diamond.
It was a while later as Sweetie, now recovered from her illness, uses her magic to clean up the comic book.
"Sorry about that." Sweetie said to Diamond sheepishly while removing the last of the mess. "Of course, mom did warned ya."
"It's okay." Diamond sighs as she put her comic book away. "I will remember to give this when we make a big stop. Phew!" The filly wipes some sweat off her head. "I gotta say, I'm getting sweat on my coat."
"Yeah, I think we could use a little pit stop." Hondo Flanks groans a bit. He is having trouble controlling the car: he got to go!
Soon the car stopped at a gas station. Upon stopping, the unicorns got out and uses their respective bathrooms. Diamond sighs a bit in relief. The filly is thirsty, she used up the last of the drinks.
Just then, Diamond spots a drinking fountain nearby, this made her drool a bit. Water at last!
Diamond prepares to dash off to the fountain, but her flank got stuck right on her seat. She groans angrily, "Ugh! Stupid sticky stuff!"
The springs on her seat begins to pull as Diamond Tiara tries to get herself freed. The former bully screams as she is pulled right off her seat. Diamond Tiara eventually pulled forward, stretching as best as she could. She is almost to the fountain...
Of course, her seat soon pulled right out of place, sending it right back at Diamond and slamming her right into the bathroom hard.
"Oh, you wanted to go, Diamond?" Cookie Crumbles is heard from the bathroom, making Diamond groans in annoyance.

After a while, the family is done with their business as did Diamond, who took a sip of water before everyone left. No way is she going thirsty again!
As music plays on while the car goes on its way, Diamond sighs a bit, "So how long before we reached Whinny Land?"
"We got a road map, we could figure it out." Sweetie said as she took out a road map. Diamond smiles hopefully, maybe this way, she can find out how long before everyone could get to Whinny Land!
Diamond proceeds in opening the map and points at certain location, speaking, "All right, this is Ponyville...and there's Whinny Land. Here we are...in who knows where?" The filly flips the map, covering everyone in the car and causing it difficult for Hondo to see. "Now then, if we go due east along this footage road, then hang a left at heret, and jock north westerly along Route 647 for a couple dozen parsecs, we should end up at Whinny Land at..."
Diamond Tiara came out of the map, shouting, "A billion years!"
"Yeah, I know the way, Diamond, thanks." Hondo remarks dryly to Diamond Tiara. He knows how to get there, no need for the directions or calculations.

It was a dark and stormy night later on. As the car moves through a thunderstorm, someone is near the room, pointing out a hoof in hopes to hitchhiker. The vehicle almost hit the hitchhiker, but he moves out of the way in time.
Hondo stops the car as his wife peeks out, speaking in concern, "Oh, dear! We almost run over that poor creature! Why, he looks white as a sheet with fear. Perhaps we should give him a ride into town!"
The figure came over to the car. As thunder flashes, Diamond got a good look at the figure: it is a pale scarred griffin wearing a blue jacket, a white shirt, black shorts, and has silver claws. Diamond begins to gulp in fear, something is not right with him.
"Oh hey, pal! Want a lift?" Hondo ask happily as he opens the door, pointing to the back seat. "You can get in with the kids!"
The griffin growls as he got into the back seat, glaring at Diamond Tiara who was reading her comic. She nervously say, "Hey sir. Want to read?" The griffin growls at her some more. "Okay! Forget I ask!"
Soon the car drove off with the new passenger, on its way to Whinny Land...and most likely danger!
The car kept driving on as news flash started playing on the radio.
"Hello! This is Dent Brocktaur, on the latest report: a mad prisoner known as Mike Voorhees has recently escaped from the Manehattan Home for the Criminally Insane!" The reporter on the radio said. "He is a mad griffin and all ponies are asked to be on a lookout for him, keeping away from him at all times!"
"Mike Voorhees?" Sweetie asked in concern.
Diamond gave a nervous glance at the hitchhiker as Dent's voice continues, "When last sighted, he was wearing a blue jacket, a white shirt, black shorts and has golden claws!"
Diamond yelps as she looks at the figure while Dent made the description. On the claws though, she sighs in relief. This guy got silver claws, not golden ones.
"Oh wait, my bad. It's SILVER claws." Dent's voice said, correcting himself on the last part.
Diamond gasped in horror as she looked at the figure's claws. No, it can't be!
"Mama!" Diamond said fearfully as she fainted to the floor.
