If you have something to say that is trying to correct me, don't. Leave it to yourself. I just want the people who want to follow and read it, love and enjoy it, not new people come and change what has been written. Twilight had been having a rough time with Rainbow Dash. She had taken a heart break in the past year, with the famous Soarin’ from the Wonder-Bolts. ~Flashback~ “Hey Rainbow?” Soarin’ said, looked at Rainbow Dash with urgency. She was worried, their relationship has been spiraling to the ground for the past two weeks after dinner at Soarin’s parents was a complete disaster. They had disowned him, causing him into a rut with Rainbow Dash, because she was the problem. His parents had wanted him to be married to one of his co-workers, for a easier relationship because of all the trips they take, instead of traveling back on his down time. She felt that she would maybe have to break it off herself, because Soarin’ was going to crash and burn at this rate. “Yes hun?” She replied, looking away from a book that was lying out on the table: The History of Equestria’s Best Fliers. Soarin’ bracing himself for what he was going to say, alerted Rainbow to put her guard on. “I think it would be best.. If we.. You know.. Broke up?” He said, with a tears streaming down his face. Even then, Rainbow couldn’t keep it up, it tore her to pieces, a broken mess. She flew off as fast as she could, trying to escape making a scene, but a huge rainbow trail and rain falling down from it, alerting everypony that she was sad. The first place she saw was Twilight’s house, causing her to slow down and stop there. The lights were still on, so she went and knocked on the door as fast as she could, making Spike rush over to the door to let in whoever it was. Rainbow rushed in after the door opened, and closed it behind her, to continue her rush. Getting up to stairs, she crashed into Twilight, knocking both of then onto the ground. “Woha. What’s all the racket Rainbow? I saw the trail of tears falling from the sky. Is something the matter? Was it with Soarin’?” Twilight said, holding her friend to comfort her. Rainbow wiped her tears, and sat up to explain the events that had happen in the past few weeks. After a rough few hours of story telling, Twilight had felt like a therapist by then. “.. And so that’s how it happened..” Rainbow finished, hugging onto Twilight, a little cheered up for Twilight to listen to her problems. She let go, so Twilight could bring over some water for them to drink. After a few minutes of silence, she had to break it. “Do you need to come over more to have some help? I’ve apparently became the “go to” person for therapy and stuff like this. I’m usually free on Tuesday’s and Thursdays.” She asked her cyan friend. Nodding in response, she gave another hug to make sure she could make it back home without causing a scene. “Ya.. I would like that.. Thanks Twilight, your the best.” Rainbow said, before flying slowly out the window to her house. The compliment flattered Twilight in a odd fashion, but she didn’t really care, she liked compliments for all the hard work she has to do to keep the town folk sane at times, keeping her busy. For the next month, Twilight had been keeping up with Rainbows troubles, and she started to come less and less, lightening her work load every week. After Rainbow disappearing for a few weeks, a terrible storm was cause and she had so happened to be near Twilight’s house. Walking in, she ran into her moving books into a stack, and moving them up the stairs, not noticing her. Rainbow followed to find Twilight crashed in bed, tired from her day, she sat down next to her bed, admiring Twilight. She had seen her so much in the past month, she had grown on her. Her looks, style, personality, etc. She felt ready to go back into the dating world, but, she needed one more session with Twilight. But this time, she would make it count. But, something held her back, she wanted to keep coming back to Twilight, but she had no more problems to discuss because she had gotten over all of them. Maybe she could make a problem herself? No.. Too risky. Twilight grumbled and rolled over because the presence of another pony in the room was driving her crazy. She saw Rainbow looking at the ceiling, thinking to herself. “R-Rainbow? What are you doing here?” She asked with a sleep induced voice. Snapping back into reality, she had to speak up. “S-Sorry Twilight. The rain was hitting on my castle too hard, I had to go somewhere to stay under. Is it fine if I stay here?” “Y-Yeah.. You can join