"Girls, look!" Pinkie cried in glee as the clouds began to dissipate before there chariot. An island came into view from below them.

"Tree houses!" she cried as they got closer, surprising the girls as a few houses became visible and spread across the islands beaches and cliffs.

"Well, Ah'll be." Applejack said as they touched down on the beach near one of the houses

"This island has some locals!"

"We should go and introduce ourselves." Twilight said, nodding in thanks to the two guards who had driven them this far

"Who knows, they may be able help!" She exclaimed in glee.

"Yeah!" Rainbow cried ecstatically before pausing

"Wait, help? With what?" she asked

"Rainbow!" Pinkie gasped before latching on to her face

"You weren't listening?" Rainbow, her head still held within Pinkies hooves, shook it.

"Twilight only told us, like, a gagillion times!" Pinkie exclaimed in surprise before shaking the poor mare.

"How can you not remember what it is Twilight told us before coming here!?" She stopped abruptly, to the relief of the now dizzy pegasus, and turned towards Twilight.

"Why are we here again, Twilight?"

Twilight sighed before explaining, "This island appeared on the map back at the castle. And, with Celestia's approval, we're allowed to go and get as much information as we can about this island and it's inhabitants and report back to Canterlot with our findings for further observation. "

"So Egghead stuff. Gotcha." Rainbow said nonchalantly. Twilight frowned at this, but ignored it and began making her way towards the tree house.

The house itself had a roof made up of dried palm leaves and the walls seemed to be from stalks of bamboo. A window port is seen on the side of it, next to a red wooden door. The door itself had the word "Kong" labeled in yellow upon a large plank of wood above the doorframe.

"Hello! Mr. Kong?" A loud knocking startled her out of her observation as Pinkie, to the surprise of her and her friends, was found at the doorstep of the abode knocking on the door. She stopped abruptly with her knocking and placed a hoof onto her chin in question.

"Mrs. Kong?" She began again

"Are you home?"

She stopped with her knocking and went towards the window port, much to the confusion of her friends. "Hello?" She called out as she went in through the window.

"Pinkie!" Twilight exclaimed in panic.

"Come out, come out wherever you are!" She hollered from beside them, startling them all.

"~Olly olly oxen free!~" she sang out, looking this way and that for the missing islander.

"Pinkie, I-"

"Marco!" Pinkie cried out, cutting off Twilight, her eyes shut tight and her hooves out stretched, moving here and there trying to get a feel around her surroundings.

"I don't thi-"

"Marco!"

"Would you ple-!"

"Marco!"

"Pinkie!"

"Marco?" Pinkie questioned, her eyes still closed, her face scrunched in concentration, and her hooves dancing all over Twilights face.

"Pinkie Pie!" Twilight cried, having enough of her friends game. Pinkie opened her eyes and smiled at who it was she had found

"Twilight!" she exclaimed joyfully.

"Pinkie," Twilight began again, "I don't think-"

"I don't think anypony's home, Twilight!" Pinkie deduced. Twilight gave her a flat look.

"Um, girls?" all heads turned to Fluttershy

"Look." she pointed from below the tree house. Following her hoof, they notice a cave barely visible by the jungle shrubbery surrounding it.

"You think anypony's in there Twi?" Dash asked.

Twilight looked at her, then to the rest of the girls before shrugging, "Only one way to find out." She said and walked towards the cave. Her friends followed her inside.

Inside, they found themselves within a small tunnel, "I don't like this." Fluttershy mumbled just loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Don't worry, Fluttershy" Twilight said, looking back at the trembling pegasus

"It shouldn't be to-" She bumped into something while she was talking, a wooden sign with the words "Kong's Hoard" written on it in yellow. Twilight knew only one type of creature that would use the word hoard in anything. "Dragons." She exclaimed quietly, to herself.

"Girls!" Twilight looks towards them, only to find there attention transfixed behind her. "Girls?" Twilight looks beyond the sign. Her eyes widen in surprise at what she saw. Just beyond the sign, the cave opened up, light was coming through from a large hole on the ceiling, and an mountain of gold glistened the inside of the cave.

'No. Not gold.' Twilight squinted upon the the gold, pondering the odd shape, before realization came. "Are those...Bananas?"

"Twilight, darling." Rarity says, shaking the alicorn out of her stupor. "There could something else here." Twilight threw her a confused look.

