> Torn Apart > by Sparkletop Rainbows > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The Only Chapter > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Adagio's point of view) After being pelted by hurling objects in the air by the crowd, Aria, Sonata, and I hid behind the dumpster. After the Rainbooms were out of sight, Sonata said, "what do we do now?" "I..." I began, unable to think of a reply. "You said we could've had it all, Adagio. You said all of our troubles would be over," Aria said. "Well it isn't me fault, how was I suppose to know they had some kind of crazy power that was stronger then our magic?" I said. "Well, it is all your fault! If you never messed up in the first place, none of this would've happened!" Aria's voice started to rise. "I am trying my hardest to keep us together and keep us alive, and your being so ungrateful to the reason you were alive all this time! Without me, you would've died ages ago!" I shot back. "We would've been fine if it wasn't for you! You pressured us into doing what you wanted, not what we wanted, and you put us through a lot of pain just for your own selfish reasons! Maybe me and Sonata would have been better off without you!" Aria clamored. Sonata stood in the corner, away from the argument. Fear was in her eyes. "Maybe I'd be better off without you two anyways! You never care for what I do for you, and I go through all that trouble and suffering for nothing!" I screamed. Aria threw her and Sonata's shards at me, and left. The shards cut through my skin near my lips. I ignored the blood that seeped out. A few moments of silence have passed since Aria and Sonata have left. I squeezed the shards in my hand. Blood stained my hands from the sharp, broken edges of it. I let the shards fall to the ground. The blood dripped from my hands to the ground. Tears started to well up in my eyes. "I don't need them anyways..." I said to myself as I walked away. ... (Aria's point of view) I walked through the deserted park with Sonata. I could see dried up tears in her eyes. I held on a little tighter to comfort her. I've always acted like a jerk to her, but deep down I really cared for her. I just didn't want to show it outside. I didn't want people to think I was weak or anything. "Let's just rest here for a bit," I said motioning to the bench nearby. Sonata followed without a word. She curled up onto the bench while I slept on the other side. ... I figured I could manage without Adagio's help. I've always just wanted to take control, but Adagio always snaps at me when I try to. It just makes me feel so weak and vulnerable. I hate being just a follower, someone who just follows orders. I want to be the one who would give orders. I want to be the on in charge. Adagio just uses me and Sonata for power. Every time I think of her, I just get more angrier at her. It has been a long time since I've seen Adagio, anyways. I didn't count how long, though. Sonata told me it's almost been a year. I've been really worried about Sonata. She's been so... Empty. I can see it in her eyes. I know she's depressed. I walked inside our little apartment. It didn't really look like an apartment, though. It was more like a shabby tent. I did my best to manage it. We always move from place to place, trying to find an area with good resources. "Sonata?" I called out. "Sonata, where are you?" No response. "Sonata?" I called with worry in my voice. Where had she gone? I checked in the moldy corner where she use to hide. I checked in CHS where she use to scavenge for useful items. I remember those were the only two things she's ever been too. I don't know if she'd ever gone anywhere else. She always told me where she would be going. She wouldn't lie to me, right? As I was walking down the street, I saw a glimpse of blue. I ran toward it. "Sonata!" I cried after finding her. "Why did you just run away like that? You should've told me where you were going." I didn't push it any further, knowing how she had becoming. Sonata just stared at me with her empty eyes, then looked away. She followed me back to out makeshift home. The next day, I woke up and went to the food stash for some breakfast. I was about to go and wake up Sonata, but I realized the makeshift bed was empty. ... (Adagio's point of view) It has been a long time since I've seen Aria and Sonata. I miss my sisters deeply. I regret that quarrel we had after the Battle of the Bands. I've been searching for them ever since. I have also been helped by the Rainbooms. Even though we were enemies, they've helped me reform. They've given me a nice, cozy house, food, shelter, and other needs and comforts. I wish I could share this with my sisters. It has been about a year since I've seen them. I walked to the very high school that I tried to conquer. Everyone's been so nice to me lately. Sunset's really helped with reforming me. She told me that she'd also try to conquer the school for more power. That's a way we're similar. I decided to search once more for my sisters. I've decided after this last search I should give up if I didn't find them. It's getting more clear that I wouldn't find them ever. Sometimes I think that they might even be dead. I push those thoughts away. I don't want to think about them. I strongly believe that my sisters are alive somewhere, and they need my help. I could hear quiet sobbing. I ran towards it without a second thought. "Aria?" I asked. She just kept crying, and I turned to see why. There was a big spot of what looked like to be blood in an old, worn down sleeping bag. "No... It can't be..." I whispered. Sonata can't be dead. She just can't be. I didn't believe it. I held out my hand for Aria to grab, unsure if she would. To my surprise, she did. We ran to find Sonata. It took hours and hours, I've probably already missed school by now. I could see blue hair from the corner of my eye. "Sonata!" I called at the top of my lungs. "Sonata!" Sonata appeared, and ran towards me. "Adagio! I missed you!" She cried. I was a little shocked by the hug, but I accepted it. "I'm so glad your okay. I've been searching for you all this time," I said. "So have I. I knew we all needed to stick together. I've been trying to locate where you were. It took me days to finally km=now that you stayed right here all along.," Sonata said. "So that's why you've been going missing," Aria said. "Promise you'll never leave me again," Sonata said to me. "I promise."