me in my bed if you want..” Twilight said willingly, not even realizing what she was saying half the time. Rainbow shrugged and snuggled under the covers with her for a nap. Tossing and turning, adjusting to a bed that wasn’t clouds for once, Twilight wrapped her arms around Rainbow, calming her down. She had made a move on her, blushing away from view. Twilight liked the extra warmth, and her emotions her drunk with passion, starting to fall for Rainbow. Maybe a start of something new for the two, maybe they will continue to have, “sessions” for a while now. The rain was still going in the morning, making ponies stay in for the day, and to eat their own food. Twilight opened her eyes to Rainbow in her face. Moving away, she looked outside, through the morning dew on the windows. A little gleam of light shot through the clouds and onto the blushing cyan pony next to her, from the crazy, but sleepy night. Not remembering a thing, she moved slowly out the bed, not to awake her friend and not watching her step, she stepped on a creaky plank, making a loud sound. Twilight cringed at the sound at her ears, but her friend did not wake. Sleeping like a boulder. She made her way down stairs to find Spike had moved out of the room for the night. He looked over at Twilight, trying not to alert her. “Spike? You awake?” She asked quietly. He stood up and stretched a little, but looked very tired when he spoke to Twilight. “That plank.. it woke me, but you and who ever is in your bed, made a bunch of racket last night. What was happening in there anyway?” “I-I honestly can not recall myself Spike.. I had been in a trance of sleep, just letting my brain do anything else, while I sleep.” “Huh.. Makes some sense..” He said, moving over to the kitchen, “Could I make you anything? Maybe you should go ask your friend if he or she wants anything also.” Twilight nodded and walked up stairs, to see Rainbow still asleep on her bed. “What in Celestia’s name did we do last night..” was the only thought that went through her head at this time. She walked over and nudged at her friend, trying to see if she would awake. Not budging, she had to get her up somehow. She pulled the sheet and Rainbow fell to the ground, waking her up instantly. “Who-What-When-Wher-.. Hey Twi.. When did I get here?” She said, startled at her presence. "I was hoping you could tell me. Your the one that woke up in my bed.. I think you were blushing." Twilight's words had triggered Rainbows mind to click back into place, making her realize her mistake. "Uhh.. I don't really remember myself Twi.." Rainbow lied, knowing her actions had spoken louder than words. "So you have no clue what happened at all? I can delve into your mind to find out you know Rainbow." Twilight threatened. Rainbow was in the midst of midlife crisis, but couldn't solve it. She could run for it, but that wouldn't solve anything, but prove that Twilight that she was lying, she could tell the truth and face the consequences, or just refuse to say anything. She had to come clean.. "Well.. The other night, the rain kind of had to make me get out my house, and I was close by here, so I came in. You ignored me and went and crashed up stairs. After a few moments, you invited me into your bed, and uhh.. Yeah..." "Dear Celestia.. We got intimate last night? Is that why my muscles are sore? Well.. That's fine Dash.. It's fine to explore YOUR feelings." "Your the one who invited me into the bed.." Twilight cringed again at that. She had been the one who made the move. What else could she had done, force Rainbow back into the heavy rain? No, her feelings got the better of her. She would have to pony up, and face the world of dating. "Rainbow.. Would you like to go out sometime?" > Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Do you mean it?" Rainbow said, shocked at Twilight lashing out like that. She nodded her head in response, and started to walk down the stairs. "Let us just get some breakfest, that'll break the ice then Dashie." Twilight replied. Rainbow followed and noticed Spike whisper something to Twilight, then which she nodded in disagreement. She was worried that the rest of their friends would reject this relationship. "Yeah.. I'm not very hungry Spike.. Nothing for me." Rainbow said, pushing aside the pancakes infront of her. Twilight was looking worried, maybe she had triggered something in Rainbow for her to not eat. Hoping it's nothing too serrious, she set aside her worries for later. Spike sat down at the table with them, handing Twilight her usual meal; A grass and