When you are kidnapped and brought to Equestria 1000 years before the main 6 are born, what would you do?
At the age of 9, Adusk was kidnapped from his home by a mysterious force and thrust into Equestria where he was sought as an outcast by everyone except the royal family.
How will he fare when he grows up not knowing how to feel emotions again?
And when he is thrown into Tartarus when his older sister becomes corrupted?
It's hard to answer the question "What's wrong?" When nothing's right.
Have you ever felt pain in your life? Not when you hurt yourself, but mentally? Have you ever felt the cold sting of depression seep it's way into your happiness? Because I have. This is my story, of how I fell into depression. And how I threw myself into darkness.
Adusk's POV
2 hours before the 'accident'
I was awoken to birds chirping and tweeting outside marking the start of a new day. I slowly sat myself up in my broken bed and yawned softly. Today was the day I was finally going to become nine!
I slowly shifted myself to the side of my bed and slowly sat up, cracking my spine in progress sending delightful shivers up my spine. I slowly walked over to the bathroom down the hall and opened the door.
I quickly threw off my stained jeans and fiddled with my shirt whilst stumbling towards the shower. Finally, my shirt came off and I could see clearly again. I slowly stepped in and fumbled with the nozzle until it was perfect. Then, the water blasted down onto my body causing me to sigh in relief. I slowly drifted my thoughts up to my parents but felt a wave of sadness wash over me. They would have loved to see me right now. I couldn't tell if I was crying or not, because the water was clouding and washing down my cheeks whilst blurring my vision.
I turned the nozzle to the left and slowly stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel from the rack whilst doing so. I started to slowly dry myself, combing my hair in the progress of it. I then looked to the left to find some neatly folded but ripped clothes on the table along with some red shoes with a white, horizontal stripe running down the middle. And also, a white ankle cushion that prevented blisters and sores. Shrugging, I took the clothes and started to pile them on me.
I had some black jeans with a blue and white chain at the side, a black undershirt, some brown leather gloves with blue fingertips and finally a blue sports jacket with many pockets and a black hood. I looked into the mirror and saw my black heap of emo hair with a purple line running through it. I covered my eyes from the light that was now shining in the window stinging my blue and green eyes before I pulled the blinds down causing the shining light that was shining in through the steamy bathroom's window to be eliminated. I then felt something in my left pocket of my jacket. I pulled it out and was shocked at what I saw. It was a purple and black masquerade mask that covered my eyes, nose, and eyebrows. I shrugged and put it on, earning a click as it gripped onto my face. I looked into the mirror, and where my eyes where a black hole covered them and two blue dots appeared before screwing and becoming smaller and flashing.
"What the hell has my Uncle given me?" I said to myself.
Unown to him a certain Dragonequess was watching him from a towel whilst smirking at the magical things he had given this, soon to be chaos maker, she could only laugh at the chaos caused when she would start the fun...
Celestia's POV
Day court.
1 hour 4 minutes before the 'accident'
I sighed in annoyance. The demands of these nobles are annoying. They only want to become Alicorns and to Court her. Her dad told her to someone who doesn't want power but to love her. The truth is, she just wanted a little brother to call family, even if he was adopted. I could have gone on with her daydream, but a voice snapped her out her thoughts.
"...So, your majesty, we think we should have rights to be- your majesty!" A particularly fat noble spoke.
"Will all of you just quit it!" I roared, shouting was something I rarely used, but this was a suitable situation for now. "None of you shall be becoming Alicorns anytime soon! And if anyone wants to mention it, LEAVE!" I finished watching everyone but one noble left.
"And what do you want?" I asked in a calmer tone.
The noble simply smiled and asked a simple question that annoyed her even more. "Have you thought about courting?"
I was about to reply but before she could finish, a rift appeared in the middle of the room and began to shake violently causing rubble to fall from the ceiling and crush rows of seats and windows. I could sense who's magic felt like this. And It wasn't a suprise. Celestia put up a shield spell around her and the noble waiting for the rift to close.