"This is a hoard, dear." Rarity explained. "An odd hoard, mind you, but a hoard none the less. What if the dragon it belongs to is hiding its more valuable treasures under all of it?" The more Twilight thought about it, the more it seemed to make sense.

"Alright girls," They turned to Twilight.

"We're gonna see if theirs anything in here that's worthwhile! Pinkie, Fluttershy! Get the guards, they could help with this!" With a nod, the two set off while the rest of the girls grabbed as much bananas as they can before following the two out and placed the piles just outside of the caves entrance before going back in and doing it all over again with the two guards in tow.

It felt like it had been hours to the group as the ground was starting to become visible, but there was no sign of treasure. "Rarity," Twilight began. "I'm starting to second guess myself."

"But, their has to be something in here, darling!" Rarity said "The sign says 'Kong's Hoard!' for crying out loud!" She said as she grabbed the sign and pointed. That was when she noticed the dirt upon her hoof as she touched the sign. Inspecting the sign closely, Rarity found bits of yellow peering out in the between the two words. With a quick sweep from her magic, both Twilight and Rarity had found a hidden word upon the sign.

There eyes widened.

"Kong's...Banana Hoard!?"

"Banana Hoard?" Applejack exclaimed from behind them, startling the two as the rest of the group came over.

"Now that don't make a lick of sense!" She said aloud, looking to both Twilight and Rarity, "What kinda dragon would go around takin fruit rather than treasure?" she asked.

"Well, they're shiny, for one!" Pinkie exclaimed, picking one up and admiring it glistening form.

"Pinkie could be on to something, Twi." Dash said, "What if these things are the only thing that's gold-like on this island that's good enough for this Kong guy?"

Having no other answer and finding nothing else in the cave, Twilight decided, with a sigh, to have the stock pile be put back into the cave. Mulling over a thought, Twilight takes a bundle from the hoard. "We can't go back to Canterlot empty hooved." she exclaimed when the others stared at her questioningly

"Besides, it's just a bundle! It's not like the dragon will miss it!" and with that, they went to work putting the hoard back how they found it.

"Um, Twilight?" Fluttershy spoke up after awhile of working.

"Just a minute Fluttershy," Twilight answered, carrying a pile with her magic "We're about halfway done."

"Sugarcube..."

"Applejack." Twilight glanced at the farm pony "I just told Fluttershy-"

"Twilight!"

"What!?" Twilight glared at Rainbow until Pinkie came beside her, grabbed her head and turned it towards two new arrivals on the edge of the islands jungle. To her surprise, they where a gorilla and monkey! From there distance Twilight could tell that the gorilla was huge. It had brown fur and wore a red tie around it's neck, the only piece of clothing she could see on it. The monkey was also brown furred with a red cap donned upon its head and a red shirt with two yellow stars on it. Both of the primates, carrying piles of bananas, stood rooted in there spot looking at the group in surprise.

"...Oh..."

The two continued to stare until they noticed something behind the group of ponies. Slowly, Twilight follows there gaze to the remaining stock pile behind them. Her eyes widened in realization.

"Girls," She began with some trepidation.

"I don't think the Kong's are dragons." She concluded to the rest of the ponies. Both groups jump in surprise when a banana peel is tossed nonchalantly between them. All slowly turn towards the source in disbelief.

"P-pinkie?" Twilight uttered.

For her part, Pinkie Pie, realizing that all eyes are upon her, swallowed the treat she was eating before answering their unspoken question with a look of guilt upon her face. "...I eat when I'm nervous."

Having given her answer, Pinkie Pie grabbed another banana in shame, popped it in her mouth, and tossed the peel over her shoulder before chewing and swallowing.

An enraged roar shocks them, as well as bananas being flung this way and that, back to there new arrivals in the mitts of a tantrum. The ground shakes before them as the gorilla slams its bare hands onto the earth, making them trip and stumble in surprise. Before anypony could say or do anything, the two primates charge at them.

Donkey Kong had just returned with his pal Diddy from the jungle with another pile of bananas for there ever growing hoard only to find, to his and Diddy's surprise, there hoard out in the open and 8 beings both Kongs have never seen before. The pink one that took from there hoard had gotten rid of there confusion and instead replaced it with unkempt rage. In his eyes, they're thieves. and DK knew how to deal with thieves.

"SCATTER!" The pink one hollered as the gorilla lunged at them with unbridled fury, his fists rising above his head as he got closer to there still forms. They ran right before he slammed his fists onto the very ground where they once stood, creating another tremor that had the ground bounded stumbling while the blue one and the two white with gold armor quickly took to the air.