daisy sandwich. With the tension being tough at the table, Spike decided to speak up. "Uhh.. Rainbow, why were you in Twilights' room last night?" "SPIKE!" She slammed her hooves down on the table, "You promised not to say anything!" Twilight said, pushing him outside of the house, without any but's. "I-I'm sorry for Spike's actions there Rainbow.." Rainbow got up and nuzzled Twilight, letting her know she wasn't affected by the small escapade. Both smiling at each other, and the rain letting up, Rainbow walked out slowly, and relaxed, not something she does very often for her nature. After she left, Twilight looked at the table to plan out how this would work, she had never been with anypony else, and a mare for that matter. Celestia doesn't take too kind to those kinds of mares. She had recently let Octavia and Vinyl Scratch off the hook, but by a land slide. She brought over a book and a quill, to start writing down a plan. She would first have to hide her relationship with Rainbow for quite a while, to show Celestia that she's fine. If any of their friends found out, try to convince them not to run around telling everyone about it, and if do so, they would have to run away and live amist the shadows of every town, city, and everywhere else inbetween. Twilight closed her plan journal, and hid it under her bed. After taking a few minutes to destress from what had happened in the past few hours, she let Spike inside, for a lecture, which he would not enjoy very well. After atleast a half hour after Twilight had given Spike her speech, he left the house in search of anything to help him out, to take down Twilight's relationship with Rainbow. Spike gathered his options; Rarity would be too understanding, Fluttershy hadn't liked Spike since he couldn't take care of her pets while she went to do a simple task in town, Applejack's too loyal to Twilight to betray her. Then he realized Pinkie Pie was the answer. If he could just get her to calm down for a moment, he could get her attention drawn to this. His best work of betrayal yet. Rainbow had flew to Cloudsdale to see her parents for a brief talk about her new relationship. With them being the most understanding ponies in her life, she knew it was safe to tell them. She had reached their little house on the corner, where she had grown up in, until leaving to the Young Fliers Camp. She walked in to see her dad snoozing on the couch in the living room, and her mom cooking lunch for him. "Mom? Dad? Can I speak to you in the living room for a moment. This will only take a few minutes." Rainbow shoutted across the house. The waking dad sat up and the mom came to sit next to them. "What is it Rainbow?" Her mom said, looking worried and holding onto her husband right next to her. "I-I'm in a relationship with another mare.. I came to tell you guys, because you guys wouldn't tell Celestia, right? You guys understand love more than me." "Well ofcourse Rainbow. We wouldn't tell anyone that could get you in trouble. isn't that right dear?" The mom said, talking to her husband. "Ofcourse. We love you Rainbow, and for whatever you want, is best for you." said her dad. Rainbow felt at ease after that, and left the house after hugging her parents and waving good bye as she flew back to Ponyvile. Flying over hang, Spike saw her while walking his way to Sugercube Corner. "You will be brought down Rainbow.. I'm Twilights true love.. You must not interupt that.." He muttered to himself. Walking in, the door rang a bell and Pinkie Pie had been waiting for a customer to come in. "Heya Spike! What brings you here, is it some treats for Twilight, or a hot date. I can whip something right up for you!" she said excietedly, even knowing her dad had past away not too recently. 'Nice to see her in a good mood.' Spike thought to himself. He spaced out for a moment until Pinkie Pie knocked him in the head, bringing him back to reality. "Spike? Are you okay?" She said, giggling. "Yeah.. I would like your help if I may ask." "Sure, for what?" She said, calming herself down a little to listen to Spike. "Rainbow Dash and Twilight are in a relationship, against Celestia's laws.." He said, looking at her with determination, "Can you tell her? Twilight is my love, and I won't have Rainbow stealing it." Pinkie Pie nodded, agreeing to work with Spike, to bring them down. He left Pinkie Pie to think about how she could tell Celestia, or if she SHOULD tell her. Thinking about it, maybe Spike was trying to get rid of Rainbow so there's no chance of anyone messing with Twilight. Pinkie decided