Twilight Sparkle looked at the building in front of her. It was large, white, and had the most advanced technology. The yard outside was decorated nicely with giant trees and shrubbery. Twilight took another step forward pausing at the large gate succeeded by a fence that surrounded the building. She looked behind her and saw the limo that brought her here drive off. She gripped her suitcase tighter and opened the gate. She continued walking until reaching the marble fountain. She looked at herself in the water.

"Now remember Twilight," she told her reflection, "you're to earn the grand prize and be able to attend any college of your choosing and don't let anything anyone else says get in the way of that." Taking a deep breath she marched into the house ready for whatever it and the other residents had to offer.

Twilight didn't know what she was expecting when she walked in but it certainly wasn't this; no one seemed to be inside at all. According to the show description there was suppose to sixteen teenagers, including herself, living here and Twilight was sure that at least someone else would have arrived already. She placed down her suitcase and the decided to look around.

Twilight Sparkle, please head to the common room, an intercom voice said before Twilight was able to get a decent look around, by her standers, look at the place.

Obeying the voice's orders Twilight began looking for the common room specified by it. Looking around she noticed quickly that one door had the words Common Room written in big bold letters on it. Opening it she saw the other fifteen contestants all sitting on chairs arranged in a circle.

"It's about time," someone snickered under their breath. Twilight ignore it and quietly took the last empty seat between two boys.

"Hello contestants," an adult voice greeted as the T.V. turned on, revealing two adult women, "and welcome to Under the Same Roof. My name is Celestia and this is my younger sister Luna."

"I can't believe it's them," one female contestant fangirled,

"Neither can I," the male contestant next to her squealed.

"Now," Ceslestia continued, "for the next year the sixteen of you will be living with each other while cameras will be watching your every move. By the end of the year one of you will leave here with half a million dollars, in the meantime you will be able to earn other prizes, including a lesser amount of cash, a trip, and secret prizes."

"Before we officially begin the completion," Luna began, "let's go over the rules."

"Whoopi," one of the guys next to Twilight sarcastically cheered.

"First, while we do except some fights breaking out, physical violence will not be tolerated and result in penalties. Second all of you are allowed to leave the house and explore the town but anyone caught going anywhere or doing anything illegal, an example being going to a bar and drinking alcohol, will be kicked out of the competition. Third any sexual acts between any contestants will not be tolerated. Finally no one besides the show's crew members and contestants are allowed to enter the house. For other rules and answers to an questions each of you will receive a rule book."

"To start the show we shall begin with introductions there is a card with instructions in front of you. Have fun contestants and remember good luck."

Good Luck. Those words echoed in Twilight's mind. Hearing Celestia's voice say those words before the screen faded to black made her feel a warm feeling inside. She wanted to relax and think back more but was interrupted by the cough of another contest grabbing the other's attention.

"Well here now," a girl contestant with a blond ponytail started holding an index card, "it says on this here card to state your name, what would like to do for a career, and one fun fact about yourself."

The girl looked around, no one moved.

"I guess I'm starting then." She clear her throat. "Howdy, the name's Applejack, I want to help work on my family's apple farm after high school, and I my favorite pastime is competing in rodeos."

The boy on Applejack's left stood up. He look very similar to her and had dark orange hair. "Name's Big Macintosh. Big brother to Applejack and I have the same career path wish as her. Not much of a talker."

A girl with bright red and yellow hair stood up. "Uh hi, I'm Sunset Shimmer, I hope to be a author, and I can play guitar."

"Howdy I'm Braeburn," the next contestant had practically jumped out of his seat when Sunset sat down. "Let me just say this game is family affair with my cousins Big Mac and Applejack also competing. I hope to someday to be a great rodeo star. Yup me and my best friend, a rodeo clown named Troubleshoes are gonna make it big."

"Greetings," the girl who fangirled when seeing Celestia and Luna stood up. "My name is Rarity and hope to make it big in the fashion scene by opening a boutique in Canterlot Square. I also have the most adorable cat named Opalescence or Opal."

"Oh my gosh guys," the squealer stood up. "I can't believe I'm here! Well, I'm Trenderhoof, an aspiring blogger, owner of the blog That's Trendy, and expert on all things trendy now or future. Also I have..."

"Okay I'm Rainbow," the girl next to Trenderhoof interrupted.

"I wasn't finished yet." Trenderhoof complained.

"Well you were taking to long." She glared at Trenderhoof until he sat down. "Okay as I was saying, I'm Rainbow Dash and I hope to become a member of the Wonderbolts, the most elite Airplane Flight shows in the world!"

The blue haired boy next to Rainbow Dash stood up. "I'm Soarin and I actually work at the Wonderbolt headquarters as an intern."

"Lucky, no way!"

"Yes way."

Soarin sat down and immeditaly a mass of curly pink hair bounced up. "Hi everyone I'm Pinkie Pie and I hope to be a super duper party planner when I grow up."

"Seriously?" the guy next to Pinkie asked in shock.

"Absolutely positilutely." Pinkie answered with a big smile.

"Cause that's what I want to be too."

"No way what's your name?"

The boy stood up. "That name's Cheese Sandwich. You can call me Cheese if you want." Cheese Sandwich held out his hand.

"It's nice to meet you Cheese." Pinkie took his hand.

The two sat down and a girl hesitantly stood up. "Uh I'm Fluttershy. I hope to work with animals someday and own my own rescue sanctuary." Fluttershy immediately sat down with her long pink hair covering most of her face.

"What's up I'm Flash Sentry," the boy in between Futtershy and Twilight stood up, "I hope to be in world famous band playing my guitar and I write my own songs."

Twilight took a deep breath and stood up, during this time she calculated what the prefect thing was for her to say, "My name is Twilight Sparkle, I hope to be a Physicist at a top university and hopefully win the Noble Prize."

The next guy stood up and laughed. "Are really doing this?"

Everyone just stared him awkwardly.

"Well I guess we are. The name's Discord. Plans for the future, pssh yeah right like I'm telling you that. Something about me. HA! I'll just tell you I like to have fun."

"Well he seems like a nice guy," Rainbow Dash whispered to Soarin.

"At least there's no chance that you're sharing a room with him." Sorin whispered to her with a nervous look on her face.

"Well aren't we a nice bunch," a next female contestant said, "I am Starlight Glimmer. I dream of being the mayor of my hometown and bring it to peace and harmony. Oh how hope we all can be friends." Starlight gave a smile while ignoring a shutter from Pinkie.

"Hello there I'm Double Diamond," the final contest introduced. "I hope to assist my beloved girlfriend friend Starlight in her dream to become mayor."

"But do you have a goal of your own?" Pinkie asked.

"Of course and it's to be Starlight's assistant." Double Diamond responded causing Pinkie to give him a confused look.

Double Diamond sat down and the sixteen looked around at each hoping to beat the others and secure their win.