DK charged at the orange thief, the closest one of the bunch, but was struck from above by one of the flying white ones. He turned to face his challenger, only to be decked from the side by the other one. He turned towards him, swinging his arms as he tried to swat at his attacker. As he was glaring at the two, DK was struck from the back of head. Turning, he found the orange one had made her way to a palm tree and had just struck it, to the confusion of the ape. In a swift motion she turned and struck one of the falling coconuts with her back legs. It blurred as it struck the gorilla. Enraged, DK charged her.

"Oh no!" She cried as he charged, but he was struck from above by one of the flying ones yet again. Having enough, DK made a mighty clap, creating a shockwave that had the two thrown in different directions onto the ground in a daze. That was when Diddy made himself known, as he went to the nearest one. As the now grounded flying white thief senses came to him, he could only stare at Diddy as the monkey struck a few fighting poses. The thief's confusion turned to dread when a shadow loomed over him. As he turned toward the gorilla, the white thief was quickly introduced to Dk's fist and was sent skyward. A twinkle in the distance was all that could be seen.

With a nod of satisfaction, DK and Diddy turned their attention to the remaining group. Only to stop and stare at a pair of soul piercing blue eyes. "How dare you!" The flying yellow thief spoke sternly.

"I know they shouldn't have attacked you like that, but that does not give you two the right to hurt them like that!" As she spoke Diddy cowered in her gaze and instinctively tried his best to hide behind DK, wanting nothing more than to have scary the yellow thief go away. DK, on the other hand, just stared at her. Confusion clearly seen upon his face as she was glaring at him. He looked passed her towards the group in question. They watched as the scene unfolded before them with bated breath.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you!" She put herself in front of the giant ape, making him flinch before giving his attention back to her.

"Now what do you have to say for yourself?"

He smiled as an idea slowly came to mind.

DK watched as the thief's pupils shrank as he readied his giant punch. Before she was struck, the remaining white flying thief took action and rushed in, pushing her out of the way and taking the gorillas blow. Like the one before him, he too became nothing more than a twinkle in the distance.

"Oh my!" The yellow one whispered in shock at what had just transpired. She let out a squeak when the gorilla turned his attention back to her. She could only stare as he charged at her.

"Fluttershy!" DK heard as he stuck by a rainbow streak during his charge, the impact of the rainbow making him fall as it passed the gorilla and to the thief, revealing itself to be the flying blue one.

"Come on!" She cried, grabbing the yellow one before quickly taking her to the rest of there friends.

"Don't worry girls! I'm gonna get us out of here!" As he heard this, a purple glow quickly grabbed his attention and he saw the remaining group. Wasting no time, DK charged at them.

"It's coming Twilight!" He heard the blue thief yell.

"I know!"

"Hurry!"

"I'm trying!"

"Twilight!"

Donkey Kong lunged at them, his fists high in the air and his form eclipsing the sun from above them. The area became bathed in a bright light before vanishing. Diddy came out of his hiding spot and looked around in trepidation. He found no trace of Donkey Kong, the scary yellow thief, or it's group.

It was just him and him alone.

"Where are we now?" Rainbow groaned as the girls got up after they're hasty retreat via Twilights teleportation spell. Having a quick look around there new location, Twilight found the marble floor they where on in ruin, ripped and torn tapestry hung from the deteriorating stone walls, and plant life was over running there current location.

"The castle in the Everfree Forest." Twilight answered. She didn't mean to send them here, but she panicked.

At least we're close to Ponyville! she thought, trying to find a positive from there current predicament.

"As long as we're away from that over grown ape, it's fine by me!" Applejack said, getting words of agreements from the others.

"I know!" Rainbow exclaimed, "All of that over Pinkie eating a banana!"

"I hope the guards are okay," Fluttershy mumbled, hearing this caused the others moods to dampen.

"Don't worry, dear." Rarity said, placing a hoof on her shoulder, "I'm sure they're fine."

"All that work though," Twilight said, "And we have nothing to show for it!"

"Yeah." Pinkie agreed, looking bummed at there expense

"All we have are these." she reached into her hair as she said this and pulled out a bunch of bananas for all to see.

"Pinkie!" Twilight exclaimed upon seeing the bunch before her, "How long did you have those?"