to not tell, and to avoid Spike at any cost.. But she needed to tell Twilight about what Spike had tried to do. She closed shop for the day, trying to fool everyone that it was a holiday, she galloped as fast as she could to Twilights house. She turned the corner and crashed into her. Shaking her head, she helped Twilight get up. "Oh hey Pinkie, what's the rush?" Twilight said, with a smile on her face. "Spike's trying to ruin your relationship with Rainbow!" Pinkie replied. Twilights jaw dropped, shocked that her assistant would betray her like that. She used her magic to pin-point Spikes location. Noticing he was boarding a carriage to Canterlot, without Twilights permission, she ran to find Rainbow at a near-by diner. Running in, she grabbed Rainbow without words and ran out, Pinkie waiting outside. "Woha! Twilight, what's up?" She said, looking around, noticing her surroundings. Twilight brought up her magic to show where Spike was heading, and Rainbow grew rage within the very moment. Twilight hopped on her back and flew off, Pinkie running as fast as she could to keep up. In the sky, Twilight looked below and saw Spikes carriage, and pointed her front right hoof down to Spike. Rainbow flew low the ground, and Twilight rolled off onto the ground, hurting herself. Rainbow flashed right through the carriage, destroying it in one sweep. Spike was knocked out of the carriage and hit a rock with his head, knocking him out. The two earth ponies that where moving the carriage had fainted from all the comotion that had just unraveled. Twilight, got up slowly, with hazy eyes, looking at the destruction her partner had caused. She had wobbly legs, hard to balance, she walked over to see Spike hurt, she threw him up on her shoulders, and walked back into town to the hospital, with Rainbow trailing behind. Spike was rushed to the E.R room for he head injury. Rainbow and Twilight were in the waiting room, holding onto each other, with no one else around to see them. Soon a nurse came out to tell them the news. "He has serve head trauma. He probably won't remember anything that had happened in the past week or so." The young nurse said. Twilight nodded and looked at Rainbow, who had scratches and marks all over her from the carriage hit. "This might be a new chance for us to shape him into what we want him to do. So he doesn't do anything like this again. Agreed?" Rainbow said, nuzzling her mare friend. Twilight looked worried, but relieved at her partners idea. "Agreed, my dear.." > Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- This chapter will be quite fast, so please keep up with it. Rubbing his head, he saw some food next to him. "T-Twilight? What happened?" Spike said, looking around. Twilight sighed and couldn't help but smile at him. Still confused, he started to eat the pre-made sandwich next to him. She walked out the room, leaving him to get used to his surroundings. "He's fine.. He'll make a full recovery Dash." Twilight said, nuzzling her mare friend slightly. She smiled in response, handing her a book with her mouth. Twilight levitated it in front of her, taking note of how rare it was: The Magics of Mind Alteration. "It's also a first edition!" Rainbow said, making Twilight's eyes gleam with a sparkling glow. She took the book off and ran out of the hospital, saying no word to anypony else. Rainbow sighed and entered Spikes room, where he had just finished his meal. He glanced over and saw Rainbow, and couldn't help but feel nervous around her. "Hey Spike? I heard you hit your head, sorry to hear.. Do you remember anything?" She asked him, trying to not blow her cover. Spike nodded no. Rainbow sighed in relief, and patted him on the head. Spike smiled as Rainbow left the room to go find Twilight. Flying into the sky, she looked at the sun lowering, and the moon rising, with the stars above. "Twilight loves those stars.. Spike isn't here.. She's all mine!" She thought to herself. Happy at the thought, she flew her way gracefully, and a little slower than usual to her partners house. A few minutes later, she arrived and saw Twilight on the balcony, face deep in the book. Rainbow made a slight tap-tap when landing behind her silently, not to disturb her. She snuck up on her, and tackled hugged her. Twilight giggled and kisses Rainbow on the nose, making both of the mares blush, looking at each others faces. They snuggled closer, but Twilight nudged Rainbow, and looked at the book, it was for their saftey after all. Twilight rolled onto her belly, and Rainbow snuggled right next to her. "Oh