Chapter 1
The wind howls on this cold dark night, almost no one is outside. But what would one expect in the height of winter.
In the concert hall, you can her soft, slow hoofsteps on the wooden floor. The figure wears a white cloak. She walks into a room, the grand piano facing her. She opens it and runs her hoof over the cold keys. She sits and she plays. She smiles and she sings,

Roseluck was just running an errand for her sisters and was ready to turn in for the night. She heard the voice on the wind and before she knew it she was at the concert hall. When her apparent trance had ended she was just able to duck as the musician turned to leave. When she looked back up the room was empty. "That was stupid. I wanted to know who it was." she says to herself. "Wait, why am I whispering?" She shakes her head and was about to leave until she noticed a very familiar streak in the sky and passed out.

Daisy and Lily became very worried when their sister wasn't there at bedtime, and they fainted three times when they realized that she still wasn't there in the morning.
"Lily?"
"Yeah Daisy?"
"Do you think we should go look for her?"
"I don't know."
They went about their morning routine, which just so happened to include fainting at every scary thing in their house. When they had finished their morning routine, they started to pack some winter blooming flowers from their greenhouse.
"Hey Lily?"
"Yeah Daisy?"
"How about now"
Lily looks over the perfectly plucked flower in her hoof before saying, "Mmm, okay."
At that they put down the flowers, put on their winter clothes and headed outside. After searching the entire two foot radius they promptly gave up, deciding she'll come when she feels like it. Blossom Forte spots the two who were looking pretty exhausted.
"Hi Lily. Hi Daisy." she greets
"Hey Blossom Forte." they say in unison
"You two sure look tired."
"Roseluck went missing last night!!" Lily exclaimed
"We've been looking everywhere for her!!" Daisy joins
Blossom Forte backs up slightly, before replying, "Did you check the hospital?"
The two gasp at this.
"Oookay then." Blossom Forte raises a brow before continuing, "You three faint alot. Somepony said it looked like she fainted in the snow or something"
This prompted the two to faint with Lily screaming "The horror, the horror"
"Yeah, see you guys." Blossom Forte says before flying away
When they came to they decided that they would make that terrifying journey to the ...hospital. Their excessive over dramatic fainting greeted by eye rolls every step of the way.
Currently Roseluck just stared blankly out the window of the hospital room, she didn't even realize when her sisters came into the room.
"Roseluck!!" They exclaimed running up to her.
She turned to them her expression blank and unreadable. "Oh hey guys." she greeted them and tried to smile. Her sisters are completely shocked by her behaviour "Nurse Redheart can I go home now?"
"That's fine as long as you get some rest. You have quite the cold from sleeping all night in the snow."
"Okay." she gets up and heads out.
"Nurse are you sure she's alright?" Daisy asks.
"Yeah did you check her for concussions or anything." Lily pipes in.
"I did, she's perfectly fine, but it seems something really shocked her last night."
"Really?" Lily says as the two shared a look of concern. The sisters shrug say good bye to the nurse and leave the room. They see their sister waiting outside and they leave together. Once they are out of the hospital. They start to talk.
"Soo.." Daisy says. Roseluck raises a brow.
"Nurse Redheart said something must've really left you in shock." Lily says then puts on an apologetic grin.
"Yeah that." Daisy says glaring at Lily. "So what happened?"
"I don't really know? I heard this really sad song and I sort of followed it and I pretty much fainted when I saw who was singing it."
"Really?" Daisy asks.
"Who was it?" Lily probes as well.
"I don't think I should really tell you two. The song sounded personal and I'm pretty sure if somepony does something in the middle of the night as far away as they get from anypony else they'd want it to stay a secret." Roseluck explains, Her sisters look upset. "Anyway shouldn't we be opening the flower stall now?" The two gasp and start to run. Roseluck smiles at her two sisters, then her mind wonders back to the streak in the night sky. "Why?" she whispers under her breath before she runs to catch up with her sisters.

Roseluck has a high fever so her sisters leave her at home to rest, but she can't rest, not when that pony was all she could think of. She sighs, gets up and looks out the window. She sees some pegasi flying around and quickly becomes bored. As she turns to leave she hears snoring. She looks back out the window and notices a snoring cloud floating lazily in the sky. A glimpse of a rainbow tail told her exactly why it was snoring.
"Hey Rainbow Dash!" she called out.
The snoring stopped and sure enough the rainbow maned mare poked her head though the cloud. "Oh, 'sup Rose." Rainbow Dash greets before flying down to greet her. "I thought the flower stall was open today?"
"It is, I fainted in the snow and caught a cold."
"Oh, bummer. Well get well soon." she was about to fly away when
"Wait..." she stopped and turned Roseluck, who started blushing.
"Yeah" she says with a brow raised.
"Sorry. It's just that,.. um last night I heard some music and I followed it and when it was finished and the pony left I thought I saw you flying from the concert hall." her blush got deeper. Rainbow Dash on the other hoof looked more than a little nervous.
"You heard me singing last night." she steps back, "And now you probably think and weird and will tell everypony and..." at this point she was hyperventilating. Roseluck was taken aback by this and stops her by placing a hoof on her shoulder.
"Rainbow Dash why would I think you were weird because of that?"
Rainbow Dash looked shocked, "You didn't mind it?"
"Not really. I thought it was beautiful."
Rainbow Dash smiles at this.
"Why would you think I wouldn't like it?" Roseluck is still trying to make sense of the sudden shift in behaviour of one of the toughest ponies in town.
"Well, you see. When I was little my parents thought me how to play musical instruments, but everytime they made their friends listen to it they started to act weird. They told me I shouldn't play near anyone, so I started singing in my talking voice, because nopony really knew the difference."
"Well I thought you singing was beautiful, but if you really don't want anypony to know, your secret is safe with me."
"Thanks." Rainbow Dash says. They say there good byes and Rainbow Dash flies off. Roseluck bites her lip as she sees her fly away. When she is gone from view Roseluck whispers under her breath, "I know what your voice does to ponies."