Then Diamond's eyes widened in terror as the reporter continued, "From what therapists said about him, Mike has a psychotic episode whenever he is around unicorns." Sure enough, the griffin gave an evil glare at the unicorns. "Any exposure to them will drive him off the deep end."
Sweetie gasped in fear at hearing this description as she turned to look at the pale griffin.
"Oh great." Diamond whimpers in fear. This griffin is insane!
The reporter adds, "If seen, contact the authorities by this number." Diamond didn't waste time in putting the phone number down, "555..."
But before Diamond can hear the last of the numbers, Cookie Crumbles turn the radio off, saying, "Honestly? Why do they put stuff like that on the radio at all?"
"You could've gotten that number down!" Sweetie exclaimed to Diamond fearfully, "That scary-looking griffin... is he who I think he is?"
"Err..." Diamond said nervously.
The griffin laughs evilly as he appears to be taking out something...a chainsaw. Mike Voorhees is here and he is pulling the cord, he is off the deep end.
"It's the...the...the..." Diamond screams out in terror then jumps onto Hondo Flanks's head. "YIKES!"
Hondo sighs in irritation as he put Diamond back into her seat, saying, "Come on, Diamond. No rough housing."
"Ugh, what a bad time to leave Maxin behind." Diamond Tiara whimpers a bit as she quickly take a cellphone, texting.
"What are you doing?" Sweetie ask her friend.
"Texting Silver, hopefully she can send some help! And send!" Diamond Tiara exclaims as she hit send to send her message.
"Unicorn, unicorn! Ha ha ha!" Mike laughs insanely some more.
"I hope she gets it..." Sweetie said worriedly.

It was a few minutes later...and there was no help or response from Silver Spoon. The two fillies look worried, no one is coming! And worst yet, Mike is almost done with his chainsaw ripping!
"Time for...UNICORN SLAUGHTER!!!" Mike laughs madly as he finally got his chainsaw on, the noises scream like mad.
The two fillies scream like mad as they dodge the mad griffin who is trying to chainsaw them all to death. Diamond screams out, "Mr. Flanks! Miss Crumbles, sir! Pal! HEEEELPPP!!!!"
Mike roars as he slashes at Sweetie who jumps and bumps into the backseat, dodging the attack in time. She screams out, "Daddy! Can't we stop?!"
"Fine!" Hondo, still unaware of what's going on, groans as he stops the car. "If you two wanna play outside, we can stop for a few seconds!"
"Thanks!" The two fillies yells out as they gallop out of the car with the griffin in hot pursue. He apparently is forgetting the parents and wants to get rid of the foals for now!
"Fillies, come out and pppplay!" Mike laughs madly as he looks around for the two fillies that is trying to escape him.
"You gotta catch us first, ugly!" Sweetie is heard from behind a rock, making Mike smirks wickedly as the griffin flew at where he heard the voice.
But upon going beyond the rock, Mike yelps as he hits a force field, causing him to lose his chainsaw as a result. As the griffin recovers, Diamond jumps up and hits him in the eyes, making him scream furiously.
"Now, Sweetie, now!" Diamond cries out to Sweetie.
Sweetie didn't waste time in using her magic to make a rope appear, using it to tie Mike Voorhees up, knocking him down. The rope is strong enough to keep the griffin detained and trapped. Mike hits the ground hard, struggling like mad.
"DEATH TO THE PONIES!" Mike screeches but Diamond quickly stuffed an apple in his mouth to shut him up.
Diamond, taking her cell phone out, didn't waste time in calling the Manehattan police. She mumbles, "Why the hay didn't I do this before?!" The filly waited until a voice is heard, "Yeah, police! We got Mike Voorhee gift-wrapped up for ya in the desert. Just find a signal in the sky and you'll find her."
Sweetie quickly fire up a spark, making a big signal for the Manehattan police. That should be enough for the police to find the criminal. Once Diamond hangs up, the two fillies rushed back into the car.
"Well, you two done?" Hondo ask the two fillies, playfully and still unaware of what happened. "And where's our griffin friend?"
"Oh, he remembered that he can fly so he's going on on his own." Sweetie said quickly, closing the door. "Go, go, go, go!"
"All right, all right!"
Hondo drives off, unknowingly leaving the tied up and angry Mike in the desert, struggling and left behind for the police to find. In the car, Cookie Crumbles sighs a bit, "What a nice man...in a way I can't figure out yet."
"So you okay?" Sweetie ask Diamond, wondering if she's all right after the close call with the maniac.
Diamond gave a sweet smile...then faints to the car floor.