Rainbow.. Your so sweet.." Twilight said, smiling at her. Rainbow blushed and nuzzled her on the neck to show her affection. Twilight nodded at her and looked back to the book, trying to focus. Rainbow got up and went inside to lay on Twilights bed. Snuggling into it, she messed up the covers, tossing and turning in bed, to get comfortable. About three hours later, Rainbow was asleep and Twilight put her book away. She walked over and saw her partner in bed, not wanting to budge. Ignoring the messed up covers, she climbed into the sheets and snuggled with her mare friend, falling into a deep sleep. The afternoon sun rose and it woke Twilight when the beams hit her face. Opening her eyes, everything was blurry, but she managed to get out of bed, without disturbing her partner. Rainbow had been sleeping like a rock for ages, but Twilight thought this was a great time to get a head start on break-fest. "Ah.. I love the weekend.. I've looked forward to making this meal for a while. Spike shouldn't leave his books around." Twilight said to herself, and smiled. She turned on the stove, and started cooking eggs and bread. Upstairs, Rainbow smelled the food, waking her up slightly. She rubbed her eyes with her front hooves to see clearly, and got up from the bed. Walking down the stairs, wobbling a little from standing up too fast. She saw Twilight standing over the stove, moving the meal over onto two plates. Not making any noise, she made it over to a seat at the table. Twilight turned around to see her friend already at the table, staring at her. Blushing slightly, she levitated both their dishes to their seats. Sitting down, she couldn't help but to keep looking at Rainbow. Slowly, they started eating their breakfast and began to chat. "So.. Did you learn the spell to 'brain wash' Spike." Rainbow asked, with a mouth full of food. Twilight ignored the rudeness, but smiled back. "Yes. I've never attempted this spell before.. So I hope I can pull it off.." she said, worried that something could hurt them. Rainbow looked at her, like a hero, sparkles in her eyes, she knew her partner was ready. Later, the two visited Spikes hospital room, and peered in, Twilight walked in first, smiling at him. He threw a wave as Rainbow followed Twilight in. She closed the door, and nuzzled Twilight, for good luck. She felt Rainbows love, making her confident, about the spell. Her horn gleamed brightly with her magic, and aimed it at Spike. His jaw dropped in awe as the spell went around his head like flys, interweaving with each other, before disappearing into his head. He blacked out momentarily, before waking back up. "S-Spike? Are you okay?" Twilight said, holding onto Rainbows hoof. Spike hesitated to speak, seeing their hooves interweaving, before smiling at them. He hoped off the hospital bed, and looked at both of them. "How cute, but must not tell Celestia!" Spike said, taking off his gown, and walking over to the door. "Your ready to leave?" Rainbow asked, worried about his condition. Spike nodded his head up and down. As they left, they acted casual, as to not draw any attention. When they reached the house, Spike started locking doors behind them with a worried look on his face. Twilight wanted to find out his cause, but she was drug off by Rainbow upstairs. After a few minutes of being gone, Spike picked up the local news paper, with the headline: Carriage destroyed and dragon missing. Curious to why it said dragon, Spike thought it was a typo, but no. It was his carriage! He ran upstairs to pull on Twilight's leg to gain her attention. "Spike? What is that your have there?" she asked, being shown the article. He face grew dark and scared. "No one has enough speed and power to destroy it but.." Spike said, looking at Rainbow Dash, "Dear Celestia.." Twilight was worried to what was going to unfold. Did the spell break? Did Spike get his memories back? to many questions going through her head, the letter was sent to Celestia immediatly from Spike. Rainbow had no time to sit around, she dashed out the window to gather all of their friends she could. Returning in a flash, Celestia was already there. They couldn't fight the princess, she could destroy them. "Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash. You guys have broken the partnership law, and you will be sent to Canterlot Prision fore-" Celestia was cut off by being hit by a bolt of dark energy. Why she was stunned, Twilight and Rainbow jumped out the window and tumbled to the ground. Twilight being hurt in the process, they continued to run to