"Back on the island!" Pinkie answered in a chipper tone, "I was still hungry so I thought that-"

A grunt stopped Pinkie before she began to ramble. All turned towards the noise. Dread returned to them as they saw the tie wearing gorilla tower over them. Twilight, in her panic, had brought Kong along with them! For his part, the gorilla stood there. Staring down at them with pure hate in his eyes.

No. Not at us! Twilight realized as she turned towards Pinkie, whom still held the bunch in her hooves.

Thinking quick, Pinkie hid the bundle behind her back and flashed a nervous smile towards DK. "U-um, hi!" she chuckled dryly as sweat began to pour out of her.

He gave her a murderous glare.

"I think we lost'em!" Applejack said, beginning to relax as the group ran. After the ape found Pinkie with one of his bananas, Twilight put herself between the two and quickly flashed a bright light, blinding the ape just long enough for them to escape. And now here they are, running through the Everfree Forest while occasionally looking behind them just in case Kong was following close behind them.

Believing they have put enough distance from Kong, the girls slowed their pace from a panicked sprint to a light canter. The girls stop dead in there tracks as a large animal leapt from the bushes infront of them. A manticore.

The beast circled the group, trying to decide who would make an easy meal before taking a stance. Rumblings nearby had the beast lose interest in it's meal and turn towards the noise in confusion. The girls could only stare as Kong burst into the scene and on top of the surprised manticore, pummeling the beast relentlessly.

"Quick! This way!" Twilight says, leading the girls away from the gorilla while it was distracted.

Twilight stopped her running, prompting the others stop behind her. "Do you hear that?" She said to them.

"I don't hear anything." Rainbow said before being shushed by Twilight. As the girls waited, a faint whistle made itself known.

"The train!" Pinkie exclaimed in glee

"We're almost out of the forest. Hurry!" Twilight says, and with that, the girls quickened their pace. The forests canopy became thinner as they passed and eventually they stumbled upon the train chugging along the tracks. Wasting no time, the girls hurriedly jump onto one of the passenger cars. breathing heavily as the occupants looked upon them all in surprise.

"Is that-?"

"It is!"

"But why are they-? Sh-shouldn't they be-?" The passengers mumbled amoungst themselves, nervousness etched across many of there faces. A quick look over, and the girls understood why the ponies where looking at them all uneasy. They'd be just as shocked if 6 disheveled mares came from the back of a moving train.

"It's alright everypony!" Twilight addressed to passengers, after a quick breather. "There is nothing to worry about!"

"We should be safe now." Twilight turned to the girls, and with that took a seat and began to relax. After a few minutes of silence, an uneasy feeling began to creep within the girls.

"Girls?" Applejack began, gaining her friends attention. "Are any of y'all having a bad feeling about this? Cause I know I sure am."

As she was saying this, the crowds mumbling seemed to get louder. Paying attention to them, Twilight noticed that all the occupants, save her friends, where staring at them with a look of trepidation. She began to question this. Why, she was pretty sure she had seen a couple of these ponies just the other day in Ponyville!

"Now!" One of the occupants shouted, shaking her out of her thoughts. Before she could say or do anything, the passengers where engulfed in green flames. Soon, they where replaced with black insectoid-like ponies with blue eyes and bared fangs.

"Changelings!" was all Twilight could get out before the changelings took action and quickly lunged at the girls.

Twilight awoke after hearing some form of struggling next to her. Taking note that the train had stopped, she looked towards the source of the commotion and found her friends, as well as herself, imprisoned in some green goo, struggling to get free.

"Well, isn't this a surprise!" The girls stopped as they heard chuckling. A tall and regel looking changeling walked towards them, pure satisfaction was seen across her face as she chuckled, looking upon the girls in there current predicament.

"Chrysalis!" Twilight growled, struggling even more now as the changeling queen appeared before them.

"I was planning on infiltrating Canterlot a second time while you where away," The Changeling Queen began, "But, having you as my prisoners works just as well!"

"Let us go you witch!" Rainbow shouted, re-doubling her efforts on breaking free, much to the amusement of the bugs.

"No." The queen said simply, enjoying them struggling to break free from there imprisonment. "Oh, this will be perfect!" she chuckled, menacingly.

"With you lot out of the way, I can finally take over and harvest all the love! Nothing can stop me now!" She laughed maniacally, her changelings following suit.

A changeling crashing through the window had silenced the queen and surprised all occupants in the passenger car. She walked over to it, taking note of it's battered and beaten form.