It was a few minutes later as Diamond recovers with Sweetie's help. The filly couldn't believe that she almost survive that mad griffin that almost slaughter her and Sweetie. And worst yet, the family and her isn't even at Whinny Land yet!
"I don't know how long I will be able to survive." Diamond mumbles, shivering a bit.
"Well, relax, because good news..." Sweetie said with an excited smile. "We're there!"
Diamond gasps as she looks out the window. Yes, there it is! Whinny Land, coming right up! They're actually here, at last!
"Yes, yes, we're here, yes!" Diamond laughs as she begins to kiss everyone, even her friend.
Once the vehicle got in through the entrance, parking in a parking lot. Everyone got out as Hondo got the camera ready. He laughs, "All right, say hay!"
"Hay!" Everyone exclaims as the picture was taken.
"I haven't seen a parking lot this big." Cookie Crumbles giggles in delight as everyone heads to the park.
"I know. Rarity told me all her time here." Sweetie exclaims with a happy smile.
"I cannot wait to go on every ride until I pass out!" Diamond Tiara exclaims with a happy squee.
"Hang on, we need to capture this moment." Hondo laughs as he grabs Diamond before she could gallop off. The father spots a worker who is directing a car to another area. He gives the camera to him as he continues, "All right, young pony, how about some few pictures of us?"
The worker looks bewildered but he tries his best to work the camera as the group got together to pose. He ends up going through the wrong side but eventually got the whole thing right.
"Hang on, almost forgot our hats." Hondo chuckles as the group took out some caps, putting it on themselves. "All right, hay!"
"Hay!" The family exclaims as the worker took pictures of them.
"Thanks! Come on!"
Everyone laughs as they head up to the front of the park. Diamond gave a wide smile, for someone who used to be a bully. She waited all this time and now she's here.
Diamond looks at the map of Whinny Land as everyone got onto the escalator that goes up to some sort of monorail which everypony got on.
Once everyone got into the monorail, they sat down and enjoy the ride, going on the rails around the park. Diamond smiles as she looks at the rides throughout the park, there are so many, it's hard to pick what to go on first!
"Oh yeah! This is great!" Diamond giggles as she applauds excitedly. "I can't wait to go on every ride!"
"Too bad we can only go on one like the monorail." Sweetie said with a sigh, much to Diamond's concern.
"What do you mean?"
"Remember, we didn't bring much money." Cookie Crumbles reminds Diamond with a sigh. "Riding on the ride cost extra so we can only go on one ride and that's it."
Hondo comment, "We don't mind going on EVERY ride when we get here, because there is ALWAYS AT LEAST three new attractions every year, which gives us a lot to look forward to next time."
"We just can't."
As the monorail finishes its tour, everypony got off. Diamond frowns a bit. No way is she coming here just to not ride anything else!
"Not a chance!" Diamond exclaims sternly to Sweetie's family. "I came here to ride more rides and I ain't leaving without having a great time! I ain't letting you all be left out of the fun. Luckily, I still got my card, so how about it?"
The family pauses to do some thinking. Will they even accept Diamond's invite?

"YAHOOO!" The family cheers as they rode the roller coaster, going through some loops.
And so, they decided to do so anyway: spend the day at the park and ride on every ride in the park.
"Oh yeah." Sweetie said with a smile. "This is a good idea!"
Hondo chuckles, but begins to yelps a bit, getting a bit sick.
A while later, Hondo came out of the restroom, having done his..."pukey business". But when Cookie Crumbles offer him some food, the stallion begins to to turn green before rushing back in.
A while later, the family attends the Haunted Stable, getting a bit scared by the ghost citizens.
"You know, ponies are dying to get in here." A dark voice booms throughout the area, laughing insanely.
"Yeah, I've heard that one." Diamond mumbles, shivering and wanting to hide.
"Oh, man!" Sweetie whimpered.
A while later, in the City Bear Disco, the family dances along to the disco band.
"Oh yeah! Baby! I'm the king of disco! Yeah!" Hondo laughs as he swings and sings...but upon jumping up and landing, he yelps as a crack is heard. "Aw, darn! Broke my back!"
"You're still the king, hon." Cookie Crumbles giggles as she help her husband.
Now at the Rainforest Yacht Club, the fillies cheers out while riding in some sort of jungle yacht, "Whinny Land!"
"Gah!" Diamond was interrupted when a robot hippo came out, shooting out water at her face.
"Fake it, you're all wet, dearie." Hondo chuckles to Diamond who roll her eyes while drying herself off.