This did not go unnoticed as shortly after it happened my parents appeared in the room in a flash of light...
Adusk's POV
Breakfast
20 minutes before the 'accident'
I slowly made my way downstairs, the worn out wooden stairs creaking and groaning under my weight. I finally reached the bottom and could smell pancakes. I walked up to a door on the left of the stairs and walked to it, shortly after walking in and sitting at a table that was to the right of the front door.
''Good morning Uncle," I spoke in a normal tone.
He instantly turned around and smiled, his bright blue eyes flashing and his blonde hair falling over his left eye. His smile quickly turned into concern as he saw what I was was wearing.
''Who gave you those?" He asked pointing to my clothes whilst serving me some waffles and pouring some syrup on my waffle
"I thought you bought them?" I replied truthfully "They were waiting for me when I woke up."
He was about to speak but was interrupted by an alarm ringing on the table. I picked up the source of the noise and quickly unlocked my phone, disabling the alarm called 'School'.
"Shit! sorry gotta go!" I spoke bolting out the door, picking up my messenger snakeskin bag in the process
"Stop swearing!" I heard him call down the hallway.
I ran out the door, slammed it behind me and ran for School.
But what Adusk did not notice was that he was running at an insane speed, while his shoes glowed...
I finally reached the gates and panted greedily sucking in air. As I reached for the handle I felt a pain at the back of my head, then a flash causing me to become blind for a moment, whilst I heard voices in the background.
Celestia's POV
Day court
The rift was becoming more unstable as the seconds passed, and my parents, I and Luna were barely able to contain it. An idea then struck me, causing me to gasp.
"Dad, shield the rift, then it can explode in the shield causing no harm!" I shouted over the sound of energy crackling.
It then stabilized by shooting all of its magic into a single area, constructing what appeared to be a monkey of some sought, but then it destabilized again and shot a bolt of magic at this...thing. It screamed in pain, clutching its head whilst the rift shrunk, leaving this thing in the room. It had now stopped screaming and slowly opened it's mouth.
In the bright and sunny world of Equestria, said human: was currently standing in shock as his left eye twitched behind his mask. He was staring at multicoloured...walking talking horse things, as he heard when he reached to open the school gate.
''Ok, I have been drugged," I said laughing out loud, "Good prank Uncle! But come on where are the lights! Oh, I get it I am still sleeping! yeah, I'm still in bed and am going to wake up in...3...2...1!"
But nothing happened...
"Well then, let's try this," I spoke with enthusiasm in my voice, confident that this was going to work. "If I hurt myself then I'll wake up!" I reeled back my fist walked over to a wreckage near some seats and aimed it at a chunk of rubble. "Ahh fuck!" I screamed as my fist hit the rubble, cracking my bones. I quickly retracted my hand and rubbed it with my leathery fist.
"What are you?" A voice spoke in front of me. "We demand to know!"
I directed my head upwards and looked at the voice, it belonged to a purple-black woman (my guess) who had a flowing purple star-like hair. I quickly noticed a thing...like a pole on her head, like a unicorn and wings on her back. But get this, she was fucking bipedal.
"They call me many names," I spoke barely stopping myself from jumping out a window in fear and weirdness. "The decider or The masked badass!" These were lies, but at least the masked one made sense. Or so I think... "But most commonly, Adusk!" I spoke standing upright and running my fingers through my hair.
"That's cute, now we have some questions to ask kid now come quietly." The orange one spoke, who had features like the women next to him, but like a man.
"Thou should listen to our father, ape." The smaller purple one spoke.
"Nah, I shall just leave right now if you don't mind," I said looking for an exit. I spotted a door behind these...things. And ran to it ducking under the things that were blocking my way. "Oh, and it's also it's Human!" I said running out the door.
A certain Dragonequess was watching him from a window, smirking at how she had changed his shy, boring and normal nature to a chaotic aggressive cocky nature. And she also made sure to go into his soul as he ran through the door, so he could feed off the chaos he was about to cause.
Canterlot
Corridors.