"Drone." She began sternly as the changeling was struggling to stay awake. "Who did this to you?"

Before she could get an answer, another loud crash had the occupants jump in fright. Looking towards the source of the noise, Chrysalis had found another injured changeling, unconscious from the impact. Looking through the new hole the changeling had made. Chrysalis could only stare in disbelief.

A behemoth of an ape was heading towards the train with a look of anger on its face as her changeling drones tried to subdue it. The key word being tried. She watched as her changelings that where inside the train with her charged towards the ape. It made little effort in dealing with there attempt at being reinforcements as it punched and swatted away any drone that dared to cross it. She took note that the ape seemed to be trying to get at the train.

"Kong!" the shout shook the queen out of her stupor and towards the prisoners. Dread was seen across their faces and she felt the fear they had for it once they realized what it was that seemed to be attempting to rescue them. "A friend of yours?"

"That aint no friend!" Aj spoke for the girls.

"An enemy, then." The Queen smirked

"Yeah, well that enemy is making mince meat out of your boys!" Rainbow snarled. Chrysalis frowned at this. Turning toward her drones, they stood stock still, ready for their queens command.

"Keep watch of the prisoners." she ordered before turning her attention back to the gorilla with narrowed eyes.

"I will deal with this!" And with that, she charged into the fray.

Another bug shrieked in pain as Donkey Kong brought a fist down upon it before moving on to another bug. He quickly snatched one as it flew past him, he then preceded to headbutt it before throwing it as far away as he could before moving on to another. Rage clearly seen across his face as the, seemingly, never ending swarm of bugs circled around him, stopping him from reaching his attended targets currently housed within the train.

A green blast coming from the direction of the train threw him onto the ground as pain erupted from his right shoulder. As he stumbled, maniacal laughter is heard. DK, now aware that the swarm seemed to stop, looked away from his wound to glare at them all, trying to find which of them was the one who hit him. The bugs made a path as a giant black and green bug with a crown slowly approached. A smirk upon its muzzle as it stood a few feet before him.

"Now listen here, monkey!" The bug spat, "You wish to capture The Element Bearers? Well get in line!" It cackled, unaware of the burning rage growing within DK as this new obstacle made itself known. "They are my prisoners! And I will not let them go!"

It wasn't long before he charged at it.

A green glow enveloped him as he lunged towards it, and soon enough Donkey Kong's momentum had him back on the ground.

"You mindless animal!" The bug snarled upon his grounded form, "Do you really think you can defeat me?"

"I have bested the princess of the sun! And as such, I will surely-"

A mighty roar from the ape stopped the giant bug from continuing as Donkey Kong, in a flash, rose and charged. Before the bug could react, Donkey Kong sprung into the air, his fists raised high above his head and his form eclipsing the bug as she stared dumbly. Snapping back to reality, his target leaped to the side, just avoiding his fists as they impacted the ground where the bug once stood. The ground trembled from his strike, causing the bugs to stumble, the giant one included.

It righted itself and looked at him in surprise. He glared back. The bugs gaze hardened and a green glow shined from its spike. Putting two and two together, Donkey Kong rushed it, noticing it's eyes widen as he got closer. The glow from its spike stopped as the bug dodged a powerful swing and back pedaled from him, trying to get some distance between them. DK wouldn't have it and continued with his offense.

'The ape is a lot faster than I originally thought!' Chrysalis thought, as she dodged another of the gorilla's powerful

swings. 'But no matter! It's attacks are wild. I just need to wait for the right moment to-'

A flash of light caught the changeling queens attention. As she turned towards it's location, she realized that it came from the train cart housing the elements. And all of her drones are here. Watching their queen take on a lowly beast.

"You fools!" Chrysalis bellowed to her changelings, "You've let the element bearers-" She stopped mid sentence as a shadow loomed over her.

She turned to her opponent with dread. Time seemed to slow as she turned to face the overgrown ape, and as it slowed, her life flashed before her eyes. From the day she hatched all the way to the day she invaded Canterlot, to right now. All to soon, an eruption of pain came from the top of her head followed shortly by the changeling queen impacting the very ground. Before she could even think how the ape had lodged her entire body into the very earth, Chrysalis, Queen of the Changeling, fell unconscious.

DK rose and looked over the form of the changeling queen he skull bashed head first into the earth. He snorted indifferently when one of her legs twitched. Satisfied, he turned to the spectators, the bugs cowered before him as he looked over them, searching for the thieves. DK's eyes fell on the train cart. He snarled and quickly went towards it.