"Yeah, yeah." Diamond remarks with a frown.
Diamond and the family are now in a boat in the Pirates of the Carriagebean ride, going past prop pirates and animatronics.
"Yo ho, yo ho, Whinnyland!" The four ponies exclaims eagerly at the ride.
"Didn't you get to meet pirates one time, Sweetie?" Diamond ask Sweetie, recalling how the filly once met pirates long before Discord and Nyx ever show up.
"Yep! Loved it!" Sweetie giggles to Diamond in delight.
"Then I believe you're in for a treat on this one!" Diamond remarked happily.
A while later, everyone is on a bench, eating some treats. Hondo laughs, "All right, just one more ride on "Nightmare Moon Mountain" before we hit the "Coltifornia Adventure" Ride."
"One more oat whip first." Cookie Crumbles mumbles, eating her treat.
"Then we get to meet Wilhelm Wombat and Elmer Eagle, right?" Sweetie ask, squeeing in delight.
"You got it!" Diamond replied with a grin as she winked.

It took two hours later as the family begins to leave the park with their souvenirs and prizes.
"Well, gotta admit, Diamond, it was a good idea to bring you along after all." Hondo said with a smile. "And I used to think all your good nature is just talk."
"Well, I'm glad you brought me along, Mr. Flanks." Diamond said happily, "Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Silver Spoon and the rest of the foals back in Equestria will be SO JEALOUS!" She said the last two words in a cute squeal while giving a squeaky grin.
"Oh dear." Cookie Crumbles said in concern, noting the size of the car. "We must've brought a lot of stuff. How will we get this in?"
An alarm is heard, startling everyone. A pony in a suit came up, smiling as he exclaims, "Congratulations! You are our 1,000,000,000th family to visit Whinny Land!"
"Really?!" The family gasps in surprise.
"Yes, and as a prize: a prop from one of Wilhelm Wolmbat's earlier cartoons!" The pony exclaims happily as a prop wagon is pushed right to the back of the cartoon. "With infinite room to fit all your stuff!"
"Are you serious?!" Diamond asked in shock and excitement.
"Serious since the day I was born!" The pony exclaims proudly.
"Well, looks like we got your answer solved, honey!" Hondo laughs before dumping the stuff onto Diamond. "Diamond? Be a dear and get this stuff into the back!"
"You bought it, may as well store it." Cookie Crumbles said happily as she and her husband got into the back. Diamond groans out in despair. All that and she gotta do this?
"No worries, I will help." Sweetie said to Diamond, giving out a wink to her friend.
"Oh, thank you so much, Sweetie Belle!" Diamond exclaimed in relief, glad that she wouldn't have to put EVERYTHING into that prop wagon at the back of the car by herself, since she had Sweetie for help with her unicorn magic.

It was a few days later as Diamond, Sweetie and the family finally return to Ponyville. They have a great time of their life! Granted, there has been some sore spots (mostly for Diamond) but otherwise, it was a great trip.
"Wow, I gotta admit, that trip was great." Sweetie squeals in delight. She gave a frown while adding, "Too bad it's almost the end of summer."
Diamond comment, "Well, I will admit the trip started out bad, and got even worse when that crazed hitchhiker showed up. Still, in the end, it still turned out all right."
Sweetie admit, "Yeah. The day at the park made it all worthwhile. And, I will admit the reward you and I got for capturing that lunatic was certainly a nice touch. Even split fifty-fifty, five thousand bits certainly buys a fair number of nice presents for loved ones AND still has some left over for the college fund."
"As long as he stays clear of me the next time, I hope!"
"Hey Diamond, Sweetie." A familiar voice spoke up. The two turns to see Silver Spoon trotting up. "Did you enjoy your summer off so far?"
"Yeah, we got a big story to tell ya." Sweetie remarks with a slight chuckle. "Involving road games, a tunnel, a rest stop, and a mad hitchhiker."
"Yeah, I send ya a text message. Did you get it?" Diamond ask her best friend, concerned as to why Silver Spoon didn't response or send help.
Silver Spoon comment, "Sorry I couldn't respond to your text, Diamond, but Riff slapped away my smart phone before I had a chance to. And Nyx, Pipsqueak and Scootaloo were too pre-occupied helping me against Riff and his gang to be in any position to help YOU."
"Ugh. Of course, I should've known!"
"Well, anyway, I came by because it's almost time for my mom's birthday! Wanna come?"
The two fillies look at each other and smile, saying at the same time, "Yeah!"
After what they dealt with, a birthday party is a great way to end things!
