> Screw Space!!! > by TheMajorTechie > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Watching The World Implode > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I kicked at a spud-shaped rock on the ground. All of a sudden, the rock began emitting a dense cloud of steam, from which my dad, Discord, emerged. Just as before, he had some sort of potato-related snack food with him. I jumped back in surprise. "DAD!" I yelled, "DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT!!!" I watched as my dad shrunk down to the size of a small toy. "Go pick on someone your own size!" He yelled from below. I chucked at the hearing of his remark. "Ok, dad, I get it." I said, "You don't like being picked on." He immediately grew back to his normal size, and replied to my comment. "Well duh I don't like to be picked on." He said sarcastically. I began to look around to avoid the conversation becoming awkward. "Pretty uh... potato-y here, y'know," I began in attempt to change the subject, "everything seems to made of potatoes, even the ponies..." "Well, you're right about the potatoes," dad said, "but are you sure that the ponies are too?" "Dad..." I groaned. I already could tell that he was trying to make it awkward on purpose. I changed the subject again. This time, I actually talked about something that I felt needed attention. "Dad," I began, "Do you feel like this place is just too... small?" Dad took a look around the place. "Yes, indeed it is," he replied, suddenly changing into quite a sir. He sipped a floating cup of tea as he spoke, "quite a rather tight place here." He proceeded to stuff his face in an unmannerly way with food. "Yeah," I replied back, "Do you think that there's anything we could do about it?" Through the mouthful of food, he exclaimed, "FEELING TIGHT? IS THE WORLD JUST TOO SMALL FOR YOU? THIS PRODUCT WILL MAKE YOUR DREAMS OF SPACE COME TRUE!!!" In a claw, he held a small "gadget" inside a clear box. I face-hoofed at the sight of the gadget that he had in his claw: a potato. "Dad," I whined, "stop it, I know that you know that I feel like this place is too small, but what are we really going to be able to do about it?" Dad wrinkled his face. "Idunno," he said dumbly, "what are we gonna do about it?" As he said that, I saw his face slowly warp back to that same grin that foretold a plan. I watched as dad popped yet another bite into his mouth before he begun talking again. "Well..." he began, "there's always the idea of joining more universes to this one..." I rolled my eyes at his plan. "Seriously, dad?" I shouted, "We already linked this universe to the Chaos Realm, and you think that linking more universes to this one will help?!" "Of course," he said slyly, "More space for chaos, don'tcha know?" The realization struck me like a spud to the brain. "Oooohhhhh... but what universes?" Dad stopped to think for a moment. "Well, considering that this universe is currently extremely unstable from the sheer amount of potatoes, I'd say that we'd have to link it to the main one to prevent anything destructive, say, the universe exploding." Suddenly, I felt the ground lurch beneath my hooves. "W-what's going on, dad?!" I shouted, "Why is the ground shaking so much???" All around me, I saw random objects, mostly potatoes, being launched into the air. Quite a few ponies also followed the potatoes' flight shortly after. Above us, a massive hole began to tear through the sky, smack in the middle of the "Spudn", this world's equivalent to the sun. The rays of translucent sour cream cast from the Spudn began to be sucked back towards it, finally entering in the hole. Spudlestia finally arrived with her most powerful mages a few minutes later. Even with their combined effort, the hole in the Spudn only grew larger, swallowing anything within it's reach. I felt dad's claws pick me up. "We gotta leave, Screwy," he whispered, "the world's imploding, and if we don't leave soon, we'll go with it." I braced myself as I felt the familiar sensation of interdimensional transport. Suddenly, I found myself standing on pure nothingness, the very fabric of multiverse itself. "Dad, did we make it?" I asked, I looked around. I couldn't find my dad anywhere. "Dad?" I said again, swimming through the vacuum of nothing. Not too far away, I saw this "tunnel", one of a massive assortment of colors. I quickly moved towards it, and entered. My chest heaved as I woke up face first on solid ground. Or at least, the closest thing to "solid" that anything could get in the Chaos Realm. I looked up, and saw my dad smiling. "Well then," he began, "did you like that short trip between universes alone?" I smirked. "Of course I did, dad," I replied. I looked back towards the portal. Looking through it, I could see the remnants of the imploded potatoverse. Another thing that I saw were massive potatoroids hurtling straight for the portal. "DUCK!" I shouted, doing what I had just said. Dad snapped his claws, and another portal opened up in front of him, sending the potatoroid into the harmony realm, the one that we usually live in. As I watched the potatoroid fly off inside the portal, I heard a small, miniscule voice. "Hello up there!!!" I looked around to see who said that. "Hey, down here!" It said. I looked downwards, obeying it's order. On the ground, was a small, moldy, potato.