The bugs quickly got out of the apes way as he rushed towards the cart and forcefully opened it. All he saw before him was another bug on the floor, it groaned as it tried to right itself. DK grabbed it and stared, trying to figure out if it was among the ones that dared to touch his precious hoard.

"P-please don't hurt me!" the bug squeaked out in fear after trying, and failing, to free itself from the gorilla's grasp. DK looked around the barren cart for the thieves before inspecting the bug again after not finding them.

"W-what?" it trembled, "Th-the bearers?" it asked in trepidation as DK continued to stare.

"They teleported out of here the moment the purple one freed itself." It proclaimed. Donkey Kong shot it a confused look in response. "Th-they most likely went to Canterlot! Wh-where they'll be safe." The bug trembled in his grasp, sweating profusely and smiling nervously at the ape.

The bugs eyes darted here and there, trying to find something that'll have the ape release it. It seemed to have found something as it stared at a certain area for a few seconds before looking back at the ape. Noticing that he was losing his patience with the bug.

"Th-there!" the bug proclaimed with a point from behind him. Donkey Kong turned towards the direction the bug was pointing and saw a tall lonely mountain in the distance. Said mountain had a castle latched on to the very side of it. "They went there!" the bug clarified.

Having heard what he needed, DK Released the bug and, with no little to no hesitation, ran. The bugs that remained went from trying to dig out the giant one, to darted out of his way in terror as he rushed past them and towards the mountain with a look of determination. This time he'll make sure the banana thieves won't escape from him.

The girls fell on to the floor in a heap with some grunts and groans as they appeared in Canterlot. A few passerby's looked towards them in either surprise or curiosity. But upon seeing the mares dirty and disheveled forms, those that stayed simply "Hmphed!" with there heads held high and returned back to there own business.

"Where are we now?" groaned Rainbow Dash, as the girls slowly rose, nauseous from the experience of a second teleporting.

"Canterlot." Twilight spoke up, also feeling a little light headed after having teleported the girls a long distance for the second time in a day.

"Canterlot?" Dash parroted in confusion before a look of anger flashed across her face as she turned towards Twilight. "Why the hay didn't you send us here in the first place!?"

"Could've been good and done with everything in a blink!"

"I was panicking! Okay!?" Twilight exclaimed with her hooves held high, "You'd panic too, if you where the only one who could teleport us all long distances while being minutes away from getting mauled by some, tie-wearing, overgrown ape!"

"Girls! Now's not the time squabble!" Applejack put herself in front of the two fuming mares, "Let's just give the Princess that there bunch Pinkie managed to snag, tell her about our run in with the Changelings, then head on back home. Alright?"

"...Fine. Whatever." Dash said, backing down and walking towards the castle. "Let's just get this over with." The girls looked at one another, before following suit.

The sun was setting as they entered the castle and throne room.

"Twilight." The Princess greeted "I take it you mission was a...?" She slowly stopped with a look of surprise as she got a good look at her student and her fellow element bearers disheveled appearance. "We're sorry for not looking presentable, Princess, but there is an urgent matter to discuss." Twilight began.

"During our mission, we've ran into an...'obstacle.'"

"An obstacle?" The Princess parroted.

"'Obstacle.'" Dash scoffed under her breath before being nudged by Applejack.

"We had discovered that the island that had appeared does have a few inhabitants." Twilight began, "And while the island does have inhabitants," she continued, "They where not very happy with us and drove us off there island."

"But before we left, however, Pinkie Pie had managed to collect a fruit from the island." On queue, Pinkie stepped forward and revealed from her mane the banana bunch for Celestia to get a better look at.

"Along with that," She continued, "During our journey back to Canterlot, we've stumbled across Queen Chrysalis and her Changelings attempting to start another invasion."

Celestia went from shock to a stern look. "Thank you for informing me of this matter Twilight. I will have the guards alerted of this matter immediately, as well as have our scientists further study what you have shown me."

"In the meantime," Celestia continued with a warm smile, "You and your friends are free to spend the night in the castle, as well as using it's accommodations how you see fit." With a bow, the bearers left the throne room and went towards the castle bath house for the pampering they so desperately needed and craved for.

It was night time Twilight was stirred awake from her slumber by a commotion. Upon opening her bedroom door Twilight found the guard rushing past her on high alert.

"Sir." Twilight said to the guard, only for the guard to rush past her.

