> Spike's Bachelor Party > by Jeseille-Hazim > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Spike's Bachelor Party > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spike was sitting alone, while everypony else was partying inside the castle. He was thinking about the bachelor party he was assigned to do. Ugh, what’s a bachelor party? Maybe if I can somehow get back to the library and find a book about it. But it’ll take hours to get back to the library. Oh, I know! I’ll ask Twilight if she can teleport me back. Spike got up and began to walk to the castle. He entered the castle and walked around, trying to find Twilight. Spike knew his way around the castle from the events of the Grand Galloping Gala. He walked into a certain room, and saw that there was a wall of ponies blocking his way. He tried to look around the ponies to try and find Twilight, but he failed in doing so. Spike decided that there was no point in trying to look around the ponies anymore. He started to begin crawling under and around the ponies. After a while, he popped up on the other side of the wall of ponies. He got up and dusted off his shirt. He looked up and saw Twilight staring down at him. Twilight had a look of confusion on her face. “Spike, did you really just crawl under those ponies?” Twilight asked, confused. “Yeah, I was trying to find you to ask you something.” Spike replied. “Oh, what did you want to ask me then?” Twilight asked. “Can you teleport me back to the library for like, ten minutes?” Spike asked. “Why? Do you need something?” Twilight asked. “I need to find a book on bachelor parties.” Spike replied. “Oh, right, Princess Celestia said you needed to host it.” Twilight said. “So, can you teleport me?” Spike asked. “Sure, the book shouldn’t be too hard to find.” Twilight replied. “Great!” Spike said. Twilight began focusing her magic. She pointed her horn at Spike and it began to glow. Spike soon felt a purple aura around him and a second later, Spike was gone. Spike appeared at the library. He walked around the dark for a while until he found the light switch. He flicked on the lights and ran over to the bookshelves. He looked in the “P” section for the book about parties. He found the book and blew the dust off. He opened the book and searched for bachelor parties. After he found it, he skimmed the page as fast as he could. After he got that all figured out, he closed the book and put it back in its respectable place. He decided that he needed to get supplies, since it wouldn’t really be a bachelor party without it. Grabbing some bits, he ran out the door of the library to the store. Seconds later, Spike arrived at the store. He opened the door and went inside. He looked around and saw the cashier not far from him. He approached the cashier and asked him a question. “Excuse me mister, but do you know where the bachelor party supplies are?” Spike asked. “ You just go straight forward all the way down there, then make a left turn,” the cashier replied. “Okay, thanks!” Spike said. Spike did as the cashier said and went straight foward. Spike looked around the store and saw that there were supplies for just about anything. He got to the end of the store and made a left turn. Suddenly, Spike saw an entire aisle of bachelor party supplies. He went about the aisle, grabbing everything he needed. He couldn’t hold that much stuff because of how little his claws were, but he thought that Shining Armor wouldn’t mind. He left the aisle and decided to get something else. He went to the birthday parties aisle and grabbed a marker pack for the banner. He went back to the cashier and put all his supplies on the counter. The cashier started to scan them one by one. The cashier placed the supplies in the bags and gave them to Spike. Spike gave him all his bits. After Spike got everything he needed, he left the store. He felt a magic aura around him and a second later, he appeared back at the castle. He saw Twilight standing in front of him. “Got everything you needed, Spike?” Twilight asked. “Yep.” Spike replied, showing the supplies in the bags to Twilight. “Fantastic.” Twilight said. “So, where’s Shining Armor?” Spike asked. “He’s over there dancing with Cadance.” Twilight replied, pointing her hoof at Shining Armor. Spike looked at where Twilight’s hoof was pointing and indeed saw Shining Armor dancing with Cadance. Spike looked back at Twilight and asked, “Do you think you can tell him to go to that room in thirty minutes?” “Sure, I’ll remember to tell him Spike. Now go set up that party before it’s too late.” Twilight said with a wink. “Got it.” Spike said with a smile. Spike ran off to find some friends to help him. Spike soon found Soarin’ talking to the other Wonderbolts. He approached Soarin’ and tapped him on the shoulder. Soarin’ turned around and looked down at Spike. “Oh, hey Spike, do you need something?” Soarin’ asked. “You know Shining Armor, right?” Spike asked. “Yeah, we’ve talked several times.” Soarin’ replied. “Can you help me set up his bachelor party? I can’t do it on my own.” Spike asked. “Sure.” Soarin’ replied. “Go to that room, I’m going to go get more friends to help.” Spike said. Soarin’ nodded and went to the room. Spike ran off to find more friends. Spike soon found Doctor Whooves. He approached Doctor Whooves and tapped him on the shoulder. Doctor Whooves turned around and looked down at Spike. “Ah, hello Spike, do you need something from me?” the Doctor asked. “Do you know Shining Armor?” Spike asked. “Yes, he asked for my help to see into the future,” the Doctor replied. “Awesome, can you help me set up his bachelor party?” Spike asked. “Sure, Spike,” the Doctor replied. “Go to that room, I’m going to go get more friends to help.” Spike said. The Doctor nodded and went to the room. Spike ran off to find more friends. Spike soon found Caramel and approached him. He tapped him on the shoulder. Caramel turned around and looked down at Spike. “Hey there Spike, you need something?” Caramel said. “You were one of the best stallions, right?” Spike asked. “Yeah, but what does that have to do with anything?” Caramel replied. “I need help setting up Shining Armor’s bachelor party, so will you help me?” Spike asked. “Sure.” Caramel replied. Spike and