I was running down the corridors right now, dodging more horse things, I felt great! It's like I had my personality wiped and changed! My thoughts were interrupted when guards (because of their armor) appeared all around me, with spears raised at me.
Then from behind them, the same horse things I met in the room I left were looking at me with pissed of glairs.
"We just want to talk kid." A younger version of the orange one I met, but, a girl spoke.
"So is talking surrounding me and pointing spears at me?" I spoke with annoyance. "Also, I said I'm a human," I spoke cracking my knuckles. "Get it right."
"I'm afraid you leave me with no choice. Guards!" The smaller orange one spoke. "Detain it!" And as she said that, the guards started to try and restrain me.
I simply leaped up out of their way and boosted myself further in the air, via said guards heads.
"Ok, now I get it. You want to probe me." I spoke with boredom in my voice. "Yeah well, good luck with that," I spoke leaving all the things disgusted and dumbfounded. "AND ITS HUMAN!" I raced down the hall, ignoring the pleas to stop.
When I was a good distance away, I stopped and stretched my legs. I could hear foo-hoof, steps coming towards me.
"Here we..." I spoke getting in a running position, unaware of the purple glow covering my body. The things had come closer now and were a few seconds away from me. "GO!" I shouted bursting of at an impossible speed.
I was charging with my hands behind my back, dodging various guards and more things. I looked up ahead and saw a shit ton of guards guarding a door, from which I presumed was the horned and winged things orders. I skidded to a halt and looked for a way out. 'Ah shit' I thought. I looked over my shoulder me and saw all of the guards chasing me, along with other things in outfits, trying to corner me. This only made me run faster, whilst running against walls to avoid blasts and also creating chaos in general.
I felt full of energy as I ran straight for the door, hoping that I plan I had just made up worked. The guards, sure enough, moved as a torpedo ran towards them. I jumped at the door, feet first and swung myself around, facing the over way, whilst I used the door as a launch pad.
I was launching face first into a crowd of people, but I surfed over their heads and ran the opposite way I ran, causing me to take various stairs and turns. 'How big is this fucking place?' I thought whilst reaching a balcony, looking for any escape routes. I spotted one, a ledge that led to another room. I looked over the balcony and saw that It was built over a forest-looking place.
I slowly crawled over to the ledge and made myself over to an open window. I slowly shimmied over their, but the ledge crumbled under my weight. I gasped, but felt something pull me into the window. I immediately slammed the window shut. Then, a slight cough came from behind me. And saw all the guards were there.
But what confused me the most was that the four bigger things had gone. I again heard a cough, this time behind me. So I looked over at the over my shoulder and saw the things I didn't want to see.
They were there.
And I was cornered.
"Does thou surrender?" The one with a purple tiara spoke.
Having no other option, I sighed.
"Sure, but I better get some fucking coffee after this shit! I'm really tired. Or if not I'll just go home." I said clenching my fist. Then a thought hit me, how the fuck was I able to understand these things!?
I slowly raised my head of my pillow and yawned softly, rubbing my eyes in the process. I cracked my neck whilst pulling my feet to the side of the bed. I slowly stood up sighing in the progress. I was wearing some normal nightwear.
"Come out Luna," I spoke whilst walking into the bathroom. She did this every morning to check up on me.
Then, I walked up to the bathroom mirror, grabbing the same mask on the side I wore 2 years ago when I arrived.
As It turned out, the mask or 'key' I wore was an ancient weapon used in many great wars over the time Equestria was born. But, it was also made to slowly make the wearer slowly lose emotions and happiness. Not like I had any in the first place anyway...
"Thou are getting better at this Adusk, your father would-" She stopped mid-sentence and sighed, "we are sorry, we did not mean to say that."
"It's fine Luna, I just gotta get ready," I spoke as I placed my mask on my face. Then I scratched my elbow but hissed in pain, "I fucking hate this cut." I spoke as I rubbed my right elbow, which was wrapped in numerous bandages, covered in blood.
"We understand that thou would hate Celestia for what she did." She said as she lit her horn up, covering her body in a purple glow, before returning to normal again. "I can't get this damn speech right!"