Rarity's Carousel Boutique. They had to hide, fast. She focused her magic to make a secret door open in the side of the building, which closed behind them after they went in. The stronghold of stone brick surrounded them, all down the stair case. They entered the Central Hub, located under her the shop. which was a giant circular room. Rarity was down there, awaiting their pressence. "Twilight! Rainbow!" Rarity threw both of them into a group hug. "How did you know?" Rainbow asked, getting no response, only to have a cloak thrown over her and Twilight. Similar to the one Luna had from Nightmare Night. But soon enough, she joined them in the Central Hub, unmasking her hood to reveal her face. "Lucky I was one step ahead of my sister. What she's doing is wrong Twilight, and I won't stand for that." Everyone nodded at each other and Twilight stuck close to Rainbow. Worried of what could happen. "We need to rally the rest of our friends so we can fight Celestia head on." Rarity said, and starting walking to a door which opened to a bunch of underground passage ways. The rest of the group followed behind her untill they came to a ladder. Rarity climbed up to the trap door, and opened it slowly, only to have Pinkie Pie jump down on top of her. Falling down a few feet, they got up okay and looked at each other. Pinkie was confused to why everyone was in a tunnel under her shop. "Pinkie." Rainbow said, "Are you willing to risk your life for us, even if it results in death?" Pinkie Pie's energetic attitude faded and she put a serious look on her face. Thinking about it, she trotted back and forth. This went on for seven minutes, until he got her answer. "Yes, but why?" "Because Twilight and I are in love.. Celestia wishes for us not to be, but we can't let her hold us back. "Okay.." Rarity gather the rest of their friends and they all met at the Central Hub. Luna walked in late as usual, hoping everyone was still alive whenever she got there. As her hope was given, Celestia was sending out every gaurd she could to search Equestria to look for them. She would find them at no cost, even if it meant destroying her sister in the process. Applejack threw a chest onto the circular table in the middle of the room for everypony to see. She opened it up to reveal weapons inside of it. Swords, daggers, spell books, it had it all. All the ponies her hesistant about using them for real, but Rainbow strapped on a belt and hid a sword in it, under her cloak, not for it to show. The rest of them took various things, looking at them once more, making their final choice to fight for friendship. "We must take a route to Canterlot on foot. Luna said, "But we must go at night, to not be seen by any gaurds or ponies who could be looking for us." Everypony nodded and they wondered around and chatted a bit. Twilight and Rainbow went off and found a bed, which they laid in together, cuddling for what could be the last time they ever do so. They were intruded upon by Fluttershy walking in, wanting to speak. "T-Twilight.. Rainbow.. I've grown up, I will protect you guys as best as I can." "Thank you Fluttershy, that means a lot to us." Twilight said with a small smile. Fluttershy bowed her way out to leave the both of them to rest. Night had over casted the sky and the group was ready to go. "Ok. Tonight is when we kill Celestia. We will take the throne as a better government and society. With fair rules and all." Luna said, who was sad if she would have to put down her own sister, one of her own flesh and blood, but one of the few rare alicorns that are in all of Equestria. But they could make more alicorns, as she put more thought into it. The group geared up and put on their hoods, and went outside into the dark, cloudy night. After two hours of running through the night with little breaks in between, they reached the foot hills of Canterlot. Luna stepped on a rock, which opened a secret passage way into her room, the door closing behind them after the group was in. They walked in a single file, quiet as night itself into Luna's suite. It was huge, but they had no time for sight seeing. Luna peaked out into the wall way to see nothing anywhere. "Three paths. We need to split up. Rainbow, Pinkie and I will take the left hallway." Twilight said. "Then Applejack, Fluttershy and I will go right." Rarity replied. "And I will go through the central passage." Luna said, "Good luck Elements, your going to need it." She went her ways, telling the groups to go their ways. They took one last look at each other, their friends, before leaving.