Caramel went to the room. This private room was saved for Spike by Princess Celestia. The room was kind of small, but that was okay for Spike. They didn’t need that much room. When they got there, Spike pushed the door open and entered the room. Caramel followed him and stood where all the other stallions were standing. “So, what exactly do you need us to do?” Soarin’ asked. “Just start setting up the supplies that are in those bags.” Spike replied. “Alright.” Soarin’ said. Soarin’ walked over to the supply bags and took some cups out. He set them on the table that was not too far from him. Doctor Whooves walked over to the supply bags too and took some cider out. He set them on the table next to the cups.Caramel walked over to the supply closet and took some chairs out. He set them up on the floor at random spots. When he was done, it looked like a diamond. Spike took the banner and the markers out. He spread the banner apart on the floor to the farthest it could go. He took a blue marker out of the marker pack and took the cap off. He started to write on the banner “Shining Armor’s Bachelor Party”. After he wrote that, he thought about how he was going to get it up on the wall. “Hey Soarin’, can you put this up on the wall for me?” Spike said. “Sure thing.” Soarin’ replied. Soarin’ took the banner in his teeth. He leaned down to let Spike get on his back. Spike got on his back, remembering to bring some tape. Soarin’ spread his wings and started to fly to the wall. Once they got there, Soarin’ held the banner against the wall to let Spike tape it up. Spike stood up on Soarin’s back. Spike leaned over and placed the tape on one side. He leaned over again and placed the tape on the other side. Spike leaned back and thought the banner was good. Soarin’ flew back to the ground and folded his wings. Spike jumped off his back and looked at the room. Deciding they were finished, Spike put the blue marker back in the marker pack and put the marker pack back in the bag. He opened the door to the supply closet and kicked the bags into the closet. He closed the door and sat down. Twilight was mentally counting the minutes go by. Finally, she reached the thirty minute mark. She walked over to Shining Armor who decided to take a break from dancing for a while. Shining Armor saw her coming and stood up. “Hey, Twiley.” Shining Armor said. “Hay, Shining Armor.” Twilight replied. “You need something?” Shining Armor asked. “Where’s Cadance?” Twilight asked. “She went to sleep early. This day has been pretty exhausting for her.” Shining Armor asked. “Oh, okay.” Twilight said. “Anything else, Twiley?” Shining Armor asked. “Yeah, can you go to that room over there? Twilight asked, as she pointed to the room. “Okay, any particular reason why I should?” Shining Armor asked. “Oh, just go.” Twilight said. “If you say so.” Shining Armor said. Shining Armor began to walk to the room. He was wondering what was in the room. Spike suddenly heard hoofsteps coming towards the room. Spike stood up and told everypony to hide. They did as they said and hid different places. Spike turned off the lights and found his own hiding place. Spike and the other stallions heard Shining Armor opening the door. “Surprise!” Spike and the other stallions yelled in unison. Shining Armor looked around the room and noticed the banner. “Oh wow! A bachelor party for me?” Shining Armor said. “Yep, and it was all Spike’s idea,” the Doctor said. Shining Armor looked down at Spike who was standing in front of him. “You did this?” Shining Armor asked. “Yeah, I had to look up what a bachelor party was though.” Spike replied. “Wow, you went through all this trouble for me?” Shining Armor asked. “Well, you are Twilight’s brother and Captain of the Royal Guard.” Spike replied. “That’s true.” Shining Armor said. “Yeah.” Spike said. “Wait a second, Spike, are you allowed to drink cider? I just want to make sure, so Twilight doesn’t get mad at me.” Shining Armor asked. “Back when the Flim Flam brothers came to Ponyville, Twilight let me drink cider.” Spike replied. “The Flim Flam brothers? Who are they?” Shining Armor asked. “They were con stallions who sold cider. They tried to run Sweet Apple Acres out of business.” Spike replied. “Oh, okay.” Shining Armor said. “So, how about that bachelor party?” Caramel said. “Right.” Shining Armor said. “Let’s party!” Soarin yelled. They spent the rest of the night partying, drinking cider, playing some games, and having fun. The next morning... Spike awoke from the party. He had a slight headache. He looked around the room and saw the stallions either passed out on the floor or in the chairs. “Ugh, that was some party.” Spike groaned, as he placed his claw against his forehead. Spike rubbed his eyes and when he opened them, he saw Twilight standing above him. She looked kind of mad, but happy at the same time. Spike stood up and waited for what Twilight was going to say. Twilight looked the room over and finally said something. “Spike, I’m somewhat disappointed in you. But I’m proud of you at the same time.” Twilight said. “Huh?” Spike said. “Spike, I didn’t think you would be capable of throwing a bachelor party. So that’s why I’m proud of you.” Twilight said. “Oh.” Spike said. Suddenly, Twilight and Spike heard a groan from behind them. They looked toward the direction of the groan, and saw Shining Armor getting up. He clumsily walked over to where Twilight and Spike were. “Oh, hay Twiley. You missed a great party.” Shining Armor said. “I’m sure I did.” Twilight giggled. “Hay, Twilight, where’s the others?” Spike asked. “They went home, which is something we should be doing.” Twilight said. “Yeah, we should.” Spike yawned. Spike got on Twilight’s back. Twilight turned towards Shining Armor and smiled. “It was great seeing you again, Shining Armor.” Twilight said. “It was great seeing you again too, Twiley.” Shining Armor replied. Without another word, Twilight and Spike left the room. Twilight started to focus her magic. Her horn glowed and a second later, she was gone. Shining Armor sighed and turned around. He looked the room over and saw the stallions passed out. He decided to just let them continue sleeping. He walked back outside to continue his job as the Captain of the Royal Guard.