"Excuse me," She tried again. And, again, the guard she tried to address ignored her in favor of hurrying towards the commotion as the rumbling began to grow.

"Guard!" Twilight shouted finally getting the attention of a couple, "What's going on? Why is everypony on high alert?" Before they could answer a loud rumble was heard followed by a tremor from the ground and some more shouting in the distance.

"What was that!?" Twilight exclaimed panically. The two guards looked at each other, seeing who would be answering before another guard came rushing towards them shouting, "What is this? A meet and great!? Let's get the lead out privates!!" Before forcefully shoving the two in the direction of all the shouting.

Having had enough, Twilight, eventually, went out of her room and started heading towards the direction of all the commotion. "Sugarcube!" Twilight stopped and turned as Applejack the others came to her with worry as another tremor started and further shouting was heard. "what's going on?"

"That's what I liked to know!" Twilight answered, "The guards aren't telling me anything, and all of them are heading that way for some Celestia known reason!"

"Well, what are we doing standing around here? Let's go follow them!" Dash exclaimed heading towards the direction of where the she had last seen the guards with the others following shortly after. They stopped with wide eyes as they found a bunch of day and night guard in a defensive circle around a dog pile of guards. There was a great tremor coming from the pile which caused even more of the guards to enter the dog pile. With little effort and a mighty roar, Kong emerged from within the dogpile, throwing all the guards that where on top of him towards the circle that had surrounded him. Upon making eye contact with the girls, Kong goes wide eyed in surprise before shifting into anger and charged at the girls frozen forms.

He was stopped, however by some of the guards, as they had just enough time to get up and hold him back with their magic and physical strength. "Go!" One of the guards shouted, "Alert the Princesses! We'll hold him off for as long we can!"

Shaking out of there stupor, the girls did just that and ran towards the throne room.

"Twilight! Girls!" Luna calls to them as they rush towards her, "What is happening?" She asks.

"Princess Luna!" Twilight begins, panicking as she could hear the muffled shouts from day and night guards trying to subdue Kong, "We have a crisis-!" Before any of the girls can explain further another tremor is felt followed by a muffled roar and what sounds like explosions.

"The changeling's have arrived!?" Luna exclaimed.

"No!" Rainbow says, "Worse!"

Before any of them could say anything else loud bangs are heard from the wall opposite to them, followed by a loud boom as the wall gives way and crumbles. DK jumps out of the hole he made. Breathing heavily, he glares menacingly at all within the room.

Shaking out of her stupor, Luna steps in front of the girls with a determined look, "Do not fret, my little ponies." Luna reassures them, "I shall deal with this, post haste!"

Wasting no time, DK charges at them with a mighty roar. Before he could do anything, though, Luna casts a spell and DK vanishes in a blinding light.

DK looks around in confusion as all he sees before is nothing but the stars above him and a white rocky terrain below his feet. Eventually he turns and finds a blue and green planet some distance from him, staring back at him. DK realizes he's on the moon. He glares menacingly back at the planet.

All is calm as the dust settles. Luna looks at them all with a smirk, "Post haste!"

"Uh..." Twilight began, "Princess Luna, what did you do to Kong?"

"The Ape's name is Kong?" She asked, before shaking her head and answering, "Worry not, young Twilight, I simply sent this 'Kong' somewhere far enough away to never be a burden to anyone!"

"And with that, we shall rest!" Having given her answer, Luna strolled back to her chambers, "Remind me, to alert the staff about the clean up we must do in the mor-GAH!" Luna stops abruptly, leaning on the wall as a look pain flashing across her face.

"...Princess?" Twilight and the girls go to Luna, as she looks at them all with equal confusion. that Confusion slowly morphs into a look of dread. "...N-no!"

"No?" The girls look at one another in confusion as Luna rushes up the stairs. they follow after her. "Princess Luna, are you alright?"

"It can not be!" Luna exclaimed, ignoring the girls as she hurried up the flight of stairs to the balcony. "I-it's not possible!" the look of fear still upon her face.

"What is it?" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, "What's going on!"

Upon reaching the balcony overlooking the entirety of Canterlot, looking for anything out of the ordinary. Having found nothing out of place in the city, the girls look towards Luna for an answer only to find her now pale features looking at her night sky. Slowly, the girls looked up as well.

their eyes became pinpricks.

"No way!" Rainbow gasps in shock.

They all look in horror as the moon is careening towards Equestria.