"Chill Luna," I said putting on a tuxedo "Let's get ready for me to be revealed to Equestria. And then after that, I'm gonna speak to Discord for changing my shit." I sighed tieing a tie on.
"Well, you have been hidden for two years. I'm sure they will be fine with you. Also, Discord gave you these gifts that you wear." She spoke as she flattened her purple-floating mane.
"That reminds me, how do people like your night, Luna?" I said pulling my red shoes on I wore when I arrived.
"They fucking hate it!" She screamed full force throwing me at the back of the room. "I DO THIS SHIT EVERY SINGLE FUCKING NIGHT! AND THEY STILL DON'T GIVE A SINGLE FUCK ABOUT IT!" She roared, panting afterwards.
"Luna, They love your night, think of it like this," I said limping towards her, getting out of the wreckage that was my mirror. "They love it because they can sleep at night safely knowing someone is watching over them, and also, do you want me to speak to Celestia?" I spoke stroking her back as she sobbed into her lap.
She looked up at me with teary eyes and nodded. Then, she wrapped her arms around me and sobbed into my shoulder. I started to comfort her and sighed. What the fuck was Celestia doing?
But Adusk did not notice a darkness seeping out of Luna's tears and flowing into a cut in his skin from the crash into his mirror...
Adusk's POV
King Solaris and Queen Faust's room.
"So, I think you need to have a little chat with Celestia," I spoke drinking what appeared to be a black substance on Solaris table.
I had just finished telling them what happened between me and Luna in my bathroom. Apparently Celestia was making rumor's that the night was evil and she needed them to follow her if they did not want to be corrupt.
"What makes you think that Celestia would do that to Luna?" He spoke in a firm tone. "She is my daughter. And they are sisters. Halt your lies Adusk, or we will for you." He said sipping his drink whilst singing papers.
"Just because she is older does not mean that she would not do such a thing you fucking prick!" I said whilst throwing my glass at a wall. "DO YOU EVEN CARE ABOUT ANY OF THEM YOU FUCKING STUCK UP BASTARD!" I roared whilst flipping the table he was writing on.
"That was unnecessary Ape." He spat, using his horn to gather up his things. "Also to answer your question, no they are just toys to me, sex slaves if you will. They will help me repopulate the Ali-" He was cut off as he saw a butter knife heading for his head. Quick thinking he held his hand out, so it would not impale his horn. Then screamed in pain as the blade pierced his skin.
"I know Luna more than you. And she is a very fragile girl. You either take care of her, or I will you shit bag." I spoke bitterly, heading for the door, Not even noticing a red mist replacing my normal blue pupils (When I wear the mask) through my mask.
Unknown to Solaris, A Blue alicorn Queen/Daughter with were watching in tears, from their husband's/father's words. But mostly from Adusk's words. Adusk would never do this.
Or would he?
Adusk's POV
2 hours later.
Canterlot lobby.
I was currently wrapping a bandage over my elbow to hide the red substance leaking out from my cut. I was also thinking about the 'chat' I had with that Dickhead Solaris. Also, I wanted to look good for the ponies I was about to meet, And not make them think I had suffered wounds from doing something like a mindless animal. I rolled my Tux sleeve down and stood up from the chair I was sitting at and walked towards the door that held the stage behind the red velvet curtain.
One thing was running through my mind right now:
It was showtime motherfuckers!
Chapter 3: Into the depths of hell. Part 2 (Edited.)
I walked towards the door, my heart pounding as it went.
My memories were a blur.
I was grasping a bronze door knob. Studying it details. Carved with rural's of Moon's and Sun's. Two little black and orange specks opposite each other. Fighting for balance.
It fascinated me. I was struggling when I first came to this world. Everybody hated me. I was betrayed. Broken. And plunged into the world of depression.
Everything was too much for me. All I felt was Pain when Discord broke my body. And now, he betrayed me. And betrayal is a funny word. The funny thing is, It never comes from your enemies. It comes from your friends.
"-usk" A voice called. Go away, I'm thinking.
"-sk" I said go away.
"Adusk!" Alright. Shut up.
I looked at the source of the voice. It was Celestia. Cakefuck herself.
"Yes?" I spoke bitterly, she had been a bitch to me since I had been here.
"Don't listen to Luna. You do know she is lying right Adusk?"
"How can you tell Celestia?"
"Luna was jelous.
She was forgotten. Never had love given to her. Always hid in the shadows, only showing in numbers and with friends. Minus the friends. And...showing.
"I and Luna are going back to the Castle in the Everfree after this ok?" She spoke playing with locks of her hair.
I sighed and shook my head. Less to talk to. God knows what's keeping me sane from all the shit that has happened in the last two years.
And Discord's daughter Eris fucking around with me in my sleep and shit? People demanding I be sold to them? Or be tested on? That shit doesn't particularly help and all.
"Sure, just speak to me after this, alright?" I spoke gritting my teeth. I couldn't stand talking to her.
She looked at me puzzled, then nodded slowly and left out the door.
I swear. Shit is happening today. And I hated it. Couldn't I just have a normal day in peace? I guess not.
I realized I was still holding the doorknob, so I pushed the door slowly open, only to be greeted by...Solaris. And he had a shit ton of guards with him.
"Can I help you?" I spoke with a raised eyebrow.
He looked at me with a stern glare and squinted his eyes. Then, his mouth moved.
"Adusk Masaki. You are accused of assaulting a royal. You will answer my questions. Do you have anything to say in your defence?" He spoke with amusement in his voice. He also had a bandage covering his hand. I don't know why he did not heal it. He could have. Could.
"Listen, Solaris." I sighed, "I'm sorry for snapping at you like that. I was just pissed. I have had a shit day so far. But if you're gonna punish me, can we do this after this event please, Also, I have some good shit on you Solar." I sighed rubbing my finger across the visor on my mask.
He looked at me, deep in thought. The veins on his head were bulging and he was gritting his teeth whilst his eye was twitching
"Very well Adusk. And if you are wondering, we will be with you the stage. Go through that door and wait behind the red curtain. Also, you have a letter." He reached a hand into his red coat and drew out a piece of paper with a red wax seal on it. It said my name it scrawled letters on the back. In purple. Huh.
That reminded me.
"Why am I doing this if people already know who I am?" I asked taking them letter out of his hand.
He looked at me, closed his eyes and spoke: "Because, Adusk. You need to be revealed to everyone." He waved his hand to his guards and walked out the door behind me. His guards in tow.
I grasped the letter in my hand and ripped off the wax seal. What awaited me sent chills down my spine.
It was a hand print made with blood. And it had red scrawled writing below it saying
WE KNOW.
I dropped the letter. My heart was beating rapidly. What the fuck was going on? I had to calm myself. I bent down and picked it up. There was writing on the back of it. I started murmuring under my breath.
'To whom reads this, you are our prey. Turn back and accept your fate. You cannot reset the past, Masaki. No in can hide from the Dark ponyhood.'
That name sent chills down my spine. Where did I remember that name from...
2 years ago, 5 months after Adusk was revealed.
I was walking down the hall wearing a white shirt and some blue chained jeans whilst rubbing my eyes in a tired way. I was ordered to go visit Faust's study room for a lesson on the dangers I have to avoid in Equestria. I was reaching her room now. Room no. 206. I walked up to the door and knocked casually.
The door opened seconds later and Faust came out wearing her Normal black dress I see her in every day.
"Ah, Adusk. I have been expecting you!" She chirped. I instantly imagined her on a spinning chair with a white cat. I snickered at that.
"Yeah, Im here. Now what did you want to talk to me about Faust?" I said scratching my cheek.
"Well, due to some...incidents we have to incline you that we need to teach you self defence. And before you ask, It is about a group that have been killing civilians recently. If you get a note with a red hand print on it then you are there next target."
"What's their name?" I asked combing my hair to The right with my hand.
"The Darkponyhood." She spoke with a shiver down her spine.
